Hank Lindstrom. Well, good morning and welcome to Bibleline. Great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning in to the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day. Monday through Friday has become your live from our studios right here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor. Thanks for listening today. We right now are streaming to the internet. So if you have internet access, you can also catch us live on the internet and then this program will sit in our time for about a year.

So you can listen to it as often as you like, and you can download it in the MP3 format for your iPod or your computer. We have podcasting, all of that is free. All you have to do is go to our website BibleLineMinistries.org. Good to be with you. I hope you’ll come by sometime and see us. If you’re in driving distance, we’re open every day till about 4.30. That’s our resource center is open. We will get a chance to meet you and you will get a chance to meet us.

We would love to have that happen. If you can’t during the week you can always come by on a worship day, a Wednesday night, or a Sunday. We have services in the morning and the evening and you are welcome to come. The third Sunday is coming up. That is August 17th. We are going to have a dinner. That is always a great day to come especially if you are driving a distance. You can come and enjoy the 1030 service and then stay and be my guest for the lunch that will follow.

We have some great home cooked food. It will be a wonderful time of food and fellowship. Why not come? You’re deputized to bring your family and friends and come on over. We’d love to have you. That’s bring your appetite, your Bible, your family. Be here at 1030 for the morning service. Stay for the dinner following. the 17th is the third Sunday of every month that we do that. We’re also going to have a baptism this 17th of August the third Sunday at 3 in the afternoon at a lake nearby the Bible and headquarters.

And if you have not been water baptized and you don’t have a church home to be baptized in or if you don’t have a church that baptizes by placing you under the water, we will do that. And I’d be delighted and honored to be the one to do your bad That will be the third Sunday. That’s the 17th of August that three in the afternoon call in and put your name on the list. And we’d love to have you be a part of that.

It’s a beautiful setting on a beautiful lake, a grass backyard that goes right down to the water and shade trees and will have chairs and you can bring your family and friends to watch. And if you’ve never been baptized, this is the time to do it. If you were baptized as an independent, it doesn’t count. There’s no such thing in the Bible as infant baptism. And if you were baptized before, you got saved. It doesn’t count. Believers baptism is obviously a testimony of your faith in Christ after you get saved and is a picture of how your cleansed of your sin not by water but by the blood of Jesus Christ.

So if you to be a part of that. We’d love to have you and we hope you will. Our brochure for Israel is ready. It is on the website right now and we should have the actual physical copies of it in our hands by the end of the week. And if you’re one to get one by mail, call in and leave us your name and address and we’ll mail one to you. And that’s for a trip leaving February 23rd to Israel and it ought to be a wonderful time.

It will be trip number 16 for me, but if the award comes back this fall, obviously we’re not going to be going to Israel, at least with a tour with me in that way. Love to have you go. So if you want to get the information, go to BibleLineMinistries.org and if you click on on Bible I News. It’s right there on the home page just above the camera. If you click on that, you’ll be able to see Israel’s tour brochure.

Click on that. The full brochure will come up. You can print it out. You’ll have it right there without having us mail it to you. If you want us to mail you a copy, we certainly will be happy to do that. Lots of things on our research center available to you. We have, again, the teachings of mine on so many different books of the Bible. We just finished Second Peter’s book. that was incredible. What a great study. 10 hours in 2nd Peter.

We did 10 hours on 1st Peter. That’s also available. We did the Gospel of John. 20 hours, verse by verse. You can’t find probably an audio exposition of the scriptures, verse by verse, like we do. And you’ll enjoy this in your car and your home. You can use it to facilitate a Bible study, a Sunday school class, a home Bible study and many tell us that they play about a half hour of a CD, have group discussion, have refreshments and go home.

One fella had to add on to his house because he had so many people coming and he used the CDs as the tool to facilitate that Bible study. You’re welcome to get our resource list, call in and we’ll send it to you free of charge. We also have the Resource Center online, so if you go to BibleLineMinistries.org you can see it all. By the way, our worship services are available also online. If you want to go to the camera on the home page, if you click there, you’ll get a year’s worth of service.

Video, audio, all ready for you to watch. And if you do it at 11 o’clock Sunday morning, you can actually catch our live worship service. And many do. They can’t find a good church or they can’t get out. And they watch from all over the United States and Europe and Canada. And you’re welcome to tune in too. And you can do it from anywhere in the world. You’re not limited. I was in Israel in February and I went there and looked at my own worship service while I was in Jerusalem.

