get last Sundays and all the way back for probably six months or so. In any case, the third Sunday of this month we’re having a baptism. If you have not been water baptized since you’ve been saved, you ought to. is something the Lord has asked us to do. It doesn’t save us. We are saved by faith alone without works. Just like the nine thief simply believed, and the Lord said to him, today thou shalt be with me in paradise.

So it’s true of us when we believe on Christ. We’re saved. And water baptism is a testimonial later of how we’ve been cleansed of our sin by the blood of Jesus Christ. We certainly hope that you will take advantage of this baptism. If you’d like, it will be on Sunday the 19th of August. It will be at 3 in the afternoon and you can come to our morning worship and then stay for our wonderful dinner. We have our third Sunday dinner and then you can go with us to the baptism or you can just meet us at the baptism.

Call us and let us know your intentions and we’ll make sure that you get in on this baptism. We just finished classes 7 and 8 last night in a gospel of John. This series of 12 hours of teaching on John’s gospel will be available when we get all done. And you can order those CD series, 12 CDs, and that will be for a gift of $60. We have a lot of CD series on different books of the Bible, different topics, and you can get a resource sheet that will explain all the different series that we have in addition to the Schofield Bibles which are getting rare.

You don’t want to go out to the bookstore and get the new Schofield because it’s inferior. And you’ll want to get the old Schofield. That’s back either the 1909 or 1917 editions which we have here in our Resource Center. Everything from a softback for about $20 all the way up to a leather, genuine leather, a large print for a hundred dollars. Anyway, give this a call and our operators can help you. We’re going to get into the Bible for a little bit and then we’ll be answering your questions.

We have a lot of offer questions today and I’m sure we’ll have live callers calling in and we look forward to being with you. We want to welcome all those people up in Jacksonville that are becoming acquainted with us as we’re coming to you live at 10 o’clock in the morning as we come out of Tampa here live at 10 o’clock. We’re on into land Florida, and we’re also in Jacksonville, Florida, and we hope that you’re enjoying the program in those areas, plus all the areas of the country that are listening to my blind.

We believe that we’re living when Christ is gonna come back. There are many signs, I believe. the major sign. The Old Testament defines the latter days exactly in that way by defining it as when the Jewish people would return. The Bible is so amazing as it tells the future of cities, of individuals, of nations, and basically God’s overall plan for all of mankind, all tucked away in the Bible. And that’s why I believe the Bible is the Word of God.

It’s incredible. Back in Hosea, and this is in the Old Testament in chapter 3, we have God giving us a picture of the past 2000 years of Jewish history, and it’s amazingly right on. It says in verse 4, for the children of Israel, this is Hosea chapter 3 verse 4, the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without terrifim, and then afterward shall the children of Israel return and seek the Lord their God.”

It tells us here about a period of many days. I believe that many days is the time period between the two comings of Jesus. Notice the first part of the verse says that they would abide for these many days, I believe 2000 years without a king. You know when Christ came the first time, he came as king of Israel. And when they crucified him, the sign above the cross which stated his crime was that this Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.

So he was killed because he came and was rejected as the king that he of course really truly is. And so for the past 2000 years Israel has not had a king. But guess what? When Christ comes at the Second Coming, seven years after the Rapture, He’ll come back as a king. and he will set up a kingdom here on this earth that will never be overthrown. There will be peace on earth, good will toward men, and the earth will be at peace as the nations will not learn war anymore.

Next it says here, without a prince, and that means an heir to the Jewish throne. In order to prove that you are heir to the Jewish throne, you would have to be of the lineage of King David. And all the genealogical records were destroyed in AD 70 when the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed. So there is no one that can prove that they are heir to the throne except for one. That is Jesus Christ. His genealogy is preserved for you and me in the scriptures.

Read Matthew chapter 1. We have the genealogy of Christ as Jesus is related back to King David through Solomon and that is the line of Joseph. Then in Luke 3 we have the genealogy of Christ through David through his son Nathan and there you have the Mary side of the line. Both Joseph and Mary were related back to King David and the genealogies show and demonstrate that Jesus Christ is the legitimate heir to the throne of David and can one day rule over Israel as their king, as the promises were that the king that would come would sit upon the throne of David.

