And then of course, if you want to leave your question off here, you can do that and you can actually send that to us via the Internet if you would like to. We’re going to turn over to 1 John chapter 2 in our Bibles.

And that’s way back by the book of Revelation. If you have your Bible there, turn if you will to 1 John. I call it sometimes high test, regular John, the regular gospel of John as the fourth book of the New Testament. But 1 John and 2 John and 3 John are the three epistles that John wrote. Also John is the human writer of the book of Revelation that makes five of the New Testament books have been contributed by John the Apostle.

This is an exciting book and you notice in this book he tells us something that is at the core of Christianity and that is Jesus Christ and who he is. We find here that John tells us in 1 John chapter 2 verse 22, who is he that is a liar but he that believeth or denyth rather that Jesus is the Messiah, is the Christ. He is antichrist that denyeth the Father and the Son. We find here that the spirit of antichrist, the spirit of Satan against Christ, is expressed by the denial of the person of Christ.

We find that all the cults seem to do this. They directly attack the deity of Christ. We find here that it says in verse 23, Whose lover denyeth the sun the same? have not the Father. So you don’t have the Father unless you have the Son. And if you deny the Son, you do not have the Father. By the way, Islam does the same thing. The Quran directly attacks the Lord Jesus Christ and the Gospel. The Quran teaches that Jesus Christ is not the Son of God.

The Quran teaches that Jesus Christ is not the Messiah. The Quran teaches that Jesus Christ did not die to pay for the sins of the world. The Quran teaches that Christ did not die at Calvary, that someone who looked like Jesus died, that Jesus Christ did not come back from the dead, and so on and so on. So Islam and the cults and others deny the deity of Christ, and as a result, they will not be saved according to the Bible.

the way for the son. Verse 23, verse 1, 2, it says the same hath not the Father. In other words, you don’t have the Father unless you have the Son. If you read the rest of the verse, it says he that acknowledges the Son the same hath the Father also. So this is really the major heart beat of the Bible, Jesus Christ and who He is and to reject Him is to be forever lost. Over in 1st John chapter 5 and verse 11, God says, this is the record.

I love this verse. It’s God really setting the record straight. And He says, this is the record that God has given to us eternal life and this life is in His Son. What an amazing verse. What a great verse. What a grand verse. It tells us here from God’s own mouth, three things that are quite significant. And this is the record, 1 John 5’11, that God hath given. Number one, eternal life is a gift. You cannot earn it. You do not deserve it.

You cannot buy it. You can’t purchase it. It’s not available on eBay. The only way you can get eternal life is directly from God and only by trusting Jesus Christ as your Savior. If you try to get to heaven any other way, you’re not going to make it. It then says He gives to us eternal life. It’s not a trial period, it’s not probation, it’s not life until you commit a sin. It’s eternal life. So many people have trouble with this.

That eternal life is a gift and given at the moment you trust Christ, you receive it and possess it forever and thereafter. And then lastly, it says this life is in his son. So eternal life is in a person. It’s not in a denomination. It’s not in a set of rules. It’s not in what you do or what you do not do. all wrapped up in Christ himself and verse 12 makes that super clear. First John 5 12 says, he that has the Son has life and he that has not the Son of God has not life.

In other words, if you have Christ, you have life. If you do not have Christ, you do not have life. All those who have Christ have life and will go to heaven. All those who do not have Christ do not have life and will go to hell. There is no little ground here. There is no purgatory. There is no limbo. There is no other place for a person to go. When you die, you’ll either go to heaven or you’ll go to hell based upon whether or not you have Christ.

And you receive Christ by trusting on His name that He is the Lord who died on the cross and paid for your sin was buried and rose again from the dead. Look at you at verse 13 now where it says, these things God says, have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that you may K-N-O-W. Not hope, not guess, not perhaps, not maybe, but you can actually know that you have eternal life and that is a written guarantee.

I discovered this verse when I first got saved and I knew I had eternal life. I knew I was going to heaven. I knew I was saved. Why? Because God said so. First John 5, 13, these things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have. He said, You can actually know that you haven’t. How wonderful that is to know to be assured of. If you’re not sure, my friend, about where you would spend eternity, chances are you’ve never understood it or you’ve never trusted Christ or you’ve been confused by bad teaching.

