Bibleline Radio Show – 2007-05-11 – Heaven in the North

Whenever you ask a child, “Where is heaven?” they will usually point straight up. Twelve hours later if they were still pointing upward, they would be pointing in a totally different direction. Because the earth is turning on its axis constantly, the direction (when you point upward) is constantly changing.

Several of course tell us that they don’t have a good church or they’re not able to attend church. And so the internet works out real nice.

We just got a nice note and we get many nice notes. But this one is from a family up in Michigan. And they say, yours is the only real gospel messages that we get. Our Michigan church has become purpose driven. I now skip their Sunday AM services and attend two good Sunday school classes instead. But along with that in my diet I have your CDs of your Sunday services and a nutritious diet of God’s Word and that’s from Howard and his wife up in Michigan.

So God bless you for that sweet note and we thank you that we’re able to be able to give you spiritual food from the messages here at Calvary as you order the CDs. We have all of the whole year of 2006 available. That’s 52 messages on the internet. It would be for a gift of 300. We have a special for $250 gift to Bibleline. We will send you all of the messages for the year 2006. That’s 52 CDs, almost 52 hours of teaching.

We hope you’ll take advantage. We’re going to go to the Bible and talk about it for a little bit. Then we’re going to be taking our callers. The number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-5776. We’ve got some great offer questions. We’ll be taking those in just a moment as well. Where is heaven? A lot of talk about heaven sometimes. And does the Bible have any clues and the answer is yes. You know, whenever you ask a child, where is heaven? They’ll usually point straight up.

But 12 hours later, if they were still pointing upward, they’d be pointing in a totally different direction. They’d really be pointing what we would say is down. Because the earth is turning on its axis continually. The direction when you point up is constantly changing. So then where is heaven? Doesn’t the Bible give us something better to go by? And it appears from the study of the Scriptures that heaven is located in the north in our universe. Why or rather when they would offer the sacrifices in the Old Testament, the Bible tells us they would offer them northward before the Lord.

Leviticus 111 is an example. It says, and they shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before the Lord. and the priest Aaron’s central sprinkle blood round about upon the altar. The implication is clear, but the Lord is in the north, and they were to offer the sacrifices northward before the Lord. That’s Leviticus chapter 1 verse 11. North is always the same direction from this planet no matter what time of day. If you were to point to the north in the morning, twelve hours later, you’d still be pointing in the same direction.

No matter where the earth is in its orbit around the sun, north is always the same direction in relationship to the earth. So no matter what time of day or what time of year, the north is always in the same direction. The Bible also implies that salvation comes from the north. In Psalm 75, 6 it says that salvation comes from the east or the west of the south, the only direction left is the north. Therefore we must conclude that salvation comes from the north and of course that’s where heaven is and that’s where the Lord is.

So God and heaven must be located in the north in our universe. You know, 3500 years ago in the book of Job in the Old Testament, God gave us two amazing scientific facts in one verse. Job 26, 7 says he stretches out the north over the empty place and hangeth the earth upon nothing. One scientific fact is that the earth is hung in space upon nothing. History tells us that man did not know this, but what man did believe about the earth was scientifically in error.

The Egyptians, for example, believed that the earth was a saucer held by five pillars with a ring of mountains around the edge to keep the water from running off. The Greeks believed that the earth was resting on the back of Atlas because that theory was so popular and so widespread. We see its effects today. For example, if you go to the library and you get a book of maps, it’s called An Atlas. The Hindus believe that the earth was carried on an elephant’s back and that the elephant was standing on a turtle swimming in a cosmic sea.

Amazing to me. The Bible did not include any of these myths or fairy tales, but simply stated that the earth was suspended in space upon nothing. Science can’t give you a better description than this. If you ask a scientist what holds the earth in place, you’ll say gravity. If you ask a scientist what gravity is, he’ll say that’s what holds the earth in place. And they really don’t have a better answer than the one God gave 3500 years ago in the book of Job that the earth is hung in space upon nothing.

Also in Job 26.7 it says he stretches out the north over the empty place. Here’s another amazing scientific fact that there’s an empty place or void in the north in our universe. It was first discovered with a 200-inch telescope in Mount Palabar, California, and is now being studied by three separate observatories across the country. This empty place has been found to be so large that it could contain 2000 Milky Way. Now the Milky Way galaxy is 100,000 light years across.

