We are living in the latter-days according to Hosea 3:5,6. When the Jews would return to Israel, God says that time is the latter-days. The Bible so clearly sets forth the “signs of the times” of the Lord’s return that Paul did not need to write any further concerning the Lord’s coming, to the people at Thessalonica.

Coming to you from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida declaring God’s love through radio and television, providing real answers to an ever-searching world. Got a question? Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day Monday through Friday as we come to you live from our studios here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church from the pastor.
Thanks for tuning in today and we hope that you’ll tune us in every day and pass the word along to your friends, not only in the area where you’re listening but also anywhere in the world. We are on the internet and your friends in other countries and other parts of the world can hear Bibleline any time of day or night. When we were in Israel just a couple of weeks ago we met people from Nigeria that listened to Bibleline there in Africa and we were excited to know that people are listening around the world.
We have 147 countries that have logged on and by the way we are going to be going on the air in Africa on shortwave and it will be for free. That is wonderful that we have that opportunity. We were invited to bring Bible into Africa and so we are excited about that. I think God on our trip to Israel was saying Africa is ready. Africa is open and go for it. We were so pleased to meet people already listening in Africa to the Bibleline radio on the Internet.
Check out our internet. It’s BibleLineMinistries.org or .com and many folks are enjoying that. They sometimes listen to the program in the morning or parts of it. And in the evening, at their leisure after dinner, they sit down at their computer and listen to Bibleline all over again. And we’re excited. We have wonderful notes coming in. I really ought to read more from the mailbox. Here’s one from Durant, Florida. I enjoy Bibleline ministries on 910 AM and I want to do my part to make sure it stays on the air.
May God bless your ministry and that’s from Yvonne. Thank you Yvonne and we have people that listen and we thank God for all of you who pray for Bibleline and pray that we might be able to continue and to reach out and win people to Christ from all over the world. And hopefully answer your questions and by the way if you want to call in today you can call it 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771 and you can get up on the air with us live.
If you call between 10 and 11 Eastern time and if you want to leave an off air question, that’s great. We have a bunch of off air questions. We’ll try to get to as many of those as we can and we are excited about being able to be with you. We’re going to start a new class on Tuesday nights, the 24th of April. That’s coming up right around the corner and that’ll be a week from this coming Tuesday, the 24th of April Tuesday night from 7 till 9 and if you want, if you don’t live in driving distance you can actually sign up and take that class on the internet.
You’ll be able to watch it live as we do the class from our studios here or rather from our headquarters here at Bible and Headquarters at Calvary Community Church. But also you can watch it at your leisure because you won’t be restricted to just that time that we do the class from 7 to 9 for 5 Tuesday’s 10 hours of teaching on one of the most crucial teachings I believe at this particular time in history and that is about the coming of Christ.
The controversy today over has Christ already come or is he still coming in the future? is a really major numerous people like Hank Hennigraphe and RC Sproul and many others believe price has already returned in 8070 and this is causing quite a stir and the Blessed Hope is robbed from the believer. The return of Christ to snatch us out to meet him in the air is certainly taught in the Bible very clearly. We’re going to have a great time, ten hours of teaching, you’ll want to get in on this one because this is something that Christians need to have an answer for many.
I think today are being confused and shaking their heads and saying, I don’t know what I believe anymore. There’s such conflicting views out there. How can anyone know what is correct? Well, we’ll point out how you can know what is correct and we are going to expose bad hermeneutical principles in studying the Word of God. And to take the Bible literally is so important. Somebody says if the Bible when you read it makes plain sense then make no other sense Out of it, and that’s a good rule to read Till ply when you read the Bible so Jesus is of course coming again.
We believe soon We just finished a course on that 10 hours of teaching about the return of Christ But this one is about the issues now of of the book of Revelation is already fulfilled. Is it? Well, we’re going to tackle that in ten hours of teaching. I think you’ll find it exciting. And we’ll really hone up your skills in the Bible and interpreting the Bible and also bring you to a close realization that the return of Christ is really getting near.
This is something that Peter predicted in 2 Peter 3 that in the last days there would be those who would say, where is this promise of his coming? And many have said he’s already come and so we missed it. Well, we’ll talk about that. That’s beginning the 24th of April. You can call and sign up. Get a passcode so that you can watch these classes on the internet. Also you can come and take the classes in person. There’s a slight fee, but it’s only to help Bibleline.
