Welcome to the Bibleline broadcast and we’d love to hear from you to know that you’re hearing the program. If you have a question you’re welcome to ask that and bring it up on the air. If you have your Bible there, get it out. You’ll find that it’s a wonderful book and we’re going to turn to the book of Romans. And we are going to turn to chapter 4 of the book of Romans.

And here we have the Apostle Paul bringing up Abraham as an example of salvation for all men who have ever lived. What a great passage this is. Romans chapter 4 beginning in verse 1, it says, What shall we say then that Abraham our Father as pertaining to the flesh has found? Here was one of the great heroes of the Bible, and what did he find that he accomplished with the works done in his body? Well it says in verse 2, If Abraham were justified by works, if Abraham were justified by works, he hath where of the glory it says, but not before God, but not before God.

Those last words are very important. I hope you marked them in your Bible, but not before God. Four words, but not before God. In other words, Abraham, by his works, would have glory before men, but not before God. Abraham’s works, and he’s one of the greats of the Bible, could never have gotten him one inch closer to heaven because nobody can be saved by their works. The Bible tells us that our human works are all filthy rags in God’s sight, and that none of us are deserving of or could earn our way into heaven.

And it says here in verse 2, what did Abraham find out? Verse 1, verse 2 says, If Abraham were justified by works, he hath wear of the glory, but not before God. And then it says, what sayeth the scripture? The scripture is only, is always the final authority. I’m not the authority nor is your church nor is there any church body that’s the authority nor any church council that ever sat. It is the word of God itself. These are God’s words in this book, 66 books making up one book, the Bible, and this is the word of God.

And that’s the authority. And here it says in verse three, what’s say of the scripture? What does the scriptures say? It quotes here from Genesis chapter 15 verse 6, and this is how Abraham was saved. It says, Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now, it didn’t say here he believed in God, which of course he did. He believed in God, but it says he believed God. That means he believed what God told him, and obviously he acted upon that belief, and He trusted in the Savior that would come.

If you read Genesis 15, it’s all about the promised seed. We find in the book of Galatians chapter 3 that seed was singular, talking about one person, Galatians 3.16 says that seed is Christ. Abraham believed that Jesus Christ would come into this world and physically he would take on flesh of his lineage. He would be a descendant of Abraham through Isaac, through Jacob, and through Jacob’s son Judah, as Jesus came out of the tribe of Judah and took on human flesh and became our Savior.

But he is God who came and took on flesh. And it tells us here that Abraham believed that promise. Abraham believed God, and God counted his belief or his trust in Christ for righteousness. So everyone was saved by faith without works. I remember leading my first guide in Israel on my first trip. I’ve been fifteen times and Ward willing we’ll get to go a sixteenth time this coming year. But you know on that first trip I had a wonderful guide and he was Jewish.

had escaped therazil as a teenager fled from the uh… the holocaust and uh… in israel was there prior to the state of israel becoming a nation and uh… told me that i said would you like to be saved the way a braham was and he said yes and i said yes what uh… how was a braham saying and he said by keeping the Ten Commandments. I said wrong. You know, the Ten Commandments didn’t come along until Moses, 430 years after Abraham, and I shared with him Genesis 15-6 how Abraham believed God, and it was kind of the right righteousness.

Well, my friend Simon became saved, and we’ve become great friends over the years ever since. In fact, he’s visited me here in the States twice, I have stayed in his home and enjoyed their meals, they’re right there in Tel Aviv in their home. We’ve got to know each other real well. He became a believer as the Scriptures pointed out how Abraham was saved. He was saved by faith. Now in verse 4 it says, Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace or mercy, but of death.

So in other words, as long as you’re working to be saved, You’re not going to be saved because all you’re doing is incurring debt because your works will not pay for any sin. The Bible says in chapter 6 of Romans, the wages of sin is death. So the only pay for sin is death. It doesn’t say the wages of sin is water baptism, church membership, The Bible is not a Christian life. Water baptism will not pay for sin. The Christian life will not pay for your sin.

Nothing that you do of yourself would ever pay for your sin. The wages is death which ultimately means separation from God in hell forever and ever and ever. Revelation 20 verse 14 defines the second death as being cast into hell. It’s the separation of your soul from God forever in hell. And obviously you don’t want to have that option. So it says in verse 4, If you are working to be saved, now to him that worketh as a reward, not reckoned of mercy or grace, but of debt.

