You’re welcome. We’re right next to the Tempe International Airport, just one block west. We’re almost ready with the brochure for the trip to Israel. We’ll leave on February 18th if you want to do the option to Egypt and Jordan and to the resort city of a lot on the Red Sea and Israeli beautiful city. And you can go just a 10-day Israel trip. And if you want to do the whole trip, it’s 15 days. If you do just the Israel portion, it’s 10 days.
And we’re going to have a great time. Now our last trip this past February, a couple of months ago, was wonderful. We never even heard a car pack fire. And we read the newspapers and we were afraid to come back to the States. I’ll tell you. It sounded like a dangerous place to go. But we braid that we got on the plane and came back to the US. But you know, it’s amazing how the news kind of plays it up.
And we never saw any violence, never really heard any noises that he shook us up. All we did was have a great time. You’re welcome to go. And if you’re interested, call us and get your name on that list. We’ll send that brochure out. We should have it within a week. I think we’re finally got it all settled down. It’s going to be great. Love the heavy go with us. Also, we have several teachings that we just finished. Second Peter Bris, I think one of the great ones.
People just love it. And it’s 10 hours of teaching on that wonderful letter of Peter. Second Peter. The first Peter, 10 hours of teaching on that. You could order these on CD or DVD. And also, guess what? We have the gospel of John, 20 hours of teaching on that. us book, the fourth gospel, you might want to get that. Also, of course, we have 40 others, the book of Revelation, the book of Daniel, and many that are by topic.
And that is we have———————————————— on the Holy Spirit, what are on parables, one on how to lead souls to Christ. That is a powerful one to actually instruct you as to how to lead someone to Christ. We got some great things in our bookstore. We have that old Scofield Bible, which you can’t get out in the Christian bookstores anymore. They sell the high bread, the watered down version you want to get the old Schofield reference Bible. And if you want to know about the modern translations you want to get the book New Age Bible Versions, about 800 pages that will just unfold everything for you.
Did you know the NIV is probably one of the worst Bibles out there and people don’t even know it and they just don’t do it. It’s identical almost to Jehovah’s Witness Bible, even the title. The Jehovah’s Witnesses is called Bible, the new translation, the NIV stands for New International Version, word for word it’s almost the same. Guess what? Both drop the same four verses in their entirety. That’s right. Did they get together? I mean, how can that be a coincidence?
Forty-four verses are totally dropped. Those witness Bible and the NIV dropped the same verses. Both attacked the doctrine of hell. Really, if you have the NIV Bible, it minimizes hell. It’s just like it doesn’t exist. My goodness, you don’t want a Bible that is so inferior, so absolutely contrary to what the Scriptures really teach. And yet people are getting it. We have the NIV quiz. Call and I’ll send it to you for free. If you give somebody the NIV quiz and they take it using their NIV Bible as the text, look at a zero.
That’s right. guess what all the questions are on the forty four verses that are not there boy does that wake him wake him up i have a lot of people tell me i’m done with my n i v once they took that quiz and realize all those verses are not even in their bible They changed their mind about being a good Bible. It’s terrible. And there are so many others out today that are just really taking us away from sound doctrine.
And that’s what the Bible said would happen in the last days. They would not… not endure sound doctrine. 2 Timothy 4-3. And that word endure, if you look it up in the Greek, means they stand against sound doctrine. And they will not put up with sound doctrine. That’s what it really means. And it’s amazing. People will defend bad doctrine and they’ll stand up against good doctrine. Oh, it’s amazing the world we’re living in in He says, Do not be deceived.
Many deceivers are going out into the world. And he says, Don’t be deceived. Well, you need to be really on guard more than ever today because these are the days that God had told about in Paul in the 2 Timothy 4, 3, says the time will come. I believe it’s come when they will not endure. That means they will not put up with. They will stand up against Sound doctrine and they won’t have their ears tickled so they go someplace where they’re entertained They feel comfortable and they’re entertained.
They’re not really that challenged and they can go back and do their things They’re in a week and yet they can say they’ve been to church on Sunday Well, guess what? That’s where we are it says in verse four of sick and timiny chapter four that they will turn away their ears from the truth That’s the word of God How many people are reading their Bible today? How many churches are teaching the Bible today? They become fewer and fewer.
The ones that do are becoming extinct like the dinosaurs. They’re going because people today want to be entertained. They want to have their ears tickled. They stand against good, solid doctrine. And that’s unfortunate. And the Bible tells us that’s what would happen. Give your Bible, get it out. We’ll take a look at some verses here today and then we’ll pick our colors We’ve got people already waiting from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and other places and we’ll get to them as soon as we can If you have your Bible open there, we’ll turn over to John’s Gospel chapter 8 and Jesus said in John 8 in verse 24 he said in John 8 24 and I just had my page stick and I couldn’t get to it.
is John 824, I said therefore unto you that you shall die in your sins, for if you believe not, believe not that I am, you shall die in your sins, this is an incredible verse. When Jesus said if you believe not that I am, he’s referring to the fact that he’s the God of the Old Testament, the God of Creation, the God of the Bible, the God that created the universe when God appeared to Moses at the burning bush, you could read it for yourself in Exodus chapter 3.
