And yesterday we had people really from all over the world that were watching our worship service live. If you can’t catch it live, you can catch it in archive. We have a year’s worth of sermons waiting for you there. From our night is Tuesday, and we’re going to be having our second in the series on second Peter.

It’ll be class three and four. And if you’re in driving distance, you’re welcome to come out and become a student with us in the classroom. That will be tomorrow night from about 7.15 to 9.15 and we’ll be studying second Peter. That is an incredible study and a book that certainly Satan doesn’t want you to learn about as it equips you to be living in these last days with the doctrines that we’re being confronted with, which is quite a remarkable thing about our time.

I remember when I first became a believer, you hardly encountered the world religions and much less just a few of the cults, but now everybody is getting assaulted by all kinds of conflicting ideas. It’s a time of deception. Second Peter will help you. We have these recorded and they’re on CD and DVD. You can order them as we complete the class and also you can also get first Peter, which which we’ve already completed. So hopefully you’ll do that. We’re talking about going to Israel again.

We’re excited about that. We just got back a few weeks ago. And this next trip, it looks like we’re talking about at least. We’ll make our minds up here in the next week or two. And that is we’ll go for a 10-day trip to Israel with an option that will precede that 10 days. If you want to go with me to Egypt, we’ll go to Cairo. We’ll go to visit the pyramids. get a chance to climb inside the Great Pyramid and enter the Pharaoh’s chamber.

You’ll also get to do a dinner cruise with us on the Nile River. We’ll stay on the Nile River on an island right in the middle of Cairo. Enjoy the setting there of being right in the middle of one of the largest, well actually the largest city in Africa. And we’ll visit the Cairo Museum. We’ll We’ll obviously have a wonderful time. Then we’ll drive to a lot, which is a resort city of Israel on the Red Sea. People come from all over the world there to scuba dive, to jet ski, to water ski.

And they have an amazing aquarium there where you go out half a mile on a pier and go down to this glass enclosure that has three different levels where you can watch the fish in their natural setting in the Red Sea. The fish come looking at the strange looking creatures, the humans that are inside the fish bowl. Very fascinating and a wonderful experience. We’ll then of course drive over into Jordan to the rock city of Petra where the Jewish people will flee from the Antichrist during the tribulation period.

40 square miles of buildings carved right out of the rock. a beautiful red rose city of Petra and we’ll have a wonderful time there. When we get back… From there we’ll drive from a lot up into Israel and meet those that are coming for the 10-day Israel only part of the tour. And we’ll have a great time. I hope you’ll consider being a part of that. Give us your input. Tell us when you’d like to go. Tell us what you’d like to do.

And you can still obviously influence us. We haven’t settled it. We could leave as early as October 15 and do it this year in the last two weeks of October. or we can wait till next February and do it then. Give us your comments. Would you like to travel this year or would you like to wait till February? We’d like to hear your comments. Give us a call. If you have your Bible there, get it out. We’ll be talking about the Bible and of course then we’ll take our callers.

People are already calling in and getting up on the board here to be on the air with us. And so we’d love to answer your questions. No doubt about it, we’re living in a most incredible time. I want to turn… I’m going to turn over to Matthew chapter 24, and Jesus here warned about what would take place after the rapture during the tribulation period and how we must be extremely close to that time. The first warning that Jesus gives is in verse 4, Matthew 24, and he says, take heed that no man deceive you.

Obviously the last days would be characterized by deception. It seems like new cults and new false belief systems are multiplying every day. It was over a hundred years ago when we had a few cults come along, the Joe’s Witnesses, the Seventh Adventist, and the Mormons and many others. But now there are thousands and thousands and new ones cropping up all the time. So Jesus warns about deception. And the only way to know whether you’re deceived or not is to know your Bible well.

If you’re in the Bible, you’ll be able to detect false beliefs. And then it says in verse 5, for many shall come in my name, saying I am Christ, and deceived many. For many, many years I taught that this was, there would be those who would come along and claim that they were the Messiah. And we have people like that and they have their followings. There’s a fellow down in Miami, Florida who claims that he’s Jesus. You can actually go visit him and people worship him and give money to him.

He lives a very opulent life, but he’s not Jesus. There’s another guy down in Miami that claims he is Yahweh, that he’s God. In fact, I was driving down the interstate one day and Yahweh passed me I saw an entourage of white Cadillacs and it said Yahweh on the side of the lead car and apparently God drove right by me on interstate. Well, there’s a lot of that, but I don’t believe this is what it’s talking about It says here many shall come in my name.