You know, that’s what the angel announced in Luke 1 to Mary. He said here, Behold thou shall conceive and thy womb, Luke 1, 31, shall bring forth the Son, and shall call his name Jesus. Verse 32, He shall be great. He shall be called the son of the highest and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David There you have it and then it says he shall reign over the house of Jacob or Jacob’s name was changed to Israel the house of Israel He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever and of his kingdom there shall be no end Pucking about Christ being the fulfillment of this amazing passage So, the Jewish people for many days now, for two thousand years, have not had a king.

They have rejected their king when he came the first time, but their king is coming again at the second coming. Without a prince, they don’t have an heir. Only Jesus can be the legitimate heir to the throne of David. Thirdly, it says without a sacrifice, which amazes me. Genesis. Chapter 4 on You See Sacrifice of Being Offered. Abel brought a lamb, a picture of Christ, the Lamb of God that would be slain for the sins of the world. Abel was not saved by offering up that lamb, but he was recognized as being saved by the Lord for having offered up that sacrifice.

It says in Hebrews 11 that he had obtained witness as God received that sacrifice that he was righteous. In other words, he was already saved and he gave witness to his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, by offering up a lamb a picture of Christ, the Lamb of God that would be slain for the world. But you know, all of a sudden, when Jesus was rejected, Jesus had told them their temple would be destroyed and it was. And you know, they have had no Jewish blood sacrifices since that temple in Jerusalem was destroyed 2,000 years ago.

Amazing! What a prophecy here! Hosea 3, 4 tells us they would be without a king, without a prince, without a sacrifice, all of that taking place in this 2,000 year interval between the two comings of Christ. Notice it says here also without an image. Jewish worship today is strikingly plain. They were so guilty of making images and idols. You remember when Moses went up into Mount Sinai, and the people appeared to Moses’ brother Aaron, and he made them a golden calf.

They just were drawn to idols, and yet for the past 2000 years they’ve had no images. If you worship at a synagogue or if you visit a synagogue, you’ll find no human images at all. They absolutely will not do that today. Isn’t that amazing how accurate the Bible is? Then it says here without an Ephod. The Ephod is the garment of the priesthood. It tells us that Jewish people would not have any priests. Now they have rabbis. The word rabbi means teacher, but they don’t have priests.

Amazing. How in the world could the Bible so accurately tell this except that God is the author? And God here tells us plainly that they would be without a king, they would be without a prince and heir to the throne, they would be without a sacrifice, they would be without images, and then notice it says they would be without their priesthood. The Jewish people, if you go to a synagogue, ask for the priest, they’ll shake their head and ask you what in the world are you talking about?

They have rabbis, but there are no priests right now. Amazing. And I’m just thrilled with all this. Next it says without tear of him. Those are little household gods and the Jewish people don’t even have that or practice that anymore. But look at verse 5, afterward, afterward, afterward. I think we’re living right now at the end of this 2000 year interval and afterward, children of Israel, and children return and they have gone back to their land in unbelief, but they will return and shortly after the rapture many, many Jewish people worldwide will trust Jesus as their Messiah.

If you look at the verse 5 it shows, they will fear the Lord and His goodness in the latter days. Later days, so the latter days are defined in the Bible as the days when the Jewish people would return back to their land after having been without a king, without a prince, without a sacrifice, without images or idols, without their priesthood, without household gods, that after this two thousand year interval they would return and that is the latter days.

That is when Jesus Christ would return. We are living in those days. Have you done any rapture practice lately? always tease about that, but if you’re a believer, you’re going to go up in the rapture period. But I always like to say, I like to go out in the parking lot and rock back and forth on my toes and heels, kind of loosen up my arms a little bit and flap a little bit. And of course, people think you’re crazy.

I got a chance to speak in a church up in Georgia and on a Wednesday night, and And afterward we just having fun in the parking lot with the congregation. A lot of them just wanted to stand out there and talk all night. And I said, this is a good opportunity for us to all do some rapture practice. They got so tickled. I started rocking back and forth and flapping my arms and I told them I was doing rapture practice and I don’t think they’ve ever forgotten it.

We had a great time and I think as Christians we can have fun about all this. I don’t know when the Lord is coming, but I know His coming. He said, I hope that you’re ready. If you are a believer, you are. Every believer is going to be raptured. It tells us that plainly in 1 Thessalonians 4, 13 through 18, and it says, if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, then we’re going to be in this event.

