It ought to be a lot of fun. Good to be with you. We have live collars already calling in from different areas and we’ll get to them in just a minute. We’re going to take a look at our Bibles. If you have any questions, please subscribe. your Bible there, I want you to turn to Leviticus 1711. Leviticus 1711. What an amazing verse this one is. It tells us here in Leviticus 1711 that the life of the flesh is in the blood.
And God says, I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that make it an atonement for the soul. Interestingly, the Bible is a book of the blood. But what is also interesting here is the scientific accuracy of the Bible. You know, up until rather recently, men had it all wrong about the blood. Aristotle taught that the body was bisected into two hands and that the blood on one side, vertically, flowed independently from the blood on the other side and that the head was somewhat like the radiator on your car.
So when you had a fever, it weren’t feeling well and obviously it was your head that overheated. And anyway, that strange belief carried right on down until almost rather recently. And even George Washington died because they didn’t get it right about the blood and the scriptures had it right all along. You know, George Washington, according to history, contracted double pneumonia and they called the best physicians that our country had to offer to treat him to come to his side.
They prescribed bloodletting because they believed that the blood was the carrier of evil spirits and diseases. And so they actually drained out, listen to this, three pints of blood out of George Washington. Today we know he died because of the loss of blood and the weakened condition with a double pneumonia, no wonder he died. I’m glad those doctors aren’t around the treat me today. But that was a common belief and almost, well that was just a couple hundred years ago when George died because of the practice of bloodletting.
It was popular. Every barber would be able to do it for you. You could go in that Striped barber pole talked about the fact they could take that scalpel and that razor and Cut your wrist and drain out blood and by the way, they would drain out a certain amount from your right wrist And they would measure it then they would drain out a certain amount from your left wrist And that was so that you wouldn’t walk around lopsided because they believed the blood on the one side I floated in permanently from the blood of the other.
So they would measure the blood and drain out an equal amount from the other side of your body. Crazy, isn’t it? You know, today you go to the doctor. I found this on the first hand. You see that nurse. She seems so friendly. She comes and approaches you and you think, wow, she’s going to shake your hand and welcome you to the doctor’s office. And when you reach out, boom! She cuts the end of your finger and you’re bleeding.
That’s right. And then she puts that blood on a piece of glass and runs back into some room there where she has a microscope and she looks at your blood and says, no, what are you sick with all those things crawling around in your blood? You certainly should be sick. Well, obviously that was a lesson I learned early. Watch out for those nurses who want to take blood and they would like to take it in the hospital as well.
But basically they know this wonderful fact that Leviticus 177, 11th, chapter 17 verse 11 says that the life of the flesh is in the blood. So when they take a look at the blood they can tell the condition of your flesh, your body. And today when you go to the hospital instead of draining blood out as they did with George Washington it’s almost not fashionable to be in the hospital without an IV. Everybody wants to be hooked up to one of those bags on a pole with the tube coming down and going into your arm.
And instead of draining blood out, they put fluid in. Isn’t that interesting? We’ve had a real reversal in science. And the Bible was right all along. It says, the life of the flesh is in the blood. God says, I’ve given it to you upon the altar to make an entombment for your souls, for it is the blood. It is the blood. It is the blood that makes an entombment for the soul. Wow, the Bible is a book of the blood.
Today, the blood of Christ is under attack, along with so many other doctrines. When you go back to the book of Genesis, able offered a lamb and its blood had to be shed. And you see through the whole Old Testament the idea of blood sacrifices, all a picture of what Christ would do when He shed His blood. It says that Hebrews 922. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sin. Think about it. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sin.
Do you have a blood sacrifice that will cleanse your sin? Well, obviously, the Bible says that Christ is that blood sacrifice, and it was by His blood that our sins were cleansed, and we become washed of our sins in the blood of Christ. I love what the hymn writer wrote. What can wash away my sins? The answer is nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Boy, the hymn writer got it right. But you know more and more new hymnals are coming out that eliminate the songs about the blood.
