We have the podcasting where you can have it come free right down to your computer and you can download it into your iPod. We’ve got lots of things there that are available for you.
I hope you’ll take a look at it. That’s at our website BibleLineMinistries.org, BibleLineMinistries.org. Click on the spinning globe and you’ll get our radio show. Click on the TV set and you’ll get our television programs. on the camera and you’ll get our worship services. Guess what? Last night we began that class on 2nd Peter. We had a great beginning. We had a wonderful group of students and we are underway and we did class 1 and 2, class 3 and 4 will be next Tuesday and if you’re living in the area you’re certainly welcome to come and sign up and become a student as we study 10 hours worth of 2nd Peter a A wonderful, wonderful book, ideal for this time in which we live because Peter is talking about what would happen in the last phase and full of information and liberal scholarship hates Second Peter because it exposes them.
You’ll want to be in this class. It’s great. You can get the CDs or the DVDs when we finish and we hope that you will take advantage of that teaching. By the way, we’ve got some wonderful sets in our resource center. You might want to get the Jay Verde McGee 5-volume commentary. What a wonderful set that is. And it’s everything that McGee did all in one 5-volume set. It retails for 200. We have it for a special gift of $100 to Bibleline.
We also have the Jamison Foset Brown commentary, the one that I recommend above all the others that covers something on every verse of the Bible that retails for about 150 and we have it for a gift of 100. We have also the Lewis-Barry Shafer Systematic Theology and that retails for about 180 and that’s a four-volume set. Actually, the eight original volumes are now condensed into four volumes but it’s for a gift of $100 also. Any of those sets are wonderful to have in your library.
We also have now the large print, strongs, concordance. That’s right. It’s beautiful and it’s just a little bit more than the other one in expense. But while the print size is so nice, the other one was so small. But we have that now available in our resource center. Plus the Scofield Bibles, which is what I recommend above all the other reference bibles you can get. And we have it in paperback or soft cover, hardback, leather, and large print in leather and hardback as well.
So lots of good things there for you. Hey, we just got back from Israel a couple of weeks ago. We had a wonderful time and we’re talking about going again. We’re still trying to get your input, but we look. It looks like we’re leaning toward a 10-day trip in Israel with an option of five days prior to where we would fly to Cairo. Visit the pyramids, visit the Sphinx, take a dinner cruise on the Nile River, stay on the island right there in the heart of the Nile River in downtown Cairo in a five-star deluxe hotel.
Visit the Cairo Museum where you have a hundred thousand artifacts. You’ll see the mummies that have come out of the pyramid. you will see the treasures of King Tut and so much more. A hundred thousand things to look at. You’ll never see it one day, that’s for sure. But we’ll have a wonderful time there and we’ll also then drive. The channel that goes underneath the Suez Canal and over to a lot on the Red Sea. What a beautiful vacation spot that is.
The Red Sea is clear. People come there to scuba dive. They come there to jet ski and to water ski and to enjoy the wonderful warm waters. And also we’ll see the incredible aquarium they have there. The Israelis are so clever. They have you walk out of pier. On a period a half a mile. out into the Red Sea and there they have a round aquarium type thing where it goes down its glass enclosed, goes down three-fourths to the bottom of the Red Sea and there the people are enclosed and the fish are free.
You can look out and see the fishes of the Red Sea. What a beautiful sight. There are three different levels, three different floors and I have found when I’ve been there that you see different kinds of fishes at each level. Kind of interesting. But what a clever idea. The fish are not enclosed, but the people aren’t enclosed, and the fish come up to the window and peer at us and say, what are these strange creatures? Anyway, we’ll drive from there over to Jordan and visit the Rock City of Petra, where the Jews will flee from the Antichrist during the tribulation.
And what an exciting place that is, 40 square miles of houses, homes, and buildings carved right out of the rock. What a beautiful place too with the rose red colors of the rock there. And it’s accessible only by a narrow canyon. This is the place which we believe the Bible describes, where the Jewish people will flee and the head or kept safe from the Antichrist during the tribulation. We’ll then come back to a lot, spend the night in a hotel and then go to Israel.
By then the people that are going to go Israel only will be arriving from the states. Will rendezvous and the rest of the time will be together. Those that didn’t want to go on the extension and those that did. And that ought to be a fun trip. I would love to have you go. It’ll be trip number 16 for me. And we’ll have a wonderful time and I’d love to have you on board. Well, in any case, this is Wednesday and of course you’re welcome always to come by and visit our Resource Center during the week.
We’re over to about 4.30. Also, we have our worship services tonight and on Sunday. You’re always welcome to come by and visit us and I hope you will. We have people coming in from all of the states that are listening to us and when they come into Florida, they come by and see us and we hope that you’ll not miss us as well. We were talking yesterday in Revelation chapter 12 about Petra. The The Bible talks here about Israel described as the woman in chapter 12 of Revelation, how that she will flee into the wilderness where she has a place prepared of God that they should feed her there for three and a half years.
