We look forward to being with you every day Monday through Friday as we come to you live from our studios right here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church.

And we’re excited about being with you today. Today is Tuesday and we look forward to being with you for the rest of the week. And hopefully you’ll be tuning in and telling your friends about the program. By the way, you may have friends all over the United States and maybe outside of the country, maybe somewhere else on the planet Earth. Well, if they have internet access, they can catch Bibleline wherever they are. Would you tell them? Would you email them?

Would you let them know? BibleLineMinistries.org. BibleLineMinistries.org. You can listen and watch. When I was in Israel in March, I was able to go to my website and pick up the morning worship service right there in my hotel in Jerusalem. Isn’t that amazing? And so wherever you are, I could listen to Bible and radio. And of course, we also were broadcasting our Bible and radio show from Israel when we went. Looks like we’re getting closer to a final decision on going to Israel.

It’ll be trip number 15 for me. It looks like we might leave at the end of February and come back at the end of the first week in March. So We’re trying to get it finalized. We’ll let you know very shortly. But if you want to go, you might want to get on my perspective list. Those that are interested in going, we have quite a group that want to go and we’ll let you know the fine details on what it will cost.

Excuse me. Just call the 800 number, 1-800-576-3771. Let our operators know you’re interested in Israel. It doesn’t obligate you at all, but definitely will keep you informed as probably in the next week or so we’ll have a definite itinerary and departure date, return date, and price. So you can join me on trip number 15. We had a wonderful trip last this past March and we look forward to leaving a little earlier at the end of February and coming back at the end of the first week in March.

Love to have you go with us. The third Sunday of this month is a dinner Sunday, as it always is, but we’re also having a baptism. We have quite a few people that want to get baptized. If you have not been water baptized since you have been saved, you need to do that. If you would like to have us include you and baptize you with our group, you’re welcome and I would be honored to do that. That will be at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.

If you’re coming from a distance, you can make it a day. at 9.15, join my adult study, come at 10.30, join the worship service, stay then for lunch or dinner and be my guest, just enjoy the dinner and stay. And then we’ll be having the baptism at three. So you can make it a full day, call in for information or to get your name on the baptism list. And we hope that you will be a part of that. the 21st of October at 3 in the afternoon, come at 10.30 for the morning worship, stay for lunch, be my guest, and then go ahead and plan to stay for the baptism.

If you have not been water baptized since you have been saved. A lot of people have been baptized as infants, and there’s no such thing in the Bible. That doesn’t count. Obviously, water baptism doesn’t save anyone, but every believer ought to be baptized in obedience to the Lord, There’s always a blessing when we’re all beating to the Lord and we give testimony to the fact that we’ve been cleansed of our sin by the blood of Christ. What can wash away my sin?

The sin of the hymn writer wrote, he said nothing but the blood. Only the blood of Christ could wash away your sin and water is simply ceremonial. It is a picture of how we’re cleansed of our sin by the blood of Christ. We’d love to have you call in today, the numbers 1-800-576-3771. We have already callers from South Carolina and other places. We’d love to have you on the list. We also have a lot of welfare questions. We’re going to try to get to them.

I hope we can do that. And please be patient with us if you’ve left an unfair question. This again is by the line. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church. We’re on the pastor. We’d love to have you come by during the week and visit our Resource Center or come by on a worship day. By the way, our worship center can be a rather our resource center can be seen on our website.

You can go there and look at our online bookstore and you’ll see everything we have. Also, you can go to the website and catch our worship services. We have 48 now there just four more Sundays and we’ll have a years worth of sermon sitting there waiting for you to view and listen to That’s exciting plus all of our resources are on the resource part and we have Bibles the Scofield Bible, which is so great a lady the other day came by she had gone to the bookstore and they sold her the Bible the Scofield number three, which is terrible that they have just destroyed the night notes in that Bible and and you’re just really getting cheated.

The old Schofield is the only one we have here, and that is the 1909 and 1917 edition where the notes have not been watered down or tampered with. The newer one has lots of notes they’ve added. They don’t let you know that they’re not but not their Schofield. Many of those new notes I totally disagree with. They have tampered with it. It’s no longer Dr. Schofield’s notes. It’s somebody else’s notes. and who knows which or which unless you do a careful study with the 1909 in one hand and this Scofield number three in the other hand.

Be careful. I’ll tell you the devil is clever today and he certainly wants to rob you of a good study Bible and the old is better in this case. New is not so good and that’s true of a lot of the books that are coming out nowadays. They’re light and fluffy and not much substance and many times fill with error, whereas sometimes the older books are better where the doctrine was more sound as at a time prior to now, which is, of course, the end times when apostasy would rule.

