And we’re going to get into the Bible for a few minutes and we’re going to go of course to the phone lines. You’re welcome to Dallas Up here at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to turn to Luke’s For just a moment and here we find in Luke 2 that the angels announced at the birth of Christ Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace good will toward men and Some say what happened what happened? There is no peace on this planet What happened to the peace that was promised and that’s a great question But you know that peace has been postponed because Christ was rejected and went to the cross and died to pay for the sins of the world.

Jesus then went back to heaven, but He is coming again and we believe He is coming soon and when He comes He will bring peace on earth good will toward men seven years after the rapture at the second coming of Christ. Jesus Christ will establish peace first in Jerusalem. And then Isaiah tells us that peace will flow like a river to the ends of the world. It’s exciting. And we believe that we’re coming close. What is interesting is it just prior to the Lord coming back, even just prior to the Rapture.

It tells us about the world talking about peace, but it’s a false peace. And it says, when they shall say, 1 Thessalonians 5-3, when they the world, the unsaved, say peace and safety or peace and security is the real better translation from the Greek. Peace and security, which we’re seeing talked about right now with this road map to peace in the Middle East and the different talks about how to bring peace in this world. We’re finding people are talking about it.

Could it be that we’re really right on the edge? The precipice of Christ coming back first to Rapture us out and then seven years later to bring final peace here on this planet. But it tells us there that they will declare peace and safety or security. Then sudden destruction comes upon them as travail upon a woman with a child and they shall not escape. In other words, not peace but war, tribulation will come on the earth. the most troublesome time the world will ever experience past, present, or future is about to happen right after the rapture.

And Jesus nailed it when he talked about in 1924 that it would begin with wars and rumors of wars. And nation would be coming against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And all of this would be a part of the world as we enter the tribulation period. I’m glad I’m leaving and I won’t be here for those terrible days that are looming ahead. The Bible certainly predicted exactly what we see in our news today. But Jesus will come back. I love Isaiah 9.6.

Did you know that that is a prophecy written 740 years before Jesus came the first time? And it tells us in Isaiah 9, 6, unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government should be upon his shoulder. And it says there, his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. The Prince of Peace, the Prince of Peace, Jesus is the Prince of Peace. And until he comes, there will be no peace on this planet according to the Bible.

It says in verse 7 of Isaiah chapter 9, and of the increase of his government and peace, there shall be no end. In other words, when Jesus comes back, he will rule over the earth. And he will bring peace on earth, goodwill toward men. Everybody on the earth will experience this peace. Isn’t that exciting? Well, we’re certainly excited about it because we believe we’re getting close. But yet, the world is going to be punished into war, there will be no peace.

When Jesus was rejected it is interesting that the Bible really tells us exactly what I am saying here. I want you to turn with me to Luke’s Gospel now. We are going to look at chapter 19. Here we have an interesting story where we find Christ is rejected at this point in this ministry in Luke chapter 19. And here it says, and when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen, saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Peace, and look at this very carefully now, this is Luke 1938. It says, Peace in Heaven and Glory in the Highest. Now that’s different than what we just read over there in Luke chapter 2 at the birth of Christ, the angels announced, glory to God, and let me just get that exact quote here for you. Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men. Well here it talks about peace in heaven, not on the earth.

Why? Because Christ was rejected. He was now going to go to the cross. He’s coming down the slopes of the Mount of Olives. upon entering the temple, the Jewish leadership rejected him. They plotted his death and it was just a few days later on the preparation day of the Passover that Jesus Christ died to pay for your sins and mine by his death, his burial, his resurrection from the dead, that Christ died and shed his blood. My death and shed blood paid years so total sinned that so that you and I could be absolutely sure of going to heaven.

Well, we know there’s a day coming when there will be peace, but before Christ comes back there will be no peace. And the Bible says that there will be war. And there is obviously right now numerous nations that are actually at war with one another. Jesus said that right after the Rapture in Matthew 24 during the tribulation period in those first years even there will be wars and rumors of wars. Nation will come against nation kingdom against kingdom. We’re already seeing that begin to develop.

