Well, we’re going to go ahead and take a look at our Bibles, if you have your Bible, they’re open if you will to the book of Galatians, Galatians, and turn if you will to Chapter 5 of the book of Galatians. Those books, they’re four little ones, they’re Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, way I memorize the order of those four books. is by a little jingle general electric Pepsi Cola. So he can easily remember the order of Galatians, Ephesians, flipped his closions by general electric Pepsi Cola.

Give that a try. In Galatians chapter 5 in verse 1, it says, stand fast, therefore, in the Liberty, wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. And that yoke of bondage, by the way, is the law. It’s works. And we have been set free. Once you have trusted Christ, you have been set free. The Bible says, you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. And you know what a wonderful freedom it is to know that you’re not going to hell, that your sins are forgiven, that you are a child of God, that you can know that you’re saved and that you can know that you’re going to heaven.

When you die you’ll be absent from the body, you’ll be present with the Lord. Second Corinthians 5-8. What a great truth that is. But all the time, it seems like the devil is actually to get people to go back and try to add works to salvation. Verse 2 tells us, and this is a powerful verse, Galatians 5, 2 says, Behold, I, Paul, say unto you, that if you be circumcised, if you be circumcised, now circumcision was not only the act that was performed on a young male child, but also then designated those who were lawkeepers from those that were not lawkeepers or the Jews from the Gentiles, the circumcised were those that were keeping the law, and the uncircumcised were those who were not under the law.

And so, generally speaking, the circumcision referred to the Jews, and the uncircumcision referred to the Gentiles. And in 1st Corinthians 7, 19, there’s a great verse. It says circumcision, and uncircumcision is nothing but the keeping of the commandments of the law. So that’s really what this is all about. And this is in verse 2, I Paul, say unto you that if you are keeping the law, if you’re circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. What an incredible verse. Christ will profit you nothing.

And that’s of course, if you are trusting in your works to be saved, Christ will count nothing for you. What does that mean? That means you would go to hell. You won’t want that to happen to you. So it’s very important to recognize that we’re saved by faith in Christ apart from any works or without any works or Jesus alone is the Savior and It says here you have to make up your mind. You can’t have it both ways He says in verse three I testify again to every man that is a law keeper that is Circumcised that he is a debtor to do the whole law So if you’re going to keep the law, you have to keep the whole law in order to be saved.

And the problem is with that is that no one has ever kept the law. Jesus said in John 7, 19, he said, did not Moses give you the law and yet none of you, none of you have kept it? Jesus made it pretty plain. God gave them law through Moses to the Jewish people, but nobody has ever kept the law. Do you know of anybody who has kept the law? I don’t know of anybody except for Jesus Christ himself.

Everyone else has broken the law. The Bible makes that very, very clear. Let me just ask you a question. Have you ever told a lie? If you have ever told one lie, you have broken the law. And if you have broken the law, the penalty for breaking the law is death or separation from God in hell. In other words, one lie would be enough to send you to hell. Is that amazing? Did you know that before now? The Bible tells us in order to enter heaven, you’d have to be as righteous as God and none of us are.

And so if you’re attempting to be righteous by the law or by your works, you’re not going to make heaven. You’re just not going to make it. And Paul is saying in verse 3 here, I testify again to every man that is trying to keep the law to be saved, that he’s a debtor to do the whole law. In other words, you’d have to keep all the law perfectly every day of your life, all of your life. And if you ever just told one lie…

You’d have to pay for that one line by going to hell. In other words, nobody’s ever going to make it into heaven by their works. A little bit earlier in Galatians it says in verse 11 of chapter 3, but that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident. Nobody has ever been saved by the law and no man will ever be justified by the law and the side of God And become eligible to go to heaven.

Now. Here’s the verse. It’s so interesting Relations 5 4 says Christ is become of no effect unto you Whose whoever of you are justified by the law you are fallen from grace Now, what does it mean here that you’re fallen from grace? Well, a lot of people take it that that means you can lose your salvation. And that’s not what it’s saying at all. In fact, grace and salvation are not the same thing. In Titus 2.11 it says the grace of God that bringeth salvation has to appear to all men.

