That page will come up and there’s a place right there.

Ask your question and this type in your first name and the city you’re calling from and we’ll try to take that question quickly. I know we have questions coming in every day and we’re getting them through the internet and we’ll be able to answer them We’re in the city of Jerusalem and today we went down to the Dead Sea and some of our group got into the Dead Sea and experienced floating. It’s quite an experience. We had people with their arms and their legs out of the water and on their back and just experiencing a remarkable thing which is you can’t possibly see how you could drown and so many sat on you, but you’ll definitely not be able to sink up your own accord.

You float and it’s incredibly buoyant. The water is clear and has a little bit of an oiliness to it because of its tremendous salt content. Nothing lives in the Dead Sea, but yet the water is clear and beautiful in color and the fun part is to of course lay in that water. We happened to be at a site today for our swim where there was some of the black mud that you hear about in the black sea, which has cleansing and healing qualities and so on.

Some people were rubbing that on their bodies and so on. Our group did the same, didn’t even recognize them. They looked totally different with the black mud on them. But anyway, we had fun, rinse that off and so on. But we saw Masada, which was a place where Herod built a fortress. You know, in the wintertime, it’s nose in Jerusalem and can be quite cold, but it’s usually quite warm down at the Dead Sea. So this was like a winter vacation place and also a fortress, as Herod was somewhat paranoid.

And if he got in trouble, he had places to go to stay protected from an enemy. And certainly this is one of those. We went up by cable car, 1200 feet from the shore there of the Dead Sea. And the cable car, I don’t know how many it held, but we were crammed in like sardines and went up real smoothly. And there we experienced the top of the hill of Masada. It’s like a flat plateau and there was only really one way to access that.

It was by a snake path that wound up on the front side. Very easy to defend because a couple of people on top can throw big stones down on anyone coming in and they didn’t have a chance. And they had large reservoirs of water and food that could carry them through a siege for years and years. And when the Romans came in AD 70 to destroy Jerusalem and the city there, the last holdout was 960 Jews who had gone to the top of Asada.

and the Romans decided they were going to take them, and it took them three long years. And the way they took them was by building a ramp up on the west side, and finally when they were able to break through the walls, the people on top decided that it would be better to die and to be a slave and be abused by the Roman army. army and so they drew lots and chose different ones that would kill different numbers of their families.

So finally you had 10 men left and then he would kill the other nine and finally kill himself. So when the Romans got to the top they found all these bodies and obviously the victory was stolen away from Rome. The young Israeli soldiers even in this day go there before they get their gun and are actually official To in a sense say that we must not ever let the sodaphol again knows the Jewish people make about a fight to the death to keep and preserve their land and it’s really a fascinating Event we found that in the synagogue they found a portion of scripture there written, which was a quote from Ezekiel 37 in the vision of dry bones.

And that vision was that God would bring dispersed Jewish people back to their homeland. And when they discovered that fragment of that, we were told today that grown men, soldiers, hardened soldiers, wept like babies because they were living out the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies of the Jewish people going back to the state of Israel. Truly, we’re seeing that right now. Jewish people here from all over the world that are brought back by God. God says in Jeremiah 30 that I will cause them to return to the land and it says they shall possess it.

Jeremiah 30 verse 3. And it’s interesting that a lot of Jewish people, if you talk to them and ask them why they have come here, they say they really don’t know. They just felt a desire and a tug to come here and they’ve come back from countries all over the world to reestablish the state of Israel. And so we saw really, I think a very significant part of Jewish history that has been an inspiration to the youngest remedies that have come back, that they are going to fight to preserve their freedom that they have here in this land.

We know that that is a very incredible place as Herod built his winter policy on three terraces to the north, and he had food granaries, cisterns that held thousands and thousands of gels of water so they could withstand a siege for 10 or 20 years and have food and water to take them through. And so that was a fascinating visit for us and of course we also saw in Getty. And Getty has a natural spring and a waterfall and there’s life there and it has been for centuries and centuries.

