Everything is there, so you might want to take a look at that. And we’re excited about, again, of course, the fact that tomorrow really could be the real birth date of Christ. We spoke about that yesterday, and you can go back and listen to that program, or you If you can go on my website, BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the camera and you’ll be able to get that Sunday message where I gave a lot of detail as to why. Christ was probably born on the Feast of Tabernacles which talks about Christ tabernackling in a human body, God and flesh, here on the earth tabernackling in a human body.
And it says in John 1 14 the word which was made flesh and dwelt among us. The word dwelt there is tabernacle. And it might be a veiled reference by John in John’s Gospel about the birth of Christ being on the Feast of Tabernacles which would be in the fall here in October. So that’s exciting. So another confirmation that this is the right time of year and of course the Feast of Tabernacles has a double fulfillment. It’s fulfillment of his first coming where Christ came as God and took on human flesh, the Tabernacle of Magnus, but it also has a second coming meaning as Christ will be here on the earth for a thousand years.
Tabernacle of Hmanas. Jesus was here God and flesh, God visited the earth and was here in a human body walking on the face of the earth for thirty-three years until he was crucified to die for you and for me and then was buried in Rosa dead from the dead. Then the second coming he’ll be here on the earth and the human body walking on the earth for one thousand years and the Bible is quite clear in Revelation 20 alone.
It mentions it six times and it’s a thousand years, a thousand years, and no doubt there is a literal thousand-year kingdom coming here on this earth that the Bible speaks about from the very beginning pages of the Bible. It’s amazing to me how people don’t connect the dots, even as we mentioned yesterday, the first promise of Christ coming. Cummings are mentioned in Genesis 315. And so obviously there is a second coming where he will defeat Satan and set up a kingdom.
And this is not some afterthought on the part of God, but something that was really revealed early, early, early on in Genesis in chapter 3. Isn’t that exciting? And you know you have the whole plan in type, even though not directly stated in many places in the Bible. I think it’s fascinating that in Genesis chapter 22 we have the whole crucifixion of Christ, Abraham, offers up his only begotten son Isaac. And you know it’s a picture there of God the Father, pictured by Abraham, Isaac a picture of God’s son, the Lord Jesus Christ, We have here offering him up and you have the three days and you have the three nights there.
It took three days and three nights for them to get to Moriah. Moriah is the mountain where Isaac was offered but also the mountain upon which Christ would be offered. Calvary is a part of the Mount Moriah Ridge. Guess what? It’s also interesting here that it actually tells you in chapter 22 of Genesis that it was a prophecy that what had happened then and there was going to happen later in the future when God would give His Son and Jesus would die to pay for our sins.
We find the substitutionary death as the ram was caught and I think it and took the place of Isaac and Isaac goes free because another had died in his place. Amazing! The whole story is right there. You see, actually the ascension, Isaac never really is mentioned, is coming down off the mountain, a picture of the fact that Christ goes back to heaven. And then chapter 23 of Genesis tells us about Abraham’s wife now, Sarah dies, a picture of Israel now being on hold while God turns to the Gentiles.
We have the burial of Sarah. And then chapter 24, you have Eliezer, the servant of Abraham, a picture of the Holy Spirit, goes into a far country to get a bride for Isaac. We believe that’s a picture of this present age where the Holy Spirit is gone into a far country, the planet Earth, where he’s getting a bride over the past 2000 years, primarily of the Gentiles that would be for his son Jesus. And when you see the end of the chapter, we have Isaac going part way to meet his bride, as the bride has brought my Elaser, a picture again of the meeting in the air of the rapture.
When Christ comes back part way, comes back to the atmosphere above the earth and the Holy Spirit comes up bringing the bride, the believers, and they are united. Then you have chapter 25 of Genesis, and Abraham remarries. He marries a woman named Katura. This is a picture of the fact that God is going to continue his plan for Abraham and for the Jewish people. That’s a picture of what happens after the bride has met her bridegroom when we’re caught up at the rapture to meet Christ.
The 25th chapter speaks about God’s continuance with Israel and we believe that’s the plan that God is going to continue His plan for Israel and that we’re right at that mark. When it’s going to happen, I mean, watch the news. You know, the Jewish people are back in the state of Israel for the first time in 2000 years. Up until 1948 when they declared statehood, the Jewish people did not have a homeland since AD 70 when the Romans dispersed them around the world.
