God bless you. Well, good morning and welcome to Bibleline Creek to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day Monday through Friday. And we thank you for tuning into the broadcast today. Our website is Bibleline Ministries dot O R G. You can also catch our worship services and click on the camera for that. You can click on our TV set and you’ll get our TV programs. This is Friday.

If you don’t have a church to worship at this, you can join our worship service on the internet by going to BibleLineMinistries.org. Click on the camera at about 11 o’clock Eastern Standard Time. And as soon as the message actually begins, the audio and the video will come up and you’ll be able to watch the service live. But if not, you can go and watch a years worth of sermons that are sitting there in archive. But of course on the internet, you can listen to us anywhere in the world at any time of day or night.

That’s the nice advantage of having the internet. That’s BibleLineMinistries.org. By the way, we’re gonna be doing a baptism on the third Sunday in August. If you have not been water baptized, since you have been saved, I would be honored to be able to baptize you. And so many tell us that they have a church where they don’t baptize at all or they don’t baptize by immersion. And if that be the case, if you’re in the area and you could be here on a third Sunday, that’ll be at three o’clock in the afternoon and will baptize you in a lake not too far from Bible and headquarters.

So call us and get on the list and we’ll be expecting you and that’ll be great. That’s the third Sunday in August. And if you have not been baptized since you have been saved, then you need to be, because baptism before your salvation experience doesn’t count. According to the Bible, baptism is a testimony of your faith in Jesus Christ as your only means of salvation and the water is merely symbolic. It pictures how we’re cleansed of our sin by the blood of Jesus Christ.

will not wash away your sin. So think about that, you’re welcome to do that and of course on our third Sunday we also have a dinner. You can make it a day and enjoy the worship service in the morning, stay for the lunch dinner and go with us to the baptism and we’ll be glad to include you in that baptism. You’re welcome to come by any time of day or night if you like and of course you won’t find us at night but you can come by during the day and visit our Resource Center and that’s open till about 4.30 every afternoon.

And that’s Monday through Friday. And if you want to visit our Resource Center online, you can go again to BibleLineMinistries.org and click on the Resource Center or the online bookstore and you’ll have everything there that we have here in our actual resource center available to you can order online and we hope that you’ll take advantage. We’ve got some wonderful books in our resource center one of them well we have three different Bible dictionaries we have the Erdmann’s Bible dictionary that one is the least expensive a paperback the very thick and very full for fifteen dollars we have the Zlondervin picked A pictorial Bible dictionary which is going for $25.

I think that’s a pretty heavy reduction on the price of that. And then my favorite is Unger’s new Bible dictionary and that one is really nicely printed. The heavy paper, National Geographic Quality Pictures and great content and that one retails for $40 in our resource center. We hope that you’ll take a look at all the different things that we have in the way of concordances and dictionaries, and of course the Scofield Bible, and of course many of our teachings.

I would recommend right now second Peter. We did first Peter and second Peter, both are great, and both have to do with the times of which we’re living. I believe we’re getting close to the Lord’s return, and it really tells the believer neighb in these last days in which we’re living right now so you can expect the christianity will come into attack you can expect that the great doctrines of the bible will be under assault and second peter warns us two thousand years ago of exactly what we see happening today and uh…

equipped you to be able to to withstand that You might call now. It’s 10 hours of teaching on CD, also available on DVD. You can get first Peter, which is 10 hours. And in second Peter, also 10 hours. That was a great couple of books that we did, verse by verse. And I think you’ll enjoy them. We have a 40 other series. So there’s lots there available to you. And you might want to take a look at a resource sheet.

Colin will mail one out to you for you charge. And you can take a look at all the things that we have available in our Resource Center. We are going to talk about the Bible for a few minutes and then take our callers. We’ve already got people calling in and getting lined up to go on the air live with us. If you have a question, you can tell us at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. And we invite you to give us a call.

talk a little bit about the difference between becoming saved and then secondly becoming a disciple. These are separate. They’re not the same thing. But what happens often in a lot of churches is they mix the two together and don’t separate them and therefore you are become obligated by the invitation given to do things that are required of a disciple, not required of salvation. And obviously this adds works to salvation and causes the potential of a person not being saved at all because they are trusting in their works.

