For the believer this ought to motivate us to win the lost. Time is running out! Jesus came the first time as a LAMB to shed his blood as our sacrifice. He will come the second time as a LION to crush and devour those that have not trusted Him.

You are the only means of our support. We are totally supported by our listeners. The Bible is a great book and it has so much information and of course again most people don’t really realize what the Bible has to say. But back in the Old Testament God said they knew that we were are obstinate, brass-headed, iron-necked, hard to be convinced.
So God said, before things come to pass, I’m going to show them to you. Blessed you should say, well, this religion is right, or that religion is right, or by opinion, or this guy’s opinion is right, so you can know that my Bible is right. This is all in Isaiah 48, and God says, because I know that, because I knew that you were obstinate, brass-headed, iron-necked, hard to be convinced. God said, I’m going to give you information before you discover it, before things come to pass.
I’ll tell you about them. And you know the Bible is loaded with prophecy. God telling the future before it happens. And we believe we’re really on the edge of some of the most exciting prophecies being fulfilled. The fact that the Jewish people are back in the state of Israel, lets us know that we We are very, very close to the Lord’s return. And shortly the Bible says that we will be raptured out if you are a believer. We caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
And then seven years we will tick off the clock that is really the last seven years of the Old Testament. 4. 7 years that’s called the 70th week of Daniel. In Daniel chapter 9, an amazing prophecy where it actually gives the very date that Christ would die on the cross of Calvary, hundreds of years in advance, telling us when to start counting the prophecy, when the prophecy would conclude with Christ’s death, and it happens exactly. Then it says Jerusalem would be destroyed after Christ had been here powerful powerful passage to witness the Jewish people because they believe the Messiah has not yet come the first time But Daniel says he would come he would be killed he’d be cut off out of the land of the living not for himself Of course he died for your sins and for mine But shortly thereafter Jerusalem would be destroyed the temple would be destroyed and then we find it tells us about
a seventh week that would later be fulfilled in the future. I believe it’s just directly ahead of us. Once we’re raptured out, that last seven years we’ll tick off the clock, and then Christ will come back to rule and to reign here on this earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The Bible is amazing as it lays out history before it comes to pass. Hosea the Prophet tells us there would be around a two thousand year gap between the first and second comings of Christ.
And then Christ would literally rule for a third thousand years on the earth as king visibly seen ruling from Jerusalem as the world’s capital. And we obviously are looking forward to that day. Romans tells us in chapter 8 about how the earth is going to be delivered from the curse and how this will be the time the prophets spoke about, this kingdom that would come. And I believe it to be literal. You know when Christ gave the Lord’s Prayer, He taught us to pray, Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come.
a prayer for this kingdom and it is going to happen and then he says, I will be done on earth as it is in heaven. That has never happened yet but during the kingdom it will as the kingdom will be ruled over by Christ himself and he will also bring us back to rule and reign with him and so the heavens literally will be ruling over the earth and God’s will will be done on earth just as it is in heaven.
The earth will be at peace and even among the animals. The Bible says in Isaiah chapter 11 verse 8 that the lion will eat straw like the ox. That certainly hasn’t happened yet. And it will though once Christ has returned seven years after the rapture to establish His Kingdom here on the earth. So there’s It is a beautiful feature out there, and I believe Jesus is coming, and I believe He is coming soon. Second Peter chapter 3, Peter tells us in the last days, this doctrine of the coming of Christ would be under attack.
They would say, where is the promise of His coming? Isn’t that true today right now? It seems like the Bible is under attack. Basic doctrines are under attack. Christianity is under attack. We are living, I think, in the final days, and it’s only going to get worse as we find that Satan is going to try to get a strangulation grip on the world and try to take it over and be the counterfeit Christ and rule over this earth himself as King.
But obviously he’s not going to be successful. We know the outcome. The Bible is very clear that Satan will be defeated and Christ will come and take over the kingdoms of this world and they’ll become His kingdoms and they’ll be finally peace on earth. Good will toward men. Have you trusted Christ as your Savior if you haven’t, you need to. It’s the most important decision you can ever make in your life. Eternal life is God’s gift and you obviously become saved at the moment you believe and possess it forever thereafter.
You cannot be lost once you become saved. You’re stuck. You have to go to heaven once you trust Christ. Why? Because once you become saved, it’s irreversible. Christ promises in John 637 he would never cast you out for any reason. And better than that he says he would not lose you because it’s the Father’s will that not one person who’s ever been saved whenever he lost John 639. Hebrews 13.5. Jesus also says, I will never leave you. Never means never.