An amazing prophecy that was given the Old Testament that they would not only be dispersed but they would be regathered and he would no more pluck them up out of their land. We’re watching it all happen as As I read the news, and all the major players are popping up on the world stage as we look. It’s amazing, you know. None of the countries that we’re dealing with in the Middle East existed as separate countries until after World War I.
It was after that that all these countries began to emerge. You know, it was one huge Turkish empire, and when the Turks were defeated, you’ll find that the little countries began to develop, including not only Egypt and Saudi Arabia and Jordan and Turkey and Iraq and Iran and so on. But the state of Israel popped up in 1948. These are all in time events and all… were brought about by major shCLASSIFIED here with World War I and World War II really brought about the state of Israel because the world’s conscience was moved when they discovered what Hitler had done in Germany and in the concentration camps in exterminating six million Jewish people and they determined the United Nations, believe it or not, at one point actually were all together and voted unanimously for for the founding of the state of Israel in 1947.
And in 1948, Israel becomes a nation. Isn’t that amazing? And you know, today, as the prophecies predicted, the nations are turning against Israel. And now, the United Nations, it seems, never votes in favor of Israel, always votes against them. And more and more countries are turning against Israel by the hour. Jesus said it, in 1924, that you should be hated above all nations for my name’s sake. and we’re seeing that take place. Wow, exciting times. And I want to say Merry Christmas because tomorrow probably is the real birthday of Christ.
Some people say, are you crazy? Well, think about it. Satan, Halloween didn’t come first. Jesus’ birthday came first. And Satan, of course, wants to rob the glory away from Christ. And so what does he do? He takes it for himself. And so, Halloween is typically known for goblins and witches and Satan and so on, an evil day, but it’s actually probably the real birth date of Christ and that Satan knows that and wants to take the glory for himself.
Just like when we just celebrate it December 25th, who comes along and robs the glory from Christ. Think about it, Santa. And as I mentioned yesterday, if you take the letter N in Santa and slide it to the You don’t have to do anything but just move the end to the end and it’s fell Satan Is there a connection? I think there is because you see Satan is the prominent one had Christmas when it really should be the birthday of Christ Jesus is kind of left out He can’t even get into the mall anymore What mall has any a major scene or any picture of the birth of Christ anymore.
It’s gone. But yet Satan, I mean Santa is welcome in the mall. And obviously think about him. He is their supposedly omniscient, all knowing a quality the only God has. He seems to know whether every child has been good or bad. Can that be? That’s an attribute of God. He’s also omnipresent on Christmas Eve. He’s able to be everywhere in the world, present at the same time, delivering gifts. Isn’t that amazing? These are all qualities of God. And he is obviously able to answer petitions as children ask Santa for what they need or want.
They pray in a sense to Santa or Satan and Satan provides for them. It’s quite a remarkable deception, Satan Pools here, to replace Jesus with a jolly fellow named Santa. I think there’s a dark connection there. Obviously Jesus came into the world as a Savior and we are excited about the fact that he came. I think every day of the year. I’m just so glad that Jesus came and I wouldn’t mind celebrating it 365 days a year. But the real birthday is probably tomorrow.
And I would recommend you go back and listen to yesterday’s program on the Internet or better go back and watch this past Sunday sermon on the Internet. And there I gave a lot of Scripture, a lot of background to explain why I believe Christ was born not only in October but on the Feast of Tabernacles and probably on October 31st. Check it out for yourself. We’re going to go to the phone lines here and we invite you to call in.
This is Pival and I’m Dr. England’s Ferman. We’re glad you’re with us today and if you have a question or a comment you can call now at 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771, and we invite you to give us a call. We have some questions here. I’m just going to grab a few of these before we take any live . By the way, we’re thinking about Lord willing if it works$$out going to Israel the last week in February, this coming year 2008, and the first week of March, we leave on a Monday, the last week of February, and return on Friday, the last week of February, we leave on a Monday of that week and then coming back on the last day and the first week of March on March 7th.
And great time we should have, it would be trip number 15 for me. People are getting on our list now and we should know real shortly here the price and be able to have a brochure in your hand and maybe you could make plans to go with us if the Lord doesn’t come first or something else happened in between. Carl in Tampa Florida calls in, he asks the question about Hebrews 1026, this one comes up often. I have an article I’ve written on the website, if you go to Bibleline Ministries, check on the right hand bottom corner, where it says Dr.
