God a question, dial toll-free at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here’s the host of Bibleline, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Well, good morning and welcome to Bibleline it’s exciting to be able to be with you and we look forward to being with you each and every day. And today we’re coming to you from Jerusalem.
We’re in Israel and we’ll be all the remainder of this week and we’re in our hotel after a day of touring and this program will be aired in the morning for you and so you’ll hear what we did today in the morning. So we’re excited about being with you. By the way, you can call or 800 number. Our operators are there and they can take your offer questions and take care of any other questions you might have. So you might want to call 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771.
We have a wonderful group that has really been having a great time. And we get up early in the morning and have breakfast at a wonderful buffet in our hotel, including all kinds of things from fresh vegetables and tomatoes and cucumbers and all kinds of other garden things, fruit and of course eggs and other things and coffee and the normal things you have in the States. But we get to fill up with a good breakfast and then head out on the bus.
And this morning we were actually on the Temple Mount itself. The Temple Mount is in the southeastern corner of Jerusalem, the Old City, and the corner of that is traditionally called the pinnacle of the Temple. And it is a long way down. And here is where Jesus was taken by Satan during the temptations after he was baptized by John the Baptist. And Satan told him if he would cast himself down, if he were really the Christ and the Messiah, that angels would catch him and protect him and so on.
And of course that was one of the temptations. It’s a traditional site. We’re not really sure if that was really where that took place. But I’ve stood on the edge of that and it’s about 180 feet down. So that’s quite a leap if you jumped off of that. And of course, Christ didn’t succumb to any of the three temptations that Christ brought. But each of those were a counter to what happened back in the garden because there are three areas where we can be tempted and Christ was tempted in all three.
And obviously he was without sin. He’s the sinless Lamb of God that came to take away the sin of the world. So we’re going to talk about some of those things that we saw today and we’ll ask you to send your questions to us by calling the 800 number pornographic or going to our website Bibleline. This is the award deal.com and there you can go to our radio page by clicking on the spinning globe and it will come up with a place where you can type in your question in your first name in city and we will get that question and answer them here in Israel.
The weather is wonderful. We have had cool weather but sunny today and it was just great. So as the day went on it got a little bit warmer but most of us kept our jackets on all day today. Anyway, on the Temple Mount there stands two Arab mosques and obviously Islam didn’t begin till the sixth century and those mosques were built after that and we saw the El-Aqsa mosque which is the one with a dark dome and it’s built at the very sudden most wall of the Temple Mount platform.
By the way, that Temple Mount is about 35 acres, so it’s quite large. That mosque marks the spot supposedly where Mohammed landed when he went on his midnight ride. In the Koran it teaches that Mohammed had a flying horse and Mohammed took a midnight ride from Mecca to Jerusalem, which we believe never took place. In fact, it wasn’t about a year or so ago, an editor in the newspaper in Cairo said that it probably was a mistaken idea because he flew probably to Medina because the Quran teaches that when he arrived, there was an existing mosque and there were worshipers.
And obviously during his lifetime there were no mosques here in Israel or in this area of the world and nor were there any worshippers. So there was nobody there to greet him like it tells in the Quran. So in other words there is a change at least in some but most of them hold to the traditional view but of course I don’t believe he flew anywhere to Medina or to Jerusalem either. Anyway, in the core end it says he flew to the uttermost point or the furthest point that he ever went and they interpret that here to be Jerusalem.
But they say the furthest point would be that southernmost mosque on the Temple Mount platform. And of course we reject the whole idea. But it’s interesting though that his flying horse was called El Borach. Now, one of the interesting things about owning a flying horse is that when you arrive some place you must tie it down or you won’t have a ride home. And so, Mohammed tied his horse to the whaling wall and the Muslims to this very hour called the whaling wall El Borach, which is the name of Mohammed’s flying horse.
And so he still had his ride home when he was ready to leave. And then apparently he departed from the Dome of the Rock. And so both of these mosques are important in the Muslim world and commemorate Muhammad’s arrival in Jerusalem and departure, landing at Al-Aqsa departing on flight flying horse 101 from the Temple Mount platform at the Dome of the Rock. In any case, we reject the whole story of Mohammed’s called, lied here to Jerusalem. I don’t believe he ever, ever came to Jerusalem at all.