I will never leave you. I’ll never forsake you Christ tells us in Hebrews 13.5. What does that mean? It means that he’ll never leave you. And what does that mean? It means somehow if you could ever be lost, which is impossible. And if you wound up in hell, Christ would have to go to hell with you. It will never happen. You could never become lost once you become saved. You’re stuck. You’re saved forever. But what can be lost is rewards.
What can be lost is your joy. What can be lost is your effectiveness. What can be lost is your testimony and so on and so on. But you cannot lose your salvation. You could lose your life. The Lord could take you home early, but He’ll never take away your salvation. He says He saves us completely. That means to the uttermost. He saves us with eternal life. We’re forgiven of our sins forever and ever and ever based upon our simple trust in what he accomplished for us at the cross of Calvary.
Have you trusted Christ? If you haven’t, you need to do that. It’s the most important decision you’ll ever make in your life. I’m Dr. Englinschren. This is my blend. We’re going to go to the phone lines and on the, we have the all fair questions. We’ll try to take those. We have Vinnie in Hudson, Florida. He’s an all fair question. He says, Chapter in verse, please. You mentioned that somebody in the Bible went to heaven and was forbidden to talk about it.
Who was it? Well, that was the Apostle Paul, Vinnie. And 2 Corinthians, Chapter 12, you have the story, where apparently I believe when Paul visited Listera that he was stoned to death, his body was dragged out according to the book of Acts in Chapter 14 to the garbage dump. They left his body there thinking he was dead. He was, I believe, dead. Then Paul, 14 years later, recounts the event, says he was caught up into paradise in the third heaven.
And there he came back and had seen and heard things. It says that it’s unlawful for a man to talk about. So what does that mean? If somebody does go to heaven and they did come back, they are not allowed to talk about it. I’m so amazed today that we have a host of people who claim that they’ve gone to heaven and have come back and they’re talking about it. Paul says it was unlawful for him to talk about it.
He obviously was given an illness and infirmity, a thorn in his flesh, to keep him humble so he wouldn’t talk about it. But it’s amazing to me. I heard one of Angela’s here recently. He not only said he went to heaven, but he said Jesus gave you maturity, saw his mansion under construction. That’s ridiculous. I can name a half a dozen. They claim that they’re there. And then they write books about how they’d been to heaven and come back.
Don’t believe a word of it. Don’t believe a word of it. Let me tell you, these people never died and they never went to heaven. And if they did go to heaven, they wouldn’t be allowed to talk about it. So just forget that. You know, I like Erwin Lutzer, the pastor of Moody Memorial Church, he wrote a book One Minute After You Die. His approach was to take the Bible and tell you what God says about heaven and what will happen one minute after you die.
We have that here in our Resource Center. That’s an excellent book if you want to know. But don’t read some fiction story about somebody’s supposedly death and visit to heaven experience and coming back. is I believe in my opinion totally phony baloney it does not match up with the Bible and would be absolutely wrong we have Roger in Mobile Alabama on the line here and we’re gonna go to Roger Roger welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air yes good in my walk with God the point that you emphasize about salvation is it’s only by trusting Christ and Christ alone is good but I believe that That principle also can be carried to our walk with God.
Paul was minded in the fact that in his flesh, well, no good thing. And he said, no, ye not, the Christ, dwelleth, and you except ye be reprobates. And when we become believers, we still have two natures. We have the old nature and the new nature. And I believe it’s important first to realize that it’s God’s work in us. And these principles of faith also can be brought into our walk with God as well. Well, I completely agree with you and you know it says in Colossians in chapter 2 verse 6, as you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.
We received him by faith and then we walk by faith and not by sight the Bible tells us, which means that we walk with the sight that God’s Word gives us about what we ought to do and not what we ought not to do. And so we don’t walk based on circumstances or on our physical site, but based on what God has told us about the future and about the truth and about what we ought to do. And you’re absolutely right Roger, I agree with that 100%.
Yeah, and I think that those that really, really dynamite walks with God saw a pretty nature. David quite frequently spoke of, he’s in my loins as a load from disease. My sense is the numbers of the hearers of my head from altitude, but he acknowledged that his need, his need for God, the same with Moses. Who am I when he stood before the Lord, that the burning bush? It’s good for us to see that we have the old nature still, but that it’s God that’s given us the strength and power to have victory.
