We are also excited about the fact that we are leaving for Israel, February 25th, coming back on March 7th. That is leaving on a Monday coming back on a Friday. We will miss one Sunday. We will be 12 full days in Israel. It will be trip number 15 for me. I would love to have you go. We are going to have an exciting time. We will be baptizing in the Jordan River. We will be going to the tomb of Christ, the hill of Calvary, the sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea.
You’ll see the land of Israel from east to west and north to south. It’s really quite remarkable. We’re all going to go up on the top of the Mount of Transfiguration. In Matthew 17, you read about how Christ went up on that mountain and Peter, James and John were with him and he was transformed and they saw him as he will be in all of his glory at hisYang coming. Exciting. We’ll stand right there. And we’ll see Armageddon. We’ll see where Elijah hung out, where he killed the prophets of Baal.
And we’re going to see so many things that are so exciting. This past trip we were there in March of this year. We went to the very brook where David picked up his stones that he used to kill Goliath. Everyone in our group picked up a stone to take home as a souvenir of that experience. You know, it’s amazing. The Bible just becomes alive when you go and I’d love to have you go with me. That’s this coming February 25th.
Everything you need to know is right on the internet. Go to my website, BibleLineMinistries.org or dot com. Click on Bibleline News on the home page. You’ll be able to pull up the full brochure and also you’ll be able to pull up the full itinerary of the trip and you can print them out. That’ll be a six pages total. We’ll have great hotels, great meals, great experiences. We’ll fly with the safest airline in the world. El Al, the Israeli airline and we want you on board.
This is a… Coming up on Christmas really fast here. If you’re in driving distance, you’re welcome to come and worship with us this coming Sunday. It will be the third Sunday of the month while I have our Christmas celebration service. We’ll also have a wonderful dinner lunch right after the service and you’re invited to be my guest. Come bring your Bible, your family, your appetite and join us at 1030 for the service and then stay for a wonderful lunch.
We’re going to have some great food. One gentleman who loves to cook told me he’s bringing a big pan of lasagna. We’ll have roast beef, we’ll have turkey, we’ll have ham, we’ll have just about everything. It’s going to be good. I hope you’ll come. We’d love to have you. You’re most welcome to be my guest this coming Sunday. Also, we have some specials here in our bookstore and you can of course go online but you can call. We have the 20 CDs that are so great in evangelism how permanent is your salvation.
These would be a great gift to somebody at Christmas, maybe place it in a card or with a gift and give it up to those that are unsaved. One lady came out last year and got a whole pile of these to give out to her employees and her customers and she was so happy because it was a real tool to evangelize Well, in any case, we’ll give you the 20 How Permanent is Your Salvation, 50 of our best track, Am I Going to Heaven?
And the book on evangelism, handbooked the personal evangelism for a gift of $100. That’s about $120 value and a gift of $100 to help Bibleline and we’ll send that right out to you. By the way, we still have the Zunderevin, pictorial Bible in Cyclopedia, not dictionary, and this is a marvelous 5 volume set, 18 pounds total in weight and it’s a $200 set but we have it for a special Christmas gift offer of $110 to Bibleline. We also have the systematic theology by Lewis Berry Shafer, the founder of Dallas Theological Seminary.
Eight volumes originally now published in four, and you’ll get the complete works of Lewis Berry Shafer there for a gift of 110. That also normally sells for 180. Those are some of the Christmas specials call, and our operators will be able to help you maybe get the gift that you want to get for someone else or for yourself here at Christmas time. We’re going to turn to our Bibles for a few minutes and then we’re going to go and take our callers.
You’re welcome to call in here. We would love to hear from you today here on Bible and the phone was 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. In Luke chapter 2, We have the story of the birth of Christ recorded. And we have here the shepherds abiding in the fields, keeping watch over their flock. Verse 7, verse 8 tells us, and there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. What’s so exciting is that shepherds still watch over their flocks in that place right there outside of Bethlehem.
