Coming to you from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida declaring God’s love through radio and television, providing real answers to an ever-searching world. Got a question? Dial toll free at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here’s the host of Bibleline, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Hank Lindstrom. Good morning and welcome to Bibleline. I’m great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We appreciate you and all of our listeners. I look forward to being with you each and every day Monday through Friday as we come to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios at the Calvary Community Church.

We’re on the pastor. Thanks for tuning in today. We are excited about this week. This is the Crucifixion Week and this Sunday is Resurrection Sunday. We believe that Christ was crucified on Wednesday of this week that we were in yesterday and that He would be in the grave now for 72 hours. Matthew 1240 says He would be in the grave three days and three nights at 72 hours and we believe that Christ rose then for it sundown on Saturday.

Actually sundown Saturday is when the Sabbath ends and the first day of the week begins as the Jews count their night period first. Guess what? We’re going to have a sundown service to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Again from the dead. If you’re in driving distance, you’re welcome to come and visit our sundown service 6 p.m. here at Calvary Community Church where Bibleline is headquartered. Then of course on Sunday we’ll be celebrating the discovery of the empty tomb and the fact that Christ has risen.

We invite you to come and bring your family, your guests, and join us for that wonderful celebration service. Sunday and by the way we call it Resurrection Sunday. We try not to use the E word because really the E word is really the name of the mother of Baal. So good to be with you. We just got back a week or so ago from two weeks of travel into Israel. We had a marvelous time. What a great trip and we invite you to go on the next one.

That was trip number 15 for me. We’re going to plan now for trip number 16 and if you’re interested at all Would you please call in and leave us your name so we can keep you informed as we move forward with our plans. Please let us know what time of year would be best for you to go. Let us know if there’s another country you’d like to visit and we’re thinking in terms of maybe Israel plus, maybe Egypt or Israel plus maybe southern Jordan and the Rock City of Petra where the Jews will flee from the Antichrist or Israel plus Greece and we certainly want your input.

So give us a call and get your name on the list and at this point you can certainly influence us as we make decisions concerning where we’re going to go and when we’re going to go and I’d love to have you on my next trip. We had a super time and of course we baptized people in the Jordan. We got to see the Hill of Calvary. That skull face is still there etched in that hill called the Hill of Golgotha, the hill where Jesus Christ was crucified.

What an experience to actually walk where Jesus walked and walk in the footsteps of the prophets and apostles there in Israel. Well, we’re excited about this week and we hope that you’ll join us again this Saturday at sundown. We’re going to have a sundown service at six o’clock. We’ll also on Sunday, Resurrection Sunday celebrate the Resurrection all day long in our Sunday school at 9.15 in our adult study at rather our worship service at 10.30 and of course the evening service at 6 as well.

By the way if you have internet you’ll be able to join that Sunday service by going to the website by the line ministries.org. Click on the camera, that’s right click on the camera on the home page you’ll be connected if you do that about 11 o’clock or a little after you’ll be connected to the worship service you’ll be able to watch it live this Sunday. But if you want to go into archive, you can watch the past years with the sermons.

They’re all sitting there waiting for you to watch. So take advantage. If you go to the website by the line ministries.org, click on the spinning globe, you’ll get the radio programs. If you click on the camera you’ll get the worship services, click on the TV set, you’ll get the worship services and we’re amazed. We have people all over the world that are tuning in to our website. Just got a letter this week from Central Africa, from a former French colony.

The pastor says he wants to use his translation team to translate Bibleline materials into French, to be used in that country and in other French-speaking countries. That’s exciting and we are getting correspondence really from all over the world. People watching by the line. We know that last month alone we had 14,500 people that watched just the seven minute video at the beginning of our website. We have about 50 people a day average that take that quiz we have at the beginning of our website.

Fail it, come back and take it again and pass it and maybe that’s an indication that we’re We’re getting 50 people that they saved just through the quiz at the very beginning of our website. We’re excited about what God is doing and I hope you’ll take a look at our website if you haven’t. That’s BibleLineMemistries.orgo.com. Today we are having a problem with translations. Every publisher wants to have their own translation, their own copyright. And as a result, the new Bibles have lots of changes that are really detrimental.

We have Bibles that are omitting up to 5,000 omissions. And we have a track here that we can send you that actually tells you which Bibles have the most omissions from the time that the King James came out till now. And it’s startling. We also have a wonderful book called New Age Bible Versions, and for a gift of $20, we can send that out to you plus your postage. But it is incredible. About 800 pages that goes over some of these different ones.

