And, I think, we’re getting very close to when the Lord is going to come.
I don’t know what year is coming, but he could come this year, wouldn’t it be something if you and I were a part of that group that will be simply caught up to meet the Lord in the air. If you’re a believer, then the Bible tells us that we ought to be setting our affection on things that are heavenly. Let’s turn to the book of Colossians chapter 3. And it says, If you then be risen with Christ, the Bible talks about believers being placed into the body of Christ.
And that happens at the moment of belief. And this is the operation it happens at the moment. The Bible is the name of the Holy Spirit. You are placed into the body of Christ and then whatever happened to Christ’s body is what happened to you as far as God is concerned. you were crucified with Christ and you were buried with Christ and you were resurrected with Christ. And here it talks about if you then be risen with Christ seek those things which are above.
So this is referring to every believer. So we have every believer. Okay, so we have every believer in the body of Christ and crucified, buried, resurrected, ascended and seated in heavenly places in Christ. So then it says, set your affection, this is Colossians 3-2, on things above and not on things on the earth. So we’re to set our affection on things above which are heavenly things. We are passing through, but our real treasures should be heavenly treasures and our desires should be on heavenly things so that we are going through this world recognizing that we are just passing through.
Our purpose while we are here is to influence this world for Christ. That means to bring people to a saving knowledge of Christ by our witness and by our sharing of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Every believer can do that and every believer ought to be doing that. And it tells us here in verse 3 going back to the same thought, for you are dead and your life is hit with Christ in God. Christ who is our life shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory.
Every believer is guaranteed to go to heaven. Every believer will be there forever. Now some people keep bringing up the question, well what about if you sin as a believer? And the answer is of course we will sin. But if you deliberately sin or live in deliberate sin, God is going to thank you. And that means he is going to discipline your life. And you will find that there are numerous examples in the Bible of that. If you read 1 Corinthians, it sure talks about a lot of them.
In chapter 10 it gives us a number of illustrations. And in one case there are 23,000 Christians that are taken home to heaven early because of sin in their life. Isn’t that amazing? So obviously you can be taken out. In 1 Corinthians 5 there is a man who is living in Fortication with his mother. He’s proud, he’s puffed up, he’s a believer, and apparently he’s not going to stop. And Paul says in verse 5, a 1 Corinthians 5, to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh that the Spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
So there you have it. Here this man was turned over to Satan to take his body, to take his life, but yet he would be saved one day when we stand before the Lord. He’ll be there and he’ll be there in a brand new body, just like us. But he will have been taken home to heaven early and I am sure suffer loss of reward at the Judgement seat of Christ. And you have so many illustrations in the New Testament of believers being taken out prior to when they should have gone to heaven.
Ananias is the fire in Acts chapter 5. The Lord took them out almost immediately. They died as believers and they were taken to heaven early. the Bible promises that every believer can be absolutely assured of going to heaven from the moment you trust the Lord. But you might get there earlier. God wants you to live a life that he can bless, that he can reward. And unless you’re living that life, he’s going to interfere. But God doesn’t interfere in the life of an unbeliever.
If you’re an unbeliever, You can seemingly live as you please and get away with it because God does not interfere in how you are living your life. So obviously as a believer we want to be faithful and serve and live for Christ not because we’re worried about whether we’re going to be saved or not but because we don’t want to the Spleas Lord, and we certainly don’t want to have him have to spank us or discipline And we certainly don’t want to lose the loss of reward that we as a believer could have if we only trusted him as our Savior.
So we’re excited about the fact that you’re saved and now you can concentrate your life on sharing the gospel with those that are lost as you pass through this world. our sights ought to be on heaven. And one day hopefully, having all of our loved ones and friends, they’re in heaven with us as we attempt to leave them to Christ while we’re here. It is God’s plan for you and me to lead our families to Christ and our loved ones, our children, make sure that they’re all saved and we need to work on that.