You’ll find that God identified himself to Moses by his name I am. God, whenever he intercepts time, always appears in the present tense. He never says I was. He never says I will be or I want to be. He says I am. He is the God of the Old Testament and he identifies himself there in Exodus 3 as being the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He’s the God alone that can save the God who alone created the universe.
The only God, he said there is none God, no God beside me, none other God in the universe. He is the only God. And he says here, Jesus says, if you do not believe that I am, that Jesus is God, you’re going to die in your sins. What does that mean? That all the sins that Jesus paid for, he’s the only one who has provided for your redemption. Jesus Christ took every sinricted you would ever commit in your entire lifetime.
And he paid for them at the cross of Calvary. If you die not having trusted Christ as your Savior, all of those sins will be upon you and you’ll wind up in hell. You will die in your sins. That means you will die with your sins not forgiven because you reject the provision and the forgiveness that God offers through Christ at Calvary. Wow, don’t make that mistake. I tell people to don’t believe on Christ, just don’t stop breathing. That’s right.
Don’t stop breathing. Because as soon as you stop breathing, you’re going to be a believer, but it’ll be too late. Everybody in hell believes in Jesus Christ. Did you know that? Everybody in hell believes in hell, obviously. Everybody in hell believes the Bible to be the Word of God. All you have to do is read the story in Luke 16. You have two men that die, rich men. And guess what? He all of a sudden becomes interested in prayer.
He prays for his five brethren that are still alive up on the earth and he didn’t want them to come to that place of flame and torment. He believes in evangelism. He wanted somebody to go, Lazarus in particular to go witness to his brothers. He didn’t want them to die and be lost eternally. He believed in the scriptures. He believed that the writings of Moses and the Old Testament prophets were the Word of God, all of that too late.
He believed in the punishment that will come upon the loss as he was in flame and torment. He recognized that salvation was something that God provided that he had rejected and would be separated from God forever and ever and ever. My friend don’t make that mistake. If you’re listening and you’re not sure about where you’re going to spend eternity, you probably don’t have it. You’re probably not going. Let me just summarize what it is. God says we’re all sinners.
Every one of us have sinned and have come short of the glory of God. The Bible says if you paid for that sin it would be hell. There is no other payment. That’s right. You can’t put it on your MasterCard or reason. You can’t pay for it by your works or good deeds. You can’t pay for it by being religious or going to church. There’s only one pay for sin. The wages of sin according to the Bible is death, which ultimately means the second death will you be cast into the eternal lake a fire.
My friend, you don’t want to pay for your sin. But guess what? God provided a Savior Jesus Christ paid your sin debt in full by His death and shed blood at the cross. And when you simply receive that payment by faith, trusting that Christ died for you, that He is God who came in order that He might redeem us. And trust that He shed His blood on the cross for your sins was buried in rose again from the dead God saves you.
Wow. And you know there’s no greater story in all the world. I’ve had two funerals this past week and I’ve had dozens and dozens get saved. What a great opportunity when people are facing death and realize, wow, I’m going to die too. And if you don’t know where you’re going when you die, you probably don’t have eternal life. The Bible says when you trust Christ at that moment you receive eternal life and you can actually know that you’re going to heaven.
From that moment on, 1st John 513, let me give it to you, it is the written guarantee verse. This is so good, you ought to write it on anything, write it on the wall, write it on your arm, write it on your shirt. You don’t want to, if you don’t have any to write on, write it on something, draw it on the wall. But it says these things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that you may know K-N-O-W, not hope, not guess, not perhaps, not maybe, but that you may know that you have H-A-V-E, present tense verb that you possess right now at the moment of belief, eternal life.
Let me quote that verse again, 1 John 5, 13. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that you may know KNOW that you have present tense eternal life. Oh that’s good news. I’m Dr. Ankerine Kinsztrem. This is Bible and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church. We’re going to go to Eric. He’s in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and been very patiently in waiting here to come up on the air and Eric welcome to Bible on your own ear.
Oh, how you doing? Yes. God bless you. Thank you for accepting my call. I believe that we’re the generation that will seek Christ’s return. And I’m just wondering how come more churches are the not bearing people’s for this event because I do believe that we’re the generation that’s going to seek Christ’s return? Well you’re absolutely right Eric, and you know the sad part is, is that they’ve come out of their cemeteries. seminaries with bad doctrine. They really don’t believe Christ is going to come back.
This is called replacement theology and praterism where most of the churches that came out of the Reformation followed the lead of the Roman Catholic Church in teaching that God was through with Israel, that the church has replaced Israel and that Christ has already returned in AD 70. The Roman Catholic Church teaches that. And they teach that when the Romans came against Jerusalem in AD 70, that’s when Christ came back. Of course nobody saw him. And they believe the tribulation period was the period from AD 64 to AD 70.
