I hope you’ll go. Tip number 15, we’re going to have a marvelous time. My friend, we’re living in a day of prophecies being fulfilled before your eyes. mentioned yesterday that the Bible gives a sign for the Rapture. I believe there are several signs for the Rapture and a lot of Bible teachings says there are no signs at all but that’s not true. 1 Thessalonians 5 says when the world prior to the Rapture talks about peace and security in the Middle East that then the Rapture will come by surprise upon the world but not upon the believers by surprise and the rapture will happen.

We’ll be taken out and the world will be plunged into a terrible time of destruction called the tribulation period. Seven years of the darkest hours in human history and we believe that this initiative right now with President Bush might possibly be that. I believe the United States will be the initiator and according to Daniel, a particular man who will be in power at the time when the rapture takes place will be the man that will guarantee peace in the Middle East for Israel.

We heard those very words on television yesterday as our president talked about guaranteeing peace in the Middle East and for Israel and of Palestinian state. We are, I think, watching Bible prophecy unfold. This tells us we have to be very close if this is the peace that the Bible talks about. It’s interesting back in Isaiah chapter 28, it tells us about this peace that we are perhaps watching right now on our news. It says in verse 14 of Isaiah chapter 28, wherefore here the word of the Lord, ye scornful men that rule this people Israel, which is in Jerusalem.

What is interesting to me is that God is talking to the leadership of Israel which everybody admits is a weak leadership right now and warns them about the bad deal that they are going to be making. That is right. I think they know it is a bad deal but they feel like they don’t have any choices I guess. But look at what God says, wherefore here the word of the Lord you scornful men that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

They are going to cave in and sign to an agreement which will be absolutely to their detriment. And God warns about it. He says, why don’t you believe me? The Bible tells us that God is going to be the protector of Israel ultimately and that the Jewish people have not put their trust in God. They are not trusting in His Word. They are looking to the nations for a plan that will bring them peace. They are not looking to the God of the Bible, they have got to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Verse 15 says here, because you have said, this is what God is now speaking here thousands of years ago, I think to the present day leadership of Israel in the land. Because you have said, we have made a covenant with death and with hell are we at agreement. When the overflowing scourge shall come through, it shall not come unto us, for we have made lies our refuge and the near falsehood have we hid ourselves.” It’s interesting here they think they’re going to be safe because they make an agreement and this agreement turns out to be ultimately an agreement with hell itself.

Satan, through the Antichrist, is the one that will really wind up guaranteeing this peace for Israel and they will have made a degree with the devil himself. It says here in verse 16 of Isaiah 28, therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion, that is Jerusalem, for a foundation, a stone. A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation, he to believe it on him shall not make haste. So in this time of trouble that’s coming, God is still appealing to the Jewish people to actually put their trust in Jesus who is this cornerstone, this foundation stone.

is the rock and he’s the one that if they believe on him they won’t have to be afraid because the Lord will take care of them. It says here, judgment also will allay to the lion and righteousness to the pummet. Hail shall sweep away your refuge of lies, water shall overflow the hiding place, your covenant with death shall be disenold and your agreement with hell shall not stand when When the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then you shall be trodden down by it.”

It’s really saying that the Antichrist we know from Daniel 9 will break the agreement for peace and actually militarily take over not only all of what was ancient Assyria, which includes Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Egypt, but he will take over Israel as a part of that and they will be downtrodden by this Western dictator who, according to the Bible, will go into a rebuilt temple, claim that he is God and demand to be worshipped from Jerusalem.

He will also build his palace and live in Jerusalem and run the Western world from Jerusalem as the false Christ. In any case, the Bible tells us here that God is going to judge Israel for this and they’re going to pay a big price for the decisions that they’ll be making in this coming peace agreement. Watch the news right now. I’m telling you, we are, I think, living in the last days and these are the signs that will precede the rapture.

According to 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 and verse 3, when they, the unsaved world shall say peace and safety actually the Greek word being security. This is the very terms that were used yesterday by President Bush and these are the words being used today about this peace that when they shall say peace and security in the Middle East then sudden destruction comes upon the world as travail upon a woman with child and they shall not escape. But then it says to us who are believers but you brethren are not in darkness that They should overtake you as a thief.