And this is a fascinating place to visit. And there are several traditional sites where they claim the angel may be announcement to the shepherds. And I’ve been to all of those, and in any case, somewhere very close to Bethlehem. This took place. And here they were, watching their flocks, The angel of the Lord came upon them and the glory of the Lord shone round about them and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not, for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people.
What is interesting here is that the message of the gospel and the message of Christ is universal. It is for every man, woman and child that would ever come into this world. Jesus Christ is God who took on human flesh in order to become our Savior and it’s a message of glad tidings. Good news to everybody on the planet. Notice it says here, I’m bringing you this message, good tidings of great joy which shall be to All people so it wasn’t limited to one race or one group of people or just those in Israel or just the Jewish people it was to everyone.
And then it says here in the angel said to the shepherds for unto you is born this day. In the city of David which is Bethlehem that’s the city out of which David came. David, who was king of Israel, David, the one that God promised that the Messiah would come of His lineage. And sure enough, Jesus Christ of the flesh is related back to King David. Isn’t that amazing? When you read the genealogy in Luke, you have Mary’s genealogy, and it takes you back to King David through his son, Nathan.
When you read Matthew’s Gospel, you have the genealogy of Jesus Christ through Joseph. Joseph is right back to David through Solomon, so both Mary and Joseph were both related to King David. God had promised to David that the Messiah would one day sit upon his throne ruling over Israel as king of the Jewish people and that he would of course come of his lineage, his descendants. Of course at the same time Jesus is God. No doubt about it, the Bible makes it very clear that God was to come and take on human flesh.
In Isaiah chapter 9 verse 6 it says, For unto us a child is born unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God. Let me repeat that. The Mighty God. The Mighty God. Jesus is the Mighty God. And then it says he’s the Everlasting Father, the Everlasting Father. And then lastly it says the Prince of Peace. Jesus Christ is wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.
Clearly he’s God according to Isaiah 9.6. Well, this wonderful verse says, for unto who is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. So there are three things here in this wonderful verse in Luke 2, 11. Jesus is, notice, a Savior. There’s only been one Savior. Islam doesn’t offer a Savior. You’re on your own. The only sure ticket to get to paradise according to Islam is to be killed or martyred in a John amazing otherwise chances are you may not make it Buddhism Confucianism none of the world religions offer a Savior Only the Bible only Christ is that Savior and Jesus made it plain.
He said I am the way. I am the truth I am the life of no man Comeeth under the Father But by me there’s only one Savior and Jesus is that Savior It’s not Allah, it’s not any of the founders of all the world religions, they’re all dead men and none of them can help you. Only Jesus can bring you salvation. And every one of us needs salvation. That’s right. Every one of us are a need of a Savior.
Every one of us have sinned and have come short of the glory of God. Secondly, he says here that Jesus not only is the Savior, but he is the Messiah, the Christ. The word Christ comes from the Greek word Christos, completely equivalent to the word Messiah from the Old Testament. And so Jesus is the promised Savior that would come into the world. Isn’t that a great thing? It’s wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. that lastly it says he is the Lord. That means he is God.
He is the Lord himself who would come to the earth. Then the angel told the shepherds, and this shall be a sign unto you. You shall find the baby wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger. Well, that is unique. Swaddling clothes. I never knew this until my first trip to Israel and there I discovered that swaddling clothes were the narrow linen strips used in preparing a body for burial. These were burial claws. All the other babies in that area were wearing pampers or huggies or one of the other name brand I’m kidding, of course.
This was the only baby wrapped in swallowing clothes. That’s what would be a sign. If there were other babies that were born that night or in that particular time when the shepherds came, they could easily identify Jesus because he was wrapped in… A picture of this child coming to the world to die, to pay for your sins and mine. And the moment we trust him as Savior were saved. Then it says in verse 13, and suddenly there was with the angel Luke 2, 13.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly hosts praising God and saying Glory to God in the highest on earth, peace good will toward men. That is, it says here, saying, you know, most people think that there were choirs of angels here that sang to the shepherds in the field, not so. In fact, there’s not a verse anywhere in the Bible that says that angels sing. Not one verse, that’s right. Now if you have one of these modern translations that accommodate whatever people want to hear, They might translate it saying, but the Greek word does not mean saying.