They believe the Antichrist was Nero. And they believe that what the Bible talks about future things has already happened. And that’s the problem. They are not taking their Bibles literally and they’re not studying the Bible and so we have a boom, a time when the preachers don’t even believe it. Oh wow, because I’m telling you, I even feel like even in my own church I feel like displacing in a sense because I’m not really getting anything out of the service and I hate to say I’m just going through the motions.
And I read my Bible every day, I even ordered your Bible, the new one, I mean not the new one, but the new King James Version to Schofield. Because at first I was reading the NIB, then I was talking, I got rid of the NIB, and then I had the Nelson King James Day Bible, and now I’m waiting on your Bible, the scope of the new King James Bible that’s coming to me now. So I’m going to study from that because I really want to get into, and I’m trying to find me, really into the Word of God that’s going to really take this very, very serious about a generation that’s going to see his return, and more churches need to wake up and get out of this world if you will or look at it looking at the signs of the time because he is coming and i’m trying and and and i think i’m crazy
well i don’t know if you know the truth that you almost feel like you want to stand up and shout you know yeah wake up people and and the bible basically says that it says wake up in Romans 13 it says that the day is coming closer for christ return and it says wake up We need to wake up out of sleep and get going and start serving and do all we can do. Dr. Hank Lindstrom. I’m not a date setter, but while the world is really headed on a collision course with Jesus coming back.
Oh, man, it just blows my mind. It just blows my mind. I mean, we could just look around. That’s the, I mean, the sounds of the time, it’s clear as day. And it’s like, I mean, when I have open things are happening with our eyes open. I’m not looking for no Pacific Antichrist, but I’m telling you this here. I’m looking for the day of our Lord’s return. That’s what I’m looking for. And up. I’m trying to stay in his body but I know I’m trying to teach my family I’m trying to get them to see and even even though My friends and other folks think that like I said a big I’m crazy But I’m trying to tell them you know I tell some people to think maybe I’m a nut I say look I may be enough, but I’m screwed to the right bolt
Right you’re right Well, I that was that was my main thing. We’ll to say that because I’ve been I’ve been Wandering and I’ve been asking I think what I even like I got good at other church and and it’s like Well, let’s get ready for it mothers day here. We got church building days There’s no the building fun and give you thousand offering there’s nothing wrong with none of those things You know you you know you need to get right just get ready Are they planning for Mother’s Day next year?
Because it’s already passed. We’re coming up on policy. Eric, that place, we’ll be praying for you. And I’m glad you’re able to hear us up there every day on the station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Oh, you’re welcome. You’re welcome. And I’m making my commitment to become a partner with your ministry. I have to continue on what you’re doing and wake folks up. Thank you, Eric. That was Eric in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We now have Adam in Denver, Colorado and Denver. Here we are.
Welcome to Bible Hello. Hi Adam. Adam are you there? Hello? Hello. Hi Adam you don’t hear me? Hi. You’re on here. I don’t know if you can hear me. I can hear you. I do have a question. If you wouldn’t mind answering for me. the verses in Matthew chapter 12 verses 43 through 45. I had someone say that if you fall out of God’s grace that it’s harder to give the seven times harder and I was like well where does it say that in the Bible and they couldn’t quote it for me and I was wondering I found this passage and I was wondering if this was the passage that Joe were looking for.
Did you explain it to me? Alright, well this is talking about somebody who’s unsaved who is demon in dwelt and it says in verse 43, when the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walking through the dry places seeking rest and finding none. That’s the demon. And so guess what? He says, I’m going to go back to my house. That’s the body that he was indwelling from once I came out. And when he comes back, he finds it empty, swept and garnished.
Then he goes and he takes William VII other demons, more wicked than himself. And the latter state of that man is worse than at the beginning. So obviously this is talking about an unsaved person. A true believer can never be indwelt by a demon because God the Holy Spirit comes and takes up residence in our body. And it says in 1 John 4 4, greater is he that is in you, that’s the Holy Spirit, or Christ, than he Satan that is in the world.
There is no demon that wants to live in the same body with Jesus Christ. So obviously you can’t be indwelt once you become saved. So that’s what it’s talking about and it has nothing to do with what you were saying. People amaze me what they can come out of a passage that’s not even close to the real meaning. And usually that tells me maybe they don’t know the Lord. In 1 Corinthians 2, 14 it says the unsaved man, the unborn again man, the unregenerate man, receive it not in the things of the Spirit of God, they’re foolishness to him.
Neither can he know them so they just don’t make any sense out of the Bible. Miami, we’re so glad to be on the air down there with you. Thank you for listening down there every day. Again, we need your prayers and your support so that we can not only stay on the station down in Miami, but extend it to the full hour. Give us a call. Maybe you could give a gift by credit card and help Miami stay on the air with Bible and.
I hope that helps Adam. And thank you for your call. Apparently Adam is already off the air. And we have an anonymous caller from Jacksonville, Florida. and anonymous welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air yes good morning doctor lintstrom I’m going to ask my question and hopefully you’ll be able to give it for break. I’m in the car driving if I don’t have the Bible verse on me right now, but second thessalonians. I don’t remember what chapter, but it’s verse one through eight and I was pushing over the Internet lately this past weekend.