That’s the last half of the tribulation period and the Jews will flee into this place prepared of God. This city has been waiting, all prepared, waiting there for two thousand years down. It was really vacant and undiscovered to the world until in the 1800s, about 1850 something, British archeologists named Burkhardt rediscovered it to the world. This is the place, I believe the Bible is describing. Let me read that wonderful verse in verse 6 where it says, and the woman which is Israel fled into the wilderness where she has a place prepared of God that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and three score days.
Then it says here in verse 14, and the woman or Israel was given two wings of a great eagle that she might fly into the wilderness into her place, into her place, a special place prepared where she is nourished for a time and times and a half a time from the face of the serpent. You know, it’s interesting here that here’s a phrase that is from the book of Daniel that talks about the very same time period we’re talking about here and nobody ever knew what that phrase meant, time times and half of time, but here if you have your Bible open you’ll notice verse 6 and verse 14 are equivalent and so we learn from the very first time from the book of Revelation that time times and half the time is equal to twelve hundred sixty days or three and a half years
and so now we know the meaning in that amazing so therefore time means one year Plus times that’s two years, one plus two is three plus a half a time. It’s three and a half years. So the Jewish people will flee from the Antichrist midway through the seven years of tribulation and they’ll flee into this place in the wilderness, which is in southern Jordan, to this city that is prepared of God for her to flee to and near God will miraculously feed Israel with manna again and also water right now.
also water right out of the rock. As you come to the entrance of Petra, I’ve been there numerous times, you’ll find that there is a rock there they call the rock of Moses, which there are several so I can’t say that this is the one, but definitely a place where water comes forth right out of the rock and will be probably the source of water during the tribulation period. It’s interesting anyway, if not the rock A rock where water will come right out of the ground to take care of the Jewish people who will flee there.
We find this is because Satan will turn against the Jewish people during the tribulation period and you can already see this coming. Jesus said in Matthew 24 about the Jewish people and the Jewish people will be hated about all nations for my name’s sake. You know, today we see that anti-Semitism rising around the world. Nations are actually coming out like Iran where Abinajab says that Israel needs to be destroyed. He wants to nuke them and absolutely wipe out the whole country.
It’s not the first time that the Jews have come under that kind of attack, but we find more and more nations are openly saying that they would love to see Israel be totally destroyed. Well, the Bible predicts that that would happen. And when we know that the Antichrist turns against them, the Jewish people will flee toward the mountains. In fact, in Matthew 24, there’s special instruction for the Jews that are living in Israel at the time that the Antichrist takes over Israel midway through.
And he will desecrate the temple that will have been rebuilt and he’ll place his image in that temple and when that happens those that are believers reading the Bible will find the following instructions. It says in verse 15 of Matthew 24, when you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet. Daniel spoke about this. Jesus is quoting Daniel here. When you see that abomination of desolation, which we believe is the image of the Antichrist, Christ it will be lifelike and be placed in the temple in Jerusalem.
When you see it stand in the holy place there is the holy place right now. The temple that Christ entered into 2000 years ago is destroyed in AD 70 by the Romans and there is no temple. But the holy place will be reconstructed. There will be a third temple built right after the rapture and when the anacrist places his image there. Can you imagine how close we must be? The stones are already cut. And you know, there’s been a lot of florifuror here just in the last couple of days about finding the arc of the covenant.
It’s amazing how the world is becoming more aware of this arc of the covenant, as even the moving raiders of the lost arc was about this arc, and about how, of course, the Germans wanted to get it because of the power that they perceive that they would have if they had that arc in their control. Well, it’s very fascinating that there are different speculations as to where that arc is, but that will be part of the furniture in that third temple.
And it’s interesting that we have lots of people talking about, and possibly they believe it is actually there underneath the temple. Now, Gershan Solomon, who we’ve had here several times and probably we’ll have back again, was on an interview yesterday on National Television where he was talking about, he believes that it was a hidden underneath the temple mount. And well, we just have to wait and see, but a lot of things are happening and developing now that we believe are in time signs and signs of the return of Christ.
Well, here it says, who so readeth to let him understand, Matthew 24, 15, those Jewish people who are saved in the tribulation period, living in Israel, when they see this antichrist places image into the temple, whose lover is reading, let him understand, here’s the answer what they’re to do. Then let them which be a duty of flee into the mountains. Let him it’s on the housetop, not come down to pack his suitcase. You don’t have time. The Antichrist is going to turn against the Jewish people and slaughter as men as he can.
It says in verse 21, for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no nor shall ever be. The worst time in all of history is ahead of us, my friend. And it’s the tribulation period that will follow the Rapture and the Jewish people are told to run. Fleet of the mountains now. In Jerusalem, if you flee to the West, you’ll head right to the Mediterranean Sea. But if you flee to the mountains, you’re headed toward Jordan.
