God bless you. Well, good morning and welcome to Bibleline. Great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day. Monday through Friday as we come to you live from our studios right here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor. And you’re welcome to come by. We’d love to meet you. We enjoy having our listeners come by and say hi. Our research center is open every day till about 4.30 in the afternoon.
You can come by, knock on the door and we’ll give you the royal treatment and we’ll get chance to meet you. That’d be great. If you can’t, if you live in another city, you can join our Resource Center or take a look at our Resource Center by going to the website, BibleLineMinistries.org. BibleLineMinistries.org. Click on the online bookstore and you’ll be able to visit our Resource Center from wherever you are in the world. By the way, also our program right now is being streamed to the Internet and you can catch it live on the Internet from anywhere in the world and you can go go back and listen to the program again and again as it’ll go into archive.
We have about two years with the radio programs sitting there waiting for you to take a listen to and also we have our Sunday worship services. We have a year’s worth of sermons sitting there, audio and video. You can watch and listen to the Sunday sermons and you can of course catch that sermon live on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. if you go to the website BibleLineMinistries.org If you click on the camera at 11 o’clock Sunday morning, when the message actually begins, the audio and the video will come up and you’ll be able to watch and listen to the Sunday morning broadcast.
By the way, you’re welcome to come out this Sunday. This is our third Sunday and we’re having a dinner after the morning worship and come and join us for 10-30 worship and then bring your Bible, your family, your appetite and stay for the lunch. A lot of great home-cooked food, great fellowship. We’d love to have you. And I hope you’ll come to Sundey and join us for that. And this Sundey, we’re having a baptism. If you have not been water baptized since you’ve been saved, you ought to be as a testimony of your faith.
It does not save you. Water has nothing to do with your salvation. The dying thief on the cross never had a chance to be water baptized, yet he was saved. And he’s an illustration of how we’re saved apart from any human work or effort on our part. In Ephesians 2, it says, by grace or by mercy, are you saved through faith in Jesus Christ? And it says, it’s not of yourself. It’s the gift of God. It’s not of works.
List of any man should boast. Then water baptism is a human work, and certainly it is not a part of our salvation. It is a testimony of how you were cleansed of your sin by the blood of Christ and when you trust Him you’re saved and you’re saved forever. In any case we’d love to baptize you if you haven’t been baptized. You’re welcome to join our service at three in the afternoon and you might as well make a day of it if you’re coming from any distance.
Come to the 1030 service in the morning this Sunday then stay for the lunch and then… Go with us to the baptism, which is a few miles from Bibleline headquarters here and we’ll include you. If you’d like to be a part of that call and get your name on the list. If you would, that would be nice. And then we’ll expect you and of course we can answer any questions before you come. Also, we want you to know that we have some wonderful resources in our Resource Center.
We have things that are very inexpensive. We have some great gospel tracks that really work that actually lead people to Christ. One of these called, am I going to heaven? Tell you how good these things are. We had a fellow that gave one of these out to a co-worker that fellow being polite, put it in a shirt pocket, took it home, put it in his dresser drawer, and didn’t look at it again. Until 13 years later he was cleaning out his sock drawer.
I don’t know why it takes been so long to clean out but 13 years later he found it again. He sat on the edge of his bed and read it and got saved. What a wonderful story. So here’s the track, Le Dorman, in a dresser drawer for 13 years. This track works. If somebody actually reads it, there’s a good chance it will get saved. It really works. And we have those available in bundles of 100, and they really do work.
do work, they really are clear and people really get the point when they read it and they do trust the Lord as their Savior. Also, we have the Schofield Bible and again, if you go to your Christian books, you’re probably going to get one of the newer versions of the Schofield Bible and they have added notes that are not by Dr. Schofield. They have watered down the old notes. You know, to get a copyright renewed or a new copyright, you have to change 10% and so in order to accomplish that they changed all of Dr.