And you can do it at any time of day or night. And that’s the marvel of the Internet. Internet you have your Bible there get it out. We’ll be taking a look At some of the things that the Bible has to say what should it turn with me to John’s gospel chapter 3 John’s gospel chapter 3 Matthew mark Luke and John and Jesus says this in verse 12 He says if I have told you earthly things and you believe not How shall ye believe if I tell you of heavenly things?

What is interesting here is that there are things in the Bible that God has told us and Jesus has spoken about earthly things that we can verify, we can check, we can look at them, we can examine them and say, wow, the Bible is 100% accurate, it’s right on the money and therefore knowing that those things are correct and right and examineable and we can test them and prove whether they’re true or not. He says in the same way you can then make the leap to believe me about heaven and things, things you cannot verify, things you cannot check unless you die and of course then you’ll be into eternity.

So I can’t prove heaven to you right now But the Bible is accurate. It has never been wrong. And if you check out the things that God has said about earthly things, well, then you’ll find that He’ll be just as accurate concerning the heavenly things. Jesus then says again later in John’s Gospel. He says in chapter 13 verse 19, Now I tell you, before it come, that when it has come to pass, you may believe that I am. In other words, he would tell us things before they would happen, so that we could know that he indeed was the author of the Bible and that these things are really so.

I don’t know about you, but I always had an investigative mind. I was always curious and I went on to graduate in electrical engineering from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida because science became my God. I was always curious and you know, as I was raised in church, I never could get any answers to my questions. When I would ask a question, they would pat me on the head as a little boy and say, you know, when you get older, you’ll understand.

Oh, oh, it wasn’t good enough for me. I finally quit asking questions because I realized I was giving all the adults a hard time by asking them questions that they didn’t really have answers for. And I wasn’t getting any answers. And so I looked in another direction. Little did I realize the answers are all in the Bible. The Bible is the book. The Bible is the word of God. The Bible is the only book that you could really trust from cover to cover.

Bible is the only book that the historical and other things that are put forth are 100% right. They’re just right on. And Jesus said, I’m going to tell you before they come to pass that when they come to pass, you can believe that I am. That is, that he is God who took on human flesh. Let me give you a great example. If you would ask me in one word, why do I believe the Bible is the word of God?

I would have to say Israel. Let me have you go with me back to the book of Jeremiah. This is in the Old Testament chapter 30. If you will look there at verse 1, notice here that Jeremiah is not claiming to be the author of the Bible. Jeremiah says here in verse 1 of chapter 30 of Jeremiah. The word came to Jeremiah from the Lord. Wow. Jeremiah didn’t get his information from a crystal ball. He didn’t get it from a psychic hotline.

He didn’t get it by going to some fortune teller. The Bible says here in Jeremiah 30 verse 1, the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord saying, Thus speaketh the Lord God of Israel saying, and then God tells Jeremiah, write the words that I’ve spoken into the book. Isn’t that amazing? God is saying Jeremiah, get your yellow pad out and your pen. Start writing. I want to tell you some things that I want you to write down in a book.

So Jeremiah is not the author. Jeremiah is simply the human writer of this marvelous book as he writes down what God tells him to write down. And look at what he says in verse 3 of Jeremiah chapter 30, For lo the days come saith the Lord. Notice again he is quoting God. For lo the days come saith the Lord that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah. Again it says saith the Lord and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers and they shall not maybe not perhaps not we think so or if the conditions are right it says and they shall possess it.

You know two thousand years ago the Jewish people lost their homeland. The Romans destroyed Jerusalem and the temple in 8070 and they killed millions of Jews. The ones that were not killed were put on the slave market and sold out to the nations of the world. The Bible is saying here that God would cause these Jewish people to return back to the land that he gave to their fathers to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And they shall possess it. Amazing.

We’re living in a time where we’re seeing that happen. Jewish people today are going back to the land from all over the world and they’re still going back. It’s very moment as we speak. It’s all a part of the end times and when Jesus will return back to this earth. Think about it. This involves millions of people over thousands of years. This is not just a coincidence. This is a specific prophecy involving thousands of years, millions of people, and it’s coming to pass before your very eyes.

It’s unbelievable. Well, I was at the University of Florida. I took a course in government and they said that people have their national identity in the land and that is people identify themselves nationally by the land, the rivers, the mountains, the hills and if they ever lose their land, may lose their national identity. And as I was reading that many years ago in college, it said a remarkable exception to this rule is Israel, that although they have lost their homeland, that they have not lost their national identity and they’ve gone back after 2,000 years to regain the original homeland again.