So as long as you are working, your sin debt is not being reduced. In the meantime you are committing more sins, and so you are more indebted and you are in worse shape than you were when you started. But here is verse 5. What an incredible verse here in Romans chapter 4, but to him that worketh not, but to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifyeth the ungodly. His faith is counted for righteousness. What a great verse.

Notice there are three things here. Number one, to be saved, you have to meet the conditions. Number one, you have to recognize you cannot work to be saved. But secondly, believe on Christ who justifies the ungodly and the moment you trust on Christ, God saves you. And it says here in the last, the result is that God will count your faith in Christ for righteousness. So you become made righteous in God’s sight when you put your trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior.

So what a wonderful verse it is. To him that worketh not. I like the saying that Dr. M.R. Dahan gave many years ago. I used to love to listen to him as he founded the radio Bible class and taught on the radio and I listened to him as a unbeliever. And he said that God will not save a man who is trying to be saved. Boy, that caught me in my tracks and I stopped and thought about that and I said, what is going on?

God will not save a man who is trying to be saved. But then he went on and said, he will only save a man who is trusting to be saved. So that’s the answer. As long as you’re trying to be saved, you cannot be saved. You have to stop trying. You have to recognize you cannot work your way to heaven. And here the Bible says in verse 5, to him that does not work, to him that works if not, but would believe or trust on Jesus who justifies the ungodly, his faith in Christ is counted for righteousness.

That is obviously incredible news. I was shocked when I first saw this verse in the Bible. I couldn’t believe it because I had been taught works all of my life from zero to 18 years of age until I finally saw these verses in scripture and I said, wow, This is incredible. This is so different than what I had been taught. That I had always been led to believe that works were the ticket in to heaven. That if you had more good works than bad works, you’d get in.

If you had more bad works than good works, you wouldn’t get in. I said, that’s pretty simple, and I understood the plan, but that was not what the Bible taught. The Bible says in Romans 4-5, to him that work if not, but believeth on him that justify it to him, Godly, that’s Jesus. His faith in Jesus would be counted for righteousness and the person is saved based upon that. What is so wonderful here? It says in verse 6, even David in the Old Testament, the prophet David, the king David that we read about in the Old Testament, it says even as David also describes the blessedness or the happiness of the man under whom God imputed righteousness and it says here, without works.

David described how we were saved by faith without works in trusting Jesus Christ as our Savior. The Old Testament saints believe that Christ was coming future to die, to pay for their sins. We look back to that event as a historic event that happened 2000 years ago, and when we trust Jesus Christ as our Savior, we receive at that moment ever lasting life. I’m Dr. Englundstrom, it’s great to be with you today. Thanks again for tuning in and we are coming to you from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church.

We’re on the pastor and that phone number if you want to call in is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771 and we’re going to go now to Seminole, Florida and we have John on the line. John, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. . . . . . . . . . Good morning, Pastor Lindstrom. I just have a couple of questions for you about, am I wrong in seeing what’s happening around the world as, let’s say, the end of days. I mean, when you have the, you know, one of the most unique presidential election periods of the world’s only superpower coming up when you have flus.

I mean, it’s just what they talked about 2000 years ago about the the beginning of you tell me I agree with you 100% I think we’re very close to the long return I don’t have a date but I sure believe that he’s coming soon and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t come while we’re still here but maybe even this year I mean really we’re that close I think with all the like you say the tornadoes look at how many people were killed in that typhoon over there and and how many have been killed by earthquakes and tornadoes and now the flooding that’s happening across America.

Obviously these are unusual things and when they add them all up together it looks like definitely something that the Bible has predicted would happen. Now when it says beginning it could mean the seven years, couldn’t it be? Well the seven years don’t really begin until the rapture has already occurred because we are the church, the bride of Christ, of Christ and we’re going to be caught up. Christ is not going to let his bride go through the tribulation and we’ll be caught out and then that seven years will begin.

