You can call in and get up on the line and get ready, several are, so lines are already busy, but we hope that you’ll call us and join them.

You know, this is an interesting time when the Bible says nothing. For example, about three kings. The Bible says, Wiseman came from the east. The Bible says nothing about the Wiseman or three kings being at the stable. They came two years after the birth. We just did a sermon on that a couple of weeks ago. You can catch that on the internet or you can order a copy on CD for five dollars. Wiseman two years too late. But also, angels don’t sing.

Well, I had a caller. from Jackson, O Florida, that called him to correct me and said that in Revelation 15, angels do sing. Well, let’s take a look in Revelation 15 and I’m turning there in my Bible right now. And by the way, if you don’t have a scofem, I mean, I encourage you to get one because the notes are so wonderful. In Revelation 15, it says, and they sang the song of Moses, the servant of God. Well, if you read verse 1, it says, I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

And then if you do verse 3, they sang the song of Moses. Guess what? Apparently, this person did not read verse 2. In verse 2 it says that I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire and them that had gotten the victory over the beast or the antichrist and over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name standing on the sea of glass having the harps of God and they sing the song of Moses.

So this is the one that sings here. It’s those that are men redeemed that got the victory over the antichrist during the tribulation angels didn’t sing anything. There is no verse in the Bible. Search hard if you want. You will not find an angel singing anything. It’s not a big point, not a big point, but it goes to show that we are not careful students of our Bible and that we are easily misled because we are led astray by songs, hymns, pageants and so on that have angels singing and there is not one verse, not one verse in the Bible that says that angel ever say anything.

Those also don’t have wings. They don’t have halos. There’s no such thing as a female angel. There are no baby angels. It’s amazing how we’ve really been led astray. I taught a course on angels. And I don’t know if that CD series is available or not, but that would be probably 10 hours of teaching just on angels. But I’ve got about 40 different series. These are going to be very helpful to you if you want to study the Bible.

And some of these are wonderful Christmas presents. We’ve had several gift them here yesterday for gifts for someone who they felt would really appreciate hearing these series taught on CD. We just finished the Gospel of John, which is 20 hours of teaching, verse by verse. The Gospel of John, wow, what a wonderful study that was. And we’ve broken it into two parts because it’s lengthy. for $50 a gift to Bible and you can have the first 10 hours, first half of John, and then for another $50 you get the second half hour and that helps Bible and also it’s a wonderful study.

I don’t think you can find anything out there where you have an audio series on the Gospel of John available to you on CD. Plus we have an available on DVD for just a little bit more. You can call our office and our bookstore manager will be glad to tell you what we have and what we don’t have and suggest what you might want to get as a gift for a friend. We also find that the Bible predicts the life of Christ before he ever comes.

I love the fact that Micah the prophet told us that Christ would be born in Bethlehem hundreds and hundreds of years before Jesus ever came. Isn’t that remarkable? I don’t know what it does for you, but I remember as a brand new believer saying, wow, God has to be the author of the Bible because, wow, how could it ever possibly have foretold the life of Christ before He comes in advance and have it happen exactly as the Bible taught.

And these are not ambiguous verses, they are very clear. Here I am at Micah chapter 5 verse 2, written about 730 years or so before Jesus ever came the first time. But now Bethelheim What is interesting here is that not only does it name Bethlehem, but it tells you which Bethlehem did you know if you have a map of the Holy Land? You’ll find there are two Bethlehems, one up in northern Israel, Bethlehem of Zebulon and where the tribe on Zebulon settled in northern Israel.

on and where the tribe of Zemulon settled in northern Israel and there’s the Bethlehem near Jerusalem called Bethlehem, Africa and notice the Bible is very clear to distinguish which one. It says, Bow Bethlehem, Africa. That’s the one right next to Jerusalem and that’s where the Messiah would be born. And it says here that out of thee, that is out of Bethlehem. So come forth unto me, that is to be ruler in Israel and then it says, who’s going fourth have been from the hold even from everlasting.

Well my friend, this one that is going forth and been from everlasting has to be God and flesh. It has to be the Messiah. So here we have another reference to the deity of Christ. This one that would be born in Bethlehem had already existed from eternity past was now now going to come forth out of Bethlehem and his going forth have been from everlasting and he’s the one that would come and be ruler over Israel which is what the Messiah would do.

