Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day here on Bible Eye and thank you for tuning in today.
You can catch us on the internet if you want. Go to Bible Eye Ministries.org and you’ll be able to catch us there on the internet 24 hours a day, seven days a week anytime that you desire to go there. And the nice thing about listening to the radio program on the internet is if you go in our account and listen to the programs and you can fast forward, you can back up, you can pause, you can have your Bible open and just pause and take some notes and then proceed forward.
It’s kind of nice that way. Also our Sunday sermons are all there. If you click on the camera on the home page, we have 45 weeks of messages right there for you to view and to listen to and we hope you’ll take advantage of the internet site there BibleLineMinistries.org. Click on the camera for our worship services. On Sunday morning we webcast that live. So if you go there between 11 and 12, you can actually join our worship service live on Sunday morning.
But if you can’t and we understand why you wouldn’t be able to, perhaps, you can do it throughout the week at your pleasure. whenever it’s convenient for you you can join the worship service and be with us uh… by way of the internet i hope you’ll take advantage of these many things we have so many wonderful resources in our resource center we just restocked our book of revelation that’s uh… twelve hour series on the book of revelation verse by verse it’s wonderful a lot of people are getting it and we can hardly keep it in stock we also have a gospel of john that we just finished which comes in two parts, part one and part two.
It’s actually 18 class hours, but each of my classes ran 65 minutes. So if you multiply 18 times five minutes extra, it’s almost two hours more. So you’re getting 20 hours of teaching longer than any series that I’ve done, verse my verse in the wonderful Gospel of John. If there’s any Gospel, you really ought to look at first before you study the rest of the Bible, I believe it’s the Gospel of John. We took our time to do a good job and you’ll enjoy that.
We have it on video, a gift of $150 to the Bible and you can get all 20 hours of teaching on DVD with the audio and video. If you want to get all of those 20 hours of teaching, you can get it on CD for a gift of $50 for the first half and $50 again for the second half. All of these are in a nice book like jacket that keeps them organized and looks nice on your shelf and you’ll be able to keep that in your car and keep those discs organized if you’re playing CDs in your car.
They won’t go all over the car. We also have quite a few CDs that I’ve done on the topic of predestination. We’ve been talking a little bit about that this week on the radio program and you can order some of those. The Book of Romans is a wonderful book and we have that whole book on CD. The book of Acts, we have that on CD. The book of Hebrews, which causes a lot of folks’ problems, there are difficult passages that most commentaries skip and leave people high and dry.
We cover all the difficult passages and give answers in our series, 10 Hours of Teaching on CD on Hebrews. You might want to get that. We have a little book of Jude, which is one of the most incredible little books. 10 Hours of Teaching on the Book of Jude is that transitional book between the 64 books of the Bible prior to and introducing the last and final book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation, Jude is a marble. And we did ten hours on that and it’s an excellent study.
That was one of my favorites when I talked that and I know that you’ll enjoy that series. We’ve got so much in the way of Bibles, books, we’ve got a number of… A real inexpensive one. We have more than a carpenter. Six dollars. Great soul winning tool by Josh McDow. We have one minute after you died. Six dollars by Erwin Lutzer, pastor of Moody Memorial Church in Chicago. We have the Bible promise book, a thousand promises in the King James version of the Bible for a gift I think of.
Six dollars. We have another one called the facts on Islam, a gift of six dollars. We have another one called the Facts about the Messianic Lodge and Masons for $6. And so we have a lot of things that are inexpensive and that will really be a great aid to you, including a tract called Spirit of Truth and the Spirit of Error published by Booty Press. And it gives you the belief system of eight cults with a column that contrasts what they believe and the quotes from their writings with the Bible.
It’s really a wonderful valuable tool. If a cult member comes, you can whip that thing out and have answers immediately for your discussion. We’re going to turn to the Bible right now and then we’ll take our callers today. So if you have your Bible handy, we’re going to turn over to the book of Acts today to chapter 13. Those who believe in predestination love to go to this verse. I believe in predestination. But what God has predetermined is who He would save and how He would save them.
And He chose before the foundations of the world that He would save all that would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. the foundations of the earth he chose not to save all those that would not believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. So there are just two groups, those that believe and those that believe not. But God does not make your choice for you. You have a choice to accept or reject Christ as Savior. If I didn’t believe that, I would stop witnessing today.