It means exactly what it says. Say, can you imagine this huge multitude of angels saying together in male voices as angels always appear as male in sex. And here they are saying together in unison, glory to God in the highest and on earth peace good will toward men. They didn’t sing it. You can’t find a verse in the Bible that says an angel ever say anything. Isn’t that amazing? And I think that some of these small points tell us how we just really aren’t paying good attention to what the Bible says.
You might have thought you knew the Christmas story well and therefore you never pick up that portion of the Bible and read that portion again but there’s a lot here that people get wrong every year. What’s scary is if you get the plan of salvation wrong, then obviously you’re in trouble because you won’t go to heaven unless you understand that Jesus alone paid your sin debt and Jesus alone is the Savior. And unless you trust Jesus alone, as your only hope of heaven, that you will not be saved.
Well, I hope that you are paying attention to what the Bible says, and I hope you have trusted Christ as your very own Savior. I’m Dr. Englunds from Mrs. Bibleline, and we are definitely wanting you to go with us. By the way, this program is live. We are calling, we’re right now on the air live from Tampa, Florida, and it’s Tuesday, We welcome you to listen to all of the programs this week. So, by the way, on the Israel trip, you can sign up as long as there’s openings right up until the last day before we go.
But there’s going to be a price increase on December 11th. So that’s today, I guess. So this is, I guess, maybe the last day. I forgot how the calendar’s crept up on me. And so you can still sign up. So it’s not too late to go to Israel, but this was the cut-off day. Well, time is moving so quickly, isn’t it? It’s hard for me to believe that we’re already at the 11th of December. Well, we’re going to take our colors.
We thank you for tuning in today. Welcome to all of you down in Miami. We’re now in Miami on 1080 on the AM down, WM CU, and we welcome all of you that are listening down there. Somebody told me Sunday that was down in Miami last week and I was coming in loud and clear as they drove around down in Miami listening to the program. Well, give us a call 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We have our first caller is James, I his brother Benjamin and he’s in Clearwater.
Benjamin, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the ear. Good morning. The Bible talk about the two antichrists or the two beasts. One is the first prophet, the other one is the antichrist. Which one is the one sit down in the temple, He is God. That is the Antichrist himself will go into the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem which I believe will be built right after the Rapture. The fact that all the preparations have been made tells me I believe we’re close to the Rapture but it will be built immediately following the Rapture and the Antichrist according the 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 4 in particular says this man of sin.
The son of perdition, that’s the antichrist, will actually go into the temple in Jerusalem and proclaim that he’s God and demand to be worshiped. And so it is the antichrist who is also described in Revelation chapter 13 verses 1 through 10. So I hope that helps Benjamin. It looks like we have a dial tone, so that means he apparently got his answer. But thank you Benjamin for calling in the Antichrist, will be a counterfeit of the genuine Christ, and he will come and present himself in Jerusalem in Malachi, in the Old Testament, chapter 3, verse 1.
It says that the Messiah would come suddenly to his temple, and that is exactly where the Antichrist will come also. He’ll come to the temple, make his proclamation, demand to be worship, and then the false prophet, his cohort, will cause people to receive his mark in their right hand or in their forehead without which you will not be able to buy or sell. And we’re almost there. I’m telling you, we’re pushing very rapidly toward a cashless society. We have an anonymous caller from Delan, Florida, and we’re going through Delan right now.
Welcome to Bibleline. You’re I hope we have a a call in there. It looks like we have a dial tone and that’s what I have here So please call back mr. Anonymous or mrs. Anonymous or mis-a-n-un-us From the land floor to somehow we Don’t have that call so Give us a call back and we’ll we’ll get you up on the air Thank you for trying anyway Okay, we have here Some offer questions, I think. We’ll go ahead and take one or two here.
