Welcome to Bibleline with Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Coming to you from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida declaring God’s love through radio and television, providing real answers to an ever-searching world. Got a question? Dial toll free at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here’s the host of Bibleline, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Good morning and welcome to Bibleline great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day and we welcome you to the program.

Thank you for tuning in and we’re coming to you live from our studios right here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor. We love to meet you. We’d love to have you come by our resource centers open every day till about 4.30 in the afternoon and we would love to have you come and drop in and take a look and would like to get a chance to meet you. If you’re in another city and you can’t get down here to visit us in Florida, then go to the internet.

There you can click on the online bookstore and you can see all the resources we have in order directly off of the online bookstore on our website. The website by the way is BibleLineMinistries.org. And we We hope that you’ll take a look at the online bookstore, but also we have our radio program streaming right now, and you can hear it again later. Also, you can download these programs in the MP3 format for your little player icon. And also, we have the webcasting where you can set it up so that these will automatically drop down to your computer and you can load them into your iPod later on.

By the way, also this coming Sunday, we’re going to do a special webinar which is a seminar on the web. That’s right, Sunday morning. We believe we’re getting close to the rapture. The potential date is the Feast of Trumpets and that will be next week and just prior to next week, September 12th. We’re going to do on September 9th, Sunday morning, a special webinar on the Rapture. And it’ll be interactive where you can ask questions and you’ll actually get to see me answering questions about this topic on Sunday morning at nine o’clock Eastern Standard Time.

So if you’re able to be at your computer, Sunday morning between nine and 10, You’ll be able to submit questions, hear them asked, and you’ll see me answer them from the Bible on Sunday morning. This is the first time we’ve done this in this way. We’ve done something similar when we were in Israel with our radio program taking live questions right there from Israel and broadcasting them back to the States. But we are going to do this with the web this Sunday morning.

So it’s the latest technology, the latest terminology, and this is a webinar. It’s a seminar on the web. That will be this Sunday morning. We’re going to then loop it and play it a second hour from 10 to 11. Then at 11 o’clock you’ll be able to catch my worship service on the internet. Where you go is to my website and click on the camera camera. And at nine o’clock the audio and video will come up and you’ll be able to watch this webinar and you’ll be able to actually submit your questions and we’ll answer them and you’ll watch me answer the question you submit.

So it ought to be exciting. We’re hoping that it will be a new development that we can do more often. We may not do it on Sunday mornings, but we will be offering some special classes like that interactive and we’ll figure out what is best. Maybe a Saturday evening. I don’t know. We’ll check that out. In any case, this is by the line. I’m not going to include this for me. And it’s great to be with you. Tonight is, today is Tuesday.

Tonight we’ll have the Gospel of John class again. If you’re in the local area, you’re welcome to come by and sit in is my guest as we’ll do class 15 and 16. And we may have to go one more week and do class 17 and 18 to finish up this wonderful book, The Gospel of John. It’ll be the longest series that I’ve done. We’ve usually tried to condense them down to about 10 hours or 12. But the gospel is John is so rich.

We don’t want to really be handicapped by time. So when you order this, it’ll probably be orderable in two parts, John Part 1, maybe nine or 10 hours. in John Part 2, 9 or 10 hours, and in that way you can get it in parts. We have in our resource center, by the way, the Zondervin’s Pictorial Bible Dictionary. This is a gem. It’s only for a gift of $25 plus shipping, but what I love is pictures. So when you talk about a Bible dictionary, I think this one is one of my favorites because it’s just a little bit of pictures.

Zunderen’s pictorial Bible dictionary for a gift of $25 today. If you want to get that, we’ll ship it out as kind of thick. It’s a nice big heavy thick book and you’ll enjoy that in your library. And I think you’ll enjoy the pictures just as I have. And hopefully you had a nice holiday yesterday. And we hope that you’re going to have a great week and join us here every day on Bibleline. If you want to call in the numbers 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771.

Alright if you have your Bible there get it out and we’ll take a look at several verses. I want to go to Matthew chapter 11 and we’re going to do a little lesson here on lightly dividing the word of truth. In verse 28 we find that Jesus says, come unto me. If you are marking your Bible, underscore that phrase, that is a phrase typical throughout the New Testament of salvation. It is actually in the Old Testament as well. All you need to be saved is to simply come to Christ.