I believe it’s talking about many different groups or denominations or organizations that name the name of Christ, and they recognize that Christ is the Messiah, but yet they deceive many with a false message. I think this is most of what is called Christianity today. Even the cults claim that they are coming in the name of Christ. The Mormons, for example, say that they are the Church of the Latter-day Saints of Jesus Christ. They are not even close to being Christian, and yet they claim to be the saints of the latter days of Jesus Christ.

And the Jehovah’s Witnesses claim that they are Christian, and so on and so on. And yet they are not, and yet they deceive many with their doctrines. And there are obviously many that seem to be mainstream, or also just as false, because Because they teach works are necessary for salvation and that salvation is obtained by what we do. Sometimes in addition to what Christ did, sometimes almost apart from what Christ did. But we know the Bible is very clear that eternal life is the gift of God.

It’s received by faith and faith alone in trusting what Jesus Christ did for us at the cross. The Bible says that Ephesians 2 8, Salvation is not of yourself, is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. So we here in Matthew 24 are warned about the deception of the last days that there would be many that would deceive many, and obviously I think we are seeing that today. And obviously if you read… Matthew 7, it talks about many, which I think are the ones that are mentioned here in this Matthew 24, will stand before Christ and brag about what they’ve done in the name of Christianity or Christ, and yet Christ says to them, I never knew you.

Why? Because they were boasting or bragging about what they were doing for God or Christ that would bring about their salvation. Matthew 722 says, many will stand before me at that day and that’s talking about the great white throne judgment when the lost are going to be cast into hell. And they’ll say, Lord, Lord, didn’t we preach in your name and heal in your name and do wonderful works in your name? And Christ says, I never knew you. Not a once-name, I lost you, but I never knew you.

And the reason why is because, notice, they didn’t say, didn’t we trust that you died on the cross and shed your blood and paid our sin debt and full and were buried and it erodes again from the dead. They’re boasting and bragging about what they did, why we preached in your name and we healed in your name. And it would wonderful works in your name. And Christ said, I’m sorry, that’s the wrong answer. I never knew you, apart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Are you saved if you’re not sure right now of whether you would go to heaven or not? Chances are you don’t really have it. You probably haven’t understood it because according to the Bible, eternal life is something that God has already purchased at the cross. And when you trust Christ, you receive it at the moment you believe in possessance forever thereafter. And the Bible says you can know that you’re saved. Not hope, not guess, not perhaps, but you can actually know.

Right now I know that I have eternal life. I know that whenever I die I’ll go to heaven to be with the Lord. Why? Let me give you one great verse. First John 5, 13, these things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that you may K-N-O-W. No, not hope, not guess. You can know that you have eternal life. If you’re genuinely saved, you can know. And the Bible, of course, on dozens of verses gives us assurance so that we can know right now that we’re saved and saved forever.

I remember one of the books I read as a young Christian was called Full Assurance by Harry Ironsides. What a great book, taking that quote from the book of Hebrews about how that God wants us to have full assurance, to know that we’re saved, know why we’re saved, know that we’re saved eternally, that we can’t be cast out, that we cannot be lost, but it’s forever. And it happens at the instant of belief. From that moment on, you are a child of God.

if you trust Jesus alone as the one who fully and completely paid your sin debt at the cross. I’m Dr. Englund Strem, we’re going to go to the phone line and we invite you to give us a call here at Bibleline, the number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We’re now going to go to St. Petersburg and we have Elizabeth on the line and Elizabeth, welcome to Bibleline, you’re on the air. Dr. Lindstrom, thank you for taking my call. My call is about the millennium.

The people born in the millennium, will they have just 100 years to accept Christ or reject them and then be destroyed? And I’d like to hang up on you, answer if that’s all right. All right, that’ll be fine, Elizabeth. And the answer is that they have obviously their whole lifetime to trust the Lord. When it talks about in Isaiah that when somebody dies in the millennium at a hundred years of age, it says that they’re just a child. This gets started in life because the length of life will be increased again and somebody might even break Mephusa’s record of 969 years.

So if somebody is young at the very beginning of the tribulation period, They could live maybe more than 969 years. So if you die at 100, you’ll be dying young. But these that are living during the millennium will need to trust Christ as their Savior. They’ll have a sin nature. They’ll be descendants of Adam as all of us are. And they haven’t told they’d draw their last breath until they die. The Lord is the thank you for that question from St.