I really believe that we are told, as it says in Mark 1615, to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Obviously people need to hear the gospel, and the gospel according to Paul in Romans 1 16 is the power of God. It says, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it the gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believe it. So when you believe the gospel, you become saved.
Acts 1631, the Philippian jailer, said, what must I do to be saved? Paul and Silas said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved. It is your personal choice. Well, this verse presents a problem for some as you read it in the King James Bible. And this is chapter 13 of the book of Acts. I’m going to read to you the verse that people oftentimes bring up. This is Acts 13, verse 48, and it says, and when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord, and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
Now that one seems to be hard to defend. Let me read it again. And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord, and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. Sounds like the ones that were already picked out by God believed, but that is not really the meaning. And the problem comes because of the translation from Greek to English. The word ordained here in this passage does not mean preordained, and the ordination or the determination here is on the part of the one hearing the word, not God making that decision for them.
For example, if you go over to chapter 15, and here’s a word study, we’re going to look it verse 2, and it says, when therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, in other words they had a big argument, it says they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem under the apostles and elders about this question. Well you’ll notice here it says they determined. The word determined is the same word, translated or dained in X1348.
Here you’ll notice it’s not a pre-ordination, but notice it was a determination at that point in time when the events were taking place. And it wasn’t God determining it, but it was they themselves that determined. It says they determined that Paul and part of us should go up to Jerusalem. So this was a personal decision, a decision on the part of the ones that were involved here in this discussion and this mutation that took place. And they determined that Paul and Bartimis should go up to Jerusalem and get this thing solved.
So it wasn’t a forward ordination. The word ordained here really is the same word translated. They determined. It wasn’t a God determined it. So in Acts 13, 48 it’s really saying, as many as were determined to have eternal life, believed, if you wanted to have eternal life, you trusted Christ. And you know, tonight I heard the gospel, I wanted to go to heaven. I didn’t want to go to hell, and I made my choice, and I trusted Christ to save you.
So because I wanted to eternal life, I determined that I wanted to eternal life, and therefore I believe that I’ve been saved when I believed on Christ as Savior. The same word that’s translated or named in Acts 13 is also translated a different way over in 1 Corinthians 16. If you have your Bible there, you can turn with me. But 1 Corinthians 16, you have this wonderful verse talking about the enthusiasm of the believers here that Paul was writing about.
He says in verse 15, I beseech you, brethren, this is chapter 16, verse 15 in your Bible, first Corinthians 16, 15, I beseech you, brethren, you know the house of Staphalis, that it is the first fruits of occasion, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints. Now the word addicted there is the same word translated or dained in Acts 1348 the same word did translate this translated determined in Acts 15 in verse 2 and so here it says they addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints So notice this is a personal addiction by the way This kind of addiction is a good one they addicted themselves to ministering to the saints to the believers And so it was a personal decision that was made in real time, not before the foundations of the earth.
It was an addiction, not that God determined that they would have, but they themselves had this addiction that was a personal decision to minister to the saints. So again, Acts 1348 is not a proof text that God makes your decision for you. I’ll read the verse again and we’ll explain what it means. Verse 48 of Acts 13, and when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord, and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
And we believe it would be better translated as many as desired eternal life or as many as determined that they wanted eternal life They believed, and this was a personal determination that they themselves made, not God making it for them, and it was not a pre-ordination. It did not happen before the foundations of the earth. This happened at the point of time when they heard the wonderful gospel of Jesus. They determined, I want to go to heaven. And as a result, they believed, and then they became saved.
And yes, they went to heaven because they believed on Christ the Savior. I’m Dr. Englinschroom, this is Bible and the Bible does not teach that God makes the choice for you. The Bible teaches that every individual has to make a choice and if you die without Christ, you’re going to be lost forever and ever and ever. I’m Dr. Englinschroom, we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church. This is Friday and we want to hear from you and if you want to call in the number is 1-800-576-576-8.
Alright, that’s 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to try and take a few off here questions real quickly here. Kevin, in Largo, calls in and Kevin says, can you offer scriptural insights in regard to stress? Well, I would recommend, Kevin, that you go to Philippians, and they’re in chapter 4. We have a wonderful passage here that talks about exactly that question. It says here, be careful for nothing in the King James in verse 6 of Philippians chapter 4. That phrase means don’t be anxious or don’t be filled with anxiety.
