Click on the TV set, you’ll be connected to the television programs, and if you click on the camera, you’ll be connected to the worship services, and they’re every day, 24 hours a day, you can catch those on the internet.
I hope you will do that. And by the way, you can join our Sunday worship at 11 o’clock live as we webcast that. And then you can also go back in archive and catch those. We have now 49 Sunday messages sitting there waiting for you. We have about a year’s worth of radio programs and you can download them for your iPod and all of that’s free and I hope you will take advantage of that. Thanks for tuning in to Bibleline today.
We have a number of series that I’ve taught. I’ve taught for three Bible colleges, including Moody for 11 years. And you might want to get some of these. We have the Gospel of John. We just finished. That’s available on CD and DVD. We have the Book of Revelation, the Book of Daniel, with the Book of Romans, the Book of Hebrews, the Book of Jude, the Book of Matthew, Ephesians and so on. A lot of the New Testament books and a number of the Old Testament books, including Genesis, we have on CD.
You might want to call it Enquire. Some of these sets are available on DVD as well. We have some special series that we did on the Rapture, on the Holy Spirit, on parables, on how to lead souls to Christ, on the Christian life, and on in-time controversies and in-time prophecies. You might want to try to get some of those sets for yourself. A lot of people tell me they use them to facilitate a Sunday school class or a Bible study.
Sometimes in their home they’ll play a half hour and then have a group discussion and have refreshments and have found that very successful. You might want to maybe take some of those ideas or use it in your lesson preparation if you’re studying a book of the Bible, Romans or Ephesians or Revelation and use it. I know one group of businessmen last year that early every morning before work and they played one of the Revelation series every day, not every day but every week when they met.
And that turned out to be a very wonderful series for them and they enjoyed it so much. Why not call and get a resource sheet or drop by during the week where we’re open until 430 every day. You can come knock on our door. at 4811 George Road here on the west side of Tampa’s International Airport. In fact, we would love to have you come by anytime you’re in the area, if you’re in from out of town. But if you can’t come by, then you can visit our Resource Center online at BibleLineMinistries.org.
You can also visit our worship services by catching them live or watching them in archive. You might want to do all those things, and then you might want to order some of our resources. the Scofield Bible is wonderful. When you run out to your Christian bookstore, you’re going to find they don’t sell the old Scofield anymore. They sell a Scofield Bible called number three. It’s a hybrid. It has notes that were written not by Dr. Scofield. They don’t identify them as not being by Dr.
Scofield. And they’ve watered down the old notes so that they’re kind of like an old rag that’s kind of been rung out. You don’t want to get that we have the old Scofield here, the 1909 and 1917 editions, and getting harder to get because people are moving away from them, but they’re the best. And please don’t buy the inferior one when you go to your books. There are so many people who told me that they went out and they bought the Scofield but it was the wrong one.
The Old Scofield, if you can get it out there fine, but we have it here in our Resource Center in Tampa, Florida. This cost will be able to send it right out. And we’re pretty quick about turning around on our order and we hope that you’ll take advantage of it. And we hope that you’ll check out the many other things. We have a lot of inexpensive books that are really powerful. We have the book on evangelism for a gift of $12.
of twelve dollars. We have the book by Erwin Lutzer, one minute after you die, that’s powerful for somebody grieving or about ready to lose a loved one, or just curious about where their loved ones have gone who have passed on before them. This is a great book. We have one also called the Facts on Islam for six dollars. It really shows you the cracks in the armor of Islam and helps you penetrate if you’re trying to witness to somebody who’s of the Islamic faith.
It shows you the contradictions in the Quran and shows it’s a corrupted book where as the Bible is the infallible Word of God. We have one on masonry too. This is something that is really scary and you might want to get that also $6. We have the Bible Promise book for $5. We have a book that’s a great evangelistic tool as well called More Than a carpenter by Josh McDowne. That is powerful for only $6. So we have a lot of inexpensive ones that are making inexpensive gifts to give to someone.
But we also have full commentary sets. We have the Lewis-Spery Shafer Systematic Theology. This retails for, I think, close to $200. We have that for a gift this week of $90 to buy a blind. You can have all eight volumes. That’s, I think I’m right on that. It’s either 90 or 100. I think it’s maybe 100 for that, but it’s about half price. And that’s a powerful study to have in your library. We have the Jameson Foset Brown three volume commentary.
That’s my favorite. Cover something about every verse in the Bible for a gift of $90. We have the Jay Vernon McGee five volume set. That’s a wonderful commentary that gives you something on every chapter in the Bible. In any case, we’re going to get into the Bible for a few minutes and then we’ll go ahead and take our callers today and we hope that you will call in with your question at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Give us a call and we’ll take your question on here or off the air.
