We’ll try to get to as many of those as we possibly can and we hope that you’re going to have a great week.

If you have your Bible handy, get it open and we’re going to turn to first Corinthians chapter 6 in a passage here that really is not difficult but yet people seem to get confused by it. It says in verse 9 of 1 Corinthians chapter 6 No ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. First up, who are the unrighteous? Well, the unrighteous are the unbeliever. In Romans chapter 3 and verse 10 it tells us as it is written there is none righteous, no not one.

So everybody on the planet, everybody that is born into this world, is born into this world with a simple life. nature, inherited from Adam, and everybody is born unrighteous. Our best righteous deeds, the Bible says, are filthy rags in God’s sight, Isaiah 64 6. So right up front we know we’re talking about the unsaved. The righteous in the Bible are those that have trusted Christ and their faith in Christ and his substitutionary death at the cross is counted for righteousness.

So the The believer is considered righteous, whereas every unbeliever is considered as the unrighteous. It tells us right here that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. We are here in 1 Corinthians 6 verse 9. So, right up front we know who we are talking about. We are talking about unsaved people. People that do not know the Lord as their Savior. And it says here then, as it continues, do not be deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor feminine, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Well, obviously these, again, are talking about people that are unsaved. talks here about inheriting the kingdom and inheritance is a gift and salvation is a gift and they cannot inherit it because they don’t have Christ as their Savior. So we have here in verses 9 and 10 people that are lost and by the way every one of us before we were saved are seen in this group right here. He talks here about people that are covetous. Who hasn’t ever coveted in their life?

You know when you go to the mall, the business people are counting on the fact that you covet. They have store windows that they beautifully display their goods in and you walk by and you say, I just got to have that. And then you walk in and buy it because you see it and you covet that particular thing. And the Bible says here that those that covet those that are thieves, who hasn’t stolen something in their life, maybe a pencil, and a razor, a paperclip, but maybe robbed a bank.

I don’t know. But if you did anything in the way of taking something that didn’t belong to you, then you’re a thief. And so this, this includes all of us. But once you become a believer, the Bible declares you righteous in God’s sight. Look at what it says in verse 11. It says, in such were such were some of you, but you are washed, you are sanctified, you are justified. The word justified means to declare righteous in God’s court of law.

God declares the believer righteous based upon Christ’s substitutionary death as he took our place and took our sins and paid for them by his death at the cross by his death in shed bloody paid her sin debt and we can receive his very righteousness in order to enter heaven. The word sanctified means that we’re made pure and holy in God’s sight. So God positionally sees every believer as though he had never sinned in his entire life. And then it says here also that you are washed.

We’re washed of our sins. As a believer, washed. It says the word Revelation 1-5, unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. So here we find the unbeliever can’t go to heaven and the unbeliever is described here as the unrighteous. Then it describes some of the sins of the unbeliever or the unrighteous. Any one of which could cause you to go to hell and because they are not born again, because they are not members of God’s family, they cannot inherit the kingdom of God.

So it says in verse 11, such were some of us, but we of course are washed. We are sanctified. We are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus. The Bible says that you are bought verse 20 with a price. Therefore, as a believer, we ought to glorify God in our body and in our spirit which belong to Him, but we don’t live for Christ or serve Christ or do things for Christ in order to be saved. It’s very clear in the Bible that Jesus paid our total sin debt and at the instant that we trust Him, we become righteous in God’s sight.

Let’s go back to chapter 1 of Corinthians. This wonderful first Corinthians was written to the people at Corinth, Greece. I’ve been there numerous times and these were people that lived in a commercial city and they were just average ordinary people and yet it calls them in verse 2 of chapter 1, saints. Why? Because they trusted Christ as their Savior and the Bible says that they were sanctified in Christ Jesus. Now the word sanctified again means to make pure and holy from the Greek word from which is translated.

And that is the verb form that we have in English sanctified. And every person that is sanctified is in the noun form a saint. So we have according to the Bible saints. And we become saints instantly at the moment of trusting Christ as our Savior. So if you are a believer, right now you are a saint. This wonderful letter of 1 Corinthians is written to the believers at Corinth and they’re all called saints. Under the Church of God, which is a Corinth, to them that are called, rather to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints.