The Messiah would sit upon the throne of David ruling over Israel. It’s exciting. I’ll tell you, I believe the Bible because it’s such an incredible book that men could never have put this thing together. Written over a period of 1600 years by approximately 35 to 40 different men, and yet it doesn’t contradict, tells one seamless story without contradiction, foretells the future, tells the life of Christ before he ever came. There’s no doubt. There’s no book like it on the planet in this book.

Of course. Of course, claims to be and demonstrates, I believe, without a doubt to be the word of God. I’m Dr. Hank Holmes from Mrs. Byblind. And we’re going to go to the phone lines. We have several already waiting. We’re going to go first to Larry in Clearwater, Florida. And Larry, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Hello. Hi, Larry. You’re On The Air. Frank, what I was wondering about the whole Christmas thing. I mean, typically speaking, Jesus never said to commemorate his birth.

He said to remember, couldn’t Easter be the big guy into the year? Not Christ. Well, absolutely. I think the resurrection of Christ is the most holy day for Christians to celebrate the fact that we have a Savior who is alive from the dead able to produce on the promises that he’s made. And certainly for the first several hundred years, Christians did not celebrate the birth of Christ. And Satan, I think, is clever. He knows that the But people can celebrate the birth of Christ and still go to hell because you’re not saved by what happened at Bethlehem.

You’re saved by what happened at Calvary. And of course Christ came into the world at Bethlehem thinking on human flesh. But he grew up in Mckinma Manum and went to the cross and it was at Calvary. Outside the walls of the city of Jerusalem that Christ was crucified to pay for the sins of the world. So I absolutely agree with you on that. Okay. Very good. Thanks a lot. Thank you, Harry. And this is interesting. living in clear water.

I don’t think it’s the same person. Larry, welcome to Bible Hi everyone. Larry, we’re on the end. Okay. Yes, this is Larry from Clearwater. Okay. Okay. I just wanted to say one thing and then ask you a question. Okay. I remember a couple of years ago that I was going to your church and you popped out swaddling clothes and there’s more men was trying to get me to be a Mormon or whatever and he said, oh, I know all about the Bible and everything.

and I asked him, I said, you know what swallowing clothes are? And he was like dumbfounded. And then I finally told him, he was like, oh, really? And I thought it was pretty funny for somebody who knew all about the Bible. I just remember you had said about what swallowing clothes were that that’s what they used to wrap the dead with, and that Jesus was pretty much born into this world to die. and this person didn’t even know that.

And you know the more… Mormons really are not Christian and they really don’t know their Bible and well I’m glad you were able to use that and perhaps that began to open his eyes a little bit that he did know everything and perhaps he needed to take a look at his Bible. But Christ was in Luke 2, tells you he would be wrapped in a swaddling clothes, which is an interesting picture of his death even in his birth. That’s the reason why he came.

The answer is no, they would not. But you know, a lot of people are surprised to find out how many Christians there are in China. They tell us that there are many, many, many believers and they have secret services and they kind of have to keep it underground. But there’s an underground church in China that’s very, very strong. Lots of believers in the Lord. Jesus Christ. But it’s a government that of course tries to suppress that and hinders those Christians, person keeps them, but it’s flourishing underground in China.

So wherever you are the Bible says you shall seek me and find me when you shall search me with all your heart, Jeremiah 29, 13. So the Lord is the one who’s seeking people and he convicts them of their need and when they seek the Lord the Bible promises that he’ll get somebody to them with a message and it’s obviously happening. Thank you Larry. Alright that was Larry in clear water. We had two Larry’s in clear water, not the same Larry’s.

We have a cosmon in Miami Florida and we’re glad that we’re on the airgun in Miami on 1080W MCU. Welcome to my mind, Cosmon. Hey brother Hank, how you doing today? Good. I got a quick question for you. Can you explain to me salvation? I hear a lot of preachers say that all you need to do is accept Jesus Christ in your heart and your saved. Can you explain that to me? I sure can. And you know, accepting Christ in your heart is unscriptural.

There is not a verse in the Bible anywhere that tells you to invite Christ in your heart. And that’s part of the craziness today. People grab on to something that other people have said and they repeat it. But why inviting to your heart? Why not inviting into your liver? or your pancreas, or your lungs, or your arm, or something else. This is why it doesn’t make any sense. The key word is TRUST. According to the Bible, you must believe or trust the gospel message, the message of the death, the burial, the resurrection of Christ in order to be saved.

