Anglin Sherman, this is by one. We’re going to take a look at the Bible for a few minutes and then we’ll go ahead and take our callers. We already have peopleRB lining up here to get on the air and we hope that you will also do the same. You know today in Christianity A Madison Avenue approach is being used by many to market Jesus Christ to the unsaved world. Their favorite approach is to say that what you need is a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The philosophy is that we are now dealing with baby boomers. The baby boomers have experienced broken relationships during their lives. So they say the baby boomers are looking for a relationship. It is true that a person needs a relationship with Jesus Christ, but this is a consequence of being saved. It is like saying a person needs to go to heaven and not to hell when he dies, but going to heaven is a consequence of being saved. Therefore, to tell the lost that he needs a relationship or needs to go to heaven when he dies does not solve the problem.

These consequences come only through trusting Christ as Savior. That seems to get bypassed with this modern new approach where you just ask a person to have a relationship and you forget the gospel message which is the power of God and the salvation which is the message of the death, the burial, the resurrection of Christ, the fact that Christ shed his blood in order to pay for our sins. A person must trust Jesus Christ as the one who died for their sins and was buried and rose again from the dead.

The Bible says in 1631, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. So the word believe in English, the best English translation of that is trust. upon trusting Christ as Savior. A person is born again and does, as a consequence, have a relationship with Jesus Christ. I really believe this is an approach that is not good in witnessing to the lost because of the fact that people think in terms of relationships, in terms of human relationships.

This means relationships can be broken and effort must be put forth to prevent broken relationships, applying this concept to a relationship with Jesus Christ would make salvation by works and present a salvation that could be lost. That’s contrary to scripture. Also using this approach causes confusion because the phrase relationship with Jesus Christ is misused to inquire about the Christian life of the believer. Have you ever been asked how is your relationship with Jesus Christ? Well, when someone asks me that question, I always give the answer.

It’s eternal. It’s permanent. It’s unchangeable. It couldn’t get better. It couldn’t get any worse. It’s unalterable. It’s set in concrete. Well, that question is probably asked to find out the condition of your Christian walk with the Lord. They really should say, are you in fellowship with the Lord? Your walk, your fellowship, your intimacy, etc., is changeable, but not your relationship. Once you trust Christ, my friend, you are saved forever and can never be lost. So the new birth occurs at the moment of trusting Christ.

And from that moment on, you then have a relationship with God because you are born into the family of God by the new birth. That’s what being born is all about. We’re born again is all about. When you’re born again, you’re born into the family of God. The first birth is where we’re born into the human race and we become members of the race that Adam was the first member of. And when we trust Christ, we become members of God’s family by a new birth and we become God’s sons or daughters for the first time.

And that’s a very real birth. The new birth is just as real as the flesh birth. But the new birth, the second birth, is absolutely essential to having eternal life. Jesus said, except a man be born again, he cannot. He cannot. He cannot enter the kingdom of God. John chapter 3 verse 3, except the man be born of God or born again. He cannot. He cannot enter the kingdom of God. So if you’re not born again, you’re not going to heaven.

To be born again, you must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And then he died on the cross of Calvary and paid your sin debt and full. I hope you’ve done that. But salvation is a gift. It’s not by works. But the term relationship is oftentimes applied and made to be works. I know one well-known national preacher says in his doctrinal statement that if you begin a relationship with Jesus Christ, and are pleased to continue that relationship until you die, then God is pleased to continue that relationship into eternity.

But he says, if you begin a relationship with Jesus Christ and are not pleased to continue that relationship until you die, then God will not be pleased to continue that relationship into eternity. That’s salvation by works. That’s a false gospel. That’s a false message. And yet I believe many, many, many of those that teach that you have to have a relationship with Christ are giving that impression if they don’t actually really in reality believe that. But many of them I think believe it.

They believe actually that you have to continue working with that relationship in order for it to continue into eternity. That’s salvation by works. That’s a false gospel. That’s contrary to the Bible. Scripture, and as we said as I began, this thing about having a relationship with Christ is a consequence. I’ve written a sheet, you’redatabase, downloaded off the internet, off my website, born again what happened. I listed 39 things. I stopped at 39 because it was just a nice number.

