I taught 11 years for the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. And I have about 40 different series of 10 to 12 hours of teaching on many subjects. Maybe they would help you. And we hope that you’ll take advantage. You can go on our online bookstore and order them. Or you can call our operators and ask what we have. Or they can send you a resource sheet that will list the items that we have here available available for you. And of course we recommend the old Scofield reference Bible.

And you know that is such a marvelous Bible because the notes are geared to doctrine. They’ll help you so much. He was inquiring about the Trinity. One of the things that’s so helpful is the Schofield notes in letting you know that when the translators translated to King James Bible, they took the word capital G, little O little D, to use to let us know that the Hebrew word in the Old Testament was Elohim. Elohim, E-L-O-H-I-M, is the word that Jesus is.

the office of God, and it is plural. And plural in Hebrew is three or more. There we have certainly the concept of a triune God mentioned right there in Genesis 1-1 where it says, in the beginning, Elohim. So here we have God as a plurality, the eternal Father, the eternal Son, the eternal Holy Spirit all coexisting at the same time, and yet there is only one God. Each one is God. And yet, when you see in the Old Testament the word God in all capital, capital G, capital O capital D, have you noticed that?

That comes from God’s personal name, which is the four consonants in Hebrew, which are translated today, either as Jehovah or Yahweh. Nobody is really sure how to pronounce God’s name, but those are the two ways that people pronounce those four consonants, YHWH. And the most modern way of pronouncing that is by taking two vowels and putting YHWHH, and that would be pronounced Yahweh. How many of you have heard that pronunciation? Raise your hand. Okay, I see a lot of you.

Right, Yahweh comes from the Four Consonants and in your English King James, God and all capitals, and Lord and all capitals, capital L, capital R, capital D, and God, capital G, capital O, capital D. Both are equivalent and come from God’s personal name, Yahweh or Jehovah. have Lord in small letters, capital L, little O, little R, little D, that comes from the Hebrew word, adonoi. And adonoi is a word of respect. It means sir. It also means master or Lord as in Lord over you as an employer or a master if you’re a slave.

And God is, of course, the one who is king and Lord over all in this universe. And so that’s a little bit of a help, but it is quite interesting. These words also help us get the meaning that there is a triune God. Want to talk a little bit today about one of the contemporary terms that is used, not so much as it used to be, but is also a false gospel. And that is to ask somebody to commit their life to Christ to be saved.

You know, that’s nowhere in the Bible, nowhere in the Bible, nowhere in the Bible. And yet for many years I used to hear that as one of the most common ones. It’s amazing how Christianity shifts around because now there are new popular ones and they’re not the same old ones. commit your life, notice there, that it’s really all about works. And the focus is on what? Commit what? Your life. In other words, how are you going to live your life?

If you commit that to Christ, they say you’ll be saved. That’s works. I knew there was something wrong with that as a new believer. And I remember one night I couldn’t sleep and I got up and I went into the closet and turn on the closet light and set on the floor in the closet and was reading. And the Lord showed me from Matthew 22 the subtlety of this whole invitation to invite someone to commit their life to Christ to be saved.

I was reading here and here is a lawyer that comes and asks Christ a question, tempting him in Matthew 22. And he says in verse 36 here, Master, what is the great commandment in the law? In verse 37, Jesus said in him, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind. Now what is interesting is that many use the phrase commit your life but also they say commit your total emotion, will and intellect to Christ.

And all of a sudden it was like I saw the connection. You know love is a commitment. Here it says, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart that’s comparable to your emotions, and then with all your soul that’s comparable to your will, and with all your mind that’s comparable to your intellect. So really, this is a subtle way of saying, keep the first commandment. Not in verse 38 here in Matthew 22, Christ says, this is the first and great commandment.

Now, what is interesting here is that most people would never tell the lost person, keep the commandments or keep the first commandment to be saved. Because there are so many scriptures that say nobody’s ever been able to be saved by keeping the commandments. It says it everywhere almost. In fact, in Galatians 2, 16, it’s a tough verse, but I memorize this as a brand new believer, and it was a challenge to me to memorize it because it’s lengthy, but I’m going to quote it right now.

My Bible is not open to it, and it says, knowing, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. Even we have believed in Jesus Christ that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, for by the works of the law shall no flesh, shall no flesh be justified. Not one person, not one soul, not one individual will ever be justified by the law.