But obviously it’s obviously not going to be just like you turn the switch. I think it’s more gradual and we’re entering into that time. You know the Bible says in Luke 21 when these things begin to come to pass then look up and lift up your heads because your redemption draws I looked at what I’m saying that it could be the rapture could be coming like you said your next year and then those seven years absolutely absolutely John I agree with that at all for sure and maybe the Lord will come if he does come this year the most reasonable date would be September 30th which is when you have Russia Shana or the Feast of Trumpets we believe because all of the feast days that God gave you Israel were property pictures of Christ, the first four fulfilled right on the day, that the next one which would exit

us out of here would happen also right on the day and that would be September 30th this year if it happens this year, if not this year the date would change a little bit for next year but I watch especially at that time of year in the fall when the feast trumpts comes around because that’s the day we’ll probably leave. That’s kind of it. It should be exciting for every Christian out there really. I think so. Absolutely. Live in that excitement to say wow Jesus is coming in and maybe maybe this year Thank you, John.

That was great. We’d glad to talk to you that we have now now normal in that Daisy, Florida Norma welcome to Bibleline I believe you live over there on the east coast of Florida near Daytona Norma you’re on the air Good morning Dr. Lindstrom my question is I would appreciate if you could give us by person office on the doctor of the election due to their being too interpretation out there and people always flickering back and forth about it.

So could you just give us a little synopsis on that? It would be appreciated. All right. Well, the greatest synopsis I could give is what DL Moody said. DL Moody said the Whosoever wills are the elect and the Whosoever won’t are the non-elect. And that’s about that simple. But basically, God has chosen from the foundations of the world to save all that would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. The choice is yours, but God has chosen that He would save everyone that would believe.

So when you make the choice to believe, then you become one of the chosen. Let me give you one of the verses that those who believe you don’t have a choice will use, but they don’t read the whole verse. It’s verse 13 of 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, and it says, Because we are bound to give thanks, always to God for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation. They stop right there without completing the verse.

So God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation, but then it says, through the sanctification of the Spirit, that’s God’s part, and belief of the truth, that’s your part. So when you believe the truth concerning Christ, that He died and paid for your sin debt and full was buried and rose again from the dead, then God will sanctify you, which means He makes you pure and holy in His sight based upon the substitution of your death of Christ.

And so you become chosen upon your belief of the truth. And we thank you, Norma, for that question. I hope that has helped you. Yes, it has. Thank you very much. Have a right. So the Whosvever wills, I like the old mood. He always got right to the point. Whosvever wills are the elect, the Whosvever won’t are the non-elect and you can’t find a contradiction to that in the Bible. This is a great verse in 2 Thessalonians on our first glance.

It might look like God from the beginning made the choice for you, but it doesn’t say that he chose you through sanctification of the Spirit. That’s God’s part and your part. belief of the truth. When you believe the gospel and you believe on Christ, then God sanctifies you and makes you pure and holy as He says that by the offering of Christ’s body at the cross, He makes us pure and holy through that one time offering and that is obviously very, very good news.

I’m Dr. Hank Lynch, this is Bible. I understand it’s great to be with you. It’s a Tuesday and we We invite you to tune us in every day and pass that word along to your friends and tell them about, of course, our website because we want you to know that you could catch our programs on the website 24 hours a day, any day of the week, any time of the year. It is wonderful and you might want to take a look.

I think you’ll be surprised at how much we have on the website. line ministries.org and that’s BibleLineMinistries.org and we want you to check it out. And by the way the phone number to call in is 1-800-576-3771 and we’re now going to Joyce and she is in Largo, Florida and Joyce. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, good morning. Good morning. Okay, my name is Joyce. Go ahead Joyce. Thank you very much. Good morning. How are you? Good. You’re on the air.

I was thinking, I was talking to a speaker, I don’t want to call the name of the store, and I was, can we turn my radio down please? Because I’m getting… Getting some feedback here, and so Joyce, get that radio down and we’ll continue. No, one of my co-workers. Okay. And I was telling him about how he needed to be saved. He said I’m saved. I get saved every day. I say, I can work with, I can call you a man.

