Coming to you from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida declaring God’s love through radio and television, providing real answers to an ever-searching world. Got a question? Dial toll free at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here’s the host of Bibleline, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Oh, good morning and welcome to the Bibleline. the Bible. And great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning in to the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day. Monday through Friday. And thank you for tuning in today.

We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church. We’re on the pastor and wow, here we are Crucifixion Week. This is when we celebrate the fact that Christ died, was buried and rose again from the dead. Actually the most holy week of Christianity. And it’s this week that we’re doing that celebration. Obviously, Jesus rose from the dead and we believe that sundown, and so we’re going to have a sundown service tomorrow night exactly when we believe Christ rose again from the dead.

You’re welcome to come. That’s at six o’clock and that’ll be a sundown service. We believe Christ was placed in the grave at sundown, and therefore because he said he would be three days and three nights in the grave that he came out of the grave at sundown. That was really the end of the Sabbath, in the beginning of the first day of the week, as the Jewish people count their night first. They count their day from sundown to sundown.

Tomorrow at sundown begins Sunday night. Then Sunday morning follows in the morning, and that’s when we’ll celebrate the discovery of the empty tomb. You’re welcome to come to a sundown service here at Calvary Community Church, if you’re in driving distance. Of course, Sunday morning you can come and worship with us and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ again from the dead. The discovery of the empty tomb. If you want a copy of my crucifixion week chart, I outline with scripture what happened every day from Palm Sunday to resurrection Sunday.

I think you’ll find it a very interesting piece to have to kind of review what happened during the crucifixion week, the most important week in all history because that’s when mankind was redeemed by God through offering his son Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary to pay for our sins. I hope you’re saved. I hope you’re going to heaven. And a lot of people say that they’re saved for whatever reason, but yet at the same time, if you ask them if they’re going to heaven, they say, I hope so, or I think so, or I would like to or I’m working at it.

And obviously you haven’t understood the definition of saved. It means you’ve been delivered and we’ve been delivered from the penalty of sin and the penalty which is hell forever and actually been delivered to go to heaven to live with the Lord forever. Once a person is saved, you’re saved forever. You cannot be lost. Christ promises he’ll never cast you out. He’ll never lose you. That’s John 637, John 639. This is a wonderful weekend. By the way, let’s use the R word, not the E word, that’s resurrection.

It’s so powerful and I hope that you’ll be using that R word as you talk to people this weekend. Again, this is Bibleline and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. You can catch our worship service Sunday no matter where you are on the planet. If you go to our internet site, BibleLineMinistries.org, BibleLineMinistries.org and click on the camera and you’ll be able to get our Sunday morning service live. If you want to go there during the week you can get our services 24-7 for the past year.

We have a year’s worth of service waiting there for you and you’re welcome to go take a look. You can click on the spinning globe and get our radio programs. You can click on the TV set and get our television programs and we’ve got two years of radio programs, one year of television programs and one year of sermons sitting there for you to enjoy on the Internet. So I hope you’ll take a look by the line ministries.org and also our online bookstores there.

So if you can’t get over here to Tampa to visit our resource center you can do it online. I hope you will. Well, it’s great to be with you, we sure enjoy being with you every day. We get lots of notes from different people and we appreciate all of those from people all over who watch our services or listen to our radio programs from all over the country.

If you have a Bible question, you’re welcome to call in and ask and we’ll try to answer that during the show, and I hope you will. And that would be great. So you’re welcome to give us a call at 1-800-576-3771 and we hope that you’ll ask your question today. Jesus, of course, knew before he would ever die, did he just go to die, he came into the world for that reason. He’s God who took on human flesh and we find that Jesus, when he was taken in the garden to be crucified, was actually in total control of the whole situation.

When the soldiers came with their swords and their spears and their lanterns and their torches to take Christ, it was Jesus who approaches them and is not hiding back in the garden someplace and you know just a couple weeks ago I was in that garden. Some of those trees, those olive trees in the garden of Gethsemane are over 2,000 years old. One in particular they believe it’s 2500 years old. These trees may have been witnesses to that very night and what happened there with Jesus.

We may have been standing so very close to where Jesus stood and where Jesus was when they came to take him. Jesus was in the garden and says here that Judas came bringing these men of soldiers, officers, and they came with liners and torches and weapons. Verse 4, it says, Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, he knew in advance. He’s got to took on flesh. He’s on mission. It says here, he went forth. And he said to them, whom seek ye?