Peter makes it very clearly. The Apostle Peter says in 1 Peter 1, he says here, how are we redeemed? He says not with silver and gold and not by our works and not by our deeds, but he says in verse 19 of 1 Peter, with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, Jesus Christ died and shed his blood. Revelation 1, 5 says unto Jesus, who loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood.
Is your church still singing to him about the blood? Well, many of the modern translations deliberately eliminate the word blood from the text, even though there’s no reason to do so. And there are Bible teachers that people are not paying attention to what they’re saying, but they actually speak against the blood. I’m going to quote here from a booklet by RB Theme, and it’s called The Blood of Christ. The isp at number 1-55-764-036-X by Robert Theme, and this is what he says, the red liquid that ran through the veins and arteries of Jesus’ mortal body is not related to our salvation.
Hoho! See you reading the same Bible? There is no biblical basis for attributing any unusual properties to Christ’s bodily fluids. The term blood of Christ is far more significant than any magic or mystical power falsely ascribed to the physical blood by those who are ignorant of God for him. John’s record indicates that his literal blood was not a factor in either his spiritual or his physical death. Interesting. Wow, when an attack on the blood of Christ, I sure don’t want to be standing close to to him when the Lord judges, preachers and believers because, whoa, who is going to stand up until Jesus, you know, your blood was of no power.
And I love that hymn, there’s power in the blood, there’s power in the blood. And the power of the blood to Washington, Pennsylvania, is taught through the Bible. Let me go to the big Hebrews for just a moment. And it says in Hebrews chapter 9, and what a great verse this one is. talks about the blood of Jesus shed at the cross that Jesus himself took that blood up to heaven and applied it on the mercy seat of the in the holy of holies and by doing so he obtained eternal redemption for us.
So give your Bible open turn to Hebrews chapter 9 and look at what it says here. It says in verse 12 of chapter 9 of Hebrews, but neither right of blood abgoats and cabs, but Jesus by his own blood entered once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. How did he obtain eternal redemption by taking his very own blood, the blood that was shed at the cross, and taking it up to heaven? And it says in verse 24, Christ has not entered into the holy places made with hands, which your figures of the true, but in the heaven itself now to appear in the presence of God for us.
Here it tells us that Christ took that blood that we shed at the cross and took every drop up to heaven, and he actually entered into the holy place in heaven and actually applied that blood on the mercy seat in the holy of holies, and having done so he obtained for us eternal redemption. Wow, I’ve got a number of articles written about the blood that you really probably ought to look at and it will certainly bring your back to the truth of Scripture that is the blood of Christ that took away our sin.
Well it tells us for example in Colossians chapter 1 and verse 14 about the blood it says about Jesus, in whom we have redemption through His blood. Catch that, Colossians 1, 14. Christ, in whom we have redemption, through His blood, even the forgiveness of sin. The Bible is very clear that the blood played an important role that was the blood of Christ, which by the way the Bible says was incorruptible blood. that Jesus was sinless, his blood was sinless, and only Christ blood could take away our sins.
And his blood was shed at the cross so that our sins might be washed away. The hymn writer again said, what can wash away my sin? The answer is correct. Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. But there are those who teach falsely concerning the blood. the blood and today, more than ever, I think the blood of Christ is under attack. And obviously, if you’re a believer in the Bible and you get your doctrine from the Bible, you have to believe the Bible is the book of the blood and it’s the blood that was offered up for our sins.
Leviticus 1711 that we began with is an amazing scientific fact. The life of the flesh is in the blood. God says I’ve given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls, for it is Because the blood, it is the blood that makes it the endowment for your soul. It’s the blood. Now Jewish people have a problem because they haven’t offered a blood sacrifice for 2,000 years. Because the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed and they can’t legitimately offer a blood sacrifice anywhere but at the temple in Jerusalem.