There are more than that. But 39 consequences of what happens when you become born again. Only one of those, only one of those 39 consequences is that you have a relationship with Jesus Christ. In other words, there are dozens of consequences, but you’re not saved by trying to establish a consequence or ask for a consequence or get a consequence. You are saved when you trust. T-R-U-S-T. Trust that Christ died and shed his blood, paid your sin debt and full was buried, and rose again from the dead.

This is Bible and I’m Dr. Anclinstrom. We’re going to go to the phone lines. We’ve had a number of people call some who have had to drop off already, but I hope they’ll call back and we’ll get them up. We also have offer questions. We’ll try to take and answer those. But thank you for listening today and we’re now going to go to Cindy. And Cindy is in Spring Hills Florida. Cindy, welcome to Bible Eye. Hi, Pastor. Hello, thank you.

I have a question for you. When a believer who is born again dies, it says to be absent from the body’s presence with the Lord. But then in 1st the Thessalonians, when it talks about the comforting of Christ coming and it says in the dead in Christ will rise first. Now where do we rise to? And some people refer to a rapture, but I know the word rapture is not in the Bible, but it says the taking away. So I guess my question is where do we go if we’re a believer and we die?

when the dead in Christ drives first and then those who are remaining is the last Trump when we’re going to be changed in the twinkling of the night is that all the same as the rapture like I guess I’m a little confused okay well let me just kind of talk about it for a minute okay die as a believer send to you our absent body present with the Lord most people miss verse 14 in that passage in 1 Thessalonians 4 and it says if we believe that Jesus died in rose again, of course that’s the gospel.

We’re saved and it says then it says that Jesus will bring with him those that have died. So the souls are with him but the body is spoken of as sleeping in the earth until the time of the resurrection. So what happens when Christ returns at the event of the Rapture is that the soul of the believer Who is with the Lord comes back with Christ to the upper atmosphere of the earth and their new body rises up from the earth and meets their soul in the air.

And then those that are living believers will be caught up and be transformed on the way up into their new bodies. And so we’ll have a grand meeting in the air at this event called the Rapture. rapture. So the bodies are sleeping, the bodies are coming up, but it’s the soul that is with the Lord at the moment of death and forever thereafter. Yeah, and I did just read that verse this morning, that one scripture, and I did see and I told my husband, what does that mean?

And they’ll come with the Lord, you know, he’ll pray with him. So, but then, okay, so now at the last tramp, because in second the salonians the great apostasy in chapter two where it says, let no man deceive you for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes himself and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped and sits in the temple God.

Now, when it talks about the taking away here, Jesus is going to come in the brightness of his coming will destroy I guess the anacryse exactly that at the second come like I guess I’m like the rapture really is not the second coming right no it’s not they’re two totally different events and what you have there in verse three of second the cesalonians chapter 2 is the departure of the Holy Spirit. It actually means that the Holy Spirit departing is in us, so when he goes, we go.

It really is the rapture talking about it in verse 3. I think a couple verses down it talks about he who now hinders evil in this world, the the Holy Spirit will be taken out. And that’s the departure in verse 3 that is talking about. So when the Holy Spirit goes we go and then seven years later then Christ when He comes back at His Second Coming will destroy this Antichrist has revealed right after the departure. Okay, so the last Trump is when the Lord, and I think I remember in Revelation 20, but don’t tie it to the seven trumpets of Revelation.

The last Trump is an expression. I believe that it’s really talking about the same thing you’d see back in the wilderness. When they would be moved throughout the wilderness over the 40 years in the daytime, they would follow the cloud at night, they would follow the pillar of fire, which was really the presence of the Lord. And when it was time to move out, they would signal the whole Israeli camp by a trumpet to, you know, pack your bags and break down your tent and pack up and get ready to go.

The last trumpet, a series of trumps, was the one we move out now. So they started to actually move and follow the cloud or the pillar fire at the last Trump. So it’s an expression. It doesn’t mean that you go to Revelation 9 and read about the seven trumpets and then when the last of those trumpet sounds. Because the seventh trumpet, which is the last in Revelation, is really the second coming. the rapture, we depart on an expression which means this is the Trump that says move out.

And so we move out on that trumpet is not telling us to count as succession of trumpets. Okay and we will before the rapture most likely see the revealing of the anachrist or… No, no he’ll be revealed right after we go. So it says, this departure of the Holy Spirit, and when he goes we go, that’s the Rapture. Then the man of sin, this son of tradition, will be revealed, whom the Lord will destroy seven years later with the brightness of his coming.