In fact, King David there was confronted by Saul, and David could have killed Saul, but He chose not to. And… This was, of course, an indication not only to David that he had delivered his enemy into his hand, but also David chose not to kill Saul. And Saul said, now I know that you’re the next king of Israel. And so David obviously became the next king, and David was a good king. Saul was very disobedient to the Lord and did not follow his instructions, and so it ultimately cost him his life and his kingdom.

We went on to see the waterfall at a distance at Engedi, and we read the passages there from the scriptures in 1 Samuel 24 that talks about how David went to Engedi, and there he went into a cave and there he found Saul asleep and could have killed him, but cut off a part of his garment and later showed him, I could have killed you. Here’s part of your robe that I’m holding in my hand and Saul realized that wow, he could have been dead, had it not been for David not wanting to really kill him at all.

And of course we went to Kumaan, which was a very fascinating place on the Dead Sea at the northwest corner of the sea, a little settlement of Kumaan where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in late 1947 and November. And that was of course one of the most significant discoveries. What is interesting to me is that at the same time that the United Nations decided in 1947 to allow the state of Israel to be formed here in the Middle East.

At the same time, it was in late 1947 that God brought the Word of God back in a sense from the dead, as the nation is being brought back from the dead. And here we have these ancient scrolls of the Old Testament wonderfully preserved because of the climate there at the Dead Sea. and these two things are coming together at the same time. What a witness that is to Israel of the scriptures. One of the scrolls that was found in its entirety was the Isaiah scroll.

The Isaiah scroll in particular is fascinating for several reasons, but one is because of the many prophecies about the Messiah. If you go to the shrine of the book, which we will visit tomorrow, in Jerusalem, the Isaiah scroll is just played prominently right in the heart of that museum. And it’s there in its entirety, all 66 chapters of that book. And beginning early on, it starts talking about the Messiah. Isaiah 714, written 740 years B.C. over for Christ ever came, said, therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign, behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Emmanuel.

Emmanuel being a Hebrew word that means God dwelling with you. So God was going to come to the earth and take on a human body born of a virgin. And Isaiah tells of that 740 years before he ever comes. If you read Matthew chapter 1, Matthew quotes that passage where Joseph is told that Mary would conceive and bear a son and would call his name Emmanuel and says that the scripture might be fulfilled which said, just what we just quoted from Isaiah 714.

Isaiah chapter 9 tells us unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Incredible prophecy about Christ, God who would take on human flesh, a child would be born that speaks of the flesh, a son given, speaking of the eternal second member of the Godhead, God the Son, would actually come in and dwell a human body and that one day at the second coming Christ would rule over the whole earth, the governments of this world would be upon his shoulder, but that would happen at the second coming, but his name would be called Wonderful Counselor.

The mighty God, Jesus Christ is God. He’d be called the everlasting Father, he’d be called the Prince of Peace. This is Bible and I’m Dr. Englund’s treatment. talking to you from Israel and we’re having an exciting trip. There’s nothing more exciting I think to see the accuracy of the Bible and to see the things right where they happened and to see the fulfillment of Scripture before our very eyes. And of course the Dead Sea Scrolls are incredible, fine, because also they are the oldest existing manuscripts of the Old Testament in existence.

Up until the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest manuscripts of the Old Testament were dated around 1200 years 80. and the The Old Testament fragments and scrolls found at Kumran are dated back to 200 years BC. That means we’ve now moved back 1400 more years into the past. And what is amazing is that it just demonstrates how accurately the Bible has been transmitted to us and there are very little differences between the dense sea scrolls and the Old Testament books that you and I have in our Bible.

is an amazing and wonderful confirmation of God preserving His Word and giving it to us accurately over the centuries. In particular, a lot of speculations have been silenced forever. Some have imagined because the amazing prophecies in the Bible, many have said that this had to be history and purported to be prophecy. For example, Isaiah, some liberal theologians have imagined two and sometimes three different authors of Isaiah. Because the prophecies are so clear they said they had to be histories, they could not possibly have been prophecies, they just didn’t really believe in divine inspiration.