Let me read a great quote. This is from Dr. M. Ardahan, founder of the Radio Bible class and he of course now is in heaven. But this was in his book on Hebrews published by Zanderin press, and here’s what he says. There is a vast difference between coming to Jesus for salvation and coming after Jesus for service. Coming to Christ makes one a believer while coming after Christ makes one a disciple. All believers are not disciples. To become a believer one accepts the invitation of the gospel.

To be a disciple, one obeys the challenge to a life of dedicated service and separation. Salvation comes through the sacrifice of Christ. The discipleship comes only by sacrifice of self and surrender to his call for devoted service. Salvation is free, but discipleship involves paying the price of a separated walk. Salvation cannot be lost because it depends upon God’s faithfulness, but discipleship can be lost because it depends upon our faithfulness. Well, that is an incredible condensation of this whole topic and how important it is to recognize the difference.

Salvation is what God has done for us through Christ and His death and shed blood. Discipleship is our response where we choose after we become saved to serve the Lord and live for Him. We find that salvation is free. It’s a gift. not by works, and we don’t contribute or do anything to receive salvation. But discipleship involves us paying a price, and it costs us everything. We have to be willing to do whatever the Lord wants us to do, and go wherever the Lord wants us to go.

But if you mix the two together, then obviously you’re not rightly dividing the word of truth. You must be able to separate between different doctrines and not mix them together. A lot of confusion in Christianity is created because people don’t carefully separate and divide the Scriptures rightly dividing them, separating the truths into the right order. We find that salvation, of course, is by mercy, by grace. It says in Ephesians, 4 by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast or brag.

Now that is obviously the absence of works because God in the Bible defines grace as the absence of any human work. It says in Romans 11, 6, and if by grace then it is no more of works. Otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace. Otherwise work is no more work. I’m not splitting hairs. We are talking about the difference between being saved or not saved. The difference between salvation, which is what God offers, which is by grace.

And then the Christian life or discipleship, which is all about works. It will bring about rewards in heaven and blessings here and now if we live for Christ. Well this incredible verse in Romans 11, 6 says, If by grace, then it is no more of works. Otherwise by definition grace is not grace, but if it be of works, then it is no more grace. Otherwise work is no more work. What it’s saying here is if you added any works to grace.

You would nullify grace and you would have no grace at all. Let me just quote the second half of that verse in Romans 11, 6. If it be of works, then it is no more of grace. Isn’t that amazing? That means if you are attempting to be saved by any work that you will have no grace, no mercy from God, and that would mean that you would not be able to enter heaven. just say you’re trusting in Christ, but you also are trusting in water baptism to get you to heaven.

My friend, you’ll not be saved. You’ll not be saved. Because if it be of works which water baptism is a work, then you’ll not have any grace. You will absolutely not make heaven at all. Let’s say that you trust Christ as your savior, but you also say that you have to live the Christian life. That’s works. So if you add any works to grace, you no longer have grace and you’ll stand before God having no mercy. God will not let you into heaven.

You’ll not be saved. Let’s say that you believe on Christ as your Savior, but believe you have to publicly confess Christ in addition to be saved. My friend, you’ll not be saved because that’s a work and the Bible says if you add any works to grace you will have no grace and I can go on and on and basically the formula is Christ plus anything equals nothing. If you are trusting in anything in addition to faith in Christ you’re not really trusting Christ.

Let me just give you my little illustration of the boat tied to the dock. If you’re on the dock and you put one foot on the boat, are you trusting the boat to hold you up? And the answer is no. You still have one foot on the dock. Let’s say that you put both feet on the boat and yet both hands are on the dock. You’re still not trusting the little boat because you’re still holding on to the dock.

Let’s say you put both feet on the little boat and you just have one hand on the dock. Well, obviously, you’re still not trusting the boat. Because you’re still holding on to the dock. Let’s say that you have both feet on the boat, and then you have your hands on a rope that’s tied to the dock. You’re still not trusting the boat, because you’re still attached to the dock. Until you cut all ties to the dock, and you’re not putting any weight or support or make any connection to the dock, until you’re totally reliant on the boat itself to hold you up.

You’re not trusting that boat. the same way as true of Christianity and of salvation. As long as you’re trusting in any other thing, as long as you’re connected to some kind of human work, some kind of effort on your part to save you, in addition to faith in Christ, you’ll not be saved. Let me quote that verse again. It says in Romans 11, 6, if by grace, then it’s no more of works. Otherwise, grace is no more grace. They’re opposite.

