We’re going to get into our Bible and we’re going to go ahead and take our cars and so if you have your Bible there get We are going to turn to Malachi in the Old Testament chapter 3. Malachi chapter 3, it says, Behold, I will send my messenger and he shall prepare the way before me, saith and the Lord whom he seek shall suddenly come to his temple even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in, behold he shall come.
What is interesting here is that this verse and many others tell us when Jesus returns at the second coming seven years after the rapture that he will come to a standing temple. That’s right. He will come to a standing temple. So a third temple has to be rebuilt. I just returned from Israel. I was there in February and we saw the preparations for the third temple. the implements for worship, the implements for sacrifice, the menorah, a big one piece of gold, candlesticks, seven branches, and you know the stones have been cut, and they’ve been cut in the ancient way of cutting the stones as they were for the first temple, and we’re living, we believe, close to when the Lord is going to come back.
If the rapture were to happen this year, everything is in place for that temple to go up in just a matter of days. The sacrificial system will be resumed at the Bible talks about. This is exciting. By the way, the man who has been cutting the stones, Gershan Solomon, has been here in the past and he’s planning to visit visit us in early September. We will be announcing that date. You will want to come hear this man. What is interesting is that you may be shaking hands and listening to the very man who has cut the stones for the third temple that Jesus will return to.
Gershan is an Orthodox Jew. He is not saved. He believes that Christ is coming for the first time, not the second time I’ve made it very plain to him that he’s not saved because he needs to believe Christ gave him the first time and died to pay for his sins. But we’re great friends. We get along real well. And in fact when I got ill a year or so ago and I went to the hospital, he called me from Jerusalem into my hospital room and wished me well and thought that was real sweet of him.
So he’s a friend and he is the man who is cutting the stones for the Third Temple. And we’re excited about that. So you might want to be listening for when he comes to town and maybe you’ll want to come here and actually hear him. If you cannot, we’ll be recording that and videotaping it and you’ll be able to get a video DVD or CD of the teachings of Gershon Solomon as he brings to the end of the day.
brings to us the latest information on the rebuilding of the third temple. Let me go back to Malachi 3.1. Here it talks about, behold I will send my messenger and he shall prepare the way before me, and the Lord whom he seek shall suddenly come to his temple. So when the Lord comes, he will come to his temple. That is seven years after the Rapture. And by the way, John the Apostle, when he was caught into the future It was told right down the things that he saw that occur in the tribulation period in the future he was told to measure the temple.
That tells us that when John was caught into the tribulation period after the rapture he actually saw the temple and the temple area and was told to measure it. Let me read that to you. In Revelation chapter 11 and verse 1 it says it was given to me as John the Apostle, a read like a God rod and the angel stood saying rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and them that worship therein. So you’ll notice here he’s told to rise and measure the temple.
So the temple will be rebuilt after the rapture. We believe the rapture occurs in Revelation 4 verse 1. After that the church is no longer mentioned in the book of Revelation. And then we have chapter 11, John measuring the temple and it talks here about people worshiping at that temple that’s not happening now and hasn’t happened for 2000 years because the temple of Christ time was destroyed in 8070. So a temple is going to be rebuilt. Now some people ask what about the fact that there are two Arab mosques on top of the temple mount?
Well apparently although they are an abomination Revelation 11-2 tells John not to measure the courtyard, which apparently will be trodden underfoot by gentiles right up until the second coming. So in other words, the Muslims will still have control of the Temple Mount area where their two mosques are, but a Jewish temple will be built to the north. I have stood exactly where the third temple will be rebuilt. It’s easy to discern where, because if you look at the eastern gate that’s walled up, where Christ will come through that gate to enter his temple, if you draw a straight line east and west, you’ll find that it takes you to an open area north of the two Arab mosques.
There’s one called the Eloxa, the southernmost mosque, and then there’s the Dome of the The rocket is at Gold Dome and that is further north, but the open area north of that is where the Third Temple will be rebuilt. And it’s interesting here in Ezekiel 42, it tells us that apparently it’ll coexist. It says in verse 20 of Ezekiel 42, he measured it by the four sides. It had a wall round about 500 reeds long and 500 reeds broad to make a separation between the sanctuary, that’s the third temple and the profane place.