But we’re justified by faith in Jesus Christ. I could still quote that and I learned that verse many, many years ago. And I’m so glad that I started memorizing scripture early on in my Christian life. Well this is one of those commandments that the Bible says cannot save you. Here Jesus said when he was asked what is the great commandment in the law, he says thou shalt love the Lord thy gone. That is a commitment when you love someone, you commit to them and it says thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart.

your emotion with all your soul, that’s your will, with all your mind, that’s your intellect. And so many organizations use this phrase. I think it’s still in the Four Spiritual Flaws. If you use that track, I think it is called the Four Spiritual Laws, but that’s a terrible witnessing tool. And it says that you must commit your life to Christ. That’s terrible. And it’s certainly not the gospel. It’s actually a subtle way the devil has got people to say, keep the first commandment, and you’ll be saved when the Bible says we know that a man is not justified by the commandments by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ.

You know, isn’t the devil a clever devil? He is able to twist the words around a little bit, and so Christians, it goes right over their head, they don’t even realize that they’ve fallen into Satan’s hands and have begun to teach a works for salvation message by adding, uh, keeping the law or keeping at least the first commandment, which is all of the law summed up in one. If you keep that commandment, suppose you’ll be safe, that is not true.

That is a false gospel and amazing to me to see that as a young believer. You know, I graduated from the University of Florida in electrical engineering. And for me, always A plus B had the equal C. And it never made sense to me many things I would hear in church that were so disconnected from the Bible and didn’t end up. And that just really caused me a lot of problems. I said, how can this happen? I know in my field of study in engineering, you can’t do that.

Two Two plus two is four in Russia, in Europe, in Africa, in Australia, in South America, North America, not our space. Two plus two is four. But you know, as an analogy, you can go to some churches and they might say two plus two is five and people will say, Amen. Hallelujah. Preach it. Another church right down the street might say two plus two is seven and they’ll say, Hallelujah, Amen. All right, praise God and so on and so on.

And you say, how can that happen? In the area of churches and religion, it seems like they can say anything and it doesn’t have to be connected to truth. What we’re saying here at Bibleline is you need to go back to the Bible and see what the scriptures teach. And it says in Isaiah 8, 20, if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. That’s right. No light in them. You need to be careful that you don’t accept a message that’s not able to be supported by Scripture.

Many, many people need to be saying, chapter and verse please show me where that is in the Bible and I’ll believe it. But they can’t show you a verse that says commit your life to Christ to be saved. There’s nowhere in the Bible that it says that. And yet you’ll hear preachers say that and many other phrases. that people will use that are not the gospel. To be saved, you must trust Christ. That he died, shed his blood, and paid your sin debt on the cross in full.

Was buried and rose again from the dead. And when you trust Christ as your only hope of heaven, God saves you. I’m Dr. Englund from This is Bibleline. Thank you for tuning in today. We’re going to go ahead and start taking colors. and we’ve got lots of offer questions we’ll try to answer as well we have Joan in Tampa Florida and Joan welcome to my one year oh doctor I don’t I’ve got three quick questions and I’d like to ask them and then hang up and let you answer first and Jeremiah 23 three the whole chapters on speak the pastors that destroy and scatter sheep is that include the pastor’s today the P.G.

you should bind evil spirits like Paul didn’t act 16 and also Paul at the end of his apostleship couldn’t even heal Timothy But all these healing people out there and he he couldn’t even heal Timothy or trophy So I don’t know about that in prayer calls What would you? Expound on those now hang up all right. Well sure do that you know in Jeremiah chapter 23 It’s interesting, yes, if it applies to the preachers today, it sure does. And you’ll see that right in this chapter where it actually tells us, this was written for our learning, and it says in verse 20, that in the latter days you shall consider it perfectly.

Joan, we’re in the latter days. We’re right there now. The Jewish people are back in the state of Israel and the Bible describes it as the latter days. And so here it tells us that the Lord has given us this so that in the latter days in which we are living now we will be able to consider this perfectly and realize that there are a lot of preachers that are preaching the imagination of their own heart as it says in this chapter and they are not preaching his word.

He tells us that a true preacher Let him speak my word faithfully. And so the false teacher will teach whatever they dream up in their head. And God says he’s against them, he’s angry with them, and he’s going to judge them. But the miracle gifts are gone, they were temporary in nature. And so forget the prayer clause, forget the healing today. God can heal. believe in divine healing, but I don’t believe in divine healers. If they could, why don’t they come to town and go right to the hospitals and empty them out room by room, bed by bed, floor by floor.

