We’re excited to announce three classes that I’ll be offering to the spirit world, an incredible unveiling of what happens behind the scenes in the area of the dead and the spirits. And what about contacting the dead? What about soul sleep? about the fallen angels and what is their eventual fate and what happened to cause them to fall in the beginning and so on. We’ll have lots of things that we’ll be talking about. I think it’ll be fascinating. We’ll have the book of Daniel.

What an incredible book. As Daniel is able to see the future, as God shows him all the world ruling powers in advance and he names them and who are actually living today seeing some of the things that Daniel has predicted for our time. Very exciting material. You’ll love the course in the book of Daniel and then our last class will be the book of Galatians, an incredible book that just really tells us about the wonderful true gospel and how it impacts our lives and how that we obviously are left here.

Let’s share this wonderful news with others on the planet. And I think time is running out so we need to get at it. So why not consider being a student in those classes? They’ll be available to you on CD so you can get the CDs of the classes and it’ll be just like you were there in the classroom. You’re always welcome if you’re in Tampa come to come by and visit our resource center to visit and say hi and I’d love to get a chance to meet you.

We’re open to about three every day and we’d love to have you drop by and say hi. Also, we’d like to have you come by on a worship day and we worship at 10.30 on Sunday mornings, 6 p.m. Sunday evenings and we invite you to come and join us for a worship service. If you come the third Sunday of the month, we have a dinner every third Sunday. That’s always an exciting time. Make it a day. Bring your family, bring your appetite.

Come join us for morning worship at 10.30 and then stay for a wonderful dinner. There are some great cooks in our church and you’ll enjoy the meal and the fellowship. It’s a great time to sit down and get to meet one another. I’d love to have you do that. If you’re ever in Tampa, if you’re from out of town, please drop in and visit us on a third Sunday and that’s the time we get to sit down and enjoy each other’s fellowship and a great meal right after the morning service.

So come at 10.30 and stay for the dinner. We also want you to know that you can visit our website, Bibleignministries.com or .org, and you’ll find plenty to keep you busy. Many things that I’ve written, lots of different presentations of materials, our audio section, and we have our online bookstore, and you’ll want to check it all out, I’m sure, and take a look at that. We’re going to talk about the Bible this morning and then we’ll be taking your calls or 800 numbers working It’s 1-800-576-3771 1-800-576-3771 We’re going to talk about a passage in 1st Thessalonians chapter 1.

It’s interesting to me how many people wrongly divide the word of truth that they wrongly set the truths of God’s Word in wrong order. And it’s interesting how that this is a verse that is often quoted as a salvation verse. And this is verse 9 of chapter 1 where it says, for they themselves, as Paul writes about the people of Dussel and Nica, for they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had unto you and how you turn to God from idols to serve the living and true God.

Well, this verse is often made to say, which it doesn’t say, that you have to turn to God from idols to be saved, or you have to turn your life around in order to be saved. That’s not what it’s saying at all. If you read the context in the book of Acts when Paul came to Thessalonians, Acts 17, he preached the gospel there. He reasoned with them out of the Scriptures, and he took the Old Testament, and he opened and alleged that Jesus Christ was indeed the Messiah and that he must needs suffer and die and be buried and rise again from the dead.

The wonderful message of the gospel and it says many of them believed. We also find that early on in 1 Thessalonians chapter 1 that they became believers and therefore they became saved. Verse 9 of 1 Thessalonians chapter 1 is not a salvation verse, it’s a Christian life verse and is talking about what happened after they got saved and I want you to note if you have your pen here’s here’s something that is helpful. It says in verse 9 for they themselves show of us what manner of entering into we had unto you and how you turn to God from idols.

Now the next two words are important in rightly dividing the word. The two words words are to serve, to serve, to serve, to serve, to serve the living and through God. In other words, when you choose to be a disciple of Christ, when you choose to serve the Lord, then you turn from God to God for idols. But you don’t turn to be saved, you trust to be saved. The key word is trust. The Bible says, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

1631. The Greek word, pastuo, p-i-s-d-e-u-o, means best in English trust to rely upon, to put your confidence in, to rest your weight upon. So when you trust Jesus Christ as Savior, God saves you. But then in order to be a disciple, a second decision that oftentimes occurs later occurs later to make that second decision you turn to God from idols and the key word in verse 9 of 1st Thessalonians 1 is to serve, to serve, to serve. In other words there’s a difference between being saved which is what happens when we believe or trust Christ and his finished work at the cross of Calvary.

