I want to remind you that on the third Sunday, the 21st, we’ll have a dinner day here at Bible and Headquarters at the Calvary Community Church.

And we’re having a baptism. And if you’ve not been water baptized, since you’ve been saved as a believer, You ought to, you know, be used to Christ’s command, not to be saved, but as a testimony of how you’re cleansed of your sin by the blood of Christ. Infant baptism, nowhere in anybody’s Bible, not scriptural, not biblical. It is, it doesn’t count. Baptism prior to your salvation doesn’t count. If you have been saved and not been baptized since you have been saved, you need to be baptized by immersion.

a testimony of your faith. Christ has asked us to be baptized and we are going to be having one. So you’re welcome to join us. It will be outdoors in a small lake north of our facilities here. It will be at three o’clock in the afternoon on the 21st call in and you’re welcome to be included. I would be honored to perform your baptism for you. So we’d love to have you. Anyway, that’s a third Sunday day where you can come and enjoy dinner, of the best home cooked food in all the world.

And we hope that you’ll take up our invitation and come by and see us anytime you want. But the third Sunday is always a good Sunday to come. We’re going to get into the Bible and we believe that the Bible is the Word of God from cover to cover. I believe this is God’s holy Word and that it is inspired of God, infallible, inerrant in the original autographs that there is no perfect translation. But we believe we have a pretty accurate Bible today that our translations are pretty good.

And so we hope that you’ll open up your Bible and take a look with us at some of the wonderful scriptures that are there. We believe that we are living right now just perhaps seconds before the Rapture. I’m telling you we are close. The tribulation period that will follow the Rapture a seven-year period of the darkest hours at the planet Earth will ever experience is about to begin. It won’t happen until we are taken out. You know, in the Old Testament we have that picture prior to Sodom being destroyed.

Lot in his family which were saved had to be delivered. The angel said, we can do nothing until you are escaped from here. And so as soon as Lot and his family were escaped, the fire and brimstone rained down on Sodom. God cannot judge this world until we are taken out at the Rapture. We know just prior to the flood of Noah that Enoch was raptured out a picture of the Rapture of us. And once he was taken, the flood came.

And so on and so on throughout Scripture, there’s a picture there in type of what will take place. We’re going to be taken out, then God will bring his judgments upon this earth and God will prepare Israel for the future plan that he has for them. Is God done with Israel? Absolutely not. Turn if you will to Jeremiah. Chapter 31 Jeremiah chapter 31 you’ll find that God is not through Israel. The Roman Catholic Church teaches that God is through with Israel.

The Methodist, the Lutherans, the Presbyterians and the United Church of Christ and on and on on most Protestant denominations believe that God has replaced Israel with the church and that the church has replaced Israel and that Israel is done for. That’s not true. Let’s go back to Jeremiah 31 verse 35. It says, Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideeth the sea when the waves thereof roar, the Lord of Host is His name.

God says in verse 36 of Jeremiah 31, If those ordinances, that is of the sun, the moon and stars. Depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.” Did the sun come up this morning? Did you see any stars last night? You know, as long as that sun keeps appearing in the morning and at night you can see stars in the moon. God has not done with Israel.

God has not finished with Israel. That’s a pretty plain statement, isn’t it? Visibly we’re reminded every day as we see See that sun shining in the sky that God has not done with Israel. What has happened to the people who supposedly has the Bible as their textbook? Obviously they’re not reading it. Obviously if they do read it, they don’t believe it because God says as long as you can see the sun, the moon and the stars. God is not done with Israel.

Look at verse 37. This is Jeremiah chapter 31. Thus say of the Lord, if the heavens above can be measured, which they can’t, you know, We have seen quite a development here in our time with the modern telescopes and especially with the Hubble telescope. Every time you hear somebody talk about how great or how large or how vast the universe is, they keep giving us bigger numbers. The latest I understand is that the horizon of the universe is 4 trillion light years away.

Wow, that’s quite a distance, isn’t it? It means light traveling at 186,000 miles per second would have to travel for 4 trillion years just to reach the edge of the universe. Wow, that’s incredible isn’t it? You and I can hardly travel over 60 or 70 miles an hour, maybe 80 on the interstate. And can you imagine traveling at the speed of light for 4 trillion years and just arriving at the edge of the universe? an incredible distance and God says we can’t measure it.

It says here if the foundations of the earth can be searched out beneath we can’t. Men have dreamed about it but you can’t do it. Jules Verne who was a great science fiction novelist talked about in his book The Journey to the Son of the Earth. You saw people in the movie kind of walking down through a cave and going down deeper and deeper and obviously we can only go a short distance. There’s crust, averages between 8 and 12 miles in depth, and it’s floating on a liquid molten lava interior, extremely hot.