And so the blood of Christ was shed and therefore God destroyed that temple because there was no other sacrifice necessary. His sacrifice was pointed to by the blood sacrifices of the Old Testament, pictured to us by the sacrifices. But when he died he made the full and complete and final payment for years to end in mind. So when you trust Christ the Bible says God saves you, he saves you eternally at that very moment. phone lines that phone number by the way is one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one and we’re going to talk to Mac and Mac is down in Miami-Forta and Mac welcome to Bible I’m good I got a question about the choir what what if the choir is I mean what What is the use for God?
Well, choir can sing God’s praises and set the stage for the message to be brought. But I think obviously the music needs to prepare the worshipper and get them ready to hear the message. I think if you use music, I think at least my theory is you start off with faster, more majestic songs. And then as you come to the message, you slow it down and play more slower and more worshipful and thoughtful songs and then bring the messages that prepares the way for the message to be brought.
But really in the Bible, you read about the choirs that were used in Israel in the worship of God. But in the New Testament, you don’t read about church choirs, but I don’t object. But I think that if you’re not careful, the Beasley can take you away from God rather than lead you closer to God. Yeah, because I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to cut you off because what I’ve been hearing is that the choir has been singing songs according to the seasons, you know, like the Easter, the Christmas, the Thanksgiving and stuff like that, instead of giving praise unto the Lord, when the Lord gives the whole Spirit for them to just go ahead and just give all the praise unto the Lord to God.
Well, I think the words are very, very important and I love the old hymns like the theme song for Bibleline is the old rugged cross. I love that hymn and it talks about how Christ died on that cross and shed his blood and that’s the means by which we’re saved. And I think today a lot of the modern hymns are just light and fluffy and don’t have any substance. Somebody once said about the contemporary music today that it’s 7-11, seven phrases repeated 11 times and that’s about it.
But no real substance to the words. Some of the great hymns were written several hundred years ago and they are full of wonderful doctrine. I quote some of them as we did the thing, what could wash away my sin? The answer is nothing but the blood. I love that hymn. There’s power in the blood, power in the blood. Wonderful power in the blood of Christ. It cleanses of our sin and gives us the gift of eternal life. So I think we need hymns that reflect and remind us of the precious teachings that we believe in the scripture and we need to be careful that our songs are not giving us that doctrine because sometimes hymns are wrong, they are not inspired.
Only the scriptures are and so we have to. In fact sometimes I will change the words in a hymn if it is not doctrinally sound because I don’t want to have the congregation sing something that is not sound doctrinally so So I’m changing the words on him all the time. Thank you, Matt. Okay. All right. Thank you. That was Mac then Miami, Florida and I was born and raised in Miami. I was born in the Jackson Memorial Hospital right there in Miami and so I have an affinity for Miami.
I really want the gospel to go out in my home city. We’re not going to Glenn in Tampa and Glenn welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Morning pastor. In your opinion, how old is the earth? Do you think? Okay, the Bible says in the beginning and that’s when the universe was created and I believe that was probably Millions and maybe billions of years ago But I only believe man has been on the planet about 6,000 years if you read Genesis 1 1 It says in the beginning God created the heavens in the earth now why do I go over to Isaiah?
45 18 it tells us that when he created it he created it perfect and inhabited so he did not create it void or without form as you find it in Genesis 1-2. So I believe the earth was originally created and inhabited according to Isaiah 45-18 and that there were plants and animals and dinosaurs and that all of God’s angels lived on the original earth. And then when Satan decided that he wasn’t happy with that and went over to overthrow God judged the earth and it became without form and void as we find it in Genesis 1-2.
Then the earth that was completely planted according to verse 2 that was without form and void, the life on the planet had been killed. God incubated it. Apparently it became frozen. It accounts for the ice ages because scientists tell us if the sun’s light were cut off for a little 72 hours, the planet would be quick frozen. NASA tells us that a huge asteroid struck the planet 65 million years ago and it hit in the area of the Yucatan Peninsula.
You can see it on a map that big ground circle. The diameter was somewhere between 125 and 150 miles. They say that it threw up so much debris into the atmosphere that the Earth’s light from the Sun was cut off for millions of years. And so all life that breed there died. And then it says in the end of verse 2 of Genesis 1-2, and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. That word moved in the Hebrew means to brood upon or to incubate.