You were all children of the light and of the day, and we should not be surprised at all by the Lord’s return. I think we’re getting very, very close. Wow. Hope you’re ready to go up. I tease with people. We ought to start doing some rapture practice. Maybe rock to and fro in our heels and toes and flap our arms a little bit. Of course I’m teasing. You don’t have to do any of that to be in the rapture.

The one key to being in the Rapture and also to go to heaven is to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 4, 13 and 14 say that if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, the word believe means to trust, when you trust that Jesus died and paid your sin debt by his death and shed blood was buried and rose again from the bed, you are saved and if If you’re living when Christ returns, you’ll be in the Rapture.

Brad, welcome to Bibleline. You are on the air. Good morning, Pastor Armstrong. Good morning. I have a question for you. I was always at the impression after talking with you and Dr. Inglomann. The Antichrist would be an office after the Vatican and I wish that it would be President Bush since President Bush was there before Pope Benedict.

So anyway, I was going to get your comment on that so I’ll listen to it by radio. Okay. Well, the Antichrist is obviously going to be around before the Rapture but not revealed until after the Rapture. I never said that President Bush was the Antichrist, but just think about this. If the rapture happens in this coming year, in September, let’s say that President Bush and Cheney both are Christians. They’re taken out. then in an instant. Some unknown person, the speaker of the house actually, will become the president of the United States.

And it’ll happen in the blink of an eye. So it could be somewhere down in the power structure, maybe four or five of the top leaders or Christians will be raptured out. Somebody that you don’t even know will be all of a sudden president. And the rapture itself will cause enough of a disruption. that probably a national emergency will be declared, will be in our martial law, whoever’s in power will be the leader, and there’ll be no elections next November, and we’ll be in the tribulation period.

So there’s lots of scenarios here, but I never did say that Bush was the one, but we know that when the rapture takes place, the man then that is in power at that moment will be the antichrist, And it may be that he’ll be issued in, just like when Kennedy was assassinated on the president on the flight back to D.C., Johnson was sworn in as the new president. It can happen just in a matter of seconds. And somebody will be in power.

There will be the integration. But I think we’re watching the end time science. And we thank you for that call. We now have Walter down in Miami, Florida. Walter welcome to my blind and thank you for calling in today when are you doing today good good my question is coming from Daniel 1137 the Bible say that he should regard no God nor shall he nor shall he desire women I was wondering because I heard that the antichrist would be a homosexual is that true or not no I don’t believe so at all and I think that verse gets misread every time I hear it quoted.

It says here, neither shall he regard the desire of women. I think the desire of women that God plans with in a woman is to have a family, to have children, to have a home. And so the Antichrist will disregard a woman’s desire. They’ll be, and we’re already seeing it, where women are fighting in the military. have no special rights above men or men above women. And this is, I think, what it’s talking about, not that he himself does not desire women, but he doesn’t regard the desire that women have, which is God given to have children have a home.

One more question. I believe that I’m a spoon of Bible prophecy, and I believe that the antichrist will come out of the nation of Syria. Do you agree with that? Not at all. The Antichrist will be called the Assyrian, and that’s because he by right of conquest will control all of what was ancient Assyria, not just the country of Syria, but everything that was ancient Assyria, which is obviously Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and Egypt. He’ll control all of that.

And as the leader of all that, he will be called the Assyrian and that’s a title by the right of conquest. He believes that I believe he comes out of the United States of America. Yeah. It’s true that he can come at any particular time. And I know that the Holy Spirit will be taken out of the earth, will be taken away from the earth once the rapture takes place. Yeah, the Holy Spirit will be taken out as an indwelling person and believers.

the Holy Spirit will still be present, but acting as He did in the Old Testament times, and definitely the 144,000, I believe, will be empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the witnessing that they will do. We know that the two witnesses of Revelation 11, I believe, will have the Holy Spirit in them, but it will be the same as in the Old Testament when the Holy Spirit might come and might go, but not permanently involved. in the tribulation period, the Holy Spirit, when he is taken up, we go because he is in us permanently and that’s the Rapture.