And that’s about as far as we can go. It’s just a little bit into that crust around the surface of the earth. We can’t measure up the foundations very far down into the earth. It says, if we could, God says, I will cast off all of the seed of Israel for all that they have done, say, of the Lord. God says, I’m not going to cast them out. If you could measure the universe, if you could search out the foundations of the earth, then God said I would cast away Israel, but I’m not going to do it because you can’t do that.

And as long as the Sun and the Moon and the stars are shining, I’m not going to cast off Israel. promises that he would never ever cast them out. Not great. Israel is being readied right now by being back in the land for the return of Jesus, their Messiah. We believe that right after the rapture the blinders will come off and millions of Jews will come to know Jesus as their Savior. Christ will come back and establish peace on earth, goodwill toward men.

An amazing feature is planned for the Earth. The deserts will blossom as a rose and the whole Earth will become a fruitful place. There will be no more war anywhere on the Earth. The nations will be rebuked and they’ll beat their weapons of war into weapons of peace and they will learn war no more. That’s right. There will no longer be any schools for training people for war. The Air Force Academy and the other military schools where people can learn more.

They just will not be around. There will be no more learning how to fight or how to have war. The earth will be at peace. Jesus will rule the earth from Jerusalem as the earth’s capital. People will visibly see Christ and will go up to Jerusalem to hear the word of the Lord. It tells us chapter 4 of Micah, in the last days it shall come to pass that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established.

That is Jerusalem, and the house of the Lord is the temple that will be rebuilt, I believe, right after the rapture, and will be cleansed by Christ when he returns. It says here that people shall flow unto it. Many nations shall come and say, come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord and to the house of the God of Jacob. That is the temple from which Christ will rule the earth. And he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths, for the law shall go forth out of Zion and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

That hasn’t happened yet, but that is going to happen, and that is exciting. He shall rebuke among many people and rebuke strong nations afar off, and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. In the context of this book, the book of Micah, the Prophet Micah in the Old Testament, it tells us that God is going to destroy all the people on the earth that do not know Christ as their Savior.

And here it describes the neighbors of Israel, which hate Israel, which obviously reject Jesus, and apparently they will all be destroyed. And their oil, their land, their riches will become Israel’s. And according to the Bible Israel will become the richest and most powerful nation on the earth during that time. Isn’t that amazing? So really, according to the Bible Israel no longer borrow money. Israel will be the lender throughout the Millennial Kingdom, the rule of Christ, and Christ will visibly rule here on the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

It tells us here that many nations, verse 11, are gathered against the Israel that say, let Israel be destroyed and let our eye look upon Zion. One of them you think of right now is Iran. A Bennet Job has said that he wants to get the nuclear weapon to blow Israel right off the map. An amazing to destroy the Jewish people in Israel. Will he accomplish that? according to the Bible, God is going to continue to protect Israel. If you read the following two verses, it says, what he is imagining for Israel will happen to him.

As all of those who do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will be destroyed by Christ at his second coming and their land will be vacated and it says, I will consecrate their gain unto the Lord and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth, Micah chapter 4. Chapter 5 gives us a backdrop from that point in the future which is still yet to happen and tells us about the one who would accomplish it all. The one that would be born in Bethlehem in Micah 5-2, it says, Thou Bethlehem Ephrata, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of these shall come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel, whose going forth have been from a hold, even from everlasting.

Jesus Christ is God, He is the only one who is from everlasting, and He would take on flesh in the city of Bethlehem. And this one, the Bible says in Micah chapter 5, would be great. And he would be the one that would eventually bring peace on earth. And he’s the one that would destroy all his enemies. And he’s the one that will establish a kingdom where there’s peace on earth, good will toward men. And Israel, the apple of God’s eye, will be raised up as the head nation over the whole earth.

to try to say that God is done with Israel is certainly not found in the Bible. It’s not found in the Bible at all, but only in the imaginations of those who have departed from the Bible and have assumed that they know better than what the Bible teaches. The Bible, my friend, is always right. It’s never been wrong, and you can count on it. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bibleline. I hope you know Christ as your Savior. Unless you do, when you die, you’re in for a big surprise.

Because without Christ, you cannot enter heaven. Without having trusted Christ alone, you cannot go to heaven. If you think that stopping your sinning or joining the church or being baptized or being confirmed or doing Anything else of self will get you to heaven or even aid Christ in getting you to heaven. You’re not saved. The trust Christ alone is the only means of reaching heaven apart from all works. The dying thief is a classic example. He could do nothing.