Scophia’s notes and watered them down and then they added new notes and so they got a new copy right on the Scophia Bible so you really don’t want that one. The old is superior, the old is better and we hope that you will get one of those because it’s going to be an invaluable tool for you. It is geared to doctrine. If you want to know about inspiration, about evolution, about Angels about demons about salvation about heaven about hell All of these things are clearly laid out in the Scofield Bible and you’ll be glad you have gotten yourself one plus we have Commentaries we have two great ones one is called the Jamison faucet brown commentary Usually sells for about a hundred and fifty or more and we have it for a gift of a hundred it covers something on every verse of the Bible
Bible. It’s really my favorite. Then we have the James Vernon McGee. Five volumes, beautifully bound, cover something on every chapter of the Bible. That one retails for 200. We have it for 100. These will really help you. If you get both, you’ll really have some pretty good coverage on every verse and every chapter of the Bible. Plus, many more things, call and ask for a resource sheet to be sent to you. We’ll mail it right out. And you can also go online and look at our online bookstore at BibleLineMinistries.org.
BibleLineMinistries.org. Click on the online bookstore and you’ll be able to take a look. We’re going to get into the Bible and we’ll be taking our callers. We’ve already got people calling in. We’ve got an offer questions. We’ve got a lot of things to accomplish today. It’s Wednesday and we thank you for tuning in to the Bibleline program. We’re going to open our Bibles up and let me give you that phone number first so you You can go ahead and maybe call in and get in line to be up on the air.
1-800-576-3771, that’s 1-800-576-3771. So, give us a call and we’ll get you up on the air in a few moments. We’re going to turn to the book of Genesis. The question comes up, it seems again and again, and it’s amazing to me how it does, but in Genesis We have the story of prior to the flood of Noah, how that the sons of God, verse 2, saw the daughters of men that they were fair and they took the wives of all which they chose.
Well, the sons of God here are believers. That’s how it chews throughout the Bible, by the way. In John 1, 12, it says to as many as received Him, that is Jesus Christ, to them God gave power or authority for them to become the sons of God. To them that believe on his name. When you trust Christ, when you believe that Jesus Christ is who he claims that he is, that he’s God who took on human flesh, that he is the one that prophets had foretold would come, that would be born in Bethlehem, that would be born of a virgin, that would actually become one day in his second coming, the king of Israel and king over all the earth and bring peace on earth good will toward men.
When you recognize that this is the one who died on the cross and By his death and shed blood, paid your sin dead, you become a son in God’s family. The Bible tells us that angels never become God’s sons, never has God ever called an angel his son. And if you look at Hebrews 1-5, it says, under which of the angels did God say at any time, thou art my son. The answer implied is he never has. In fact, as believers, we become humble.
higher than the angels, although in creation they are higher than we, but once we trust Christ and become the sons of God, we become higher than the angels. The phrase here, the sons of God saw the dogs of men that they were fair and took them wives of all of which they chose. The daughters of men and the phrase sons of men always throughout the Bible refers to unsay people. You’ll find it’s amazing how it tells us for example in Psalm 14 about the sons of men and It says these are those who are those who do not call upon the name of the Lord in other words to be saved the Bible says who’s whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved and those that are the Sons of men are clearly those who are not saved who have not called upon the name of the
Lord but the sons of God are those that have called upon his name, that they believe that he is who he claims that he is. And in John 1.5 it says to as many as received him, that is Jesus Christ, to them God gave authority for them to become the sons of God, those that would believe on his name. So those that call upon the name of the Lord, those that trust Christ are saved. So often though they say that the marriages were between angels.
Well, first of all, it can’t be angels because God never called an angel his son. But number two, in Matthew 22.30, Jesus said angels do not marry. They’re not given in marriage. And by the way, there’s no instance in the Bible of any female angels. So how in the world could angels marry their own kind and have angels, baby angels, as their children. There are no baby angels in the Bible. There are no women angels in the Bible. Angels always appear in the Bible in the masculine.
And I’m just amazed that I mean people collect angels. I’ve been in many people’s homes and they say, look at my angel collection. And I look and sometimes I have to just bite my lip because they’re all female. Whatever they’re collecting is not angels because I had one man. He just was bored at Christmas time, shopping with his wife. You know how men don’t like to shop in the wall. He just went on a quest. He said, I went through that whole mall and I asked every place, do you have any male angels that I can buy?
And he would just not only ask the clerk, he’d ask the manager and he said, I’m looking for a male angel. He couldn’t find one in the entire mall. Now they have plenty of angels for sale. This is Christmas time, you see. But there are no such thing, says female angels. But yet today it’s gotten so reversed that all the angel replicas that you buy are all female. So if you have a collection like that, I hate to break your bubble or burst your bubble.