And then on the earth he’ll be acting again as he did in the Old Testament times. Okay, I appreciate that, Prowt, can you be safe? Alright, thank you, Doug. What I find fascinating is the we’re looking for, obviously, Jesus the rapture is out. And what I see when I start reading these other Muslim things is that they’re looking for the 12th man in the mighty. But if you lay the scriptures side by side and look at them, the person they’re actually, they’re looking for.

to the Antichrist. You got that right. It’s exactly the fifth of seven year period, he rules and you can go right down the line. And I don’t hear anybody showing the similarities between what we see as the Enterprise and what they see as their savior, and their religion. That’s a great… That’s a great point because you’re absolutely right. The world is going to first receive and go for it a big way, the Antichrist. He will declare to be God and to man to be worshiped that people will.

Well, yeah, it’s just fascinating and I don’t hear so many people expanding on that. Naturally, your show reaches a wide audience and I love you. You speak on that night. I’ll get off the thanks so much and you’re doing a great job. Thank you. Well thank you so much and I’m glad you brought that up for us today because it’s true right after the Rapture. The Antichrist is revealed and he becomes a very powerful world leader and people will worship him.

and it’s exciting of course to know that the the real savior comes at the end of the seven years seven years after the rapture to set up his kingdom here on this earth we’re now going to go to uh… bob in hudson florida and bob welcome to bible and you’re on the air hello bob hello you’re on the iraq thank you you have a question uh… yes i do uh… that’s what thank you very much take my call with regard to second thessalonians No, right here.

Go ahead a second thessalonians 211 I talks about During the tribulation people who have heard the gospel before the rapture will have their hearts hardened and So my question is if someone has heard the gospel it has rejected it And during the tribulation will they have a second chance to change the mind and then and accept price. That’s a good question. And the answer is that they will be blinded. But you know, a lot of people have never heard of Clear Gospel.

I was raised in church for 18 years and never heard one. So I think we have to leave that to God to decide who will get that chance. Let me say goodbye to our Miami audience. But Bob, that is a great question and we know in 2 Thessalonians it tells us that the ones who have heard the truth and have rejected it will be blinded and they’ll believe the lie the Antichrist will tell. But again, I was raised in church for 18 years and I had never heard… I don’t believe I would have been in that category, but when I heard the gospel, wow, it was so different than what I had been preached at for so many years and I instantly recognized that it was the truth and I trusted Christ as my Savior.

Well, we’re going to go to the phone lines. We are excited about being with you and we’re talking to Tommy that was on with us a a little bit ago and we’re going to talk to Tommy right now. So Tommy, welcome. You were talking about the Rapture in 1st Thessalonians 4. Well, it says in verse 17, we which are alive and remain under the coming of the Lord shall be caught up. The word Rapture means caught up. I really am glad the English word Rapture is not there because most people don’t know what the word Rapture means.

They would have to go to the dictionary and find out. And here it says those that are living when Christ returns will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. So it’s clearly talking about the rapture. My question is that in the Second Babylonian that is a practical chapter to show you that everything happens at one time because if the rapture, if that were to refer to the rapture but then it’s bomb timing because the doubt that the load is come after the tribulation.

So again, you’re mistaken, the tribulation period begins in the technical sense at the second coming, but actually in the broader sense in the most every passage it includes the seven years of tribulation that preceded it. And certainly you see that in 1 Thessalonians 5 where it says that they have a Lord who comes as a thief in the night and notice it begins with tribulation, begins with this time of wrath that comes on the earth and tells us that we’re not going to be caught by surprise as a thief but we’ll be caught up and be escaping at that time.

That means we will be there to experience the second coming but as for us it should not happen as a surprise. That’s all the process is referring to and I believe it’s talking to you, to you yourself, note that the after Lord should not be coming to you as a fifth. It is true that it is true that the second command you will be there to receive the Lord, not the rapture that has happened before the coming of Christ.

It is all up in one time. I think that is what the chapter is referring to. Thirdly, disagree with you. If you read the chapter carefully, it talks about us waiting for Christ’s return, not the tribulation period, and for those that are unsaved, the time of wrath and tribulation comes upon them. And it says in verse 9, very clearly in chapter 5, that God has not appointed us to wrath. And whether we are awake or whether we sleep, we’re going to be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and totally escape the tribulation and second, plus Law in Chapter 2 does the same thing.