Lynch from Chronicles, and I have one entitled by that very address, Hebrews 1026, and you can see what I have to say, but we will comment on it for you, Carl, and hopefully this will answer your question. This is talking about believers. You have the writer of Hebrews, who is obviously saved, and he says if we sin willfully, after OSPE we have received the knowledge of the truth. I believe it’s saying that if you is a believer, if I was a believer, sin willfully, after we get saved, and that is the point here, it says there remain no more sacrifice for sins.
By the way, I think most sins are willful. I think if you say you don’t sin at all, the Bible says that you’re deceiving yourself. 1 John 1 8 John there the Apostle using the editorial we says, if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves. So if you disclaim sinning after you’re saved, then you’re obviously deceiving yourself. We still sin. Bible says if you sin willfully, there remain with no more more sins. What is it talking about?
It’s talking about the one time sacrifice of Christ was sufficient to save you eternally. You don’t need another sacrifice. You’ll notice up earlier in the chapter, talks about Christ 9 once, verse 10 by one offering, verse 12 by one offering, verse 14 says by one offering, he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified. So when you trust Christ, according to the Bible, his one-time death perfects you forever. Then it says in verse 17 of Hebrews”))10, and there are sins and iniquities, will I remember no more?
So they are forgiven and forgotten. And verse 18 says, now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. today’s budgets. What is saying is because of death? If you were going to get it, then I was going to get it. We are going to get it. We have to get it. We have to get it. We have to get it, and then get it. to send willfully in the Old Testament, then you came under the judgment of the law and they might even kill you.
You might have been stoned if you broke the Sabbath or if you committed murder. They stoned you to death. So obviously there was a punishment, it was a consequence, but it had to do with your physical life. The same is true here in Hebrews talks about how the Lord will chase in In verse 30 the Lord will judge his people as the believer and verse 31 is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God Then the rest of the verses till the end of this chapter 10 of Hebrews talks about rewards and how if we’re faithful and Servilor would be rewarded, but if we don’t will be be chastened or disciplined of the Lord, and that’s what it’s talking about here.
It’s not talking about loss of salvation. It’s talking about there is no more sacrifice necessary than the one that Christ offered at Calvary that saves you eternally. And so if you sin willfully, you are obviously going to be disciplined, but not cast out or lost, you’re safe forever. And hopefully I answered your question. I know you got another verse here, but I’m going to go through Anonymous down in Bradenton, Florida, and we’ll take Anonymous right now. So welcome to Bibleline your own year, Anonymous.
Okay, thank you. Kind of a strange question, but we know that Jesus’ physical body was flesh and bones and after his resurrection, and he rose and he’ll return to saying, and we know he’s sitting at the right hand of God to father right now. Is Jesus’ physical body literally in heaven now, his physical body? Yes it is. Where is heaven? Okay, good question, and of course the physical body of Christ is in heaven, and that’s where he is right now.
He’s seated in heavenly places. The Bible says you can read Ephesians 2 and tons of New Testament verses would say that he’s seated at the right hand of the Father. Hebrews in fact covers that in chapter 1 where after he died he was seated at the right hand and here we have it in chapter 10 where I was just looking right now. It says here that after this man offered us Jesus, offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God.
So he’s in heaven. Now, where is heaven? I believe it’s in the north in our universe. The Bible talks about the north a lot. And in Leviticus chapter 1, verses 11 and 12, it tells us that they offered the sacrifices in the Old Testament northward before the Lord. What does that tell us? It tells us that the Lord is in the north if they offered the sacrifices northward before the Lord. So it tells us that Satan wanted to sit in God’s throne in the north.
If you read Isaiah 14 verses 12 and 13 it says you have the 5 I wills of Satan there where he says I want to sit upon the Mount of the congregation in the sides of the north. So there he makes reference to the north and how that’s where he wanted to go to rule. In our universe? Yes. Yes, in fact in Job 3500 years ago in Job 26 verse 7, it says that God stretches out the north over the empty place.
Well, today scientists have discovered that there is an empty place, a void in the north, where there are no stars. And apparently somewhere at the end of that corridor is heaven itself. Even at verse I just alluded to in Isaiah 14, Satan wanted to sit in the north in that place where it talks about the sides of the north, implying a corridor. And there is such a thing and it wasn’t discovered until the Two Hittany’s Telescope in Mount Palomont, California, discovered it.