That is incredible. is the exception to the rule. It just doesn’t happen. You know, ancient conquerors knew this well, men like Alexander the Great, when they would conquer and Alexander, you know, cried and wept at 33 years of age and said, there’s nothing more to conquer. He’d conquer the world at that time. But what he did was he scattered the people. He conquered, they lost their national identity, they became assimilated in the new regime, the Greek Empire, and they never rose up against Greece.

What a smart idea. Well, guess what? This didn’t happen with Israel. Even though Israel has been dispersed all around the world in country after country after country, and on every continent, the Jewish people have never lost their national identity. They have gone back and as of 1948 became a nation again and look at what the Bible says here. For lo the days come Jeremiah 30 verse 3, saith the Lord that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah saith the Lord and I will cause God says I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers and they shall possess it.

I’ll never forget one evening I was on the edge of the Sea of Galilee. The moon was full, the light of the moon was reflecting off the sea. We were having coffee and ice cream at a little restaurant and they had a lot of young Jewish people there that were doing the Israeli folk dances. It was just a night out for them. It was a beautiful evening and as I looked out and there were several hundred out on the open area doing these like line dances, you know, they would, you know, swing and catch down the person’s arm and go one way in them, go back the other way and kick their legs and slap their hands.

And it was a beautiful thing to see. But I was talking to my guide that I led to Christ, a Jewish fellow, and I said, wow, just look at all the different faces as you look at the people that are out there dancing these young people. Israeli folk band says and he said well there should be he says there’s probably 80 countries represented out there and I’ll never forget I got this you on this goosebumps coming of all over my skin on my whole body and I said oh my goodness I am actually watching Bible prophecy fulfilled before my very eyes I just was like stunned for a moment.

I said, wow, what an amazing thing. I am watching Jewish people here before my very eyes back here in the ancient land from, at least he said, about 80 countries represented from all over the world. Amazing. You know, we are living in that time the Bible has spoken about and God said, this is what would happen. And we believe that these are the days when Jesus Christ will return again to the earth. If you were to ask me how do I know the Bible is the word of God, just the prophecies about Israel and how she has been dispersed and would then come back two thousand years later is convincing to me.

What about you? I’m Dr. Hank Thins from This is Bibleline. All of our phone lines are lighted up. We want to talk to you. We’ll try to get to you as quickly as we can. phone numbers 1-800-576-3771 and we’re now going to go to Ted in Tampa and Ted welcome to Bibleline, you’re on the air. Hi, past your lens. How are you doing today? Good. Good. I have to have bad ties and people at the beginning of the show and when I was brought up I believe in what the church of Christ taught.

They taught that you’re washing the blood when you’re baptized in water and also they If you quit attending the services, you’re in danger losing your soul. Now, would you explain what the true gospel is saying about those things? And I’ll hang up and listen. Okay, Ted, I sure will. Obviously, there are very, very wrong. Water baptism doesn’t save anybody. And just go back to the dying thief. You know, when Christ was crucified, two thieves were crucified with him. The one thief that believed on him, Christ said to him today, thou shall be with me in paradise.

never got water baptized and they tried to say well that was under the Old Testament. No not really because you know Jesus died before the two thieves died and so the two thieves died after Christ so they died obviously in the New Testament age. These two here are examples of all that would ever be saved or lost. The one thief that didn’t believe went to hell but the thief that believed was saved and it was not by water and of course the Church of Christ teaches salvation by works.

Water baptism is a work. Jesus said in Matthew 315 to John the Baptist, suffer it to be so now. That is that John would baptize Jesus that he might fulfill all righteousness. So it was a work of righteousness that Christ was going to fulfill in himself being baptized. Titus 3.5 tells us that not by works of righteousness which we have done, which water baptism would be one of them, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us and then it says by the washing of the new birth.

When you trust Christ you become cleansed of your sin by the blood of Jesus by simply trusting in his finished work at the cross. Water will not take away your sin. But if you’re trusting in water, you’re not. to save you. That’s a human work. And my friend, he won’t be saved at all. And unfortunately, the Church of Christ are trying to work their way to heaven. And as you said, that if they don’t continue to continue to continue to continue, that they could lose their salvation.

I know of a fellow here just recently that was this fellow shipped from the Church of He was an active leader for 17 years and he’s right now in a mental institution because he feels he’s damned and there’s no hope for him. And what a sad situation. He is gone, you might say, crazy because he has had his salvation taken away by his church. And that’s not the only church that will tell you, you can lose it. And that’s obviously a fright being thought for the person who believes that.

you know Jesus said in John 637, him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. For no reason. Would he ever cast you out? Plus he said he would never lose you and I love Hebrews 13-5, where Jesus said, I will never leave you and I’ll never forsake you. So Christ won’t forsake you. Christ won’t cast you out. You’re saved forever and it’s not on the basis of works and water baptism is a testimony of how you were saved by the blood of Christ, but water is merely symbolic or ceremonial.