It’s $50 for the 10 hours of teaching. It’s really $5 a class. Or you can order the CDs of the class for, again, just the $5 per class. We hope you’ll take advantage of the other 40 series that I’ve done in the past on different books of the Bible, different topics, and I hope you’ll take advantage. You can get a resource list sent to you. We’ve done the Book of Jude. We’ve done the Book of Romans, we’ve done the Book of Hebrews, we’ve done many of the books of the Bible, including the Book of Revelation, the Book of Daniel, and then many topics like the Holy Spirit, the Rapture, parables, how to lead a soul to Christ, and many others, including the one that we just finished, Jesus is coming.
Some of the more recent ones are now available on CD and DVD presentations, so you might want to take advantage of that. Thanks again for listening today. We’re going to go to the Bible for just a couple of minutes and then we’ll take your calls. And the number again is 1-800-576-3771. And of course, you’re always welcome to come by and visit Calvary. We have a dinner this Sunday. It’s the third Sunday of the month. And if you come at 1030, stay for dinner.
Be my guest. We have our worship service at 1030. I have an adult class at 915. But if you want to come, bring the family, bring your Bible, bring your appetite, and stay for dinner. Be my guest. That’ll be this Sunday, the 15th of April. And that’ll be right after the morning worship. We’ll eat some of the best home food in all the world. And this is the Sunday to come. I hope you’ll be planning to join us for the third Sunday dinner.
And this Sunday being the third Sunday in the month of April We will have a wonderful dinner and I hope you will be a part of it if you are in driving distance. If you are not in driving distance you can at least join the worship service by internet. As we webcast our morning service you click on the camera on the home page of our internet site and you will be able to get in on that. Turn up your will to your Bible to John 3 18 where Jesus said he the belief on him is not condemned but he the belief not is condemned already because he hath not believed in the believed in the name and the only begotten Son of God.
Let me just say there is one unpardonable sin and here you have it. It is unbelief. Notice Jesus divides the world into two groups. Those that believe, those that believe not. Those that believe on Christ or trust on Christ as their Savior, Jesus says they are not condemned. Not now nor will they ever be condemned in the future. You can be certain of going to heaven from the moment you trust Christ as your Savior. But if you’re in the second group, believe not, that have not trusted Christ’s Savior, the Bible says you’re condemned already.
Right now you’re living in a condemned state. And should you die, you’ll be condemned forever and ever in the eternal lake of fire. You don’t want that to happen. You sure don’t. And the reason why is says in John 3 18, because, Because, because, because it says because They have not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. So we find here that unbelief or rejection of Christ is the unpargable sin. It’s the same as the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
If you read the text there in Mark 3 about the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, it was said of those who rejected Christ and it says, because they said Christ had an unclaimed spirit, that was clearly a rejection of Christ as being the Messiah. Because the Messiah would be anointed with the Holy Spirit and empowered to do the things that he did. The man Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit. He was anointed at his baptism and the word Christ means anointed.
Christ is the anointed one. He’s the Messiah. And so Christ is the one who did these miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit. To attribute those miracles to Satan’s power, which is what they did, was to reject Christ, to say he was an imposter, a fraud, a counterfeit, and was not the Savior. And so the unpardonable sin is the same as the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, is to reject Christ, to say he’s an imposter, to say he’s a fraud, a charlatan, a deceiver.
But Jesus Christ, of course, is exactly who he claims that he is. He is, as he says in John 14, 6, the way, the truth, the life, and no No man can come unto the Father, but by Him I hope you have trusted Jesus as your Savior. The moment you do, God saves you eternally. We have Mike in Brandon, off air, leaves this question. He says, How would the women circumvent the Roman guards and get the stone rolled away from the tomb?
Well, I don’t know if they really truly thought that through, but we know that the angels rolled the stone away and these guards painted. They passed out and so they were not a problem. And so the angel rolled the stone away and they obviously were there present when the women took a look inside the tomb. The angel said, why do you seek the living among the dead? He’s not here. He’s risen. We were just in Israel just two weeks ago and we walked into the tomb of Christ and it is empty.
