The phone number is 1-800-576-3771, and we already have people waiting online to get on the air, and you’re welcome to get online as well. If you have an offer or question, you can leave those off here and we’ll try to get to those if we possibly can as well. We’re certainly getting close to the Lord’s return. We believe that the possible Rapture date is Wednesday of this week. So I might meet you in the air. I don’t know. I’m not saying the Lord is coming this week because I’m not a date setter.

But it’s fun to watch and it’s exciting to watch for the Lord’s return. There’s a special crown. The Bible mentions in 2 Timothy 4, 8 that’s given to those that are watching for Christ return. Are you looking? Are you watching? a take to earn that crown and if you are one of those who love his appearing and are looking forward to it, the Bible says there’s a crown that you’ll receive called the crown of righteousness. Second Timothy chapter 4 verse 8.

Paul said he was going to get it. He was watching and he’s now in heaven with the Lord but the Apostle Paul was one of those that he said that would received that crown and he said not to him only but to all those that love Christ appearing. So that’s exciting. Let’s watch for the Lord return. And of course tomorrow is 9-11, the anniversary of that terrible tragedy to the Twin Towers in New York. This will be the first time in seven years that it occurs again on a Tuesday, but that will be tomorrow.

And Ben Lodden has reappeared on TV and so some suspect that something terrible will happen tomorrow. We pray not. But truly we are in the last days and Jesus is coming. And we believe He is coming very soon. I hope you are a believer if you are listening. So many people are confused. I hear so many bad presentations. And even though they might even be close, they are confusing to people. I heard a pastor say, there are five things you must do to be same.

Well, there isn’t five things you must do to be same. There is only one thing. must do in order to be saved. That is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and also be saved Acts 1631. That’s it. And the word believe of course means to trust. When you trust that Christ died before he was buried, rose again from dead, God saved you. And there’s only one condition. Now there might be many steps in leading a person to that decision to trust Christ and informing them of the fact that they’re a sinner and that the fact that the wages of sin is death, that they pay for their sin, it would be in hell, that their works can’t save them, and Christ is God who made the payment for them on their behalf at the cross, and so on and so on.

But the bottom line is there’s only one thing a person must do in order to be saved, and that is Acts 1631, believe or trust on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. It’s amazing how preachers, I’m sure if you sat down and talked with them, would know better. I would hope so. I pray so. But they confuse their audience by saying, and I don’t know why they do it, maybe to sound like they know something. I don’t know.

I can’t figure it out. But to hear this pastor say, there are five things you must do, and normally saved is not true. There’s only one thing. And that leaves people confused. Not at least people counting on their fingers. One, two, three, I got three of those. I don’t know about the fourth one. I don’t know about the fifth one. And oh my goodness. And usually they imply works by that. And obviously you can’t be saved based upon your works.

What most people don’t realize is that if you add any works to what Christ did, you have just made void God’s offer of salvation. You and I have no authority to change the offer that God has made. Let’s say you went to a car dealership and you were going to buy a car and they come out with the paperwork and you look at the terms of the sale, the sale price, the financing charges and the amount of payments you have to make and so on and so on.

And all of a sudden as you hold that contract in your hand, you take your pen and you change the sale price, you change the interest rate on the payments you have to make and so on and so on and you sign it and you hand it back. Do you think you have a deal? Of course you don’t. You have no authority. Unless the dealership would agree and change the terms on the contract, you have no right to change it and sign it.

They’re not going to accept it. And you do not have a deal and you will not drive out of there with a new car. You know, the same thing is true with God. God has offered eternal life and He offers us this in writing in the Scriptures that whosoever would believe or trust in Christ would not perish, but they would have everlasting life. If you look that over and say, I want to add a little baptism to that, I want to add a little church membership to that.

I think I’ll add attending mass to that and I’ll add penance and confession and prayers and we’ll just add a whole lot of those things here and then I’ll put my name on the bottom line. You have made void to contract my friend. You will not be saved. That’s really what it’s saying in Revelation 22 verses 18 and 19. It says if you add or you subtract from what the Bible says about Jesus Christ and how you are to be saved, you will not be saved.

You will be cast into hell. Your name will be stricken from the book of life, according to verse 19 of chapter 22 of Revelation. And by the way, that’s because your name is already there. If you die as an unbeliever, your name is stricken at death because you have not received Christ in Christ alone. Verse 17 of Revelation 22 tells us the only way salvation can be received. It says, Whosoever will let him come and take of the water of life freely, freely, freely.

