1-800-576-3771. Once again, we would like to thank you, the listener, for your prayers and support for Bible line ministries. God bless you. Well, good morning and welcome to Bibleline. Great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We appreciate you, our audience very, very much, and look forward to being with you daily as we come to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida, where I am the pastor.

We would love to meet you. If you ever get a chance to come by and visit our resource center during the week, if you live in the area, we’re right next to the airport here in Tampa, Florida. And if you come in from out of town and you land at the airport, take that extra minute and swing around the west side and you’ll find Bibleline headquarters at the Calvert Community Church just on the west of the Tampa International Airport.

You’re always welcome to come by on a worship day. And the third Sunday in December, we’re going to be celebrating Christmas as a church family and we’ll have a wonderful Christmas dinner. You’re invited to be my guest if you’re in the area. And so why not plan to have Christmas with Calvary Community on the 17th of December Sunday, and that’ll be the third Sunday in the month. We have a lot of wonderful things that are great for evangelism. This is a great month to evangelize your friends and family.

And we have some wonderful tracks you can place in your Christmas cards. These tracks are the best in the world. They basically will lead a person to Christ without any help from you. In other words, if a person will read it, we’ve seen a great percentage get saved just by reading the track. We had a family in our church. The husband gave a track to a man at work, one of the tracks I’m talking about. And the guy being polite at work put it in his shirt pocket and took it home and apparently he stuck it in his dresser drawer.

The story goes 13 years later, 13 years later, he’s cleaning out his dresser drawer and he finds that track his friend gave him at work 13 years earlier. He sat on the edge of his bed and read that track and got saved. Wow, what a wonderful story and it’s a true story. I tell you that family began also to come to my church as a result once he got saved 13 years after the track had been given out. You never know how you might influence someone and this is a great track because it works like this fellow just read it finally 13 years later and on the edge of his bed trusted Jesus Christ as his personal savior.

These tracks work and you might want to get some. We sell and bundles of a hundred in our resource center and they really do work. We also have the CD, how permanent is your salvation. Such a powerful tool. We’ve had thousands, I believe, trust the Lord through this, just this one CD. And we’re talking about all over the country. We had a fellow call us just a couple of weeks ago from Tennessee. Never heard of Bibleline. Never heard of this church, the Alvarie community, where I pastor here in Tampa, Florida.

And he had 15 friend’s praying for him as he went into hospital, apparently he was going to die. And one of those friends from Florida sent him the CD, how permanent is your salvation? He called the number on the CD, he said he listened to it and he got saved. And he was hoping the number would still be a working number. And he ordered 15 copies of that CD. He wanted to pay back all of his friends that had…

He prayed for him and how grateful he was that through one of them he got saved by getting that CD. He wanted every one of his friends to have a copy of that how permanent is your salvation CD. We hear these stories daily and it’s so exciting to see how God is using the resources we have as well as the broadcast in our television programs to reach the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ and people coming to know the Lord as their Savior.

We are living in the last days and one of the things that we see today, of course, is a real watered-down Christianity, a real sloppiness as concerning the Word of God and Bible study. And one of the questions that comes up is, do you have to publicly confess Christ in order to be saved? And the answer is an easy one because if you are familiar with what the Bible teaches about salvation, the Bible says salvation is by grace. That means mercy, unmerited favor.

Or you save through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2, 8 tells us this. It says in the next phrase, this salvation is not of yourself. If you had to publicly confess Christ or walk an aisle to be saved, That would be of yourself and it would be human works added to the plan of salvation that would violate God’s plan. The Bible says, by grace, by mercy, on merit and favor, are you saved through faith in Jesus Christ? And this salvation is not of yourself.

It is the gift of God. Verse 9 in Ephesians 2 says, not of works, lest any man should boast. So obviously, at first glance, it would be very straightforwardly obvious that to have to confess with your mouth with your mouth to be saved would not be a condition for salvation because we simply receive it by faith. But here’s a verse that’s often quoted. It’s in Matthew chapter 10 where it says here, and these are the words of Christ, who soever there for shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven, but whosoever shall deny me before men, will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

What is interesting here is that this verse has nothing to do with salvation. If you are a good student of the Bible, you will, according to 2 Timothy 2, 15, rightly divide the word of God. That means to set the truths of God’s word in right order. This chapter is talking about the Christian life. This chapter is talking about discipleship. This chapter is talking about witnessing. you are saved, it is not talking at all about the conditions for salvation.