He was restrained. He was nailed to the cross. He was dying. He was getting down to the criminal. He simply looked to Christ and trusted him. And Jesus said, today thou shalt be with me in paradise. You too. like the dying thief could trust christ is your savior and received the wonderful gift of everlasting life on the current of the phone lines the phone number is one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one gives the call and will uh…

get you up on the air we have mark in tarpon springs florida mark welcome the bible on your near i think i think that or the work he’s doing through the night just as you believe. I believe that none of us, when we have accepted Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, none of us can be snatched out of his hand. My wife and I were reading Book of Revelation this morning, and I came upon chapter three, and when we were reading through that, he’d had over come with the same Shelby code in white Raymond, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life.

that will continue, will confess his name before my father and before his angels. Now, again, exactly as you say, we cannot be snatched out of the hands of God. I look at a couple of references, Barnes, Haley, look in the Scofield study Bible, purchased on Bibleline, thank you very much. And I couldn’t find any explanation for this verse. The only thing that I could see in a Zonerton study and a Zonerton Greek interlinear, it seems to emphasize by no means will I blot out the name.

And I’m thinking, is that just simply an emphasis that I especially will not blot out the name of he who overcomes? Is that what that’s intending there on that passage? Well the whole point is we have to define who an overcomer is. And the overcomer is anyone that has trusted Christ as their Savior. It says in 1 John, and this is where you need to make your cross-reference, in 1 John 5 4. It says, whatsoever is born of God is, let me just go over and read.

It’s just about two pages to your left here. But 1 John 5 in verse 4, it says, for whatsoever is born of God, overcome with the world. And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 is even clearer. Who is he that overcomeeth the world? Answer. He the belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. So when you become a believer, you become an overcomer automatically by virtue of what Christ did on our behalf.

Because he overcame death and overcame Satan, overcame the grave in the penalty for sin and death. We become overcomers by virtue of his doing that on our behalf. And so it’s really saying that everyone who is a believer will never have their name taken out of the book of life. Okay, so it’s not talking about somebody who is a victorious Christian, you know, living the living, towards Christian life or anything, talking about simply a believer. Every believer is included in Revelation three five.

And you will never have your name taken out of the book of life once you become a believer. If you’re an unbeliever and you die without Christ, your name is stricken at death. But otherwise, everybody’s name is in the book of life to begin with. And when you come to know Christ as your Savior the promise is made to you from that moment on that your name will never come out of the book So Everybody believer and unbeliever They’re all they’re all in the book because Christ died for everyone forgot.

So of the world He made provision for everyone to be safe So he put everybody’s name in the book with the Expectation that everybody would receive his gift of course, God knew that there would be those who would reject him and in the majority I believe do. But he’s saying here that when you become a believer, I make the promise to you that I’ll never bought your name out. So believers have their names retained in the book and they’ll never be erased or blotted out.

But the unbelievers will have their names stricken at death. So you have opportunity up until the day you die to remain in the book by trusting Christ your Savior and receiving the He died for every man, woman, and child that would ever live. So basically an overcomer is a believer. There you go. All these help and my wife and I didn’t know where I was going and we thought 15 minutes tinkle beyond. Very good. Well let me give you another one since you’re here in first time.

Look at if you will at verse 4. Verse 4 says, You are of God little children, and overcome them, which is the demons and Satan. And why have you overcome them? Because you are a great Christian, because you get a church and sing in the choir, because you help around the church. No. Because greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world. We’re overcomers because Christ dwells in us, the Holy Spirit dwells in us, and therefore we’re overcomers of Satan and of the demons and of the power of sin and death.

We’re going to go to heaven. Well, thank you very much for the answer. And again, I thank God for the work that he’s doing for you. May it be continually blessed. Well, thank you, Mark. And God bless you. Keep listening up there in the Tarpon Springs, Florida. If you’d like to dial in, the phone number is 1-800-576-3771. All right. We have a question here off the air. Samantha from Port Charlotte, Florida says, you believe Christ was born on October 3rd.

the answer is yes I do. Why do you and your family or what do you do on Christmas? I know that this is a pagan holiday. I’m not sure we should be partaking in the holiday. Any advice would be appreciated. Well, a lot of people are shocked to find out that I believe that Christ was born on October 31st. But we’ll somewhere in the next week or so go over all the scriptures and point out why. But Christ was definitely not born on December 25th.

