We just got a call this week from Brian, our missionary in Japan, and he told me that he has been watching the sermons in Japan. He said it’s just absolutely God sent what he has been listening and learning on the website there and I hope you’ll check it out as well.

We are thinking about a trip to Israel, if the Lord doesn’t come back this year, boy the Lord is coming, is kind of getting close. And who knows, it could be this year, but if it isn’t, we’re going to plan to go to Israel February 23rd of 2009.
That brochure is available for you if you want to call and give us your name and dress will mail it right out to you. They’ll mail it out today. And by the way, you can go to the internet and we have on one place where our radio shows are and on light source where our TV programs are you can click there on a little link that says we’re going to Israel and pull the brochure but you can also get it off the home page where it says Bibleline news and click on there there’ll be a link that says Israel tour brochure and It will be a 10 day trip with an extension that leaves before the 10 days if you want to go with me to Egypt and to a lot on the Red Sea and also to the Rock City of Petra in Jordan.
It will be a total of a 17 day trip if you do everything and the brochure will explain it all. If you are going to go you really need to probably make your deposit by October 1st because. That will guarantee your seat on the airplane. The airline does not guarantee that they’ll keep the seat held unless you have that deposit, which I think is around $300. But if you’ll put that deposit down, you’re set to go and then you have several months to be able to pay off the trip before we leave February 23.
Also, we want you to know September 11, which is 9.11. That’s coming up really fast. That will be when we’ll have Gershan Solomon right here at our Bible and headquarters at Calvary Community Church. Gershan will be coming from Jerusalem. He is the head of the Temple Mount Faithful. He is the head of a group that has been cutting the stones for the third temple that has to be rebuilt right after the Rapture. It will be built, I believe. That is the temple the Antichrist will desecrate and that is the temple that Christ will come back and cleanse and rule the earth from.
Wow! So you could possibly actually be hearing, looking at, shaking hands with, having a short conversation with the very man who is going to build the third temple that the Bible predicts. That’s incredible, isn’t it? The Bible talks about this a long time ago, and here we are in the time when it’s going to take place, and we actually may be entertaining and talking to the man who will build that third temple. I hope you’ll come. 9-11 at 7 o’clock in the evening.
That’s Thursday night, the 11th of September. Come and join us for that. So on our Resource Center we have so many wonderful things. We have included in there a couple of great books by Dwight Pentecost. He’s written one with a classic called Things to Come. Really one of my favorites in my library as he really does detail the different viewpoints on different prophetic topics and lets you know why they’re wrong and why the right position is the right position.
It’s great. It really gives you a big beautiful mental picture. We have another one called Dispensational Truth written by Clarence Larkin about almost a hundred years ago. He drew about 160 charts that are in this book. It’s amazing. It’s as though he were drawing them after the fact. Because back then he drew the Jewish people going back to Israel, becoming a nation again. They weren’t even, there was no prospect of that. you really believe Israel would ever go back to the land unless you believe the Bible.
And because he believed the Bible so literally he drew these charts as though you were looking at them in the future as you look at them today and you say wow that’s right on he really had it right. That’s a great book also. And we’ve got so many more. We’ve got one called the Exodus case and it is really a high quality paper with lots of beautiful pictures. And this one is a thick one and it actually has pictures of the chariot wheels of the Egyptian army on the bottom of the Red Sea.
That’s right. Amazingly, they have discovered the chariot wheels where the children will cross the Red Sea as the Egyptian army drowned when God closed the sea back upon them. And there is one particular spoke wheel that has no incrustations growing on it. And that is because it is wood overlaid with gold and they believe that that is actually the Pharaohs chariot himself. Wow can you imagine these discoveries today are proving the Bible to me the word of God. It is exciting.
We are going to drive along the Exodus route along the Red Sea if you go with me to Israel and do the extension part. He’s going to be thrilling. Will he be going to be exciting? Well, I’m Dr. Englinsfer. I’m going to hope you’ll call in if you have a question. And we’ll try to talk about the Bible for a few minutes. We’re going to turn to the Old Testament to the book of Hagai. Hagai was a post-exile prophet.
