Do you have missionaries or family or friends in other countries? Let them know about Bible and they can catch all of these things wherever they might be. When I was in Israel last year, I was able to go to the internet and catch my own worship service back here in the States at Calvary Community Church. Isn’t that amazing? Isn’t that amazing? Also, we met a wonderful group from Nigeria. I invited them to the Bible study ahead in the hotel in Israel in the evening.

About 40 of them came. One man stood up and shared with us that he listens to Bibleline on the internet in Nigeria. I was just ecstatic. I said, this is just amazing. Thank you, Lord, for letting me have this experience to meet somebody who’s actually listening to Bibleline from another country who travels to Israel, I travel to Israel and there we meet. Well guess what, later that week. Two days later we met another wonderful group of several groups from northern Nigeria, the other fellow was from southern Nigeria, and they recognized because they watched us on the internet.

And they wanted to get pictures with me and get some autographs and I was just blown away that we had people in northern Nigeria and southern Nigeria that were fully aware of what we’re doing. We just had a family visit our church here from Ghana, Africa. They watch and listen to us in Africa, in Ghana. We’re just amazed that the response we’re getting from around the world, people that are watching and listening to Bibleline and our worship services on the internet.

You might want to try it out by the line ministries.org or .com. If you want to call us today, we’ll be taking calls in a few minutes. That number is 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to talk about the Bible here for a few minutes and then we’ll pick our callers. Can a person who has been saved lose his salvation? Well, obviously the answer according to the Bible is no, you cannot lose it. He offers eternal life and if it isn’t eternal then God certainly told it by the wrong name.

He should have called it temporary life. He should have called it probation. He could have called it a trial period. He could have called it a lot of things, but he called it eternal life. And according to the Bible, you receive it at the moment you believe. What is interesting to me that there are those who are absolutely blinded and deceived and think that they are secure because they are really, depending upon their works, therefore they’re not saved and they won’t make heaven, and all of that is frightening to me.

I’ve had people look me in the eye and they’ll say, I’m as secure as you are. Why? Because they say, I’m never going to slip. I’m never going to go off the path. I’m never going to stop living for Christ. I’m going to keep my life faithful till the end. Well, do they realize what they’re saying? They’re actually saying that they’re trusting in their works. They’re telling me that how they live their life between now and death will keep them on track and keep them in salvation and therefore they’ll go to heaven.

You know, that makes them the Savior. Think about it. What they do and the fact that they’re going to stay faithful, they say, is what’s going to ultimately save them. That makes them the Savior not Christ. And in reality, they have never really understood the gospel, never trusted Christ. They’re really trusting in their works. If you have questions about the genuineness of your salvation, maybe you want to ask, are you really saved? Are you really sure? Do you know whether you’re saved or not?

Although the phrase eternal security does not occur in the Bible, phrases that are equivalent to this do occur in the Bible, phrases like everlasting life, eternal life, eternal salvation, eternal inheritance, eternal redemption, etc., occurs dozens and dozens of times throughout the Bible. By the way, eternal security is not a separate doctrine from not an eternal life or eternal salvation. It is the one and the same doctrine. In fact, the only salvation that God offers to mankind is eternal. John 3 16 says that for God’s full of the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who soever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

That’s John 3 16, by the way. God doesn’t offer probation. He offers salvation. God does not offer a trial period, but rather he offers to completely save and give eternal life to anyone and everyone who would respond to his invitation to simply trust Jesus Christ as the only means of their salvation. Consider the alternative. If you could lose your salvation, by virtue of the fact that you could lose it would mean that keeping your salvation would depend upon your efforts and your actions, your obedience, to keep it.

In other words, a person who says that he can lose his salvation for whatever reason is in reality saying that he is trusting in human works to save you. Let’s look at Ephesians 2, 8, and 9. It says, By grace, by mercy, on merit and favor, are you saved through faith in Jesus Christ? And this salvation is not of yourself, it is the gift of God. And verse 9 says, This salvation is not of works, lest any man should boast or brag.

is not of works and therefore a person who is trusting in his works is not and will not be saved. What are we saying? Playingly stated, a person who says he can lose his salvation is probably not saved. Or he’s thoroughly confused and lacks assurance of his salvation. Let me say this. If you’re not saved forever, then you’re not saved. I’m going to say that again. If you’re not saved forever, then you are not saved. Salvation is taught in the Bible is a present possession received at the time of the new birth, or acceptance of Christ as one’s personal Savior, is kept secure or eternal by the very power of God.