So we learned from Titus 2, 11 that grace is what brings salvation to a person. You cannot receive salvation by the law or by works, but by grace, this grace of God brings salvation to all men. But not everybody saved because not everybody receives the grace of God. Many are trusting to save themselves by their works, and therefore, according to this verse, they are followed from grace. The adjacent salvation are not the same thing. Titus 2.11, the grace of God, bring a salvation.

It’s kind of like the water pipe brings water into your home. But if you’re thirsty, you don’t try to bite down on the water pipe. You don’t try to drink the water pipe. You turn the little spigot connected to the water pipe, It allows the water to flow through the pipe and it’s the pipe that brings the water into your home. And then you can drink the water. But there’s a difference, isn’t there? So the same way, grace brings salvation, but grace isn’t salvation.

And so when you turn the tap by trusting Christ as your only means of heaven, then God’s grace flows to you and you become saved. But if you’re attempting to be saved by your works, then you’re not going to be saved at all. That’s what it’s saying in Galatians 5.4. Crisis become of no effect unto you. It says here you are fallen from grace. Who is fallen from grace? Well, this verse very clearly defines who is fallen from grace because it says here, Christ has become of no effect unto you and notice to whom it is addressed.

So, however of you are justified by the law, in other words, if you’re trying to be justified by works or by the law, you are fallen from grace. You will have Christ count nothing for you. You will not enter heaven. You will be lost. And it’s talking here to those that are trying to be saved by work. So, it’s not a saved person being lost that is talking about. It’s talking about a lost person not becoming saved because they turn away from or fall from the grace that’s offered to them that brings salvation to all those that would place their trust in Christ.

Verse 5 switches gears here and it talks about the believer we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith in contrast to those in verse 4 who are trying to be saved by their works. Kind of interesting here but if you’re rightly dividing the Bible Look at verse 4. It says several times, u, u, u, u, u, u, and in verse 5 it switches to we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we. Notice it very carefully.

u, u, u, u, in verse 4 and verse 5, we, we, we, we, we, we. Let’s take a look at it. Verse 4, Christ has become of no effect unto you. Now, who is the you? Well, it says here, whosoever of you that are justified by the law, you are fallen from grace. So who’s following from grace? The lost person who’s trying to be saved by their works is following from grace And he is the one that Christ will count nothing for and that would mean obviously you would wind up in hell But verse 5 now is talking to the believer and it says we in the writer of the book of Galatians The Apostle Paul includes himself in that we we through the spirit wait for the hope of righteousness or the expectation of righteousness by by faith.

So verse 4 is to the lost, u, u, u, u, u. Verse 5 is to the believer, we, we, we, we, we. And unless you pay close attention, you really will get all mixed up. I’ll never forget I was in a Christian bookstore and I overheard a conversation over in the next aisle where they were talking about losing your salvation and the one guy in order to defend his position said the Bible says clearly that you can fall from grace.

I couldn’t stand it. I walked around and I jumped into the conversation and I said I couldn’t help it over here you guys Disgusting this doctrine, but I said do you know where it says in the Bible you can fall from grace neither one knew I Said can we go ahead look that up Let’s go over to the Bible section and get a Bible and I did and I pulled it off the shelf and I showed him Galatians 5 4 4.

Galatians 5, 4 is not talking about a safe person being lost, but a lost person never becoming saved. It says Christ has become of no effect unto you. And who is the you, who is, so ever, of you that are trying to be saved by work, so are you justified by the law? You are the one who is lost. You are the one who has fallen from grace. And remember, grace is not salvation. Grace brings salvation, and they obviously reject salvation that It comes by grace, by attempting to be saved by works.