Jonathan in Tampa, Florida calls in and he leaves this offer question, when Jesus comes back at the second coming, will he be gigantic in size so that every eye will see him? And the answer is no. He’ll be in the same size that he was when he came 2000 years ago. But he will come back with all of his glory, with all of his angels. And according to Matthew 24, he will light the heavens from one end of the sky to the other, just like lightning streaks across the sky and lights up the heavens.
Everybody will look up and they won’t say, I wonder what’s happening. I think they’ll know this is the Lord himself coming back. So Matthew 24, take a look at it. Verse 25, 26, 27, all talk about how the Lord will be seen and every eye on the earth I will see him. Check that out. We now have Brad in Clearwater Florida. Brad, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning Pastor Lindstrom. I have a question for you. I was wondering the Antichrist, is he going to be, I didn’t know which time is in tribulation as to when he would receive that wound in the head that would cause people to believe that he’s got, I’ll hang up with some of your response by radio.
Alright, Brad, it doesn’t tell us exactly at what time, but I believe that it may be a political wound. You know, if you read Revelation there it talks about seven heads and how one of the heads is wounded. Well, I believe that it’s talking about seven world powers and each of them, of course, I have come and gone, but the last one, which is the one that the Antichrist will rule of, speaks about it being wounded. And I think it may look like this guy was politically dead and then comes back to life and becomes this powerful leader.
And I really think it’s more than a physical wound to his body. But definitely we know that when John F. Kennedy was assassinated he had a wound of the head some speculated that John F. Kennedy would come back from the dead and possibly be the Antichrist. And then also when Reagan was shot people were wondering could this be this but I don’t really believe it’s going to be a physical wound by a bullet or anything else. I think it’s a political wound and he survives and becomes a…
The most powerful man on the earth and he’s empowered by self. So thank you Brad for calling in. We now have Carl right here in Tampa. Carl welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the earth. Yeah, Hank. I just had a question and we’ll pick that they couldn’t sit and wait for us and I’ll just hang up on this. All right. Very good question. Carl. The answer is we have all of the Holy Spirit that we’re ever going to get at the moment of salvation that we’re in 12th, not Holy Spirit.
And we don’t get, you know, five, six of the Holy Spirit. or 7-8 or 99% we get all the Holy Spirit but he doesn’t have all of us. So a person who is yielded to the Lord is then filled with the Holy Spirit in the sense that he controls our bodies and that we are yielded to him. I think Ephesians 5-18 is probably the best first to explain that where it says be, ye filled with the Holy Spirit and be not drunk with wine where it is excess.
So if you become drunk with wine, the alcohol controls you, but if you are filled with all the spirit, you’re controlled by the Holy Spirit. So good to be with you today. Thank you all for tuning in. If you can help Bibleline for this month of December, we are Lister supported and we could use your help. We really could, and you might want to call and give a gift to Bibleline. You can also ask for envelopes to be sent with our address on it.

We’re going to come right back. So don’t go away. We’ll be right back in just a few minutes.elong Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. Well I’m Dr. England Sermann, it’s so good to be with you and we do thank you for tuning in to Bible on today.
It’s Tuesday and this is December 11th, so I guess this is the cut-off day on our trip to Israel which means cut-off only in that you won’t get the special price. It’s a hundred dollars more. So today and throughout now until we go to Israel the price will be 2750 per person instead of the 2650. But you can still go and hopefully that won’t deter you. But if you have any questions please call us and we’ll try to make all those things clear for you.
And we definitely want you to go. It’s trip number 15 for me. We’re going to have a super duper time leaving on February 25th on Monday coming back on Friday, March 7th. I’d love to have you be a part of my trip. We’ll be studying the Bible all along the way. We’ll be baptizing in the Jordan River. We’ll have the Lord’s Supper there at the Tomb of Christ in the garden. It’s going to be beautiful. We’ll have so many good experiences to come back and talk about.
And in case we hope that you’ll also take advantage of our website. You know, we have the not only radio programs there. We have our television programs there. and we have our worship services there. And a lot of people are finding these worshipmerga services from all over the planet. And we have 151 countries that have logged on and people are discovering not only radio but television and also our worship services and you can too. Check that out. Again, we’re listeners supported.