And what is interesting is if you draw a line between Jerusalem and the city of Petra in southern Jordan, it cuts diagonally right across the Dead Sea. guess what this is such an amazing thing the Dead Sea has been the water level has been going down because they’re not allowing water from the Jordan to flow into the Dead Sea anymore because they’re using it for agriculture and water in the whole country but therefore a sandbar has been revealed that cuts diagonally across the Dead Sea straight toward Petra in other words God has created a shortcut for those that are running from the Antichrist and it’s so fascinating to see I was standing there on the top of Masada which is a mesa that rises up 1200 feet from the floor of the Dead Sea and you can oversee the Dead Sea quite well from that perspective and you can see this diagonal
sandbar that is a shortcut that the Jewish people fleeing won’t have to go all the way around the Dead Sea they can shoot right across to the mountains of Gordon in there be quickly in Petra and be hidden from the Antichrist. Well obviously we’re living in exciting times and God has prepared this place and He’s prepared the shortcut route right across the Dead Sea and the Jews people will flee and apparently a third of the people in Israel will be saved and will flee and will be spared from the Antichrist as they hide in the rock city of Petra and God will feed her there and give her water and protect her from the end of Christ.
Interesting stuff. We’re now going to go to the phone lines. I’m Dr. Englunds from This Is My Line. We invite you to call us at 1-800-576-3771. We have Stephen right now in Tampa, Florida on the line and Stephen, welcome to My Line. You’re on the air. Hey, good morning, Dr. Hank. I’ve got a question concerning eternal life. The first time I’ve been doing a lot of praying and seeking in the scriptures to sort of get to the heart of it.
If you do a search on eternal life I think the most hits you’ll get is pretty much in John. I know John was written from some number. There’s maybe 20, 30 more years after the other gospel. So attempt that. They have a much more evangelical perspective We’re trying to really communicate I’m going to take a look at the details of the video of Christ rather than as opposed to the other Gospels. If you get to a scripture like John 3 16 of course I mean that says it all right there for God so loved the world that he gave his only son and when you believe in him you inherit that eternal life.
From modern day Christian perspective if there’s anyone’s scripture that’s out there that’s proclaimed that’s repeated that’s memorized that’s fine in a football stadium in front of thousands of people it’s gotta be John 3 16 right. But other but Jesus never stood in a crowd of the people and made that He’s a great message known like we do today. So on one hand that’s troubling to me why didn’t he express that idea of eternal life more clearly and so precise as it is in John 3 16.
And I kind of answer that myself by saying, well, you know what, Nicodemus was the one that he shared that with and Nicodemus came to Christ one on one away from the crowds. He sought him out and he found him in private and he said, Lord, I don’t understand these things. Would you tell me? Would you would you help me? And that’s when Christ revealed to him. that wonderful message. And it speaks to me what it says to me is it says, look, when you come to Christ personally, when you come before Jesus, one-on-one, and you ask Him these questions.
questions for you at that time. Here we are, just you and me God. Tell me what it is you And He’s an emotionalrunner to this, rather than just loading it up to the crowd or people may or may not here, it encourages that one on one relationship by establishing that, hey come to me and I’m saving the best time.
I’m still a little bit burdened, but the fact that he doesn’t say it very much is when the rich man comes up where you got to get rid of everything. You got to get rid of everything he had. You got to be poor. You got to be after God. And that’s the message that a Christian’s art done John. Things that were written earlier in the Elder Gospels. Well, yeah, first of all, let me just say a word Stephen that in time 647 he says it to the large crowd there.
He had said the five thousand which probably did not include the count of women and children, which means that the crowd might have been around. on 15,000. And of course in that context over there he says, barely, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me has everlasting life. Now the passage you’re quoting now from Matthew 19, there are two things going on in that passage and we can’t mix them up. To be saved he says you simply come to him and then to have treasure in Heaven or rewards separate from being saved and having eternal life You follow me now if you look at Matthew 19 21 Which is the passage where he talks to the Young rich ruler it says here in verse 21 come and follow me two things are going on here If you come to Christ You’ll be saved and that’s a free gift if you follow me that means you’ll have treasure in heaven and of course
Peter later in the passage here talks about What will we have because we for a second all followed the and the answer is that they would be given 100 fold of what they had given up and whatever you invest in eternity, you’ll be rewarded a hundred times over Whatever you invested that’s a 10,000 percent return But those who simply come to Christ will follow Christ in the regeneration or the new birth And that’s how you become saved so we can’t mix up and say the rich man didn’t have to give a dime to be saved But if he came to Christ and was saved, then he had to give up things in order to gain rewards in heaven.