I can give testimony. I’ve been 14 times now to Israel, and each time we always go to Calvary and the Tomb of Christ. And I testify with all of those who have gone with me that the Tomb is an empty tomb. Christ is risen from the dead. He’s alive, and he’s alive forevermore. Therefore, he can make good on the promise that he made to give you everlasting life when you trust him as your savior. You know, he’s the only one who’s ever come back from the dead of his own power and if you wanted to live forever, wouldn’t it make sense to talk to somebody or to believe on someone who has come back from the dead?
He’s done it and obviously Christ is that one. Mike, I hope that helps. The women came, I don’t think really giving it serious thought, but the angels rolled the stone away. We have certainly some other great questions here, but we’re going to go to the live cars we have Colin down in Sarasota, Florida. And welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hello. Hi, you’re on the air. Hi, I wanted to ask you a question which you just said about Dr.
Hank Hanegrapp. Yeah. He believes that Christ came back in 87. I’m from, I listened to him on a radio station at the Memphis. Is that accurate? Yeah, he’s gotten two books out here. The latest one is Apocalypse Code. And the one before that was the, I think, the last, the possible or the last disciple. And in there he says that Revelation, the book of Revelation was written by John before 8063. They believe that 8063 to 8070 was the seven years of tribulation, that Nero was the Antichrist.
That Christ came back in 8070, nobody saw him, but the Roman destruction of Jerusalem and the temple was the second coming, that were now in the kingdom. And obviously I reject that teaching. And but there are many that believe that. In fact, that is taught by most of the churches that came out of the Reformation, the teaching had begun with Augustine and is the present teaching of the Roman Catholic Church, that the book of Revelation is historic, not future, that it’s already been fulfilled, and that’s the view of Hancanograph as well, that the book of Revelation is really not future, but has already been fulfilled its historic.
I was raised on Catholic and I have just gotten into the Bible last year and I found such great comfort in knowing that Christ is coming back. Amen. And this has been robbed today from us and this disturbing that this doctrine is really coming under attack lately here. I’m talking to people that are confused. They say, I don’t know what to believe anymore, because you have a view that says Christ has already come. But obviously if he’s come why don’t we have peace on earth good will toward men that bottle is very clear that what he does come That the nations will not learn war anymore They’ll beat their weapons of war into plow shares and I don’t see any of that happen.
We have a A world today that’s arming themselves up with weapons of mass destruction and we have this Iranian dictator that wants to use nuclear weapons against us and against Israel and Certainly, we don’t have the peace yet. Yeah, I’m looking forward to Christ solving all these problems when he comes back and sets up this kingdom here on this earth and it will be a literal kingdom for a thousand years, Revelation 20 says six times that he’ll rule and reign on this earth for a thousand years.
Well, do you think that this is a false process? Well, I hate to use that term because, you know, On many things, Hank Innerf is correct. I recommend some of his books on the cults, but I certainly disagree with him on this area of eschatology, which is about future things. I think he’s got it wrong. Yeah, okay. Disturbing. When you said that, I thought, oh my goodness. Yeah. I’m really finding peace in this and how this. I know it.
And it can be very upsetting. And I think that’s why Peter warned us a long time ago that this kind of thing would happen where people say, where is this coming when they believe it’s already happened? And we don’t believe that at all. I think that crisis is coming in the very near future, the way things look today, especially with the Jewish people back in the land. But we were in Israel and we saw such excitement about the rebuilding of the Third Temple.
We were looking at a storefront and I had one of my guys. I said, quick, take a picture of this. They had a model through the glass you can see of Jerusalem of the temple that you could buy, which was a beautiful model of the third temple. The sign said, buy this quick before the third temple is built and the prices go up. I thought, look at that. Even in the stores, they’re talking about the third temple going up and selling models of it.
You better get your model right now quick before it’s built. I just had a kind of grad today about the third temple being that it hasn’t been been there. They just think it’s all nonsense. Oh. Yeah. That’s not of any consequence. And the very fact that there’s a Jewish state today doesn’t mean anything to them either. They believe that God is through with the Jews. And that’s the view that Augustine developed. That was understandable perhaps at that time because the Jewish people were scattered.
