So if you can, we’d love to have you come and we’d get you into the baptism that Sunday afternoon at 3. So if you have not been water baptized, which is something that many believers have never done, it is a testimony. something that you and I as a believer ought to do, I remember doing that as a new believer by immersion, even though I had been so-called baptized as an infant, there is no such thing in the Bible as infant baptism.
So I remember after I got saved, I wanted to be baptized as the Bible talks about being baptized, and I was baptized by immersion. A picture of how Now I was cleansed of my sin by the bud of Christ, the water was just… The 19th of August will be having our third Sunday dinner. If you would like to be baptized, we have some people coming from a distance that just don’t have a church home and somebody to baptize them.
You’re welcome to join our baptism service. It will be three in the afternoon. It will be at a beautiful lake just north of our church. Church and we’re going to be motivating on up right after the lunch. So you can make it today, join the 1030 service and then stay for the lunch and then go with us to the baptism. This is my blind we will have the class on John tonight. you can call in sign up, get the test code, and see that on the internet live and also repeated as often as you like throughout the entire course. And of course we have the CDs will be burning those and making them all 12 hours available for those that would like to get the course on John. We have a lot of different classes that I’ve taught.
Many of them are on just a topic like the Rapture, in-time controversies, Jesus is coming, meeting the challenge, parables, how to lead souls to Christ, balancing the Christian life and on and on and on. Those are usually 10 or 12 hours of teaching. One 12 hour teaching is on the Holy Spirit. That was a good series. You might want to get that if you have questions about the Holy Spirit. Then we have books of the Bible where I’ve done the book of Revelation, the book of Daniel, and of course the book of Matthew, Ephesians, Jude, Romans, Hebrews, and many, many, many more.

And you can order off of that, or if you have internet, you can go to our online bookstore. The website address is BibleLineMinistries.org. BibleLineMinistries.org. Our worship services are also available on the Internet. We had apparently somebody from out in the Pacific Ocean on a little tiny island that holds, I guess they have a population of 200,000, but that was a first for us for him watching the program live from the Pacific.
So we’re reaching out all over the world and that was the first contact we’ve had with that island group and we’re very excited about how God is using Bible and reaching out all over the world. We’re going to get into the Bible for a few minutes and then we have lots of offer questions. We’re going to try to get those and we’d love to have you call in. The number here if you want to call in is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771.
Yesterday we were not able to be up live. We did a repeat, but that was interesting because the person who came out showed us that a squirrel had gnawed through our line that gets us up to Detroit to go up on the satellite. Isn’t that amazing? So in any case that squirrel I hope he found it tasty, but you chewed up our line so that we couldn’t get up on here We have been repaired and now we should be up on the air with you right now as a result.
In any case, turn of view will in your Bible to the book of Romans. We are going to take a look at a couple of verses here that are wonderful. In chapter 10 we have Paul the Apostle expressing his desire for Jewish people to be saved. Paul himself was a Jew. He was of the tribe of Benjamin. And Paul tells us in Romans 10 1, brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved.
What do we learn? We know that Jewish people, unless they trust Christ, are not saved. And Paul here, who became saved himself by trusting in Jesus as his Savior, now has a great desire to win fellow Jews to a saving knowledge of Christ. I’ve let a number of Jewish people to Christ over the years and they need to trust Christ as their Savior as well. Remember, there’s only one Savior and that is a Jewish Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Also, all the disciples are Jewish. I think one of the things that’s kind of interesting to me is that in the heavenly city, The New Jerusalem where we’ll all live one day, there are twelve gates and each one of them is named after a Jew. That’s right. They’re named after the twelve patriarchs or the twelve sons of Jacob or the twelve sons of Israel. So in order to enter the New Jerusalem, the heavenly city where we’ll live with God, the Bible tells us that you’ll have to go through a gate that’s named after a Jew.
When the Bible says salvation is of the Jews, that’s no doubt about it. shows to bring about salvation through the Jewish people, through the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And we find that the Word of God is also Jewish. We really have as Christians Jewish roots because our Bible is Jewish. The prophets were Jewish that gave us the Old Testament. The apostles were Jewish that gave us the New Testament and we find that Jesus was God who took on Jewish flesh and Definitely my heart goes out to Israel We know they need to know Jesus as Savior in order to be saved and so we ought to be telling them the good news Let me read the verse again Romans 10 1 Paul says as brother in my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved.