In any case, this is therefore the third place of importance in the Islamic world. The first is at Mecca, number two is at Medina, and number three here is at Jerusalem. And what is significant at Mecca is a meteorite that fell there in the desert sand, and mohammed uh… pointed out that this was a sign of friendship between god and mankind and uh… that uh… this rock was a point of contact in the sense of uh… prayer and so it’s only about twelve inches in diameter and once in a lifetime every uh…
muslim is obligated by the core and to make a visit to see this uh… little meteorite this black piece of rock that came in from outer space and actually millions come and they sit in these concentric circles outward and they uh… uh… completely surrounded uh… they try to kiss it but they have it enclosed in a clear class with a little opening but they all come up one by one and stick their tongue wiggling or trying to extend far enough to be able to touch the black meteorite and uh…
so uh… this is what happens on a yearly basis there are many that have made that journey who feel like that there is nothing worthless left worthy of seeing here on this earth and so they’ll take a hot iron and burn their own eyes out and those blind people who walk around here in the Middle East, that’s a sense of pride because they have seen the rock and now they feel there’s nothing worth looking at anymore and so they bind themselves by taking a red-hot iron and just burning each eyeball right out of their head.
And I’ve seen some of those here in Jerusalem and you’ll see them throughout the Middle East. But to me that’s a tragedy that people would do that to themselves, but that’s a part of Islam. We, of course, believe the truth of Jesus Christ sets one free, but Islam puts one in bondage, and to rules and so on. But in any case, these two mosques are of importance because of the connection supposedly to Mohammed and another rock, but the meteor is a major, major thing.
If you’re in Islam, you’re to pray five times a day according to the Quran and wherever you are, you aim your body toward that black rock. So if you’re south, you pray north. If you’re north, you pray south. If you’re east, you pray west. If you’re west, you pray east. How is it the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, which is one of the beautiful mosques in the world? When you go inside out of sync with all of the architecture is a niche that will give you the direction on the compass so that you can aim your body when you do your five prayers toward Mecca.
And most mosques will give you some type of a compass direction by a niche that points out which direction the mosque is. Here in Jerusalem in this one city you could wind up facing four or five or any number of degrees around the compass depending on which direction the rock is in Saudi Arabia. You couldn’t go in any direction but you have to go down or aim your body toward Mecca. And around the world that is what is the case.
And so that’s where Muslims pray because they have to pray to the rock. To me it’s idolaty. They really worship a rock. And of course they don’t like to hear about that there are dollars percents in that and that they’re rock worshipers, but every Muslim every day, five times a day, if they’re devout Muslims, will pray to that black rock. We know according to the Bible there’s only one mediator and that’s Jesus himself. In 1 Timothy 2, 5 it says there’s one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
So in order to get to God, according to the Bible, you have to go through Jesus and some try to go through Mary. But again, that’s wrong because there’s not two meters, there’s only one that’s Christ, plus Mary fits in the category of any one of us in the human race that have died. We’re forbidden in the Bible to pray to the dead. So to pray to Mary would be forbidden in the Bible, to pray to someone who has died.
We’re not to do that at all now if you wanted to get a message to somebody that is deceased then the best way to do that is to tell Jesus about it and Jesus I’m sure could convey your message to your relative that’s passed away if they’re in heaven and I think that he would transfer that message But to try to go to Mary to get a message to Jesus is absolutely incorrect. It doesn’t work Mary not only cannot hear your prayers she cannot answer your prayers and she is not the mediator and it’s very important to know that.
First Timothy 2.5 is a great verse to write down where it says there’s one God and one mediator between God and men the man Christ Jesus. Also we know that Jesus said in John 14.6, I am the way, the truth and the life and no No man comeeth unto the Father but by me.” So he didn’t say by me and my mother, but he said but by me. So Mary is not a way to God either. And Islam, of course, actually rejects Christ.
His death, his burial, his resurrection. Islam does not believe that Jesus is the Son of God, does not believe that he was crucified, the fact that he rose again from the dead. Therefore, everybody who is into Islam or any other world religion that rejects Jesus Christ is lost and they will not go to heaven according to the Bible. Peter made such a great definitive statement in Acts 4 verse 12 where he said about Jesus, neither is their salvation and any other, for there is none other name under heaven, given among men whereby we must be saved.
So there is only one name in which you could be saved. I remember being curious about that as a brand new believer. Was it possible for somebody who believed supposedly in God but rejected Jesus Christ, was it possible for them to be saved? And the answer is a clear no. They cannot be saved. And that’s exactly what Peter said in Acts 4, 12, neither is their salvation in any other or there is then other name. The name of Yeshua or Jesus is the only name.