If you have your Bible there, we’ll take a look at a couple of great verses here, and We want to turn in our Bibles to 1 Thessalonians chapter 1 and we find here in verse 10 it tells us that we are not going to go through the tribulation period. As believers we are going to be raptured out before the tribulation or pre-tribulation. Prior to the tribulation will be raptured out. Notice what it says in 1 Thessalonians 1-10 we are to wait for his son from heaven.

stop. If you were to go through any part of the tribulation, then it couldn’t read that way. It would have to read that we’re waiting for the tribulation so that then Christ would return and we would go to meet Him. Well, that isn’t what it says. The next event on God’s program is clearly Christ’s return. It says here, and we’re to wait for His Son from heaven who be raised from the dead, even Jesus which delivered us from the wrath to come.

We have been delivered and in the context of this book the wrathor is the tribulation period. It says here that he has noticed delivered us from the wrath which is to come. We are to wait for his son. That is the next event on God’s program. When you go over to chapter 5, 1 Thessalonians, it tells us here that the believer can actually know when Christ is coming pretty close. It says we can know the times and the seasons.

I think we’re there. And it says here, yourselves know perfectly, verse 2, that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. Many people get this wrong. they say, see, he comes to the thief in the night so you don’t know when he’s coming. It says though in verse 4, which most people miss, but you brethren are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief. Yes, as far as the world is concerned, they’re going to be surprised.

Christ will come at a moment when they don’t expect him, but the believer ought to be waiting, watching and looking for the return of Christ and knowing that his coming is very near. of the things that you can look for as we approach the Lord’s return, and a lot of people teach that there are no signs for the Rapture. I used to buy into that, but I don’t believe that because verse 3 tells us one of the signs of the Rapture.

It says, when they, the unsaved world, those that don’t know Christ, verse 3, shall say what? Peace and safety. Then sudden destruction come upon them as travail upon a woman with child and they shall not in other words. The talk in the world would be about finding a way to find peace. And boy, are we in a mess today with the threat of nuclear weapons. And apparently, it seems like from what I’m reading that it looks like Iran is going to be struck.

Already we’ve made an alliance with some of the countries of NATO and we’ve already gotten clearance to use their land to launch. Israel has been given a green light and apparently Iran is going to be hit soon to take out their nuclear program. And by the way, they are talking about using full blown nuclear weapons to do it. Conventional weapons are going to work apparently because they are buried deep in the sand, in the earth beneath Iran’s surface there.

there, and so to take them out it will require nuclear weapons. And so, wow, for the first time in a half a century or more, weapons of mass destruction will probably be used to get rid of the nuclear program in Iran. These are scary days. If I didn’t know the Lord, I would be very, very troubled. And the Bible is saying here that we don’t have to be trouble as believers because our confidence is in the Lord. Look at verse 18 of the previous chapter.

It says, wherefore comfort one another with these words. Before the darkest hours come on this world, the tribulation period, Christ is going to shout and we’re going to be caught up verse 17 of chapter 4 alive and will be caught up up and transformed into our new bodies as we will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the ear, and so shall we ever be with the Lord, and the Bible says, wherefore comfort one another with these words.

When the world is saying peace and safety or peace and security, then sudden destruction comeeth upon them as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape. I personally believe the Antichrist comes out of the United States of America. One of the interesting things that tells us in Revelation 13 about the Antichrist is that the people on the face of the earth will be afraid of him. It says that they will say, the nations will say, who is able to make war with him?

Can you imagine if we strike Iran with real nuclear weapons and take out their program, The world will sit back and say, wow, who can make war with the United States? And I believe the Antichrist will be in power when this takes place. I think we’re getting close. And apparently, plans are being laid to take out Iran, which obviously is a necessary thing because, wow, if they ever get the nuclear bomb, the whole world has got lots of problems.

In any case, I love verse 4 here in 1st Thessalonians 5, verse 4, it says, You brethren are not in darkness, but that day, that is the tribulation period, that that day should overtake you as a thief. It says, We are, or you are children of light and children of the day. We are not of night nor of darkness. So as believers, we can know when Christ is coming back. not the day of the hour, but we can know pretty close when Christ is returning, and we can be watching and looking for that return, and knowing that we can be comforted by that as we see the world getting worse and worse by the day.

We find over in Timothy, in 2 Timothy chapter 3, it says, evil men in the last days will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. Boy, I think we are seeing the headlines reflected today in that evil men in power. And obviously we are living in a time that if I didn’t know Jesus, I would be very concerned about. But because I’m Preston Christ, I know I’m a child that has the word of God and God enlightens us as believers so that we can understand what it’s saying and that we can know approximately when Christ is returning, we can be comforted by that and know that we’re not going to go through this time of wrath.