Wouldn’t that be wonderful if some healer would come into town and go ahead and visit all the hospitals in Tampa or in your city, wherever you might be listening to this program. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? Boy, that would get some headlines, wouldn’t it? But they can’t do that. They can’t heal it all. This is all a charade today, and people are unfortunately falling for it. We had a lady here from our church. Her son told her not to go visit the Benny Henn meeting that was coming to town.

She went anyway and being slain in the Spirit, which is unscriptural, in that meeting fell against the side of the pew, broke her arm between her elbow and her shoulder. She was screaming in pain. They told her to shut up and they dragged her out of the meeting. You know, if I was there, I would have dragged her forward. I would say, you have broken her arm, you heal it. But they couldn’t heal her. And she has been months and months in recuperate.

That’s a bad break. One to recover. I have another fellow in my church similarly, one to one of those meetings, fell back being slain in the spirit against the edge of the pew has permanent back injuries. And he can give testimony that he wasn’t healed, but he was hurt. He was injured. They don’t tell you about all those that get hurt in these meetings. They get injured in these meetings. They never tell you about that on TV. But there’s a lot of people go to those meetings that come out injured and hurt and you never get to hear about it.

But I’ve got several right here in my own church that have been hurt by these so-called healers today. Anyway, we thank you, Joan, for calling in and we apologize if you got dropped. I thought I heard you say you were going to hang up. and listen on the air. So maybe that’s what happened to you. Anyway, we have Benjamin in Clearwater and Benjamin, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. We’ve wanted it behind. Yes, you’re there. I’m talking to you.

No, listen to the radio. That’s going to really cause you a serious… You might have to go ahead and get medical treatment. There were 20 second delay on the radio. So if you listen to the radio, you’ll have to wait 20 seconds for everything I say to on the phone? Listen, I have two questions please in Roman 1 and 2 I see a day to service. One look like it’s a spiritual service and another one would like to know the second question is to who Paul is talking when he say present our body in a life sacral our spirit or talk who is the one support to present the body sacrifice will you please can you send that to me thank you only yeah he’s talking there about you the real you if you want to call it you your soul to present your body living sacrifice and this is to people that are saved

he’s talking to believers there and notice he’s talking to people he calls brethren if you are a believer, then you have become born again in the family of God, and you have then become one of the brothers or sisters in the family of God. As every believer is then placed in the God’s family and becomes sons or daughters of God, and God becomes their father for the first time. And he says he pleads with us based upon the mercies of God, in view of chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 in Romans where he tells us about God’s wonderful mercy and his grace.

In view of that we are, because we’re saved forever based upon his grace, not a pasted upon our works. Romans 11, 6 goes on to say, if you’re saved by grace, then it’s no more of works. Otherwise grace isn’t grace. By definition you violate the meaning of the word grace if you had any works. There are many churches that do that and they say that grace is to be earned or grace is somehow deserved if you are faithful. Grace has nothing to do with works.

It says in Romans 11, 6, if you are saved by grace, then it is no more of works. Otherwise, by definition, grace isn’t grace. And so he tells us that we ought to live for Christ. And it goes on in the verse 2 to say this is your reasonable service. It’s only reasonable at the end of verse 1 there in chapter 12 that you would serve the Lord if you have accepted the salvation that He purchased by giving His life for us and dying and shedding His blood that you would give your life to be sacrificed to live for His glory.

And so this is a way to believer can earn rewards. Benjamin, thank you for that call and I hope that helps. We have Kyle down in Sarasota, Florida and Kyle, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hey, God, great to hear from you. I got a question. I was talking to a friend about how Luther forgot to cast out of the kingdom of God or the first heaven. But he still had access to the second and third heaven. He said he never heard about that being in and Bible and I could find that yeah it’s in there and I think Paul was the one that went up and he asked me to give him the scripture and I think it’s second Corinthians 12th too and then when I was re I hadn’t given him this but I was rereading it and then I started touching my head thinking that

Paul says he knows a man or was it Paul could you explain? yeah he’s minding humble there and he’s talking about himself and how that fourteen years earlier uh… this incident to play some of the book of acts is apparently when he went to the city of listra and there they stoned him Apparently, they thought he was dead because they dragged his body out on the garbage dump heap outside the city. But then Paul, I think, is resurrected from the dead there because the next day he moves on to the next city.

