If you’re in the Tampa Bay area, you’ll enjoy.
And you’re my guest. Just bring your Bible, your family, and come on and join us for our 1030 service. If you want to order the 10 hours of teaching on Jesus is coming on CD and also on DVD if you’d like to do that. We have about 40 presentations that I’ve done. We just got a wonderful note from Richmond, Virginia, where I am told that it is a marvelous facilitator in the Sunday School of Class for Adults in a church there where they said there’s more learning, more understanding, more everything as a result of the CDs that they’re using as a facilitator to teach the lesson.
So in any case, there’s lots of different uses and many people have an office Bible study, a lunchtime Bible study, a home Bible study or other studies as in Sunday school or adult study and they use the CDs to facilitate it. We have the book of Revelation, verse by verse 12 CDs, that’s 12 hours of teaching. We have the Holy Spirit, 12 hours of teaching. We have of course on the Rapture, 12 hours of teaching and we have many more of the books of the Bible, the Book of Jude, the Book of Romans, the Book of Hebrews and so on and so on.
You might want to take advantage of all our operators. They’ll be glad to tell you how you can order some of our resources here at Bibleline. We have an article I’ve written called, Beliefs that Matter, that we have about 25 basic doctrines in a sound church, all to embrace. You can sit on your phone and just interview and find a church that has sound doctrine by going over the sheet, maybe with somebody at that church, and find out if they are sound in their teaching.
Today, it’s hard to find a sound Bible church. But you know, in the Bible, it tells us that the leaders of the church, the elders, are to guard sound doctrine. That’s right. That’s one of the main responsibilities of spiritual leadership, is to make sure that the ship is not just floundering at sea, but has clear direction and is solid and sound in doctrine. And if the leadership in your church doesn’t have sound doctrine, then the whole church is going to be suffering.
The lack of good teaching in the churches. And I’m afraid that that’s a part of prophecy that we would see in the last days. They would not endure sound doctrine. 2 Timothy chapter 4 verse 3 says they would not endure sound doctrine, but they want to have their ears tickled in the last days. And I think that’s really true. Today we’re living in a time when there’s so many things competing for our attention. And that is true of television and radio and events that happened in your city, special holidays and other things that really take us away from church and from good teaching in our church because when people come they want to be entertained.
Well, in any case, this is Bible and I’m Dr. Anchlinstrum and we’re going to be talking about the Bible for a few minutes. Did you know that God says about you and me that we are obstinate? Did you know that God says about you and me that we are iron-necked? We are hard to be convinced. Well He does. In Isaiah 48 verse 4, and this verse got my attention as a new believer, He says, I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thou brow is brass.
Therefore here is what God says He would do. Verse 5 of Isaiah 48 says, I have even from the beginning declared unto thee, before it came to pass, I showed it thee. Notice here God is telling us that He tells us things before they come to pass. And He says, here is the reason why. I should have say mine idle hath done them and my graven image and my molten image hath commanded them. In other Chocobo, let’s just say, well this religion or that religion or my opinion or your opinion is right.
God says I want you to know there’s no question about my Bible is right and I because you’re stubborn, you’re obstinate, you’re brass-headed, you’re iron-necked, I’m going to tell you things before they come to pass. And while you know nearly one fourth of the Bible is history written before the history takes place, the Bible never misses. It’s always right on. It says in verse 6 here of Isaiah 48, Thou hast heard, and you see all of this, and will you not declare it, or will you not admit to it?
In other words, when you see the amazing prophecies and accuracies of the Bible. Won’t you admit that God has to be the author of the book? He says here in verse 6 of chapter 48 of Isaiah, I have shown you new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou dis not know them. He says, you didn’t know these things. I’m telling you new things, hidden things, things you didn’t know. And then he says, I’m telling you before that you have heard them or learned about them, lest you should say, behold, I already knew it.
God says, no, you didn’t know it. I’m telling you things before you discover it. And in the area of science, I was so impressed. The Bible tells us the earth is round thousands of years ago, way before Columbus, way before Magellan ever sailed around the earth. Isaiah 40-22 tells us that God looks down upon this earth which is a sphere in the King James that reads circle, that it is a round earth. Isn’t that amazing? The Bible is right on thousands of years ago.