It’s amazing to me that salvation, people are getting it right. I think the reason why is Satan is blinding the minds of those which believe not. Did you know in 2 Corinthians 4, 4 it says that Satan who is presently the God of this world, now he is not the God of the universe. He is not the sovereign God over the entire universe, but he is the God of this world. He has retained that title ever since the creation when Lucifer was placed in charge of the planet earth and over all of the angels of God that lived on the original earth.
When Satan led his rebellion, he took a third of the angels and the earth was judged and we believe all life on the planet was extinguished. And it was about 6,000 years ago that God made the earth in seven days to re-inhabit life. And this time he puts man on the planet. And so we’ve been around rather shortly, but Satan still has that title, the God of this world. It’s not until Christ comes back in his second coming that the kingdoms of this world become Christ’s kingdoms and he establishes peace on earth, good will toward men.
Let me read to you a great verse in Revelation chapter 11. Handel put it to music in the presentation of the Messiah that he wrote, Handel’s Messiah. And it says in Revelation chapter 11 in verse 15, and the seventh angel sounded, this is the second coming, and there were great voices in heaven saying, the kingdoms of this world are now become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever. And I didn’t mean to break in the song, and perhaps I don’t change that now.
This is a great great verse it talks about the kingdoms of this world Which are really in the hand of Satan are going to be in the hands of Christ at the second coming and then there’s going to be peace on Earth good will toward men. We’re living I think very close Right in the shadows of these events that are about ready to take place and the Lord’s coming He’s coming soon and you hear me talk about that often and so right now is a great opportunity opportunity.
A lot to share the Gospel of people, but Satan says in 2nd Corinthians 4, blinds the minds of those which believe not, blessed the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ, who is the image of God should shine unto them. Satan doesn’t want the light of the Gospel to get to somebody lost, and it’s amazing how that many churches who have already established their doctrine and have passed it along from generation to generation many times have not re-looked at salvation and are preaching it wrong.
If you add anything to Jesus and what He did at the cross, you will not be saved. And that’s amazing that most people don’t pick up on that or don’t think it’s important and don’t realize that the gospel message can be made void. Paul was acutely aware of that in his letter to the Corinthians. In 1 Corinthians chapter 1 Paul says, Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, not with wisdom of words, he didn’t flower it up, he didn’t try to embellish it.
He gave it exactly as it was given to him. He says not with wisdom of words, catch this, 1 Corinthians 1 17, lest the cross of Christ, lest the cross of Christ should be made of what? None effect, none effect, none effect. Can you imagine preaching Christ and having the message count for zero? That’s right. A lot of preaching is really a zero message. It will not save. It will not give eternal life to the one hearing it because it is a message that has been perverted by adding to what Christ accomplished at the cross.
Jesus fully and completely paid our sin dead at the cross and he offers us eternal life completely free. The reason why you can receive eternal life at the moment you believe, and that’s what the Bible teaches, is because it’s already paid for, in full your past sins, your present sins, your future sins have already been paid for in full at the cross. You know if something is already paid for then you can take delivery can’t you? because salvation has been fully paid for at the cross.
You can take delivery at the moment of belief when you trust Christ according to John 3 16, you will not perish but have. Have is a present tense verb. That means you possess right at the moment of belief, everlasting life. If it’s everlasting life today, what can a life full of me tomorrow? It’ll still be everlasting life. What about next week? It’ll still be everlasting life. What about a year for them? It’ll still be everlasting life. about a hundred million years from now.
It’ll still be everlasting life. God must have chosen the wrong word if it isn’t everlasting. If you can lose it, He should have said I’m giving you a trial period. I’m giving you probation, but He doesn’t. He gives us salvation. I’m so glad I found this message out. I discovered it in 18, but I wasn’t, I didn’t find that in my church. My church never taught the gospel. I don’t believe anybody in my church was saved, including the pastor.
My mom and dad were charted members. We were raised in church from the cradle roll on, and yet I never knew how to be saved in the church I was raised in. And this is true of so many. I leave people to Christ all the time that are in their 70s and sometimes in their 80s that have never known the wonderful gospel. We’re having a baptism this Sunday. One of those being baptized is 84. We have a number of older folks, but we also have some teens at the other end of the spectrum.
People getting saved young and old. When you get saved, obviously we give testimony to the fact that we’ve been saved by the blood of Christ, by water baptism, but it doesn’t save. It’s an act of obedience in the part of the Christian to say publicly, I’ve been cleansed of my sin by the blood of Jesus Christ. I’m Dr. Engleman’s from Mrs. Bibleline and by the way this Sunday is our third Sunday. It will be the 21st of October. We’re having a dinner.
You can come at 1030 and then join us for our wonderful dinner. Be my guest. Bring your Bible and your family and just join us for this wonderful service and the lunch and dinner that follow. Be my guest and just enjoy that great food and fellowship. And then at 3 in Afternoon we’re going to have this baptism and if you don’t have a church home where you can have someone immerse you in baptism we would be delighted and honored to have you included in ours.