He has done all the work of salvation. He finished it at the cross and paid your sin, debt and mind in full and all we have to do is come. Look at what it says, come unto me, me being the Lord Jesus Christ, he is God who came to the earth and took on human flesh. He is the Savior. There is no other way to heaven. No other way you could possibly interheaven except through Christ. So we come to Christ to be saved.

Come unto me and then notice the invitation is to everyone, all ye that labor and are are heavy laden. So everyone in the human race is invited to come and be saved. That’s what John 3 16 says, isn’t it? The same truth for God’s soul of the world. That’s everyone in the human race. That whosoever that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever anyone all who would come and believe or trust on Christ as their Savior would be saved.

They would be given the gift of eternal life. Then let’s back up here again to verse 28 of Matthew chapter 11. Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will want. Give, give you rest. Salvation is a gift. Without exception the Bible presents salvation as a gift. It’s not earned, it’s not deserved, it cannot be bought. He has been purchased by Christ, His death, barrel and resurrection. And when you trust that He died for you and shed His blood to pay for your sins, God saves you.

So to be saved, all we need to do is simply come to Christ. We don’t work, we don’t join, we don’t climb, we don’t pay, we don’t promise. This is all based upon what Christ has already done. He simply comes and says, and I will give. I will give. Salvation, you know, without a doubt, every place you look in the Bible is spoken of as a gift. Old Testament and New Testament alike, salvation is given free. It’s given through trusting Christ as Savior.

What if you were to draw a line between verse 28 and 29, verse 28 is talking about salvation. Verse 29 and 30 are talking about the Christian life. This is what we call rightly dividing the word of truth. In 2 Timothy 2.15 it says study to show thyself approved in the God. As a workman, that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly divided in the word of truth. The ashamedness there comes when you stand before the Lord at the judgment seat of Christ where God will one day evaluate our lives, our works to determine the degree of reward or loss of reward will be have when we enter heaven.

We want to be approved workmen. We want to be approved saved persons. Now, we’re already approved for salvation. That was done at the cross. Jesus Christ fully paid your sin debt. So when you trust Christ, you become saved and saved eternally. But based upon our works, and we need to study the Bible so we learn what works are going to be pleasing to God and what works will earn rewards in heaven and begin to do those works and will be workmen that will not need to be ashamed.

Notice it says in the last phrase, lightly dividing the word of truth, being able to separate the word. Here we are separating. Verse 28 is talking about salvation, 29 and 30 of Matthew 11 is talking about the Christian life. What is verse 29? Jesus says, take my yoke upon you. Why OKE? What is the yoke? Well, we don’t see too much farming anymore. We’re all city folks pretty much in this world. But the yoke was that instrument that was placed over the neck of the animal that the ropes were attached to that went back to the plow and to the one who would then guide the animal to go straight ahead and plow up the ground and prepare it for planting and for harvest.

Well, the yolk many times was a double yolk. You see this a lot in the Middle East. I know in Egypt you see a lot of this. You’ll see two animals with one yolk and their heads are both in the yolk and the ropes go back to the pollen, there’s a man back there that is handling the rains and will guide the direction that they go. And of course sometimes they’re unequally yoked. It’s interesting that the Bible uses that phrase, but sometimes you see two different animals there in the yoke and one is clearly much stronger than the other and they don’t have the same pulling power.

But in any case, the yoke talks about labor, and Jesus says in verse 29, take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am eek and lowly in your heart, and you shall find rest under your souls. Verse 30, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light, here Christ is talking about Christian service, talking about living for Christ as a believer, talking about being a disciple. ounter a believer and not be a disciple, you can be a disciple and not be a believer.

All believers go to heaven. All”; are not disciples. But not allShipping go to heaven because unless you are a believer, you will not go to heaven. I hope I haven’t confused you. But you have to think about Judas who was an apostle, he was a disciple. But Judas, the one that betrayed Christ, was never a believer and therefore Judas went to hell because he never trusted Christ as his Savior. Isn’t that amazing? That was so shocking to me. In John 6, verse 64, Jesus tells us that he knew from the beginning who they were that believed not and who should betray him and identifies Judas as the betrayer.

Well Judas being a disciple was never a believer and that’s why Judas went to hell. A lot of people think he went to hell because he committed suicide. Not true. Some think he went to hell because he betrayed Christ. Not true. He went to hell because he never believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus tells us he the believer upon me has everlasting life. 647. Act 1631 says, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and Thou shalt be saved. Wow.