Oh, okay. Okay. Well, thank you so much for clarifying all that, because like I said, I recently went to a funeral and they were talking about that and, you know, the resurrection of Christ. And I had a clarified, I guess so that if other people ask me, I know I’m ready. There you go. You’ve got it right now. And of course I have some CDs where I cover these things if you want to. Oh. In fact, I have a whole I think it’s 10 hours of teaching on the course I taught called the Rapture.

And we go through all these passages very, very carefully. And so you might get, you know, a single CD that we might have on it or get the whole series. Oh good. Okay. Well, thank you. I’ll look online to do that. And the Lord bless you and have a wonderful day. And thank you for your help. Okay, Cindy. Thank you so much. That was Cindy. And that was in the Spring Hills Florida. We now have Dave in Plant City, Florida.

Dave, welcome to Bibleline. Good morning, Dr. Hank. How are you today? All right. You’re eating strawberries? Yes, sir. All right. Well, there might help sweeten them up a little bit. We finally got here so oh good They haven’t been real real sweet, but they should be getting sweeter if the weather cools off So I want to ask you you in your revelation study You made a reference That Israel has a warhead named the arrow and I was looking for that.

Do you happen to remember what? What’s that? What’s that? That is? It’s a revelation? It’s a missile called the Arrow that Israel has developed. So they’re missile technology. One of the missiles they have is called the Arrow. And I’m talking about a passage in Jeremiah 50. It talks about how that apparently Jeremiah is describing intercontinental ballistic missiles that direct warheads that absolutely don’t miss their targets. There’s none of them miss their target and they’re like arrows of a mighty expert archer.

So today we have these in a sense arrows that can be fired that will cross oceans and strike within a hundred yards of ground zero. So they’re quite remarkable arrows and they can do great devastation. I think Jeremiah is describing nuclear war of the Battle of Armageddon. Okay, I guess I didn’t pay close attention. So that’s clarifies that. Thank you. And I got a comment about what you just talked with that lady about the last Trump. Is there a scripture you used for that definition that the last Trump is that?

Because I know a lot of people confuse that with the seventh Trump. You just have to go back to read about the wilderness experience and you can find it back there. Basically, you know, they moved back and forth and all around for 40 years. They wanted in the wilderness and didn’t get anywhere. They were only 11 days’ journey from the Promised Land. And because of their disobedience, he had a monitor around it. He let them and they would have trumpets, you know, that would signal the packing up of suitcase in a sense and getting ready but when the last Trump sounded they all moved.

Okay, last week I spoke with you about a guy coming back from the dead going to heaven a lady called in about a book and yesterday y’all talked a little bit about people having after death experiences and I wanted to add a comment that I didn’t get to make last week. This guy he made comments that he saw children in heaven and all kind of things that you don’t see in the Bible. And when I hear these people immediately they tell me that it’s not real because it don’t relate to the Bible.

And like you said yesterday, we’re not supposed to contact the dead. This fellow said he went up there and saw his son. It had been shot and came back. And I just think people get a lot of mixed up. They need to pay attention that when you start contacting the dead or having after-life experiences, I believe like what you say that it’s demonic and it’s Satan fooling people and tricking people and when you’re dead you’re absent from the body and you’re present with the Lord and you’re only going to die one time.

You’re absolutely right and children that die and go to heaven will be in adult bodies. You won’t see kids running around in heaven so all of that bad information and obviously He didn’t come from a real experience with the Lord because you just don’t come back. Once you die, you’re with the Lord and God does not let you come back to visit family or anything else. So that’s just nonsense. Thank you, Dave. All right, do you have a good day and God bless you?

You too. All right, we have quite a number of more colors here. We have Benjamin and Benjamin. Welcome to Bibleline from Clearwater. Good morning, Dr. Hanks. Good morning. This is Benjamin. I have two questions for you please. One, I believe in the eternal life and I believe that we do not lose our salvation. Now can you explain to me Hebrew chapter 2 verse 3. And the second question is when Jesus comes, He’s going to bring our salvation. soul or he’s going to bring our spirit.

Thank you. And he’ll bring our soul and spirit because they are separate but yet they’re never separated from each other. On the other in Hebrews chapter 2 and verse 3, it’s not talking about loss of salvation but it’s talking about neglecting the salvation we have and how we’ll lose out on reward. the verses very carefully and it doesn’t say what will happen if we reject salvation but if we neglect it. And if you don’t serve the Lord you’re going to have no rewards in heaven.

