Welcome to Bibleline with Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Coming to you from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida declaring God’s love through radio and television, providing real answers to an ever-searching world. Got a question? Dial toll free at 1-800-576-3771. Now here’s the host of Bibleline, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Well, good morning and welcome to Bibleline great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We look forward to being with you every day Monday through Friday as we come to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church.

We’re on the pastor. It’s great to be with you and thanks for tuning in. It’s Tuesday and we’ll be around all week long. I hope you’ll tune us in every day. We just got an email from a listener in Melbourne, Australia. That’s right, just yesterday. People around the world are tuning in and we have obviously one of the latest countries added, 153 countries now, was last week we had Burma. And Burma is of course a Buddhist country. And so people around the world in the Middle East and the Far East and the islands of the Pacific, South America, Central America, the islands of the Caribbean, North America, Canada, all around the world.

You have people that are finding Bible and which is exciting. You can go there on the internet yourself if you go to BibleLineMinistries.org and click on the spinning globe and you’ll get the radio programs, click on the TV set, you’ll get the TV programs, click on the camera and you’ll get the worship services and if you do that at 11 o’clock Sunday morning you’ll get the worship service live. We hope you’ll try it out and we wish that you could take some time and look at all the different things that are there.

We have our online bookstore. So if you can’t visit our resource center which is open every day till about 4.30, you can go to the internet and you can visit our resource center and see all the things that we have to offer. We’ve got some wonderful books by Clarence Larkin in our resource center that we just restocked everything and he wrote about a hundred years ago and I like in his big book called Dispensational Truth to if you ever put a puzzle together and you know if you didn’t have that picture on the outside of the box I think you’d have a lot of difficulty but if you know that there’s a lake at the bottom right there’s a mountain at the upper left and there’s a boat in the middle of the lake with a sail on it and so on and so on well obviously you would be

easily able to find some of the pieces and get things going, especially if you saw there was a house directly ahead on the other side of the lake and all those kind of things. You would have some warning as to what you were trying to look or get. So anyway, why don’t you take a look at that book because his charts give you that picture and you’ll find everything the Bible seems to just plug in so easily then once you get that visual and he’s got the charts, 160 charts in that particular book, plus all the chapters that explain all kinds of doctrines.

Wow, one of the great books. And of course we have about six of his books. We’ve had his book on Revelation, his book on Daniel, his book on the Spirit World, his book on Rightly Divided in the Word, his book on the Second Coming of Christ, and of course the one I just mentioned, Dispensational Truth. We also have have some excellent books here. One on prayer, probably one of the best I’ve ever read, called Prayer, Asking and Receiving by John R.

Rice. That is a jewel of a book and will really just open up your understanding, I think, to what the Bible says about real biblical prayer. A lot of what you hear is really not prayer. It’s a praise report or it’s Thanksgiving or it’s something else but prayer. I won’t tell you the answer because I think you ought to get the book and read it. Plus we have the Old Scofield Bible. If you go to your bookstore, guess what?

You’re not going to get one. At least I would be surprised because they have taken the Old Scofield Bible and they pretty much put it on the shelf. Very difficult to get anymore. You need the 1909 or 1917. After that, they’ve added notes that were not by Dr. Scofield. Many of those I disagree with. They take in the Old Notes by Dr. Scofield and watered them down so they’re no longer the potent clear answers that we used to have in the old.

Well anyway we have all… He was the only exclusively the old Schofield Bible. Thanks to one of our listeners, we bought the Geneva Bible, which we have here, available to, which was an English version of the Bible printed before the King James. It’s kind of interesting to compare, but it’s a forerunner certainly and published in the 1500s before the King James in 1611. Lots of things. Tapes, CDs of my teachings. And we’re right now teaching the Bible. And we’re right now teaching the book of 1 Peter.

That’s right. If tonight, if you’re in driving distance, you’re welcome to come out and sit in my classes. From 7.15 till 9.15, we’re going to do class 5 and 6 tonight. And then two more weeks we’ll finish. 10 hours of teaching and finish the book of 1 Peter. It’s been a great study. Everybody is excited and learning. And you’ll enjoy the fellowship of all the others that are coming to study 1 Peter. That’s tonight. If anybody has an interest in Israel, there’s still a chance of talking to the travel people.

They said, we can always try. So if you all of a sudden say, hey, I think I want to go, we would love to have you. And we’ll try to facilitate that. Just give us a call and we’ll tell you how you can do that. We’re now going to turn to the Bible and hope you have your Bible there so you can turn with us. But it’s interesting to me that people today, when they study their Bible, they don’t rightly divide.