And if we’ve died, we’ll come back with Christ and receive our new bodies in the upper atmosphere of the earth. And if we are living, we’ll be caught up bodily to meet the Lord in the air, and our bodies will be transformed into our new resurrection bodies on the way up. It’s exciting. And the Bible says they’re in 1 Thessalonians 4 verse 18, we’re for comfort, one another with these words. Boy, if you are one of those who is in a church where they don’t teach prophecy at all, look at the comfort you are being cheated out of, a lot of the comfort that you and I can experience, especially as we read the headlines today, is to find that God has got everything under control and that He is right on schedule.

And shortly we are going to be delivered from the darkest hours of history as will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. I am ready. And if you are a believer, you are ready. If you are not a believer, you are in trouble. be left behind, and the likelihood of you trusting Christ after the Rapture is minimal, because the Antichrist will have such deception and such control that you probably won’t. So don’t waste another minute. I would trust Christ right now.

Just tell him, Lord, I’m a sinner. I don’t understand much about the Bible, but I believe Jesus died for me, and that he paid my sin debt and full by his death and shed blood. I believe he was buried. I believe he rose again from the dead. I trust him right now to save me. I’m Dr. Englund’s from this is by blind. We’re going to go to the phone lines if you want to call in. The number is 1-800-576-3771.

1-800-576-3771. We’re going to first go ahead and take some of these off-air questions. I’m going to begin with Carl in Tampa, Florida who calls in and says, Paul spoke about women prophesying, but that they needed their head covering on beforehand. Can you comment and give scripture on it? Well, you’re talking about 1 Corinthians chapter 11, and you’ll notice there he was talking about the difference between men and women, that men were to have short hair and that it was a glory for women to have long hair.

And it says in verse 15, if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her for her hair is given her for a covering. But on the other hand, the man in verse 14, it says, does not even nature itself teach you that if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him. So the Bible here teaches men how to have short hair. You know in the time of Jesus that was the hairstyle for the whole world.

Rome was in charge of the world. And if you’ve ever seen the statues of the Roman Caesars they really were the trend setters. Everybody wanted to dress and looked like the Caesar. And Caesars haircut was what? Off the neck, off the ears, short. It was combed forward generally and short bangs right in the front and that was the hairstyle of the time. People didn’t wear long hair. This long hair thing, according to the Bible, has been a shame unto men when they wear long hair.

Even when Israel was out of fellowship with God and in rebellion against the Lord, God tells them through the Prophet Jeremiah to cut off their hair. That’s right. God says, cut off your hair because they were rebellious. And that was a sign of their rebellion. So God tells Israel, cut your hair off. It’s kind of funny in a way, isn’t it? But that’s certainly something you see throughout the Bible. And we find that they did cut their hair and they did shave and a lot of the things that we still do today.

Well the head covering, notice in verse 16, if you were to put something on your head to cover your head, it says in verse 16, if any man seemed to be contentious, we have no such custom neither the Church of God. So this was apparently optional, but the principle here is that women are to have their head covered and their long hair is their covering. men ought to have. Let me give you the phone number here by blind. It’s 1-800-576-3771.

All right, give us a call. 1-800-576-3771. We have a caller also from Paul Harbor, also named Carl. This is Carl Day, apparently. And Carl and Paul Harbor, he says, please explain Romans 11-6. 6. Comment on the Salvation of the Jews. In Romans 11, 26, it says that all Israel shall be saved. Now, when it says all Israel shall be saved, you have to define terms here. This is talking about the Second Coming of Christ. And it says, so all Israel shall be saved.

it is written, there shall come out of Zion or Jerusalem the deliver that is Christ and turn away on godliness from Jacob. Now, remember Jacob was the grandson of Abraham and he had his name changed when he wrestled with the angel of the Lord. Now we believe that the angel of the Lord is actually a preincarnate appearance of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament. What happened there is that night Jacob got saved. We had his name, we see it changed at that moment.

And Israel comes from three Hebrew words, ish-rah-el, and it means child of God. So all of a sudden Jacob became a child of God. Just because you are physically descendant from Jacob does not mean that you’ll be saved. You must trust Christ like Jacob did to be saved. And what it says here is that all Israel shall be saved, which means at the end of the tribulation, when Christ comes back, we know He comes back and slays all the unbelievers on the earth.