Don’t worry. It says here be not anxious or be careful for nothing. But in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known unto God, and the peace of God, through which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Isn’t that wonderful? Here’s the answer for stress. If you’re stressed out, the Bible says here, don’t be anxious. Don’t worry. The Old Testament says don’t fret the Old Testament word they use is fret, but it means exactly that.
Don’t worry about the situation. Take it to the Lord in prayer. I love the Old hymn. What a friend we have in Jesus. What peace we often forfeit because we don’t take it to the Lord in prayer. So we ought to really just in everything it says here by prayer and supplications with Thanksgiving. Let your request be known unto God and the peace of God which penses all understanding shall keep or guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Kevin, I hope that helps. We’re going to go to Troy in the land, Florida and Troy, welcome to Bible and you’re on the earth. Good morning pastor. I wanted to thank you so much for your Calvinism explanations and comparisons and contrast. I was watching TV Sunday and they had on three face one God. They had the Muslim, even the, I guess they had the small children, but they had the Muslim leading the prayer and showing everybody how they pray and how they kneel and how they worship, return to Mecca.
It was just, it was, it was just, I guess, I was, I was flabbergasted. I just didn’t know why Christians, Methodists, Pastor, they had a rabbi which was a female, Judaism, and actually the program from what I saw was about, I guess, and there were a Muslim male trying to connect the face, but they were, but they were actually, I think it’s called, Intersect Faith. It was just, it looked like eventually it’d be like one world religion. Oh yeah, it’s heading there fast.
And obviously the Muslims are praying to Mecca because of a meteorite there that fell in the sands of the desert there. And Mecca is all about that 12 inch in diameter black rock that they prayed to, which Mohammed taught was the point of contact between Allah and man. And Allah is of course the moon God. And the moon is what they pray to. You can see that on every minaret I’ve been around the world and wherever you go in whatever country when you see an Arab mosque and you see the perch hour you see the crescent moon at the top because they’re praying to the the moon.
And, you know, when we, as Christians, talk about Jesus being the answer because He’s God who took on flesh, even on our ambulances we have the Red Cross. But in the Muslim countries they have the Crescent Moon because they pray to the moon God, that is their God. And obviously not the same God at all, the God of creation. yet no one knows God unless they trust Christ as their Savior. Jesus made that very clear that He was the same God that appeared to Moses at the burning bush and He says here to this crowd, you have not known Him.
But I know Him and if I should say I know Him that I shall be a liar like unto you. I know him and keep his saying.” And then he goes on down and explain again that he’s actually got himself his name as I Am. And he says that you’re of your father to the devil. So anybody who’s not saved, whether Jew or Gentile or… They don’t know the living God unless they trust Christ because Christ is God revealed in flesh.
In John 14, Jesus says, if you had known me, you should have known my Father also. And from henceforth you know him and have seen him. And Philip got confused and said, Lord, show us the Father, and it will satisfy us. In verse 9 of John 14, Jesus said to Philip, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that has seen me has seen the Father. So if you have seen Christ, you’ve seen the Father, because he is the Father, revealed in human flesh.
God chose to reveal himself to man in the person of Christ, and you go nowhere without Christ. Christ said I’m the way, the truth, the life, and no man can come under the Father but by me. So there’s well over a billion Muslims that are all headed for a hell where they’ll be separated from God for all eternity. They need to be one to Christ. I’ve led some, but they’re very, very difficult to lead to Christ because they’re fearful of the reprisals that will come upon them if they convert to Christianity.
Hope that helps, Troy. Thank you for that call in the land of Florida. We have Adam in Denver Colorado. Adam in Denver, welcome to my Blender on the air. Hey, thank you, Dr.. Got a couple questions. Have you ever heard of, I’m sure you have, but Fin Chat, Tara, I’m a bit of trash. I’m not sure if I have. It’s, I guess what it is. No, I haven’t heard of him either. And I don’t know if it’s a messianic religion or somewhere they believe in the Old Testament and then they believe in the New Testament and a couple of pallets about it.
They looked on their website and they believe in everything of the Old Testament and they also believe that Jesus. Well, you know, I find a lot of the Messianic groups do that and they also believe in works still. They believe you can lose your salvation, which means unfortunately, which is tragic, that they’re not saved. If you believe you can lose your salvation, you’re really saying that from this point right now, until you die, that if you live the Christian life successfully, you’ll go to heaven, but if you don’t and you backslide and die, you go to hell.