I love the statement of Jim Elliott, one of the martyred missionaries down in Ecuador many years ago. He said, he is no fool who gives up not what you cannot keep, the gain that which you cannot lose. Oh, what a great statement and that’s impacted my life greatly because here he laid down his life to win these Indians from this tribe in the Ecuadorian jungle to Christ. He was slaughtered by them along with four other men on that little island in the middle of the river where they landed their little plane.
He said if he is no fool who gives up them, but you cannot keep the game at which you cannot lose. So as we give up things and as we serve and as we live for Christ, whatever we give up forgive whatever we do, we’ll bring about an eternity of reward. And so those are two separate doctrines. But clearly the gospel John recites many places where he talks to larger groups. But basically God’s plan is for the gospel to be spread through individuals.
And if you do that, if I were to lead one person to Christ in a year and the two of us the next year would lead one person to Christ. There would be four and if the next year the four of us led one person to Christ there would be eight and you know the thirty second time you do that you’ve reached over four billion people. If everybody in the chain did that leading one person to Christ in a year’s time we would win the role in less in 33 years.
Incredible. It makes a quick thing on the Greek interpretation. When we read Moth Day, it’s the meaning of that. Does it print? The word save means to be delivered. And we’re being delivered from the penalty of sandwiches death and given the gift of eternal life. Let me just say goodbye to Miami. They’re signing off for four other stations. But Miami, we’re so glad to have you on the air with us. And thank you for tuning in again today. And of course, join us again tomorrow.
And on the internet, you can catch the full program and also hear it as often as you like. God bless you in Miami, keep praying for us and I hope you’ll help keep us on the air down or by yourArgsGifs. Alright, Stephen, it means simply to be delivered. It’s used physical deliverance as well as deliverance from hell. For example, Paul, when he was on the ship that was about to be shipwrecked, when we’re told him that. He said to the whole crowd as he stood, I think there were about 270 people on the ship.
He said, except you abide in the ship, you cannot be saved. Some are physical deliverance there. So they all stayed on board and they all survived and landed on the island there as the ship broke apart as it crashed into the rocks. But they all survived. And some are physical deliverance. But the salvation you and I are talking about here is that from hell to go to heaven. And that’s a great thing. to go to heaven. And that’s a gift.
Right. We saved it the moment you believe. Perfect. Thanks, Dr. Hank. Thank you, Stephen. And that was Stephen. And we have a ton of colors waiting, but we are going to have to go to break here. So let me just hold all of you off air for a few minutes, and we’ll try to get to these colors as quickly as we can. I hope that you’re a believer. I hope you’ve trusted Christ and receive that wonderful gift of eternal life that we’ve been talking about here.
There are two decisions that the Christian has to make. One to be saved by trusting Christ as Savior, receiving the free gift, and then the second to follow Christ which brings about rewards and whatever we give up or whatever we sacrifice or whatever we invest will come back to us a hundred times over. That’s the greatest investment you’ll ever be able to make. I can’t think of any place. The bank will only give you a couple of percent back on your money.
That’s less than even giving you back one fold. The Bible says 100 fold. Anyway, we’re going to go to break. Don’t go away. Keep your radio tuned right where it is. We’ll come back into a second half hour and we want you to be with us. So don’t touch that now. Stay right here and I’ll be right back. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Alright, I’m Dr. Englund, and this is Bible.
I’m just excited to be able to be with you again today. It’s Wednesday, and we’re having a great time, and I hope you’re enjoying as well. Last night we began the class on 2nd Peter. Everybody just walked out saying, wow, we had a great time. And we have been recording these on CD and DVD. You’ll be able to order the entire set of 10 hours of teaching as soon as we complete it. you’ll be able to have possession of it, we’ll send it to you.
So you can order in advance if you want and pay for it, and get that CD Series or that DVD Series, and the CD Series will be $50 plus shipping, and you can have all 10 hours of teaching. It’s a great series. We already have 1st Peter done. Maybe if you haven’t gotten that yet, you’d want to get 1st Peter, and then that gives you another month to wait until the end of April, and you’ll be able to get second Peter and have that on your library shelf.
These are great teachings, verse by verse, some of the great books of the Bible, and these are two powerful ones by Peter the Apostle. And I think it’s important to know what Peter has to say, and especially in this book he’s warning us about what to watch for in the last days and how to identify false teachers. And this book is extremely important for this particular time in history, more than other times in history past. In any case, we hope that you’ll take advantage of our Resource Center.
We’ve got lots of things. You can visit it online. If you get a BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the online bookstore. You’ll be connected. If you’re interested in going to Israel, give us your name and we’ll keep you abreast. People every day are telling us that they want to go. They’re interested. And it looks like we are probably going to do Egypt and Jordan and Israel. It will be a 15 day trip total. It will be wonderful. If you only want to do the Israel portion, it will be 10 days.