But right now, you could trust Jesus as your Savior and receive the wonderful gift of eternal life. How? Just whisper prayer. Just say, God, right now. I trust Jesus Christ as my Savior. It’s not the prayer that saves, it’s trusting Christ that saves. And just tell the Lord, Lord, right now I trust Jesus Christ as the one who died and paid for my sins by his death and shed blood. And when you trust that he did that and was buried and rose again from the dead, God saves you and saves you eternally.

He puts it in writing and says, I’ve written this to you that believe on the name of the Son of God so that you may know K-N-O-W that you have present tense verb, you possess right now, everlasting life. That would be the best thing you’ll ever hear. And you know, when we die, you better have trusted Christ or you’re in deep trouble because Because at the moment of death, it’s too late. You cannot do anything for the dead. There are churches that teach you can pray for the dead, you can intercede for the dead for the dead, you can make offerings for the dead, you can say prayers for the dead.

That is absolutely forbidden in the Bible. Once a person dies, it’s too late. It’s very important if you’re a believer to make sure that your family, your friends, loved ones get saved before they die. Because once they die, it’s too late. The Bible says it’s appointed and then once to die and then the judgment. Once you die, it’s too late. If you haven’t trusted Christ, you are lost and you are lost forever. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and we’re going to go to the phone lines.

The phone number here at Bibleline is 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to go to Belgrade, Florida and we have Arthur on the line. Arthur, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, how you doing this morning? Good morning. Okay. My question is that if you have a pastor or a beacon to follow the sin and is it any scripture in the Bible that teaches us how do you go about dealing with their sins? And is it different than if you were just a layman, a brother layman that falls in sin?

Is they dealing with the same? They’re dealing with the same way. The book of Galatians has a great, wonderful bit of advice there really for dealing with anyone and that is it says brethren in chapter six of Galatians verse one, if a man be overcome or overtaken in a fault, you which are spiritual restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. So here’s a wonderful passage that deals with bringing a person back online that has fallen into sin.

But obviously it tells you there the ones that are spiritual to deal with the problem. It talks here about how to approach that person. Restore such a one in the spirit of meekness. It says, considering yourself, less so also be tempted. And obviously if you’re talking to a spiritual leader, you need to entreat them as a father, as you would your own father, and deal with them on that type of basis with respect. And hopefully that gives you some guidelines that are a little bit at least to help you get going.

Okay, so even if they fall into the temptation of speaking or a pastor, there’s no way in the description that this and the church have a right to sit them down? Well, of course, depending on what they’ve done, but you know, everybody sins, but if you’re talking about some major sin, obviously, if one of your deacons shoots another church member, You can miss murder, they’re going to have to be arrested and incarcerated and maybe spend the rest of their life in prison or go to the electric chair or be…

He’s a professor of the death penalty. So it just depends on the consequence of what kind of sin it is. And that has to be weighed out by those that are spiritual in the church if it is a church related matter as far as their leadership. But they may have put themselves in a situation where they’re not able to lead. All right. Thank you very much. It’s kind of hard to answer this over the over the air without knowing all of the details.

And that’s of course something that you probably ought to deal with as a future leader with the leaders in your church. Sure do you thank you, others, for calling in. We’re now going to go to Kathy in Northport, Florida. And Kathy, welcome to my one. Oh, thank you, sir. I have a question about the war in Iraq and the threat of war in Iran. And I heard you talk one kind of about where it goes from there on down to Russia or China.

Could you enlighten me with that, please? Well, you know, the Bible tells us that all of that area around Israel is going to be taken over by the Antichrist. It tells us in Micah chapter 4, beginning in verse 1 in the latter days, Christ will come back and obviously rule over the earth and establish His Kingdom from the sanctuary, the third temple that will be rebuilt in Jerusalem. And it tells us there in the latter part of chapter 4 of Micah that all the countries surrounding Israel would not be paying attention to the Bible.

either Islam and do not, and they would not understand God’s plan, and they would hate Israel, want to see Israel destroyed, and yet at the same time they would want Jerusalem to become their capital, and they would have their eye on Jerusalem. And the Bible tells us there that Christ will come back at the Second Coming and judge all the unsaved on the earth and destroy them. And so they’ll all really be taken away, and those that are of Israel that get saved after the Rapture during the tribulation will inherit all that land and finally become the possessors of all the land promised to Abraham which would take you from the Euphrates River in Iraq all the way down to the Nile River in Egypt.

