Great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We welcome you, all of you that are listening today, and thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We come here to the air every day, Monday through Friday, and on the weekends we play the best of, and we’re coming to you from our studios at Calvary Community Church in Tampa.

And we hope you’re having a good day, and we hope you have a Bible handy, and we’ll open it up and maybe take a look at some of the passages we’ll be talking about. Well, we’re excited about being alive, these days Jesus is coming back and this is an exciting time of years. We approach the fact that Jesus rose again from the dead. Did you know that? Christ is the only one of his own power that ever came back again from the dead.

The gospel message includes his death, his burial, his resurrection. You know Paul the Apostle says over in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 which is the passage that defines the gospel message. And he says, I delivered unto you that which I first also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he rose again from the dead according to the Scriptures. So the death, the barrel, the resurrection is the gospel message that Paul said that he received directly from the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is the message that Christ died for your sins, paid for them in their entirety by his death, was buried, and then rose again from the dead. When you trust that he did that for you, God saves you. That’s the best news you’re ever going to hear. And I tell you, it’s wonderful to see people come to know that good news. And if you’re a believer, there’s something about leading someone to Christ that brings joy and excitement into your life as you see the joy in the person that gets saved.

Wouldn’t trade it for anything else. It’s exciting. And as believers, we are commissioned to go with this message into all the world. And we certainly hope that if you’re a believer, you’ll be doing that. By the way, next week begins what many people call Lent. Did you know that there is no Lent in your Bible? You might have Lent, L-I-N-T, but there is no Lent in your Bible. and it begins with what is called Ash Wednesday. Nothing else is thinking the Bible is Ash Wednesday, or Lent.

Did you know that this is something that was wed into Christianity and given Christian significance? Back in the book of Genesis, you read him out of a name named Nimrod. His wife was an evil woman named Simoramis. She began a cult, which was the worship of her and her son, which was called Tamuz. Tamuz is mentioned throughout the Bible. This worship of a mother and her son spread throughout the world and it’s still around today, but it changes like a chameleon and adapts itself to the culture and it also changes the names as it goes along.

We find in Italy, the mother was called Venus and the baby was called Cupid. In Greece, the mother was called Aphrodite and the baby was called Eros. We find in Israel the mother was called Astroth and the baby was called Bail and When Constantine declared the world to become Christian, in 321 AD, the mother became Mary, and the baby became Jesus. There’s a counterfeit of Christ, where it’s a worship of a mother and her son. Interesting, isn’t it? Well, supposedly Tamuz, the son of this woman, was two stories, two legends are told.

One was that he was gored, and his life was hung in the balance for 40 days. The other is that he actually died. But in any case, they were told to pray to all the heathen gods and fast for 40 days. And at the end of the 40 days, Tamuz came back from the dead, or at least revived such city was healthy again. And there was great rejoicing upon that, and it’s the counterfeit of Christianity. And that is what is called Lent today.

It’s the 40 days that were observed in the Old Testament. And by the way, you find it in the Old Testament, and God was very, very upset when the leadership in Israel was practicing this. You know, Jeremiah was one of the captives along with Daniel who was carried away into Iraq during what we call the Babylonian captivity. Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, conquered Jerusalem in the temple. You might remember he carried all the way all the temple vessels. And of course, you remember, built Shazar, took all those temple vessels and had this big party and God really got mad.

And you remember the hand wrote on the wall that Belchazzar, you’re finished, tonight your kingdom’s gone and that night he was overthrown. Well anyway, that’s the time of history when it occurred. And Ezekiel was in northern Iraq where Daniel was in southern Iraq in Babylon. And God took him right out of his living room. You can read about it in the book of Ezekiel. It’s quite fascinating. He sees him in transport seam to Jerusalem and transport seam back in time prior to the destruction of the temple.

And guess what? He says Ezekiel, I want you to see why I destroyed the temple, why I allowed Nebuchadnezzar to destroy Jerusalem, why I was so angry. I want you to be able to tell the people in captivity why I did this. And so what does he do? It says in verse 14 of Ezekiel chapter 8, then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord’s house, which was toward the north, and behold, there’s that women weeping for Tamuz.

There he is. That’s the son of Simoramis, Nimrod’s wife’s son, supposedly virgin born, and he had been gored in a hunting accident with a wild boar, and here, down through the centuries, people would fast and weep for Tamuz. Now again, remember, when Constantine came along, declared the world to become Christian in 221 AD, the baby became Jesus and the mother was married. But the system was still around and all of a sudden now they gave it Christian significance and it’s what we call Lent today.