So, in any case, Eternal Life is a gift. It’s been purchased by Christ, but the discipleship is going to cost the price. That is verse 28 again in Matthew 11. Coming to me, that’s all we have to do to be saved, and I will give you rest. 10 verse 29 and 30 talk about taking the yoke upon you, beginning to serve the Lord. And when you do that, you’ll be rewarded for your faithful service. That is discipleship. That’s what the Christian life is all about after you become saved.

For me, I got saved at 18, but it wasn’t until a year later that I decided to serve the Lord. I dedicated my life all by myself in my dorm room at the University of Florida. As I went through five years, actually four and a half years, I did a five-year program in four and a half, I graduated in electrical engineering from the University of Florida. It was there as I entered my sophomore year. I dedicated my life to Christ.

That was the second best decision I ever made in my life. My first best decision was the Trust Christ. And I received the gift of eternal life. I came to Christ and trusted Him in His finished work. And He gave me eternal life. Then a year later, I decided I would take His yoke upon me and begin the servant. What is interesting here is that most people have the impression that the Christian life is going to be really rough or tough.

Notice what Jesus says. My yoke is easy and my burden is light. How many times do you hear Christians complain, oh, the Christian life is so hard and this and that and the other? They’re not reading the Bible. Actually, the hard life is to live for self or for Satan. The easy life is to live for Christ because he carries, I think, a great deal of a load in the burden. You know, when you have a double yoke that is talking about the yoke here and farming, there’s two animals and sometimes they’re not always equal in strength.

And in this case, I think Christ has his neck in the other yoke and I think he does most of the pulling. I think he does most of the work. And as we put ourselves to the task, Christ is there laboring with us. And He is our, as the Bible says, we’re co-laborers together with Christ. And so He’s doing a lot of the pulling in. So the yoke is what? It’s easy. And my burden is light because Christ carries the bulk of the weight of serving Him.

And as believers, that’s where the joy comes in. That’s where the rewards come in. where you are going to find joy and peace and happiness and long suffering and gentleness and all these things which are called the food of the Spirit. I hope you have understood the difference. You simply come to Christ and receive eternal life as a gift. Then when you choose to serve the Lord, that is going to cost you and you will have to put yourself to the task of serving and God will bless you and reward you for your faithful service.

But salvation is a gift. I’m Dr. Eng’s instrument, this is ByBlind, and it’s great to be with you this morning. We look forward to being with you every day. It’s Tuesday. We have classes tonight and welcome to come out and sit in those classes. We have phone lines all lit up. I think all of our lines are busy, busy, busy, but we’re going to go right to the lines and we’re going to go first here to a woman who is anonymous, doesn’t want to tell us what city or what her name is because she doesn’t want people to know who she is.

and we understand that that’s fine. So, Mrs. Anonymous, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hello. Hi there. You’re on the air. Yeah. I’m still holding. Well, you’re not holding anymore. I’m you’re on the air with Dr. Lewis from right now. We have a very bad connection. I’m sorry. Can you hear me now? Do you think that? What is your question? My question is. What is your question? From the body present with the Lord. Yes. Okay. The spirit goes to the Lord.

The spirit doesn’t have a glorified body. When Jesus comes down with the rapture, he’s going to take the dead in Christ’s first right? When he comes to the rapture. Or that is somebody else over the other. He’s going to catch us up bodily and he’s going to transform our old body into our new body on the way up.

This is my question. I want to ask him. I cannot find any scripture that says that, but I really believe in this man that is preaching the truth and I like the way he is preaching. I want to turn my radio off because I think that I am pretty soon he is going to put me on, right? You are on right now. You are on right now. You are on the air. you’re on the radio you’re on the radio right now but don’t listen to the radio because it’s twenty seconds behind that turn your radio off or the yeah that you are near uh…

okay well let me just answer your question while you get your radio turned down the answer is when you die your apps from the body present with the lord and you’re absolutely right that you will not get your new body until christ returns So your soul and spirit in heaven with forward, but very definitely you are conscious, you are alert, you’re aware of your circumstances, you have conscious memory and you will recognize others. Luke 16 is the passage I would recommend that you go to.

There Jesus pulls back the curtain on the unseen world and there we find two men who die. a rich man who is unsaved who finds himself in Hades in Flamin-Thormann. He is alive, he is in pain, he has memory, he is conscious, he is committed and he does not like where he is at. And there is a conversation going on between him and Abraham. Now Lazarus a beggar also dies and he recognizes Lazarus and he sees Lazarus in paradise which was across an impassable gulf.