It says here, when they, the unsaved world, will say, peace and safety, then sudden destruction come up upon them. I want you to go with me to Isaiah chapter 13 for just a moment and notice how the language is exactly the same. It’s talking about the tribulation period and the return of Christ back to this planet and it says over here in Isaiah 13. In verse 6 it says, Howl Ye, for the day of the Lord is at hand.

It uses that same phrase in 1 Thessalonians 5, the day of the Lord. And it says here, Howl Ye, for the day of the Lord is at hand. It shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. If you’ll notice 1 Thessalonians 5-3, it says, When they shall say peace and safety, then sudden destruction come up upon them. Notice the language is the same. This destruction comes from the Lord. It’s a pain. period of destruction and wrath that will come upon the earth.

It says in verse 9 of chapter 13 of Isaiah, Behold the day of the Lord cometh cruel both with wrath and fierce anger. What did we read about in just a moment ago in 1 Thessalonians verse 10 of chapter 1, were to wait for his son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from what? The wrath to come. This time of wrath, this time of destruction, this tribulation period will come suddenly on the earth and catch them by surprise like a thief in the night.

But we as believers will not be taken as a thief. We have the scriptures to let us know approximately when. Then it says here in Isaiah 13, it says that they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth. Here we read in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 and verse 3. It says, this time of sudden destruction will come upon them as travail upon a woman with child and they shall not escape. The language is almost identical. It is talking about the same event in Isaiah chapter 13 that we are reading about in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5.

Wish we had more time to talk about that. I’ve done a complete series on this wonderful doctrine of the Rapture where all of these passages are covered in great detail. You can order that CD series and that is available if you just call in and ask or look on our online bookstore. Also we have the book of Revelation, verse by verse. And we’re in a very exciting time when believers need to be familiar with these passages so that we are not surprised by the Lord’s return.

I’m Dr. Englunds from we’re going to go to the phone lines. We welcome you to call us at 1-800-576-3771. We have our first caller, Adnetta, in Georgetown, South Carolina. And welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Good morning. I have a scenario and just kind of trying to get familiar. If a Christian woman, the Bible tells the Christian woman if Mr. Husband all things, and the Bible that we ought to date God whether or not he is. Myself as a Christian woman, feels that my husband was the 10-e church that is more of tradition and not what I’ve been taught, not a soul-wanted church, and I feel that it’s in direct violation to Colossians 2, 4, 2, 9.

What do I do? Well, if you are, if he’s asking you to go to a, to an apostate church, a false church, and certainly you need to really just appeal to him and say, look, let me share with you why we shouldn’t go there. But the Bible says that you’re to obey your husband and children also to obey your parents in the Lord. So if you’re asked to do something that is kinder to scripture, God doesn’t expect you to do that.

If your husband asks you to lie, you’re not to lie. If your husband has to steal, you have to steal. And so on and so on. So only as within the confines of scripture, if you are asked to do something unscriptural, then you have a reason to tell him, I don’t believe that I should do this and you should be asking me to do this because it would be wrong. So I think that might help you a little bit.

But is your husband saved? When my husband’s profession is a procession, he’s been called to preach where we act. It’s not a soul-winning church in the area. And we’re trying to start a soul-winning ministry with a traditional type church. And so… Well, we sure pray for you. I think that you need to sit down with him and tell him your concerns and tell him that you would really appreciate if you would consider putting into the mix there, your desires there to have a God fearing Bible teaching soul-witting church and see if you would not.

Try to accommodate you in that because as a believer he should also want the same thing. Yes, and that’s the problem that he is contrary. He doesn’t seem to have a problem with it. And so then I said well it’s not a church in this area that I can go to that’s not an influential enough some teachers from the word about some with it from the time that I’ve been saying that I’ve been taught. Amen well sometimes you have to drive a great distance or look a great.

deal to find a good church because they’re becoming more rare and we just have to trust the God that he’ll meet those desires that you have to please him and I’m sure he will. Just keep praying and sit down and have an honest heart to heart talk with you. I was going to see if he can’t come on the same page with him. Okay, man. Bye-bye. Thank you, Anetta, in Georgetown, South Carolina. The phone number here is 1-800-576-3771. We have now Tony in Richmond, Virginia.

And Tony, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hello Dr. Lindstrom. Good to talk to you as always. Hey, I was looking at the website that you guys have and I just want to encourage all the listeners listening to the program to visit that website and click on those articles and just take a look at some of those articles that you guys have up there. Put them out, read them. The experts are the scriptures and there’s a lot of the questions that here have been to be answered right there on the website and it’s really a blessing to have that up there to read.

