We got a year’s worth of sermons waiting there for you. We are excited about 9-11 coming up. We have Gershahn Solomon coming from Jerusalem who will be here on Thursday night at 7 o’clock on the 11th of September.
And he is the man who is building or cutting the stones for the third temple. That’s right. We believe prophetically, according to the Bible, that the temple that used to stand in Israel, the first temple and the second temple have been destroyed, but there will be a third temple built. And when Christ comes back, He’ll come back to a standing temple and that’ll be the second coming. Wow. We are living close. The fact that the Jewish people have been preparing, and this is the man who has been cutting the stones.
You’ll want to hear him, you’ll want to talk to him, you’ll want to shake his hand, and you’ll be talking to the man who maybe will be responsible for building that third temple at 11th, and that will be at 7 o’clock. We hope you’ll come early and be here and enjoy a wonderful evening to find out what is the latest on the rebuilding of the temple. I know he just last month attempted to lay a cornerstone for that third temple on the Temple Mount, but was turned away and of course we know that it will have to be a political decision that will allow that and I think it won’t happen till right after the Rapture.
If the Rapture happens this year, I believe it will go up quickly and then blood sacrifices will be offered again and we know the Antichrist will also visit that temple according to the New Testament and that he’ll go into that temple and proclaim to the world of his God and demand to be worship. And then Christ will come back and defeat him, cleanse that temple and rule the earth for a thousand years from that temple in Jerusalem. Mark it on your calendar on September 11th, 9-11 at 7 o’clock.
If you’re in driving distance, we’d love to have you come for that meeting that night. And of course we also are planning to go to Israel. If the Lord doesn’t come and snatch us out this year, and if you want that brochure call, and we’ll mail that right out, that will be departing February 23rd, 2009. And if you want to go on the extension, that will leave seven days earlier, and it will be a ten-day trip. If you do the extension also, it will be a 17-day trip, and we’ll go to Egypt, we’ll go to Elot on the Red Sea, we’ll go to the Rock City of Petra, and we’ll have a super time I hope you will consider and if you’re going to go we hope you’ll get your deposit in by October 1st that will guarantee that the airline will hold your seat right until
we depart. But you’re in danger of not having a seat available if you wait until after October 1st at least make your deposit to go on the trip. You don’t have to pay for the whole trip at that time but you do have to make your deposit. the the the the the the the and commitment to go by on Kilburford. So get your brochure and think about it, give us a call, we’ll send that right out. We also want you to take a look at our resource center.
If you ever get a chance to come by, we’d love to have you visit in person. We’re open every day till about 4.30, you’re welcome to come by and we’d love to get a chance to meet you, but you can go on the internet and see our resource center there. You can visit our worship services on the internet and you can also listen. Listen to our radio programs as often as you like on the internet. We’re excited about being able to be with you this morning.
If you have any questions you’re able to call in and ask them. The phone number here at Bibleline is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. We’re first going to get into the Bible and then we’ll be taking our callers and we hope that you’ll give us a call and get on the air. You know, in Isaiah chapter 48, God says that he knows that you and I are difficult to deal with. He says we know he knows that we’re obstinate, brass-headed, iron-necked.
So therefore he said he would tell us things before they would come to pass so that when they came to pass, we would know that God was the author of the Bible. Let me share with you a couple of neat verses here in Isaiah. If you look over in Isaiah 45 and verse 5, it says, I am the Lord, and there is none else. There is no God beside me. And it says here in verse 6, there is none beside me.
I am the Lord and there is none else. Well, the word Lord there in the King James Bible is in all capitals. The translators are letting us know something when they put the name for God in all capitals and it comes from God’s personal name which is Four Consonants, YHWH. The most popular pronunciation for that today is Yahweh. As scholars today are putting two vowels between those four consons, YH and WH, they put an A and an E so it’s pronounced Yahweh.
And we find that God is saying that He is Yahweh and there is none else beside Me. There is no God beside Me. Look if you will down in verse 14 at the end of the verse it says, there is none else, there is no God beside Me. Like if you will at verse 18, it says, for thus saith the Lord, or Yahweh, that created the heavens. God Himself that formed the earth and made it, He hath established it, He created it not in vain.
He formed it to be inhabited. I am Yahweh, I am the Lord, and there is none else. So here God identifies Himself as the Creator, the one that created the universe, the heavens on the earth and he says, there is none else. Down in verse 21 he says, there is no God else beside me. I just God and a Savior, there is none beside me. And then verse 22 of Isaiah 45 says, look unto me and be saved all the ends of the earth for I am God and there is There’s none else.