Petersburg. Okay, we have here Robert in Bradenton leaves this offer a question. He says one of the 10 commandments says, now so not killed. So why does God go out and tell Israel to kill? Actually the word in the Hebrew means to murder. And obviously God says that were not to take somebody else’s life or murder them, but there are commands in the Bible where certainly Israel was to go out and defend themselves against their enemies, but also when they came in and take the land, God used them as a judgment upon those people in those lands that had become very, very wicked.

way back in the book of Genesis in chapter 15 before Israel ever entered the promised land after coming out of Egypt, God had told Abraham that the people of his descendants, the Jewish people would go down to Egypt and be their slaves for 400 years. He says when he would bring them back, it would be at a time when the iniquity or the wickedness of the Amorites would have come to the full. In other words, God was giving the people in the land of Israel more time to trust him as Savior.

And the Amorites were wicked, but in 400 more years God would say, I’ve had it up to my forehead. I’m not going to tolerate them anymore. And so he used Israel to punish them and destroy them. And down through time, God has done that. And this was a judgment on the part of God. So if you are a soldier fighting for your country, definitely the Bible does not forbid you to fight and defend your country and to in the process if enemies enemies are killed, it doesn’t violate that commandment of the household murder.

Alright, we’re going to go to the T.J. in Largo, and T.J. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, I’ll just point out, I want that to make the community, oh, you have to take the time and they’ll know you’re going to play with it. I think something’s got some bad traffic sounds. Why did you get? Yeah, I was calling one of the underchemic of the replica about a problem because it’s just about two things. It’s about a problem.

OK, I’m not too sure. But if the question is what I thought it was, he’s talking about prophecy, the gift of prophecy, would cease. And that’s in 1 Corinthians, chapter 13, verses 8 through 10. There are three gifts that when the New Testament record was completed that would be taken away. It says it would be done away. And that’s the gift of knowledge, the gift of prophecy and the gift of tongues. And all three of those gifts ceased at the end of the first century.

They were temporary gifts and are not around today. So there’s There’s nobody who has the gift of prophecy today or the gift of knowledge today or the gift of tongues. The gibberish done today is not the biblical gift, which was a known foreign language to be used to evangelize. Paul makes it very clear. In 1 Corinthians 14, 9, except he speaks by the tongue words, easy to be understood. How shall he be known what is spoken? He just speaks into the air.

In verse 22 he says, the gift, the real gift of tongues was assigned to unbelievers. It was to be used to win them to Christ. And the modern-day gift is not used out in the street with the unbelievers because unbelievers obviously would not respond well to it. We’re not going to go to Joe down in Sarasota and Joe, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the Hi, Pastor. Question. I think we’re going to church right here and trying to find a Christian church and I’ll find that.

I think that the most of them here are just reaching water baptism like for salvation or sticking in thongs. And they’ve got this one here, the most of repentance. And when I ask them about repentance, they say that that’s the repent of the state. You know, I think it’s one of the works of ancient Bible says that we say by grace alone through the face alone. And they have said that we’re all the righteousness that this is the right.

The word repentance doesn’t mean it doesn’t come from your sense. You know, it doesn’t even change your mind. Can you comment on that? on that too. Well Joe, we hear that all the time and it’s unfortunate that we don’t have a clarity of doctrine today and the churches have departed from that which is exactly one of the signs that tells us we’re in the last days. Timothy 4 verse 3 says the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine and that’s exactly what we’re experiencing.

Water baptism doesn’t save. Water baptism is symbolic. It’s a picture of how we’re cleansed of our sin by the blood of Christ. The hymn writer got it right when he said, what can wash away my sin? The answer being nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. But many are teaching water baptism is essential for salvation. It’s certainly wrong. Repentance as well. Repentance, you know, in the Greek word is metanoia. Metaphy meaning change, noia meaning mind.

And it means a change of mind. And in order to be saved, you have to change your mind about how you become saved. You’re not saved by works. You’re saved by trusting in the work that Christ did for you at the cross. So in So in order to be saved, you must recognize who Christ is, change your mind about whoever you might have thought he was, recognize that he’s God who came and took on near him and fledged, and that he went to the cross and gave himself as the payment for us and died and shed his blood.

And when we trust that he was crucified and buried and rose again from the dead, and that his death was the means by which we could begin to save, God saves us. Thank you for your study here and your benefit. I appreciate it. Laurie, you’re very welcome then. Thank you Joe. So glad you’re very welcome then. Thank you Joe. So glad that you have called in. Well in any case we want you to pray for Bible and we right now are in a short fall time and I really could use your help.