And that’s going to happen. I think rather soon, I think we’re already on course for all of this, and the man that will take over all of the core countries there during the tribulation before Christ comes back and judges and destroys them is called in chapter 5 of Micah the Prophet, the Assyrian. And if you look at a map of what was ancient Assyria, it drew in a counter-clock direction from what is now Saudi Arabia up through Iraq and Syria and down through Lebanon, Israel, and all the way down into Egypt.

And it’s interesting that whole territory will be taken over militarily by the West. We’ve already got our feet there in Iraq, but Saudi Arabia is going to be taken over. Syria will be taken over. country of Lebanon will be taken over, and Israel will actually be militarily invaded and taken over and Egypt will by the Antichrist. He’s called the Assyrian, and the one that will defeat him and bring peace in the Middle East, according to chapter 5, is the one that was born in Bethlehem 2000 years ago, as Micah 5.2 says, but thou Bethlehem Ephrata, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of these shall come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been from the old, even from everlasting.

So the one who has been from everlasting who took on human flesh in Bethlehem will have absolutely a conquer all of that. We’re living in the last days. If you go back to Genesis at the Tower of Babel, God there destroyed the Tower of Babel and confounded the languages of the people and scattered the people worldwide. And that was the founding of the nations. And the Bible said in the last days, when the world nations would come back to Iraq, that’s when Christ would come back.

And so we’re back to Iraq today. That’s where Babylon was in Iraq. And you’ll find that they had one world religion, they had one world government, and one world language. We’re rapidly pushing toward that right now. And you see it all the time, talked about a world government. we have these World Trade Agreements and we have everything as a World Bank and world everything and that’s all a part of the end times. And of course the World Church and we’re living I think right on the edge of being raptured out and then the seven years of tribulation will come upon the earth.

The Antichrist will take over the Middle East. And then Christ will come back and defeat him and Israel will be the head nation under your throat and his reign. A lot of exciting things, huh? Oh yeah, we’re really watching the news unfold in our newspapers at the Bible, spoken about thousands of years ago. Yeah, sure sounds like it. Well, thank you so much for that answer and I have one more quick question. Okay, Kathy. Are there different levels of health?

There are different degrees of punishment in hell, but not different levels. It says in a number of places that there is a different degrees of punishment in Matthew Chapter 23. He talked about the religious leaders who not only were not saved, but were misleading others as to how to be saved, that they would receive a greater degree of damnation in hell. Matthew 11 talks about cities that rejected greater light concerning Christ, would be held more accountable and would have a greater degree of punishment in hell according to Matthew 11 and so on.

And numerous other passages that talk about some getting a greater degree of punishment than others. Okay. Well, thank you so much for taking my call and you have a great day. Well thank you Kathy and that’s Kathy down in North Port Florida. We now have Sheila in Clearwater Florida and Sheila. Welcome to Bibleline. Hi. I have a couple of questions I’d like to ask you. One is about being divorced as far as pastors are concerned. Do you think it makes a difference if your pastor came to Christ?

he was divorced or he’s been a pastor, he’s been divorced because I won’t sit under when I’ve been looking for a church and I won’t sit under anybody, it’s been divorced and I was wondering if it made a difference if they’ve been divorced like before they came to the Lord or the divorce is just a divorce Well, I think divorce is a divorce and in Titus it talks about the elder or the deacon being the husband of one wife and I take it that means in their entire lifetime and it doesn’t mean that they can’t serve but today because of the divorce rate being so great in Florida I know it’s over 50% of first-time marriages fail 75% of second-time marriages fail and 95% of third time marriages fail.

So we got a real predicament and so most churches therefore because it doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of difference whether it’s the secular world or the church, there’s a lot of divorced people that are attending church. So to find leadership that haven’t been divorced is very difficult so a lot of churches bend the rules and they allow for elders, deacons and pastors to be divorced. But I believe that that should not be. And, you know, of course it’s difficult to find sometimes those who can serve in leadership who have not been.