There’s the departure of the Holy Spirit and then the tribulation period begins with the introduction of the Antichrist being revealed and his entrance into the temple in Jerusalem proclaiming that he’s God and demanding to be worshipped. So I recommend you take a fresh look at it and get back with me. Tommy, thank you so much for your call, but I disagree with you. I think you talked about it in the first half hour. You said we should. No, we’re not. We’re close. We’re close yet the rapture happens first so i’m waiting for the lord to come and take us out i say and uh… You mentioned, you quoted yesterday that President Bush applied or said actually that he was going to guarantee the safety of the Middle East and Israel.

Was that correct? That is correct. part of it yes that is correct and in first that’s only five three it says when they the unsaved say peace and security there for the world in the middle east that then uh… the destruction of the tribulation will come upon the world as a surprise So this is a real sign to be looking for to watch for when the rapture will take place.

Hopefully we’re talking about that the sign for the rapture and there are signs. It’s amazing for so many years. I read books on prophecy where they said there are no signs that is clear in chapter 5 verses 3 and 4 that when the world is talking about peace and safety and King James, but the Greek word is security.

Those are the very terms used by Bush yesterday in guaranteeing a peace and secure environment in the Middle East. And we’re watching, I believe, the in-time events unfolding. And this is, of course, what the Bible said they would be talking about. It could be that we’re really seeing that we’re very close to the rapture because when they say that boom sudden destruction comes upon the tribulation period will come underway because we’ll be raptured out and the tribulation period will be initiated We have Sheila in Richmond, Virginia and Sheila.

You’re on the radio go talking about whether or not the rapture happens before the tribulation period. Yes, and in revelation seven three It says it’s talking about the angels saying not Hurt not the earth neither to see nor the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads and then in revelations nine 3 through 4, it says, and there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth, and unto them was given power as the scorpions of the earth have power.

And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those men which have not the seal of God and their Does that mean I don’t understand I’m confused about that if all the people that have received Jesus have risen up to meet him in heaven if the rapture happens perspect. Then why are there people on the earth with the seal of God in their forehead? Good question.

And the answer is that God is going to continue to have people get saved. in the tribulation period after the rapture. So all the saved this side of the rapture go Isn’t it? up in the Rapture, then all of a sudden the world has no believers. And to crank up that process, he sends back two Old Testament prophets, Kepilah, of Revelation, and they lead 144,000 Jewish men to Christ. It will be God’s Witnesses. And they will lead millions to Christ, as it says in Revelation 7, 9.

I saw a great multitude which no man can kill nations and kinners and tongues, which become saved through their evangelism. So millions and millions of people get saved during that seven years, but those are people that were unsaved as they entered the tribulation period. So that’s what it’s talking about. God, morning, Pastor Hank, how you doing this morning? Good, good. I’m not going to question Revelation chapter 10. Angel gives John the, it says the angel said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples and nations and tongues and kings. Now I know that everyone talks about it being Moses and possibly Elijah during the tribulation period. So where would you figure that John would have to come and prophesy again? Well hang up and listen for your answer. Okay the answer is right there in the book of Revelation.

John has covered the tribulation period and now he swallows up that little book which I believe is the book of Daniel just twelve chapters in length and now he as he takes it into his mouth it’s sweet as honey but it settles it in his stomach and it’s bitter and it’s basically now he understands the things of Daniel and he now will go through the tribulation period again this time making many references to Daniel and phrases and terms in Daniel that that we’re never understood, now become understood as he does it all over again.

So the book of Revelation sweeps across the tribulation several times and here now we have the mix of Daniel in there which was a sealed book and the book of Revelation really unfolds Daniel so that we really know what’s going on. And John now from chapter 11 on is going to make many allusions to the book of Daniel. and you’re center margin and you’ll see what we’re talking about there and that’s what it’s about. He goes through it all over again in the book of Revelation and makes the solution to the book of Daniel.

Dr. Hank Lindstrom. I would like to know is when we’re in heaven, are we going to recognize our loved ones? Absolutely, sure. We’ll recognize one another and enjoy each other forever and ever and ever. They’re looking forward to seeing you. Okay. Where is that like in the Bible?

Where can I read about that? But certainly in first lesson… The Cessalonians 4 talks about those that have died before us and how we’re going to be gathered together with them in the greatest reunion of all time when we meet in the air with all those that have died before us that are believers. And it says, wherefore comfort? One little of these words. That’s a great passage. We also know that’s first. It’s the first of the colonial war. Four versus thirteen through eighteen in particular.