Amen. Well, Roger, God bless. Thanks for calling in today. Thank you. And keep listening up there in Mobile, Alabama, as we broadcast up in that area. And thank you for your call today. Roger, we have now some more off-course, off-air question. We have Jim in Salada Colorado and Good to have you listening up there in Colorado Jim. He’s asking could you comment on John 20 verse 23? And I would be happy to do that Jim and again. We’re so glad you’re listening on Colorado I hope you’re telling lots of your friends and having them tune in also to the Bibleline Broadcast I’m almost there John chapter 20 verse 23 says Whosoever sins you remit, they are remitted unto them and whosoever sins you retain they are retained I believe every Christian has this ability to forgive sin through the gospel Message that we bring Paul tells us about it
Romans 1 16. He says I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ For it is the power of God and the salvation to everyone that believe in so when I give the gospel to somebody They trust Jesus Christ as their Savior. I have the authority of God’s Word to tell them your sins are remitted. But if I give the gospel to somebody and they reject it, I have the authority of God’s Word to tell them their sins are retained.
So basically I have the power of death and life in the words that I bring to somebody who is unsaved. I can bring them life and if they reject that message, then they are condemned to death if they should die without Christ. Let me just give you a great reference over here in 2 Corinthians chapter 2 and verse 14. It says, Now thanks be unto God which always causes us to triumph in Christ and make it known or make it manifest, the Savor of His knowledge by us in every place.
For we are unto God a sweet saver of Christ and them that are saved, and in them that perish to the one we are the saver of death unto death to the other the saver of life and the life. The message we bring, the gospel, when we make Christ known to people is the power that John 23 is talking about. Thank you for calling Jim. I hope that helps a lot. Bill in North Adams, Maine calls in and we’re so glad to have you listening up there in Maine and the town of North Adams and Bill asks the question off here, what does the fear of the Lord mean?
Well, the word fear really means a revere, and that was Massachusetts, I’m sorry, I said Maine. fear of the Lord is not a fear in the sense that you are frightened of the Lord, but it’s a reverential respect. And we find that the fear of the Lord means that you respect the Lord and you want to please Him, but yes it does mean that you fear that you would displease Him. So it’s a… It’s what really does make the true believer very careful to make sure that they do the right thing and live the right way and live the please the Lord every day.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom according to Proverbs in chapter 1. So if you have that respect toward the Lord that you want to please him and fear to displease him That’s the beginning of wisdom. That’s the beginning of really learning God’s will and having God bless your life We have Brad in Clearwater, Florida and Brad welcome to Bibleline your own Good morning Pastor lunch job morning I was going to try to explain yesterday on that question.
I kind of messed up on What I was referring to is after the rapture, you think Jesus Christ, I mean you think of with Mida Ranchetu where planes, automobiles and boats would all be at a standstill on ground level as opposed to having threats and everywhere in legal and calamity. Even though there would still be mass confusion, I’ll have to listen to your response by radio. You know that is an interesting thought, but I don’t believe so at all.
I think when believers leave at the rapture there will be calamities that will occur as a result my sister years ago used to have a little Sticker that she had on the glove compartment in her car For the passenger to read and it said when you’re riding with me you’re riding at your own risk should the Rapture happen, I am going to disappear. And you know when you think about it, if all of a sudden you’re riding in a car and the believer at the wheel is raptured out, then who’s going to steer that car and break it so that it doesn’t crash.
And obviously the unbeliever would be left behind and probably be in some kind of a car crash. But those things are probably going to happen. Planes might crash, boats might crash, trains planes, and definitely would add to the confusion of the disappearance of millions of believers who will be raptured out. Celeste in Tampa, Florida, calls in, leaves an offer question. She says, I was sharing the gospel with a Muslim and he wanted me to read 5. Please explain Revelation 5 to me.
I told him to read Acts 1631, good for you. Acts 1631 says, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and Thou shalt be saved. Well in Revelation 5, we really have an interesting passage here that tells us how the way is prepared in heaven for Christ to come back and rule and reign here on this earth. This precedes the millennium and is a scene that happens in heaven right after the rapture. What we have there is Jesus being the only one worthy to take this book out of the hand of God the Father.