Jesus made the promise in John 637 that he would not cast out anyone who had trusted him as Savior For any reason, let me quote the verse, all that the Father giveth me Christ said, shall come to me and him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. And that means under no circumstances would he ever cast out anyone who’s come to him. He meant exactly that. There is no circumstance or instance that would cause you to be cast out or a saved person to lose their salvation.

of said to be okay, Christ won’t cast me out. I can’t argue with that verse, John 637. But I can cast myself out. This is impossible. Please read with me, John 639, where Jesus said, This is the Father’s will which has sent me that of all of which he had given me, I should lose none. He didn’t say I’m going to lose the first one hundred or the the first dozen or the first thousand, he said, I’m going to lose none.

Not one would ever be lost. And here, Jesus is telling us, it’s the Father’s will that he would not lose anybody. Think about this for a minute. If one person, the whole history, were ever lost, once they became saved, Christ would be a liar. The Bible would be a lie. The Bible would lie to the best of your Bible and walk away. You wouldn’t be able to trust anything that God said, if that be the case, Christ cannot lose anyone.

He is responsible for keeping you saved once you become saved. Let me quote the verse again. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out and bid in verse 39. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which hath given me I should lose none, but should raise them all up again at the last day. Jesus promises he will never lose anyone who has come to him for salvation and that this is the Father’s will.

If one person, one saved person, wherever lost, after they became saved, Jesus would be alive because he promised that he would not lose one. If He had said he’d lose one all my life, I’d have to worry. Maybe, maybe, maybe I’m the one who’s gonna lose. And I would have to live in a state of panic all my life. Isn’t it wonderful to know that he’s not gonna lose one? I don’t worry about whether I’m gonna be lost. Jesus said he wouldn’t lose one.

And because he’s not gonna lose one, he’s not gonna lose me. And he’s not gonna lose you if you trust Christ as your savior. a heart of this misunderstanding concerning this whole subject is the fact that human works or merit have nothing to do with salvation, but so many people want to add some human element to this. As I said a moment ago about the person I was quoting, they said to me, I’m as eternally secure as you are.

And then when you ask them on what basis? Well, because I’m never going to go straight, I’m never going to stop going to church, I’m never going to turn my back on God. And what do they say? They’re saying, listen carefully now, that because of their works and because they’re going to be faithful and live a Christian life and do the right thing right up until the day they die, they’ll go to heaven. My friend, they’re not saved at all.

You’re not saved by works. You’re not kept by works. We’re not only saved by faith, but we’re kept by Christ. Eternally, He would not lose one that come to him, I pray that you have understood the difference because many of those that are listening right now probably believe that they will make heaven if they just continue living the Christian life and if you are trusting in living the Christian life you will not make heaven my friend you will go to hell.

The Christian life didn’t die on the cross for you. Christ did. It was Christ blood in his death at the cross that provided for your salvation. There’s no other way to be saved than to trust Jesus as your Savior. The hymn writer got it right when he said, what could wash away my sin? The answer is nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing but the blood. If you add faithfulness, the Christian life, baptism, church membership, or anything else, or a continuance in being faithful to you die, you are not saved.

I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom, this is Bibleline. We’re going to go to the phone lines here. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771. 576-3771 and we invite you to give us a call here at Bible and 1-800-576-3771. Bible and 1-800-576-3771. If you have a question, we’ll try to take it here on the area if you… If you would like to leave that question off here, you can do that as well. We hope that you will bring your question here to the table.

We’re going to go and catch a question, ask the other day that we didn’t really get to. was Janice in Okamas, Michigan. She says, please explain Luke, chapter 9, 48, 9, and 50. And we had apparently a mix up on the chapter and verse, and we didn’t really get to it. So I want to catch that first here. And that’s Luke 9, 49, and 50. John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in my name, and we forbade him because he followed not with us, and Jesus said in him, forbid him not, for he that is not against us is for us.

Well, here it’s talking about the fact that there were others who were also preaching the gospel and at that time miracles were still present and you were able to do miracles and Christ said to forbid them not. But he wouldn’t be saying this if their message on the gospel was incorrect because he’s quite clear all throughout Matthew that those who are preaching a different message or false message that they were obviously in trouble with God and wouldn’t be saved and certainly wouldn’t be commended here to be allowed to continue.