They just read and they don’t do any real thinking. And the Bible says in 2 Timothy 2.15, study, to show thyself a prove. You have to put some effort in and you have to do some thinking. And there’s so many things that need to be separated. It says they are rightly dividing the word of truth. So to be a student to come to the place where you can rightly divide is of course the secret to mastering the Bible. And you have to be able to separate for example between the first coming of Christ and the second coming of Christ.

Two coming separate by a gap of 2000 years. Then there is a separation you have to make between the rapture and the second coming. They’re not the same event. At the rapture Christ comes part way to the earth and he snatches us up to meet him in the atmosphere, in the air, in the clouds, and will ever be with the Lord. And then seven years later Jesus Christ comes back visibly. All the way touches on the earth. He is feet, the Bible says in Zechariah 14, 4, touch on the Mount of Olives which is just east of Jerusalem.

It will split in half and Christ will go through the Eastern Gate into the temple area and there will be a third temple standing that will be rebuilt right after the Rapture during the Tribulation period. And you will find that those are separate events. A lot of people mix up the Rapture with the Second Coming and again they are not practicing what the Bible says study and then rightly divide the Word of Truth. There’s a tremendous difference between salvation and discipleship.

And again, this is a blur in many churches where they don’t make the distinction. And the problem with that is that if you become a disciple and think that that’s a part of being saved, you won’t be saved at all. This is called Wardship Salvation when you add human works to the plan and you actually are here taught that you have to submit yourself to Christ to obey Him and serve Him, submitting to His Lordship in order to be saved.

There are many that will do that, the Bible says, that will not be saved because that’s what they’re trusting in the Kingdom. They’re having to let me point out Matthew 722. Here it says many. I believe that means the majority of those who name the name of Christ and claim to be Christian. Many will say to me in that day, Lord Lord. Notice they acknowledge the Lordship of Christ. Notice also here they are obedient to the Lordship of Christ because they immediately now began to say how they have been obedient.

They said Lord look at what we have done, why we have preached in your name and we have in your name cast out demons and in thy name we have done many. That’s just a few but many wonderful works. Oh all to be commended right? Well guess what? 23 Jesus says all professors of them I never knew you not I once knew you and I lost you That’s impossible once you’re saved you’re safe forever, but these people were never saved.

He says I never knew you Why? Because they were trusting in their words if this crowd had said Lord Lord didn’t we trust that you? And at the cross of Calvary gave your life, shed your blood, you were buried, you rose again from the dead and we trust in your death and shed blood as the only means of our salvation Jesus would have said come on in. But notice these people are doing exactly what the Bible says you’re not to do.

God’s plant God’s plant of salvation is not to be. is not of works, Ephesians 2 9 says, lest any man should boast or brag. So these people are boasting and bragging, aren’t they? Look at verse 22 of Matthew 7, if you have your Bible open. It says, your many will say to Jesus in that day, Lord, Lord, they submit to the Lordship of Christ, and it says here, and here they brag in three areas. Why we preached in your name, we’ve healed in your name, and in thy name have done many wonderful works.

Many wonderful works. In Christ then we will profess to them, I never knew you. Then I once knew you and I lost you, but I never knew you. They were never saved. And then this is the big surprise that in verse 23 ye that work iniquity. Now they were saying, we have done wonderful good works. Christ called it iniquity. Why? If you substitute anything in the place of Christ’s death and shed blood as the only means of your salvation, You have committed the biggest crime that you can ever commit.

That’s right. Spiritual crimes are of more weight than physical crimes, and we find that the worst crime you can commit is to try to save yourself and reject the blood of Christ as the only means of salvation. Many churches today don’t sing about the blood of Christ anymore. Many hymnals now are coming out and leave out the great hymns about the blood. There are some wonderful hymns and I think we ought to probably maybe see more hymns about the blood because of this tremendous shift in Christianity where the death of Christ and the blood of Christ is offensive and people don’t want to hear or sing about it apparently.

I love that hymn writer who wrote, What Can Wash Away My Sin? And he said, What? Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. What a great hymn. What can wash away my sin? Answer, nothing but the blood. But you know, the Lordship Crowd says, No. What can wash away my sin? They say, Obviously, submitting to the Lordship of Christ, and obeying Him and His commandments, living for Christ daily. is a lie and it’s not true.

You don’t have to change to be saved. You come as you are. That’s why I love that other hymn. The hymn writers seem to have gotten it right on many of them. I love that hymn just as I am. It says, just as I am, I come without one plea, but that my blood was shed for me. That’s the only plea. To get into heaven, you have to plead the blood. You have to say, only the blood of Christ could wash away.

What it says, I’m trusting in Jesus and his shed blood, nothing else. Just as I am I come without one plea, not one plea, but that thy blood which shed for me. If you want to be saved, you have to trust in Christ and Christ alone. If you add works to that, you will not be saved. And by the way, what if somebody got saved and didn’t change and never did one good work in their whole lifetime and died?