But since you have a copy found among the scrolls there at Humran of Isaiah that stated 200 years before Christ, obviously the originals were written much sooner and they could not have been written 80 or after Christ. The whole book had to be written by one Isaiah before Christ ever came. So that silences the critics and they just have to find out that they put their foot in their mouths and embarrass themselves because they speculated and were clearly wrong.

But it also proves all the rest of the Bible was genuine prophecy. The prophecies of Christ were not written after He came, but were written before He came, and by hundreds of years, and were literally fulfilled by Christ coming here on the earth. And obviously that’s why I believe the Bibles were of God, because it tells the future, events and the life of Christ as well long before he ever came. And so in the museum, in the front of the book, in Down Hunter, Jerusalem, you will see the entire Isaiah scroll.

And if you were to say, is there a book that condenses the whole Bible, Isaiah is that book because it’s 66 chapters and there are 66 books in the Bible. And Isaiah is pretty much an outline of the whole book. When you get to the book of Revelation, you find in the 66th book of the Bible, it talks about a new heavens and a new earth. Guess what do you see in chapter 66 of Isaiah, a new heavens and a new earth?

I mean, it parallels the Bible. Isaiah divides into two halves. the thirty nine books of Isaiah and then the twenty seven books of Isaiah the total of sixty six and that’s exactly the way the Bible splits. The thirty nine books of the Old Testament compared to the thirty nine chapters of Isaiah that are the first portion and then the twenty seven books of Isaiah the latter part compared to the twenty seven books of the New Testament and when you start out in Isaiah chapter forty which would be equivalent to Matthew it starts right off of the prophecies about John the Baptist exactly like Matthew does, and it starts off with the ministry of Christ and John the Baptist introducing Christ.

And it’s just absolutely amazing phenomena. And I believe God wanted that particular book to be found in its entirety and obviously be a witness to Israel, right in downtown Jerusalem, not too far from where we are here in our hotel, and a witness that God had foretold, all of these things in advance so that they could know that they were true. It’s hard to explain those things away in the fact that the state of Israel and the Word of God coming up together in a sense a resurrection of a nation as Ezekiel 37 talked about the vision of dry bones.

And these dead bones being resurrected after 2000 years of dispersion, but also the Bible being resurrected as the Old Testament scrolls are the oldest in the world and the oldest otherwise are almost 1400 years later. That is about the amount of time there is between Christ and the time that it took to get to Columbus to sail the ocean blue in 1492. Fourteen hundred years. Further back we have an accurate Bible. Again this is Bible and we are coming to you from Jerusalem, from Israel.

I am not trying to convince you and we hope that you are catching all of this series that we have on the air. And we’ll talk more, I think, about our trip in the second half hour. But we want to catch some off-air questions. And I know a lot of you have questions about what we’re seeing here on the trip, or would like to ask about those things, or maybe some biblical events over here in Israel that we might be able to talk you about.

But whatever your question might be, you can call in at our 800- number, 1-800-576-3771. And our operators will copy that down. They’ll see that it gets to us and we’ll answer it. You can also do it yourself by going to our online radio page, on our home page. Click on the spinning globe. If you go to BibleLineMinistries.org or dot com, click on the spinning globe. You’ll have a page that will come up and it will say, ask your question, type in the question your first name and the city you’re calling from and we’ll get that almost instantly.

We are glad to try to answer that while we are here in Israel. We have Mike, one of our tour members, who has been asking this question. In John chapter 5, it talks about the pool of Asadia, it is actually Bethesda in Jerusalem. So the question is not quite right. Why is this healing pool and its angel ever spoken of in the Old Testament? It’s not, and or is it spoken of anywhere else in the Bible? It is not.

Anyway, Bethesda is the place where Christ healed an impotent man. He lay there for 38 years, unable to walk, and he was hoping that somebody would set him in the pool. This pool is right next to the temple site, and this is water that would be used in the the temple in the cleansing of sacrificial instruments and cleansing and washing the blood after it had been sacrificed for sacrifices. Therefore, it was considered among the populace as holy water in the sense that it was water used for worship of God and the sacrifices and so on.