But here he’s talking about people who have the same message, even though they didn’t associate themselves together with each other. They still were legitimate and should be able to preach the gospel. Well, of course we have Christians all over the world just like that. There are people that are witnessing for Jesus Christ in different countries that I’ve never met and that God is using in a wonderful way to lead people to Jesus wherever they might live. And so this is what it’s talking about certainly.

It’s exciting the fact that there are and certainly we don’t want to stop them or hinder them but if they’re preaching a different message then obviously they’re wrong and they’re misleading people and that is of course what Christ came against the Pharisees for. He says they were blind and they were leading the blind and both would fall into the ditch. We’re going to go down to Miami Florida and we’re going to talk to Claudia and Claudia welcome to Bibleline you are on the air.

Welcome to Bibleline Claudia are you there? Yes, yes. You are near. Welcome from Miami to the Bible and program. You have a question? You’re on the air. Yes. I have a question about my husband about salvation because he has done the same prayer of salvation but But then at the same time, Jesus is one of the many masters or teachers from the world. And then there are many ways to go to heaven and that Jesus is not God. Can you be saved?

The answer is no. If he rejects the deity of Christ, he will not be saved. He says in 1 John 2, 23, whosoever denies the Son the same hath not the Father. And so if you don’t have Jesus as your Savior, you don’t have the Father. And also in 2 John in verse 9, it says, whosoever transgresseth in a byeth not in the doctrine of Christ, he hath not God. So no, they don’t have God and they don’t have Christ.

They don’t have the Father. They’re not same. Jesus said in John 824, you shall die in your sins for if you believe not that I am. Now I am is the very name of God used when he showed himself to Moses at the Burning in chapter 3. Moses said, what shall I tell him if children are visual, what shall I tell him your name is? And God says, tell him that I am has sent thee. And Jesus said, if you don’t believe that I am, that is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of creation, the God of the Bible, then you will die in your sins, which means you’ll die accountable for your sins rather than forgiving of your sins through faith in Jesus Christ.

No, he needs to know Christ and recognize who he is and Definitely you need to point out some of those verses to him All right We’ll be praying for your husband He needs to know Christ if he denies the deity of Christ and he cannot be saved until he Recognizes that we’re gonna go to Wayne in st. Petersburg Florida and Wayne welcome to Bibleline. I know I’m here Wayne go ahead Okay, I’m sorry over in In Matthew 12, can you tie in the Queen of the Fouts, rising up in the judgment and bring them together and I’ll hang up and listen to them here?

Okay, I’ll be happy to do that. Thank you, Wayne, for calling in here from St. Petersburg. It says here that this was an evil and adulterous generation and they sought after a sign, but Jesus said in verse 39, I shall no sign be given it, but the sign of the Prophet Jonah. Whereas Jonah was three days and three nights in the Fish’s belly, social, the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

You know, it’s interesting to me that Jesus picks the most difficult story for people to believe, the story of Jonah, to equate his own death, peril and resurrection to. And basically he’s saying, if Jonah is a myth and that story is a myth, then I’m a myth also. He lays his credit only right on the line with one of the most incredible stories in the Old Testament. And by the way, Jonah died in Ephesians Belly. And Jonah, his soul, went into Hades in the heart of the earth into paradise.

And after three days, his soul went back into that body and Ephesians Belly was resurrected and then the fish vomited him out on the shore and he continued his mission. Just like Jesus would die and Jesus’s body would be in the tomb, but his soul would go down to the heart of the earth in Christ. Then after three days, went back into that body that was in the tomb and was resurrected and then preached for 40 more days showing that he was truly alive from the dead and was the Messiah that had been promised.

Verse 41, the men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation and shall condemn it, because they repented. That means they changed their mind at the preaching of Jonah and behold a greater than Jonah is here. Verse 42, the queen of Shiva of the south came and it says here that she’ll rise up in judgment with this generation and condemn it. As you came from the animals parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon and behold a greater than Solomon is here.

So Jesus is God. He was greater than Solomon. He was greater than Jonah and he obviously is God and all of those in the Old Testament who did understand that and trust Christ will rise up and condemn these generations that actually saw Christ and rejected him and were not saved. Thank you for calling. have a caller from Spring Hill Forum. We have Matthew on the line. Matthew, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. I wanted to hear your explanation again of what the word heart means in a New Testament concerning.