God saves us based upon what he did for us not based upon what we do for him. But after we’re saved, then we ought to become, as the people of Tesla and I could did, disciples of Christ, followers of Christ, and they turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God. They didn’t turn to be saved, they were already saved. They became saved when they trusted Christ. But then they turned to God from idols to serve.

It’s such a simple thing sometimes, you know, you wonder how can people miss it, but they’re not trained or tuned in as 2nd Timothy 2.15 tells us to do the study. To show ourselves as believers approved unto God. That occurs at the judgment of Christ when He’ll evaluate what we’ve done in service after we’ve become saved. And then He goes on to say, rightly dividing the word of truth. And that really means to set the truth of God’s word in right order.

To make a distinction between salvation and what God has done for us at Calvary. From what we do in response where we choose to serve Him. And that brings about rewards and blessings. And in order to serve Him, we turn to God from idols and from other things and sin and so on. But we don’t do that to become saved. We come just as we are. I love that hymn, just as I am I come without one plea. But that thy blood was shed for me.

I’m Dr. Inclinschram, this is by blind. I hope you’ve trusted Christ as your savior. If you’ve trusted Him, you’re saved and you’re saved forever. And there’s nothing required on your part because Jesus paid it all. But then to do as the people at Thessaloniki did, they became examples, they became disciples. They, in order to do that, turned to God from idols to serve.

First Thessalonians 1-9, the verse we use today. The phone lines are open and the phone number is 1-800-576-3771 and we’re ready to go here, Bibleline, ready to take your call. We’d love to hear from you folks up in Richmond, Virginia. We’d love to hear from you folks down in South Florida. We’d love to hear from our dear friends all over the Tampa Bay area that are listing in right now. So give us a call 1-800-576-3771. We are living in the last days.

So many things, storms, volcanoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, famines, pestilences, locust plagues. Florida had four hurricanes crisscross in this past year, and wars and rumors of wars. And the Bible is just really coming alive today for those that are reading the Bible and looking at the things that are happening in our world. It’s absolutely amazing. We, you know, think about it. When Jesus made those predictions and the other prophets spoke them, that was thousands of years ago, how could they have been so accurate as to tell us exactly what we’re seeing in our headlines?

At the same time, about the days would become violent. Jesus said, he would be against it wasn’t the days of Noah. If you read Genesis 6 and 11, it says in the earth was filled with violence. The earth was filled with violence. Have you read the paper lately? Have you listened to the news lately? That’s all we hear about, isn’t it? It’s a violent, violent world. For those that are older, they can remember the days when you didn’t even lock your door to your house.

You left your windows open. You went to sleep at night comfortably knowing that you’d be safe. Now you lock your doors. You lock your windows. You have an alarm system. Maybe you might have a dog. You might have a gun. You might have some means of protection. You have security lights. You have all kinds of things going on today because it’s not the same world anymore. Second Timothy 3, chapter 3, verse 1 says, in the last days, perilous times would come.

And I think we’re seeing all that. I think there’s no doubt about it that we’re living close to the Lord’s return. Could come this year. I’m not a date-setter, but you know he could. And what if you said he won’t? Well, if you’re wrong, you will have been risking as a believer not giving it your max. You know, this is the time I think that we ought to go all out and do the best we can to live for Christ and bring others to Christ.

Because you know, later we’ll look back and regret and say, I wish I had talked to that person. I wish I had explained this to my aunt. I wish I had told my cousin about the gospel. And then it’s too late. and heaven our opportunity is gone. Alright we’re going to go to the photo lines. We have off the air Mr. Anonymous from Tampa calls in and he says, why does the Bible say that murderers and adulterers and so on inherit the kingdom if they’re already saved?

Well salvation is a gift and the word inherit implies that fact that it’s a gift and it’s given to those that are in God’s family. And Christ gave his last will in Testament. And when he died, that Testament came into effect. And he has given us the inheritance of living with him in heaven forever and ever and ever. And every believer receives that at the moment that they believe, and yes, murderers can be saved, adulterers can be saved. And we inherit eternal life.

It’s a gift. And by the way, you become possessors of it instantly. At the moment you believe, although we’re not in heaven as yet, we are positionally seen as already in heaven. In Ephesians 2.6 it says that he has raised us up and made us to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Positionally, every believer, Ephesians 2.1, has been brought back from the dead spiritually. We’re born spiritually dead, but he says we have been quickened or made alive through Christ’s death By grace we are saved and then it tells us that we’ve been raised up and made to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus the Bible teaches us that we’re already citizens of heaven It’s interesting that the Bible tells us that and it says in Philippians 3 verse 20 our Our citizenship is in heaven.