So notice, who’s the aggressor here? Christ walks right out and says, who are you looking for? He knew, it says here, all things that should come upon him, so he knew what was going to happen. It wasn’t a surprise. This was not something that just crept up on Christ and surprised him. He knew what was going to happen. And he was there ready to be taken. And they answered him, verse 5 of John 18. He said, we’re looking for Jesus of Nazareth.

And Jesus saved unto them, I am. This is such a remarkable passage. I love reading it. Jesus is using the name here that God used when he appeared to Moses at the burning bush. He’s claiming here to be the very same God that appeared to Moses, the God that created the universe, the God that created the planet earth, the God that created you and me. And we find here that he claims that he is that one. I am. And interestingly, look at what happens as a result.

As soon as he said unto them, I am. They went backward and fell to the ground. He blew them right off their feet. I’m sure these fighting men were embarrassed. Here they are. Strong men, trained soldiers with weapons and torches and lanterns. And here they come and thinking that they were in charge here. But notice just at the name of Jesus, the name of God, as Jesus is the God-Man, he blows them right off their feet. They land right on their back sides and they’re, I’m sure embarrassed.

Then you’ll notice a second time Jesus said to them again, verse 7, whom seek ye. And they said it this way, I think, this time a little bit differently. They probably said, Jesus, of the mess of earth. I’m sure they were not the same group that had originally come. And Jesus said, look, I have told you that I am. If therefore you seek me, let these go their way. This is incredible. Here is Jesus, the one that’s being apprehended by a band of soldiers, and he lays down the terms of surrender.

He tells them, you can take me but you have to let my disciples go. What other criminal would ever be able to do that? Jesus obviously was in full charge all the way through and they could not have taken him if he had not wanted to go. He could have destroyed the world. He could have destroyed that band of soldiers with just one breath, but obviously he had come to die for you and for me. Jesus here, the sinless Lamb of God, submits himself and is willing to go with him and they took him away bound.

That whole night Jesus was kept awake. He was interviewed by Kiafis, by Anas, by Kiafis, by Herahirad. Finally, in the morning at 6am, he’s before pilot. And pilot is the last Inquisitor. We read in the next chapter, Pilots, his statement, he says, Behold the man. He says, I find no fault in him. So Jesus Christ was the faultless sinless lamb of God that would die to pay for the sins of the world. You know, this is quite a remarkable story and it doesn’t end with his death because he was quickly buried, placed in the tomb and he rose again from the dead.

That sends him apart from Buddha, from Mohammed, from Confucius, from all the founders of all the world religions. They’re all dead men. None of them can help you. None of them can hear your prayers. None of them can answer your prayers. Only Jesus can do that because he’s alive. You know, if you wanted to learn how to live forever, what is the secret? I think you’d want to appeal to somebody who died and came back from the dead. And Jesus is the only one we can appeal to.

And obviously he says he was the way, the truth in the life, and no one can come to the Father about him. And when you trust him, God is the one that gives you the gift of eternal life, and Jesus lives to make good on that promise so that you can be absolutely assured of going to heaven whenever you die. I know right now that I’m going to heaven when I die, not because of anything I have done or will do, but because of what Jesus Christ did for me.

You know the false plan of salvation is easy to detect. It always points you to your future as to what you will do or not do as the determining factor as to whether you go to heaven or not. Stop with you and take this test. Close your eyes. Just reflect for a minute and ask yourself are you counting on how you live your life or what you’re going to do in the future, or what you’re not going to do in the future.

Would that in any ways or any wise affect your salvation? If you’re saying yes to that, then my friend, you’re not saved. The true plan of salvation always takes you and points you back to the cross where Jesus says it is finished. And there you just rest with what Christ did for you. He purchased your salvation in full. He paid it all. I love that hymn. Jesus paid it all all to him. I hope sin has left a crimson stain, but he watched it as white as no There’s nothing you or I could ever do and if you are trusting in what you’re gonna do in your future Then that’s works and my friend.

You’re not saved at all and the Bible says it will be many one day It will stand before the Lord no brag about what they’ve done Lord we preached in your name Lord. We healed in your name Lord We did many wonderful works in your name and Christ will save Matthew 7 23 I never knew you. Not I once knew you and I lost you. I never knew you. Depart from me ye that work iniquity. Obviously, the greatest sin is the rejection of Christ.