We have a great book here called Handbook through Personal Evangelism which tells you exactly how to be able to I share that gospel with somebody who is in your family or with somebody who’s in a cult, somebody who’s agnostic or an atheist, and it gives you the one-on-one conversation on how to be able to talk to them and lead them to Christ. You might want to decide to get that. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We’re going to go to the phone lines.
We have a lot of them lighted up here. We have a skip in clear water. We’re going to go to him first. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771 and skip, welcome to Bibleline you’re on here. Good morning, Dr. Hank. I have a question about 1 John 3, like verses 6 through 8. We’re saying, who’s whoever is a buyer for him, sineth not. Right, those are seemingly difficult, but actually it’s talking there about the new birth. And once you become born again, you have a birth that is not capable of sinning.
At the same time, we have an old nature that desires the sin, and if you read chapter 1, one verse eight, it almost seems like a contradiction. Because over there it says if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. But then if you look at 1 John 3 9, it says, who’s whoever’s born of God, that’s not commit sin. For God’s seed remain within him and he cannot sin because he’s born of God.
So there we have noticed God’s seed dwelling in the believer, and this is the brand new birth that we have which is born of God, which is a sinless nature that is not capable of sinning at all. And in contrast we have the old nature inherited from Adam that continues to sin. So the Bible here is contrasting the two. And as a believer, the new nature is not capable of committing any sins. So it’s pointing out really you’re living in the flesh if you are sinning because it’s your old nature that is the cause of sin.
Your new nature is not capable of sinning at all. In Ephesians there’s a great passage there where it talks about the two and it talks about us making the choice in our life as to which nature is going to be the dominant nature and how that we ought to like as we put on clothing, put on the new nature, which is the new birth. That, it tells us, is sinless and perfect, and we’re to put off the old nature, or take that the pseudo-close off and put it in the closet.
Let me read it to you. It says in Ephesians 4 in verse 22, that you put off concerning the former manner of life the old nature, the old man which is corrupt according to the deceitful lust. So here talks about the old nature being corrupt and it’s corrupt according to the deceitful lust. But then it says in verse 24 that we should put on the new man which is that new nature discussed there in 1 John chapter 3 which after God has created in righteousness and true holiness.
So the new nature is created in righteousness, true holiness. It says it is not capable of chapter 3 verse 9 of 1st John of sinning. It cannot sin because it is kind of Himself’s nature. Therefore we have this conflict as a believer throughout our life between the old and new natures. You are sure welcome. Thank you, Skip, and Clearwater. And that is what is talking about in chapter 3 is the new nature, chapter 1, the old nature. We have an anonymous caller from Tampa.
And Mr. Anonymous, welcome to Bible Eye of the Year. Yes, hi, Pastor. Good morning. God bless you. I have a question. I actually have to question. I’m going to be pleased. Where’s that? Economic collapse. We have a law for one that is still not safe. Should we make something in writing for bin, or of course the Bible, but should we make something in writing for bin to find out beside the will and the Bible? I think it’s a great idea.
We have a number of people in my church that have done that where they have where they’re valuable papers. their valuable papers are, should they disappear the rapture that their family members would come looking maybe for them and find the papers and hopefully a letter telling their testimony and where, what has happened. And I think it’s a great idea to let them know that if I have disappeared along with many others, it’s because I’m a believer and here’s what happened.
I trusted Christ and, and I encourage them to trust the Lord as their savior. In fact, we have a person in here working with the radio right now that wrote a 26-inch letter He’s left everywhere for people to read should I disappear if the word comes this year Oh, that’s a great idea because I I have seen I am very nervous You know for Dan and I’m really really kind of upset because I was thinking what should I I leave the Bible on the wheel.
So it’s a good idea to write in a letter and let them know. And some people leave a little tape recording. They leave a little cassette or they even make a little video. Nowadays it’s so easy to make a video. They set up a camera and they say, look, here you’re watching me. And I’m telling you that I’m a believer and should I disappear, this video will explain what happened to me. Oh, okay. Thank you, Pastor. I have one second question.