From whence also we look for the Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ. For believers, we’ve already been saved. In God’s mind, it’s already as though we were living in heaven. We’re right now, Philippians 3.20, citizens of heaven. And we’re waiting here looking for our Savior to come and take us out of here to be with Him in heaven. That’s gotta be exciting. Alright, we’re going to go to Stephen in Clearwater Florida and Stephen welcome to Bibleline Yes, good morning, Dr.

Hank the question concerning emissae the concept of the Lord can be turned anytime It might correct and that’s what kind of means Yeah, I think the rapture is taught that it’s imminent that it could happen at any time and and I believe that that were close. Although I think we have some clues as to what to look for as we get closer and closer to it, the Bible tells us that there would be within the church age signs that the age is including the apostasy within the church.

We see this doctoral slide. It says over in 2 Timothy chapter 4 in verses 3 and 4, the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lust they shall heap to themselves teachers having ancient years and they’ll turn away their ears from the truth and be turned into fables. That’s talking about the church age and as we approach the end of it we would see this doctrinal slide and we’re seeing it everywhere. Well the thing that’s peculiar for me is that if the Lord can return at any time you keep mentoring prophecy after prophecy that comes true before His return.

For example the end gathering of the nation of Israel which was prophesied. Could have a Lord returned and rapped to church before Israel came back into the land? Then that prophecy wouldn’t have come true. Well, you’re making a good point here. But you know, these are what we’re seeing now is signs of the second coming which is seven years after the rapture. And obviously it was we see those. We know the rapture proceeds by seven years. So it’s telling us we’re rather close.

But you know, the doctrine of the imminency of Christ could certainly still have been the teaching because throughout the past 2000 years, believers were told to look for Him to come and to snatch us out. But now, at the end of this age, we’re seeing actual second coming signs, which is the event that happened seven years after we’re snatched down. You know, the Rapture Christ comes partway to upper atmosphere and shouts and up we go and meet in the air.

And then seven years later he comes all the way down physically and touches on the earth. His feet will touch on the Mount of Olives and it will split and then he’ll set up his kingdom from Jerusalem. But we’re seeing those kind of signs and I used to hear a lot of preaching that there are no signs for the rapture but I don’t believe that is really true. So maybe it’s partially imminent because we do see the Bible teaching us.

I think it’s a misunderstanding of what the imminent means. It’s a next greatest event, for example, when the prophecy about the birth of the Messiah came, that was hundreds of years before it happened. It was the next great event to take place concerning God’s plan. Yet there would be signs and things that would happen at that time to show He would come in His first coming. And I think that we would confuse the fact that He will come and nothing will stop that and that’s the next great thing on God’s plan with what could happen in a timeless way.

And that’s not true because, for example, Jesus himself prophesied that every stone would be taking down from the temple. Now, how can he be returned in the time of the apostles that his own prophecy wouldn’t have come true? That’s a very good point. And I like the clarity you bring that it is the next major event on God’s calendar. And that’s what we’re looking for as the next big event. This age will close out with the rapture and the church age will be concluded and the church will be, the bride of Christ will be caught up to meet the groom and the heir.

And then of course, the marriage will take place and Christ will come back with His bride for the thousand-year kingdom. For God bless and Shalom. Shalom to you. That was great. I like that. Stephen really brought some real clarity to that whole issue. And I like that. I’ll remember that, Stephen. Thanks a lot. Alright, the photo number here, Bibleline is 1-800-576-3771. By the way, you can get a copy of today’s radio program on CD for a gift of $5 plus shipping.

And you can get any of the programs that way all you have to do is call in after the program and you can order them. Plus a lot of my teachings are on CD now. I have 12 hours of teaching on the book of Revelation and I hear almost every week from people that have that series how much they are enjoying it and learning. I have 12 hours of teaching on the Rapture covering all the different positions, the the pre-trib, the post-trib, the mid-trib, the partial-trib, the pre-rath-trib, and all the different positions that are out there, and showing why we are pre-trib in our viewpoint based upon Scripture.

And I think you’ll enjoy that series. Also one, ten hours of teaching on how to lead a soul to Christ. That is so powerful. When we concluded on the last tenth hour of teaching, the class broke into spontaneous applause. That was really a real wonderful series and was apparently greatly appreciated by all those that took that course from me on how to lead a soul to Christ. And by the way, 12 hours of teaching on the Holy Spirit. That was a wonderful series and a lot of confusion today about the Holy Spirit.

And you might wanna get a, one of those sets you can call in after the program, our operators can send you a resource sheet or you can go to our online bookstore on our website, BibleAndMinistries.com or .org, and you’ll find all these things mentioned there, and you can order them if you’d like. The phone number here at BibleAnd100-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771, we invite you to give us a call here on BibleAnd today. Looks like all of our phones are lighted up, and we’ll go ahead now and take a color from Bel Air Florida and Jim is on the line.