And we find here it says in verse 6 when John had wept that no one was worthy to open the book. He says, I beheld verse 6 and lo in the midst of the throne and of the four elders. Here it says in the midst of the elders, stood a lamb. The lamb is Christ. It says as it had been slain. It refers to the first coming of Christ. And it says here that he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
We believe that Jesus is taking the title to the earth. He defeated Satan at the cross, but now he is the only one worthy to take the earth away from Satan and takes the title deed to the earth. We believe that then he opens the scroll and the scroll is sealed with seven seals and seal number one is judgment, seal number two is judgment, seal number three is judgment and so on. And as each seal is broken, the way is prepared across the seven years of the tribulation for Christ to come back and take away the kingdoms of this world from Satan and they’ll become Christ kingdoms and he’ll rule and reign over the earth forever and ever.
And we’ll pray for you so less that you might be successful in getting him to understand I 1631 to believe or trust on the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way for anyone ever to go to a heaven. Good to have him. Jamie in Largo, Florida says, is it okay for a white person to marry a Filipino, a Filipino person? And the question here is really more basic. If you’re a Christian, you have to marry another Christian. So is the person being married a believer or not?
Believer is forbidden to marry an unbeliever. Second-grinded in six talks about not being unequally yoked with unbelievers and so that’s the real issue. Now, racial marriages are obviously at a failure rate much higher than others. So there are cultural differences and other differences that make the marriage difficult, but there’s nothing in the Bible that says you cannot marry a person from another race. But as a believer, you need to make sure that you marry another believer. That is a key and So it is okay, but you must both be believers according to the Bible to marry each other, or you’re really going to have lots of big problems spiritually, especially when children come along.
We have Linda in Spring Hill, Florida, and she says I was doing some reading this morning, and in Luke 24, She says it refers to two disciples and it says we had trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel and is talking about two disciples here of John the Baptist and they had assumed that Christ was the Messiah the one that would have delivered Israel and They were sadly disappointed that Christ had died and several days had passed now and he was still dead.
Well, obviously Jesus himself appears to them and walks alongside of them and he reveals himself that he is the Lord. Wow, this really did the revolution, their lives and they went back and met with the disciples and they all discovered here that Christ had truly risen again from the dead. On our trip to Israel just a few weeks ago, we went along that road that led to Emmaus, and we stopped at Emmaus, where Christ then had dinner with these two disciples, and in the breaking of the bread revealed to them that he was indeed the Savior.
Thank you, there, Nifram Springhill. I hope that answers your question. Beth in Valrico, can believers persecute other believers? and certainly the answer is a yes. And we hope that you will take a look at that in the scripture. It’s so good to be able to be with you today. And we appreciate all of you who listen and are part of the By-Blind program. And we hope that you’ll continue to listen every day and tell your friends, by the way, if you’re in the Tampa Bay area, we’re on seven days a week.
and we’re on Monday through Monday. But if you’re not in the Tampa Bay area, you can go and catch past programs on the internet so you can listen to us every day, at any time of day that you would like. Don’t forget if you haven’t given a gift to Bibleline for the month of May. Could you help us? Could you send a gift to Bibleline? And you can do that by credit card over the phone. Also you can do it by mail.
If you would only just call us, we’ll be glad to send you an envelope with our address on it and you can mail your gift to Bible and it would be greatly appreciated. Really, this program is supported solely and totally by gifts given to Bible and. We don’t have any other source of income. And so if the listeners didn’t give, then we might have to go off the air. That would be a tragedy. We would hate to have that happen.
But again, it is our listeners who keep us going. So would you pray about being a part of that, keeping us on the air and letting your friends know about the Bibleline program? I’m Dr. Engleman Strim and we’re here Monday through Friday. I hope you have a great weekend and 10 church someplace. And if you don’t have a place, you can go on the internet, click on the camera on the homepage and actually watch our worship service here at the Calvary Community Church where I pastor the headquarters of Bible Eye Administers.

We’re gonna be celebrating Mother’s Day on the 13th of Sunday, and we’re gonna be having a special breakfast. So if you’re in the Tampa Bay area and you want to bring mom, moms go free. Grand moms go free. Great-grandmom’s go free. It’s a great opportunity to get the family together and bring them for a nice breakfast to celebrate Mother’s Day. And we will also be celebrating Mother’s Day in our Morning Worship Service and we have a special gift that will give each mom who comes on that day.