I think, why should you save your state? I say, you go on to church now, he’s, no, I don’t need to go to church. I say, yes, you do, you need to go to church. I say the Bible says, because some of your stuff was leavers. I’m trying to find it in the word. I got my Bible this morning. It’s Hebrews 1025, Hebrews 1025, where believers are not to forsake the assembling of themselves together. And it tells us so much the more, as you see the day of Christ, recurring approaching.

So as we get closer and closer to the Lord’s return, even more, it’s important for us to gather together because the times would grow worse and Satan would be deceiving more and more people and you need the strength of fellow believers and the teaching of God’s Word to keep you strong. Yeah, that’s what I wanted to share with him. I wanted to find him so I could show him because I take my bow with you, work every day and I wanted to show that in the word.

I’m thinking, well, let me know where that is but I can share that with him. I couldn’t save her day, I couldn’t save her day and I said, you may not want to get saved, but you need a symbol that would believe it. But he doesn’t think he needs to do that. He said, I don’t need to do that. And I get tired of people telling me I need to do that. I don’t need to go to church. Well, he definitely needs to go to a good Bible-building teaching church.

And he needs to realize that salvation is a once-in-for-all gift that God gives at the moment of belief. you possess it forever thereafter. So once he puts his trust in Christ, the Bible says he has eternal life right now. And that’s what he needs to know. God 647, Jesus said he can believe it on me, has present tense verb everlasting life. everlasting life. Thank you so much. You’re welcome Joyce. Okay, she’ll keep listening and we’re now going to go to another caller.

This is Bibleline and the phone number is 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to find out who we have here. We have a caller. Where are you from? Belgrade, Florida. Hey, Belgrade, Florida down by Lake of Kachobee. Good to have you on the air. I’m the hangout on that question. I would like to hang up and listen on video. I would like to know that the Hebrew, the Jew, and the Eurelans, you can tell. He really is of the same people.

Well, yeah, and here’s the way it goes. Abraham was really a Gentile and he crossed over from the Land of Oor to the land that we call Israel today. And the word Hebrew means to cross over. So he became a Hebrew by leaving that land of war and going to the Promised Land. Then his son was named Isaac, his son was named Jacob, and Jacob’s name was changed by God when he got saved. The night he wrestled with the angel, the Lord which I believe was a pre-incarnate appearance of Christ.

And his name was changed to Israel, which means child of God. His twelve sons became the twelve tribes of Israel. And so yes, the people today that are in the state of Israel are the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and are what we call the Israelites. So you’re right on, and I guess he hung up to catch the answer on the air. We’re going to take a break here and come back and do a second half hour Bibleline.

I hope you’ll keep your radio tuned right where it is. Again, Bibleline is listed as the Portland. And if you could help us, it would be great. We don’t pay any salaries. And so really the money that you invest in Bible and really gets the maximum benefit from it, because it gives right back into paying the stations and the other bills related to the program to keep us on the air. Would you call in today and give a gift by credit card over the phone?

Or would you call in today and ask for an envelope to be sent to you with our address on it and mail a gift into Bible and we would share. appreciate that we need your help and we could use it right now especially here as we close out the month of June. Would you call today and I hope you will and God bless you. I want to thank you in advance. We’re going to take that break now. We’ll come back into a second half hour.

So don’t go away. Keep you ready to tune right where it is and we’ll do another half hour and God bless. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. It’s 1-800-576-3771. Well I’m Dr. Englund. It’s great to be with you today. It’s Tuesday. We’re excited about being with you every day Monday through Friday and thanks for tuning in today. We have a lot of things that are exciting going on with Bible and we have Bible and music for children now that you can listen to and sample on our website.

Just go to BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the online bookstore and you will find at the very bottom or rather on the right hand side of every page there’s a vertical banner, click on that and you’ll be able to listen to and hear samples of the music that’s available on the By Blind Music for Children. And when you order it and it comes to your home, your child will hear their name about forty-five times on each CD. So you don’t want to lose that on that. So check that out and I think you’ll find it is a great benefit, a way to really get through to your children with the Gospel of Jesus. It’s a tool and it’s a wonderful one to help you open that door to reaching your children. Also, we want you to know that we have many series that we have done here on CD.