If you want to do the portion to Egypt and Elot, which is a treat in itself, and then the Rock City of Petra, you will find it will be a 15 day trip. So think about it. And we’ll have a wonderful time. It’ll be trip number 16 for me. And we’re going to have a great time studying the Bible all along the way. Bible and is this is important. We can’t do without your help. And so if you’re thinking about praying and helping us, that would be wonderful.
I hope you would call and give a gift by credit card over the phone or call an S for now book to be sent and mail your gift in to Bible and we aren’t really trying to get your money. want to be able to be on the air and the only way we can do that. If you have your participation in helping us financially to be on the air, please pray for us. If you can, give a gift to Bibleline.
We’re going to now do the second half hour Bibleline, so don’t go away. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back for a night break and this is Bibleline and we’re having fun. Hope you’re enjoying and if you have a question you’re welcome to call us. We’ve got all of our lines lined up so be patient, keep trying and we’ll get you up if we can.
I’ll try to go to right to our college here in just a second but again we want to remind you that we’re thinking about another trip to Israel and we want you on board so we want you to let us know if you’re interested so we can keep you abreast of our plans. It looks like we’ll go to split the trip up into a 10 day trip all Israel and a five day extension prior to where we’ll go to Egypt and Jordan.
We’ll see the pyramids. We’ll see the Cairo Museum. We’ll take a dinner cruise on the Nile River. We’ll stay in a luxurious five star deluxe hotel on an island right there in the center of the Nile River and downtown Cairo. a remarkable place to visit and we’ll probably go inside the Great Pyramid and enter the Pharaohs chamber. It’s quite a remarkable thing and boy if you’re claustrophobic you don’t want to do it because you’re in close to the mountain of rock.
It’s quite an interesting experience. I’ve done it numerous times and will take you right inside. So if you want to go with Let us know. We’ll see the Rock City of Petra where the Jews will flee from the Antichrist. We were talking about that earlier as we studied a little bit from Revelation chapter 12 and in Matthew 24. And it’s fascinating to know that we’re coming up real hard and fast on the very times that the Bible spoke about when these things will take place and the Jewish people will have to run for their lives and will go to the city that is prepared of God.
Will God will feed them and care for them? In any case, keep in touch with us and we’ll keep in touch with you. Give us your name if you’re interested at all in going to Israel. We started the book on 2 Peter last night. We had a great group, had a wonderful beginning. So we’ve done class one and two. Next week we’ll do class three and four. If you’re in the area, come up and be in the classroom with us.
We have a lot of fun. And we hope that you’ll be a part of that. But if you can’t, and we understand, because you don’t always live close by. So you can order the entire series on CD or DVD and actually see and hear as we do the class live. You’ll enjoy that. I’m sure we’re going to go to the phone lines. We have Charles in St. Pete waiting patiently. Charles, welcome to Bibleline your on the air. Thank you, sir.
One by teacher, Harold Camping, is teaching that. This is the end of the church. He’s saying that God has commended that. He’s recommended that the believers must depart out of their churches. Also, his references meant to you count the 24, 15 through 16, and a parallel passage is Luke 21, the 20th and the 21st. I’ll listen over the air for your comment. Hero camping is is off on a number of things, including that. But the church age isn’t over yet.
It’s ending. We believe the rapture will end the church age. began at Pentecost and will end on the Feast of Trumpets, which I believe means since Pentecost happened exactly on the day, that whatever day the Feast of Trumpets falls on, whatever year Christ comes back, it will happen right on the day. So it could be this year, it could be this fall on the Feast of Trumpets and then obviously you will be taken out and meet the Lord in the end, giving you a new resurrection body and then on the earth God will continue his plan for Israel preparing them to receive their king and Christ will come back at the end of that seven years as king of the earth and king of the Jews and he’ll camping his office Calvinist and his salvation is flawed and his doctrine about the leaving the church now is flawed.
I think it all mixes together because of his trying to read things into the Bible that are just not really there. Thank you Charles for that call. I disagree with Harold Camping. We’re now going to go to Everett and Everett is in Richmond, Virginia and Everett, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. How are you doing Dr. Hank? Good. I just have a quick question and now I’m going to listen to your answer over the radio. I know that the Bible is a hundred percent accurate and all of its properties, but how many prophets do they in the Bible exactly?
And I go ahead and listen to your answer over the radio. You know I don’t have a count, but there are, there’s got to be thousands. We have a book here called Every Prophecy of the Bible by John Walvern. John Walvern is a tremendous Bible writer and he was a past president of the The Philistological Seminary. This is quite a thick book and we have it, I think, for a gift of $20. It is incredible. And maybe you can count up how many there are.