Well, guess what? The Bible has an answer. 1 Corinthians chapter 3 talks about the judgment seat of Christ where all believers will one day stand before the Lord, and it says here in verse 15, If any man’s work shall be burned, at that judgment your works will be burned up if they are not of any value to the Lord. If any man’s works shall be burned, he shall suffer loss, but it’s not salvation, it’s rewards. ever lost, but he himself shall be saved, but he himself shall be saved, yet so as my fire.

This person, and notice the verse anticipates some that will do zero. Nothing, no change in their life. They have done nothing that’s worthy of reward, no works at all, worthy of reward, and their Their works are burned up, they’ll suffer loss, loss of reward for all eternity, but he himself shall be saved, yet smells my fire. People are saved eternally based upon what Christ did for them, and not based upon what we do for him. It’s amazing how many people are blinded to that, and they’re going to go right through their Christian life.

He’s trusting on the fact that they’re living the Christian life to get him into heaven. Jesus will say, and he’s already told us in advance what he’s going to say, he’s going to say, I never knew you. Can you imagine those will be the harshest words ever heard in all eternity. I never knew you. Now they thought that the Lord knew them. They thought they were in. They thought they were Christians. And they named the name of Christ. And they say, Lord, Lord, look at all these words.

wonderful things that we’ve done in three categories. Submitting to the Lordship of Christ, they said, we preached in your name, we healed in your name, and we did many wonderful works in your name. And Christ said, that’s the wrong answer. You should have pled the blood. You should have trusted in my death at Calvary. You should have trusted in the work that I did on your behalf that purchased your salvation. But no, you are counting on what you have done, and I’m sorry, I never knew you.

that I once knew you know lost you I never knew the part for me you to work in equity i say this because i’m pleading for your soul there are people right now listening that are obviously uh… not buying that and they will not make heaven they will not enter in when they stand there they said but lord look i did all these wonderful works and i was faithful to the end i did my very best and guess what Jesus will say, Pilophil the Rags.

A Pilophil the Rags. You will not enter in. You will not enter in. And that’s something I’m telling it’s scary. And I am fighting for those of you that believe you have to change your life, your water baptized, join the church, be faithful. Those things have to do with the Christian life. Those things have to do with rewards, but they have nothing to do with your salvation. If you plead anything else than the blood of Christ, my friend, according to the scripture, you will not, you will not enter heaven.

I love Romans chapter 4 verse 5, where it says to Him that worketh not or does not work, but believeth on Jesus that justifies ungodly people. His faith in Jesus Christ is counted for righteousness. You can’t get any clearer than that. It talks about a person who doesn’t work at all. A person who does no works. In fact, it tells us that’s the way everybody saved. Romans 4, 5 says, but to him that worked if not or does not But believe it on Christ that justifies ungodly people, his faith in Jesus Christ is counted for righteousness, you will enter heaven based upon what Christ did for you, not what you did for him.

We have no part in salvation but to receive it. I hope you have received the free salvation that God has offered by grace, by mercy, on Meredith’s favor through faith in Jesus Christ and his finished work at the Cross of Calvary. I’m Dr. Englundschirme, we’re going to go to the phone lines and we sure do thank you for tuning in today. And we’re coming to you live on this Tuesday from Tampa, Florida. From our studios, you’re welcome to come by tonight and join me on my class in first Peter.

We’ll do two hours tonight and then we’ll do two more weeks and we’ll finish up tonight. It will be class five and six and that’s from about seven fifteen to nine fifteen. You’re going to go to the Peter in Tampa, Florida and Peter, welcome to Bibleline you are on Hello Pastor, boy that was such a powerful sermon you’ve got so far. I don’t know how I can add anything to it, but you had a caller yesterday, Jim. It was the first caller of the day.

And I was so moved to hear him and I hope he’s listening today because I’ve been crying for you, Jim. I don’t know who you are. Know who you are? But I know you’re doctrine. And I know you’re doctrine because I believed it. I went to the Christian High School for 40. I prayed on my knees. I had the tears of sorrow of recognizing my sins and what they had done to my Savior Christ. And I did what my pastor said.

I gave my heart to Christ. I walked the aisles. ISynth, I did the altar call, true, on-screen, understand when to Bible college to be a preacher studied to learn. And Jim I was never saved. And I was never saved because I did not know that salvation was by grace. When I hear the message now, when I hear the Baptist and I don’t mean to pick on just them, but when I hear them say, come to the altar, give your heart as a basis for salvation, it is nothing more than saying, follow the Ten Commandments.

The Ten Commandments designed to show what sin was and how that we needed to live, but it was to show that we needed a Savior because we did not have the ability to do it on our own. man is justified by the law. When you say you must give your heart to Christ, you’re saying you must follow the Ten Commandments to be saved. The relationship to the Eleventh is no one will be justified by the law. The relation to the Street 3 having begun in the Spirit, are we now perfected by the flesh again?