That the birthday of Baal in the Old Testament, and when Christianity was declared to be the world religion by Constantine in the fourth century, the celebration of Baal’s birthday, which was prevalent throughout the world, all of a sudden became the birthday of Christ. They began to just switch names and continue the same pagan holidays. But I don’t think we’re ever going to change this tradition of December 25th. So I personally celebrate twice. And I believe that when you have this opportunity in December, it’s a great platform to share who Jesus is and what he did for us, and of course if you like, that it’s not the real birthday and point out why you believe he was born in October.

But nowhere in the Bible does it actually say the very birthday, but we do have hints that hint very strongly that Christ was born in the fall and he was probably born on the Feast of Tabernacles and he was probably born that year on October 31st. We’ll talk about that more. Thank you for the question. That is Samantha in Port Charlotte, Florida. Off here we have Carl and Carl says here in John 20 22 Jesus baptized his disciples to go and Go out and do all those things that he equipped them to do why did they get baptized again at Pentecost?

Well first of all he didn’t baptize them with water or with the Holy Spirit, but in John 20 22 He breathed on them and they received the Holy Spirit. It was a temporary indwelling to empower them, enable them to receive the teaching that he wanted to give to them those next 40 days. Christ was alive in his resurrected body for 40 days and showed himself alive and taught his disciples for 40 days, then ascended back to heaven and they were told them to wait 10 more days till the 50th day that they have 10 of cost.

When Christ would then baptize with Holy Spirit, and that was a placing of the believer in the body of Christ, there was never a baptism of the Holy Spirit prior to Pentecost. According to 1 Corinthians 12 verse 13, it is the operation of the Holy Spirit, whereby the Holy Spirit takes the believer at the moment of belief and places him into the body of Christ. The body of Christ, the living organism called the church, did not exist before Pentecost.

And obviously there would have been a church before Pentecost if you’re saying What you’re saying is true. That never happened. The only baptism occurred at Pentecost and every believer successively now that trust, Christ, and Savior is placed in that body by the baptism and Holy Spirit. Every believer experiences that and if you’re a believer, you have it. If you haven’t had it, you’re not saved. But all that believe received the Holy Spirit at the moment they believe and they permanently involves them.

And that’s another doctrine, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, where he involves us forever. But he is placing you into the Bible. the baptism of the Holy Spirit is something enjoyed by every believer during this age, and we are uniquely placed into a special body called the Body of Christ, which is also called the Church. We sure do thank you for tuning in. We are coming up real hard and fast here on our break. So let me just say thank you for tuning in.

This is Monday. Join us all week long. Tell your friends about the program and how you can catch it again later in the day as often as you like on the website by the line ministries.org.com. Also, we’re listeners supported if you want to help us maintain the station that you’re hearing us on and they continue by the line, your gifts would be greatly appreciated. You can mail one or you can give it by credit card over the phone and I hope that you will pray for us.

And if you can, give a gift to help by the line out. We’re going to take a break, we’ll come right back and do a second half hour So we want you to stay right with us here as we do the second half hour of Bible and don’t go away. I’ll be right back The Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771.

Well, I’m Dr. Heath Linsford and it’s great to be with you here on this Monday. Hope you had a great weekend and I hope that You are excited about this week and what we will be covering here on Bibleline. We truly are in the last days Israel is being turned against on every hand by not only the nations of the world but also even those who claim to be Christian which is so shocking and so unbiblical. It’s amazing to me.

The United Methodist Church has voted just a couple of weeks ago. There are 7.9 million members to boycott all companies doing business with Israel. And in a shame. They’re signing with the Palestinians over Israel. It’s all because of their Bampedeology, because they have rejected what the Bible has to say and have bought into what is called replacement theology that says that the church has replaced Israel and that God is through with the people of Israel. That’s not true. It says in Romans 11 1, have God cast away His people, which He foreknew.

Paul answers strongly there under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. God forbid. He says, absolutely not. God has not gotten rid of Israel. They have a future plan and God is going to, I think, very soon carry that plan out. Thank you for tuning in and I hope you are enjoying the program. Hopefully you are getting your questions answered. As I will ask, Coler found that he couldn’t get the help he needed out of the commentaries and out of the other helps, but called here and we were able to give him an answer.

How wonderful it is to be able to turn someplace to get an answer and to get a clear answer from the Bible. I know what it was like not to be able to have that as a young child and even after I first got saved. It was one of the things that got laid upon me. My heart was to get answers for people, to be ready as Peter says, to give an answer to every man that asks if you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.