And so there was this idea that if they could get into that water, perhaps that could get healed and I think they had a superstition myself that an angel would trouble the water and if the first one in got in they would be healed and I personally don’t think that really is what really did happen but it was something believed by the people. Anyway, when Jesus interviewed this man he told his story and how that because he was impotent impossi- it was impossible for him to walk somebody would have to get him into the water and he just couldn’t get in there without help and so Christ has said take up your bed and walk, arise and he was healed on the spot.

What is so interesting here is that the Jewish people arrested him for that. That was against their tradition. It didn’t break the Sabbath but it was against their tradition of the Sabbath and then of Of course they got mad at Christ for doing this healing on the Sabbath and then Jesus reveals there that he’s God. And that didn’t do any better because they wanted to stone him then. So they’ve tried to kill Christ because they recognize his claim early on in his ministry that he was claiming to be the Messiah that he was God and human flesh.

Another question we have here, this is Bible and again I’m Dr. Ankerms from Wren Jerusalem. broadcasting from Israel. And this question is, what is the difference between discipleship and apostle and with Judas and apostle? And the answer is yes, there were twelve apostles and an apostle could also be a disciple and was a disciple, but not all disciples are apostles. Pentecost, there were 120 disciples waiting for Pentecost, and among them were 11 of the 12 apostles. who are also disciples.

And of course, 11. Because Judas had been in the apostle and had committed suicide. And now, they were just 11. We believe God personally picked Paul to be the 12th one to replace Judas. But Judas was never saved. It’s so interesting that people don’t realize that according to John’s Gospel in two separate places. Jesus identifies Judas as an unbeliever. In John 13, he says that he was not washed of his sin, was not clean before God, as every believer is considered to be clean or washed of their sin.

And in John 664, Jesus said he knew from the beginning who they were that believe not, and who should betray him referring to Judas as being an unbeliever. And that’s why Judas went to hell. He did not go to hell because he betrayed Christ. He didn’t go to hell because he came in as suicide. He went to hell because he never ever trusted Christ as his Savior. Well, we’re coming up on our break time. It seems like the program goes so quickly and I hope you’re enjoying.

We’re going to do a second half hour in just a moment. If you’ve never trusted Christ, please whisper that prayer, Lord, on the center and put your trust in Christ right now as your only hope of reaching heaven. We’re going to be back this Sunday. If you’re in Tampa and you want to come and visit with us, we have a dinner following and we’ll be fresh back from the trip and share with you a lot of our excitement and some of the things that have happened on the trip.

So that’s this Sunday the 25th of March. I hope you’ll join us and I hope you keep your radio down tuned right where it is. We’re going to come back and do a second half hour and I hope that you’re able to get it in any case the entire program will be up on the internet for you to announce the release to these all for the last time. So we’ll be right back after this short break. Don’t go away.

Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. All right, I’m Dr. Englister and we are glad to be able to bring this program to you as we come to you Monday through Friday. And on the internet, we’re there 24-7. And so I hope you’ll listen to these programs again and again. And all you have to do is go to BibleLineMinistries.org or dot com, and join us at any time you please.

And I hope also you’ll tell your friends about the program, when it’s regularly broadcast, and help us build our audience and let people know about it. If you would like to help Bibleline, we would really appreciate your prayers. Your prayers are an indispensable part of our ministry because we believe that it’s your prayers that have been answered by God as He’s kept us on the air and keeps us going. And it’s also your gifts. If you could help us at this time, a gift of Bibleline would be greatly appreciated.

We really hate to talk about money because I think many do abuse their privilege of talking about money and we’re not trying to get your money, we’re trying to get the gospel out. We don’t have the finances to be able to do what we’re doing right now. It’s amazing how God has allowed us to go from a little 15-minute program in Tampa to an hour program and now to be able on many stations across America and on the Internet around the world.

One of the fascinating things we had happened to us here in Israel is we met a group from Nigeria and a large number of them came to our evening production of the radio program and one of them stood up and said he listens to the Bibleline in Nigeria. And I was so pleased to get to meet me and see my face in person. And of course we were equally thrilled to meet him. What a blessing. What chances is there of that happening?