And if you are attempting to do something of self to save yourself, you’re really rejecting Christ. And Jesus calls that iniquity. He says, Depart from me ye that work iniquity. What did they do that was called iniquity. Why? They said we preached in your name. We healed in your name. We did wonderful works in your name. Is that sin? Yes. If you substitute that for the shed blood and death of Christ at Calvary as the only means of your salvation, it is the greatest sin.

It is the unpardonable sin. It is the sin that will cause you to spend an eternity in hell. My friend, think about it. It sometimes fools people because you You can preach in the name of Christ, heal in the name of Christ, do wonderful works in the name of Christ and go to hell because that will not save you. You must recognize it was the work that Christ did at the cross that saves. This week we’re celebrating that crucifixion, that payment that Christ made for us at the cross and the fact that he came back from the dead and makes it assured that we have the right Savior and that he can make good on the promises that he’s made.

I’m Dr. Englund, from Mrs. Bybalite, and we’re going to go to our lines and take our call. The phone number is if you want to call in 1-800-576-3771. Give us a call 1-800-576-3771. So I hope you’ll give us a call. We have quite a number of offer questions. We might take some of those today and try to answer them. Call us at 1-800-576. We have Jason in Ruskin, Florida, says, off here, at what point after an unsaved person dies, do they learn why they’re not going to heaven but are going to hell?

It’s instant, Jason, at the moment of death. You know when a believer dies, they’re absent from the body present with the Lord. But when an unbeliever dies, they are absent from the body and present in Hades and after the thousand year reign of Christ, they will be cast into hell the eternal lake of fire. Wow. So obviously, Jason, it happens instantly. When a person dies, it’s then too late. If you die as an unbeliever, you will go to hell.

There is no second chance. There is no other opportunity, you will go to hell. But if you are a believer, you are absent from the body, present with the Lord, that is 2 Corinthians 5 verse 8. Write it down. Write it down. Okay, we find here Richard and Indiana calls in with this altar of questions. He says in Galatians 4-6, it says, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts. Matthew 22, 37 says, heart, soul, and mind.

How does this fit in your teaching? I think that you’re probably referring to the heart. The word heart doesn’t mean heart. It really is the center of your thought processes in 1611. Obviously, science had not advanced, and they thought that you did your thinking with your heart. And so it means really the very center of your being doesn’t mean your heart. So Christ comes and the Bible says it this way too, but your body is God’s temple and God comes and involves in your body.

So yes, He dwells within our bodies and He doesn’t dwell in the pumping organ. So if that’s what you’re trying to imply here, Richard is not the pumping organ is there, the center of your being the center of your thought processes. We have Mary in St. Petersburg and Mary, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, first of all I want to thank you for your work that I love listening to you and it’s very helpful to me. My question is, some other is Catholic and I was raised Catholic until I was saved and years ago.

But my question is I’m worried about her life, her eternal life, and she is a prime example of what you just spoke of with the good works getting you to heaven. She’s a devout Catholic, and I don’t know how to show her that if her good works and her good heart heart and her good nature is not going to get her to heaven. I’m very worried about her. Well, I certainly understand and I know that there are so many that are in that category and they sincerely believe that those good works are going to get them to heaven.

I think you need to point out a couple of scriptures like Romans 4, 5 that says to the one who does not work at all but would believe on Christ, his faith is counted for righteousness Ephesians 2, 8, and 9, and so on and so on. Those are some of the really good ones. But the Roman Catholic is taught that Jesus opened the door to heaven by his death. He paid for original sin or Adam’s sin, but you and I are on our own and we have to work our way to heaven.

And basically that it can be accomplished only through the Catholic Church, which they, as the Pope just reaffirmed of a few months ago now, the Church of Primacy, the only true Church and it’s the only through that Church can you, through the sacraments, earn your way to heaven. But it’s a contradiction, you know, because it, salvation is by grace and grace can’t be earned and yet the Catholic Church says that you earn grace and deserve based upon your observing the sacrament.

So it’s a crazy mixed up thing but it’s truly not the message of the Bible. When you trust Christ you become saved and you become saved eternally. I think that is exactly why. I think it’s just difficult for people that have been in the Catholic faith all their life and have been taught that good works are so important. I think it’s just hard for them to to understand because I was raised Catholic also. And if you have to be a good person, it’s important to be a good person.

I think she’s getting that mixed up with, you know, she thinks that Christians can go out and be bad, and if they are saved, then they’re still going to get the heavy. She’s confused that people, if you accept cries, I guess, that then that’s giving you an open gate to do whatever you want. And it’s just hard to show where that’s not how it works, really. I don’t know. I guess I’m just having a hard time reaching her. It is hard sometimes, but it just is a slow thing.