Ted, I hope that helps. And there are many people out there that are taught wrong and obviously the Bible says if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. And he was talking about the religious leaders blindly leading those that were following them to hell because they weren’t going to heaven. Neither were the ones that were following them going to heaven if they followed their false teachings. And Christ said, Whoa, unto you scribes and Pharisees. He says, You neither enter heaven yourself, neither are they that are following you going to enter in because you’re misleading them.

Whoa, it’s scary out there. You need to really go back to the Bible. Ted, thank you for the question. We’re not We’re going to go to Dan in Holiday, Florida, and Dan, welcome to Bibleline, and we welcome you to the program. Dan, thank you for calling. Alright, Dan, you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Lindstrom. I have a question. We’re in a Bible study. Obviously, we’re all taken out, and the church is taken away. How do the rest of the people get to heaven?

Good question, and the answer is, Dan, that right after the rapture, two Old Testament prophets are going to come back and crank up the witnessing process again. Revelation 11 identifies the two and I believe they are Moses and Elijah. Through their witness, 144,000 Jewish men will become saved, who become gods of angeles, and through their witness Revelation 7, 9 tells us I saw a great multitude which no man could number of all nations and kinens and tongues that get saved as a result of their evangelism.

So right after the rapture. There’s not a saved person on the earth and God will crank it back up by sending two Old Testament prophets back to preach the gospel. They will lead the 144,000 to Christ that you read about in Revelation 7 and they will lead millions of all nations and all kindreds and all tons will come to know Christ and Savior through their witness. So that’s the answer. Thank you very much Dr. Armstrong. You’re very welcome Dan.

Thank you for calling in to Bible and we’re now going to go to Curtis. Curtis is in Tampa, Florida. Curtis, welcome to Byblind. You’re on the air. Thank you very much for taking my call. I have a question concerning preachers. The old testament reference towards a rapture. He sees it in the New Testament, but he says usually the Old Testament will complement the new and the new, the old. So I’d like to listen to it off the air so I can write my notes.

I’d like to know the book and the verse. It would lead me to that answer. Well, the rapture really is not in the Old Testament because the church age was a little bit more than the church. was kept hidden in secret because because God quantifiedly offered the kingdom at the first coming of Christ, had Christ been received. The kingdom would have been established. This past 2000 years would not have happened, and the church age would not have occurred. But you can see it in type.

Let me just give you this quick synopsis. In Genesis 22, we have Abraham offering of his son Isaac. A picture of Christ being offered up on the cross of Calvary. We find His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension all there in chapter 22. Chapter 24 we find that Sarah dies and is buried a picture of Israel going out of favor for the past 2000 years. Chapter 25 we have rather chapter 24, 23 is the death of Sarah. 24 is Isaac needing a bride and he’s a picture of Christ.

The elder servant of Abraham is sent out. He’s a picture of the Holy Spirit and he gets a bride for Isaac and that’s a picture of this church age. And you find that the Christ or Isaac meets his bride and of course they go off together. That’s a picture of the rapture. Then in chapter 25 of Isaiah, a rather jealousness you have Abraham getting married again. That’s a picture of God’s continuous plan for Israel as he carries it on after the rapture.

I gotta go to break here but that’s kind of a quick picture type and there’s many more I can share with you. But we’re gonna go to break, we’ll come back and do a second half hour Bibleline. Again Bibleline is listeners supported. We thank God for all of you who pray for a gift Bibleline and if you could call and give a gift today that would be greatly appreciated. We’re gonna take a break, we’ll come right back and do a second half hour so don’t touch that radio and we’ll be right back.

I’m Dr. Inchlister and I’ll be right back after this break. Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. We have a wonderful time usually when we meet with our listeners. It’s just like we’ve known each other forever because there’s something about the bond between those that know Christ genuinely as their Savior that we’re members of the same family. We’re related by the blood of Christ and that we’re going to live together in heaven forever. We hope you’ll come by sometime. If you can’t, guess what? You can go on the internet and you can attend our worship services by clicking on the camera on the home page of Bible lite ministries dot o r g you can listen to our radio program by clicking on the spinning globe on the home page you can watch our television programs by clicking on the TV set on the home page you can visit our resource center by going to the online bookstore on our website Bibleline ministries dot o r g take advantage

I think you’ll have a great time on our website, BibleLineMinistries.org. The Bibleline is this was supported. This is summer and normally we find it a little bit lean, but we’re living in a time when it’s not only lean, but the summer with the economy like it is has caused things to drop back.