But today is well known and that’s where apparently heaven is. Okay, great. And Jesus’ physical body is right there. Absolutely. Thank you. Okay, great. Thank you so much. You’re welcome. Anonymous down in Bradenton, Florida. And thank you for calling in. We have Darrell now in West Pal- Palm Beach Florida and they’re all welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Okay, I like to ask the question as I’m sure how to handle this situation. I’ve had a buy from friends.
There’s supposed to be Christians, but okay, I got a daughter that’s like 33 and she ended up getting pregnant out of wedlock. And this is been a couple years ago. She did it with this guy for a good while. And now they’re getting married. And they want to have a big wedding and a bunch of other stuff. So I wanted to know if that would be like if you go along with condoning, I mean I’m not trying to condone what she’s done and told her that it’ll be wrong and try to get her turn back and come to live a more Christian life like she should and she knows better.
But if I give in and help her out of the situation she’s in and have a big wedding off of it, is that why I want to know if that would be like mocking God or if I’d handle situation for the really i’m not sure how to have a Christian sure now has has that fella trusted the lord yet or do i is he yet is he yet and say that is he still an unbeliever i think they claim he did that he is but i don’t really know beyond the i haven’t gotten the chance to really sit down yeah discuss the whole viewpoint from my nose that rate method is so i don’t really know right well you you really ought to sit down with him and i think And obviously a believer should marry another believer, not an unbeliever.
That would be not helping anything. I think if you can get them both saved, it’s a great new beginning. I would think that in the sense of the prodigal son, you know, when he went away, the father received him back with a big party. Yeah. I think I would pray over that passage and say, you know, if he’s saved and she’s saved and now they want to get their life together and do it right. I would think as the father of the particle son I’d have a party and say, wonderful, bless what’s right.
You know, obviously you don’t want to. You know what they did wrong obviously the father didn’t celebrate the fact that the son had gone off and wasted all his inheritance and with riotous living but the fact that he came home was celebrated. Okay. Think about that and pray the Lord will give you wisdom. I’ve been doing that and I hope you will and I thank you very much and I hope you have a great day. Thank you, Darrell, Darrell in West Palm Beach.
And we are coming up on our break really fast here. It’s hard to believe how quickly the program goes. And all of a sudden here it’s coming on break. Bibleline is Lister supported. If you could help us, we really, really could use your help. We are extended way out. And this is a time when we could really use some financial help. So if you could help us, would you consider giving a gift by credit card card over the phone or if you want you can call and ask when I will be sent with our address on it and mail a gift in.
But we are dependent upon the Lord and He uses people like you to keep us going and so this will be a great time to help. And by the way, tomorrow being Christ’s birthday, wouldn’t that be nice to give a gift to Christ by sending a gift to Bible and or giving it over the phone? We are going to go to break. We will come back and do a second and a half hour. I hope you’ll join me and we’ll come right back and do another half hour.
So keep your radio tuned right where it is and we’re going to go to break. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well I’m not your Englishman. It’s great to be with you as we enjoy being with you every day Monday through Friday. And here we are on Tuesday of the week, we have quite a ways to go. And we’re living in an exciting time, what’s happening in the world in one sense is scary if I didn’t know the Lord had knew the Bible predicted the things that I’m seeing.
I would be very concerned. But I’m leaving at the rapture and I know that we’re going to escape the worst hours that are ahead for us here on the planet Earth. And that’s certainly really good news. I hope you’re a believer. If you’ve not trusted Christ, would you just tell the Lord right now, Lord, I am a sinner. I don’t understand a whole lot about the Bible, but I believe Christ died for me and shed his blood to pay my sin debt and full, was buried and came back again from the dead.
The moment you trust him, God of heaven knows, and he saves you, He saves you eternally. Isn’t that great? That’s wonderful news. And certainly you can have assurance of that at the moment you believe because the Bible gives us that wonderful written guarantee in 1 John 5, 13 where it says that he’s written to those that believe on Christ so that you can know. Not hope or guess or perhaps you can actually know that you have eternal life. You can know you have it.