But if it be of works than is no more of grace, otherwise work is no more work. Peter the Apostle says in Acts 1511, a favorite verse of mine, he says, but we believe that through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, we shall be saved. What a great verse. And that’s Peter talking. The Apostle Peter says, we believe that through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, we shall be saved. discipleship on the other hand is a second decision that a believer makes after they become saved.

I became saved at 18, but it wasn’t until about a year later that I became a disciple. It was not until a year after I became saved that I chose to live for Christ and serve Him. If I had never made that second decision, I would still be saved, but I would lose out on the joy, the thrill of seeing God work in my life. I would lose out on the rewards that I could have earned in heaven for eternity, and I’ll be standing before the Lord one day and giving account and be ashamed and have regret and sorrow and shed tears over the fact that I had not lived for Christ.

But I would still be saved because I’m saved by grace which is the total absence of any works according to Romans 11-6. You cannot mix grace and works. They are opposite. And if you add any works to grace, you’ll no longer have grace. It’s scary because there are many people I believe that are not saved because they’re trusting in Jesus with one foot and then they’re trusting in their works with the other foot. and they’ve never really placed their total weight on Christ as the only means of their salvation.

And as a result, my friend, they’ll not be saved according to the Bible. You must trust Christ alone apart from works. Let me give you a great verse. In Romans 3, 28 it says, therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Let Ephesians 2 8 by grace are you saved through faith and then notice the exclusion and that not of yourselves. It’s the gift of God, the exclusion again, not of works.

List that you mentioned, boast or brag. You always find the Bible presents salvation is a gift that excludes any works or contribution on our part but to simply trust Christ as Savior. I’m Dr. Ang Klinstram. We’re going to go to the phone lines and you’re welcome to call us at 1-800-576-3771. We have Mark in Tampa and Mark, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. 5-7. Mark? Yes. You’re on the air. Okay, thank you very much. Listen, I’ve been listening to you thinking about, I got to say it by you about three, don’t mean anything, mentally, I’m not going to say any Okay?

And all three of them like we always have a little grace before we eat. And they believe. Okay? And the nays is we have these people believe, and then I work with some guys on the site that are engineers and things like that. Nays is me how God says like, you got to be like a child. And these people are more like children, but I don’t know to be a child and be saved and think I’m really smart and not be saved.

So I think it has to be with faith. Why not have to be with faith? And you just have to be lucky that the whole thing, and you do a great job. I’m talking about this because there’s so many people out there that look at their works. Well amen and thank you Mark and you know God can make it so clear to a child but sometimes people who are more prideful in their intellect have so many cobwebs in their head I don’t think they can comprehend that it’s just a free gift with those strings attached.

I like this one guy made a comment. Well, this guy can’t read the Bible guy. Well, yeah, I can’t read but I Believe I mean it’s not his fault. He can’t read he’s just got that smart Sure, but I mean here’s a guy that can’t read the Bible doesn’t really comprehend it per se But he’s saying that he trusts Jesus. I just want to say it makes me proud that people like to add it Amen God bless your mark and thank you for calling in and how true the Bible is to present that very case that you just made.

We’re going to go to Norma and Norma is in Woodridge, New York and Norma. Welcome to Bibleline. Good morning, Dr. O’odham. Good morning. I have a loved one ask me a question and I was also perplexed by it and I know you can answer it. Okay, the question was that if all marriages are meant to be of God. And the devil can disguise himself as the light. If they are marriages by the devil under disguise, are these marriages also meant to be or are they set up for failure?

Well, I think some people marry for the wrong reasons and it’s probably not the one that God had intended for them. But once you get married, according to the Bible, you’re committed. a lifelong commitment and you need to work to make it happen. And unfortunately today marriages are falling apart at a great rate. And part of the reason why is I think that they don’t enter it with the mindset that is going to be for lifetime. And because they’re not apparently considering that God had instituted marriage, and this is what He said about what it should be.

And so marriage takes two, and it has to be a lifelong commitment on the part of both people, and you have to work at it to keep it going. And it’s not something that just automatically happens. And so today we have people entering in and they do less investigation and research and thought and so on about who they’re going to marry than they would if they bought a car. If they bought a car they might go to about ten different car lots.