I think just a verse or two at a time, don’t overwhelm them. And I think some of the good verses that point out that works are Isaiah 64, 6, are best righteous deeds, are filthy rags in God’s sight. So there’s obviously nothing that we could all forgot if you were to pile up everything she did. And or I have done it would be a pile of five filthy rags. It would not be Able to earn my salvation. That’s why Christ died if we could have earned our way to heaven Jesus could have stayed in heaven Why in the world did he come and die if we could earn our have earned our salvation?

He came as a savior the same as because we couldn’t so you just have to kind of go slow and and But there is a I love that with you just that makes a lot of sense. I think she’ll understand that is, you know, why did you just stay in heaven? So, you know, that’s good point. And I thank you very much. You’re very welcome. And the Bible certainly teaches that. Thank you so much, Mary. It says in Galatians that to, he says, I do not make void the grace of God of righteousness came by works, then Christ died in vain, Galatians 2 21.

And that’s certainly true. We now have Pete in Lansing, Michigan. Pete, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hi, Dr. Hank. Hank, this is Pete there and I just wanted her and not too sure about this. And there’s questions still have victims these days. Do they still have what now? Have visions? I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Oh, vision. I’m sorry. Well, not biblical visions. They’re not promised for right now. No. But I think in a sense, you know, people, we call some people visionary.

I was thinking they see but not enough terms of biblical visions. Visions in the Bible were not the same as a dream. It was when your eyes were wide open and God gave a particular revelation and I don’t think that’s happening today. You have Peter for example, three o’clock in the afternoon on a rooftop there in Japa just south of Tel Aviv and there with his eyes wide open he sees this vision of a sheet coming down from heaven and it was full of unclean animals and Peter was told to eat and God was obviously giving him a special message there about how that Gentiles were now not unclean and he could go and talk to them and as a result it happened three times there were three men that appeared in his door a few minutes later and he realized that God wanted him to go with these

Gentiles that he would have considered unclean and he went up to Caesarea with them and led Cornelius and all the family and household of Christ. And the gospel really went from that point out to the Gentile world, beginning their next chapter 10. Hope that helps and thank you very much for that call. All right. Now we lost Pete there somehow, but Pete, if you need to, you can call back, but we now have Robert in Miami. Robert, welcome to Bibleline.

Yes, sir. How are you doing, sir? I’m going back to him from FU. There is a, I don’t know what religion it is. They said that there was one other woman created before Eve and that she was I guess distorted something because… Well that is Tony Boney, that’s not true. There was only one Eve and there was not another woman created before Eve. created at all. Okay, and I have a, when we go to heaven, when I’m going to be given a marriage.

Why people nowadays or just looking at marriage with like, you know, it’s not, it’s not all that, not going to be married in heaven. No, I don’t think so. I mean, most people don’t even know that. But in heaven, we’ll all be brothers and sisters and one being happy family. We’ll remember relationships we had before, but we’ll not marry, normally be given in marriage and we’ll certainly not have children, we’ll not procreate ones in our glorified bodies. Thank you, Dr.

Smith. Thank you. Robert Down in Miami, Florida and we’re so glad to be able to talk to all of you. You know, we’re just back from a trip to Israel that was marvelous. And we’re going to plan another one and we’d like to have you go with us. And if you’d like to go to Israel with us, please give us a call as we make our plans. We’d like to include you in our thoughts. And if you have a particular time that would be best for you to go, let us know.

But we want to get your input. We’ll be making our decisions and whatever you say will probably influence us. So give us a call, get your name on that list of those interested. Also, by my list, there’s a report. If you want to help us, this will be a very good time to help us.

We could use your help right now. We’ve slipped a little bit behind here and your help would be greatly appreciated. Would you call us and give a gift by credit card over the phone or call it, ask for an upload to be sent and you could mail your gift in. We’re going to take a break, come back and do a second half hour Bible lines that keep you ready to tune right where it is and we’ll come right back and do Bible lines in the second half hour.

I never thought that would ever happen. And what a wonderful treat that is for the old one was so small print I didn’t really enjoy going there unless I really had to look up something. And I usually went to a computer program that gave it to me where I could see it larger print. But you know it’s now in a book form and it’s just a little bit more. We have the old Strongness Incordance for a gift of 30.

It retails for much more than that. And then we have now the large print, strongest in accordance for a gift of $40, just $10 more. So stay tuned, here we go, Bible on in the second half hour.

Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break. This is Bibleline. I am excited. I hope you are. You know, this is a special time of year. We get a chance to celebrate the Crucifixion Week to… to really relive that we can recognize that God came to the earth and took on human flesh and went to the cross of Calvary and knew that this was going to take place.

He came into the world for this very purpose. It says that he was slain before the foundations of the earth. And so God in his wonderful wisdom and in his love planned that he would give his life in the person of Christ to die for you and me. And you know, this is the week that it happened. And we believe Christ rose Saturday tomorrow at Sundown. We’re having a Sundown service. We invite you to come. As tomorrow night, it’ll be a wonderful time of singing and fellowship.

Children will perform. We’ll have a message. It’ll be great to bring unsaved people to. Hopefully, they will come and trust the Lord Jesus as their Savior. And of course, we’ll celebrate the resurrection at Sundown Saturday. Sunday Celebrate the Discovery of the Empty Tomb and it’s going to be an exciting weekend. We hope that you’ll come. There will be Resurrection Candy for the children and there will be a wonderful time of just rejoicing over what Jesus Christ has done for you and me.

Please plan to come. That’s Saturday, tomorrow at sundown here at Calvary Community Church and we’re located at 48-11-George Road. If you’re looking on how to find us, if you get our website, if you click on the part that says how to contact us, we have the map quest already plugged in with our address just type in years and hit go and you’ll get a blow-by-blow description on how to find us and I hope you’ll take advantage of that. Or it’s also a map there you can print out and we can be of any assistance, give us a call.

Here’s we’ll guide you in. If you live in another city, don’t forget you can join our Sunday morning resurrection service and if you’ll go to our website at 11 o’clock, click on that camera, you’ll be able to get the live worship service from Calvary Community Church here in Tampa. You’ll get to hear the message that I will bring on Resurrection Sunday morning. So join us in the excitement and of course hopefully wherever you are, you’re excited about it and using the R word instead of the E word telling people about it’s the resurrection that we’re celebrating and we try to get rid of that E word which is really the name of the mother of bail if you haven’t heard that yet.

Bibleline is obviously experiencing what our whole country is experiencing and that is a shortage as everything is in our economy is slowing down. So Bible I need your help and if you can help us it would be great and thank you for those it do pray and do give and those that are stepping up to the plate to help us. We really could use your help right now to get current and your gift would be greatly appreciated. You could call and give a gift by credit card over the phone that would be so appreciated and you would really help us out of a tight spot right now and we hope that you will respond to that.

You could also call and ask for an envelope to be sent and we can send an envelope about You can mail your gift to Bible and but we are totally list or support it. We don’t have any other means. And so we want to continue these programs in your area and we want to be able to see Bible and grow and go further. So if you want to help us keep going and growing, your gift will really be appreciated.

Thank you in advance. God bless you. And we look forward to hearing from you. Give us a call. Our prisoners are standing by. You can give a gift to Bible and we have lots of callers. They’re all sitting there waiting and we’re going to go first to Charles in Tampa, Florida. Charles, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.

You’re absolutely right. I mean Jesus rose we believe Saturday Sunday which is the beginning of Sunday night. Then during the day of the daylight that followed the resurrection of Christ, he did appear to those men along the road to Emmaus. I’ve been to Emmaus. I’ve been to the place for all the sick place. But you know that was all on the first day every bit of it. But it was a Christ. When they discovered that the the empty tomb in the morning Christ had already been risen by at least 12 hours at that point.

It was later that afternoon that he appeared to the middle of the road to a man. Well, it is the thing that you see the Jews come up today from sundown to sundown. And so you’re still thinking I think the way we count our day. Saturday for us ends at midnight, but for the Jew it ends at sundown Saturday and that begin Sunday. So Sunday night happens first and then Sunday follows. So Saturday as Sunday night began at Saturday 6 p.m., Jesus rose from the dead.

The next morning they discovered empty tomb. Later that afternoon, which is still Sunday, the same day, we find Christ appeared to the disciples on the way to Emmaus. Thank you for that call and I hope that helps explain it for you. We have John in Eustis, Florida. John, welcome to Bibleline. It’s great to have you on the program with us. John? Yes. Good morning, Pastor Hank. Good morning. May God bless you and may He always provide a way for you to stay on the air because let Let me tell you, we need to hear the gospel of truth.