That means what you do between now and death determines your salvation. That’s works. That means you become a Savior, not Christ. The one who has placed his trust in Christ can say, right now, I’m going to heaven. And I can’t lose it because he not only saves me, but he keeps me saved. And that’s the wonderful truth of the gospel is that he delivers me from the penalty of sin and death by his death and shed blood and there’s nothing that I can do.
So I feel badly for these groups because they come close but they’re not unless you trust price the loan for your salvation you will not be saved. I have been, I’ll keep my ears open but there’s so many today. I used to teach cults in a Bible college years ago and oh it’s a tremendous job to keep up because they change all the time they don’t stay the same the chose witnesses are constantly constantly involving evolving and changing and so are the Mormons and and all these other groups they don’t uh…
they don’t stay the same and so you really have to do your homework all the time to keep up with what they believe but the wonderful thing is if you believe the bible you’ve got it made uh… somebody once told me they were a of a banker that i knew and they went up to washington dc to the uh… uh… where they print the money and uh… they watched you know went through all the process of the presses all the money rolling off and all that stuff and all that time they told me that they never never never saw a counterfeit bill shown to them yet they were going up there to be able to take counterfeit bills and what they did was teach them all about the real currency and they were told if they knew the real currency well like it’s about a counterfeit
in a heartbeat and i believe that is the way we are about approach the bible if you know your bible well you can recognize a counterfeit in a heartbeat you don’t have to spend all of your time studying all the counterfeits if you just know your bible well you’re going to know that’s not right that’s not right boy that doesn’t agree with the bible this can’t be true and as a eight twenty it says if they speak not according to this word the bible It is because there is no light in them.
So obviously the Bible is the authority. Sure to thank you Adam for calling in and hopefully have a great day out there in Denver Colorado. Thank you, Dr. Duswomark, quickly. And we’ve found a church that pretty much is in line with your teachings. And I was looking on this website and believe in the big wall of Yeshua they call Jesus, you know, and the beady and salvation and everything. But the only thing that really stood out to me was the tongue.
on there and I was like, wow, they have that wrong. I mean, like, you know, right. I mean, you know, if you stay in with the word with the Bible, I mean, you could really kind of recognize that and that’s kind of where it is feeling. And I, you know, it’s a flag. I got to run here because of the time. Thank you, Adam. And that’s true. What we have today is not the tongues movement. We have the gibberish movement.
And the gibberish movement is continually growing. The tongues movement ended at the end of the first century and the Bible supports them. We have to go to break. We’ll come back and do a second half hour of Bible and don’t go away. Keep your radio hug real tight there and we’ll come back in just a minute to do the second half of Bible. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771.
Well, I’m Dr. Inglitz. It’s great to be with you today. It’s Friday and I hope that you’ll listen over the weekend on the Internet. You can listen to past programs. You can listen to today’s show and yesterday’s and so on all the way back for a whole year. You can also watch our worship services and if you don’t have a church to attend you can certainly come by and visit us but if you can’t physically do that you can go on the website BibleLineMinistries.org click on the camera between 11 and 12 and you’ll find that the audio and the video will come up on your screen and you can actually enlarge it and fill up your whole TV center monitor so that the whole family can watch all one time and you can join our worship service live right here out of Tampa on Sunday mornings
as we webcast that every week. That’s exciting and of course we have so many resources that will help you learn your Bible. So many of them are really inexpensive and we have a number of things that are five or six dollars and our tracks are wonderful. We have the track called Am I Going to Heaven which actually does all the work for you. You can actually give it to somebody and expect that they read it and follow through. They’ll get saved because it has everything in there.
The scriptures are there. They’re quoted and they’re highlighted in blue and It just really takes them right through the gospel plan in such a clear concise Simple way you might want to get some of our gospel tracks and also the book on Evangelism handbook of personal evangelism a gift of $12. We have that in Spanish We have it in English. We have the Schofield Bibles, including the Spanish English Schofield Bible. That’s right. One side of the page has the Schofield notes and the Bible in Spanish.
The other side of the page is the King James Version of the Bible with the Schofield notes. And so it’s really two Bibles in one. It’s beautifully bound and it’s really a treasure. I would recommend that for somebody who would like to compare the languages or study the skill field notes in the Spanish Bible. If you haven’t helped us, September is about ready to end and you could give a gift to Bible and buy credit card over the phone.