If you’d like to help Bibleline during this month of Christmas, be a great time to give a gift to Bible and as you think about giving a gift to the Lord Bible and would be a great way to do that. We’re now going to in just a minute rejoin other stations and go back and do the second half hour but if you can tell your friends about it even if they don’t live in the area where there’s a radio station they can go on the internet.
And they can catch this program 24 hours a day, seven days a week from wherever they are. I know we have those watching our worship services in the military, in the barracks, watching a whole group of them at one time. And we have people in Europe and in Canada and other places around the world watching the worship services on the Internet. the Internet. Check it out by the line ministries dot org or dot com and we hope that you will definitely do that.
We’re about ready to join the stations now that have been on break. We’re going to do the second half of Bible line. I hope you will enjoy the second half hour and we’re going to start that in just another second here. So hold on. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-36 3771 that’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back for a night break and this is Bible and it’s great to be with you.
Thanks for tuning in. It’s December 11th. It’s Tuesday. We’re glad to be with you and hopefully you’re enjoying Bible and today. Also the Luzspari Schafer set, again this was originally 8 volumes, it’s 4 volumes. Now all 8 are in those 4. It’s normally $180. We have that for a gift of 110 to buy blind. And then we have the evangelism special for Christmas, the 20 CDs, How Perman is Your Salvation.
That just really do work when you give them to somebody, if they actually listen all the way through, there’s a great chance that they’ll trust the Lord. We see this so often. We’ll give you the 20 How Perman is Your Salvation CDs, 50 of our best track, Am I Going to Heaven? And then the book on evangelism helped to actually lead us all to Christ. And that’s a value of 120 for a gift of 100 to Bibleline. We’ll ship that right out and that’ll help you evangelize over the Christmas holidays.
We’re now going to go to the phone lines again. this time we have been in these in new kint virginia new kint virginia and uh… then welcome to bible on your own ear oh doctor lunchroom yes uh… i’m looking for where the curse of the diet in the bible well it’s in jeremiah chapter thirty two i believe only scoot over there if i can’t find it for you real quick uh… yeah it’s uh… interesting uh… on the line of uh…
Solomon, there was a curse because of Jacob, or Konaiah, and because of him, God says, nobody of your seed will ever sit upon the throne of David. Of course, Joseph was on the line of Konaiah. If Joseph had been the Father, then Jesus could not have ever sat upon the throne, ruling over Israel. We find that Jesus was related to King David through Mary, but the throne was passed on because Joseph was not the real father yet. Being the stepfather he could pass that along to Jesus.
So it’s back there in Jeremiah and I think it’s chapter 32 and it tells us there that that God was very upset. With Konaiah and actually pronounced the judgment upon him. I’m almost there. Let me see if I can find this for you. And I’m having trouble finding that. Here it is in chapter 22, not 32, chapter 22, verse 29 and 30 have the curse on Konaiah’s line. Okay, back in Ruth on page 318, both wells, and let the house be like the house of Phariseh came down, and Tamer bear unto Judah the seed of which the Lord woman would, I’m trying to figure out the excuses, or from the, it gets me confused whether the, Well, there were several curses on the, you know, Satan didn’t want the Messiah to come into the world.
We know that God had first promised that the seed of the woman would be the Messiah coming without a human father and that he would be the sinless Son of God and that the curse of Adam would not be passed upon him because he did not have a human father. Therese, we know, was an illegitimately born son, and according to Deuteronomy 23, a bastard could not enter into the congregation for ten generations. So we really have a silence on the promise of the Messiah for ten generations, and David turns out to be the tenth generation from Therese, and then God announces again this from Sias coming of his lineage and so on.
But that was a curse also upon the line. And Ferez was number one and you just read that listing there in Ruth chapter four and you’ll find that David turns out to be generation number 10. You’re a genius. Okay, everybody give you some money. I called you and asked you about Zola anyway. Yesola was with us in January and I think two months later he went home to heaven and we were glad that we had the opportunity to have him with us just about two months before he went to glory.