So it’s a warning here that believers need to be diligent because the Lord is going to evaluate us one day and judge us for rewards. So hopefully that helps Benjamin and your soul and spirit are always together. So they are not the same thing, but they are always together. So when he comes back, our soul and spirit will come back and our new bodies will be given. Time for break. So we’ll go to break and we’ll come back into a second half hour Bible.

So I hope to keep your radio down to right where it is and Bibleline will be right back in a moment. Go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Alright, well it’s great to be with you today. This is Hank Lindstruven, this is Bibleline, and we’re glad to be able to be with you, and I hope you’ve enjoyed the week. This is Friday. We’ll be back again, Lord willing, on Monday.

Hope you’ll join me then. In the meantime, I hope you’ll go to the internet and check out our programs and listen to some of them over the weekend. In the Tampa Bay area, you’re able to hear 70s a week as we play the best of on Saturday and Sunday. So we’re on 10 o’clock in the morning, Eastern time, seven days a week. Go to the internet, you can catch me anytime of day, any day of the week, and you can enjoy my blind over the weekend.

Plus our television programs are there on the internet as well. Don’t forget we have that special going. It’s going to end now, so you might have to plan call in today for a gift of $50. You can get the CDs of the class we’re about to teach. We haven’t taught it yet. It’ll start this coming Tuesday and you can get all ten hours of teaching ten CDs sent to you after the class has been taught. So that’ll be at least six weeks away before you get them in your home.

But if you do that, we’ll give you the hence code so that you can actually view the classes on the internet live and during that time you’ll be able to go back and archive and watch them as often as you want. So that might be a plus for you. You might want to take advantage. That’s $100 value for a gift of just $50. So call in and our operators are standing by and they’ll be glad to assist you with that.

If you just would like to give a gift to Bible, you can also do that by credit card over the phone. And of course, I hope if you live in the area, you’ll actually come and sit in those classes will be teaching. Again, thank you for tuning into Bibleline this week and I hope you’ll pray for Bible Line and pray for myself and our staff here and pray the Lord will continue to use Bibleline in a mighty way in this year 2007.

And if you haven’t given the Bibleline, would you consider giving a gift to my mind? Because we could use your help. We are listeners supported and we couldn’t survive without the gifts of the people who listen. So that’s just the way it is and we know it’s a part of the way God works. He has Christians partner together and will share equally, I think, in the rewards that are earned. So when you’re giving… I would be a wise giver as the Bible talks about the wise steward and the wise investor giving to make sure you’re giving counts and you get the maximum reward back when you get to heaven.

We’re going to be joining the end of the station since we’ve been on break and do the second half hour of Bibleline so don’t go away and keep your radio dial tuned right where it is and we’re going to go do part two. Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. Just pick up your phone a dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, well we’re back from that break and here we are coming to you live here with Bibleline.

I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom from our studios here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor. We certainly look forward to being with you each and every day and I hope you enjoy the program and look forward to being with us every day as we come to you live out of Tampa, Florida from the studios here at the Calvary Community Church located just the block west of Tampa’s International Airport. So if you ever come into town and you fly, we’re right next to the airport.

And of course, if you drive the airport’s a big landmark. So if you can find Tampa’s International airport, you’ll be able to find us. We’re just there on the west side, a block west of the main road that borders the airport on the west. The next road over, also going north and south, is George Road and there we are at 4811 George Road. Our internet site gives you all the information. In fact, it’s already set up. So if you type in your address and hit go, it’ll actually give you instructions on how to find this and a map will appear so that you can look exactly how you would get to us from wherever you might be anywhere in the USMA.

So check that out as well. Also we hope that you’ll check out the radio and the TV programs that are there on the Internet plus the worship service on Sunday is out there for you to watch free of charge. Just go to the Internet site by the landministries.org or dot com click on the camera on the home page and that will connect you to the worship service section. And on Sunday morning if you’re watching you’ll see clouds going by, you’ll hear the old rugged cross and when I actually begin the message somewhere a little bit after 11 o’clock Then the audio and the video will come up and you’ll be actually live with us during the worship service.

But you can go back and the archive section there and watch, I think, about at least four or five different Sunday messages that we’ve delivered just recently. So keep that in mind and you can check that out. We hope that you are enjoying Bible Island. And again, if you want to give thanks to God, thank those that are praying for and giving to Bible and because they’re the ones who make this program possible. We don’t have a reserve account.