Jerusalem was destroyed. The temple was destroyed in the 1870 and it didn’t look like the Jews could ever come back and regain the land and become a nation again. But yet the Bible had predicted it. What is so interesting to me is that the Schofield Bible and many other Bible teachers, along with the 1948 when Israel became a nation, actually believed the Scriptures that they would become a nation again. You can see those notes written over a hundred years ago by many that obviously believe the scriptures that the Jewish people would return, they would come back, they would become a nation and that that would be the prelude to Christ coming back and ruling and reigning here on this earth.
And I think that’s exactly what we’re seeing. But the view was carried down through Catholicism to this day. And then in the Reformation, the churches just barely could grab on and defend the doctrine were saved by grace and Martinvironment, rediscovered that to us that were saved just by faith and not by works. And they got persecuted for that and they didn’t have much time to develop all the other doctrines and and the explosive is not being correct. I have to be very careful, don’t I?
Just studying the world? Because the Presbyterians believe that Christ has already come back, the Methodists believe he’s already come back, Lutherans believe he’s already come back all the information. Church has pretty much believed this position in Hagenograph House. Okay. I know it and I always like to say let’s do the straw test. You know in Isaiah 11 it says when Christ comes back that the lion will eat straw like the ox. I said look I’ll get some straw. You just come with me.
Let’s go to the zoo. Let’s go to the lion cage. You stick your arm in. I’ll stick straw in. and if the line goes for your arm. Then we’re not in the kingdom, but if the lion rejects your arm and goes for the straw, then I’ll agree with you. I’ve been wrong and we’re in the kingdom right now. Nobody goes with me. I can’t get everybody to go to the zoo and try the lion in the straw test. I have fun with it.
But you know, really, we’re not in the kingdom. It’s crazy to think that we arese. Yeah, I know. Okay. Well, thank you so much for clarifying that. You’re welcome. I’m so glad you’re listening there in Memphis. I’m glad that we can bring the program to you. Thank you so much. God bless. Bye bye. That was Colleen in Memphis, Tennessee calling you. We have Georgia in clear water. I don’t know how we get Georgia in clear water, but we have Georgia.
Georgia, welcome to Bibleline. Dr. Lindstrom, I’m a regular listener of yours, and I’m a little bit dismayed. I feel like you just expressed, you’ve misrepresented something, and it disturbs me. I heard you just tell that woman that Presbyterians believe Jesus has already come back. I’m a Presbyterian and we don’t believe that. I also wanted to say that regarding Hank Hanegraaff, I’ve read his book where he seems to think that Nero was the Antichrist, but he does not espouse that Jesus has already come back and R.C.
Sproul certainly doesn’t. And that bothers me a lot because I’m a student of yours as a bearers and I’m beginning to now this cast out on whether I can trust what you tell me. Well I can just say that anyway I have got the second book I haven’t read yet but I’ll read the second book as soon as I get it but this view basically says that there was the return of Christ in 8070. Now if he says that Christ is going to come again after that which is already described as the second coming that’s something else again but this is the confusion that’s out the Bible.
Then we will follow the seven years of the tribulation. Then Christ will come back to rule and reign and establish a literal kingdom of peace onÛÛ and that is certainly what I believe. It seems to be that many are being told that the book of Revelation has already been fulfilled. I believe the future things that Christ spoke about in the book of Revelation are yet to be unfolded, especially when you read Revelation 17 and Christ will defeat the nations of this world.
I don’t see anywhere in history where the nations of this world were defeated by Christ. Now they say that when Rome came against Jerusalem that that was the fulfillment of that. I can’t agree. I think that is still obviously future when Christ will rule and run on the earth. Anyway, obviously hopefully all of us will take a look at our Bibles a little more carefully and obviously be able to defend at least what the Bible has to say which is what is important.
But the position, you know, the Presbyterian Church USA voted just I think two years ago to boycott any any company that deals or does business with Israel today. And they sided with the Palestinians because again they feel like apparently that God is through with Israel and that happened a long time ago in 8070. And from that time on Israel has been out of God’s favor. And of course we believe Israel has been out of God’s favor but is now back in the land in anticipation of God restoring them and that they will be the head nation on the earth during the tribulation period.