So, we only have believers left, and those Jewish people that are left will obviously be saved, and so they will be through Israel. They will be children of God or born of God or have the new birth, and they will be the saved that will enter into the millennium. So when you read that verse Romans 11, 26, all Israel refers to all saved. What is that in chapter 9 as well? Just because you are a physical related back to Israel does not mean you are a child of God.

It says that you are a child of the flesh but not a child of God until you trust Christ and then you are counted as God’s seed. We have a lot of callers waiting. Let me go to John in Tennessee and John, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Hey John. Hey, how are you? Good. I got a question. I hear all this about trusting Christ. When you trust Christ, it’s just like when you sit down on a chair, what do you have to do to trust the chair?

You rest your weight upon the chair, you put your confidence in the chair, you are not holding on to anything else when you trust the chair, you just simply sit down in it and rest your weight upon it. To be saved in the same way, you simply put your confidence in Christ. You kind of rest your weight upon Him, as it only means you haven’t getting to heaven. You trust that by His death and shed blood, He purchased your salvation and will give you everlasting life at the moment you trust Him.

And so it’s just like sitting down. Your part is to do nothing but just rest yourself in Him, just trusting that He will indeed save you. Just like when you put your weight on the chair, you just relax and trust that the chair is going to hold you from falling down onto the floor. It’s that simple John. But, well why should I trust Intrais? I mean, what’s the point at all that? I’m not trying to start an argument, I’m just wondering.

Yeah, well if you don’t trust Christ, you go to hell. You know, everybody in the human race is already born condemned. When you come into this world, you have a sin nature inherited from Adam and you’re headed for hell. The only way you can go to heaven is to accept the rescue that God has provided. He has provided a savior. Let’s say you were on a ship and the ship was going down and a rescue boat came along. And you’re going to drown except that you receive help.

And so the rescue ship comes aboard or comes alongside and they say here let me throw you this life raft or let me throw you this line. And you say no I’m going to try to do it on my own. And so they motor off into the air. you drown. Well, it’s really then your fault. The Bible says that if you go to hell, it’s because you reject God’s provision of a Savior. You must trust Christ to be saved.

Hi. Well, thank you very much. Is it too much for me to ask one more question? Now, go for it quick. We don’t have much time. We’re coming on break. Okay. I was wondering. I am very definitely, I believe, in the Bible has seven dispensations, And it certainly makes good sense that there are times that begin and end and the Bible names three in the book of Ephesians. It names the dispensation of the fullness of times which is the millennium.

It mentions the dispensation of grace which is the age which we’re living in now. And of course the previous age was the dispensation of law that began at Mount Sinai. We’ve got to run. We’re going to take a break and we’ll come right back and do the second half of Bible So keep your rated dial tuned right where it is and we’ll be right back. Thanks John and Tennessee for calling in. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment.

Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well I’m Dr. Angelina Stearman. It’s really wonderful to be able to be with you every day and I want to thank you for tuning in for listening, for praying for Bibleline. We have so many wonderful notes and cards. We have a nice note here, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Thank you so much for your teaching on God’s Word. My husband and I listen every day. Thank you for your clear preaching of the gospel, love, lance, and Nancy.

Well, we get many of these notes, and what an encouragement it is to keep going, to keep at it, because we know there are people listening and learning and growing. And the miracle of this whole thing is that we don’t have the money to do what we’re doing. We totally depend upon our listeners. And this is summer time, which is a lean time for Christian giving period. Most churches and most all Christian organizations experience a shortfall during the summer.

And so if you could help us here in this month of August, it would be great. You can give a gift by credit card over the phone. You can also call and ask for us to send you an envelope with our address printed on it, and then just mail your gift to the Bibleline. But your gifts are the means by which we are able to keep this program going. It’s a miracle. I really am amazed that we’re still on the air.

I thought long ago, can we still maintain this and we keep trying to expand out as far as we can go with the money the Lord puts in our trust. We try to be wise stewards and we are reaching out all over the world. We are really excited. We are on radio down in Honduras, in the island of Rotan. 80,000 people live on the island of Rotan where the radio tower is and we reach many the principal cities of Honduras, the Guzigalpa, the capital, and numerous other cities are able to hear our programs in Central America.