I’ve taught just recently here second Peter. That was incredible. What a book. It’s hated by modern scholars, liberal theologians. They don’t like to hear it. But you know, it’s one that is equipping you and me for these days in which we’re living right now. want to get that second Peter series, 10 hours of teaching on CD or DVD. Also we finish first Peter, which is also equally great. And if you get those two series, first Peter and second Peter, you’re really going to have what you need to know in order to be a strong, effective Christian for Christ in the latter days, knowing what obstacles you’ll be facing and how to deal with us.

We also want you to know that… We finished before that the Gospel of John and that took us 20 hours of teaching. So we hope that you will Take advantage of that teaching on John’s gospel We broke it into two parts so you can get part one ten hours of teaching or part two ten hours of teaching and The entire set is available on CD and again on DVD. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. It’s wonderful to be with you We are now going to go back and join the stations that have been on break and do a second half hour of Bibleline.

And we hope that you’ll stay with us for that second half hour. Again, if you go to the internet, you can catch the full program anytime. And that’s anytime today or next week or next year because they stay in our archive. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can. up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bible and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church.

We’re on the pastor. We look forward to being with you each and every day and I meet people and talk to people all the time that tell me that they listen every day. We got to meet some yesterday that came by and we got to talk and they said to listen every day as much as possible to the Bible and program. That’s exciting. And we are learning that we’re getting more and more bisters all the time from all across the country.

We want to welcome those on WSLM today listing out of Salem, Indiana. And we hope that you all will call in and let us know that you’re hearing the program. Even if you don’t have a question, just call and say, hey, I hear you. And we want to know that. So that number here, again, is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771.

And if you have a question, you’re welcome to call in with it Or you could leave a question off air and we’ll catch it as an off air question and you don’t have to go up on the air. We’re living in a most exciting time and to equip you, we have got lots of teaching series about 40 different ones that I’ve taught on different books of the Bible, the book of Revelation, the book of Daniel, the book of James, the book of now we just finished first and second Peter, the book of Hebrew is the book of Rome is the book of Jude and so on.

And you can order those series, 10 hours of teaching, sometimes 12 hours of teaching as in the case of the book of Revelation. And you can listen to them and share them. You can facilitate a Bible study, a Sunday school class with the CDs. Some tell me they play a portion, have a group discussion, and then in the Bible study, if it’s a home study, they have refreshments and works out really good. So you might want to try that and take advantage of the facilities or the CDs and the DVDs that we have of these classes.

We’re going to go now to Auburndale, Florida and we’re going to catch Patsy and Patsy, welcome to Bible Eye and Viewer on the Air. Yes, sir. Question is, I’m not sure exactly where the Bible it is, but it talks about the Rapture And I believe it says something about the Rapture Con, there will likely be two in the field and one will be taken and one will be left. My question is, my husband is safe, I am safe. Is it possible that we would both be in the same spot?

One of us would be left because maybe one isn’t really safe. And the second question is, you’re in the Bible. Jesus and M gives us the names of everybody’s children and daughters and sons and uncles and aunts, why do they only live at them and see two children came in April and I will hang up and listen to the answer. Alright, well first of all there’s a difference between the rapture and the second coming. The passage that you are citing about two in the field and the one is taking the others left is talking about the second coming and that is what happens at the end of the tribulation period, and the Rapture is really described in 1 Thessalonians 4 verses 13-18.

That’s one of many passages where the Rapture is described. At the Rapture, if you and your husband were together, if you’re both believers, you’re going to be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. And given your resurrection bodies on the way up. And so I hope that both of you are believers that you both have trusted Jesus as a Savior. And whether you’re in the same spot or whether you’re separated by hundreds of miles, you would still meet in the air.

In fact, I’m going to be a part of that group and I’ll meet you in the air too, which is great. Now at the second coming described in Matthew 24, the two in the field, the one is taken, the other is left, talking about Christ coming back in judgment and how the one that is taken is taken in judgment and killed and The one that is left is left to live behind to live into the thousand-year Kingdom that Christ will establish in a second coming seven years after the Rapture So this is actually the opposite Of what happens at the Rapture at the Rapture the believer is taken up and meets the Lord of the air The unbeliever is left behind But seven years later, at the Second Coming, the unbeliever is taken in judgment and killed, and the believer is left to live in the

Millennium. These are people who get saved during the tribulation period. They’re still in their mortal bodies, and they will be left to live into that thousand years and be the subjects of Christ’s rule here on the earth. If you read Matthew 24, you can see in the context that this is always talking about, as the days of Noah were social coming into the Son of Man B. It says here that they were eating and drinking and giving and marriage and so on, and knew not until the flood came and took them all away.