Only one way to heaven, and that’s through the God of the Bible, and the God of the Bible came to the earth and took on human flesh in the person of Jesus Christ. The word for God’s name Yahweh or the four consents YHWH that we pronounce Yahweh, connected with another word for salvation, Yasha, Y-A-S-H-A, the contraction of that is Yeshua. Yeshua occurs over 130 times in the Old Testament. And so throughout the Old Testament we find that Jesus is there.
And here God tells us that He is the Savior and He says in verse 22, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is none else.” So God himself is the Savior, and he came to the earth in the first of Christ and went to the cross and paid for our sins. Let’s turn back now to Isaiah 7, 14. This was written about 700 years, 740 years before Jesus.
He is the first time and here God gives us remarkable prophecy. Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign, behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Emmanuel. Wow! God here tells us about the virgin birth 700 years plus before Jesus ever came. In Matthew’s gospel we find that when the Lord is born, When the Lord spoke to Joseph in a dream, he quotes this very verse and tells Joseph that Mary is pregnant, but she is a virgin and that God himself is the father of his child.
And obviously, he quotes this verse to say, the Lord would give you a sign. Behold, a virgin would conceive and would call his name Immanuel. Emmanuel is an unfransland Hebrew word. It means God with your God dwelling with you and what was going to happen is that God would actually dwell here on the earth in a human body and God visited this planet 2,000 years ago in the person of Christ for a period of 33 years until he died and went back to heaven.
In Isaiah chapter 9 it says here in verse 6 For unto us a child is born unto us a son is given.” This speaks about what happened at Bethlehem, how that the flesh that God took upon himself had a birthday and was born. But yet God who exists eternally gave himself. It says a son is given. The second member of the Godhead, the eternal Son of God, gave himself by indwelling that body. And of course, he went to the cross and died for you and for me.
And here it makes that distinction. You know, Mary is not the mother of God. Mary was the mother of the flesh that God took upon himself. And here it makes that order from distinction. There are two things going on here. For unto us a child is born, that’s the flesh that God took upon himself and unto us a son is given, that’s the second eternal member of the Godhead who comes to into all that body. It would be our Savior.
It tells us in this verse his name would be called Wonderful Counselor, then it says the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. So we learn here that this child was no ordinary child, but his name would be the mighty God, the everlasting Father. the Prince of Peace. And in verse 7 says, of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end. Upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from henceforth, even forever.
Wow, when Jesus does come in his second coming, he will rule and reign and bring peace on earth good will toward men exactly what the angels announced that was postponed because he was rejected in his first coming will actually become a reality in his second coming as Christ will rule and reign over the earth for a thousand years. We have an exciting Bible, and God throughout says, there is no God like me. I am God, and there is none beside me.
There is none like me. There is no Savior except for God Himself who came in the first of Christ. He describes here, why would four Christ ever came? How the plan of salvation would be worked out, and whosoever would believe in Christ or or trust Christ as your Savior would receive the wonderful gift of everlasting life. That is truly good news. And I hope you have trusted Christ as your Savior. If you haven’t, would you do it right now?
Would you whisper a prayer and just say, Lord, I am a sinner? That’s just being honest. Every one of us have sinned and have come short of the glory of God according to the Bible, but when we trust that Jesus Christ made the full payment for our sins at the cross, then God saves us and forgives us and we become a child of God. And from that point on we can be certain of living in heaven with the Lord forever and ever and ever and ever and ever.
The Bible tells the whole life of Christ before he ever came and God said, I know you’re obstinate. I know you’re president. I know you’re I’m next. I’m going to tell you before it comes to pass so you can know that I’m the author of this Bible and that this book is reliable and you can trust what I tell you. I hope you’ve trusted Christ. If you haven’t, just don’t die. in hell believes on Christ, but it’s too late.
You don’t want to wait until I’ve been too late once you die. And if you have unsaved relatives or friends, you need to tell them now while they’re still living, while you have a chance. Because the day is coming when if you’re a believer, you’re going to be evacuated out of here and the lost will not have you there to try to reach them. and the probability of him getting saved, it becomes very slim. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom, this is Bible and we’re going to go to the phone lines and the number is 1-800-576-3771 and we’re going to go to Joyce and Joyce is in Largo, Florida and Joyce, welcome to Bibleline your own ear.