And in Romans 11, 6, Paul puts it so clearly that if we’re saved by grace, then it is no more of work. And if it’s of works, then it’s no more grace. That stipulations pass as I do not frustrate the grace of God. These that you can hear pray for you. I pray for all the people that have been misled and that are thinking they have to give something and are thinking they’re doing something and it’s gonna give them a salvation.

Please listen. Peter, I was calling for you to listen. Repent. Change your mind upon how you achieve salvation. Thank you, Pastor. I’m sorry. Have a good day. Sorry. Jim, if you’re listening, if you want to have a dialogue with Peter, he would love to do that. I’m sure. So give us your number and we’ll let you to hook up if you’d like to. But I know he’s concerned about your salvation. You know, this is a matter of life and death.

It’s not splitting hairs. not really talking about the nomination of viewpoints it’s all about what is the scriptures saying and scriptures very plain we’re not saved by anything of self we’re gonna go down to pennsylvania up to done more pennsylvania we’re gonna talk to tom and tom uh… we welcome you to the bible and program thanks for tuning in today it’s on good morning you’re on the air right now it’s a hard question the last week You were talking about the various versions, new versions of the Bible, and I tuned in probably three quarters of the way through and didn’t quite get to hear all of it.

I have a question of the New King James Version. He’s very prominent with that and if there is, I’d like to know because I just got brand new one. Also second. Also, second question in the book of Genesis. Joseph is so, he goes to Egypt, he works his way up to number two man in Egypt. At that point, why? Why didn’t Joseph send for his dad? Why wait so long? I’m going to hang up and listen to you on the radio, but I appreciate your time.

Alright. Thank you so much. Well, you know, Tom, on these translations, many of them have departed, including the new King James. I wish they had just taken the King James English and made it fresh, but they did more than that. In fact, we have a sheet we can send to you free of charge that lists the different areas where doctrine has been really substantially changed, including adding works to salvation. So you’ll want to get that. Plus they use on their cover page the pagan symbol for the Trinity, the same symbol that you would find on a Led Zeppelin album and other Satanic rock groups use that symbol all the time.

Why would they choose such a symbol on their cover of their Bible? That’s I think just amazing, maybe a little tip off from the very beginning that you’re getting in the trouble with the New King James. We have a book here called New Age Bible Versions that covers quite in detail about 20 of these new ones. In fact, it’s about 800 pages and definitely will open up your eyes. So if you want to call later and ask for the New King James sheet that will expose some of it, that would be great.

Let me say goodbye to our Miami listeners. We’re on every day, but we have to close out a little bit early for you because you go off the air before other stations do. Thanks for tuning in and again we need your prayers and of course we could use your support to be able to maintain that program that in Miami. Alright we’re back and I sure hope that helps and thank you for that call from Dunmore, Pennsylvania. We thank you for calling in.

We now have Roy in the berry Florida over on the east coast of Florida and Roy welcome to Bylin. Yeah I’m hiding on this morning. Good morning. I had them tell me that Jesus is not God and I was shocked because I thought everyone knew that Jesus was God. I just want to go over the fact that Jesus Christ is God. I’m very surprised. Usually, I’ve just recognized Jesus as God and believe it in the Trinity. But Jesus Christ, of course, is God.

He is the second eternal member of the Godhead. If you read John chapter 1 verse 1, it says, in the beginning, was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. In verse 14, it says, the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. We find that Jesus is God incarnate. He took on a human body. That body, of course, was fathered by God himself, the Holy Spirit. He entered that body and was the God-man here on the earth, fully God and fully man.

There are numerous verses that point out that Jesus is God. So I wish I had a lot of time to do that, but we’re coming up on our break here. So let me just say thanks to all of you for listening today, and we got more calls waiting. We’ll catch them in the second half hour, and we hope that you’ll stay tuned to be able to be in on that second half hour. If you’re local here in the Tampa Bay Area, we have a class on 1st Peter tonight, two hours.

You’re welcome to come and sit in during that class tonight from 7.15 to about 9.15, and also, So of course we certainly covet your prayers and we would like to have you help us financially as well because we are dependent upon you the listener to keep this program going. We’re going to take our break, we’ll be right back and don’t go away and we’ll do a second half hour of our bye-bye. Don’t go away, Bibleline will be back in a moment.

Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Anglin Striman. It’s great to be with you today. Thanks so much for tuning in. We appreciate you and all of our listeners so much. We look forward to meeting you. We had some folks come by yesterday from up in Michigan listening on the station that we’re on in Lansing, the capital of Michigan. We have been another family just south of Lansing in our worship services on Sunday. We appreciate you getting to meet you guys and how wonderful it was for you all to come by to make that effort and uh…

to visit with us and uh… we welcome of course our listeners to come by and we’d love to get a chance to meet all of you i’ve been told by the uh… tour company that we still can offer the trip by we it’s you know you need to call maybe we can still get you in and uh… courses a little bit more risky now because of the closest but uh… that we’ve been told in some cases i’ve gotten somebody on board within two days of the trip as long as you have your passport and everything else.

So let me talk to you. Please give me a call about that. We also want you to know we are listeners supported. We need your help to be able to keep this program going. Your prayers are deeply appreciated. And of course your gifts to Bible and are as well. You can call and give a gift by a credit card over the phone and or you can call and ask for an envelope to be sent with our guests on it.

And mail a gift into Bible and our phone number here. If you’d like to call in on the program is 1-800-576-3771. We’re about ready to do a second half hour. And by the way, all of these programs are on the internet every day. If you’d like to order a copy on CD, we can produce that and send it to you. We also have CDs and DVDs of my teachings, of my classes, and even of my worship services, if you would like to get a last-70 sermon.

available on DVD and you can call our operators and they can tell you about all of that and you can also order a resource sheet to be sent that would give you the prices and names of the sermons and so on. By the way they’re all sitting on the internet to watch for free. So if you have internet access click on the camera on the home page and you can see a years where the sermons, video and audio on there waiting for you and if you do that at 11 o’clock in the morning, you’ll catch the live service every Sunday morning.

It’s sure good to be able to be with you and we’re looking forward to having a great year this year. Maybe the Lord will come this year. I don’t know, but I believe we are getting closer. And we know that we have a great, wonderful mission from the Lord and that is to tell people of the wonderful free grace, the free salvation he’s purchased by Christ’s death at Calvary. So hold your radio tight, we’re going to go back and rejoin the stations that have been on break and do the second half hour.

Now, would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back for a break and this is Bible and it’s great to be with you. And again, we were just so excited this week. We had visitors from Pottersville, Michigan on Sunday in our worship service. And then yesterday we had some people that are from Lansing, Michigan. They’re all listening on the station there in the Capitol 1390 on the AM now, every day.

And they’re coming by. I’m just flattered. And we’ve had people from New York and other states from Pennsylvania and other states where people are coming by that have been listening to the program. And we have them coming up from South Florida. And any of you listening to that in South Florida, we’d love to have you come up and visit us sometime as well. Anyway, that’s an encouragement to us. And we just got an email yesterday from Melbourne, Australia, from a listener there.

And it’s not amazing that around the world, it truly is the World Wide Web. But our website is being found by people around the world, and they can listen to the My Blind Program, watch our worship services and and uh… clean all the information we have there for them and we’re excited about what that is doing through bible and maybe you’d like to have a part in all that and i believe as you invest in bible and uh… your return in heaven will be great because i believe that you’re going to get the maximum for your investment we don’t pay any salaries so uh…

all of our money is a come in go right back out into the ministry and we spread ourselves out as far as we can to make sure we get this message to every look and cranny of the earth as best we can with the money we have. I’ll tell you, if we had some more support, we can really be all over the subpreant world and we have offers to be on everywhere including all of Europe and Africa and Asia on the radio but we haven’t gotten that far yet but we’d like to be able to do all of that and of Of course, all across the US as well where we’re not on live broadcast.

Would you consider praying for us and would you consider giving the Bibleline? Your gifts are the indispensable part of Bibleline. I can be your voice and you can be the support group that stands behind us and keeps us going and we really are looking for help this month even. If you could help us this month, that would be wonderful. I mentioned her several times now, has a limited budget, but she says I’m going to give one dollar a day to Bible and you know she’s been faithful now for over a year.

And I think how wonderful that she would set aside a dollar every day and give that to Bible and if we had a lot of people doing that, it would be a great check. Would you consider something like that and maybe being a supporter of Bible and you You can give your gift today by credit card over the phone. You can also call and ask for envelopes to be sent. And mail your gift in here to Bibleline. But we’re really not trying to get your money.

We want to get the gospel out. And the way to do that is that we pay for the radio time, the satellite time, the phone bills and the phone connections. We go by ISDN, which is a digital phone line to Detroit, Michigan, right out of Tampa, right out of our studio here and then they throw us up on the satellite over the equator and then all the stations pull us down off of that satellite over the equator and then you hear it on your radio right now.

Probably at every station that you’re hearing by one on right now is pulling that live signal right off of the satellite and we go from Tampa here to Detroit on a digital phone line to broadcast quality there and they throw it up on the satellite and we hope that you’ll realize that we’re trying our best to reach out as far as we can and shoot straight, tell people the truth from the word of God without apology, not everybody’s happy.