And that also includes us today with all that in every place called upon the name of Jesus Christ. saints at the moment we believe and of course chapter 6 verse 11 says the same thing you are sanctified you are washed you are justified when you trust Christ as your Savior. So salvation is not by works it’s not by stopping certain sins it’s not by obedience it’s not by living for Christ although as a believer every believer ought to live for Christ.

We ought to serve Him. We ought to clean up our lives. But we don’t do it to become saved. We do it because we are saved and we’re grateful and we want to live for Christ and be effective as a witness for Him. But this particular passage talks about any sin. In Revelation 21, 27, it says, just one lie could keep you out of heaven. And so you have to have God’s righteousness to be able to enter heaven. And when you trust Christ, you are made according to the Bible as righteous as God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Let me quote 2 Corinthians 5, 21, it tells us that God made Christ to be sinned for us, Christ who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. In other words, your sins, my sins were taken by God and laid upon Christ and he who knew no sin, who was absolutely sinless, was made to be sin because God took our sins and laid them upon Christ so that we might be made the very righteousness of God in him.

What a concept. You hardly ever hear it taught, but we have to be righteous to go to heaven. But our righteousness is filthy rags. The best deeds that you can do are filthy rags. It says in the United States, in 64 and 6, all of our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. That shocked me because I could understand how my sins were filthy rags. But the Bible says that my righteous needs are filthy rags in God’s sight. We have nothing to offer God.

We simply come as we are, trust Him as our Savior. He declares us washed, sanctified, justified on the basis of Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf. And from that moment on we are saved, we have eternal life, and now we have the privilege of serving Christ and living for Him. And because we know that we’re saved and because we know that we’re forgiven, that’s That’s why we labor for Christ now, because one day He’s going to reward us for what we have done.

It tells us over in 2 Corinthians 5, 8 that we’re confident and know that when we die, that we’re absent from the body, present with the Lord. Then in verse 9 of 2 Corinthians 5, it says, Wherefore we labor. And that is of course so that we can have his approval and he might give us the rewards that we loved and still fought us because we have faithfully served him once we got saved. My salvation has nothing to do with my works and I was raised at a church that taught that.

I was always taught that I had to make new improvements every day as I was trying to climb my way to heaven. And I didn’t find out until I was out of high school, 18 years of age, that nothing I did could ever save me. Only Christ could save me by His death and shed blood at the cross. And when I trusted him according to the Bible, I received the gift of everlasting life. I’m Dr. Englund, we’re going to go to the phone lines and we invite you to call.

We have lots of callers. We have Debbie in St. Petersburg. And that number by the way is 1-800-576-377-1, 1-800-576-3771. And Debbie in St. Pete, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Thank you. Turn your radio down, Debbie. Yes, I have. Okay, you’re on the air. Thank you. What’s the question? Oh, thank you. I haven’t been listening to, I haven’t been able to listen to your show in a while, so I haven’t been able to call in. And I’ve had this verse for quite some time.

And today when I called in, when I was able to call in, and I heard that you were in 1st Corinthians chapter 6, it practically floored me because that’s exactly where my question is. Could you please explain to me, Pastor Hank, chapter 6, verse 3? Okay, it says here in verse 3, no you not that we shall judge angels. Right. And you know one we die and are with the Lord at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ.

All of the angels at that time are going to be judged to, that is the fallen angels, to be assigned a degree of punishment and hell. And we We are going to be a part of that judgment because they obviously have influenced our lives and they’ve been impacting our world that we live in. And so we’ll be there and be a part of that judgment. Kind of interesting, isn’t it? That we’re going to judge the fallen angels not to affect as whether they go to hell or not.

That’s already been decided by God. They’ve already been judged as far as their destiny. But as far as the degree of punishment and hell, that’s still yet to come and we’ll be part of that judgment so we’ll be with the angels to be to be judge not to judge them we will judge fallen angels yes yes uh… we’ll judge the good angels of the angels but that’s what confused me i thought holy cow you know but we’re gonna you know we’re gonna do the angel i don’t know about that but i’m going to judge the fallen angels we’ll be there at the great white thrown judgment where all the unbelievers in the human race will be awaiting their degree of punishment according to their works.