Joyce, are you there? Yes, good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Pastor Hank, good morning. How are you? Fine, thank you. Okay, I want to speak to you about something you spoke to. A gentleman called you on Friday and he called you about he had a friend that was, that had a homosexual friend and he said he wanted to speak. You know, I agree with which he said about that. He has to change his life in order to speak with Christ.
But the other one just told me when you said to the gentleman he had a friend that committed and he would be able to go to heaven. How can that be? And I know a lot of churches won’t bury you if you committed suicide. And I know the Catholic will definitely won’t bury you. I know. If you take your own life, how can you go to heaven? It’s supposed to be God that takes your life, not you. I agree, but suicide is not the unpardonable sin.
The Roman Catholic Church is really responsible for this error because they concluded wrongly that because Judas committed suicide, suicide that he went to hell. But Judas, if you read the Bible carefully, went to hell because he never ever was a believer. If you write this down as John 64, Jesus said he knew from the beginning who they were that believed not and who should betray him. He’s talking there in that passage about Judas. Judas never, never, never, ever became a believer.
Now Earlier in John 6, Jesus said, him that come up to me, I will in no wise cast out. And there’s no exception. There’s no, I doesn’t say except for suicide or for some other crime. It says him that come up to me, I will in no wise cast out. And even better than that, Joyce is verse 39, where Jesus says that he would not lose one, that it was the Father’s will that not one person that ever gets saved and comes to Christ would ever be lost, that he would keep them all saved.
He said, I will lose men, but raise them up again at the last day. So we’re not to take our own lives, but it will not be the unfardonable sin. And we gave an example, I think, that Samson actually took his life. His final act was tied between the support killers of that Flistine arena and he pushed those fillers apart and the whole stadium fell down on him and he was killed. But obviously thousands were killed along with him as he really basically took his own life.
But Samson is in heaven, he’s one of the great heroes of the Bible. And he was obviously good and good in heaven, but he did commit to us other examples. But certainly we don’t encourage anybody to take their life. But if you did, you’d still be saved. There’s only one unpardonable sin, and that is unbelief or to die, not having trusted Christ as your Savior. Look at those verses carefully, Joyce, and I think it’ll help. All right. Thank you.
you for calling in. And we now have Bill in Lansing, Michigan, and Bill, welcome to Bible and you’re on there. Morning, Pastor Hank. Good morning. I wanted to ask you, what do you think the abomination of desolation is? Could it be a statue of Mary? No, I don’t think so. It’s an image of the Antichrist himself. Apparently, according to the book of Revelation, it’ll be lifelike. It’ll be able to move and talk, and it’ll give the appearance that the Antichrist never sleeps, that he’s omniscient, that he is It is a beautiful, from his name and he was fully aware of everything that goes on.
It apparently will read off the names of those that are dissident and order their execution. It would be a scary thing. I think there’s going to be an Antichrist channel on television and people will be able to watch this image of the Antichrist, which will be in the Reevolt temple and look like it’s really him. It’s an image of the Antichrist himself. like the word abomination that means something awful in the sight of God and defolation means destroyer so the destroyer is Satan.
Absolutely and the Antichrist will be involved by Satan and he will go into the temple if you read 2 Thessalonians 2 4 that will be rebuilt this obviously not there right now and he will proclaim that he’s God demand to be worshiped and then he will leave his image in the temple and apparently that will be, I believe, watched on television around the clock. But apparently that will be a lifelike replica of himself. You know, if you ever been to Disney, they have the whole of the presidents and they have these lifelike images of the presidency.
They move and they talk and so on. But the technology He’s gotten way beyond that now. I think it may be a hologram. It may be a real, like a robot, but it will be very sophisticated and it will look exactly like and sound exactly like the Antichrist. Yeah, that’s an interesting thought and something else to the eye for. Could it be if the temple was divided up, the Jewish giving their old testament sacrifices, the blood sacrifices, plus the Catholic plus Islam?
All three there on that temple. Could that be it? Well, I don’t think so because I think if you read Revelation chapter 13, the Antichrist, When he comes to power halfway through the tribulation and makes that proclamation, he is going to destroy the Catholic Church. In Revelation 17 it says he will burn her with fire and destroy the One World Church. So he will have no competition. He will be the only one to be worshiped. He is going to get rid of all the churches.
Also I believe that the churches around the world under the umbrella of the Roman Catholic Church during the tribulation period will actually only exist for the first three and a half years and then be destroyed by the Antichrist himself. Then the false prophet will be his cohort and will stick with him right to the end of the tribulation period. The Satan has his trinity. Numerous verses in the book of Revelation mention all three. There is Satan, of course, who is the anti-type of God.