I think almost zero. But yet, God brought a man from Nigeria and our group from America. Here we wind up meeting each other in the Galilee. So it’s exciting to know that people are hearing and are being blessed and are reached by Bible line. If you can send a gift to Bibleline by mail, that would work, or you can give it by credit card over the phone if you’ll only call our 800 number 1-800-576-3771. Our operators will be glad to help you in either case.

They can send you an envelope with our address on it or take your gift by credit card on the phone. So write down that number 1-800-576-3771. We’re about ready to do the second half of our Bibleline. If your station doesn’t carry it, go on the internet and catch the full program. And if you have a wonderful radio station, say today we will talk about it. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771.

Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is by blind and we’re in Israel. We’re in Jerusalem. We’re at our hotel. We have been touring all day and we’re producing this program which you will hear in the morning. And we hope that you’re enjoying the series that we’re bringing to you from Israel. We’ll be coming back. Most of our group says that this is just too much material to digest in one trip and they want to come back and take it in again and be able to grasp all these things which are just causing their heads to swell with information and data that they’re taking in here in the holy land.

And we would love to have you go. So keep listening and making your plans to join us on a future trip here to the Middle East. We have felt completely safe, not even a hint of any violence at all. And we haven’t read or heard about it any while we were here, and we haven’t even heard as much as a carved backfire. It’s been really peaceful and very, very quiet. But we’re hoping that you’re enjoying our kind of like a trip from Israel as we kind of guide you through our days, activities, and tell you what we’re seeing.

And we are, of course, thrilled to be able to do that. Thanks to the technology of today that we can give you an update right on the spot here in Israel. Today, we had a great day and we were down at the Dead Sea and saw many, many things. And of course, one of the interesting things is the Judean hills. We rode parallel to the ancient Jericho road. Today there’s a modern highway that they’re expanding to even four lanes.

It’s a two-lane highway now, but will surely be four lanes. And maybe if you’re somebody with a church background, you have sung that hymn on the Jericho Road. And that’s the route we took, and we go down to Jericho. But it doesn’t go to Jericho today, right at the very bottom of the Judean Hills, it makes a right and heads down to the Dead Sea. The reason why is Jericho is one of the seven cities that have been given over to Aerofat and the Palestinian Authority and tourists don’t go to Jericho.

And we missed, at least for myself, being able to go there because there’s a lot of richness in the Biblical history. That was the first city that was taken when Joshua led the children of Israel into the promised land. You might remember they came and first they spied out the city, they sent out two spies and they were in danger of their lives for doing that and Rahab got was the one that protected them and hid them in the stalks of flax on the roof of the city in her home.

And she said spare me when you come and take the city and she gave her testimony how she had gotten saved by hearing about what happened as they came out of Egypt and how God had delivered them. He says, there is a great fear of you throughout all the whole land because we know, or at least she said she knew that their God was the true end of the God and infested her salvation. We know that they told her to hang a scarlet cord out of her window and when they came they would not destroy her home or her family.

Scarlet Chord runs through the whole Bible and it’s a picture of redemption by the blood. He was a woman who had been a harlot but yet saved by grace are you saved through faith and through the blood of the coming Savior of the Messiah that would pay for her sins. As she hung that Scarlet rope out her window it was the beginning of a Chord that ties the beginning books of the Bible, Genesis to Revelation, and the last book also resounds with that theme, the blood, the blood, the blood, the blood, beginning in Revelation 1.5 saying I’m the hymn that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood.

And so the Bible’s a book of the blood, and this story you might remember was conquered in a very unusual way. They people marched around it seven days. And on the seventh day they marched around seven times and they blew their trumpets and the walls just came tumbling down. Joshua in the Battle of Jericho. And of course it was an easy take then because they didn’t have to do anything. God took the walls down and then they simply killed the soldiers, the defense system that protected Jericho.