Just a brief two. On that note, someone asked you about the beginning of the war. You said that 65,000 years ago, an asteroid hit the Earth. And then you continue, but it was kind of linked to the Bible, if I understand, to the first page of the Bible. And I was looking but there is nothing in the Bible on where it is in the Bible anything about diastro. And I will hang up on the dual analysis. Okay. Thank you.
You’re sure welcome. Actually, in Isaiah 45-18, you have to make this connection between that and Genesis 1-2. It says in Genesis 1-2 that the earth became without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. We believe that’s the result of a judgment upon the earth because of Satan’s rebellion and attempt to overthrow God as we believe all the angels lived on that original earth and how that Satan or Lucifer grounded up a third of them to leave the earth and try to overthrow heaven.
Now in Isaiah chapter 45 verse 18, it talks about the Lord that created the heavens and the earth. He created them perfect. So he didn’t create them imperfect as we find them in Genesis 1, 2. It also says there he created them inhabited. Then it says also he did not create them void. And the word void is the same word in the Hebrew translated vain in Genesis 1, 2. So we learn according to Isaiah 45 and 18 that God did not create the earth the way we defined it in verse 2.
So apparently there was a judgment that came along that destroyed the earth. Now Jeremiah 4 also is a passage where God takes Jeremiah back to that event when it took place. And Jeremiah says, for lo and behold, I beheld the earth, and it was without form and void. And he describes a judgment that occurred on that original earth by the anger and fierceness and wrath of Almighty God himself that came upon the earth because we believe of Satan’s sin.
So God judged the earth and Satan and his angels. And we don’t know when, but if you go to what NASA says, they tell us that the dinosaurs were actually destroyed 65 million years ago. You see it all the time now in print, and you hear it all the time. This apparently is a consensus that when this asteroid, and if you look at that brown circle area of the Yucatan Peninsula in the Gulf. This asteroid had a diameter of about 150 miles.
That’s a big piece of rock. And they tell us that when it struck, it threw up so much debris. In the years of the atmosphere, it shut off the sun’s light for millions of years. We find that Genesis 1-2 says darkness was upon the face of the deep. So we find life destroyed and darkness coming. If you match up with what NASA says, that was 65 million years ago. The last phrase in Genesis 1-2 says the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
That word moved is a Hebrew word that means to incubate or to brood upon it’s the same word used of a mother hen Sitting on the eggs and incubating them and getting them ready to hatch out In any case it tells us basically the Holy Spirit apparently warmed up the earth Fought it out from the ice ages and prepared it for life again and then in seven days The earth was made in habitable once again and this time man is put on the planet So we believe in a very old Earth and Earth created in the beginning Who knows how long ago that was millions maybe billions of years ago and then a recent?
Destruction of that Earth maybe 65 million years ago and then rather recently seven or six thousand years ago That God then recreated or remade the earth for life during those seven days and you read about it in Genesis chapter 1. So that is not a description of the creation day by day. That’s a description of how the earth was reappointed for a new purpose with man being the one that was on the planet. I hope that helps and thank you so much that I call we now have Dan in holiday Florida.
Dan welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Good morning Dr. Lynch, good morning sir. My question is when did Christ start his ministry and approximately what age was he? Okay, easy to answer. Christ started his ministry when he was water baptized by John the Baptist. If you read Luke chapter 3, it tells us he was about 30 years of age when that took place. And that was absolutely in line with the Old Testament type. The priest in the Old Testament when he was thirty was then consecrated by a full baptism, a full immersion.
And so when Jesus came to John to be baptized, he said that he was fulfilling all righteousness. So apparently Christ was thirty, and now he began his earthly ministry, He was being consecrated for that service by this total immersion, this baptism, and John the Baptist was the baptizer. And so there you have when he began, and before that he had no ministry. He did no miracles. All of the ministry of Christ began from that point of form. Well, I appreciate that, Dr.