And I was a victim of that. The church I was raised in had a moment of silence every Sunday morning. They would sing before the moment of silence to chorus into my heart, into my heart. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, come into day, come into stay, come into my heart, Lord Jesus, didn’t mean to break into song, but we used to sing that every Sunday. And then there was a moment of silence where we were all invited to invite Jesus into our hearts.

And I would do that. And my theology was based on that chorus, which is totally wrong. And I would pray, Lord, if you came into my heart before and you left, would you come come back and would you this time stay and what if you never came into my heart would you come in today for the first time and would you please stay and I went on with my whole little series of prayers all based around that course but you’re not saved by inviting Christ into your heart.

In fact you’re not saved by asking. Did you know that both thieves that were crucified with Jesus Christ both asked to be saved? Only one was saved. Which Which one? The one that trusted that Jesus was dying to pay for his sins and would come back from the dead and have a kingdom? And he said, Do Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom? That’s the only way to be saved. And this inviting Christ in your heart, I did it from the time I was at least six till the time I was eighteen, hardly ever missed church was, let’s just say I was there fifty Sundays a year, fifty times twelve years as 600 times I invited Christ into my heart I was never saved.

And that scares me for a lot of people that are hearing this invitation that’s very popular to use by many national evangelists. And they’ll say invite Jesus into your heart. And you can do that till you’re dead and go to hell. You have to trust that Jesus died and shed his blood. It was buried and rose again from the dead to be saved as your only hope of heaven. And unless you trust Christ, I don’t care how many times you invite Christ into your you have to trust that he died for you and paid your sin that by his death and shed blood to be saved.

But when you get saved, isn’t it like a miracle of God? It’s like the Holy Spirit, he’s working on you and when he truly gets saved, you become a new creature in Christ. So you don’t go back and you don’t live in sin, correct? Not necessarily. It tells you that you become a new creation, but you still have your old nature with you till you die and you have a choice. for myself. Because I had been turned off by my church that I was raised in.

I told God I would trust him as Savior and received his free gift to return life, but I would never serve him. And for a whole year I was a secret believer, but then God did work on me, yes. And finally I came to the place where I dedicated my life all alone at the University of Florida in my room. I said, Lord, I’ll serve you the rest of my life. And I made a lifelong decision to serve Christ, but not to be saved.

I knew that if I never did anything, I would still be said because I was saved by what Christ did for me, not by what I do for Him. And I’m so glad I made that second decision. And every believer has to make that second choice or should, that they should become a disciple of Christ. But you can be saved and not be a disciple, and you can be a disciple and not be saved. Judas was a disciple but never saved because he never trusted Christ.

So we have to separate the two and according to 1 Corinthians 3, 15, when we stand at the judgment seat of Christ when our works will be examined one day, it says that if any man’s works will be burned, he shall suffer loss of reward, but he himself shall be saved yet so as by fire. And what that’s saying is that even if you had no works worthy of reward, if everything when we’re burned up at the Judge of the City of Christ, according to the verse, she’d still be saved.

But I encourage people to serve the Lord, and I have people on five continents that are living for Christ as missionaries or Bible teachers or preachers or evangelists. And I’m excited about that. And we encourage people and people all across the United States that I’ve led to Christ and the disciple. And so I certainly encourage people to live for Christ, but I try to make it very clear that we don’t serve Him because we’re trying to get to heaven.

We’re saved once and for all by what Christ did for us, and then our service brings about rewards and joy and blessings in our life. Yeah, because a lot of Christians claim they are saved and then they live and fill them in, but you come before forgiveness. You don’t just keep living in sin. You’re absolutely right. And if you do, guess what? God will thank you. It says in Hebrews 12, 6, for whom the Lord loves he chases or disciplines and scourges every son whom he receives.

Verse 8 of Hebrews 12 says, If you be without God’s discipline or chastisement, we of all, a-l-l our partakers, this is your bastard and you’re not a son. Pretty strong word. It’s saying you’re illegitimately claiming to be a Christian. If you could live with you, please, if God didn’t thank you, you would prove you were never saved. So nobody’s going to get away with anything. If you’re a believer in your disobedience, you’ll be punished, but you’ll never go to hell.