He spoke to the restored remnant after the 70 years of captivity in Iraq. Remember Babylon came against Jerusalem, Nebuchadnezzar came and destroyed Jerusalem and the temple. That was Solomon’s temple that was destroyed. We find that while they went into exile into Iraq, in the seven years of captivity we are over, the Jews, many of them returned back to the Promised Land. They began to rebuild the temple and this would be the second temple. But they were really doing a very poor job.
They hadn’t finished it. And so the theme of the book of Haggai is the unfinished temple. His mission was to admonish and encourage the builders to get the job done. Let me just take a look and we’ll jump into this passage and see what Haggai says to the children of Israel. He says in verse 3, Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? And how do you see it now? Well, you know, if there were some of the older folks still around that maybe had seen Solomon’s temple before?
was destroyed in BC 606 had lived through the 70 years of captivity and they could pretty old wouldn’t it and if they could still remember and then they were to compare hey hey guy says you gotta be embarrassed because it doesn’t even compare notice it says is it not in your eyes in comparison as of nothing it’s nothing you have nothing you built here. And of course he tells him to be strong and to go forward and to build that second temple.
That’s the one that Jesus came to when he came here 2,000 years ago. It was refurbished by Herod. Herod spent a lot of money and made it really beautiful. So oftentimes this referred to as Herod’s temple. That also was destroyed, but it was destroyed by the Romans in AD 70. While we find here that this particular passage in Haggai has three temples in view. That’s right. God in his overview saw the Temple of Solomon, then the one they built after the Babylonian captivity, the one that he said they did such a poor job on, they needed to get it together and get it right.
Then it talks about a third temple that would be around when Jesus would come back and it says here, notice in verse 6 of this chapter 2 of Haggai, for thus their for Lord of Hosts. Yet once it is a little while and I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. And I will shake all nations and the desire of all nations shall come. The desire of all nations is Jesus. If you’re making notes in your Bible, you might want to put in the margin there next to Hagai chapter 2 verse 7 that the desire of all nations will come.
It’s interesting that I think people don’t even realize that they really want Christ to come back but they don’t know how to express that. You see the signs all the time, save the manatees, save the rainfores, save our resources and so on and so on and so on and save our planet. And what they’re really saying is they want Jesus to come back without knowing it because Jesus is the one who will rescue this planet from the curse and he will bring about a beautiful pristine earth for a thousand years when he rules on the earth at his second coming.
And so people are looking for this one they desire but don’t even recognize who he is, but he will come. This one that the people on the earth would love to seek come and restore peace on earth goodwill toward men will come. I will shake all nations and the desire of all nations shall come and I will fill this house with glory, say, if the Lord of hosts. in every case, even though it is a different temple, there is the first temple Solomon, second temple that built after the Babylonian captivity.
The third temple that will be built right after the Rapture, which I believe is the one that the stones, Gershan Solomon, has been cutting. We’re going to have him here, remember, 9-11, September 11 at 7 p.m. And it is still called this house or God’s house. It is the house where God’s presence would reside and the glory of God would fill that house or that temple. It says, I’ll fill this house with glory. Simple Lord of hosts. The silver is mine, the gold is mine, simple Lord of hosts.
But look at verse 9. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than that of the former house. What it’s saying here is that the first temple, Solomon’s temple, was the most spectacular of all. And the second temple didn’t ever compare to be as nice as Solomon’s temple. But the last temple, the one that will occur when Christ comes back and shakes the earth and the earth and the sea and the dry land, and shaking all nations, Christ will come back.
It says here that he would fill this house with his glory. That’s the second coming. And it says the glory of this latter house shall be greater. Then of the former. So we find the latter house will be the greatest of all three temples. That’s coming up. Now we believe we’re getting close because the very arrangements have been made for the furnishings and the stones have been cut for this temple to be built. I don’t believe there’s a thing that is left to have been done, you know.
And we’re going to get to listen to your son Solomon. Tell us about the progress. and where we stand. Israel, my glory, which is published by the Friends of Israel, had a very interesting article in their latest magazine, and they talk about, there are several different groups in Israel, each seem to be working on a different aspect of getting ready for the temple. Some have concentrated on the stones, like Gershan Solomon. Some Some have concentrated on the instruments of worship in the temple and the Temple Mount Institute is doing that.