Well, thank you Ben for calling in. I appreciate the minute you’re doing and I’ll continue to support you and I’ll have to do it. All right, God bless you. Thank you so much. And basically that’s the only means we have a support and December would be a good month for you to help us out here at Bible. And if you want to give a gift, you can do it by credit card over the phone and or you can mail a gift.
But this is the last month of the year and we certainly would like to come out with everything paid up current and your gift to Bible on this time would be a wonderful Christmas gift and would help us out greatly. now we’re going to go to john in uh… seminal florida and uh… john welcome to bob on your own the air good morning dr hank uh… yesterday in the same time there was uh… add for a church where it that come talk to you kim daniel jon to the profit uh…
i don’t think people are getting the qualification to become a proffer their school or certification i don’t understand it I think they self-proclaimed themselves as prophets and I would watch out for anybody who calls himself a prophet today. In 1 Corinthians 13 verses 8 through 10, the gift of prophecy was the cease when the New Testament record was completed. Obviously, there are no prophets right now. I would want to waste my time to go listen to somebody who claims that they’re a prophet.
And yet in a number of churches there are those who claim to be prophets. The pastors will call themselves prophets. And I think this is very, very unscriptural. And it’s a tip-off for us who know what the Bible has to say to stay away from those folks. Sir, thank you very much. Good. Thank you. All right. Thank you, John. And appreciate that call. We have my buddy, my atheist friend down in South Florida, and here he is, Harold. Welcome to my mine and Merry Christmas.
Happy Hanukkah. All right, very good. How’s that? Excellent. Listen, I want to say something real fast. I turned on to all your people that will always listen to you, and they didn’t know that you’re on again. So I gave him the message. Wonderful. Yeah. And as a matter of fact, I got to talk fast, I got an important subject. But one of my own teammates, Bola, that bullied with him for a year or more, I never knew that he was a steady listener.
Oh my. And I mentioned your name, he says you speak to Dr. Lindstrom. So anyway, they’re going to be tuned in because you’re loud and clear. Well, that’s what I’m hearing. Now here the signal is very powerful and it’s really loud and clear down in South Florida now on the WMCU 1080 on the AMDOW and we’re excited about that. Very loud and clear and you do have a magnetic voice. Now let me get to my subject because I’ve been listening.
You know I and Jesus are Jewish. Would you agree to that? I believe I know Jesus is and I’m taking your word for it. So I’m a Jewish atheist, but anyway, we’re both Jewish. There’s no conflict, but let me bring up today. I’m going to ask you a question, Dr., are you a Christian? I am a Christian by the way it’s defined in the Bible. You know, the early believers were called Christians. First, that says the book of Acts at Antioch.
And so that’s where it came from. The term has been so misused though. I think a lot of people who call them, so those Christians are not. So I prefer to be called as the believer in Jesus as my Savior. Okay. Now this is what I’ve been hearing now on, on of course with this debate and everything. Joel Osteen, I gather you heard of him. He believes in Jesus. He preshages. And a minister said he’s not a Christian. He’s a heretic.
Now he did say he believes in Jesus. The other hand, his next interview was when Rump was his name, Matt Romney. He believes he’s a Mormon. He believes in Jesus. He said it in his speech. We all got children, I believe, in Jesus. They asked the other guy, I believe his name is Minister Knackleby. Huckleby. And the reporter says, is the Nickwami Christian? And the answer was that he gave, he says, you have to ask them that. You have to ask him that.
My question is, why are they challenging these people that say they believe in Jesus, they follow Jesus? Why aren’t they? and believe in Jesus. Why are they challenged? Why is one a heretic? One says, well, do you have to ask him? The answer is, of course, that there are those who present a different Jesus and the Jesus of the Bible. And the Jesus of Mormonism is not the Jesus of the Bible, not even close. And in many times, the Jesus that people are proclaiming that It seemed to be absolutely mainstream Christianity aren’t presenting the same Jesus as the Jesus of the Bible either.