But guess what? Whatever they are, they’re not angels because there’s no such thing. Another simple thing which I discovered years ago as I studied on angels and I taught some courses on angels, I could not find a verse in the Bible that says angels sing. That may not be too exciting for you to find out, but you know it’s amazing at Christmas especially. You have all these hymns, choirs of angels, and heart the herald angels sing, and they’re almost all talking about angels singing.
There’s not a verse in the Bible, not a verse in the Bible that says that angels sing. Now if you look, you’ll not find it. Now if you have one of those terrible translations like the NIV which accommodates whatever people want to hear, it’ll translate it sing, but the Greek word does not mean that. And there’s not a verse in the Bible anywhere that says that angels sing. You can’t find it, not there. Not a big point, but there are no female angels, there are no baby angels.
Angels don’t sing, angels don’t have wings, they don’t have halo’s, they always appear in the masculine form. Well anyway, what is often taught is that giants were the result of the marriages of angels with women. Can’t happen. Angels don’t marry. Matthew 22.30, Jesus makes that very clear. But what people I’m amazed. And I’ve read some pretty good Bible teachers that have this opposite view and they don’t read their Bible carefully. It says in verse 4, there were giants in the earth in those days.
And then it says, and also after that, after that, after that, I don’t know why they don’t catch this, but it says after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, they bear children to them. Notice the giants were there prior to the marriages to try to say that the giants were the result of the marriages. It’s not what the Bible says. The Bible says there were giants in the earth in those days and after that after that after the giants were already here The sons of God the believers came in unto the daughters of men unbelievers and the bare children of them What happened here is the world?
Was corrupted because the gospel didn’t flow has got it intended it through the family through the father to the children and Here we had believers bearing unbelievers, which is forbidden. If you’re not married and you’re planning on getting married as a believer, you are not to marry an unbeliever. And here’s the very reason why. And such what happened here is that the whole world really didn’t pass the world, the gospel down to their children. And so you only had finally one family that was saved, that was Noah, and his family, his three sons, and their wives.
eight people were the only ones that believed at the end. In any case, angels don’t marry. Angels aren’t in Genesis 6. The sons of God and Job and other places are not talking about angels. Talking about believers, John 1, 12, again, to as many as received Him, Christ. To them, God gave authority for them to become the sons of God to them that believe on his name. So when you believe on Christ, you become a Son of God. We never become angels.
Angels don’t become men. There is a clear distinction in the Bible and I hope this helps clarify this a little bit. But if you’re not a believer, then you are not a Son of God and if you’re not a Son of God, then you cannot enter heaven. The only way to enter heaven is to know Christ is your Savior. And once you receive Him by faith, trusting that He died for you and shed His blood to pay for your sin.
God saves you and you become born again and become one of God’s children. And for the first time, God becomes your Father and you become His child. That is really good news. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is my blind. We’re going to go to the phone lines. We have lots of callers here. We’re going to go first to Mike in Kentucky. But before i go there i want to give you that phone number one more time it’s one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one mike in ashland kentucky and mike welcome to bible and you’re on the air hey uh…
thanks for taking my call you’re welcome i’ve got uh… three quick questions here when we get to heaven will we know our loved ones is uh… my mom’s been gone eleven years and that’s been gone uh… well i know them as my mom and that are what it be uh… brothering prior to her sister and i’ve heard i’ve heard several different people tell me different you know how they perceive it when uh… when jesus was on the uh… the uh…
mountain there and i believe it was uh… alijah and uh… moses the people recognize them and they knew that they were who they were and i was i was just wondering about you know what will i know them absolutely and i believe you speak up on a great illustration of that because there’s gonna be something about our resurrection bodies that will just naturally know each other even if we haven’t seen each other before and i think obviously uh… peter james and john when they went up into the mountain transfiguration in meccia seventeen had never seen roses that allowed you live hundreds of hundred years before they ever came on the scene and yet they recognize them immediately okay well uh…
my next member of the book of church one time about tears in heaven and i think uh… it was taken from the uh… first there in hebrews were working past about what such great a cloud witness and and the way the uh… it was explaining was that people in heaven could look down and and you know, see. Things we were going through or how we were living in this and it brought sorrow to them and I think it was tears in heaven and then when it gets into you know like revelations were God’s just then shall he wipe away all tears.