So I hope that you’re right, Georgia, because it’s disturbing to me that people would say that the rapture isn’t going to happen and I know that that seems to be the position that The Rapture is a myth and has been something that recently has been intended and is not really a biblical doctrine. I don’t agree with that at all. I think the Rapture is real and he’s going to come soon and snatch us believers out and we’re going to be with the Lord.
Thank you for your call. We now have Jerome in Hope Well Virginia. Welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Yes, good morning, Dr. I have a question that we know that salvation is a free gift of God through faith. But for the things of God, one needs to be obedient to God’s word for the received the blessings of God. Am I correct? Absolutely. Blessings, rewards all come about there being obedient once we’re saved. But certainly salvation is a gift and it’s not based upon our works at all.
And in seeking God’s blessings by obedient to his word, for one run the risk of falling back under the law? Of course. Anybody can go back under bad teaching and also begin to fall under the bad teaching that we’re no longer under the law is what the Bible teaches, but people have a tendency to go back and try to put themselves under it. So how could the Christian do to safeguard himself that he may not fall back under the works?
I think to read your Bible regularly. You know, a lot of Christians never read their Bible. They’ll maybe take a look at it when they go to church, but in some churches you don’t even need to bring your Bible because they really don’t even use the Bible during the worship services, which is sad because people need to be taught the Word of God. And I think when you read about the early church in Acts 2, they came together number one to learn the apostles’ doctrine, which is the word of God.
That is seemingly disappearing from today’s churches. I thank you Dr. Hank, and I would like to say bless to all the saints out there, and praise to Jesus Christ. All right. The key is that the Christian has to stay in the Bible because we are assaulted by so many different views today. It gets confusing and some people just throw in the towel and give up and we don’t want to do that. We definitely want to keep going back to the Bible and say what does the Bible proclaim and those who disagree with the Bible then are having to be categorized as being wrong.
Listen to me, you’re going to go to break and we’ll come back into a second half so don’t go away. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. We’re starting to incorporate some of the video that we took in Israel in our program so that you can watch now in the coming weeks some of those programs will begin to pop up where you’ll see footage of me in Israel explaining where we are at a site where some biblical event took place and I’ll be talking about that event right there on the spot. We’re excited about that. If you want to call in the numbers 1-800-576-3771. Frank just called in and he calls in from Tampa.
He said he used to attend a Presbyterian church and he says they believed that Christ had already returned. Believers he said he was taught were to establish a kingdom on earth that God was done with Israel and he was not happy with that view and he wanted to respond to the previous caller. Well, again, sometimes the individual pastor might not emphasize or maybe present a different view, but that’s primarily the view that is out there and held by many that were already in the…
He published the book, The Kingdom and that the Church has replaced Israel. It’s called Replacement Theology. And it basically came out of the Reformation down to this time. We’re going to go to Karl in Sarasota, Florida. Karl, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. Hey, Dr. Yep, they got me thinking about, you said that’ll get taken care of. Maybe it’s speaking about growth. Uh, I’m like, uh will we be uh growing or will we be whole? And another part, how much of it does it affect?
All right, well, your call was breaking up. I don’t know if I got the folder. But once we get to heaven, we’re going to have adult bodies. So as far as physical growth, there won’t be any. We’ll have a body like Christ’s resurrection body. It says in Philippians 3 that we are looking, our citizenship is in heaven. And we’re looking to heaven for the Savior to return, verse 21 says in Philippians 3, to change our vile body that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body.
So we’re going to have a body like Christ’s body. And he was in the prime of life when he died, about 33 years of age. He came back in that same body. So we believe we’ll be that much in age. Now, as far as our knowledge and growing in knowledge, I think that will continue throughout all eternity. God is infinite, we are finite creatures even when we are in our resurrection bodies, but I think we will ever be growing and expanding in our understanding and knowledge, although we will never be able to know as much as the Lord does, we will ever be increasing in our knowledge.
And so that I think will definitely take place. And I believe that when we come back at the event of the Second Coming, we are going to be caught up at the rapture, come back seven years later, we’ll be ruling and reigning, so we’ll have physicians of service where we’ll serve the Lord in assisting in ruling and reigning over His kingdom here on this earth during that time. And then of course, in eternity, we’ll be forever with the Lord.