There’s another group that’s just working on the priestly garments. There’s another group that is actually getting some of those from the priestly tribe together and training them how to actually carry out the sacrifices. So everything is really in place, and I believe that means that we’re getting close. The Antichrist will enter into that temple as we covered it yesterday in 2 Thessalon 2 4 and proclaim to the world that he’s God. And then it says Jesus will come back in 2 Thessalonians 4 8 and with the brightness of his coming, Christ will destroy the Antichrist and will cleanse that temple and establish His Kingdom of Peace on Earth, Good Will, toward Men.
Keep your eyes on Jerusalem. Keep your eyes on looking for Jesus to come back, because we believe He’s coming very soon. Maybe this year, who knows? I don’t have a date in mind, but I know that we should be watching it. Certainly, the things in our world today lead us to believe that the return of Christ is It’s got to be close. It’s got to be close. And because the Jews are back in their land, because the preparations have been made and everything is ready, I believe at any time Christ could come back and the third temple would be erected and that would mean we’d be on a collision course with the Antichrist and with then Jesus coming back to defeat him and fill this letter house with his glory.
I’m Dr. England from Mrs. Bible and I’m going to welcome our callers. Now that phone number is 1-800-576-3771. We have an off-air caller and I want to catch this one first, Howard in Tampa, Florida calls in and he says, where does your soul go after you die? It’s such an important question, but the answer is simple, Howard. If you turn to 2 Corinthians 5-8, I think you have a Christian who ought to write this one on their refrigerator or someplace, but 2 Corinthians 5-8 says, absent from the body present with the Lord.
So the question is, where does your soul go after you die? Answer, absent from the body present with the Lord. Now that’s if you’re a believer. If you’re an unbeliever, if you haven’t trusted Christ, then you’ll be absent from the body present in Hades and then after Christ has ruled and reign for a thousand years and Satan is Cashed into the eternal lake of fire Then you will be brought up out of Hades and cast into that eternal Lake of fire one more here.
I have Christian from Boston, Virginia Who says what can I say to someone who believes that the Bible is not the authority? But some of the other books like the Chorad and the Gere and so on, what do you think? Well, obviously the Bible precedes all of them. The Bible predicts the future and talks about other writings coming along that we need to reject. It says in Isaiah 8, 20, if they speak down according to this word, that is the word of God.
is given, then is because there is no light in them, there to be rejected. And so we need to go back to the Bible and see what it says. And if we do and compare what we’re hearing today, we have to reject those that are contrary to the Bible. There is no book like the Bible. And we’ve been covering this week some of the amazing things that God does to prove in them fit what we have here is his word the fact that he knows we’re obstinate and brass and iron neck And tells us the future and things that we didn’t know before they come to pass.
That’s wonderful. We have Donna in Bradenton, Florida, and she says, I need a sword of the Lord verse to cut through a hardened heart of a 99-year-old woman. I only know the living works of the Bible can get through quickly. Well, Dana, I think any one of some of the wonderful salvation verses would be adequate. You know, it says in Hebrews 4, 12, the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, and it divides between the soul and the spirit and the joints of the morrow, and there’s a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart, Hebrews 4, 12.
So take a verse like a John 3, 16, or a John 6, 47. In fact, the older the person is, the simpler I like to become for them. And so I would take a verse like John 647, barely, barely, or truthfully, truthfully. I say unto you, he that believeth on me, Jesus says, has everlasting life. In other words, you receive everlasting life by trusting Christ as your Savior. And you possess it from that moment and forever thereafter. Hopefully that helps.
Al leaves this offer a question from Yiddik and New York. It says that it is between Satan and Gabriel regarding Moses’ body. What is this all about? Well, if you read the book of Jude, you’ll find in verse 9 of chapter 1 that Satan and Michael got into it over the body of Moses. believe what happened was that God has preserved the body of Moses. And he has preserved it for Moses to come back during the tribulation period. Did you know that Elijah will come back?