Hopefully he takes a phone this year, but I hope you have a blessing there. Thank you so much. And he might. Well, it might be something. We have Barbara in Riverview, Florida, and Barbara, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Hank. Good morning. I’d like to thank you for the program and you’re answering the many questions that many of us don’t have the answers to and I have one now. Do you think this current financial situation could possibly be a preliminary to the anti-Christ stepping up?
Or what do you think it can mean? Is there anything in the Bible that we could look to? Alright, I think absolutely it is and it provides a sense of stage for the Antichrist to come on as a Savior to solve the problems of this world. And it’s just amazing to watch this happen. You know, this is similar to other times in history when the Bible talked about some great event taking place. But here we have the whole world.
Look at the problems with incurable diseases. We have weather patterns changing and all kinds of floods and fires and other disasters. We just had this big hurricane that swept across the United States hitting Texas a week ago. And we have cyclones out in the Pacific in the West. in the west. We’ve had the tsunamis in the past few years. We have earthquakes and diverse places. We have famines developing in many parts of the world and wars and rumors of wars and the Middle East being the center of the focus today with all the problems there.
And now we have this worldwide financial collapse. It’s the beginning of the establishment, I believe. of a one world government and a one world religion and one world leader which will be the Antichrist. I think we’re getting very, very close and in Ezekiel it talks about that money would become worthless. that they begin to throw their monies in the streets because their gold and their silver wouldn’t help them anymore. Got a run that looks like the clock is telling us the first half hours about over.
Again, Bibleline is listeners supported. If you would like to help us, we could really use your help. And we’re closing out September and we could use your help to be able to make sure that all of our bills are paid for as we finish out September and God bless all of you who do give and do pray and if you’d like to give a gift you can call and offer to give it by credit card over the phone or call an answer on the phone and you can send me a gift here at Bibleline.
I hope you are saved. I hope you trusted the Lord. If the rapture were to happen you wouldn’t want to be left behind. That’s for sure. sure. We’re going to take a short break. We’re going to come right back and do a second half hour of Bibleline. And so I want you to see to right where you are and I’ll be right back. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We’re going to take a short break. I’ll be right back. So don’t go away.
Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. and the numbers are just a test with radioactive isotopes and x-rays and all of those kind of things. Anyway, I would like to let you know that we are playing a re-render day to test events, but we look forward to being right with you as soon as possible. And please pray for me and for final attendance or the family in the church.
That’s the Lord which I continue to provide. We still obviously need your prayers, and we need your support, and I need your personal prayers for my health that I can get back live and do with you again, live on the radio. So thank you for all your calls and notes as well. There’s an word of encouragement. We sure appreciate all of that. And we’re excited about the time which we’re living. Price is coming back. Although we missed it from this year, he’s still coming.
And he’ll be right on time. In terms of the program today, I’m not carrying concerns. We hope that you’ll have a great weekend. If you don’t have a church to attend, come see us. And if you’d like to watch the service on the internet, are you in the final line ministry dot org he took on the radio uh… by clicking on me being built to come to tv for television and take on the camera power worship services i’d like and have a wonderful weekend operator Operators, and you can also come by and see us if you’re in the area, but if you’re in another city, then check that out.
We also want you to know that we’re listeners supported, and we depend upon our listeners. There’s no other way that we pay our bills. We trust totally for God to raise up people who are like-minded, that want to see this message get out that Bible and proclaims, and they would help us financially. So if you do want to be one of our partners, that would be great because we do need your help to be able to do that. And obviously, this is a difficult time with our financial world collapsing around us.
We’re praying that Bible and will not be hurt by that. So you pray for us too, maybe you could give a gift to help us here as we close out September. We’re going to return the stations to the good on break and do the second half hour of Bible and so keep your radio tuned right where it is and here we go. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771.