Okay, the word heart really means the center of your thought processes in 1611 because your heart would jump around when you had faced with fear or big decisions or word love or something they thought you thought with your heart. But today we know it’s with your brain. But basically it’s a word that means the center of your thought processes. We still have that with us today and we can’t hardly get rid of it. You know when you tell somebody you love them you say I love you with all your heart.

By the way let me just say goodbye to Miami. Thanks for tuning in today. We’ll be with you all week and thanks for being a listener every day down there in Miami. They just go off here a little bit earlier than before the stations. So you say I love you with all my heart, but really technically you should say I love you with all my brain, but that’s not very romantic is it? So that’s really what it’s talking about.

Obviously, when you believe with your… What a repart of your body you believe with doesn’t matter what organ you choose, but wherever that is then know what you become saved and that’s really all I’m talking about and Jesus doesn’t live in our heart the pumping organ, but Jesus does come in and dwell on our bodies upon belief. Plosians 128 says Christ dwells in us. He’s the hope of glory and how wonderful that is. So that’s really the answer. It’s just the fact that Jesus is the hope of glory.

So that’s really the answer. It’s just the fact that in 1611 they translated the English word heart as the center of our thought processes. And we’ve hardly been able to escape that language, but in reality we know we don’t do anything with our pumping organ that pumps the blood throughout our body. Thank you, Matthew, for giving that call. We’re at the end of the program here. We’re going to have to take a break here. we’re going to come back and do another half hour.

But we want you to know that the first half is going to end and then we’ll take a short break. We’ll come back and do a second half hour. You can catch the full program on the Internet, by the way, by going to Bimaline Ministries.org. We are listeners supported. If you can help us, it would be great. You could send a gift by mail or you could give a gift by credit card over the phone. If you call, we’ll be glad to send you an envelope or two with our address so you can mail a gift to Bible and we sure would appreciate your prayers and your gifts that will help us to continue to be on the air in your area.

God bless all of you who give and want to thank you in advance. We’re going to take our break now. We’ll come right back into a second half hour. More colors are waiting, but we’ll catch you right after the break. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. It’s 1-800-576-3771. Hi, I’m Dr. Englund, sir. And it’s great to be with you each and every day. And here it is Monday. And we’re looking forward to a great week.

And we hope you’re enjoying the program. And we have some wonderful calls who call in. And maybe you’re going to be one of those. You can call us and leave an offer a question, or you can call us and leave an on our question. And by the way, you can hear this program. Well, I have right now on the internet, but also you can go back later in the day. and you’ll be able to find it in archive and listen to it as often as you like.

And right now we’re teaching 1st Peter, we’ll finish that class, 9 and 10, tomorrow 9, 10 hours of teaching, and you can order that on CD and on DVD. And I think you’ll find that really a blessing. What a wonderful book 1st Peter is. We’re going to leave for Israel, we’ll come back and do 2nd Peter, And that also is going to be a wonderful, wonderful book.

And I know you’ll want to get the whole Peter set. First Peter and second Peter, 20 hours of teaching total, 10 hours that will finish tomorrow night. And then when they come back from Israel, we’ll do 10 more hours teaching second Peter. And that’ll be a wonderful set to have in your library to listen to. We also want you to know that you can always come by and visit us if you’re ever in the area. And if you live in the area, certainly we invite you to come by.

You can sit in the classes Tuesday night and that’s tomorrow night and be my guest for the last two hours of first Peter. But also you can go to the internet and catch all of these things. You can catch our worship service live on Sunday by clicking on the camera. If you go during the week, you can catch the archives. We have a year’s worth of sermons sitting there for you. We have many resources in our resource center and We of course recommend the Scofield Reference Bible.

If you go out to your Christian bookstore, they’re probably going to sell you the new Scofield, the hybrid which is really watered down in its notes and is, I don’t recommend it at all. But we have the old, which is hard to find nowadays. You really won’t find it in your Christian bookstore. And if you want to get that, we do have it and the notes are really clear, really sharp, really to the point. they are excellent at what a great study guide the old Schofield Bible is and you might want to get yourself a copy.