The last two verses of the Old Testament, Malachi 4, 5, and 6 tell us that Elijah will come back. In Revelation chapter 11 it names that there will be two prophets that will come back and crank up the witnessing process right after the rapture when there are no believers left on the earth. And so guess what? We find that the second prophet is Moses. It tells us in Revelation 11 he will be able to turn the water to blood despite the earth with all the plagues as often as you will.
Has to be Moses. And that’s what that’s all about. So basically Satan is calling foul play, not fair, unfair. You can’t do that. You can’t keep Moses’s body fresh and alive until he comes back. But that’s apparently the case. We have Chuck in Flint, Michigan, and he says, contrast the difference between Jonah 411 and 1st Samuel 15. Why would God have compassion one time and not both times on innocent children and animals? Well the answer is, the Jonah, when he preached the city of Nineveh, responded.
And so God postponed judgment for Nineveh, and several hundreds of years later they went back to their old ways and God did destroy Nineveh so thoroughly that to this very day Nothing but the ruins of Nineveh remain Nineveh has really never been rebuilt and that was a judgment against Nineveh So eventually he did judge Nineveh, but he was kind and sparing because they responded to the preaching of the gospel through Jonah to their city Exciting all right our phone number if you want to call us 1-800-576-3771 1-800-576-3771.
William in Roswell, Virginia, excuse me, Georgia calls in with this offer of questions. He says, what is that blood of Jesus Christ that justifies us? Well, it’s the blood in his body that we shed on the cross of Calvary and verse after verse of your verse tells us that we were redeemed with the precious or sinless blood of Jesus Christ as of a lamb without blemish and one out spot. First Peter, Chapter 1, tells us that, and numerous other verses tell us that he shed his blood in order that I’ve since made be paid for.
And you’ll find that the Bible says in Hebrews 9.22, without the shedding of blood. There is no remission for sin. We’re going to have to go to break here and we’ll take our live colors right after the break and so be patient and keep calling us. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and we’re coming to the end of the program. Also, to the end of the month of August, I will not be live with you again until next week and then we’ll be in September.
and again we’re finishing out August and we still have a ways to go but we’ve done pretty well and thank God for all of you who have prayed for and given to Bible end but you could still help us and we still need that help so if you could call and give a gift to Bible end today over the phone that would be greatly appreciated I’ll tell you so that we can in the summer and in this month with all of our bills paid for.

Go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771.
That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, I’m Dr. Englund. It’s great to be with you this Friday. Let me just encourage you to go to church someplace this Sunday. Try to find a good sound Bible believing church. That’s what God intended. If you read the New Testament record, That’s what the early church did and that’s what made them strong. They came together to study the word of God and They would meet on the first day of the week Well in any case you can attend our service whether you are physically near or not because we put it on the internet So you can watch it on your computer from anywhere in the world go to Bibleline ministries not o Rg Click on the camera on the home page and if you do that at 11 o’clock this morning the audio and the video will come up as soon as

We would love to have you basically get that brochure and then talk it over with your family and make that decision. And hopefully be on board with us.
We’re flying with L.L. Probably one of the safest airlines in all the world. the world. I guess it is the safest and you’re welcome to get the brochure, make your decision, and if there’s any way I can help explain anything, please call me and we’ll try to do that for you. We also want you to know that we are finishing out August and we can sure use in the last minute help here to make sure that we get all our bills paid and we’re getting closer but we still here on the last radio day in the month of August, still have a little bit of need sitting out there.
So would you consider calling today and giving a gift by credit card over the phone? If you would like to mail it, you can call and ask for an envelope to be sent with our address on it and just mail it in to Bibleline. And we also of course know that you can call and just do it directly over the phone or on our online bookstore which is secure. We’re going to join the stations that are going to break and do a second half hour of Bibleline right now.
So keep you ready to write where it is. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lynch from We’re back from that break and this is my blind and this is Friday, and this is the second half hour of the Bibleline program today. And we’re coming to you live from our studios in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor.