That would mean light traveling at 186,000 miles per second would take 100,000 years to travel from one end of the Milky Way to the other. The void in the north is so large that 2,000 Milky Way galaxies would fit easily in that void. We believe that heaven is located in that void in the north in our universe. In fact, Lucifer or Satan, when he tried to overthrow God, spoke of that void in the north. Are you believing that? Isaiah 14 verse 13 tells us, and this is God now knowing the thoughts of Satan as he planned his rebellion.

It says, You’ve said in your heart I will sit also upon the Mount of the congregation in the sides of the North. This has to refer to this empty corridor in the North where there are no stars. Heaven is said to be there. One of the most fascinating passages is Psalms 48. He is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness. Beautiful for situation. The joy of the whole earth is Mount Zion on the sides of the north.

The city of the great king. Without a doubt, this is a reference to the New Jerusalem and not to the earthly Jerusalem. You are coming to Mount Zion, Hebrews tells us, under the city of a living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, Hebrews 12-22. When the Bible says beautiful for situation, as the verse continues to explain in Psalm 48, it’s a reference, I believe, to the fact that the city is located in the north of our universe And from the sides of the North, God has a beautiful overview of the entire universe and of the whole Earth.

So God looks down upon the Earth from heaven, from this vantage point, where there is no obstruction. There is a void where there are no stars in the North. And what is so fascinating from the Red and Article, and I have a copy here. I can send you if you want to get this. You can call or 800 number and I’ll be happy to send you this article I’ve written and they won from the New York Times. It’s titled, Audity in Space Confounds Astronomers.

Astronomers, it says, have found an unyielding mystery that they have on their hands, something they’ve observed and partnered for three years now. A light source deep in the northern sky. You and I have read that northern sky. I said, I wonder what that light is. It turns out that the mystery has so far confounded astronomers because they can’t decipher the light. Usually, by breaking down the spectrum of light into its componentretty elements and charting the spikes and dips on a graph, astronomers can identify and describe an object within minutes.

In this case, however, the article says, astronomers are finding it difficult because there’s nothing familiar about the light spectrum. It says here, according to the man who’s in charge of this project of the California Institute of Technology, he says, I’ve never seen any spectrum like this. I do it for a living. I take spectra for a living. The light doesn’t vary. It doesn’t move. It doesn’t erupt. And this, of course, adds to their growing bewilderment. And I thought about that.

I said, you know, there’s a verse over in James where it says that God, the Father, is the Father of Light. And with him there is no variableness. Could it be that scientists are catching a glimpse of heaven itself? And that the light source is God, and this light is different in that it doesn’t vary, it doesn’t erupt, it doesn’t move according to this scientist out there in California. He can’t read this light, he can’t figure it out. Could it be that this is where heaven is and that scientists are now seeing the light come coming from heaven to the earth.

Kind of fascinating, isn’t it? Well, the Bible is an incredible book, and if you want to get my article, Heaven in the North, I’ll also throw in the newspaper article from New York Times where the scientists discussed this place in the North where there are no stars. I believe the Bible to be the Word of God, my friend. I believe that we’re to take it literally. This is not figurative. This is not metaphorical. I believe heaven and hell are real places that people that die without Christ will be totally separated from God in the eternal lake of fire.

And my friend I plead with you, you’ve never trusted Christ alone to trust Him as your only hope of reaching heaven because my friend, according to the Bible, if you try to inner heaven any other way, then through Jesus Christ alone, you’re not going to make it. And if you don’t make it to heaven, there’s only one other choice. And that’s the eternal link of fire where the Bible says people will be cast and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Read Revelation 20 verse 10. It says they’ll be tormented day and night forever and ever. Wow, I sure wouldn’t want that fate to happen to me or anyone else that I’d love or care about. And that’s why I’m concerned for you. I would pray that right now you could just make this decision to trust Christ as you your Savior, just tell the Lord, Lord I am a sinner. But I trust Jesus Christ right now as my Savior, believing He died and shed His blood and paid my sin dead and full by His death and shed blood.

And I trust Him right now as my only hope of heaven. The moment you do God of heaven saves you. Would you do it right now? Would you trust the Lord as your Savior? I certainly hope that you would do that. I am Dr. Engleins from Mrs. Bible and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. It’s Friday. We want you to call in. We have lots of good questions here. We’ll try to take them as quickly as we can.