Aren’t you excited? I think we’re getting close to when the Lord is going to take us out. I don’t know when, but I know he’s coming. And the Bible says when you begin to see these things come to pass, then lift up your heads and look up because your redemption draws nine. The greatest news I ever heard was that as a teenager, eighteen years of age, I heard that eternal life was the gift of God. Amazing. For me, I celebrated eighteen Christmases and never knew what the gift of God was.

I was always kind of pointed to the tree and under the tree, I’d look for packages that might have my name on them. That was where I was focused. But later I discovered that the real gift of Christmas is Christ himself and he was nailed to the tree. And so instead of looking under the tree, we need to look on the tree where Christ died. Paid your sin that in full was buried in rose again from the dead. When you trust Christ, you receive the gift of God.

Let me give you a great quote. If Romans 623, the gift of God is eternal life. The gift of God is eternal life. The gift of God is eternal life. And then it says, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Eternal life is the gift of God and it’s not received through church membership, not through confirmation, not through baptism, not through good works, not through living the Christian life. is received through Jesus Christ our Lord. When you trust Him as your only hope of reaching heaven, God saves you.

That’s the best news you and I are ever going to hear on this planet. And I’m so glad that I discovered it when I was 18. My Christmases have been different now that I know what Christmas is all about. It’s about God giving his only begotten son. And who’s to ever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. I hope you’ve received the gift of Christmas. I hope you have experienced what it’s really all about. Many, many millions will celebrate Christmas and have no idea who Christ is or what He did and that the real gift is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Well, I’m Dr. Ankerman, and this is a Bible and it’s great to be with you today. I want to welcome all of our listeners down in Miami, Florida, as we come down to the 1080 on the AM Dow, the BM CU, and powerful, powerful station reaching all the way down and to marathon and the keys and past West Palm Beach to the North and out into the Everglades. We hope that you’re listening and enjoying down there. Give us a call.

Also, we want you to know that we’re welcoming all of our other listeners across the United States that are listening on broadcast stations. We’re excited about being with you as well. Call us. We’d love to hear from you. We have some all-fairy questions. I think I’m going to grab a few of these real quickly here. It says, Kevin in Chattanooga, Tennessee, listening up there every day on that station in Chattanooga. He says, you’ve touched on the original earth being inhabited by angels before the fall of Satan.

Can you give scriptures on this topic? Well, one of the greatest, I think, is in Isaiah 14, where we have a passage that talks about Lucifer who became Satan and how that he lived originally on the earth, not ever in heaven. And it says here, in verse 13, Thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven. That is Lucifer or Satan Now, why would he say that if he was already in heaven? He says in Luke rather excuse me Isaiah 14 verse 13 Thou has said in nine heart.

I will ascend into heaven This is as I will exalt my throne above the stars of God again implied is it he’s below the stars of God and he’s going to ascend above the stars Thirdly, he says, I will sit also upon the Mount of the congregation in the sides of the north. Did you know? Did you know that the Bible implies that heaven is in the north in our universe. Job 26-7, written 3500 years ago, tells us that there is a void in our north where there are no stars.

No stars. You got it. There is a void, an empty place. And it says there that God stretches out the north over the empty place and hangeth the earth upon nothing. Hangeth the earth upon nothing. Wow, amazing. Absolutely amazing. Well, you know, the Bible tells it long before it ever happened. It also tells us in Leviticus, 1 and 11, that when they offered the sacrifices in the oral Old Testament, they offered them northward before the Lord. Amazing. The implication is that God is in the north and he would offer the sacrifices to the north where the Lord is And so that’s where Satan said he wanted to go He said he wanted to sit upon the mountain of congregation in the sides of the north and playing a corridor With sides that’s empty and that’s exactly what scientists have discovered today Isaiah 14 verse 13

Scientists, first with the Tundenj telescope in Mount Palomar, California, they discovered that wherever they looked there was billions and billions and trillions of stars, but in the north there was a void in empty place, a corridor where there’s no stars. There today three separate observatories studying this phenomenon, they say it’s large enough, this void is large enough to hold 2,000 Milky Way’s. No Hershey bars. I’m teasing you of course. What we’re talking about is Milky Way Galaxies. The Milky Way Galaxy is a hundred thousand years, a hundred thousand light years across.