We need really about $20,000 by the end of this week or we’re going to lose some of the stations that were on and I’d hate to have that happen. So if you’re listening out there and you enjoy Bibleline, could you help us out? And if you would, you just call in and tell the operators you’d like to give a gift to help us get through this time and keep us on the air. So we hope that you’ll pray for Bibleline.

And especially those of you down in Miami, we’d like to be able to keep Miami on the air. But we really know that we’ve been only on a few months now, but we really need the support from the Miami Air to keep that program going on in the air. So pray for us. We are trying to get the GOS plot as best we can, and all we can do is be your voice, but you have to help us be the partner that helps us be able to pay for the stations to be on the air.

So all of you that are listening, please pray for us. And you can mail a gift to Bible on by calling in and asking for an on-load to be sent. And we’ll send that out to you. You can mail your gift in or you can call in and give a gift by credit card over the phone. But we do need a considerable amount of money here before the end of this week. Or we might be saying goodbye to some of the stations that were on.

God bless you in Miami. We certainly enjoy being on the air down there. and we certainly need your help and your support to keep us on the air down there. So we’re gonna sign off with Miami right now because they go off early before the other stations, but pray for us, and if you can help, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771, and you can give a gift by credit card over the phone and help us through this crisis. And thank you.

All right, we’re gonna now return to some of the other stations that are still on the air. We’re going to Michael and he’s in Flint, Michigan and he leaves this author question. Where do the Jews go that do not trust Christ as their Messiah? Well obviously there’s only two places. There’s heaven and there’s hell. Unless you trust Christ you will not go to heaven. Whether you’re Jewish, whether you’re Gentile, no matter what your status is in life or what your race is, if you do not trust Christ, you will not go to heaven.

That’s why we’re so concerned that people hear this wonderful message because it’s like a let’s say a cruise ship is sinking and everybody on board is going to drown. and other ships come around with lifeboats and offer help. But some people on board say, I don’t want your help. I’m going to do it on my own. And they wind up drowning. Well, basically the whole world is going to drown without the Savior, which is Christ. And He’s offering salvation to everyone.

But if you die without Christ, you’ll certainly not make it into heaven. Youccess Christ as your Savior. Thank you, Michael. That’s in Flint, Michigan. If you want to call in and leave it off your question you can or you can call and be up on the air with us We are going to have to end this half hour and we’ll come back into a second half hour Byline so keep your radio tuned right where it is and we’ll be right back after this short break In the meantime, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771 one and again you can hear this program on the internet now and also all week long and from the probably another year or two we’ll keep it in our account for you.

God bless we’ll be right back in a moment after the short break so don’t go away. I’ll be right back in just a moment. Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. I’m not sure that the instrument is great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning in to the broadcast. We enjoy being with you each and every day, Monday through Friday. And obviously we need your help and your support to be able to stay on the air.

Your gifts to us are the other part of the equation that keep this program going. We can be your spokesperson and give out the gospel and explain the Bible on the air, answer your questions, but we don’t have any means of support except for our listeners. Right now we have a shortage I think our economy has hurt everybody and we need your help to be able to make sure that all the stations were on will continue. So if you could help us that would be great.

You can call and give a gift by credit card over the phone and we would appreciate your help. Please pray for us if you can’t give anything. We still love you. But pray that the Lord would raise up the funds that we need to be able to keep this program coming to you. Bibleline is totally listed and supported. We don’t have any other means of support and if you could assist us at this time it would be wonderful. We are thinking about going to Israel.

We’d love to have you on board with us. If you’re interested, don’t give us your name and we’ll keep you informed as we make our plans. Also we’re now teaching 2nd Peter on Tuesday nights and that is going to be a great class. We have done class 1 and 2 and we have 8 more hours to go and we’ll do 3 and 4 tomorrow night on Tuesday night. If you’d like to get that series, it will be available on CD and DVD.

And of course we have about 40 different teachings that are already done that are available to you. If you want to call in, you can order those along with many other things that are in our Resource Center including the handbook on personal evangelism, what a great book that it will tell you how to lead someone to Christ. It basically tells you or it imagines a scenario where you’ll imagine what you say, what they’ll say, what they’ll say, and helps you right through the witnessing process and is very, very powerful.

We’re going to go back and do a second half hour Bible I know, so I hope you’ll stay tuned right where you are. We’re going to rejoin stations that have been on break. And if you can stay with us, stay tuned to this radio station or stay on the internet with us and you can catch us for a second half hour. And the Bibleline is coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church at 4811 George Road in Tampa, Florida.