They’re all going to be there because they’re lost because they’re not believers in Christ and so will the fallen angels be there and we will be a part of that judgment. Okay where would you find that that’s where it distinguished that we will judge the fallen angels because here that’s where it confused me where it just said and we will judge the angels. Well it says that in verse 2 that we’re going to judge the world, obviously the world there again being the lost.

It doesn’t talk about we’re going to judge the church or judge the same. We’re judging the lost. And that judgment occurs and is described very well for you in Revelation chapter 20 verses 11 through 14. So we find that when the world is judged that is the lost. It says in 1 Corinthians chapter 11 that God, when we’re dealing, he chases us so that we should not be condemned with the world. So the world is those that are lost, that don’t know Christ, and they’ll be cast into hell just like the fallen angels will be cast into hell.

And it’s at that judgment, the believers will stand there and judge the world, and will judge angels. And they’re the fallen ones. Hope that helped. Thank you, Debbie. Thank you, Pastor. and that was Debbie in Saint Petersburg. We have Mark at Hollywood Florida. Mark, welcome to the Bible when you’re on the air. Oh, that’s a hank? Yes, Mark. Yeah. Listen, I keep on hearing from Roman Catholics that they gave us the Bible. Exactly. What does that mean? They gave us the Bible?

Well, they didn’t. The Jewish nation and God gave us the Bible. No, but when they say this, what do they mean by it? What they’re trying to say is that the Bible was put together, they say, in the fourth century and they take credit for that. And that’s not even true. What happened when Constantine declared in the fourth century that the world should be Christian, he asked for finals to come forth and they had the Council of Nicaea and all they did was affirm, all they did was affirm That the books that we have in our Bible that had been accepted already by the Old Testament Jews, the 39 books of the Old Testament, and the 27 books of the New Testament accepted by the early church were indeed the Word of God.

There was never a committee that ever met and decided which books would stay and which books would go. These different councils have been held down through time simply were times when the church would affirm That the books we have the 66 books total the 39 of the old and the 27 of the new were indeed the word of God Nobody ever put the Bible together God did each book as it was written was accepted as the inspired word of God You find that when Paul wrote his letters the people received them immediately as being the word of God You see that in 1 Thessalonians 2, 13, where Paul commends the people at Thessalonica, and he says, you received my words, not as the word of men, but as the word of God as it is in need and truth.

And we find that Peter tells us that Paul’s writings are Scripture, that they were the word of God. And vice versa, and you see all of that taught throughout the New Testament, that these books, each of them, were considered Scripture from the moment they were penned. And the early church received them as God’s Word, and they were collected into a group of 27 books. And the Old Testament was assembled the same way. When Moses wrote his books were accepted as being God’s Word, and each excessive, authentic spokesperson for God, a prophet, as they wrote their books were accepted and added to what we call the canon of Scripture.

And that was completed with 39 books. that God really put that together and men have affirmed that those books indeed are God’s word but never did they make the choice as to which books would or would not go in. There’s the Hank? Yeah. Yeah, listen, I did a quick research on this and I come up with Saint Jerome. He translated the Old Testament from Hebrew into Latin, the Vulgate, which was the common language in AD 405. That’s right. That’s right.

Then he translated it into English to Duway Bible in 1582. Then I check out the earliest by Tyndale, William Tyndale, translated the New Testament, Greek into English in 1524. So you got the English to Duway by Roman Catholic in 1582, and you’ve got Tyndale into English in before 1524. Of course. And again, everything stems from the autographs, the original writings. right he brought the aromatic and the greek and and as you say they don’t know what they’re talking about again now that they’re just trying to they’re trying to know you you’re trying to take credit for something they didn’t do and and you’re on didn’t translate the bible in the english he translated as you said the bible into uh…

latin and the duet uh… translational the uh… catholic translation the english translation of the bible was uh… from the latin to the english but the king james was a direct translation from the greek and he would write into english yeah but that was fifteen or sixteen or something or something sixteen eleven sixteen eleven yeah and then i don’t need that you’ve got uh… or white cliff translated from latin into english in uh… thirteen eighty two recapics did not give us the bible god i think i keep on hearing that from them and uh…

they haven’t got a late to stand on no they don’t know what i call a snow job. Yep, you’re absolutely right. I agree with you. Thank you for sharing that with us. Okay, thank you. Alright, Lawrence Dunn in Hollywood, Florida. We now have Joe in Pembroke, Pines, Florida and Joe. Welcome to Vamblin. You’re on the air. Hi, Pat. Hey, Joe. How you doing? Good. I’m just going to call him real quick because I was reading in the book of Acts 1347 or 48, I want to know what that means there, what it says, ordained to believe, because I reject Calvinism, but I got caught on that verse and Scolfield doesn’t explain nothing about that.