But verse 5 says, but we, the believer, through the Spirit, wait for the expectation of righteousness how? By faith. We become saved by faith. And once you trust the Lord, you can never be lost. You’re saved forever. Christ makes a promise in John 637 that Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. And even better, in verse 39, he says, this is the Father’s will, John 639, that of all All which have given me Christ said I should lose none.

None, none, not even one, but raise them up to get into the last eight. So according to John 639, if you have come to Christ, he will not lose you. In fact, if one person in all history were ever lost after they became saved, Christ would be a liar. The Bible would be wrong, and we might as well lie to match and walk away from it all. The promise is made that not only would he not cast you out, but John 639, he would not lose you.

In fact, he says, I will not lose one. Not one person in all of history has ever been lost, nor will ever be lost, because once you become saved, Christ not only saves you, but He keeps you saved, and you’re saved forever expanses. I’m Dr. Inklyn St. Mrs. Byblad, and we’re going to go to the phone lines here if you You want to call us. The number is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. We hope you’ll give us a call. We’d love to hear from you and we’ll try to answer your question if we possibly can.

We have Yvonne in Hopewell, Virginia, and she says, could you please explain for me, 2 Corinthians 7 verse 10. And so we’re going to turn over there and take this offer a question. Thank you for calling in with that question, Yvonne. This is 2 Corinthians and it’s chapter 7 and it says in verse 10, for Godly sorrow, work of repentance, to salvation not to be repented of. Well, there’s several things going on here. It says here, notice that sorrow is not repens.

It says, Godly sorrow, worketh repens. No, that word repent there. It comes from the Greek word metanoia and it means a change of mind. So it’s saying here that in some cases, Godly sorrow can bring about a change of mind repentance to salvation. Then the phrase there, not to be repented of, is a metamilitos in the Greek and it means irrevocable. It means that God does not change his mind and once you become saved, God will not lose you.

So it’s saying here that once, if Godly sorrow brings about that change of mind that brings about salvation when you trust Christ as your Savior, it is irrevocable. It’s a change of mind that cannot be undone. Once you trust Christ, you can never be lost. Another verse where this not to be repented of, which means irrevocable, it’s a metamelethos in the Greek. It’s in Romans 11, 29, which is a favorite verse of mine, one of my favorites. And it It says over here that if you have trusted Christ, you’re stuck.

You have to go to heaven when you like it or not. Let me quote the exact verse. This is Romans 11, 29. It says the gifts and calling of God. Salvation is referred to as the gift of God. the gifts which… The gift of God is eternal life. The calling of God are without repentance. Those two words without repentance are the same. A metabilitas, only two times in the New Testament is it used. And it means here that there is no change of mind or that it’s irrevocable.

So it’s really saying here, it could be translated, the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. In other words, once you receive the gift of God, once you become saved, I tell people you’re stuck Celt Rarity bigot().itbart, you have to go to heaven whether you like it or not so i hope that helps you find is saying here that godly sorrow can bring about a change of mind to salvation where you trust christ is your savior but then you cannot undo that because it is not changeable it says a mecha milatose and mecha means change and a in front of it means no change And so once you do change your mind and trust Christ, then it’s impossible to reverse it.

It’s irrevocable. You cannot obviously be lost once you become safe. We’re now going to go to Jacksonville, Florida. We have an anonymous caller and welcome to my blinder on the air. Good morning, Dr. Lesrung. I’m glad you’re talking about that this morning because I was reading through the Stick or De-Dominations doctrine last night and I was a little bit disturbed by what I read about They said they do not believe in theMasked Always Safe Theory. See if I can try to explain this quickly, if I can hang up and listen to you.

I’m in the car driving if I don’t have a doctorate with me. But they do basically say that they believe that you can be lost, that once you make a decision to be saved, that you could still lose your salvation. They use two different verses. I think one was in the book of Revelations on place where it says that your name can be taken from the book of life. I think the other ones were in Hebrew, I’m not sure where it says that they were once believers and then turned away.