So one of the experts that are listening to that will also have a question really quickly is if you could explain with scripture, somebody has explained to me that when we are calling to meet the Lord in the air and it doesn’t necessarily mean that we’re going back to It just means we’re going to meet the Lord in the air and that they kind of use that as a separation of relation because we are living in great tribulation. It’s not the state period of time that it is great tribulation, not the great tribulation.

You’re just playing that. Mr. St. Pete, thanks Dr. P. Okay, thank you very much. You know, we are truly living in a time where there’s a lot of confusion out there. The rapture is the next event and then the tribulation period which is also called the Day of the Lord. The Day of the Lord is an expression that in the most technical sense means a thousand year day, the day that Christ will bring peace on the earth for a thousand years.

It’s a thousand years of length but you’ll find that in the broader sense it includes the seven years that precede it, that are really the last seven years of the Old Testament It still has to tick off the clock. God’s clock for Israel and his plan for his earthly kingdom was put on hold when Christ died. The clock stopped ticking. Daniel chapter 9 tells us it would be a big interval between the death of Christ and then his second coming.

That interval now has lasted about 2,000 years. As soon as the rapture happens and God has concluded his plan for the Gentiles, the church age in which we are presently living, then the last seven years of the Old Testament age will take off the clock. It is called Daniel’s 70th week. It is a week of years. It is the 70th week. 69 weeks of years were fulfilled as the prophecy brought us right to the death of Christ. It happened exactly to the day when an amazing prophecy that gave us a prophecy not to the birth to the death of Christ and then tells us right after Christ’s death that the temple in Jerusalem and the city of Jerusalem would be destroyed which is exactly what happened in 80-70.

Now we’re waiting for that clock to start ticking off the last seven years. That’s the tribulation period. The last three and a half years of that tribulation period are the greatest years or the most horrific of the Tribulation period and it’s called Great Tribulation. So the whole seven years is called Tribulation, but the last three and a half years is Great Tribulation. And we’re not going to go through any of it. As we just said today in 1st Thessalonians 1 10, we’re to wait for his son from heaven, which is delivered us from this time of destruction, this time of wrath that comes from the Almighty, according to Isaiah 13.

And when the people are talking about peace and safety and work caught out, then that will come upon the Thank you for your call. We now have Clinton in Memphis, Tennessee. Clinton, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. I, uh, how you doing today? Good. I know it’s off the subject, but I had a guy come to my house last night. I had to convince me that water paps his face and I told him that I told him that I was and everyone would get baptized, but everyone wouldn’t be baptized just to get to heaven.

Could you elaborate on that one? Absolutely, you know, in 1 Corinthians 1, chapter 1 verse 14, Paul says, I thank God that I baptized none of you. Now, Paul was concerned about souls. He weft over lost souls and if what about this is more necessary for salvation Paul would be saying I thank God that none of you are saved and then also in 1 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 17 Paul says Christ sent me not to baptize but to preach the gospel well if baptism were essential to salvation How could he ever say that he’s saying that Christ didn’t send me to baptize me sent me to preach the gospel the gospel is what saves and And baptism is one of the two ordinances that God has given to the church.

Always remember the dying thief. He was never baptized, but yet saved. And I tell these people to teach that, that if they’re trusting in baptism plus Christ, they won’t be saved at all. Because you have to trust in Christ and Christ alone. If you had any works, you will have no grace. We covered that yesterday, I believe, in Romans 11, 6. If you’re saved by grace, then it’s no more of works. And water baptism is a work. And if you trust in any works you’ll have no grace.

Romans 11-6, take a look at that. I’ve got to go to break, but thank you for that call Clinton from Memphis, Tennessee. We’ll take a break and come back and do a second half hour. If Clinton wants to hold on, he can, but we’ll come back and do a second half hour. So don’t go away. Keep your radio right where it is and we’ll come back and do any second half hour and maybe get your question. Don’t go away.

Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. 3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Englund from Mrs. Bibleline and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church. It’s really exciting to be with you every day and we look forward to it and I hope you look forward to being with us. Thank you all of you who pray for us. Thank you for the nice notes and cards and letters that tell us about how much Bible I mean to you.

We are just encouraged every time we read one of those notes and know that we are touching your life out there with this program. And of course it is really the Word of God because the Word of God is living in powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. It is the Bible that has the power to open your understanding and to bring you peace and enjoy, and of course if you are unsaved to bring you life, eternal life, which comes by trusting Christ as Savior.

We are excited about what God is doing through Bibleline. We want to welcome those new listeners in different areas, and we are getting calls really from all over. People listening on a live air broadcast or people listening on the Internet. I hope you are taking advantage of that Internet because you will be able to catch us anytime of day anywhere in the world 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, I hope that you will take advantage of the Internet and we hope that you will.