Well what is interesting here is that the word ordained there is not for ordained or pre-ordained, but it is something that happens in the present. It really should read as many as were determined to have eternal life believed. In other words, it was a present determination on their part. The way the word is translated in other places, for example, in chapter 15, you have the same word ordain translated determined in verse 2 of chapter 15, where it says, when therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined.

That’s the word translated or dained over in Acts 1348. And it says they determined that Paul Barnabas and Sir Geddes should go up to Jerusalem. So notice that was a decision not made before the foundation of the world or not made by God, but here this group of believers made that decision and it was at that particular point. What is saying in chapter 13, therefore, as many of these that were determined to have eternal life or desire to have eternal life, they believe it was not a foreordination.

It was not a predeterministic. It was something that happened upon the spur of the moment when they believed. Alright, we have to kind of end this half of the program. It’s already over and go to break time. It will come back and do a second half hour Bibleline and we can talk to Joe if he wants to hold on. But again, we’re into the summer here and halfway through August. Bibleline is running a little bit short. We could choose your help if you want to help Bibleline.

Your gift would be greatly appreciated. You could call our 800 number and give a gift today by credit card. And I hope you consider doing that. God bless all of you who give and pray for Bible and you keep it going for us. We’re going to take a break. I’m Dr. Engleth from Wig right back and we’ll do a second half hour when I get back. We’ll go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771.

That’s 1-800-576-3771. Alright we’re having fun here on Monday. This is Bibleline and it’s good to be with you again. Thank you for tuning in to the Bibleline broadcast. You could help us grow our audience by telling your friends about this program and they don’t have to be confined to the United States. Anywhere in the world, maybe you have friends, family in other parts of the world, maybe you have missionaries in foreign countries. You could let them know about Bibleline and they could obviously listen in wherever they are.

We get correspondence from all over the world, people that are finding Bibleline. We’ve got one last week from Kampala, Uganda. And the fellow writes and says he’s so glad he found Bibleline because he says he’s going to use it as a guide to make sure that he stays right on the path as he studies his Bible. So we’re excited that we can be a blessing to people in Uganda, Africa, and many other African countries have written in India, Europe, and around the world.

So if you have friends or family or relatives in other parts of the world, please let them know about our website, BibleLineMinistries.org. I was just thinking about it yesterday. You know, so far, 38,000 people have taken our quiz on the home page of our website. We have a quiz there about how to go to heaven, am I going to heaven, and 38,000 people have taken it and failed it. Many of them coming back and then passing it as they learn how to be saved on our website.

Isn’t that remarkable? 38,000 people have taken that quiz and failed it. Many of them have come back and passed it because they learned that salvation was a gift and not by works. We certainly hope that you’ll take advantage of the website. Tell your friends about it. Listen to these programs as often as you like and we hope that you’re passing that word along. Again, we’re excited about being in a a great time during the summer here as we watch for Christ’s return.

Are you watching the news? Are you reading your Bible? I’ll tell you, rushing, coming down against Georgia is a prelude to what the Bible says will happen when Russia will come down against Israel. We are living in the last days. And I know if you’re a believer, you really need to step up to the plate and do all you can in the way of making sure your family is saved and living for Christ while we have time before Jesus Christ returns.

We’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break and do the second half hour of Bible ends. So keep your radio tuned right where it is and we’re going to do the second half hour right now. You’d like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. Just pick up your phone on a dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back from that break and this is Bible, and it’s great to be with you.

Hopefully you’re having a great day, it’s Monday. And we look forward to having a great week with you and I hope you’ll join us. We had a A wonderful day yesterday in our worship service. We had lots of people get saved. We had a bunch of people get baptized in the afternoon. And it was wonderful people who have gotten saved, wanted to give testimony by water that would be a picture of how they were cleansed of their sin by the blood of Christ.