We don’t have a piggy bank. We don’t have anybody making pledges or subscribing or any of those kind of things. We basically just count on the Lord. He has raised up people just like you who enjoy the program and they are the ones who send in their gifts and that’s how Bibleline works. Maybe you’d like to be a part of all that. I believe that we need to be wise investors. You know the Bible talks about that numerous times.

And I think that means that you do your homework and find out where your money is going. And if you’re giving to a ministry where the Bible is honored, where Christ is proclaimed, where people are getting saved, and people are being challenged to serve the Lord and live for Him, and fruit is being born by that ministry. If you give to that ministry, that’s the kind of fruit you’re going to have on your account Because the Bible says we share, you know, when you invest in a ministry that’s producing fruit, the fruit of that ministry will be accruing to your account in heaven.

Well, that was one of the most exciting things I learned as a new believer. And one verse in particular really cemented it for me, it’s Philippians 4 17. Paul talked to the people at Philippi and he said, not that I desire a gift. for 17, looking up for yourself. Not that I desire a gift. I’m not a desire for a gift. This Dragonbound is the first time that the Bible actually said that over in verse 8, it says we need to look to ourselves that we lose not those things which we have worked for but that we might receive a full reward.

get only a part of the reward that you’re expecting because you’re giving to a ministry where the message is wrong. And if you do, the Bible says in 2 John, we just mentioned verse 8, but verse 11 says, if you bid them God’s speed or you support them or prove of them or lend your aid to that ministry where the message is wrong, then it says you’re going to be partaker, not of reward, but of their evil deeds. So the consequences of their evil deeds will be on your shoulder.

Can you imagine standing before the Lord and He is going to hold you accountable for being a part of evil deeds when you said, I didn’t do anything wrong. But according to the Bible, if you lend your support, you are a member readable of giving money to a ministry where the message is false, that’s going to be a negative against you. And the Bible says in 2 John verse 11, you’re going to be a partaker of their evil deeds and God warns you in 2 John 11 not to do that.

No, no, no, no, no, no, that’s not right. So the Bible says in many places, as believers, we’re to come out from among them and be separate. from any ministry that is compromised, we need to be where the truth is proclaimed. So let me encourage you to give if not to Bible and to ministries that are doctrinally sound because if you’re giving to one that is not sound, then obviously that’s a negative for you. You come out negative. It says in 2nd John verse 8, look to yourselves that we lose not those things which we have worked for, but that we might receive a full reward.

So you might only get a small part of the reward you thought you were going to get if you give incorrectly, because you’ll be giving for a negative against yourself. Well, thank you and thank you in advance for your gifts to my blind God bless all of you and we really sincerely mean that here at Bible and headquarters. We’re going to go to Ken in Clearwater, Florida. Ken, you’re on the air. Welcome to Bibleline. Yeah, good morning. I like to say again, I really a great detail.

Some of them cover some of the questions that come up frequently line too. So I know sometimes to refresh my memory you can go on there and I also like you know the repeats of the broadcast and I didn’t realize it at first but you know if you’re looking for something on there you don’t have to listen to the whole thing you can move that thing along and listen to find the part that you want to hear over and go back and listen to it and sometimes it helps me at least get it straight in my brain.

And then I say you can back me up you can run me forward you can pause me and… Right exactly the whole thing one thing I have a question on and I’ll get off Seems like I have more problems with Hebrews than any other book. I was looking at chapter 10 the other day chapter 10 verse 26 there and Scofield has a Parenthetical in front afore of it I guess that applies to 1026 rather than a previous verse, but just wondering maybe if you could go over that and Sure, I may have a dude.

Hebrews 1026 and again on my website I have a whole article dedicated to it. I very cleverly titled it Hebrews 1026. So that makes it easy for you to find it. Anyway, Hebrews 1026 is talking to Christians. The writer of Hebrews includes himself if we. So the we there includes the writer who is a Christian. He talks about willful sin. I think most sins are willful. I think people know what they’re doing and they sin. It’s really, and perhaps we’d better be translated, for though we sin willfully.

And that is a legitimate translation change. YouADVERTISEMENT you could say if or we could say though we sin willfully after that we became saved after we received the knowledge of the truth. But the key part that causes the problem is the last phrase where it says there remain no more sacrifice for sins. And the focus should be on the no more because the sacrifice that Christ made saves you forever. If you look at verse 14, it says by one sacrifice Christ has perfected us forever.