The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 10-12 that God created the earth and the universe out of his energy. Einstein’s formula. That’s right. Einstein was 3000 years late telling us what the Bible already said that matter and energy are equatable. E is equal to MC squared which means energy is equal to matter times the coefficient of light squared which means that energy can be transformed into matter and matter can be transformed into energy and by the way that’s what happens in a nuclear bomb.
The atoms crack apart and the matter is converted into energy and wow the tremendous amount of energy that is released from just a small amount of matter. You know an atomic bomb doesn’t have to weigh a whole lot and yet it can do a tremendous amount of damage. That’s because matter can be converted to energy and apparently a tremendous amount of energy is released when matter is converted to energy. Einstein’s theory actually taught in the Bible 3,000 years before Einstein ever came along.
That’s got to be impressive and it certainly impressed me. I went on from high school to graduate from the University of Florida in electrical engineering, and these things of science really got my attention. I said, God has to be the author of the book. Nobody knew these things. The lack of scientific error in the Bible also impressed me because if the writers of the Bible were influenced by their societies at all, they would have included the mythology in the wrong science of those days.
But there isn’t any of that. Moses being raised in Egypt, and he was educated in the finest universities that Egypt had to offer as he was now the adopted son of Pharaoh as he could have been Pharaoh of Egypt. And we find that he was educated with the best education they could have had. You know the Egyptians believed that we evolved out of the Nile, that they believed in evolution. That’s right. But guess what? Moses, as he writes, by the Spirit of God, says in Genesis 2-7 that man was formed of the dust of the ground, that God took the dust of the ground and fashioned man and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul.
Well, can I first read that? I thought, well, that’s just poetic language. We’re just made up dust. But you know, science today has come along to tell us that the dust of the ground is composed of 16 basic elements, or other trace elements. And guess what? Man is made up of 16 basic elements, other trace elements in us. But guess what? They’re the same identical 16 elements. Boy, it’s a scientific statement when God said He created man of the dust of the ground.
We have the exact same chemical composition as that of the dust of the earth. What does that do to you? I don’t know. It just made me light up. I said, wow, wow. Even the most simple statements in the Bible have great and deep meaning. Many times we gloss over. Well, God says, look, I knew you’re stubborn. I knew you’re obstinate. I knew you were brass headed. I knew you were hard to be convinced. So I’m going to tell you before they come to pass, before you know them, before you discover them lest you should say, well, I already knew that.
And today, of course, we’re living in a time when we say, well, I knew the earth was around. Yeah, but they didn’t know that when the Bible was written. Yeah, I know. I saw this one when it was up there. But you know, they didn’t know that when the Bible was written thousands of years ago. God tells us things that we could not have known. And there are hundreds of these, hundreds of these. That’s why I’m convinced that the Bible is the word of God.
Let me just tell you, there’s only one Savior according to the Bible. That’s Jesus Christ. If you die without Christ, according to the Bible, my friend, you’re not going to heaven. You’re not going to make it. Christ said in John 14, 6, I am the way. I am the truth. I am the life, and no man cometh unto the Father but by me. When you simply trust Jesus Christ, His death and shed blood, as the means of your redemption, your salvation, the fact that He was buried in any rose again from the dead, God saves you.
Too often, though, people are misled by phrases that might sound biblical, might be biblical, but wrongly applied as the plan of salvation when the Bible plan of salvation is very simple. One thing you must do, believe or trust on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. And I can’t forget just a week ago a lady I talked to, I was talking to her about how to go to heaven and I said that some of the things she was reading over in the track that I have written, Am I going to heaven?
The first on the list is following Christ as a potential way to be saved. And I said all of the ones that are choices here are wrong. And she looked at me and she said, Is it wrong to follow Jesus? And I said, No, it’s not wrong to follow Jesus. But you’re not saved by following Jesus. You’re saved by trusting Jesus. His death and shed blood. Following Christ is the Christian life. That’s after you become saved. We come to Christ and receive His salvation by faith at the moment.
We trust Him. We become saved. And then we follow if we want to get in on the rewards and blessings. I’m Dr. Anglinsham. This is Bibleline. We’re going to go to the phone lines in just a moment. The phone number here is 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to go to Hopewell, Virginia and we’re going to talk to Anthony. And Anthony, welcome to Bibleline Year on the Air. My name is Anthony Wade. I’m called from Hopewell, Virginia. I know without a shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ is Lord and it’s going to be one Lord to know the throne.