Our home will be the New Jerusalem that I believe will actually orbit the new earth. I don’t know if I’ve helped you there a little bit. Maybe I didn’t get your question totally because the call was breaking in. Thank you, Carl. We have Tom in Clearwater, Florida. Tom, welcome to ByBlind Your Own Year. I just a brief comment with Georgia’s call and I think she took offense to what you said. A lot of people are in churches and really don’t know what the church’s position is on certain issues.
They just become a part of it. but they become a part of that church either is because it’s convenient or because there’s something with fine uh… credibility of the the full position of the church is uh… you know to certainly know no the the uh… the doctrinal statement of the position of that church as it relates to the bible the second thing is that many people within the press material church uh… and i would name uh… as you have already spro hanograph and other to this nature have a real uh…
salvation from the concept of you know of what they call Calvinism, Bible doctrine. And if they’re wrong there and then if they are onology, if they’re wrong how you get into the church, the station of the church, then there’s really some areas in between the starting point of a Christian and the eternity beginning point of a Christian that they stand to be wrong on too. And I just really encourage people to be true Bereans. And I’ll just hang up and listen to your comments on that and God bless you.
Okay. Thank you, Tom. were commended because they searched the Scriptures daily to see that the things that Paul had taught them were really true. And I encourage people to check me out, don’t accept my teaching, but check out what the Bible says because the Bible is the authority, not me. But again, some of these things are not even aware of them unless they are confronted with them that these are doctrines that are taught. And of course, generally the Reformed churches, the Presbyterian churches, believe that you don’t have a choice and salvation, that God has already, before the foundations of the world, made the choice for you.
What happens is God overcomes you, then, and saves you, and then you believe as a consequence, not as the means of your salvation, which I believe is totally backward and not true. But that also means that God then has picked out those that will go to hell before the foundations of the world. They will go to hell and there’s nothing they can do about it. So evangelism, therefore, becomes, I think, just useless. I would stop evangelizing. If I thought that nobody had a choice because the Bible does say that we do have a choice.
That’s what John 3 16 is all about. You have the double sided coin that if you believe you will not perish, but you’ll have everlasting life. But if you don’t believe, you will perish and not have eternal life. And so the verses clear that God loved everybody, that he still loved the world that he gave his son and the whosoever is an invitation to everyone to respond to his invitation to be saved and to trust Christ’s Savior. If God had already made the choice for you, then it seems like John 3.16 would be a lie and would obviously be a worthless verse.
But it’s a precious verse because the Bible is very clear that everyone is invited to be saved and potentially everyone can be saved because Christ died for everyone, not just the select few. We now have Dwight in Clearwater Florida. Dwight, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Earth. Hello Hank. It’s interesting you guys are on the subject today. I’m just reading a book by John Walberg. It’s called The Final Drama of 14 Keys to Understanding Prophetic Scriptures. And he gets into this topic.
Basically what he defines in his book is this occurred at the end of the second century when, or this line of thought, this dynamic occurred at the end of the second century thanks to the introduction of allegorical interpretation of prophecy. He traces it down to being the genesis of replacement theology, which in some of the stumbling blocks that they run into is they try to apply the Mosaic covenants to the church. But in order for them to do that, they use allegory.
My allegory can mean anything. It runs on a table if you line up. You also have a little bit of detail about how to fully ignore fulfilled prophecy. Since in the Mosaic Covenant talking about the land prophecy about Israel being then returning to Erlen, it’s happening right before their Isaiah. What I say is it’s just a coincidence that land really means heaven and the land will be, or heaven, will be achieved by the church. They also replace Israel with the church in all their scriptures.
basically what they’re doing is they’re taking very literal straightforward, these stated in the Bible and are confusing them through allegory. And if you go back, there’s just absolutely no basis of Old Testament or New Testament to listen for their beliefs. And anyway, I just wanted to call on figure out that this book is really good. It just so happens I started reading the chapter that you’re talking about last night. We have that in our resource center. It’s a great book by John Walvard and he was certainly a champion in the way of making the Bible clear to people and I certainly recommend all of his books.