That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lynch from All right, we’re back from that break and this is Bibleline and it’s wonderful to be with you. And we have people calling in from all over the country wanting to get up on the air with us and we’ll try to take as many of those as we can. We might try to catch a couple off air questions here as well. And some of you’ve been patiently waiting a long time I think for those to get answered.
And while we’re living in an amazing time, look at this financial unraveling here in our country. It’s not just America, it’s worldwide. And I think we are seeing the signs of the times of the Lord’s return. He’s coming, and whether he comes this year, next year, the year following, I don’t know. But we’re getting close and it wouldn’t surprise me if he showed up this year and took us believers out of here. Wouldn’t that be something? I’m ready. Next Tuesday and Wednesday are the two days celebration called the Feast of Trumpets.
That’s the most reasonable day according to Scriptures for the Lord to come and snatch us out. So you might be watching Tuesday and Wednesday and the Lord might catch us a lot and they’ll just meet you in the air and we’ll be by the line in heaven. Alright? And that’ll be a lot of fun. We’re going to go to Huntington, West Virginia and we have Henry on the air and Henry welcome to the Bible and you’re on the air.
I’ll thank you Dr. Hank for taking my call and ask the question and then get off the lesson for your comments. It’s not cremation. Is there any scriptures in the Bible anyway? The Bibleline was referring to where it was, against God’s preaching and all about it being pre-made it even for the believer or the unsaved. I kind of feel like with this formation, it was kind of like a thing that some of the healing of God not going to Bible Psalms and so forth.
I know it’s become very popular today. Others hang out, but if you’ve got some scriptures or something you can give me, and obviously… listening. Okay. The cremation will not affect your salvation whatsoever. When you die, you’re absent from the body, presyleth, and the body will return back to dust from which it came. In the Old Testament, there were times when those who cremated were making a statement. They were saying they didn’t believe in life after death. Whereas the Jewish people would bury the body as a testimony of the fact they believed in the resurrection.
And we find that even Joseph, remember when he was in Egypt, asked his brothers to promise that when they were delivered out of Egypt by the Lord that they would carry his bones out of Egypt and bury him in the Promised Land. And of course that’s exactly what happened hundreds of years later. The bones of Joseph were carried back to Israel and I’ve been there to where his body is buried and he’s buried in Israel. And you know, it’s interesting that most Jewish people when they have a general like to be buried on Israeli soil.
And the way they do that in America here is most every funeral home can supply, if they ask, for a little pillow that they put into the head of the deceased that’s filled with soil from Israel. So they actually are buried on Israeli soil even though they’re buried here in America. But there’s that connection to the resurrection and to the land of Israel. But in any case it wouldn’t matter either way. There are those that are cremated accidentally. They were caught in a fire or an explosion or a bomb and their bodies are destroyed and yet they’ll still get their resurrection bodies in heaven one day.wcsstore I personally want to be buried, but I think many people today because of the economics, it’s so expensive to perform a burial today that they’re obviously not able to afford it.
So I do a number of cremations all the time, but it does affect their salvation. If they were making a statement one way or another, then the negative statement of cremation would be no resurrection but I don’t think anyone is making that statement today. So Harry I don’t think it’s a problem and a lot of people are doing it because of the economics but as long as you get a preacher to preach your saved and you’re going to get a new body and you believe in the resurrection I think you are making the correct statement in your death without the bear itself being the way of a statement being made.
We’re now going to go to Johnny in Tampa, Florida, and Johnny, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Earth. Who’s Johnny? Hello Doctor. I have a question. First of all I’d like to thank the Lord for you and your ministry. I have a couple of questions. One concerning the water and the wine at the wedding feast. Did turn the water into wine? Absolutely. Okay, that was his first miracle. That was the first miracle and it happened right there at Kina in Galilee.