We’re on the internet all over the world. 149 countries have logged in. We’re so excited about what God is doing in getting this message out to the world. I hope that you would call in and give a gift to Bibleline, and if you can’t, we still love you, and we hope that you’ll pray for us. If you would commit to pray. We know that God would answer prayer and He would take care of our needs. So, keep us in your prayers and if you can send a gift, send it by mail or call in and give it by credit card over the phone.

I’m Dr. Inks instrument and we’re going to return now to stations that have been on break and do the second half hour of Bible end. So, Please don’t go away. Keep your radio tuned right where it is and we’re now going to do the second half hour of the Bibleline program. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back from that break and this is Bible and and it’s so good to be able to with you be with you We get some wonderful notes of encouragement from our listeners.

We had one here From a couple that wrote in and said dear pastor Hank Thank you so much for your teaching on God’s word my husband and I listen every day Thank you for your clear preaching of the gospel love of Lance and Nancy down in Inglewood, Florida. Thank you for calling in. We have so many words of encouragement like that that keep us motivated to keep going on. That’s exciting. We sure thank you for being a lister and we hope that you’ll be one who prays for us.

We certainly covet your prayers. We always have something happening that we know that the devil’s after us, If you notice Monday we played a repeat, but because that was because a squirrel actually gnawed through our internet, not our internet, but our ISD in lines that get us up on the satellite. So you never know what’s going to happen, but praise the Lord for how He takes care of us. And by the way, if you could help us financially, the summer months are traditionally a low time for churches and all Christian industries, we’re no exception.

And if you could help Bibleline at this time, it is going to be greatly appreciated. You can do it by credit card over the phone. You can do it by mail. All you have to do is call and ask us for an envelope to be sent with our address on it, and we’ll mail that out and you can mail a gift into Bibleline. And we thank you in advance. God bless you. the heroes that keep us going and we appreciate you so much.

We’re going to go to the phone lines. We have Roger in Mobile, Alabama, and Roger, welcome to Bible on Your On The Air. Yes, I have a question this time. This time I heard a preacher yesterday preaching that the church, the Gentiles were the ones that are going up in the rapture. And it was difficult for me to get my arms around that because they were, he went down into paradise and preached to him as well. I just can’t see God leaving now, Mom, and heaven behind with our bodies and just fracturing our Gentile believers.

Could you address that for me? You know the… The rapture includes all believers, Jews and Gentiles alike. The body of Christ is comprised of Jews and Gentiles that have been placed into the body of Christ by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Every believer has received the baptism. Forget the tongues things. His ceased, and even when tongues were still operating, when it was a real genuine language gift to evangelize the lost, even then every believer was baptized into the body of Christ.

Look if you will, at 1 Corinthians 12, 13, where it says, by one spirit, are we all baptized into one body? whether we be Jews or Gentiles. So notice Jews and Gentiles both were placed into the body of Christ by the operation called the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And sometimes I know there are those who claim that this is some special second blessing. That’s nonsense. I’ve had them come to me and say, in condense-sending terms, have you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit brother.

And as of course I have, and they look at me kind of surprised. They like to make you think they have something special that nobody else has. Every believer. Notice the verse again. First Corinthians 12, 13, 4 by 1 Spirit are we all. Every believer is placed into the body of Christ by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And the result is in verse 27, now you are the body of Christ and members in particular. the Holy Spirit places you into Christ’s body and it’s the body of Christ that’s caught up at the rapture and it’s comprised of Jews and Gentiles.

So whoever you’re listening to there is got it all backwards and I hope that helps a little bit Roger. No, Abraham is not going to be in the Rapture. Abraham and the Old Testament saints get their resurrection bodies seven years later at the Second Coming. The only ones getting their resurrection bodies at the Rapture are those that are saved from Pentecost tell the Rapture. The church never existed in the Old Testament and the baptism of the Holy Spirit which places us into the body of Christ didn’t happen before Pentecost.

and that is because this is a unique and special age and it did not occur at all in the Old Testament. So you can just forget about that. But we’re going to get our bodies, Roger, seven years ahead of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the Old Testament saints. So hope that helps and thank you for your call. We appreciate that very much. Alright, well we’re going to go to our next caller here and we have Bob in Sarasota, Florida.

Bob, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, I’d like to have you a thoughts on why God chose a virgin bringing Jesus into the world versus the way Adam was created. Well the answer is I think because he promised, of course Genesis 3.15, that he would defeat Satan by the seed of the woman. I think it’s implied in reference to the virgin birth that a woman would have seed without a man. But also I believe it’s because of the curse that was upon Adam that is passed on through the man.