It’s never says hope or guess or perhaps or maybe or any of those things. So that’s certainly good news. Well if you do that you can be assured to know that whenever you die you’re going to heaven. If you live for the Lord after you’re saved God will bless you and reward you. If you’re delinquent God will discipline you but you’re going to still be saved forever. Pray for Bibleline as we are listeners supported and need your help. So if you could give a gift today by credit card, it would really help us.
We really are in a tight crunch right now hoping to come out of that. And somebody the other day sent a gift and said, ask and you shall receive. And I said, that’s a great reminder. The Bible says, ask and you shall receive and in James it says you have not because you asked not. We’re asking you, our audience, to help us out. If you could come through forests, that would really be great. We thank God for all of you who do gift to the Bible and program.
We’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break. We’re going to do a second half hour. I hope you’ll join us as we do that and tell your friends, maybe call somebody as we come out of the break and say, in this program and tell them where to tune it in at or if they have internet they can get it anytime 24 7 but they can get it live as we are webcasting right now. Here we go Bible and Part 2.
Right now. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and people are calling in and lines are lighting up and all fair questions are popping up on my screen and There’s a lot here to get done, but I’m gonna go right now to mark in Tarpon Springs and mark welcome to my blend. We’re glad to have you with us today Hi Hank.
Hey, it’s very good to talk to you. I talked to you last week and I’m out of revelation Revelation chapter 3 verse 5. It talks about he who overcomes will like them be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life. And you gave me an answer. I love the answer. As my wife and I continued to study Revelation though, I ran on to Revelation chapter 17 verse 8 and halfway through it says, the inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished.
I was understanding that everybody’s name was written into the book of life and then those who chose disbelief by the time they died their names would have been erased. I was hoping I might get an answer out of you with regard to Revelation 17. And the key word there is in 17 verse 8, the word when. And that is a time word. And when this is taking place is when the beast is cast in the hell. And that’s after these people have already lived out their lives and died.
Their names have been erased. And at this point they’re going to discover their names are not there. And so it’s important to know when this event is taking place. If you were to talk about somebody during their lifetime, if they’re an unbeliever, their name would still be in the book. But if you talk about 10 years after their death or one minute after their death about them, then their names at that point would not be in the book. And so this is the key word as the word when.
So we have to look for those time words and that’s a part of rightly dividing the word or how we interpret the Bible. The Scofield has a good job and we have it on our website in the online books on the left side there of the homepage and it says how to rightly divide the word of truth to Dr. C. I. Scofield, 10 chapters there for your reading that really help a lot in kind of telling you what to look for in interpreting a passage and this is one of the key.
I’ve got the word when circled in my Bible. Thank you. I appreciate that. I appreciate your service on the radio here. Jesus bless you and please continue to do this in the name of the Lord. Thank you very much. All right. Thank you, Mark. I’m glad I was able to help you. Sometimes you’ve got to look at a verse very carefully and see to whom it is addressed and when it’s addressed and what’s happening there and usually the answers come out pretty clear.
We have now Adam in Tampa, Florida and Adam welcome to Bibleline. Yeah, my question comes from Matthew chapter. Sir, 11 in verse 2, it says now in John heard in prison about the deeds of Christ. He’s at words by his disciples to say to him, are you the one who has to come or shall we look for another? I’m a little bit confused about that. Well, it’s a long time. Well, it’s a long time ago. No. Well, I think he did know, but I think, you know, he was, he was, I think depressed.
He’s in jail, which is not a fun place to be, I’m sure. And things weren’t going well for him at this moment. And he was saying, you know, maybe I got it wrong, you know, I thought the one that should come or do we look for another in Matthew 11 verse 3. We find here that his disciples who inquire, he says to them, go and show John again these things which you hear and see. Jesus is nice enough to be able to just take the time to explain to him.
Tell him again, don’t you know. And it says that the blind received their sight, the lame walked, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf here, and the dead are raised up. Well, you know, that’s exactly what Isaiah and the prophets had said the Messiah would do. So, hey, is he the Messiah? Well, what’s happening here? No one else could do that. You know the man that was blind and John 9, the people that saw that said no man has ever been able to restore sight to the blind.
your sight to the blind. And in here Jesus does it. They said, well, he’s got to be the Messiah. And they were pretty smart to figure that out. Anyway, John, I think, was very human. And he, just like us, you know, there are people that have doubts. And there’s nothing really wrong about having doubts, but you shouldn’t stay in your doubts. You need to get those doubts resolved. And so get into the Bible and you’ll find that the answers are there.
faith and doubt are opposites according to Romans 14. And so when you doubt it says that’s not a faith. But when you learn to trust God’s Word, you find your doubts go away. They’re not compatible. Faith and doubt doesn’t go together. If you have faith, you don’t have to doubt. And so check that out. Thanks a lot, Adam. We now have Glenn. And Glenn is in Spring Hill, Florida. and I go ahead and welcome to Bibleline you’re on the end.