You will notice in Matthew 10 Christ names his twelve disciples. Verse 5 says these twelve Jesus sent forth. And so Christ sends out his disciples and he tells them that they are going to be persecuted as they witness for Christ. And he tells them to not be fearful. He says fear not those which can kill your body but are not able to kill the soul. He’s talking about the consequences in those days of witnessing for Christ that somebody might actually kill you.

But they can only kill your body. They can’t kill your soul. Isn’t that wonderful? You know, once you’re saved, you’re saved forever. And the worst somebody could do to you to kill you would really be the best thing because you would be absent from the body. Present with the Lord forever in the Lord’s presence. Isn’t that great news? And the Lord tells us how valuable we are in his sight are not two sparrows sold for farthing and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your father.

Well I misread this verse for many years. I used to think well God is aware of everything. He’s omniscient all knowing and he knows about every sparrow that falls on the ground. But it doesn’t say that. It says here that not one of those sparrows will fall to of the ground without your father. In other words, the father is even involved in when a sparrow’s life is taken. And he is their concern about even the sparrow. And so he tells us, are you not of more value than a sparrow?

And he says the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Who’s taken the time to do that? I certainly haven’t taken the time to count the hairs of my own head or of my children. I’ve never done that, and yet the Lord has counted every hair that I have. I have less today than I used to have, but he knows exactly the number of hairs that I have on my head. He cares that much about me. He says, fear you not there for you, or of more value than many.

Sparrows and then he says who’s whoever their shall confess me before men he’ll well confess before my father which is in heaven this chapter winds up using the word reward five times he’s talking about if you will witness before men Jesus will tell the father he will confess it to the father and the father will reward you for your faithfulness and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in verse 33 if you deny Christ before men in other words you do not witness you keep your mouth.

shut. You keep your lips buttoned up. It says here, Him, will I also deny before my Father, which is in heaven. In other words, Jesus cannot say to the Father that you did anything worthy of reward if you didn’t. And so He’ll deny saying anything on your behalf that you did something that was worthy of reward. And therefore you’ll be denied reward when you stand before the Lord one day. The chapter winds up with the word reward, reward, reward, reward, which comes about by service.

Confession before men does not save you, and yet many pastors make it a condition for salvation. Let me read you a great passage in John chapter 12. There were people here in John 12 that got saved that never publicly confessed Christ. You’re kidding. No, I’m not kidding. This is right here in the Bible. I didn’t write the Bible. I’m just quoting to you what it says. Here it says in verse 42 of John’s Gospel chapter 12, nevertheless, nevertheless among the chief rulers, also many believed on Christ.

So there were many religious leaders that trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, that believed on Him. But then it goes on to say in verse 42, but because of the Pharisees, because of the Pharisees, they did not confess Him. Because of the Pharisees, they did not confess Him. Because of the Pharisees, they did not confess Him lest they should be put out of the synagogue. It says in verse 43, For they love the praise of men more than the praise of God.

My friend here, Jesus tells us there were those who were chief leaders who secretly trusted Christ, never confessed Christ, and yet they were saved. You know, Nicodemus came to Christ at midnight. Why he didn’t want to be detected, he didn’t want to be known that he’d come to Christ. And Jesus, of course, led Nicodemus to Christ in John 3. What a wonderful chapter where Jesus tells Nicodemus you have to be born again. And he tells Nicodemus how to be born again.

In John 3 16, he’s really addressing Nicodemus and he says, Nicodemus, God’s all of the world, including you. And he gave his only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ, Nicodemus, to die for your sins. That Nicodemus said, who so ever? If you would believe, if you would trust Christ as your Savior, you would not perish, but you would have everlasting life. Nicodemus apparently believed that message, and later we see him surfacing when Christ had been crucified and was there in the preparation of the burial of the body of Christ as Christ was laid in the tomb.

But Nicodemus was a secret believer, a leader among the Jews, and yet he trusted Christ but did not publicly confess Him. And here it says it again, I’ll read verse 42 of John 12 one more time. Nevertheless, among the chief priests or chief rulers, also many believed on Him. But because of the Pharisees, they did not confess Him lest they should be put out of the synagogue. And so they love the praise of men more than the praise of God.