By the way, the New American Standard, if you read John 647, one of my favorite verses, It says that the King James, verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth on me, has everlasting life. Well, if you look that up in the New American Standard, it says, verily I say unto you, he that believes, has eternal life. It doesn’t say on whom you are to believe. It leaves that open. That phrase where Jesus says to Satan, get behind me Satan, totally gone.

numerous other changes that violate the plan of salvation and affect the deity of Christ. In the New American Standard it says in 1 Timothy 3 16, by our common confession, he was manifested in the flesh. That’s not what the King James says. It says, great is the mystery of godliness and that God was manifested in the flesh. To say in the New American Standard that he was manifested in the flesh is meaningless Because you’re manifest in the flesh. I’m manifest in the flesh.

What does that say to us? But when you read in the King James, God was manifest in the flesh. That is significant. Anyway, I just picked on one. The NIV is the worst. I think it drops 44 verses in their entirety. And we have a quiz. We’ll send you free of charge if you will ask for the NIV quiz. If you take that quiz using the NIV as your source, you will get a zero because the questions are on the forty four verses that are dropped or missing and therefore you can’t even look them up, you can’t even get the answer.

And so it’s a wake up call for people who have the NIV that you have a seriously defective Bible. Wow, we’re living in the last days and not only a Satan attacking the living word, the Lord Jesus Christ, but also the written word, the word of God. We need to be alert as to what’s going on. This book, New Age Bible Versions, about 800 pages, really covers about 20 of the most modern translations and will help you see what is going on.

And a lot of people have been awakened to say, whoa, I had no idea that this was taking place with my Bible. Well, we’re going to go to the Bible for a few minutes and then we’re going to be taking our callers and you’re welcome to call us at 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. God is doing great mighty things. We’re leading people to Christ through Bible and we’re meeting them. It’s exciting we’ve had people come by in the past few days from Indiana, from Michigan, from South Carolina, from South Florida, and they’re coming from all over that are listening to or are watching Bible and on our internet site.

Not exciting or listening on the air. We’re on the air in North Adams, Massachusetts. And we have talked to the radio manager yesterday. He is so excited. He says, we play your program twice a day here in North Adams, Massachusetts. Isn’t that great? We’re on in Utica and Albany, New York, the capital of the state of New York. And we’re reaching people there. We have a wonderful audience. And God bless all of you that are listening up there in New York, in Albany, in Utica, and all that area.

And bleeding over into several other states, we are excited about being the program. being the program to you. We have a great audience there in Michigan, in Lansing, in Flint, and Saigon. Thank you all for listening and for all those others in other places that are listening to Bible and if you want our crucifixion week sheet, a chart that I developed over years of time, I have everything outlined for each day of the week. What happened between Palm Sunday and Resurrection Sunday, you can get a copy of that sent to you free of charge.

You could also ask for a resource sheet to find out what’s in our resource center and you might want to do that. We also have something brand new. Not only do we have the strongest concordance available to you, but we have the new large print strongings concordance. If you’ve ever owned the strongest concordance, you know how small the print is. That can be discouraging as you get older. We have the large print strongest concordance for a gift of only $40.

Wow, the old strong as we still have, and it’s going for a gift of $30, but you could get that brand new large print strongest concordance for a gift of $40. You might want to get that in your library, and I’m excited that we are now having that available. We’ve got several other new books in our library, a number of books by Dwight Pentecost, a great author and we got his book on Hebrews on Philippians on Colossians and numerous other books of the Bible and different topics and you might want to call and get a resource sheet or talk to our operators about what is available.

We are going to talk about the Bible for a few minutes but you know Jesus Christ didn’t all of a sudden find himself confronted with the cross. He knew in advance that he was going to die. Jesus is either a liar or he is God and came in the person of Jesus Christ to die for your sins and mind. In John 14.6 Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, the life, and no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

Some reject the claims of Christ and at the same time they claim he is a great moral teacher. But if Jesus lied about who he is and how could he not have been the greatest, then he could not have been a great moral teacher. Instead he would have been one of the greatest deceivers of all time. If he mistakenly thought he was God, then he was a lunatic. Only one answer can be the correct one. The truth is that Jesus Christ is the eternal second member of the Godhead, the eternal Son of God, who came to pay for the sins of the human race, that whosoever would believe it in him would not perish but have everlasting life.

Jesus made it plain that he was going to die on the cross well before he ever went to the cross. Let me quote a couple of verses. Mark 831, and he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected of the elders and of the chief priests that have ascribed and be killed after three days rise again. Let me read Mark 912, and he answered and told them Elias, come at first and restore all things, and how it is written of the Son of Man that he must suffer many things and be said it not.