But if you’re a believer in obedience, you’ll be rewarded. And that’s, of course, what we ought to seek for. Good question. Thank you, brother. Have a good day. All right. Cosmon in Miami, Florida. And certainly that is somebody that troubles a lot of folks. We now have Armando in St. Petersburg. Armando, welcome to Bibleline you are on the the air. In Dr. Renton. Good morning. I’ve been listening to your CD on salvation. Yes. Thank you. I really enjoyed acting every one that has listened to this of a lot of things.

I have a question on, because I would say that God sings, all the time the angels sing. Well, I’m… Well, I’m sure maybe they can, but there’s no verse that says that they do, and that’s the point that I’m making. So you, if you look for a verse that says that angels sing, there is none. Look at how many courses we’re singing at this time of year. Let’s talk about courses of angels and so on. Got to say goodbye to our Miami folks.

Thank you for tuning in again today. You leave us early while we continue with other stations. But thank you for being a part of the Bible and program. We’re excited about being on the air down there and Kausen just called from there. Have a great day. And now we’re going to continue here with Armando and I’m sure that maybe they can. and maybe they do, but certainly the Bible doesn’t say that they do. And so as long as the Bible doesn’t mention an angel ever saying anything, I’m going to say they don’t.

But there’s no verse that says that they do. And we’ll wait and get to heaven and we’ll find out whether maybe they do. All right. Not a big point, but it’s just the point that I make out of all of this is that are you reading your Bible carefully, just like the person that called in to correct me correct me and said that Revelation 15-3 says that angels sing and they didn’t read carefully. Thank you, Dr. Hank. Merry Christmas and I thank God for you ever and ever and ever.

the Antichrist and were not deceived by him during the tribulation period and they sang the song of Moses. But the angels didn’t sing it and the Bible never says that and yet they were pretty assured that it said it and they weren’t reading very carefully. We have done it in St. Petersburg and Donna welcome to Bible in your own ear. Thank you Dr. Hank. Merry Christmas and I thank God for you every morning. morning. Well thank you. Dr. Hank, I may be wrong so correct me, but I read somewhere in the Bible that if you were divorced and let’s say that person wanted to remarry you, that you really, God didn’t think that was a good idea.

Am I, do you? Your Executive Rightly Read Deuteronomy 23, or it’s Chapter 24. It says, once there has been a divorce and a remarriage, that person, if they were to divorce, get them to go back to the original partner, that would be an abomination. Well we have to go to break and we’ll come back into a second half hour of Bibleline. And if you keep listening down, I’ll try to get the exact verse for you in the second half of the program.

But we will go to break and we’ll come back into the second half of the program. So don’t go away. Stay tuned right here at the Bibleline. I’ll be right back. Don’t go away. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back from that break and this is Bible. I’m this great to be with you How wonderful it is that we can chat and talk about the Bible and And get answers to our questions. That’s exciting. You know, I wish as a little boy had something like Bible I’d because I remember I was inquisitive I was asking questions and people in my church would pat me on the head and said when I get a little bit older Maybe I’d understand and blah blah blah blah blah, but nobody ever had an answer for me I was very discouraged, very discouraged because I was not getting answers.

And so I began to look at other places for answers to my questions. And so definitely you, it’s a wonderful thing to be able to turn to a source. One lady told me that she asked her pastor a question. He said, submit it in writing and give me eight weeks. She said, I didn’t have eight weeks. So she called Bibleline and she got her answer right there on the spot. Well that’s what we try to provide here is a good answer right from the scripture and we get it to you right now.

So we hope that you’ll take advantage of the Bibleline program in that way. One guy told me he learned more than 30 days of Bibleline. 30 days of Bibleline than 30 years in the church he was raised in. So he got more than 30 days and he got 30 years in of his church. And oftentimes people say that to me, they get more here than they do in all the years they’ve had in their churches. Isn’t that something? Well we’re living in a time when there’s a famine it says for the hearing of the Word of God.

Amos chapter 8 talks about a famine, not a food, not a bread or water, but a famine for the hearing of God’s Word. And I think we’re there. More and more churches are not teaching the Word of God and this is terrible and that’s unfortunate. So in any case, I hope you’ll pray for Bibleline, and if you can, give the Bibleline and be a part of our ministry here. We are gonna go to the full lines again if you wanna call us, it’s 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771.