Jim, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, sir, how are you today? Good. My question is, if we’re born dead spiritually, what happens to a child, a baby that dies and hasn’t been born again? It’s a great question and a lot of parents worry about that. If you have young children, you gotta be thinking about what happens if they should perish somehow. But the answer is that before the age of accountability, every child when they die goes to heaven, every child.

And even in the tsunami, all those children that were under the age of accountability, they went directly to heaven. One of the great passages that I like to point out to people is 2 Samuel, chapter 12, verse 23, where David had a son by Bathsheba. The child became ill and for those first seven days David fasted and prayed and wept and cried out to God to spare that child’s life. The child died and then David refreshed himself and asked his service to provide a meal and they asked him, why is it that you fasted and wept and cried out to God when the child was ill but now that the child is dead you have arisen and washed yourself and changed you’re clothing and are sitting now down eating a meal.

And he said, well, I couldn’t tell whether God would be gracious to me or not and spare the child. But now that the child is dead, the child will not return back to me. But David says, I will go to be with that child. And we know David went to heaven. You know, the 23rd Psalm, verse 6 says, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I will. David said, I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

So David knew he was saved and David knew he was going to heaven. And he also knew that he would see that child of his in heaven. So I believe every child before the age of accountability is under the blood. Christ died for all. And apparently, according to the Bible, everybody’s name is written in the book of life. If CLRS becomes accountable and then dies, their name is stricken from the book death. When they there’s no more opportunity for them to trust the Lord But while they’re living if they are really below the age of accountability in heaven What is that age I search for years and years and I finally found a passage that I think gives me the answer to that Jim And it’s the last verse in the book of Jonah Jonah was having a pity party.

He did I don’t think wanted none of it to be destroyed and God had a little conversation He told him that there was 120,000 apparently children under the age of accountability. He says which could not tell their left hand for their right hand. Apparently that’s when a child becomes accountable. So I think it’s fairly young, but it varies within each child because each one develops differently or not at the same rate. And so I hope I’ve answered your question.

I believe that all children go directly to heaven if they die before that age of accountability. Yes, Your Hand. Alright, it’s break time and we’re gonna go to break. And I hope you don’t change that dial. I’m Dr. Englundson, this is Bibleline. We’re gonna come right back and answer your question, so stay tuned. I’ll be right back. Oh, wait, Bibleline will be back in a moment. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771.

I’m Dr. Englundson, this is Bibleline. It’s great to be with you today. Thanks again for tuning in to the broadcast and we hope you’ll tune us in every day Monday through Friday and over the weekend you can catch us on the internet because we are on 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can be heard from anywhere in the world. Also by the way, we stream our television programs and our radio programs and they can be heard from anywhere in the world.

By the way, on Sunday mornings we webcast our morning service so you can actually join us live. As we worship on Sunday morning in the message that I deliver, if you click on the camera on the home page of our website Bibleline Ministries, if you’re there watching about eleven o’clock Sunday morning you’ll see clouds going by, you’ll hear the old rugged cross. And when I start the message, the video and audio will come up and you’ll be able to watch the worship service, the message that I bring every Sunday from Calvary community.

Hope you’ll do that. By the way, we certainly hope that you might consider giving a gift to Bible and as we close out this year, it’s not too late. You can do it by credit card over the phone and give a gift to Bible and a tax deductible gift to the Lord’s work. It’ll help*=- as we exit this year and begin a brand new year on January 1st. So, consider if you would being a partner with us and giving the Bibleline.

We’re really trying to get this message of the Gospel out and it’s expensive. It costs money and I don’t get paid. Our staff doesn’t get paid but we do have all the stations to pay and the other costs associated with the ministry. So, would you please consider maybe giving a gift and you can call. and get that gift by using your credit card if you would like. By the way also we still have those specials running if you’d like to get the 52 CDs Sunday messages for the whole year for a gift of $250 to Bible and that would be great always so you can get the $100 Christmas special still available and just call it our operators can explain that to you and we’ll be glad to ship that right out.

And we’re going to go back now to the stations that have been on break and do the second half of Bibleline and I hope you’ll be listening to the second half. If your station doesn’t carry the second half, then you can go on the internet and catch the full program and call your station and ask them if they can free up the full hour so we can be on for the full hour in your area. I’m Dr. Englunds from we’re about ready to do the second half of Bibleline so keep your radio tuned where it is or go on the internet right now by blindministries.org.