By the way, our Israel brochures are ready. Many of you gave us your name and address and we’ve mailed that brochure out. If you don’t have one and you’d like to get one, the trip will leave for Israel February 23rd. We can mail that brochure out to you today if you will call and give us your name and address. You can also see that brochure on our website. Go to BibleLineMinistries.org BibleLineMinistries.org and click on, if you would, Bibleline News, it’s right there above the camera on the homepage and when you click on that, it’ll say Israel Tour brochure, click on that and you’ll be able to read the brochure and print it out on your printer.

But we’ll be glad to mail you one, if you just call in and give us your address. It’ll be a wonderful trip, it’ll be number 15 for me. We’re now going to go to the phone lines again and we have an anonymous caller from St. Petersburg and welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes. I have a question about tongues. And Paul received the gift of tongues in the New Covenant as I see it, not the old. In chapter 14 verse 2 Paul said I desire spiritual gifts but rather but rather prophecy then that gift of tongues and in verse 18 he said I thank God I speak with tongues more than ye all and if God’s same today yesterday and tomorrow why is it you don’t believe that we have that today I’ll hang up and hear your answer.

Alright, very good question. Well, the gift was temporary in nature and although God doesn’t change, He told us plainly in His Word in chapter 13 that three gifts would cease when the New Testament record was completed. And that would be the gift of knowledge and the gift of prophecy and the gift of tongues. And it says when that which is perfect is come and that which is in part shall be done away. Now that which is perfect is speaking of the Bible the word of God.

In James 125 the word of God is called that which is perfect. In Psalm 17 5 the word of God is called that which is perfect. The law of the Lord is perfect making wise the simple and converting the soul and we find that it cannot refer some try to say it’s referring to Christ and that when Christ comes back, then tongues will cease because He’s the one who is perfect who’ll come back. And guess what? All of those verses 8, 9, and 10 of chapter 13 are neuter in gender in the Greek.

And when you have a sentence in Greek, you have to have the verbs, the nouns, the adverbs, everything in the same gender. That’s how you connect the sentences together. They don’t have periods and comments and all the other points of explanation and grammar that we have in English. And so it’s all neuter and Christ in Greek is masculine. It comes from the Greek word Christos. The OS ending is a masculine ending. So it can’t refer to Christ and some say well it’s the love chapter.

It must refer to love. But guess what love in Greek is feminine. It cannot refer to love and it can only refer to a neuter subject and that neuter subject is the Bible and that’s what it’s talking about. So, tongues were temporary in nature. They would cease to gift of knowledge, cease to gift of prophecy and cease. They were rendered unnecessary once we had the completed Now, Paul spoke with many languages, but he was saying that he would rather than speak in those languages, he would rather speak five words in the church which people could understand than 10,000 words in an unknown language, being unknown to the hearer.

In other words, he can speak in many known languages, but if he spoke in the church where of people didn’t understand that language, then he would be wasting their time. And so he said he would rather, even though he thanked God that God had given him the ability to speak in many languages, he’d rather speak five words that they could understand than 10,000 words they couldn’t understand. You know, you can say a lot in five words. If I had my opportunity with a large audience that only had five words, I would say, trust Christ didn’t be saved.

Trust Christ didn’t be saved. What a powerful message I could bring in just five words. And that’s what Paul was saying. But the real gift has ceased. What today is happening is there’s a gibberish going on. This is done by all the world religions. It’s not biblical. The people saying what they say in gibberish don’t know what they’re saying. The people hearing them don’t know what they’re saying because it’s not a language. Nobody understands it. And it’s not from God.

The biblical gift was to speak in a known language, but not only that in the book of Acts it says they would speak the very dialect of that language. The Greek word is dialectos. that it means not only a specific language, but a specific dialect. And there’s nobody on the planet Earth today that’s speaking in the biblical gift of tongues. If you had the real gift today, you should be able to speak in German, French, Chinese, Swahili, or whatever without any training, and the purpose of which would be that you could win those people to Christ in their language.