The same word used of a hen sitting on her eggs and keeping them warm and hatching them out. So God made the earth ready, thought it out from the ice ages, and in the seven days it decides to put life on the planet again. And if you read carefully, God did not have to create plants again. If you read what happened on the third day, it says the plant salt came forth from seed that was already here on the earth.
And then on the fifth day, God created all animals that breathed air again. And then on the sixth day, he creates man separately from all the animals out of the dust of the ground. And so I believe man has only been here on the earth 6,000 years. But I believe the earth is very old and has an old history. And I think there are many reasons to believe that. I think you look up at the sky at night, if the Earth were only created 6,000 years ago, you’d have a dark sky.
Most of that light from the stars you see in the heavens came from even billions of light years ago. So that light has been traveling for billions of years and is finally arriving here for us to view into Lory and as we look at the night sky. But there are many, many reasons to believe that the Earth is old. We have the ruins of that destruction, the petroleum deposits that the world is now fighting over are really the fossil remains of that original Earth that God destroyed.
Look at that, pockets of petroleum, which is fossilized animal life. We used to have a series of gas stations a number of years ago that had the dinosaur out there as their symbol because we were really burning dinosaur bones and fossil fuels that are the modern-day petroleum. And of course coal is a fossilized plant life and it’s all trapped all around the world in pockets underneath the surface. When did that happen? I believe it happened when God judged the earth in Genesis 1 and 2.
And so the earth I think is very old but I think man has only been here for 6,000 years that the seven days were a re-creative week. And when God told Adam to be fruitful and multiply and re-plenish the earth, he’s implying that there was life here earlier that he was to punish it again, replenish. I wouldn’t make a whole lot out of that except if you go to Genesis chapter 9, Noah is given the same command in the Hebrew.
He’s told to multiply and replenish the earth. In the case of Noah there was life destroyed. Now Noah was now ordered to punish it again just as Noah was given the same command in the Hebrew to punish the earth of life again after the destruction of the life in Genesis one too from the original creation, Lucifer was the God of this world, and he still retains that title to this day. 2 Corinthians 4.4 says that Satan is the God of this world.

on and think you’ll find it very powerful. We’re going to go to Decatur, Illinois and we have Ken on the line and I can welcome the Bible and you’re on the air. Hi, yes, Dr. Hank. I have a question for you. A friend of mine is doing a lot of studying on Charles Fenny, and he’s going to Pentecostal churches. This guy helped to introduce me to the Lord Jesus Christ in the Bible back 40 years ago, almost. And at that time, he was going to a church.
It was pretty, you know, pretty well taught what you taught. And I ran into him. And I worked out the country. I hadn’t seen him in many, many years. and a few of them and this guy and I were very close friends back when we were young men. And anyway, his wife was telling me that he’s reading a lot of Charles Penny books and really study it and I didn’t have a lot of time to speak with him. But from what he was saying things like that he wanted to get it all, and I asked him about the church he was going to, and he said, well, I was going to a Pentecostal church in this one town, And he said I quit going there.
He said because I wanted all. He said I want him to teach it all. And from that after him telling me about this, Charles Fenny, I’m going to meet with him again here in a week or two. And I wondered if you’d give me some insight. I have a little knowledge of Fenny. I understand he was born back in the late, or he was back in the early 1800s somewhere, and he had some sort of a strange experience. And I understand that he was part of the beginning of the Pentecost movement.
and I also understand that it’s a lot of work based in there and a lot of behaviors and moral stuff and anyway I just wondered because I want to you know it’s hard to go to a guy that helped lead you to the Lord and feel like you’re gonna help him in some way but I just got a bad feeling that he’s being this led terribly and I just don’t want that to happen I want if you give me some insight and how to deal with this business with this Charles Benny where they’re getting turned around on it.