In Mark 931, he taught his disciples and said unto them, The Son of Man is delivered into the hens of men, and they shall kill him, and after that he is killed he shall rise the third day. Let me read another one from Mark’s Gospel, chapter 10. And they were in the way, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus went before them, and they were amazed, and they followed, and they were afraid. He took again the 12th, and began to tell them what things should happen to him, saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man shall be delivered unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles.

And they shall mock him, and they shall scourge him, and they shall spit upon him, and shall kill him, and the third day he shall rise again.” In other words, from Mark’s Gospel, chapter 10, verse 45, for even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but the minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Well, that’s just a sampling from March Gospel, but you can go to each of the gospels and Jesus Christ knew He was very plainly early on that he was going to die.

In fact, even when Christ was born, he was wrapped in swaddling clothes. Swaddling clothes are those little small, linen narrow strips that would be wrapped around a body after it had died. It was burial clothes. And Christ was wrapped. It was a sign. Obviously, other children were not wrapped in swaddling clothes. And so when the shepherds came, they found him wrapped in swaddling clothes. I knew this was the one that was in the house. that the angel had talked to them about.

But it was a picture of his death even in his birth that Christ had come to die to pay for the sins of the world. And by the way, it was his death at Calvary that purchased your salvation in mind. His death had shed blood, purchased for us eternal life. And when you trust Jesus Christ as the one who died for you and paid your sin debt in in full by his death at the cross God saves you. Today in the law of our modern preaching we bypass the cross altogether.

Boy, Satan is clever because you must believe the gospel and the gospel is the message of the death, the burial, the resurrection of Christ, and unless you believe that message you cannot be saved. Romans 1 16 Paul says, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it the gospel is the power of God and the salvation to everyone that believe it. Isn’t that incredible? Everyone who believes the gospel message, the message of the death, the burial, and the resurrection and trust in Christ as the Word who made the payment for their sin, God saves them.

Well, I’m Dr. Hank Vince from This Is Bind the Line. We’re going to go to the phone lines. We’re going to first go to Miami, Florida, and we have in Miami Ann, calling in, and welcome to the Bible and you are on the air. Let’s see here. And we’re going to go to Ann and this is my Amy Forta. Welcome to the Bible. Thank you. Good morning. I listen to you every morning and I wanted to ask you, would you please speak on Luke 23, verse 46, where he says, Father, in design hands, I command my spirit.

I’m going to hang up and listen while you ask me. Okay, this is while Jesus is on the cross. What a beautiful chapter Luke 23 is he just had told the dying thief in verse 23 Today thou shall be with me in paradise But we find that Jesus was fully in control even on the cross and we find in verse 47 He yields up his spirit and gives up his life and dies You know in chapter 10 of John John Schossel tells us a quote from Jesus where Jesus that he had the power to lay down his life and he had the power to take it up again So we find here he says Father into thy hands I come in my spirit and having said thus he gave up the spirit So you and I don’t have the power to lay our life down at will

Jesus, if he had not laid down his life, could have remained alive even though he was crucified. Jesus Christ laid down his life. He gave it up in order to pay for our sins. Thank you, Anna. I hope that helps answer your question. If not, give me a call back. That should be the answer you are looking for. We are now going to go to Inglooood, Florida. and welcome to Bibleline I think we have Betty on the line. Betty?

A resource on its insane. Well, wonderful. I have to turn you back over to my operators to get you that resource sheet, but hold on a second here. So we have an order on line two for a resource sheet. Yeah, if you want to get that sheet, we have those available. We’ll send it out free of charge. be one for the crucifixion week chart. We’ll send it out free. Now we have Betty, I think, over in Inglewood, Florida. Betty, welcome to Bible Inn.

Okay. Hi. I have a question for you. I’ve been reading a Job last night. Why has God given Satan access to him, especially when it comes to Job. I mean, Satan is despised. He was chucked out of heaven. Yet why does he have access to God? Well, you know, in this particular case, the scene is here on the earth. We find that Job’s sons came together to worship the Lord. And we find that Satan winds up coming over to observe what’s going on.

And God says from where have you come and He says from roaming up and down throughout the earth. So Satan’s all over the place looking and watching and observing and the Bible says it really. We’re being observed by angels, not only God’s angels but also Satan’s Angels. And here we find God brings up Job as being a very special believer. He brags on him and says there’s none like Job, one who hates evil and loves me and serves me.

And Job brings up, well that’s because you put a hedge of protection about him and you’ve blessed him. But if you just let me had him for a little bit and let me take away what he’s got, he’ll curse you. So God allowed Satan to do that. And obviously Job did not curse God. When he lost all of his possessions, he lost all of his children. Job said, naked came out of my mother’s womb and naked shall I return to there.