Well that is not true. The people in heaven cannot look down and see what’s going on down here if they did that would bring sorrow to them. And I don’t believe they can see what’s happening down here at all and They just have to wait but those you know when we stand before the judgment seat of Christ Which hasn’t happened yet all believers will stand there Those of the church age and we’ll have our works examined that apparently there’ll be those who’ll be ashamed those that will experience the loss And reward the regret the sorrow that comes by not having served the Lord And I believe they will be there will be tears shed and it won’t be The laughter the thousand year end of Christ that God then comes away comes over and wipes all the tears away from our eyes Right, okay Because they’re seeing what’s happening down here on the earth that
God doesn’t let that happen Well what what what is saying here in Hebrew chapter 12? I know exactly what you’re talking about And I’ve heard that same thing explaining to me, but what is saying there is that the people that God has mentioned there and reviewed for us in Hebrews chapter 11, which is the Hall of Fame chapter, is that these people have been testimonies or mentors or witnesses to us, and they are the ones that we ought to look back and copy and duplicate the wonderful qualities that they had in their lives as believers.
They were men of faith, men who believed the promises, men who acted on that faith, and the heroes of the Bible. So I don’t believe that there’s a grandstand in heaven where people are cheering us on, like I used to hear as a young Christian, but I believe it’s rather that the witnesses to us through scripture are these heroes that are listed there in chapter 11, chapter 12, it says, this great cloud of witnesses, obviously, is a group that we ought to follow in and uses our mentors.
Okay, last one real quick here. I said my mom has been gone 11 years and I don’t believe that she is able to come back and give me any advice or watch over me or what. I’ve had four different occasions since she’s been gone of experiencing a clone that she wore. On four different occasions for maybe about 10, 15 seconds, I’ve walked into her room and it’s like she’s there. Of course, you know, like I said, I don’t, you know, want to be absent in the body, to be present with the Lord, and I don’t think that the Lord’s going to let her come back and just let me know that, you know, she’s watching.
watching over or anything like that. Those experiences were strange and I don’t think it says any as far as I know anywhere I mean, we’re in the Bible that God would allow that to happen, but I just thought those were peculiar incidents, but it’s when they’ve happened, I mean, it’s just been overwhelming and it’s just like I know that it was her, but like I said, I just don’t think that you know, we’re allowed to. Yeah, I don’t really believe that those are obviously your mother and I don’t believe they’re even real.
I think sometimes our mind plays tricks. We have a wonderful mind and we have memories and if there’s something that you see quickly in just for a few seconds, we’ll trigger a memory. I think that’s what you’re seeing, but there’s no real appearance on behalf of your mother. say I have gone and left this body there in heaven in the presence of the Lord and they’re not coming back. Right. We’re gonna see them. So I wouldn’t put a whole lot of sucking that and this is where Satan can really get us off track where we go seek and looking and the Bible tells us that we’re not to seek the dead or pray to the dead.
This is all forbidden. Right. Well it just it’s you know like say uh… i’ve never you know just i’ve never seen her or anything like that it’s just that certain smell that is that I guess remember her it was a certain clone that she wore and and you know sometimes I think well maybe the Lord just let me experience that as a gallery yeah uh… it’s a memory and the lord does a lot of experience that memory and and to think finally on your mother but it’s not her uh…
appearing well how do you know something like an ashland kadakhi you listening off of a station uh… they’re near you catching us on the internet I’m listening to you on the W E M M 107.9. Very good. So call and let us know and we’ll get your name on the list and we’ll give you instructions and that’ll be at three in the afternoon.
So make it a day. By the way, if you can’t come, you’re living in another state and never another place, you can visit our worship service live on Sunday morning by going to the camera on the home page of our website. Click on that camera at 11 a.m. and as soon as I begin the message the audio interview will come up on your screen and you’ll be able to watch it. And I hope you will and if you can’t because you’re in a good church, which I hope you have a good church to attend, then you can watch it in our kind.