There is no Lent in your Bible. I want you to look, shake your Bible, Lent will fall out, L-I-N-T, but you’ll have no L-E-N-T in your Bible at all. It’s not there. And this 40 days it was brought into Christianity is pagan. It was to pray to all these different gods and to weep and pray and fast for 40 days. And then of course on the 40th day he comes back again from the dead. That’s exactly the way they line it up with Jesus is that he supposedly recovers or comes back from the dead after the 40 days of Lent.

Isn’t that an amazing thing? So I think it’s good to know what’s going on. There is no ash Wednesday. There is no Lent. And a lot of things associated with the resurrection of Christ have been polluted. In fact, and you’re probably going to hear something that you never hear from anybody else because I’m one of the rare ones that teaches it, but Christ I believe rose Saturday night sundown when the first day of the week began at sundown, as the Jewish people count their day from sundown to sundown.

Jesus was placed in the grave at sundown. He said he would be in the grave, Matthew 1240, for three days and three nights, that’s 72 hours. I believe he rose as Sunday began, which begins at 6 p.m. Saturday night. And in the morning, there was the discovery of an empty tomb at Christ to don’t rise Sunday morning. We’re going to do it again. Every year we have a sundown service, as opposed to a sunrise service. We’re just trying to make a point that we need to go back to the Bible, look at it afresh.

And you know it’s kind of exciting and it has a nice ring to me, sundown service. The fact that Jesus rose at sundown. Think about it, think about it, think about it. If you leave Christ in the grave till Sunday morning, He’s going to be in the grave three days and four nights. Four nights. He was in the grave, he said according to his own words, three days and three nights. So if he goes in the grave, it’s sundown, he has to come out at sundown, not at sunrise to make it work.

Do you believe the Bible to be accurate? Do you believe it’s God’s Word? And if you believe that, you’re going to have to say Christ rose at sundown. He went in the grave at sundown. He was in the grave 72 hours. He comes out at sundown. Well, guess what? The sunrise service also is pagan. I’m going to step on a lot of toes today. Guys, lock the doors, barricade the church, protect the Bible and radio studio. But let me go on.

It says in verse 15 of Ezekiel chapter 8, then he said to Ezekiel, has thou seen this, O Son of Man? Did you see what made me mad? Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations of these, and he brought me into the inner court of the Lord’s house, and behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord between the porch and the altar were five and twenty men. That’s twenty-five, by the way. With their backs toward the temple of the Lord, that doesn’t make sense.

The Lord’s presence was revealed in the temple. Why would they turn their back on the living God, the God of the universe? And it says, their faces were toward the east and they worship the sun. And so guess what? Every year at the end of the forty days of so-called Lent, which is not in the Bible, they would wait for the sun to rise. on the 40th day. Because you see, Baal was the son God, equivalent in Egypt to Raw, and so they would worship the son as it arose in the morning, and God wasn’t happy with that.

Now I know most people today don’t have a clue, and they don’t realize that there’s any connection to paganism or the past, but isn’t it interesting to find this out? So those that go on Sunday morning, do you know that every sunrise service that I’ve ever been in, and I’ve been in many since I was a little boy. I asked my mom, why do we have to get so early before the sun is up? And why do we have to get all dressed up in our Sunday best?

And why do we have to go to church? And I asked all the right questions, but I wasn’t saved in that time. But guess what? We always would face the East. We’d all watch for the sun to break over the horizon. Whoa, same thing we’re reading about here in Ezekiel chapter eight, verse 16, where God was very upset. And God said that He was upset. this was an abomination to him. Christ really rose its sundown. The sunrise thing is a tradition that was wed into Christianity at the time of Constantine, along with Lent.

There is no Lent, there is no Ashwensi. So now you know, so if you want to observe Ashwensi and Lent, go ahead, but you have to say based upon scripture that it’s not biblical, it’s not a Christian observance, it is a pagan observance that is wed into Christianity. It made God mad in the past. You think God is not mad today? And angry at that. He was very angry at that. He said, Ezekiel, I’m taking you back through time.

I’m transporting you from Iraq to Jerusalem. I want you to see why I destroyed Jerusalem. I want you to see why I was upset. This should not have happened. They turned their back on the Lord and they worshiped the sun as it rose in the east. They cried and they wept and they prayed and fasted 40 days for Timus. And he said, I was not happy with that. That’s the counterfeit of Jesus. Let me just say the wonderful truth of the gospel is that Jesus is God who came to the earth and took on human flesh.

And there’s none like him, none like him, none else beside him. And he’s the only savior. Jesus said in John 14, six, I am the way, the truth and the life and no man can come into the Father, but by me. I hope you’ve trusted Jesus as your savior. And again, check your Bible out. Some of the things I say on this program are to get you excited enough to go over and grab that Bible off the shelf and say, I’m gonna prove that man wrong.