The Lord has given, the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. What a man this guy was. And you know, God allowed this, I think, for you and me, because the Bible talks about in the book of James, patience of Job. We learn patience. Endurance is a better word, perhaps, as a Christian to keep on going no matter how hard the adversities might be. We know that behind the scenes there is God on our side.

Job was a man who did that. No matter how tough it got, Job still did not curse the Lord, but he still praised and worshiped the Lord. He is a great example for all of us. So God allowed that for that purpose. You know, God even uses the devil for his purposes. And in this case, he obviously used him to allow us to see a man who stood tall in the midst of adversity. In the book of James, there’s a book about temptations, trials in our lives.

And it points to the book of Job and Job as a mentor in the area of enduring temptations and trials. Thank you and I hope that helps, Betty, and thank you for your call. We’re now gonna go to Yolanda down in Miami, Florida, and Yolanda, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Dr. Heng? Yeah. Yes, hello. I was calling Dr. Heng because I want to make sure, let me turn off my radio. I wanna make sure that you explain to me and to the listening audience.

Yesterday you mentioned that Jesus Christ had descended into paradise. Now, can you explain to me then why is it that when Jesus walked this earth, he spoke to the disciples or his followers saying there was one of a man named Lazarus and when he died as well as the rich man died, they were separated and there was a big head between He and the rich man. And also, he was in the bosom of Abraham. Now, where was Abraham and Lazarus, and where was this man that was begging for just a little drop of water from Lazarus’ hands?

Can you explain that to me? Well, sure do that. There are two. I’m going to hang up and I’m going to listen in. OK, Yolana. The place in the Old Testament is called Sheol, S-H-E-O-L, in the Greek and the New Testament is called Heines, same place. It’s a hollow place in the heart of the earth where there are two compartments. One is a place of torment where the rich man went and is still there. And the other part is paradise, a place of comfort where Lazarus the beggar went and also where the dying thief went and where Christ went for three days and three nights.

Now if you read Ephesians chapter 4 beginning in verse 8-10. It tells us that Christ, when he ascended up on high, he had captivity captive and gave gifts unto men. He had ascended what is it but also descended first into the lower parts of the earth. He had descended far above all heavens. We find that Christ went down to the heart of the earth announced victory and delivered all the people that were saved from paradise and took them up to heaven.

Paradise is now in heaven. By the way, I want to say goodbye to Miami. I know you’re signing off right now. God bless you all. Keep listening and Lord willing will be on there for a full hour one of these days shortly. We’re now back with our other stations and we’re going to continue to answer this for Yolanda, but you may not be able to hear it on the radio. But if you have internet, you can hear this entire program as many times as you like.

We might have to bring the topic up again for you, Landa, because Miami just went off the air. But basically in Ephesians 4, Christ went for those three days and three nights in the heart of the earth where the believers of the Old Testament were waiting for Sunday to be paid for. He announces that he had victory over sin and paid for those sins and now delivers those it were captive there waiting for that payment to be made up to heaven.

So the Old Testament saints all resided in paradise in the heart of the earth and then they were delivered from there and taken up to heaven by Christ at the end of the three days and now paradise is in heaven itself. According to 2 Corinthians 12133, this is Bibleline. We’re coming up on our break and it just happens so quickly. But we will do another half hour. So I hope you’ll stay tuned. If you can’t get it on your broadcast station, then go to the internet.

You’ll get the full program and you can listen to it anytime you want. Not even just now, but 24-7. Again, Bibleline is listed or supported. If you could help us, this is a critical time when we could use your help. in our economy is taking somewhat of a dip and we also have experienced the same thing here at Bible. Could you help us? You can send a gift by mail and or you can give a gift by credit card over the phone.

Just all that 1800 number, 1-800-576-3771 and you can do it right over the phone. God bless and thank you in advance for those of you that pray for and give the Bible and your gifts, make it possible for us to be on the air. And we Thank God for every one of you. You really are true partners with us here at Bible on because we have no other means of support than you are Lister. We’re gonna take a short break.

We’re gonna come back into a second half hour So keep your radio down to and right where it is and we’ll come and be right back with you in just a moment Don’t go away Bibleline. We’ll be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771 That’s 1-800-576-3771 Alright, I’m Dr. Engleman, we’ve had fun bringing this program to you all week long and here we are coming up on the weekend. This weekend is of course the highest holy day for the Christians in the world, the fact that we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus again from the dead.

You can watch our Sunday worship service by going to the internet and go to BibleLineMinistries.org. on the camera, if you do that about 11 o’clock or shortly thereafter, you’ll actually be connected to our Sunday morning worship service live. If you want, you can go there anytime you want during the week and click on the archive button and you’ll get all of the past servants, last Sunday, Palm Sunday, is sitting there waiting for you to watch. I think you’ll really get some understanding into the stage being set for Christ’s crucifixion happened all on Palm Sunday and the significance of the raising of Lazarus from the dead and how it played into that.