There is the beast that is the anti-Christ and the anti-type of Christ. And then there is the false prophet who is the anti-type of the Holy Spirit. And you read in Revelation 20 verse 10 that all three are cast into the eternal lake of fire where Satan and the beast and the false prophet will be tormented day and night forever and ever and ever. But that won’t happen until after the thousand year earthly reign of Christ. Christ. Right. And something else is an interesting thought.
It refers to the inner Christ and the God of forces. You stop and think about that what that could mean. A military leader, such as the President of the United States, that has power over all the troops. I believe that will be the case. I think when it happens, whoever is president will be the the Antichrist, but that won’t be revealed to us until after the Rapture will be gone. That is all of us who are believers now will be taken out and then the Antichrist will be revealed.
I think we’re very close to that right now. I think we are too. Thank you. Uh-huh. Take care now. We are going to go now to Craig and Craig is in Bristol, Tennessee and Craig, welcome to Bible and You’re On The Air. Well, good morning. Thank you. I thank the bless me with your radio ministry My question for you this morning is when we get to heaven, what we see God as God, or we only see him through his son Jesus.
And if you could give me any biblical references, we’d appreciate it. And I will just hang up and listen to him. All right well obviously God is a spirit John 424 And you cannot see a spirit, but God has chosen to reveal himself in human flesh and Christ is chosen to remain in that body forever We are coming up on the first half hour here. This is Bibleline. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We are coming to you live from our studios here in Tampa.
I want to remind you we are coming up short here for the month of August. That’s from Bristol, Tennessee. We’re coming up on the end of the first half hour here and again, this is by the line I’m not carrying time for when we’re coming to you live from our studios here in Tampa I want to remind you we are coming up short here for the month of August I could really use your help this week to finish out this month and we could really use your help We are totally supported by our listeners and we don’t pay any salaries So all the monies really go to pay for the radio time, satellite time, the phone bills and equipment costs and the other costs are running the ministry.
But otherwise we’re probably the most efficient ministry there is. And we’re reaching out and really having a great impact, I believe, on loss and on save the like. And so if you could help us, would you consider giving a gift to Bible? calling in and giving a gift by credit card or calling in and asking for an envelope to be sent and mailing a gift in to Bibleline. In any case, I want to thank you in advance because God bless you and this is a week we got to finish it out now and we need your help this week to catch up with Bibleline.
I am going to take a short break. We’re going to be coming right back into a second half hour. So I’m Dr. Englund’s room and we’re going to get a break and we’ll be right back in just a moment. Don’t go ahead. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well I’m Dr. Englund’s room and it’s great to be with you today. We are coming to you from Tampa, from our studios at Calvary Community Church and we look forward to being with you each and every day.
Lots of things going on. We are excited about the fact that we have Gershon Solomon coming. If you are able to be here on September 11, 9-11 at 7 p.m. It’s a Thursday night you’ll be able to hear and talk to and shake hands with the man who might build the third temple. Now we’re going to video this and we will make that available after the fact. If you can be here in person, you’ll be able to hear him otherwise.
You will be able to get the video of the event. But pray for that. We’re living here at a very exciting time when the preparations have been made for a third temple that doesn’t exist in Israel at this moment. And just a few months ago, I stood on the temple mount exactly where I believe that third temple will be rebuilt. And it’s exciting. These are things that the Bible has spoken about thousands of years ago and they’re coming to pass before our very eyes.
We also are planning if the Lord doesn’t come back this year to go to Israel, February 23rd. If you’d like to get the brochure, would you call in and we’ll mail that right out to you? And I hope you’ll make a decision by October 1st because that will reserve your seat and you can pay it off I think right up until about a month before we depart you got to get it all paid off but if you just make that deposit it guarantees your seat will be there you can probably go after that but you may risk not having a seat on the same plane with us and I think you’d want to go all together so call in get a brochure I will send it right out to you and we hope that we’ll be able to answer any questions you have and we’d love to have you go with on my 16th trip to
Israel. We also want you to know we have Bible and music for children. There’s some exciting CDs that kids just love so much and you can have your child or grandchild or nephew Nise’s name placed in the CD so they’ll hear it about 40-45 times as they play it. It just is captivating and it’s a great tool to reach your children, grandchildren for the Lord. Look on our website or call in and ask about the CDs we have that are great for kids.