So if you’re in the area, you can come on and join us for that. If not, on the Internet, you’ll be able to watch our Mother’s Day service from wherever you might be listening. This is really something you can view or watch anywhere in the world. We have people in Europe that watch every Sunday morning to our worship service and we invite you to pass that word on to your friends, maybe missionaries and family and people in the military and other parts of the world, maybe in the Middle East and let them know how they can tune in to the Bibleline program.
We’re going to go back to our live callers and you can call in if you want the numbers 1-800-576-3771 and we’re going to go to Ken in Clearwater, Florida and Ken, welcome to Bibleline. Good morning there, Dr. Hank. I’ve got a couple of questions for you. First, I was reading one at was or where the reference was, but it sort of indicates, or Maybe you could elucidate if you happen to be in a particular life when you become He said that you would become safe, that you would recommend that you stay doing that.
I was trying to think of the reason I thought that maybe he would rather you not concentrate on getting ahead in the ways of the world and remain in that particular line of work. Oh, dear. Do you have any thoughts on that? Well I think that you have to forget all of the world advice and as it says in Proverbs chapter 3 verse 5 and 6 it says, you know, trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not to your own understanding and all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.
Obviously you need the Lord to direct your path and he might just totally uproot you. I was headed toward a secular degree and career as I got saved and while I was midstreamed the Lord changed my path. I graduated in electrical engineering but the Lord said I want you to go into full time Christian work and that’s what I’ve done. So I don’t know that that’s good advice at all. I think you just need to, everybody has to be open to listen to God’s voice, his direction, and obviously speaks to us through the Bible and will give us direction and peace about that which he’d have us to do.
And so I don’t think I would… But where is that reference in one of Paul’s letters? You know what I’m talking about? He saw him because of the persecution in 1 Corinthians 7. Yes, that you probably needed a hunker down and continue whatever you’re doing. I don’t think he’s particularly talking about if you’re single not to get married because of the difficulty of getting married under those circumstances and to raise a family. But that was only a temporary admonition there, but you read that in verse 3 and 7.
What other questions after the Kingdom when the eternal heaven there? I was just wondering how time applies there. I was reading there about the treat provided and sort of wondering if that was just like a figure of speech and weeks for some reason. I was just wondering if there’s any other references at that time, sort of look at time or as I’ve still loved mystery we’ll find out about later. I think we really have to wait till we get there.
But obviously we will experience some sort of time it would seem because we’re going to just enjoy the fellowship of the Lord and the fellowship of other believers to be able to eat at the tree of life and the twelve different kind of fruit that appears at that tree and drink of the water of life and will enjoy the New Jerusalem which will be our home and the new earth that will enjoy I think is a place to explore and just enjoy the beauty of God’s creation of pristine new earth to enjoy.
And perhaps we’ll walk along the sand of some beautiful beach and climb some beautiful mountains and everything else. I don’t know, but we’ll wait and see. But I’m sure that God has got a beautiful future planned for us where it appears that although it is going to continue on forever that we will experience some sort of a time element in all of that. It’s my guess but we’ll have to wait and see. We have Linda up in Spring Hill and we’re going to go to Linda right now.
Linda, welcome to Bibleline. Hi, Dr. Hank. I tried the offline questioning but I guess I couldn’t make my point right. It was in regards to the two disciples. Revelation 11. Excuse me, I’m sorry I got a frog here. What struck me was that they were referred to as disciples and yet meaning you know our concept of like they’re following him and they’re doing things but then they didn’t really trust him and they really didn’t, they had another idea and yet they were disciples And then he revealed himself to him and the truth and they believed.
But my point was that here they are disciples and yet they’re not a believer. Well, these were not of the twelve disciples. Then we have to make a difference between the apostles and disciples. You know at Pentecost there were 120 disciples there and every believer ought to become a disciple. But I don’t believe anybody can become an apostle today that they’re all 12. And even the apostles themselves, if you read verse 11 of chapter 24, when they heard from the women that Christ’s tomb was empty and that the angel had said that he was risen, it says in Matthew 24 and verse 11, and their words seem to them that is the apostles as idle tales.
And they believed them not. So it seems like there was a lot of disbelief here at the time of Christ’s resurrection. They just found it difficult to believe that they had seen the crucifixion. They had seen the deadly ones. They had noted that his body was drained of all of its body fluids and they had prepared the body hurriedly and they’d put it in the tomb and they knew he had laid there now for three days. And it was very difficult for them to comprehend that he would actually live again.