So they’re using that to show that you can be a loss like by choice, that you start to spin, you’re not allowing the Holy Spirit to bring you into a state of true repentance and regeneration. And basically you’re choosing to not live a holy life. Once you were saved, you continue to go out and commit to saying that sins that you were always doing, therefore you’re rejecting the Holy Spirit to lead you into a state of holiness. you choose to be lost but they use those in Hebrews where it says you were once believers they were once believers among us and they left and then the second one is about revelation where they take your name out of the life so I want you to touch on that and I’m going to hang up and hear you better.

What denomination was that? Oh shit she’s already gone. Well obviously that is totally false. It would contradict everything else in the Bible. In Revelation when it talks about your name, be bothered out. That’s talking about an unbeliever who dies in Unbelief and his name is stricken from the book at the moment of death once you become a believer Revelation 3 5 says that he says Iormons will not blot out your name out of the book of life So believerimation will never haverational name come out of the book But the unbeliever will have his name stricken at death because he is not trusted in the Lord.

In the book of Hebrews, it’s talking there about believers who maybe get away from the Lord, but they have to get serving again, not go back and try to be good, because it says, it’s impossible in chapter 6 to become saved again once you become lost. I think she was talking about the assemblies of God, and obviously that doctor is wrong. It teaches you can lose your salvation is teaching false doctrine because when you think about it, it’s talking about works They’re saying that from this point right now Where you are until the day you die that if you live your life Faithfully you’ll go to heaven, but if you don’t in your backsliding now you’ll go to hell That’s works because that means what you do between now and death determines your salvation that makes you the Savior not Christ and obviously it’s works and there’s no other way to explain it.

So that’s false doctrine, major false doctrine if a church believes you can lose their salvation. We’re gonna say goodbye to Miami for the first half hour but we’re glad now we have a second half hour so you and Miami folks can come back and catch us again for another half hour. We have Albert in Richmond, Virginia and Albert welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes sir I missed your program for about a week, but I try to ask you to be one question a day to be considered a other call of.

Didn’t you say in First Corinthians 14 that the reason unknown is an italics because it’s unknown to the speaker? And if that’s so, then how do you know that? It’s unknown to the hero. The word unknown in every case there is an italics. That means it’s not in the original manuscripts. The italicized words and the Bible are added by the translators to try to make this sense of the verse clear. And what they were trying to let us know was that if you’re speaking a known language To a group that doesn’t understand that it’s unknown to the hearer, not to the speaker.

So the real gift of tongues was always a known language. And he was telling the Corinthians to think about what they were doing. He said, except he speak by the tongue words easy to be understood. How shall it be known what is spoken? So what they were doing in the Corinthians Church was speaking a foreign language that nobody understood. They should have been speaking in Greek. They’re in Corinth, Greece. And they were speaking in a foreign language that nobody understood.

And he said, you’re wasting everybody’s time. So in every case a language that was unknown to the hearer, it was unknown language but unknown to the hearer. And that’s the misuse in Corinthians that I was talking about. I’m going to talk about the Bibleline radio with Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We’re gonna have to go to break here and do a second half hour. We’re now going to turn to the phone calls again and we have Robert in Petersburg, Virginia, but let me give you that phone number first.

1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771, and Robert, welcome to Bible Iron from Petersburg, Virginia. Robert, you’re on it. Hey, good morning. Well, first I have a question. I think I’m here for you to say you have a book that explains every verse or every mind in the Bible is that true? We do. That’s the Jameson Foset Brown commentary and we have it for a gift of $100 to buy a line. I think it goes for $140 or $50 in the bookstore. In the regular bookstore, in our bookstore, it goes for $100 and that will help buy a line a little bit too.

You can call and order that later after the program and we invite you to do that. question is could you explain the beat? Revelation chapter 12 verse 9 and 10. Okay, I’ll be happy to do that. Revelation chapter 12 verses 9 and 10 is talking here in Revelation chapter 12 about the nation of Israel and that during the tribulation period after the rapture that there is going to be a battle over the atmosphere around the earth. And if you notice what it says here in verse 9 says that great dragon was cast out, he’s identified here as being the devil and Satan who is the one who deceives the whole world and he’s cast out onto the earth.