So that was right there. Also, they had a spring in Jericho long, long ago that’s still operating today and makes Jericho an oasis in the desert. You know, that whole area is desert down there along the Dead Sea. And this was true of in Getty as well. It’s like an oasis in the desert. It was green there and animals come there because of the water. And Jericho was a city like that. But this water was bitter and we could not be really used to drink only to take care of vegetation.

But Elijah blessed that spring and his pure water to this day, drinkable and still gushes out of the ground. I wish we could have seen that on this trip. That would have been very nice. Also, we know that Jesus walked through Jericho, and there was a man that was short. A tax collector, not a very popular guy in town, named Zacchaeus. As we sing the song, he’s a wee little man. And as he knew Jesus was coming right through the heart of town, he climbed a sycamore tree.

And Jesus stops as He’s walking through the city and in a big crowd with everywhere. He looks up at Zacchaeus and he says, Zacchaeus, come down for salvation has come this day to your house. And so of all the people, one most despised in Jericho, Jesus said, I’m coming to your house. And Zacchaeus got saved. And what a beautiful story. Luke, where it talks about that in chapter 19, it says, The Son of Man is come to seek him to save, that which was lost.

So here was a man despised by the population, but seeking the truth, Christ sought him out and brought the gospel and salvation to him in his city of Jericho. So Jericho is a special place. Unfortunately, the Christian world is cut out because of the fact that it’s in a Palestinian authority city and basically Christians just to hardly visit any of them. We also will not visit Bethlehem because of the same reason. Bethlehem has been given over to the Palestinian Authority.

It’s not safe to go into any of those cities. Again, Islam teaches that we Christians are infidels and we’re in danger of our lives when we envision and take ourselves into those environments. And that’s a tragedy. That’s too bad that it’s happened because these are special cities in the Bible that now were denied. I think it’s all a part of prophecy as well as the Bible says that Israel would be hated above all nations. We certainly can see that and there’s this hatred that just is everywhere in the Middle East against Israel and more and more among the nations of the world.

Again this is Bibleline. I’m Dr. Engleman from here in Jerusalem at our hotel and you’ll be hearing this program tomorrow as we’re producing it here in the evening but airing it in the morning. And we’re so glad that we’re able to be able to do that. You can still leave your questions off here. If you want to call our 800 number, our operators are still there in the office taking calls, and you can just leave your question off here or go to the internet, BibleLineMinistries.org.

Click on the spinning globe, you’ll be connected to our radio page and there you can type in your question. There’s a place for you to do that and leave your first name in the city and we’ll try to take those questions as we can. We have a couple of offer questions. I think I’ll take a couple of those so we can try to get some of these down. James from our group here said, when Israel recaptured Jerusalem in 1967, the Six Day War, why did they not destroy the Islam?

Well, it’s obviously something that would really inflame the Muslim world. The advantage Israel has had over the many years is that the Islamic countries cannot get together. They all are very independent and to get them all to unite against Israel has not been possible. And so if they had done that they probably would have united all of the 22 Islamic countries that hate Israel together in one giant jihad and that would have been probably more than Israel could have taken on so they haven’t done that and at the right time which we believe is probably very soon very soon.

It will be the third temple will be rebuilt, but God himself or Christ will destroy them. I believe at the end of the tribulation period when he comes back and cleanses the temple mount and the temple that will be rebuilt after the rapture and establishes his kingdom here on the earth. We have Warren in Tampa, Florida, and he calls in and leaves this question. Please give us some scripture references for the lifting of the curse, very NikiinaSHARE, that is the Millennium.

Well, the curse is referring to The first thing that I’m hearing is the curse that occurred when Adam and Eve sinned upon the earth. That it would be difficult to get it to produce fruit. You have to sweat in order to make it produce as it ought to and so on. And there was a curse upon the whole earth. Well in Romans chapter 8 it talks about when Jesus comes back that curse would be lifted. And I’ll read here it says in the Verse 19, it says, The earnest expectation of the creation, waited for the manifestation of the sons of God.

That manifestation takes place at the second coming. And it says here for the creation, it reads, creature in the King James, but the creation was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of Him who have subjected the same same and hope that was Adam. That is verse 20 here of Romans chapter 8. Because the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption under the glorious liberty of the children of God. So when we come back with Christ at his second coming, it says here that the earth or the creation will be delivered from the bondage of corruption.