But you’re absolutely right. You know the church has supposedly replaced Israel and what is interesting when they take those promises of the Old Testament, they take the blessings, but they ignore the curses. So they only take the part that they want and they throw the rest away. But the church is the body of Christ, the organism of comprised of living believers from Pentecost to the Rapture, and that group has heavenly promises, whereas Israel has earthly promises that are still yet to be fulfilled.
What happened at the rejection of Christ was that Israel was set aside where God then began to take a body out of this world for Himself to be a bride for Christ and the Holy Spirit in dwelling each one of those and when the Holy Spirit is taken up at the Rapture The believers go up with the Holy Spirit and the bride is meeting Christ and then a marriage takes place and Christ comes back and the whole earth will celebrate and it will be at peace, the marriage of the lamb to the bride.
The bride of Christ is the church. The Israel is the wife of Jehovah and unless you have a consistent interpretation of the Bible, you really get yourself in a mess, in a pickle, especially when you don’t take passages literally and see the literal fulfillment of God’s promises to Israel and how did it predict their dispersion and their re-gathering back to the land. And I marvel at some of these fellows that wrote over a hundred years ago, especially Clarence Larkin who drew so many charts, he drew those back in the early 1900s, way before Israel became a nation.
But if you look at him today, you’re looking at what you would say, wow, these charts had to be done after Israel became a nation because he in faith believing the Scriptures draws the charts with Israel going back to the land and exactly what you see happening in our world today and the rapture looming ahead and then the and the 10,000 year reign of Christ. So it’s exciting and we thank you Dwight for sharing with us today. We now have Benjamin in Clearwater, Florida and Benjamin, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.
Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Turn your radio down. I have a question for you please. In Revelation 22 verse 3, talk about the throne of God and the Lamb. And the lamp or the date is going to be in that body and the Jesus is the only going to be seated down in that. How can you explain that to me? Please. Thank you. All right. We’ll give it a try. That’s Revelation 22.3. It says there shall be no more curse.
At this point we’re into eternity. You see in chapter 21 that the former heavens and the former earth were passed away and John says, I see a new heavens and a new earth. So a The thousand year reign of Christ is over at this point. So this is future. And then he talks about the New Jerusalem and then how the throne of God and the Lamb shall be in it. That is in the New Jerusalem. And we’re just going to live with the Lord forever and He’s going to dwell with us in this heavenly city.
The Bible describes it beautifully in chapter 21 and it tells us there that this city is 1500 miles wide, 1500 miles deep, and 1500 miles high. That’s huge. It would cover a great portion of the United States. I believe personally that it orbits the planet, that it’s a heavenly body coming down from heaven, and it will orbit the new earth. And somebody did the computations. If you built a sphere to hold the New Jerusalem, which is probably a Cuban shape, it would have to have a diameter of 2,600 miles.
The moon that now orbits the Earth has a diameter of 2,160 miles. So the New Jerusalem would have a diameter of 2,600 miles, considerably larger, a huge body that would be the place that Christ spoke about in John 14 when he says in my father’s house, there are many mansions. And if it were not so, I would have I told you so, but I go to prepare a place for you. And that place, of course, is the New Jerusalem where you and I will live forever and ever and ever.
And God will establish His throne in the New Jerusalem where He will live in the New Jerusalem instead upon that throne and rule the universe forever and ever and ever. So we are excited about that. And thank you for your call. And I hope I did answer your question for you. We have Al and Plant City, and they all welcome the Bible and you’re on the air. Hello. Hello. Yeah, this is George from Deltona. Oh, George from Deltona. I got mixed up.
Make sure your radio is turned down. Yeah, I got it down. Okay, I’ll have a question because the caller was calling earlier about, we said that everybody has a choice, but doesn’t Paul say somewhere they were all predestined or something like that and one of his books. I don’t remember the question. A lot of predestination is their Roman chapter 8 in particular, but he’s predestined basically believers God has predestined them to be conformed to the image of his son and that we’re gonna live in heaven and so on and so on.