We certainly need your prayers and need your support. If you would be willing to help us, it would be great. would be great. Your gifts to Bible and keep us on the air and without your gifts we may have to drop your area. We would hope that would never happen. But again, we are listeners supported if we cannot pay for the air time then we would have to go off the air. So don’t let that happen. Pray force and if you can give a gift, a generous gift if you would to Bible and help us stay on the earth.

I’m Dr. England Strimman. We’re going to return now the stations have been on break into the second half hour of Bible and so keep you ready to now tune right here and we’ll be right back for the second half in just one moment. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bible and it’s good to be with you.

It’s Monday. It’s exciting to be with you every day and we look forward to being with you. I hope you’re looking forward to being with us and we’re excited about how we’re able to talk to you and just kind of be able to converse about the Bible to many, many parts of the world. We have an offer here question coming up where it says somewhere. I forget what it says exactly, but they’re not in the United States. We have callers all over the country, but it says somewhere overseas.

So somebody overseas is calling in with a question or two. We’ll try to take a look at some of these things. In any case, we thank you for tuning in today. And again, we appreciate all of our listeners. We covet your prayers. We covet your gifts to the Bibleline. We are listener supported totally. We do not have any other means of support and if you could help us, it would be really appreciated very much. We have one lady that says that she gives one dollar every day to buy a blind one.

What a sweetheart. Every month she’s faithful. If it’s a 30 day month, she gives $30. If it’s a 31 day month, she gives 31. And we sure appreciate people who do that. If everybody gave a little bit, we would be able to take care of everything and maybe expand even much further than we are. But it’s amazing how God has kept us on the air and it’s a miracle really. It’s because of people like you who do care, who do appreciate the program, who do send in your gift to Bible and it keeps us going.

You can do that by mail. You can call in and ask for an envelope to be sent with our address on it. You can also call in and give a gift by credit card over the phone. While you’re asking, you can call in and ask for a resource sheet to take a look at the resources we have or drop by and see our resource center open every day till about 4.30 in the afternoon. Also you can go to the internet and there are internet online bookstores there and you can see everything we have in order right off of that online bookstore and also there is a place there where you can give a gift to Bibleen.

Did you know our TV shows are there our worship services are there that’s right? We webcast our sermon every Sunday live between 11 and 12 just go to our website Bible-lined Ministries not or g click on the camera and you’ll be connected to the worship service and We had a large group from all over the world watching yesterday. Now you can go back in archive and also see it as often as you like during the week. So right now we are up to 47 sermons that are there in archive on our website.

Would you check that out? BibleLineMinistries.org click on the camera then click on archives and you’ll be connected to that. We’re going to the phone lines now we have David in Hampton, Virginia I’m patiently waiting, David, thank you for your patience and welcome to my blood. You’re on the air. You’re on the air? Do you have a question, David? Yeah, I do. The question is, I wanted to ask you, what is the Bible saying? Can a Christian be lost? No, it could be.

No a Christian cannot be lost. David, because we’re not keeping our salvation. It’s the Lord who keeps us safe. It says in John 639 that Jesus said, this is the Father’s will that of all of which that you have given me, I should lose none. None. That’s not one. But raise them up again to the last days so you can never become lost because Christ is keeping you safe. What do the fathers say about it? You know, as far as one’s say you always say.

It says once you’re saved you’re always saved. That’s what it says. And if you are delinquent, God will thank you. You might wind up in heaven sooner than you planned on going there. But you’re still going to go to heaven once you trust Christ, you’re safe forever. So there’s nothing you can do to do at all. That is correct. In John 637, Jesus says there in John 637, him that cometh to me, I will in no wise. That means under no circumstance, in no case would Christ ever cast you out for any reason.

So he’s never going to cast you out. He’s never going to lose you. It’s quite clear that you’re stuck. You have to go to heaven when you like it or not once you trust Christ. But you’re going to give an account one day for how you’ve lived your life as far as reward the concern. And if you’re going to be delinquent, God will thank you. And in many cases, God will take you home to heaven sooner than you planned on going.

First Corinthians 10 tells us about 23,000 Christians that God took home in one day. So they went home sooner than they planned on going. So 1 Corinthians 6, 9, 2, 10, and all the ones that are supposed to be Christians, what are they following there? Well you’re talking now about a verse that you haven’t read far enough. 1 Corinthians 6, read verse 11, and such were some of you, but you are washed, you are sanctified, you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our So it’s telling us that those who are without Christ who have committed any of those sins listed in verse 9 and 10, and you’re listed in there too by the way, it talks about just being covetous.

Who has not been covetous? The business community depends on your being covetous. You go in the mall and you see all those displays in the window and they attract you into the story. You just got to have it and you go in and buy it. Well, the Bible tells us that such were some of you, but you as a believer are washed. You are sanctified, you’re justified in the name of the Lord. So it’s true. Without Christ, anyone who commits any sin, even a lie, would go to hell.