Verse 22, for We know that the whole creation, groaneth and travail, travaileth and pain together until now. So we know that the creation has been groaning and travailing ever since the curse back in Genesis chapter 3. And when the sons of God come back with Christ, the believers and believers of the Old Testament get their resurrection bodies and the believers of the tribulation period come back with Christ in the resurrection bodies, then the whole earth will be released from the curse.

And I hope that helps warn. That’s a great passage that tells us when it happens. It says in, this is Mark calling in from Tampa, Florida, and he says in John 20 verse 7, is this wrong about the napkin being folded by itself in a Jewish custom that for a guest for dinner with Foul and Afton. Didn’t indicate that dinner was good. I believe that is wrong. That is not really what it’s all about is not really what it’s all about it all.

I think Jesus wanted to let you know that his body was wrapped in linen strips and then with a moor and an aloe mixture, probably set up like a piece of concrete and was like a cocoon that held his body. But there was a piece that covered his face separate from the other windings of cloth that went around his body and he removed that and folded it and set it aside so they could actually look in and see that the body was gone and discovered that he was truly resurrected.

We have Dana in Utica, New York and Dana calls in and asks about Mark 16 verse 9, the first part. Mark 16 9. I’m almost there. I’m turning as we speak and it’s It says in this chapter Mark 16 verse 9, Now, when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Maglin out of whom he had cast. He was the first day of the week, but early in the morning when the sun was up, he appeared I’m sure you must be talking about or thinking that maybe this verse is saying that he rose in the morning, which is not what it’s saying.

He was risen and here it is the first day of the week, but early in the morning when the sun was up, he appeared to murder the sun. to Mary Magdalene first. And so basically I believe, and maybe this is why the question is coming, I believe that Christ was resurrected at sundown Saturday. He was placed in the grave at sundown on Wednesday, the beginning of the Passover, which began Wednesday night at six, which was the beginning of the Passover, which would have been 39 as the Jews count time.

He said in Matthew 1240, he’d be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. What would mean he had to be raised 72 hours after he’s placed on the grave, and that would mean Saturday at 6 p.m. at the beginning of the first day of the week. Then in the morning they discovered the empty tomb, and in the morning Christ had already been risen is what the verse is saying. Then he appears to Mary Magdalene in the daylight of the next morning she was the first to see him.

So that is really, I believe, what is going on there. I hope that helps you, Dana, in Utica, New York. All fair, we have Ken calling in. I don’t know what city he’s calling in from. But please explain what the wheels and the moving are about in reference to the beginning of the book of Ezekiel. If you look very carefully, that is a scene in heaven. And I think it would be difficult for any one of us to write down a description of what we’re seeing and have it make any sense of those that are reading it.

But basically in that vision you see Jesus, the Son of Man. You see the cherubim which are special living creatures that are about the throne of God. And apparently you see how they have eyes on all sides that are out able to move about and there’s this, the appearance. It says the word appearance of these wheels, within wheels, the turn. I think we’ll have to wait until we get to heaven to see it. We’ll know exactly what it means when we see it then.

But it’s not talking about flying saucers. I’ve read all kinds of nonsense about what Ezekiel chapter 1 is about. But very clearly, if you read it carefully and slowly, it’s a vision of what it’s like to see heaven. Jesus upon his throne heaven and the special creatures that cherubim that are about his throne. Diane in Tampa, Florida calls in, she says, can you show me where it says born again children will not be raptured? And I can’t because there is no verses says that.

It says all born again Christian will be raptured. If you’re born again you’re going to be raptured. That means you’re saved, you’ve trusted Christ as your Savior. It says in 1 John 5, 1, Whosoever believe it that Jesus is the Son of God is born again. So those children that have believed and are born again definitely will be raptured. 1 Thessalonians 4, 14 gives us the key to being in the rapture. It says, if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, then you’re going to be in the rapture.