I had a man call me the other night, he said, you’re dead wrong. And I said, well, thank you for calling me and informing me of that. Would you please tell me where I’m wrong and would you support it with a verse of scripture? He said, oh, you caught me off guard. I have to do some research to find the scripture to support that, you know. But I take the challenge if you can show that the Bible teaches that then I’ll believe it too, but it doesn’t.

We’re going to go to the phone lines. Alright, a couple calls have come in. I think we’ve got one about ready to go up on the air. We’ll put that person up on the air and we’ll take our first caller in just a moment. I want to thank all of you who are praying for Bibleline. We’re praying that we might be able to expand this program beyond the Tampa Bay Area and maybe other markets as we can afford to do that.

We’re going to need some help to be able to launch that. And so I hope you’d prefer to consider Bibleline not only our regular needs each week and month to pay the radio bills and stay on the air to bring this program to you, but if you see it of value to bring it to other places in this country, to hear… The program and be able to answer questions for those folks in those areas. We sure hope that you will consider giving a gift to Bibleline.

Because we are totally dependent upon our listeners. We are listeners supporting. And without your help, we wouldn’t be on the air. So I thank God to all of you who give to the Bibleline program. You are my heroes. And I brag about you all the time because you’re the ones who keep the program on the air. Thank God for you. And we know that this God’s hand in all of this, that He is touching lives with the program and you all are the ones who are responding to say, let’s keep this program going.

We have Joe out in Brandon and we’re gonna go right to the phone lines. And Joe, we welcome you to my blog. Hi, Dr. Lindstrom. I just wanted you to expand a little bit on the timeline of when he died and counting the days he was in the, like you know about the timeline you think you may have risen and death. You know I have a sheet where I’ve spent a lot of time developing that for you and if you could ever drop by you could get one or if you will call back after the program and give you your address to operators and ask them for that I’ll mail it to you.

But I have a whole sheet that explains and a chart that goes day by day and even in some days hour by hour almost what happened during the crucifixion week but I believe you was crucified on Wednesday. Put on the cross at 9 a.m. that God shut out the lights at noon on that Wednesday and it was darkness over the earth till three o’clock in the afternoon and then Christ died at three. They had three hours then to get the body in the grave and he was placed in the grave at 6 p.m.

Wednesday, which was really the beginning of the Passover. Thursday was the Passover and Thursday night began Wednesday at 6 p.m. If that doesn’t make you up real big time. And then for three days, 72 hours Christ was in the grave and And when the three days were concluded at sundown, as the Jews count their day from sundown to sundown, the first day of the week began. And right then, Saturday night sundown, Christ rose. When they came and found the tomb in the morning, they found the tomb empty.

So what we have there was a discovery of the resurrection. Christ was already risen, I believe, by twelve hours when the sun came up in the morning and it discovered the empty tomb. And nobody saw Christ rise from the dead on Sunday morning. He was already risen, but then he began to make numerous appearances and there are 17 recorded appearances of Christ after he came back from the dead. And then of course after 40 days of showing himself alive, he ascends back up into heaven.

10 days later, the Holy Spirit comes and this age begins. That’s a little summary, but you can get my chart if you will call back and give you address to our operators after the program. So the actually the good Friday concept is also wrong. Yeah, the good Friday is is wrong Christ I call it a plane Friday and I call Wednesday of that week good Wednesday And what happened there and I’ll show you the the error came from John chapter 19 where it says that Christ was Christ was crucified on the preparation day and That was the preparation of the Passover and that was really on Wednesday as the pastor was Thursday and in John 19 verse 31 it says the Jews therefore because it was the preparation that the body should not remain upon the cross on the Sabbath day and here’s where the trick occurs here on and say

some people normally the Sabbath is Saturday but it says that Sabbath day was a high day it was one of the high holidays of Israel which were also considered Sabbaths and so it was actually Thursday with the Sabbath as well as the Saturday 7th. Oh okay. Let me ask you also, does your church offer a daycare? No we don’t. We do have nurseries service during our services but we don’t have a daycare. Okay but nursery services during the church.

Okay. All right. Well thank you very much. You’re welcome Joe and God bless and if you ever get a chance to come by all of you can come by to our Tuesday Moody classes and of course you could pick up any of those sheets that I’ve written on different topics including the one that It gives you a chart that I developed. Oh, I’m sorry I didn’t hang up. Alright we are having a couple of callers who were trained to get up on the air and now we have, we’ll have it in a minute.

So this is by the line of Dr. Anglins from and we are glad to be able to be with you and we’re excited about being able to be with you and we want to thank each of you for being a Lister and we know we’re picking up new Listers all the time and we want to welcome you on board to listen to Bibleline. We hope that you’ll tune us in each and every day. We’ve got two people on the line.