So according to Ezekiel, apparently when the third temple is built, a wall will be built around the third temple to separate it from the profane areas, which is where the two mosques are. I believe that when Christ does return and comes to his temple suddenly, just as at the second coming, or rather at the second temple, at his first coming, he cleanses the temple, he will cleanse the whole temple mount area, and obviously the mosque will be destroyed, and Christ will beautify his temple, and according to the Bible it will become more glorious and more spectacular than the temple of Solomon, which was the greatest of all the three temples.
The third temple is on the way, no doubt about it. Daniel and many of the books of the Bible talks about three temples. There have been two so far, the Temple of Solomon, which was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar around 600 years before Christ, and the Jews were carried away captive into Iraq into Babylon. Then the second temple, rebuilt after the Babylonian captivity and refurbished by Herod and made beautiful was destroyed in 8070 by the Romans, and for the past 2000 years the Jewish people have not had a temple.
But the third temple, the preparations have all been made. The stones have been cut and we are anxiously awaiting when that will take place. I do not believe one stone will be laid until the rapture has happened. But the fact that all the preparations has been made, leads us to believe that we are very, very close. So there is nothing really to hinder the rapture taking us out and the temple being established may be the day or week after and all of a sudden the sacrificial system will be resumed.
And as we see in the book of Revelation John was caught into the future, into the tribulation period was told to measure that third temple and it talked about people worshiping at that I think we’re very, very close to the Lord’s return. And if you were to come this year, it’d probably be on September 30th, which is the Feast of Trumpets. As this present age began on a Jewish feast day, the Feast of Pentecost, I believe this age will be concluded by Jewish Feast, the Feast of Trumpets.
And this year, it happens to fall on September 30th. Now I’m not saying, please listen to this very carefully. I’m not saying the world is coming this year, but I’m saying he could. And if he does, September 30th is when we go. And then the third temple will be rebuilt. Blood sacrifices will be offered, and Christ will be back seven years later to cleanse the temple. He will come suddenly to his temple as we just read in Malachi chapter 3 verse 1.
We’re living in exciting times, and I’m telling you, I’ve never seen such excitement about that third temple as I have on my past two trips to Israel. This year and last year we saw the Jewish excitement about rebuilding the temple and the preparations that are being made. And we saw the enthusiasm of those in the temple instances. They showed the different implements for the temple and temple worship that have all been prepared. They’re just sitting there waiting to be used and of course they’ll be put in the service as soon as that third temple is built.
That’ll be right after the rapture. Anyway, Gershaun Solomon, he is as of right now, scheduled to visit with us in September. Would that be something to tell us about the third temple? And then just a few weeks later, we depart and meet the Lord in the air if He comes this year. Exciting stuff. And I hope that you’re keeping track of these things. We’re not going to go to our phone lines. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bibleline. Great to be with you.
And if you have any questions, you’re welcome to call and ask them. And the phone number is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. You’re welcome to call in. And again, if you’re living in the Tampa Bay area and you have elementary-aged children and maybe someone at the beginning of middle school, they’d be welcome to attend our free vacation Bible School Monday through Friday from 8 to noon all of next week. week and so you can bring them by and we’ll take good care of them and I hope you will.
1-800 is the phone number 576-3771 and we would love to have you call with your question and we’ll try to take a stab at answering that question. We have Jackie and Tampa, she has an off air question. She says where in the scripture does it tell us the age in years that if a man is to be 3 score in 10. Well, it’s Psalm 90 is the answer. Verse 10 of Psalm 90, Jackie, I hope you’ll write that down.
That is the answer to that question. We have Raymond in Ulysses, Pennsylvania, and he calls in with his offer question. He says, are the Old Testament saints resurrected at the rapture? And the answer is no. The Old Testament Saints are resurrected at the Second Coming, seven years after the Rapture. So I’m going to get my resurrection body at the Rapture and so will you if you’re a believer living right now. But those that are Old Testament Saints will have to wait seven more years to get their resurrection body.
So I’m going to have my resurrection body seven years ahead of Noah, seven years ahead of Isaiah or David or Jeremiah, or any of the other Old Testament heroes, I’m going to get my body early as the church age is special. As we’re caught up to meet the Lord in the ear, we get our resurrection bodies at the Rapture. But the Old Testament saints and the tribulation saints get their bodies at the end of the seven-year tribulation at the second coming of Christ.