We’re going to be a real blessing as well. We’re going to be joining the stations that have been on break and do a second half hour of Bibleline. So stay tuned and here we go. We’re going to now rejoin the stations and we’re going to do that second half hour right now. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again. again is Dr. Hank Lynch from All Right We’re Back From That Break and this is Bibleline and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor.
We look forward to being with you every day Monday through Friday. I hope you’ll try to catch every program you possibly can. If you miss a program you can always go back and hear it on the internet. Go to our website BibleLineMinistries.org click on the spinning globe and you’ll be able to catch not only today’s program but probably about two years with the programs sitting there for you to watch. You can download them in the mp3 format and you can put them in your iPod and carry them around with you.
A lot of people do that and you can enjoy these programs again and again and again. And also you can catch our worship services. Click on the camera on the homepage and you’ll be connected to the worship services. And if you do that at 11 o’clock on Sunday morning, you can actually catch the worship service live as we bring the message. In fact, you can go right now and watch yesterday’s sermon. It’s sitting there waiting for you to take a look at.
go to BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the camera and you’ll find that you’ll be able to connect to the sermon that was given yesterday. And then a year’s where the sermons are sitting and are waiting for you. We are going to go back to the phone lines in just a minute, but that phone number is 1-800-576-3771. And we hope that you’ll give us a call. And We’ll try to answer your question or you can leave it off air with us. We’re talking about a trip to Israel and if the Lord doesn’t snatch us out this feast of trumpets this year, we’ll leave February 23, 2009.
If you’d like to get a brochure, call in and ask for the brochure and we’ll mail it out to you. You can also see it on our website. If you go to BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the Bibleline News on the homepage just above the camera and you’ll be able to see it come up and say Israel to a brochure. Click on that. You’ll see the whole brochure you can print it out on your printer. But if you’d like a nice professionally done brochure, you can call and we’ll mail that right out to you.
And I hope you’ll go. It’s trip number 16 for me. Also September 11th. this on your calendar. 9-11, 9-11, 9-11, September 11th. We have Gershan Solomon coming here from Jerusalem. He is the head of the Temple Mount Faithful. He’s an Orthodox Jew. He has been cutting the stones for the Third Temple. He was there in the Six-Day War in 1967 with with Moshelda and as they conquered the Temple Mount and Old Jerusalem, and he has had a vision to build that Third Temple because the Messiah will come back to a Third Temple.
If you read verses like Malachi 3-1, it says the Messiah when he comes will come suddenly to his temple. Well, there is no temple there right now, but he’s been getting the stones and it’s ready to go, I was standing on that temple mount just a few months ago and we stood right where I believe the Holy of Holies was and where the third temple will be built. Wow! And if you come to these meetings, you’ll be able to see, hear, shake hands with the man who might actually build the temple that Jesus will come back and in dwell during the Millennial Kingdom.
exciting. That’ll be September 9th 9 11 9 11 9 11 at 7 p.m. and I hope you’ll come here to Bible and headquarters and and get in on that. We’re gonna go to Bill in Richmond, Virginia. Bill in Richmond, Virginia and we’ll figure out what line he’s on. I don’t know what line is on. We’re on okay here we go. Bill you. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Bill?
Hello Bill. Hello. Hi, you’re on here. Hello. Hello. Thank you. Yes, sir. Good morning. Good morning to you. Good morning. Yes. I have two questions I’m going to try to ask you. One is when did the Jews begin to begin to seek Greek? And the other question is concerning the New Testament. Testament is written in Greek. rather than Hebrew. Good question. I’m going to hang up and listen to you on the radio. Okay. The Old Testament was written in the Hebrew language, and we find that as time went along, Alexander the Great conquered the whole known world, and he obviously established his language, the Greek language, and the Greek culture imposed that upon the whole world.
It became necessary because everybody was speaking Greek long before Jesus came and it was way back there about 250 years before Christ that there was a translation necessary and was made from the Hebrew into the Greek called the Septuagint. That translation was present when Christ was here on the earth. And so obviously the world language changed to Greek and obviously they needed to translate the Bible into Greek. And so that was a great translation. Subtrugent in the Greek being 70 scholars and that particular translation was done in Egypt.