Good morning Dr. Anik, how are you doing sir? Good. My question to you today is in reference to Christian magicians and doing magic tricks and stuff like that since I was a teenager. And I currently do magic shows for kids and family shows for families. Do you say anything wrong? I know the Bible warns against sorcery and stuff like that. The one thing I do during my show mentioned that what I do is just simply fly to hand and I do make mention that true miracles are performed by Jesus Christ, even on my website.
I even have the plan of salvation on my web. Well, very good. I don’t really see a problem because you’re not actually using it to deceive people in the way that the Bible warns against it. You know, in Ephesians, and this is an interesting passage, it talks about false teachers and others using sleight of hand not as you would in a demonstration of like you do, but it says here that they lie in wait and by the sleight of men and cutting craft in the sleight of wait to deceive.
So I think you could probably use the illustration is that the devil is clever and he wants to deceive you and me as to how to be saved. And even on new Bibles, I think I mentioned somebody photocopied the front of a Bible. He just got a Zandervin study Bible, and when he read the inside cover after he got it home, it said this Bible is adapted from the NIV. And so how can it be King James when it’s adapted from the NIV?
I said, that’s a trick of the devil. That’s a sleight of hand where you think you’re buying a King James Bible. And inside it tells you it’s adapted from the NIV. So it’s not a King James Bible. And so that’s really that kind of trickery. And I think you could say, look, this is how the devil works. And here’s the true Jesus, but look at the counterfeits that are out there. And certainly the cults, the cholos witnesses have a Jesus.
It’s not the Jesus of the Bible. And then you have the Mormons who don’t have a Jesus the season of the Bible. So you have to say, well, you know, like the show game, you know, which one is the real Jesus and the real one obviously is the one that came back from the dead, the one that Scottie took on flesh, the one that whose description and the Bible match up together. And so I will see a problem at all.
I think you’d probably really teach some great lessons on being careful because the, like they said, the hand is quicker than any eye or something and you can deceive people and certainly the person who’s written their Bible will be able to discern whether they’re being tricked or not. Right. And I’ll be honest with you, Dr. Whatever, that I’m not trying to clear to them to make you feel happy. And I’ve barely, clearly, stayed to them, you know, that I am a Christian and, you know, true miracles come through Jesus Christ.
And you know, I want them to leave. I appreciate your calm doctor and thank you very much for your insight. and obviously the kind of thing the Bible warns about is actually connected definitely with the devil and is the cult and I say 47 13 is a great verse warning is to stay out of the area of the horoscopes and the psychic readers and palm readers and and contacting the dead dead and all those kind of things that are really satanic and where it’s used for deception and certainly in the court of Pharaoh, the Egyptian leaders there were able to perform magic in a sense that to deceive and obviously they counterfeited a lot of the miracles that Moses did and it was for the purpose of deceiving.
Let’s go now to Randy in Bartow, Florida and Randy, welcome to Bible Life. Yes, Randy. Yes, Randy. Yes, Randy, you’re on the attorney radio down. Randy, you still there? Yes, sir. I’m here. Okay. You’re on the air. Okay. I’d like to make a comment on where Jesus was. Where John the Baptist was, you know, the Lord told Johnny, he said, up on who you see the Spirit descending and remaining. He is the Christ. Well, that’s a great comment and he should remember that and just that should have carried him all the way through his life.
But as I said, I think John was human like all of us. We have our low points and we have our points when we kind of doubt and I think John was in that situation there. Yes, sir. The situation is there with John. John, bare record, he saw the spirit descending, but he also had the bare record that it remained. Sometimes we see the spirit descend upon people and that’s a good Good thing, but the evidence of it that it remained and he had that’s I believe that’s what he was doing is going back to See that it remained all right good point Jesus obviously Never wants the spirit because he is God Yes, sir Beautiful.