We have Kurt in Madison, Indiana. He says here I acquired a used Scofield Bible and now I think it may be one of the ones to stay away from. It was one of the versions I should avoid. Why? Well, if you have the 1909 or 1917 editions, those are the pure ones. The ones after that have altered the notes and added new notes that are not by Dr. Scofield. And so those are the ones you want to avoid Kurt.
In Madison, Indiana, I hope you have got one of the old additions. That’s the only ones that we have in our Resource Center here because we know the difference. And the old Schofield is far superior to the new Schofield that is out there. It’s all a marketing thing. University, the rather Oxford Press, in order to carry the copyright and carry the market came out with a new skill field in order to carry it. And they’ve done a good job of that.
They’ve been pretty successful. But people are realizing that they’re getting down, getting a watered down version, and they don’t have that pure old skill field Bible that came out of 1909 or 1917. We have Jacqueline in Tampa, Florida. She calls in with this off-air question. She says in 1 Samuel, when Saul visits the Witch of Endor and asks for her to summon up Samuel the prophet. Do you believe that this was an actual spirit of Samuel or ruse of the devil?
No, this was real. Samuel actually came back. In fact, the witch never had seen anything like this take place before, and she screams bloody murder, and she knew that this was not anybody that had come to her, but it was King Saul, and he was wearing a disguise, you might remember, But Samuel really came up in full Saul. He was going to lose the battle to the Flistines the next day. And he did. And that he would die. And that he would join Samuel in Paradise, which is what happened.
We know, therefore, that Saul was a safe man. The poem I remember here, if you want to call in, is 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. And so now we’re going to go to another off air. We have John in Lansing, Michigan, and he says, why didn’t Pharaoh just kill or imprison Moses rather than deal with the threats of the plagues and so forth? Well, I don’t know the answer to that, but obviously God protected Moses and we find that Moses apparently or rather Pharaoh didn’t really feel that threatened up until the very end.
But we find that obviously God’s plan was worked out as he brought judgments against all the gods of Egypt. All those false gods were brought down by those ten plagues. And the true living God was exalted. The God of Moses, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of the Bible. All right, we have now a caller from Grand Rapids, Michigan. We have John calling in and he says, please comment on 1st John 1-9. What happens if we don’t confess our sins or die with unconfessed sins?
Well, the answer is it has to do with our fellowship. So our walk with the Lord as a believer is impacted by sin. We can get restored to fellowship by acknowledging our sins and confessing them to the Lord. So this is not a salvation verse and it has to do with the Christian life and obviously if you live in rebellion against the Lord and don’t acknowledge your sins then you’re asking for God to discipline you and I’m sure you can suffer loss of reward in heaven as well.
We are now to Lawrence in Tampa, Florida and Lawrence. Welcome to the Bible and program here on the air. Hi, this is Lawrence from Tampa. I’m curious about the scripture that Dr. Hank gave earlier about, that the tribulation, I mean the Old Testament saints would have to wait seven more years for the new bodies. And I was curious as to what scripture he’s basing it on. Well, if you read Revelation 20, the Revelation 20 tells about the resurrection of the Old Testament Saints and it’s at the Second Coming.
We’re going to be raptured up in we of the church age get our resurrection bodies at the rapture and Also in Revelation chapter 11, which is really taking us right to the end of the tribulation Period it tells us that when Christ comes back at his second coming He will take away the kingdoms of this world from Satan and they will become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ and he shall reign forever and ever.” And then it tells us that this is the time of the dead, that they should be judged and that they would be raised and rewarded in verse 18 of chapter 11.
So it’s at the end of the tribulation period, at the second coming when he takes away this world from Satan and takes over the planet, that the Old Testament saints and tribulation saints are raised. But we are a unique age. The church age is complete unto itself, and it began at Pentecost and we’ll end up in the rapture. And that group will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and receive our resurrection bodies at the rapture, but the Old Testament saints have to wait until the Old Testament is over.
You know, the tribulation period really is the last seven years of the dispensation of law. And as soon as the rapture happens, were back under law. The Jewish people are going to be God’s witnesses. They will be offering sacrifices again in a rebuilt temple under the law to Old Testament prophets. Moses and Elijah are coming back. They will be observing the Sabbath. They will be keeping the law and bringing the sacrifices according to the law. So when that last seven years of the Old Testament kicks off the clock, then God will resurrect the Old Testament, Jewish saints and other Saints of the Old Testament at the Second Coming.