I have a question from Genesis 1, chapter 26, when the day of creation, when God created the earth. Verse 26, he says, and God said, let us make man and out. And who was referring to it himself when he was speaking or to angels? He said, us. Okay, he’s really referring to himself. This is a proof of the triunity of God. The words there in the Hebrew for God are plural, and plural in Hebrew means three or more. In English plural is two.
And the word for God in Genesis 1-1 in the beginning God is Elohim, Elohim, it’s plural. And there it is telling us that the Godhead, God the eternal Father, God the eternal Spirit, God the eternal Son, working in consent, concert together, brought about the creation of the universe. true when they created man, it says, let us make man in our image after our likeness. And that has a lot of deep meaning, but part of it is that we are made as triune beings as well.
We’re body, soul, and spirit. And so we are a Trinity in a sense, not quite the same as the God God had, three separate eternal persons co-existent as one God. But you have the Trinity taught right from the get-go of the Bible, verse 2, you have the Spirit of God moving upon the face of the waters. So no doubt about it. All members that any you read the New Testament, we find that Christ is the Creator. We find that God the Father is the Creator and we find the Holy Spirit was there as the Creator.
So we have all three members of the Godhead and you’ve discovered it in Genesis 1. 26. I’ll have another question, but my wife was discussing it with back in the Proverbs, I was talking about wisdom and his wisdom was there at the beginning. Is this describing one of his attributes? That’s a personification of Christ that Christ was there present and that’s talking about Jesus. Okay. Excellent. Okay, thank you sir. Alright, Anthony, keep listening to Bibleline and we’re going to go now to Benjamin in Clearwater, Florida.
Benjamin, welcome to Bibleline Year on the Year. Good morning, Dr. Han. I have a question here. You know in Luke 16, talk about the wishman, and that person went to hating or to hell, and we see there that the soul and the spirit was in fire. Now, but the soul, look like the soul and the spirit there was together. But in Hebrew, for what, to earth say the words of God divide the spirit and the soul. What is the purpose that, boy, again, the spirit and the soul is together?
Why is it supposed to be separate? And we see, look like a deso and the spirit of the Spirit and the soul. What is the purpose of that, please? Can you tell me? Sure. I believe it’s telling us that although they are never separate one from another, they are divisible, that they are separate entities, but they always are together. So that’s the non-material part of us. And when you die, your soul and your spirit both depart the body. at the time of Christ’s return at the rapture will get our new body.
Now for those that are lost and wait in Hades until after the thousand year rate of Christ, they will get their new bodies at the end of the thousand year rate of Christ. And so that’s your answer. They are always together, but they are divisible because they’re not the same. And the Word of God is living in powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, dividing a sunder between the soul and the spirit. Although they are together, the Word of God can cut between them, and they are distinct and individual.
Thank you so very much for calling in Benjamin. By the way, the phone number here is 1-800-576-3771. We have a caller now from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We have Vivian and Vivian. Welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Oh, hello. I just had to call you. You said a couple times you felt the Antichrist would be an American and I wanted to know why you felt that way and I have another question. Well, I believe the United States is the key country here in the last days.
And I believe it’s mentioned in Daniel 7 verse 8 along with many other verses. But this is a clear one. It talks about 10 nations that were part of ancient Europe that would come together in the last days. And I think we’ve seen that in the European common market. Then it talks about another nation. That means an 11th one. And it is called the little horn, which means it’s younger than, and yet it is described there as being stronger than the ten nations that birth this 11th nation.
We’re the only nation in the world that has been birthed by Europe that’s younger than a stronger than Europe, and we are, I believe, the 11th nation. Now the leader of that 11th nation is also called the little horn, and that is a title for the Antichrist. And so I believe he comes right out of this country and I think most people are looking in all the wrong places for the Antichrist and they’re not going to ever even suspect who he is because they’re looking in the wrong place.