That means light traveling 186,000 miles per second would take 100,000 years to go from one edge of the Milky Way Galaxy to the other. I have climbed to the top of Mount Sinai, 8,000 feet above sea level. I began my ascent at two o’clock in the morning. I arrived at the top at about five a.m. in the morning. It was still dark. It was the most amazing experience as I looked out. As I looked out, I felt I was like in a space capsule.

Why? Because normally when you look out at the horizon, you have to kind of look up over the trees or over the mountains or over the hills or over whatever obstacles there might be. And you’ll see stars. But here I was, 8,000 feet up in the air on the top of a mountain. And I could actually see stars below the horizon. Down toward the direction of the mountains. of my feet, what a thrill! I tell you, I still get bumps on my arms when I think about what I saw.

And then I looked above me, and I saw the Milky Way. And you know, with no lights for hundreds of miles in any direction, the Milky Way shone like somebody had taken a huge milk pail and tossed it into the sky. And the white milk just splattered across the heavens. I had never experienced anything like that in my life. I’ve done that twice now. It’s quite exciting to be there as the sun comes up before the sun comes up and to see the stars like you’d never seen them before.

Well, that Milky Way is of course huge and the void in the north could hold 2,000 Milky Way galaxies. Amazing. Also, it says here in Isaiah 14 and verse 14, I will ascend above the heights of the clouds. So apparently Lucifer was here on the surface of the earth beneath the clouds, beneath the stars, wanting to ascend to heaven in the north, and he wanted to sit upon the throne there of God, replacing God. So interesting verses here, and I hope that helps you, and we’ll explain some things for you.

Right now, and here we are by the line of Dr. England’s German, our phone lines are right now not allowing us to have any calls come in. So I’m going to continue with some of these all fair questions and I’m real sorry your call is not getting through. Keep trying. We hope that they’ll come up in a moment but apparently they are not. We’re now going to go to Tom in Clearwater, Florida and he says what James wrote the book of James.

Now here’s the chance to plug the Scofield Bible. I love the Scofield Bible. It has its wonderful notes and it gives the answer you’re looking for Tom and it says here in a pretty extensive footnote at the bottom of the page it says the conclusion seems therefore most probable and gives you dozens of verses that James 1-1 refers James the less the son of Alphys and Mary and cousin or according to Jewish usage, brother of Jesus. He was the author of the Epistle of James.

He was the author. So again I recommend the Scofield. I find so much help right there in the Bible with its notes. That’s why I push it and I recommend it. It was such a blessing to me as a brand new believer to have a Bible that was had its notes geared to sound doctrine. And that really helped me establish my belief system. I’ll tell you, it’s incredible. And whenever I have a question to this day, many times that question is answered in the notes.

We have Bob and Palm Harbor. He says in his offer a question, please explain the basics of the Mormon religion. Well, we’ve mentioned so many things before, but the Mormons are not Christian. They are classified as a cult. They deny the basic teachings of Christianity, the Trinity, the deity of Christ, the salvation by faith. They deny hell and many other basic teachings that are true to the scriptures. They reject. The moments are self-proclaimed aliens. They say they come from the planet Colab, K-O-L-A-B.

You can look up on the internet and search it out. They migrated here. They chose Jesus to come as the Adam God and produce bodies for these disembodied spirits to enthrall. That’s K-O-L-O-B is the name of the star they came from or the planet they came from. They migrated here. Satan became jealous being the brother of Jesus and he came down and created all the black races. Ah, Mormonism teaches that all the black races or dark-skinned people came from Lucifer or Satan.