It’s free. Romans chapter 5 talks about salvation being the free gift of God, the free gift of God. Numerous times it uses the word F-R-E-E. It is free, my friend. It is a gift. It has been purchased by God and he offers it on his terms to all that would believe who so ever will can come and take of the water of life freely, who so ever will can believe or trust in Christ and be saved. If you come and change the terms of the contract you have made at void and you will not be saved.

Amazingly, 90% of Christianity changes it. Why? It’s so really stupid. It’s really so wrong. I mean, why would you have the arrogance to say, God, I don’t like the way you offered it. I think it ought to be this way or that way. I think there are five things you must do to be saved. Well, that isn’t what God said. God said there’s only one thing you have to do to be saved. Why would you want to change it?

Why would you want to be arguing with God? Why would you want to really get God mad at you? Because that’s exactly what you’re going to do. If you don’t accept His word as it is, it’s because you’re rejecting His word. And you’re going to be in trouble with God. And if you don’t trust Christ and Christ alone, you’re not going to make heaven. I plead with you for your soul. I’m going to heaven. I have eternal life. Nothing you do can change where I’m spending eternity.

My friend I received eternal life when I was 18 and I have it and I will possess it forever. I trusted Jesus Christ alone as my only hope of reaching heaven. So there’s nothing you can do to change my salvation. You can shoot me, you can burn me, kill me, stab me, whatever you want to do. You can’t kill my soul. I have everlasting life. And so the Bible says in Matthew 1028, fear not those which can kill the body, but they can’t kill your soul.

You can’t kill my soul. Nobody can kill my soul. You can kill my body. But my friend, I have eternal life. I’m going to heaven. It’s already been paid for. Christ did it at the cross. I received it when I trusted Christ as my Savior. I hope you have. I’m not splitting hairs. I’m pleading with you for your eternity. One day you’ll regret if you did not pay attention and you were trusting in Jesus’ plusure works. Jesus plus anything will equal no salvation.

Christ alone, when you trust Him, is the only means of your salvation, God saves you. Would you do it? Just tell the Lord I’m a sinner. We all are. But I believe Jesus Christ died and paid my sin debt by his death and shed blood. I trust Him right now. to pay him to be my Savior as the one who paid for my sins was buried in rose again from the dead God saves all those that put their trust in Christ I’m Dr.

Englund from this Bible and we’re going to go to the phone lines you’re welcome to call us 1-800-576-3771 we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church you’re welcome to always drop in on us say hi we’d love to have you do that the The third Sunday is this coming Sunday. You can come and have lunch for this right after the worship service. Be my guest and please take us up on that.

We now have Lonnie in Lakeland, Florida. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Ronnie, hi, you’re on the air. Okay. You’re on the air. Do you have a question? Yes. My question is how do you know if it’s Lord speaking to you or if it’s the devil speaking to you? Is there something so right to be so wrong? Well, you know, you can always know by this simple test if it is an agreement with scripture then it’s probably the Lord.

but if it’s not in line with a scripture, then it’s not from the Lord. I’ll never forget one couple. The guy wanted to marry the young girl. She was an unbeliever and he was a believer and he said, she’s just the one. I prayed about it and God said this is the one. I said, well, no, she’s not the one. Unless you get her saved, that could happen. But God never violates his word. And so it’s not his will for you to marry somebody unsaved.

So even though he said he prayed about it, he was not in the will of God in marrying somebody unsaved. So I said, she’s not the one. And he took offense to that and I said, he said, I prayed about it. And I said, I don’t care if you prayed about it or not. God will not answer prayer in violation of his word. So that’s the key thing. And if it’s not clearly spelled out in his word, then God will give you a real piece about what It really is his role.

It says in Colossians 3 16 that God will guide our hearts by his peace that he gives. So if you have doubts and you’re really troubled or agitated or not sure, then that’s probably not the will of God. And so you need to look for first of all clear scriptural direction and then secondly have the peace of God about the choice that you’re going to be making. Hopefully that helps a little bit. Yeah, that does help. Well, Lonnie, we’ll be praying for you.