Social coming into the Son of Man B. The flood came and took what group? They took the unbelievers and they drowned. They died. And only the believers in the arch survived to live into the new world that Noah was told to repopulate. The same thing will be true at the Second Coming, where as the flood came and took the unbelievers away, Christ will come back and take away the unbelievers and the believers are left behind. So there’s the difference there, Patsy, and if you’re a believer, definitely going to be there.

As far as Adam and Eve, if you read chapter 5, it tells us that Adam and Eve begets sons and daughters. What is really going on there is this telling us the line of Jesus. You see, the story of Jesus begins before the foundation of the world. And God gave Adam and Eve the promise that of their seed, one day a child would come that would be the Messiah. And it would be the seed of the woman, which is a veiled reference, I believe, to the virgin birth.

And we find that Cain and Abel were the first two children. Cain killed Abel because Satan knew what was going to happen. And he wanted to get rid of Abel. And God replaced Abel with Seth. And the lineage continues on down till finally we come to Jesus. And if you read the genealogies in Matthew chapter 1 and Luke chapter 3 you’ll find it just hits on those individuals that were of the line of the Messiah. So Patsy I hope that helps in your study.

Keep listing it all been Dale and hopefully we’re going to continue to be a blessing to you. We’re now going to go to Ted in Fort Myers Florida and that’s way south of us here in the west coast of Florida. Ted welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Thank you, Dr. Hank. My question, I came up for service with you a couple weeks ago when you were talking about the Book of Life and you had talked that everyone was already in the book and I just want to see how that reconciled with Revelation 13.8.

Alright, that is the question that comes up on occasion. In Revelation 13.8 it talks about the Antichrist and it talks here about what’s going to happen to the Antichrist, how that he will ultimately be cast into hell and separated from God forever and ever and ever. The key word here in Revelation 13, 8, is all of them that dwell upon the earth shall worship him the Antichrist. And then it says whose names are not written in the book of life slain from the foundation of the world.

While Christ was slain from the foundation of the world, the book of life, when this actually takes place, this is going to be when the Antichrist is finally cast into the lake of fire. At that point, the names of those that worshipped him in the tribulation period will not be in the book of life because they will have been stricken because they have died. So basically the key word is when does this happen? And it talks about they will all see him one day when Satan and his cohearts, the false prophet and Lev antichrist are cast into hell.

They will all see them in hell with themselves. And they’ll look upon the one that had deceived them during the tribulation period. And at that point, their names will already have been stricken because they have died. So that’s the key as to you have to look at the timeline and say, when does this happen? And it really is happening after the Antichrist has already been cast into the light of fire. Okay, great. I appreciate it. Okay. Thank you, Ted.

That was Ted down in Fort Myers. Florida, if you’d like to call us here Bibleline. It’s 1-800-5-7. 76771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. So if you have a question you’re welcome to call in and I hope you will and we also have some off-air questions here. We’ll try to take a couple of those. David in Richmond, Virginia says when the Bible describes people dying and says that they gave up the ghost, is that referring to the Holy Ghost? And the answer is no.

It means it gives up their spirit. Unfortunately, the word ghost is used. It’s a good word and in the King James time it meant spirit and still does. But today because of Hollywood we think of Casper, the friendly ghost and we think of wispy spirits, beings and sheets that hover over a graveyard. All of that of course leads us in a wrong direction. But when it says here that when people die they gave up the ghost it means they gave up their spirit.

The Greek word is the same whether the translators translated spirit or ghost it is the same word in the Greek and it means your spirit. So everybody is made a triune being where body, soul and spirit. And so when a person dies their soul and their spirit leave this body and as a believer you’re absent from the body and present with the Lord. So at the point of death you give up your soul and spirit and the word spirit of course can be translated ghost and so that is what it’s referring to.