So give us a call. Our 800 number will work. Our operators will be glad to assist you in whatever your needs might be. Whether it be a commentary, a Bible or helps on witnessing or Christian growth or whatever it might be and we can send you a resource sheet so you can look it over. We will also be able to. We’re going to join the stations that have been on break and come back into a second half hour of Bibleline.

But if you’re in other areas, you can call in and order the CD series or you can get it on DVD and be able to see the audio and rather the video and the audio and put it up on your JumboTrom TV set, your living room or whatever you have.

We sure enjoy being with you every day and we’ve got lots of colors that want to get in on the program today And so we’re gonna go now to John in Richmond, Virginia and John are you there welcome to Bible I John has been waiting through the break and I don’t know if he’s there or not. I guess that John is right resting right now We’re gonna go now to Let’s see here. We’re gonna go to Dennis in Tampa, Florida Dennis.

Welcome to Bibleline. I’m you’re on the air Yes, over the weekend we were having like a little family thing and a comment was made about salvation and I tried to explain best as I could but the thing that I couldn’t explain very well was once they’ve always saved I believe that and I believe all of it but how do I explain that because my aunt was saying that you can’t believe and keep sinning and go to hell. heaven, you know, you could lose reward or don’t take you out early for being, you know, I understand.

You know, first of all, you might ask her, has she stopped sinning? You know, the Bible is very clear that none of us can totally stop sinning. We can have victory over sin. But in 1 John, John the Apostle writes this about 60 years after he gets saved and he includes himself in verse 8 where he says, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. I’ll never forget. I talked to one lady and she said, She hadn’t sinned in 8 years.

I said, Sten still, don’t move. If you’ll just stay right here, I’ll be right back. Then I got my Bible. I turned to 1 John 1 8. And I said, would you read this verse and explain again how that you don’t sin anymore? Well obviously she was quite embarrassed. It says, if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves. And the truth is not in us. So I mean really they’re kind of implying here that all of a sudden when they get saved they don’t sin anymore.

And that’s not true. Every believer still has sin in their life and we need to have victory over that sin. That means that we need to utilize the Lord and allow Him to give us the power to have victory through the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. But we’ll still sin after we’re saved, but we’re still saved. We’re saved forever. Once He saves us, we’re saved from hell to go to heaven. And the Bible says that the moment we believe we possess at that moment in eternal life.

I try to explain to her that she goes to church every weekend and I try to explain to her that maybe she had my first time calling. But let me just go through this a little bit with you. Maybe you can try this on. In John 16 it says, whose silver believers in Christ should not perish but have eternal life? Have means present ends, it means right now. If she would concede that she has eternal life right now, forget the future right now, but if you have eternal life right now, according to the Bible you possess at the moment you believe.

If it’s eternal life, what kind of life will it be tomorrow? It’ll still be eternal life. What about next week? It’ll still be eternal life. What about a year from now? It’ll still be eternal life. What about a hundred years? No. It’s still going to be eternal life. What about a million years? No. In other words, if it’s eternal life that you receive at the moment you believe, which is what John 3 16 says, then you’ll have it tomorrow, next week, next year, ten years now, a hundred years now, a million years now, a billion years now.

In other words, if it’s eternal, you’re going to have it forever. I receive eternal life at eighteen when I trusted Christ as my Savior. I still possess it and will forever and ever and ever and ever because it’s everlasting life. It’s so basic. that they haven’t done this thinking and thought it through. But after, if John 360 is true, do you have eternal life right now? So I have to say yes or just say, I don’t believe the Bible.

But then ask her, well, what kind of life will it be tomorrow? And how about next week? And how about next year? And then lead her on out into the future beyond her death. And you’ll have to say, look, you still will have eternal life a million years now, if it’s eternal, because it’s never going to end. So maybe another hell works, huh? And that’s with or without works. Yeah, exactly. It has nothing to do with anything we do in the future.

You receive eternal life while you’re living at the moment you believe because it’s all been painful. Christ died to pay for your past sins, your present sins, and your future sins. So like, as you were saying, even if you sin, and we’re not condoning that, but it’s a fact that we’re going to sin. We have a sin nature and John even said in 1 John 1 8, 60 years after he was saved, he was a great apostle, wrote five of them in just the books, he says, if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves.

So here’s the apostle John admitting that he still had a sin nature and still had a problem with sin 60 years after he was saved. Now I don’t think he was robbing banks and I don’t think he was killing people and I I don’t think he did any of the heinous crimes that are possible of a sinner, but I believe he recognized that he sinned and maybe thought or in word. Sometimes we can say an unkind word and that’s sin.