Luke 16, you have to read this for yourself, beginning at verse 19 to the end of the chapter. And Lazarus was in a place of comfort, paradise. And this was true right up until Christ died when Jesus also went down into the heart of the earth, into paradise, and he emptied the place out. Now these believers that were in paradise, Abraham and Lazarus and all the other Old Testament saints are in heaven with the Lord. But again, they’re still waiting for their resurrection body.

So that is still yet to come. But there is obviously recognition of one another, as you see in that wonderful chapter in Luke 16. Luke 16? Yes. Yes. Can I add this? Now my mother is going to be with the Lord. She was a believer. She trusted in the Lord. my father and my brother and my sister. Do they recognize each other in heaven? Yes, ma’am, they do. They do? Yes. And they are in perfect peace and they recognize each other, but they just cannot talk to each other.

Well, I think they can talk as well, but they just don’t have a physical body. I think there is communication that occurs not necessarily audibly as we use our larynx learnings and our lungs and project air across our vocal cords. But I think they do communicate. So they recognize each other in heaven. That’s right. So when I go there, if the Christ doesn’t come when I’m alive and I die and I go there, my Spirit goes to the Lord and I will recognize them too.

You absolutely will. And there isn’t anywhere I can find that it really describes, I have read many books about heaven. And you know another thing that why do people say that is a man I was watching you know and he said that this world will be going on and on and on and on. Well no after thousand years of rain it’s going to be the white throne of judgment right? Yes right you’ve got it right. And then the new Jerusalem is going to come down no.

Right. Sure. Well, how what’s going to happen to this world? It’s going to be destroyed by fire and then a new heavens and a new earth will be created. And then the new Jerusalem comes down to that new earth. The Jews will come down to that new earth. No, the new Jerusalem. New Jerusalem will come down to that earth. That’s correct. Okay, now my concern is this, I am not serving the Lord.

I will then begin today. Whatever you do for the Lord counts, if you just read your Bible, you’re going to be rewarded for that. I am going to wait for tonight. You’re going to be on the Christian television at seven o’clock. Yes, I will. Yes, I’m going to listen to you. I just found you. Wonderful. But you are too far from me to drive to a temper. I can’t drive there. Well, you’re talking about our broadcast tonight out of West Palm Beach and we’re on every Tuesday night and we’re glad you’re gonna be watching.

Or do you watch? I want to. I want to do this. I don’t want to go empty handed. You know, we’re going to go to be my seat of Christ and we’re going to show what have we done for Him. Did I have a bunch for him? Well, this is a time to go ahead and get started and I would start by reading your Bible You’ll get rewarded for that praying for lost and for others and your family You’ll get rewarded for that by getting together with other believers who are of like mind You’ll get credit for that by giving out the gospel and whatever way you can pointing them to the radio show or the the television program or giving out tracks or however you might witness to somebody, you’ll be rewarded for that and we sure do thank you for calling in.

Keep listening, we have to go to break now so we’re going to end this call, but thank you so much for calling in today, remaining anonymous. I’m Dr. Englund, this is by the line, we’re going to go to break, we have a lot of callers waiting and we took extra time with this dear lady. for her and pray for all believers out there that recognize their need of serving the Lord and it’s never too late to begin doing that.

God bless all of you and thank you for tuning into Bible and today we’re going to do a second half hour in just a couple of minutes so stay tuned right here. Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Alright, I’m Dr. Englinschroom, it’s great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning in the broad- broadcast as we come to you live. It’s Tuesday from our studios here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor.

One of the books we wanted to highlight today is the Zondervan pictorial Bible dictionary. I love it because of all the pictures. It’s quite a thick book and really a bargain price for a gift of $25 to Bibleline plus shipping will send that right out to you. to you and it’s wonderful to have in your library and on your shelf and the pictures make it very attractive otherwise normally we wouldn’t pick up the dictionary and just kind of browse through it but because this one is loaded with pictures you’ll find yourself picking it up and browsing through it and learning because the pictures will draw attention to a particular word or city or doctrine that is being explained.

So that’s the the Zondervin Victoria Bible Dictionary and it’s one of my favorites for a gift of $25 plus shipping. We just finished the month of August, sermons and those are available for a gift of $30 a month. We will ship those sermons to you on CD and you’ll receive them. We’re about ready to ship out the whole month of August. If you’d like to be included and you can set it up so that it’s a regular event every month, all the sermons will automatically start coming to you and you can set it up so that your credit card is billed every month for that for $30 a month.