Yeah, that was my point, that when you talk about you can be a disciple and not a believer. That’s kind of a verse for people who argue with that there was even the apostles walking next to them and at that point they didn’t believe. They were blind and looking for a different way and then it all finally started to come back to them as he showed himself. And then the other point I tried to talk about, when you were talking about the bride of Christ, and all of a sudden I was thinking, here, you’re going to be in Africa and everywhere, and there’ll be new people, and they’re like, what is a bride of Christ?
And I thought if you could tell them the Jewish… I see. I see. And then they would understand what a bride of Christ is, how the father, he goes and prepares the house for a year. They’re betrothed. And then he comes back when the father says so. And he says, okay, go get your bride. And then he brings her back there. And I thought then they maybe understand what a bride is and how he’s gone away and he’s coming back and he’s getting ready for us.
That’s beautiful. And that’s a great suggestion. I thank you, Linda. And thank you very much and God bless you pastor. All right Linda in spring Hill and We have now Bob in Richmond, Virginia and he is Leaving an off air question. He says he listens to Sid Roth Who had a David Shamrock on his radio show this guy claims to be doing miracles and healings with limbs? Being grown back. He says the people of the Bible did these things are they real today now?
And I don’t believe so. I think this is a sham. I don’t believe anything things are happening You know people are gullible. I believe You know I went as I used to be as a brand new believer chasing some of these healers down and they were advertising in Miami where I was born and raised a Healing meeting where they were gonna raise the dead and so I was I was there. I didn’t want to miss that I’d like to see somebody raise from the dead.
Of course they never did. It’s they just, you know, hype up a lot of things that just don’t really happen. And a lot of it is a slide of hand and deception. You need to watch out. I believe in the end times those who do miracles are probably false. How do I know? Matthew 24, 24 says that Jesus tells us about the signing return that they would arise false preachers and they would show signs and wonders. So it doesn’t tell us that genuine believers would be doing signs and wonders in the last days, but in the last days false preachers would be doing signs and wonders.
So anybody doing signs and wonders I believe today has to be suspect as being counterfeit because Christ said there would be the false prophets that would be doing the signs and wonders in the last days. So I reject all that Bob as being a sham counterfeit of the real thing that is right in line with what would happen in the End Times, Matthew 24-24. Also, their gospel is usually flawed. The Bible tells us that in Deuteronomy 13 about how false preachers could do miracles, but if their message doesn’t agree with the Bible, it says you’re not to follow them, not to believe them, you’re to reject them.
Alright we were trying to get earlier to Beth’s question in Valrico, I don’t believe we got to get it up on the air. Beth in Valrico leaves an offer a question, can believers persecute other believers? And of course they can, that would be unfortunate. But Paul talks about believers fighting with each other and devouring one another. So Christian cannibalism is what he had in mind and certainly that is not right and Paul said be careful, don’t do that but it certainly can be done and is done unfortunately.
We have here Linda in Spring Hill, I think we just talked to her. She said there’s a new age writer who states you don’t need to trust etc. already done for everyone. Well, that is true that universalism is being coming more and more to life and this is in the emergent church where they believe that everybody ultimately will be saved and you don’t need to do anything. This is true in Catholicism, that ultimately if you live in another culture as long as you’re sincere in whatever you believe, you’re going to make heaven.
Ultimately, to go to hell, you really have to stand there and stand and scream and demand that you go to hell, otherwise you’re not going to go there. Mother Teresa never tried to lead the people in Calcutta, India to Christ. She was earning her own way to salvation by helping those people, but she believed that if as long as they were sincere in their own belief that they would make heaven. So she never attempted to bring them to Christ.
That’s just a fact. And that’s unfortunate because, again, that is this universalism that is in the Catholic theology, as well as many others today where we believe that nobody really goes to hell. Everybody will one day be okay and go to heaven. And of course that’s not what the Bible teaches. Christ tells us that He alone is the Savior and unless you trust Him and Him alone to save you, apart from your human works and apart from human merit, you will not be saved.
Off-air Mary in Arizona calls in and leaves an off-air question. She says, I’m confused by you saying that the Antichrist won’t be revealed until we are raptured. I thought Antichrist comes at the sixth trumpet and the Lord returns at the seventh. Sixth is before seventh. Well, I think you’re a little confused. The first seal opens the tribulation period in the book of Revelation and there you see a rider on a white horse and he has a bow but no arrows.