There are many secret believers, I think that have not revealed to their spouses even that they have trusted Christ. You know, I’ve done many, many funerals over the years. And one of the most tragic things I hear is when a wife comes or a husband comes and their spouse has passed away. And I ask them, did your wife know Jesus as her Savior? And he’ll say, I really don’t know. We never really did discuss that. And I thought, how sad that the wife never confessed Christ even to her husband?

And so he didn’t know. Or the wife says, when I ask her, did your husband know Christ? And she’ll say, I don’t really know because we never really discussed that together. And so because maybe they went to church, she assumed so, but couldn’t say because she had heard that other person confess Christ. I believe every believer audicon fests Christ, but not to be saved. This has to do with rewards. I personally was a secret Christian for a whole year.

I trusted Christ as my Savior, but it was not until a year later that I opened my mouth for the first time to let people know I had trusted Christ and lead my fellow roommates. I’ll never forget that first person I talked to and he trusted Christ’s Savior. I just got an email just last week from him. He and his wife live in Atlanta today. First guy I ever led to Christ still out there. Before I graduated from the University of Florida, out of the Bible study that I had there, I had eight people go off into full-time Christian work.

Many of them are still serving in a wonderful way. Dr. Aubrey Malfers, a distinguished pastor, a pastor, and a pastor. English professor, Dallas Theological Seminary, was one of those first persons I ever led to Christ, discipled and sent out into Christian work. There he is, an distinguished professor, written numerous books and is on the faculty of Dallas Theological Seminary. Well that was just the beginning for me. Those were those days when I was just making my decision whether I would go into full-time Christian service and confess Christ the rest of my life.

But if I never confessed Christ publicly, I would still be saved. Because salvation is the gift of God. It is not of works. It’s not based upon my doing anything. It’s based upon Christ doing everything. Jesus paid it all. All to Him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain. But He washed it, as white as snow. The hymn writer wrote that. What a beautiful song. Jesus paid it all. I’d hate to sing it the way some people’s theology really would demand to be sung.

Jesus paid only part. I’ll pay part myself. Believe it or not, a lot of churches, that’s exactly their philosophy. That Christ paid for part, you pay for part. You have to kind of help Christ and work alongside of Him and by your works and good deeds, by your walking the aisle, joining the church, publicly confessing Christ, keeping the commandments, living the Christian life, By going to Mass, doing penance, going to confession, that’s all a part of being saved, and that is not true.

Jesus alone is the Savior. When you trust Him, He saves you forever. And that is got to be the best news you’ll ever hear. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bible and we invite you to call us here at Bible and at 1-800-576-377-1. 1-800-576-3771. Welcome to Bibleline. Give us a call. If you have a question, we’ll try to answer it. And if you cannot stay on the air with me, you can leave an off-air question and we’ll try to answer that as well.

We have John off the air in Warner Robins, Georgia, just called in and left this question off air. He says, a missionary told me about an experience of sharing the gospel with someone where neither person spoke the same language. Do you believe that God may use the gift of tongues in cases like this? I believe the gift of tongues has ceased, John, and is not being used today at all. But I do believe God matches people up that do speak the same language so that the gospel can get to that person.

And I have had opportunity to lead people to Christ from many different countries of the world. And God has used the fact that I can speak English and that they, although they had a different native tongue, spoke English as well and God used me to share the gospel with them. So I believe the gift of tongues or languages has ceased, but that God still can match people up. And I believe God is the great matchmaker, bringing people that are saved in contact with people that are lost, that are seeking, so that they can share the gospel with them.

We have a color in Bradenton, Florida, and we have Gary on the line, and Gary, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. How are you? Good, Gary. Call about the question I had last, I think it was Thursday or Friday, I brought up a whole a narrow situation and God heartening his heart. And I had asked you if it was a sin for Pharaoh not to let the people of Israel go and you said yes it was a sin.

And then I had asked you well if God wouldn’t have heartened Pharaoh’s heart would he have let them go and you answered yes. And to me if words have any meaning at all one can only conclude that but for God intervening i.e. the hardening of Pharaoh’s heart. Pharaoh would not have sinned. So it was God that caused Pharaoh to sin using just simple logic. And then after the phone call, a gentleman named Gene called in from the east coast of Florida.