So if you have a human father, you are born with a sin nature. But because God was the father of this child, the sin nature was not passed on. And so we have Jesus as a sinless man. And I think the virgin birth was the root of the means by which we were able to get a sinless man who could then become our substitute and become our savior by dying in our place. If Joseph were the father of Jesus, he would have had a sinful nature.

He would have had to die to pay for his own sins and could not have died for years of mine. So I think the real point there is that Christ was sinless and he was sinless because he did not have a human father. And the Bible tells us that because God is the one who brought about the conception in Luke chapter 1 that that child that would be born of Mary would be called Holy. And so it was a holy child because God was a father and the sin nature of Adam was not passed on because Joseph was not the father.

That is a very logical answer and I certainly have thought that that was what I believed all along until I actually started asking the question that when Adam was born, he was born and created in the image of God. And therefore, in my opinion, that represents within itself a sinless nature. So the sin nature didn’t occur until the aid of the truth. And therefore, my confusion. Well, I understand what you’re saying, but again, the Savior had to become one of us.

So if Jesus was created outside of that lineage of Adam, then he would not have been one of us. So in order to be a Savior, he had to be first a man, a member of the human race, the genealogy of Luke chapter 3 traces on Jesus’ human side through Mary all the way back to Adam. And so he was a member of the human race. He had to be sinless and of course he had to be slain in order to pay for our sins.

He had to pay the penalty for sin which is death. So I believe that’s the answer. And so if he just created a human being from the dirt again, it would not have qualified. That would have been a whole nother race. We are humans all condemned because of Adam’s sin passed upon us and Christ had to become one of us. Well, I appreciate that. you’re very welcome bob and that’s a good question and uh… to tell you do some do deep thinking there we now have shown enrichment virginia and shan welcome to bible on your own here All right, I’m turning there right now.

Proverbs 26, 4, and 5. And it says here, answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be likened to him. Then it says answer a fool according to his folly lest he be wise in his own conceit. So it’s basically saying here, you don’t want to do the same thing that he had done. in his folly. But we are to answer the fool, but we’re to do it in the correct way. And that’s really what it’s saying.

Good question, Sean. Thank you so much for calling in today. We know have Adam in Tampa, Florida, and Adam, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yeah, I think my question comes from he and Hebrews, chapter 10 in verse 26 through something like around 31. It’s talking about the wavering being warned. Are these people believers that are actually saved? Hebrews chapter 10, yes. there, there, believers, the writer of Hebrews in verse 26, the medicine clique. includes himself in that we and he is obviously a believer himself and he is including himself in that.

He is saying here that even though you might sin willfully as a believer, you still don’t need another sacrifice Christ has saved you forever. But it does talk about how the Lord will chase in you and how it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God and that you can suffer the loss of reward but not the loss of salvation. The last verse in the chapter is a great security verse that says, we are not of them who draw back into perdition or hell but of them that believe to the saving or the deliverance of the soul.

Once you get saved, you’re saved forever. You’re stuck. But you will face consequences if you willfully sin as a believer. God says he’ll spank you and it’s a fearful thing to fall in the hands of the living God. The Universe 30 says, the Lord shall judge his people. Once you become born again, once you become a child God, God deals with you as a father would with his son and he disciplines the link with believers. but you’ll never go to help.

Okay, I’ll have that answer to thank you. Good, well thank you Adam, and that was Adam calling in from Tampa, Florida. We have Pat, and she’s calling in from Auburn, Dale, Florida, and Pat, welcome to Bible Eye. Yes, sir. You’re on there. Okay, I’m sorry. I have a couple of questions about some Bibles that I have here at the house. One of them is called the Regency by Thomas Nelson Publishing. Is that not a good Bible? Well, is it the King James Version?

I would say it’s probably okay. It must have some notes or things in there that are helpful. It does. Yeah. I’m quite sure you heard of that. It was on TV quite a bit. I’m afraid I didn’t pay attention when it was advertised. Okay. That was quite a few years ago. And the third one is the Daily Bible, which is an NID version by And was it what version is it in what? The daily Bible reading 365 days is in the new international version.