We’ve heard somebody else. And so everybody I believe will have to eat you gossip. You’re a sinner. I mean, there’s so many things that we can do that are sin and a lot of these people to somehow are blinded in the fact that they sin and they are picking on everybody else and saying, well, if you sin, then you’ll lose your salvation. Well, everybody does. And so you wouldn’t remain saved very long, maybe a few seconds if you had to lose your salvation or forfeit it if you sinned.

But Christ died to pay for even your future sins. Well, thank you. I’m going to try and come to your church this weekend and bring a couple family members with me. So hopefully I can get. That’s wonderful. That’s wonderful. That’ll be great. And that’s a good Sunday to choose to come because it’s our third Sunday, which means we have this wonderful dinner right after the service and you all are invited to be my guest and stay and eat lunch with us.

Thank you, sir. Alright. Thank you so much for calling and now we’re going to go to Elaine in Jacksonville, Florida and Elaine, welcome to my one. Yes, well, thank you. How are you today? Good. Good. I have a question in light of what you’ve been discussing online. I have a question in Galatians chapter 5 and it talks about how the spirit and the flesh are against each other and how if you persist in selling to the flesh you’re not going to inherit the kingdom of God.

Well it doesn’t really say that. If you have to read it carefully there, it talks about if you live after the flesh as a believer you’ll have the works of the flesh manifest in your life. It talks about people that are unsaved that do those things will not inherit eternal life. But in verse 24 it says you the believer. Have crucified the flesh by trusting Christ as Savior. So we are delivered from the penalty of sin and death. And we are not going to go to hell, but we will have the fruits of the flesh in our life if we live after the flesh.

And obviously we’ll be held accountable for that when we stand before the Lord at the judgment of Christ. And the consequences of those sins will just really wreak havoc in our lives. So definitely we don’t want to live after the flesh. But once you’re saved, you’re saved forever. And what we want to have is the fruit of the Spirit, which comes by yielding and being obedient to the Lord and to the Spirit of God as He directs us through His Word.

And we would have love and joy and peace and gentleness and all those kinds of things in our life, which I think everybody really would like to have. But if you want division and fighting and revelings and drunkenness and adultery and all those kinds of things in your life and just live after your flesh. But it doesn’t say, in fact let me just give you another parallel passage. Do you have your Bible nearby? Yes, it does. All right, turn it you over to 1 Corinthians 6 and it’s almost identical.

But it makes it very clear that the believer is exempted from the penalty of sin because we’ve trusted Christ. In 1 Corinthians 6 and verse 9, and many people read this passage but they only read 9 and 10, they don’t read verse 11, which is so significant. So turn there to 1 Corinthians 6 and notice what it says here. It says, no you not, that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Now the unrighteous are unbelievers that don’t have the righteousness of God, which is credited to the count of the believer.

Then it says, don’t be deceived, neither fornicators nor adulters nor adulters nor feminine nor beuses of themselves with mankind, nor thieves nor covetous nor drunkards nor revilers nor extorseless, shown here at the Kingdom of God. Well, it’s a big long list. But look at verse 11. And such were some of you, but you are what? Wasp. Verse 11 says, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the spirit of our God.

So according to the Bible, yes, any of those things would cause you to be lost. And every one of us can see it ourselves in that list, because who isn’t covetous? Who hasn’t told alive? And so on. And so we’re going to be in trouble if we don’t trust Christ. But when you trust Christ, it says then you were in this category. But it says, now you’re washed. you’re sanctified, you’re justified in the name of the Lord Jesus. So as a believer, we’re going to go to heaven, but we don’t want to go back and do what we did prior to our salvation that would have condemned us to hell have we not trusted Christ.

So it says in verse 12, all things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient. What it’s saying here is that you cannot be tried twice for the same crime. If you had been found guilty and went to court and went to prison and spent your time, they couldn’t say, hey, did that guy commit this crime? But yeah, you say he paid for it though. He paid the penalty that the law demanded. He went to jail and now he’s served his time and he’s out and he’s free.