We have some people that want to debate it, but the Bible is very clear and I don’t think there is a debate because let’s say a floor. That’s what God says and we just try to point that out and you can make up your own mind as you hear the verses and so on. But God bless and thank you in advance for your prayers and for your gifts to Bible. We have a faithful caller today who’s been waiting all the way through the break.

He lives in Plant City, Florida and his name is Jay. And Jay, we want to welcome you to Bible. And it’s great to have you with us today. Jay, are you there? Yes, sir. All right. My question is may a miles wall? I think it was a few months ago. What is the great? All right. Well, you know, first of all, it shows us the accuracy of God’s word that this just wasn’t a fantasy written down, but it’s actually supported by hard facts and the archeologists are finding them all the time that support the stories of the Bible is being true.

And we believe all of the Bible to be true. from Genesis to Revelation. But also, Jerusalem now, of course, is the major player in our current days because it’s the capital of Israel and Israel became a nation in 1948 after having been scattered around the world for 2000 years. And now the Muslims also wanted as their capital and the United Nations went to make it in the international city. Well, it’s a lot of barking and arguing and strife over this city, which nobody seemed to care about much for the past two thousand years.

And it’s a part of prophecy because the Bible says, I am going to Zachariah chapter 12 says in verse 9, I will destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. In chapter 14 of Zachary on verse 2 it says, I’ll bring all nations against Jerusalem to battle. And then it says, Jesus will fight on behalf of Israel and will set up His Kingdom, a thousand year Kingdom called the Millennium. So I think all of this about Jerusalem and they’re finding the foundations and where the walls were and where the temple once stood.

It’s all very significant as it plays into the role of the Israel and the Jerusalem will see during the tribulation period. In Christ we’ll come back to a rebuilt temple on that temple mount not far from Nehemiah as well. Hope that helps a little bit Jay but thank you for calling in from Plant City and we now are going to go to Terry and Terry is calling in from Paul Marber and Terry and Paul Marber welcome to Bibleline your own ear.

Hi Mr. Lindstrom, how are you today? Good. Good. I need to, I need to defend the Baptist here. I’m Baptist. And we do believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And we believe that He is God. Well, I have always known that. I was right surprised by that last call that said that apparently His Church was a way off or I don’t know whether they had a It was an official like a Baptist Church. Sometimes people choose names and they’re not even connected with a The traditional Baptist teaching minute of course I’ve I’ve always been familiar with Baptist Church’s teaching that Jesus is God That’s right accepted Christ when I was 13 and I rededicated my life to Monadas 23 And I walked down now when I got baptized, but I know know that that’s not what saved me.

What saved me was acknowledging that Jesus Christ is my savior. Now when I walked down the aisle and I got back past, it was a witness to his body because Jesus tells us you have to make it public. You know, you need to make your decision public because it can, it’s what Jesus wants us to do. Sure, well it doesn’t save you. Like you said, I’m glad you got that clear. And apparently you had some good pastors that taught it correctly.

But after we become saved, absolutely, we ought to be a witness for Christ and let the world know that Jesus is our Savior. But none of that saves us, we’re saved by what he did for us at the cross. You’re right on, Terry, and I thank you for… You know, one more thing. I’m going to say Pastor Ninsbud, through that talk made us. It was the word of God that revealed this to me. Well, that’s even better because you got it straight from the Bible enough from somebody else.

Second hand. Right. Amen. It’s like in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse 3 and 4, for I deliver unto you first of all that which I also receive, how that Christ died first and supported to the Scriptures, and that he was buried and that he rose again Thursday according to the scriptures. Now when we accept him as our Savior, we don’t just accept him as our Savior Lord. He died for our sins, so we have got to acknowledge that. Alright Terry, thank you.

Okay, thank you. Have good day. Oh my God. Well, she got saved from the Bible, which is great. And that’s better even because when you see it in the Bible and you know this is what God has said. That’s what’s important. And after we become saved, we should acknowledge that to let people know so that others will come to know Christ’s Savior, but our acknowledgement doesn’t save us. Thank you so much, Terry. We’re now going to go to Junior and Junior is in Tampa.

And Junior, welcome to the Bibleline program. We’re glad to have you on board today. Junior? Yes sir. You’re on the air. Dr. Lissen? Yes. Hey, good morning. Good morning. It’s sort of something to be listened to your program. Good. I have a question. It’s based on, I’m a new Christian and I was taught, for my understanding, you cannot That is correct. That’s correct. That’s correct. Now, my keeps referring back to people 6, 4 to 6, and it’s a convincing argument to these.

Let me know that even it sounds like, and they actually lose their salvation. I’m at work, so I’m a business leader. Listen, okay, Junior, thank you for going in. It’s amazing how many people get all confused on that passage. They’re talking to Christians for sure and is talking about what happens if you fall away from the Lord. Now, falling away does not mean you’ve lost your salvation and that’s where people go astray. The phrases that are used in the New Testament are, fall from our steadfastness, fall from our confidence, fall from our assurance and so on and you can fall away from serving but you cannot fall away from salvation, you’re saved eternally.