You can bring family and friends to witness that and many times people get saved just through witnessing that baptism. I’ll never forget years ago. I was invited to fly up to Cleveland, Ohio where I performed a wedding for a couple. And I had led them both to Christ. And later, the wife who had not been baptized asked if she could be baptized and she came to Tampa special with her husband and family members to get baptized. And we did it on that particular occasion in a church member’s swimming pool.
Her husband was snapping pictures and she had a stack of pictures of that baptism. She had those honored coffee table in her home and her mother had come down to visit her. She saw those pictures on the coffee table. She said, Kim, what are these pictures of you in a swimming pool in your clothes? He was swimming pool with your clothes on she said mom I was baptized and she said well Why were you baptized you were? Sprinkled as an infant and she said down with her mother in the living room and through those pictures And she then explaining and giving her testimony led her mom to Christ She called me and said guess what happened and as and you know, that’s what baptism is all about It’s a testimony and sometimes through the pictures or through conversation about your baptism You might lead someone else to
Christ as this dear woman let her mom to Christ What a day that wasn’t and they ganged up and got dad saved and so on and salvation spread through that family But it was through the pictures of her baptism that she had openly probably displayed on her coffee table They’d open the conversation and actually brought her mom to Christ. I’m Dr. England’s firm We’re going to turn to our callers right now, the phone numbers, 1-800-576-3771, and we invite you to give us a call right now.
And if you have an honor question, offer a question, we would hope that you would join us for that. By the way, those of you listening in Lansing, Michigan, on the 26th of November, we’re going to be switching to the live time. So you’ll hear us earlier, you’ll hear us from 10 to 11 Eastern time, and of course in your time zone I believe it will be 9 to 10. So Lansing, Michigan and all that area that reaches into Detroit and all those other surrounding areas, we welcome you to a new time coming up and we’re giving you some advance notice.
By the way also, we’re planning to go to Israel. We’ll probably leave the last week of February, return on March 7th, Friday, the first week of March. I hope you’ll go with you with trip number 15. We’re just about ready to finalize this and get brochures that we can mail out to you. And we hope that you will absolutely be on this trip with us in February 2008 call. And you can get your name on a list where we’ll be glad to mail these brochures out to you as soon as we get them.
We’re going to be getting them very, very soon. Well, we have a question here, off-air, and this is from Clinton in Memphis, Tennessee, listening there. At the same time, we’re on the air here. They’re also an hour earlier on their time zone, but it’s actually 10 to 11 Eastern time that they’re listening in Memphis, Tennessee, Clinton. Thank you for leaving this off-air question. He’s asking about Jeremiah chapter eight versus four through six. I’ll read them and then we’ll try to answer them.
Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Blessed is the Lord, shall they fall and not arise, shall he turn away and not return. Why then is this people of Jerusalem sitting back by a perpetual backsliding? That they hold fast the seat, they refused to return. I hearken and heard, but I spank not a right. no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, what have I done? Everyone turned to his course as the horse rushed to the battle. The word in the Old Testament is nichim for repent, and it really means to regret and to have sorrow for.
They didn’t sorrow or have regret concerning their sins and how they departed away from the Lord, but also whenever it is quoted in the New Testament it’s made equivalent to a change of mind. The people really had rejected the Lord and the wickedness was, you know, so many times we hear this about the wicked or wickedness and it really is talking about their attempt to be saved by some other way than trusting Jesus as Savior. Let me go to a verse in Isaiah and I think it’ll be made clear as to what I’m saying.
We’re going to turn over to chapter I think you can find that rather quickly. I say it’s such a big book, 66 chapters, and you ought to be able to find it quickly. So turn if you hold an Isaiah chapter 50, and here it says, and my page stuck together here so I can’t get to the page I’m looking for, We’re looking here for Isaiah Chapter 50. I think it’s gonna be 50. They’ll see here 55 that’s where I’m gonna go.
Isaiah 55 it says in verse 7 Let the wicked For sake his way now the wicked are those that are unsaved are unbelievers So anyone no matter how moral how religious are wicked in God’s sight if they haven’t trusted Christ because our works and our needs are filthy rags in God’s sight. And so a person standing before God in their righteousness are standing in filthy rags or in wickedness, but the believer is standing before God in righteousness because of the righteousness of Christ that’s credited to the account of the believer.
So it says in Isaiah 55, 7, let the wicked forsake his way. Now his way is referring to the plan of salvation. Christ is the way. Remember back in chapter 53 of Isaiah, it says, all we like sheep have gone astray. We’ve turned everyone to his own way. That means we have chosen a way to try to enter heaven that is contrary to what the Bible teaches. Yet in spite of that, it says in Isaiah 53, 6, the Lord has laid on Christ the iniquity of us all.