I have a comment concerning people who like to put Reverend in front of their name. And Psalms 29, 2, and Psalms 111 verse 9, and Luke 149 all speak of his holy name. And I think it’s wrong for anyone to play Reverend in front of their name. And let’s look at some of the people who do that, such as some young moon, Jesse Jackson, Al Sopman, and Squas of Others. And I just think it’s wrong. Well, I totally agree with you.

I never have liked that phrase. And I know I tolerate it when some people will introduce me in another place as Reverend. I kind of cringe inside because I know only God is to be reverence. And so therefore I really enjoy being called pastor or doctor Lynch or something else, but I don’t like that term. But it’s been used now by quite a few for a long time and it really is wrong, I believe, to use that particular term.

we shouldn’t use terms that really belong to God and steal for ourselves. Yes. And you know in the Phoen’s 4-11, the Lord of God said that He will give us pastors, teachers, and evangelists. So you know, I mean that God is it right there. Absolutely. Well John, God bless you and thank you for that nice call. And may God bless you and keep you on the air. All right, God. Thank you. We now have David in Planet City. David, welcome to the Bible and you’re on the earth.

Good morning, Dr. Hank, how are you today? Good. I want to thank you for your ministry and I wish everybody out there would just really I just really pay attention and listen to you because I think you rightly divide the word and speak the truth better than anybody that I hear. And I just won’t pass that on. I’ve got a couple questions today. Two of my favorite newer songs. I know you don’t. you don’t care much.

The Savior’s waiting. The Savior’s waiting the first one in obey. It’s saying you have to trust and obey from the way I gather it. That seems like Christ corrected my thinking. Well you’re on the right track. But you know that trust and obey, if you hear what it says, it says there’s no other way to be happy. So to be happy you do have to trust and obey you. Trust Christ to be saved but then you trust and obey Him to be happy.

and that has to do with the Christian life. So it’s a Christian life song. It’s not telling you how to be saved and trusted obey, but you need to be careful because some hymns are going to be off track because they’re not inspired of God. But I actually change the words in hymns when I feel like they are incorrect. And if they’ve got a pretty much good message, I’ll rewrite them and we’ll sing them the way they ought to be.

In fact, we actually paste the new words right in our hymnal to get it right. That’s great. My other question is about what I just mentioned, rightly dividing the word of truth. You’ve told it to me before when I’ve asked the question about some other preacher I’ve listened to or whatever and you’ve told me that he’s probably not right to dividing the truth and then if you talk to somebody else they would would say the same thing about you.

If they don’t think you can do it, just dig for yourself when you get confused and go with the guy you think the best from how you interpret it or what’s your advice there? Well, it’s the word of God that’s great. It’s not a contest between individuals. It’s not whether this preacher has it right or that preacher has it right, the Bible has it right. And all those preachers that preach what the Bible is teaching are right and all those preachers that teach different than what the Bible teaches are wrong.

So it’s really an easy answer. Go to the Bible and see what it says. And if somebody says something contrary to the Bible, it’s wrong. I love Isaiah 8-20. It says if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. So if they don’t agree with the Bible, if they’re not in line with the Scriptures, then they are capital W-R-O-N-G wrong. Thank you, David. Have a good day. Thank you. You too. All right.

We’re now going to go to Mary Ann and Mary Ann is in Orange City and Mary Ann, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Hello. I’m trying to help or encourage a young man. He’s new in the Lord. He did a set of two sets of blood in the flight about a year ago. He’s going through a real traumatic experience right now. He was really hurt by somebody, a woman and her three children. The woman, not your children.

We loved very much so that they were in a relationship. Anyway, she took them for $1,000 and a whole lot of stuff and just got out of the flight. He killed… He told me, and I prayed for the children every day. But he said, I can’t get myself to pranamies and do good to those. I know there’s some words in the Bible. I couldn’t come up with anything good to say to this question. I told him I was going to try to call you and find out if you had an answer.

Owning up. OK, but obviously you are even the love your enemy is in. And to pray for those that despitefully use you and all of that, you’ll find a lot of that good advice is in the beatitudes. If you just read Matthew chapter 5, it says, happy is the person. And it tells you different things that if we do those things, we’ll be happy. It’s not the remedy for how to be saved or the formula for salvation. It’s talking to saved people about what brings happiness in your life.

David just brought up that hymn, Trust and Obey, for there’s no other way to be happy. To be happy, you must be an obedient Christian. If you’re a disobedient Christian, you’ll be unhappy. God will discipline you. You’re just going to be miserable. But if you want to be a happy Christian, you need to be an obedient Christian and live from the Lord. So he needs to, whether he thinks it’s right or not, or whether he would agree with or not, he needs to agree with God and practice what the Bible teaches.