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according Rebellious. It’s amazing how many people fit into that category, not only Jewish people, but they’re zealous, they’re religious, they might attend church regularly and do many wonderful things, but yet they’re not saved. And that’s what it’s saying here about these Jewish brethren that he wanted to win the Christ. He says verse 3, For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness have not submitted themselves under the righteousness of God.
What it’s saying here is that, and most people follow this trap myself included, I thought that I had to live righteously to go to heaven. I thought it was based upon my works that would one day be weighed in a scale whether I would make heaven not be determined by whether I had more good works than bad works when the works were weighed in the scale. Well, that’s not true. The Bible requires God’s righteousness to be able to have it.
And most of us have been kept ignorant of that. I was raised in church for 18 years, never heard until I was 18 that I had to be as righteous as God to go to heaven. And when I heard that I said, how in the world can that ever take place? How could I ever do that? I heard at the same time, Revelation 21, 27, that just one lie would exclude me from heaven. You see, I had to be as perfect as God in heaven and I wasn’t.
But the answer is found in Christ that Jesus is God and He substituted Himself in our place at the cross and he took your sin and mind and paid for it in full by his death at the cross and there is an exchange or trade made when you trust Christ. The very righteousness of God or Christ is counted to your account and God sees the believer as righteous. You know Romans 3 and 10 says as it is written there is none righteous, no not one.
And yet we have to be as righteous as God in heaven. How can that be? Then, a righteous, yet the Bible talks about people that are righteous, and it tells us that when we place our faith in Christ, that God counts our faith for righteousness. Look at Romans 4 and 5. It says to Him that worketh not, but believeth on Jesus that justifies the ungodly. That’s us. It says your faith in Christ is counted for righteousness. Isn’t that wonderful?
In other words, when you place your faith in Christ because of his substitutionary death, because he is righteous and he took our sins and died in our place at the cross, God can exchange with us and he credits our account with his righteousness. Well, that’s what it’s saying here in verse 3 of Romans 10. It says, they, the Jewish people, being ignorant of God’s righteousness, that’s the requirement for salvation and going about to establish their own righteousness. You know, most people I witness too are trying to be good to go to heaven.
And you know, that’s what the world thinks. I think it was a song years ago, a song about a teenager that his baby, his girlfriend, died in a car crash. And he sang his lyrics in that song, he’s got to be good. So he could go to heaven to see his girlfriend in heaven. that song reflected what I hear a lot in songs and that is The wrong concept that you have to be good to be able to have.
When our goodness, our righteousness, is filthy rags. And yes, you have to be good, but you have to have the goodness or righteousness of God, which is given by faith. Now let’s look at the key verse here verse 4 of Romans 10, where it says Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believe it. In other words, everything that the law demanded in the way of you being righteous or perfect is fulfilled and Christ, and when you believe on Christ, then you are made righteous before God through Christ.
Later on it says in verse 12 of this chapter, there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile. For the same Lord pestic is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. What it’s saying here, there is no difference between whether you are Jewish or a Gentile, you are lost until you trust Christ, but whosoever would call upon the name of the Lord, and obviously his name is Yeshua from the Hebrew, and in English it is translated Jesus.
So when you trust Jesus as your Savior, it’s at that moment God saves you and saves you eternally. We’re so glad you’re listening today. We’re going to go to the phone lines and we’re going to try to take as many offer questions as we can. We’re going to go now to the land floor. Let me give you the phone number before we pick up, but the phone number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to the land floor and we’re going to pick up IRV in the land.
Welcome to Bible Inuit on the Year. Thank you, brother. And I have to say that your ministry has, by being able to some of the things that I’ve heard and read from other ministries. For example, last night I discovered a great big, but that’s not the reason I’m calling. I have an unusual question involving applying what I believe I am applying a physical principle I have been married for a long time now for 10 years, almost 10 years to a very, very contentious woman.