You’ll find it very interesting. I hope you’ll take a look at our website and click on the camera on the homepage. You’ll get our worship services and you can get the Sunday Resurrection service live by going there around 11 o’clock on Sunday morning, Eastern Standard Time. If you have any questions, please call us. try to answer those as we get to them. And also, don’t forget, we have some great books in our resource that we mentioned today, New Age Bible Versions, about 800 pages that really gives you some insight into what is happening in these modern translations.

And now our Bible today is becoming more flawed every time they come out with a new translation. So be careful When you get a new translation, make sure that you are a good student and pay attention to what you’re getting. And this book will really help you. It covers about 20 of the new translations. And for $20, you can get this 800-page book that will really help you in understanding that. We also have the NIV quiz. We’ll be glad to send you free of charge.

And also the Chris Fiction Week chart, free of charge, and a resource sheet if you want of our materials. You can call and get that free of charge. So check that all out. We pray that you have trusted Jesus as your Savior because there is only one way to heaven and it is Jesus. And you have to trust Him and His death and shed blood is the only means of your salvation. And when you do, God saves you and saves you eternally.

That is truly exciting. Well I am Dr. Englund Stroom and it is great to be with you and we are going to return There have been a break and do the second half hour of Bible and so keep your radio tuned right where it is and we’re about waiting to join the stations. So hold on to your radio. Here we go. The second half hour of Bible and right now. You like to call Bible and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question?

You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. It’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is my boy and I’m glad to be able to be with you. We’re coming to you from Tampa, Florida. From our studios here in Tampa at the Calvary Community Church where I pastor and you’re always welcome to drop by and say hello if you ever come into town or if you live in driving distance come see us.

We’re located right next to the Tampa International Airport on the West Side where one block west of the airport and we’re about midway between the north and south of a permit is of the airport. We border the perimeter fence here. We’re a block west of the road that borders the airport on the west side. So come see us. We’re easy to find. Take that experiment if you fly into town. And of course you can always go to the internet and catch our worship services live, our radio shows live.

And of course at Archive you can get them for a year or two back and watch them in Archive. We’re excited about bringing Bible and tea and I want to thank all those who make that possible. It’s our audience that does that because we really have a real partnership with our audience because we’re listeners supported. We don’t have any other means of support. It’s expensive. It’s hard to believe but it’s expensive to be on the radio. But it costs much more than most people would ever realize.

When I tell them how much we have to pay for the on the radio station sometimes I just about fall off their chair. But we’re on, thanks to God and thanks to you. We don’t pay any salaries, so we’re leaning mean here as far as our budget. But we take everything and throw it right back into getting out there with the gospel. We believe Christ is coming soon, that our opportunities are running out, and we look forward, of course, to being with you each and every day, and it’s because of our listeners that we’re able to do that.

If you want to give a gift, you can do it by credit card over the phone. If you would like to give a gift, you can also ask for an envelope to be mailed to you. to you and we’ll be glad to send you an envelope with our address on it. You can put your check in there and mail it into Bible and and of course you’d also give on our online bookstore if that is something you would like to do.

You’re welcome to to go ahead and do that. We’re excited about bringing the program to you but we really want to thank those who give and pray for Bible and who make that possible. I’m Dr. Enghoonszterman. God bless you. Thank you in advance for your gifts, your prayers, and your desire to help Bible and get this message out. We’re excited about what God is doing because it’s obviously something that is very powerful as we hear the stories of people getting saved and dedicating their lives and some going into ministry and in the missions and becoming pastors.

That truly is exciting. Well, if you like to call us, the number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. And God would love to, I mean, I would love to give you the answers you’ve pushed if you have it. If not, we’ll just have to say, I don’t know the answer, but we’ll try to look it up and see if we can find it for you. In any case, we’re going to go to the phone lines. Now we have Curtis in Jacksonville, Florida.

And Curtis, welcome to my line. You’re on the end. Good morning, Perafay. Good morning. I’m calling with the question I put to you yesterday. I want to know who was the father of Nathan the prophet. Well, offhand, I really don’t recall his father’s name, but I can look it up probably and get it for you. But I don’t recall. Maybe we’ll have that for you tomorrow. OK, I’ll have our staff here write that down. Alright, I’ll look it up and I’ll get back to you.