He’s coming right out of this country. But doesn’t it say in scripture that the Antichrist will come from the Revive Roman Empire? Well, guess what? The Revive Roman Empire has spawned an 11th baby country, the U.S. of A. That’s what Daniel uh… seven eight is talking about we are the extension of the roman empire we’re roman here in government and everything else our congress are uh… uh… where the congress meets is built uh… on purpose in the shape of the pantheon which is in roman it’s roman in shape uh…
that domon the capital is uh… is a absolute uh… perfect uh… uh… replica of the shape of the pantheon in roman Well, you answered all my questions. Thank you very much. You’re very welcome and God bless you We can try to get some of the off-air questions today. It’ll be good It says here Richard calls in from Tampa. What are your thoughts on the up-and-coming?
Event in Tampa, which is a big event here at Raymond James Stadium the answer is that The teaching there is obviously wrong on the gospel. It basically works oriented. You must commit your life to Christ as basically the main, apparently, presentation. Invite Christ into your life. And all of those are not the gospel. If you’d like to get a sample of my track, Am I Going to Heaven? I have twenty of the most common terms used today by people who have angelized pastors and lay people alike.
And to ask someone to commit their life to Christ is works. It’s the focus is on your life. To be saved, the Bible says we’re saved by his life in Romans 5. We’re not saved by our life, and it’s amazing how it’s a subtlety that the devil uses to cause people to be lost and remain blinded to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are saved by trusting in the finished work of Christ. It has nothing to do with what we do or do not do in our future.
If you are being tugged by message, here’s the way to tell whether you’re hearing the truth or not. Close your eyes and just listen and ask yourself, am I being tugged to do something or not do something in my future that will determine whether I am saved or not? And my friend, if that be the case, you are listening to a false message. You see, the true message of the gospel takes the lost and dying sinner, you and me, and points us back to the cross where Jesus said on the cross, it’s finished, it’s paid in full.
And so we don’t look to our own lives or to our future. That would make us the Savior and salvation by works and the Bible is clear that we’re not saved by works. If you’re trusting in your works, my friend, you will never make heaven. That’s the problem with the group in Matthew 7, they’re religious, but in verse 22 they’ll stand before Christ one day at the great white throne judgment and they’ll say, Lord, Lord, didn’t we preach in your name?
Didn’t we heal in your name? Didn’t we do many wonderful works in your name? And Christ will say, I never knew you. I never knew you. They would never say. Never say because why they were trusting in their works if they had only said Lord Lord didn’t we trust that you died and shed your blood at the cross to pay for our sins that you were buried and that you were risen again from the dead and we placed our trust in your substitution or death at the cross is the only means of our salvation Christ would have said come right on in but you know today it’s amazing how that all the different churches that will gravitate to in a big event like this and that shows you.
that they all have a common denominator. And that is all of the counterfeits believe in works for salvation. So they can come together and hold hands and say, we all agree, we all agree, we’re in agreement here today, and so on. And yet they’re not in agreement with the Bible. When the Bible says it’s not a word, it’s the gift of God, it’s not of yourself, it’s by faith in the finished work of Christ. of Christ that a person is saved.
You really have to check out what people are saying and realize that there are subtleties. My track, I’ll send you a copy of it free to look over and examine. But if you look at that, you’ll find out that I have scriptural answers why each of these are wrong answers as how to be saved. I’m Dr. Englunds from This is Bibleline. We’re going to go to the break and come back and do the second half hour of Bibleline. Keep your radio dial.

I hope you’ll be listening every day and of course you want to thank you.
Thank all of you who pray for and give the Bible and you’re the ones who keep this program going. God bless you and If you haven’t given the Bible and would you consider? You know, we’re not trying to get your money. That’s the truth We are trying to get this program and the message of the program from the Bible out to the world and in order to do that it requires money and and this is a way you can invest in eternity and I I believe have the fruits of this program to your account when you get to heaven.
The Bible teaches them that you can lay up treasures in heaven by giving and as you give wisely, you will obviously be giving a great reward in heaven. If you give to an organization that has a false gospel, guess what? That’s a negative. It says in 2nd John verse 11, If you bid a ministry, Godspeed, that has a false doctrine, the Bible says you’re partaker of their evil deeds and you’ll lose out. That’s right, it’ll be a negative for you.