So stay tuned. Here we go. And we’ll do a second half hour. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back to that break and this is Bibleline. That’s great to be with you today and we look forward to being with you every day, Monday through Friday. Tomorrow’s Tuesday and we’re going to have those classes on 2nd Peter.

That’ll be from 715 to 915 if you’re in the area. If you’re in driving, this is combined. See us right next to the Tampa airport and our classes are from 715 to 915. We’ll do class 3 and 4 tomorrow night. But if you live in other areas, you can order the CDs or the DVDs of this class on 2nd Peter. We’ve already finished first Peter before we went to Israel and that’s available on CD and DVD as well. Don’t forget that my mind is less than supported.

We really need your prayers and your assistance at this time. We really are short about $20,000 that we need to have by the end of this week. If you could jump in and help us with a gift, that would be wonderful. Would you call and tell our operators that you’d like to give a gift and do that by credit card or call in and ask for an envelope to be sent and you can mail us a gift? We don’t want to lose any stations that we’re on and we might lose a few stations if we don’t have your help.

So, pray for us. And I know the Lord will provide. We’re trusting that he will. We’re going to go back on the phone lines. We have Mike in Tampa, Florida and Mike. You’re on the air. Yes, sir. You’re on the air. Yes, sir. Good morning, God. Good morning. You’re on the air. If you’re listening to your radio, you’ll get confused. Okay. There’s a 20-second delay. You have to listen to the phone. Okay. Good morning, Dr. Lindstrom. I’ve got a question that’s been confusing me.

Scripture, I have you explained. I certainly will. Mike gets talking about, and that’s in 1 John, chapter 5, in verse 16. He talks about sin and death that you’re not to pray for because nothing can be done about it. This is a sin that a believer can commit where the Lord will take you home to heaven and there’s no remedy. You don’t lose your salvation but you will lose your life. Moses committed that sin. Instead of speaking to the rock, as he was told, he smote the rock and obviously God, because of that said, and his disobedience said that he was going to take the moment to have it.

He never got to lead the chimmed visual into the promised land. He got to see it from the top of Mount Pishka from the Jordan side of the river Jordan, but he never was able to enter in. And Moses died. The Bible tells us his eyesight was great, his strength was great. He was still in great physical condition, but God took his life. We find that there are others in the Bible. in Acts 5 we have Ananias and Sephira.

They lied about their giving and God took them. Boom, they both died and they were buried instantly. You’ll find over in 1 Corinthians 5 there’s a man who’s living in fornication with his mother, probably his stepmother. And Paul says in verse 5, a 1 Corinthians 5, to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh that the Spirit might be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. So So here the Lord was allowed to take this man’s life, but yet it says he would still be saved, which is important.

And there are many, many examples and it’s not the same sin that would cause this for each and every one of us. So whatever that sin might be, when you do that, it’s not part of what you will, your life will be taken. But to go to hell, that’s not going to happen if you’re a believer. There’s only one unpardonable sin that will take you to hell, Mike, and that is unbelief. If you die without Christ, then that’s not forgiven and you’ll spend all eternity in hell.

But if you trust the Lord, then you’re saved forever and you’ll never go to hell. But the Lord could take your life and that’s the sin and the death that I think you’re asking about. Hope that helps. Yes, sir. It sure did. Thank you. Thank you. All right. That was Mike in Tampa, Florida. You’re welcome to call in if you’d like, and you can call 1-800-576. 3-7-7-1. We have David now in Tampa, Florida. He calls in and leaves us offer a question in Romans 12-1.

Does this refer to works for salvation? And the answer is no. Romans 12-1 is talking to Christians. It says, I beseech you therefore, brethren. He’s talking to the believers. And he says, in view of the mercy that God has had upon you, you ought to present your body as a living. sacrifice. Holy, except for one God which is your reasonable service. So we’re saved to serve. It’s only reasonable that you would yield your life to be a living sacrifice for Christ after you become saved.

But it’s not talking to people that are lost about how to be saved. It’s talking to saved people about what they ought to do now that they are saved. David, thank you for calling in. I hope that answered your question. If you want to call in, the phone number is 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. Well, Matthew, from Spring Hill, Florida, calls in and he leaves this off for your question. Will the Antichrist only have one I, according to Zechariah 11-17. No, it’s talking about when Christ comes back, he’ll punch him in the eye, so I guess he’ll take his eye out.

But that’s at the end of his rule or reign. The antichrist will rise the power during the tribulation period and be in power right up until the very end of the seven years of tribulation that will follow the rapture. And when Christ comes back, he punches him out. And apparently punches him right in the eye. So it’s not talking about him having only one eye during his rule of zenok rice, but maybe he loses his sight in that eye when Christ punches him.