That’s right. And it was in a city named after Alexander named that city. Well Alexandria and 70 scholars there translated the Hebrew Bible into Greek and it’s called the Septuod version and it’s still around to this day and it was used in the time of Christ. So hopefully that answers your question. The Jewish people and everybody on the planet was speaking Greece, Greek before Christ ever came. Okay, we’re now going to go to Jerry in Jacksonville, Florida and Jerry welcome to Bible and you’re on the air Hi, my question is Was polygamy okay with God in the Bible?
No, never It got people did it, but they they were disregarding God’s word It says in Deuteronomy 17 you’re not to multiply wives into yourself and And everybody who broke that rule got into trouble. You know, Abraham had a child by Hagar, and that caused a great deal of grief. Not only did the two wives have a lot of strife and fighting in the home, but also their sons couldn’t get along. And so those two boys, Ishmael and Isaac, were cousins, But the descendants of them are still fighting.
There has been an everlasting hatred between the descendants of Isaac and the descendants of Isak and the descendants of Isak, which are basically the Arab peoples and the Jewish peoples. And so it was never right. God warned about it. Whenever they broke those rules, they had problems. Solomon collected a bunch of wives. According to the Bible, he had 700 wives. And what happened was they turned away his heart from the Lord and he entered his false worship in Jerusalem.
God really chasing him sorely and took away his kingdom and obviously Solomon lost everything that he had because he disobeyed the Lord. So he was not for polygamy. David had several warriors too, right? Yes he did. So these were all, they booked the rules. If you read Deuteronomy 17, it says you’re not to multiply wives to yourself. And God always intended from the very beginning that the man and the wife would come together and become one family. And that was it until death to the apart.
So why the Mormons do this? Are they doing it because Solomon did it? You know the Mormons you can’t even really claim that they’re Christian. They’re a cult. They don’t believe in the Jesus that we believe in. They don’t believe in hell. They don’t believe in salvation by faith. In fact, the Mormons teach that they came here to this planet from another planet. They were all born on the planet Colab. And they migrated here, and they sent Jesus ahead as the Adam God to produce bodies for their spirits.
So the human race really comes from the planet Colob, but these are aliens that migrated here. So the Mormons are aliens. They don’t even claim to be. They don’t have the same belief system as we at all. Okay, well it’s interesting. Yes sir. Thank you for calling. And that was from Jacksonville, Florida. We now have a deathly in Miami, Florida and definitely welcome to my one year on the air. Yes. Good morning. Good morning. You’re on the air. I want to hear.
Yes, ma’am. Okay. I want to ask just a quick question. Is it true that Constantine, the consul of La Edisha, changed the sub-bot from Saturday to Sunday? No, it’s not true. The Sabbath was changed by Jesus. He came back from the dead on the first day of the week that’s Sunday. And we find that the next major appearance by Christ was on the eighth day, and that was also a Sunday. Then we have the church age beginning on Pentecost.
That occurred on a Sunday. Then you read the book of Acts, and you find the early Christians meant on the first day of the week. was a Sunday. You read the Epistles of Paul and it talks there about how the early Christians came together on the first day of the week which is Sunday. So that is certainly not true. And obviously the Sabbath was given to Israel, not to us Gentiles, and when Jesus died he nailed the commandments and the ordinances that were given from Mount Sinai to the cross and took them out of the way.
And it says in Colossians 2 16, let no man therefore judge you and meet or drink or in respect of the holy days or of the Sabbath day. We are not under the law and we celebrate the resurrection of Christ every time we meet on the first day of the week. And Jesus himself is the one who changed the worship day. I told me that in the Bible I do not, I guess you’re the first person I’ve talked to that says no it’s not true because I’ve heard that it’s written and the Catholic Church says that they were the one, the priest, they were the one that you came back.
That’s not true at all. The Catholic Church tries to claim a lot of things they haven’t done. They tried to claim that they gave us the Bible and they changed the Sabbath and they did a lot of things but they didn’t do any of those things. Jesus himself gave us the worship day. You know if you read the book of Acts you can just read now. I’ll give you one example. If you turn to Acts 20, you find that Paul preaches here in Acts 20, and it tells us here in verse 7 of Acts 20 and upon the first day of the week, that’s Sunday.
When the disciples came together to break bread, that’s when they came to worship and observe the Lord’s Supper, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on tomorrow, and he continued to speech until midnight. So they had a long preaching service all day long and they met on the first day of the weekend. You find that throughout the New Testament. You don’t find anything different than that. And the Sabbath was under the law. We’re not in under the law anymore.