We could use your help to get out of September with both feet on the ground. And if you want to give a gift, you can do that by credit card today or call and ask for an envelope to be sent with our address on it and you can mail that gift into Bible and you can also give on our online bookstore on the internet. Just go up on the internet to Bibleline Ministries and click on the online bookstore. There you’ll find a place to do that.
We’re gonna be joined the stations that have been on break and here we go, we’re gonna do the second half hour of Bibleline. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can, just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We’re back from that break and this is Bibleline and we’re excited it’s Friday and I’ll tell you the Lord is coming soon as you look out at the headlines.
My goodness. Wars and rumors of wars. We see that everywhere. And aren’t we constantly being told of the threat of terrorism and war and division. It also says that there would be race against race. Look at the race, racial division today. It’s amazing. I thought we were getting beyond that at one point and that we were over that. And there shouldn’t be any racial problems. But today, wow, it seems like it’s increasing. What are we doing returning back to where we were?
Here the Bible predicts that accurately Christ in Matthew 24 says that there would be Nation against nation wars and rumors of wars and there would be race against race and look at how that is happening Right now boy did Christ predict the future Accurately he told us that there would be earthquakes and diverse places and we’re constantly seeing more and more earthquakes in different diverse places of the earth it’s really amazing and There is an earthquake site where you can go and see how many there are every day.
It certainly seems without a doubt that the frequency and the magnitude of earthquakes is increasing all the time. Diseases, look at the problems with diseases today. We have more and more of the ancient diseases. the bubonic plague is around again. Tuberculosis, we thought we got rid of that. It’s around again today. Then we have, of course, the incurable things like AIDS and the Ebola virus and the West Nile virus and all these other things that are out there that are kind of scary.
And more and more, we’re finding out the Bible is right on what it said there would be these pestilences in the last days. I think we are going to see an explosion of even more than the smart germs that are in the hospitals but now have gone out of the hospital and they’re all over the place, the staff infections that are tough to kill, the most potent antibiotics we have. In fact, we’re just one antibiotic away from losing the battle because these things adapt and can defeat amongst any medication.
I know I got a staff action over a year ago and wow, they had to run the most potent killer antibodies through my body. For six weeks I had to intravenously sit and let these antibodies trip into my body for over an hour every day. For every day, seven days a week for six weeks until they finally said they killed this little bug in my body. But these things are bad and they’re hard to get rid of. And I thank God that I found it early and they were able to get it out of my body.
But these things are dangerous and they’re out there in the street now. You don’t have to go to the hospital to get them anymore. We’re living in the last days. These things are really incredible signs of the last days. And the fact that the Jewish people would be hated above all nations. Look at it. Today it seems like the hatred for Israel is growing and becoming worse. The Bible said exactly that. In Matthew 24, Jesus said the Jewish people would be headed above all nations for my name’s sake.
It’s happening, my friend. And so many other things that let us know that we’re getting close, especially nuclear weapons that we know that Armageddon will be nuclear. It’s really, I’m glad I’m leaving, aren’t you? Is a believer? I’d tell you, I’m glad that the Lord is going to evacuate us before that seven years of fibrillation follows. But then Christ will come back and establish peace on earth, control toward men. There’s a great ending. It’s a great story that is real.
It’s really going to happen. And Christ will finally defeat the nations and rebuke them, such that they will not learn war ever again. There will never be another war after Jesus Christ returns at his second coming. Isn’t that amazing? So I think we’re in the last days. I hope you’ve trusted Christ as your Savior and if you haven’t you need to. If you have been taught you can lose your salvation. You’re being taught wrong. Nowhere is the Bible say that.
Jesus said in John 6 37, Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. Beams. For no reason, under no circumstances, would Christ ever cast you out if you trust Him as your Savior? Isn’t that great? Some people say, well, He won’t cast me out, but I can cast myself out. You can’t even do that. John 639, Christ says this is the Father’s will that of all of which You have given Him is none. Ino and e-none, not one.
Not one. Not one. So you can never be lost. Or God is a liar. The Bible is wrong. If you could be, but Jesus said it was the Father’s will that not one person would ever be lost who became saved. Wow, I’m so glad I’m able to be with you today. I was reading a nice letter a moment ago and I said it across the room. So many wonderful sweet letters from different people that listen. I hope that you’re passing along to your friends, people last night responding from all over the country to our television programs.