Give us a call. We would love to hear from you today. And we would love to have you call us 1-800-576-3771. We are excited about having a Christmas Eve service. If you’re in the Tampa Bay area, we’re going to have one Christmas Eve at 10 o’clock at night. You’ll get a chance to have your Christmas Eve dinner and then open gifts or what do you do on Christmas Eve. And then if you come on over, we’re going to have a sing, some specials, a short message.

We’ll have the Lord’s Supper and we’ll finish with a candle lighting service right at the end. So we hope that you will plan to join us. That’s at 10 o’clock December 24 Christmas Eve. Of course we have church this Sunday, the Sunday before Christmas and that will be in the morning and the evening you can come out and join us for services we hope that you will. We have Ernesto in Tampa, Florida calling in. Ernesto, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air.

Thank you for calling in. Ernesto, are you there? Yes, I’m here. Okay. What’s your question? Yes. My question is, well, I’ve been listening to you for a while and it’s been kind of frustrating about salvation. But if you confess with your mouth and you stop Jesus Lord in your heart that you are saved, it’s in Romans 10. And if you go to Romans 10, verse 8 to 13, it’s clearly state. Clearly it’s state and I’ll read it to you.

Clearly state, the revelation comes from the trusting Christ, which is the message we preach. It is already within easy reach and the practice of state, the message is close at the end. It is on your lips and in the heart. Verse 9, clearly, for if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing your heart, that God grateful from the day. You will be saved, but it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

As the scriptures tell us, anyone who believes in here will not be disappointed. You and Gentiles are the same in this respect. They all have the same heart, generously, for anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. There is a tremendous difference between asking Jesus into your heart and believing with your heart. Now the heart means really from the Greek, your center of your thought process is really as your brain. So when you believe or trust, that’s where it all takes place in your brain.

When you trust Christ, you become saved. But there’s noverse, noverse, noverse that tells you to invite Christ into your heart. That’s what we were talking about earlier. I don’t know if you were listening to that, but that was the question. And of course, asking Christ in your heart is a false gospel. That is not true. Here it talks about believing with your heart and really it should be believing with your brain. You know, back in 1611, they thought that we did our thinking with our heart, apparently because of the responses to different decisions we make in our head.

And unfortunately, that’s the way it got translated. When we use expressions today, which are really not scientifically correct, you might say, I love you with all my heart. And that’s not really true because you don’t love with your heart. You love with your mind. But it’s not very romantic to tell somebody, I love you with all my brain. So we use those expressions and I think we understand what they’re saying. I hope. But it really means your mind. And so when you believe with your soul or your mind on Christ’s Savior, you become saved.

You’re absolutely right, Ernesto. But to ask Jesus in your hearts another ballgame, you might as well invite Him into your liver or your pancreas or your thyroid. It’s useless. It’s absolutely not biblical. There’s no verse that says invite Christ in your life. And yet many, many creatures are doing that. Thank you so much, Ernesto, for bringing that up. We now have Laurie, a new poet Richie. Laurie, welcome to Bibleline You Are On The Air. Hi, Dr. Lynch. You might have had a question.

What you thought about the ministry of Joel Osteem, I noticed that a lot of times you didn’t really get all about salvation and I was just curious what your idea was. Thank you. Well, I really think he’s a motivational speaker and if you want to get pumped up like any one, you can go to, I think a second or motivational speaker and get about the same thing, but it’s with a little Christian coding, but as far as doctrine is concerned, his gospel at the end is not correct.

When he was on the Larry King Live, when asked if a person did not believe in Christ, would they go to hell? He said he didn’t know. So that’s a very weak answer at the least and absolutely sad that a Christian preacher would know from a very casual reading of the New Testament that if you don’t trust Christ, you will go to hell according to the Bible. So he can pump you up and make you feel good. I think I’ve heard him say that that’s what he attempts to do.

So he’s making people feel good. And the unfortunate thing is that they have quite a large crowd of people and I’m not too sure that they’re all saved. I know that I talked to some folks who went when he came here locally and talked to people who I want to say waited in line and they had no clue where they were going to go when they were to die. apparently probably left the same way because he doesn’t tell you how to be saved.