I’m someone on a website by somebody that did a thing called the Rapturefairy.com and I was reading what he was saying about that and he was saying that there is no rapture before the tribulation. and he said if we would read our Bible in 2nd Thessalonians 1-8 where it talks about the abomination, the apostasy and everything being set up that these things won’t happen until we see the apostasy which is the church actually worshiping Satan and then also something about we won’t be raptured out here until after he revealed himself.
That confused me and I listen to you every day and I was getting the point where I’m part to believe in the rapture, but then suddenly he points that out to me that there is no pre-tribulation rapture and we should read the part where it says until the abomination is revealed none of us will be taken out of here. So can you please explain that and I’ll hang up. And the next thing is that you find out about the new century version by before we read my Mac potato.
Thank you. Okay. Thank you. That’s a terrible translation. I wouldn’t give it to anybody. And if you have it, just keep it hidden someplace. Anyway, we’ll catch that question right after the break. So keep listening up there in Jacksonville as we are coming up hard and fast on our break and we have to go to that break. So I hope you’ll continue to listen. Again, pray for Bibleline and we’re in a new month and we can certainly use your help because we are totally dependable on our listeners for our support and your prayers and your gifts will keep Bibleline going and growing.
Give us a call and we’re going to go to break and come right back and do a second half hour. So don’t go away. I’m Dr. England’s from it. will be right back after the short break. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and it’s great to be with you. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We’re excited about entering the summertime and summertime. Sometimes people sit back and say, well, we don’t do anything near the summer spiritually.
That’s wrong thinking. This is a great time. time of opportunity and we’re of course trying to max it out. We by the way on our summer camp if you have teens have about 25 spots to fill up the camp. So you can send your teenager and I guarantee you they’re going to get a lot of Bible as well as have a great time on a beautiful lake in central Florida and there’ll be lots of wonderful activities. Well we are living in the last days, no doubt about it, and it’s evidenced by the things we see around us.
The signs are everywhere, the return of Christ, and we don’t know when He’s coming, but we know He’s coming. In the meantime,187 we’ve really got to maximize our efforts in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to as many as possible. We have the book, the book, handbook to personal evangelism, which this book will tell you how to share the Gospel with somebody else. You can do it very easily. Simply, we also have a 10-hour teaching on CD. This is called, again, How to Win Someone to Christ.
We also have the wonderful tracks that allow you to get into a conversation and just stay right on track and leave that soul of Christ. You might want to order some of those things from our Resource Center. We have the Scofield Bible, we have it in English, we also have it in Spanish. We also have Bible dictionaries and commentaries and concordances and numerous other books that will be of real value to you as you study your Bible and share the Gospel with others.
We’re getting ready to go maybe on another trip to Israel, but if the Lord doesn’t snatch us out this year, we’re going to plan to go in February. We’ll leave the 23rd if you want to do just the 10-day Israel only and if you want to do the full 15-day trip including Egypt and Jordan and the beautiful city of Elot on the Red Sea and Israeli City, a resort city you can call up and we’ll send out that brochure to you.
Get on our list at least, doesn’t obligate you but you can call and say, Hey, I’m interested. Would you get me the brochure sent out to my house? We’ll do that and if you want a resource sheet on our resources at our Resource Center You can get that and of course a lot of things you’ll find right there on our internet site BibleLineMinistries.org Including our radio when you click on the spinning globe or TV when you click on the TV set our worship services when you click on the camera and You’ll get it all if you just turn there.
We’re gonna now do the second half of my blind so Stay tuned. We’ll be right there. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we are going to be talking a little bit about our camp coming up. This is Bible and we’re back from the break and we have a great camp coming up for teens. June 23rd through 28th, you can send your child.
We have 25 spots left. I was just told a minute ago, so if you have a teen and you want them to go to camp, they’ll get a lot of Bible. I guarantee you it will transform their lives and we are excited about it. So give us a call, we’ll give you the information about our summer teen camp, June 23rd through the 28th in the heart of Florida. And it’s a beautiful lake setting, nice air conditioned cabins overlooking the lake.
And great camp food, as great as camp food can be. And a lot of good Bible and you’ll have your teen will have a great time. Anyway, we’re so glad to be with you today. Thanks again for tuning in to the Bible and program. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. From our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church and that’s where I’m the pastor. You’re welcome to come by and join us anytime you’re in the area or if you live in the area come on by and see us.
For the next two Sundays we’re going to be eating after the worship service. We have a fundraiser dinner for the teens through the camp this Sunday that will be a special homemade Italian dinner. Oh, it’s going to be great. And all you have to do is come to the worship service, come to the dinner, and just give a donation that will help the kids go to camp and eat up and enjoy a great homemade Italian dinner. The following week is our third Sunday regular monthly dinner where we all bring different items.