Isn’t that awful? Well, it’s amazing, but we’re living in the last days. Miami, we have to say goodbye to you, but we’ll be back again on Monday. So I hope you’ll join me then. Thank you, Miami. We have to sign off early with Miami, but Naurest of you can continue to listen. And we’re excited about your being with us today and listening in the Bible. And by the way, this is a Friday. We will be having our special Christmas celebration service this Sunday.

and you’re welcome to come and stay for the dinner that will follow about 12 o’clock noon and Enjoy the meal. It’s gonna be a great time and just bring your family your appetite and join us That’s this Sunday here at Calvert community now you can always join our worship services wherever you are by going to the internet and that is of course a wonderful opportunity to join us at 11 o’clock on Sunday morning by going to the BibleLineMinistries.org website, clicking on the camera, and when you do the audio and the video will come up at 11 o’clock as we begin the service.

And you can watch it from anywhere in the world. I was in Israel of March of this year. And guess what? We were able to tune in to the worship service back here in Tampa, Florida from Israel. By the way, we’re getting ready to go to Israel in February and we need you to sign up right away because we can’t hold these spaces on the plane much longer than we need your assistance to at least make your deposit and make your commitment to go.

And you can find all that information on our website at BibleLineMinistries.org. click on the Bibleline news but you need to really let us know that you’re going and make that commitment of your deposit and let’s get things going. We’re going to have a limited group, we’re going to take 30 people and there are a few seats left and we want you to get in on that so don’t wait another minute. Call us and we’ll help you through that process.

Alright we’re going to go to break and we’ll come back and do a second half hour of Bible line and I hope that you will hear the second half hour. It will be also on the internet as well as on broadcast. Be right back in a minute. The way Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Hello and good to be with you today. This is Dr. Lindstrom with Bibleline and Thank you for tuning in.

We hope that you will get with us on this trip to Israel. We’re excited. That’ll be February 25th, a Monday coming back on Friday, March 7th, but you have to get going early. It’ll be a limited number of people going with me. Be a total of 30 people and we want you to be a part of that 30. And so you have to sign up early while there is still a spot for you. So don’t wait another minute. Give us a call and we’ll guide you through the system.

You have to at least make your deposit, make your commitment, and then we’ll help you through the process. But there are seats, but we can’t hold these seats too much longer. We want to make this a nice group that will really enjoy the trip and enjoy the teaching of the Word as I’ll be opening up my Bible all day long at all the different sites. Would you give us a call? If you’re just even questioning, call us and let us answer your questions or relieve any fears you might have had.

This will be trip number 15 for me. Also Bible Eye needs your financial help as we close out the year 2007. And if you could give a special gift to Bible Eye as a Christmas gift to Jesus, you could do that by telephone, by calling our operators and we’ll be happy to have them help you and assist you to give a gift by credit card over the phone or they can send an envelope to you with our address on it and you can mail your gift in to Bibleline.

We hope that you will do that. And we certainly thank you in advance for your prayers and your gifts to Bibleline that make this possible. You know, it’s interesting that the wise men gave all their gifts to Christ. Every one of their gifts went to Jesus. And yet today in this modern world, people make their shopping list and Christ is not even on the list, not even at the bottom of the list. Have you made your list? Would you put Jesus at the top of the list?

And would you consider giving a gift to the Lord this Christmas? After all, it is his birthday. Wouldn’t it be strange to celebrate somebody’s birthday and give gifts to everybody but the person is having the birthday? I think it would be strange. And yet that’s what’s happened today. People are giving gifts to everybody but the one whose birthday we’re celebrating doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Well I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bibleline and we’re going to do a second half hour in just a moment.

Stay with us if you don’t have the opportunity to catch this program right now. right now. You can go back and catch it later today on the Internet. We’re there 24-7. We’ll get ready. Here we go. We’re going to return the stations and then on break we’ll do the second half hour Bible line. I want you to join me now as we do the second half hour. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Linds from a question?

You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lynch from… Okay, I know we have callers coming and calling in. This is the second half hour and we’re back for that break. But our phone lines are down and we’re not getting any calls in. I know you’re trying but we’re unable to get you up on the air. I’m not too sure whether you can leave an off air question. I think you can.