So it says here in this wonderful verse, let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts let him return unto the Lord. So the key is God, you have to come to the Lord to be saved and of course Jesus is the Lord who took on human flesh. And it says he will, if he does that he will have mercy upon him and to our God for he will abundantly pardon. So when you talk here about the wicked not repenting of their wickedness, their wickedness is to try to be saved by their works.
Same as in Matthew chapter seven, where Jesus says in verse 22, that many will say to him at the great white throne judgment, Lord, Lord, and they’ll then begin to brag about what they did in obedience to his lordship. They’ll say why we preached in your name, healed in your name, done many wonderful works in your name, and Christ said, I never knew you. Why? Because they didn’t say, Lord we trusted that you died at Calvary’s Cross, shed your blood, paid our sin, that in full was buried, rose again from the dead.
They didn’t even mention the gospel. They’re bragging about what they had done. They had preached, they had healed, they had done wonderful works in the name of Christ and Christ said, I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work what? Iniquity. Now it didn’t sound to me like that, was it iniquity? Does it to you? Preaching in the name of Christ, healing in the name of Christ, doing wonderful works in the name of Christ? Does that sound like iniquity?
Yes it is. If you are trusting in those things to get you to heaven, God calls that wickedness. He calls it iniquity. You are rejecting the God of the universe and the provision that He has made through faith in Christ to be saved. And that is wickedness according to the Bible. And so I hope that answers that question. It’s a good one. Thank you, Clinton and Memphis, Tennessee. We now are going to go to Carol and Jacksonville, Florida. Carol, welcome to Bibleline your own ear.
Good morning. Hi, Carol. I have a pleasure of listening to you every morning, get a blessing out of it. Well, terrific. But I have a question for you that I would like to have your input on in post-current as I believe chapter head covering for the woman. And it tells you basically that the woman’s covering really is her hair and her hair is a glory to her. But in Corinth, many of those got saved, came out of different lifestyles, and in Corinth that had been there many times, the prostitutes had their heads shorn.
So in other words, they were like bald. And that was a clear sign that who was the prostitute, who was not. And so when they came to know the Lord, they were talking about having their head covered. And so they would put something on if they didn’t have the long hair. But if you read there, it talks about women having long hair being a glory to them, but a man, verse 14, does not even teach you that it’s a shame for men to have long hair.
So men should have had short hair, but the women should have had long hair and it got turned around. But also, as far as putting on a special head covering, the Bible also says there in verse 16 that this was obviously after the individual, it wasn’t a mandate that you had to do. But some churches do that. They have all the women cover their heads and they can’t go into the service. Okay, good. That really, because I feel the same way, I attend a meeting that teaches head covering that they should wear something over their head, but I have read this passage over and over and prayed about it.
And I get the same thing that you just told me. So I really appreciate that. Well, super I’m so glad Carol and we’re not bound by that rule, but it is It’s really a glory for the woman to have long hair that is for covering I’m that’s what it’s saying. Well, thank you and we appreciate that call. We have a lot of colors waiting all today to get them all up. But we’ll try to get them right after the break here.
We’re going to go to break. We’ll come back into a second half hour. By the way, we are listeners supported. If you could help Bibleline at this time, it would be great. Call in and give a gift to Bibleline. Would you by credit card or ask for an envelope to be mailed with our address and you could mail in a gift to Bibleline or order things to our Resource Center or even give a gift on our BibleLineMinistries.org website on the online bookstore.
We’ll be right back. Don’t go away right after the short break Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771 That’s 1-800-576-3771 All right, I’m Dr. England’s from it’s great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast We appreciate you and all of our listeners and want you to know how we are excited about hearing from you and the blessings that Bibleline has been in your life. We are listeners supported and we really want you to partner with us and help us.
We don’t have any other means of support than our listeners. If you could send a gift to Bibleline or give one by credit card over the phone, it would be wonderful. We need your help and if you would be willing to call, you could give a gift by credit card over the phone. We know that God wants us, I think, to partner together because that’s the way He works. Everybody in the Old Testament, whenever Israel went to war, when the armies came back and they were victorious, they all shared in the spoils of the war equally.
And that’s interesting. So there were people who didn’t have to stay home and watch the children. There were people that had to stay home and make sure the flocks were fed and watered and they also had to have people that stayed at home to tend the fields and those people were rewarded equally with those that took the sword and went out to the battlefield. And so when you partner with us, I believe you’re going to share equally in whatever fruit or benefits that come from this program and the way of eternal rewards.
I think they’ll account to your account and you’ll obviously have treasure in heaven. I think it’s one of the wonderful things that God allows us to do is to partner with scriptural and sound Bible ministries to getting on the harvest that will come one day when we get to heaven. You know in Philippians 4 17 Paul said not that I desire a gift when talking about giving. He says that I desire a fruit that may abound to your account.
What a statement. He’s saying really I’m not trying to get your money. I’m not really desiring a gift. He says, I want fruit to bound to your account as you give fruit from the ministry that you’re supporting. In that case, Paul’s ministry would have accrued to your account. I wish I could have been living back then and that time and invest everything I had in Paul’s ministry. I’d love to have the fruit that he bore on my account when I stood before the Lord one day.