We’ve got some great cooks and everybody brings their favorite home-cooked dishes. And we will eat, and not when you don’t have to bring anything. If you just come and be my guest on the third Sunday dinner, just come and eat. and bring your appetite and your Bible and your family and join us. And if you want to come this next Sunday, the second Sunday in June, we also will have that dinner which you just give a donation to help kids go to camp and enjoy the service and stay for dinner.
So two Sundays in a row here we’re going to be able to eat right after the morning worship service. The service is at 1030. You can come and stay then and eat with us. This is coming Sunday for a donation too. to help kids to go to camp for the third Sunday come and just bring your appetite and be my guest and stay and enjoy. And that summer camp is coming up. We just informed we have 25 spots left to fill.
It’s filling up fast. If you have a team, you can call about the information and maybe we can have your team go with us to this summer camp right in the heart of Florida on a beautiful lake and it’ll be a great time. I’ll tell you. Alright, we have a number of callers and some are waiting and have been very patient and we have the caller from Jackson, who was asking about 2nd Thessalonians and about the rapture. That passage by the way, that website you went to is totally wrong, is actually talking about the rapture in verse 3.
It talks there about a departure. The Greek word is departure, and if you take it that the departure is from the word of God, then that would be apostasy, which is apparently what this guy is talking about. But it really is the departure of the church. It’s the Rapture in verse 3 of 2nd, Pussellonian’s chapter 2. And we find that proofed a little bit further down in the text when it says, he that now hinders iniquity in this world is going to be taken out and when he is taken out that’s the Holy Spirit in every one of us believers when the Holy Spirit goes we go and so when he that is now hindering iniquity in this world the Holy Spirit in us as believers as we’re the salt of the earth we’re the light of the world in the absence of Christ being here when the
Holy Spirit goes we go and then the tribulation period will begin and the Antichrist will be revealed and then it says in verse 8 that Jesus then will come back back in the second coming seven years later and destroy that wicked one, the Antichrist, with the brightness of his coming and he’ll be cast into hell forever. So obviously it gets it wrong. That chapter really is a proof text for the pre-tribulation of Rapture. The departure. The same word is used over in Philippians where Paul said he had a desire to depart and be with Christ, but that it was far better for him to remain around and teach and instruct and win souls to Christ.
But he really was, he said in a straight between two thoughts. He wanted to go to heaven, which would be far better, but he realized that the Lord wanted him to stay around and continue to minister to people in the gospel of Christ. Tons of collars all of our lines are lighted up. We’re gonna go now to George in Palm Harbor, Florida, and Let’s see here And I think I got two collars up on the line at the same time.
George are you there? Just Tony. I’m sorry. Okay. Hold on Tony George are you there and Let’s see George Are you there? I I don’t know what happened here. I think I hung both of these fellows up. Let’s go ahead and start all over with them. We’re going to go to Monica in Bradenton, Florida. Monica, welcome to Bible Hint. Hi, Dr. Lester. How are you? Good. My question is about fasting. I wanted to know, like, what if you’ve had for not heating, are you allowed to drink water?
You’ve got to have water. Yeah, even if you fast, you got to take your liquid or you become dehydrated. You get yourself in trouble real quick. But fasting is something that we all do every day. We don’t really think about it. But if you go to sleep at night, you wake up in the morning, what’s the name of the first meal you eat? It’s called break fast or breakfast. So everybody’s fasting, whether they are planning to do so or not, whenever you don’t eat, you’re fasting.
And when you start eating again, you’re breaking the fast. and breakfast is the first meal to break the fast. Actually what happens when your stomach is a little bit empty, your other senses are heightened and you’re much more alert and it’s a great way to be when you’re reading the Bible or praying or seeking out God’s will rather than do that on a big stomach. You know what happens on a Thanksgiving afternoon? You have that great big Thanksgiving meal and everybody just becomes kind of sleepy and everybody’s kind of laying around.
And that’s because their stomachs are full and all the blood in your body is working on getting that food digested. And so your brain is really left a little bit dull. And I learned this early on when I was in college, I learned that if I ate a meal just before I took a test, I would do poorly. So I learned to eat two to three hours before I would take a test or an exam and I found myself doing much better.
And I still practice that. Before I preach or before I go on radio, I like to eat two or three hours before. So the mind is much more alert and much more in tune with what’s going on. Then if I ate a big meal just before I went on radio or before I preached a sermon. And so that’s fasting. And if you want to fast for a longer period of time, that’s fine, but you need to certainly take you in liquid.
But there’s no great mystery about fasting. It’s basically you’re more spiritually and physically attuned to the world around you when your stomach’s a little bit empty. And the Bible, you know, some people make a big deal out of it and Jesus warned about that. He says, don’t go around and brag that you fast and don’t make your faces look like you’re going to drop dead because you haven’t been eating and you’re fasting and you’re more spiritual than somebody else.
That’s not the point. The point is it’s a physiological thing that we all know about that when we eat we get dull. Our minds we get sleepy but if you have a little bit hungry you’re much more alert and your senses are heightened and you’re much able, better able to discern the Word of God and to seek out God’s will and let God speak to you. Okay. Monica, I hope that helps. Yes, sir. Thank you very much. You’re very welcome.