It is an almost impossible day to carry on a discussion with her. her without her attempting to make it any sarcastic remarks. first I used to engage in this but then what I have been doing is simply refusing to enter in the Congress. What I’m facing that on is I believe there are several examples in the In the book ofRequires where Paul ends up trying to discuss things with people and he’s getting nowhere so he simply walks away. Am I on firm biblical ground by my actions in this matter, regarding?
Well… Well you know the Bible tells us to a soft answer turns away wrath and of course I think We just need to be good listeners. The Bible says in James that we ought to be slow to speak. We need to be careful with our words. I think you can inflame something and also I think by your words you can also not only bring calmness and reason to the conversation but hopefully be successful in communicating with her. Communication is obviously a skill that we all need to develop.
The Bible has a lot of wonderful hints,Pittion the Book of Proverbs, about how to deal with the opposite spouse and to deal with other people, neighbors, and even our enemies. I think backing down a little bit, letting her do the talking, and just a soft answer and being slow to respond will probably help a lot. Well thank you sir. And God bless you. Thank you for calling in from the land Florida. And if you’d like to call in, you’re welcome.
They found the one, and then They found the right shows, and then then then then the right shows, and he’s stuck around, and then the right shows, and he’s not standing but breathing. We have Mark in Bradenton, Florida, and he says, please give scripture reference and explain the grave’s opening And those walking in the city when Jesus died. Well, that’s over in Matthew chapter 27 and we find that when Christ rose from the dead, there was a sampling of the resurrection at that point where there were others given the resurrection bodies.
and it says walked into the holy city. They were actually seen. And that was a picture of the rapture. You know when Christ came back on the feast of first fruits, the feast of first fruits was all about harvest, and it was about how people would go out into the fields, grab handfuls of grain, bring them back before the high priest and wave them as a sampling of the harvest that would come. Christ being raised from the dead on the Feast of First Fruits, it tells us that He was in 1 Corinthians 15, 20-22.
Christ is called the first fruits of the resurrection. He also gave resurrection bodies to a sampling to show that the resurrection will take place in the future, and that all of us will receive our resurrection bodies. And the Bible, of course, gives us the order of the resurrection, the first ones are the ones at the rapture. Then seven years later at the second coming, all the Old Testament saints and tribulation saints, and then after the thousand-year earthly reign of Christ, there will be the unsaved dead coming up out of Hades and receiving their bodies and then being cast into the everlasting lake of fire.
fire. But the passage you’re referring to is Matthew 2751 through 56 and it says that the graves were opened and many bodies of the saints which slept arose and came out of the graves after his resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared unto many. So that’s Matthew 27. Hopefully that helps Mark and it’s a fascinating passage but I believe as you connect with other scriptures, this is the fulfillment of the Old Testament picture given to us by the Feast of First Fruits.
As Christ died on the Feast of Passover, was buried during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, came back from the dead on the Feast of First Fruits, and then this age began at Pentecost, which was the fourth feast, exactly on the day. Exciting stuff, and we sure do thank you for calling in. We’re now going to go to Jim, if Jesus has always been how can he be the first born of all creation? Well in Colossians 1 15 it says he is the first born but that’s a title of head ship.
You don’t have to be first born in order of your existence to be the first born. In other words, when you know the story of Jacob and Esau, Esau was the first born. Jacob because Esau’s soul, his birthright, became heir to that title, the firstborn. And in the Bible, we have numerous examples of those that were secondborn, that became firstborn, and it’s Christ there talking about his title of headship, that he’s the head over all of creation. And that’s what Colossians 1 continues to say.
You need to read that whole chapter. It’s a wonderful chapter. Thank you, Jim, and Tampa, Florida. All fear leaves that question. We have Priscilla in Tampa, Florida calling in leaving this offer a question. I would like to know what is the best Bible available and She says it should include the Bible version that’s most true to the original text the background meaning of the words What each Bible passage is about and the culture in which each chapter was written and etc.
I appreciate your help Well my feeling on that is it’s the old Scofield reference Bible That’s what I use and I find it very, very helpful. And it has, of course, I use the King James edition of the old Scofield, but it has a lot of reference notes, especially, to when a word has changed meaning or is not translated correctly, the Scofield will help you out. And also when culture does really make an impact on what the passage is talking about, about it also helps you with that.