Yeah new international is bad I wouldn’t In the bad okay, and a lady recently gave me a book and I think I’ve heard you recommend that book No, I would not read Rick Warren either Rick Warren is I’m afraid confused on his salvation. I believe he has a works based salvation. I have his video series where he basically instructs you in the purpose of life. And in the third I think video he says that what you do here on earth determines where you spend eternity.

So it’s basically about works and it’s about continuing. If you don’t continue then you don’t get saved. And according to the Bible salvation happens at an instant. Not based upon anything you’ll do in your future based upon what Christ did in the past for you. So my salvation is not based upon what I’m going to do or not going to do is based upon what Christ already did for me at the cross. So Rick, what was off my next question is what do I do with these finals?

I feel disrespectful if I just chunk them into garbage. Well, I think you can keep them as reference. You know in our church library here, we have thousands of volumes in our church library. And so. We have labeled books here as heresy, and we also have a stamp in many of them that say the views expressed in this book are not necessarily the views that we hold here at this church to warn people. But we do like to keep them there for reference because sometimes people know I’d like to go ahead and look up what it says in that Bible.

And so we have about every kind that there’s a man’s will on our shelves but we we mark them that to be careful okay and my last question is i know how you feel about speaking in time to the southern baptism probably about several years ago i was out of them female cousin and she wasn’t preaching she was just doing a bible study about on time dot how god doesn’t do things in our time but when it’s his time and there were several people there who did speak in time but they didn’t do it as a preaching They didn’t look at me or anybody else.

It was like a one-on-one with God. Is that wrong? Yeah, it is wrong. They try to make out that this is a secret prayer language. I really don’t even understand that concept at all because God understands English. Why do you need some kind of a secret prayer language to be able to communicate with God? What they’re doing is that they’re looking for an answer to the gibberish they’re doing and make it sound scriptural. But it’s really not. Let me give you a verse that fits with what they are doing.

It’s in Romans 8, and in Romans 8, this is often cited for this so-called prayer language that it’s the Holy Spirit praying. Verse 26 of Romans 8 says, likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit should read himself, makeeth intercession, session for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. So they usually say these groanings of this gibberish is the Holy Spirit speaking. But what they all ignore is the last phrase which says which cannot be uttered.

If they’re making an audible sound, that’s not the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit prays on your behalf or mine, it’s not audible. not heard by anybody. So they have just tried to twist that verse to make it fit and try to say that the Holy Spirit is praying. And I’ve been around these people and they’ll grow and they’ll make all these strange sounds and they’re trying to tell me it’s the Holy Spirit. I said the first time something audible comes out of your mouth, you can know it’s not the Holy Spirit because when he prays it’s not audible.

Well that’s the first time I’ve heard it since I was about eight or nine years old and I was a little taken back to start with and then I thought well maybe it’s not for my benefit but I understand what you’re saying and I will reread the grommet again and see what they say. It reminds me of my childhood when we’d have the cereal boxes and we’d have those little secret decoder rings. Everybody wanted to get one and you could communicate with your rings in the secret language.

I was exciting. As a little boy that was every kid in the neighborhood wanted to have one of the secret decoder rings. And that’s what these Charismatics are doing. And it’s like they get a secret language going on there. There’s no secret language at all. God, you know, every time the Lord communicates with somebody, it’s in the language that they hear and speak, and even when angels, you know, they try to say that they are speaking with an angelic tongue.

And that means eloquence of anything. Angels probably speak with perfect diction and it’s perfect grammar and everything else. And whenever you see an angel appear in the Bible, they always speak in the language of the hearer and the person understands them absolutely without a problem. You know, when the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, he didn’t say, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. And Mary said, my God, what is he saying? Mary understood exactly. He said, Mary, don’t fear, you’re highly favored.

and you’re going to conceive and bear a son and call his name Jesus. And they had a conversation. How can that be? Seeing unknown on a man and the angel told how the Holy Spirit would bring about that conception. There is no so-called gibberish that can be spoken of as an angelic tongue. So hopefully that helps you. Yes, sir. It does very, very much. And I appreciate you. I’ve been listening to you about six months now and I have learned so much.