And that is practice forgiveness and love those that have hurt him and despitefully used him and he’ll be a happy person. Hope that helps a little bit, Maryam, but I recommend Matthew chapter 5. We’re going to go to Leslie in Jacksonville, Florida. And Leslie, welcome to Bibleline your own Maryam. I just wanted to compliment you. We do a couple of us in our office every day. Listen to you. We get that privilege from Tenderloan, which I know a lot of companies don’t have, but we do.

But my question I have, you always talk about that we don’t go to Heaven. Well, I know a lot about my work on works, you know, that we do get saved, and I completely agree with that. But I also think that it’s a natural thing to do things for the Lord, you know, in that sense that we’re doing missions, we’re doing jobs at church, but we’re helping people, you know, with prayer and stuff. And then I was just wondering what your, kind of like what your insight was, it’s not really works to get to heaven.

But we become service of the Lord. with our ministries that we do and I wanted to just know you’re a pain in about that. Okay, absolutely. I agree with you 100%. We’re not saved by serving, but we are saved to serve. So when you trust the Lord, you’re saved by simply His grace, His mercy, His unmerited favor without works and apart from anything that we have or will do in the future, anything we have done or will do. But once we get saved, then as we serve Him, God is going to reward and bless that service and he tells us that we are saved to serve.

If he’s too sensitive to 10 says that we are his workmanship seeking about the new birth and says we’re created in Christ Jesus, unto good works which got it before a day that we should walk in the nut we must but we should and it’s a choice we ought to make and I believe every Christian ought to be living for Christ and working not to be saved because those works are going to bring about blessing here and rewards So a person that knows they are going to heaven, they know they’ve received the salvation and they’ve asked Jesus into their heart if something happens where they’re bedridden because of a physical situation that happens to them.

They shouldn’t feel guilty or feel like they’re not going to be able to go to heaven just because something’s happened to them that they’re not feasible to do functions in the church or in that manner. Correct? because the works have nothing to do with their salvation. If a person got saved and never did any works, they would still be saved, but they would suffer loss of reward. I love 1 Corinthians 3.15 where it says that if any man’s works will be burned, when God judges works one day at the judgment seat of Christ he’ll be tested by fire.

And it says, if any man’s works shall be burned, he shall suffer loss, that’s loss of reward. But he himself shall be saved, yet so has by fire. So even if he did no works, he’d still be saved because of what Christ did for you if you trust him. Okay. So you can actually do things for the love of the Lord and it just be a service but it’s not actually works getting to have it because you know where your heart is.

Right. Okay. Thank you so much. Well, you’re very welcome and keep listening. Absolutely. All right. But works our after salvation and if you’re trusting in your works to save you, then you’re mixed up because our works can’t save us. Only Christ could. And now because we’re grateful, we’re thankful. We appreciate what He’s done. Our works are a way of displaying that. We have Lisa in St. Petersburg. Lisa, welcome to Bibleline your Honor. Thank you. Good morning. I am so confused.

Help me out. Okay. I understand you said you know immediately after you die if you go to heaven or hell. And that’s the way I was raised. But now I also read in the Bible it says that that no nothing. Well that’s how it plays the Aztees and it’s talking about as far as the things that are on the earth. They don’t get to watch the evening news. They don’t get a newspaper that tells them what’s happening down here on the planet.

nothing about what’s taking place down here and that’s really because i feel bad and with like a solid was in the horror so god spares us all that so that’s what it’s saying they don’t know anything they know nothing about what’s taking it on place down here they don’t know what baseball teams are playing or what football teams are playing or or what crimes have been committed in the cities and and all the other horrible things that are having down here they don’t know anything about it at all they’re kept from that Thank you very much.

God bless you. Okay, Lisa, I hope we unconfused you. Well it’s great to be able to be with you and this is a special week and a special day and we’re going to be celebrating the resurrection tomorrow at Saturday at sundown. Probably the only church in America that does it but I believe Christ was placing the grave at sundown and said he’d be in the grave 72 hours. He comes back from the grave at sundown Saturday. And that is the end of the Sabbath and the beginning of the first day of the week because the Jewish people count their night first and so tomorrow it’s sundown begins Sunday night.