Okay, that’s a good question. I’ve never had that asked before. We have Jenna in Tampa, Florida, and she calls in with this offer of question. She says, is being a Jew a race? Well, according to the Bible, all those that are descendant of Abraham through Isaac and through Jacob are Jewish. Abraham was the first Hebrew. The word Hebrew means to cross over, and Abraham crossed over from the land of Ur into the Promised Land and became the first Hebrew.

And all those that are sent from him are considered to be Hebrew. Then we find that Isaac was born and his son Jacob, God changed his name to Israel, which means child of God. So the first Israelite was Jacob, the grandson of Abraham. And then we know that Jacob or Israel had twelve sons and one of those tribes was called Judah. And if you just say one of the syllables, it’s Jew. So technically, the first Jew was Judah. And later, during the Babylonian captivity, when the largest tribe of the Jews was Judah, the Babylonians in just kind of trying to put the Jewish people down, called them all by the term Jew.

So that’s really where that originated, about 600 years before Christ came. The slang word Jew was hung on the Jewish people. But technically anybody born of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob is a Jew. There’s also Judaism, which is the religious belief of the Jews, which true Judaism and true Christianity are one and the same. They both teach salvation by faith alone in a Messiah. If you read your Old Testament, you’ll find that Abraham was saved by faithful outworks. We find that David in the Psalms talked about salvation by faith without works in the Messiah.

And so what has happened today, modern agitism has departed from the Scripture as much of what is modern a Christianity has departed from the Scripture and is teaching a perverted message of salvation by works and sometimes in conjunction with Christ but sometimes just works by themselves. We’ll get you to heaven according to some different churches. Hope that helps and Jenna, thank you for calling in with that question. We now have Brad, Don and Brad, and Brad. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the earth.

Hey, is Brad? Yeah, Brad. Oh, are you good good? I had in John or come down and stroke. He couldn’t get down to the pool in time before someone put on the before him. And I was wondering on that, what is the significance of the healing pool and then an angel down? I don’t know. Maybe just explain. Well, I was just there a few weeks ago. We were there at the pools of Bethesda and that’s where this impotent man lay and never could get down to the water.

But whether or not an angel did that or people actually healed, if the pool is not the significant point, is Jesus didn’t put him in the pool of water to heal him. Jesus just said, think up by bed and walk. And so he healed him without the water. So the whole point was that people had gone to this place to find healing. I personally don’t think that any healing ever took place there, and I don’t even believe the story about the angel, That’s what people believed and when Christ came there, without the water, He healed a man.

He said, take up my bed and walk and hear the man who had never walked before in his whole life for 38 years is now able to walk and leap and jump around and quite a remarkable miracle took place which showed the glory of God that Jesus was God and took on flesh who could do all the things that man could not be able to do, resource right to the blind and raise the dead and so on. Jesus Christ is indeed the Messiah.

So Brad, I hope that helps. I really don’t necessarily think that anybody ever got healed at that pool, but they thought they would. And this poor man waited all of his life to be healed. And Jesus, if the healing was in the pool, Jesus would have dragged him into water. that Jesus didn’t. He just did a rise in walking and he healed him. Hope that helps. It does talk about the story that the people believe. I’m not too sure that anybody was ever healed there though.

It doesn’t really say that. The point is that Christ came to a place where people were expecting healing and he didn’t use the pool to heal them and he healed himself without the pool. That was the third healing that was documented, right? I don’t know about the third healing but it was probably the third miracle in the miracle. Okay, great. Why? Thank you very so much for your time. You’re welcome Brad. Thank you for calling in and we’re now going to go to Matthew in Spring Hill, Florida and Matthew, welcome to my one.

You’re on the air. Come on Dr. Hank. I don’t have a question this morning. I just want to share something I learned in the class. I’m concerned that I was second Peter the recipe for Christian living. When you’re talking about adding to safe virtue. or you made a parable of the soul of the sea that falls on the rock They received the word with joy, which means they have the faith. But the reason that they fall away in time of temptation is because they never added the first ingredient, which is virtue, and then the second ingredient, which is knowledge.

So they fall away in temptation because they have neither virtue or knowledge. And then the seed that falls among the forms and gets choked up with cares and riches and pleasures is because they haven’t added the ingredient of self-control. And then you lose the next ground that he talks about, are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word keep it and bring forth fruit with patience. Now patience is the ingredient that follows virtue, knowledge, self-control.