I have a memory problem and I do remember things that you’ve said and you helped me to explain things to my your granddaughter last month. Well, God bless you, Pat. Thank you. Keep listening. Yes, sir. I will. All right. That was Pat Auburnville, Florida and we’re now going to go to and and one in Tampa, Florida and then I’ll go to the and one welcome to my one year on the air. Good morning, Vashrant. Actually this morning when you answered that question concerning the the world testament center the body in the grid Do it.

but I would like to draw your attention to to Matthew 27. I know you preach that in 1 Peter chapter 3 Jesus Christ went to those that who died before Christ to preach to them. but in Matthew 27 he shows you that a couple of things are going on there and Peter talks about the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead preached before to those that were disobedient in the days of Noah. And he’s talking about the Holy Spirit spoke through Noah and he preached faithfully for 120 years giving the gospel to those people who never did believe And they all wound up in Hades and they’ll eventually be cast into hell So they’re lost and he didn’t preach to them while they were in Hades He preached to them before the flood it and if you read carefully says while God waited

For Noah to finish the ark. That’s when they got preached to the Holy Spirit spoke to them through Noah and it’s the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead But as far as the believers of the Old Testament, they are still awaiting their resurrection bodies And it’s spoken of in the gospels as the last day The last day is really a reference to the end of the Old Testament age Which still has seven years to tick off the clock.

So when the church age ends, which has been slipped in Then to the Old Testament age, you’ll find that there are seven years left hanging out there that still have to be fulfilled, which are the 70th week of Daniel the last seven years of the prophecy of Daniel chapter 9. And we find that we’re going to get our resurrection bodies at the rapture. Then those at the second coming when Christ comes back, that’s called the first resurrection. If you read Revelation 20 verses 1 through 6, it talks about how those when Christ comes back at the Second Coming, which of the Old Testament saints and tribulation saints will be resurrected as called the First Resurrection.

Then it says in verse 5 of Revelation 20, the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. So hopefully… Isn’t that up to the millennium? But in Matthew 27.52, it shows you bodily that you were directed and they waited after three days. Well, that’s true. Now, that was a sample. And I talked about that the other day that Christ, when he rose, gave some of the Old Testament saints, their resurrection bodies. And that was the fulfillment of the Feast of First Fruits.

rose on the feast of first fruits, and he is the fulfillment of that type. In the Old Testament, it was a harvest feast. They would go out on the fields and grab handfuls of grain, bring it before the priest and wave it before the priest as a sampling of the harvest that was to come. Christ brought forth a few from the grave in Matthew chapter 27 verse 53, and they went into the streets of Jerusalem and so on. We’re seen by many, but that was a sampling of the resurrection that was to occur and Only a few got the resurrection bodies at that point.

Thank you for your call and I hope that helped a little bit We now have cell. I’m not sure if I’m pronouncing that right in Tampa, Florida. Welcome Welcome to Bibleline. Yes, sir. I just want to ask about who’s this angel’s one, two, two, and, excuse me, after the relation, till seven and you were at nine. There we have Satan and his angels fighting against Michael, the Archangel of God and God’s Angels. And that’s a battle that has not happened yet, that will happen three and a half years after the rapture in the middle of the tribulation.

And we find that Satan at that point loses control over the atmosphere around the earth. And he’s cast down onto the earth and he’s furious. Then he goes after Israel and Israel will be severely persecuted during the second three and a half years of the tribulation period. So that’s something still future and the angels there are the fallen angels of Satan, a third of the angels and then the other two thirds are God’s angels under the control of Michael, the Archangel of God.

We’re hearing wonderful things from people all over the place that are hearing and learning and some tell me that one man said I learned more in 30 days than I have in 30 years in my church. That’s a sad commentary on the churches today if you have to take 30 years to learn what we give out in one month. But we also try to give a lot of scripture out and give straight answers. And they’re not always the most popular answer, but they are, we believe what the Bible really says.

And I believe a lot of people appreciate getting the truth in a straight answer and not trying to Paddy Cake everybody that calls in. And I hope that you’re enjoying Bibleline. You can get these programs on CD. You can listen to them over and over again on the Internet if you go to my website, Bibleline Ministries.orgio.com. You can watch our television programs. We always have fun and there’s usually a lot more people wanting to get on the air than we can get on the air, we do our best to try to get as many of the questions answered as we can, but we’ll try again tomorrow, and I hope you’ll join me. Till then, keep looking up, and we know that Jesus is coming, and I personally believe very, very soon. Stay tuned to Bible and throughout the week. God mustn’t have a great day.