That’s not happening. The very denominations that claim they have the gift, Guess what? They send their missionaries to language school and then they send them to the jungle or to the foreign land and then they try to teach those people the gibberish that we do back here in the States. But many times they already know the gibberish because the Buddhists speak the gibberish. The people in Islam speak the gibberish. The Mormons which are Christian, they are called speak the gibberish.

A witch in a satanic sands breaks into the gibberish. It’s all the same. There’s a common denominator here and if it were really from God, why would God give it to a medium in a satanic sands? Why would God give it to the Mormons which are not Christian at all? Why would He give it to the other world religions? He doesn’t give it to him. The real gift is gone and that is of course the answer Paul was saying that Yes, he did speak in many languages But the Corinthians were speaking in the Corinthian church in Foreign languages that the people in the church didn’t understand and he said you all need to grow up and Realize that you’re wasting everybody’s time Verse 9 says except you speak by the tongues by the tongue words easy to understand How shall we know what is spoken?

You just speak into the air. I hope that helps a little bit But thank you for that call on tongues. We have a wonderful book in our resource center called the New Testament teaching on tongues by Merle Unger and he takes each verse apart and Shows you from the Greek The meaning especially of that passage where in chapter 13 verses 8 through 10 it talks about the tongues ceasing coming to an utter halt when the New Testament record was complete, and by the way, church history bears that out.

You don’t read the early church fathers speaking about, speaking in tongues. You don’t see it during the dark ages, the middle ages. You don’t see it during the time of the Reformation, John Wesley, John, Calvin, and all the other reformers of the Martin Luther, none of them spoke in tongues. Then the great evangelists that went out to the world in the 18th century, none of those spoken times. And this modern movement which began in 1906 in Azusa Street, California is a counterfeit movement and it does not have any basis in scripture whatsoever.

Thank you for calling. I hope that helps. We now have Jimmy in Nashville, Tennessee and Jimmy, welcome to Bibleline Year on the air a lot of you uh… i don’t think you’re on the air Turn your rear wheel down. Okay. Well, now. One line. Two. Try again. Okay. uh… Okay. uh… i don’t think i was going to ask you a question okay first of all i’d say that uh… you know i agree with you know what you say about the bible one hundred percent okay uh…

the map there is uh… okay i’m not a five point calvin and i don’t believe in the almighty and uh… theology other words i’m not into calvin is the part of the election and i’m not into our meeting work you know i’ll bring people but to do the salvation what would you call me then just apart from down the middle of something like that or uh… i think you’re by the believer i think the position that you hold and i hold is is that of the by all of these other are man made positions james arminius was a man and uh…

his positions are or the positions of the arminian philosophy or followers of james arminius and and the ones that follow Calvin’s teachings are called Calvinist, but I believe that we ought to be followers of the Bible. And stick with what the Bible teaches. Okay. So in your opinion, do you think Dr. Dauchton that John MacArthur teaches you? Would you say in your opinion that his doctrine is wrong? Well he teaches Calvinism and I disagree with the five points of Calvinism as they are taught.

John MacArthur believes as Calvinism teaches that you don’t have a choice. God picks out before the foundation of the world who would be saved and who would go to hell and is with this regard not only to your works which I believe that’s true, but it’s also a disregard to believe. So if you are a Calvinist and you are saved it’s because God saved you and then you believe is a consequence But you’re not saved because you believed which is what I believe the Bible teaches You’re saved because God saves you and overcomes you and then as a result you believe is a consequence that they got it backwards Yeah, because I had a couple friends of mine that they were heavy into Calvinism the we used to go out and Down down while they’re about we could go out, you know pack pass out

You know gospel tracks and talk to people and we’ve gotten on the discussion one time I was telling them because they’re really heavy into it and I said well Well, if what you believe, I said, the fact about this, I said, what you believe is true, okay, if God only saved the elect, only had an elect people, if He only saved the elect people, why are we doing out here passing out a track then? If God already knows who He’s going to be saved and who is not going to be saved.

He said, and they said, well, the reason why the past now tracks is because we don’t know who we elect are. I’m like, well, I ain’t got to repeat that. I ain’t what we’re doing to feed the purpose of what you’re doing is true. Then what we’re doing out here, we ought to be at home doing nothing because if God knows who’s going to be saved, who don’t, then we ain’t got no business passing out tracks. I agree with you.