But they can’t, that doesn’t mean they can’t serve. They can be used in a mighty way. But they just can’t be in those positions. I think the reason why is because that’s a role model position for the families and the children. And if the children and the families in the church say, well the pastor’s been divorced, I guess it’s alright for us to be divorced. I agree. That’s exactly what I think God is against. I was in a church where the pastor, you know, it all broke up in front of the church and then afterwards.

And he used to teach Bible classes and he’d always teach that when a marriage breaks up, it’s usually the man’s fault. And then after, of course, he got a divorce of life left and then it was her fault. remarried and I won’t go to the church. I left the church when he was getting divorced because I just don’t believe. I mean, I’m divorced myself but I don’t believe in it. But I wanted to ask you something about a church I went to.

At the end, I’ve been trying to find one close to home because I’m getting tired of drive. And in the pastor at the end of his sermon was talking about the word. He went the word is the Holy Spirit The word is the Holy Spirit. Yeah Anyway, the word is the Holy Spirit well to me the word is Jesus amen and I I’m wondering you know, I didn’t go back because I thought you know, I mean Well, you’re right on.

You know, if you go to John’s Gospel, chapter 1 says in the beginning was the word. The word was with God and the word was God. And it says in verse 14 he was made flesh and gold among us. It’s talking about Christ. And so the word is a title for the second member of the Godhead. And in 1 John, chapter 1 also defines Jesus as being the word. So I think obviously he’s off. I’m out of time here.

Thank you for that. Call Sheila. We’re going to take a break here and come back. We’re going to do a second half hour so we don’t go away, but we’re going to kind of wind up the program. Good to be with you. I hope you had a wonderful, safe holiday over the weekend. And this is a brand new week for us. I hope if you haven’t given to Bible and this month, you would help us out. We need to get all the help we can to get through this summer as it’s a leaner time giving wise.

If you would call in, you could give a gift by credit card or you could call in and ask for a non-vote to be sent and mail your gift in. We’re trying to make sure that we keep on the air and every place where we’re on the air right now and we need your help to be able to do that. We’re going to take this short break. We’ll come right back into a second half hour. So stay tuned and don’t go away.

I’m Dr. Engvenstrom. I’ll be right back. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. All right. It’s great to be with you and thank you for tuning into Bibleline. And this is a brand new week. It’s the 7th of July. It’s a Monday and we hope to have a real good week and we hope that you’ll listen and we hear from people all the time that tell us they listen every day.

We’ve had people call us early this morning even from Massachusetts and other Of course. of the country and we have listeners that are listening from really all over the world as they can access our programs from the internet which is really quite remarkable. What a day we’re living in with the technology such that we can actually be out there worldwide 24 hours a day, seven days a week. So if you have your computer, you’ll be able to go to BibleLineMinistries.org and then you have access to everything we do.

You’ll have access to our radio programs, our television programs, our worship services, all of that are available to you 24-7. And I hope you’ll take advantage of that. By the way, we are listening to support it and we I really hate to talk about money, but we don’t have any other means of support. One of the things you ought to know probably is we don’t pay any salaries. So all the monies really get the maximum use because we put it right back into paying for air time.

And we’ve stretched ourselves right out there to the edge because we believe we’re running against the clock. And that is that Jesus is coming and we don’t want to be just waiting around and not using every resource and every opportunity we have to spread out as far as we can. So pray for Bible and if you would and pray for me, pray for our staff here. We have all volunteers that work with the Bible and radio and we are amazed at what God has allowed us to accomplish with a small team.

And we believe that that’s the way God works. He of course wants to include you in a partnership with us where you’ll receive the Rewards and blessings that we’ll receive as we partner together to accomplish this job if you would Pray for us and give to Bible and that would be wonderful And I want to thank you and advance and thank all of you who are already Giving and praying God bless you and thank you so much. Don’t forget on our website.

We also have Bible and ministry a rather music for children and that’s really powerful for reaching your children for Christ. If you don’t have a computer you can call and get the 800 number where they’ll actually help you through that over the phone and you can sample the music and choose a recording for your grandchild. While we’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break into the second half hour Bibleline so keep you radio right where it is.