It says in verse 8 of 2 John, look to yourselves that you lose not those things which you have worked for but that you might receive a full reward. You can lose out on reward you could have had or would have had if you aren’t careful And if you give to ministries that are unsound in doctrine, you are actually getting a minus in heaven rather than a plus. The Bible expects you to be a smart investor. Invest where God is honored, the Bible is preached, souls are getting saved, people are being challenged, people are being influenced with the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Bible line I believe is doing all of that.
So I would ask you to consider giving Bibleline your prayers and your gifts to see that this program continues. We’re now going to go to Merley and she’s down in Fort Myers, Florida. Merley welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Are you there, Merley? Hello, Merley. Hello? Hello? Hi. You’re on the air, Merley. Excuse me. Oh. Oh, okay. Yes, I had a question. Okay, go for it. I’ve been, when I witnessed the people quite often, and, you know, to try to lead people to the Lord and, et cetera, and tell them that Jesus is coming back soon.
And something I come across a lot is, I believe it’s a satanic stronghold that Satan has you to deceive people. I come across a lot like, well, how do you believe? Well, they’ll say, well, how do you know? I feel because the Bible tells me so, and I believe it. And they say, well, how can you believe a work of fiction? And I said, the Bible is not fiction. It’s the truth. It’s the Word of God. And they said, well, I went to Catholic school and I learned all that.
So I’m just wondering if there’s an effective way to answer that. Well, as we just covered in the earlier part of the program, and maybe you didn’t hear that, but I was talking about how God in Isaiah 48 says that he knows that we’re obstinate, stubborn, hard to be convinced. So he would tell us things before we would ever discover them or know them that would come to pass that would prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he’s the author of the Bible.
And we talked about some of the scientific facts about the earth is around the fact of Einstein’s formula, all these things being given in the Bible thousands of years ago, before man ever discovered them and that’s just the area of science but also God tells the whole life of Christ. The first and the second coming in the Old Testament there are over 330 prophecies of the first coming of Christ and Christ comes and fulfills them all. The probability that is astronomical and yet he fulfilled every one of those prophecies to the letter and that is not an accident.
That has to be the hand of God. So the Bible offers many proofs. There’s a book that we have here called Evidence of the Men’s of Verdict by Josh MacDowell that is really well documented, shows the prophecies, shows the fulfillments and The Bible is very powerful. If somebody is a skeptic, they will either no longer be honest with themselves or they will no longer be a skeptic. I recommend something like that to go to your aid. The Bible has stood as a book like no other book down through the centuries.
Most books don’t last more than ten years and they are out of print and they are gone. But here the Bible is still the best seller, translated into more languages than any of the book on the planet. And obviously the Bible tells about itself that it will live in a bind forever and ever and ever. So don’t underestimate it. Just give them scripture anyway. I’ve had people tell me that they don’t believe the Bible. They don’t believe this. They don’t believe that.
And then I tell them, well, just let me explain what the Bible says about how to go to heaven. And I quote a few scripture verses and five minutes later they trust Christ. So it figured that one out. The Bible is powerful and it can work like a sword and it can cut through all the nonsense. So give it anyway. You seem like you have a lot of knowledge and there’s always the questions that I can never think of them when I’m talking to somebody who’s.
But anyway, I just have a really astounding testimony where I was in hell for a season and I believe that you would agree with me whether any man agrees with me or not. I know I was in hell and I know it was Satan that did it to me because Jesus said in revelation that he has the keys of hell and of death. Well, in any case of whatever experience you had, you don’t want to wind up in hell for eternity.
And if you die without Christ, that’s where you’re going to be. I have some teachings here. We have a wonderful book that will help you on your witnessing call a handbook of personal evangelism. I recommend some of the things we have in our resource center here and the tracks we have are very, very effective and it’s a way of being able to give people’s scripture in an attractive way that doesn’t turn them off and allow them in their privacy sometimes to review it and then you can come back and talk to them again.
So I hope you take advantage of some of the things we have there and go to my website. A lot of stuff is right there. Okay, well I wrote that down, Bibleline ministries? Yeah, dot org or dot com, Bibleline ministries one word. And you’ll find- Okay, I might even be interested in maybe taking a, do you have courses online and stuff? We sure do, yeah. And you can call our 800 number and my operator can explain exactly what you need to do or what you can take, huh?