We’re excited about what God is doing through Bible. You could be a help, you could send a gift by a credit card over the phone, you could send it by mail, we could sure use your help as we finish out September to have both feet on the ground as we enter the month of October. And we’re entering an exciting month, I believe Jesus was born in October, not December. We’ll be talking about that. this coming month and showing you the scriptures and why we believe that.
So keep listening to Bible and we’re going to go back to the phone lines. We’ve got a lot of all-fare questions. Maybe we’ll get some more of those and we find that we have Maryland or a Madeleine excuse me in Bradenton, Florida. Madeleine welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Pastor. This is Madeleine in Bradenton. I haven’t called in to say high-to-date people and in looseness and it was quite a while. I want to let you know what’s been going on in my life.
You baptized me last year with 41 other people. It was wonderful. I’ve been so great. I’m so glad to hear you all doing a second one this year. I’ve been out walking the neighborhood. I’m home without the rightist, but I walk every day when I can and I pass out to everyone I see a little. Am I going to heaven? Outputs. And it’s made my life a second question for you. Listen to the one to the mile to on the TV, left, pelvic.
How is he faster? Well, he wrongly divides the Bible. You know, he has the gospel right for this present hour, but he believes that prior to Paul, salvation was by works and the Old Testament, salvation by works. And that’s totally wrong. And that really is a blasphemy against Christ, because Christ paid for the sins of every man, woman and child that would ever be born from Adam and Eve on. But He teaches that between Peter and Paul, they were saved by turning from sin and water baptism.
Paul came along and this plan of salvation changed to just by grace. And of course we are saved by grace right now. to say that Peter taught a different gospel. That’s not true at all. Peter taught the same plan of salvation that Paul did and the Bible is in total agreement. So he’s really, I guess what I would call a hyper dispensationalist on my website where I have a book there by Harry Ironside. You can just read there on the left side.
It says online books called wrongly dividing. Well, Lesfeldic wrongly divides the Bible. He says that Noah was saved by building the ark, the Old Testament saints were saved by offering animal sacrifices. None of that is true. Hebrews 10 says, it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goods should take away sin. It was only through Christ’s death that sin could be taken care of. Christ paid for the sins of those in the Old Testament, those in the New Testament.
Abraham was saved by faith alone in Christ alone. He did not do any works to be saved. Paul in Romans 4 He says, what did Abraham find out concerning his works? He says, if he was justified by works, he’d have where of the glory, but not before God, only before men. And then it quotes Genesis 15 and 6 in verse 3 of Romans 4 and says that Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness. Abraham was saved by faith alone.
David was saved by faith alone. And nobody’s ever saved by any works. So, let’s follow because it’s wrong and it’s unfortunate. Yeah, that’ll lead me to the story then. Well, thank you for filling me in. I want to let you know too, I’m going to neighbor down the street walking and he’s going to pass the college. And he’s praying that it’s his job to start attending him. I said, he’s not sure. And I said, I’m going to ask God and he’ll show you the right direction for you.
haven’t seen him since but he he works out Well, Mark here in Bradenton on Cote’s Road and he said he saw a pile I put them in the mail box and development neighbors and he received one talking about the ministry and he said he sees a pile and when he goes into work in the afternoon I picked the Walmart there and I said well I’ll be a small world isn’t that great? It’s wonderful that’s great to get the gospel out there and it sure is a good feeling that we can get it out.
by knowing that we’re giving out this wonderful message of the gospel. You sure are. Thank you so much, all of you. I thank you, Madeline, and God bless you. We’re having you know, the baptism coming up in October the 21st, the third Sunday. We’ll have a dinner Sunday. If you want to come from a distance, we’d be happy to include you, and the baptism will take place at three in the afternoon on that day. So call us and get on the list, and we’ll be glad to accommodate you.
Madeline was a part of a group of 41 we’ve been times last year I guess so thank you for calling in we now have Benjamin in Clearwater Florida Benjamin Welcome to Bible in your own ear. Good morning, Dr. Han. My first question is in Act 2, Chapter 2, verse 3, the Holy Spirit when they opposed there and there was baptizers and they appear the turn of fire. easier up. approach to receive the tone of fire or everybody there the 120 people there I know they are everyone who received the also the tone of fire.
My second thing is if you have any book or material for the election and predination of what I can use, I would like to know if you have a Daskan de Matilda or a book like that, what I can use, I can buy or can go get or something like that. something like that because I’m very interested in the election and the prerestination. Alright. All right, very good. You’re welcome Benjamin and I’m going to add a book like that to our resource center.