In which there is salvation and there is no other name under heaven whereby we can be saved. And if you don’t trust Christ, you don’t go to heaven according to the Bible. In fact, the Bible says, whosoever denyeth the Son, that is Jesus Christ, the same hath not the Father in 1 John 2, 23. So if you reject Christ as being God who took on flesh the eternal Son of God, then according to that verse, You do not have the Father.
Isn’t that amazing? And there are lots of groups that are in that category, including the Jehovah’s Witnesses. So they are Jehovah’s Witnesses without Jehovah. Think about that one. Jehovah’s Witnesses without Jehovah. And that’s because they deny the Son. If you deny the Son, you don’t have the Father. And obviously the Witnesses claim they have the Father, but they reject the Son. So the Bible tells us that they don’t have the Father. So they are without Jehovah, supposedly the one that they’re witnessing about.
And the Bible is very, very clear on these points. In any case, we saw the two mosques and we also went north of that where we believe the new temple, the third temple will be built. This is the place where the ancient Jewish temple stood, the one that’s Solomon built, in the second temple that was built after the Babylonian captivity, but north of the present mosque you can see a line that would run from the eastern gate. The eastern gate in the eastern wall we saw the other day from the Mount of Olives.
It’s a big double gate that’s walled up and it’s been walled up for about 500 years. And this is the gate that Christ used to go in and out of the Temple Mount. And when he came into the Temple area through that gate, straight ahead was the Jewish Temple, the second Temple is the one that Christ would approach. And it was definitely nor of the other two mosques on the platform. And we know that the Turks had control of the whole area here in the Middle East from the 1500s on until World War I.
And we know that a Turkish sultan was told back in the 1500s that the Messiah would come back to that gate that wasn’t sealed then. And then he would then defeat all the enemies of Israel and the Israel then become the possessor of all the lands here in the Middle East. And the sultan said to his engineers, wall it up so Christ cannot come through that gate. And so it got sealed about 500 years ago. Ezekiel 44 tells us that this gate was to be sealed and is to this very hour and we can see how literal the Bible is.
If you have your Bible you can look at Ezekiel chapter 44 and it tells us here in verse 1, then he brought me Ezekiel back the way of the gate of the outward court or sanctuary, which looked toward the east and it was shut. Then said the Lord unto me, This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it, because the Lord the God of Israel hath entered in by it. When did the Lord the God of Israel enter in by that gate?
Well, the first coming of Christ, Jesus, God, and flesh went in and out of this gate, and the Bible says, therefore it shall be shut. It won’t be opened again until His second coming. It’s for the prince. The prince, he shall sit in the deep red before the Lord. He shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate. The same shall go out by the way of the same. So Christ is the one that that gate has been closed because of and will not be opened until He comes back.
an amazing prophecy fulfilled. You can look at any modern picture today of Jerusalem and see the Golden Gate, the Eastern Gate walled up just like the Bible said that it would. Now when Jesus comes back, He comes back through that gate and then He will go into a temple that will be built straight in line with it as you head west and we believe we stood over right where the temple used to be and where the holy of holies was.
The reasons why, and by the way this is Bibleline, I’m Dr. Anglins from You Can Call In. If you would like to leave an offer a question, we’ll try to get it in the next program we do and answer your questions. you have some that were provoking you to… The reason why the Jewish people were excited about coming to the Wailing Wall is because the ancient temple stood all the way back close to the western retaining wall around the Temple Mount Platform.
When you would come in the Eastern Gate, you would find first there would be a courtyard, and then the temple would be way back, set almost back to the Wailing Wall or the Western Wall. So the closest point of proximity to the ancient Jewish temple would be from the Western retaining wall, because there are obviously four retaining walls around the Temple Mount platform on the south, on the east, on the north. But the western one would be closest to the ancient holy of holies where God would actually show His presence, just like He did in the wilderness.
In the wilderness, God in the daytime would show His presence by a cloud that stood over the holy of holies, and at night there was a pillar of fire. That was true even before they had left Egypt when they were there as they were trapped before Moses parted the sea, this pillar of fire that night stood between the Egyptian army and the Israelis had protected them until the next morning when Moses held out his rod and the sea parted and they crossed across on dry land.
And then of course they followed in the daylight the cloud and at night if he had the move they followed the pillar of fire. And the great God did that for the forty years that they were in the wilderness. And then in Solomon’s temple the presence stood there over the holy of holies and so on and so on. So in any case that’s a very special place. Today if you go to the bottom of the western retaining wall it’s 80 feet below the present street level.