So if you have an off air question we can do it that way. But I tell you, it’s interesting in this age of modern technology that sometimes when it goes down or the phones don’t work that we are restricted. We have Marina, I believe that’s the pronunciation of the name, in Albany, New York, and she leaves an all-fair question about disciplining children. Where in the Bible? Where in the Bible? Is spanking okay according to the Bible? Let me give you a couple verses.

I hope you have your pen. This will be Proverbs 13, 24, and Proverbs 19, 18. Proverbs 13, 24, and Proverbs 19, 18. Let me read verse 18 of chapter 19. says, Chasen, thy son, while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.” So definitely the Bible teaches discipline. Those are two great verses, Proverbs 13, 24, and Proverbs 1918, Marina in Albany, New York. Tony in Chicago, Illinois calls in, he leaves this off your question, where is it written in the Bible.

When you die, you go to heaven. That’s a great question, Tony. We’re glad you’re listening up there in Chicago, and you’re probably having some cold weather today. Where’s it written in the Bible that when you die, you go to heaven? I love 2 Corinthians 5, 8. Second Corinthians 5, say, 8 says, absent from the body, present with the Lord. from the body. President of the Lord, turn the right that down. Second Corinthians 5, 8. Absent from the body, present with the Lord.

So certainly the Lord is in heaven. And when you die, you’re absent in this body and immediately present with the Lord in heaven. We have Kevin in Boca Raton, Florida. And Kevin says your interpretation of Jonah is wonderful, having died for three days. My question is if the Lord was crucified on Wednesday, why did the women who would anoint the body wait till Sunday morning to perform this task? The reason is they could not approach the body because of the several holy days that were taking place.

Thursday was the Passover and they could do no barrel arrangements or things during the Passover. The Feast of the Love and Blood Bread was on Friday. Saturday was the regular Sabbath. They couldn’t do it then. They had to wait until the Sabbath ended. If you read Matthew 28, and if you have a skill field, it points it out very well. It should read at the end of the Sabbath as it began to dawn on the first day of the week the women came.

So it’s the end of the Sabbath’s plural. There were several Sabbaths in a row. Thursday was a Sabbath, Friday was a Sabbath. Saturday was a Sabbath, and it was on Sunday morning that they came to finish the barrel. Of course, Christ was risen. Okay, Myra in Sarasota calls in with this question, leaves it off here. What is the scientific breakdown of the dust God created us from? Well, there are 16 basic elements, Myra, in our body, and there are other traits, elements, of course.

And the same is true of the dust of the earth. It’s a very scientific statement. And I don’t have that list in front of me, but we do have that available if you want to call in, and we can mail it to you. But there are 16 basic elements. You know, when I first read Genesis, I was of a scientific mind, and later graduated in electrical engineering from the… from the University of Florida, the Gators. And, you know, I thought this was somewhat of a poetic statement.

I used to hear when I was a little boy, that girls were made of sugar and spice, and everything nice. And boys were made of puppy dog tails and tin cans and all that kind of stuff. Made me mad, really, as a little boy. And so when I read that God created man to the dust of the ground, I said, here we go. Same kind of thing that was hearing that I didn’t like but you know later I discovered that Scientists have actually shown that there are 16 basic elements that make it the dust of the ground and There are 16 basic elements in our bodies and so truly we are made of The dust of the ground and then amazing.

I love the Bible. It’s such an incredible book We don’t ever have to apologize. We can stand up tall and say hey this book is right on every time and the world religions don’t get that right you know the writings of the date is of the Hindus tell us that the earth is triangular in shape are you believing that seven layers a layer of sugar, a layer of honey, a layer of water, a layer of fire and so on craziness but the bible tells us the earth is round, it’s suspended in space and so many things that we know that are scientifically accurate all right there in the Bible.