I recommend the old school field reference Bible. Priscilla, thank you for your question and we’re going to now talk about what Carl has to say. Carl, in Tampa, Florida leaves us off their question. Please explain Matthew 548. Well, it fits right with what we talked about in our monologue today and that is you have to be perfect as perfect as God is to go to heaven. And that’s exactly what Jesus said when he talks about the righteousness that we need to be able to enter heaven.
In Matthew chapter 5 in verse 48, Jesus says that you have to be as righteous. As God, you have to be as perfect, as the Father is in heaven. Let me quote the exact verse, it says here, be, therefore, perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. That’s how perfect you have to be to be able to go to heaven, and all of us, obviously, have come short of that righteousness or the glory of God, and that’s why we need the new birth that’s why we need to trust Christ as our savior.
Thank you for that question. By the way, the phone number here, if you want to dial in, is 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. We now have Floyd in date city, so some churches have their congregations and they stand at the beginning of the service and read the Scriptures is that biblical and I think that certainly Anytime we read the scriptures that is very very significant and Certainly we ought to do that so I think that’s just perfectly fine. There’s no verse that tells us not to but certainly is something That we probably ought to do hope that helps and Thank you for calling in today.

Check that out and see what you can do. And I hope you will. Alright. In any case, this is Bibleline and we’re going to go back to some of the on-air questions. We have John in Tampa, Florida and John, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hey, Dr. Lynch, and this is John. John, I’m a co-worker of Ishmael. I’ve met you a couple times, but I wanted to ask you a question about salvation. I know how you stand on it as far as you can’t lose it, but we’re actually trying to…
He’s actually trying to figure out just out of the passage of John 3 16, and what we believe in him has everlasting life. But one thing I know I’m curious about is it says, believes in the present tense, not as believed in the past tense. So I’ll think you have to still believe to keep your salvation. Like I know it. Like, so you can’t lose it. lose it but it just and that patches that I infer that you have to still believe anyway what we have to do is just believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and if you have trusted him as your Savior it really doesn’t matter when you did it As long as you know you have trusted Christ, you are saved.
And that’s the important thing. And so it’s, you know, some people worry, well, when did I do it? Or did I believe enough? As long as you’re trusting in Christ, in Christ alone, God saves you and saves you eternally. And it’s a done deal. So I would not be worried about some of the fine details. details are, we just simply say that who, so ever, believe it in Christ? Sure not perish, but have it a last thing. Regulatory sixteen and when ever you believe that word in the Greek is in intense it means from the moment you believe and forever thereafter with the time on if it’s impossible to reverse the consequences I’mUE about to believe you become saved in your saving terminally.
Okay. Well if you didn’t like, I’d you have some Ph.D. that I know people that have grown up in the Church believing and then something terrible happened to them and like right now they’re just they would still have their salvation but well if they’re safe forever they cannot be lost and i think you’re right a lot of people have bad experiences and they’ve gotten mad at god and and of course that’s a mistake because uh… it’s not god that we are uh…
really to be mad at because there are people that will disappoint you and you get mad at god for that and It’s not God’s fault. We need to keep looking at the Lord and looking to His Word. His Word will never fail us. Jesus will never fail us. And we need to keep our eyes on Him because men will disappoint you. The middle verse of the Bible Psalm 118 8 says that we need to put our confidence in the Lord and not put our trust or confidence in men.
And that’s absolutely the way it ought to be as a believer. If you do that, you’re not going to, I think, ever fall into that trap. What happens is in some churches there are things that happen that are really disappointing to people and they just say, well, I’m going to quit going to church. And so what can I say? And they make the wrong choice. It kind of reminds me of the story. Somebody kept, they had a smoking problem and they kept reading all these ads about the dangers of smoking and why you shouldn’t smoke and why you ought to try to quit smoking and so on and so on.
And so what did they do? They gave up reading. And I think it’s the same thing that sometimes Christians do. They have a bad experience instead of giving up on the Lord. They give up on, or rather on realizing the circumstances are bad. They just need to turn back to the Lord and the Lord himself will maybe lead him to another place or help him get straight in the Bible with whatever they need to have resolved. Because my trust is in the Lord not in humans they’ll always disappoint you.