Again, I’m Dr. England Strimmon. We are listener supported. If you want to help us financially, that would be great. You can do it in several ways. You can do it by giving a gift by credit card over the phone. You can also do it by calling in and asking for an envelope to be be sent with our address on it and mail that gift in the Bibleline. You can also go online to our online bookstore and there’s a place there that you’re able to give the Bibleline.

But we could certainly use your help. We just have stretched ourselves very thin because we want to get the gospels out as far as we can because we believe the time is running out and we need your help to be able to accomplish that great mission. gift. We’re sure that we’re able to continue these programs and we do thank you for your prayers and for your gifts and we trust that you’ll give us a call on that 800 number and you can talk to our operators about giving a gift.

If you want that envelope sent to you, just tell them. Give them your address a million envelope with our address on it and you can mail us a gift here to Bible on. Also, we have some great resources in our resource center that really do help. We have a People tell us all the time they go to their commentaries and other things and they still don’t get an answer and they come here to Bibleline. The things that we have will really help you.

We’re gonna rejoin stations that have been on break and do the second half hour of Bibleline. So don’t go anywhere. Stay right here. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bible and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. From our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor, you’re always invited to come by and worship with us.

You’re invited to come by during the week and visit our resource center. You’re just invited and many people come by every day and we enjoy getting to meet our audience. If you want to come out and worship me, you certainly may. And again, we have on our third Sunday a dinner, which makes it nice. You can come from a distance and then have a great time of food and fellowship with us and be our guest. As a guest, we invite you to stay for that dinner and be our guest and just eat up and enjoy the food and fellowship.

But this time, this month, the 21st of October, we’re also having a baptism. If you have not been water baptized since you have been saved by immersion, I would be delighted to be the one to do that. I would be honored to have you come and we will baptize you. Call and get your name on the list. We would love to have you included. Also, we are really seriously thinking about a trip to Israel. We will probably leave it the very end of February and come back at the end of the first week of March and we’ll know more details as we try to hammer this out.

But we hope that you’ll let us know if you’re interested. Call and put your name on the prospect list and we will then keep you abreast of what decisions remain. I think we’re right at the very end now of our trying to work that out and we should have a date and return date, departure date, return date, and itinerary, a price which will include your airfare, your hotels, your meals will have a wonderful time. And if you’ve not been water baptized, you might want to have that done in Israel in the Jordan River.

Every trip I take, I always baptized people in the Jordan and would not be great to be baptized right there in the Jordan River, the very river where Jesus was baptized and we’re John the Baptist baptized. We’re excited about what God is doing. in the last days and I believe that the rapture is right around the corner. I’m not a date setter. I don’t have a date, but I can’t imagine we’re going to be here much longer. I think Jesus is coming and very, very soon.

Look at what is happening in the world with Russia, with China, with the West, with Islam, and what is happening in the Middle East, threat of nuclear weapons, terrorists and remember there are 15% of Islam is radical Islam and all these people want to kill us. That’s right. They haven’t hidden it. They speak openly about that and that means there are 350 million Muslims that are dedicated to killing us. That’s right. And so it’s scary in that regard and I’m glad I’m a believer because I’m leaving at the rapture and the worst that will happen is going to happen after I have left and you have left as a believer.

Aren’t you glad to have those comforting words that the Lord is going to catch us out and will escape the darkest hours that are coming on the earth? And we know that it’s got to be close. Things are really heating up and moving more quickly than I’ve ever seen before. In all my studies of prophecy, we’re right now watching the players step up on the world stage and the conditions being seen before our very eyes that tell us that we’re getting close to the Lord’s return.

We’re going to go to this phone line. you might be ready to call in the numbers 1-800-576-3771. You might get a busy, but keep on trying. We got all of our lines filled up, but as they drop off, you can jump on. 1-800-576-3771. We have Ann in the land, Florida. and welcome to Bibleline you’re on the earth. Yes, Dr. Hank? Yes, ma’am. What I’m calling to ask you about is after the thousand year rings, and then Satan comes back for a season, and he’s finally thrown into the pit.

The people that are on Earth stand, are they already saved or not what I’m trying to say? Are they already going to live forever or do we have to be changed into an immortal body also. Good question. What happens there is that when the thousand year reign of Christ commences and that’s at the second coming, seven years after the Rapture, all unbelievers on the earth are killed by Christ at the second coming. And the ones that enter into the thousand year reign of Christ will enter in and their mortal bodies.

These are people that have gotten saved in the tribulation period that have not died that will live in their mortal bodies. Now they will all be saved at the beginning, but they will have children and their children will grow up and marry and have children and so on. And all of those will still have a nature related back to Adam and they will be sinners in need of a Savior. And apparently by the time the thousand years are over that there will be millions of unbelievers on the earth that have been born during that time that have not trusted Christ even though the conditions are ideal.