And I think that we’re all going to be held accountable for telling people the story of Christ and the good news if you trust him you go to heaven but the bad news if you don’t you’ll go to hell. You know, Romans 623 is a double-sided verse. The wages of sin is death. That’s the bad news. If you paid for your sin you go to hell. But the good news is the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

So it’s a double-edged sword. John 3 16 also has that. God is full of the world, all of mankind. He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Christ should not perish but have an eternal life. But if you don’t believe you will perish and you’ll not have everlasting life. So I think that if you recognize what he is, he’s a motivational speaker. I enjoy him for that but if you’re trying to get taught the word you’re not going to get it in and a Joel Wollstein meeting.

Alright, we now have Anthony and Sarah Sutterfore, then Anthony, welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. How you doing? I just wanted to add a question. My son asked me today and we studied the Bible together. He’s 10 years old and I was wondering, Jesus, what they’re going to have? Yeah, well basically. And so what about the people who never knew Christ, I tried to describe, you know, I guess the human race has been spread since Noah and they had fled the Middle East and they did their own thing.

You know, they… They did worship, you know. Dr. He was asked to me, you know, what happened to them when they died? I was like, well, they didn’t know Jesus. I mean, I don’t know how they had salvation. There’s any scripture that you can point me to where the Bible would describe salvation for people in the Old Testament. Absolutely. You know everybody who’s ever been saved and he’s been saved by faith in Christ and anybody and anybody who dies without Christ will go to hell according to the Bible.

But God, the Holy Spirit, convicts every man, woman and child born into this world about their need of Christ. They may not know who he is, but they know there is a God and they know that there is a need of themselves to find him. In Jeremiah 29-13 it says, you shall seek me and find me when you shall search me with all your heart. A person seeking will find and God will get the message to them. I have talked to American Indian missionaries and they said, there is a tradition among all the tribes of a story of a man being offered up as a sacrifice, as a payment for sin.

The Gospel has always been there, but unfortunately many people have rejected it and the main stream religion that people embrace often times is a false one. The devil has been real good at that. But there’s always been the truth out there. And God promises to get the truth to those who would seek Him. I have a wonderful article. I wrote about that. If you have internet it, you can go to my articles and download that and read it and give you a lot of scriptures to point to your son.

But also I’ll be gone the mountain free of charge if you want to get the article on what about the heathen and we give answers to that. And you’ll see in the Bible illustration after illustration of people that are seeking that find. You have for example in Acts chapter 10 you have a Roman soldier on duty in Israel. His name is Cornelius. He’s searching, he’s seeking, and God tells him he knew that he was seeking and sent him to find Peter.

And Peter comes and leads his whole family and others to Christ. It’s a beautiful story of a seeking person getting the gospel. Acts chapter 8, you have a man from Africa, the Ethiopian Union. He’s seeking God sends Philip over to his chariot, and he leads him to Christ. And throughout the Bible you see this happening. In fact God promises to keep you alive through war, disease or whatever until a messenger can get to you. It says that in Job 33 that God won’t let you die.

If you’re seeking you’re not going to die. I don’t care what happens whether disease or war comes you will not die until a messenger arrives to tell you about Jesus and when you trust him you become saved. So I don’t care where you are. God can get the message to you and he certainly does. I’ve been in different remote places and I’ll never forget, for example, being at the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. And it’s just desolate. I mean, desolate.

You’re just happy to find a little shelter with shade from the sun. And I was there and I got into this little shaded area and guess what? They had a telephone there you could use your credit card to call on. And I said, you know, if they can get the telephone here, and this desolate God forsaken place, certainly God can get the gospel here. And certainly if you called up somebody who knew the truth, they could tell you around on that telephone how to be saved.

It’s not a problem for God to get the message to somebody who’s in a remote place. And I think sometimes here in America, we have so much confusion with all the different isms and asms and spasms. It’s probably more difficult to get it here than it would be in a place like that where it would be a real day-in-night Contrast but no doubt about it. Everybody has to trust Christ to be saying it says in Peter Rather Peter says in Acts 10 43 acts 10 43 It says there that to Jesus or Yeshua the Hebrew Give all the prophets witness in other words every writer of the Bible spoke about Jesus that who’s to ever believe it in his name should receive the remission of their sins.

So everybody who’s ever been saved has been saved by trusting Christ and Savior. Hope that helps a little bit. Yes, yes. Well, you know, he’s been asking a lot of questions because of, like you said in America, you know, you have the pluralism and you know, you see some issues here and there on the media and we picked up an article on God too, and I used it as a tool to show them that, you know, If all beliefs are true, I was seeking God.