Would you like to call by the line and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bibleline. It’s great to be with you and we’re into our second half hour. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor. And you’re always welcome to come by and visit us here at our headquarters and also visit our resource center and you can join us for our worship services.

By the way, online you can get everything. You can get our radio programs, our worship services, you can get our television programs, and you can visit our online bookstore. I hope you’ll do that, and we’d love to have you do that. Our phone lines are all lit up. We want to get to those phone lines as quickly as we can. We also have lots of off-air questions, so it looks like a busy Monday, but we’re glad to be with you and thank you for your prayers and your support.

We thank God for all of you who keep Bible on the year. Hope you had a great weekend. We did. And I hope you enjoyed your holiday and are safe and sound. And we hope that a lot will be accomplished for Christ over the summer here. And maybe at the end of the summer, September 30th, we’ll be out of here. I don’t know. But the Feast of Trumpets is the most reasonable day for the Rapture whatever year it happens.

And if the Lord were to come this year, it means that we’ve got about two and a half months, maybe a little bit more than two and a half months and we’ll be meeting the Lord in the air. Won’t that be something? Well, we’re gonna go to West Virginia. We have Myron and Myron. Thanks for being so patient from West Virginia. Welcome to Bible Eye. Hold on. You’re on the air.

Myron, you’re on the air right now. You’re on the radio. I am. Well, I think my station must have went off because something about change in station. Well, what they do is the AM goes off in a half hour, but on the FM there goes off in a half hour, but the AM goes up a full hour. So if you switch over to the AM station, you get your full hour of the program. But you’re on the air with me.

Oh, thank you for taking my call. You’re welcome. My question is, I was given some literature at church last night that kind of floored me and they were saying they’re president and I’ve always loved their president and backed him and prayed for him. They’re saying he has turned against Israel now and is trying to, well it’s really our government pressuring Israel to hand the gold and the heist over the Syrians as part of the road-mapped peace. Is our present really turned against Israel?

Well, obviously his road map to peace is dissecting Israel and it’s all about giving pieces of Israel away for peace in the Middle East. And I believe that that is terribly wrong. In Joel chapter three, it talks about how God, when he comes back, or Christ when he comes back, will judge the nations for having parted his land. And that’s exactly what’s happening right now. Well, I don’t know. Obviously he’s the one that’s the leader, but Condoleezza Rice and definitely our government is pushing it.

I think it has to do with oil. I think it has to do with trying to make the Arab countries happy and to try to keep everybody happy over there so that the oil will continue to flow over here. Israel is right in the squeeze there and Israel is being pressured to make everybody happy by just giving up all their land. I think that’s the wrong approach personally. I think that we should be supporting Israel and their land and that land belongs to God and God has allowed Israel to become tenants on that land forever.

So to try to give it away is wrong. We have always had a pastor, somebody advising the president to, you know, to protect Israel. And… Well, right now I think they’re dismantling Israel. So I hate to see… If they give away the go on heights and Israel’s done for, I mean, they can shoot right down on Israel’s cities and farms and they can’t possibly ever give that away. It won’t be safe. No, no, no, not at all. And I think it’s this chain that Israel is being pressured to do that.

And I think that it is the end of America when we do that. Absolutely. God will make us blessing off of us. Absolutely. I think so. Yes, ma’am, I agree with you on that. And we are in real danger. We’re in real trouble. You know, Genesis chapter 12, and I think that’s what you’re referring to. It says, I God would bless those that would bless Israel and curse those that would curse Israel. And as we turn against Israel and make it difficult for Israel and curse Israel, then I think God is going to curse us.

So absolutely. And there has been blessed because we’ve always really been a defender of Israel. Yes, I just sort of emailed to my, uh, so they’re more capital. I think she’s a, she’s a congresswoman and, uh, told her and gave her this first and told her to urge the president and the congress to, to back Israel and not make them give their land away. Well good for you and I think that’s a great thing you’re doing. I’m so glad you’re listening to us and thank you for calling in.