We’re going to get one of them up on the air here. Let’s see who we have. We have Todd in Tampa. Todd, we welcome you. Welcome to the Bibleline. Hi Hank, good morning. Good morning. I’m going to ask you a quick question. I’m curious to make reference to trusting Christ, but Jesus told Nicodemus he said you must be born again. So I’d like you to define born again and trust and I’ll go ahead and get up alone. All right, Todd.

Good question. And in John three where Jesus talks to Nicodemus, he tells him he has to be born again, but he tells him how to be born again in the verse that is most beloved perhaps of all verses of the Bible, John 3 16. That was really spoken that Nicodemus for God’s love of the world, including Nicodemus, that he gave his only begotten son, that’s Jesus Christ, that who’s whoever, that if Nicodemus, and if you or I would believe on Christ or trust him, we would not perish, but we’d have eternal life.

So the answer is that being born again is a consequence of belief or trust in Christ. First John, chapter five verse one, says, who’s whoever believeeth that Jesus Christ is the son of God, is born of God? So if you want to be born again, you need to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. John 1 12 says, to as many as received Christ, to them gave God authority for them to become the sons of God. That’s the new birth to them that believe on his name.

And then the next verse says, this is a birth of God that occurs. So when you believe on Christ, when you trust Christ, the consequence is one of many, many dozens of consequences that happen is that you’re born again. And that’s right, you can’t go to heaven unless you’re born again, you are born again when you trust Jesus Christ as your savior. Thank you Todd for that question. We’re now gonna go to the land floor, then we have Loretta on the line, and Loretta, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air.

Oh hi, how are you this morning? Good. I listened to your program pretty frequently and I enjoy listening to it. I just wanted to ask something. I’ve been talking about a lot of family members that are Catholics, and I was Catholic at one time, but then I started into the Baptist Church, and I was just wondering now, this is the discussion we’ve been having. About Peter, they believe that he was the first pope, and I know that from, you know, I know that he was just a disciple, an apostle, and I’m just wondering, where did they get all these ideas?

And then, and they- Well, what they’ve done is they’ve taken passage where Jesus announces that he’s going to turn to the Gentiles and he mentions for the first time the church which would begin in Pentecost and be the age where God would include Gentiles now in the same body with Jews and Christ makes that announcement to Peter and he says, now I’m Peter and upon this rock I’ll build my church but if you read it carefully especially the original languages Greek and it’s really saying that Christ himself is the rock and that Peter is a little rock or a little pebble upon which would build on top of the foundation of Jesus himself being the rock and you see that everywhere else.

When you read Peter himself and this is the important thing is to let Peter speak for himself. If you read Acts 4 in verse 11 Peter says Jesus is the rock, he’s the stone and then Peter says in Acts 4, 12 neither is there salvation in any other For there’s none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Then if you look over to 1 Peter chapter 2, let Peter speak for himself again. He says that all of us, as believers, are living stones.

And we’re built upon the foundation of the chief cornerstone, which is Jesus himself. So Peter never claims to be the rock. He never misunderstood that passage. But the Catholic Church has. But if you let Peter speak for himself, you’ll find salvation is by grace. by simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. One of my favorite verses is Acts 1511, where Peter stands up at the first council of the early church and says, we believe that through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, we shall be saved even as they.

So here he tells us we’re saved by grace. We’re not saved by works. In Acts 1043 Peter says to Jesus, give all the prophets witness that through his name, whosoever believeth in him, should receive the remission of their sins. So the Bible is quite clear if you let Peter speak to himself. We have a book here called Understanding Roman Catholicism in our Resource Center. It is excellent. It takes the Roman Catholic Catechism. It examines 37 critical doctrines. It quotes from the Catechism and then it quotes from the Bible on those same doctrines and you’ll just be absolutely shocked at what the Catechism teaches as versus what the Bible teaches and they’re not the same at all.

So you have to get your ammunition together and just point out what the Bible says and how the most doctrines that the Catholic Church teaches are far away from what the Bible teaches. I know that. That’s why I’m not in the Catholic Church today. I watch things sometimes and it just amazed me, you know, what they believe. I think if you did a little study and go through and prepare yourself with all the quotes from Peter and then say, well, if you believe the first pope, if you’re in dialogue with him, we’ll say that if you believe Peter’s the first pope, then you need to pay attention to what he said.