Okay. Thank you. I had a discussion with a friend of mine here today. Anybody and he did not turn water into wine. He just told him to drink the water, but I believe I had read that. It’s pretty clear. Yes, it is. I’m one of those people who wrote a letter that said this and this, that’s what it is. That’s right. Let you know if it’s not. And the second question is, I have 10 minutes to search every, you know, not every day, but I go there, you know, and teach them from your ministry and several other ministries.
So I have these monies that I think is I should speed it up between the ministries that’s ministry to me. So you know I have a certain mind that I sit aside for my weekly earnings, but then there’s my monthly earnings and I think I should, you know, I’m going to get a check. Sure. So I figure I should split this monthly check up between the other ones that I’m being ministered. I think that’s legitimate. Sure. Because it’s really where you’re being fed, where you’re being blessed.
And instead, you’re being blessed and God wants you to help those ministries to continue. Yes, sir. Well, that’s how to speak. I think God for your teacher. Then that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to speed it up because I think that I’m pretty sure that your teaching is biblical and spiritual. And that’s where I’m going to go. Okay. I’ll give you one more thing. Susan, do you have any talking books? The resource sheet that you can call and ask for to be sent to you.
Just call right after the show and we’ll be right out to you. We also have a lot of CDs which are my explaining scriptures, different books of the Bible. We have, for example, Romans, the Gospel of John, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, the Book of Jude, so many. And so you might want a lot of people use those to learn by and also with the facility in a class. So in a sense, they’re like talking books, but I’m the guy teaching.
And you might enjoy getting one of those series and try it out. I thought I would just do something about 10, 10, 10 teachings that you had put together. 40 teachings and they’re at least 10 hours each. So yeah, you if you get one of them you’ll have 10 to 12 hours of teaching on CD Okay, and it’s good always witness with what you’re saying Right, so I will call it an after the resource and all the things are on the resources.
Yes. They are, huh? Okay, all right. Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you, Johnny. We’re now gonna go to Joe in clear water and Joe welcome to Bible and you’re on the air Hi, Pastor Hank. God bless his word and you for sharing it with us as well as you do every day. I have one quick question. When we receive our resurrection bodies as believers, is it a literal physical body? Yes. Absolutely, it’ll be like the Lord’s body, you know when Christ came back He came back in a physical body in Luke 24 He told them to handle him and touch him for a spirit have not fresh and bones as you see me have So Christ came back in a little physical body.
He ate in that body he I was they touched him and they heard him and they saw him and In 1 John, John the Apostle says that we actually handled the very word of life. They got the touchy men, whole women, and embraced them after the resurrection, which is exciting. Well, again, that’s it. You’re very welcome. And look at Luke 24 and the examples of Christ’s body. And the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15 that we’ll get a resurrection body like Christ’s resurrection body.
So that tells us a lot. Thank you so much and we’re now gonna… In the meantime, the number is 1-800-576-3771. We have Rob in Sarasota, Florida, and he says, we’re in the New Testament because it’s say that a woman is not to teach or preach, and the answer is 1 Timothy chapter 2. So if you have your Bible there, you can write this passage down and look it up. But it says in Timothy, and I’m turning there in my Bible, I’m almost there, it says in 1 Timothy chapter 2, went right by it, and I’m going to come back down to it.
Hold on one second. And this is 1 Timothy chapter 2, it says in verse 11, let the women keep learning silence in all subjections. Then verse 12 says, I suffer not a woman to teach nor do you serve authority over the man but to be in silence. So the Bible is pretty clear that the woman is not to be a teacher or preacher, elder, or deacon in the Bible. And Raba Hope that helps answer your question. It’s first Timothy chapter 2 verses 10 through 15 in particular.