We have Tom in Richmond, Virginia. And Tom, welcome to Bibleline. You are on the air. I don’t know if I know you were keeping up on the latest of this the pudderest movement that’s kind of sweeping the church right now. But I was noticing Hank Haneggra out the other night he’s begun to use a term that he calling Zionist racist or you know saying that the Jews are the chosen people. An interesting title he’s laid his book I think it’s called the Apocalypse Code.

He’s actually accused Tim LaHaye of being a racist for taking this stand. but it’s just kind of an interesting and a mean-spirited way to go about this whole thing and just thought I’d just kind of call your attention to it. That’s sad. And I think obviously he’s become anti-Semitic. That’s the roots of anti-Semitism anyway. Because basically they are turning against the Jewish people. people, those of many denominations have already turned the Presbyterian Church USA 3 million members two years ago in the General Assembly in Richmond, Virginia voted to boycott any companies that do business with Israel inside with the Palestinian Authority.

Just a year later the Church of Christ 2.5 million members voted to do the same thing to boycott all companies doing business doing business with Israel and signing with the Palestinian Authority. And I mentioned it from the Friends of Israel. They talk about 154 pastors signed an open letter that says that the Jewish people over there in Israel have no claim, biblically, for that land. And apparently this is on the Nox Theological Seminary website and also on the website for James D.

Kennedy, who’s the president of Knox Theological Seminary, that apparently they don’t believe Israel has any claim to the land. And this has been a sad thing to happen to Israel in these days when they certainly need our prayers and our support. And the Bible says in Genesis 12, 3, and I don’t believe it’s ever been rescinded, that God says, I’ll bless those people that bless you and I’ll curse those that curse you. And And I think we’re asking for God to bring a curse not only on America, but on the churches of America.

And I think we are there. And this is certainly a sad day in history to see this happening. And this is a jump back to the days of Hitler when everybody turned against the Jews and six million were exterminated and nobody lifted a finger to stop it. It wasn’t really exposed until the United States won the victory there and they found these concentration camps in the ovens and these machines to kill people and what a sad thing that was.

I would encourage the listeners as well to really start to study this end time stuff because we are going to be challenged by people within the church and we are going to have to have an answer and we are going to have to be able to go to scripture to prove these points because he has got a large audience and these people listening to a show are really buying into this big time. Well we have the book in our resource center here called The End Time Controversy by Thomas ice and Thomas does an excellent job of rebuking and also refuting the ideas of predarism and replacement theology.

I recommend that but very high that I think it’s somewhere around $20 but we have it and it’s an excellent book that really does expose the false teaching of replacement theology. Okay thank you Tom in Richmond, Virginia. We have Derek out in Texas calling in. I’m not sure what city, but Derek, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hey sir, how are you doing? Good. Good. I have a, my first question is the rose of share. And what does it mean for, to be the rose of share?

And then my next question, how do I explain to a creature, eternal salvation? You might use the Bible. If you can get my CD on how permanent is your salvation, that would be an excellent gift to him and ask him to refute it if he can. And that would obviously get him to take a look at it. By the way, the rows of Sharon Derek is Christ. It’s one of the flowers of the Sharon Valley in Israel, one of the fertile valleys where much of the food food is grown in the state of Israel even to this day.

And the beautiful wildflowers there are prolific. And the one flower that they call the Rose of Sharon, Jesus claims to be that Rose of Sharon. He is beautiful, wonderful. The counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting father of the Prince of Peace, Gordon Icy in I.N.6. And he’s also called The Rose of Share and the Bright and Morning Star and many, many beautiful titles that describe all of the glories and the different attributes and aspects of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Okay, great. And what is the name of that city? One more time so I’m going to go ahead and order it. The book is called, or rather the CD is called How Permanent is Your Salvation. Okay, great. And it’s, we, we, we have a lot of people order them as an evangelistic tool. And we, we have a lot of people tell us great success stories of people that hear it and, and change their doctrine. Okay, great. Okay. Derek, thank you for calling in from Texas somewhere out there in the big Lone Star State.

We now have, let’s see, we have Benjamin in Clearwater, Florida, Benjamin. and welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, the Torah, Hank. I have a question here. When the new Hebrew Salim came down from heaven, Jesus is going to sit down into the new Hebrew Salim or he going to sit down in the new temple, the Jewish people going to make in the seven year. The second one is, the second one is the new Hebrew Salim. going to lay in the ground or going to be in the air.