Well, I agree. Phil Finney had repittance wrong and salvation wrong and you could lose your salvation and you really need to get away from that. You know what I tell people, why don’t you read the Bible? I mean, doesn’t anybody think that that might be a good book to read. They’re reading books about the Bible and the books are leading them away from the Bible and we need to be more than ever into the Bible. If you read 2 Timothy chapter 4, it says the time would come when they would not endure sound doctrine but they would heap to themselves, teachers that would take their ears and give them what they’re looking for.
But as a result, it says that their ears would be turned away from the truth and they’d be turned on to fables. And so we want to bleeding lies. And I have tons of books, but I tell you, the number one book, the ones in my hand every day, the book that I love, the book that I read all the time, is the B.I.B.L.E. Yes, that’s the book for me. The Bible is the word of God. And you can’t go better, higher, deeper than go right directly to the Word.
I would suggest, have you thought about sticking with the Bible? And you know, it’s amazing how that that will be the ticket. Because it’s the word of God. It tells us in Isaiah 820, if they speak that as those that we’re reading and learning from, they speak that according to this book, the Bible, the word of God, it’s because there’s no light in them. And all the way through, we are to judge everything that we hear and everything that we believe and everything we practice against the standard, which is the word of God.
So that’s what I would recommend to him. I said, you know, I think you need to forget all those books. And when you conquer the Bible, then go ahead and maybe read a few other books. But it’s like this. I had a friend that was in the banking business and he was sent by his bank to the Department of the Treasury in Washington, D.C. And when he came back, after this two-week course, he said, Hank, since we were sent up there to be able to detect counterfeit money, I thought we would be seeing counterfeit bills every day in the classroom.
He said, you know, we were never shown not even once a counterfeit bill. We were instructed very carefully what the real U.S. currency looks like and what to look for. And he says, when you know the genuine thing well, you can pick out the counterfeit easily. So we didn’t have to look at any counterfeit bills. And I thought, wow, what a great illustration for the Bible. If you know your Bible well, you would know that Charles Finney is off in doctrine.
You know your Bible well, you’d find a lot of books that you probably have on yourself are worthless and they don’t teach in line with scripture. So there’s one book that we need to be with and I think if you know it well, you’ll be able to have the discernment to recognize things that are false because they just don’t line up with the Bible. Alright, Well, I was going to say the tape that you have or the CD that you have, how permanent is your salvation.
When I met with him over there and we went out and had him he own him and his wife, and I gave him that CD and I told him I said, after, you know, listen to him, I gave him that and a couple things. I told him I said, well, you got a pretty good drive home. I said, well, why don’t you go stick this in your CD by the time you get home. I said, you’re going to be pretty happy about your salvation.
And then I spoke to him again a week or so later and and not a word I mean it was almost when he was talking to me. He was telling me well I wanted all as if there was something that you know what I mean? So I just anyway I think I’ve learned enough from you that I I just was wondering if you knew anything else about this penny that I might want to know but I thought I pretty well I’d uncovered on works and and Moral issues and it was all basically all works.
So that’s all I need to know then right. That’s it That’s all you need to know. Okay, well, I’ll go to work on him from what I’ve learned from you then God bless you doctor I ain’t got pray for you guys and all the people that work for you daily. So thank you Thank you very much. Alright, Ken in Decatur, Illinois. We have now Jerry on the line, and Jerry is in Plant City, Florida. Jerry, welcome to Bibleline Your On The Air.
Yes, Dr. Hayne. Here we are July of 2008 and we’ll see what’s going on in the world as far as tornadoes, floods, the gas thing, the impending roll with I-Ran and all that. And then the Jerusalem Post Monday said the Temple Institute started preparing to build a third temple on Jerusalem’s Mount. Mount Moriah decided, don’t look behind nograving a workshop. of manufacturers, precisely garments. And when you’re sharing these things with people, witnessing in the first thing they say is no man knows the day nor the hour, how should I respond to that?