We have Sandy in St. Petersburg. And Sandy says, in Jeremiah 19, please clarify why it says here, Never Cross God’s Mind. And basically it’s an expression that God’s mind never went that direction and connection with that particular thought that’s being expressed there. So we get that similar expression that never crossed my mind. And a lot of these expressions come right out of the Bible that we use in society all the time. Like the handwriting is on the wall. It comes from Daniel and the Lord’s finger writing a message on the wall.
in the palace or in Babylon and so on. So these are the questions from the Bible. The apple of his eye, that’s a reference to Israel. And you see that in the Old Testament where God said those that touch Israel are touching the apple of God’s eye. Maria in Tampa, Florida calls in, leaves us off her question, if a child under the age of accountability can still trust Christ as their Savior and be saved. Well, that’s a good question.
It may not be that they would understand the gospel until they become of the age of accountability, but I think as parents or grandparents, we need to be aggressive and try to talk to them about the Lord long before they reach that age. planning seed and talking to him about the Lord. I know my daughter would be in the radio studio here with me many times when I was preaching or giving the Bible on programs and she was pregnant and I know the granddaughter was hearing Bible on before she was ever born while she was in the room.
So she got a lot of Bible on and of course I think has been quick to pick up on the trees and that’s probably part of it. We have Larry in in St. Petersburg and Larry welcome to Bibleline. Dr. Angelant, about the Trinity. What was a little confused on that is the God to Father, I mean they’re all three parts of the God is co-equal, is God the Father somehow? They’re coming in charge or something or I’m in a co-equally each one is equal equal Christ is God and the Holy Spirit is God and the Father is God and they’re all equal to one another.
Now each one has a different role that they play. And the father is obviously the plays the role of the father and is a decree maker oftentimes. Jesus Christ is the actual one who carries it out. Who actually came to the earth and took an human body and went to the cross. And the Holy Spirit of course is the one that affects it or brings it about all the miracles that Christ had were done by the power of the Holy Spirit.
But all three were acting together in concert in the creation of the earth in Genesis 1 1. In the beginning God, the word God there, is Elohim, which is plural and the Hebrew, which means all three members of the Godhead were involved. And in the creation of man, where God says in Genesis 1, 26, we have got us make man in our image after our likeness, all three involved in the creation of man. We’re also a triune being body soul and spirit just as God is a triune being All three yep, everyone of them were involved in the creation and and obviously Wherever you look you’ll see that?
The three work together and obviously all three were involved as I said a moment ago in the creation of the universe but also in the creation of man. Let us make man in our image after our likeness in Genesis 1.26. That was the whole of the Godhead that are involved in the creation of man. What about when Jesus says, you know, no one comes to the Father but by Jesus? Yeah, I always thought those things would apply to me that the Father somehow had the Supreme authority.
Who we’re talking about now, the fact that Jesus became also a man. So Jesus is not only God, but he’s also a man. And it’s through the man Jesus that we approach God the Father because there had to be a sinless man who would die and pay for our sins so that we could have entrance to heaven. And obviously Jesus is the only sinless man who could come and pay for our sins. At the same time being God he could bake a payment for the sins of the whole human race.
But there it’s talking about Jesus the man. And a lot of times in the scriptures will talk about the crucifixion and so on and focus on the fact that it was the man Jesus. For example, even in prayer in the first Timothy 2 5 says there is one God and one media between God, the man Christ Jesus. So the one who media between men and God is God the man, which is Jesus as a man. And so the Joel’s Witnesses understand the humanity of Christ, but they fail to recognize his theory.
He’s both. He’s not an man. Alright, thank you. Thank you. You’re sure welcome and thank you for that call. We now have Brad in Clearwater, Florida. And Brad, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on here. Good morning, Pastor Westtop. Good morning. I have a question for you. You had a caller about the question about women being pictures and pictures. and I just wanted to get your point on how you feel about the enemy and I’ll hang out and listen to your response by radio.
Okay, the main thought there in the First Timothy 12 is that they not usurped authority over the man. So in the church where there is male leadership and they are granted authority to teach children or teach a surgical class, then I believe that they are not out of line. Although I don’t believe that there should be a female teacher teaching a male group in the Church of adult men. I believe that we have a men teacher teaching that. But otherwise, as long as they don’t usurp the authority and be the leader over the men, they certainly can be given permission to speak and to give testimony to teacher class and so on.