Apparently you have some important decisions you’re making and get into your Bible and see if whatever you’re dealing with there violates scripture in the direction you might be headed in, definitely then that’s not from God. Okay. Okay. Thank you, Lonnie. And that was Lonnie in Lakeland, Florida. Now we’re going to go to Elka in St. Petersburg, Florida and Elka. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hello. Hi, you’re on the air. Elka? Yeah. You’re on the air. Oh, yes.

Hi. I have a couple of questions, actually. One of them is, I know that you’re saying, Christ, Christ, and Christ, which I have. What about faith without work? Because I always, who you talk about, that, you know, almost as if to say that works don’t matter at all. And so I’m wondering if somebody, you know, one day says that they are trusting Christ and then continues to lead a life of total denial of Christ. And, you know, I don’t know if those two can be possible, but, yeah, I’m just wondering, what about faith without worship, you know, dead?

And I have one other question, and that is that if we’re in the scripture So I didn’t say anything about the marital sex. So somebody asked me that question the other day, and I couldn’t think of where it is, but I know in my heart that God wants us to wait for marriages. Am I wrong? No, you’re absolutely right. At 1 Corinthians 7, verse 1 says to avoid fornication, which is sex outside of marriage, it says get married. So it tells you to avoid that.

The way to do that is to go ahead and get married. And that’s in Corinthians? Corinthians 7. Yes, verse 1. On the Faith Without Works is dead. James, there in chapter 2 of James, is talking about not how to be saved. He’s talking about rewards. And so, faith without works will not get you any rewards in heaven. You’ll be saved. You’ll go to heaven, but you’ll in a sense be a zero in heaven. No rewards at all. It says in 1 Corinthians chapter 3 that we believers are going to have our works examined at the judgment seat of Christ and fire will try our works and test whether they were worthy of reward or not.

And it says in verse 14, if you’re marking this down, 1 Corinthians 3, 14, if any man’s work abide which you have built upon, he shall receive a reward. Verse 15 says, if any man’s work shall be burned, let’s say all that you ever did was burnt up and not worthy of reward, it says you will suffer loss, it’s loss of reward. But the next phrase is incredible. It says, but he himself shall be saved, but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire.

So you’ll still be saved. He said, even though all of your works are burned up because you’ve trusted Christ as your Savior, but you’ll suffer that loss of reward forever. So James is warning all of those that are sitting on their bus and assurance and doing nothing that that nothing that they’re doing will really turn into nothing when they get into heaven. No works here, no rewards there. It’s that simple. When you go to work and you don’t do any work, guess what?

It’s probably going to translate into you being fired and no paycheck. So no work, no paycheck, no work, no rewards in heaven. James says faith without any works will not get you any profit. James 2 14. So that’s all he’s talking about. You’re still saved and you’re saved forever once you trust Christ. That’s a gift. I hope that helps. Yes, yes, it does. Unfortunately, I’m on my cell phone and it’s kind of coming in horrible, but I did get the gist of it.

Yes, thank you. Well, good. And if you have any of that, you can go back and listen to this broadcast later today as often as you like, Elka. Thanks for calling in. Thank you. Right, that was Elka. And sometimes that happens with cell phones. We’re now going to go to David in Oldsmar, Florida and David welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Okay. Okay David you’re on. Hello? Hey David you’re on the air. Yes. What’s your question? Good morning Dr.

Lenzka. Good morning. And I have a question on a verse which I think sometimes leads to a little confusion and I wanted to get your clarification on it. Acts 17 verse 24. Alright I’m turning there right now Now Acts 17 verse 24, and let’s see here, I’m almost there, Acts 17 verse 24. Okay, this sever says, God made the world and all things that are there in, is that it? Yes, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and temples made with hands.

I think I understand he made the universe. and all that there is there in but I believe that there is some who misinterpret that and I think that maybe it’s not necessary for me to go to church or whatever. Okay. Well, really what I was talking about here, Paul was an anthems and they had on the Acropolis, Well really…

which is still there today, these temples for all the Greek gods and he’s telling them that they were obviously idolators and worshiping these gods supposedly that lived in those temples that they didn’t live in those temples. Truly, God does come into our bodies and our bodies become his temple, his dwelling place. and certainly he doesn’t live in any building anyplace. So it’s not the church building either, that is God’s temple. That is a misunderstanding. The church is really not the building.