Thank you. Good questions, Benjamin. Jesus. Jesus will obviously live in the New Jerusalem with us and he will be the light of it. says there will be no need for the sun or the moon because Jesus himself will be the light of this heavenly city and that where he is of course that’s where the universe is controlled from because he’s God who took on flesh and so if you read Revelation 21 and 22 were into eternity and Jesus will be there upon his throne in the New Jerusalem.

We find also that the, you know, my mind just slipped there on what we were talking about for the second question, but basically the Jewish people have an earthly plan or purpose, promise to them from the earliest pages of Genesis and that will be carried out. Once the rapture happens, the Jewish people will obviously be prepared for the coming of the Messiah and many, many, many of them will come to know Jesus as Savior right after the Rapture. I think we’re very close to all of this to take place.

And just look at what we’re seeing here in Florida. We’re on fire. 57 of our 67 counties have fires. Right now, the smoke outside is just unbearable. You cannot go outside. They’re having to apparently evacuate a whole prison in North Florida because of the fire and the state is very dry and Georgia is experiencing lots of fires and the middle part of our country is underwater not in California they have fires so this is just the beginning you know in the tribulation period after the rapture the Bible tells us that all the green grass on the earth and a third of all the trees on the earth will be burned up can you imagine how difficult it will be to breathe with all this smoke The Bible says that the smoke will turn the sun blood red.

Obviously, we’ve already been experiencing that here in Florida where you look through all this haze at the sun that turns red. I think this is just a little bit of an insight, a beginning of what will happen, that this is just hardly anything in comparison. But there will be many, many, many judgments poured out upon the earth, including weather changes that will affect all of this. And you know another interesting story that’s out there right now is the honeybees.

Where are they going? They’re disappearing. They said this could bring really a lack of food because crops need the bees to pollinate the plants and the fruit trees. And so they don’t know what has happened. Something is apparently killing off our bees. And without the bees you can’t have the fruit. And these are all prophetic things I think that are in the makings because I think we’re close. I’m not a date setter but I’m sure looking for Jesus to come again.

And if you’re a believer, you’re going to be raptured up whether you believe in the rapture or not. And it’s going to be a nice surprise for those that don’t believe in it. But we’re going to be caught up to meet him in the air, to meet the Lord in the clouds. And from that point on we’ll be forever with the Lord. And then God will continue His program here on the earth with the fulfillment of the promises for Israel and its nation.

We’re now going to Jacqueline and Petersburg, Virginia, and welcome to Bibleline You Are On The Air. Hello. Hello. in the air. Yes, um, Hank? Yes, you’re on the air. Hi. Good morning. Good morning. Excuse me. You’re on the air. Hi. Um, I would like to ask you a question about Psalms 83 18. Okay, let me go back here and we’ll try to find that and we’re coming up on break here. I hope we have a chance to discuss this before the break.

Psalm. What was the Psalm number again? So 83 18. 83 18. Okay, here we go. I’m almost there. Eighty-three-eighteen says that men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, are the most high over all the earth. And what is the question? That means that his name is Jehovah. Okay. Or actually it’s pronounced today by scholars as Yahweh, and the contraction of that and the word for salvation is Yeshua. And in English that’s pronounced Jesus. So Jesus is the God of the whole earth and the God of the universe.

And that’s what the verse is talking about. We have to go to break. We’ll be back and do a second half hour. So don’t go away. Keep your radio dial. It’s right where it is. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well I’m Dr. Englund, and this is my glad and we’re excited about being with you every day. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church.

If not live at the time when we do it, you can join it as it’ll be an archive for months to come for you to join us for that Mother’s Day service. Thank you so much for tuning in to Bible End and I hope that you appreciate the program and if you could help us in this month of May, your gift would be greatly appreciated.

We certainly need your prayers but if you could send a gift for the month of May that would be greatly appreciated. No gift is too small but if you could give a generous gift that would really be helpful to keep us on the air and allow us to be able to expand outward. Somebody this week sent us a quarter in an envelope. It cost him more to send it 39 cents to mail it to us but you know I thank God for everybody whose heart is with Bible line and is willing to send a gift to keep us on the air and so we treasure that quarter and we thank God for every gift that comes in no matter how small.

If you go to our online bookstore and there’s a place there to be able to give to Bibleline and of course as you order from our online bookstore that will help us a little bit as well. But if you can give a gift you can do it by credit card over the phone or by mail if you want you can call. We’ll send you an envelope with our address on it and or you can give it by credit card over the phone and many choose to do it that way.