Okay, well, alright, Dr. Hanks, I appreciate your time. Thank you. We now have Paul in Seminole, Florida and Paul, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Fine. You’re on the air, Paul. Fine. Hi, you’re on the air. I’m still on, yeah. Yeah, you’re on and you’re on live right now on the radio. Okay. What is your question? Fine. What is your question? Oh, I want to explain that second second second. I don’t use two one to three Okay looks like it.
They are Lord cannot come into after the reveal the enterprise. I want to ask you Well, they were not coming to them and it quite reveal verse three one to three. Okay, I’ll do that right now You know it’s talking there about the tribulation period which is called the day of the Lord the day of the Lord includes the seven years of tribulation that precede the thousand year reign. When we talk real technical, the day of the Lord is the thousand year day.
It’s the thousand year rule of Christ here on the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. But it also includes the seven years of preparation, which are the last seven years of the Old Testament ages. It still have to take off the clock. And And once the rapture happens, that seven years will take place. And that’s exactly what 2 Thessalonians are talking about. It says a departure has to take place first, and then the Antichrist will be revealed and then the Day of the Lord will be underway.
Now the Greek word there in verse 3 is the word that should be translated to departure. Now what has happened is that some people have wrongly imagined it’s a departure from solid doctrine and therefore they call it an apostasy. And I think Dr. Schofia even has that in the center column. But I don’t believe it’s talking about that at all. In the context when it says let no man deceive you by any means for that they shall not come except they’re coming instead of a falling way it should read a departure.
The departure is of the Holy Spirit. When you go a little further down in this chapter, it says in verse 6, now you know what with Haldith that he… The Antichrist might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity death already work. Only he who now leadeth. It should read Hindreth will continue to hinder until he be taken out of the way. Well the one who hinders iniquity in this world is the Holy Spirit in us as believers.
And when he is taken up then we go up. When the Holy Spirit goes we go because he involves in us permanently. And so when he’s taken up and out of the way then it’s at that point. that the That we we go up in the Antichrist will be revealed and will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air That’s exciting and I hope that helps a little bit, but that’s the departure And I think you have to read those other verses there about the Holy Spirit being taken out of the way that he will continue to hinder In equity in us the believers were the salt of the earth until the rapture and when we depart when he departs Then the Antichrist will be revealed What about the regathering together?
What’s that? Well, the gathering together is when we meet the Lord in the air upon that departure. When you go up, when the Holy Spirit goes up, every believer of this age from Pentecost, total rapture, will be gathered together in one place at one time, and that’s in the upper atmosphere above the earth. First the saloon is four, describes that meeting in the air, and that’s going to be a glorious event. So it will be our gathering together with all the other believers and with the Lord in the air above the atmosphere.
And then meanwhile back on the earth, the tribulation period will be underway. The day of the Lord will have commenced. The Antichrist will be revealed, and that’s what it’s talking about. Does that help? I just saw it. It seemed like it might be revealed before we got it together. The Antichrist is not going to be revealed until after we are taken out. Please notice when it says here about the Holy Spirit in verse 7, the mystery of iniquity death already worked.
Only he the Holy Spirit who now hindreth will continue to hinder until he the Holy Spirit will be taken out of the way. Then it says verse 8, and then shall that wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth and destroy with the brightness of his coming. So it’s after the departure of the Holy Spirit which is after we depart with the Holy Spirit at the Rapture that the Antichrist has revealed. You see it?
Thank you. All right Paul, very good and I did a 12 hour series on the Rapture and we cover all these things in this passage in particular. You might want to order that series on the Rapture. It’s one that’s very, very good and very helpful for those that are struggling with these passages. We have Wilfredo in Deltona Beach, Florida, and he says, I am reading a daily bread with a NIV translation. Is this okay? And I would say no, because the NIV is a bad translation, and I’m surprised that they’re publishing that using that translation.
The NIV, if you read the early verses in the Gospels, makes Joseph to be the Father of Jesus. Well, that makes Jesus a man and not God. And we find it drops 44 verses in their entirety. I wouldn’t want a Bible that has that many deletions. Not only the 44 verses in their entirety, but really thousands of other more subtle deletions are in the NIV. You don’t want that Bible at all. I would try to get, if you get a daily bread devotional, get it with the King James translation.