But we’ve got a year’s worth of sermons sitting there waiting for you to take a look at it. And I hope you’ll take advantage of that. Plus About two years of radio programs, they’re all there. And you can download it by the way, the radio programs in the MP3 format for your iPod. We have podcasting. We have all kinds of things, all free. Just take advantage of the website. It’s got so many good things there for you. I think you’ll really enjoy that.
Again, we’re in August and the summer has been a little bit slow and we really want to come out on our feet at the end of August. And that means that we need your prayers, so we need your financial help. We hate to talk about money. We’re not really trying to get your money. We just want to stay on the air. And it takes a lot of money to do that. We don’t pay any salaries. I don’t get a salary.
None of the people here on the program, volunteering on this program, they’re all volunteers. And we do that because we want to reach out as far as we can with the gospel and with Bibleline. And we’re excited about that. We get really responses from all around the world, especially from the internet here. I have an email in my hand here. It came from a fellow named Kaiser. His last name is Paul and he lives in Kampala, Uganda. That’s right, and he’s to Africa.
And he comments here. He says, I’m so happy to find your website which can help me test myself to see if I’m in the way to heaven. Isn’t that wonderful? We have people writing us on an email from all around the world. And here’s one that came in this morning from Uganda, Kampala, Uganda, and Africa, East Africa. We’re excited. And pray with us so we can continue to reach out and touch lives around the world through Bible and 150 countries so far have logged on.
And we’re on all six continents. There’s a seventh continent, but we don’t have any response yet from Antarctica. maybe some pinquin will dial us up on the internet. But right now we’ve got people in Asia and Europe and Africa and Central America and South America and North America and Australia and the Pacific islands and you name it, there are people all over the world that have been logging on to the Bibleline website and I hope you will and give it a shot.
In any case, we need your help financially. If you would be willing to help us, would you call in and give a gift to Bible I’d buy credit card? You could do that today. That would really help us. But if you can give it this month, that would really make sure that we can maybe come out standing on our feet at the end of the month, financially. And certainly we hope you’ll pray for us if you can’t give, we understand.
But if you can pray for us, we know that God is a great God that can supply. So give a gift if you can to Bible I’d today. And I want to thank you in advance. God bless all of you who pray for and give the Bible and you’re making it possible. And again, we’re not really trying to get your money. We don’t pay any salaries. This is all to get the message out. And we hope that you’ll join us on that.
We have a call from Huntington, West Virginia, and we have Janice on the line. Janice, welcome to Bibleline. Hi, Janice, you’re on the air. I have my station on listening to the glass. Yeah, you’re on the, you have to switch over to the end of the station, the AM station, and you get the second half hour. We’re on, I think, the FM, the first half hour, and then the AM, the full hour. Well, I’ll switch over after I talk to the picture.
So, do you have a question? Well, I would like to talk with him. Well, you’ve got your on the air with me right now. Oh, am I? Yeah, right. That’s cool. We’re glad you’re hearing our program up there in Huntington. And we are glad you called in. And what would you like to say? Well, sitting here in my chair facing east, waiting on Jesus to come back. Amen. Well, that’s it’s going to happen. Christ is coming. We just don’t know the date, but I believe he’s going to be soon.
I’m ready. Good for you. I watched the Olympics and Michael is winning. He made his 11th gold record and he’s going toizabeth. And after that I turned my radio on. I had my little dog, Frankie. She’s a little pomeranian, Chihuahua, on my lap. And she’s sis with me all night. I’ve been up all night. And then you catch Bible and in the morning. Yes. Well, it just came on. I get all this station. I just did and it’s dark.
I have a light out. Well, Janice, we thank you for calling in and we hope you’ll continue to listen. And I’m glad you’re watching for Christ’s return, which is so great. We’re going to move on to our next caller now. We have Carol in Richmond, Virginia. and Carol, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Oh yes, is this Dr. Hayne? Yes, it is. Well, I have a question that I’d like to ask you. It’s all confusing to me. Earlier today, you were talking about daughters of men being the unsaved.
Yes, ma’am. And I know that Christ liked to refer to Hisself as son of Son of man and I was just thinking that’s all of it. The daughters of men were unsafe, but yet Christ liked to refer to himself as son of man. Well, here we go. Let’s just talk about that for just a minute. The phrase son of in the Hebrew means to have the same nature, the same characteristics, to be in essence, to be very same. And when he’s called the son of man, it speaks about his humanity, his human nature.