Okay. What is your name? Are you Dr. Dr. Hanklinstrum, huh? Dr. Hanklinstrum. Okay. And we’re on every day Monday through Friday and you’re welcome to listen and of course call in whenever you want. Okay, thank you. I’m Ehrlie, Ehrlie down in Fort Myers, Florida. We’re now the ear with Denise in Seminole, Florida. Denise, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the ear. Oh, hi, Dr. Lindstrom. I would like to know your opinion on C.S. Lewis. hearing a lot about him but I don’t feel kind of uneasy about his stuff.
I personally don’t believe CS Lewis was a Christian. He believed in evolution. He didn’t believe the Bible was the inspired word of God. He believed you could lose your salvation. He believed in works for salvation. We have a book here in our resource center that talks about C.S. Lewis, a Christian or a pagan. And it seems like if you read his writings, he was pagan. He obviously believed in a works for salvation philosophy. So I don’t believe C.S. Lewis was saved.
So I think if you read this book, you’ll be shocked at the quotes from C.S. Lewis about his belief system. He obviously was far from being a biblical scholar or a believer in the infallible, inerrant word of God. We have Trish calling in and we’re going to talk to Trish and she’s calling in from Pensacola, Florida and Trish, welcome to Babylon, you’re on the air. Good morning. Like you said, I am from Pensacola, Florida, but I listen over the internet from WJLC1490 Russell Dorter, Chatter, Niggat, Tennessee, and out there early.
Enjoy your program. My question comes from 1 John 518. Who, so, whoever is born of God has got the sin factor. And I know that you believe in eternal security. Could you stress a little bit on that scripture again on 1 John 518? In 1 John it talks about when you trust Christ of Savior, you become born again and you have a new birth that is not capable. We have an old nature of flesh birth which desires to sin.
These are in conflict with one another. So if you are a believer you have to wrestle with these things. What you need to do is choose to follow after the new nature and deny the old nature. It says in Galatians 5 and 16 which I believe is the key to the Christian church. life, walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. So the Spirit is the Spirit nature. The flesh is the physical birth that we have when we come into this world and it is sinful.
And it says in verse 17, for the flesh lusts up against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary, the one to the other, Galatians 5-17, so that you cannot do the things that you would. We have a struggle as Christians and it’s like somebody said that I have inside of me a good dog and a bad dog and the one I say sick them to wins. So as a Christian you have to say sick them to the good nature, the new nature and let that be the dominant nature in your life.
Of course that means you have to do the things that feed the new nature. You need to be into your Bible, you need to pray, you need to fellowship with other believers, You need to share the gospel with those that are lost. And if you do the things which are foundational to the Christian life, you’ll grow and become stronger in your new nature and you’ll be able to live for Christ. But the new birth, it says in 1 John 3, 9, which is even better, whosoever is born of God or whosoever is born of God, does not commit sin.
For his seed, that is God’s seed, who made it him in him and he cannot sin. He is born of God. That’s the new birth. It cannot sin. It’s not capable of sinning. Peter talks about how we are born again of an incorruptible birth. Whereas the first birth is corrupted by Adam’s sin, and it is a nature, or it is the way we’re made such that we are going to sin. You know, a sinner doesn’t become a sinner by sinning, we sin because we are sinners by nature.
A dog doesn’t become a dog by barking. A dog barks because he’s a dog or cat, meow’s because it’s a cat. And we, by our flesh birth, have this in nature. That’s what Christ said. You must be born again. The flesh birth is sinful and we’ll never get rid of it until we die. So in order to heaven you have to be born again, you have to have this new spirit birth which is called the divine nature, the new man, the new birth and it is a birth which is of God and that’s what it’s saying there.
Whose whoever is born of God that nature does not commit sin. Why? Okay. Let me just go one more thing. John, also John, the apostle who writes this in 1 John 1 8 talks about the old nature in chapter 1 verse 8 where he says, if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. It almost seems like a contradiction. So we’ve We’ve got two things going on here. We sin in our old nature, but in our new nature, we cannot sin.
Right. Okay. Well, you just touched on what I was going to ask you about. So that is wonderful. And again, I do appreciate the service that you are doing for God, and I enjoy listening to you via the internet from China, New Tennessee. And you have a blessed day and keep the wonderful work that you’re doing. Thank you, Tricia. By the way, we’re on live in the Penn School area on one of the stations. I forget the but if you go to my internet site on Bible and you’ll find the frequency Well, that’s great.