That was Monica down in Bradenton, Florida. We’re now going to go to Tony in Richmond, Virginia. And I think we lost Tony before Tony. Hey. You’re there. Hey, I just encountered somebody tried to witness to me. They asked me the exact same questions about that today. Where would I go? Of course, I had to them all. And we got to the, I said, oh, let me ask you one more question. And then I asked to take a look at the salvation because of course they do it.
So we got to talk and the guy told me I wasn’t quite there yet and then they prayed for me. But I found out he was a Greek Orthodox. I know I’ll run into him again. Can you give me something? What you really need to know is if they say they can lose it, they’re really saying they are working to keep it. That means salvation by works and therefore they’re not saved. I just always say, look, let’s just stop for a minute.
Let me see if I’ve got it right. You’re telling me that if from this point on, till the day you die, if you live the Christian life, you’re good at heaven. They’ll usually say, absolutely. Then I go back to them and say, you’re telling me now that if I start off right now and then I don’t live for Christ and I die, I’ll go to hell and they’ll say, yeah, that’s right. And I said, anyway, you cut that. You’re talking about what you do between now and death will determine whether you’re saved or not.
And that makes you the Savior. It makes salvation based on works. And you’re not saved according to the Bible because you’re not saved by works. Ephesians 2 and 9 said it’s not of works, lest any man should boast or brag. So these people are not saved and they’re working their way to heaven, but they don’t even realize sometimes that they’re trusting in their work. You have to kind of bring it out of them by illustrating it for them. They’re really saying that what they do in their future, and here’s the real test that everybody has to ask if you’re wanting to discern one of the messages correct or not.
yourself. Is there something that if you do or do not do in your future will determine your salvation? And that’s works. The true message always takes the loss of the dying sinner and takes you back to the cross of Calvary where Jesus said it’s finished. It’s done. He’s paid for. And so the true message says it’s done. Christ has paid for your sins and he offers it free and it’s a gift and he saves you forever. The false plan of salvation always take you to look into the future and what you do or do not do to determine your salvation.
That’s salvation of my works. It is a false message. Thank you so much for calling in today, Tony. We now have Chris and plant City, Florida. Chris, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Good morning, Dr. Hank. How are you doing this morning? Good. Good. I have two things this morning. One is a statement and the other is a question. The statement I wouldn’t tell you that the word God is getting out around the world, not only through Bibleline but also through my brother’s website.
He’s doing that is when people go People go to his website if they want to order your CD and they can’t afford it. He actually sent it to them for free and he sent some to Zimbabwe, China, South Africa. So it’s literally getting sent all around the world. Isn’t that wonderful? He’s got a great testimony on that site. It’s actually… Catholic to the number two, right? Right, Christian.com. Yeah, it’s really a great site. And now my question is, in the scripture about it names Lazarus but it doesn’t name the rich man do you think that’s because i’m on the right track or that’s very possible but certainly i think that doesn’t name the unsaved is not necessary for us to know their names as believers we’re going to see last breath but we’re not going to see this which man he’s uh…
he’s uh… going to be lost forever and uh… that doesn’t give us the names now uh… there is a pocket for literature that gives him a name they i think they call him demons but uh… there is no name in scripture for him so The reason why is left unknown, but you might be on the right track because as an unbeliever, at the moment of death, your name is stricken from the book, and so his name is not there.
Well, very good. What you said. Thank you, Chris. That’s great. And your brother’s website is a great one. It’s catholictheChristian.com. Absolutely. Now, God bless you and your ministry. I can have a great day. Thank you. and sends out our CD, how permanent is your salvation to those that inquire that can’t afford it and he’s apparently sent them to many other countries. We have Carl and he’s in Tampa, Florida. Carl, welcome to my blind, you’re on the air. Faster, Hank.
And let me ask, you know, the buff, I don’t know what they talked about, the God is a consuming fire. There’s a strong that I hear some people singing in this called your fire fall down on us. We pray. and i think that you’re going to buy like the fire of the holy gold served fired up for god uh… but but doesn’t doesn’t really resonate with me on that your fire fall down on us we think it talked to me a little bit about that you’re absolutely right and what they’re trying to do is repeat what happened on the day of pentecost when the holy spirit came to all the believers and it says there was a sound as of uh…
a mighty rushing wind and then there was these cloven tongues of fire that came down on each of the believers at Pentecost. That has never been repeated. And of course, they’re trying to, that’s what we call a Pentecostal. Sigh. He’s not the real assailant. He says, you’re in the plan. You have no fear. You’re in the plan. I’m in the plan. I’m in the plan. He’s in the plan. He’s lying on our streets. Jesus will never. You’re in the plan.
I’m in the plan. Jesus will not be repeated. Jesus will never go to the cross again. He’ll never come back from the dead again. That’s already done and passed. And the Pentecost will never happen again. And yet they’re trying to repeat it. And of course, they sing about it and pray for it. But it doesn’t happen. I’ve never heard of any meeting where fire is coming down on the audience. And of course that only happened at Pentecost. But the tragedy is that the fire of hell is awaiting the unbeliever.