If you and I were stoned, even if we hadn’t died, we’d become a blessing probably in a hospital for maybe half a year or a year to recover from all those wounds. But he was miraculously restored back to health and brought back to life. But during that incident, he’s telling us that God caught him up into heaven itself called the Third Heaven. The first heaven being the atmosphere around the earth, the second heaven being the visible heavens that we see with the telescopes, and then the third heaven being the heaven itself where God himself resides.

So Paul is telling us that he’s the one himself that did that. And if you go back 14 years earlier from that writing by Paul and Corinthians, it was probably right there. Let’s read that story in chapter 14 of Acts. That’s amazing how much I learned from you. I hear all these other preachers, but none of them teach like you. You make it so clear. And I thank God for you. Well, thank you, Kyle. We’re going to come up on our break now.

If you want to ask anymore, you’re going to probably have to hold over it. I do come with a thanks. Have a good weekend. God bless you. Thank you so much. And again, that was Kyle down in Sarasota. We’re going to take a break and come back and do a second half hour of Bibleline. So don’t go away. Stay right here. And we’ll be back in just a couple of moments to do the second half hour of Bibleline. Go away.

Bibleline will be back in a moment to pledge your support for Bibleline. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom, and this is my blindness great to be with you. We sure enjoy being with you. This is Friday, and we will be on the air in the Tampa Bay area, Saturday and Sunday as we play the best of. And some of the other stations give us a bonus broadcast over the weekend. So you might check with your local station.

But otherwise, you can listen to us all weekend long on the internet, because there were there 24 hours a day, seven days a week and we hope that you’ll take advantage of the internet. BibleLineMinistries.org or .com is where you go BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. Please take advantage of that and also we hope that you’ll take a look at our online bookstore. We hope that you’ll take advantage of the many other things that we have on the website. A lot of people call us and say, I just saw some new things on there.

Well, they’re not brand new, but those are things that maybe you haven’t discovered before. There’s a lot on there. You can actually turn to the scriptures and scroll down and read it, but you could also have it read to you. Well, you do that. I love that. We have five different voices there you can choose from. The one that you find is most pleasant to listen to. You can have them read the Bible to you. I love to read it and have it read to me at the same time.

and it seems like you’re getting the information through two of your senses through your eye gate and through your ear gate all at one time. I think it doubles up the and reinforces what you’re taking in. So you might want to try that. We have that available on our website along with many many other things. Would you consider giving a gift to Bible and we could use your help? We have pushed ourselves right out to the limit because we want to reach his many people on the planet as we can with the gospel.

If you find this program is a blessing to you. Would you help bless someone else by seeing that we’re able to not only be on where you are listening, but also to help us expand further so that others might enjoy Bibleline. You can send a gift by mail to Bibleline. and if you call the 800 number we’ll be glad to recite that address or send you number with it printed on it and also you can give a gift by credit card over the phone.

Also if you order any of the resources from Bible and we will get a portion of that of course will help Bibleline as well and we have so many CDs and DVDs and teaching tools a lot of people have Bible studies and they use my teachings as a catalyst, as a way of getting it going. The book of Revelation has been used for many Bible cities across America. You might want to try that, play a portion of my study, and then let them have group discussion.

We’re going to go and do Bible in Part 2 right now. Hold on to your radio. We’ll be right back in one second. Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back for that break and this is Bible and I’m Dr. Englundstrom and this is Bibleline coming to you from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church.

And by the way, we’re located right next. next to Tampa’s International Airport. If you can find Tampa’s International Airport, you can find us. But if you can’t find Tampa’s International Airport, maybe you better stay home. I don’t know. It’s such a big target. Everybody could find it. All the major highways come right to the airport and we’re nestled in right there on the west side about one block directly west of the main north-south runway. I feel like we’re so close that I could reach out sometimes and slap those airplanes.

And so I’m really saying this so that you’ll get an idea that if you get more than a block or so away from the airport, something’s going wrong and you’re not going to find us. We’re right next to the airport. So hug the airport on the west and we’re on the street that runs north and south paralleling the road that borders the airport. We’re just a block west on George Road and we’re about directly west of the Tampa airport.