So what the verses is telling us here is that you don’t have to go back and become saved again. This was written in Hebrew, believers, and they had been used to the sacrifices at the temple and how that once a year they had to bring a sacrifice. And here the Bible is saying you don’t have to go back and offer another sacrifice. You don’t have to go back and become saved again. It says in verse 4 through 6 of Hebrews chapter 6 that it’s impossible to go back and become saved again.

That’s what it’s saying. It’s impossible to renew them under the repentance that they had when they got saved. That change of mind that brought about salvation when they trusted Christ as the only means of going to heaven. And it says if they try to do that, they put Christ to an open shame, crucifying Him all over again and obviously we don’t accomplish anything but be a bad witness to others because what we’re saying if we go back and try to be saved again is that Christ one time death was not sufficient to save us forever.

And many churches teach that you can lose it and then they invite you to come back and be saved again. It doesn’t make any sense. The Bible says nothing about being born again again or being born again and again and again and again and again. You’re only born again once, just like you’re born physically once, you’re only born the second time once and it’s forever. But it does go on to say that we should be bringing forth works and deeds that will bring about reward.

Verse 9 says, we’re talking about things in a company’s salvation, they’re not talking about how to be saved, but it’s impossible to be saved twice. So it says in verse 10 that God is not unrighteous to forget your labor and your works of love. He’ll remember and reward everything you do for God. So if you’ve gotten away from Him, you need to get back with Him and get serving again. But you don’t go back and try to become saved again.

So the repentance there is really referring to the initial change of mind that you had about Christ and about how you were saved when you trusted Him initially. just one refers to that and says let’s go forward from that repentance from dead works that we had when we got saved and move on to maturity as a believer. And it tells us that if we stumble along the way and we get away from serving the Lord that we don’t need to go back and become saved again but we do need to start serving again.

I hope that helps. And if you have internet access… If you go to my website, BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the bottom right hand corner says Dr. Lindstrom’s articles. I have one entitled Hebrews 6, 4 through 6, and I go into it in great detail. It’s certainly not talking about loss of salvation. Thank you, Junior, in Tampa, Florida. And now we’re going to go to Mary in Spring Hill, Florida, and Mary. Welcome to Bibleline. Hi, Pastor Hank. I have a question.

Okay. What is the difference in justification and sanctification? Well, justification is a legal term, and it means to be declared righteous in God’s court of law. So, there God’s justice is satisfied by the substitutionary payment of Christ. that he took our place and paid the full payment for our sins by his death. Sanctification, the Greek word means to make pure and holy, and as a result that we are legally declared righteous in our position before God we are made righteous by sanctification.

It says over in Hebrews chapter 10 verse 10, by the Witch Willer, by the will of God we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. So one has to do with the legal aspect that God’s laws are satisfied and will no longer be brought into judgment. But the Holy Spirit, upon belief in Christ’s death and his shed blood at the cross, then cleanses us of our sin and the Bible says we’re made pure and holy.

That’s what the word sanctified means. So both have to do a salvation, but one is just the legal part where God could not just wink at our sin or just ignore it. He had to satisfy his own justice as a just God and to satisfy his love, of course, he himself became the sacrifice and paid our sin debt and fold the cross. I hope that helps a little bit. Well, do we get more and more sanctified? Well, positionally, no.

We’re as sanctified as will ever be at the moment of salvation, but then in our practical aspect of the Christian life, there’s a difference between our standing and our state. Our standing, we’re right now sanctified, and it says in verse 14 of Hebrews chapter 10, he have perfected forever them that are sanctified. So you’re perfected forever as far as God is concerned from the moment you believe onward. But in our actual state, we still have a sin nature, we still have habits that we need to correct and deal with and maybe abandon.

And so as we move along in our Christian life, we ought to practice what we call practical sanctification where we bring our lives more in tune with Jesus every day and eliminate things that we recognize or wrong. And I think as we grow as a Christian, God will show us more things in our life that we need to deal with and get rid of. And so it’s a gradual process, but as far as our position, it’s instantaneous. We become sanctified at the moment of belief and as a result, the noun form of that word is saint.

We become saints. Not as the Catholic Church teaches that you have to be dead several hundred years and have your life reviewed and have done a miracle and have a large body of people examine those records and then vote on you and decide whether you’re a saint or not. The Bible says that every believer at the moment of belief becomes a saint in your saint forever, your perfected forever, positionally. But in our practical sanctification, we’re all moving forward. Hopefully we should be striving to be more Christ like every day until we’re with Him in heaven.