That includes your shipping and everything. We will send out all the Sunday sermons and we have now finished the month of August and our shipping goes out this week. So call in and ask about that and we’ll be glad to set you up on that. Also of course we have many other offerings in our resource center, things that will help you to witness. We have great tracks. We have the greatest book on evangelism around. It’s called the Handbook of Personal Evangelism.

We have it in Spanish. We have it in English. for a gift of $12 plus shipping, we can send out that wonderful book that will tell you how. It actually tells you basically how to open your mouth, what to say when your mouth is open, how to close your mouth at the appropriate time, and actually leave that person to Christ. Check out what we have in our Resource Center online at BibleLineMinistries.org.com or also call our 800 number and ask for a resource sheet to be sent to you.

And that will give you a listing of everything we have and you can order directly off that sheet. I’m Dr. Englishman. This is Bibleline. We’re going to go back now. the stations that have been on break and do the second half hour so keep your radio real close to you and don’t change that now. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr.

Hank Lindstrom. Alright I’m Dr. Lindstrom. This is Bibleline. We’re back from the break. It’s great to be with you. It’s Tuesday. We’re excited about being with you. And we have those classes on the Gospel of John tonight, from 7 to 9. You’re welcome to come out and sit in those classes as my guest, Free of Charge. We are extending this particular study because the book is so rich, so good. We just didn’t want to rush the last chapters. And so come out and join us.

You’ll have fun. We have a great time during the break. There’s refreshments and people just enjoy fellowshiping with other believers that are excited about the Word of God. You can come tonight. Also, it can be taken over the Internet. You’d have to call and get the passcode to be able to do that. But we’re excited about what’s going to happen this Sunday. It’ll be a first for us. We’re going to do a webinar. You might say what in the world is a webinar?

Well, a webinar is a seminar on the web. So in other words, at 9 o’clock this Sunday morning, we’re going to do a webinar. We’re going to do a seminar on the topic of the Rapture and the reason why we’re doing it this Sunday morning is because we believe whatever year Jesus returns, it’ll be on the Feast of Trumpets. This year it’s September 12th. Well Sunday September 9th is just a few days early before September 12th. If the Lord were to come this year we are going to be talking about that and obviously answering your questions on the internet.

And so this is an interactive webcast where you can actually submit questions and actually watch me answer them on the internet this Sunday morning at 9 o’clock Eastern Standard Time. We hope that you will plan to tune us in. And if you have questions, this will be your opportunity to ask them this Sunday morning at 9 o’clock. So this is the beginning of maybe doing more of these. They may not necessarily take place on Sunday morning as this one does.

But that’ll be this Sunday morning at 9, 9 till 10. We’re going to replay it, loop it, so it’ll play again from 10 to 11. Then at 11 o’clock, you can actually catch my morning worship service live on the internet this Sunday morning at 11. So that will be a nice full morning for you. If you are attending a good church, then of course you will be able to go back and archive and see all of this later. But if you actually want to ask your question and to see it answered live on the internet, it will be between 9 and 10 Eastern Standard Time.

Go to Bibleline Ministries and click on the camera and you will be set up and ready to go. We are excited about a lot of things the Lord is doing. We really do want to go back to Israel in April of next year and we are compiling a list of those that are interested. If you are interested, call our 800 number and leave your name and phone number as a prospect that you might want to visit the land of Israel with us in In the spring of this coming year.

That is of course if the Lord hasn’t come back. If he comes back this September we’re canceling all those plans because we’re going to be with the Lord. Thank you for tuning in today. By the way, we’re on television down in South Florida out of West Palm Beach tonight at… On Channel 13 I believe it is and I think the time is about 8 or 8.30. Thursday night is our television night nationwide at 6.30 on Direct TV Channel 321 and then at 7 all over the West Coast of Florida on the Christian television network.

I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom, this is Bibleline. We’re going to go to the phone callers. Now we have Benjamin in Clearwater and Benjamin, welcome to Bibleline. Good morning, God to Hank. I was talking to you about the second beat, the second beat, the chapter 2, verse 4. When I hang the telephone, you don’t have the time to answer me. Okay. The verse is second. Second, period chapter 2 verse 4. I would say there that God passed down the angel that they same to hell.