They might try different cars. They might read a literature upon them. They might test drive them and they might figure out how much is going to cost them and how they’re going to pay for it and work out a payment plan and all these kind of things. And yet they don’t even give it much thought at all sometimes when they enter into a marriage. And obviously they haven’t given it much thought and the marriages fail I think because there was really not much planning, much thought involved and they haven’t realized, wow, this person, do I want to live with them for the rest of my life?

And to make that choice is what makes the difference I think. Okay, so it’s not that the devil, it’s not a marriage by the devil in disguise. It’s just the negative choice, that and in the big old man. I think so. I think people just make bad choices. But God can turn it around. So, you know, if you read 1 Corinthians 7, they’re in Corinth. A lot of people were getting saved. But the partner was unsaved. They were both unsaved when they got married.

And the Bible talks about how they need to try to win that partner to Christ and obviously make that marriage work. And so it doesn’t just say, okay, you guys weren’t saved and I want to get saved so you can just divorce them and move on. It’s really saying that you need to get that partner saved, get those kids of your saved, and make the marriage work. Okay, thank you very much. Well, you’re very welcome. Thank you for calling in from Woodridge, New York.

We have Carol in Lakeland, Florida and Carol, welcome to Bibleline Year on the Year. Thank you so much. I have a question about the Chinese persecuted church and I’ve read a book called The Heavenly Man and wondered if you have any information on that particular book and Brother Young who wrote that book. I haven’t read the book and I haven’t heard of him, but I do know that there are millions of Christians in China. And it’s quite a remarkable thing to think about it.

And of course they They… A persecuted church, obviously, they have to work underground. IOTOS know of a number of people that have gone over to China from here that sneak Bibles in and teach English to the Chinese or teach other things. actually they take advantage of them and tell them about Jesus and it’s wonderful to see God working in every place in the world and people getting saved over there. But I’m not familiar with that book but I know that those people if discovered are risking a lot and then of course they are obviously very committed Christians in the sense that they’re willing to suffer and die for their faith because that can happen.

if you’re exposed as a Christian in that society. Dr. Lindstor, I just finished the book last night and this is indeed the case with this Chinese man by the name of Brother Yun. He is now ministering to people all over the world and telling them what’s going on in China. He and his family are very involved with a project called I think Road to Jerusalem. Wow. Well, I thank you for sharing that with me. We’re going to have to go to break here, Carol.

But we need to pray for these kind of Christians that are suffering and being persecuted around the world. We’re going to take a break. We’ll come back into a second half hour of Bibleline. And I hope that you will join us for that. If you can help Bibleline, we do need your prayers. And we do need your support. You could call and give a gift by credit card today. That would really help us out in these summer months. And we’re going to take a break right now.

We’ll come back and do a second half hour of Bibleline. So don’t go away. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, I’m Dr. Anker, and it’s wonderful to be with you. I thank you for listening today, wherever you might be. And I hope you’ll pass the word along to your friends about the Bible and program and encourage them to listen as well. Tell them about the internet because that gives them a lot of freedom.

They can listen at any time of day or night. If they’re in a city where we are not broadcasting on a live station, they can actually go to the internet and still get Bible and wherever they might be. That’s true in other countries. 158 countries so far have logged on and we know we have listeners in Japan and Australia and all around the world which is exciting through the internet which is truly the worldwide web. We are very excited about what God is doing and we get emails from people that are listening in India, in Africa and Europe and that’s just really a blessing.

I hope you will tell your friends about the BibleLineMinistries.org website and encourage them, your friends, family and relatives and other places to come and find the Bibleline program on the BibleLineMinistries.org website. By the way, again, a resource center has lots of wonderful things. The average bookstore has a lot of materials that you really, really, really don’t want to buy. And the doctrine is not sound. And it will lead you astray. So you have to be careful in what you buy, what you read.

That’s why I like our resource center because everything in it we approve of and you’re going you’re going to find that you’re going to get more value for what you spend and you can be assured that they’re not perfect, but they’re going to give you good, solid teaching and that’s what you need to have today. Again, we love coming to you and I want to thank all of you who pray for and give the Bible and to make that possible because we really couldn’t be on the air without your help, without your support.

God for all of you who do give and if you’d like to give a gift today, you can do that by credit card over the phone. Just call our 800 number and they’ll be glad to take your gift. Or send you an envelope with our address on it and you can mail a gift in. But in any case, we certainly hope you’ll consider helping Bibleline with your prayers with your gifts. And I want to thank you in advance. God bless all of you who give and make this program possible.