So we’re a little bit short. We could sure use your help. If you would like to give a gift to Bibleline, it would be so appreciated. We don’t pay any salaries. So you’re really getting the most value for the dollar because we push it right into paying for radio time and Being out there as far as we can get and reaching as many people as we can reach and we’d love to have you be Part of that would you call today and give a gift by credit card over the phone and Would you maybe ask if you want for an envelope with our address on it to be sent to you?

And then you can mail your gift in want to thank you in advance God bless every one of you that give. You’re the ones that are the heroes that keep this program on the air. We might be your spokesperson. The voice in giving out God’s Word, but you all are the ones that allow it to take place because without your gifts we couldn’t do it. We’re going to rejoin the stations now that have been on break. We’re going to do the second half hour Bibleline.

So we encourage you to keep your radio right where it is. And here we go with Bibleline the second half hour. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break. We are excited about being with you, and we’re excited about the Bible, and we’re excited about the time when we’re living in. Wow!

These are exciting days. This is Bible and we’re coming to you live from our studios in Tampa, Florida from the Calvary Community Church. We’re on the pastor, and we just look forward to being with you each and every day. And we have such a wonderful group of listeners, our phone lines are right now lighted up, but keep on trying. We’d love to talk to you. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771. a little bit about yesterday today, proofs for the Bible.

Well, here’s one that is off the world in that daily. Old Testament proof, the headline reads, Royal Seal Discovered. Archaeologists have unearthed an ancient relic from Prince, a Prince mentioned in the book of Jeremiah. That’s right, a team of archaeologists in Israel have unearthed what is believed to be the Royal Seal of an Old Testament Prince who has said to have toss the prophet Jeremiah down a well. Amazing. And here we are 2,600 years later and this royal seal has been found.

You know, these stories in the Bible are true and the archaeologists spade is digging up this new evidence all the time to confirm the fact that it is the word of God. And as we said last half hour, God Jesus said, if I tell you earthly things and Can you believe them not? How shall you believe me when I tell you about heavenly things? The earthly things are absolutely accurate. Absolutely accurate. And they just don’t miss. And that is what has convinced me.

And the more I study, the more convinced I begin. I get because I don’t find flaws. I don’t discover errors. I continue to find the Bible is absolutely accurate. You have a trustworthy book. And of course it’s under attack today and many of the new translations attempt to dismantle the Bible, to do away with the blood, do away with salvation by faith, to attack the deity of Christ and the doctrines of the end times. It’s just amazing. By the way we have a great book in our resource center.

It’s called New Age Bible Versions, about 800 pages and for gift of $20 we can ship that out to you, but it will just open your eyes to about 20 of the new modern translations that are out there and how they absolutely are attacking the major doctrines of the Bible very, very subtly. You know, the new American Standard, for example, in John 647, a favorite verse of the Bible, in the King James that says, barely, barely, I say unto you, either believeth on me has everlasting life what a clear statement he that believe upon me has everlasting life guess what the new american senators leaves off to important words on me in other words it says barely barely i said you he that believes has a everlasting life believes leaves what on whom it doesn’t tell you can you imagine it leaves off believing on jesus

because just believing doesn’t get you anywhere, but you have to believe on Christ or trust on Christ to be saved. And that’s the New American Standard. And I don’t want to get cranked up on that. I’ll get too excited here. But throughout many of these new ones, they just attack these wonderful doctrines and wonderful verses of Scripture by deletion most of the time. But sometimes they add and they change and alter the Word of God. very thing that God warned against in the last chapter of the book of Revelation that we are not to add to or to take away from the Word of God.

These people who have done these translations I think are going to be in real trouble when they stand before the Lord face to face and he says, what did you do to my Bible? Whoa, I sure wouldn’t want to be in their shoes for sure. and all of you who believe the Bible and promote teaching the Bible and propagate the Bible and the gospel message are to be applauded. I know that God is proud of you. We’re going to go to Toronto, Canada.

We’d like to travel with me. Here we go. We’re going to talk to Claude. Claude is in Toronto and Claude, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Smith. Yes. I think that a sister, she’s a lovely day at vintage. Okay. And she keeps talking to me that I’m not keeping a Sabbath and I’m not following the food laws. So I would tell her that we’re not under the law anymore. We’re under.

I’ll give it a shot. Okay. Romans was written to the Gentiles, to the Romans, and Paul writes to the believers at Rome in this wonderful book. In Romans 331 it says, do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid, yea, we establish the law. What she doesn’t understand is that the Bible is not a word of the Bible. is that the law’s purpose was to show us that we’re guilty. Look at you earlier in the chapter where it says in verse 19, now that we know that what’s the other thing the law is saith.