If you’d like to help us, that would be a blessing for us and also I believe a blessing for you as you’re investing in eternity and you’re going to share in the rewards, whatever rewards we might have one day for this program. God bless you and thank you for your prayers in advance and thank you for your support in advance for Bibleline and God bless you. Every one of you who are supportive of the Bibleline program. We’re going to be joined the stations that have been on break and do the second half hour.

If your station doesn’t carry it, go to the internet and catch the full program. But here we go. We’re going to now return to those stations that have been on break and do the second half hour. So keep your radio dial tuned right where it is as we now go to part two. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. I hope you enjoyed this video. Bye! Bye! You’re welcome! I hope you like this video. and you’ll be able to view the program from or the service from wherever you might be on the planet. Yesterday on a radio show we had a caller from England listening in, they left an offer question, but we’re excited about how we’re reaching out and there are people in the parts of the world that listen to the Bibleline on the internet and also many who are listening by broadcast in many parts of the country and shortly we’re going to be on shortwave all over the whole continent of Africa.

We are so excited about this open door and we’re preparing programs as we speak. So, pray for Bible and as we try to reach out to as many as we can with the resources that God trusts us with. And that’s where our partnership is so important. Your prayers for Bible and your gifts to Bible and keep this program on the air and we certainly hope that you will consider not only praying for us but that you might send a gift for the month of May.

If you haven’t, you can do it by credit card over the phone. Just call our 800 number and tell our operators that you’d like to give a gift to Bible and it’ll be ready to help you. Also, you can give them to send you an envelope with our address on it. That might work for you and you might want to send it in by mail. That’s fine. And whatever works for you, but thank you in advance for your prayers and for your gifts to Bible and which keep us on the earth.

God bless every one of you. And I hope that you are going to have a wonderful weekend and I hope your mom will be just delighted that you remember her on this special Sunday when we take time to honor mothers. We’re going to go back to the phone lines. We got nearly all of our lines lit up. You can call in at 1-800-576-3771 and we have John in Memphis, Tennessee and John, welcome to Bible and you are on the air.

Hey, how you doing? Good. All right. I try to explain and the thing is that I can’t tell what Christmas to go to for the one fade always fade. Now, I know you get this question. Well, what I would recommend is If you get the CD, I have how permanent is your salvation, not only for yourself, which will really ground you and give you many of the verses that you’re looking for, but also you might give it to those that you’re having difficulty explaining it to, and ask them to listen to that CD and challenge them even.

Tell them if they can prove that CD wrong. You want to know, and just the challenge to prove it wrong has gotten many people saved, because they find out that you can’t prove it wrong. The Bible is very clear that you’re safe forever once you trust Jesus as your Savior. So if you’ll call our operators, or I can just maybe switch you over right now, we’ll get your address and I’ll send you one free. That CD is very powerful and I think it’ll help you a lot, John.

And I have one other question is, okay, they were talking about not people as to the rest of them. Okay. Okay, and in the Bible, I can’t say what scripture I need to push up. I need to do a lot of personal. But the thing is, I remember scripture where it says the other, well, he was talking about the other world that there’s some There are no aliens in the Bible. Nowhere in the Bible is it ever talked about any aliens.

There are angels and there are also two special categories of special creatures that God has created, the cherubim and the seraphim, and then angels and then of course God, and then humans and then plant manimal life, but otherwise the bottle doesn’t mention any life outside of that and so I don’t believe in Extra Kestrel life except for God himself who came and Revealed himself in human flesh 2000 years ago in the person of Christ. So E. T’s are out What about Ezekiel?

You know he’s a well in the middle of a wheel right? Well, he’s seeing the throne of God and he’s describing there what he sees and and I met imagine when we see it one day for ourselves it will look exactly like Ezekiel describes it but if you read it carefully he’s actually seeing the throne of God and he sees Jesus the Son of Man and it’s the throne seen in heaven that he’s taken a look at. These are not aliens or flying saucers or anything else.

So do you have a CD on that too as well? I don’t have one specifically on that but I do. I have covered it and I would have to try to figure out what message that would be on. But let me just give you to my operator right now. We’ll try to get that address of yours and send you that CD on how permanent is your salvation. Okay. Okay. Hold on. We’ll take you over to my operators. We’re now going to go to Danny in Grove City, Ohio, and Danny.