Well, Jesus, of course, took that penalty and paid for it, so we’re free and therefore we cannot be judged again for any sin or crime that will ever come in in our life as far as our salvation is concerned. But Paul is saying, even though I could do anything and I would never be sent to hell because Christ paid the full payment for my past, present, and future sins, he says not all things are expedient. In other words, that’s not a smart thing to do because there are other consequences.

The Lord is chasing or disciplined upon the life of the delinquent believer. Also the fact that you’ll be held accountable when you stand before the Lord at the Judge of the State of Christ. So he says that twice down verse 12, all things are lawful for me, but I’m not going He brought under the power of any. So Paul says, I’m going to lift the Lord because I want to be pleasing to Him and I want to have His blessing and rewards here in this life and in eternity.

But I was talking with an attorney about this and he just found it very fascinating as an attorney because he says, wow, twice there, Paul pointed out that because he had already been judged under the law and was condemned and Christ took the penalty for him and paid and full, all things were lawful for him. He could not be charged again for any crime he’d ever commit in his life. And that’s amazing. It’s a hard concept for a lot of people to see or understand.

But Paul then warns about in verse 6, especially in chapter 6 verse 19, What is this don’t you know? You are your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have of God, and you’re not your own. God bought you and paid for you. For you are bought with a price, therefore what? Glorified God in your body and your spirit which are gods. So I said, don’t you know that you’ve been purchased, you’re going to go to heaven, and now the Holy Spirit lives in you, God lives in you, and that you ought to glorify God in your body.

He bought you and paid for you, and you ought to serve Him and live for Him. And that’s what it’s saying. here in this chapter. You could do anything and yes the Lord might take you home to heaven early, but you’d still be saved. I can not interrupt you but to back in Galatians the very next chapter in chapter 6. It says that to make no mistake that is not mocked, a person will reap only what he sows. Right and that’s talking about.

Say that if you sow to the Spirit you won’t be turned away, but if you sow to the flesh you will reap corruption. Yeah, that’s that’s all about the Christian life and he’s talking about the rewards that will come will be eternal and Those are the fruit of the spirit that you will have and the reward you’ll have in heaven forever, but if you Reap of the flesh then you’re gonna have the results of the flesh and you see that Throughout the Bible in fact, there’s quite specific here says whatever you sow that is also what you’re going to to reap we know that In the Old Testament, many that did different particular sins paid the price by having those same sins committed by their children or by others and they reap the results of those sins in their life.

But it’s not talking about loss of salvation or earning salvation by living the Christian life. It’s talking about the reaping and the loss of sowing and reaping. And if you plant good seed in your life, you’re going to have a good crop. But a lot of people plant samsper in their life and then they pray for a crop failure when it comes up. But if you plant good seed, you’re going to have great rewards in heaven and great blessings here on this earth.

But it’s talking about sowing and reaping which is works and has to do with the rewards that come about by living for Christ. So after we’re saved, very definitely the Bible says we have a living for Christ. This is what Paul is talking about here. That we are set free from the penalty of sin and death. Chapter 5 is one, stand fast and the liberty where with Christ has made us free and don’t become entangled again in works or in the bondage of the law.

And he talks about how that if we allow ourselves to live after the flesh, we’ll have the consequences of that and we’ll have the fruit of the flesh occurring in our life, which is of of course drunkenness and adultery and all kinds of things that will just absolutely destroy our life. But a believer, no matter what he does, will still go to heaven. But I’m in a hate to say, but I have buried a lot of people in their 20s, early 30s, that I believe God took home to heaven early because they would not live as a little beanie Christian and the effects of alcohol or drugs or other things took their life, their lifestyle, eight-year life up or their wildness got them killed and car accidents or other things and they died way too young.

But that’s I think because they were not living for the Lord and the Lord took them out. And he’ll do that. It says in many passages, in fact in 1 Corinthians 10, it talks about 23,000 Christians. God took them to have an early in one day. That’s a big one. So anyway, give us some more thought and read that passage in connection with 1 Corinthians 6 and I think you’ll see that Paul is not talking about getting saved or staying saved or losing your salvation.

He’s talking about the kind of life you’ll have here. Do you want to have love in your life? Joy in your life? Or do you want to have drunkenness and fightings and all kinds of things that are negative in your life? If you choose to live after the Spirit, you’re going to have the fruit of the Spirit in your life. If you don’t, you’re going to have a miserable life, and it might end early. And you’ll certainly be held accountable when you stand before the Lord as far as rewards in that chapter 6 part where he says, don’t be mocked.