Here we go. Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576”;371. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Well right, we’re back from that break. This is Bibleline and I hope you’re enjoying the program today. We love bringing it to you. And I want to thank all of you who make it possible for us to bring it to you because you are partnered with us. You become Bible and family and you’re voting to keep the program on the air.

We get wonderful notes of encouragement from those that are listening and we have one in my hand here. This lady says, I have learned so much from this ministry and I appreciate the stand you take. Never compromising on God’s truths and expectations of us even when this information is not popular with many Christians and but you always stand firm I pray for your ministry daily and the Lord has led it upon my heart to send a monthly monthly gift love gift to Bibleline and I have been blessed by your ministry Way back when you were on a previous station Well, thank you, Tony, and many of those letters are, really, a word of encouragement to us, and we thank God for all of you, because it is your gifts that keep this program on the air.

It’s God’s plan +— he wants us to partner together. I really would. If I had the money to underwrite it totally myself, I would do it and never even mention money. But, you know, that’s not what God wants. Paul says in Philippians 4, 17, what a great verse. Look it up. He appeals to the Philippians to give. And he says, not that I desire a gift. He said, no, I’m not looking for your money. He says, but I desire fruit that may abound your account.

You know, when I got the concept of what giving was really all about, that God wants us to share in ministry and share in the rewards in heaven, that whatever gift you give to Bibleline will mean that you will share in whatever fruit this ministry bears, That is so exciting. I wish I could be back there in the days of the Apostle Paul and invest in Paul’s ministry and help support that ministry because wow can you imagine all the rewards I’d have in heaven?

Sharing what the Apostle Paul Was able to produce in the way of fruit and that that fruit would count on my account also that’s incredible You know the fact that we can share together, helping to keep the ministry going. And your gift is so appreciated and is really needed. It’s very expensive to be on the radio and the radio stations have to pay their staff and we understand all of that. But to be on the area, it costs us a great deal.

We just had a rate increase here in the Tampa Bay area and the rate increase was small, but yet it was 13,000 for this coming year. So those kind of increases mean that we have to have that much more money coming in from our listeners. So, you know, pray for us. And maybe you’d like to be a Bible-eyed partner. You can send your gift to Bible-ign by mailing it to Bible-ign at 4811 George Road in Tampa, Florida. The zip code is 33634.

I don’t get paid to be on the radio, my staff, volunteers themselves and we we just enjoy doing it but we do need the finances to be able to pay to stay on the area especially in our expansion areas we’re praying that God will raise up more helpers partners that’ll vote to keep the program on we would hate to ever have to drop an area and we need right now the Tampa Bay area is carrying the other areas because they’re not so supporting it.

So pray with us and all that will take place and we trust that God will bless. We’re on today because you have given in the past and if you’d like to be one of those givers you can call after the program. Our 800 number will be glad to recite the address or give you an envelope, send you an envelope with the address on it. You can also give a gift by credit card directly over the phone. You can order resources from us.

You might want to take a look at some of the things that we have in our resource list and also maybe look at our online books store where you can see pictures of all these things. We now have Jim I think is gone who asked about small children. I hope we answered that for him. We have now a caller from holiday Florida and this is Mimi if I’m saying that right. Welcome to Bible Ed. Hi my name is Mimi.

I’m calling from holiday. Mimi okay. I was reading in 1 Corinthians 6-9. Yes. And it says do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God. It goes on to list a bunch of things, fornicators, adulterers, idolaters, homosexual, sodomites, thieves, drunkards. Then also in 6-11 it says, And such were some of you were being a past verb, but you were watched and you were sanctified and you were justified in the name of our Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Then on the 15th verse of that same passage it says, do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make the members of a harlot? Certainly not. And on the 20th verse, it says, for you were bought at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God. It’s a wonderful passage that it tells us that even though we may have committed vile sins that when we trust Christ, we are seen by God as righteous.

And we are saved and saved forever. And now we ought to live for Christ out of appreciation and thankfulness and gratitude for what He did for us by giving His life for us at the cross. I agree, but then I feel that being born again implies just like a baby the first thing that happens when a child is born is it’s in its mother’s arms, as we are in God’s arms. And the first thing that child does is turn its head to its mother.

The very first thing, the first instinct of things, it’s a reflex. It’s an action, though. I don’t believe that our works can save us because we have motives that are not pure. They are not holy. They’re usually, no matter how much we try to deceive ourselves, looking out for our own welfare, whether it’s for to appear good or from a gain of some sort. That’s why I believe God says, of your own, your works are nothing. They’re like dirty rags.