And I believe Bibleline is doing things for God. We’re getting people saved. We’re getting people dedicated, getting people who are actually going into ministry, and we’re reaching out to the whole world, through the internet, and certainly are reaching lots of people with clarity and with the answers from God’s Word. And a lot of people have told me that they have learned more in just a short period of time. In 30 days they’ve learned more Bible than they had in 30 years in their church.
So that’s quite incredible. And I believe that we’re living in the end times and this is the time that we need to get going for the Lord. Well Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question. You can just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and it’s great to be with you. Thanks for tuning into Bibleline today and we are so glad that you’re with us here on the Bibleline program.
If you have a question, you’re welcome to call in at 1-800-576-3771. You’re also welcome to leave in a question off air. You can do that one way is through the internet by going to Bibleignministries.orgio.com. Click on the spinning globe and that page that comes up has a place all set up for you to type in your question, hits the vent and we’ll get that, we’ll try to answer it. We have so many callers, we want to go right now to Mary in Spring Hill and Mary, welcome the Bible and you’re on the air.
Yes, hi, Pastor Hank. I wanted to make a comment about the pastor from St. Petersburg that called in a few days ago and said he’d been studying the Bible 30 years and you were wrong. But didn’t the Jews study the Bible centuries before Jesus came and they were wrong? Absolutely. And another, this Joel Austin, he was on 60 minutes and he was saying that his ministry was more about people being happy in this life does he not care whether they go to heaven or not after they leave this life well that’s a good question but apparently doesn’t know where they’re going to go when they die because in the previous interview with lurking live he said he didn’t know whether they would go on that yeah i heard he didn’t want to commit himself to no he didn’t and uh…
and so he uh… basically is a motivational speaker and uh… does exactly what any motivational speaker would do but i don’t see a whole lot of bible talk and i don’t see people being told a a true gospel where you’re saved by faith in the shed but of christ from a burning hell to go to a wonderful heaven to live with more forever and ever yeah and the secular media doesn’t come down on him like to do somebody that says there is a hell Well yeah, people just want to hear in their ears tickled today especially.
And so if you say anything like that there’s a real hell or that there are things that are wrong that people are doing that are sin, you’re going to be in trouble. Mary, I’m glad you brought it up. It’s true. The Bible is the word of God. I had somebody call me off here and say that common sense tells me that you’re not right. Well, we’re not going by common sense here. We’re going by the Bible. And if they’re in line with the Bible, then they have truth.
If they don’t have their beliefs in line with the Bible, then they’re in error. And the Bible says that we use the scriptures to discern between the spirit of truth and the spirit of error and the spirit of error, of course, the Satan spirit, who obviously we like to pervert God’s word so that we don’t get the truth. But the spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit, will reveal to us from his word what really is truth. And that’s what we need to embrace.
yes and and the people that are saying turn from your stand that kept me from going to church for years because i knew i couldn’t be then free i just couldn’t do it i wasn’t good enough exactly and i think most people down inside know that and they always have this uh… uh… i guess that lack of confidence as to whether they can ever be saved or whether they are saved because they know in their truth when their heart that they still sent So anyway, I really appreciate your ministry.
Well, thank you so much, Mary Ann. We’re talking about repentance now. The Greek word means to change your mind. And even in the Old Testament, the one that was brought up today is talking about changing your mind about man’s wickedness, which is not his sins. It’s talking about the fact that they reject the Lord for salvation. And they are attempting to be saved by what they do. and that in God’s sight is wickedness. Let the wicked forsake his wicked way, and his wicked way is any other way than trusting Christ.
Christ said that the narrow is the way that leads into life. That means Christ is exclusively the way. And if you reject that way, then you’re committing the unpardonable sin, which is the greatest in the way that anybody could ever commit. We’re now going to go to Frank in Sarasota, and Frank, welcome to Bibleline your On The Air. Oh, hi Dr. Hank, thank you for taking my phone call. The pre-date basically, this one, your opinion. Would you say, teacher, that in terms of reading his blog?
I believe if you’re looking to him for spiritual guidance or for learning your Bible, you’re going to the wrong person. If you’re looking to be entertained in a clean way, obviously he’s not going to say anything filthy. and to be uplifted in a way that a motivational speaker would motivate you, I think you could listen to them. But if you are looking for somebody to get saved, I don’t think I would take them to his ministry or ask them to listen to his ministry to be saved because he’s not going to tell you.
At the end, his invitation is kind of an innocuous invitation to accept Christ, but you hear nothing about the blood, you hear nothing about his death. Here’s a man named Jesus, whoever he is, and just accept him in your life. That doesn’t save you. You have to trust in Christ. The gospel message is the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Christ. And the bypass, which most are doing today, is not really the message it Romans 1 16 says, I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.