Come on by and say hi you can come by on a Sunday. This Sunday you can come at 9.15 and enjoy our morning adult study. We have other classes for children and for adults. You can also come at 10.30 and join us for the morning worship service and of course we have a Sunday evening service as well at 6 p.m. So you’re welcome to come and join us for those or come by during the week and visit our Resource Center open Monday through Friday from about 8.30 till 4.30 in the afternoon.

Check out our website. We’ve got so much there and you can keep in constant touch with Bible line through the website BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. Also, would you consider we are totally listeners supported. Would you consider giving a gift for this month to Bibleline? You can do it by sending it by mail and our operators will be glad to tell you what that address is if you want to have them slowly recite it for you or they’ll send you an envelope if you’d like with our address printed on it and or you can give a gift by credit card over the phone and that would help Bibleline not only to be able to stay on the air where you are listing but also help us to expand to other areas.

By the way, you that are listening on radio are the eyes and ears for us. If a broadcast doesn’t get aired or you have difficulty with a broadcast on your station, let us know because otherwise we don’t know unless our listeners let us know. We appreciate that call and say, hey, we didn’t hear Bibleline yesterday for whatever reason and let us know and maybe we can investigate and find out why. So let us know and be our eyes and ears wherever you might be listening to Bible Island and help us out in that regard.

We are going to go ahead and catch some offer questions and then catch these people that are waiting on line to go on live with us. And let’s see here. We attend Bob and Clearwater. It says we attend a big church, five to six thousand people. the pastor is teaching the baptism of the Holy Spirit in tongues and is keeping people after the service to help them with their tongues. Is my wife and I missing something? Yes, you are missing the truth.

Tongues ceased 2,000 years ago. There’s nobody speaking in tongues today. They’re speaking a gibberish, which all babies do, by the way, they gibber gibber gibber gibber gibber gibber. I have a granddaughter and she can go gibber gibber gibber to me, and I can almost repeat some of that, and it’s not a language, although I’m sure she’s trying to say something, but who knows what she’s saying. In any case, tons of ceased. First Corinthians 13, verses 8 through 10, say they would cease when the New Testament record was complete.

I have people all the time want to debate that. I have a letter in my hand right now. In fact, where this fellow says, when that which is perfect, he says, that’s Jesus. Well, that is not Jesus. If you are aware of this, I don’t know, but in the Greek, there are gender endings for every verb, adverb, noun, and so on. And so this is all neuter. And it must refer to a neuter subject. Jesus in Greek is masculine.

Christos is the Greek word and the OS ending lets us know that this is not a word. masculine. You know the word theos, the OS ending, lets us know that God, the word for God, theos in the Greek is masculine. But some say, well it’s love, it’s the love chapter 1 Corinthians 13. Love in Greek is feminine, it can’t refer to love either. The Bible is called out which is perfect and James 125 written before 1 Corinthians. In Psalms it says the law of the Lord, that’s the word of God, is perfect, converting the soul, making wise the simple.

The Bible is that which is perfect and when the New Testament record is complete, tongues ended. Study Church history and nobody spoke in tongues apparently after the first century. The early church fathers who wrote prolifically to each other and there’s tons of writings and quotes from the Bible, but none of them apparently spoke in tongues. was gone. Right on through the Dark Ages, nobody talked about speaking in tongues. During the Reformation, none of the Reformers, Martin Luther, didn’t speak in tongues, John Wesley didn’t speak in tongues, John Calvin didn’t speak in tongues, Swindly didn’t speak in tongues, and so on and so on and so on.

Then, as of late, the great evangelist of the early past century, Billy Sundey and D.L. Moody, none of them spoke in tongues, but this modern movement of gibberish is not of God at all. And so that’s a tip off. But let me just tell you this. I find that where people do the gibberish, if you ask them the question, can you lose your salvation, they’re always going to say yes. And guess what? That is a major, major, major, major problem.

Why? Because you’re not saved if you believe you can lose it because obviously you don’t have it. Let me say this. If you’re not saved forever, not saved. And if you say you can lose it, then you’re telling me that how you live your life between now and death will determine whether you’re saved or not. That’s works. If you tell me, and then I usually ask him, I usually say, let me see if I got this straight. You’re telling me that if I live the Christian life faithfully until I die, I’ll go to heaven.

Is that right? Oh yeah, that’s right. That’s right. And then I ask if you, you’re saying, Let me see if I get this right, that if I somehow, during my Christian life backslide and stop serving Christ and die, I’d go to hell. Is that right? Yeah, that’s right. That’s right. Then I said, stop and think for a minute. You’re telling me that what I do between now and death determines my salvation. That’s works. And I tell them they’re not saved at all.