Alright. Thank you so much. Thank you. Nathan the Prophet will have to, maybe a Lister will look it up for us and call in with that answer for us. Sometimes our Listers are right there and have their finger on the button and can come up with an answer real quick for us. We have some off here questions and we’ll take a few of those and then we’ll take our live callers. You can call it 1-800-576-3771. 3-7-7-1. Tim in Luke’s Florida calls in and says, please explain the terms, types, shadows, picture and so on.

Well in the Bible there are many types or shadows or foreshadowings of future events given throughout Scripture. One of those of course Joseph in the Old Testament is a picture of Christ. Wow, what an outstanding man Joseph was. One of the twelve sons of Jacob Jacob’s soul and the slavery into Egypt. What happens, he becomes a savior to the world at that time and also to his brethren. And remember the dream about the seven lean years and the seven fat years and Pharaoh made him second only to himself.

He stockpiled food during the seven fat years and during the years of famine he became a savior. Food and Egypt. He was a result of his own family. His 11 brothers and his mother and his father came down to Egypt to get food. They bowed down before their younger brother Joseph. That was a picture of course of Christ is the one that we recognize as God. It took on human flesh. In many chapters there is a prophetic picture as well.

Chapter 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 of Genesis. Pastaining picture there, we have Jesus being crucified, pictured in Genesis 22, when Abraham offers a son Isaac on Mount Moriah, the very mountain upon which Jesus would be crucified. And it actually says there that it is a prophecy that what happened there with Abraham and his son Isaac would later be fulfilled by the Messiah when he He would come to this earth. Chapter 23, we have Abraham’s wife Sarah dies and she’s buried in the cave of McPila in what is modern day.

He brought in Israel. I’ve been to that cave. I’ve been to the burial place of Abraham and Sarah, both buried in that cave. You’ll find that that was a picture of Israel being put on the shelf for the past 2000 years. Chapter 24 of Genesis has the picture of the church age. We have there, Elie Azir, the elder servant of Abraham, going out, getting a bride for Isaac. That’s a picture of the Holy Spirit going into a far country, the planet earth here, and getting a bride, the church, the body of Christ, a bride for Christ.

And we find that they are united at the very end of that chapter, a picture at the end of this age, at the event of the rapture, The church will be caught up, we’ll meet the Lord in the air, and then we find the next chapter, the Geminis, is chapter 25. We have Abraham remarries a second wife named Katura, and it’s a picture of God picking up and then dealing with Israel again. We believe that right after the Rapture, God will prepare Israel for Her Messiah and set up the promise kingdom that He’s promised.

And so you have those pictures, those types throughout the Bible, and really, really, the Bible is rich with these things. Even the Sabbath was a picture of the thousand year day that is coming up called the day of the Lord when the whole earth will be at rest for a thousand years when Jesus himself will be ruling over the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We have Ellen in Tampa, Florida, she calls in and says, since I became a Christian, My husband says, I’m no fun as I no longer drink alcohol.

If he divorces me because of this, can I marry again someday or would this be adultery? I believe if he leaves you that you would be free to remarried because he is totally and completely abandoning the marriage. I believe in 1st Corinthians 7 it talks about if a person is left completely abandoned by the partner that there is no reconciliation that you are free. Sometimes that happens and I know that it’s certainly sometimes no fault of that innocent party and there’s not a whole lot you can do about it.

So I believe and let me recommend a book that we have at our Resource Center. You’ve got one called Striking the Original Match by Chuck Swindall. It’s the best I’ve ever seen on divorce and remarriage. The book is really talking about kindling the marriage you have. But should divorce happen, he has a chapter in there that is the best treatment about divorce and remarriage that I’ve ever seen. And he covers situations just like you have mentioned. be encouraging to call in and order that book and we can ship it out to you.

We have Ricky in Utica, New York. He says, our salvation is secure. But what is the point of works? You have mentioned rewards in heaven, but isn’t heaven the reward itself? I’ll be a street sweeper as long as I’m in the door into heaven. God bless you, Ricky, but the rewards are here and in eternity. Obviously, the Lord wants to reward us for our faithful service. Let me give you an interesting verse that might give a little perspective. It’s in first Timothy, and it’s a promise that if we live for the Lord and we live God lives that God will reward us not only in heaven but also here as well.

1 Timothy 4 8 is the verse I’m thinking about and it says, bodily exercise, profit little. But then it says, God likes this. That is living for God and serving Him. Godliness is profitable under all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. So we know that believers will one day have their works examined and it will determine the degree of reward that you’ll have in heaven. But also it has promise for even now.

You’re going to find yourself fulfilled as you find God’s will for your life and you’re serving Him doing what he tells you to do within his word. And God wants to bless you with rewards, and he wants you to be a faithful servant. And if you are, you’ll be rewarded not only in heaven but also here. Ricky, thank you for that call in New York. Joe from Timbrought, Pine, South Florida calls in and he says Romans 2, 7 through 13, what What does this mean since we are saved by grace?