We sure praise the Lord for you. We’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break and come back and do a second half hour of Bible and so keep your radio tuned right where it is and we’re going to go ahead and do a second half hour right now. So don’t go away. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright we’re back for night break. This is Bibleline. It’s great to be with you. Thanks again for tuning into the broadcast.

We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. From our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church. We hope that you will continue to listen and tell your friends about the program and invite them to tune into Bibleline. In the Tampa Bay area we’re going to be heard over the weekend as well at 10 o’clock in the morning Eastern Standard Time. So we’re on 7. seven days a week in the Tampa Bay area and I hope all of you will continue to join us over the weekend as well.

By the way, if you have internet, you can catch us over the weekend also. In fact, you can do it at any time of day or night because on the internet we’re heard obviously 24-7 and you can go there at your convenience at any time you want and catch the bottom line program. Plus we hope you have a place to worship this Sunday. If you’re in driving business, you’re welcome to come by and worship with us. We worship at 10.30 on Sunday morning.

And if you would like, if you live in another city, you can join the Sunday sermon on the Internet. If you don’t have a church home and you’re looking for a place, why not tune us in until you find one. And that’s by going to BibleLineMinistries.org. on the camera about 11 o’clock Eastern Standard Time when I begin the message, the audio and the video will come up and you’ll be able to watch it. When you go to the camera on our website, BibleLineMinistries.org and you click on that about 11 o’clock you’ll see on the screen it says stand by for the worship service and it’s a white screen with music in the background but all of a sudden as soon as the message begins that will turn into the live broadcast, then you’ll get to see and hear the message being delivered.

Join us for Sunday service, would you? And of course you can join our Bible and programs anytime as well. And of course, if you can’t do it on Sunday morning to go to the worship service, you can catch it later that day or in the week following. In fact, we have a year’s worth of sermons sitting there waiting for you to take a look at. We’re excited about being able to bring Bibleline to you and that’s thanks to you, the listeners that support this program.

We are totally listeners supported and without your support we could not be on the air and we would appreciate so much your prayers if you haven’t been praying for us put us on your prayer list and if you haven’t given a gift to the Bibleline or you haven’t given lately, would you help us through this tough summer time? We could really use your help to stay on the air in your area and we could really use your help right now.

Would you consider giving a gift today, maybe calling in and giving a gift by credit card over the phone or calling in and asking for an envelope to be sent with our address on so you can mail that gift in to Bibleline. It would sure help us. We don’t pay any salary, so we’re really able to get the most for the money that God allows us to have come through here, and it basically just comes in and goes right back out to pay the bills with the stations that broadcast our program.

We’re going to go to the phone lines again here. That number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771 and we have Emily in my Emmy Florida and Emily, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Yes, good morning. Good morning. I’m calling because I have a concern. I’m currently in a relationship with a person and we are planning to get married. However, I have a concern because I am a Christian and he is an atheist. I kind of feel like our marriage is going to be headed for a lot of problems because of this.

Even though he’s a great person and he loves me very much and I love him very much. I don’t somehow down the road I feel that this is going to cost a lot of friction and a lot of happiness in our marriage. I was wondering if you can advise me as to whether I should really go ahead and get married or… The Bible really says that you’re not to marry an unbeliever, as a believer. Second Corinthians 6 talks about in verse 14 on not being unequally yoked with an unbeliever because you won’t have any fellowship with somebody who is not a believer.

And it will cause problems and God knows that. That’s why He tells us that. Even in 1st Corinthians 7, which is a lot about marriage, it even talks about somebody who has had a partner die and they’re free to remarry, but in chapter 7 verse 39 it says they can remarry only in the Lord. So that means they need to find another believer. What you need to do is try to get him saved, which if that happens that will make a difference there for you.

Otherwise, according to the Bible, you’re not to marry an unbeliever. Thank you very much for hearing my. All right. You’re very welcome and thank you for the call. And that’s difficult, obviously, when you fall in love with someone and they’re not saved, you’re really asking for problems. If you violate what God… it’s God’s advice. God says you don’t want to marry an unbeliever. We now have Harold in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Harold, welcome to Bibleline. Great to hear from you.