Apparently we have a lot of interest out there for it. I do have a number of CDs where I go through the difficult passages and you can order some of those. But listen on the radio and I’ll try to mention it when I get it in here. I’m going to go ahead and add a good book that really does nail down predestination and election and refutes Calvinism as being wrong as we’ve been doing here on the air this week.
For sure you thank you for calling in Benjamin. If you’d like to call today, the phone number is 1-800-576-3771. The next chapter 2 verse 3, it says here appeared unto them, ploven tongues like as of fire. So there weren’t tongues of fire, but it was like fire in appearance apparently, and it sat upon each one of them. So there was a visible descent of the Holy Spirit upon the believers on the day of Pentecost. That has not happened since nobody today has that.
And also it says here, and the room here, it says there suddenly came a sound from heaven. Again, it says as of a rushing mighty wind, and the sound filled all the house where they were sitting. So there was a noise, and in other words by sight and by hearing, you knew something had happened here. And the Holy Spirit came upon all the believers, all 120. Benjamin received this experience the Pentecostals Called themselves this because they are trying to recreate what happened at Pentecost so The first ones there was one night in the Midwest And I think 1904 and then the one out in Azusa Street in California 1906 he’s claiming to be the beginnings of the charismatic Pentecostal movement and there they claimed they repeated Pentecost and the ones in the Midwest went up in the upper room of this farmhouse and they prayed through and they got the
gibberish and the one in California they got the gibberish but they didn’t have the visible sign of the cloven tongues of fire they didn’t have the sound of the Russian mighty wind Pentecost will never be repeated. This is why this is so crazy. The word pentecost means 50 days and we’re never going to be 50 days again from the resurrection. Today we’re probably a couple hundred thousand days since the resurrection and as Calvary will never be repeated. Christ will never die on the cross again.
That was a one-time payment for all eternity. So it is that Pentecost will never be repeated. That was a one-time event. It began this church age, and this church age will now be concluded by the rapture, which I believe will happen probably on the Feast of Trumpets whatever year that it occurs. And that again is a one-time event. It will never happen twice. And I hope that helps a little bit. We have Armando in St. Petersburg and Armando. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.
Good morning Dr. Limson. How are you? I’m doing good. You? Good. Thank you. I was listening to… Yes. We then showed we being by John Goodwin. That’s a really good book. Well, thank you for letting me know. I’m not familiar with it, but I’ll have to take a look. He is hard to find a hard to order but he is a really good book on that subject. Thank you, brother. I would also like to ask you about the program director.
Is he a Calvinist? He is a full Calvinist, yes. Okay. Because he is having a teaching a series on grace. But he teaches that, you know, Now he does and he adds works through the fifth point of Calvinism that you’ve got to persevere in order to be saved. And really it’s really wrong. I really believe he ought to rename his radio show Works to You rather than Grace to You because he in his series that he did the beginning of the year, he said that you have no choice at all.
God makes the choice for you. But if you don’t persevere and don’t have works, it will demonstrate that you were never given safe in faith. The Calvinist believes that you are saved first and then faith comes as a consequence. That is totally backward. The Bible teaches that if you believe you become saved and it’s at the point of belief you become safe. So they reverse it and it’s totally backward and John MacArthur definitely has a full five point Calvinist.
Okay, thank you, Dr. Polinstow. Okay, thank you Armando for calling in, and we appreciate that call. We have Bob and Newport Richie, and Bob, welcome to Bibleline Year on the Year. Well, yes, how you doing, Hank? Good. I just wanted to ask you a question. Are you familiar with the Shepherd’s Chapel Network? I’m not too sure that I am, but go ahead. Well, there’s this program that comes on, You know this paid programming channel called the Shepherd’s Chapel Network and it’s by someone named Pastor Arnold Murray I think his name is.
Oh yeah Arnold Murray believes you can leave your salvation and works for salvation. I wouldn’t want you to recommend you listen to him at all. Oh I have another question. I’ve got people. I keep getting in the mail. Well actually it’s sent to my father but I keep getting in the mail all these things the old plates of our lady of Fatima or something like that. And I heard some of those are heretical as that group. Oh absolutely, that’s apparently Mary appearing in Fatima in Portugal.