Now that happens three and a half years after the Rapture, dead center in the middle of the tribulation period, and the Antichrist or Satan rather will be losing the control of the airspace around the planet. In Ephesians 2-2, a Satan is called the Prince of the Powder of the Year, he controls the atmosphere around the earth. But he’s going to lose that as the way for Christ to come back and take over the earth is prepared during the tribulation period.

The first thing God is going to do here is take out his airspace and he will be cast down onto the earth. And then this is here in verse 10. I heard a loud voice. He is saying in heaven, now is come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ for the accuser of our brethren is cast down. So let’s talk to you about how salvation will come now for the earth as Jesus will come back and deliver the earth from Satan’s power and also from the curse and the earth will be at peace one day.

And then it talks here about Satan being the accuser of believers, which he’s always doing that. He’s always accusing us before the Father. But Jesus Christ is our lawyer. He’s our advocate first John 2-2 and first John 2-1. It says that he is the one who advocates for us before the Father. When Satan says that you or I should be cast into hell, Jesus says that’s true, but I paid for their sins. And so they’re not going to go to hell because I have forgiven them and I’ve given them the gift of everlasting life Hope that helps a little bit Robert A little thing hello.

Yeah, go ahead When you said cast down they wasn’t I cast down from heaven dead just No, this is the atmosphere cabin around the earth And so this is not talking about heaven itself. This is something this future. It hasn’t happened and that happens in the middle of the tribulation And then you’ll notice Satan becomes very angry and he will attack the woman which is Israel here and he tries to destroy Israel and that’s going to be a terrible horrible time for Israel, another Holocaust.

But there will be a remnant that will be miraculously protected in verse 14. It talks about a place where God will nourish them for three and a half years and care for them and that’s the Rock City of Petra I think in southern Jordan where the Jews in Israel will flee across the border and be protected and fed as what God once did before with the manna in the wilderness in the Old Testament. Hey, thank you very much. You’re really welcome Robert and it was Robert in Petersburg.

You know I have Mary and she’s somewhere in Florida I don’t know I guess our operators didn’t get the city but Mary welcome to Bible Eye. Hi. Thank you, first of all, for your ministry on the radio and your patience. And I was thinking about the earlier callers when they called about Philip and his preaching. He went down to Samaria of Acts, chapter 7. Yes, chapter 8. Oh, 8. And it says that he, in verse 12, he preached things concerning the kingdom.

and the name of Jesus and back in Matthew 10, Jesus tells the 12 not to go to the Gentiles or the city of Samaritans. I wonder, would you comment on that please? Now hang up. Okay. Actually, God’s program changed. You know, when Christ was here, He was offering the Kingdom to the Jews. So they were not to bring the offer of the Kingdom to the Gentiles or to the Samaritans, but to Israel only. It says in Matthew 10, go not into the way of the Gentiles, nor into the way of the Samaritans, but go rather to the Wall Street of the house of Israel.

And they were to preach the message of the kingdom being at hand, that Christ was here on the earth, the king, and had they received him as their king. He would have established the kingdom that had been promised to Israel. That’s still going to happen in his second coming, but it has been postponed. And so about halfway through Matthew we find Christ then rejected by the Jews and he turns to the Gentiles and announces that there would be this church age in Matthew 16.

He says, I’ll build my church. And this is a Gentile age. The church is comprised of Jews and Gentiles in one body. And so the message now goes out to the whole world and goes to the Gentiles. And And Jewish people still get saved, but they get saved through Gentile languages and through the Gentiles. The whole gift of tongues was to facilitate that from day one on Pentecost when in order for Jews to hear the gospel and the Gentile language God had to give the miraculous gift, which was rendered unnecessary as the gospel went out further and further in the Gentile territory.