Well there’s talking about people and the key word to look for there is the word seek. If you are seeking and talks here about doing the best you know with the knowledge you have and you’re working at finding the true living God, you are going to find that you will discover him and you’ll find out salvation is by grace. Let me just read one of those verses to you while I’m at it because it says here in verse Let’s see is verse 7 to them who by patient Continuance in well-doing the keyword.

I believe here is seek seek For glory and honor in mortality in eternal life. Well, it says here that they’re gonna find God But if you’re not seeking, you’ll not find him. So if you’re seeking for the Lord and maybe you’re just doing the best you can with the knowledge you have, I believe Acts chapter 10 is an illustration of this. In Acts chapter 10 we have a Roman soldier doing duty in Israel and he’s a devout man. He’s religious.

He’s giving help to people that are poor and doing the best he knows. He prays and so on and finally God says your prayer has been answered and God leads him to find Peter and Peter comes over and leads him to Christ and he discovers salvation It’s just simply by trusting Christ and not by works So I certainly hope that helps you Joe and let’s Joe down in Pimbroke pines. We’re not going to get a rocky and Tampa, Florida and rocky welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Yes, how are you doing, Dr.?

If my wife ends the marriage and forces me to file for divorce, am I wrong in God’s eyes? Well, I don’t know that you should be the one that initiates the divorce, but basically I think the end of the story is not the end of the story. the innocent party sometimes there’s nothing you can do. You’ve done everything you can do. I hope to keep the marriage together, but if they leave an abandoned marriage, then I think you are free to remarried.

And that book I referenced a minute ago, I think does a good job of presenting the case for that from 1 Corinthians chapter 7. I think that’s what I think it’s verse 16 or so that says that a person is not in bondage who has found themselves abandoned. I know one young lady that got married just before her husband went off to war. I think that was in the Vietnam War and when he came back he relocated to another part of the country.

Never even came back to say hi or bye or anything else and it was a marriage She wanted to make sure she got her man and she married him as he went off to the war and and he told me abandoned her and I believe that she was free to go ahead and remarry. That was a total abandonment. There was no hope for that marriage at all and so she did remarry. He went some other place on the other side of the country and got out of the forest and then remarried and so she was left abandoned and I think she had a perfect right to remarry.

I disagree but I believe that Chuck Zendall has a great presentation that seems to be very fair and very difficult I think would perhaps be what you might want to look at. Thank you, Dr. Alright, that was Rocky in Tampa, Florida. We now have Jen in St. Petersburg. Jen, welcome to my mind. You’re on the other. Oh, how you doing? This marriage thing seems to keep bouncing off the wall. Oh, he does. I was going to bring up a point that lady spoke with you a minute ago about the horse On the other end of it, maybe you can go out there when it says the word of win, that spouse.

He was a young husband, went in our chase spirit into the Lord, or our actions an unruly husband. And might be in those days. You might get your head taken off compared to where we’re at in America. But I think it would swing both ways, not to be the guilty party. As you said, the other gentlemen a second ago. If there are attitudes is to win the person and not push them, but to win them that they can see the Lord in them.

change or if they choose to walk, let the unbeliever walk, you know, and you wipe the hands of it. But maybe go off on, speak on the other end of it about winning that person. You know it. Very good point that I had gone right after that, assuming that that had taken place. But in first green in the seven it says, if the other person is pleased to dwell with you, that you ought to stay in the marriage because you don’t know whether or not you might be able to lead them to Christ, and especially if you have children involved, that you might be able to lead those children to Christ.

It says, for example, here in verse 15, if the unbelieving depart, let him depart, a brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace. For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband, or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? So if you stay in the marriage as a possibility of winning that part of the Christ, but if you’ve gone beyond that and there is an abandonment of the marriage by one of the partners leaving and totally abandoning the marriage, then you’re not in bondage to that marriage relationship.

I believe it’s what it’s saying and that you are free to remarried. So thank you for that and sharing that thought because definitely that should be first and you ought to try to win that partner to Christ, but sometimes in spite of that, they’ll leave you in abandon you and if you’re abandoned and there’s no hope for that marriage, then obviously you can remarry. Also, if a marriage has dissolved and one of the partners remarries, then it is according to Deuteronomy and abomination if that marriage fails for them to come back and remarry you.