So you’re perfected forever by the one time sacrifice that Christ made. you don’t need another sacrifice, even if you sin willfully. But then the rest of the chapter goes on and talks about how God will spank the delinquent believer and how you’re going to give an account for how you’ve lived your life after you’re saved as far as reward is concerned. So the remaining part of the chapter talks about God’s discipline upon a delinquent believer and the loss of reward that a believer will suffer if they don’t live for Christ.

But if you sin willfully, you don’t need another sacrifice. We find the same truth is up in verse 17 and 18, where it says, there are sins and iniquities, well, I remember no more. Now verse 18 says, where remission of these is, that is when you trust Christ, your sins are remitted or forgiven, where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. So I have taken in my Bible the phrase, no more offering in verse 18.

I’ve taken the phrase in verse 26, no more sacrifice. I’ve circled both of them and I’ve drawn a line between the two because the thought of verse 18 is the same thought in verse 26 that even if you send willfully as a believer, there still is not another sacrifice necessary. There’s no more or additional sacrifice necessary. The one sacrifice of Christ is sufficient to save you forever. So thank you Ken for calling in and I hope that answers it.

That was a brief answer, but my sheet, my article that I saw on the website will give you further detail. That’s BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. Mary in Tampa calls in and says, if the soul comes back to get the body, what about those whom have been cremated. I think God is fully capable of finding the exact molecules if he needs to from your whole body, but I don’t even think he needs to do that. But basically a new body will rise up from the earth and that’s all you have to be concerned with.

And if you’ve been cremated, you’re still going to get a new body as a believer that will not affect your salvation. Thank you, Mary. I wouldn’t lose any sleep over that at all. Naomi in Lakeland, Florida calls in and she says, she loves your program and your teachings and has learned so much. But she’s curious as to why women should not preach or teach.

Could you explain this biblically? And the answer is yes, I can. and the answer is in Timothy. I’m turning there now and you can look at the passage with me. But in 1 Timothy chapter 2, it says in verse 11, let the woman, or let the woman, learn in silence with all subjections. Verse 12 says, I suffer or I allow not a woman to teach, not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

It’s pretty clear, pretty straightforward here, that women were not to teach. This is a word that is unique here. It means to teach the Word of God. Women in Titus are to teach, but notice the group that they’re to teach and what they’re to teach is explained in Titus chapter 2. It says in Titus 2, the aged women, Titus 2, 3, the aged women likewise that they be in behavior as become a holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things.

So there you have a definition of what they allowed to teach. And it says here in verse 4 that they may teach the young women To what? Be sober? To love their husbands? To love their children? These are all things that older women who teach younger women. To be discreet? To be chased? To be keepers at home? To be good? To be obedient to their own husbands? That the Word of God be not blaspheme. So there you have a nice long list, but it’s not saying, teach the Bible or preach.

It’s saying here that they need to be To love their children, these are all things that older women who teach younger women to be discreet, to be chased, to be keepers at home, to be good, to be obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blaspheme. So there you have a nice long list, but it’s not saying teach the Bible or preach. It’s saying here that they need to… need to teach good things that they may teach the young women to be sober.

So it’s limited to that and that’s not really to be a teacher of the word. Although I believe women can under the authority of the male leadership in a church teach Sunday school and have other teaching roles, they’re not to usurp authority over the men though. It says in verse 12, I suffer not a woman to teach. you serve authority over the man but to be in sons. There are two reasons given here, Naomi. Verse 13, one is for order.

It says Adam was first formed and then Eve. So Eve wasn’t the first one created but Adam was. So God plays the responsibility spiritually upon the man. men. And you see that throughout the Bible. God could have chosen six women apostles and six male apostles, but he chose all twelve apostles as men. All the first deacons in Acts chapter 6 were all men. You go back to the patriarchs in the Old Testament, they were all men. None of the women were given the spiritual responsibility.

Secondly, it says in verse 14 here, 1 Timothy chapter 2, Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. So here it tells us something interesting that Adam did not fall for the deception. He knew what he was doing when he took of the fruit the tree, he was not deceived. But Eve was deceived. And we learned something about that because women apparently in spiritual matters are more easily deceived. Now women are just as bright as men, I believe, and certainly very capable in almost every area.