And that’s the gospel. So children that are born again have believed the gospel and they believe on Christ as the Son of God. So definitely they’ll be raptured. No question about it, I am. Thank you for that question. Well, we have lots of offer questions and I don’t know if we’re going to get to all of them on this program. The time is rolling by so quickly. But thank you for calling in with them. Let me just see what we can catch here real quickly.

We have in Revelation chapter 14, 17, 18, what is it talking about when it references Babylon? Well Babylon back in Genesis chapter 10 and 11 are talking about the beginning of a world political and commercial system that is grown now to cover much of the world today. and is going to be destroyed by God when Christ comes back and he’ll set up his kingdom. So it’s talking about that system. The religious system, obviously, is one that teaches you safe by works and not by faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Political system. I head toward a one world government. Go back to the Tower of Babel. There was one government, one religion, one world language, and we’ve come right back to that same place again. We’re seeing in our news all the time, talking about a one world government and one world currency and one world religion. And we’re coming back to that place where God is about ready to judge this world and those systems that are still around. Doug in Fort Lauderdale calls in and says, was Abraham married to a black Ethiopian woman?

No, I did not believe so. Moses apparently did marry a woman, I think that was black, but not Abraham. Abraham married Sarah and she was not a black woman, but I think Moses did marry a black woman. Hopefully that answers your question. What does God’s view on interracial marriage? It doesn’t forbid interracial marriage, but it does forbid throughout the Bible for believers to marry unbelievers. There is a caution though about interracial marriage, and that is generally you need to have as many things in common with someone you’re going to marry as you possibly can.

And because those things cause for difficulty. When you have people of different cultures and different customs, it puts a greater strain on the marriage as well. So those marriages many times do not fare well because there’s just so much to overcome. You have family on both sides that don’t approve of your marriage. You have problems with the children that are born of those marriages and so on and so on. God doesn’t forbid it, and you can certainly marry someone else on another race.

But you have to realize that you really want to make sure that you have a lot in common because you have lots of obstacles to overcome in the course of your life. And those just add to the tensions and the things that can make your marriage very, very difficult for you. definitely a believer is not to marry another unbeliever or an unbeliever because that is forbidden in the scriptures. Thank you Doug, I hope that helps in calling in for Port Lauderdale.

We’re glad you’re listening down there in South Florida. We have Andre in Tampa Forty. He says, please explain X to 17 and we’ll do that. I’m turning there right now in Acts chapter 2 in verse 17 it says that it shall come to pass in the last days, say if God I’ll pour out my spirit upon all flesh. Well that has never yet happened. Although Peter quotes that, he’s talking about the Holy Spirit given at Pentecost, is the same Holy Spirit that will be poured out upon all flesh in the last days.

Right now, just stop and think for a minute. Does everybody all flesh? Does everybody on the planet earth have the Holy Spirit right now? Absolutely not. I tell you, I wish everybody in my neighborhood had the Holy Spirit. I wish everybody in my community had the Holy Spirit. But you can’t go very far when you don’t run into somebody who’s unsaved. And if you’re unsaved, they don’t have the Holy Spirit. So it hasn’t happened yet, it didn’t happen at Pentecost.

But at the Second Coming, Christ will destroy all unbelievers. Everybody left will be a believer and He’ll pour out His Holy Spirit upon all flesh. So everybody as the Millennium begins is saved. Number one, and number two, all of them will have the Holy Spirit. He’ll poor out of spirit upon everyone. Also, if you go back to Joel where this verse is quoted from, it says afterward, afterward. And if you read the afterward, it’s after Russia is destroyed in the battle of Armageddon.

And after Russia is destroyed, after he says he’s removed the northern power in Joel 2.20, then he says after that he’ll pour out his spirit upon all flesh. So until Russia is destroyed, it hadn’t happened yet. So Peter is simply referencing that what happened at Pentecost was a little bit of an advanced picture of what will happen when Christ comes in a second coming. He poured out the Holy Spirit on all the were believers and still continually does, but not upon unbelievers.

And so the fulfillment will really take place at the second coming of Jesus Christ. So time is moving on, we’re getting here to the end of the program. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771.