There’s something in it for you. However, just like this passage and many others say to me in the Bible, God requires us not just to trust Him, but to move towards Him. And that is the proof. That is the means of visible sign of trust. If God isn’t a stagnant God. Well, I agree with you. And that’s how we impact others for Christ. If you are not living for Christ, and you try to witness to somebody who’s unsavory, they take your words like a grain of salt.

They don’t have any power or impact. But if you are living for Christ, and then you bring the message to somebody, they’ll listen to you because they know that you’re genuine, you’re real, and that you really are concerned. and are living for Christ ought to follow, but we don’t do that to be saved, but it gives evidence to the God knows when we believe, and the He knows we’re saved and He keeps us saved forever. But people around us are not able to see our faith except through our works.

And so our works are a powerful, powerful way of reaching out and impacting others with the gospel of Jesus Christ. if they are no works at all it didn’t no matter you’d still be safe of what or in the bible i don’t have my concordance with me after three of his god’s mercy will not be mocked you know that is that all over verses says that it says that dot dot uh… whatever you saw you’re going to reap and so if you are going to so to the flesh you’ll have the impact of those flesh things upon your life if you uh…

you know committed over you’ll have the results of that in your life and thenpecting those your idols and not got your god was true and and christians can do that and and if they do then god will they’ll suffer the loss of reward but they’ll still be safe god might even uh… take them home to have an early bitty chases or disciplines delinquent children in his family we are in here and is a gift that’s right but he just said in six nine that all of these things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

No, that’s not what it says. It says in verse 9, No, you’re not to the unrighteous. We have to stop right there. A person without Christ is unrighteous. But if you read Romans 3, 10 through 23, it says the believer is righteous. The believer would be… In other words, you are judicially declared righteous by God At the moment you believe in forever thereafter if you trust Christ as your Savior. In Genesis 15 and 6 we find Abraham believed God and it was counted in him for righteousness.

He believed but he also moved towards what God had promised. He moved towards the will of God. His works had nothing to do with his being declared righteous. He was righteous because he believed the promise of becoming Savior and in Romans 4 too it It says, what did Abraham find as concerning the works that he did? It says if he were justified by works, he would have wear of the glory but not before God, only before men. And then it quotes…

The verse that it says what say at the scripture that Abraham believed God and he was declared righteous based upon his faith, not his works. Well he could not see the land where he was going. He had not been there but he made moves towards it. But that isn’t how he was saved. The promise of his salvation came because in Genesis 15 he believed the promise of the Savior. In other words, God told him that he was going to have a child through Sarah that would ultimately be the savior of the world.

And he believed that promise and the Bible says he was made righteous. In Galatians 3 8 it says he believed the gospel message concerning Christ. And that’s how he was saved and declared righteous. Galatians chapter 3 verse 8. So Abraham though, James talks about Abraham’s life as he focuses on Abraham’s works and said that by that He was justified before men, but before God he was justified by faith, alone, apart from works. James also brings that out in James 2, 23, where he says that by his works, his faith was made betour and the scripture was fulfilled.

It said Abraham believed God and it was counted in him for righteousness. So in other words, if he were saved by his works, then the scripture would have been contradicted it, said he was made righteous based on faith alone. it was fulfilled and it showed that his work showed all along that Abraham believed especially when he was willing to offer up his only son that he’d waited a lifetime to get Abraham demonstrated everybody how great and how deep his faith in God was.

But it didn’t save you. But it didn’t save you. If he had never done that he’d still been saved. In other words eternal life has nothing to do with our works period and that’s what Romans 4 is very powerful where it says Abraham, even though he did many wonderful works, would not have any Lord before God based upon his works. He would only be justified by faith apart from works. In Romans 4 and 5 it says to the one who does not work, but believe it on him that justifies the ungodly Jesus Christ.

It says his faith in Christ is counted for righteousness and it uses Abraham as an illustration. says even as David also describes the happiness of the man under whom God imputes righteousness without works Romans 4-6. So none of them were ever saved by works, but I chose to live for Christ and it’s like we began the program today, the people at Thessalonica were saved by believing, but then they made a decision to become disciples of Christ, followers of Christ, and they turned to God from idols to serve Him.

They were saved when they trusted Him and were saved eternally. But then they turned to God from idols to serve Him. And that’s how they impacted Paul writes there in Bragg’s on them and says, they impacted that whole area of Greece by their works. But they weren’t saved by their works. They were saved by their faith in Christ. Faith without works is is dead and works without faith is dead. And what does that mean though? But what does that mean?