Many times the user right now is nobody in heaven. The angel to her, we like to know that. The difference between spirit and soul. All right. Thank you, Benjamin. Second Peter, Chapter 2, Verse 4, says, If God spared not the angels that sinned but cast them down to hell, the key part here, Peter is, or Benjamin rather, is the next part of 2 Peter 2, 4, where it says, delivered them into chains of darkness to be reserved unto judgment.

They are still alive and well here on this planet right now as Howl Enzi titled his book Satan is alive and well. But they are in chains of darkness to be reserved on the judgment. So they are cast down to go to hell, but they are not in hell yet. So they will not be cast into hell until the end of the millennium. After the thousand year reign of Christ, verse 10 of chapter 20 of Revelation tells us they are cast into the lake of fire at that time.

So hopefully you will pick up on that difference. Yes, they are cast down to hell, but they are not in hell yet. They are right now chained to that destiny and will ultimately be cast into hell after the thousand year reign of Christ. Your second question was what is the difference between the soul and the spirit and they are both the non-material part of our makeup, body, soul and spirit. The soul is Benjamin the real you. That is who you are and the soul will never die.

It lasts forever and ever and ever. And when you die, you, the person Benjamin is a believer will go to be with the Lord. But your spirit is the part of your makeup, which is again non-material, that allows you to have communication with God or the spirit world, because certainly we can also, while we’re here in this body, receive communications from the dark side or from the Satan’s side. obviously we are forbidden to do that. But the body, of course on the other hand, allows our soul to receive information from the physical realm.

We have five senses and is constantly our soul being fed information about the physical realm. Once you lose your body, you will not get any data sent to your soul from the physical realm. But your spirit is at the other side of the spectrum here where it feeds information to your soul from the spiritual realm. And obviously a person that is spiritually dead, the word dead always used in the Bible to mean cut off or separated from, can’t receive the things of the Spirit of God.

The Bible says, in 1 Corinthians 2, 14, the natural man, the unsaved man, the man that has not trusted Christ as Savior cannot receive the things of the Spirit. The Bible to Him is foolishness. He cannot understand it because it is spiritually discerned. But once you become saved, then your Spirit becomes alive to the things of God and can begin to receive truth from God. That is what the Bible talks about whenever you read verses like heathen at the that ears to hear, let him hear, because we have spiritual ears, spiritual eyesight, once we trust Christ.

Our spirit becomes alive, no longer separated from God, and allows the flow of information to our soul. But the body allows information to flow from the physical realm, the spirit from the spiritual realm. Hope that helps Benjamin to explain that a little bit for you, and thank you for your call. That was Benjamin and he’s already hung up. We’re now going to go to Mr. Anonymous, somewhere up in Dade City, Florida and Mr. Anonymous, turn your radio down and welcome to Bible Eye.

How you doing, Dr. Hank? Thanks for taking my call. All right. I’m so proud of you. It’s wonderful to hear. I’m so glad that you are. I’m always back in Europe, man. We’re gonna have to go sit down and have coffee some day together it would be fun. Yeah, you got a stop bus and you paying for it too. Alright, I’ll pay for it. Hey listen, you were saying something about saying done, you’ve been teaching on that. That is correct.

And it seems like this class is going to continue right to the rapture and the way it’s going. We were intending to get it done in 10 hours of teaching, But so far we’ve already done 14 hours and we’re going to do class 15 and 16 tonight. Oh that’s good. That’s good. And one thing I know about the gospel is you know I know it’s good for new Christians and stuff to get in. That’s a lot of new Christians.

They like to jump in the revelation and get a negative they hear. It’s been around when they need to first do the homework and just get in the gospel. But John, I’m so excited to see you when you were talking about Do you say come to me all year, like, lay down, lay down, I give you a rest? Yes. Okay, I preached on that maybe two or three weeks ago about the yoke. And I did it again about, don’t be unequally yoke.

So I want to do to listen to that. Hey, that’s up because you get it right over here. You get it right over here. And I come by that gun, I’m the number and I have to tell them I know about it. I like calling you and having a look at the time of challenges. I challenge a lot of people that love the Bible and that makes you big in a little deeper. I don’t mean no harm because I was wise.

My wife challenged me. I just wanted to say that. Bring a tape by or send one to me. I’d like to listen to your message on the yoke. Okay, I’ll try to keep in touch, okay? Okay, that sounds good. Mr. Anonymous, roaming around out there somewhere on the planet Earth. He said, what did I think in the big city, Florida? All right, we are excited about being with you today. It’s Tuesday and I hope you had a good holiday weekend.