He said, God knows what we will do. God hardens people’s heart throughout the Bible because they won’t listen because people turn to their own laws and you can’t lay blame on God. And you said, quote, you are absolutely right. and the heartening is the result of our own turning away from the truth and then the caller came back and said yes Pharaoh thought himself as a god and actions speak greater than the work, one’s work and you said that’s a good point glad you brought it up but I don’t see how that is a good point because but for god intervening Pharaoh would not had sent he would have let the people go as you have already indicated but but but the sin the sin he committed there was not the sin that would cause fair to go to hell pharaoh never had his hard

harden so that he could not trust the lord of the savior god said that he raised him up and of course he already knew pharaohs uh… hard it is this position but it says in roman’s chapter eight the chapter you brought up it says here It says, even for the same purpose have I raised the up that I might show my power in thee and it says that my name might be declared throughout all the earth and that’s what we said earlier, is that God used him for his own glory to so that the nation of Egypt would come to realize that their gods were not gods at all as each of the ten plagues were an attack upon an Egyptian god, and that they would come to know that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of Moses was the true and living

God, and that he was the God who provided redemption. And the beautiful story of redemption was made so clear throughout all of Egypt because of the Passover Lamb. And that Passover Lamb was a picture of Jesus, and it says even in 1 Corinthians 5 and 7, for even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us. So the shedding of the lamb its blood and placing it on the doorpost was a picture of personal acceptance of Christ in his shed blood as the means of our salvation.

When the angel of destruction came through Egypt at midnight that night he passed over all the homes that had applied the blood and the same is true today when you you apply the blood of Christ and trust him as your Savior. God, when he comes in judgment one day, will pass over you. So God has the right to be able to do that. And it says here, what if, verse 22 of Romans 9, what if God willing to show his wrath and to make his power known endured with much patience and long suffering, the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction.

And of course Pharaoh was exactly one of those. He was a vessel of wrath, one that was headed for hell, who obviously did not accept the God of Moses as being the true and living God, the Redeemer, the Savior, and how that God then chose to use him as a tool to not only show the error of his way, but also to show all of Egypt their need of receiving the God of Moses as Savior. So that, I believe, is what’s going on here and how he would then have mercy on those that he would have mercy.

He would harden those that he would harden. And of course, when we talk about salvation, it’s by faith. This whole chapter tells us that God’s elective plan was that he would save people. Verse 11 says, not of works. So God’s plan to elect people to be saved had nothing to do with the person’s works, but of him that calleth, in other words, he was purely based upon God’s invitation to invite them to be saved. And so when they would respond to that invitation, God would save them.

I sure do thank you, Gary, for that call and we have Darrell in St. Petersburg. Darrell, welcome to Bibleline you on the earth. Darrell? Yeah, I’m still here. you’re on the air you’re near darrell they uh… i’m ready though you’re on the air all of the air of the right now you’re on the air what do you have a question good morning mister lister of my name’s darrell i have a question about versions and uh… n i d and king james version verses or whatever the question that i have same from studying a little bit last night.

And the problem that I’m having is I looked up this excerpt that said, Lucifer and how the NIV has changed. Lucifer’s name and Isaiah to the Morning Star. Are you familiar with that? Absolutely. The NIV is not a regular translation. Okay, I agree. I was trying to show somebody. And when I looked in the strong concordance, it said in the concordance in the dictionary in the back of the concordance that the actual meaning of Lucifer meant Morning Star. and I had nowhere else to go and that’s really the only question I have for you.

That’s what I call it for. Okay. Well thank you very much. I wouldn’t lose a lot of sleep over that. That’s not one of the major objections I would have to the NIV. The major ones deal of course with our plan of salvation and how to be saved which are in the New Testament and the denial of the Trinity, the denial of hell and so many other doctrines. Acts 8, 37 is totally gone. One of the key verses in Acts that tells us what a person must do in order to be eligible to be water baptized as a believer to give testimony of how we’re cleansed of our sin by the blood of Jesus Christ.

And thank you, Darrell, for that question. And we have got to go to break because we’ve come to the end of the first half. It goes so fast, it’s hard to believe. But again, we welcome all of you that are listening to call us at our 800 number and we’ll try to get you up on the air and answer your question if we possibly can. So keep you ready to out tune right where it is. I’ll be right back after the short break and we’ll do Bibleline part two.

Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. To pledge your support for Bibleline give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Alright, I’m Dr. England Striman. I want to thank you for tuning in to Bibleline today. You the Lister are very special to us. It’s your partnership with us that enables us to do what we do because we require not only your prayers but your financial support to be able to do what God has allowed us to do here.

We’re expanded all over the world on the Internet. We are able so far to have reached 146 countries around the world. And right now, you could go to the internet at your pleasure and listen to the programs of this past month again and again and again and also our television programs are there. By the way, today is our television day. We’ve already had a couple of our presentations on television today. at 6.30 tonight. We’re on Direct TV, Channel 321 World Harvest Television.

And we’re on at seven o’clock tonight, all over the West Coast of Florida. On the Christian television network, we hope that you’ll watch those TV programs this evening. It’s Thursday. And that’s when we do most of our television. We want you to know that we have lots of things in our Resource Center that would be ideal as gifts for Christmas and would help Bible also. So you can give a gift to Bibleline by credit card or by sending it through the mail or ordering on our online bookstore there’s a place there to give a gift to Bibleline but our resources also will help Bibleline and we have as we said earlier in the program some wonderful tracks, some wonderful presentations on CD and DVD that can be used to lead a family member or a relative to Christ and we hope that you’ll take advantage and use them as tools.

Our operators are skilled in being able to answer and suggest things that would be helpful to you. Maybe there’s somebody you want to give a gift to and you might want to get one of our commentaries. This would be a good time to give someone a commentary, maybe a husband or wife who’s Bible teacher, our Sunday school teacher, or pastor that would like to get a real good commentary. This would be a good opportunity. We recommend two that we have in our Resource Center.

One is called the three-volume Jameson Possett Brown Unabridged commentary that gives you comment on every verse of the Bible. The other is a five-volume series, the Jay J. Vernon McGee series and both of those I recommend highly as a real wonderful tool in helping. In any case, please consider giving a special Christmas gift to Bibleline as we’d like to have all of our bills cleared up as we enter the year 2007. We’re going to return the stations that have been on break so keep your dial tuned right where it is.

And we’re going to do the second half of Bibleline. Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back for that break and this is Bibleline. It’s exciting to be able to be with you today. And by the way, today is Thursday and it’s our television day. We’re on tonight at 6.30 on Direct TV. on DirecTV channel 321 World Harvest Television and you’ll want to catch our program this evening at 6.30.

On the west coast of Florida, everywhere from Fort Myers to Crystal River over to Orlando, we are also on the CTN Christian network, the Christian television network. Don’t miss these programs tonight. Also, you can go to the internet and watch them as often as you will wherever you might be. By the way, we’re streaming now our Sunday morning message from Calvary Community, the message I deliver each week, and that can be seen by going to my website and clicking on the camera on the home page.

In any case, if you could consider in the month of December giving a special gift to Bible Line, that would help us to make sure that all of our bills in 2006 would be paid off, we could enter the year 2007 fresh and all caught up with all of our station bills as we I don’t get paid to be on the radio and I don’t take a salary and nor does our staff here everybody’s a volunteer but we do have to pay the stations and it is expensive and we have to trust our listeners to help us out in that area and so consider please for Christmas giving a special gift to Bible and we thank you in advance.

We have Dave up in Richmond, Virginia and Dave welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes. Good morning. Hello. Dave, you’re on the air. Yes. Hello Dr. Hank, how are you? Good. Quick comment and a question. The first comment is in regards to and I don’t know why people missed that when they read that he had an entire chapter you know where he said i do not know your god no voila your people go that’s a good point and uh…

and then you’re absolutely right that uh… pharaoh uh… as time went along god then uh… you know tighten the screws down harden his heart that’s right that’s right and uh… course over there in roman’s you know it tells us that uh… you’ll give us over to a reprobate mind uh… you know after so many times when he’s when he’s called us though I just wanted to comment on that and just expound it and my question is which leads to that in the Scofield Bible over in first Peter 1 to where it says elect according to reading the notes on that and it appears to me that You’re here to when I look over those notes in the cross rep.

So I’ll hang up and thank you very much, sir All right. Thank you again. You know back in the book of Proverbs. It says in chapter 29 in verse 1, he that being often reproved, and I think we get applied to this to Pharaoh, hardened at his neck shall suddenly be destroyed without remedy. I think that would probably fit Pharaoh very well, that he continued to harden his own heart as well as God hardening his heart here, and he would be suddenly destroyed any certainly was in the Red Sea incident.