Forget the gospel is the power of God and the salvation to everyone that believes the gospel. So when you believe the gospel, you become saved. Nobody is seemingly preaching that anymore. We just bypass the cross and just talk about a man named Jesus and just go ahead and accept him in your heart, which is not the gospel. the gospel is the trust, Christ, that is death, and in shed blood, but not to ask Him to save you or ask Him to come in your heart.
That’s not biblical at all. Okay. Well, I appreciate your insight and mystery and God bless you. Thank you, Frank, in Sarasota, Florida. And I’m going to go to Anonymous now in Texas. Anonymous, welcome to Bibleline. Good morning, Derek and second-king’s chapter 5, named Naimin that was told to go and dip He was in a school seven time and he did it and he had his curse reversed. He had leprosy. And in addition to that, there was also a servant, a religious servant, but one that was serving under Elijah name, Gajita.
And he went to go and try to get money from, maybe have to hand off it, into Elijah. and he lied to Elijah and because of it he was cursed with leprosy and that leprosy that was on the name of Alban Gheza. Now that curseIVERSED that he had was that reversible? I’m trying to say I was almost reading the rest of this story I was trying to see did he ever get rid of that leprosy or did he die with it?
Bye! I’m pretty sure he died with it, but I think anybody, you know, in the greater picture that we’re all under the curse of sin and the penalty of sin, but anybody is, the dying thief is an illustration of, just before you die, if you trust Jesus as your Savior, you’re delivered from the curse. As it says in Galatians 3.13, Christ delivered us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. And so his death on the cross was a substitutioner payment where he took the curse of sin upon himself and the consequences of it, paid for by his death so that we could receive eternal life free as a gift.
Okay, thank you. Sometimes we don’t get the full story and maybe God in in 10 for us to follow it to the end. Let’s go to David now in Sun City Center and I don’t know if I have David on that line or not. So we’re going to go now to line three and we’ll see who it is. Welcome to Bibleline. I told him I didn’t want on the air. Okay, well, we’re not going to put you on the air then.
Ah, let’s see here. We’re going to go now to, and I don’t know who this one is either. Who is this? Who do we have on the line? Mark? Is this Mark? Mark, are you there? Okay. I’m having trouble figuring out which line is which here, and we will wait and sort this out in just a second. We have lots of offer questions, so maybe we’ll go ahead and take a look here. But Jen in Tampa, Florida calls with a software question.
She says, a Jehovah’s Witness wants to know why Jesus prayed in the garden if he in fact is God himself. How can I explain this to them? And the answer is he was also a man. The Jehovah’s Witnesses acknowledge the humanity of Christ but deny the deity of Christ. And so you’ll notice here, he talks to his disciples, especially right after the resurrection in John chapter 20. And he says that he had not yet ascended when Mary had come.
And in John chapter 21, we read that verse for you, where he says here, Touch me not in verse 17 of John 20, for I am not yet ascended to my Father, but go to my brethren and say unto them I ascend unto my Father and your Father and to my God and your God. So here we find Jesus as a man was dependent upon God as God and also recognized him as his Father and Jesus is his Son.
But as God, he is God himself and he says that numerous times and obviously when Doubting Thomas saw Jesus there after the resurrection and saw the wounds in his hands. He said, my Lord and my God. So he recognized that Jesus was God and he said, my Lord and my God, as he saw that Christ truly had come back again from the dead. Okay, now we’re going to go to Mark. Mark is in Newport, Ritchie and Mark. Welcome to the Bible and I hope I’ve got the right person now mark yes how you doing mr.
Lynch drum good okay hold on just a second I’ll be with just a second here this is second place all right Bob’s carbon mark I’ll put you on hold real quickly right with you hello yeah I’m a work my question is this mr. Lynch my you I got saved in your church about four years ago it’s the best thing happened to me and on this in the book revelation you have the two the profits are to come back and uh…
i got an argument but the question that i work with i believe it’s going to be enough to know why you should be close this is my reason because they never died right that’s correct and he said it’s going to be a lot of uh… and moses okay and i see why i don’t think it’d be moses because moses died which one and my writers he right or does nobody know Well, I think if you read Revelation 11, when it describes what they do, I think you know who they are.
One will shut up the heavens so it doesn’t rain, and that’s what Elijah did during his ministry. So Elijah is, I think, confirmed there by that. The other one can smite the waters and turn them to blood, and smite yours with curses as often as he will. That has to be Moses. There’s no other Old Testament prophet that did that. and uh… the fact that uh… mosas died is not a problem because in jude verse nine it says michael the archangel had a dispute with satan over the body of mosas apparently satan objects to the students as hey he died this is not fair but apparently got his preserve the body of mosas for him to come back and i think that that is probably answer right here in jude verse nine okay well i was wrong and i appreciate it and I just want to tell you the best thing about my life and
I’m standing on my tippy toes every day just waiting to be raptured out of here. I worked with a couple people thinking I’m crazy. I said well you know what, you’re going to really believe when, you know, I figured it’s going to be millions and millions of people getting raptured out of here. So when the people the next day see all those people not here, they’re going to know we were right and they were wrong. You’re absolutely right and I think that it’s going to be a surprise when millions disappear.