Welcome to Beinblin. You’re on on the air. Yes. You’re on the air Danny. For me. You’re on the air. This is Bible line. Were you intending to ask a question on the air? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right. You’re on the air. Okay. Thanks. What is your question? Don’t listen to your radio now. There’s a twenty second delay so you’ll get really confused and may need therapy. Listen to me on the phone and answer the question or ask the question directly.

Okay. What is your question? My question is over over in John verse 20 22 where Jesus breathed on the disciples and told him to receive the Holy Spirit. Yes. And then over an act. He said, you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit is come upon you. That’s exactly right. Know what? Now what happened there was in the Old Testament times which took us right up to Pentecost, the Holy Spirit would come and go and God would give the Holy Spirit temporarily to empower or enable someone to carry out a spiritual task or whatever.

So during the forty days that Christ was alive after his resurrection as he taught them he gave them the Holy Spirit to aid them in their understanding of the Word of God. But then I believe the Holy Spirit left at the end of those forty days Christ went back to heaven and they had to wait ten more days for the permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit which took place at the day of Pentecost. So from Pentecost on now all believers of this age are permanently in fault with the Holy Spirit.

up until Pentecost they weren’t. And so that was a temporary infilling of the Holy Spirit for the forty days while Christ taught them after his resurrection before he is sentenced to heaven. No they did not. Oh okay. Alright well I appreciate it doctor. Alright you take care. Read John 7 verse 38 and 39 and there he talks about what would happen future to the day Pentecost that they which believed should receive future the Holy Spirit and it says that would be after he would be glorified which is after his death and Obviously at Pentecost when it would take place so there was a temporary in dwelling for the 40 days in John 2022 Christ breathed on them and they received the Holy Spirit temporarily But the permanent dwelling did not take place to help Pentecost we have now Bill in Valrico Florida and Bill welcome to

Bibleline you’re on the air I’m on the air. Yes you are. Alright well good morning how are you today? Good good how about yourself? I am doing a test really wonderful on this smoke filled air day. Oh I know it. Amazing isn’t it that these fires have just filled our air with smoke? I know anyway I bet you might find this kind of interesting I didn’t have a question but I do have a question to ask you after this.

You know everybody’s always worried about the rapture and you know what’s gonna have disappear and all that. My roommate who always comes up with, I don’t know where he heard this information, but he said that the airlines now, apparently it’s all the airlines, have a rule. I’ve never heard that, but that is interesting if it were true, but I would like to find out where he heard that information. I’m glad to ask him. It seems doubtful to me, but I’d like to see that in print someplace if you can come up with it.

Right, and you know, when you think about this, if the airlines are starting to believe this, there’s got to be something to it. That’s good. Yeah, but I just thought that, well, that might put to rest some people’s fears about like, you know, you’re flying at 35,000 feet and the pilot until about disappear. Well, as you’re a Christian, you don’t have to worry at all because it doesn’t matter. I know, but I worry about the people that aren’t. And then the question I have to ask you, what exactly does the word baptism mean?

Okay. The word baptism means to wash or to cleanse, to fully well. There are ten different baptisms taught in the New Testament. Most of them are dry, don’t involve any liquid whatsoever. You have the baptism of fire that doesn’t involve a liquid that’s hell. There is the baptism of the Holy Spirit that doesn’t involve a liquid. The Holy Spirit takes the believer and places them, fully immerses them into the body of Christ at the moment of belief. There is the baptism of death mentioned in Matthew chapter 20.

When a person dies, they are fully overcome by death. death. Their bodies will begin to corrupt and decay and return back to dust. But if you’re a believer, your soul and spirit will go to be with the Lord and so on. So the word baptism simply means to wash your cleanse or fully wamp. And it does not necessarily mean with water. Only a small percentage of the time that the word baptism is used doesn’t mean water. Right because I’ll always remember the movie that Godfather well Michael Corleone while his His grandson was being baptized the other guys are out just blowing everybody away and I just that’s kind of like you know, you know, it’s good critical.

Yeah, very good. I just always remember that scene from the Godfather. But anyway, listen, I thank you for taking my call. You have a wonderful day. All right. I never heard anything about airlines making that distinction. I suspected that’s not good information. But I’d love to see it. And thank you for the call bill. We have another Bill and this is in Smokey Tampa, Florida. So I think everybody in Tampa is in smoke for sure. All right, Bill, you’re on the air.