And if they listen to what Peter said, then they’re going to find out that what they’re being taught today is not the same thing Loretta in the land, Florida. Now we’re going to go to our next caller and we have Reginald in Tampa. Reginald, welcome to the Bible and program. Good morning Dr. Langston. How are you doing today? Good. Well, that was about last week and I stopped by one of our Cryptflow dollars ministries and I was asking about their format and what they believed in and everything and what they were basically going about and what the guy explained to me that they believe in the prosperity thing and i’m more or less uh…

i can alike reread about that in a way because i was told after him to show me where is this written in the bible that everyone’s going to be prosperous and uh… you know what i’m trying to be uh… elude to write a lot of money okay and he’s to be teaching the prosperity family they invited me to church everything was with with only up and up as far as you know the christian faith gold except for that in the prosperity what what i want to explain to me while these ministries now preaching prosperity prosperity prosperity i think in those cases their preachers really prosper oh yes sir uh…

We’re back for that break and this is Bible on Dr. Hank Lindstrom and again, thanks for tuning in today. We’re excited to be able to be with you each and every day, Monday through Friday and on the weekends, we play the best of and we certainly love our audience. You’re a great audience. we still have reginal on the line here and we’re talking about the prosperity movement and originally still there yes sir alright you know uh…

basically i find that doctor breeds man doctrine and most of these uh… groups have salvation wrong and you don’t find that out unless you ask the right question in the right question generally is can you lose your salvation if a person says they can lose it then they’re really saying that there’s something that they have to do or not do to keep it that means they’re really trusting in themselves and in works for salvation and therefore they’re not safe true and so that’s the question you need to ask and i think you’ll always find ninety percent of the time they’re going to say well yes indeed we can lose it both of what i found out that a lot of the church is now though that they’re teaching i found your church to be one of the closest to the source that i’ve ever found in

Tampa everyone else is preaching this prosperity they’re teaching the uh… the gift of time and and i also asked about that i will also look like uh… how do you go about your your time and uh… it was not according to scripture and i asked about this up to well if it’s not according to scripture how can you interpret it as true tone and in the same thing with prosperity if you give in from my understanding if you get into this prosperity of this world you can get into mama mama you’re not well you sure are you know that the bible says live for yourselves treasures where in heaven and uh…

and and and there’s a real wrong focus when you want to have it all here uh… this world is going to pass away and all the things that that we have here in pass away you know i’ve never seen yet a u-hall behind a herst uh… everybody that i have buried over the years not had a lot of funerals they leave it all behind yes they do and you can only as a Christian we have a unique privilege of being able to send it on ahead by living for Christ we can lay up treasures in heaven and that’s where we really ought to be focused and that’s what Christ wants he says where your treasures there your heart will be so if your treasures are heavily treasures your heart will be on heavenly things and if your heart is set on earthly treasures then you’re going to be pretty much caught up in this world system which

God says he hates this is so Reginald, good stuff. I’m glad you called. I’m glad to talk to you, Doctor. Have a great day. That was Reginald and Tempe. And our next caller is, we’ll find out in one second here. I know we have two conversations going over here, and we’ll try to get you up on the air. Again, come by and see us. We have our Bibleline Resource Center here. We have lots of books. We’re adding new ones all the time, and some of them are really quite, quite powerful.

We have a book by Tim LaHaye that just came in that we’re offering now, which is on the Rapture. It’s a hardback, beautifully bound, and it’s like, for a gift of $18. That one is a good one. I’m just very excited about it. The Rapture even is under attack today. I mean, everything’s under attack. It’s in the Bible. So if you’re a Christian, you really need to know what you believe and why you believe. And this book is wonderful because he exposes how they’re even trying to rewrite what teachers of the bible uh…

taught in the past in fact it’s interesting because they talk about hairy iron sides which was up pastor the moody memorial church in chicago after deal moody dine and uh… great preacher and riddle not a lot of books and he believed in the rapture but they’re trying to say that he repudiated his belief in the rapture before he died and uh… and to my his book says that that is nonsense and exposes that whole thing as being a deliberate attempt to just tell lies about great christians and change their ideas we have a caller in temp his name is b r a d b welcome to bible on going back to the store do you think that it’s true that a surprising number of preachers nowadays will What’s the reason why they don’t want to scare the congregation?

What you want to is because they don’t want you scare the congregation? Well I don’t know exactly what the reasoning is but certainly you’re absolutely hitting the nail ahead. There are not many preachers who are preaching about hell and fire and brimstone and yet it’s a real doctrine in the Bible. Christ spoke more about hell than it did about heaven. and we can’t ignore it i don’t think we have to preach on every sunday but definitely hell is a doctrine that is not to be denied it should be preached on now on way what would be an example of a very very vivid a very real description like for example uh…

unfamiliar with a very very earthly this is not i don’t think a very accurate description but i guess you know in attempt to try and explain in earthly terms i’m familiar with this idea of talking about a deep fat fire when you’re you know when you don’t know french fries in the deep fat fire what they say is if you were submerged completely beneath that and you’re clearly submerged in the deep fat while it’s boiling you’d be cooking that would only begin to approach the horrors of hell that that doesn’t even begin to describe how bad is what would you what is your example of what you feel would be a very accurate very vivid No, I’m going to tell you what Jesus said.