I’ll have to enjoy this. Thank you. Well, wonderful. We’ll be on every day up there for you and continue to pass the word on about the program. Thank you, Myron. We’re now going to go to, that was our first call, I think, from West Virginia. We’re now going to Julia in Miami. And let’s see here. That’s, I’m not too sure what line Julia was on. And but anyway, I’m going to go to Don in Lansing, Michigan because i know we’re done is done welcome to buy one thank you doctor linscham i’ve got a question for you comment have you ever heard of the roman army took and surrounded Jerusalem and when it finally fell there was a christian to be found they knew what jesus had said concerning the future that the city would be besieged and don’t stick around it will be over heard anything like that i haven’t it sounds interesting but i

haven’t ever read that or heard that or seen any documentation for but uh… sounds like a nice story if it’s true i’d like to uh… see something in print about that it’s uh… it could be said that i’ve been trying to find a herd is on the radio and looking for the source it sounds certainly plausible because christ did warn that uh… the temple would be destroyed and and uh… basically uh… uh… you know the destruction of Jerusalem was eminent but uh…

i haven’t BeirHoustonPOST=”/>>>>>>>>Increasesudic but i i’ve seen it today andCrit what i’d like to say to each and every believer out there is don’t get caught unaware We know what God has promised. We know what Jesus has said concerning these times and to be watching. as he’s commanded us that watch bool amen amen Saturday i’ve been studying this now for about ten years uh… SlotPinterestSanders=~)),################################ ACP…..gzassium Canucksuilt I’ve never seen the times that we’re in before at all. Where men’s hearts have just grown so cold, if you got stopped beside the road, you’d have a hard time getting any help.

tmp Well, you’re right. You see it, well, I saw that video, the week or so, it goes, somebody got hit by a car and laid in the middle of the street, nobody even came to help him. Yeah. Yeah, I mean. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Even up here in Michigan, somebody shot two guys in a jewelry store, I just think, I’m like, you know, it’s what I want to call it, to be fast and it’s hard. Wow. I don’t want to call a 5-6-6-2-1, and they came out there a couple of times.

I was just like, you know, and I was just there for a long time, I was like, I’m going just, I’m going just, I’m going to call them all around. I think they’re all just like that. what i’d like to also say is when you start seeing these things come to pass such as things going like another nine eleven in this country get out of town or go to the woods something something because my supermarket is going to empty out in an hour.

Oh yeah. Well the Lord is going to snatch us out. That’s going to be our escape, Don. Boy, I think you’re absolutely right on target though. We’re getting close in this. Once theapest happens, it’s going to really be bad. I’m glad I’m leaving when the Lord’s sent you this out. Thank you for calling. Thank you. It was done in Lansing, Michigan, the capital of Michigan. – Now we’re back to Julio in Miami. Welcome to Bibleline. Good morning. Fine. I took a quick question.

I have a panel. There are some preachers now that are also for what I understand that, you know, it was Jesus Christ, who named me a apostle. Due to that, they did determination with the Bible. And now they call them for apostle. Well I think they’re terribly wrong to do that even in 1 Corinthians chapter 12 and verse 28. That was back in around 80, 55 or somewhere along in there. Paul asked the question, are all apostles and the answer was no?

And all prophets were all teachers, the answer was no. So they were only 12 and for somebody to come on and self-proclaimed themselves to be at a puzzle is terribly wrong and I would stay away from somebody who uses those kinds of titles. That’s right. Also, you know, I believe we are the side-postling they called themselves. That’s good, but I’m awful. I’m that gamut, correct? I’m off a quick question. I want to take a look at the first thing on the 11th.

No, chapter 2, 11 and 12. It’s about women to be a preacher, for what I know that no woman should be doing that. Even though that in our church, 80% of women if the one more committed to serve the Lord and women got so much pride sometime and all but for what I don’t understand you know any woman to be behind the puppet and should be for the men for you to explain it out. Okay. Thank you for taking my calls and I’m going to listen to you through a radio.

All right. He’s talking about First Timothy chapter 2 and it talks about the women’s role in the church and it says in verse 11, first Timothy chapter 2 verse 11 says let the women learn in silence with all subjection and then it says but I suffer or I allow not a woman to teach nor to usurp authority over the man but to be in silence. So here the woman is not to usurp authority over the man and not to be the Bible teacher or leader and that’s in the congregation.