So there are many things that are predestined for me as a believer. For an unbeliever it’s predestined you’re going to go to hell. Of course you have opportunity before you die to change that around and get saved by trusting Christ. But if you are an unbeliever, the Bible already makes it plain where you’re going to spend eternity. You’re going to be given a new body. assigned a degree of punishment and how according to your works and cast into the everlasting lake of fire so that’s predetermined if you become a believer you’re going to live in heaven you’re going to have a mansion there that we just spoke about and uh…
you’ll live forever with the lord you’ll have a brand new body like christ body and you’ll be a a worded that degrees of reward based upon your works as a believer okay now i have another question uh… you’re talking about working in spank or told right into the next question uh… i was reading james chapter two verse twenty four twenty five twenty six of our just a the other day that we are not saved by our works but by faith but then it says something that in that chapter about a braham being justified by works and i’ll take that over there okay and of course there he’s talking about justification which uh…
a braham was justified before god by faith you can read that roman’s for where it says What did Abraham find out about his works that he would not be justified before God by his works from his four two? And then this is what says in the scripture and it quotes how Abraham simply believed God. Genesis 15, 6, Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness. Abraham believed what God told him concerning Christ coming of his seed and believed on Christ and became saved.
But then 40 years later Abraham is justified by works when he offers up his son Isaac. So if you read James 2, it says, was not Abraham our father justified by works when, the key word there is the time word when he offered up Isaac. When he was justified before God, he hadn’t even had a son as yet. He had no children at all. And then James picks up on an incident later in his life about 40 years later after he was already saved where he offers up his son.
And men see his works and say, boy, Abraham really must have had a lot of trust in God because he is willing to offer up his only son, the one that he had waited a lifetime for that he dearly loved. He loved his son, a picture of God so loving the world that he gave his only begotten son. And so it was a picture of the gospel that Abraham got a chance to enact out. And in verse 23, which is ignored by so many, it quotes the same verse and it says the scripture was fulfilled that said Abraham was justified by faith alone before God.
So James teaches justification by faith alone before God, but justification before men by works. And that’s what James 2 is all about, is talking about a believer can only be justified in the sight of others as having faith in Christ and God and believing the Bible if they live a life that’s consistent with that. By their works they demonstrate that they have faith. But we don’t need to have works to demonstrate faith to God because God knows when you trust Christ as your Savior and are saved.
We now have David in Plant City, Florida. David, welcome to Bibleline Your On The Air. Good question about Genesis 1 27 and 27 where it says God created man in verse 7. There was no man in the book. But I’m, could you explain that to me? I’m a little confused there. All right. Well, chapter one summarizes everything. Chapter two then goes into detail how that man was created by taking dust and and fashioning a man and breathing in his nostrils the breath of life.
Now we know that when it says, let us create man in our image after our likeness in Genesis 1.26, it’s really talking about God as a plurality. So there you have the Trinity that God, the words in the Hebrew are plural, which means three or more, not two or more. So we have God here, as a triune being, and that all three members of the Godhead, being one God, worked in concert in creating man in his own image. So…
We are created in the image of God. One of the answers to what that really means is God is a triune being so are we. We’re made body, soul and spirit. And so we’re triune. God is a rational being so are we made rational creatures. We’re volitional as God is volitional and we’re emotional as God is emotional and so on. So there are many ways in which we are a reflection of God. But he created us in his own image.
I hope that helps a little bit. We just have run out of time and I still have about 20 all-fear questions we’re going to try to tackle tomorrow. I hope everybody listening has trusted Jesus as their Savior and I hope that everybody will take a fresh look at their Bible and also maybe go back and really ask what their church believes as to regard to some of the things we’ve discussed today to find out what the official position is of their Church and maybe you can report back.
But we would love to have you listen again, of course, tomorrow. Tomorrow’s our television day. We’ll be on at 6.30 tomorrow night on DirecTV Nationwide at 7 on the Christian television network all over the West Coast of Florida in the city of Tampa at 8 o’clock on Channel 19 on the cable here locally. We got to run. Keep looking up. Jesus is coming. We believe very soon. And Lord willing join us again tomorrow, would you?

And I was raised in a church where we were not taught very much at all about the Bible. And I didn’t get saved as a result until I was 18 and I didn’t get saved in my church. I got saved in a Bible study where for the first time I heard the wonderful news that eternal life was a gift. It was paid for by Christ and I simply needed to receive that and I’d be saved. And I remember realizing that wow, a lot of people probably have that same experience, not getting the plan of salvation in their church and not having anybody explain it simply so you can understand it and receive Christ.