Christ is living visibly on the earth. The earth was filled with the knowledge of Christ. Satan and his angels are bound in the bottomless pit and the heart of the earth. But at the very end, Satan is loosed for the purpose of exposing this, and he is able to round up according to Revelation 20 verses 7 through 10 a huge multitude of unbelievers. And he’ll lead them against the city of Jerusalem where Christ will be ruling from, and of course Christ quickly wins the battle, and the cast Satan finally into the eternal lake of fire.

That’s the end of Satan forever. We’ll never see him again, although he will be alive forever. He’ll be confined to the lake of fire where he’ll suffer and be tormented day and night forever and ever. So the answer is the millennium begins with believers, but unbelievers come along because they’re still in their mortal bodies. Now we’re going to come back and rule and reign with Christ and we’ll be in our spiritual bodies and not able to have children and we will not marry, but the ones that are born during the tribulation period will need salvation.

And I hope that helps. Thank you. You’re welcome. Thank you for calling in from the land, Florida. We now have Kevin in Tampa, Florida. Kevin, welcome to Bibleline your on the end. Kevin you’re on the air hello Kevin Kevin come in yeah, I’m here all right. What’s your question if you could um? Sure, oh the Godhead is God the eternal father got the eternal son and God the eternal spirit and All three are one God some people like that Joe’s witnesses say that’s three gods and they are practicing 1 plus 1 plus 1 is 3.

But you know, if you move along in math and you get a little bit further along, apparently the Joe’s Witnesses haven’t gotten there yet, you multiply 1 times 1 times 1 and you get what? 1. And so the Godhead is one God and he eternally exists as three separate persons within the Godhead. And we find that God the Father is Yahweh and God the Son is Yahweh and God the Holy Spirit ishawe and they’re all three eternal all three separate you know in john one one in the new testament it says in the beginning that’s when the universe was created it says the word which is another name for Jesus was with God and it says and is God and so we know that the second member of the Godhead was with God and yet at the same time is God and then says all things that were created were created by him.

So he was involved in the creation. All three members of the God had, you know, the word for God in Genesis 1-1 is the Hebrew word Elohim. The I am ending, let you know it’s plural. And what is interesting about the Hebrew language is that words that are plural mean three or more. In English, plural means two or more. So in Genesis 1 1 it says, in the beginning God or Elohim, that is the Godhead, all three members, in concert, working together, created the universe.

Then in verse 2 you have the Holy Spirit. It says in the Holy Spirit, or the Spirit of God, moved upon the face of the waters. Then in the creation of man, it says in God, or Elohim, said, let us make man in our image after our likeness. Again, the Godhead is working in concert and in harmony with themselves created man. And so you have the Trinity, the Godhead throughout the whole Bible beginning even in the first verses in Genesis.

Thank you Kevin for that call we now have Carl in Tampa. Florida Carl welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. All right Dr. Hank I have a question of chapter 21 verse 20 as Jesus said I doubt will not only do what was done to the fig tree but even if you say to this mountain you’ve taken up and cast into the sea will happen. Absolutely. The whole point is here that you have to ask prayers that are scriptural.

For example, when Jesus says here in verse 21, rarely, rarely I say unto you, if you have faith in doubt, not, you shall not only do that which is done into the fig tree, but also if you shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be cast into the sea, it shall be done. What is interesting is he’s talking about a specific mountain, not just any mountain. He just can’t go up into the Rockies or into the Smoky Mountains and say, OK, Lord, I want to move this mountain right now would you move it for me?

That’s going to happen. The Mount of Olives in Zechariah we are told is going to be removed at the Second Coming and so when you pray in line with Scripture you can know it’s going to take place. It’s absolutely going to be a fact. Even as the fig tree Israel has been placed on hold for 2,000 years as it represented Israel and how that they were not bearing any spiritual fruit when Christ came, and so He placed a curse on them until the times of the Gentiles or the fullness of the Gentiles would occur.

Then God would go back and finish with Israel. You see in chapter 24 of Matthew Christ talks about when you see the fig tree putting forth leaves again, you know then that the coming of Christ is near even at the doors. I think we are seeing that already as the Jewish people are back in the state of Israel and they are in preparation for the return of Christ. By the way there are many messy, eddy Jews, Jews that know Jesus as their Savior in Israel as well as around the world.

I think that is a prelude to what is going to happen after the Rapture when the blinders will come off the Jews and many millions of them are going to get saved. already now, I think seeing that transition take place. And Jewish people, I have a number of them as members of my church that are Jewish, and yet they know Jesus as their Savior. And I think we’ll see more of that as we approach the Rapture and after the Rapture, there’ll be many, many more.