It’s saith to them who are under the law that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may become guilty before God. So the law condemns you because nobody has ever really kept all the law. Even those who want to try to say you have to keep the Sabbath, which we don’t have to keep to be saved, no one was ever saved by keeping the Sabbath. The Bible says that everyone who’s ever saved been saved by faith alone, even as Abraham believed the gospel, was saved by simply trusting Christ.

Verse 20 then goes on to say, Therefore, by the deeds of the law, that is keeping the Sabbath or any other law keeping, There shall no flesh no flesh no flesh be justified in God’s sight So clearly the Bible is the same here that when you accept Christ You establish the law in its rightful place By it being a means of showing us that we’re guilty Lost in need of a Savior so that we might trust Christ and go to heaven The night that I got saved, I was 18 years of age and I was shown a verse in Revelation 21, 27.

And there it said, one lie would keep me out of heaven. Now up until that point I felt I was just hanging in there. I wasn’t that good, but I wasn’t that bad. You know what I mean? And I figured that I’d just slide in to heaven with that group that’s kind of in the middle. Not too bad, not too good, but just hanging in there. Well when I saw Revelation 21, 27, it was like somebody threw a javelin into my heart.

I said, oh my goodness, one lie would keep me out of heaven and for the first time in my life I saw myself as lost. I said, I’m going to hell. I’ve told about three lies. No, that’s another lie. I knew I told lies before and one lie would be enough to keep me out of heaven as scared to live in daylight, I began to listen very, very carefully and I said, there’s got to be a solution. How can anybody saved if one lie would exclude you from heaven?

And of course the answer is Jesus came and He paid for every lie, every sin that you would ever commit in your entire life past, present and future when you trust that He died in your place was buried in rose again from the dead God would forgive you and credit you with his very own righteousness. And so the believer is seen as though he has never sinned at all. Wow, that was the best news I ever heard of my life and I trusted Christ as my Savior and I received the free gift of everlasting life.

But I’m afraid the seven dead venus are not going to make heaven and they’re going to go to a place that they don’t even believe in the seven end, does she not even believe in hell? They will one day, because obviously if you’re trusting in your works to be saved, you will not make heaven. And the book of Colossians says that not only are we not under the law, but it says let no man, verse 16, of Colossians 2, therefore judge you in meat or in drink or in respect of in hold a day or the new moon or of the Sabbath.

Don’t anybody judge you concerning whether you observe the Sabbath or not, because we’re not saved by keeping the Sabbath. That’s works. And for those that want to keep the Sabbath, I don’t know anybody who has ever done that. You know, it begins at sundown Friday night, ends at Saturday at sundown. You weren’t allowed to do anything. Not lie to candle. A guy in Numbers 15 who picked up sticks on Saturday on the Sabbath. What did they do? They brought him before Moses and they stoned him to death.

That was a capital offense. If you ever cleaned up your yard a little bit, they picked up some trash out your yard on Saturday. You would be condemned to death according to the Old Testament law. The law condemns us. And the purpose of it is to be a judge. If you were to be a judge, you would be condemned to death. You would be condemned to death according to the law. The law is not a judge. is to show us that we need a Savior and I’m afraid the seven and I’ve had that as our way off mark.

They believe that keeping the Sabbath is the mark of the living God, the seal. They believe worship be on Sunday is the mark of the beast and anybody who worships on Sunday will be lost but only those who worship on Saturday will be saved. That’s totally nonsense. That is not true and cannot be supported from the Bible. Claude, thank you for calling in today from Toronto, Canada. We are now going to go to Nick in Holmes Beach, Florida and Nick, welcome to Bible on your own year.

Dr. Hank, hello. How are you this morning? Good. Good. Dr. Hank, may I make a statement about a little mission I just took concerning the Salvation Army. I lived as a homeless person for two months and stayed at the Salvation and Tupelo, Mississippi. And so I just got to tell you, and we spoke with this before, the Christian community needs to be aware that this organization is being funded by the government, and because of that, they stated to me that I could not evangelize on the property.

The name of Jesus was pretty much banned. I believe that they used these people merely as poster children and to collect funds, and that it is what William Booth started has been demolished. I wanted to make that statement but I have a question for you sir. Finally. Alright and I was in a church couple of weeks ago and the preacher started preaching in Acts 8. Would you say that Simon the Sorcerer was saved according to what we read? Not at all.