Thank you for taking my call. I want to speak very fast because I got a good subject here. A question was asked of a rabbi. Why don’t Jews believe in Christ? Now I’m just going to give you four or five capsule comments. It won’t take long, okay? First thing, the question was, and he answered, Jesus was not a prophet or born of a virgin, too. Jesus was not a rabbi, 3. Jesus was not the son of God or Messiah.

Rabbis always taught in the name of Rabbis who were the teachers. And then he says, basic paths of the Messiah were not accomplished by Jesus, like defeating evil and the enemy and so forth. That was what they have. And now I refer to my pastor, Dr. Lynchdom. How do you respond to that? Well, I think he’s obviously just missing the force for the trees. Jesus Christ obviously spoke as God. He even says in numerous places, you’ve heard others say, but he says, I say unto you, he that hear my words and the rabbis would always quote some other rabbi or quote the scripture, but Jesus directly is God and he speaks as God as you see it in the New Testament.

And obviously he did fulfill the prophecies. Micah chapter 5 verse 2 says that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem and obviously he was born in Bethlehem and he fulfilled that prophecy. Herod when he became all concerned when the wise men came to Jerusalem had his scribes and Pharisees do a Bible study and say where is the Messiah going to be born? They found the prophecy and sure enough Jesus came out of that city of Bethlehem. We also know that he would be able to do miraculous things.

Isaiah 35 tells us he would make the lame to walk the blind to see the deaf to hear. He did all of those things, which were the credentials of Messiah. And obviously nobody else could do these things. You read it in John’s Gospel when he healed up blind man in chapter 9. It says no one has been able to do anything like this. And then of course, one of the most spectacular ones was the raising of Lazarus from the dead.

And in fact, because of that one, the Jewish leadership, the rabbinical leadership in Israel said we’ve got to kill him because if this continues, the whole world will believe on him and Rome will take away our place and they would lose their jobs and their position. clearly the Lord Jesus Christ was the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies. And what is so interesting, and if you get a chance to talk to one of these rabbis that you’re talking about, the Gabriel Revelation that just came out in the news last week, a new stone has been found three-foot high that was dated about a hundred years before Christ and there it talks about Jewish belief was that the Messiah would come and suffer and die and come back from the dead after three days.

This was published in one of the leading newspapers in Israel, the Hurats newspaper and now Jewish people are all conversing over there saying, should we have been looking for a Messiah that would die and come back again from the dead? This is quite an interesting revelation here that has come to light because they always thought that the resurrection of The Messiah was a Christian idea invented by those who believed in Christ, but the Bible clearly taught it. And the Bible claims that the Old Testament is filled with those prophecies and it is.

And here we see a secular piece of discovery here that shows that there were many Jews that believed that that was what the Bible taught and they were to look for a suffering Messiah. He would come back from the dead. One question, one question. The thing is, what about that the task of the Messiah were not accomplished by Jesus because defeating evil and ushering in a new peace has not been accomplished? Well that’s because again they rejected Him and that has been postponed.

He will come at his second coming and do that. You know the Bible had predicted two comings of the Messiah. He would come first as a suffering Messiah and die and come back from the dead to purchase our salvation. But Jesus is coming again and the second time He will bring peace and He will deliver Israel from their enemies. And the whole earth will be a wonderful place to live in that thousand year kingdom that He will establish. So they have somehow missed that fact that the Old Testament prophets talked about a suffering Messiah.

Isaiah 53 is a whole chapter that talks about the Messiah being rejected of men that he would be wounded for our transgressions, he would be bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace would be upon him and with his stripes we would be healed that we like sheep have gone astray but the Lord took our sin and laid it on him and he died to pay for our sins. detail that he would not defend himself before his accusers as he was silent before pilot and he would suffer and die and the sacrifice of his life would be the satisfying sacrifice that God the Creator would accept for our sins so that we could be saved.

It’s just a very clear deal testament. Well, I appreciate your answer as always. And by the way, I hope you’re getting my envelopes. I don’t ask for an envelope, but I use my own. Well, I am getting them, and thank you for supporting Bible, and we sure appreciate that, Harold. And I hope that people that hear me out right now do the same thing, and I really appreciate that I say, Shalom to you. Shalom to you, too, as an herald, God bless you.