So once somebody has divorced and the partner remarries, they really can’t become unmarried to go back to that first partner again due to Ron and I think it’s chapter 24 says that’s an abomination and it should not happen. We’re now going to go to Chris in Lakeland, Florida and Chris, welcome to Bibleline You’re on there. Hey, how you doing? I got two questions. The first one I wanted to ask you was about Trinity because I was trying to witness to a Jehovah Witness.

I was wondering what scriptures I could use to show them the Trinity, what we believe. Well, obviously there are many verses. If you go to John’s Gospel, there are many verses where all three members of the Godhead are in one verse. Let me share with you for example, I think it’s in John 14. Christ says in verse 16 of John 14, and I will pray to Father, there’s the eternal Father, and he says I will pray to the Father, there’s Christ the second member of the Godhead, and he shall give you another comforter, and that is in verse 17, even the Spirit of Truth.

That’s the third member of the Godhead. So here you have all three in one verse, and you find down in verse 26 of John 14, the comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, and you have the third member of the Godhead whom the Father will send. There’s the second member of the Godhead. In my name, that’s Christ, and so So again you have all three and it goes on to say here, the Holy Spirit will teach you all things and bring all things to remembrance whatsoever I’ve said unto you.

And so we find here that if you read John’s Gospel, there’s lots of verses you’ll be able to find them easily where all three members are mentioned on verse. In Matthew 28 verse 20 it says, baptized them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. all three members are mentioned in that verse, but it mentions the name singular. They all have the same name, all three are Yahweh or Jehovah, and that is God the Father is Yahweh or Jehovah, and Jesus is Yahweh or Jehovah, and the Holy Spirit is Yahweh or Jehovah, all All three are members of Godhead.

Then you have in 2 Corinthians 13. This wonderful beniction verse where it says in verse 14 of 2nd Corinthians 13 the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all, Amen. There you have the Lord Jesus Christ and second member of the Godhead. There you have the love of God the Father the first member of the Godhead and the communion of the Holy Spirit the third member of the Godhead all mentioned in one verse.

Hopefully that helps. Okay, so in Matthew 28 I’m saying it doesn’t say names of the father son of Holy Spirit But it says in the name singular so they they all are the same person. They all have the same name Okay, so it’s a great verse to use to prove the Deity of all three members of the Godhead and that there are three and one the witnesses Our practicing edition one plus one plus one is equal to three gods We obviously are practicing multiplication.

One times one times one is equal to one. Yes, same. There you go. Is there anything in the old testament that would point that he was not from the beginning The Bible is called Holy Scripts. Instead of saying in the beginning, was God, it says in the beginning was A God. The word was A God. They changed everything. I know. They changed that, but there’s no warning that from the Greek at all. In fact, I have on my shelf here a few feet away here a copy of the Joe’s Witness Bible, diabetic diagon translation from 1942 copyright and they hadn’t added the article A at that point.

So somewhere there’s this deception going on here because while all of a sudden later they put the article A in there. But guess what? Let them do that. I get them to admit that they believe that Jesus Christ is a God. Then I go back and you might want to look this one up. Isaiah 4310, the verse that the Jehovah’s Witnesses get their name from, where it says you are my witnesses, sayeth Jehovah. Of course, it’s talking to Israel, not to Jehovah’s Witnesses.

But look at what it says. In Isaiah 4310, you are my witnesses, sayeth, the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen to admit that you may know and believe me and understand that I am. Then it says here, if you’re going to be a witness for Jehovah, he says, before me there There was no God formed, neither shall there be one after me. So obviously if Jesus is a God they are a false witness because Jehovah said in the Old Testament there would not be a God formed after him.

So there’s no other God besides him. That’s right. So obviously they are false witnesses. So I say, you know, I can prove that you’re a false witness because you are not true to the verse where you get your name. If you are a true Joe’s witness, you will not claim that there is another God formed after Jehovah. You are saying that Jesus is a God formed after Jehovah. You are in fact a guy who is supposedly endorsed with that and says that Jesus is a God, not the God, and therefore you are just false from the get-go.

but that’s a good scripture that could be a good idea that i would like to witness and that i mean that is an issue but the other there you go well they just in a work but i would recommend also first john two twenty to excuse me first on two twenty three it says his whoever denied the sun the same as not the father if they do not have a son then they don’t have the father so i tell them you know you are johovulus your job with us with it without the whole of it because if you deny the sun and you don’t have the father so you’re doing a little less jobs with us i think this play a goal of the question that i have a question was where can i look up remember i think i think that you’re going to go back now go to first that

name he had a little bit of rabbit and eggs and all that stuff and i’d like to just have that information is there any like site or some market or go to my website and go under the bottom right hand corner doctor linson’s articles and look up the word Easter and I’ve got a website BibleLineMinistries.org Okay, got a lot of calls still sitting out there.