In Mark chapter 9, three times, he says, in Mark 9, he says, this is a place where your soul will not die and the fire will never be put out. Now, fire is an awful thing. People that are burned, it’s an awful, awful, awful experience. I think I’d rather die any other way than to be burned. And here’s a verse, three times, he says, that you don’t want to wind up in hell. It’s a place where your soul will never die and the fire will never go out.

So obviously whatever degree of intensity of pain you’ll experience, I don’t know, but definitely it says that the smoke of their torment ascended up forever and ever in the book of Revelation. It says they have no rest day nor night forever and ever in Revelation chapter 14. And it says obviously that they’ll be wailing and gnashing of teeth. So if you could imagine being in extreme pain you would wail and cry out and nest your teeth. Alright, so when preachers, when some preachers say that the flames of hell, the pain of hell is a thousand times worse than the worst fire that you could experience on earth.

You think that’s necessarily accurate or maybe that doesn’t even go far enough or what is your opinion on that? I really don’t know what to say. I think we just have to, I’m glad I’m not going to experience it but we’ll have to wait to find out I guess after we’ve gone into eternity because we’re going to be present according to the Bible when god cast the angels into hell they’re not there yet they’re still out there there the demons today and it says in first Corinthians chapter six that we’re going to be judging those angels apparently will be there when they are assigned their degree of punishment and cast in hell and I guess we’ll get a chance to look at it then and thank god as a believer Brad we’re never going to experience that thank you very much doctor once or my

do appreciate you’re a good God bless I was Brad and Tampa wondering about hell It’s going to be bad no matter how nice you try to make it. There’s nothing good about going to hell. A place where your soul will not die and the fire will never be quenched. Mark chapter 9 verse 44, 46, and 48. Jesus says it three times there. You don’t want to wind up in hell. All right. Our next caller is Gary in Tampa and Gary is welcome to the program.

Welcome Gary. Hello Dr. Kins from my thank you for the opportunity to call and speak with you. I just wanted you to address this issue coming up with the movie now coming out called the Passion of Christ. There’s a lot of people talking about the fact that there’s an anti-Semitic movie and as Christians we know that there’s no way that it can be. But what I wanted you to address was the Old Testament prophecies that speak of the coming of Christ as the one who would be the lambsplain from the foundations of the world and how God foreordained Christ God himself to the world so that people can better understand that this was the plan of God from the beginning and not the plans of men and I appreciate your call.

All right, Gary, thank you very much. And you’re right on about that. This was not something that just kind of happened in a moment of emotional, fewer that occurred there when the priest stirred up the people. This was something planned by God before the foundations of the earth. And Jesus himself early before he ever went to the cross, says in John chapter 10 that no man He was the first to take his life from me, but I lay it down on myself.

I have the power to lay it down and I have the power to take it up again. No army, no power could have taken Christ’s life had he not wanted to die. He came willingly to die so that he could provide our salvation. So basically we’re all responsible for the death of Christ because he died for all men. And so no one group is going to be necessarily held accountable. But all of us, as believers are responsible because he died to pay for our sins.

And they’re numerous verses that talk about how that Christ was slain from the foundation of the earth. God had pre-planned the fact that Jesus would come and die. And we find the first hints of it in the book of Genesis. And in Genesis chapter 3 there’s even I believe a veiled reference to the crucifixion. It says the seed of the woman which is a reference to Christ. I I believe a reference to the virgin birth even because we know that here was seed that came without a man, through the woman and not a man being involved, which is probably a picture of the virgin birth.

And it says that Satan would bruise his heel. The only death that we know of where the heel of the victim is bruised is crucifixion because when a person is crucified, they have to push up on their heel for every breath because the way they’re suspended with their arms, they cannot inhale, they can exhale so to inhale, they must push up on their heel and this is done repeatedly for every breath. And so by the time the person dies who’s been crucified, their heel is bruised.

And so I believe God already shared how Christ would die in Genesis 3.15. But let me just read a wonderful passage for you Gary in 1 Peter chapter 1, it says in verse 19 that we are redeemed with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. Verse 20, who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was made known in these last times for you. So there you have it very clearly before the foundations of the world.