And James 2, 26, James explains that. He says, as the body without the spirit is dead, in the same way faith without works is dead. In other words, if I were to drop dead right now, I’d still be alive. I’d have eternal life. I’d go to heaven, I’d get a brand new body in heaven. But I could no longer demonstrate to you that I’m alive anymore in this world without my body. I need my body. And the fact that I’m able to speak to you right now, know that I’m alive on the other end of this microphone.

But in the same way, our works are like the body is in relationship to our soul and spirit. And without my works, you cannot see that I have faith. And so you need my body to see that I have life, my soul exists and is alive in the physical realm. But yet if I were to die and lose my body, I’d still be alive, not get a new body in heaven. If I don’t have any works, that doesn’t mean I I don’t have faith anymore than if I don’t have my body that it means I’m not alive.

If I don’t have works, I simply can’t display it. I can’t show it to someone else and I can’t impact another life. I was a secret believer for a whole year and I didn’t impact anybody for Jesus. But when I came out of the closet and chose to serve Him, I began immediately to lead people to Christ and ever since I’ve led thousands and thousands to Christ because I I’m using my works to open my mouth and speak and proclaim the message.

And I go out of my way to talk to people about Jesus. And as a result, I’m winning people to Christ. But if I sat back and did nothing, I’d still be saved. But I wouldn’t have rewards, and I wouldn’t have the blessing of seeing God working in my life. I sure do thank you for calling and sharing your thoughts with us, but salvation is a gift. And the unrighteous are unbelievers. The righteous are believers and that’s not impacted by anything we do.

That’s Traditionally given to us by God. We are washed. We’re justified. We’re sanctified By faith in Christ the first granted in 6 11 We move on we now have to go to John in Richmond, Virginia and John things for being patient Yes, sir. You’re on the air Okay, hey quick. I know time is fleeting There’s as there 53, 5, guarantees healing. Is it two separations? Is it two levels of salvation? I had a workshop yesterday, and I’ll hang up and just listen to the response.

All right, thank you very much. You know, Jesus, when he died, he paid for our sins in order that he might deliver us. Eventually in heaven will be healed. We’ll have a brand new body that in Revelation chapter 21 says that there won’t be any pain There won’t be any death. There won’t be any disease. There won’t be many tears What a wonderful thing it’ll be when we get our brand new bodies will be perfect But God never promises that this body would be healed in fact Paul the apostle was made sick by God on purpose second Corinthians chapter 12 to keep him humble because of the many revelations that he had seen.

Paul in 2nd Corinthians chapter 12 prays three times for healing and God said to him no three times. He said no no no and then the Lord told Paul he says you know Paul when you’re weak then I’m able to be strong in your life because you become more dependent upon me and then Paul when he understood that concept that God’s grace was sufficient and that God was not going to heal him of his illness that God had given to him to keep him humble.

Paul said, therefore I take pleasure in sickness, in distress, in necessities and persecutions for Christ’s sake. Because when I’m weak, Paul says, then I’m strong because I’m dependent upon Christ and his power and his strength becomes evident my life. Paul had some dear friends, but apparently it wasn’t God’s will for them to be healed, because Paul didn’t heal. Paul had the gift of healing, but yet to Timothy he does drink a little wine for your often stomach problems. Why didn’t he just heal Timothy’s stomach problem?

He talked about Ephraiditis being sick near into death. Why didn’t he just heal his friend Ephraiditis. It’s not always God’s will for you to be healed. In fact, we’re going to die. We’re going to get about 70 years out of this world, maybe 80 or maybe some are living longer. My dad is alive at 91 and a half. But we’re going to die. I know my dad is going to die, and his body is going to start to fail.

And then he’s going to be with the Lord, and then he’s going to get a new body. And that’s what the promises, I think, in the Bible is that we are going to be given one day a brand new body. Right now, at the moment of salvation, you are delivered from the penalty of sin and death. But the day is coming when we leave this world, that John, we’re going to get a brand new body. And so you might say that healing is there, but it’s not necessarily here in this world here.

The Bible talks about many that were sick, that could have been healed, but weren’t, because it’s not always God’s will. So we need to accept that. And like the one missionary lady that died, I mean, not died, but she was in the hospital and she was dying. And a young minister came and she says, I don’t understand this. I’ve been faithful to God all my life. I’ve given everything on the mission field to, you know, witness and live for Christ.

and I don’t understand what’s happening now. Well, here I am in the hospital and my body is failing. And he says, she said to him, do you have an answer? And he said, yes, old age. Your body, this body is gonna wear out and second cringus five talks about it, eventually dying. And then we’re gonna get a brand new body. And then we’ll be absent from the body, present with the Lord to get a brand new body in heaven.