That is a picture of the Antichrist coming offering peace and then the second horse we see the Antichrist bringing war and destruction and so on. So the Antichrist is revealed immediately after the Rapture long before the sixth and seventh trumpets which are at the end of the Tribulation Period. So Mary, if you’re a believer, I wouldn’t worry about all of this because the Antichrist will not be revealed until after you’re gone and we are leaving before he is revealed.
So relax. Thanks for listening in though and thanks for calling in from Arizona. Mary, thank you. We have Mike in Tampa, Florida says, please talk about the Rapture Hebrews 9. It’s appointed for a man wants to die. What does this mean? Well, the people in the Rapture are going to be in exception to that rule. That is the norm for most. You die and then you’re going to wind up in heaven or hell and you’ll stand before a a judgment if you’re a believer for works that will determine your rewards in heaven or if you’re an unbeliever, a judgment for works that will determine your degree of punishment and hell.
But there is a group that will never die. Enoch was a picture of that. He was raptured out, didn’t die, prior to the flood of Noah. And that was a picture of the rapture. For the judgment of God came upon the earth, he was raptured out. And so on are numerous pictures throughout the Bible of the Rapture. But also in John 11, in verse 25 and 26, Jesus says, I am the resurrection and the life. He the believeth of me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.
That’s true of most people of this age. Obviously for 2000 years since Pentecost, people have believed on Christ and have died. their bodies are in the grave, but their souls are with the Lord. When he comes back, their soul and body will be reunited. But then Jesus, in verse 26 of John 11, talks about a different group, and whosoever liveth and believeth in me. That’s talking about living believers at the end of the age. It says, there shall never die.
Shall never die. Shall never die. There’s a whole group that will never die, that are the saved, that the time of the rapture will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and never die but be transformed into their new bodies on the way up. If you read Philippians 3, 20, and 21, it tells us that when Christ comes that we’re watching and looking for that He will transform our vile bodies that they might be likened to His glorious body.
So we’re going to get a transformed body and be caught up and changed on the way up if you’re a believer living at the Rapture. Thank you, Mike, in Tampa for calling in. We appreciate that call. We have Brian in Tampa, Florida, calling in. He says, explain what you’ve said about the timeframe to observe the Passover. Is it on the Passover Day or the previous day? Give chapter and verse. Well, they observed the Passover on the Passover day, but the sacrifice was offered on the afternoon or the evening of the Passover.
And because the night of Passover occurs before the day of Passover, the afternoon is the preceding day. So Christ died at three o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday. At 6 PM on Wednesday the Passover began. That was really Thursday night, Passover night. And so they celebrated the Passover on that evening. But the Bible allowed in Exodus 12 or 6 for the Passover to be observed the previous afternoon or the afternoon of the preparation night. And so the disciples in Christ observed the Passover on Tuesday night And Christ died on Wednesday and the Jews, for the most part, observed it on Wednesday night, which was the Passover itself.
I hope I haven’t confused you further, but you just have to get used to that 6 p.m. to 6 p.m. day that the Jewish people follow. Alright, we have Linda in spring hill again. This is Linda Day. What is meant by falling away? Well, the following away of a Christian is of course the falling from our steadfastness, falling from our confidence, but never talking about falling from salvation because that’s impossible once you’re saved forever. Now if you’re talking about 2nd Pecylonians that there will be a falling away before the Antichrist is revealed, the There is a great means of departure and it is a departure of the Holy Spirit leaving.
If you read the context there in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, we have the one who is hindering iniquity in this world. The Holy Spirit will continue to hinder as he lives in us believers and we the believers the body of Christ are a hindrance to iniquity in this world. And so when the Holy Spirit goes we go and then all of a sudden then Satan will take advantage of the moment and reveal his man the Antichrist, the man of sin or the son of perdition.
So if you read the context, actually verse 3 is explained in the following verses in particular five and six that talk about the one who is hindering iniquitous role will continue to hinder until he be taken away. And the taking away of the Holy Spirit is the departure that we talk about in verse three and that is of course the rapture event. We have Keith in Richmond, Virginia and he says what is the significance of Mary using her hair when she rubbed oil on Jesus feet.
Well obviously she was anointing him for burial and it was a real picture here of her obviously understanding of what was going to take place. Christ is going to die to pay for the sins of the world and she used her very own hair to do that. How intimate, how precious, how beautiful a picture it is of caring and tenderness and preparation of Christ’s body in advance for the burial that would occur when he would die. I’m Dr. Inglenschtrom, this is by the line, I hope you’re enjoying it.