Actually God doesn’t know who’s going to be saved new. He’s not going to be saved, but not because He made your choice for you. So God gives everybody a choice. I mean John 360 is quite clear that God’s the love of the world. That’s all of the human race that he gave his only begotten son that who so ever? The invitation is extended to everyone that if they would believe on Christ, they would not perish, but they’d have everlasting life.

And of course the negative of that, if they don’t believe, they will perish and not have everlasting life. Yeah, that’s the time I get in discussion with them. I’ll bring them to that passage of scripture right there. And I said according to the Bible it says forgot to love the world. It doesn’t say so for You know if I was true it doesn’t say forgot for love the elect it says everyone what does everyone mean Who what does who who ever mean anybody?

You know but yeah, I’ve always just want to make sure what my stand is on that somebody ever asked me Well, you’re not counting if you’re not our meaning and who you are you’d have to get questions You stand on the scriptures. You stand on the Bible, your Bible, Bible believer. And there is that Bible position which oftentimes, during this contrary, demands invented beliefs. Thank you, Jimmy, for calling from Nashville, Tennessee. We’re now going to go to Rock in Tampa, Florida.

And Rock, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Hello, Dr. Hank. Listen, I got a quick question. I hear people all the time I’m saying holy there’s holy to have holy cow and not really knowing what they’re saying. Is that blasphemy cows are not holy? Well, you’re right and the word holy means righteous and every believer is Holy or righteous in God’s sight because of Christ’s Substitutionary death on our behalf, but I know they say holy mackerel and holy this and holy that but technically they’re not correct.

The whole of creation has been defiled by sin and obviously only those that are believers are declared holy or righteous in God’s sight. Okay thanks a lot. Thank you Rock and of course as a believer we are holy because of Christ’s substitutionary death. We have Dave in St. Petersburg again dave welcome to bible and you’re on the air uh… i’ve asked her this is for all the so-called tons and faith healers believers out there this is proof that god will not be mocked uh…

will be hold of you read the sunday’s uh… tap into the end but Good old Todd Bentley, a great retailer, Man of God, just got caught and messed around with one of the staffers and his wife was leaving him. He was actually being thrown off the board of directors of his own church. Well that’s a shame, what I said in the commentary, but I don’t believe he had the correct message to begin with and I don’t believe in the so-called miracles that he was so called performing.

But you know the truth will always last and endure, but the error will be exposed and I think that’s where we are with that. And I’m sorry for him. I hope you one day would become saved. Yeah, no. It’s possible, it’s not possible for him. I hope so. Yeah. As far as the Holy Cow goes, the Cow is holy to the Hindus. Like with another false religion. You got that right. Thank you Dave. I was Dave in St. Pete.

If you want to call in, the phone number is 1-800-576-3771. We have Sheila in Evansville, Indiana, and she leaves an off-air question and she says, what does the Bible say about a woman and how she should dress? Well, if you look at 1 Timothy chapter 2, there are several passages you could turn to. It gives us some advice there. Timothy chapter 2 it says in verse 9 in like manner also that women adorned themselves in modest apparel with shame-fastedness and sobriety not with broidered hair or gold or pearls or costly array but that which become a women professing godliness with good work.

So there you have it a woman out of dress modestly and it shouldn’t be for show or to try to steal attention but rather as it says over in 1 Peter chapter 3 it ought to be the inner person that is really seen and not the outward fixing of the hair and the makeup and all the other things. So women just ought to dress modestly. I hope that helps Sheila in Evansville, Indiana. Thank you for that question. Brian in Largo, Florida calls in with this offer question that Satan and his fallen angels occupy the bodies of dinosaurs.

And no, I do not believe so. There’s certainly no hint in scripture that it would ever give us that indication. We now have Annie in Miami, Florida, and Annie, welcome to Bible Evelyn, you were on the air. Yes, good morning, Pastor. Good morning. Yes, as it relates to your earlier explanation and first Corinthians, first chapter where Paul is addressing this letter to the saints, and in reference to chapter 6 where it talks about the list of sins that is obvious, that you say that it relates to unbelievers who not enter into the kingdom or inherit the kingdom of God.