The church, according to the Bible, is the people. And so on Sunday morning, the church that I pastor drives into the parking lot. They exit their cars and they come into the building. And when the service is over, they exit the building and they go back into their cars and they drive home. So the church is the people, not the building. And God does not dwell in an earthly building, but the Jewish people of course did have a temple.

And God did choose to show His presence there in Israel, the temple built by Solomon, and then later the one built after the Babylonian captivity. God does not dwell in a building. He dwells in our bodies as believers. And that’s fine. I appreciate that. But yeah, it is important to go to church though. Hebrews 1025 says we’re not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together as the man or some is, but we’re to encourage one another to get together, meet together as believers.

So definitely, we should attend church and uh… the bible certainly encourages that but we don’t do that to become safe in nor is the church building his temple thank you very much and you’re very welcome thank you david uh… from uh… old’s mar florida calling in on one eight hundred five seven six We’re excited about this week. We’re going to have those classes tomorrow night if you’re in the Tampa Bay area. You know, these classes can also be taken on the internet.

We’re also excited about our internet expanding all the time. People all around the world, 150 countries have logged in and you can tell your friends in other countries. We have more and more people telling us they’ve got their friends overseas and other lands listening to Bibleline, which is exciting. You too can tell your friends and loved ones and maybe your Christian friends or missionaries to tune into Bibleline and we know that they’re doing that from Japan and from Korea and from Nigeria and Africa and all around the world, all over Europe.

We’re excited about that. And so this is a great outreach that Bibleline has and they can see a video. They can actually watch our worship services. They’re in our archive and you can go look at them throughout the week as often as you like. We hope that you’ll take a look at that special Rapture program we did on Sunday morning that was a live webcast an hour long and we’ll certainly have that up soon that you can take a look at that.

If you haven’t helped by the line, we certainly would covet your prayers and if you could give us help financial aid to keep bible in on the year that would be appreciated call rate of number operational take a new that my phone or my mail and we’re going to take a break and we’re going to come back into a second half hour of bible and so keep your radio tuned right where it is and we’re going to be right back after this short break away bible line will be back in a moment give us a call at one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one that’s one eight hundred five seven six thirty seven seventy one I’m Dr.

Hank Lindstrom and it’s wonderful to be with you on this Monday, two days before the rapture. I’m teasing, but it could be. The Lord is coming soon and you probably will come on the Feast of Trumpets, I believe, and that would be this Wednesday. So it could be you only have a little time left on this planet if you’re a Christian. If you’re an unbeliever listening, then you’ll be left behind and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. darkest hours of human history are about ready to take place, and all those that are unbelievers will be left behind at the rapture, but those that are believers will escape this terrible time that will come upon the entire Earth.

There’s no place escaping it. And look at the world today. There’s really no place to escape the things that are coming, and they’re coming so rapidly. I’m excited as a believer to know I’m going to be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. There might be a part of a group that will never die, that will be exempted by death by being caught up while I’m living and alive and transformed into my new body on the way up to meet the Lord.

That is truly exciting and I hope that you’re a believer so that you might experience this event where you’ll be with the Lord forever and ever and ever. If you’re not a believer, you can do it right now. You can tell the Lord Lord I’m a sinner. I don’t understand much, but I believe Jesus died and shed his blood and paid my sin dead. In full was buried in rose again from the dead. When you trust him, God will save you the moment you do that.

If you want to know more about the Rapture, I have a 12 hour teaching on CD, 12 hours on CDs, 12 CDs that will go through all of the different Rapture theories and talk about what the Bible really does say about the Rapture. find it a very fascinating study and I think you’ll find it very helpful and your understanding of what’s going to happen next on God’s program. We thank God for all of you listeners. You’re the ones who keep us on the air.

It is your prayers and your gifts that make it possible to be on the air every day. Thank you for giving. We don’t have any other source of support and God has raised up people just like you who enjoyed the program and said, I’d like to see that program continue. I’d like to see that program expand and I’d like to see the world reached with that kind of information that we’re giving out. Right from God’s Word and we try to shoot straight and give you just what the Bible has to say.

I’m Dr. Hank Vinst from The This is Bibleline and we would appreciate a phone call. Let us know your listening. Let us know you’re enjoying. If you can help us, that would be great as well. We hope we become acquainted. We’re going to go to the stations that have been on break into the second half hour of Bibleline. So keep your radio dial tuned right where it is and we’re going to do part two of the second half hour of Bibleline.

Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back for that break and this is Bible. I know it’s great to be with you every day We just thank God we have this opportunity to be able to get together and chat many people tell me that they Listen as often as they can some every day many are on the road or in sales and or Delivers are driving their truck or car and they catch as much as they can But if you want to get the full program or go back and review any part, you can go to the internet by the line Ministries.org.

And there you can click on the spinning globe and you can listen to our radio programs out live and also catch them in archive and listen again and again. The nice thing about it is you can back me up. You can pause it. You can fast forward. It’s kind of neat what you can do while you’re listening to live radio. You can’t back me up or fast forward me or put me on pause, but you can if you go back into the archives and listen to the radio programs later on the internet.

That makes it kind of neat. Also our worship services are there. I hope you’ll take a look at those and you can get your Bible out and set it up on the table there and get your pen and take notes and be able to watch and pause it. Again, the same kind of things you can pass forward or back up and listen as often as you like. Great way to learn the Word of God and I think you’ll benefit greatly.

I want to thank all of you who give. You’re the ones who keep the program on the air. We don’t have any other means of support. All of our funding comes directly from our listeners and we thank God for every one of you who give. We have some wonderful people who have been faithful Bibleline supporters who keep this program going. Some tell me they’ve been listening ever since we began with the 15-minute program about six years ago. And we’re excited that they have stayed faithful to us all these years.

And we’re excited about that. Praise God. And that’s wonderful. We are excited about how the gospel is a powerful message. And we are trying to preach that message here on Bibleline. It’s a message that can bring life to a dead soul and you know it works. A lot of times people aren’t getting saved because they’re hearing a confused message, a muddied message and not the gospel. And I just was so blessed on Friday night. I had a small funeral service but about 80% or more of the people there got saved.

I tell you, that just thrills my soul. When I see people coming to know Christ as your Savior, and a lot of people have just never heard the gospel presented and just don’t know what the Bible has to say. And it’s good news when people hear it and understand it. And usually if a person understands it, they can trust the Lord. We have a CD. How permanent is your salvation? And it’s a powerful witnessing tool. We just had a fellow over the weekend order 40 of those CDs from Ohio.

And he just says, I’ve got to have a load of these to give out to people. They just really work. They really work. And people get saved through hearing that CD. You might want to order something for evangelism there for $5 a piece, a gift of Bible and it will help us. But it’s a wonderful message. It got to just blast and thousands have gotten saved through that CD, how permanent is your salvation. Get a resource sheet. Call and ask for one to be sent to you or go to the internet and go to our website Bible Line Ministries and click on the online bookstore and see for yourself.

We’re excited about what God is doing and we hope that you’ll be a partner with us in accomplishing these things. We have CW on the line. We’re going to go to the phone lines again. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771. But CW is in Chesterfield, Virginia. And CW, welcome to Bibleline your own knee. Dr. Lipscomb, I thank you for your program. I certainly enjoy it. The question I have is I have some people asking me questions and I thought I was clear on the subject and I realized I wasn’t as clear as I thought I was.

Reference the timeline pertaining to the time that we had dinosaur was roaming the earth and the time of creation and also the link to who are all supply. And if you give me an answer then we’ll just hang up and listen to you on the radio. That’d be great, CW. I personally believe the Earth is The Earth is very old. It says in Genesis 1-1, in the beginning. The beginning is when the universe was created, when space and time came into being.

The four dimensions that we’re bound by had a start. And actually, scientists have come to that same conclusion. Finally, they now are pretty much accepting the Big Bang that all of a sudden, boom, the universe exploded into existence, whereas prior to that it did not exist. I don’t know if you know this or not, but scientists for the past several centuries believe that the universe was eternal and that the universe had always existed and always would. And obviously they were wrong.

They based this on the law of the conservation of matter. And if you’ve ever taken chemistry, you’ve probably heard of that law. It’s great for chemical relationships and it’s true in those circumstances, but it was really inadequate to explain everything and Einstein came along and modified that law. It’s now called the Law of the Conservation of Energy, which tells us that all the energy in the universe is a constant. In any case, this really tells us something brand new, E is equal to MZ squared, or that energy and matter are equatable.