His title tells us it’s every prophecy of the Bible. So, wow, I haven’t bothered to count them, but there’s a ton of them. And I would recommend you get that book. It’s one of my favorites. Thank you, Everett, for calling in. We now have, let’s see here, we have Howard, and Howard is in Tampa, Florida, and Howard welcome to Bibleline You’re on the Earth. Okay, Dr. Hank? Yeah. I’ve got a friend of mine, my aunt. She is a Seventh-day Adventist, and she quotes me here on Genesis chapter 2, verse 1 through 4, and she says, that’s why I go to church on Saturday.
Can you explain why we go to church on Sunday? Okay, and the answer is Howard that Jesus rose from the dead on the first day of the week. It’s pretty obvious. The Sabbath was really given to Israel. It says in Exodus 31, it is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever. He never gave it to the Gentiles. And when Christ rose from the dead on the first day of the week, his next major appearance on the 8th day, which is also a Sunday, and Pentecost, when the church age began, began on a Sunday.
And when you read the book of Acts, the early Christians met on the first day of the week. And when you read the Gospels and you read Paul’s writings in 1 Corinthians 16, it says, they came together on the first day of the week. And so clearly Christ set the worship day to commemorate his resurrection from the dead. The Sabbath was nailed to the cross by Jesus and taken out of the way. If you read Howard Colossians chapter 2, it says that he took the laws that were against us and nailed them to the cross and took them out of the way.
And therefore it says in verse 16 of Colossians 2, let therefore men judge you in respect of the meat or the holy days or the new moons or of the Sabbath. Somebody should judge you as to what they worship on, but the seven deadbears are wrong. They don’t believe in hell. They believe in soul sleep. They believe in works for salvation. They believe that if you worship on Saturday, that’s the market of living God. If you worship on Sunday, it’s the mark of the beast.
They have so many bad doctrines. They’ll never ever come clean because they read the Bible through the lenses of Ellen G. White. And her writings are flawed seriously big time. And these people are lost and they don’t even know it. And I believe we need to pray for them. And she needs to realize that if she’s trusting and worshiping on the Sabbath to go to heaven, she will not wind up in heaven, but wind up in a place that she doesn’t believe in, which is held.
There is a real hell. And that’s a major, major flaw to that whole group. Ask them if they believe in hell. They believe also that when you die, your soul sleeps until the resurrection. That is not true. Read Luke 16 and you read there in verse 19 on that there are two men that die, then the Christ pulled back the curtain on so we can see what’s going on. And both of them are conscious, both of them are alert, both of them have memory, both of them know where they are and what’s going on about them.
And there’s no such thing as soul sleep. That is again one major doctrinal era of the seven-day head past. And Howard, I hope that helps. And called back if we didn’t get it all for you. We’re now going to go to Mary and Mary is in Barco, Florida. Mary, welcome to Bible Ed. Oh, thank you. I have a question about angels. I know in the Bible that God sent his messengers and they appeared as men to people, so they you know like Abraham and and could see he sees him a lot um…
is there anywhere where Satan’s angels appear as men? I can’t find anything that they appear as humans? Well you know all angels whenever they appear appear as men that’s for sure but I don’t know a reference to that. Well, at the top of my head, but definitely they would not appear as an end to other form. Angels don’t have wings. Angels don’t have hails. Angels basically appear in our mistaken for men. And we find certainly God’s angels have been pointed out, appeared many times.
We can always say that boy they were mistaken for men and look like men. We see two inside the tomb when the women went in. saw two angels sitting there. We saw two angels standing there when Christ ascends back to heaven in Acts chapter 1. And it appears that they were mistaken for as men and so on and so on. But these were all God’s messengers. Yep. I don’t know of a reference for you. I have to think about it.
Maybe I can talk with them. I’ve been trying to because my sister keeps saying that the giants came from the angels back in the Genesis. Well, she’s She’s not reading her Bible very carefully because if you read Genesis 6-4 it says there were giants in the earth in those days and then it says after that, after that, the sons of God came in under the daughters of men and their children of them. So the giants were there before the marriages.
She said, I read her Bible very carefully. A lot of people don’t read their Bible very carefully and that’s how they get all messed up. She’s saying the sons of God were the angels. Right, he was one five, he got never called an angel his son. And the sons of God are believers, as it says in John one twelve, to as many as received Christ to them, God gave authority for them to become the sons of God. And angels never become God’s sons and will never become angels.