And at the very base, there is like an arch where they don’t open. It’s like a gate that’s unopened. And they believe that it would really spark a religious war if they They tried to open that now, but they believe right above that a little further into the east of the western wall is the actual place of the holy of holies. And I was told when I went through there that if you touch that wall there that you’d get a shock or an electric spark.
And I touched it high, I touched it low, I touched it left, I touched it right, I didn’t get any spark. I don’t try to, you know, put something there that’s not there, but apparently there’s some people that they say they get a little jolt. But I got nothing. I think that’s probably, you know, people’s emotions, carrying them away. But in any case, it is the closest place you could be. And of course, we were probably right over the top of the Holy Apollis.
The Jewish person would not walk up on the top of that area unless they should walk in the Holy of Holies, which is forbidden for the Jew. When the temple was standing at least, they were not to walk. Only the High Priest could go in once a year into the Holy of Holies. But we obviously today were walking very close, if not, right over the place where the ancient temple stood, and where the third temple will be built after we leave at the rapture.
At least myself was really impressed with everywhere we looked and in conversations in the speech we can sense and feel in here the desire of the Jewish people to rebuild that third temple. In fact in one of the shops in the window it said that this is a good time to buy a model of the temple before the real temple is rebuilt. In other words, a very positive statement of the expectation of the Jewish people that temple will be built soon.
We just heard in all the shops and in conversation, in signs and messages that we were getting at the Jewish people are looking forward to that third temple being built. This is Bibleline. I’m Dr. Ankerman. I’ve been telling you some of what we’ve done today, but that’s just a small portion. We really have had a busy day, and we saw so much. We’ll share more of that when we get into the second half hour. I hope you’ll be listening for that.
If you’re listening right now and you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, you need to do that. There’s only one way you can go to heaven according to the Bible. Old and New Testaments alike. The God of the Bible claims, I even am the Lord, and beside me there is no Savior. And then he says that we simply come to Him, And you can… You can of course join us for, you can take a look at these passages and see that Christ is the only way when you trust that He died for you.
Patriot sins was buried and rose again from the dead. God saves you. If you’ve never done that, you can do it right where you are. You could say Lord I’m the sinner. I don’t understand much about the Bible, but I believe Jesus Christ died for me. paid for my sins was buried and rose again from the dead and the moment you do got up and heaven knows any saves you and he forgives you. We’ll be back next week to Bible and headquarters at Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida and of course we always invite people to come by and see us whether you’re coming into town for some reason or whether you live in the area.

We’re having a wonderful time. We feel completely safe. and we’re seeing so much. In fact, many of our group have expressed that it’s more than they can take in mentally. It’s more than they can digest, and many of them want to return on the next trip.
And we’ll be taking another trip, maybe you want to consider being a part of it. Also, would you consider praying for us here in Israel, but also praying for Bibleline? And if you haven’t given a gift to Bibleline in the month of March, would you consider giving a gift? You can call 800 number or operators are there able to take your call and you can give a gift by credit card over the phone or you can give it by mail.
All you have to do is ask if you’d like for us to send you an envelope with the address already on it and we’ll do that and you can send your gift by check through the mail or a lot of people prefer to give their gift by credit card over the phone. We certainly want to thank all of you who give and those that will give this month and we want to thank you in advance. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
You are really our life because we are totally supported by our listeners. And again, without you, we really could not be on the air. So thanks in advance for giving. Also, this series of radio programs will probably be made available when we get back. If you would like to get that series, we will talk about it when we get back and we will try to let you know then which programs will be available as a package so that you can kind of follow our journey here on the Middle East Rim Israel.

Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from this break and this is Bibleline. It’s great to be with you. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We’re coming to you from Israel. We’re in our hotel here in Jerusalem and we’re… And we’re excited about what we’re about to see and have had some wonderful experiences today as we have come down from the Galilee to Jerusalem and looking forward to what we’re going to see in this southern more part of Israel.
And we hope that you will be listening every day and catching these updates and so on. We are also doing some filming for television and we’ll be able to edit those into our television programs and you’ll be able to see some of the things that we have seen just as we saw them and the beauty of this land and of course the special sites that we have visited. We were at the place where Armageddon will get cranked up at the time when price returns seven years after the Rapture, the Battle of Armageddon will occur and Armageddon is really a city that is just right now a hill of many cities built one upon another and the tell or the hill that is created by a city being destroyed and then they recycle everything and they build another layer and then that city is destroyed and they build another.