And I hope that helps answer that question. We have, off the air, David Paul Meadow, Florida, asking about the parable of the wheat and the terrors. Well, the wheat are the Christians and the terrors are those who are claiming to be Christians and look like wheat and look like Christians but are not. And I’ll tell you, one of the best questions you can ask to determine the difference is say, can you lose your salvation? A person that says, yes, I can lose my salvation is probably not saved because they’re really saying, That they, between now and when they die, how they live their life will determine whether to save or not.

And that makes salvation based upon them. That makes them the Savior, not Christ. That it makes their salvation based upon what they’re going to do or not going to do. And that negates what happened at the cross. So I believe that those who believe you can lose it aren’t saved. And if you ask that question, you’ll find out who the tears are. The genuine believer ought to be able to say, I know I’m saved. I know I have eternal life.

I know I’m going to heaven when I die. God gives a written guarantee, Dave, in 1 John 5, 13. It says, these things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know K-A-N-O-W, not perhaps not maybe, but it says you may know that you have, have as a present tense means right now you possess eternal life. The believer possesses eternal life right now and think about it. If you have presently eternal life right now, what kind of life will you have tomorrow?

Well, he’ll still be eternal. What about next week? It’ll still be eternal. What about a hundred years of now? He’ll still be eternal. What about a million years from now? It’s still going to be eternal. If you presently possess eternal life, it’s going to be eternal tomorrow next week, next year, ten years from now, a hundred years. or God called it by the wrong name. He should have called it temporary life. I give unto you temporary life. I give unto you life unto you sin again.

No, He said I give you eternal life and you possess it, you receive it at the moment you believe. All right, we have Chris off the air in Brandon, Florida, and he says, when do the tribulation and millennial saints get judged? and what would be a good verse to put on our wedding invitations. Oh, okay. Well, the tribulation saints are going to get their resurrection bodies and be judged at the end of the tribulation. So the Old Testament saints and the tribulation saints are going to get their resurrection bodies if they die.

That is, and obviously all the Old Testament saints are dead. Their souls are with the Lord, but they don’t have their new bodies yet. They’ll get them at the end of the tribulation at the second coming. The millennial saints, we don’t know it, doesn’t say when they get their new bodies and when they’re judged for rewards. So those who become saved or enter the millennium in their mortal bodies as saved, it doesn’t say. So we just have to guess and it could be that it’ll be at the end of the millennium and it could be also at the moment that they die, it’ll just happen right then.

to say. A good verse to put on your wedding invitations. I’m not too sure exactly what you’re looking for, but you know the love chapter is a wonderful chapter. First Corinthians 13 and those first verses describe what true love is. Also, Proverbs has some wonderful verses on marriage and on getting a wife or a wife fighting a husband, I just would throw that out and if you want me to proceed further, I will, you’ll have to call me back.

We have Chris in Seminole and Chris, welcome to Bibleline. This is Mark actually. Okay, Mark, you’re in Seminole. Yeah, I was gonna just make a comment about the previous one that was talking about proving your salvation. Yeah. I heard the statement before that our faith in Christ is what justifies us before God and our works justify us before men. The works just kind of make our witness incredible and looking just to… You have to fight before man by doing good work doesn’t save us.

And then only God knows our heart and minded motives. And trying to speculate others’ motives and questioning them in front of others is really just a gossip and trying to compare yourself with others to set up. You’re absolutely right. And you know, I wonder about these others that are feeling this way, whether they’ve really ever understood the gospel or not, because if you add any work to what Christ did as a means of your salvation, the Bible says Christ will count nothing for you.

And Romans 11, six, it says, if you’re saved by grace, then it’s no more of works. Otherwise grace by definition isn’t grace. It’s not based on mercy then, because you’re earning it. And even if you were gonna purchase something and somebody says, well, I’m gonna give it to you free and you give them just a penny. Yeah, I’ve really purchased it. And oftentimes when they wanna give a like a charitable gift, but actually make it a legal transaction, they’ll give one dollar, but they’ve purchased it then.

And it becomes a legal transaction. So if a person even does one little work and says, I’m contributing this toward my salvation. They’re not going to be saved because they really bought it. And if you try to be saved by your works, you’ll go to hell. I’m warning people because I don’t want you to be lost. And we’re not splitting hairs. This is just what God says in his word about salvation. It’s not of works, but any man should boast or brag.

Yeah, I remember the verse by Paul. It says to examine yourself to see if you’re in the faith and examine others to see if they’re in the faith or to carry out others. 13, exactly. I have to run. But thanks for your call. And I’m not going to be able to do that. Transfencement Bibleline is going to have to wind it up. We’ll be on in the Tampa Bay area Saturday and Sunday.