I wanted to believe everybody was trying to guide in. Absolutely, and I remember myself, as I said earlier in the program, asking questions as a little boy and not getting any answers. So it’s wonderful that you can direct him to the answers. They’re in the Bible. I hope that article I’ve written will help you. It’s on the Internet or you can call and ask our operator to send you what about the heathen and read that to him. I think it’ll really help.

Okay, that sounds great. I appreciate your program. One paint different how it looks as much information as possible, you know, even during busy time. So I appreciate you. Thank you. And Mary Christmas to you. Mary Christmas to you, thank you. Okay. And we are now going to go to Robert in Petersburg, Virginia. And Robert, welcome to Bumlinue. You are on the air. Robert? Yes. Okay, you’re on the air. You’re on the radio right now. question. Yes, a question is act 19 chapter 5.

I like to know who baptized these people just called baptism. Well what happened here is you have a bunch of the disciples of John the Baptist. They had been baptized by John the Baptist but here Paul inquires about how had they received the Holy Spirit? It should read when they believed, and when they believed on Christ did they receive the Holy Spirit and they didn’t. So apparently Paul here perceives that they’re not saved because he says unto them, what were you baptized?

And he explains the baptism that John the Baptist baptized with. It was a baptism of a change of mind that they would believe on Christ that would come after John the Baptist. And apparently in his explanation they got saved and there they were receiving the Holy Spirit, they were baptized with the Holy Spirit instantly upon belief and they got saved there on the percoast of Ephesus where Paul encountered them. But these were people who had been baptized with water but not saved, they had never really trusted Christ and Paul comes along and explains the gospel and they get saved and are baptized with the one that counts, the baptism of the Holy Spirit at the moment they believed.

And another thing in the part of verse 6, they said he was singing in tongue and processed the foot tongue was he speaking in tongue. Well those tongues were real known languages and this was a confirmation that they truly had received the Lord. Tongues only occurs three times in the book of Acts and it’s when the Jews got saved a Pentecost and then we have the gospel going to Samaria and then the house of Cornelius in X-10 and then in X-19 and that’s basically as the gospel spread out from Jerusalem to Judea, Samaria and to the animals parts of the earth.

These Gentiles last up there in Turkey up near the city of Ephesus get saved. So basically it was a demonstration that the gospel is going out as Christ had predicted in Acts 1 8 from Jerusalem all the way out to the othermost parts of the earth. But then Tung ceased, it was a temporary gift and it demonstrated the message going out. So there was a Gentile language and there they were in Gentile territory and we have a confirmation to the Jews that all the Gentiles were the witnesses for God in this age as they would speak in a Gentile language here.

I hope that helps a little bit. Thank you so much for calling. We now have Sam in Lakeland, Florida and Sam, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Hello, Sam. Hello. I would like to question that you were talking about a few minutes ago about the Lord’s Center wanted to tell you about being saved. I had a guy years ago and he came to me and I was out there working in the yard where I was working and he just came up to me and he asked me that I wanted to be saved.

I think I know I would be saved and I told him no he asked what I like. No. So he led me to the Lord and I saw him then and he left and I saw him again and I left and I saw him again and he said even the missionary came from Africa. So that was you to my, that the Lord always blooped somebody to lead you to the Lord. Absolutely and look at that. He sent somebody all the way from Africa here to America to lead you to Christ.

Isn’t that wonderful? Well, that’s a real blessing and that’s exactly what’s going on. When you’re a seeking person, God will send somebody to you and it could be from another part of the world. To bring that gospel to you, we have Benjamin in Clearwater, Florida. Benjamin, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Good morning Dr. Hank. I have two questions here today One is the pentacles in the head of the people and the people fell down and as they say that is From the whole you know, it’s the Bible have anything about that It really doesn’t that’s an unholy spirit that they’re dealing with there the falling down, the being slain in the Spirit is not a scriptural event.

When I see it in the Bible, it’s always unsaid people that are falling back. So whenever I see that, I say to myself, these people need to know Christ. They’re not saved. If you look at John 18, there’s a clear example there. You have the soldiers coming to be trade Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane. Judas is bringing them. Christ walks out and says, whom are you seeking? They said, Jesus of Nazareth, and Christ uses his divine name I am, and they all fell back.