So Mary, that’s really what’s going on there in the book of Acts. Alright, we now have Liz and she is in Prince George. Thank you. Good morning. There are some verses in the Bible that say, He who endures to the end shall lose. I’m sorry. He who endures to the end shall be saved. And these verses are sometimes used by those who believe that you can lose your salvation as proof. But what do these verses really mean? Very good question.

And the answer is, is talking about those living in the tribulation period. that if they live to the end of the tribulation period, they will be saved physically to live into the millennium. Now let me take you over to Matthew 24 and I’ll share with you that verse. It says in Matthew 24, 13, he that shall endure unto the end the same shall be saved. Now if you go over to verse 21, it talks about for then shall be great tribulation, such which is, was not since the beginning of the world of this time, no nor shall ever be, and except those days should be shortened, and they will be.

Christ comes back and ends the tribulation period of just seven years. If He allowed it to go on, and if He allowed the battle of Armageddon to go on uninterrupted, mankind would be destroyed, and there would be nobody left alive on the earth, and that’s what it’s saying here. Except those days should be shortened. There should no flesh be what? saved. So it’s talking about the flesh and it says, but for the Alexite, these days shall be shortened. So what it’s saying here is that those living are living in the tribulation period, if they manage to endure the plagues, the earthquakes, the judgments, the battle of Armageddon and so on, they will be physically saved to live into the Millennial Kingdom.

And it’s not talking about eternal salvation here. So it’s not talking about hanging on there to stay saved and go to heaven, talking about if you’re living in the tribulation period and you managed to endure to the end of it, stay alive, you will be then one of the subjects that will enter into that thousand-year kingdom of Christ that is promised and will take place at the second coming. Okay, now what if you become a believer during the tribulation and your life is taken?

Well then you just go to heaven but you, if you’re going to be one of the subjects in the millennium you have to be alive and obviously the battle of Armageddon is going to take a lot of lives and the tribulation period will take a lot of lives. In fact I think billions are really going to die and so not many will survive but there will be a remnant of believers that will enter into that thousand years and it’s just simply telling us that the ones who endure to the end of the tribulation then will live to live into the millennium and is talking about their flesh is not talking about my eternal salvation is talking met their physical life.

Okay. Thank you very much. You’re very welcome. This time, verse 13 with verse 22, draw a line between him and you got it made. Okay. Thank you. Thank you, Liz. All right. That was Liz in Prince George, Virginia. We now have Matthew in Spring Hill, Florida. Matthew, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Hank. In Schofield’s introduction to the book of Job, he says that he believes that the book was was written before the dispensation of law?

The answer is basically there’s no reference to the law in any of those chapters. And so many believe this is one of the earliest written books in the Bible preceding all the others. Even though Genesis records events earlier, the Book of Job is probably one of the very earliest books. And if you’ll notice the dating that most Bibles have in the margin in the center column of the book of Job, it puts it back about 3,500 years ago. So it’s an old old book and there’s no mention of the tabernacle or Mount Sinai or any of the laws and it appears that we’re living before that.

When they came to worship, it didn’t talk about the tabernacle or the temple which happened much later, but there was a place where the sons of God or the believers came to worship the Lord. And that’s typical of what we see from even Adam and Eve and Cain and Abel. They brought a sacrifice to the Lord. There was an appointed place to come, but later became the tabernacle and later the temple in Jerusalem. So I believe that is the answer there.

Welcome to our new area and let me give you that phone number in case you’d like to call in. We’d love to hear from you folks up in Evansville, Indiana and that surrounding territory and also those of you listening up in Huntington and Charlotte West Virginia. Our phone number here is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. And we’d like to have somebody call us and just say, hey, you’re on the air. We’re hearing the program. Give us a call. 1-800-576-3771. And we would love to hear from you.