If you don’t have a church home, you’re welcome to come and visit us in person or visit us on the internet. You can join our worship service on Sunday morning by going to our website bybellignministries.org Clicking on the camera and if you do that at 11 o’clock Sunday morning, you’ll find that as soon as I begin the message the audio and the video will come up and you’ll be able to watch and enjoy. And as I said, our missionary that we have in Japan, Brian, called earlier this weekend, he’s been watching the Sunday Sermons and he says they’re just powerful exactly what he’s needed lately to reach the Japanese people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Isn’t that exciting? And so we know that we have people all over the world that are watching and are telling their friends to tune into the Bibleline broadcast. But you can join our Sunday worship if you don’t have a place to attend Sunday. Do that. But if you have a good Bible-believing teaching church, then that’s just fine. But if you’re in the Tampa Bay area, you’re welcome to come out and visit our church, Calgary Community Church, the one I pastor here in Tampa.
Well, we’re going to go to the phone lines here and we have Ed and Jacksonville, Florida and Ed, welcome to Bibleline You Are On The Air. Okay. Yeah, Dr. Longston, I got a comment on the predestination questions. I mean, last week I’m done in the description that I was given, in 1925-41. It was not made for me. It was made for the devil on his angels. The Lord wouldn’t change his mind or move stuff into different operations if this were not true.
It just seemed like he’s not a creator. Well, what he says is of course the devil is involved in blinding the loss of the human race and preventing them from getting saved. getting saved, but when he condemns these lost people at the different of the nations, the lost the goats, he says to them, depart from me into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angel. So the loss of mankind will also join Lucifer or Satan. Satan will go to hell and also so will his angels and then also so will everybody in the human race.
It all happens at the same time in that order. So when we come to the Great White Throne Judgment, we find that in verse 10 it tells us Satan is cast into the lake of fire. Then verse 11 we have his angels cast into the lake of fire. And then we have the loss of mankind cast into the lake of fire in verse 14. And then we’re into eternity. So definitely that’s where the Lord sends all of the unbelievers.
Well, I understand that. But he did not treat Deathton man to go to heaven or hell. He didn’t create to be a destroyer. In other words, if you said, if you predestined somebody, that’s an amazing thing. a nomination. Well, I agree. I agree. The man has a choice. And if you don’t trust Christ, you’re already headed for hell. We’re born in the centers, already condemned, already headed for hell. I saw a track that somebody wrote one time. It says a list of things you must do to go to hell.
And when you open the track, it’s blank. You don’t have to do anything to go to hell, but just die. But to go to heaven, you must trust in the Savior that God has provided, because God provided a Savior in Christ to rescue everybody in the human race, potentially no one has to go to hell. All that trust Christ would be saved or delivered and would go to heaven. But, otherwise, the whole human race is headed for hell. If you don’t have a free will choice, there’s no true act of love to a sample.
No, I agree. Certainly we have a free will choice that God does not choose who’s going to go to hell and who’s going to go to heaven. I don’t know if your radio is still up or not but we’re getting a lot of noise and feedback when I bring up your phone there. And so I hope that helps. Yes, it does. When Peter preached the gospel to Cornelius, they did not say a center’s prayer. All of a sudden the Holy Spirit fell on them.
And this is not a contentious question, but I just ask you, Romans 10, 9, and 10 did not come into practice there. What do you think was the dynamic there, the spiritual dynamics of Peter preaching to the Cornelius and his band? Well, what happened there is that they were so hungry, so ready, so anxious that they believed before Peter was a Christian. believe before Peter could ever give an invitation. I’ve had that happen many times. I’ll be talking to somebody about the Lord and I’ll ask them, finally, have you ever trusted Christ as your Savior?
And they’ll say, yes. And I’ll say, well, what did you do that? And they said, just now as you spoke, as I was explaining, they believe. And so some people do that. And then with others, if you just confront them a little bit and say, Why not make that choice right now and trust Jesus as your Savior? They’ll do that upon being urged a little bit, but there are many who simply believe Because they’re ripen ready and they just believe as they hear it And there’s a contention before man eventually in the baptism in water there’s a public Conception that’s it’s like yeah, no, but that’s I just want to know know about that.
That’s a good answer Thank you very much. Ed, thank you for calling in from Jacksonville, Florida. We now have Dave in Plant City, Florida. Dave, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Good morning, Dr. Hank, how are you today? Good. Always a pleasure to talk to you and I certainly appreciate you taking my call. I’d like to ask you this morning about 1st Chronicles 2, chapter 55 verse. There’s a certain TV preacher. He claims that the lineage of Cain carried on through the flood and he uses this verse to support what he teaches.