So once you have those and then you have patience and you have godliness in your brain, forth fruit. So that’s just what I wanted to share. Well very good Bible lesson and I’m glad you We’re talking about Second Peter, where Peter gives the recipe for a successful Christian life. You hardly ever hear anybody preach on it, but Matthew, I’m glad that you picked up on that and tied it to other parts of the Bible. to other parts of the Bible.

And for those that don’t know what we’re talking about, let me encourage you to order the CD series or DVD series on second Peter. We’re now going to go to Brad up in in Fredericksburg, Virginia and Brad, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hi Dr. Haggar, how are you doing a Jewish fellow here? All right. All right. I just wanted to correct the misstatement. The definition of the word Israel actually means fighters or al. That’s what it really means.

And on the subject of salvation, the Jewish religion are related to the Bible. He’s a religious religion. Our religion doesn’t have any room in it for a belief in an afterlife. So the salvation for the Jew doesn’t really mean the same thing that it would mean, especially the salvation for the nation of Israel. So we have two different beliefs about the word salvation and the two different religions. Well, thank you for sharing that. But you know… But you know if you read the scriptures you’re off-face because the obviously Job for example said, I know that my redeemer liveth.

And the latter day he will actually stand here on the earth, and though the worms would destroy his body, he says yet I will see God in the new body that he would receive. David also, in the 23rd Psalms, said, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever, forever, forever. And Isaiah is filled with expressions about everlasting salvation that comes about through the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ.

So obviously, again, Judaism is so departed that they don’t even talk about an afterlife, and that’s unfortunate. But if you read the Old Testament, Abraham and all the others believed in life after death and obviously believed the gospel and were saved and given eternal life as a gift. Thank you, Brad. We now have Crawford in St. Petersburg. Crawford, welcome to my blend. Yes, how you doing, Dr. Hank? Listen, I’m Mr. or Meridian, Mr. Sturt when the guy called in about the process.

I’m having a problem with that myself because I had a discussion with a bishop and a pastor last night about the process. And I told her I didn’t leave the process because there’s no such thing. And the God is the one who’s a pastor of anybody who’s going on a day phone. Give me some clapping cake on that. I’m going to hang up and listen to you. Okay? Okay. Okay, I’m not too sure. I understood what you were talking about there, but the gift of prophecy is done.

It was rendered entirely unnecessary, and that’s because once the New Testament record was written, everything we need to know about God’s future plans on this planet have been spelled out. We know the next event is the Rapture. Following then is the Tribulation period. And then of course the Antichrist rises to power during that time. The nations will come to war in the Middle East. That’s the Battle of Armageddon. Christ will come back. He’ll take over this planet, become king and rule on this Earth for a thousand years.

And so we don’t need the gift of prophecy. So it was rendered unnecessary. The gift of knowledge the same way which allowed the apostles to be able to have perfect recall as to the events in the life of Christ. And obviously as they wrote the New Testament record, they wrote everything down accurately and that’s why the Bible is infallible in Aaron. It’s God’s word because God did use that gift of knowledge with them but it’s no longer necessary. It’s gone.

It has ceased. We now have Terry in St. Petersburg and Terry. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. Terry Davis. Yes, Terry. In St. Petersburg and I had a question for Pastor Hank. I’ve heard him talk in the past about a verse in Revelation where he believes that America is still going to be here, that It’s the superpower that’s still going to be here. And he’s the only pastor I’ve ever heard talk about that. And I was wondering what the Bible reference was.

Well, thank you, Terry. I believe that the main reference that is easy to pick up on is Daniel chapter 7, verse 8. And there talks about the 10 horns or the 10 nations of Europe. And it talks about how that. He saw the ten horns and I believe that today is fulfilled in the European common market. But it says out of the ten there came another horn. Now if you have another that means one more and that means eleven.

So there’s an eleventh horn which is the little horn of Daniel chapter seven and that little horn is a nation that comes out of the ten or spawned by or birthed by your own. Europe and is younger than its little or it’s not as developed as these older nations are out of Europe as most nations of Europe are over 2,000 years old and here we’re the young upstart nation that’s been birthed by Europe the United States of America, middle over 200 years old and yet we’re stronger than and more powerful than Europe and according the Bible the Antichrist is also called a little horn.

He’s the leader of this 11th nation. So it’s I think pretty clear that there are 11 nations and there’s only one nation in the world that meets that description. One nation in the world that’s younger than, stronger than, that has been birthed by Europe and that’s the United States of America. Hopefully that helps. Yes, that answers my question. Beautiful. Thank you very much. You’re You’re welcome. Thank you, Terry. There are other verses that we could use to support that.