My next question was, how do you feel about in the terrible that Jesus was telling about the old man and the beggar, when the rich man died, that he saw Father Abraham from a distance and asked Lazarus to go back and reward his five relatives. suggested that there is two compartments that the dead weight at. Those that are in the good side, those are in the bad side. How do you feel about that? Well, that’s… Well that’s for real.
That is not a parable. That was a real story. But now Paradise has been emptied out. No longer do the believers go to The Heart of the Earth to Paradise. Paradise has now been emptied out. You’ll read Ephesians 4. It says that Christ descended first into the lower parts of the earth. And He led captive this group up to heaven and gave gifts unto men. So we know that when Christ died, He went into the heart of the earth.
He said in Matthew 12.40. He’d be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. He told the dying thief in Luke 23.43. Today that’s what we would be willing to do. be impaired. So, Paradise wasn’t at heart of the earth. That’s where Abraham was in all the Old Testament saints who were the beggar Lazarus went. And so on the third day when Christ rose, he emptied the place out. Now we go absent from the body, present with the Lord no longer to the heart of the earth.
But the unsaved are still there in the heart of the earth. That rich man is still there. And all the unsaved continue to go there. And they will remain there until after the Millennial Kingdom of Christ. And then the Bible says that Hades will empty out all the dead which are in it and they will be judged according to their works and be assigned to the degree of punishment and casting the help. Very good. We now have to go to break.
It is hard to believe the time goes by so quickly, but we are going to do a second half hour of Bibleline in just a moment. By the way, Bibleline could use your help. And now here is America’s number one syndicated columnist, Cal Thomas. Some American Christians think a persecution is named calling or a critical newspaper editorial, but Christians in other parts of the world understand the meaning of persecution they live at every day.
In India, the persecution of Christians by Hindus is spreading. New York Times reported Monday, the family of Solomon de Gaulle was summoned by neighbors to what serves as a public square in front of the village t-shop, in the town of Bora Panga. They were ordered to get on their knees and bow before the portrait of a Hindu preacher. They were told to turn over their Bibles, hymnals, and the two brightly colored calendar images of Christ that hung on their wall.
Then Mr. Dilgal, 45, a Christian since childhood, was forced to watch his Hindu neighbors set fire to the items. The story is unclear as to whether they renounce Jesus, but the persecution of Christians throughout especially poor parts of India is increasing and intensifying. We have the privilege of praying for our persecuted brothers and sisters and realizing with Paul that some are counted worthy to suffer for the name. In Boston, I’m Cal Thomas. to work questions. The second one is more disturbing. The first one is, I hear a lot of talk about this December 21st, 2012, where the Mayan calendars cut off on that date and also the Chinese and some American Indian tribes. And I’m wondering if this is maybe another the Y2K type of scare to sell books and videos. And does the Jewish calendar cut off on that date or does it keep going? Does the church age cut off on that date or does it keep going?
No, it’s just the mind calendar and I don’t know what to make it that except maybe they just ran out of gas. I don’t know what to tell you. Yeah, they put the Chinese, the history channel And some of the various ministries were coming up with that date December 21, 2012. Yeah, I wouldn’t put a whole stock in that, but definitely Jesus is coming. And it seems like the whole world is aware that we’re coming to a time of change.
And obviously we believe Christ is coming and He’ll bring a thousand-year kingdom, a millennium of peace on earth. good will toward men as he rules the earth from Jerusalem. It’s going to be a wonderful age where they’ll learn war no more. There’ll be no wars to armies and everybody will be at peace. It’s going to be a marvelous age. I’m excited about the future for our planet and for eternity for the believer. We’ve got it made. I can’t wait.
Now, are you aware of what the UN is doing? Do you listen to J. Sekulow I don’t get a chance to do that but what’s happening with the UN? The UN and this International Islamic Group representing all the countries, they’re going to be meeting in there in September and they’re going to try to pass this law that it’s a hate crime if you say anything about Islam or if you try to preach to them Christianity and any comments related to that religion to that religion it’s going to be protected similar to the way the gays want to be protected about having comments.
And they also want to have Sharia law in this country where women can be killed based on a ruma, you know, that they dated somebody or they did something. You know, there’s no fair justice, you know, like we have, we can go to court. It allows a family relative or the father to kill his own daughter. and a few of these have happened in the States already. This is a big problem and Jay Sekulow is going to fight this thing and there is a petition available and I don’t know how one man can fight this big group.