And if you are a first-time listener, we want you to know we’re on every day, Monday through Friday. You can pass that word to your friends and let them know as well that Bibleline is available to you 24-7 if you go to the internet to BibleLineMinistries.org.com. By the way, our sermons are also available not only live on Sunday morning when we do them but also in archive throughout the week. So far, I think we have 43 sermons up there in addition to other teachings.

That’s almost the year we’re about ready to have a whole year of Sunday sermons on the internet. It doesn’t seem possible. It seems like just yesterday we started streaming the sermons. And we have found such a large group of people that want to be watching those, that we’re We are just really pleased that God is using the technology to bring the Word of God and our Sunday services by the internet into your homes or wherever you might be. We want to thank you, all of you, that are faithful.

When we go on the air Sunday morning, people are sitting there and logged in ready to watch our service. We’re excited. They’re there in our time. We can go back and watch the past 43 weeks of sermons. As we said this Sunday, we’re going to do what’s called a webinar, which is a seminar on the web. It will be on the topic of the Rapture because we’re so close. If the Lord were to come this year, most likely he would come on September 12th, which is the Feast of Trumpets, which is a prophetic picture of the Rapture.

We believe that because the other feast days that preceded it were fulfilled literally on the day. He was resurrected on the Feast of First Fruits Day, which always occurred on a Sunday. The first day of the feast of Passover was buried during the feast of the 11th bread, which spoke of his sinless body. He was resurrected on the feast of first fruits day, which always occurred on a Sunday. And then this church age began on Pentecost exactly on that day.

And then the next feast, the feast of trumpets, must conclude this age as Pentecost, the first day of the day of the day. and that is September 12th this year and if the Lord were to come this year and I’m not saying he is, I’m looking but if he doesn’t come this year I’ll look next year and so on. But he could come and we’re going to just do this special webinar, a seminar on the web this coming Sunday morning between 9 and 11 and you can actually type your questions in they’ll be given to me I will you’ll be able to watch me answer them live Sunday morning on the internet.

Check it out, a webinar. New word for you, maybe, a webinar. Kind of fun to say, but it’s a seminar on the web. That will be this Sunday morning, the 9th of September at 9 till 10. We’ll loop it and play it in the second hour. And then at 11, you’ll be able to catch the live worship service for this coming Sunday, September 9th, on the web. Well, we’re so glad to be able to be with you. Let’s go ahead and take a few off-air questions.

We have Justina in Albany, New York, and she says, please elaborate on when the trumpet sounds. Will everyone hear the trumpet or just the saints? That’s question number one from Justina. I believe that only the saints will hear it. Nobody else will know what happened except that we’ve disappeared. Nobody will see the Rapture take place. Only those involved in the Rapture will be caught up and only they will hear the trumpet. The rest of the world will just find or discover millions are missing.

Good question. Justine them. Then number two, please explain the role of women in the Bible, such as Deborah, the judge compared to women taking roles in the Church today. There have been times when women have stepped up to the plate because apparently there were no men to take that spot. And she was obviously a good leader back there in the Old Testament. I always think of in comparison, in our modern times was Golda Mayar, who was a Prime Minister of Israel who was a powerful leader, politicians or leaders around the world didn’t want to mess with her.

She was a strong leader for Israel and made very difficult decisions that were really great decisions for the state of Israel when she was in power. But vividly, women are not to be the spiritual leaders men are. And right from the get-go, we find in the Old Testament that God appointed the men to be the spiritual leaders. Abraham was the spiritual leader. Remember when Jacob and Esau were born, Esau was the spiritual leader. He was the first born, but he didn’t value that very much.

And he sold his birthright, and Jacob became the first born in that he had the title of of headship, but it was always the men all the way through. The prophets were all men. And we find in the New Testament Christ chose to himself twelve disciples or apostles. They were all men. He didn’t have half of them being women. And the Bible tells us that there’s a reason for that. In 1 Timothy chapter 2, it tells us that it was first of all because Adam was created first and Eve second.

So this was the order of structure that God began with. That man was first, therefore man had that responsibility and it was nothing to put down or default women in their abilities. Number two though is significant because it says Eve was deceived in the transgression in the garden but Adam was not. So women, apparently, because they oftentimes think emotionally and then think factually, women are more likely to depart from sound doctrine. And you see that in several cults that have begun, Mary Baker Eddy, said that she just couldn’t imagine a God who would send anyone to hell.