Jesus Christ was God and man at the same time. He’s the God man. He’s God who came and took on human flesh. He’s also called the Son of God. So that means he had all the qualities and the very nature of God himself. And so the Bible tells us that he is gone and that he is man. He’s also called the Son of David, which many had the qualities of David, the shepherd king. And he is of course called the good shepherd that gave his life for the sheep and so on.
And how he is obviously coming at his second coming is a great king. So it’s a reference to that and obviously when it refers to the human race, we are called the daughters of men or the sons of men referring to our humanity without Christ. But once you become a believer, you then become born again and become the son of God. And the Bible says that God’s seed remains in you as a believer, once you become a believer. And as you’re born again, it’s of God’s incorruptible seed.
And we have his seed innocent, it remains in us forever. So we have this incorruptible birth that comes about from God. And so we as believers now are called the sons of God. But you’ll find that if you do a word study, it’s consistently used that way of the human race. The sons of men usually referring to men in their natural state without Christ, but believers who become saved, obviously when you believe you do become saved, you become a son if you got.
Okay. That cleared it up for me because I was a little confused why the daughters were the unsaved and yet he called himself son of a. So when he does that he’s referring to his earthly, fleshly, fleshly idea. His humanity, right. Yes. Okay. Very good. Thank you. You’re very welcome and God bless you. We’re now going to go to. you And, Kwan in Tampa, Florida. And welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Yes, this morning I heard that God does not call any angels son.
Now go to 2nd thessalination chapter 2. If you read it there, if you read it there, this one with the article, that can only refer to one person and we know that there is only one that is George to go to hell and to go to die that this son of perdition but here God called him son that son of whom I mean I mean if if if are even he is the son of hell he’s the son of perdition this is a man who is going to be empowered by the anacrist and and draw by the Antichrist and it’s referring to this man of sin.
He’s also called that in the same verse and he is the one who comes from the author of sin which is Satan. And so yes indeed that is a particular person but this is not talking about an angel there. It’s talking about a man. Oh my friend that cannot be a man because he is the one that is with the article. He is one man in history of our creation. I agree with you. There is one man that Satan will endual during the tribulation period after the rapture that will be called the Man of Sin, the son of tradition, and he will be defeated by Christ at his second coming and cast alive into the eternal lake of fire.
If you read Revelation 19 verse 20, it says that when Christ comes back, he takes the antichrist who’s also called the beast and cast him alive into the everlasting lake of fire so it’s not talking about angel is talking about the antichrist we now have an angel actually his name is angel angel in Tampa on the line and angel welcome to buy one year on the air uh… good morning faster governor i know There is an on-golly movie by Hollywood where Christopher Walken plays Gabriel and Gabriel accordingly, he’s jealous of us because God loves us.
See, you said that God loves us. He was human. He’s very on-golly and all these movies and Hollywood are based on the Catholicism. You know, they’re Catholic doctrine. Well, actually they have an angel married at the last one. They have three movies, called Prophecy. and an angel and a woman having a child. This shot to defeat the evil angels. That’s not too much on the gallery. But the only thing I got is that I got a lot of books in this movie and gave real his jealous.
But that’s what the angels had noticed, son of God. and uh… Another thing I feel sorry about the Olympics was these children, the Americans and other countries, they lose and they start crying. Looking for a corruptable crown. I’m waiting for my incorruptible crown Jesus. Have you been watching the Olympics? but it’s a bit of a madness bits and pieces I know exactly what you’re talking about and you’re right you know for the believer we are looking for crowns in heaven that are incorruptible and will abide forever and there are five different ones mentioned that can be earned by the believer here on the earth and these other crowns are these metals that they win are only a temporary reward and as believers we need to focus on the things that are eternal.
You’re absolutely right on angel and you got it right. And I think a lot of our teaching about angels has come from artists and from different bad teaching from churches. I’ve been in St. Peter’s in Rome numerous times and there you have these beautiful sculptures of little baby angels. They’re just as cute as could be. They have these little baby wings riding out of their back and there’s proportions so well and they’re plump and and they got beautiful smiles on but there is no such thing as a baby angel.