I think the UN needs to be booted out of this country, that whole organization and just turn that building into condominiums. That’s the end of my comment. I’d just want to know if you were aware. I was unaware of that, but obviously we’re living in times where Satan is really trying to get his grip on the whole world and obviously prevent us from witnessing and sharing the gospel and winning people to Christ. And one way is to make it unlawful for us to evangelize.
And that’s amazing because this country was founded on being able to be free to proclaim the gospel, the constitutions of the original thirteen colonies all stated that they wanted to found themselves so that they would have the freedom to preach the gospel in this wonderful country. And obviously we’re really seeing Satan finally try to close the door on that and that’s unfortunate. Denise, thank you for calling in from Clear Water, Florida. We have Walter in Lakeland, Florida. Walter, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.
Good morning, Dr. How are you doing? Good. Great. I have a question. I was reading the book of that for this last night, chapter 1, 24, when Moses, according to the United Version, says Moses was being sent back to Egypt by the Lord. But in verse 24, is that something really weird that I’m not sure what happened? And I’ve heard all sorts of different explanations as to a particular verse, but it doesn’t seem to coincide with the entire passage.
says an enlarging place on the way the Lord Moses and was about to kill him. But the Bible doesn’t specify exactly what happened there. Did Moses commit some kind of sin that the Lord needs to take him out? Did he forget to do something like the circumcision? I’m just not very clear about that. What had happened there is that Zapora, his wife, didn’t allow for their sons to be circumcised and God was very upset with Moses because of that and was going to kill him.
Zepora knew what the problem was immediately because she was the one that was the guilty party. So she took a sharp stone and circumcised their sons and threw the force game at Moses’s feet and said, you’re a bloody husband to me. And that’s about the last we read about Zepora. I think Moses sent her back to her father. But she was not a spiritual woman, She did not want those children to be circumcised and before God could use Moses, that was one thing he should have done and did not do.
And he almost got killed for it. Okay. Okay. That’s as many as I think it is. Yes. Is there a particular religion or cultic activity that she belonged to there? That doesn’t tell us, but I think the very fact that she did not want to circumcise the children, she obviously did not believe as Moses did, and so that was a big problem there. And here was a woman taking spiritual charge of her family and that’s obviously what happens sometimes where the man has to be the spiritual head and unfortunately a lot of men are not taking that leadership, but may not have been the leaders and and take charge for the family spiritually and here the woman took charge and she got the whole family in jeopardy because of that.
So it’s a possibility that this actually refers to a position of leadership within the family then. That’s also a part of it, yes. And this woman, she decided to how that house was going to be run and she wore the pants, believe it or not, with Moses and she said we’re not going to circumcise our children. Moses should have stood up and done it, but he didn’t. Obviously, she did circumcise them there, and Moses’ life was spared. But she was a very bitter woman and not happy about at all the belief system that Moses was involved with.
That makes sense. Okay, cool. You’re welcome, Mt. Walter. All right, thank you, Beth. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. That was Walter. He is in Lakeland, Florida. We now have Tony in Tampa, Florida. Tony, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Earth. Thank you. Good morning, Dr. Mention. Earlier. Apparently so that the Bible is quite specific in many places in the Old Testament as well, that in the heart of the earth there was this place called the bottomless pit. And obviously if you’re in the heart of the earth, if you dig in any direction, you’re going to be digging up.
So it has no bottom. And that is the place where there was a place for the believers and the unbelievers to go. The Old Testament believers had to wait until sin was paid for before they could actually enter heaven. in their heaven. And so they waited there in Paradise. David talked about God not leaving him there in the Old Testament word with Shio, S-H-E-O-L equivalent word of the same place called Hades in the New Testament Greek. But we have Luke 16 that shows clearly the two places and it was separated by an impassable gulf.
And obviously Christ said he was going to go there. He’d be three days and three nights at the heart of the earth, man, he told forty, and also the paradise obviously was there. As he told the dying thief today, you’re going to be with me in paradise. But Ephesians 4 is one of the exciting passages where it tells us that Christ led this group captive out of the heart of the earth, which is the believers of the Old Testament that were waiting for their sins to be paid for during the three days Christ proclaimed liberty to them and then he took them up on high and it says quite clearly in Ephesus 4-9 what is it but then he first he said into the lower parts of the earth before he ascended up far above all heavens and when he ascended up he took Paradise now to heaven itself
in 2 Corinthians 12 it tells us Paradise is now in heaven itself we are God is so the Old Testament saints are now with the Lord in heaven and this side of the cross we don’t go to Hades anymore. When Christ announced the Church in Matthew 16, he said the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. What he meant was that the believers of the church age would not go through the gates of Hades before they could actually exit out of there and go to heaven.