And where exactly do you think we are? We are right now the Scottish Bible prophecy and I’ll hang up and listen to you answer. Thanks a lot. I believe we’re right there. In fact, I think it’d be foolish to try to put this thing off. Now, he may be, the Lord won’t come for a couple of years, but I’m working against the clock here. I feel like, what if he does come this year? I sure don’t want to be sitting on my…
I’m trying to make every day count, and I’m counting down as though he were coming this year. Now I’m not setting a date, and I’m not saying he’s coming this year, but I think if you live with something to motivate you, and the whole thing of Christ coming unexpectedly is to motivate us. And it says when you have this expectation in you in 1 John chapter 3 that it motivates you to really get going for the Lord. I’m trying to reach out to you.
reach out as far as i can and do all that i can because what if the word did come this year on the site on the peace of trump it’s which would be september thirtieth we have now just a little less than three months ago don’t miss interest in what i said i didn’t say crisis coming this year i’m saying that he could come this year and i like to live with that uh… extra excitement in my life in my life saying wow if he comes in three months I don’t want to have to say oh Lord I didn’t think you were going to come this year and so I’ve been sitting on my bottom and doing nothing and I think a lot of Christians are going to be caught in a sense off guard because they’re not, they don’t believe he’s going to come very soon.
I think we ought to live with that. And also when it says you can’t know the day of the hour, I tell people, doesn’t say you can’t know the week of the month. I think we can. You know, I think Jesus is pretty smart. He’s the creator of the universe and we have an Earth that’s round and we have 24 different time zones. So when you talk about the day or the hour, you know, I understand naval ships like to take their sailors on the International Date Line with Pacific Ocean, part the boat and they will run to the stern and to the bow back and forth and they’re actually crossing from one day to the next and then going back to the previous day by running from one end to the ship to the other.
Isn’t that exciting? Have you? Yes, exciting. And so really, even Even though Christ comes back at a particular moment in time, it could be in some parts of the world, the day before, in some parts of the world it could be the day after, and you don’t know what hour because there are 24 time zones. And so I think you can’t know the day or the hour, but I think you might be able to know the week of the month.
So I challenge you to throw that out of people and we’ll see what happens. We now have Donna down in Avon Park, and Donna, welcome to my blind. And so good to hear from you. Please don’t worry if we can. Wouldn’t that be something? It would be great. Oh boy, would it. Um, have you ever heard of a Steve Walberg? I haven’t, but… WhitehorseMedia.com. Okay. I think that he’s on one of our local channels here. It’s called Faith Channel.
But he is tearing apart the third temple. There is no third temple. Hal Lindsey is wrong. And he goes to the Old Testament, the New Testament, and he’s just looking really hard to fit people, not to believe all this stuff. Well, you know, he’s not alone. There’s a hell… Hey, Hennigrap doesn’t believe in the Rapture. He promotes a book, 10 Reasons Why The Rapture Is Not Gonna Happen, and other books that are Against all of those things, so you need to watch out.
But anyway the guy you’re having to refer to is a seven-day Medicine they do not believe in the Rapture. Well, I just hope that- This is a part of the end times and it talks about how there will be many false teachers Matthew 24 24 and we’re seeing that happen and people are being deceived But if you really want to know the truth, I believe God will steer you to the truth and hopefully Bible and is Sounding out a call to go back to the Bible and pay attention what the Bible says and You can’t come out with all these crazy ideas if you just stick with the Bible here to be right on target That’s right.
So I think he’s a seven-day medicine and that’s why his doctrine is flawed And I mean and that would be on salvation to usually Bad doctrine breeds bad doctrine if he has that wrong And if he’s a sub-nadness, he has salvation wrong because they believe in salvation by works, they don’t believe in hell. They believe in a lot of strange teachings. Right. Well, I haven’t heard enough of him enough to find out about his salvation mess because he’s all…
Well, I’m sure you can go to the website and Google his name and type it next to that false doctrine. Usually there are people that have exposed some of these people. And you can read about their bad doctor. Thank you, Donna. Keep up the good work down there in Avon Park. We have Janice in Tampa, Florida and Janice, welcome to Bibleline. Good to have you on the air. Janice, hello Janice. Well, I guess Janice, are you there? I think Janice is doing something else.