Now first Peter, the other reference, Dave, that you brought up here in 1 Peter chapter 1 verse 2, it says here, elect according to the foreknowledge of God. And of course the order there is extremely important because it doesn’t say foreknown according to the election of God. And there would be a tremendous difference if it said that. In other words, I might know that I’m going to go to the grocery store at 3 o’clock this afternoon because I’ve planned all week long to maybe make that my shopping opportunity to go to the grocery store.

But… I would know that because I had pre-planned it and I had made my decision in advance. But God doesn’t make the decision for you. He simply foreknows the future as a natural ability of God who’s not bound by time. And so He doesn’t make His decision based upon the fact that He made the decision for you, but He simply knows the future. and Schofield has some wonderful notes and he talks about several different aspects of how the word election is used.

And these are all pretty good, but apparently, as you say, a lot of people get confused on this doctrine, but I like what Diel Moody said, the whosoever wills are the elect and the whosoever once are the non-elect. We’re going to go to Angel in Tampa, Florida, and I haven’t talked to an angel for a while, and so Angel, welcome to my one. Good morning, Pastor. Good morning. You’re on the air. Yes, I left my congregation way short back this man, and I’ve been listening to you, so I’m going to consider you my pastor.

But I’ve made a promise to Jesus to read the whole Bible. Okay. And I’m almost finished. And it’s a wonderful thing going through the Bible. And I’ll be listening to you. And the reason I want to call you is because I feel sorry for Gary from Brandon, Sarasota. I feel sorry for that moment. If he could only have a little faith, if he could only believe in that book, why doubt? And why be like Thomas? Thomas got on his knees and he knew that he was.

But so many people are there that want to challenge that book, come with doubts instead of believing. You’re doing a wonderful work man. I’m going to have that you spend to all those people from the beginning. Not like you said you spent one year like you were safe or not. That was a secret believer for a full year before I opened my mouth. And I’m so glad I did. You know I couldn’t keep my mouth quiet anymore. I just was like a fire building up inside of me.

I said, how can I keep this best news in all the world old from my friends and people I care about and how can I let them go to hell without telling them how they could go to heaven and I couldn’t keep my mouth shut. Well, Paz, I love you. I’ve met you why one time I care. I just want to look for the place because I couldn’t find it. I work in this door. I was sworn on highly unheasable and they called me fanatic.

My mom, I said Catholic, which she believe that she thinks that I’m safe. I’ve been persecuted by my own family. They call me all kind of names. But you know something, I was going to kill a man because he touched my face. I’m a Puerto Rican, proud of that. My chiseled, my Marine Army. And I told him, if you touch my face, I’ll kill you August 96. And I got enraged when he, his name is I do Islami from Pakistan.

And then I got that guy on the airport by the neck. I was trying with him. And can you believe that nobody called for the police? He didn’t charge me, he didn’t fire me. And I should have been in jail, at least going through the law. I guess because of that, I realized, God, I was so angry. And that’s my sin still. You know, I get angry easily. I mean, for me, I’m a Marine imagine, but he didn’t have found me.

And I don’t care what they call me. I’m not ashamed of my master. because i’m free i can call him a master i could be replaced and i love people i tell people love and forgive if you can love and forgive and you have you have nothing to worry about and it’s hard to love and forgive you know if you don’t have this is a man well that’s wonderful story of the lord has found you and forgiven you and and i think that i’ve been helping you a little bit and you twenty five dollars now and then i know i’m not being faithful about it and present but once i come to you the congregation because I was jumping congregations.

You know, I didn’t know what was happening, but you, you seem that you’re going straight from the Bible. Just like Woodrow Crow back to the Bible. So, because I listened to those programs, I even heard he looked younger, a person. And I also listened to everyone. I was a patient at Charles Stanley. He was preaching that time I was strangling that guy, how to get rid of anger, that habit and kind of, came to me. so i hope you understood my thing i call me angle and i would pray for you happy if i make it on that because i don’t have that much time but once i start coming to the communication out outcome you know often over the sunday uh…

merit reading in the name of you so you are your family you do it and thank you i got you a day to do that i like the gators thank you angel God bless you man. That was Angel here in Tampa, Florida. Wow, what a story. I wanted to kill a man by strangling him in the throat and the Lord spared him and found him and he’s gotten saved and what a different life. Well, we want to go to John now in Houston, Florida and John.

Welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Yeah, good morning, Pastor Hank. I hope you’re feeling well. I like to ask you a question concerning Israel. If Israel was to strike an abundance of oil in their land, and the Arab nation’s oil started to dwindle, would something like that trigger Armageddon? I don’t believe so. I don’t think that’s going to happen. I think Israel really doesn’t have oil. And they, you know, one day will oil all the oil around there.

You know the Bible says in the tribulation period, when Christ comes back, He will destroy everyone that doesn’t know the Lord as their Savior. And it talks in the prophet Micah that all these nations that are around Israel don’t know the Lord and they don’t know his word and don’t obviously follow his instructions. And so therefore when the Lord comes back he’s going to destroy them and it says all of their gain, all of their wealth will become Israel’s and Israel will finally possess all the land that got originally promised Abraham from the Euphrates River in Iraq all the way down to the Nile River in Egypt.

So one day Israel will possess all of that. But I think what we see today is what’s going to trigger off Armageddon. We know right now Iran is trying to lure Israel into war by having them come to strike against their nuclear facilities and that would be a good excuse for them then to destroy Israel. But we have a crazy situation going on over there where the religious system of Islam is actually one that wants to see America and Europe destroyed along with Israel and that’s going to wind up coming to a head and destroy the it caused Armageddon to take place which will destroy a third of the world’s population in that one battle.

Sure to thank you for that question. I hope that’s helped answer it for you. Yes, I showed it and I thank you for your ministry and you know you always say that in the program that keep looking up that Jesus is coming and that’s very true and we know that that’s not just the same but the gospel true. Amen and I think he’s coming pretty soon. I don’t send any dates down but I wouldn’t be surprise that you and I will still be alive when we hear that shout and up we go and we’ll meet the Lord in the air.

Amen. And you all best think I like to say that your ministry is really a great help in studying descriptions because there’s nothing better than Bible questions and answers. Well, I think you’re right. I had wished as a brand new believer for myself that I would have somebody to turn to like Bible ideas for many of you that listen and I didn’t know where to go and I was really struggling trying to get my own questions answered and I had a desire once I got answers to be able to share them with other people because I realized others were probably hungry for Bible answers as I was and one guy just last night said your Bible study and your prayer meeting is too short Can you lengthen it for me?

I can’t get enough. Yes. That’s the way I feel. Can’t get enough of it. Thank you and God bless you. All right. Thank you, John. And God bless you. And that was John from Eustis, Florida. And we appreciate all of you. We do have all fair questions coming in. You can go on our internet site to the radio page. And there’s a place to type in an all fair question. and all of the last few what city and what your first name is and what your question is and those get right to me fast so you can get those questions in real quickly without even tying up a uh…

phone line off the air peter in Tampa florida calls in and he says was jesus born on christmas day christmas day for many is december twenty-fifth and the answer is no uh… that is the uh… pay in day for the celebration of Bail. But in 321 AD, Constantine declared the world to be Christian and they simply kept the date and the celebration and the customs associated with it and turned it into Christ’s birthday. So, no, he wasn’t. But I’m still going to celebrate it and I’m going to be telling people about Jesus this month, perhaps more than…

You know, this is a month where more people are more likely to accept your invitation to come to church or to listen to your presentation or accept a track. This is a great opportunity to witness this month. And so take advantage as a Christian and some of the resources we have will greatly help you here at Bibleline. By the way, would you consider giving a special gift to Bibleline here in the month of December We would like to make sure all of our bills from 2006 have been paid for and we enter the new year debt-free.

So if you could send a special gift this month to Bible and that would be greatly appreciated. You can either do it by mail calling our operators, they’ll send you an envelope if you like with our dress on it, or you can give that gift directly by credit card over the phone. And some people like to give a regular gift by credit card and you can call our operators and they can set it up so it automatically every month will take out a certain amount that you determine that you would like to give to Bible and so Peter I hope that helps answer your question and again we want to thank those who pray for and give to Bible and I want to thank you in advance for your gift.