Fatima was the name of one of by the way, Muhammad’s daughters. Why in the world would Mary want to appear in a city in Portugal named after one of the daughters of Muhammad? You know Islam conquered Portugal and Spain and this is one of the cities that was named in honor of Mohammed’s daughter and supposedly Mary appeared there. That’s pure nonsense and Mary isn’t appearing anywhere and all these appearances have heard Guadalupe and Yugoslavia and all these different places.
That’s all not true. We had a kind of figure that. We had an appearance here in Clearwater Supposedly that Mary appeared on a bank window a few years back and people were there. I know, I heard that too and unfortunately I went down with my mother silly me. Well, a lot of people went lit candles and it became quite a sight. I think the bank had to sell because they couldn’t do business anymore. it became such like a shrine.
Something like this. Yeah. Well Bob, I’m glad you’re listening to Newport Richie and hope that helps a little bit. Oh, when you take care. Alright, thank you. Arnold Murray, no doubt about it. I have some tapes that people gave me and he teaches you can lose your salvation. That’s a major, major, major flaw. I’m very, very serious doctrinal error. That’s the first question you ought to ask in the church you attend. If they believe you can lose it, I think you need to find a new church.
Bible teaches that were eternally saved. Jesus said in Hebrews 13.5, I will never leave you and I will never forsake you. Those who teach you can lose it say that Christ will leave you. Then he will forsake you. And who are you going to believe? Are you going to believe you church or are you going to believe Jesus? Jesus said, I will never leave you. I think I’m going to believe Jesus. Don’t hurt you. And then he said, I’ll never forsake you.
I’m going to believe Jesus. He’ll never leave me. He’ll never forsake me. How do I know? Because he said so. And I don’t care what anybody else tells me. If Jesus said he’s never going to leave me, or forsake me, then definitely it’s forever. Well, very good. We have Joseph in Safety Harbor, leaves this offer a question. Please explain why Roman Catholics perform the last rites and why they are not necessary. Last rites is really a last mass being offered up for that person to take care of their sins just before they die.
Catholics believe their sins are paid in installments. Every time you get to the mass, your sins are forgiven up until that point. Then you’re in danger after you leave mass because you sin again during the week. If you die, then you can go to hell. They have the priests come and say the last rites which are right takes care of your sin debt right up until the time you die. In fact if you are killed on the battlefield I think the priest has three or four days that he has to get to the body before it is too late.
So they can come to your dead body on the battlefield and do last rites and take care of your last minute sins. That is all nonsense. The Bible says by one offering Christ that perfected forever them that are sanctified, Hebrews 1014. Christ offered one sacrifice for sins forever, Hebrews 912. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 1010 that by one sacrifice he paid for the sins of everybody in the whole human race, past, present and future, and all of their sins were paid for, past, present and future.
This is a completely false doctrine. The Mass is a works-based system of salvation. You have to continually go to the Mass. One lady called me up a few years back and she said that she was in dire straits. She was four years behind in her sins. And after what that meant, she said she hadn’t been to Mass in four years. So obviously she had a lot of catching up to do. That is craziness. The Bible says that when you trust Jesus, you are saved forever.
And I got saved when I was 18. I trusted Christ. I received eternal life. Still have it today and will forever have it. The Roman Catholic Mass is unscriptural. It is a blasphemy because it offers up Christ again a repeated performance of Calvary every time the Mass is offered. Ronnie in Oxford, North Carolina calls in, leaves this offer a question. He says, does the Bible speak against women pastors or preachers? And the answer is absolutely. Read if you will, 1 Timothy 2, verses 11 through 15.
It says there, I do not allow women to teach the Bible or do you serp authority over the men? It says that they are to be in silence. Corinthians 14 and verse 34 it says that your women keep silence in the churches. So that pretty much handles that I would think, Ronnie, and there are many, many more verses out there that are very, very good. One of the great books that was written, I don’t think it’s in print anymore, was the role of women in the churches by Charles Ryrie.
What a great book that was it. I don’t think it’s printed today because it was not well received by this modern day movement that wants to put women in the pulpit. So we’re in trouble today I think with where we are with everything. So hopefully that answers your question and again if you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior would you just say Lord I’m a sinner I don’t understand much but I trust Jesus right now as The one who died for my sins by his death and shed blood.
He paid for the most buried in Rosagan for the dead. I trust him right now as my Savior. The Lord saves all those who put their trust in Christ. And you can be assured of going to heaven and receive his salvation the moment you trust him. If you haven’t helped Bibleline, would you pray for us?