Could you kind of look that verse over and clarify this verse and explain that there aren’t no Kenites in this time and age and I’ll hang up with the answer. Thank you. Alright. All right. Okay. We need to see if I can find the first critical chapter two. I think you said verse 19. here. There is no verse 19 and I must have the wrong chapter here. But just to summarize it anyway, there are no descendants of Cain around.
They all drowned in the flood. Remember at the flood, when the ark was built, there were only eight people that entered the ark. And there was Noah, and this was Noah, and there were three sons and their wives, which would be a total of eight people and the descendants of Cain perished in the flood. So maybe they find another fellow with the same name which is possible. You know because at every age we have people that sometimes have the same name but they’re not the same person and so Joshua that led the children of Israel out of the wilderness into the Promised Land is not the same Joshua that was high priest in the book of Zechariah much later in history and so on.
There are so many that will have the same name. I think there are about seven different Marys in the New Testament and only one of them is the Mary that was the mother of the flesh that God took upon itself. Dave I hope it helps. I couldn’t find the exact first I think I missed that reference. Let’s go to Adam now in Tampa and Adam, welcome to Bottom Line, you’re on the air. And the question is about John’s baptism.
It appears that it was baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sin. I thought Christ blood was the only forgiveness of sin. Well, it is. And let me just give you a clearer presentation. You know, Paul tells us about John’s baptism in Acts chapter 19. If you’ll turn over there, look at what Paul says about what John had been preaching and what he intended by his baptism. On my way there myself, in Acts chapter 19, here we have, he finds a group of followers of John the Baptist.
He discerns that they were not saved. He says in verse 2, Have you received the Holy Spirit when you believed? Have you heard this Holy Spirit when you believed? And by the way, the King James gets it wrong. It says, have you received the Holy Spirit since you believe? And boy, that has caused an untold amount of damage because there are some churches that believe that the Holy Spirit… The receiving of the Holy Spirit is a secondary blessing or a subsequent experience to salvation.
That’s not true. So, really, you should read, have you received the Holy Spirit when you believed? And they said, no. And, of course, without the Holy Spirit, you’re not saved. Romans 8, verse 9, if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. So here he takes what they did know and they had been baptized by John the Baptist and he explains it to him. Verse 4 of Acts 19 then said Paul, John barely baptized with the baptism of a change of mind, right?
Repentance. Saying unto the people that they should what? Believe on him which should come after him. That is on Christ Jesus. How clear can you get it? So the baptism of repentance was a change of mind about who Christ is and how they were to be saved and to believe on Christ as their Savior to be saved, and they did. And here we find that they got saved and Paul baptizes them and it was obviously a wonderful day of evangelism.
He got them saved. it was clearly here a repentant simply meaning a change of mind about Christ and to believe that he that followed after John the Baptist was indeed the savior. Okay, we’re going to go now to Charlie in Richmond, Virginia. Charlie welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Go ahead and turn your radio down. Okay. All right, Charlie. What do you think, sir? You’re on the air. Go ahead. If you’re listening to the radio, it’d be confusing.
There’s a 20 second delay or so and you have to just turn your radio down and listen to the other phone. Good morning, Doc. Good morning. How you doing? Good. Yeah, I just want to ask you a couple of… What is the question? Yeah, absolutely. You’re still listening to the radio and I told you there’s a 20 second delay and if you do that, you’ll be forever because you’ll never… You gotta listen to me over the phone. I read the book of Samson and I know that from where I have been reading that he went to heaven.
But you know it’s a lot of, you know, I got some people that I discuss this with. A lot of people think that you gonna go to here if you commit suicide, but I’m telling you the only way you can go to here if you get Christ at death. But if there’s some other scriptures or some other people that didn’t worry that you can give me clothes your own death, that I can write the scriptures down and you can give me the name of the people that commit the suicide because I know that I read a couple more books in the Bible.