Then it says in verse in this all fair question from David in Richmond, Virginia, if so is that proof that Ananias and Sephira were saved and And of course, I don’t think there’s anything that would connect their salvation to this. But in the last instance of fire, we’re taken home to heaven early because of their sin as believers in lying about their giving to the Lord. And obviously, God took their life early. And obviously, they were part of the early church and were believers, the context demands that.

But they were taken home to heaven sooner than they had planned on going. And that’s what we call the sin unto death that a Christian can commit. In 1 John 5 and 16 it talks about a sin unto death that if someone has committed that sin that we shouldn’t even bother to pray because there’s nothing that’s going to stop what God is going to do. And in some cases God will take a believer home to heaven earlier than they should have gone because of a sin in their life.

Moses committed that sin in striking the rock when he was supposed to speak to the rock that brought forth water in the wilderness. We find that God got very angry and said that because of this, you’re not going to enter the Promised Land and he took his life while he was still in very good health and had 2020 eyesight and so on and so on. So the Lord took him home and there’s examples throughout the Bible of God taking believers sometimes home to heaven sooner than they should have gone to heaven.

Thank you David and Richmond, Virginia for that offer question. We’re now going to go south to South Florida, Hollywood, Florida and we have Harold on the line. Harold, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. It’s nice hearing you’re a magnetic voice again. Well thank you Harold and I had somebody just this week ask where is Harold and how is he? And I said well maybe he’ll call soon and you’ll be able to hear for yourself. a friend of mine who calls with me told me the other night that you’re back on the air you know at the 10 30 hour so I said oh and he’s he’s long been with you before me isn’t that great well yeah we’re on the full hour in South Florida on WMCU 1080 on the Amdow for the four so I’m excited well I’m glad to hear that magnetic voice and

I want to get started because I need a bible of how that by the way do you have a jewish a t his other than me call you know you’re the only one you know i bought a book the other day by maybe you know much professor laurin topland is a professor of hebrew union college and his book and he answers all the questions not by verses and this is simple questions for instance a question This book is called What Is It You?

And in the very capsule comment, he says, many things but not a race. See, that’s the type of book it is. And then the other question they asked about the Jewish star, which I wear one, and it is not a religious symbol. So these are the kind of things that he answers. Now I go back to Dr. Hank to get a Bible lesson. Okay. Alright, let me start at the beginning. The Ten Commandments have been often spoken with every time I’m hearing more on TV with Bible and talk, but I only believe you.

Now you mentioned the God-Man or the Man-God, correct? That’s correct. Jesus, the Messiah, would be the God-Man. Okay, now, let me go from the beginning. I would say God gave Moses the 10 commandments. It would be Jesus that gave Moses the 10 commandments. Am I correct? That would be correct. Okay. So if I go to the 10 commandments, I ask you why one of those 10 commandments would not say by Jesus that I am the Lord and the Savior.

You know that verse, you always got the light. You know, you always say I am the Lord. I am the way the truth in the life and no man can come under the father by me. I want that to be put in the same commandments. Why not? Well, guess what? I believe it is there. It’s not as clear as you may like to have it, but the second commandment says that there is a, it’s the only commandment that has a punishment there associated with it where Let’s see here where it says in verse 7 of Exodus 20, Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless at taking his name in vain.

I believe his name is Yeshua, which in English is Jesus, and if you obviously do not respond to him and do not receive him as your Savior, then you will not be forgiven. He will not hold you guiltless. is I think the impartable sin, the rejection of the Messiah or Christ, who is the God-man. And I think that is implied there in the commandment there in Exodus 20 verse 7. But it isn’t the word Jesus. In other words, because again, you’re not going to have the word Jesus is an English word.

The Hebrew is Yeshua, which is God’s name, the consonant for consonants, YHWH, which is pronounced today Yahweh, and the word for salvation Yasha, and the contraction is Yeshua. And that occurs over 130 times in the Old Testament and we find that in the English it’s translated or pronounced Jesus, but he appears throughout that Old Testament and you’ll find that even Adam and even the garden There the Lord God walked with them in the garden obviously that had to be God in a human form And I believe that was Yeshua Chua, the Redeemer, and even when they sinned in the garden, he came up with a plan of redemption that talked about a Redeemer that would be the seed of the woman, which we believe is again Jesus or Yeshua, taking on a human body with no human father.