None let’s say you’re going to say. Okay. What if my question then is when someone says that they have trusted Christ as a Savior and received him as Lord of their lives, I know obviously it’s to say that we need to change. But, and they continue in this list of sin, then how is it referenced to someone who who have stated that they do trust, Christ, receive Him as their Savior, but yet continue in these types of sins. Are they not true in their belief or in their salvation or is it that they’re not saved because of discontinuation and these lists of things that are identified?

That’s a very good question and it can be that they’re not saved at all, but in Corinthians He talks about Christians who are doing exactly those kinds of things. If you read chapter 5 of 1 Corinthians, it talks about a man who is a Christian and he’s living in fornication with his mother, probably his stepmother. And it says in verse 1 of chapter 5, it’s reported commonly that there is fornication among you and such fornication is not so much as even named among the Gentiles that one should have his father’s wife.

So here was the man living in fordication with his mother, his stepmother. And it says he’s not mourning concerning this sin, he’s not apparently he’s proud of it and openly doing it. It says in verse 5 that God doesn’t allow that to continue. It says in verse 5 to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh that The spirit may be saved. In the day of the Lord Jesus. So apparently here Satan was allowed to take this man’s life.

Maybe through some sexual disease that he contracted. Or whatever, but in any case, Satan was allowed to take his life. But it says here that when Christ comes back in the day of the Lord Jesus this man will be saved. And if you read 1 Corinthians it talks a lot about how God will deal with the delinquent Christians and he chases or disciplines them. In chapter 10, it talks about in one place where 23,000 Christians were taken home to heaven early all in one day.

God took them out and wiped them out. And if you read 1 Corinthians 11 verse 30, because of the Corinthians and continued sin in their Christian life, it says for this cause, many of you are weak and many of you are sickly and many of you are dead. But then it talks about if we would only judge our own lives. Verse 31 says, if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But in verse 32 it says, we as believers, when we are judged, the Lord disciplines or chastens us that we should not be condemned with the world.

So if you could live as you please, and God did not interfere in your life, it would prove that you were not saved. But if you genuinely saved, you’re not going to be able to live as you please. Yes, you’ll go to heaven, but you might go to heaven sooner than you planned on it. And God is definitely going to get your attention by bringing discipline upon your life. And the Bible is very clear that he does this with every believer.

Hebrews 12, 6 says, for whom the Lord loves, he chases and disciplines every son whom he receives. In Hebrews 12-8, it says, if you be without discipline, where of all of God’s children are partakers, it says you’re a bastard and not a son. In other words, it would only prove that you’re not a child of God if you could live as you please and God did not discipline you. And he does definitely get your attention if you’re a genuine believer when you step out of line and live in willful sin.

So you have to be careful. any hope that helps but that’s what go what’s going on there you cannot leave as you please God will discipline the delinquent believer and yes Christians do sin David committed murder and adultery Moses committed murder even Paul who before he became Paul Saul was there consenting to the death of Stephen the first Christian barter and we read throughout the New Testament if you read first Corinthians and second Corinthians it’s full of the stories of those Christians continuing to live in sinful practices even after they were saved and God disciplined many of them and many of them slept or went to the grave the Lord took their lives early because of their sin.

We’re now going to go to Larry in Cooper City Florida. Larry welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hi Larry. How you doing? Good. You’re on the air. Yes I like that question about I’m saved and my wife and my dog’s not saved. Someone told me that they were the… That because I’m saved, they’ll be saved too, even though they don’t really know God of Jesus. Is that true? I think I’m looking at what you say. Okay, that is not true.

And that’s because of misunderstanding of 1 Corinthians 7, where it talks about If you are in a marriage and your children and your wife are not saved, talks about how that you’re staying there in the marriage, brings about the potential for them to become saved. I’ll read the verse and you’ll see what I mean. It says, if the unbelieving husband is, for the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife and the unbelieving wife is sanctified is sanctified by the husband, else where your children are clean, but now they are holy.

It says in verse 16, for what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband, or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife. So in other words, you’re staying there with the gospel is a way of getting your wife and your children saved. But if you leave them and they’re left in an unsaved environment, chances of getting saved are lessened than they may not get saved. I’m Dr. Anglister and the day has gone so quickly.