But I can’t remember. I’m aware and I’m a hanger phone in listen to what you have to say. Okay. First of all, you always interpret a difficult doctrine or verse in the light of a clear one. Now in John 637, Jesus makes it ultra clear. He says, Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. That means under no circumstance would I ever cast out a believer? And there’s no exception clause that doesn’t say except for suicide.
He He said, him that cometh of me, I want to know why he’s cast out. So you know that you’ll never be cast out, period. Then verse 39 of John 6, Jesus also says, this is the father’s will which has sent me, that of all of which have given me I should lose none. He makes a promise here and says it’s God’s will that not one person who ever came to Christ in all of history, whatever he lost. So once you become saved, you’re stuck.
You have to go to heaven whether you like it or not. He has Judas now who commits suicide and he goes to hell. Many have wrongly concluded that he went to hell because he committed suicide. In fact, the Roman Catholic Church has believed and taught that and has really been the one that has helped so many people get confused on this topic. But if you read John 664, Jesus said he knew from the beginning who they were that believed not and who should betray him and he spoke of Judas is scary.
So Jesus is telling us that Judas was never a believer. He had even a believer he wouldn’t have gone to hell, but because he was never a believer. He went to hell because he was not a believer. You see, it’s the unbeliever who goes to hell. It’s the believer who goes to heaven. Now you have the case of Saul in 1 Samuel in the last chapter. It tells us there that he fell upon his own sword after being wounded and he took his own life.
from that chapter in the story in chapter 28 of the Witch of Indoor that Samuel the prophet told Saul that he was going to die and that he would and his sons would join him obviously in paradise so Saul was saved but he did commit suicide and there are other examples of the Bible and hopefully that helps a little bit and thank you so much for your call we now have David Albany New York and Dave welcome to my blend you are on the air Hey dr.
Hank. Are you done good? Listen, I would just listen Mr Preterus Mr. Preterus John McArthur okay, and he started you know given the gospel with the phleges on one three to fourteen uh… should you be started with the other three sixteen i mean why is he starting why is he trying to explain about what with those scriptures as opposed to the normal gospel scriptures that we use like you know dot three sixteen phleges two eight and nine from the on eleven six and so on and so forth well the answer is the answer is he’s a Calvinist and he believes that God makes the choice, you don’t, and you’re already chosen.
Look at what it says in Ephesians 1-4. This is why he would go there. In Ephesians 1-4, and we’ll just talk about it for a minute here. It’s interesting. It says, according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world. And the Calvinist looks at that and says, see, before the foundation of the world, God chose you to be saved. What they miss here, and this is the key part, the two words here according as you have chosen us in Him.
In other words, God before the foundation of the world chose to save everybody that would be in Christ. If you look over to the book of Philippians, just a little bit to your right, in Philippians 3 and 9 it says, be found in Him. That is in Christ. be found in him and if you jump to the end of the verse it says by faith. In other words when you place your faith in Christ God the Holy Spirit takes you and places you into the body of Christ and so God sees you in Christ and everybody in Christ is chosen to be saved.
Everybody who doesn’t trust Christ is not in Christ and everybody not in Christ is chosen to go to hell so God chose to to condemn all those who do not believe on Christ, but he chose to save everybody that would trust Christ’s Savior. Let me give you this illustration. Let’s just say, and I’m in Tampa, Florida, and I’m just a block from the main international airport here, let’s say there’s a flight this afternoon headed for Chicago non-stop, Tampa, Chicago.
Now, the airline has already determined that that particular flight, let’s say, leaving it for the afternoon is going to leave Tampa and fly directly to Chicago. So that’s been pretty common before the airplane ever takes off by the airline. Now you have a choice whether you’re going to be in that flight or not. So if you go over to the airport and you buy a ticket, you can step into that plane. And if you’re in that plane at four o’clock when it takes off, guess what?
in that plane at four o’clock is going to leave Tampa and arrive in Chicago. Well, basically the Bible says everybody in flight Jesus is going to go to heaven. Now God determined before the foundation of the world that everybody in flight Jesus will make heaven. So that’s been arranged and predetermined by God before the foundation of the world. Now it’s your choice whether you want to be in flight Jesus or not. And that’s your choice. And it says As in Philippians 3.9, we found in Him in Flight Jesus by faith.