You can convert energy into matter and you can convert matter into energy. That’s what happens in a nuclear explosion. The very atoms crack apart and the tremendous energy that is trapped there is released. That’s obviously the tremendous destructive power that is unleashed in a nuclear weapon. We obviously shouldered. I think that somebody might use one of those in the near future, but that’s the power of the universe. Well, God created the universe out of His energy, and He brought the universe into existence in Genesis 1 and 1.

Jeremiah 10 and 12 says that God created the universe out of His energy, and we find the Bible was way ahead of Einstein. What told us what Einstein 3000 years later told us the Bible already had told us this wonderful, incredible scientific fact. So I believe that that was many, many years ago, maybe billions and billions of years ago. And the Bible says in Isaiah 45, 18 that God created the earth perfect and inhabited when he created it. So we believe this earth had life on it.

animals, dinosaurs, and also angelic life. There was no man on the earth. And so that earth came to a conclusion when Satan, who is the head of the angels, Lucifer, decided to overthrow God. And then God judged the earth and it became like we find it in Genesis 1-2. It tells us in Isaiah 45-18 that God did not create the earth vain. Well, The Lord vain is the same Hebrew word translated void in Genesis 1-2. So we learn from Isaiah 45-18 that God did not create the earth void without form, but rather he created it perfect and inhabited.

And so what happened in verse 2 is therefore a judgment. And we believe that’s when God judged the earth and Satan in his angels when they attempted to overthrow heaven. We also know that life on the planet was killed at that point and NASA tells us that the dinosaurs were killed in an event when a meteor struck the earth in the area that you could end, you could tan peninsula. It’s about a 150-mile diameter piece of rock and apparently they say it threw up so much debris into the atmosphere that the sun’s light was cut out for millions and millions of years.

Well, as a result, the dinosaurs in all life on the planet died. If NASA is right, then 65 million years ago, the original Earth… He said, I came to a halt as far as life on the planet. The earth was flooded in darkness as we read in Genesis 1-2. And then it says, interestingly enough, that the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. That probably took place about 6,000 years ago. And that’s Genesis 1-2, the Holy Spirit.

It says, moved and the Hebrew word there is to incubate, to brood upon. It is the same that would be used of a hen sitting on eggs on the nest and keeping them warm and hatching them out. So apparently the Holy Spirit warmed the earth up and thought it out from the ice ages and made it ready to inhabit life again. And then God in seven days had a re-creative week and this time puts man on the planet. But if you read carefully there, first of all the earth was flooded.

It wasn’t until day three that dry land appeared. We find that he did not have to create plants because the seeds were already here from the original creation. If you read carefully, oh mention of the creation of the plants on this earth. It says every one of them that trees the grasses, everything came forth from seed that was already here in the earth. He did not have to recreate air-breathing animals. On the fifth day he did that, and on the sixth day he created man.

Many creatures in the sea maybe still are around from the original creation. That is what has got evolutionists all confused. Or people that read about evolution. There is no evolution, not at all. But there are creatures, I believe, in the oceans. sharks, they say around millions of years, probably true. Life in the sea has continued. Now God had to recreate whales, you read that in Genesis on the fifth day. Anything to breathe there, that would be manatees, porpoise, whales and so on.

They all had to be recreated, but you didn’t have to create plants because the seeds were all ready here. All you needed It was sunlight, dry land and all that happened on the third day and plant life came forth. So I believe that’s really kind of the scenario and the fossil remains we have are the result of the destruction that came upon the earth when God judged the earth and we have pockets of oil sitting beneath that desert sand over in the Middle East and we run our cars on that fossil fuel and coal is the fossilized plant life and petroleum is fossil animal life.

Amazing. A lot of animals were killed. The plant life was killed when the earth was destroyed and that has been trapped underneath the earth and roots are fossil fuels today. I have several CDs on that and articles that I’ve written. You can go to the internet and find them and order them. I think you’ll find it very interesting. Thank you, I hope that helped answer your question today and we appreciate your calling in. We have here Barbara in Scotia, New York calls in off here and she says I’m Catholic, very disappointed in the religion, the Roman Catholic religion.