And when it talks about Christ and Matthew 3 and other places where Christ would baptize with fire, it’s talking about those that are lost being cast into the eternal lake of fire where the soul will never die and the fire will never be quenched. If you read that in Matthew chapter 3 in verse 11 and 12, it says that he will thoroughly purges forth and the chafe of the harvest, the unwanted, the unsaved will be cast into a furnace of fire and they will be weeping in the ash of teeth.
So you don’t want the baptism of fire, but I think it’s just bad theology. They just aren’t careful to discern what they’re reading in the scripture and teaching it right. So thank you for that call, but you’re right. God is a consuming fire, and all those that are lost will be consumed in that fire forever in the eternal hell, the eternal lake of fire. Well, we have anonymous back. I don’t know, maybe we didn’t cover that thoroughly enough. And so we are back, I guess, to second this line.
Yeah, I’m sorry about this again. Dr. Lynch, I just really don’t understand the part where the guy was trying to say about first of all, he was saying the church will not be removed until the antichrist, which is the devil himself, reveals himself first. I mean he points out the word to him. He says first he will do that and then I don’t understand that. Let’s stop and take a look here. In verse 3 it says in 2nd plus the Lord in chapter 2, let no man deceive you by any means for that day shall not come.
That’s the tribulation period, except to come a falling away first. The phrase falling away in the Greek is a word that means departure. And that departure is going to happen first, and then the antichrist will be revealed, the son of perdition. And then if you read further down though, it says in verse 7, the mystery of iniquity, doth already work. Only he and this he in verse 7 is the Holy Spirit, who now hindreth sin in this world will continue to hinder sin until he be taken out of the way.
And then the antichrist will be revealed. So that’s when the Holy Spirit leaves. When he leaves, we leave. This is the rapture in verse 3. The departure is the departure of the one who is hindering iniquity in this world in us believers. And so when the Holy Spirit goes we go, that’s the departure he’s talking about. This guy is trying to say it’s a departure from doctrine and it’s apostasy and obviously he’s wrong. If you read the context of the passage it is the departure of the Holy Spirit as it says here in verse 6, the one who now is over seven, the mystery of iniquity that already worked, only he, the Holy Spirit, who now, hindereth iniquity, will continue to hinder iniquity till he be taken out of the way.
When he goes, we go. Then it says that wicked one, the Antichrist will be revealed. So as soon as we depart, that’s when the Antichrist will be revealed. So as soon as we go, the Antichrist will come on the scene and attempt to rule the world. Yeah, well, I had gotten really confused because he was trying to make it sound as if the outcry should be revealed first before the church would be removed the way he’s uh… you know you know that around it really confused me and i know god is not a god of confusion so either way i’m happy to go with jesus when he’s ready for me well he is tell me also quickly to have to get that why the end of the new century version by max potato you found was not good i’ll hang up now thank you have a good day sir it’s again one of the worst translations out
there it’s actually the new century version and uh… it’s terrible now i i got one of the it’s been offered by twenty-something years and is it i got a copy and uh… man alive i would give that to anybody i mean it is that very watered down and uh… not a real accurate translation uh… if you really want to study all these translations you got it what are the book new age bible versions and they will cover all of these they just They just, Satan has done an amazing attack on the Word of God today.
You know, Jesus is the living word and the Bible is the written word and we find that Satan is attacking both. Not only Jesus the living word but also the written word and in second Peter we find that Peter tells us that’s one of the things that would happen as we approach the Lord’s return is that the Word of God would be under attack. And that’s why it was such a wonderful course that it equips us to be able to withstand this attack that’s happening today on the Bible.
As we began the program we talked about, what’s happening in churches is that they would not endure sound doctrine. And the word endure from the Greek means that they would stand up against sound doctrine and they would not put up with sound doctrine. And people will argue all day long against sound doctrine. And that’s what you’re experiencing there. sound doctrine is that we don’t go through the tribulation period. You have the rapture in verse 3 and you have the second coming in verse 8 and the tribulation period is in the middle.
And you have the rise of the antichrist after the rapture and at the second coming Christ destroys the antichrist. It’s all right there in the proper order and how he could get it so mixed up. And this verse 7 that tells us about the Holy Spirit, that’s the only one that he could be. The Holy Spirit is now hindering iniquity in this world is going to be taken out and when he goes we go because he involves us permanently and so the church is raptured out verse 3.
The Antichrist is revealed in verse 3 and 4 and then we have Christ coming back at the end of the tribulation verse 8 and destroying Antichrist with the brightness of his coming. So it’s all there, it’s pretty clear and the fellow is all messed up. Alright, we’re now going to go to Geno in Tampa, Florida and you know welcome to Bible I hear on the air. Okay, how you doing? I’m calling to ask about where in the Bible does it say that there are levels of like heaven, hell, as every woman.