So it’s being violated terribly today and obviously this is a time where we’re departing from the Bible and not enduring sound doctrine as we read in 2 Timothy. So this is a part of the end times. Other times when Israel departed women took leadership. If you read Jeremiah 44, the women said to Jeremiah, we will not harken unto the word of the Lord. We’re going to do whatsoever we want to do. So they told Jeremiah, basically get out of town or jump in a lake.

We’re not going to listen to you. It tells us there that it was the women that had grabbed and seized the leadership. Obviously, that’s when things have turned upside down. We’ve seen that happen now in the churches where women are becoming the heads and the men are becoming the tales. I don’t know what’s happened to our men, but I think we need more men to step up to the plate and stand up for God’s Word and be the leaders they ought to be.

But the women are not authorized scripturally to be the pastors, elders, or deacons. It’s just not scriptural. Thank you so much for calling in, Julio. We’re now going to go to Yvonne, and she’s in Tampa, Florida. And Yvonne, welcome to my one. You’re on the air. Hello. I don’t know if you happen to listen to John MacArthur early this morning. I didn’t. He was telling a recent situation or I don’t know if it was recent, but he was called to the bedside of a dying HIV-AIDS patient in the hospital.

And this young man had been still steeped in the lifestyle. And he told John MacArthur that he knew he was going to hell, that he had been to Bible school and so forth and that he had just been in all these perversions for many years. And so John MacArthur told him that he could be saved by God. Only God could save him, which is absolutely right. But he said, are you willing to give up your lifestyle and turn from your lifestyle?

In other words, will you clean up your life so you can be saved?” And as the young man, if he understood what he had to do. And he said yes, he had to, in order to get saved, he had to turn from his ways and that he had to tell his in the lifestyle that he had done wrong and that people were coming too. He had to help him there from the gay community and that he had to testify to all of them.

And so then John MacArthur said that’s right and then they prayed for him to accept Jesus. And I just felt so sorry that this got turned around like that, to where the young man thought that he had to clean up his life before Jesus would accept him to be saved. But if he had been told and instructed properly by his Bible college, she said he went to, that we come as we are and we can’t clean up our own lives.

Good enough to suit God anyway. We come as we are and then we get saved and then God gives us the power to clean up our our lives and leave her thin behind and go on more and more into a sanctification. But I just felt so bad for the young man. The story John MacArthur went on to say that he only lived five days after that. And I just thought about the demoniac of Gatorine. I don’t remember Jesus telling him that he had to quit cutting himself and screaming and running around naked before he came to him.

I got the impression that he came to Jesus as he was out of control and begged Jesus to save him and all it did was take Jesus to save him and then he clothed himself and was in his right mind. If I got that straight you’ve got it real straight. In fact that’s perfect. It seems like the other message is one of works. I mean, you have to preach to your former friends and change your life to be saved.

It’s not that way at all. We come just as we are. I think the hymnal, the hymn just as I am really has it right that we come as we are without anything to offer God. We just come and trust Him. And then He gives us not only our salvation, but He gives us the power to be able to have victory over sin in our life and to be able to make changes. But we don’t make the changes to be saved.

That is the potential consequence of being saved once we become saved. Yes. Thank you very much. Well, you’re very welcome. Thank you for calling in with that. And we’re going to go now to Adam in Denver, Colorado. Adam, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hey, thank you for taking my call pastor. My question is, I’m about ready to witness to some family members who are, and I was wondering if you can give me a little background as far as, I don’t know if that religion believes or believe that their temple needs to be built or what actually is their foundation.

I was wondering if you can give me some background. Well, they deny the deity of Christ. They started up there in Ohio and the leader now is passed away but they are cult and they denied the deity of Christ and I believe you go to my website I have an article I’ve written about them which will give you some clues maybe to help but basically the same way you would anyone else there. salvation, lose your salvation, denial of the deity of Christ and often many, many different areas.