Wonderful. Okay. Well, I just wanted to tell and ask the question that I appreciate all that you’re doing and God bless you so much. Keep listening. Thank you, Trish. Let’s Trish. We have Chris on the line from Tampa, Florida and Chris. Welcome to Bibleline. You are on the Earth. I have a dial tone on Chris. So Chris. apparently couldn’t hold it longer. We have Joanne in Tampa, Florida. Joanne, welcome to Bible Ed. Dr. Hank, this is Joanne. I was in your service yesterday and I’ve heard you talk two or three times about if we give to the wrong people and they don’t give the right gospel.
You know, when God directs you about the Americans act, we don’t know what kind of gospel they give those children. Well, I know and I really can’t discuss every ministry It’s out there with you, but you have to just do your homework and do your best. And I know you want to. I give where your heart is being touched, especially I know with the children, and we just have to do the best we can. And what you can do is require at least of a ministry to say, what do you believe?
Get a doctrinal statement and maybe even over the phone? Quiz them about and the most important question is can you lose your salvation because that is The question that really divides between somebody who has the true gospel and who doesn’t There’s no doubt about it. That is a major Major area of question because if you believe you can lose it you’re really saying you have to work to get it or keep it That is wrong But thank you Joanne for that question and definitely the Bible tells us that we are to lay up treasures in heaven, but he certainly wants us to be not supporting those who teach a false message.
When the cults come to your door, I would not donate to them or give to them because, again, the same thing is true. We have Chris. He’s back and Chris, welcome to Bibleline. You are on the air. Hello, sir. How are you doing this morning? Good. I had a question for you concerning the word manipulation. And I know per se that word is not in the Bible per se, but I was looking for scriptures in that area to kind of help teenagers and adults from certain Sunday schools that I’ll teach from time to time.
And that word would come up to me and I looked it up in dictionary, but I was looking for what the Bible really says about manipulation and what are the effects, you know, what a Well, I’ve been a person using that instead of standing on God’s work to get their point across or just in their everyday life. Well obviously that’s an illegitimate way to impose a person’s will on someone else. Obviously I would imagine that if you looked carefully at Proverbs you’d find a lot of information.
That’s a wonderful book that tells us about our relationships with other people and how to live life and live at peace with your neighbor, your friends, your family, and to get the max out of life. So that’s what I’d recommend looking, but you’re not going to find the English word there, I’m sure. You can find the concept, so the principles taught there and how to avoid that in the book of Proverbs. I would point you at least in that direction.
Okay. Thank you, Chris. Thank you, sir. All right. That was Chris calling in. in. Maybe one of our listeners might know of a verse or two that would be an example of manipulation and its wrong use. We have Adam in Tampa, Florida. Adam, welcome to Bible What’s the Bible on your own ear? Yes, my question has to do with what you said earlier in the program about wisdom personifying Jesus. Yes. Definitely refer to wisdom as being a she. And why is it referred to as being a she in the scripture?
I don’t know. We do that on so many other things. of things too when we are just speaking figuratively. But obviously Christ is male, but there’s no doubt about it when you read all the way through there. There’s no one who could meet that description. Wisdom by itself apart from Christ could be identified that way. But the picture is bigger than that. It has to be talking about Jesus. And maybe somebody out there can help us out with that.
But I don’t have a better answer than that for you right now anyway, but I’ll give that some thought. Does it, because every time that I read it, I just think being filled with the Spirit. That’s true. But all the members of God had their masculine. So it doesn’t get across that bridge there that we’re talking about. But that’s a good question. And it tells me your thinking. And maybe when you get the answer, you can call me back and let me know.
I’m always learning to never a point when we see learning and I’m Would love to have the answer to that question myself. Maybe you can help me find a good answer for that Why wisdom is addressed to she there? All right, we’re gonna go to John in Richmond Virginia and And John, welcome to Bibleline Hero. We have a downtown for John. Somehow we don’t have John. John, call back because somehow we have lost you. I am Dr. Englund, this is Bibleline.