Mgiddo is really a name that we get from the name of the city, Mgiddo. In Armageddon we get it from the word for hill in Hebrew is har, and the word Mgiddo. And when you pronounce that har-mgiddo, in English we don’t pronounce the H sound, so it’s instead of har-mgiddo, it’s ar-mgiddo or ar-mgiddo. And it’s only mentioned once in the Bible. But this is apparently where the first nuclear missile will strike to set off a world war. I compare it to being the Pearl Harbor of World War II when the Japanese struck Pearl Harbor that meant we were in the war from that point on.
And when Russia strikes at Armageddon as the The Bible describes that Russia will set this thing off, that the whole world will become involved in a nuclear exchange that will take one third of all the lives of all the people on the planet Earth. We’re going to take a few minutes here and go to some off-air questions. If you’d like to leave one, you can call our 800-number of 1-800-576-3771 and leave an an off-air question with the operators or you can go on the internet and go to our radio page which is by clicking on the spinning globe and as soon as that page comes up you’ll see a blank spot there to type in your question and a spot to type in your first name and the city you’re calling from.
We have an anonymous caller from Richmond, Virginia that just called in and left this question. How can you say, once saved, always saved, if you are saved and go out and do the same things you always did? Sleeping with men and making babies, etc. You are going against God. Well, I’m assuming that this is anonymous or misanonymous is one calling in here because that seems to be implied here in your question. Well the answer is we’re saved forever and it doesn’t matter what you do after you’re saved.
I know some people are going to say, whoa, what are you saying? As you have just said in your question, but our life, our behavior has nothing to do with our salvation. And so you’re saved by trusting Christ, but it doesn’t mean that there are no consequences. If you are saved and you attempt to live as you please with disregard to God’s Word, then God is going to thank you and in some cases he takes believers home to heaven.
early. So these are things that happened. We had a fellow in our church that got saved shortly thereafter. He went out and had an affair and he got AIDS. And he said, Hank, I was just one time. I never did it before or after. But he said, I know this is God dealing with me and within… within one year we buried him. He was dead. So the Lord took him out and not everybody is taken out the same way, but certainly the Bible talks about God chasing the believer.
In 1st Corinthians 1130 it talks about sin and the life of believers and it says for this cause many of you are weak and many of you are sickly and many of you sleep. That means they were dead. But it talked there about how we should judge ourselves and get our lives in order and then God doesn’t have to judge us. But if he does have to judge you, if you’re going to be rebellious and be disobedient as a Christian, then you’re going to have the discipline of God in your life, which could also mean loss of your life.
He could take away your life. But also you’re going to stand accountable at the judgment seat of Christ and that is a judgment which will determine the rewards you’ll receive in heaven. you might enter heaven with no rewards because you hadn’t done anything to earn any. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3-8, every man shall receive his own reward according to his labor. So, if you haven’t done anything for the Lord, then you’re not going to have any rewards when you get to heaven.
So, anonymous in Richmond, you’re saved once and for all and forever. Jesus made that promise in John 637 that he would not know why he cast out anyone who came to him and even better in John 639 he said he would not lose one person that had come to him. So, if one person in all of history were ever lost, Jesus would be a liar and the Bible would be wrong. But he does promise to chase and discipline his children and he also says that we are going to give an account at the judgment seat of Christ.
We have Jim in North Tampa. He calls in with this question, where is this scripture in the Bible be where when the foreign ruler rules over your head? I really don’t know that that verses in the Bible. I’ve never seen it and I don’t have a clue. So I think maybe you need to go back and find out if you can come up with something better. But I don’t know of a verse that says that. We have Brad in Richmond, Virginia, and it says, where was Rachel buried?
It says in Genesis in Bethlehem, and the answer is in Bethlehem. So Rachel’s buried just as you enter Bethlehem as you head south from Jerusalem to Bethlehem. There is a tomb commemorating Rachel’s death, And I hope that answers your question. We have Romeo calling in. Wow. And he’s calling in from Tamarack, Florida on the east coast of Florida. And he says, what does it mean faith without works is dead. What it means is not what some people are saying.
Some people say, if you have no works and you have a dead faith, that means you have no faith. That means you’re not saved. That’s not what it’s saying at all. If you read James 2.26 it says, as the body without the Spirit is dead, in the same way faith without works is dead. So what does that mean? When you obviously want to show somebody else you have faith, they can’t look inside your brain or wherever they would find faith on the inner part of your soul.