So it’s that simple. And I hope that that’s… What I mean… So that means that, uh, reaching in all the gospel, they can’t be on Flight Jesus, can they? Well, you know, they certainly make it confusing. And I believe that they just work at it sometimes, because they’re not reading the Bible very carefully. That’s really not being very careful as a Bible student. When you read verse 4, and you miss the key phrase, which you’ll find throughout the New Testament epistles of Paul, especially, in him in Christ Jesus, it’s everywhere.
as a believer is clear that the Holy Spirit takes the believer at the moment of trusting Christ and places you into Christ’s body. And so you are seen by God as in his body and whatever happened to Christ in his body happens to you. So therefore the believer in Christ is crucified with Christ, buried with Christ, resurrected with Christ, ascended with Christ, then Ephesians 2, 6 says that we’re already seated with Christ in heavenly places because that’s where Christ is right now.
He’s seated and God sees us in Christ’s body so he already sees us in heaven seated there. But it’s our choice whether we’re going to be in Jesus or not. And if you trust Christ as Savior, you’re in Christ and therefore it’s been predetermined everybody in that category will go to heaven if you don’t have your soul on thank you for the call and now we’re going to go to uh… jona in pimp of water kjona welcome to buy one idea of this morning but good i had a question of regarding a of for the month morning i can’t remember where to find it out regarding uh…
Where some of the followers were telling the Lord that we cast out demons in your name, we profited in your name, we did all this in your name. He said to apart from me you were the help of an equity for. I never knew you. Right. And they don’t even realize it’s talking about Jehovah’s Witnesses. If you read that verse. verse it’s Matthew 7 22 and it says many will say to me in that day Lord Lord didn’t we preach in your name they’re out there preaching on the streets all the time and healing in your name and done many wonderful works in your name and Christ will say to them I never knew you why because they didn’t say they didn’t say Lord Lord didn’t we believe that you You came and died on the cross of Calvary to pay for our sins by your death and shed
blood as you died in our place and that you were buried in it, you rose again from the dead. We placed our trust in the death of the bear, the resurrection of Christ as the means of our salvation. Christ was said, come on in. But these are people who are trying to work their way to heaven and everybody is trying to work their way to heaven is going to be in that category. And they’re going to say, Lord, Lord, look at all the wonderful things we’ve done and When they’re bragging and boasting, when the Bible says in Ephesians 2 9, salvation is not of works, lest any man should boast or brag.
Right, I showed them that one. That one I would recall from memory, but yeah, I was just kind of flipping through. But that’s what I was trying to explain to them. It’s not about works. I mean works are true faith anyway, but it’s not the absolute requirement. I mean, they work their way to heaven, whereas we, you know, 144,000 of them work their what happened well they they’re gonna make it all and then they obviously don’t even as I point out that they are without Christ and they’re without God in 1st John 2 23 it says who’s over tonight at the Sun the same half not the father well they’re not the son so I tell them that they’re Jehovah’sless you don’t have Jehovah because you reject Christ therefore you don’t have the father so The Joel’s one is as can you imagine our Jehovah’s?
Right it’s time it’s amazing. It’s frustrating arguing with them Well keep working at it. Just keep trying to show them the scriptures and maybe a little light will break through But all I can do that’s all you can do. Thank you Jonah. Thank you Jonah in Tampa, Florida and that passage was Matthew 7 22 and 23 all right, we’re now going to go to to Freddy, the orange or rather Orlando in Orange City. Orlando is next to Orlando. Hey, welcome.
Thank you. I have a question about whether God, he speaks in Old Testament, and he would speak to believers like you did like you mentioned with the And that will focus on and also when it talks about when Abraham spoke with the man, the rich man. Can you comment on that? Well today Christ, God speaks to a serious word and if you’re hearing voices in the sky I would begin to question what’s going on in your life. In any case we are to read His word.
We have a completed word and this is how God talks to us. So if you want God to talk to you open up the Bible and read it if you keep your Bible zipped up it on the shelf Then you’re not really allowing God to speak to you. So that’s the key and But in the Old Testament times he did speak with different individuals But generally those weren’t everybody on the block it was special ones that were To care a special purpose for God.