So what it’s saying here that when you pray scripturally, if you read your Bible carefully, whatever is within God’s will, then God will answer that with a yes. But if you’re praying, contrary to God’s will, you’re going to get a no answer. James 4 says, you ask and you have not because you ask a miss that you may consume upon your lust. So if you ask and you don’t have, God is saying no because you’re asking wrongly. But if you ask in line with scripture, he’s going to say yes.

And then also he reminds us in James 4 that you ask or rather you have not because you ask that. So sometimes we fail to ask. I love that old hymn, What a Friend We Have in Jesus. It says, What Peace We Often Forward, Because We Don’t Bring Our Needs To The Lord In Prayer. What a Friend We Have in Jesus. We can go to Him and we can call upon Him and when we pray, scripturally, which means you need to study your Bible and ask yourself, are you praying selfishly or are you praying in line with God’s will.

We’re now going to Lisa in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Lisa, welcome to Bible On Your On The Air. Well, thank you. And first of all, let me say that I really enjoy listening to you. You’ve cleared up a lot of issues for me, and I feel for some of the churches around this area. And the question I have for you is I’ve heard you talk about one side, always side. What I want to know is for my benefit, can you give me some scriptures on eternal security?

Absolutely. Sure can. There’s tons of them. Hold on, let’s get your pencil out and write some down. John 637, one of my favorites where it says, Him that cometh to me, Jesus says, I will in no wise cast out. That means he will never for any reason or under any circumstance ever cast out anyone that comes to Christ. So John 6 37 if you come to Christ, he won’t cast you out. I’ll never forget one lady I was talking to and she says the pastor you don’t know what I did.

And I said don’t even tell me. Let’s just read the verse again. Him that come with me. Have you come to Christ and trusted him as your Savior? She said yes. Well, it says I will in no one has cast you out. And then it doesn’t say except you commit the sin that this lady committed which I didn’t want to know what it was well There are no exception clauses there and she caught that John 639 even better Jesus said this is the Father’s will which has sent me that of all of which you have given me I should lose none No, and he not one would be lost if you ever became lost the word of God would be a lie Why?

Not one person in all of history has ever been lost because Jesus promised he would not lose one. So you can’t be lost once you become the same. John 10, 28, another favorite of mine. Jesus says, I give unto them eternal life. It’s not temporary life. It’s not a trial period. It’s not life until you sin again. It’s eternal life. And that’s forever and ever and ever. And then it says here, and they shall never perish. Now the parish means that if you paid for your sin it would be by death and that would mean ultimately the second death to be cast into hell.

What it’s saying in that phrase, they shall never perish. They shall never perish. You can write in the margin, you’ll never go to hell. You’ll never perish. I’m never going to go to hell because Jesus paid my sin debt in full. He gives me eternal life and I’ll never perish. Then thirdly, he says in John 1028, and neither shall any pluck them out of my hand. were held in Christ’s hand. In order to be lost, you’d have to be able to be stronger than Jesus to break his grip and to get out of his hand.

Or whoever would remove you from your salvation would have to be stronger than Christ. Not going to happen. Not going to happen. No one is able to pluck you out of the hand of Christ. That’s what Christ said. That neither shall any pluck them out of my hand. So those are just a few. If you go on my website and look under the right hand side of the homepage, Dr. Lynch from Zardickel’s. They’ll find that there’s several articles I’ve written on listing eternal security verses for you.

Another great one is Ephesians 113, which tells us, the Holy Spirit seals us. A seal in the Bible is a symbol of a finished transaction. In other words, your salvation is a finished transaction. It’s already been accomplished. Secondly, it’s a sign of ownership. They would put a seal or a brand on a cow letting you know which ranch owned that cow. Well, God seals us and the Holy Spirit himself is the seal. So he owns us. And thirdly, it’s a sign of security because as long as we have the Holy Spirit himself being our seal, nothing can break that seal.

Nothing can undo our salvation. and it says that we’re sealed until we’re actually in heaven Ephesians 113. Those are a few, and that ought to help a little bit. But once you get saved, you’re psyched. Okay, well I appreciate it. Thank you very much. Thank you, Lisa, and that’s Lisa in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and the people who object usually say, well, that would mean you could live as you please. That isn’t true. Once you become born again, God becomes your father for the first time, and you become his son or daughter by a new birth.

And if your delinquent God will spank your discipline you as a father with his son. Hebrews 12 6 says, for whom the Lord loves, he chases or disciplines every son whom he receives. So if you’re received in the God’s family as a son, he will discipline you if you’re delinquent but you’ll never be cast out. Isn’t that wonderful? And also we’re held accountable the Joseph C. of Christ for reward will either suffer loss of reward or be rewarded for our faithfulness and that’s another incentive for us to live for Christ.