Now we’re going to go back to Gary. He’s been waiting patiently. Apparently I’m not understanding Gary’s question or he didn’t get to finish his point. But let’s go back and see what Gary has to say. Gary, welcome back to Bible on. Okay. Good morning. Dr. You’re frustrating me. Here’s why. You have told me that Pharaoh would have let the people of Israel go but for God hardening his heart. I’m assuming that I’m not I can’t say that you know categorically that that’s exactly what would have happened but From the very beginning as the other gentleman called in later after you did said that there was a whole chapter right at the very beginning Before we even talk about God’s dealing with Pharaoh that he said no to Moses.

I will not I don’t know your God And I’m not gonna let your people go. So he’s from the get goes that he wasn’t gonna do it Well, then then maybe you need to correct your answer that you told me last week that Pharaoh would have, you could, you said Pharaoh would have let him go but for God intervening. I mean you can’t have it both ways. Either God caused Pharaoh not to let the people go or God, you know, or he wouldn’t have let the people go under any scenario and then that begs the new question is why would God need to harden his heart if it was already hardened and he wouldn’t have let them go.

Do you see? see i mean yeah i’m not talking about salvation i’m talking about this specific act of god intervening to harden his heart what does that mean did it prevent ferrule from letting the people go if it did you can only come to but one conclusion and that conclusion is that god causes people to send and if you don’t like that answer then you go to the other thing that he would have not let them go anyway will that then said well why does god need a hard to miss He already hardened his own heart.

God didn’t need to intervene. Okay. Well, you posed a good question. We’ll try to let our listeners maybe come up with a good answer for you because it’s clear that the Bible says God did harden his heart. And he hardened his heart in respect of not letting the children of Israel go. He did that so that his purpose might be worked out that the Egyptian people and the world at that time would come to know that he was the true and living God.

living God. Pharaoh obviously was not a believer, apparently not going to be a believer, but already was opposed to the things of God. He was like a Hitler, really, and he was certainly a picture of the Antichrist, a man that Satan will well and empower during the tribulation period, another evil man who will never come to know God. Yet in all of his evilness, God will use him ultimately to his own glory. And so God can take, and if he can get Valam’s ass to speak, he can certainly use an atheist and agnostic person who is absolutely opposed to the purposes of God to actually ultimately bring about God’s glory.

And there have been people that have been saved through even an atheist really killing the Bible in the gospel and somebody overhearing that simply trusting Christ as their Savior. We have Catherine in Euchadne, New York, and she just calls in and asked about Mark 16 verse 17 and 18. She says please explain these will be signs no one speaks in tongues anymore. Also, why so you do not like the New King James Version? First of all, those were five gifts listed there in Mark 16 verses 17 and 18, and I believe all five of them were temporary in nature and of all ceased.

You’ll notice it says in the verse 20 of that chapter that God, as they went forth and preached the gospel everywhere, God confirmed the word with the signs that followed. So these were of a confirming nature until the New Testament record was completed. And I don’t see people today able to drink deadly poisons and survive or be bitten by deadly serpents and live and so on. So I think that all of these have ceased, the tongues, the gift of healing and so on.

All of those listed there in Mark 16 are gone, but they really did exist probably for at least 20, 30 years after Christ had gone back to heaven and were of a confirming nature until the New Testament record was complete. The New King James Version did exactly what they said they wouldn’t do and they did tamper with the text. One of the places is in Matthew 7 where it says narrow is the way that leads unto life. Well, in the New King James it translates that hard is the way.

That’s a totally different concept, Catherine, and that implies works because implies you have to do something and it’s difficult for you to get into heaven. When it says narrow is the way, it’s talking about it’s exclusively in Christ, that you don’t have lots of choices. You only have one choice. Christ said in John 14, 6, I am the way. I am the truth. I am the life. And no man can with under the Father but by me. So Christ is the only way, the exclusive way.

And so the New King James not only does that, but you know, they use the pagan symbol on the outside cover or inside on the cover page of the pagan trinity. The same symbol that’s used on rock groups like Z-Leplin and other rock groups that seem to be Satan, worshipers, kiss and so on. This is a pagan symbol. Why would they use the pagan symbol for the trinity on there. Why have they changed the text many times and don’t let you and me know what they have done?

And in some places I think they’ve changed the meaning in a wrong way as that verse in Matthew 7, 13 that I recited is an implication that salvation is by works. So I have a sheet that we can send you on the New King James and it will enlighten you on several major things where the New King James has taken away from the Bible. Thank you for calling in from Utica, New York. Want to welcome all those that are listening in some of the areas where we haven’t been.