We’re under grace. Okay. But over country right now, if I go next door and take a gun and shoot my neighbor, that’s what they’re going to put me in prison. If I bring them out, that’s a commandment. the Lord said, I did not come to destroy the law or the prophet, but to fill them up, to bring them up. He fulfilled them, right? And he did fulfill them. And obviously, you’re not to kill your neighbor. What we do now is, under grace, you know, we’re under now the law of love.
And if you love your neighbor as yourself, as Christ said, we ought to do, you wind up fulfilling all the law. Because if you love your neighbor, you’re not going to lie to him. If you love your neighbor, you’re not going to steal from him. If you love your neighbor, you’re not going to murder him. So obviously, we now operate under the law of love, which is a higher law than the Old Testament law given from Mount Sinai. But we’re not under the law.
Those that are trying to keep the law to be saved are not going to go to heaven at all. That’s sad. I know the 70 end, but it’s trying to say that Saturday is the mark. The Bible says in Colossians 216, let no man judge you in respect of this appetite. It’s gone. It’s been nailed to the cross and taken away. It’s been given to Israel. And if you look in the Old Testament, God said it was between, it was a sign of his covenant, his promise to Israel.
And it was between God and his The Bible says in Colossians 216, let no man judge you in respect of this appetite. It’s gone. It’s been nailed to the cross and taken away. It’s been given to Israel. And if you look in the Old Testament, God said it was between, it was a sign of his covenant, his promise to Israel. And it was between God and Israel. Israel not between anybody else. So you might want to take a look at that.
In fact, let me just read that verse to you back in Exodus 31. It says it several times that he never gave it to the Gentiles, but he gave it to Israel only. Let’s see here. It says in Exodus 31, speak thou under the children of Israel, verse 13, saying, fairly my Sabbath, you shall keep, for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations that you may know that I am the Lord and thus thanketh I you.
And if you read further down here it says in verse 17, it is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever. Nowhere did he ever give it to the Gentiles, and this is a Gentile age that began at Pentecost, God took away the commandments and nailed them to the cross and they are now gone. Thank you Angel for, or a definite for calling in from Miami. And we’re now going to Angel in St. Petersburg. Angel, welcome to Bibleline your own ear.
And I’m a collection here. It’s going to be in the book of Jude and the, uh, in unaware who will be for. Or Daniel. Yeah, who will be for a condemnation. Godly men turning the grace of our God into a civiness and denying the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. I’m reading this here And it’s like this God’s war ordained to this condemnation. It’s like if they were preordained for that. That’s kind of how I’m Well, they’re ordained to that because God has ordained everybody that rejects Christ Will go to hell and so this is that group that we deny Christ It says they deny the Lord that bought them, that died on the cross to pay for their sins, and they are out there the ones that are false preachers today that say that if you’re saved by grace, that that is easy believerism, and that that makes a license to sin.
You can just go out and live as you please, which is not true. Paul said that in Romans chapter 3 that they would slanderously slander him saying that let’s do evil that good may come. Paul said his damnation is just. That’s not the gospel. And in Jude is talking about these false prophets that would come in and teach false teachings within the church. And Paul said, and in Jude is saying we need to contend for the faith, the body of truth is contained in the New Testament.
It says which was once delivered unto the saints. Any new revelations that come along are to be rejected and we’re to stand for the truth of the Bible and we find that there are these that come along today that reject that and they reject Christ. And so everybody that dies without Christ has been ordained to go to hell. All that believe on Christ are ordained to go to heaven. But they’re alive and then if we don’t receive them we’re blotted out But it seems kind of and if he if he or can how would we ever come he didn’t ordain them to reject him He ordained the fact that they did reject him that they would go to hell He didn’t ordain their unbelief he ordained the destiny of the unbelievers So the unbeliever will go to hell and these go to hell because they are ungodly
that means they’re without God and they deny the Lord and they obviously reject the gospel message and slander it by saying it’s a license to sin. So this in this verse where I talked about that condemnation is hell. So the condemnation is not talking about them creeping in and believing the word. No, no, no. talking about the fact that they deny the only Lord God in our Lord Jesus Christ. So the fact that they deny Christ is why they’re ordained to go to help.
Okay, I’m gonna ask this and hang up. I mean they wouldn’t. D.L. Moody said it so well. I think you’ve heard me say it before. He said the Whosoever wills are the elect and the Whosoever won’t are the non-elect. So God before the foundation of the world in His sovereignty chose to save all that would believe on Christ. And God before before the foundation of the world in his sovereignty chose to send to hell all those who reject Christ as their Savior.