We’re going to go to Jim and Tampa. Jim, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yeah, hi, Pastor Hank. God tell them Jewish people to give the land a rest in the setting. In my business, it seems like there’s a seven-year cycle. I was wondering, have you ever given thought to God’s seventh year of rest in our current day, in our current business. I haven’t but that was under the Old Testament law but also was a similar thing to crop rotation you know.

In farming, you need to have some way of letting the land recover. That’s the way that God did it. He would say plant harvest for six years, and on the seventh year, let the land rest. And that was a wonderful way of teaching them how to properly let the land recover from those six years of farming. And so I believe that was a part of it. And maybe that would apply to businesses or other principles. It’s a principle that may apply to many other things.

Certainly during the week there are seven days and the Lord tells us to take some time to recover ourselves and to rest. So, good point and I hope that helps a little bit, but definitely that was part of the Old Testament law. We’re not under the law, but certainly it’s good advice and it’s perhaps would work well in some circumstances. Thanks. I’m trying to keep in a great place to bless your ministry. Thank you so much Jim and it was Jim in Tampa, Florida.

We have a number of offer questions and John in Charlotte, Michigan calls in, off air and says a previous caller was asking about angels and I was wondering if fallen angels and demons are one of the same and the answer is yes. The demons in the New Testament are the angels that fell with Satan when he attempted to overthrow heaven. And so they are the same exactly. Thank you for that question John and Charlotte Michigan. We have Anonymous in Tampa.

All fear leaves this question. Was Noah punished for being drunk in the tent when his children covered him up? The answer is, I believe he was. That was obviously a surprise for us all, wasn’t it, to see Noah get drunk after the flood. But again, the heroes of the Bible are human and they sin and the Bible doesn’t cover it up. If the Bible were written by men, they would probably make all the heroes of the Bible just to be perfect.

And that often happens in secular literature. But we find here that God exposes the flaws of even the heroes of the Bible. We have Peter denying the Lord three times and using filthy cursing language to emphasize the fact that he didn’t know Christ. We have David committing murder and adultery, and God doesn’t cover that up. This is not great to know that the Bible is amazing book. It’s the Word of God. We learn about our heroes also having the same struggles that we all have that are in a human body with a human nature.

In any case, we now have Mark in Tampa, Florida, who who leaves an offer a question. He says, what was Jesus talking about in Luke 1830? Let me go over there and see what that verse says. In Luke 1830, it says here, who shall not receive medical more in this present time and in the world to come life everlasting? talking about here two things are going on. Rewards are the result of works but also believers receive everlasting. When you rightly divide and look at the phrases here, when you come to Christ you receive salvation which is life everlasting and then when you come after Christ or serve Him you will receive rewards.

And so it is talking about two separate things and you have to be able to separate uh… the fact that works spring about reward and the believer is saved in his eternal life because he believes all right uh… joe in pimpers pines florida that’s how for it says uh… the year is five seven six eight to the jewish people since god has a seven day plan a thousand years each It’s sad to think that we have 232 more years before the Lord returns.

I don’t think so, so please explain. Well, if you accommodate the fact that the Bible years are 360-day years, I mean, 360-day years, you would multiply 5, 7, 6, 8 by 365 in a quarter divided by 360 and you would come out to the correct number of years in the way we count years. So I think that that’s the answer. You’re going to find out that we’re right on the money. Price is ready to return at any day. All right, we have now Mark in Tambalthorla.

He says in 1 Thessalonians 4, 16, he said in your intro that Jesus Christ comes back by himself. But the souls of them that God will come back with Christ and to get the resurrection about these, please explain. Well, you’re exactly right. But I’m talking about that Christ does not come back with his angels or any other heavenly beings, but he does bring their souls back. Those that have died and they will receive the resurrection by the sumark you’re absolutely right on.

And that tells me you’re thinking. That’s really great. Jeff in the land floor that says off here, when will we actually be in the presence of the Lord? Some believe that when you die you’re going to have an immediately. But in 1st the slowings, 4, 16 the Bible says in the dead in Christ shall rise first. Well the answer is 2nd Corinthians 5 8 says absent from the body, present with the Lord. So when you die, you are immediately present with the Lord in heaven.

Now verse 16 there, 1 Thessalonians tells us that the souls of the believers will come back with Christ and when it speaks about the dead in Christ rising first is speaking about their bodies. So I hope that answers that we are out of time. Again, pray for Bibleline if you can help us. Call in and give a gift by credit card over the phone. Also, if you have interested Christ, you need to do that. I hope you’ll trust Him right now.