You just haven’t read far enough. And then verse 12 says that although we could do any of those things, it says it’s not expedient. And so really Paul is saying that I could do any of those things and I was still going to heaven but that’s not smart because God will discipline you. He might take you out of this world and to heaven sitting and you’re planning on going and you’ll suffer the loss of reward in heaven. So Paul said it’s not very smart to do that.

To live as you please, won’t you become saved? That would be stupid is what Paul is saying. And he says twice that all things are lawful unto me. In other words, I cannot be charged for the same crimes twice, Christ paid for all of my sins past, present, and future when he died on the cross, and now I’m not going to be held accountable for those ever again, and therefore I can never be sent to hell, but it’s not a smart thing to live as I please, because God will now spank me if I’m delinquent and also hold me accountable for reward or loss of reward at the Jesuit’s seat of Christ.

Okay, well I appreciate your answer and I will continue to search the script of each and every day And I appreciate it very much. Thank you. All right. Well, don’t don’t Wait too long if you believe you can lose it David you’re really saying that you have to work to get it You’re telling me if you believe you can lose it that from this point on until you die that if you live faithfully the Christian life you’ll go to heaven but if you don’t live the Christian life faithfully you’ll go to hell that’s works that makes you the Savior not Christ and that means you’ll not be saved at all and so a person who believes they can lose their salvation is really not saved because they’re trusting themselves to save themselves rather than Christ being the Savior.

We’re going to Jennifer in holiday Florida and Jennifer welcome to I’d like to ask you a question and then my question is about Joyce Meyer. Now I know she’s not doctrinally found and I don’t believe that women should be in the position that she’s in. But if you could please tell me where you get your information saying that she’s playing to not have sinned in 10 years and also that you can lose your salvation, I would appreciate that. That’s really easy.

Just go to Google, put in Joyce Meyer, and put in False Doctrine. And there’s a lot of people that have taken her quotes and lay them right out there for you. I did it in about three minutes the other day. Just type in Joyce Meyer and type in False Doctrine. And Google will give you about ten pages on her False Doctrine. And you’ll have it real quick. Thank you, Jennifer. And we’re now going to go to Tony in Richmond, Virginia.

Tony welcome to my blind you are on the air did uh… i’m very that’s right now okay we’re going to work in my father-in-law is a missionary and my father-in-law in mother-in-law missionary They were visiting this weekend. And I, you know… I guess in my pawling of questions about the faith that I worked is dead. My father, oh, I look up to in respect and, you know, is a spiritual leader of mine. He said that works. Preening salvation is not important, but works post salvation is very important and very scared right now.

not for me, but sort of like how to walk. He’s always referring to a lot of scriptures that fall right, especially the ones about the people that are falling, that people will fall away from the faith, giving easily false doctrine. And he’s always referring to the most scriptures that Paul refers to about running a race and keeping the faith and how these things. Can you just please kind of help me with that real quick? I will. You know, James too, and that’s where they get this faith about works is dead.

James is talking to believers. He’s not talking about losing your salvation. He’s not talking about getting salvation. He’s talking to people who already have salvation. He says, my brother and my brother and my brother and my brother and my brother and my brother and all the way through the chapter. And in chapter 2 verse 14, my brethren, what does it profit though? Man say he has faith and have not works. Can faith save him? Most people, their minds lock up and they think that means can work or faith without work save me from hell and they conclude the answer is no.

It’s not talking about being saved from hell. It’s talking about the judgment seat of Christ. Verse 12 says, So speak ye and so do ye as they that will be judged by the law of liberty. That is the law by which the Christians are judged at the judgment seat of Christ to determine the degree of reward or loss of reward in heaven. And what it’s saying in verse 14 is number one, what profit will you have? Salvation, without an exception, is always referred to as the gift of God.

It’s not a reward, it’s not profit, it’s not gain. Those things are earned and are actually deserved as a result of your labor. But salvation has been purchased by Christ and offered to us free as a gift and we simply receive it, reaching out with the hand of faith in taking the salvation that God offers to us. But James is talking about will you be saved from the embarrassment, from the tears, from the ashamedness, from the disappointment, from the loss of reward you’re going to find out that you’ll have if you don’t have any works because you will not escape the consequences of the judgment of the city of Christ.