Hey, Dr. Hank, I certainly appreciate your ministry and books that he speaks highly to appreciate that. Well, good. I have a question about the young lady that called a while ago, Psalm 83 18, just to preface it, my wife grew up as a Joe was witnessing, fact her parents were missionaries in Guatemala and she has been saved and she does have that eternal salvation and she is actually a very on fire for the Lord. You explained that verse but you kind of went through it real quick and I’m thinking that she was probably listening to you and with the repetitive that you got off the phone with her she may be thinking well he doesn’t really you know he just wanted to kind of go through that explanation again on that.

We were watching the clock here and we were coming up hard and fast on the break and we didn’t really have any time to do that. So I hope she’s still listening. Obviously God’s name is for consonants from the Hebrew YHWH and really nobody knows how to pronounce it. And here’s referring to that name and of Of course, in the King James translation, they decided to put the vowel sounds from Adonoy in between the four consonants, and they came up with three syllables, Ja or Ja, Hovah, and they put it in the King James Bible as Ja Hovah.

There’s no J sound in Hebrew, so that’s certainly not correct. But Ja Hovah is the way they came up with the pronunciation. but more reasonable and probably more accurate is a more modern application where they put two vowels, A and E between the Y, H and W, H, which would be Yahweh. And that’s now becoming very popular as the way to pronounce God’s name. But really nobody knows for sure and both groups might be wrong. But Jesus is Yahweh, which the Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t recognize, and the word Yasha, Y-A-S-H-A, along with the four letters and the don’t want to sit there quite familiar with the Greek term for those four letters that are God’s name that they pronounced Jehovah is the Tetramaton.

If you want to know your friends, you tell us say, do you know anything about the Tetramaton? Well, the Tetramaton really is an expression that means for consonants, and it’s God’s personal name from the Old Testament. So when you take Yahweh and Yahshah, you put them together. The contraction is Yeshua, and in English the exact equivalent is Jesus. So Yeshua from the Hebrew, which is Yahweh and Yasha, is in English translated Jesus, and so Jesus is Yahweh or Jehovah.

And amazingly, the Jehovah’s Witnesses reject the fact that Jesus is God, that he is Yahweh, and therefore they’re lost. John 824, Jesus said, I, if you believe not that I am, You are going to die in your sins. Now I am as the name Yahweh used when he appeared to Moses at the burning bush in the next chapter 3. And so he is claiming to be the same God that appeared to Moses and he says unless you believe that I am you are going to die in your sins which means you will die accountable for your sins and be cast into the everlasting lake of fire.

The witnesses are in trouble. They really are even according to the Bible Godless because it says in 2nd John verse 9 that if you do not abide in the doctrine of Christ, you don’t have God. So they’re godless, really, although they don’t know it, and they need to know Jesus as their Savior. It says, He that the ninth, the Son, the same hath not the Father. In 1 John 2, 23, and so it goes on to say, but He that acknowledges the Son, the same hath the Father also.

The witnesses need the Son in order to have Yahweh or Jehovah, however they want to pronounce it and i hope that helps a little bit but bill things for bringing them that that he’s right there with the on that i want to quit what i thought that’s right so went through the he didn’t even know no great who who instituted that he doesn’t even know greek uh… who’s that no they were talking about what went back uh… when when that’s ronzo went was brought in front of a judge all the court hearing right at you know and uh…

the they don’t seem to uh… I don’t think it accomplishes all much to bring it up, but yeah, he’s the founder of the whole witness movement. He was obviously a deceiver too, and he misled everybody. But I think if we just think of the scriptures, we’ve got more than enough ammunition to show the witnesses that they’re wrong and they’re lost and they need Christ. And they really need to get saved in our hearts, go out to them, and we need to pray for them that they would be delivered from this deception.

I’m with you on that one. I appreciate all of your ministry, all of your knowledge. Thanks an awful lot, Bill, and God bless you. And we have got Jim in St. Petersburg on the line, and Jim, welcome to Bibleline you’re on here. Yes. How are you doing, Dr. Hank? My question is about Matthew the 13th chapter where the Lord Jesus talks about the parables of the kingdom of heaven. Are those parables for us today or are they for the thousand year reign of Christ?