Jesus Christ, His death was already planned by God. Thank you, dear, for that call. We are now going to go to our next caller. and we have runny and tampa runny welcome to bible on thank you mccall you’re welcome i just had a comment and uh… question uh… this morning i happen to get the end of the show and other lady would say uh… the lady pastor was saying that uh… god had had uh… killed karate uh… i didn’t think that that was because you just uh…

was talking about that just a little bit ago but uh… i didn’t think that was an accurate statement on her part what i thought on the news was the uh… that wall they’re building around israel and uh… like they all hang up i just wanted to have five uh… see what you think about that wall because i guess some of them to have been attacked in Israel said it wouldn’t keep them out but uh… i thought i’d mention it to you all right hang up make room for some other caller you got a good day thank you now thank you running uh…

the wall you know is this wall it’ll be four hundred thirty miles long it’s twenty eight and a half feet high it has a uh… a perimeter road on its side either side it has a mote it’s uh… has a razor wire at the top it has electronic sensors and has guard towers uh… it’s it’s really quite a wall you know the bullet Berlin wall was only about eleven and a half feet tall so this wall is really tall twenty eight and a half feet high and this wall is four hundred and thirty miles long it’s only a third of it is is completed right now, but it will transverse the whole country and protect Israel from the suicide bombers.

I believe that the Scriptures may actually speak of it back in the book of Deuteronomy. This is in Deuteronomy chapter 20. Let me see where it is here and I’ll have it for you. In Deuteronomy chapter 28, I believe it is. And here it is. It talks about, I believe, the Western nations coming in and evading the Middle East, which I think we already see under way. And the United States will be involved and we’ll come into the land of Israel.

And it says in verse 52 of Deuteronomy 28, And he, the Antichrist, shall be sieged the in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down. Where in thou trustest, throughout all thy land? Well, you can’t get a better description than that and that is here is a high wall It’s a fenced wall and it’s going to be torn down by the Antichrist, a wall which the children of Israel will trust in that runs throughout their whole land.

I’ll tell you, that’s just like reading the headlines before they happen in the newspaper, isn’t it? Isn’t that amazing? That’s Deuteronomy 28.52, if you want it. I think it’s probably a reference to what we’re reading about in the news right now. A high wall that runs throughout the whole land that is a fence that is a wall that Israel puts their trust in. and they said this is how we’re going to be safe. All right, we now have, that was running.

We’re now going to Frank in Tampa. Frank, welcome to Bibleline. Frank, you’re on the air. Hello? Hello, you’re on the air. Hi, this is Jose. Well, I guess we got the wrong person. Jose, we want to make you frank today, but I’m sorry. We apologize for that. Jose, nice to have you on the air. There is a frank that’s very close to me uh… family members of well maybe you are thinking about frank and operators picked up on that somehow uh…

i got uh… how you do it they’re all smiling over here they said they we don’t know how we did that all right welcome hey uh… got a quick question uh… you know how there’s a fascination with this uh… i get money oriented christianity you’re talking about it earlier what was the phrase that was a prosperity prosperity yeah health wealth health wealth and prosperity can you help you know and god does promise that you will you know keep diseased away from us if we do certain thing like take care of ourselves but one thing I I notice is that the focus is like a magical type of mindset rather than a lot logical mindset towards you know God’s ways it’s more like a can the abort type of thing?

You know what I mean? Absolutely. And you know they’re jumping the gun because when we’re in heaven we’re going to be healthy, wealthy and prosperous. I mean we’re going to have brand new bodies, we’re going to be healthy, there’ll be no sickness, no disease, no death in heaven. The Bible says Revelation chapter 21 verse 6 and we’re going to be wealthy. My goodness, we’re going to walk on streets that are paved with gold. Can you imagine? And the city is going to be built upon twelve foundations and therenil be all kinds of precious stones and jewels that would make our mouths water today that are the actual foundation stones of the city.

It’s gonna be incredible place to live. We’re gonna be filthy rich in heaven. And at this point though, do you think that the influence is more Hollywood when it comes to this or is it more like an occult influence that’s probably very good? I really think Satan is behind all of that, just to lure us away. He did the same thing in the garden with the fruit and it says over in 1 John, this is a good passage for you to look at, Jose.

It says verse 16, all that is in the world, the lustvariable flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world. Take that verse, put your glasses on, look at this modern day movement and say, is this of the Father? My Bible says it’s not. There you go. It says it. world, this is 1 John 2 16, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life is not of the Father.

And how do you think it is permeated the church? So you know, because the church is departing from the Bible. We are no longer teaching the Bible anymore. We’re teaching what people want to hear. We’re tickling people’s ears. And the Bible says that in 2 Timothy chapter 4 that they would turn away their ears from the Bible from the truth and be turned unto fables or lies. And so they want to have their ears tickled when they go to a meeting.

They want to be entertained. They want to be, you know, I went to a funeral service at a church a year or so ago. And when I walked into this church, I’d never been in before, I was struck by right in the very center of the church, higher than the pulpit was a giant drum set. Wow. and the pulpit waserrors than the drum set. So what did it tell me visually? It tells me that the drum set and the music is more important than approaching the word.