A lot of folks inquire about Harold all the time and are concerned about him being a Jewish atheist and hoping and praying that he will soon if he has not already trust Jesus as Savior. We’re now going to go to Deborah in Tampa and Deborah, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning. I’ve heard you mentioned several times that you don’t believe now is the time that we can receive healing, that it was over a long time ago.

Well, I believe in divine healing, but I don’t believe in divine healers. So, sure, in my prayer meeting, we pray for the sick, and we pray for Be God’s will for them to be raised up, that he would raise them up. But we don’t believe that you can find somebody today with a power to lay hands on someone and heal them. That gift was temporary and a ceased. That gift, when it was operative, meant that they could also raise the dead.

There’s nobody doing that today, and that particular gift is gone. But God can heal when it’s with it as well. But many times it’s not God’s will for you to get well. If you read 2 Corinthians chapter 12, you have Paul was given an illness, and he was given it to him to keep Paul humble. And Paul prayed three times for healing. He was at a puzzle and God said, no, three times. And then Paul says, because he realized that God was doing this on purpose, that he says, I thank God for my infirmities, my weaknesses, my necessities.

And so here is Paul saying that we ought to give thanks sometimes when we get sick. How many times do you hear in prayer meetings? Somebody say, thank God I’m sick. Praise the Lord. But sometimes that can be a plus because maybe I’ve had people tell me, I have no time to read my Bible. Boom! They get thrown in the hospital. They say, you know, I’ve had the most wonderful time with the Lord over the past 10 days. I have been unable to do anything but read my Bible here in the hospital.

And they’ve seen how that God… A Actually made them I guess the time available so they could read their Bible now I would recommend you read your Bible and and not have to say I don’t have time to read it so that God would maybe put you on your back So you have the time to read it and and maybe it’s not the most pleasant circumstances But I believe in healing, but I don’t believe in divine healers. Okay. Thank you.

You’re very welcome. Thank you for the call If we had the gift of healing today These people that claim that they have it ought to be able to go to the hospitals and empty them out Bed by bed floor by floor and wouldn’t that be something if they just emptied a whole hospital out that would be wow That’d be wonderful. They can’t do that. They don’t even bother to go near a hospital when they come to town in their expensive jet but they Definitely take a lot of offerings.

We’re now going to go to Darryl in Tampa, Florida and Darrell, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Linsch. My question basically I would like to deal with what you were talking about at the beginning of your show about salvation. I’ve always been kind of like intrigued and puzzled about when Jesus talked about the parable, like the parable of the talents. I don’t have any argument. I fully agree with what you were talking about as far as salvation, trusting in anything else other than Jesus Christ for your salvation.

It’s faulty, but I always wanted to know what was Christ basically talking about when he talked about the parable of the talent. And then at the end of the telling of the story, removing the talent from that person, I understand because it was non-productive. You hit it in the ground, but then taking that to serve it, casting it into outer darkness, Whether it be weeping and gnashing of teeth always associated weeping and gnashing of teeth with those in torment those in hell I’m just kind of like confused about that.

Okay, and you have You’re absolutely right. That’s in Matthew 25 that you find this. In verse 30 it says, “…and he cast the unprofitable servant into outer darkness, and there would be weeping and ashing of teeth. But if you’ll notice carefully in the context, this person was not saved. The first two fellows, he says to them in verse 21 and 23, Thou good and faithful servant. Nobody can be called good unless they’re saved, because the Bible says in Romans 3.12, there’s none that doeth good, no not one.

Jesus said in Matthew chapter 19 to the rich young ruler, why do you call me good? There is none good but one, and that is God. So everybody is a sinner, everybody is obviously not righteous and not good in God’s sight. And so in order for someone to be called good, they have to be a believer. So we find the two fellows in the parable in Matthew 25 that were the first two are saved. But when it gets down to the last fellow, it says about him in verse 26, Now wicked and slothful servants.

So he was not saved and he is described here as wicked, which is true of every unbeliever as they stand before God in their own righteousness, which is wickedness because they are far short of the glory of God and they are all sinners. So this last guy was never saved. And that’s why he was cast out. We also know in John 6 that Jesus says in verse 37, he would never cast out a believer. Him that cometh to me Jesus said in John 6 37, I will in no wise cast out.

So he’d never cast out a believer. This has to be a lost person. Well, let me ask you this and I’ll go, this is also the intriguing part to me. Why would the Lord call him a servant? That’s because… That’s because this is talking about the tribulation period before the second coming. Christ is coming back as King. When he comes back as king, everybody on the earth saved and lost alike are his servants. And so here is a servant that is lost.