It’s your work, for instance, if the more works you do and all the works does not take you to heaven or take you to heaven is your belief your belief in not Jesus Christ but what is it say about our your pet your pet lawyer yes and I’m going to have him listen okay do you know the believer goes to heaven the unbeliever goes to hell the difference is whether or not they believe or trust on Christ or reject Christ that’s John 3 18 it makes it very clear he believes is not condemned but the one who does not believe is condemned already because he has not believe.
Now, all believers will stand in a judgment, and here’s the verse. 1 Corinthians 3, 11 through 15. Their believers’ works will be examined, and it will be determined what degree of reward they will receive in heaven. Very clear. Then, if you go to Revelation chapter 20, verse 11 through 15, Revelation 20 verses 11 through 15, it describes what happens to the unbeliever. And this judgment occurs a thousand years later. Revelation 20 verse 5 says, the rest of the dead, the unsaved dead, did not live until the thousand years were finished.
And at the end of the thousand years you have this judgment called the Great White Throne Judgment, named by that because of verse 11, where Revelation 20 verse 11 through 15 described the unsaved being brought up small and great, all the different levels of society, kings and slaves and everybody in the whole world that is an unsafe person will stand before God. Their works will be examined and it will be determined the degree of punishment and hell. And then verse 14 says they will be cast into the lake of fire and this is the second death.
That’s when they are separated from God forever and ever and ever in the eternal lake of fire. So there you have it. First Corinthians 3, 11 through 15 and then Revelation chapter 20 11 to 15 talks about the believers being judged for works to determine degree of reward or loss of reward Unbelievers being judged by their works to determine the degree of punishment in hell Okay, do you know I hope that helps and we’ve had some wonderful colors today and lots of great questions Let me remind you again.
We’re gonna have dinners here at our church for the next two Sundays if you’re in the area you’re welcome to come and eat with us after the 1030 service. Also, we have a summer camp committed for teens. Apparently, we have 25 spots still open, and I’m sure they’re going to go quickly if you have a teen and you’re interested, Colin will be glad to fill you in on how to get them to get to this camp. It’ll be great, lots of Bible and lots of good fun.
It’s a beautiful campsite. white sand around a beautiful Clearwater lake in the heart of Florida and it’ll be great. Let us know. Also we’re thinking about Israel. We want you to call and get on the list to get a brochure. Also Bibleline is listed as a ported. If you haven’t given to Bibleline, this is the month of June, we need help all over again. And each but this is what happens. Praise the Lord. Somehow we’re still on the air.
This is a miracle. I really amaze and how God has provided to keep us going. And thank God for all of you who give and make Bibleline possible. Call. You can give, give, give, give, give. My credit card over the phone or call and ask for an unload to be sent and you can mail your gift in. And as Eric from Pittsburgh said, he’s going to be a partner with us and help keep us on here in Pittsburgh. And that’s what we need in every area, in every city where this program is heard.
If you could help us, if everybody gave a little bit, we’d have enough. And we’d be able to continue on every station that we’re on. Please do consider praying for us daily and also give a gift. If you haven’t trusted Christ, you need to do that. Just tell the Lord Lord I’m a sinner and I trust Jesus alone as the Savior who died for me and trust Him in the saving God will. We got a run. Keep looking up.
Jesus is coming and I’m Dr. England St. say goodbye for today, but we’ll be back again tomorrow Lord willing. So join me then. You’ve been listening to Bibleline. Well, I’m Dr. Angelina Lindstrom and we’ve had a great time being with you today. Thanks for tuning in on Monday, the first Monday in June. And we’re excited about what’s ahead in the summer. We’ve got all kinds of things going on. we hope that the Bible will be a blessing to you over the summer and wherever you might be, even if you go on vacation, if you have a computer, you’re able to listen wherever you might be and also catch our worship services live wherever you might be in the world.
That’s exciting. Would you pass that word along to your friends? If you have friends overseas in other countries, maybe missionaries or family or people in military, let them know how they can tune in to Bible and radio, listen to the programs as often as they like, they can watch our television programs and watch our worship services anywhere in the world. That’s exciting and we have responses from all over creation as people are doing that. Also you can go to our online bookstore and see the resources we have in order directly off of our resource center on the internet.
One of the new additions we have is by blind music for children. If you go to our online bookstore and you click on that, every page on the bookstore has a vertical banner on the right side. You click on that and it will take you to our music section and you’ll get to listen to the six different CDs that we offer there and you could type in the name of your child, grandchild, and if you were nice. And you can actually sample hearing the songs with your child or grandchild’s name in that song.
If you get one of these, their name will be repeated some 45 times in that CD. It has impacted my granddaughter tremendously. 30 months old, she loves all these songs, wants to sing them all the time and loves to hear her name as we play it. So she’ll listen to it again and again and again because it talks about her and how special she is and how God loves her. Hope you’ll check that out. I’ve got a run. We’ll be back again tomorrow, Lord willing.
In the meantime, keep looking up. Jesus is coming. I’m Dr. Englund from saying goodbye for today. We’ll be back again tomorrow, Tuesday. Join me then. Would you? Take care and have a great day.