And so they have to depend upon your works to identify whether you’re a believer or not. And that’s really what it’s talking about. And in the same way it says as the spirit without the body is dead. You know, when a person dies, their soul and spirit leave their body and are absent in the body and present with the Lord. So if I drop dead right now, you could come up and tickle me. You could talk to me and I wouldn’t answer.
There’d be no vital signs and they would soon, I’m sure, take care of this body and there’d be a funeral and so on. But yet, think about it, I’d still be very much alive. I have eternal life ever since I trusted Christ. And I would get a brand new body in heaven later at the event of the Rapture, but I’d still be very much alive. So what is talking about here is that my body… He is absolutely necessary to display the life of my soul.
As long as I have my body, I can wiggle, I can talk, and I can move about, I can reach out and touch you or hit you, and you know I was alive. But if my body were to drop dead and I didn’t have the body to be a way of demonstrating my life, then I would still be alive, but I wouldn’t be able to demonstrate it or show it. In the same way Faith Without Works is that you need works.
It’s like the body to the soul and your works are a means of displaying your faith. So if you do no works then nobody is going to know you have faith. I remember as a new believer praying for my dorm at the University of Florida while I was a student there and I said, Lord, this is really a heathen place. Would you send people please in here and get these people saved? They need you desperately. I pray that prayer every night for I don’t know how long and nothing ever happened.
Then all of a sudden it dawned upon me. Why is God needing to send somebody in here when I’m already here? Why does he have to send somebody from a long way off when I could tell them? Maybe that’s the answer to my own prayer. Maybe you want to send me. And I began to talk to guys at my dorm and I let a lot of people to Christ right there in my dorm. My prayer was answered. God used me as the vehicle to bring the gospel to them.
So until I got involved with my works and went and knocked on their dorm rooms and engaged them in a conversation and explained the gospel, nothing was happening. So Faith Without Works is dead. There was nothing happening until I began to work for Christ. That’s really what James is talking about. And James is talking about rewards, not how to be saved. James says, what the prophet, my brethren, and my brethren means they were believers. And he says, what profit will you have?
That’s talking about rewards. Salvation is never, ever talked about as a reward. It is the gift of God. So eternal life is the gift of God. something he gives us, but we can earn rewards and that comes about through our works. We have Charles calling in from Lansing, Michigan and he says, do you have to have the Holy Spirit to go to heaven? And the answer is absolutely you do. In Romans 8, 9 it says, if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
So if you don’t have the Holy Spirit, you’re not saved and you’re not going anywhere. But to receive the Holy Spirit, you simply trust Christ. Then God the Holy Spirit comes and dwells in your body. In John 739 Jesus spoke about the Holy Spirit that those which would believe on Christ would receive. Galatians 3 talks about how did you receive the Spirit? It tells us it’s by faith. you trust Christ, then God the Holy Spirit comes and dwells in your body.
So Charles, yes, if you’ve trusted Christ, you do have the Holy Spirit. If you have not, you do not have the Holy Spirit, and without the Holy Spirit, you will not go to heaven. Lee in Tampa, Florida calls in, and Lee says, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but the air, the wicked one, we are told to pray for our enemies. Why? Well, that’s not a real good quote, but partially right. In Ephesians 6, 10 through 12 in particular, it talks about we’re in a spiritual war.
And that Satan is the enemy. And Satan through his demons and through using people that are not saved, he really gives out position to the believer. So although you may be dealing with another human being, behind what that human being is doing, we have Satan who is actually the ruler of this world and the Bible says that he actually influences unsaved people to carry out his bidding whether they realize it or not. And in Ephesians it talks about how those that are children called children of disobedience and by the way that disobedience is to the gospel.
a person who refuses to believe the gospel doesn’t trust the gospel is a child of disobedience and Satan is the one who works directing their paths basically and so we are to pray for our enemies because they’re under Satan’s spell and they need to see the light and it says in 2 Corinthians 4-4 that God of this world has blinded the minds of those which believe not. Thus the light of the Glorious Consul with Christ and China. So the answer to the why, why we should pray for our enemies, because we need to win them to Christ.
And then they would no longer be our enemies. We have been in Richmond, Virginia. And Ben says, does the word will, W-I-L-L, in the Bible mean God’s desire or will? In some cases it does, and you have to read the context. And we know it tells us in some places, for example, John 640, this is the will of the Father that everyone that’s in the Bible, God is in the Bible. seeeth or recognizes who Christ is and believeth on his son would have everlasting life.
It’s also his will that nobody would be lost once to become saved. John 639 says, this is the Father’s will and of all which he hath given me, I should lose nothing. So this is Bible and by the way, and we’re coming to you from Jerusalem and Israel. And again, I want to share with you that you can hear these programs again. You can also order some of our teachings on cassette rather than DVD or CD and that will be a great aid to you I’m sure.