So you have to ask yourself who is Jesus? And according to the Bible, he’s God who took on human flesh and he came as the only Savior, the exclusive Savior of the world. And to be saved, you have to recognize that you cannot save yourself and you trust solely and completely in Jesus to get you to heaven. The amazing thing is of course with Joel Olstein in his interview with Larry King Live when asked if people that didn’t believe in Jesus would they go to hell, he said he didn’t know.
And he apparently wasn’t very sure about whether you had to trust Jesus to go to heaven because Apparently you wouldn’t go to hell if you didn’t believe in Jesus. Obviously, that’s not the Jesus of the Bible. That sounds like that first one was probably on target there. If you can’t give clear answers on who Christ is and what is required for salvation, then obviously, you’re not a Christian. I would say that most groups, especially the cults, the Jesus of Jehovah’s Witnesses is not the Jesus of the Bible.
The Jesus of Christian science is not the Jesus of the Bible. The Jesus of the seven-eyed Genesis is not the Jesus of the Bible and so on and so on and so on. And one easy way to detect whether you have the right Jesus or not is to ask yourself, Because the Jesus you believe in saying that you can be saved by what you do or… The only way to be saved is by trusting in what he did for you.
And of course the answer is Christ exclusively and completely paid for all of your sins. And when you trust in him you’re saved. Christ says, come unto me, all he that laboring are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. And in John 3 16 he said, whosoever believeth in Christ should not perish, I might have everlasting life. So I was raised in Christianity and I was raised with the wrong Jesus being presented. The Jesus that I had heard about in my church was a weakling, a Mr.
Milk Toast, one who was frightened of his own shadow, one that was impotent and unable to do much. And when I was confronted with the Bible, I found out that he is obviously the greatest is a superhero that has ever existed. He is actually God in a human body. He had the power to lay down his life. He had the power to take it up again. He had the power to create the universe. Jesus, according to John 1, is the Creator that he is God and that he existed prior to the creation of Genesis 1 and 1, and that he is eternal and that he will be be around forever and ever and ever.
His words also will be around forever and ever and ever. As Jesus said, Heaven or She will pass away, but my words shall never pass away. So we really are in a crazy time now when people don’t know who Jesus is. The Bible warns about in the last days in particular in Matthew 24 Christ said, Be careful, do not be deceived because many will come along saying that Jesus is the Christ but deceived many because they don’t really identify him as the Jesus of the Bible.
And I think that a lot of people have accepted a false Christ and that’s unfortunate. Alright, a first question to add to that. I hear all these people say that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, but none of them ever complete the sentence. And what I hear from you is that the only way to go to heaven, they don’t complete it. They just say, well, Christ is my Savior. Should they not complete that? But you just preached a little while ago?
I am the way the truth delighted only through me. I’m trying to remember. Yes, absolutely. Why shouldn’t they say that? They stopped short. Well I think maybe because they don’t believe that. Maybe they don’t accept the Jesus of the Bible, which a lot of folks apparently say, well, that Jesus isn’t the only way and that there are other ways to heaven. And they deny his deity and say he’s not God who took on flesh. The Messiah clearly would be Isaiah 9, 6, said that the child that would be born would be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, and that he would come in a human body twice, the first time to pay for the sins of the world, the second time to bring peace on the earth and rule over the earth as King with israel being the head nation which is
i think near to come to pass here were uh… anticipating it because the jewish people are back in the land again for the first time after two thousand years of being dispersed how might hear that they should really complete what you’re saying i am the way the truth alive right did they say that i believe they should herald and i i sure do thank you for calling today it’s good to talk to you and we’re praying that harrow will trust the war to save your uh…
soon we have uh… Jimmy Pastor Jimmy from Oldsmar, Florida. Pastor Jimmy. Welcome to Bibleline. That’s right. Thank God there’s somebody out there that knows how to rightly divide the word truth and you are the man My question is in my Bible study I found out that Paul was a member of the Sanhedrin so What happened to his wife? We don’t hear anything about that to be a member of the Sanhedrin Sanhedrin I understand that had to have a male child.