We have Nissi in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She says, my pastor said that Christians will be at the Great White Throne judgment. Is this true? I think it might be true in the sense that But we will be there judging the world, judging angels as they are cast into the lake of fire. Kind of a scary moment isn’t it? To think that we will be standing there and maybe some of those being cast into hell will point their finger at us and accuse us of not having witness to them.
Say, How come you never told me? How come you let me go to hell without your telling me about the gospel? I’m going to turn to a passage that will answer that question for you. It’s in 1 Corinthians 6, Missy from Chattanooga, and it says here, do you not, verse 2 of 1 Corinthians 6, know that the saints… He said, I want to say that the world shall judge the world. If the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
So it tells us here that we’re going to judge the world. I believe that’s the unsaved that we’ll end up going to hell. So we’ll be probably there at the judge’s price simply as ones that will be judging. And notice it also says in verse 3, no you’re not that we shall judge the angels also. And that I believe is the fallen angel. So we’re going to have some part in judging the fall angels, Satan’s angels, and also in the judgment of the lost when at the great white throne judgment is determined the degree of punishment that they’ll receive in hell.
We’re now going to Texas and we’re going to talk to Tyrone. Tyrone, welcome to Bibleline from Texas. You’re on the air. Hey, sir. Sir, I have a question with regards to eternal salvation. I was reading John 3.16. I said, for God so loved the word that he gave his only begotten son, that his only god son, that who served, believed this. And as I began to look at it word, believed this, E.T.H., it is a continual thing. So my question is, can you believe that one point in time it didn’t stop believing?
Is that possible in dance, Bill, make it into heaven? Well, the… Well, no, once you believe you’re stuck, it’s too late. It’s irreversible and it really doesn’t mean to continue believing. It means that the results of the belief, at the moment of belief, continue on forever. And that’s really what’s going on there. But there’s an interesting passage, Tyrone. I think you’ll find this interesting and Tyrone is calling in all the way from the great state of Texas. And it tells us in Timothy, and I’m heading over there now, and I’ll give you the exact reference in just a minute.
But this is, it should be Second Timothy and it should be chapter 2. And it says here, Tyrone in verse 13 of chapter 2 of Second Timothy, if we believe not, yet he, God, abided faithful, he cannot deny himself. So here talks about the scenario, even if you don’t believe, too bad, so sad, because He can’t deny the promise that he made to save you eternally when you did believe on Christ. So, you’re still saved and this passage here talks about you’ll lose out in the way of reward and blessings because you’re not living for him.
And then it encourages us in verse 15, which I love to study to show ourselves approved as workmen that need not to be ashamed. So, you’ll probably be ashamed and you’ll suffer the loss of reward, but no, you’ll not be lost. It says even if you believe not, God still will abide faithful and keep His promise. Right. Right now I do have another question in regards to Luke chapter 16 and it involves the rich man and Lazarus and the rich man ended up going to hell.
And as I was looking at that Abraham called the rich man son with a capital S now can a son of God, a person that’s walking the suns here around they go to hell because he called and he called the man of God. they call them son well he’s Well, He’s calling Him Son because He’s a Jew. Abraham is the Father of the Jewish race, and everybody descended from Abraham, He would call him His Son because they are of His lineage.
and the fact that the son capitalizes because it’s the beginning of a sentence and it has no special meaning there so uh… the rich man was lost he never believed on jesus and he finds himself not in hell but in Hades he’s in flaming torment but he’s uh… conscious and has full memory and i remember him reminds him of his days back up on the earth when he had everything going well for him and he says now you’re in torment and there’s not much you can do about it so the man then became concerned about his brothers that were still living up on the earth and he wants uh…
aberham to send lazar thurs somebody to go back to his house and witness to his brothers lest they would also come to this place of torment but uh… the zen hell yeah that man is still by the way in the eighties and he’s still in flame and torment and will remain there uh… for at least a thousand more years until after the thousand year of Christ and then he will be brought up and then finally cast into hell after his works are evaluated and he’s assigned a degree of punishment in the everlasting lake of fire.