Okay, we have here James in Hampton, Virginia. He leaves this off her question. In Revelation chapter 3, were the people in the church of Sardis born again. And the answer is it had, I think, believers and unbelievers apparently. It was a picture of what would happen during the time of the Reformation when people got the truth and got saved. And then as time went along, they would drift away from that truth and those that were members of that time period depicted by the church at Sardis, which was really the time of the Reformation, would continue to live the name of their Reformer, but really be spiritually dead.

And that is it would not come to know the Lord. are many today that are of that era and when you ask them are you going to heaven when you die they’ll say I’m a Presbyterian or if you ask them where are you going to go when you die well I’m a Wesleyan or are you going to go to heaven when you die well I’m a Lutheran and so they are naming themselves after their former founder but yet they have missed the gospel and don’t know the Lord of Savior.

I was raised in a church just like that. And we had our traditions, we had our background, we had our things that we held to, but we didn’t know Christ. I don’t think anybody, my church was saved. When I got saved, I discovered my whole church was lost. Isn’t that something? And that’s happening more often than you would think. So the church at Sarnas began with people coming to know the truth at the beginning of the Reformation period. And then they lived the name of the Reformer and they had a name that they were living but they were spiritually dead.

So I think that depicts those that are still around, the remnants of the Reformation churches. Many of them are active and claim that they’re Christians but they’re working the way to heaven and they are not saved. You have to trust Christ alone as the only means of salvation in order to be saved. Well, we have some more questions here. We’re going to take those. Our phone lines are down today for whatever reason I don’t know right now. And we apologize.

You can call, I think, and leave an unfair question, which is what we’re doing, but we’re not able to get through to you. Let’s see here. Diane says from Tampa leaving an offer question, where does it say in the Bible that Judas was not saved? A lot of people were surprised by that. Judas was one of the twelve disciples and yet he was never a believer and never saved. John 664 says that about as clearly as you’ll ever see it.

It says Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed Not He knew from the very beginning was not a believer, and knew that Judas would betray him. By the way, we have this wonderful series on the Gospel of John. I had a preacher tell me that he had read it for 30-40 years and preached on it, taught it. When he learned things he said from my gospel of John presentation which is on CD that he had never heard from anyone else that never had learned in his old life.

Isn’t that amazing? Well praise the Lord and this is a wonderful set. If you want to get that set we broke it into two parts because it’s about 20 hours of teaching. Part one a gift of $50 to Bibleline. you can get 10 hours of the first half of John’s Gospel. Part 2, another 10 hours of teaching, the second half of John’s Gospel, another $50 or a total of $100, you get you the whole set on CD. If you’d like that set on DVD, which means you have the video and the audio, you can do that for a gift of $150.

But take advantage of that. We certainly hope you will. And by the way, we have so many resources in our resource center. And this is a good time to do your Christmas shopping while you have time to get a ship to you and you can wrap it and give it to your friends. We have that Christmas special going on right now where you can get 20 of our How Permanent is your Salvation CDs. These are incredible. We have seen so many and hear stories every day of people getting saved, listening to that particular message.

If a personal play it all the way through and listen to it, good chance that they’ll get it saved. Well we have that plus 50 of our best tracks, am I going to have it in English? And then we have the handbook on how to lead a soul to Christ. That’s an incredible book. Really there’s nothing better. And with that whole package here, $120 value for a gift of $100, it’ll help my mind at this time. We’ll send it all out to you.

It’s a great tool. These CDs, by the way, will fit right in a nice Christmas card envelope. You can include it with your Christmas card and they’ll get more than they bargained for. Not only will they get a Christmas card, but they’ll get the gospel and maybe get saved. And you’ll be an instrument to do that. Wouldn’t that be great? So thank you for calling in with that question. And this is Bible and Dr. Anker, and we are not taking live calls because our phones are up and running and we’re so sad that we’re not taking your live calls.