So that’s certainly in line. We have Marilyn in Evansville, Indiana, who leaves this offer question. She says, how can we let our unbelieving friends and relatives know where we will be going at the rapture? I would like to warn them so they could have a chance to go also. Well, again, we would talk about that earlier about writing a testimony or maybe leaving a cassette tape or making a video explaining it and then leaving that video in a place where it would be found by those that would come looking for you and maybe find your important papers and put it with your important things and hopefully they would find it and play it.
And you would be able to explain to them where you’ve gone and why and how they need to trust the Lord of Savior. Great, great idea and surely should be done and I recommend it. So, Marilyn, go ahead and do it. Marilyn also says, will unbelievers hear the last Trump at the Rapture? And the answer is no, they will not. Only the believers will hear that from and will be caught up then of course to meet the Lord in the year.
The poem we’re hearing by blind is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. John in Grand Rapids, Michigan leaves this off-air question, If the time of the Gentiles is indeed 2000 years, would the 2000 years start at the birth of Christ or after the death of Christ or at Pentecost? Well, the time of the Gentiles is longer than 2000 years, but the age of the Gentile Church is about 2000. So that starts at Pentecost. The times of the Gentiles began with Nebuchadnezzar back in BC 606 and it actually runs right through the tribulation right up to the Second Coming.
And then there’s the fullness of the Gentiles mentioned in Romans 1125 where the church age is completed, the last person is added to the body of Christ and up we go and we meet the Lord in the year. We now have Dave in St. Petersburg and Dave welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. I just had to stand the column and I had a question. We had a caller about the financial mass area and he should probably read the Revelation 18.
That’ll kind of explain what’s going to happen and they’ll say, can we explain what that is? I think it’s something they make up again. The anointing, according to 1 John 2, is the Holy Spirit Himself, and receives that anointing. It tells us that in 1 John 2, that every believer has that anointing, which is the Holy Spirit that comes into the believer, and it tells us that we have the Holy Spirit in us, that the anointing is in us, and every believer has it.
The charismatic seem to want you to feel inferior, I think, and they say something like incontinence in terms, have you received the anointing and like you don’t have it, and wouldn’t you like to have it, and they know the secret is how to get it. Every believer has it, so it’s no big mystery, and if you read 1 John chapter 2, it mentions it several times and that every believer has the anointing which is God the Holy Spirit. Thank you Dave and we now have Matthew in Tampa and Matthew welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.
Yes sir, how are you doing this morning? I want a quick question in regards to the last job and listening to this morning and we have children that are eight. Well that’s a great question and one every parent is fighting to deal with I’m sure but You just have to trust that the Lord is going to do the right thing. And I would just pray for your children and whatever you can do this side of coming to know Christ to feed them with information, plant seed within them about Christ.
I would read scripture, play Christian music and provide the environment where they hear you talking about the Lord and all those things I think will prepare the way for them to come to know the Lord is their Savior. But we just have to trust the Lord. The rapture is obviously going to come boom and instantly and it’s going to catch the world by surprise and even though we’re looking I think a lot of us will be cut up by surprise as well.
So we’ll just be praying for you and your family and pray that the Lord is going to do the right thing for your children which I believe you will. Thank you sir. Alright and that was Matthew and Tampa. We have Millie in Miami, Florida. Millie, welcome to Bible Life. Hi, I have a question about the things that were crucified with Christ. The gospel of Luke is the only one that claims that one of the things repented and the other gospels don’t say that at all.
My question is why is there a difference between those? Well, one thief obviously in the last moment realized that Jesus was the Savior and believed on him. He said, do Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom. And Christ said, today, now she’ll be with the imperilize. Boy, that was great. Luke 23, 43. Look it up, Luke 23, 43. I got a run. We’re out of time. I’m Dr. Ancklister, and we have to go. But we’ll be back on Monday.