The whole chapter is not talking to unsaved people about how to get saved or save people about how to keep their salvation. It’s not even talking about salvation from hell. It’s talking about being saved or delivered from the consequences of the judgment called the Judgement of Christ. 1 Corinthians 3, 11 through 15, describe that very good where all of our works one day will be examined and it will be examined by fire. Now in Corinthians when it talks about that judgment in 1 Corinthians 3 15 it’s fantastic because it tells us even as if you had no works like James is talking about, salvation is not in jeopardy.

It says if any man’s work shall be burned, let’s say everything you ever did in your whole life was burned up. You had no works worthy of reward. It says that you would suffer loss but yet he himself shall be saved yet so as by fire. So it’s saying you’ll still be saved even if you had no works. But James is saying you won’t have any reward. You’ll be saved but you’ll have no reward. And that’s what James is warning about.

And you will not be saved from those consequences if you don’t live for Christ. So James is talking about rewards, not about how to be saved or how to keep your salvation. That’s all done by God. That’s a gift. But rewards are based upon works. Hope that helps a little bit. and i think our caller has uh… got off the line but you know we’re not going to go to maryland in largo florida Hello, I have a question for you.

I read a lot of books by Billy Graham and in this particular book it says the moment we repent of sin and turn by face to Jesus Christ we are born again. And according to the Bible we need water baptism so I’m a little lost and confused. Can you elaborate on that? sure can of course that that is wrong that whole uh… line that you read there isn’t wrong i don’t know who wrote it hope but grand didn’t but that’s incorrect uh…

first of all repent means change your mind we spent all last week talking about that and you change your mind about how you’re saved you’re not say about baptism you’re not say about works You’re not saved by church membership, you’re not saved by confession or… NASA or penance or anything else were saved by Christ. So when you change your mind about how you become saved and trust Jesus alone, God saves you. That’s it. Bottom line, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and also be saved.

After we become saved, then we have the power of the Holy Spirit within us to have victory over sin. And yes, we ought to be water baptized. We just announced at the beginning of the program today we’re having a baptism and inviting any listeners that do not have a church home where they come to be. be baptized, that I would be honored to baptize them by immersion as a testimony of their faith in Christ and how they have been cleansed by the blood of Christ and not by water.

But Waterbabs doesn’t say so that book is wrong and that statement is wrong. Just read your Bible and you are going to be far better off. Okay, thank you very much. Thank you for calling in that was Maryland in Largo, Florida. We now have Monica and Monica is in Deltona Beach, Florida. Welcome to Bibleline. Good morning Dr. Hank. Thank you so much. Dr. Hank, one day last week a woman called in asking about James Dobson and I remember that you said that he does many good things but then the matter of the patient came up and I just want to make sure that I understood you correctly.

So could you repeat what you said about that? James Dobson is Nazarene in doctrine and as a Nazarene he believes that you can lose your salvation and you have to live your Christian life out faithfully to the last day you die to make it into heaven. Unfortunately that is works and I sure would like to see James Dobson in heaven but if that’s what he believes there’s a chance he’s not saved. So I don’t keep the Lamb’s book of life but what he’s saying is that he has to keep living faithfully every day to make heaven one day and that is wrong.

There are a lot of people that look like Christians, talk like Christians and certainly are wonderful people as humans but as long as they trust in their works they are not going to get in. Jesus said in Matthew 7, many will say to me, Lord look at what we did, why we preached in your name, we healed in your name, we did many wonderful works in your name, and of course that’s the wrong answer. So Christ says in verse 23 of Matthew 7, I never knew you, depart from me, you either work iniquity.

The correct answer is, Lord, I could do nothing to save myself, and I trusted in your death and shed blood as the only means of my salvation, and the completed and finished work of Christ was sufficient to save me eternally, and I I need nothing else. But that’s… But you know what, then I don’t understand what all the controversy is on television about Fred Thompson. You know, where Dr. Dobson is questioning his salvation, I think it is. So maybe I’m confused about that, but you know, there’s so much controversy about that right now.

I know. This is an age of confusion, isn’t it? And I think the Satan is the author of that confusion. He’s got a lot of people where they just say I just don’t even listen anymore and I don’t pay attention anymore They’re so confused. They just don’t want to even bother And so they turn their minds off and I think the devil is really enjoying that where we just Quit looking it’s like the guy who kept hearing about how smoking was wrong He read all these articles about smoking and and every time he saw an ad that had Things that told him not to smoke he finally gave up reading Okay, well could I ask just one quick question also, Dr.