Not at all, I agree. He said the man was saved and then he started talking about the baptism of the Holy Ghost, a second baptism. He referred to Acts 4 and verse 8 where Peter gets the power filled with the Holy Ghost and then he went to Act 19. And then the next question, would you say that those 12 that Paul runs into were they saved at the time that he first meets them? Not at all. Not at all, I agree.

And that the water baptism that they speak of with John was merely a water baptism and that they had not trusted in the name of Jesus. Would you agree with that? Amen, I agree. Okay. This man went on to preach that this second baptism was the Holy Ghost baptism that was going to fill All the lawyers and give them power was I not on the day that I was saved given all the power and all the gifts and all the love Was that not bestowed upon me the day that I received Christ amen amen?

I went to I tried to talk to him. Of course, you know that type of preacher is going to I Went to immediately Ephesians chapter 4 doesn’t that explain that fairly well? 4, 3, 7 that there’s one God, one body, one spirit, one baptism, one Lord, one faith. Absolutely. And of course I could have and it did go to and would that not also agree that in Galatians and in chapter one that he’s speaking of a different Jesus than the one that’s filled me and saved me on that great day of my salvation?

I have to agree that’s the first message when you alter what the Bible teaches and Well says it they are cursed of God when they do that Doesn’t that also if there are and I truly believe this church had real believers in the church doesn’t that weaken the body of Christ? Trying to tell them that they need a second baptism Absolutely, you know, this is a fairly false teaching once you get saved the Holy Spirit indwells you and You’re also baptized with all his family which is the placing of you into the body of Christ.

It all happens simultaneously belief. In 1st Corinthians 1213 it says by one spirit are we all, all baptized into one body. And that’s the baptism of all his family. Every believer has that experience at the moment of belief. I have read completely the course started with the King James, went to the NIV, NLT, and then God bless you brother because you brought, you know I went back to the King James and just found power in the true word of God as certainly your metanoia description, your postuio, those things help as we read through these.

But one that just searches the scripture daily, he teaches out the English standard version and invited each one of us to take one of his Bible’s home. I found that to be just the weakest scripture I’ve ever read. Well, it is. It came out in 1885 and it was A translation from a manmade Greek text called the critical text and it is flawed from the get-go. And that failed at about 10 years and then another group in America decided to revive it and they called it the American Standard Version.

It came out of 1901. That also failed at about 10 years. Nobody wanted it. And then after the copyrights had run out on that, a guy out in California decided he would renew that and he made it the new American Standard. and it’s just as flawed as the English standard the american standard it has all the same problems with it to this very hour well i’ll let you go but last question when you when you preach each sunday i truly believe that the preacher he goes to it uh…

he’s going through it uh… book by book scripture by scripture but i truly believe that the spirit should lead the preacher and that every sunday an altar call should be made uh… this this past sunday he made it he made a call the author to receive this second holy ghost this second you know baptism of the Holy Ghost uh… and i i was just i had to get up and just walk out of the church and do you yourself make an altar call to the non-believer each sunday absolutely we believe uh…

there’s always going to be somebody in your audience that doesn’t know the Lord and uh… we uh… we had five get saved this past that we always had people it seems like every sudden you see here uh… because uh… uh… god brings them and and they hear it and they understand it and they get same. Make it so good to hear from you and thank you for calling in today. Thank you sir. All right. In Holmes Beach, Florida and we know there’s a lot of bad teaching out there especially about the Holy Spirit.

I have a 12-hour series on the Holy Spirit that I think deals with most of these passages and these questions that were brought up in the discussion with Mick from Holmes Beach. We’re now going to Maine and this will be, I’m not sure how to present, whole Massachusetts. We have Glenn and Glenn, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. I’m up in Massachusetts in the good morning Pastor Hank. I just wanted to tell you something that was funny that happened this morning.

I was waiting for your show to come on the doorbell where I was two ladies to hold the witnesses there. I told them I don’t usually talk to people from cults and they were really to hold the list witnesses I explained to them. Because of your teaching and getting me into the Bible, I’ve learned more in just a short period of time when I have the rest of my life. And I told them I’d pray for them that they would trust Jesus Christ and they think he’s just a prophet.

And I said, well, you’ll find out when a lot of us are gone that you’re going to have to trust on him. And I just want to thank you for your teaching and preaching. It’s really terrific. Thank you and I’m so glad to hear from you today. It’s encouraging to know we’re reaching into Massachusetts with the gospel. Well, I used to listen to you on the North Adam station, but I’m a couple pounds away. So, well good for you.