But I think people because of the artwork and the churches that endorsing these things seem to have applied to things that are not biblical at all. I know. I read the whole book. That’s the one I know. Well, God bless you and thank you, man. You’re doing a great job, Pastor. Thank you, Angel. All right. Angel in Tampa, he’s a man, but he’s got the name Angel. We’re now going to Clark in Saint Petersburg. Clark, welcome to the Bible on your own ear.
Thank you for taking my call, Dr. Lindstrom. The trick tells us that man and wife will join together and become one. My question is this, my wife died two years ago and it’s gone to heaven. Now when I die and go to heaven, we be reunited as one again. Thank you for taking my call. As you will not be men and wife in Heaven, the Bible says in Matthew 22 it talks about that we will be as the angels are as far as marriage is there and there will be no marriage and having children in Heaven.
But you will know each other and you will be reunited certainly. We are going to be joined together to our loved ones and we will see them again but you won’t have them as your wife. In Matthew 22, they’re the hypothetical case they’re brought up by the Sadducees that trapped Christ. They talked about a man that had married this woman and he died. And according to the Old Testament law, because he had left the children to carry on the family line and inheritance, the brother would marry her and he married her and he died and didn’t leave any children.
So the third brother married her and finally seven brothers had married this one woman. And of course, one at a time each one died. I don’t think I would want to marry that woman. But in the end they said, whose wife shall she be of the seven? Because she really was married to all seven of these brothers who wanted a time. They all died off. And last the ball she died. Christ answers the question in Matthew 22.30 and says that we don’t marry in heaven.
So there will be no marriage in heaven. It will be as the angels are as far marriage is concerned, no procreation and so on. So, but you’ll be together and I think we’ll all be brothers and sisters in one big happy family, but you’ll recognize and know your children, your grandchildren and your wife and other family members, but you won’t have the same relationship as you did here on the earth. Clark, I hope that helps that I know you’re missing her, but you’ll get to be with her and it’ll be a great day when that happens.
Alright, we’re now going to go to Ken, and Ken is in Miami. Ken, welcome to Bibleline Year on the Year. Hey, Hank. Good morning. How are you doing? Good. Well, that’s good. I hope I don’t get cut off like you cut me off in the past, but I mean no harm. I was talking in reference to the sons of God. wanted to make comment that the same meaning, the title, Sons of God is not the same meaning for the Old Testament.
In the New Testament it does, as you said, it applies to those who have been born again, because apart from that we’re going to the Sons of Men, and when we receive the gift of God we become Sons of God, as you said. But in the Old Testament it applies to angels. And it’s used five times in two times in Genesis and three times in the book of Job. And the Son of God, it denotes a being brought into existence by the creative act of God.
Adam was known as the Son of God there in Luke 338. But as he bore children, they took on the image of Adam. But in Job also, it makes it clear that, you know, I don’t have the corner of truth as to what happened in Genesis. Yeah, we covered that yesterday about what happened in Job. That scene is on the earth, and those are believers that came together to worship the the Lord. And these sons of God were worshiping and Satan had been observing them and God comes along and then he has Satan have you considered my servant Job.
In chapter 38 it’s not talking about angels but it’s talking about stars themselves. Today we know that stars sing, that each one has a sound that they admit. We have radio telescopes that pick up those sounds and we have them all over the world and picking up sounds from stars and can map the heavens with the sounds that come from the stars. And if you read further down, it talks about the different constellations in star groups and it talks about octurs and his sons.
These These are stars. that is talking about sons of the different consolation groups and it’s not talking about angels, nowhere is an angel ever called a son and you’ll find that very clearly said as we said earlier in the program in Hebrews 1-5, that should answer it forever. He says under which of the English they say, Thou art my son and he never did. Angels don’t become God’s sons and nor were they ever God’s sons and we as believers are playing.
He’s placed above the angels in position, and the angels will become ministering spirits to us for all eternity. And they are below us as far as the believers concerned, as far as just our human creation, they’re above us. But when we trust Christ, they become below us. We are higher than the angels. So there is not a verse in the Bible ever. And the Bible does certainly not contradict itself. you can and I totally disagree with you. Now there’s not a reference anywhere to angels being the sons of God.