Because on this side we go straight to be with the Lord, but in the Old Testament you would go to Hades to the Paradise part as a believer, and then you would be released as the old husband states were when christ himself went down there and open the gates and took about but uh… now we don’t have to go there we go straight to heaven because our sins already paid for christ has already come right now i i understand that that that that i was always thinking maybe it was a was a metaphor or I was led to believe that maybe, or it was just my imagination, it was a spiritual place.
When you thought you went elsewhere that paradise place is actually a spiritual realm, not in physical earth. But that explains it. I have one more. I actually is a comment and I think we are definitely in the last days and looking at how people are changing the truth of the doctrine, not to bash on them. The whole… The homosexual movement is really coming full force. We were watching a program last night, last comic standing, and there were two gentlemen that go by the name God, God’s Pottery.
That’s their character name. And it was just something about their disposition. I said, these guys look like they’re on that side of the fence, but when they were voted off, one of them pulled about some kind of long string. He’s a young, stringy, rainbow confetti, something out of his pocket and we know that that rainbow indicates homosexuality. And these two guys, Jason and DeMarco, who are singers in churches and they’re thinking about the gospel and things that they turn it openly gay.
And they’re people, you know, they have churches that are actually walking them in their congregation to allow them to sing on the stages. And it breaks It breaks my heart to see that there are people who really don’t know what the Scripture says. I had a gentleman who emailed me in correspondence through the YouTube because I left a comment on there. I have to tell you, the Scripture that you give all the time is just phenomenal. Leviticus and Timothy and Romans, because he said, well, God never threw his pop of his spoke or in the subject and Jesus never did and so on, but I gave him verse after verse.
hopefully that will penetrate his heart but after fake we have to be careful because statements very subtle amen is your is while thank you tony you’re welcome sir appreciate that call with a lot of then it’s in the brandon florida and uh… then it’s welcome to battle on you’re on the air hi uh… friend of mine and i have a little disagreement about election and so we want me to call you to you how you would explain it and guide process of our salvation so where what determines when God makes the call the hell one person would choose and one person would would not choose to follow God well it’s up to us and in John’s gospel chapter five Jesus said the word of God can be heard and and received and believed on by an unsaved person.
So the dead can hear and can believe. John 5.25 you ought to write it down. When the dead that spiritually dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they hear that they believe it shall live. When I bring the gospel to somebody they might be lost and spiritually dead, but the Word is living in powerful and sharper than any few and it can bring life to that dead soul. That person can respond to that message, and when they hear the truth of Christ’s words from the Bible, it brings life, and if they believe that message, they receive it, they live.
I’m with you on that. What I’m struggling with is, if I had one person choose and one person reject, it seems like it would be some kind of a human personality trait or something versus any other reason why I believe in life. Well, I believe it was, why did I choose to receiveintendovernmentillance?pite privile Canad why did I choose to receive and like someone else choose to not receive what in me did it? Well, I think sometimes it is a pride that prevents somebody from believing you know the Bible talks about those who seek after god the wicked through the pride of their heart will not seek after God.
So sometimes man thinks that he is God or he is not in need of a creator, not in need of salvation. And so he doesn’t look or he doesn’t seek and therefore he’s going to wind up going through life without ever responding to the gospel as it comes to him. But God is convicting every man of his deed. The Holy Spirit convex the world, everyone, of the fact that He is the sinner, of the fact that He is the coming judgment, and of the fact that they need to have God’s righteousness in their heaven.
John 3.16 is clear that God so loved the world, that’s the whole human race. 1 John 2.2 tells us Christ died for everybody. It says He is the propitiation or satisfying sacrifice for our sins, but then it goes on to say, and not for our sins only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Christ died for everybody and in the second peter three nine which I really love it says God is not willing that any should perish right but it come to repair he wants everybody to become saved I Struggle with that one a little bit.