And thank you Glenn for calling in today. Okay, you have a good day. All right. You know, I hear that a lot that people learn more from this program than they have in all. I talked to two ladies in their 70s on Saturday. They both agreed. They said they had learned more in in listening to Bible and then they had from all the ministers that they’ve ever sat on under throughout their whole life, near their 70s. And that’s a shame because it tells us that the job is not being done, the Word of God is not being taught from our pulpits.

Oh, that couldn’t happen, but we are delighted to hear that we are reaching people and people are learning the Word of God through the Bibleline program. online program. God bless you all and thank you for calling in from Massachusetts and we now have been in Zephyr Hills Florida and been welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, hello Dr. Hank, good morning. I want to ask a question, it’s sort of almost the He was almost the follow-up from a couple of callers ago and Acts Chapter 2 when it says that they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and they are appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire.

The word fire there is kind of messing with my head a little bit here because I also, listening to your teaching and understanding, you know, when John said that Jesus would baptize with the Holy Ghost. and fire. I do understand that that ties with the Holy Ghost is for the believers at the moment of belief and the fire is for unbelievers. Yeah, exactly. Well, obviously there was a visible demonstration at Pentecost on that day when the church was born.

And they’ve never been repeated since. You know, the different groups of in Pentecostalism have tried to duplicate this. I know there was a group in a farmhouse out in Kansas that went up into the upper room and they prayed through hoping that they would duplicate what happened on Pentecost, but Pentecost, you have to remember, will never be repeated. It was 50 days, the word Pentecost means 50 days, 50 days after the resurrection, and will never be 50 days after the resurrection.

And no more than Calvary will not be repeated, nor will Pentecost ever be repeated. But they got this jibberish and they claimed it was a Pentecostal experience that they duplicated Pentecost. That’s not true and that’s obviously an error that’s been propagated now for the past 100 years. But what happened there Pentecost was a one-time event and of course the baptism occurred which is not directly mentioned but implied from chapter 1 verse 5. But what happened is that when they received the Holy Spirit and were placed into the body of Christ that began on the day of Pentecost, they were filled, which is a different thing.

The filling has to do with our yieldedness to the Lord, and they were then yielded to the Holy Spirit that vaulted in them, and God gave them great power to evangelize in 3,000 people God saved. But you don’t hear any more about the sound of a mighty rushing wind, and you don’t hear anything more about the cloven tongues of fire that never repeats anywhere in the Bible. Again, it was a one-time event and I think we just have to leave it there and wait until we get to heaven to get further explanation.

Ben, thank you for that call. We appreciate it and we’d love to hear from you. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771 and now we have an anonymous call from Tampa, Florida and welcome to the Bible. Yes, good morning. Hi. Yes, I have a question for you. I like to find out this country was based Christian and then I see so many religions, but one of the religions that have been really, really now is in different places of work and even though in the school it’s a mostly religion.

Yes. And I just wanted to find out with the Christians, let’s say in the play side work, I cannot say, but in the play side work, they have a time for the mostly to go and pray and they made that available. And they are making available in different places like in a chicken place. I think it’s in Arkansas, something they are making available for the most link to have to go to the hours of prayer. But we the Christian, we cannot even talk about Jesus as I work because I was told I work no religion in here.

But then I see the guy next desk to me that he get up and he go to this prayer time. You think that we the Christian are going to do something about it or it’s because I it’s amazing it’s really a phenomenon that you can hardly explain and uh… and obviously uh… our rights uh… religious freedom is being taken from us and yet uh… they are given a complete freedom what what is amazing is that uh… you know islam came along six hundred years after christianity uh…

into the uh… five hundreds uh… the uh… six centuries when uh… mohammed came along And the whole thing is a false system. The God of Islam is the moon, God. And Allah was existent long before Mohan came along as a tribal God where they would worship the moon at night and the stars worshiped the moon. And of course this is the God they prayed to five times a day. But they obviously reject the true and living out of the Bible, where the Bible tells us that we’re not to worship the stars or the sun or the moon or the created bodies that were created by God.

But we’re living in a time when we’re seeing things change rapidly. If you read Daniel 7, it talks about the Antichrist. It says that he will think to change the times and the laws and the things that we practice. I think we’re seeing that change now really coming hard and fast. It’s something to watch and be aware of as a Christian. But we just need to stand tall and do the best job we can while we have the opportunity to do it.

Thank you for calling in. We’re at the end of the hour. I hope everybody listening is trusted. Christ is their Savior and if you haven’t you need to say Lord I’m the center but I trust Jesus alone as my only means of heaven and again we’re listeners supported we need your help we’ve been a little bit short here in the summer and if you could call it and give a gift by credit card it’d be so appreciated and also you could call it ask for a non-book to be said will mail it to you and you can mail your gift in.