So it’s just like the President of the United States is President over all of us as citizens of this country. And it doesn’t matter whether we are of a particular religious persuasion or not, or whether we’re a particular race or not. under the authority of our government and he is our president. So Christ is King over everybody and the word servant is not the word you need to focus on but you need to find out of those that are under the authority of Christ when he comes back and rules over the whole earth as Lord of Lords and King of Kings and everybody’s under his authority some will be lost.

And they will not enter into heaven. Okay. So the reason why I was asking this because I called once before and I was talking the five wives and the five foolish versions. Yes. Some teach because genity of them meant that they were so you had the five wise versions and then you had the five foolish tree. What would he call went home with the bride and you had five of them who were foolish. Yeah, that’s not the point to focus on the fact that five were wise.

and five were foolish is where you focus. It says in 1st Corinthians chapter 1 that the preaching of the cross is foolishness to them that reject it. And it’s the power of God unto us that receive it and believe it. And so the foolish reject the preaching of the gospel and the wise accept the teaching, recognizing that this is the wisdom of God. 1st Corinthians 1 is a great chapter to cross-reference with that. But in the end in verse 12 of chapter 25 of Matthew Christ says to the foolish virgins.

I know you not so clearly they were not saved never saved And were lost when he came back and it was too late then for them and they could not enter in to the millennial kingdom Okay, thank you doctor. You’re so welcome. Thank you, Darrell and we have a ton of callers here Let’s see where we have to go. We have Jeffrey now in South Bay Florida and Jeffrey welcome to Bibleline your own here Jeffrey, where are you? Okay, you’re on here.

Hey, this is on Jeffrey. I’m just calling that I listen to you so all the time. And my question is, my question is, did you listen to Barack Obama speak yesterday in Russia when he was talking about the global economy and stuff? I didn’t want to. I do want to get your perspective on if you listen to it. I don’t believe he spoke in Russia, but he was in Berlin. And what is the question? Just the way he was talking, you know, and how he was speaking about it.

kind of uh… no to me for saturday like respect to work well obviously talked about us all being world citizens and uh… that we obviously would be required to do more than we’re doing whatever that means and it seems like uh… he’s forgotten that we in america are citizens of the united states of america and i don’t know about this world citizenship that’s a part of this one world government and this philosophy that we all are going to be having to pitch in to make this one world work together.

And I think those overtones were throughout there. It sounded a lot like Marxism to me, and right out of Marx’s handbook on how to be a good socialist. So that’s my opinion. And I think that obviously he’s forgotten what America is all about. And he’s trying to pull the world together as a global people and we’re all common citizens. I really was offended by that. And apologizing for the United States, which I don’t think you had any business doing that either, to the Germans who should be apologizing to us for what they did back in World War II.

We’ve lost a lot of people in Europe to let those people be able to hear Barack Obama yesterday. Thank you for that call and we’re now going to go to the next caller here we have she in uh… clearwater florida and she welcome to buy one year high uh… earlier about salvation stuff you know i’m much like you honestly do believe that you know salvation is absolutely one hundred percent upgrade not a work the work is a good to pay you uh…

you know none of that stuff gonna happen but at the same time it sounds like you’re you’re almost just separating salvation and disciples like someone who saved doesn’t have to perform the work i believe that salvation isn’t only if you’re going to see work and you know i’m not you know is much like scripture you you read math you seven and it speaks about you know the narrow and the white gate you know uh… but the small the small gate in the narrow road is the one that leads to life Now I’m saying that every believer ought to serve the Lord, every believer ought to become a disciple, but if you read 1 Corinthians 3, Verse 15 at the judgment seat of Christ, it actually says there, if any man’s work shall be burned, that’s what he does here on this earth in this life, it says he shall suffer loss, thus loss of reward,

but he himself shall be saved. So he’s still going to be saved even if he does no works at all. And obviously that can happen. There are many in the Bible that never have zipped it any real works or fruit. For example, a lot who chose to live in Solomon. He had no testimony. His life ended in ruin because he never did really live for the Lord. But yet he was saved. We’re going to see a lot in heaven.

We’re out of time. I’m Dr. Anchleinstrum. We have to run again. I hope everybody has trusted Jesus as their Savior, the only way to heaven.