I remember one young man. I told that to you and I said, you’re not saved. And he said, yes, I am. I said, no, you’re not. He said, yes, I am. I said, no, you’re not. I said, the reason why you’re not saved is because you’re trusting in your works. He said, no, I’m not. I said, yes, you are. He said, no, I’m not. I said, yes, you are. And then a diagram decided on paper for him and he just got silent.

He realized that yes, indeed, he was saying without even connecting the dots that how he lived his life ultimately determined his salvation. That means he was the Savior, not Christ. So those churches that believe that you can lose your salvation, those people are generally not saved at all. They may have gotten saved and then got into bad teaching. That’s possible because once you’re saved, you’re saved forever. But generally they’re not saved at all. I was raised in a church like that.

My church taught that you can lose your salvation. And it was all about works. And when I saw the Bible teaching in Ephesians 2, 8, the salvation was not of works, that And it was the gift of God that it was not of myself. I realized somebody is wrong. I said to myself, either my church is right and the Bible is wrong, or the Bible is right and my church is wrong. I think you know which way I went.

I chose the Bible over my church and I realized that I was in the wrong place and I needed to move on. So you might have to move on as well. You are missing if you go there the truth. And if you leave there, then you’ll be missing the error that you’re being taught in that church, whatever church that is. Thank you for calling in. We have a bobby in Bloomingdale. Florida and Bobby welcome to Bibleline. Where is Bloomingdale, Florida?

Hey, good morning. Is that in the Tampa Bay Area? That is I don’t even know if it’s actually Bloomingdale. It’s north of Brandon. Okay. Okay. You have running water out there though. Okay. I’m just easy with you. Oh, what’s the question? Yeah, I have family members that are are seven day at Benton and I heard you say last week something about that when they don’t believe in hell. That’s correct. And I asked my dad about it because they go to a seven day Venice church and he said no we don’t believe in hell that we believe that when you die you go to sleep and even if you’re safe or even if you have Jesus when you die you go to sleep until the second coming of Christ and I would just like to know if you know of any scriptures that will come back and are they safe can they be saved and

I’ll hang up and let you okay they can be saved but they’re not safe they’re keeping the commandments to be saved they’re keeping the Sabbath which is one of the 10 commandments and we just said in the first half of the program we know Galatians 216 that a man is not justified by the works of the law they’re They are trying to be saved by the commandments and they are law keepers, attending to be saved based on that. But as far as when a Christian dies, we’re absent from the body, present with the Lord, 2 Corinthians 5, 8.

Need to write that down. 2 Corinthians 5, 8. And we find upon death the Bible is very clear in Luke 16, beginning at verse 19, two men die, a beggar named Lazarus who is saved, a rich man unnamed, dies who is lost, and both of them immediately upon death are conscious and fully aware of their circumstances and remember their past. The rich man is in Flamin’ Torment, and he knows he is in Flamin’ Torment. He says to Abraham, can you send Lazarus to the tip of his finger in water and come over and cool my tongue because I am tormented in this flame?

And then Abraham says, son, remember your lifetime. He could remember. It was consciousness. There was conversation going on. And we find that the rich man then became concerned about evangelism. And he wanted somebody to be sent back to his family. He had five brothers. He said that he didn’t want them to come to that place. So obviously the lost will be in flame and torment and eventually cast into hell forever and ever and ever. 1619 to the end of the chapter and that’s a powerful powerful passage, but when you die Your absent body present with the Lord.

I think that sums it up and the seven-day Adventists are Wrong on so many things and they’ll never get it right. Do you know why? Because they read the Bible through the lenses of LNG white all the cults have have another source that they put above or greater than the Bible. The Joves witnesses have the Kingdom Hall and the Watchtower Society literature. The Seventh Adventists have the writings of LNG White. They need to pitch all of her books and the garbage can light them on fire and stick with their Bible and they would come clean.

And the Christian scientists have the writings of Mary Baker Eddie and on and on it goes. If you put any any other book about the Bible. The Bible is the Word of God. And you have to judge everything else. As I said, my church, I had to say it’s either my church is right and the Bible is wrong or the Bible is right and my church is wrong. I chose the Bible over my church. And the seven admins need to choose the Bible over LNG white.