So I would just focus on the deity of Christ and salvation my faith and I hope it will be fine. Okay, do they also do they do not remember? I’m not too sure about the rapture, I know they do practice tongues and other so-called spiritual gifts which are counterfeit, of course, of the truth. but they definitely are awful in salvation and off about the person of Christ. Okay. Thank you very much, Pastor. Okay, Adam. Thank you for calling in from Denver, Colorado.

We now have Dave in St. Petersburg and Dave, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hello, Pastor. I guess there’s basically a fellow, your listeners out there that want to know what is happening to America and what’s going to happen to America is to get out there, their pens and paper out looking that would be just twenty six fourteen through the end of the chapter and roman one eighteen through the end of the chapter and that it pretty much explains what’s happening in our country and what’s gonna happen to our country and i think you’re right It’s about the September and the peace of the trumpets that everybody better start watching and start looking at myself.

I have my first class trip. My people look at the Leviticus 26, 14th of the end of the chapter, and Romans 1 and 18th of the end of the chapter, and they pretty much explained it. Thank you, Dave. Obviously, it tells us when men turn away from God, which is really what’s happening, that God will allow them to go after their own lusts. And we see the decay in our society, and in the world that’s described to be in Romans 1, as Dave said, it’s happening before.

Very odd. You can read the headlines there in Romans 1 for sure. We’re now going to Fayetteville, North Carolina. We have an anonymous caller, Welcome Anonymous caller from Fayetteville, North Carolina. Yes sir, you’re on the air. Yeah, I got a question. It’s going to be coming from, I think, a second. That’s along in two and verse three. As it talks about that following away, is that an apostasy or is that the actual rapture? I believe that’s the rapture. The word means a departure, and it’s the departure.

If you read just a few verses further down of the one who is now hindering an equity in this world right now, who will continue to hinder an equity until he’s taken out of the way. That’s the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit falls in us and when he goes we go and once that happens that departure the Holy Spirit takes place, which is equivalent to the rapture, then the Antichrist, the Man of Sin will be revealed. So that’s talking about the rapture, I think, without a doubt.

And then it talks about in verse 8 that Christ will come back at the end of that tribulation period, seven years later, and destroy this individual that’s revealed right after the departure of the church and with the brightness of his coming. So the second coming is in verse 8. OK. So I should now, that fall in a way, how do I explain it someone else because they said it’s a following away which even in my scope of a Bible it does speak about that apostasy so I just put it in the form of okay uh…

if it’s going to be uh… the following away then the second step is going to be when this man is saying it’s going to be revealed and that can happen until the rapture happens right right and what’s going on there the greek word is departure if it’s a departure from scripture then that’s apostasy and that’s what Scofield has in the center of Colin Margin, which I disagree with. If it’s a departure from scripture, that’s apostasy. But if it’s the departure of the one who hinders iniquity, which is the Holy Spirit, and if you read the contents of it, that is the only real interpretation you can get.

The one who’s hindering iniquity, the Holy Spirit, will continue to hinder until he’s taken out. He’s taken out at the event of the rapture and when he goes we go. So he’s the one that’s going to take the church up to Christ to meet him in the air and then the tree village in Birdleby underway. I got it now. Alrighty, thank you sir. You’re welcome. Thank you for calling. We’re now going to go to D in Richmond, Virginia and D.

Welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. Oh, how fast. I need some help there. I couldn’t remember who it was that lost the child and the old customer and mourned for two or three days and then knew that he would see the child again. That was David in the 2 Samuel 1223. David had a son. He prayed and fasted for seven days and at the end of the seven days the child died and he said in the 2 Samuel 1223, 1 Samuel 1223, I guess it is, that the child would not return back to him and he would go to be with that child.

So we know David went to heaven, so David was saying he would see the baby again, but the baby would not come back to him. That’s it. Thank you so much. You’re so welcome. Thank you for calling in. And the phone number here at Bible, it was 1-800-576-3771. I hope everybody listening has trusted Christ as Savior. We’re not saved by turning away from sin. We’re not saved by joining the church or being baptized. In fact, the Bible says very clearly in Ephesians 2, 8, salvation is not of ourselves.

It’s the gift of God. And so when we trust Him, we become save, then God gives us the power. Bibleline can use your help if you could. Would you call in and give a gift to Bibleline today?