Well, we have Jeff in Palm Harbor. He says, the fine repent. And it says here, it sounds like when one repents, in the New Testament they repent from a negative behavior. Well, if you read your Bible really carefully in the book of Acts, it’s always a change of mind about who Christ is. When Peter preached on the day of Pentecost, they had crucified Christ because they thought he was a fraud and imposter blasphemer, but Peter points out that he’s the Messiah and he’s back from the dead just as the prophets had so told what happened.

happen and they said what should we do? Peter said change your mind. And I think you referenced here Revelation 2 21. Let me turn over and see what that verse has to say. But it can be about other things than salvation. But repentance just simply means a change of mind no matter where you are in the In Revelation 2, verse 21, it says, and I gave her space to repent of her fornication, and she repented not. So here it’s talking about change of mind.

And again, by the way, if you read the context here, the fornication was not physical fornication, but it was The spiritual fornication where they turned away from the living God and were worshiping false gods and idols and they needed to change their mind about their false belief system and become saved. So it wasn’t talking about having sex here. In fact, the Bible talks about spiritual adultery. Israel was called the harlot. Why? Because Israel had intercourse with other nations that had false gods and false belief systems and they played the harlot, the Bible says.

And here in Revelation 2 it’s talking about the dark ages where the church departed from the Word and were committing spiritual portugation. They needed to change their mind about that and come back to Jesus as the Savior and trust Him in Him alone. So Jeff, I hope that helps. But that’s really what is talking about. The word repent means a change of mind. But Jeff, to read the context sometimes to figure out what is really going on there. Jose down in Hialeah, Florida calls in with this offer of question, please explain Jesus’ comment.

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? That he spoke on the cross. And I believe And what he is saying there is as the man Jesus becomes sin for you and me and our sins relate upon him, God turned his back on him and forsook him and that is really what spiritual death is all about. Just like Adam in the garden sin and God turned his back on Adam and no longer fellowship with Adam in the cool of the garden.

So Jesus, as the sacrifice for our sins, also experienced being rejected by the Lord, and God turned his back on him, which is spiritual death, and he’s letting us know that that’s what’s taking place on the cross. But this is Jesus as a man calling out to God as he also had God as his father, as a man, was the man who, the sinless man, the God-man who had died to pay for your sins of mind. So he’s talking about his rejection there on the cross.

We have an anonymous caller here. By the way, the phone number again here is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. Anonymous caller calls in and says, when married, a man and his wife become as one. What happens to that oneness when they die and go to heaven? Well you’re no longer married in heaven. In Matthew 22-30 Jesus says that in heaven will be as the angels are, that they are not given in marriage nor do they marry. So there will be no marriage in heaven.

You will recognize, I think, your wife or husband and you’ll recognize your children and will recognize each other in heaven. But you’ll no longer have the husband-wife relationship. There’ll be no more sex or children being born during the millennium. So this will have to realize it is going to pass. We’re all going to be brothers and sisters in God’s family and will not be husband and wife any longer in heaven. So Matthew 2230, I hope that helps for the anonymous call that called in with that one.

We’re not going to go back to Jacksonville, Florida, and we have anonymous again. Welcome to Vivelin. Hi, I just want to ask your question. When you explain about repentance, meaning just the change of mind. Yeah. So are you saying that if a person wouldn’t you say that if a person truly repents? If you are changing your mind about God through the power of the Holy Spirit because He is the one that actually empowers us to change our mind and to want to know Him.

Wouldn’t that result in a change of action? Not necessarily. When you trust the Lord of Savior, when you change your mind about how to become saved and trust Jesus as your Savior, God the Holy Spirit comes into you and gives you the power to have a cure for sin. But the Bible know where it says that your life is necessarily going to change in a positive way. You have examples in the Bible. For example, a lot was the Bible calls him a righteous man, but he lived in Sodom and he obviously had no testimony at all living in Sodom.