But also we have a lot of wonderful books in our resource center. You can look at them if you go to my website and go to the online bookstore but you can also call our 800 number and we’ll send you out a resource sheet. But I have bought thousands of books and most of them I think are worthless. And so to save you all the time that I went through discovering which were good, which were bad, if you just look at our resource sheet or go on our on my bookstore you’ll see these are books that I would recommend and they will help you I think in your Christian growth and you won’t have to go through the time wasted to buy books that are just not right or not correct.
So I hope that will be a hint that will help you and we would love to have you take a look at our bookstore or our resource sheet and order some of these things. A lot of people have told me just by listening to Bibleline they’ve learned more about the Bible in 30 days than they have in 30 years in their church. That’s amazing in it. 30 days listening to the Bible, I listen and learn more than 30 years in a church.
I hear that all the time because apparently churches are failing to do the job. And that is a sad commentary on the churches today because the pastors apparently don’t know the Bible and most pastors don’t. They don’t have time. A friend of mine who deals with pastors likes to ask the question, have you read the whole Bible through? He is shocked to find that more than 50% of the pastors he asked that question of say no they haven’t. They haven’t read the whole Bible through.
Isn’t that amazing? I mean you think if this is their life profession they would certainly read the textbook and read the whole Bible through. But most pastors haven’t and then those who have read it through haven’t read it ever since. So they don’t have any clue either. So that is absolutely amazing. I have found many are really themselves really in a different mindset than the Bible has all together. I talked to one priest and he said he didn’t believe in heaven or hell.
I said you’re kidding. said no. And I said why don’t you just quit your job and do something else. I said you’re a seaver. I mean people come to your church to find and seek spiritual truth and you’re admitting to me that you don’t believe in him. And he said no. He says I was, I did this because my dad wanted me to be in this profession. And so he just chose to do that. And that happens unfortunately all too often.
I had a lady come to me in Tampa and she said Would you pray for our pastor, one of the largest churches in Tampa? And I said, I’d be happy to. What would you suggest I pray for him about? She said that he would get saved. She says everybody seems to know that he’s not saved. And we want to pray that he’ll get saved. And I said, that would be great. I’ll be happy to pray for your pastor’s salvation.
And you’d be surprised how many times I hear things just like that. From parishioners who get saved and say, my pastor doesn’t know Christ. would you pray that we could get him saved? That’s great. I certainly will put that on the top of my list because it certainly would be great if he believed what he’s supposed to be preaching rather than being an unsaved pastor. So in any case, all to open that happens. That’s sad, but that’s true. And of course that happened in the time of Christ with the Pharisees.
Jesus in Matthew 23 said, Woehen, you scribes and Pharisees, for you’re either entering Heaven yourself. Nor are you allowing those who would want to enter to enter in because you’re the blind leading the blind and if the blind lead the blind they’ll both fall into the ditch. And boy do we have that in Christianity today as well which is really a sad commentary on the church and the state of the church at this moment in time in history. But of course that’s what the Bible said would happen in the last days.
It said in 2 Timothy 4, 8, chapter 4 verse 3, that the time would come when they would not endure sound doctrine, but would heap to themselves teachers because they have itching ears that want to be entertained. And they would turn away their ears from the truth and be turned unto fables. That’s fiction. And if you noticed, I have noticed this over the years that I’ve been saved. more, there’s Christian fiction out there everywhere. Some are decent or good I guess in some aspects, but much of it is really wrong.
And so we need to watch out the da Vinci code. That’s fiction. Look at how many people bought into that nonsense and thought it was real or part of it was real. And that’s fiction. And then we have this latest one as the Jerusalem post-reported the raiders of the lost tomb. The nonsense about a tomb being left with Jesus’ bones in that. And of course Christ didn’t leave any bones. He went bodily back to heaven. And I guess the Jerusalem Post enjoyed putting that out as a kind of mockery of it.
But apparently in the article I read there were 15 top archaeologists here, Jewish archaeologist is that that’s all nonsense. That whole thing is just to sell. And apparently a lot of people have bought into that because they don’t do their homework. Everybody is now just I guess a victim of the two, whatever they see on the television because that seems to be authoritative. They believe it whether they have investigated it or not. But I think we’re living in a time of fiction.