And Bobby will certainly be praying for your relatives that are trapped in that cult. They are a cult. When you deny the basic tenets of Christianity, you’re a cult and that’s what the Seventh-day Adventists are. We need to pray for them. Some dear people are members of that cult but they’re blinded by the devil and through the writings of Ellen G. White they need to get rid of her books, pitch them out, start reading the Bible alone and they’re going to be fine.

We have Roger in Foley, Alabama. All right Roger, welcome to Bibleline Great to Have You on the Bible on her and hello i you’re on the air yeah i’m traveling to florida band alabama line right now i uh… i was uh… meditating on his ekulele listening to temple measuring of the temple and uh… In verse 45 it says, No More. It’s in chapter 45. And in 47 it shows waters running under the right side of the temple down to the Dead Sea and healing part of the waters of the Dead Sea and kept providing the land and one belief me to believe that the mighty old temple and it has in fact they’re going to be under the law and with Jesus on the throne.

I mean Israel and making the sack of worshiping corner sealed in the book of the a real idea. Yes they will and that’s a wonderful portion of the Bible. The Bible talks about a river will flow from out from underneath the third temple and it will flow two directions. It will flow down to the Mediterranean and flow to the Dead Sea and heal a portion of the Dead Sea so that it will have life right now. Nothing lives in the Dead Sea but life all along its banks all the way down the U.S.

desert between Jerusalem and the Dead Sea and that whole desert will blossom and bloom as the Bible said it would. It’s going to be a wonderful time. But Christ was actually going to rule the earth during that thousand years from the house of the Lord, which is the temple. That temple doesn’t exist right now, but preparation has been made for it to be rebuilt, and we believe shortly right after the rapture, which could happen at any time, that temple will be rebuilt.

And of course, that’s created by the Antichrist during those seven years of tribulation, but And then Christ will come back and cleanse it and establish His Kingdom, and then the whole earth will be at peace. But yes, they will be observing the Sabbath during that time. It’s really, this Kingdom was a promise to Israel, and of course the Gentiles will also enjoy this wonderful thousand years of peace on earth. Good will toward men. But yes, indeed they will, and they will have sacrifices at the temple, but they will be memorial in nature.

They don’t save anybody. sacrificed two thousand years ago is the means by which everybody who would ever be saved in the human race would be saved uh… a long period of time so it seems to me that uh… back up pre-flood uh… at least when it comes to the age of the people yep you’re absolutely right in fact it says in isaia that if a person dies at a hundred during the millennium they’re gonna say he was just a child he was just getting going i think possibly somebody might be with this was record of nine sixty nine so we’ll have to wait and see but if you are a young person at the beginning of the millennium you could live uh…

all the way maybe almost all the way or all the way to the end which would mean matheslas record of nine sixty nine might get broken by somebody now i know you don’t believe quite the same way as i do while i’m a young earth creationist and i think that don’t hang me up at all the way you look at it but uh… you don’t hang me up either because you know that’s not a major doctor you know we Well the reason I’m asking is the animals are the why it all laid out in each straw like the ox Do you believe the pack the animals were came?

I think they probably were Okay, okay. Thank you. Thank you so much, and that was Roger and boldly Alabama actually headed to the Florida border driving apparently and we have Paul in Seminole, Florida and Paul Welcome to Bible ed Hello hello Paul You know I have a question On Romans 10 9 and 10 and 13, okay if you believe that That the gospel quarter first Christmas 15 are you saved immediately and forever? Yes Okay now here. I’m a young Christian and I go to a church like Malaysia and the teeth Circumcision or keep your law don’t do as much salvation Well, you won’t lose it But if you are putting yourself in bondage, if you allow them to put you under the law, Paul wrote to the Galatian believers that had gotten saved, and he says, why do you want to return to where you were before?

He said, you have been set free. Chapter 5 says, it says, stand fast in the liberty wherewith you have been set free. Why would you want to go back under the law when you’ve been set free from the law? So it seems a little bit craziness. So apparently… Don’t you think there’s a lot of Christians like that today? Oh my goodness. They’re in a church where they don’t believe it and they’re not taught it. Yeah, I think that happens for sure.

But I don’t… I’m really concerned though that the majority start off in those churches and are raised in those churches and they never get the gospel and think that they’re saved by keeping the law or keeping works and that’s a tragedy. That scares me because I was in that situation and I just thank God that the gospel intercepted my life at an early age of 18. Well, really nice, I think my parents were saved, born again, but they were never taught to secure the bleep.