The problem is, is if they really have understood the gospel, most likely they will not trust the Lord. They will be blinded as it says in 2 Thessalonians by the lives of the Antichrist will tell. Let’s go back to an offer a question here. Jonathan in Tampa says, if the gap theory is true, why does Exodus 2011 say the Lord made the earth in six days? Well the interesting thing there is Jonathan the word made is not the same word as the word created.
And there’s a vast difference. In other words. on it. When God created the earth, that’s verse one of Genesis, but he made the earth. That has to do with the word actually means to ordain or appoint. So the earth had a new appointment or was ordained for a new purpose and that is to put man on the planet. You’ll never find Jonathan. Try if you want to. You’ll never find that God created the earth in six days. It does say in Exodus 2011 that he made the earth, but if you look up the word made in the Hebrew, it’s a word that means to ordain or to appoint.
This is a place in the Old Testament where it said one of the kings made priests out of some of the tribes that were not of the tribe of Levi. So what did that mean? Did that mean that he took dust out of the ground, fashioned them into the shape of priest breathed into an nostrils the breath of life and created priests. No, it doesn’t say he created priests. He made them. That word means to ordain and it’s the same word here in Exodus 2011.
So the verse is not talking about a creation. The earth was created in verse 1, but then the word creation is used very sparingly in the Bible and very sparingly in Genesis, but doesn’t say that he ever created the earth in six days. six days or the seven days were a re-creative week and I think they’re just dealing with man and it’s been recent about six thousand years ago. Thank you Jonathan and if you have a question you can leave it off air and we’ll try to answer it here on the air.
Let’s take a look at a couple more of these off air questions if we can see what we have here. I think we, I don’t know if we’ve run out of questions or not. I thought we had about a lot of them, so I don’t know what happened to those. But if you want to call in, the number is 1-800-576-3771. Bibleline is Lissar supported, and we could really use your help this month as we are excited about reaching out to people, but we do need your help to continue the programs on the air in your area.
And if you would like to see Bible and continue in your area, then we need to have your support. Some areas are not self-supporting. And we hope that they will become that. But in the meantime, that means that we have to rob Peter to pay Paul in a sense where we have to take from areas which are self-supporting to support the areas which are not. And of course, we don’t whenever have to cut a program off of the air.
So we’re excited about Bibleline and what God is doing and it’s a miracle every week, every month that we’re on the air and we need your help. If you could help us, pray for us number one. Number two, if you could give a gift to Bibleline, you could do it by credit card over the phone and you can also do it by mailing a gift in to Bibleline call. Our partners will be glad to send you an envelope with our address on it and then you can mail your gift in or you can do it by credit card.
But also take a look at our resource center online. You can see it. Also you can come by and see it. And I know that you will enjoy the many things that we have. But I recommend that Schofield Bible. I feel that if you get into a Schofield Bible that you will be locked in the good solid doctrine. If you use it, that is you mean if you read the notes and take advantage. We’re not going to go to Benjamin and he is in plant city.
And so Benjamin, welcome to Bibleline Your On The Air. Yes, hello. Thank you, Dr. Agc. I have a couple of quick questions. A quick question if we can squeeze them in here. The first one is about Mark 11, 23, and 24, I believe it is. I don’t have my Bible in front of me, but it’s where Jesus said, well, I have faith in God. And then He said, if you say to this mountain, be removed, be cast into the sea and shout out out in your heart.
But believe those things that you say will come to pass, then He’ll have to be saved. he’ll have whatever he says in our own destiny by the words that we speak. And so I just wondered what your take was on that and the subs on your most holy faith praying in the Holy Ghost. They say that to about tongues, about praying in tongues, and I just wanted to hear what you had to say on that. I’ll hang out and try to listen on the radio.
All right. The one in Luke and Mark and also in Matthew about very, very last saying to you that if you have faith in doubt, you shall not only do that, which is done to the fig tree, But also, if you shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be cast into the sea, it shall be done. It’s quite clear here he’s standing on the Mount of Olives when this takes place. And he’s talking about that specific mountain, not any mountain that you look at or see.
And the Mount of Olives will be removed. If you read Zachariah chapter 14 when Christ returns, Christ will step down on that mountain and it’s going to split and be removed. create a great valley that will allow the water that will spring forth a river from out from underneath the temple to go east down toward the Dead Sea. And right now if a river flowed out from underneath the temple, the Mount of Olives would be in the way. So if you stand on top of the Mount of Olives, you can look down to the Dead Sea on a clear day and you can see it from the top of the Mount of Olives, but that mountain will be removed.