We’re gonna have to go to Shirley in Lakeland, Florida. Sure. Florida. Surely welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes. I could speak about eternal salvation, and I would like for him to explain Hebrews thick for me, and I’ll hang up and listen. Thank you. You’re very welcome. Hebrews 6, 4, 3, 6 is talking to a Jewish audience, it’s called the Book of Hebrews, and they were used to that yearly sacrifice at the temple. And when they would get away from the Lord, they would be used to that sacrifice, so they would think in terms of maybe they have to go back and offer another sacrifice.
Well, that’s really saying that you don’t need another sacrifice. In Hebrews 10, it says, by one offering, Christ hath perfected forever those that are believers. And so in Hebrews 10, 14, we know it’s just by one offering. Now, it’s saying there in chapter 6 that is talking about believers. There are five points that outline these are genuine believers. It says it’s impossible if they fall away. That’s not talking about falling away from salvation. That’s impossible. But falling away from serving the Lord and being steadfast with the Lord.
And it says what you need to do is go back and start serving again and God is going to reward you for your faithful labor. It says in verse 10, God is not unrighteous to forget your work in your labor of love. He says he’s talking about things that accompany salvation. He’s not talking about your salvation. But if you go back and try to become saved again, look at what it says in verse 6. It’s impossible to become saved again.
And then it tells you that if you do that, you’re crucifying Christ all over again to yourself. Obviously he’s never going to die again, but you’re crucifying him to yourself again. And what does it say? putting him to an open shame. So anybody that goes back and tries to become saved again is putting Christ to an open shame and crucifying Christ all over again to themselves. What the Bible is saying is that the one-time sacrifice of Christ was efficient to save you eternally.
So you don’t go back and become saved again, you go back and start serving again. And so if you get away from the Lord and you’re not serving the Lord, don’t go back and try to become saved again, go back and start serving again and it says that God is not going to be unrighteous to forget whatever you labor you do. He will reward you for your faithful service. Hope that helps Shirley. Thank you so much for your call from Lakeland, Florida.
We have an anonymous caller from Belgrade, Florida and an anonymous. Welcome to my Hello, Dr. Hank. Hey. What are you creating explaining to me? the front of them, the first chapter of fifth verse. Alright, I’m turning over there right now. And let’s see. Song of Solomon. I’m almost there. And chapter 1, verse 5, is that right? Yes, sir. Okay, I’m almost there. Here we go. Chapter 1 and one more page here. Here we go. It says, I am black, but comely, and you, daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Qidar, as the curtains of Solomon, looked up on me because I am black.
So it’s talking here about a black woman. Who would cut a curtain of Qidar? The king of Qidar. Well, I think that’s a particular area. I think you buy and get your Bible map and take a look as to where that region was. But you know, it’s unlike the buildings of Tampa or Chicago or Belgrade’s downtown. They had tents. So wherever that settlement was is the area that you’re talking about. All right. Thank you very much. Okay. I don’t know if I was of help to you or not.
We’re not going to go to Carl in Tampa, Florida. and call welcome to my land you’re on the yeah i think i need to ask you about on uh… the different ministers on the radio and other years favor him but what do you think about uh… michael u-saf and i’ll just have to listen and uh… i’ve heard michael u-saf mix a little work into salvation it’s so hard to find somebody who is pure grace without works and uh… uh…
but i’ve heard him He’s closer to the truth than most, but again I’ve heard him mix it up. It’s amazing how the devil is clever and the invitation is when he generally will get a preacher to add a little bit of works in there and the Bible says in Galatians 5-9, a little 11, 11 of the whole lump. So all you have to do is have a little yeast in that bread and it will puff the whole thing up and put it full of holes.
So in the same way, a little bit of work’s added to salvation is enough to corrupt the message. And you have to listen carefully. That’s all I can say and compare what you’re hearing against the Bible. Check me out as well. Make sure that what I’m saying is in line with Scripture and that’s why I quote the Bible and refer people to the Bible because I’m not the authority the Bible is and hopefully that will help you. We’re now going to go Carl to Jean in St.