You’re going to have that crop, whatever you planted come up. When you stand before the Lord, he’s going to show you the results of your life, and you may have no reward as you enter heaven. And that would be a tragedy. In 1 Corinthians 3.15 it says, if any man’s works is burned up, at that judgment seat of Christ where he evaluates our works, it says he’ll suffer loss, not his loss of reward, but he himself shall still be saved, it says, yet so has my fire.

1 Corinthians 3.15. So even if every work you did on this world was not worthy of any reward from God, and they were all burned up, it says you’d still be safe. Thank you, Lane. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Lane. Obviously, we’re not taught much of this in our churches and it becomes a hard conflict for some to think that we all think we have to do something. It seems like from birth because everything in this life you have to earn.

But salvation cannot be earned. You have to accept it as a free gift. And it really is a gift. There are no strings attached. strings attached. If you could lose it, then it makes you ultimately the Savior because it’s depending on what you’re going to do or not going to do. I hope that helps. We have Adam and Tampa, Florida and Adam will come to Bible and thanks for being patient. Yeah, in Daniel 7a, it talks about how there were 10 horns and I believe those are the nations of Europe that would come together here as they have in the European common market and then talks about a little horn, which is another horn.

And it says another there several times. I remember what first, second grade math, if you have 10 apples and you have another apple, how many apples will you have? Well, you’ll have 11. And I find most Bible scholars just miss over the basic math there. They have 10 nations and here’s another one that springs up. It’s younger then and more powerful than the other 10. And the only country in the world that has been spawned by the countries of Europe and is younger than and stronger than Europe is, guess what?

The United States of America. I believe we are the 11th nation. And I believe that according to that verse, we’re going to take over Europe. And you know, more and more we’re becoming merged with Europe. You can fly right out of the Tampa International Airport, which is just a block from where we We are broadcasting from right now and fly to many, many different countries in Europe and you can fly nonstop right from here to there. Isn’t that incredible?

Well, that’s the kind of where we’re living in. And Europe and America are becoming more and more connected and Europe will apparently come under the control of the Antichrist will come out of this country because the little horn is not only the 11th country which is, I believe, the United States but also the leader of this country which will be the Antichrist when it all happens. And as it says there he’ll pluck up three of the ten by the roots.

And I think you can see how easy that would be for an American president if he were the Antichrist when this happens. As Supreme Commander of our armed forces he could order our military to take over Europe and we are strong in three countries in Europe, and that’s England, France, and Germany. And I believe those are the three that will go down in a heartbeat as soon as the President says take them. And the rest of you will just say, hey, we’re yours.

And so all of you will fall under the control of the Antichrist, and he’ll control all of America and all of Europe, and then he’ll take over the Middle East, and he’ll be on his way to try to conquer the world. So yes, Adam, I hope that helps you with that question, but that’s what it’s all about. That’s another question? Okay, on the sermon in the Mount, Jesus says to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added on to you.

And earlier he says that unless your righteousness passes the Pharisees in the scribe, you won’t enter heaven. So this righteousness and this seeking after the kingdom of God, is that something that plays out? Is that an application that we can pull that plays out in our life where we live our life pleasing the God or is that the righteousness of Christ? Well, there’s fuck- Well, they’re talking about the Christian life, and obviously we ought to seek the things that are of God.

Seek His righteousness, and God will take care of our needs, whatever they might be. So we ought to be seeking to live for Christ and live lives that are in accordance with the Word of God, and God will bless us. But in verse 20 of that chapter 5 of Matthew when he talks about Solation, he says you would have to be to go to heaven more righteous than the people who worked at being righteous, the Pharisees and the Scribes.

And he says in verse 47 how righteous you’d have to be. How perfect he says as perfect as your Father is in heaven. So if you want to go to heaven, you have to be as righteous as God. That can only be received as a gift. We can never acquire that in our sinful body here. You could never be sinless or as righteous as God. God imputes or credits that righteousness to the believer. But the unbeliever, of course, will go to hell.

But as a believer, then we’re to seek after righteousness or seek to live the Lord. And that’s where blessings and rewards come in. So every believer ought to be a servant of the Lord. A disciple and earned the rewards that come as a result. Thank you so much for tuning in today. I want to thank all of you who listen. I hope everybody here has understood that to be saved.