So she founded the Christian scientists who deny hell and they deny sickness. And all the things you don’t like, she just said, well, we just say they don’t exist. And as though that would take them away, she was terribly wrong. And she knows the truth today. She died as an unbeliever. And tragically, she knows there is a hell. And she didn’t believe in one while she was alive. Also, LNG White says there is no hell. Another woman who says, oh I can’t imagine a God who would send anyone to hell.

So she rejected that doctrine and had so many other bad doctors because she went by her emotions and feelings not by the word of God and we could go on and on and on. It’s a time today when we have many women stepping up the pulpits. I don’t know of one sound woman Bible teacher. Now maybe there is one, but in any case I think they’re out of order because the Bible says in 1 Corinthians, whether in 1 Timothy chapter 2 in verse 11 and 12 that I suffer not a woman to teach nor do you serve authority over the man but to be in silence.

So they were not to be the spiritual leaders and the reasons are Adam was created first and then Eve was deceived, but Adam was. Hope that helps. Thank you for your question, Justina in Albany, New York, the capital of New York state. We have Ellen in Tampa, Florida. She says in the news, a child murderer says he wants to apologize to the victim in heaven. An athlete that abuses animals found Jesus. Can people who do these things really go to heaven?

And the answer is of course, yes, if they truly trust the Lord, sometimes people are hearing a bad gospel and they are not really hearing the truth that it’s a gift by faith alone. And if they’re attempting to work their way, they will not make it. But yes, on your deathbed, you can be saved. Let’s go back to the example that God gave Himself. Christ was crucified on the cross, two condemned thieves were crucified with him. These were criminals and they had been judged and found guilty and were now being executed for their crimes.

So these were not just anyone. And yet one of them in the last moment of his life believed on Christ and Jesus said today, now shall be with me in paradise. And I don’t think that was by accident. levision i think that was a picture to all of us that uh… a person who is a criminal person who is a convicted criminal one who’s been caught and is found guilty can still come to know christ is saviour and be safe that’s the love of god and the mercy of god and and sometimes we might think is that fair but uh…

god uh… says that it is fair and basically all of us deserve to go to hell But sometimes some people are a little bit self-righteous and say, well, I really don’t deserve to go to hell maybe. But we all deserve to go to hell. We’ve all sinned and with all come short of the glory of God and those that have committed the vilest tribes can indeed be saved. Michelle in St. Petersburg calls in, leads this question off here. When asked, how do you know God is real by unbelievers?

What is an adequate Bible response? Well, for the unbeliever, it’s difficult for them to tune in to any of your personal experiences with the Lord as a reason. They might write that off as coincidence. But I think the best response is to show that the Bible must be the word of God. Nearly one quarter of the Bible is history written before the history takes place. And it comes to pass telling the history of nations, world ruling powers, of individuals, of cities, and it never misses.

It’s a hundred percent accurate. Only God can tell the future. But I believe that that’s how you can demonstrate to them that they need to believe the Bible because it’s never been wrong. And if they die without Christ and don’t go to hell, it’ll be the first time the Bible is wrong. I don’t think they would want to gamble with that. I like Isaiah 48, 4, where God says, because I knew that you were obstinate and brass-headed and iron-naked, that God would tell us the future before it would come to pass so that that when it would come to pass, we would know that this book with his word is a very, very powerful, powerful argument.

In any case, I have some CDs on that type of thing, and we have a great book in our Resource Center here called Evidence of the Man’s of Verdict by Josh McDowell, which is an excellent book. The evidence for the skeptic and I believe that if they’ll read a book like that, they’ll either no longer be a skeptic or they’ll be one who’s in denial because the evidence is there. We’re so glad that you tuned in today and I hope you’ve enjoyed the program.

We’re coming up on the very end of the show today and if you haven’t trusted Christ, that is what’s most important. where you are. You could whisper a prayer and you could say, God, I’m a sinner. I don’t want to understand a whole lot. But I believe I trust that Jesus died for me, was buried and rose again from the dead. The moment you trust Him, God of heaven saves you. And I hope that you would do that. And it’s a gift.

You receive it absolutely free the moment you trust Jesus as your Savior. And we’d like to have you know that we hope that you’ll listen all week long.