Petersburg and Jean welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Hi Dr. Lunschter. I believe that if you trust God and believe in your state, but I have a friend who, well my question is do you believe that if you don’t believe everything the Bible says, you still think? I mean some people, my friend, he doesn’t believe parts of the Bible. I’m not sure about the right to see you in that kind of book. Well I think that’s possible, but he needs to grow in his knowledge and recognize that all the Bible.
I like taking him of the 316, all scriptures given by inspiration of God. That’s everything from Genesis 1 to 1 to Revelation 22. And obviously he is not believing that, but he doesn’t have to believe all of that to be saved. He has to trust Christ that he’s God who took on flesh and paid his sin debt. But I think if he gets into the Bible, my series on 1 Peter and 2 Peter is powerful on the Bible being the Word of God and would be a great series maybe to get him to listen to, but the Bible is claimed for itself that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and not just part of it, every bit of it.
And I believe every bit of the Bible from cover to cover. I believe the cover says holy Bible, and I believe it’s not a book full of holes, but it is God’s holy word. So hopefully that helps. He can be saved without confidence in all the Bible being true. We now have Janice and Kimba and Janice welcome to my You are on the air. Hello, I’m okay. Yeah. Yes, I have two questions. I’d like to ask you what you think of PDJ and John A.G.
and also to our heard you said before like you get all your family were saved based upon you bring them over to Christ. If you want to all of your best, get someone to put them to contact or to come on with the crack. Let’s say they could put it to them. I will end up in this one. Okay. We have a wonderful book that is called How To. It’s called A Handbook of Personal Evangelism and it tells you what to say.
When to open your mouth, what to say when your mouth is open and how to close it down and invite them to trust the Lord. And it’s powerful. He could give you lots of ideas so that you could be creative and lead your family and friends to Christ. I would recommend that highly. You can call and order that book. I also have a 10-hour teaching, How to Lead a Soul to Christ. I think that would be very helpful also to train you and prepare you to lead someone to Christ.
But very definitely John Hay believes you could lose your salvation. Obviously that’s a serious bad doctrine. He’s a good presenter, a very talented fellow. And obviously a lot of followers, but his doctrine on salvation is seriously flawed as he believes you can lose that salvation. Well, we’re out of time here, and thank you, Janice, for that call. We are going to have celebrating the Fourth of July tomorrow, but we’ll celebrate also at our church on Sunday. If you want to come by, we’re having a 10-30 service celebrating the country’s birthday, And then we’re going to be, of course, having a picnic with hot dogs and hamburgers and apple pie and chips and all these kind of things.
We invite you, if you’re nearby, to come. And of course you can always catch our worship service on the internet by going to Bible and ministries.org. If you haven’t given to Bible and this is the month of July, we could really ease your help. We are totally dependent upon our listeners and we trust God every day and miraculously and wonderfully. So far he’s kept us on the air another week. We just never know. And we can use your help right now.
And we’re… I’m not. The Bibleline is the only way to get your money. We’re trying to keep Bibleline out there and reaching people, especially the new areas that we’re on. We don’t have a basis of support there and we need your help to be able to carry those until we get an audience that will support the program there. So call in and give a gift by credit card over the phone, or call in and get an envelope sent to you with our address on it, and mail you gift in to Bibleline.
If you haven’t trusted Christ as your Savior, then whisper this prayer to say, Lord, I am a sinner, and we all are. But God, what I heard made sense that I trust Jesus Christ right now. As the one who died and shed his blood to pay for my sin debt and full was buried and rose again from the dead, I trust Jesus right now to save me and God will. I’m Dr. Englunds from Saying Goodbye. So pass that word on to your friends and get them to tune in. Don’t forget we have a resource center. We can send you a resource sheet where you can order and we have some great stuff and we are obviously trying to get you in tune with the books that I recommend that I think will be helpful to you in your Christian growth and keep you doctor myself.