They all fell in the Spirit. They all fell down, and they were knocked on their backside. These are trained soldiers with spears and arms and lanterns and swords, and they all fell on their backside at the power of God’s name. That’s an example of being slain in the Spirit. They’re all saved. They weren’t saved at all. So people that are slain in the Spirit, I don’t think are saved. To me, that’s an indication they don’t know the Lord. So we need to witness them and try to evangelize them, but to try to expect this as a Christian experience, that’s craziness, that is really not what it’s all about at all.

The Lord says He gives us in 1 Timothy 1, a spirit of a sound mind, a peace and of the sound mind to fall down and potentially hurt yourself is certainly not of God. I have people at my church that have been in these meetings where they did fall down and they have permanent injuries, permanent back injuries. We have one lady that went to Benny Hill. They can answer son’s advice. He says, the mom, don’t go. And she went to the Benny Hill meeting.

She was so-called slain in this pair. Fell back, broke her arm between your shoulder and your elbow, still having problems, still having problems. She screamed in pain. And they told her to shut up. And they dragged her out of the meeting because she was disturbing the meeting. If I was there, I would have dragged her up to the stage. And I would have said, Benny, hand you broke her arm. You need to heal it. And of course, they don’t let you do that.

So I think it’s a total counterfeit and totally false and totally a tragic thing where people that are healthy go to a healing meeting and get sick or get broken or get hurt or get injured. And the other fellow has a back injury. They told him to just lay quiet, that they had insurance. Are you believing that? So here they’re at a healing meeting and they’re telling him about insurance because he was injured at the healing meeting. He came in well, but he walks away now with permanent back injuries.

I think these things are a tragedy and those are the stories you don’t hear on your TV set when you hear these meetings. They don’t tell you about the people they hurt and that is really sad. In any case I hope everybody listening is a saved person. If you’re to be saved you have to recognize you can’t save yourself and totally trust in what Christ did for you at the cross of Calvary’s. He died in his blood as the full payment for your sin.

It’s not what you do for God that saves you. what God did for you at the cross. What we do for God will not save us. And after we’re saved, what we do for God will bring about reward. But to be saved, we have to recognize we cannot save ourselves, and only Christ can save us. And the moment we trust him, he saves us eternally. The Bible says in Ephesians in verse 8, chapter 2, it’s by grace, are you saved mercy, by unmerited favor?

Are you saved through faith in Jesus Christ? And that none of yourselves that is the gift of God, it’s not of works, lest any man should boast or buy. Not of works. So when you trust Christ, you become saved. Then there’s a second decision we make and that’s to become a disciple, and God will bless and reward us as we live for him after we’re saved. But our works and our deeds have nothing to do with saving us or keeping us saved.

Again, we’re leaving for Israel. I hope you’ll go with me February 25th. Call. We’ll send your brochure. We’ll talk to you about it. We have some exciting books in our Resource Center. We have the books by Charles Larkin, which I love so very much. He wrote about a hundred years ago, he was an architect, he got saved, he used his skills to draw these wonderful charts.

We have a book here called Dispensational Truth. It has 160 charts in it that just lay out the Bible. The book of Daniel, the book of Revelation are outlined, the book of Ezekiel. The book of Genesis, the book of Matthew all outlined. You can see all the events visually in these wonderful charts. We have a chart under just on the tribulation period just on the Daniel 70th week. All of these things are explained in the chapters that are there and wow.

To me, it’s one of the greatest books I’ve ever read. As a brand new believer, I got a copy and I remember reading and I just was so excited. I continued to read until finally I discovered myself asleep with my arms folded under my my head and I fell asleep right on top of the book open and I just read until I couldn’t read anymore. Well, you know, that still is my favorite book and we have it here in our resource center.

Also, the book on Revelation, the book of Daniel, the book, right divided into word of truth, the book on the spirit world, the book on the second coming, all my parents’ luck and these are great books that you will not find in your Christian bookstore. They just aren’t out there and I don’t know why. The good books sometimes are not even promoted anymore and that’s a sad story but we have them. Also we want you to know that you can call us anytime, say hi and if you want call and order resources or tell us you’re enjoying the program and if you want to give a gift to Bible and you can do that too over the telephone.