Is that correct or incorrect? I know that Apparently his wife it was the deceased and he chose not to remarry and he makes a couple of hints at that in a couple of places in Corinthians in that letter that he had Apparently been widowed. I think his wife must have died and he He definitely in those difficult days of persecution upon Christians, he decided not to remarry because of the difficulty of trying to… He could not do that. About whether he ever had children, I do not have a clue.
I do not know anything in the Bible that would tell us whether he had left any children behind. I do not think he did. That is correct. None of these around today have met the criteria. Jesus of course appeared to Paul on the Damascus Road. Then later apparently personally taught him it says in relationship with one in Arabia for three years. for three years. Paul received all that he learned directly from the Lord and he said that when he finally met with the other apostles in Jerusalem, they added nothing to what he knew.
He obviously was on the same page with him but also knew it independently of them Well I appreciate your good work there. Just so many people do not know how to rightly handle or divide the word of truth. They’ll take a scripture from here and a scripture from there. They’ll make a doctrine out of it but study the show that I’ve approved. They could learn a lot more if they would just listen to you too. Thank you for your time.
Keep up the good work. God bless you. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning, Dr. Hank. First of all in light of all the exposing of this false teaching, I just want to mention Second Timothy 4 verse 3 says for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine But after their own lust shall they heat themselves teachers having itching ears. I think that’s Definitely true in Christianity today But I on that I just wanted to ask what your thoughts were when Jesus said Many are called but fewer chosen.
I know a lot of people use that as you can’t choose Jesus and this and that. I just wonder what you had to say about that. Well, on the doctrine of election, God has chosen before the foundations of the earth to save all that would believe. He chose not to save those who would not believe. As the old Moody would say it, the whosoever wills of the elect and the whosoever won’t are the non-elect. So when it says many are called, it really means basically God is invited everybody to be saved.
For God’s love the world, John 3 16 says that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever is open to everyone to put their trust in Christ. But then it becomes limited because it says that whosoever, believeth in him, should not perish but have eternal life. So God chose to save those that would believe or trust in Christ and they would be saved and they would be saved eternally. But the opposite is also true that if you don’t believe, you will perish and you’ll not have eternal life.
So that’s where the line is drawn, and God has predetermined that. That’s great. That’s very clear then that the many is the whole, the every person on the earth. Every person can be saved, but only those that believe are chosen. Oh, Louisa. All right. Thank you, Dr. Hank. All right. Thank you, Matthew. It’s great to be with you all today. We are coming up on the end of the program and we’ve had some great callers and some off-air questions.
We definitely want to remind you about the Israel trip and that’s leaving February 25th coming back March 7th, 12 days in Israel. It will be trip number 15 for me. We’ll have a wonderful time for morning until night opening the Bible, talking about the events of the Bible right where they took place and we’ll baptize in the Jordan River. We’ll go to the hill of Calvary. We’ll see the tomb of Christ. We’ll see Jerusalem. We’ll see. We’re going to go on the top of the Mount of Transfiguration.
We’ll see the Sea of Galilee. We’re going to have so many wonderful experiences. I hope you’ll plan to go. And you can call and we’ll help you through the process. Not too late. December is, of course, a wonderful month. This is a great time, a month of giving gifts. When the wise men gave, they gave exclusively to Christ. Most people, when they give, don’t give anything to Christ. So why not put Christ on your shopping list and… One way you can help Bibleline is to give a gift to the Lord this Christmas to a Bibleline and help us out. That would be wonderful. In any case, we would like to thank you in advance for your prayers and for your gifts and for your support of the Bibleline program.
We are excited about people getting saved through this program and we pray that everybody listening right now has trusted Christ and received that salvation. It’s a gift and the key word his trust. You have to trust that he died and shed his blood and paid your sin debt and full. And when you receive the payment that he made for you at the cross by trusting him as your only means of salvation, then God saves you and he saves you eternally.