If you go by a synagogue tonight, Friday night, you’ll find that people are worshiping. Why the Sabbath begins tonight is sundown and Friday night is when the Jews go to the synagogue. That’s right. They’ll be full. Every synagogue will have people night at the synagogue because Saturday night… Dr. Hank Lindstrom is tonight as far as the Jewish count. So tomorrow night will be Sunday night. Sounds confusing. Sit back and God on paper if you have to, but it was Saturday at Sundown.

So we’re going to have a Sundown service. Then Sunday morning in our morning worship, we’re going to have a celebration of the discovery of the empty tomb. We invite you to come by if you’re in driving distance. Also, if you live in the Tampa Bay area, you can hear Bibleline over the weekend as well. We’re on 10 o’clock, seven days a week. the best of on the weekend. And of course, if you live other places, you can go to the internet to our website, BibleLineMinistries.org, and you can catch our radio programs 24-7, any time of day.

And that means that you don’t have to listen at 10 o’clock in the morning. You can listen at 10 o’clock at night, or 1 a.m. in the morning, or 4 a.m. in the morning, or whenever you just can’t sleep, go turn on the internet and you can listen to Bible and you can hear today’s program as often as you like. We have Debbie in Chesterville, Virginia, and Debbie, welcome to Bibleline You’re On the Air. Good morning. I had a comment to that lady who called from her office a couple of calls ago.

OK. One to comment to those who may be homebound or the elderly. And am I correct in saying that they could have a great service in prayer, that if they even they cannot leave their home, that they could earn tremendous reward with a great prom ministry. Absolutely, and there are creative ways to do things, especially today with the internet, and they can email, they can chat with people. I know a number of people that get on chat rooms and leave people to Christ.

And so they have a witnessing ministry that way. Others use their phone, and we had one fellow in our church that took the white pages, and just we’d call 10 names a day and said, excuse me, do you have a minute to spare that I could talk to you? And he said not everybody would say yes, but a few would, and he would just share his testimony, and he led people to cry stuff at the phone. So we don’t have to really go anywhere.

Today we have the access to the phone and the internet and everything else. We could be talking to people all over the world. But again, your prayer ministry is also very important. They can have a great ministry that way. There’s lots of different things that they can do even if they’re bedridden. Okay, thank you so much. Thank you for your ministry. And thank you, W. You’re absolutely right. And we certainly want to encourage people that are limited in what they can do to know that they can still do great things for God.

We now have Vincent in Tampa, Florida, and Vincent. Welcome to Bibleline Your Own Ear. Yes, Dr. Lindstrom. Jesus Christ went through a horrible crucifixion and punishment. And with that in mind, what do you think about the world has associated Easter at content? And basically making it a pagan house. to pagan holiday as the same thing as we Christmas know it. What do you think of churches that have Easter accounts during that same day? Well some of them I just don’t think have a clue as to why they do that or where it comes from but actually it has to do with the celebration of Easter which is really astral of the mother of bail.

She was a sex goddess and the eggs and the buddy we have it’s all have to do with sex and rapid reproduction and so on and that’s where it came from but has nothing to do Christianity but I don’t have a problem. I think as long as you do that and give a meaning that’s Christian. Christ of course is life. He is the resurrection and the life and the egg of course can represent the new life and the fact that when you trust Christ you are born again, you become a child of God and whenever you die you’ll be given a brand new resurrection body and Christ obviously is the one who brings that all about.

But I think a lot of the pagan stuff is still with us and we’re never going to get completely rid of it but I think as best we can we need to use the R word and talk about the resurrection and try to make Christ the center of the celebration even as we do at Christmas and it’s not about Santa Claus, it’s about Jesus. If my convictions were not the way… I don’t have them at my church at all.

We have abandoned all that. But we do give the children what we call Resurrection Candy and make it a wonderful day as we talk about Jesus coming back from the dead. I have an 8-year-old and we’ve taught our children what Rick Easter is really about. She will tell you as she shared with her classmate, one of her classmates after. Basically my daughter gave that other student the planet’s elevation. Her teacher was the child after the teacher and the teacher asked her to go to the hospital.

teacher as my daughter to explain to this little girl, the teacher wisely did it. And my little daughter shared the planet’s salvation and asked the questions and she said, this is what Easter is about and what they did to Jesus. And Jesus died and rose again so we can have some sleep. Praise the Lord and thank you so much Vincent. I have to go because time has run out. We have other callers that we’re not going to get to, but again have a wonderful weekend.

Happy resurrection to all of you. Please feel free to call our 800 number all day long. If you want to help Bibleline, you can really come through for us at an important time now if you want to give a gift by credit card or call in and ask out to mail a gift in.