These are believers that married unbelievers and I think the context proves that. We’re going to go to David now in Palm River, Florida and David welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Hi Dr. Hank. Good morning. Hi. I want to think and explain for us how the division of time of the c and a d came about and started that out of that all coming to effect and i’ll hang up a little smoke here when the regarding calendar uh…
was created about six centuries after christ they went back to the birth of christ to start to calendar and then of course they said that time before christ birth was uh… before christ or b c and that time from christ birth would be eighty which really is from the Latin animina which means the year of our order when Christ was born. Some people have thought wrongly that 80 stands for after death. It’s referring from the Latin to the year of his birth.
Actually the calendar was a little bit wrong because most agree that it’s anywhere from two to six years off that they didn’t get exactly right as to when Christ was born. But in the case all history is really centered around Christ. Isn’t that interesting? That obviously all of history is divided by Christ, all history before Him, BC, all history sends Him is AD. And for those that are atheist or agnostics or non-Christians, they try to get away from that by saying they use the designation CE and BCE.
C.E. stands for Common Era, E.R.A. and B.C.E. stands before Common Era, but the dividing point is still the same. I don’t care what you’d say. Christ really divides all of history. And that’s really how it all came about. David, thank you so much for the question. And we’re now going to go to Matthew in Spring Hill and Matthew, welcome to the Bible, and you’re on there. Hey Hank, we’re going to judge the angels. That’s correct. We’re going to Jeff’s Angels and it won’t be for what some have blamed on them in Genesis chapter 6 because that never happened.
Amen. Hey Hank, I got a question. When we’re born again, the Holy Spirit indwells us and he also makes alive our dead spirit. When we trust Christ, just we become born again and we’re now spiritually alive, our dead spirit. Actually the word dead is kind of misleading, but we’re deaf and the Bible means separation. Our spirit is very much alive prior to salvation, but it’s separated from God. The believer is not able to receive the things of the Spirit of God.
Spiritually cannot understand the things of God except for the gospel. When we trust Christ, it’s like the light turns on and all of a sudden we are spiritually connected. When we read our Bible, all of a sudden it’s like the light turns on and we can understand. and everything becomes to get into focus as we learn and grow in God’s word as a believer. But the unbeliever could read the Bible all of his life and not get anything out of it.
My question is then also before the fall, was Adam’s spirit like ours is now? Yeah, he definitely, you know, Adam communed with the Lord. The Lord walked with him in the garden. And but once he sinned, all of a sudden God withdrew himself and didn’t walk with him the garden and now man was afraid and separated from God and he hid as you might remember and then tried to cover himself. But the fellowship that God had with man and man had with God in the garden prior to the fall ended when man sinned and that was when they became spiritually separated or that’s what we call spiritual death.
Okay, so then when the Lord made him a coach of skin, then was his spirit renewed like ours is again or? Yeah, then he could have a communion with the Lord again as a believer, absolutely. Amen. Thank you, Hank. You’re very welcome. It’s sure good to be able to be with you and we have more collars waiting and I just can’t get to you because of the time. But we’ll be back again tomorrow and I hope you will plan to listen.

The nice thing about the internet is you can pause me, you can back me up, you can pass forward, you can listen to it in infinite number of times. Almost I guess it can’t be infinite because you couldn’t be around for eternity to pull that off. But at least our problems won’t be around for eternity on on the internet. But in any case, take advantage of the internet and also for our worship services. And we certainly want you to visit that website, BibleLineMinistries.org.

And we need your help to make sure that we end August on our feet with not any of our bills hanging out there. We want to make sure that we’re on the air and every place that we’re on the air not have to cut any station And we want to be on the air where you’re listening wherever that might be you could help us and we’re certainly Not trying to get your money.
We simply want to pay the bills. We don’t pay any salaries So Bibleline is probably more efficient than almost any other ministry out there I don’t know if others that do that, but we funnel everything back into being on the air and trying to reach out as far as we can I feel like we’re running against the clock Christ is coming back We don’t know when, but we know it’s getting close. And we feel like we need to do all we can to reach out as far as we can with a clear message from the Bible.
And time is running out. So if you want to help us do that, that would be great. Call and give a gift by credit card over the phone or call and ask for an envelope to be sent with our address and mail that gift in. And certainly I hope you’ll pray for us.