I haven’t been able to start that out yet But still I don’t I’m not I just don’t understand it seems like pride or any other region one person had more Seems like that is all stuff all traits that are developed through our upbringing our environment our circumstances since it were totally depraved prior to conversion. I just never be able to sort that out. There was nothing in me that received Christ, no nothing of any merit. It was because of what Christ did for me.
And I just received it. And I just never ever felt why I would receive it in one person. Another person wouldn’t unless it was a sovereign act of God. Well, I don’t believe that God overruled your heart and made the choice for you. But I do believe that obviously you must have been seeking and wanting to know the truth. And the Bible says that if Swordsman 2913, you will find me when you search me with all your heart. So a person who truly wants to know the truth is going to get the truth.
And a person who doesn’t want to know the truth will not. In fact, the Bible even talks about truths being hidden from those who are prideful in their own wisdom. are obviously not wanting to know the living God. In fact, parables are spoken to concealed truth, not revealed truth. And so they become a summing bot for those that are religious but lost, and they make the parables to be whatever they want them to be. And oftentimes their interpretations run amuck and far from what the Bible teaches.
You have to interpret the parables in the light of other scripture and they have to harmonize or you have a wrong interpretation. but uh… i believe that uh… the individual it’s up to them to make that choice and some obviously are foolish you know just like it says about the one doesn’t even recognize that there is a gun and i thought that is a fool right right well that appreciate it very much hard as thank you so much and we now have bill in pinellas county and bill welcome to bible and you’re on the air Hi Dr.
Hank, I just have an in response. That’s a good question or why does somebody like strawberry ice cream and other people like chocolate ice cream? That’s exactly right. Yes, sir. We do have a free-willed choice and when God gave us that choice obviously he knew there would be those who would not make the choice to trust Christ. Yes, sir. Good point. All right. Thanks, Dr. Hank. Thank you Bill and Pinellas County. Excellent. Alright, if you want to call in you got a couple of minutes to do that.
1-800-576-3771. We now have Linda in Spring Hill, Florida, and Linda, welcome to the Bible, and you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Hank. I just wanted to make a comment. It’s kind of a question that’s regarding, you know, looking at the pagan version of the calendar, and I was exploring 2012 and looking at the Jewish calendar. And the lady that called a few calls ago, I was thinking of this website that I looked at and it’s called Prophecy in the News.
And there they interviewed that pastor that did the research on the blood moon. Okay. And he looked at it. He teaches, he’s a Christian pastor and teaches his congregation to understand the Jewish feast and the Jewish ways that relate to how it relates to us. Anyway, it’s a wonderful interview and if they go to that website, they can look at his part one and part two and he will walk them through the Jewish calendar pertaining to the solar eclipses and the lunar eclipse, which is that blood moon.
And when you look at that, it kind of looks at it from a different perspective. It’s not some like some bizarre, strange phenomena happening, but just these patterns, and it’s incredible because they happen each time, like when Joshua, it goes all the way back from NASA on. on it shows like when Joshua took them over to spy on the land and they rejected it and it was a curse and then I think we lost that call. Oh, okay. That’s Linda’s phone that died out of something.
Anyway, thank you Linda for that information. Okay, we are going to take a couple more off here is what we have the chance here. Richard in Venice, Florida says, what type of work will we be doing in heaven? Will our abilities and gifts be limited or not? Well, Richard, we apparently will serve the Lord day and night, and apparently it will be pleasurable and satisfying, and we’ll look forward to it. Revelation 7 gives us a hint there, and so you won’t be sitting around bored to death with nothing to do, but it does say in Revelation chapter 7 it says here, let’s see here in verse 15, therefore are they before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple.
And he that sit upon the throne shall dwell among them. So here we are going to be right with the Lord and serving Him day and night. It ought to be incredible. It ought to be wonderful and thank you for your question. Let’s see here. Dick in Northport, Florida says, are there degrees or levels in heaven and hell? Well, there are degrees of punishment in hell, but there are degrees of reward in heaven. Everybody in heaven, of course, live in the New Jerusalem and will all be on the same street since there is only one street in heaven.
We will all have access to the Lord, but some will have a greater capacity I think to serve the Lord and there will definitely be rewards in heaven. So believers will be rewarded according to their works. Unbelievers will be judged at a sign of degree of punishment according to their works in the In the everlasting lake of fire. Dick, I hope that helps a little bit. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bibleline and we’re coming to the close of our Friday program.