He would be the seed of the woman, but God himself would be the father of that child, that is his name that cannot be violated or rejected because God will not hold the person guiltless who rejects the Savior, who is. I believe obviously you sure there it’s God who would take on you and flesh one day to pay for sin. Okay now, not as hip as you are, but I do know the first sentence in the Bible doesn’t say in the beginning God created the heavens and earth.

Am I wrong or right? absolutely right so again i say why isn’t it like in the beginning jesus well he’s included because that word god is the heber word as a jew you would know this elohim elohim is plural in hebrew which means three or more because uh… in hebrew you have uh… words that are singular words that are dual and then plural begins with three or more so it’s really saying in the beginning Lecture 9 The Great Lecture 13 The Great God of Plurality, and I believe it talks about the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit working in consent, rather in concert.

Create the Singular Verb is Used to Create the Universe by a Plurality. God, Elohim, does this. In Inverse 2 you have the Holy Spirit. It says the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. All three members of the Godhead are involved in the creation of man, where it says in verse 26th and Elohim said, let us make man in our image after our likeness and it’s all plural in the Hebrew and that’s why it’s translated there as being plural and all three members of the Godhead were involved in the creation of man and all three involved in the redemption but it was a second member of the Godhead that actually took on flesh and died to pay for our sins so that we might be redeemed.

Dr. Lynch, why isn’t the word J-E-S-U-S ever seen in the Old Testament? I know about Yeshua and Yahweh. Why isn’t the word? Well we could put it in there, but obviously the word Jesus is an English rendering of Yeshua. So the Hebrew Yeshua equivalent, English is Jesus. And if you wanted to, we could do that. But technically the Hebrew word Yeshua means exactly Jesus in English, so we’re talking about the same one. And obviously we wouldn’t want to impose the English form of God’s name there.

We want to use the name as it was used in the Old Testament. But if you read Acts chapter 10 verse 43, the apostle Peter said to Yeshua give all the prophets witness. That’s all the writers of the Old Testament that through his name, which is Yeshua, whosoever believeth in him, that is Yeshua should receive the remission of their sins. So Peter’s telling us that the whole Old Testament is filled with the teaching about the Messiah, Savior which would be Yeshua and in English it’s Jesus and that’s the best we can do.

But you don’t think that whoever’s writing that old testament is going to say revise it? Well, I mean we could make a translation and revise it and put Jesus in there as an equivalent but nobody so far has done that that I know. Let me ask you this question. I know that Jewish atheist when Jesus and I heard you speak about it will appear again. Now I’m watching a TV or I’m watching a ball game. How am I going to know this?

Well, if you read the book of Micah, it said that just before the Messiah would return, it says that all the nations that surround Israel would hate Israel, and they would say let Israel be destroyed, and they would say we want Jerusalem as our capital. I think we’re seeing that right today. let Israel void and we want Jerusalem as our capital. I think we’re seeing that right today. and then the one who would be future born in Bethlehem, who is God from everlasting, would be the deliverer that would deliver Israel at that time in history.

So the one that came 2000 years ago and took on flesh in Bethlehem, Micah 5.2, is the one that would rescue Israel from this dilemma that we’re this dilemma that we’re living in right now with all 22 Islam nations hating Israel in a bin of jobs saying let’s destroy Israel, let Israel be defiled and destroyed, and we want to take Jerusalem as our capital, and God says that this one born in Bethlehem would stand up in the strength of Yahweh, and Israel therefore would abide because he would destroy their enemies and give them all the land from the Euphrates down to the Nile River.

So Israel is going to become very rich in the near future here when Christ comes back as He will vacate all that land of all of its inhabitants because they reject His name and they violate that become his roles and they’ll become the wealthiest nation on the earth during the millennium when crisis ruling here on this earth but did it i don’t know much about the michael but there are birds where he says where all the harmony among people and we live together and there’s no more uh…

wars and you know all that all that good stuff Absolutely. That will happen when Christ does return and destroys all unbelievers that he will have a perfect harmony. There will be no more wars and so on. Boy, it’s so great to have you on the air today. I’m glad you call and help. Alright, I need to get your mailing address. I want to pay my dues like I heard.