Well the answer is they are really for the, they really are basically centered around the tribulation period which in the broader sense is considered a part of the millennium. The seven years that are the setup years or the pre-thousand year, seven years that prepare the way for Christ to establish the kingdom which will be the kingdom of the heavens of the heavens ruling over the earth is those seven years and you notice it talks about during that time in these parables that Satan will be very active and he’ll plant seed and his seed is the children of which are called terrors and the children of God are of course the wheat and it talks about this harvest and the harvest is really at the end of the tribulation and only the wheat enter into the millennium.

says is a very clearly there in Matthew 13 when the angels separate out the lost from the save, that the lost are cast into an unquenchable fire into a furnace of fire, and they will be wailing in the ash of teeth. Then verse 43 of Matthew 13 says, then shall the righteous, that is the believers who get saved in the tribulation which are the wheat here, shall shine forth as the sun in kingdom of their father, which is that earthly kingdom that Christ will establish during that thousand year time.

And so, yes, it’s all about the millennium, the kingdom of the heavens, the heavens rule over the earth and the years that precede it, which is primarily focusing on the tribulation the beard that set it up. A lot of preachers teach that for the church age. I think even the so filled Bible, because I’ve been studying that. And he seems to imply that those are meant for the church age. It’s really not. No, they’re not. They’re not at all.

And I have a teaching, I think, 10 or 12 hours on CD on parables. And we go through all of these Matthew 13 parables and I suck them. And you might enjoy getting that set to… go through the parables. But one thing about parables is you need to be careful because parables were written to concealed truth, not revealed truth. In Mark Schostel in chapter 4, Christ City spoke of parables that seeing they would not see and that hearing they would not understand less than any time that you’d be converted in or since you’d be forgiven them.

So parables were to concealed truth from those who didn’t really want to throw truth and yet the Bible tells the believer that they are powerfully informative to us, but we have to be careful that our interpretation lines up with all the rest of Scripture. So hope that helps a little bit, but I have a good series on parables that a lot of people have enjoyed. You might be interested in that. I don’t know, but you can call if you want to get it and they’ll be able to tell you how to.

Okay. Well, thanks so much. Thank you. Thank you for that call. We have lots of callers, boy they’re all over the place and we also have some off here. I think I’ll take a quick off here. Joyce in Charlottesville, New York, calls in. She leaves this question this morning. Why would somebody be a disciple of Jesus and not be saved? That’s a wonderful question. But apparently there are many and I think it’s because they are thinking somehow that being a disciple of Jesus will save them.

In other words, they are under the delusion that they by their works and by their good deeds can enter heaven. Matthew 722 is about a whole group of people just like that that assume based upon the good deeds that they are doing in the name of Christ that they will be eligible to enter heaven and they tell Christ, look at what we’ve done. We should be able to enter your heaven. And Jesus says in Matthew 7, 23, I never knew you.

None I once knew you and I lost you, but these are not saved at all. So it just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, doesn’t. And Joyce also asked the second question, Jesus gives four categories of people. What are they? Which Dr. J. Jones are saved. Well, we have the, in John 15, the no fruit Christians, and then you have, and it’s not just people, but we’re talking now about those who name the name of Christ, but they’re no fruit and they’re fruit and more fruit and much fruit.

So those are the four categories. The first category is those that don’t produce any fruit. They’re Christians but not fruit producing. Then we have three categories of good soil where Christians produce fruit which is what we ought to do as a believer and that’s where rewards come in. Now in the parable of the sower you have four categories, seeds sewn by the wayside, those are not saved at all. But then I believe the next three categories are saved. The one seed sewn among the thorns and on stony places, both of those are saved but they don’t produce fruit.

So there is no fruit category. And then we have the last which is seed soda and good ground. And then you have the three categories that are mentioned from John 15, the fruit, more fruit and much fruit categories which are the thirty full, sixty full and a hundred fold Christians. Hope that helps Joyce, that’s a little bit of it. We have Albert in Richmond, Virginia and Albert welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes sir. I had a guy the other day say that this scripture that says that it’s my people who call my name will humble themselves and pray, you know, in terms of the wicked ways and that I will heal the land.

Yes. Same. Same. Christ. Anyway, this pastor, this preacher was saying that that really was a misquoted prayer because Mrs. Prayer because that was for back around 80-70 after something other happened and that really wasn’t for the day. Well in one sense he’s right. You know it’s back in 2 Chronicles 7, 14 and that was way back there addressed to Israel. If my people call by my name Israel is God, is child of God, or uses God’s name. These were people named for God because they had received his word and at one time a lot of them were saved.

But he said if they would only obviously… talking about Israel and the real fulfillment of that was way back there long before Christ came even the first time second chronicle 714 Thank you for calling in we are out of time.