In other words, also he never did believe right. No. Never did trust Christ to save your know. Okay. That’s the only way to be saved. Ron, thank you for calling. Right. That was Tyrone out in Texas calling in. We have Joe in Pimbroke, Pine’s Florida, leaving an offer equation. He says, who wrote the creed and should we adhere to it? Thank you for clearing up the fact that Jesus did not go to hell when he died on the cross.
Why does so many pastors teach? He did go to hell. I think it’s because they’re not familiar with their Bible and too many times we get information from other sources/> The Apostles Creed is a man made creed but it’s wrong because it says that Christ descended into hell and that is not true. Christ never went to hell and some of the so-called faith preachers teach that Jesus did battle with the demons and was Satan in hell and then it looked like it was all over and then somehow Jesus gets a nice upper cut on Satan and knocks him out cold and wins the victory and finally defeats the devil and pays for all of our sin.
That’s nonsense. Christ paid for every one of our sins on the cross. When Jesus said it is finished, it means he fully paid our sin debt by his death while he was still on the cross. And so this is not true at all and it’s terribly wrong. So in any case, we do thank you Joe for that question. And I think a lot of pastors are not doing their homework and studying their Bible. In fact, most seminaries really don’t teach you much about the Bible.
I’ve talked to so many who’ve gone to different seminaries and they tell me that they learn all about managing a church and a lot of other administrative things but they don’t really learn the Bible. So they learn tools about how to study the Bible but they never really taught the Bible and that’s a shame and it’s a big error going on there with what I call sometimes our cemeteries because our cemeteries sometimes are cemeteries. in Tampa calls ACTIONS, we who are saved, when Rapture, not to when Rapture may be, what age will our body be?
And will we repopulate the earth? Well first of all, Mary, there will be no sex and repopulation, no children being born to us once we receive our resurrection bodies. In Matthew 22.30 it says we’ll be like the angels. They neither marry nor are they given in marriage, and so there will be no having children in heaven. So no, we will not repopulate the earth. Our body will be like Christ’s body. Therefore we believe it will probably be in the prime of life.
Christ was 33 years of age when he died, and he came back in that same body that was in the prime of life. I believe that since our bodies will be like Christ’s body, that we’ll have a body in appearance anyway. It will be about 33 years of age, although it will last us forever and ever and ever. So, wow, it’s going to be quite a remarkable thing, but it will be in its prime of life. If you’re a child, you’ll be older in appearance and appear to be about 33.
If you’re older you’ll be younger in heaven and you’ll return to the days of your youth the Bible says, and so you’ll be about 33 years of age. The phone number here at Bible is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We have Trelis in Tampa, Florida, calling in. Please comment on women teaching on 1 Corinthians 12 and number 3 gifts and the divine order of the church. Well, that’s a whole lot of questions there. But women are not according to the Bible to be Bible teachers.
When you read about what the Bible says that women should teach, it’s over there in Titus. It’s a different word translated to teach there than the word in Timothy chapter 2 where it says women are not to teach that word meaning the Bible the word of God. There are not to be Bible teachers and there are two reasons given there in Timothy. It tells us that first of all Adam was created first then Eve. So for the chain of command, the authority God gave because man was created first.
The spiritual head of the home and the spiritual leaders in the church was all appointed unto the men. But also secondly, it tells us that Adam was not deceived back there in the garden, but Eve was. So we learn something about women. It is that they are more easily deceived in spiritual manners. You know, I just can’t find a good woman teacher out there that remain the sound K Arthur believes you can lose your salvation and So do almost all the ones that are on television and radio they all have flawed doctrines and those are major errors when you believe you can lose your Salvation so I would be very shy about listening to women Bible teachers, but it does tell us in Titus that they’re to teach, but here it tells you and limits what they teach in Titus chapter 2.
It says here the older women are to be good examples of behavior as become a holiness, not false accused, and so on, but they may teach the younger women to be here’s the list to be sober, to love their children, to love their husbands, to be discreet, to be chaste, to be keepers at home, to be good, to be obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasting. We have a lot of things that they can teach, but they’re not really to be teachers of God’s Word.