And then we know, for example, in the Matthew 17, that the Mount of Transfiguration, Jesus is seen there on the Mount with Moses and Elijah. Now Peter, James and John are there, and they recognize immediately Moses and Elijah. And I don’t think they had big signs on their next thing. I am Moses and I’m an Elijah. I think there’s something about our new bodies that make us recognizable without ever having met them before. So definitely we’re going to know each other, know people we’ve never known before, and we’ll have that ability once we get our new bodies one day.

Are we going to know the ones that don’t make it to heaven? I think we’ll get one glimpse of them. We’re going to be there at the Great White Throne Judgment Prescribed in Revelation 20. And I believe that we are going to be a part of that judgment. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6, we’ll be judging the world. That’s the unsaved of mankind and we’ll be judging angels. So we are going to be there when the Lord judges these and their son degree of punishment and cast them to hell.

It is going to be kind of frightening if you have your neighbor there and he points his finger at you and says how come he never told me about Christ. I think it is going to be a moment of reality, a wake up that we just blew an opportunity while we were living. But we will, I think we will one like slimps their cast in the lake of fire and it is not until after that event takes place. But the Lord in chapter 21 of Revelation verse 4 comes over and wipes away the tears from our eyes.

So I think it’s going to be a sad moment when we watch people be cast into help. Well, thank you so much for your ministry. You’re welcome. Alright, Gina, bye bye. Yes, I have a question sorry to change the subject There’s a strange phrase Malachi of fourth six and Luke one 17 about Hi to the father being turned towards the children. I wonder what that means Well, I believe it’s talking about the ministry of Elijah when he comes back. And he will actually have a powerful, powerful impact. And many, many who have gone astray will come back to know the Lord and know his word and be turned back to the principles of the Bible.

So I believe that’s what it’s talking about there. in chapter 4 we see Elijah will come back during the tribulation period for the first three and a half years before the Great and Dreadful Day of the Lord which is the last three and a half years and he will obviously have that wonderful impact upon the children and the parents and actually unite families again in the Lord as he brings them to the saving odds of Christ. This includes cars, wealth, health. How do I answer this? The answer is he’s wrong. If you’ll look at James chapter 4, Chris, there’s a great verse here about prayer. It says in James chapter 4 in verse 3 you ask and Receive not Because you ask a miss that you may consume it upon your lusts So if you’re praying to get your lust fulfilled you want that car you want that big bank account You want this and that the other guys gonna say no So that’s clear as you’re gonna get it Chris James for three check it out.

We hear that loud and clear in the background, but go ahead and turn it down and ask your question. I have a question about I want to know the Biblical view of marriage and divorce. I really want to know because my understanding is the only way a Christian can get a divorce. both, deeply clear, is through death and I think that’s just, I think that’s just very, because I understand if I love anyone, I suppose to forgive, so I don’t know any other way.

way. Okay, very good. Michael, the answer is at death you don’t get a divorce, but you are separated from the other. But you’re free from the marriage bond once you have a death of a partner and in 1 Corinthians 739 it says you’re allowed then to remarry. But only in the Lord you’re supposed to marry another believer. Actually believers are not to marry unbelievers. And so if you have your partner die you’re free to remarry. But then you are to marry another believer according to the passage.

But we have a great book in our Resource Center and I think you will find very interesting. Chuck Swendall wrote a good one called Strike the Original Match. We have that available and it has the best treatment that I have ever read about divorce and remarriage. So when you are talking about that and he is very clear in the book, he is not writing to give you a way out of a relationship. He’s talking about if you find yourself in a situation where you have had a divorce and You’re the innocent party.

What does the Bible say and it is a very fair treatment? I think you’ll enjoy that book, but definitely the Bible does talk about divorce if you read doodle on me chapter 23 It talks about Moses gave a writing of divorcement and that then they could remarry So you might want to check that out as well But that book by Chuck Swindall I think is the best treatment I’ve ever seen. It does a great job on the whole topic.

But the book is really written to strike that original match and keep your marriage together. But if you find yourself in a bad situation, which sometimes you can’t do much about, you have some good answers from scripture by Chuck Swindall.