And so they’re totally separate groups. And certainly the giants that we read about in Genesis six four were there prior to the marriages. None of that fits. plus their angels don’t marry it says a Matthew twenty two thirty angels neither are given in marriage nor do they marry well no did what Adam and he’s got it no but obviously there have been giants all around even after the flood we had Goliath he was over he was over nine foot tall he’s a pretty big guy guy and I’d imagine he had trouble entering the average house in a stupa over crawling uh…
poor guy that creates a lot of problems for personal huge but he was a boy that’s a where they came from now no just as they were there they right and then we have some giants now they play for the NFL and the uh… basketball team i know i know we just got an email after all go from a three hundred fifty-pound woman but she was like you know almost eight feet tall but i think i was in a grocery line and i had that uh…
but one of these athletes stand next to me and i felt like i was back in elementary school and this guy is huge and i uh… i’m not that small and i thought whoa this guy is big he was a giant we have him around today right so that was just adam and eads some of their all yeah some of them yeah some of some uh… you know some people are short some people are tall uh… and summer big and summer skinny what can i say it’s all of the people so they were believers and unbelievers even from the beginning and okay i got you all right you have a god bless day and i thank you thank you mary and now we’re going to go to peter and peter is in palm harbor peter welcome to the bible and you’re on the yet here
Yeah. Oh, I’m so sorry, sir. I had a question on them about, should falling the ministers be restored? Men who have gotten caught up in certain sins and their local congregations. Should they be restored? well obviously depends on what uh… they’re being restored from the char every believer needs to be restored if you read glacial six one we are to obviously restore people that are fallen or gotten away from the Lord and be careful at the same time that we don’t fall into their sins, whatever they might be.
But it may be that the damage done may not be able to allow them to do what they did prior to the fall, but definitely they need to be restored. We need to bring them back into fellowship with the Lord and let them know that God loves them and can still use them. be done in the same capacity, but definitely can use them for the Lord. So read Galatians chapter 6 and you’ll see it talks about restoration of believers who have fallen away.
We’re now going to go to Frank in Clearwater. Frank, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. Good morning, Pastor. I have two questions. One, how? Alright. When Christ was on the earth, any preached at gospel. Wasn’t that primarily the gospel of the kingdom? Yes, at the first, that was the message was the gospel of the kingdom. The good news is that the kingdom was about to be set up if the Jewish people had received Christ as their kingdom. That kingdom would have been established 2000 years ago.
And you read that about that in Matthew 10 where it names the 12 apostles and tells them he sent him forth saying, preached the kingdom of heaven. at hand. But as Israel was rejecting Christ and Christ turns over toward the direction of his ministry toward the Gentiles and toward Calvary, the gospel of the grace of God becomes the primary theme. So if we look into the gospels primarily we can see that Peter had the revelation Paul said who when Christ said who do you say that I am and he said the Christ.
In 1916 yes exactly that’s when the real shift took place and that’s when Christ announced announced that he would build the church which is obviously going to take place at pentecost after christ would be rejected with the cost pay for a sentence and and then uh… send back to heaven after his resurrection uh… the church age would begin at pentecost primarily when we look at the uh… the stypo’s and they go to the tomb and uh… they’re there in unbelief at that time to start the resurrection is concerned exactly sure show uh…
when i’m trying to say that If we want to understand the gospel, as it applies to us as Christians today, we more or less have to look at it to the writings of Paul. Yeah, and the other apostles, like we’re studying right now, 2 Peter’s writings, James and John and also Paul. John’s gospel is good, but also the epistles of John and the book of Revelation are very I have one more question. I know I could you mention briefly a lot back on I think it gave a list of things that were what happened to us when we could trust Christ.
There’s a number of things that happened to us. Yeah. I have. I have an article I’ve written called Born Again What Happened. I listed 39 things that happened at the very instant of belief that are all irreversible. We can send that to you if you have internet access, go to my website Bible Administries.org and click on the bottom right hand corner on Dr. Linson’s articles. You can find it right here and print it out on your home. Could you give me a couple of them briefly, Lake?
Well, obviously you are translated, it says in Colossians 1, 13 and 14, from Satan’s Kingdom of Darkness in the Kingdom of God’s own Son. So you become obviously now, as far as God is concerned, already a citizen of heaven and in heaven. Also, you have all the operations of the Holy Spirit. You are baptized with the Holy Spirit, which is the placing of the believer in the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 1213, you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 3 16, your body becomes God’s temple and God’s Holy Spirit dwells within you. And also you have the new birth which occurs by the Spirit of God where you’re born now into the family of God. And that’s in John 1 John 5 1, it says, who’s never believed that Jesus is the son of God is born of God, then you have also the sealing of the Holy Spirit. In Ephesians 1, 13 and 14, the Holy Spirit seals you as God’s possession, which means it’s impossible for you to become lost because the seal is the third person of the Godhead.
He’d have to be more powerful than God himself, God the Holy Spirit, to be able to break the seal and cause a believer to be lost once it becomes saved. So on and so on and so on. I’ve got 39 listed on my my sheet and there’s more than that. I stopped because it was a nice number. I’m just wondering why we don’t hear with all of that. I’m surprised we don’t hear preaching on that and those are the truths of what the gospel really means to us as Barnagum believers and you don’t hear it much.