I know they were born again because of their confession of faith, but they didn’t know. They never grew in security. I can buy that. I think that a lot of Christians are saved in lack of assurance, and then others have fallen into bad doctrine and get deceived after they’re saved. Once you’re saved, you’re saved forever. Well, that’s what I thought that I understand and I believe that because that’s what I think about a lot of people who are in the Armenian Doctrine and yet I can’t think they’re all washed.

Well, I think a lot of them are, but we need to, obviously as a witness, not take for granted that they might be saved. We need to go back and start all over with them and make sure that they’re safe. Right, I agree. And Paul, thank you for calling. You’re welcome. All right. We have now coming up on the line here. we have uh… robert in chateau nigger tenon c and uh… robert welcome to bible and german uh… yet yes or doctor hank uh…

i believe like you that all one has to do the b-says you’ve just trust you but i needed some insight on hebrews five nine were read uh… salvation to all who obey him okay and uh… i enjoyed the show new listener now i’ll get off and listen to your answer. Alright, thank you for calling in from Chattanooga, Tennessee. In Hebrews 5-9, that word obey when we obey Christ, when we obey Him to be saved, we believe on Him. You know, Jesus said in John 647, verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me has everlasting life.

So when you take Him in His word and believe on Him or trust Him, obeying him and your saved. 2 Thessalonians chapter 1 verse 8 talks about Christ at his second coming back in flaming fire taking vengeance on those that obey not the gospel. Well the gospel is the belief on the Lord Jesus Christ. You obey the gospel by trusting Christ as your Savior. You disobey the gospel by rejecting Christ as your Savior. Now after saved when you obey Him.

That’s a different ball game. To be saved, we recognize we cannot work to be saved and trust in the finished work of Christ. After we’re saved, we recognize that we’re saved now forever and now to obey Him means to do what He wants us to do as His child and that will bring about rewards in our life. So as a believer, we ought to read our Bibles, we ought to fellowship with other Christians, we ought to pray, we ought a witness and so on and so on.

There are many things outlined that we’re to be obedient to, but we’re not to mix the two. We’re saved by trusting Christ. Then we are rewarded for serving Christ after we’re saved. So hopefully, Robert, that’ll help you understand that. So when it says obey or disobey, you know, and Peter in particular, and also Paul, talk about those that are disobedient. I didn’t know what that meant. I thought that it was just people who just did their own thing. But it’s always disobedient to the gospel that causes them to be lost.

And so when they are obedient to the gospel to believe or trust Christ, they’re saved. But when they’re disobedient to the gospel, then they’re lost. And Peter actually uses those very phrases that they were disobedient to the Word. They didn’t believe what God said concerning Christ. And so that’s why false prophets are lost and why people are lost because they don’t believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Hopefully that helps. Thanks for listening, Pastor. We’re along there up in Chattanooga that we’re on the air.

We have Adam in Tampa, Florida, and Adam, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. He knew it long before that. Obviously he is God. If you read John 17 verse 5 Jesus there prays That he might be restored to the fellowship and glory that he had with the Father before the universe was created So yeah, he’s the eternal son of God and certainly knew who he was in why he had come He knew what he said there. We don’t know how to have a whole lot about what he said, but he said he was about his father’s business.

So he knew what he was doing. And he knew that Joseph wasn’t his father, but God, the eternal father was his father. What’s the problem? Right. One more quick question. Matthew and Matthew chapter 10 and verse 23 I previously called you. I was wondering when Jesus comes when what’s wrong to you to the conclusion that that’s in the distant future rather than the immediate future. When he comes, he says that you will not go through all the physical Israel until this one man comes.

Right. So it leaps over the church age and that’ll be concluded by the hundred forty four thousand ministry. during the tribulation period. Okay. Well, he’s talking to the disciples there and he’s talking about immediate things that are gonna happen. If I don’t know why you come to the… Because it makes sense. Because it goes to his future disciples. Obviously he’s telling them they’re not going to finish the job. But it will be concluded and be finished by his future disciples.

You see that later in Matthew 24 as well that the gospel of the kingdom will be preached everywhere in the whole world, which is not the gospel of salvation, but the gospel of this kingdom will be taught worldwide during the tribulation period and then Christ will come. Got a run and thank you for that call and we have more waiting to go and more offer questions.