We have Mike in Wesley Chapel 40. Leaves us off our question just as we speak. What did the animals eat after the flood with the earth receding its water? Well plants came out along pretty fast and you know they didn’t exit the ark immediately. You’ll find it wasn’t until he sent out the dove and it came back with a leaf in his mouth that we knew plants were growing. So, Mike there was some food growing and a plant screw and they were able to eat pretty rapidly.

take a whole long time to come forth out of the ground. Grass and other vegetation I’m sure came up immediately as the water went down. We have more offer questions here. You’re welcome to call and leave some if you want as we’re not taking live calls right now. Let me just say another word about Israel. We’re making this a limited group of 30 people. We still have openings But you really need to sign up right away. We can’t, the problem is we can’t hold the seats on the airline too much longer.

And so we need a commitment on your part. And we’re flying with L.L., the safest airlines in all the world, the Israeli airline. And we want to limit this to a group of 30 people. And so you need to get your deposit in and we get that seat secured for you. you consider getting moving here with your thought process and calls as quickly as you can. Once we get 30, we’re cutting it off. We want you to go. I’d like to have you go with me.

It’ll be a small, intimate group. We’ll have a lot of fun together. We’re going to learn a lot of Bible together. We’ll have a super time. Twelve full days in Israel will be 15th trip for me. I hope you’ll be going Israel with me. That’ll be great. Leaving February 25th a Monday coming back March 7th a Friday 12 full days In Israel, that’ll be great. Okay, we have here Danny in Lake County, Florida. He calls in and says, off here, Lucifer is described as an instrument in Ezekiel 2013.

Is it possible that he’s saying? And this is certainly possible. Certainly he used music as a tool. Now, I know the point you’re probably trying to make Danny is that angels sing. But Lucifer really wasn’t an angel as we think of angels. He was a cherub. Those are unique special creatures. There was only a handful of those cherubs created. And so he is called an angel in the sense that he’s a messenger, but he’s a false messenger. He brings us a false gospel.

But he is not an angel as we know angels. There are cherubs, there are serubs, and then there are angels, the traditional angels, and they are all male. All are always appears of male, and they’re no females, no baby angels, and angels don’t sing. But perhaps the cherub doop. So that hopefully will answer your question. We have Marty in Habra, California calling in today, leaves us all for your question, referring to Matthew 25. Explain the parable of the foolish and the wise virgins.

Does this parable imply works? And of course the answer is no. The answer really is in verse 12 of Matthew 25 where Christ says, to the five foolish virgins, I know you not. That means they were not saved. He knows everyone who is a believer. I love him. One of my favorite verses is 2 Timothy 2 verse 19. It says, The foundation of the Lord, stand it sure, having this seal that the Lord knows those that are his. So if you trust Christ, you become his and he knows that you are his and belong to him and he keeps you safe and keeps you saved and you cannot be lost once you become saved.

But the five foolish did not trust the Lord. They did not know Jesus as her Savior. And it was because of their unbelief. And Christ says in Matthew 25, 12, I know you not. I know you not. They were not saved. The five wise virgins were saved. And no, it does not imply works at all. Ellen, in Orlando, Florida, calls in with this offer of question. She says, what are the beliefs of the Baptist? are they Christians is a good church.

The Baptists have been closer to the truth than most of the denominations and they focus on baptism that believers ought to be water baptized after they are saved as a testimony of their faith. But oftentimes Baptists have a tendency to get repentance wrong and teach that it means to turn from sin and that you must turn from your sin to be saved. That is not true. That would make salvation by works. Ephesians 2 8 says salvation is not of yourself.

It is the gift of God, and it is not of works, as Staney Man should boast. And also most all the Baptist churches make it a requirement for you to walk forward. Many times they confuse the gospel by saying, to be saved you must walk forward, which is not true. So some of these things bother me because they leave people confused and uncertain and I’ve talked to many people that were raised Baptist all their life and really didn’t have any assurance of their salvation because they weren’t sure if they had turned from all their sin or every sin.

And you know the Baptist evangelists will come in and play on that in order to get you walk the aisle again, which is a star in their cap as they look successful as to how many people walk the aisle. I was in one of those churches and the guy in order to get the maximum number of people forward said, if you love God and hate the devil, come forward. Everybody had to go forward. If you love God and hate the devil, what kind of a question is that?