And of course we saw the movie or heard about the movie by C.S. Lewis, the Chronicles of Narnia. That’s all fiction. And I don’t believe that C.S. Lewis was even a Christian. If you read his belief system, he didn’t believe in hell. He believed in evolution, believed the Bible was flawed, and believed you could lose your salvation. He believed even that an atheist or even a Satanist could be saved. Because he said ultimately God will take their religious fever and turn it to good and apply it as good works to get them to heaven.
He was so far from the truth that I don’t think he He was a Christian at all. He was a brilliant guy, but he was, I think, also an alcoholic. And I don’t think he was a good Christian testament if he was a Christian in his lifestyle and so on and so on and so on. But again, people are buying into fiction. So Hollywood, or rather, Disney, makes the movie and the books become popular again and selling and I said on the radio when a movie is coming out I think C.S.
Lewis was a Christian. Oh my goodness I had a professor in the Bible college said broke his heart that I would say such a thing. So we had some dialogue and I said if you can prove different please show me I’ll look at it but I don’t believe he was even close to being a Christian. And And that’s what happens, the cults fool people the same way. The Mormons certainly aren’t even close to being Christians. The Mormons, by their own admission, teach that they’re aliens.
Did you know that? They came here from the planet Cola. And that’s just for real, I’m not making that up. But their spirit, God, Elohim, was having all kinds of spiritual children. And so they had a council with twelve of his sons. And they drew lots and fell upon Jesus and he was to come here and become the Adam God and produced bodies for the many souls, the spirits that Elohim had created. And so there was a migration from the planet Kohl into this planet Earth.
And then Lucifer, one of his, the brother of Jesus at that council of twelve, was bitter and anger. And so he followed and came down to the earth and they’re not too loud about this but they say the black race came from Lucifer coming up and following up with another race of bodies for these spirits that were out there produced by Elohim. And of course they want to be real quiet about that, but that’s absolute nonsense. And you and I know that.
But that’s Mormonism at its best. I mean, there’s not much good about Mormonism, but that’s one of their amazing poison. They can’t even be our asylum on now. We’re going to have to run and conclude this program. We sure thank you for tuning in today. And I hope that you will listen while we’re here in Israel as you’ll bring you some updates and accounts of what’s going on here. If you would like to leave a question, you could call our 800 number and leave it that way.
And if you wanted to give us a question, you could call our 800 number and leave it that way. And if you wanted to, you know, get a question. get some of our literature, our resource sheet. It’s a… Maybe you’d like to give a gift to Bible and you can all do. You can do that all through the telephone number that we give out, 1-800-576-3771. We’re closing out the program, but we certainly hope that you’ll tune us in again tomorrow.
In the meantime, we hope you’ll keep looking up. We believe Jesus is coming and very soon. And it seems to be quite obvious. God bless and have a great day. We look forward to be with you to BARP. Be sure to tune in for another edition of Bibleline from Calvary Community Church. For example, Florida, yeah, they have. There’s certainly a couple of people who just don’t have any info. They’re sitting down here to see what they’re doing. Finally, the US program began on the internet anytime you might like to. And we had an interesting experience last night. We invited a bunch of Christians from Nigeria to visit our meeting. And one of them stood up and said that he listens to me regularly in Nigeria.
What a meeting, huh? From the hand of God to bring us to Israel and them from Nigeria. And here we meet together. And he says he’s a regular listener to us on the internet in Nigeria. That certainly is the hand of God. And that was exciting. And they’re supposed to get in here tomorrow night. And we hope to hook up this week while their group is here as well. And we’ll be able to share thoughts and experiences with them.
In any case, we hope that you’re also listening, wherever you might be. 147 countries have logged in this year. We had last year a million 300 hits on our website. And we know we have almost 15,000 listening to our radio program just on the internet for getting the broadcast stations that were on. If you’d like to help Bibleline, we certainly would ask you to pray for us. And if you could give a gift to Bibleline, that would be greatly appreciated.
We definitely are trying to get this message out as far as we can and we don’t pay any salaries. I don’t take a salary in order to any of our staff. We volunteer ourselves because we believe this is so important to get this message out. So everything goes into paying for radio time, satellite time, equipment time, phone bill time and all that kind of stuff that really mounts up rather quickly. we hope that you’ll be willing to consider helping us to keep this program coming to you.
We’re going to have to run. We’ll be back tomorrow and in the meantime we hope that you’ll be telling us about the program and help us grow our audience. We have friends in other parts of the world tell them about the internet site that they might tune into this program and just keep looking up because we believe Jesus is coming and we believe he’s coming soon.