Hank? Yes. In Act 12-7, that explains how God sent an angel to rest you Peter. Now my Bible goes to further explain that angels are God’s messengers and that of course they are divinely created beings with soot they sometimes take on human appearance in order to talk to people. And of course it does also explain that angels should not be worshiped because do they appear as people on the surface? Well believe it or not angels always appear as men and there are no angels with wings and there are no female angels, there are no baby angels, angels don’t have sex, they don’t have babies and they’re all male, yeah they always appear as men.

So our traditional view of an angel with wings is totally wrong. nowhere is about a lot of people stand but i’m i mean are you saying that uh… on the earth right now that like you could be an angel talking to me right now that’s not true we as believers never become angels we become as believers higher than the angels angels are created beings that were created at the creation of the universe uh… the same time the earth was created and have uh…

He was always been around. A third of them followed Satan under the fallen angels and they’re condemned to go to hell one day. But angels, you and I will probably never see one in our lifetime. They appear very sparingly through history. You see them in the early pages of Genesis several times. There were two angels that went into Sodom and destroyed it. They were mistaken for men. The men of Sodom wanted to rape them because they didn’t realize they were angels.

They realized that in about 24 hours they were going to be toast as a result of those two men that they wanted to rape. They were really angels. And when angels appear wherever they appear as men in Acts chapter 1, you see two men standing there in shining garments that were announcing that the Christ that they saw I said unto heaven was the same one that would come back in a second coming in the same manner and they were addressed there as men.

So angels appears men, yes. Okay, I understand that. But I mean, I think the question I’m trying to get at is that, I mean, do you think they really, okay, hire an angel? That’s true. And in this day and age, do angels come to our rescue? that we might not, you know, see them as angels. I think you might see angels might come to your rescue, but I don’t think you’ll ever I think.

know it or be able to see them. I think that God will dispense as many angels as necessary. I believe in Hebrews 113 it says that they are guardians to those that are heirs of salvation. So we have angels watching over us. I truly believe that. But I don’t expect to ever see an angel. And if you see another human being, they’re a human being. Don’t ever buy into That’s an angel and don’t try to contact angels the Bible forbids that you’re not to pray to any spirit being Not any departed saints or to pray to angels That’s a demonic area and you get yourself in the trouble when you do that Satan will certainly then play on that and lead you astray.

So you don’t even want to try to contact angels Thank you so much for clarifying everything as you always do you thank you Monica and God bless you in deltina Beach, Florida We now have Anonymous in Texas and Anonymous. Welcome to my outline. Yes, good morning. Have a question. I know there’s been a lot of discussion this morning about salvation and work. It is a very heavy topic. So is there a distinction between law and grace and what those shall not see life mean in John 3 36.

Also, I read a quote recently and I don’t remember who it was from. It said true believers are characterized by faith that is repulsed by the life of sin as it is attracted to the mercy of the Savior. So if we truly in salvation trust in the Lord, which is true salvation, but the Lord means He is Lord, getting Him Lordship, which means rendering to his authority. So doesn’t that mean that through that space, that conversion that there has to be righteous living?

No, that’s somebody writing that. It doesn’t come from the Bible. The Bible teaches that once you trust the Lord you’re saved. But then you have a free-wool choice to go in either direction. A lot chose as a believer to go away from the Lord and wound up living in Sodom and his life wound up in ruin. He wound up living in a little cave in Zor and his two daughters getting him drunk and having a child by him. That was, nobody names their little kid lot because obviously he’s not a mentor.

But obviously we should go in the other direction because it’s to our benefit to liver Christ and enjoy his blessings and enjoy the rewards that he has for us. that no, that is not necessarily true. Once you become saved, you are saved forever, that is a work that has been finished by Christ at the cross. But now, yes, we should live for Christ, but you can choose to go the other direction. If you read the two Corinthian letters, obviously most of those people are going in the wrong direction.

These were two lengthy letters to correct them, and try to warn them about getting back on the path because there would be consequences, there would be God’s discipline. And also the loss of reward one day when they stand before the Lord at the Joseph’s seat of Christ. So what does it mean in John 3 36 then? You will not see life. It means you’re going to hell. And John 3 36 is talking about unbelief. It says, neither believe it on the Son has everlasting life, but he to believe that not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abiteth on him.

So he’s not going to ever see Christ and live with Christ Christ’s life. He’s the way the truth in the life. And they’re never going to live in the presence of Christ. Christ, they’re going to live in eternity and help. If you reject Christ, it’s belief and unbelief there. It’s those who believe versus those who don’t believe and those who believe have eternal life, those who do not believe will go to help. Doesn’t there have to be some proof?

I guess. God doesn’t need any proof. If you trust Christ, He knows it. And if you don’t live for Him, then you’re suffering the loss of His blessings in your life. How to run this and keep living.