Okay. Good point You’re listening to another point if I could I’d like to you know when she was talking about about the body of Jesus Could I speak about that go ahead? about the body of Jesus in the Old Testament they had to eat the lamb before they could come out of Egypt and God always required a lamb and when John saw Jesus he said behold the lamb and so Jesus brought this in and I’m spiritualizing this but you know God is a spirit and we’re born of the spirit and so you know we wonder where the body of Jesus is but Jesus said except you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life in you.
So if we have been, if we have any life of Jesus in us at all we have had the partake of the lamb and eat the lamb so we’re becoming, you see what I’m saying in order for God to bring him out of Egypt that had to bond his life span and this lifetime, this body of the Lord Jesus. So we’re becoming him in a sense. You know what I’m saying? Well, what we’re talking about here is that by faith we do that.
And John 6, if you read there, and by the way it happens as an activist, not continuous, but in John 6, he says, because they thought that they actually meant that maybe he had that bite on his arm and draw blood and drink it. That’s not something of that order at all. But he says the flesh profits nothing in verse 63 of John 6 in the chapter you’re referring to. And he says, it is the spirit that brings life.
And he said, my words are spirit. And so when you trust in Christ, verse 47 of John 6 says it, rarely, rarely I say unto you, He, the believer on me, has everlasting life. Verse 48 says, I am that bread of life. So we partake of Christ who is the bread of life when we trust Him. And you’re absolutely right. But it’s not a continuous process. I think you’re mixing up there the Christian life with a continuous of becoming more like Christ.
That has the Christian life in mind. But salvation occurs by an act of faith at the moment you trust Christ. Verse 47 clearly says, He to believeth on me. That means puts her trust on me. Half or has modern English. Hey, you have eternal life or everlasting life. At the instant you believe it’s a present tense verb and so you have it at the moment you partake, and you partake by faith in what Christ did is he gave his flesh on the cross verse 50 of John six and he gave his flesh at the cross and when you partake about my faith you become the same.
Then as you live out the Christian life, we grow and we become more wonderful in our life. Christlike as we mature as a believer, but that’s a different topic altogether. Thank you so much for that call. We now have Ronnie in Tampa, Florida. Good morning Hank. Thanks for taking my call. I haven’t called you in about seven or eight months. Can you hear me? Yes sir, but I know you’re still listening. I have a call in about eight months, but that means I haven’t been listening.
And I just wanted you to know that me and my family will stand with you, you know, roughly and financially. Thank you so much. But I wanted to mention to you that one time back you’re seeking a drill hosting, you know, an interview he had, just some weeks back I had a chance to see some of the 60-minute segments that they had him on. He asked him, he said, some call you a feel good preacher. That’s the words he used.
He said it is. He said he’s happy when people feel good. He said don’t come up to me and say that their lives has changed because of me. If it’s just feel good, like you say it, we’re not really put on us to which is condemnation, If not saved by the blood of Christ wanted to mention that I did catch you know to see I’ll put that no doubt about it. I think he’s a probably very sincere fellow nice guy I think if you took his hand and talked to me like him as a person But as far as what he’s saying concerning Christ in the Bible He’s not doctorally sound so if you want to be He listened to him like a motivator, a motivational speaker.
He certainly can make you feel good, but he’s not bringing you. You’ll find very little Bible quoted on that program. And in his gospel, very weak at the end where he says, we believe that if you invited Jesus in your heartness now, you got saved. Well, we don’t get saved by inviting Jesus into our heart. The gospel is the death of the burial of the resurrection of Christ. We have to trust that He died and shed His blood. You don’t hear that on the program and that’s what you need to hear because it’s only when you believe the gospel.
Paul said, I believe the gospel is the, I’m not ashamed of the gospel, for it’s the power of God and the salvation to everyone that believe it. I thought about what you said about that and I was thinking, boy, at the amount of people and the amount of money that could really be put out there where uh… hell could be mentioned and uh… i think just like we were thinking that it uh… or no it’s a lot of your uh…
congregation from from from being truly from the truth and i i’m not judging by no means i’m not a judge but i mean it terrible effect the case and that’s what it it plays out to be in and and every time i’m in them not in your right not not the first word about hell and on the nation none. Well I know we just have to be really alert down days more than ever because of the exposure that is out there through the media that we have a lot of people that are preaching that are not in line with scripture and if you don’t know better you just will get caught up in it and the Bible says that we have to test each one of them by the Spirit of God or by the word of God, the Spirit of God wrote.