Obviously everybody there is not going to say they hate God and love the devil and They’re going to admit or at least show people that, hey, they love God and hate the devil and everybody went forward. The whole church was up front. Well that’s the manipulation that happens sometimes. I think it’s kind of a craziness and obviously you can get saved wherever you are. Most unusual I’ve read about in the Bible is that dying in the thief got saved on the cross.

Here’s an increase if I’d nailed the cross dying and in the last minute of his life he trusts christmas is saviour and he became saved he didn’t walk the aisle by the way he couldn’t walk the aisle he was nailed across he wasn’t going anywhere and uh… He got saved right here on the cross. Jesus said to him, today, but I’ll show up with me in paradise. Isn’t that wonderful? Right where you are, whoever you are, wherever you might be, you could simply trust Jesus and be saved.

He died for you. his blood, pay your sin debt and full. And all you need to do is say, Lord, I’m a sinner. I’m not capable of saving myself. There’s nothing that I can do or bring. And I love that hymn just as I am. As the hymn writer got it right, just as I am, I come without one plea, not one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me. That’s all you need. Only the blood can wash away your sin and if you have the blood of Christ you’re okay.

Isn’t that great? I’m saved and I’m saved eternally and I got saved when I was eighteen when I trusted Christ as my Savior. Well we have here Greg in National Tennessee. He says, As I celebrate in the birth of Christ, please give Bible references. Guess what? The Bible is silent about celebrating Christ’s birthday. The early Christians did not. There is no reference in the Bible to the early Christians celebrating the birth of Christ. It didn’t happen until the fourth century.

And you know, the devil is clever. He gets us to put our focus on the birth of Christ knowing that salvation was not accomplished at Bethlehem, but salvation was accomplished at Jerusalem at the cross. You can celebrate the birth of Christ. You can do that every year of your life and do it with all kinds of excitement and still good of hell. You must believe that Jesus died and shed his blood to pay for your sins to be saved.

So celebrating the birth of Christ won’t save you. You have to trust that he died, was buried, and rose again from dead to be saved. I hope you have done that. The answer to your question is, celebrating the birth of Christ is not really taught in the Bible. The early Christians didn’t celebrate the birth of Christ until the 4th century. We have Geraldine in Miami, Florida. It says, How come incense was burned daily in the Holy of Holies when the High Priest could only enter once a year?

Well, it wasn’t burned daily in the Holy of Holies. There was no incense burned in the Holy of Holies. There were two parts of the temple and of the tabernacle, and there was the Holies, and then the Holy Holies contained one piece of furniture that was the Ark of the Covenant, and there was no incense burned there. On the other side of the curtain in the Holies was the altar of incense, and that’s where you read in Luke chapter 1, Zachariah’s the priest went in and he did as his custom was or his lot was or his job or his duty was that he burned incense there and again this wasn’t done every day.

So the incense was burned in the second chamber only the high priest went once a year into the holy of holies and not without blood the Bible says. Hopefully that helps Geraldine and my ami. We don’t have a temple today. The temple was destroyed and it is gone. Again, let me just remind you, if you’re in the Tampa Bay area, we have a special Christmas celebration worship service this Sunday with a dinner following. We’d love to have you join us and only have to do is bring your Bible, your family, your appetite and come in 1030 for the service and then stay and eat with us and we’ll have a great time and celebrate Christmas together as a church family.

You’re welcome to come and be a part of that. So I need to press you about Israel because we’re going to take a group limited to 30 people. And in order to secure your spot on the plane, we need to get you to register. And so if you want to go, you need to grab that empty seat now and sign up until we fill up that 30 people. And so let me encourage you to call us. We’ll guide you through the process, but you need to make that decision right away.

Have you heard of the William Barkley commentaries? If so, what do you think of them? I think he was very liberal and I don’t like his commentaries. He’s got some interesting things and there’s everybody would have. But I wouldn’t rely upon him as a good source. All right, we have more offer questions. They don’t seem to ever cease. but we’re at the end of the program so we’re not going to be able to take anymore. But we sure do thank you for tuning in today.