Jehovah’s Witnesses come by my home constantly saying there is no Trinity and389 other things that don’t seem to be in the Bible. Please, Barbara says what is the truth? Well, obviously, there is a lot of confusion out there today, and Satan is the author of confusion. You certainly don’t want to listen to the witnesses. They are far, far from the Bible. And also, the Roman Catholic Church is really presenting a salvation based upon what the church can offer you.

The Pope just recently said that the only true church is the Roman Catholic Church and every other church is deficient or inferior or wrong. There’s only one true church that he says. That’s wrong. The Bible is, of course, the answer and you need to go to the Word of God and see what it says. I would read the Gospel of John. And in John’s Gospel, when you get to chapter 3, you have the most wonderful verse in all the world.

for God so loved the world that you and me that he gave his only begotten son, that’s Jesus Christ, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Barbara, you need to trust Christ as your only means of reaching heaven, and when you do, God saves you and be very careful that you always check out what you’re hearing against the Bible as the authority and you’ll never go wrong. You’ll find the Bible and the Jehovah’s Witnesses really don’t get along.

And you’ll find Roman Catholicism and the Bible doesn’t get along because obviously these are teaching things that are unbiblical. Of course, interesting to me is that the Roman Catholic Church in the Catechism has taken out the second commandment that deals with graven images and idols and just dumped it and has taken the tenth commandment and split it in May 2. So when you read about the ten commandments in the Roman Catechism, they’ve robbed you have the second commandment. They give you ten, but it’s a slight of hand, a bit of trickery, and it’s unfortunate that they would trick you like that so that they could continue to practice idolatry when the Bible clearly forbids it.

So you have to watch out. You have to always check things against the Scriptures, and Barbara will be praying for you. We have John now in Richmond, Virginia. John, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the end. Yes, sir. My question. I’m going to ask you all where you find that. Oh, you’re preaching and all the letters to be a curse. What’s what that’s that’s the Galatians chapter one versus eight and nine that if you teach a perversion of the Bible or the gospel, you’re preaching in a curse message and God warns about doing that in Galatians one eight and nine.

I hope that helps you, John. Yes, I can you preaching on what is done according to the Bible. You said that you don’t have to be baptized. That’s right. Not with water. Water baptism will not save anybody. And remember the dying thief John was never water baptized. When the two thieves were hanging on the cross, one of them believed, one of them rejected Christ. The one that believed Christ said to him today that I shall be with me in paradise.

He didn’t say I’m sorry that you need to be water baptized and you’re going to go to hell because we really don’t have any time to get you off that cross-baptize. You can get you back up on the cross and let you die. That was different. No, it’s different. Christ was here with the thief. Christ hadn’t died then. He was talking to the thief right now. He’s not here to talk to us like that. Like he was talking to the thief.

He hadn’t died then. He died for all the sins, but he was shed with. Well you’re absolutely right, but he Christ died before the thieves did, and so they died on this side of the cross and are saved the way everybody in this age is saved. There is no verse, John, it says that we are saved by water baptism. Water will not wash away your sin. Now we are washed of our sin, but it’s in the blood of Jesus.

Revelation 1, 5 says unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. Yes, but now with doctrine, kind of back dead, what if preached when they said they are, if you preach in all the doctrine, let it be your curse? That’s true and that’s what you’re preaching, John, because none of the apostles taught water would save you. None of them said you had to be water baptized to be safe. That’s simply not true Then do you say I’m Nick a beam of what to do you sure dad and he told me to be born again And be baptized no never you’re not reading read John chapter 3 He said you have to be born of water and born of the spirit now That’s not baptism and the birth of water is the natural birth John when you come into this world

You’re enclosed in the sack of water in your mother’s womb and when that water sack breaks Then you are born physically into this world and then you have to have a second birth Which is what Christ is referring to there? You have to have the second birth which is of the spirit which occurs when you trust Christ as Savior There’s no water baptism in John 3 Jesus was baptized, but it didn’t save him. Did he need to be saved?

No, of course. What he was doing was actually being immersed as the consecration of him as a priest. In the Old Testament, when a priest became 30 years of age, he was fully immersed in water and baptized. Jesus was exactly 30 when he was baptized and it marked the beginning of his ministry. Part of that time he did no miracles. Part of that time he did not preach. His ministry did not begin until he was baptized. That’s exactly what the Bible teaches in Exodus chapter 28 and in Numbers chapter 4 and 5 that when you were 30 you were totally immersed in a baptism that marked the beginning of your ministry.