I know I’m preachers I believe are failing to carry out the responsible they have to preach the word. You know if you read 2nd Timothy and chapter 4 verse 2 in that pastoral epistle Paul tells Timothy and obviously every pastor and all believers that were to be preaching the word and the word of God is not being preached today. We’re entertaining people. It’s mostly music drama and praise and worship and very little if any other word I’ve got it all.
Hey, because I’ve talked to people and they’re very, very active and I know I think they love the Lord. They’re very active. But then they I asked one person I says to salvation and are you going to heaven? And he says, well, I can’t really answer that. And the thing is, if he identified with the gospel as you just presented it that we are dead. Amen. Seated and heavenly. The fact is true and it is because God said it.
Then why would we struggle with sin or you’re going to be? want to the thing is that the devil has blinded the mind he sure has he needs to do a good job of what he does i love your ministry i wish more people would well thank you frank i believe that we just need to cry out and tell people here’s what the bible says i feel it i know it thank you very much uh… i’d like to all right thank you frank that was frank in uh…
clear water florida and and really there is an urgency i believe because crisis coming back i I mean read the headlines. We are definitely, I think, in the last days. We have Peter now in Palm Harbor. Peter, welcome to Palm Line. Hello pastor, good morning, how are you? Good morning, I’m fine. In tying into, I wanted to just make a comment The next segment on the Feast of Trumpets that you were referring to earlier, not only sequentially is it correct to believe that that is the data Jesus will return but also in Numbers, Chapter 10, the Lord told Moses to make Two Trumpets and one of the purposes of blowing the trumpet was to call the assembly to lead together.
It was an interesting year. Especially since the Bible says to me the sound of the Trump and boy, all the believers of the church age will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. exactly second that’s alert that’s a lotion says the sound of a trump yep so made them makes that but then thank you i’m excited i’m ready to go uh… the rapture uh… could certainly happen that uh… anytime well thank you for calling peter we don’t have michael in tampa for them michael welcome to bible and you’re on the Good morning sir.
I have a question about neurology. I mean it’s relevant to our significance in today’s age. All right, well, I I don’t i don’t rest too heavily on the moral g although Certainly there is an association with different numbers and Bible True is one is the number of unity and obviously God is one and obviously as believers we are one body. So one and two is the number of division and we see that throughout the Bible three is the number of the trinity or God’s triune being and so on and so on and there’s using some doctrine that always gets connected with each number and I see that in scripture.
But some people go really wild with that stuff and they go often to the ditch and they all of a sudden it gets to be so obsessive for them that they miss the force for the trees. But I believe it, there’s a good book out and I forget the title right now but I’ll have to come up with that. We have it in our church library here. It’s one of the best books I’ve seen on numerology and it really is a fair treatment and gives you a sane approach to the whole thing.
I’ll have to think of the author. Right now my wife escapes me but that is my favorite on numerology. I’ll try to dig that up for you and we’ll give that over I’ve got over here. Okay. If I can call back later on. Yeah. We’ve been the weekend and retrieve that from you. I had a lady who told me she said about the number eight and as the year as 2008 was approaching. She said about number eight, the number of new beginnings.
Let’s see. That’s true, but I don’t know if you can throw that in. 2008, I couldn’t say how could she guess she can make the connection with 2008. Well, I don’t either, and that’s the problem with this whole thing about numerology. That’s why I don’t like to steer people too far that way, because they go over the end of the ditch. They drive the car off a road. It’s your ministry, and I thank God for you. Okay, well, my God, my question, you have a wonderful day.
Thank you, you do, Spain. Alright, that was Michael in Tampa, Florida. Well we’re coming up on the end of the show here and I think we’ll probably just try to wind things up here. It is Wednesday, we’ll be back tomorrow Thursday. We have started the class on 2nd Peter if you’re in the area. We’d love to have you be a student in the classroom with me and I think you’ll really enjoy that atmosphere and learning the Word of God.
And I think it’s powerful if you could be in an actual room while we’re doing it, but we will have the CDs and the DVDs available. And you’ll be able to take a computer that way. We’ve already had first Peter done. You might want to order that today over the phone. Also, we are always disappointed. And I need to talk about money and really do. And if I had everything, if I had enough money to do it myself, I’d just pay all the bills and say don’t give us any money.
But we have a partnership and I think it’s God’s plan that we would work together to get this job done and you will, I believe, reap the same rewards that we do here as you share with your resources to help us get that job done. I believe that’s the Bible principle. And so God wants to bless you and bless us. And as we partner together to pull this off, your gifts, obviously, are the indispensable means by which we can pay the bills and keep on these radio stations and we would appreciate your help.
Call and give a gift today, would you? Buy credit card and we want to thank you in advance, your prayers and your gifts. I’ve got to run. We’ll be back tomorrow. I hope you’ll join me then. And again, you can listen on the internet to this program as often as you like. And I hope you’ll check that out. Got to go. But keep looking up. Jesus is coming and I believe soon.