He is not talking about praying anything. He means praying within God’s will. The verse in Jude is not talking about tongues, but praying in the Holy Spirit means to pray in line with God’s Word. The Holy Spirit is the author of scripture. Peter makes that very clear in his two epistles that the Holy Spirit guided, directed, super intended the writing of the Bible as he directed the prophets and the apostles in giving us God’s Word. And so to pray in the Holy Spirit means to pray in line with scripture and to pray scripturally.
It doesn’t mean to pray in gibberish. That is completely a perversion of what the verse is saying. The most holy faith is the word of God and we’re to build ourselves upon it and then pray in line with that Holy scripture that God has given us through the Holy Spirit. So it’s talking about praying scripturally, praying in line with the Holy Spirit’s direction as you’ll never answer prayer this contrary to God’s word. Okay, we have now Chris in Seminole, Florida, and Chris, welcome to Bibleline Your On The Earth.
Hey Pastor Anik, I just want to say you’re a huge blessing to me. Just a quick question for you, it’s 1 John 5 verse 8. I got verse 7, but verse 8 is a stumbling block for me. Can you help me with that? Alright, let me turn to my Bible and see if I can find that. It’s at the end of our Bibles and I’m almost there right now in first John chapter 5 and My Bible is about right slide off my my lap here.
Let me see here first John chapter 5 verse 8 says And there are three that bear witness in the earth the spirit and the water and the blood it says these three agree in one. Some believe that it is talking about the Holy Spirit and then the death of Christ at Calvary. When Christ died, when the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, apparently the proof of his death was the fact that the plasma part and the solid part of the blood had separated, that always happens to death.
And so it’s talking, I think, about the water and the blood. You can read about that when you read about the crucifixion of Christ that in John chapter 19, when the soldier pierced his side, it said the forthright came out blood and water. And so that was a confirmation that Christ died. And of course it is by His death and shed blood that we are saved. And so I think this is what it’s talking about. Hopefully that will help you, Chris.
And thank you very much for that call. Lots of great questions today. And of course it’s been fun being with you. And I hope that you’ll stay tuned in every day. Today is our television day. And at 6.30 tonight we’ll be on direct TV nationwide, channel 321 World Harbors Television. at 7 o’clock tonight will be on the Christian Television Network at 7 all over the West Crystal, Florida from Fort Myers to Crystal River and over to Orlando. And we hope that you’ll be watching these TV programs today.
And of course you can catch everything, our worship services, our radio programs, our television programs on the internet any time of day or night. That’s by the line ministries.org or .com. So please take advantage of the internet. You can find our online bookstore. You can find a place to donate to Bibleline there. And several other places I think on the website. If you go on our homepage, it’ll tell you where you can go to donate to Bibleline. But we can use your help.
We obviously are trying to reach out to a world. I think time is running out. Christ is coming back. If we’re going to do something, you know, we can procrastinate and nothing’s going to happen. Bibleline is expanded because I believe that we are really running at a time and so I have pushed the envelope and got a supply to people just like you but we need your continued support and your gift right now at this time would really help us out.
So please consider praying for us, and I hope you do in many tell me every day they pray for us and we appreciate that. We know God answers prayer. We’re the result of that. But also we know that He will bless you as you give to my blinders. We carry out this great task of the great commission to go into all the world with the gospel in which we’re attempting to do and increments here. We’re spreading it up further and further and thank God for all of you who make that possible.
We’re going to have to run and we’ll come back and do another program tomorrow, Lord Willing. And of course, catch our television programs this evening at 6.30 and 7. When you give a gift to my blind, you are making a difference because you are keeping this program on the air. Did you know that we don’t pay any salaries out? We’re about as lean as you can be as a ministry because everybody’s a volunteer.
Those that answer the phones, those that work in the office, it’s all volunteers here. That’s why we’re able to reach out as far as we do is because we’re using all the funds that come in to pay the bills and stay on the air. We’d hate to lose a station that we’ve had and we want to continue to go forward and we want to continue to reach out as much in as far as we can. And of course, tell your friends around the world and those that have internet, that they can listen to Bible and watch Bible and wherever they might be on the planet earth.
Isn’t that great? It’s BibleLineMinistries.org.com and anywhere in the world people can tune that in. I was amazed to find that when I went to Israel in March of this past year that we met folks over there that watch and listen to Bibleline from lower Nigeria and upper Nigeria. That was really amazing to me. And we know that there are people around the world who do this and we get letters and we get emails from many different countries of the world where we are being heard in that amazing.
I have amazed that. Well let’s keep that going and your prayers and your gifts will allow us to do that. I hope you’ve trusted Christ and if you haven’t just tell the Lord Lord I am the sinner I can’t save myself. I trust in the finished work of Jesus This is the only means of my salvation and God will save you. If you would like to call our 800 number, our operators can assist you.