He wasn’t baptized to be saved. Obviously he’s God. He didn’t need anything. Yeah, but he left again for us to be baptized. Any word does it say the word of baptize to be saved John? Well he told us that people will have an editor and it is baptize you, shall I be saved? John, I think you’re mixed up. I really feel badly for you because that is not true. He says that he Christ would baptize with the Holy Spirit.

Now that baptism saves you. That baptism places you into the body of Christ and every believer has that baptism upon trusting 1 Corinthians 12, 13 says, by one spirit, are we all baptized into one body? Nothing to do with water. It’s the Holy Spirit baptism. By the way, there are ten baptisms taught in the New Testament. John, if you’ll talk to my operator here, I’ll be glad to send you a listing of the ten baptisms. And water certainly does not save.

In Jeremiah chapter 2 it says even if you wash with strong soap God says your iniquities mark before me. Water and soap and water will not take away your sin. Only the blood of Christ you must trust Christ in order to be saved. We’re going to move to our next caller because we have so many waiting here but John please let our operators know and I’ll be glad to send you that free of charge. We have Tim in Lake Worth, Florida.

Tim, welcome to Bibleline Your On The Air. Good morning. My daughter married a Catholic man, and she had to change to become Catholic. Anyway, someone recently told me about a movie called Luther. He had a Catholic lady, do you carry that movie? Have you ever heard about it? Do you know anything about it? Well, there was an old Black and White version, which is pretty incredible about his discovery of how to be saved. And his tremendous stand that he took, even though they attempted to kill him for proclaiming this message, he was really quite a remarkable man who really got the reformation going.

When he packed his theses on the church door in Whitmer, Germany, he showed how the Roman Catholic Church had departed severely from the scriptures and that’s what marked the reference. It’s good. I think it’s available. We don’t stock it. We could probably get it for you. I think it’s now available on a CD. But I originally saw it when it was on film and we showed it. It was very powerful and I’m sure it’s just as powerful but we don’t have it in stock but we could try to get it.

Who would I talk to there? Talk to Mike in our office called the office summer right after the radio show Okay, very good. Thank you. It was Tim and we are now going to anonymous in Texas and Anonymous welcome to my blood Question eternal salvation. Does it matter how you work? Can you serve on the? No, it’s it is true once you’re saved You always say because it’s eternal salvation that he offers God doesn’t offer probation or a trial period He offers eternal life It’s eternal or God really made a big mistake in using the wrong words.

He should have said I’m offering temporary life this ever believed in Christ would not perish but have temporary life It’s eternal life He offers and and I don’t know why people have a problem understanding that and in it’s in John 3 16 it says you have it, you possess it. At the moment you believe it will possess it forever thereafter. So if you have eternal life today, it will be eternal life tomorrow. And next week and next year and ten years from now and a hundred years from now and so on and so on, it’s truly eternal.

And also to go along with that, I pretty much have all this. I’ve been listening to you for a while, but I pretty much have all the scriptures that you have been going over as it returns to eternal salvation. And as I’m trying to come back, because I know it’s the truth, it’s coming straight out of the Bible. So as I’m trying to convey my, well, my mother’s God’s message over to people, how do you break through these barriers?

I mean, I know I want to remain consistent, but sometimes things like some people are a little resistant to it. It’s almost like they have a trace where they grew up and their granddad was in this trailer trailer. Right. Yeah, and it seemed like it was a little difficult at times and I’m just going through you know the basis script of John 524, John 316. Well you know what I mean. You know, I mean, all those scriptures that you go, I mean, I’ve basically been going over tomorrow.

Even how our righteousness is at filthy rag. Right. You’re doing the right thing. I just have to keep chipping away and pray that they’ll understand. I hate to cut you off, but we’re at the end of the hour here and we have to run. But calling in tomorrow, we’ll talk more about it. That CDI offer how permanent is your salvation is really a great tool. You might want to get one of those and and make sure they get into the right hands.

I’m Dr. Englund’s from this has been by blind. We’ve had a great time with you today. We’ll be back again tomorrow. I hope you’ll join me then. Of course on the internet you can join me as often as you like 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We’ll be back tomorrow and in the meantime I hope you keep looking up. Jesus is coming. He might come this week and I hope he does. That’d be great, wouldn’t it? God bless you and have a great day.