All right, we’re going to get back to our other callers now. We have Gino in Tampa, Florida. And Gino, welcome to Bibleline Hero in the year. Hi. It’s Dave. Good morning and I came up to visit your service yesterday morning in my fiance. We got a nice tie. I wanted to actually get one of those pamphlets that shows He was a 13th verse or scripture was missing out of the NIV. I also want to ask a question about if you were reading, if I was feeling like I was telling you how Jesus was said that he would rise in three days of 72 hours.
and she lifted up in three days or after three days. So does ever three days mean… I think the only way you can resolve that is it has to happen exactly when three days was ending and when the fourth day was beginning. So it means exactly 72 hours. There’s no wiggle room and that’s the only way you can resolve that. By the way, on the NIV it’s 44 verses that are dropped in their entirety. But there are also hundreds of other deletions.
We have another track here that we can send you as well that lists 200 critical omissions, entire verses but omissions from the NIV and it’s really one of the worst translations out there and the attempt on the part of the translators of the NIV to do away with hell is really horrific. R. Laird Harris was the head of the committee said that hell is nothing more than the dust of the ground, the dust of the grave and that’s the appropriate meaning.
Wow. We have John in Richmond, Virginia and John welcome to Bibleline your own the year. Yeah, I don’t you’re telling our bad they are. That we were moving, we’re turning and moving, we’re sitting still, we were moving. Well you’re right. I mean everybody on the planet is moving whether you realize it or not because the earth is turning on its axis, you’re aware of that. And the Earth has to turn one full revolution, which obviously that means you’ve traveled 25,000 miles every 24 hours.
That means you’re traveling at over a thousand miles an hour on the surface of the Earth. But yet you’re in the same spot on the Earth so you don’t have any sense. But if you could be lifted up, let’s say 100 feet and held in that same spot and let the earth continue to rotate. For 24 hours you’d watch that earth spinning by at a thousand miles an hour plus to get it back to the same spot the next day.
So what does it sound like? What is it sound the moon be done? Well they’re all moving to the moon orbits the earth and so it’s turning around the earth and it is an orbit about the planet Earth and of course the Earth and the moon in orbit around the sun. And then the sun is also in its own orbit in space and scientists tell us that our whole solar system is in orbit. So we’re moving, we’re constantly moving.
Did you got any proof of that? Well, you can look in any encyclopedia, I’m sure. I mean, this is just facts I mean, that’s the sign that not that’s not according to the Bible called the Bible That he put the son in in this place He put he placed in the goat gold and the star of the Sider’s saying that you ain’t got that little proof in the Bible right there You know give me a strip of writing finally well There’s a great one in Ecclesiastes and I hope you’ll take a look where it talks about the I don’t believe in the scientists.
The scientists got things all mixed up. He ain’t telling you about it. No, he said the world is not, you know, they say this. Yeah, the Bible does say it’s found. They don’t say that. See, it got east and west and it’s all that. You can say it got corners. Well, it does. It does have corners. You know, NASA has discovered now from outer space that the Earth has four bulges. that they now call the four corners of the earth.
And we wouldn’t have known that without these scientific knowledge. But everything is moving constantly, and our solar system is moving, our earth is moving in relationship to the sun, and it’s just a very fact of life. and the Bible is accurate, John, in relationship to science. It tells… things that man did not know before that are discovering now and the Bible is right on and Thank you very much for your call and maybe some of our colors will call in with a comment on that We have darnell in st.
Petersburg calling in and darnell welcome to Bibleline. I understand you have a comment on wisdom So I’d like to hear it. Yes, I remember reading that the Bible says to know wisdom is to know Jesus and until you’re for your last God I just call I this one thing I strongly believe that science in the Bible go hand in hand. And that’s all I want to say. OK. Well that’s true. True science now. And true science in the Bible are in 100 percent agreement.
And you don’t have to fear science. You know, the Bible is an incredible book that tells us things that really are beyond what what we could have known at the time that today we’re discovering to show us how this Bible has to have been written by God. We’re about out of time. I hope everybody listening is trusted Jesus as Savior. And if you haven’t, do it right now, just say, Lord, I’m a sinner. I don’t understand much, but I trust Jesus right now.
His death in shed blood is my only means of getting to heaven. Join us again tomorrow, would you? And I hope that you will, and I look forward to seeing you. In the meantime, keep looking up.