And if they speak not according to the Bible, according to Isaiah 8, 20, it’s because there is no light in them. So we have to say, does this match up with the Bible? And then you really find out whether it’s true or not. Even though it might sound good, it may not be good. Because if it’s not biblical, then it’s wrong. Amen, that’s correct. Okay, Hank, we’ve been a praying for you and you all have a great day and good talking to you again.
God bless you. Thank you, Ronnie, in Tampa, Florida. We sure would love to hear from you. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771. If you want to go to Israel… We’re going to leave on that Monday, the last week of February, and return on that Friday, the first week in March of this coming year, and it will be trip number 15 for me. If you want to get a brochure or get the information, we should have it finalized here real shortly here, and we’d love to have you go.
We will study the Bible the whole way and have a great time. We had a question here from, I believe it was Saul, I want to get back to that and we have another off air question, but let’s go first to Nila in Lake Mary, Florida and Nila welcome to Bible on your own year. Yes, good morning. Hi Nila. So, Paul Lingstrom, how are you doing today? Good, good, thank you. I mean, how can I say very concerned about something that was done in my church last Sunday and then years I’ve been in the church that never was done.
And this is baptizing of children. These children were still probably 20, a year old, two years old. The pastor mentioned that the elders have done research on the matter and what’s okay to baptize the children. And I want to listen to your point of view. And if you can’t give me any verses, they will take it. Is it alright? Or any verses they say, it’s not okay. Okay, Nila, we’ll do that. All right, Nila is gonna hang up and listen.
But infant baptism or baptizing of children that are under the age of accountability is certainly not taught in the Bible. It is a pagan practice, by the way, and really came to us down through the Babylonian religion that was the worship of a mother and her son. and it was carried on into Catholicism, and they have always practiced the baptism of infants. And of course, the Reformation churches that came out of the Roman Catholic Church during the Reformation, many of them carried that infant baptism with them.
It’s totally unscriptural. When you read in the Bible, the baptism is a testimony of one who has placed their faith in Christ. And so the person being baptized has to be old enough to have understood the gospel and a trusted Christ as Savior. And I always depend upon the parents there to judge if they are young, and we’re talking about 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 somewhere in there. If they want to be baptized, I think I have to rely on the parents to confirm that they really have trusted christians are saviour and they’re not doing it because others are doing it or their families doing it but they really truly want to get testimony to their faith in christ but uh…
you don’t find in the bible anything like infant baptism at all period just not there anybody’s bible and i think it would be totally wrong to do that and certainly baptism in either case does not say we’re saved by The Blood of Christ, Revelation 1-5, if you want to write that one down, says unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. So we’re washed of our sin by the blood of Christ. Then if you read Acts 8, you have the classic passage about Believer’s baptism and there’s Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch and the eunuch gets saved and then he confesses Christ as his his savior and then Philip takes him down into the body of water and immerses him totally and brings him up out of the water and he gives testimony in that way.
So I hope that helps and thank you for that call. We now have Joanne in the land Florida calling in. Joanne, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Joanne, are you still there? Oh no, it’s Tony. Tony, I’m sorry. Tony, you’re on the air. Oh, I didn’t know. Oh, I didn’t know I had to lower the radio. Yes, a couple of questions, I guess. I have a brother who took a considerable amount of money from my mother while she was alive.
And I guess you could say I’ve probably forgiven him, but I really don’t feel that it made me am wrong, that I’m not that angry when I do talk to him, occasionally, but I don’t feel that I could associate with him. Because I just felt that it was kind of a terrible thing and I was just wondering what your thoughts were on that. Yeah, well, you know, it’s going to eat you up unless you finally forgive him. And ultimately the Lord’s going to work out all these injustices that happen here on this Earth.
And we can just, you know, get ourselves all worked up. And each way it doesn’t destroys us. I think we need to be careful not to do that. Obviously he did wrong and I don’t know if he’ll ever make it right. but one day the Lord is going to make it right to you. So he’s never repented or made restitution. Well, he may not either. So in the meantime, you need to get on with your life and not carry that baggage.
So I think I would forgive him and move on and just put it in God’s hands. We’ve got to run here because at the end of the time here, we’re out of time and we have to run.