But I think that one is pretty easy to pick up on and you can follow that teaching. We have Mark in Tampa, Florida. He calls in with this offer question. Can a Christian have a gun in his home? Of course, the answer is yes. In fact, the Bible, of course, teaches that you have the right to defend your family your home protected against intrusions and definitely in the Old Testament. If a person was killed in the struggle, our laws on justifiable homicide come from that because the Old Testament said if the intruder comes in and he’s killed in the struggle that there is no crime committed by the owner or the head of the home.

You have a right to protect your children and your family and certainly nothing wrong with that. We have Jack in Venice, Florida, calls in with this offer a question and he says, can Satan still hinder our prayers today as he did with Daniel in Daniel 1013? That will be the answers. Yes, certainly. He is the adversary and he is obviously a warring against every Christian. If you read Ephesians 6, it says that we are constantly in battle with Satan and his angels and they’re obviously warring against every one of us.

A lot of Christians though don’t have their eyes open spiritually so they don’t even know there’s a battle and of course they’re not involved in the battle because they’re just asleep at the switch. But once you start to live for Christ, once you start to witness and give the gospel out, you’re going to find that Satan becomes pretty real because he’s going to oppose you in your efforts to serve the Lord. Thank you, Jack, Dennis, and Dennis, and we appreciate you all listening and God bless you.

Again, I’d like to say to me I don’t like to talk about Dennis about finances, but I was just informed this morning that we are short about We have to have this week or we might lose a few of the stations that we’re on. We won’t lose the Tampa station, but if you’re listening to this program and you want to help us assure that we stay on the air in your area, we really need some help right now. Could you help us?

You could call and give a gift by credit card over the phone and we hope that the provide through you who are listening today to say we want Bible and to be able to continue. I know that certainly God will bless you richly for being a part of getting this program out to people that need to hear it as we get reports all the time of people getting saved, people that are growing in the Lord. We just got a wonderful letter from a prisoner this past week who received the Bible, they He sent him into jail and he just said that this is the first time anybody’s done anything for him in his life.

And he was so grateful. He said he’d come over and make up whatever we had spent on him. He had both of the water picked up the garbage and he just said thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you throughout the letter and how he was going to start a new life studying the Word of God and growing as a Christian. So we get some wonderful letters and really. people that are appreciative of hearing the gospel and giving it out.

Could you help my blood? We really could use your help this week. And we hate to even bring that topic up, but it’s a necessary thing if we are to continue. Some stations are at risk right now if we don’t raise that money by the end of this week. So pray about that. If you can’t give our operators a call and you can give a gift by credit card over the phone and or you can call us for number and milk to be sent and mail your gift in.

Most important, we pray that you’ve trusted Jesus as your Savior. If you die without Christ, my friend, you will not enter heaven. There’s only one way to be saved. And Christ said, I am the way, the truth of the life. And no man can come unto the Father but by me, John 14-6. When you trust Jesus Christ is your only means of heaven. That he died and paid years to indebted the cross. God saves you. We got a run, time is out, but we’ll be back tomorrow.

I hope you’ll join me. And again, don’t forget we have this class this tomorrow night if you’re driving this is coming up. Visit us for a second, Peter. Keep looking up. Jesus is coming and we believe very soon. You’ve been listening to Bibleline, a presentation of Bibleline Ministries of Tampa, Florida. We could really use your help. We have a shortfall here.

I think it’s part of the economy and things that are happening. We know that other ministries are experiencing similar things, but we want to stay on the air in your area. In order to do that, we really do need your help. We need this week about $20,000. Would you be willing to give a gift this week to help Bible Eye? You could call in and give it by credit card over the phone. I know you can mail a gift in, but we could use your help.

And of course, if not, we’ll trust that God has a reason why we will go off the air in certain areas and we hope it’s not your area. We hope that you’ll be able to continue to receive Bible Eye. We are trying to get this message out and reach as many people as we possibly can.

And we absolutely depend upon you, the listener, to help us out as our partnership is a real one. And without your help, we could not do it. Paul said, not that I desire a gift, but I desire a fruit that may abound your account. As you give and participate in getting Bible and the message is because, well, God is going to bring the fruit of this program, in fact, on your account in heaven one day you’ll find that you have a lot of reward as a result of what’s being accomplished here.

We’ve got a run, but we’ll be back tomorrow and I hope you’ll be joining us tomorrow here on Bibleline Tell your friends about the program and I’ll see you then keep looking up Jesus is coming and he’s coming very very soon God bless you.