And he went down, down, down and away from the Lord his life wound up in ruin. All of his treasures were earthly and he lost them when When Sodom was burned up, he lost all of his savings in the first national bank of Sodom and he lost his home, his boat, his car, and I’m teasing of course. He wound up living in a cave in Zohar and his two daughters get him drunk and have children buy them and he commitments us.

Not a real example. I don’t find too many people are naming their kids a lot. But if you read the Corinthian letters, two long letters written because these were believers, but they were still living in all kinds of sin, and their lives apparently were not changing. The books were written to encourage them to do it and tell them how that they were responsible. They’re going to be cheated of rewards in heaven if they don’t live in the Lord, and plus they’re going to incur God’s discipline upon their life, he’ll spank them, maybe even take them home to heaven early.

But they would still be saved. So the Christian made the side not to live for Christ, and there are penalties. For example, 1 Corinthians 5, 1 talks about a man living in adultery with his stepmother, and he’s proud and puffed up, and he’s not remorseful about that at all as a believer. And it says, verse 5, of 1 Corinthians 5, to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, in other words, let Satan take his life, that the Spirit may be saved in the day of Lord Jesus.

So when Jesus returns, this man will be saved, but God allowed Satan to take his life. Maybe he died of some sexual disease, I don’t know. But in any case, he went home to heaven sooner than he should have because he was going to be persistent living a sinful life, which you cannot get away with. But a Christian can go in the direction. Okay, but even though we’re not saved by words, but the Bible also teaches that you can know that you can know them by their fruit.

So the fruit of the Spirit is not true either. You know, it says you’ll know them by their fruits, not by their works. It’s not talking about their fruit of the Spirit, which is the fruit of the Spirit is the fruit of the Spirit Bears when we yield our lives to obey Him. But the fruit of the Christian, and you’re talking about Matthew 7 and passages where passages where it really tells you how to identify a false teacher. It says that they come in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are raving in wolves, and by their fruit you shall know them.

Then it talks about gathering grapes. You don’t get them off of a thistle bush, but you get them off a grapevine. And so if you are testing whether somebody is a false teacher, all you have to do is examine the fruit that comes to your door. For example, When the Jehovah’s Witnesses come to my door, I don’t have to go to the Watchtower Society up in Brooklyn, New York. I can examine those two… Joe’s Witnesses at my door and ask him a couple of good questions and find out that they are corrupt fruit and therefore the whole organization is corrupt the tree that they came off of.

Hopefully, if you interview anybody that I’ve led to Christ, hopefully you’ll find that they believe the Bible is the Word of God, that God exists as a triune being, that Jesus Christ has guided, took on flesh, that salvation is by faith and cannot be lost, and on and on and on. Hopefully you’ll find that my fruit is good fruit because It’s coming off a good tree and that’s what is talking about not the fruit of the Spirit and Relations five which is the passage you’re referencing there about the fruit of the Spirit It talks about the believer can go either way in verse 18 He warns about if you go after the flesh then you’re gonna reap the results of the flesh in your life which is a murder and strife and inving is in and revelings and drunkenness and all those kind of things.

But if you yield your life to obey the Spirit, then the Spirit will manifest His fruit in your life, which is love and joy and peace and long suffering and gentleness and so on. So it’s not saying that you can get away with living in two pleas, but it does say that you can go either way as a Christian. And if you read the Krinthian letters, many of those are going in the wrong direction. But they were still saved.

Now I advocate everybody live for the Lord. So obviously I encourage people to live for Christ and that’s where the blessings are and that’s where the fruit is. But if you don’t, you’re still saved. But you might wind up in heaven soon and you’re playing ongoing. I’ve buried a lot of people that were Christian but were not living for the Lord and I believe the Lord took them out. I’m talking about Christians in their twenties that shouldn’t have died at all.

But if I’ve turned to God wouldn’t that mean that I’ve turned from something? No, not from and well whatever you’re previously trusting him but not turned to him from from anything else say the turning is The word repent means that you change your mind. I’m out of time And I wish I had more time to talk with you about this, but we’ll be back again tomorrow I’m dr.