But in spiritual matters, the Bible warns about women because they think different than men and men think never been women, that they are more likely easily deceived. You notice a number of cults have been started by women and they go by their emotions more than they do sometimes by their feelings or rather by fact. And so for example, Ellen G. White couldn’t imagine anybody being sent to hell, the loving God would never do that. So she denies hell. So the seven and the end minutes don’t believe in hell.

Thanks to LNG White. They needed to get rid of her. She’s dead of course but I mean her writings are which they follow keep the seven dead men driving their church in the ditch and you find that Mary Baker Eddie, the founder of the Christian scientists, couldn’t imagine anybody ever burning in a hell. So as a woman, her emotions taking the lead, she says, I just can’t imagine a god like that. So therefore, there is no hell. So she denies hell.

And other doctors, and women have a tendency to do that. So they’re saying, well, I just can’t imagine that that would be so. But men are more likely to say, well, the Bible says it, does say if the Lord doesn’t know, just follow what the Bible teaches. And so it doesn’t mean that men can’t go into doctrinal error either. But women have certainly been involved in that. And the Bible warns about it right here in this first book of Timothy where it says in chapter 4 to watch out for bad doctrine.

It says in verse 7 of chapter 4, refuse profane and old wives’ fables. So those are where some of the bad teaching came from was from old wives’ fables that were mixed in with Christianity. The Bible warns against that. So women are obviously very special and they play an important role in so many areas, but Titus 2 tells us what they’re the director teaching toward and the men are actually responsible for the spiritual part of the family and in the church.

Thank you very much Naomi. We’re now gonna go to Mark and Tampa. Mark is talking about in Joshua 3-3, what is in the Ark of the Covenant? How should we honor this today? Well the Ark of the Covenant is no longer around. You might remember the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark talking about findings supposedly. Of course it’s all fiction, the Ark of the Covenant. But the Ark of course was a piece of furniture that held the Scriptures. And we know that the movie of course had associated incredible powers by it, and of course, supposedly Hitler wanted to get his hand on it so he could rule the world if he had the Ark of the Covenant and his powers.

But we don’t even have to worry about the Ark of the Covenant today, it’s not around. There is the true one in heaven, but we’ll have to wait until we get to heaven to see that. The Ark of the Covenant doesn’t exist today or if it does, nobody knows exactly where it’s at. So thank you, Mark, and I hope that helps a little bit in answering that question. We have a second mark in Tampa. I don’t know if it’s the same one or not, but he calls in and leaves this question, does the book of Revelation take place during the tribulation?

Because I can’t find the beginning of the Rapture. The answer is chapter 4 verse 1 is a picture of the Rapture Mark. John sees a door open in heaven. He hears a voice that is of course Christ and the voice says come up hither. That’s the Rapture. And from that point on the church is no longer mentioned in the book of Revelation. You’ll notice chapters 2 and 3 are specific messages to the church. in chapter 4 verse 1 the church is caught up and then the tribulation period is underway.

So chapter 4 verse 1 through chapter 19 of the book of Revelation are a commentary on the seven years of tribulation. Chapter 20 of the book of Revelation you have the second coming actually at the end of chapter 19 and in chapter 20 you have the millennium, the thousand year reign, it’s in chapter 21 and 22 you have eternity. So that’s kind of a brief outline of Revelation, but the rapture starts in chapter 4 verse 1. Mark, thank you for calling.

Excuse me, Jose in Tampa calls in and leaves this question. For those worried about retirement, can you over what you get in heaven once you’re saved and the verses. Well, Jose, one of those things is a mansion. We have a home in heaven all paid for, all ready to go for it, ready for us to move into. John 14 verses 1 through 6 are great. It says there that in my Father’s house are many mansions. And if it weren’t so, Christ said, I would have told you.

But I go to prepare a place for you that where I am there you may be also. And if I go and prepare a place for you all, come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. And that’s of course talking about our home in heaven. It’s ready to go and I’m excited about that so you don’t have to worry about that. We also have promised a new body. In 2 Corinthians 5, 1 through 8 in particular, it talks about a new body that’s so been made by God Himself for us waiting for us.

So we as believers can look forward to a brand new body. In Revelation 20, in verses 5 and on, it talks about there will be no more tears, no more sorrow, no more sickness, no more disease, no more death. So all of those things will be passed away, many, many wonderful things ahead for the believer. So Hosea, I hope that helps answer that for you.