Hope that helps. Can I ask one more question? Sure. A church that really doesn’t think that Israel has a right to be there. Well, those are most of the churches of the Reformation. I believe that way the Roman Catholic Church believes that way. And the Presbyterian Church. Huh? An offshoot of a Baptist church. Well, then they’re probably often the theology from the Reformation or, you know, which this came through most of the Reformation churches. That’s totally wrong. If you read Jeremiah 31, 31 through the end of the chapter, it says as long as the sun still shines every day that God is not through with Israel.

Obviously, it has anti-Semitic roots and it’s really a doctrine I think of Satan himself to say that. And it’s wrong to support that kind of church. I wouldn’t support it myself. I can’t live without it. Generally speaking, they… Speaking of the A probably believe in replacement theology as well and that would mean that the church has replaced Israel and that’s not true. Right now God has turned to us the Gentiles in this age between Pentecost and the Rapture. But God fully has plans for Israel that will crank up right after the Rapture and during that time a temple will be rebuilt.

The Jews will be back in their land as they are right now in anticipation of that. The witnesses will be Jewish men, 144,000. Two Old Testament prophets are coming back, Moses and Elijah. So we’ll be clearly on Jewish territory once again, once the rapture is taking place. So if they believe what you just said, they probably also believe that there is no, they probably don’t even believe in the rapture or the tribulation period because those who believe that position believe that Christ has already come back.

Well, no, they believe there’s a tribulation, but they believe it’s for sinners. and nations or kingdoms. Yes, they don’t distinguish between the church, the body of Christ, and the plan that God has for the Jews, which is earthly, and this earthly kingdom that he will establish. I think you just bad doctrine breeds bad doctrine. When they don’t get those things right, they generally don’t get much right at all in other areas as well. So I think you probably need to look for another church.

Okay, thank you. Thank you for calling in Mary and she’s in Spring Hill, Florida and we’re glad to have her and you know, thank you all of you that are listening wherever you might be listening and we know that many are listening on the internet. You have friends maybe in other countries and maybe their missionaries, maybe their family members, maybe their servicemen or women serving our country in some foreign land. Why don’t you tell them about Bibleline? We have gotten calls from servicemen who in their barracks on Sunday they gather around the laptop and watch our worship services and they try as they can to listen to our radio programs and you know if they can’t listen to it live they can do it anytime they want.

We were in Israel last March and we went and got around the computer and we were able to watch the live worship service from Calvary Community Church by Church and Tampa from Israel. Everybody that was on the group, it was kind of exciting that we were able to make that connection. And I hear from people all over the country and all over the world and as I just said earlier, we got an email just yesterday from Melbourne, Australia, somebody listening to my line there and submitting a question which maybe we’ll answer sometime this week anyway we have now david from st.

Petersburg and david you are welcome to the bible and program Yeah, I know that some of these Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses that really ever get a catalyst. You rarely ever get a call from them. A friend of mine who’s been very opinionated on religion. you know like twenty five arguments he doesn’t want to talk about it anymore but it was on anything else he talked about it and it seems like there’s an object that A lot of these cults have in common with the Catholic churches.

They don’t want to hear anything after a while. They don’t want to hear anything. You contradict their teaching. They’re like little scared little rabbits or little birds like they’ll get squashed if they hear any logic or reasoning. That’s why the Catholic Church tells them they don’t listen to them at all. No demon hell or all wrong. They’re all unsafe. What can you learn from them and all that other stuff? But before they were Catholics, they’d at least listen to Catholics.

I listen to them. I was brought up as a confirm Catholic. I listen to anything poor of you right now. That’s what they have in common is 12. clothes or mind I’m absolutely right and you know the danger of that of course is that they might wind up in hell because they have never explored what the Bible had to say about how to go to heaven. It’s a gift, it’s free and yet most of these people are enslaved to a system where they have to work their way to heaven and they’re going to be in for a big surprise the head of the Mormon church just passed away and I talk about life after death and experiences.

I wish we could put a microphone to his lips right now and ask him how it is where he’s at because They don’t believe in hell, but I believe he has to be there According to their doctrines. They’re not even close to being Christian and he went He would have to he was over minded to became a Catholic. He was a Protestant before that Yeah, of course about anything and everything I said tell me what a Pope praise A little few answers here.

I could answer that about the Catholic. Well, we just need to pray for all these folks that they would get into the Bible for themselves and experience the joy and the assurance that God gives to the believer that we could know that we’re saved and saved eternally. And now we have the wonderful freedom to live for Christ and serve Him and share this good news with our friends and relatives and loved ones and bring them along with us. You know, and we die wouldn’t be great if we took a crowd with us, would have understood the Gospel and trust in Christ and go with us to heaven.

I’ve got a run because the time is out, but again, let me remind you, we have in the Tampa area here.