These are ordained to go to hell because it says you’re quite clearly in Jude 1, 4. They deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. If you deny Christ, if you reject Christ, if you do not believe that he died and paid your sin that in full, and that the only way you can be saved is my faith in his full payment, his finished work at the cross. You will not make heaven. And so that’s what he has ordained.
He didn’t make the choice for them, but he did ordain because they denied a Lord that they won’t go to heaven, but whosoever believeth in Christ would not perish but have everlasting life. Hope that helps. And thank you Angel for calling in and we’re now going to go to Troy in the land Florida and Troy welcome to Bimlin. Good morning, Pastor. Hey, good morning. What chapter in Revelations tells us the Antichrist and his background being that of Jewish and out of the tribe of Dan?
It doesn’t. It says that in Genesis 49 where you have Jacob there giving a prophecy about each of his twelve sons and he tells their Judah would be the tribe out of which Jesus would come, the Prince of Peace of the Peace-maker Shiloh would come, and then it follows with saying that the serpent tribe would be Dan and that the Antichrist apparently would come out of the tribe of Dan. So it’s not found in the book of Revelation and it’s in the book of Genesis.
Genesis chapter 49. That’s correct. Okay Pastor, thank you so much. You’re very welcome. It’s quite an amazing chapter and it all came to pass exactly as he prophesied here as the Lord had him just before he died, talked to his twelve sons and told them each of what their future held and Judah would be the tribe out of which Jesus would come and Dan would be the tribe out of which the Antichrist would come and that’s way back in the beginning pages of the Bible.
Isn’t that amazing? So the things we read about in the book of Revelation are obviously spoken about way back in the book of Genesis and it talks about Jesus way back in the book of Genesis and God’s of course tells the future before it happens so we can know it’s true. I’m Dr. Angelina Glenscherman, this is Bibleline and I want to encourage you if you can to help Bibleline as we close out this week. This is the last week of August and we are behind, we still need your help and if you could give a gift it would be so appreciated.
message. We really are stretched out there as far as we can go. The summer time is a lean time. We need your help to make sure that we have everything paid at the end of this week. If you can help us, it would be really a blessing from God. Would you call and give a gift to Bible and by credit card over the phone? Or would you call an Esfere numbel to be sent and mail your gift into Bible.
I want to thank you in advance for your prayers and for your gifts to my blind and for all of you who have already given. If you can give this week and help us come out on our feet, that would be wonderfully appreciated. It takes a great deal to be on the air and we totally are dependent upon you, the listener, and I know that God will reach to bless you as you invest in this program. We are reaching.
people we hear here all the time. People tell us how they’ve trusted the Lord through Bibleline and how many have gone off into ministry and we hear that all the time. People are reaching their family members of the gospel. They’re beginning to study their Bible again all because of Bibleline and we believe God is using this ministry in a wonderful way. Would you help us? Play for us and if you can call and give a gift to Bibleline. Don’t Don’t forget if you’d like to go to Israel, call and ask for that brochure.
When I go, if the Lord doesn’t come back before next February, but he might come and snatch us all out. I don’t know how much time we have left, but I really have a feeling we’re very close to the Lord’s return. And as believers we need to do all we can to get this message out to as many peoples we can while we still have time to do that. Again, I’m Dr. Angles, you’re going to hope you’ve trusted Christ as your Savior.
If you haven’t done that yet, would you? whisper this prayer. You say, Lord, I am a sinner. I don’t understand much about the Bible, but I believe Jesus Christ died on that cross. Paid for my sins in full by his death and shed blood was buried and rose again from the dead. And the moment you trust him, God will save you. And it’s a free gift. So many people want to keep the commandments or keep the Sabbath or be water baptized.
And the list goes on and on of all the different kind of human works you can do to try to save yourself. But nobody’s ever been saved by works. Everybody who’s ever been saved has been saved by faithful own in Christ. And when you trust Him, He saves you. And you receive eternal life at the moment, you believe. We always have such great questions and take us all over the Bible and I hope that you’re finding that interesting. One thing is for sure, the Bible is consistent and from Genesis to Revelation it teaches only one plant of salvation and that is salvation through Christ and He shed blood and it begins with the blood of the lamb that ables slew back in Genesis all the way to the last book of Revelation.
It talks about the blood being the means by which we are saved. What a great book. And I hope you are enjoying the programs and our learning and many people tell us that They learn more from Bibleline than they have in all their lifetime in church. Isn’t that amazing?