Now when you go back to the old time churches, and if you go over to Europe and other places, these churches of the Reformation, they lifted the pulpit high. It was the highest thing above the congregation was the pulpit. And the pastor oftentimes had to ascend a staircase to get to the pulpit because they believed that the Word was coming from God from heaven. And the visual picture that people got when they came into the church in the pastor sent it to the pulpit which was way above them was a picture that this was God’s Word coming from heaven to man.

And I think we’re giving the wrong visual pictures today when we come into our buildings that we’re putting other things higher visually than the Word. So, I’m going to talk a little bit about your class that you have on Tuesdays. I initially thought it was going to be a stress-for-the-like atmosphere where you’re being pushed now that’s being pushed into your head and you’re very busy like atmosphere. I just want to let the audience know that anyone who is thinking of just be prepared to take in the Word of God and your stressful, absolutely wonderful thing.

Well thank you Jose for the wonderful compliment. I hope a lot of people will take that to heart and just enjoy what it’s all about. You’re really right. We see that as the people live, they really don’t want to go home. In fact we have to kind of chew them out of the parking lot and say look we got to lock this building down. It’s a wonderful atmosphere and you go home with something that you didn’t have before. Amen.

Thank you Jose. God bless. Have a great day. That was Jose in St. Petersburg. And our next caller will be coming up on the line in just a minute. Again, if you’d like to help by the line, we want to take this program out to other stations, but we’re moving forward and we need your prayers. And if you could help us, we will also need financial assistance to leap out to get started in these new areas in the near future.

So pray about that. We do have Frank now. Frank, we thought it was Jose, and Jose we thought it was Frank, and we got him straightened out. And this time we have Frank. Good morning, Dr. Lynch. Good morning. You were speaking earlier on the catechism of Roman Catholicism and how the Mormons, they say that we will be, quote, gods or, like, you know, be Christ. I didn’t say that on the air, but it is true that the Roman Catholic catechism says that Jesus being God became a man so that we might become gods.

The Roman Catholic Church doesn’t say that openly and most Roman Catholics will say that’s not even true. We don’t believe that. But why is it in the catechism if it’s not official doctrine? I am holding the official catechism in my hand here and it says in the statement number 995 if my memory holds me right. Nope, it’s 997 here. I’ve got the wrong number here, but I’m close here within a couple of points here in the Catechism. But it actually says that we become gods, which is the lie told back in the garden.

I really was shocked to find it saying that in the Catechism, it says in and three strong references in the cataclysm that uh… that actually we become christ we become gods when we become members of the catheic church i think i tried to think of a verse that they may have distorted or perverted that why they run and the only person i could think of and i can’t remember what that it said we will see him for the way he really is for will be like him and i think they got that and they completely ran a month with it taking it out of well i think you’re you’re being generous and you’re trying to explain away out of it but i don’t know i mean i think they’ve they’ve gotten that first and completely distorted it the proper sprita and i’ve tried to understand that verse because i know

that we’re not going to be a god’s or like cry or be christ or i thought it meant being like him in the sense that he makes our salvation on on page one hundred and sixty of the roman cataclysm quote number four hundred sixty it says the son of man became man so that we might become God. Yeah that’s wrong. Well I believe that too. And most Catholics would say I don’t believe that either. But it’s in the catechism.

Now there’s a Bible verse I could remember sis where we will be like him. We’re talking about Jesus but I thought that meant that we were immortal or in the sense that we would never die or see. I think it means that we’ll be without sin. Oh okay great because I never really understood that verse and I thought I wonder if that’s the verse that they have gotten and distorted and completely gone left field with and not the proper perspective of what it really means and I thought that pertain to the fact that thanks to him we’re never going to die and I don’t like to try to say and guess how they came up with these ideas but they are wrong and they’re in the catechism.

I was raised Roman Catholic I didn’t even know that was in there. Yeah and it goes to show that they yeah because that’s I think that’s the same thing what that the Mormons believe? The Mormons also believe that we’re guns. Yeah that’s not a man became men so that we might become god that’s common that these people get just one verse and they completely run amok with it without all of the whole Bible with it just taking it out of context well Frank thank you for your call there’s a lot of that’s why we the Bible is the only book that you know we I recommend a lot of good books and but People have a problem sometimes that they read the books too much and not the Bible.

You know, the Bible should be our prime source for everything. And every book I have on my shelf, I have to read it in the light of Scripture because every book has flaws. But the Bible is the only book I believe that is the infallible Word of God. So we need to have our perspective. The Bible is the book we turn to, that we trust, but all of the books we have to recognize are written by men and contain errors.

We’re about at the end of the program. If you’ve never trusted Jesus as your Savior, Why not just whisper prayer between you and the living God and just tell him God I’m a sinner. I don’t understand much about the Bible, but I believe that Christ died for me. I believe He paid for my sins by His death on the cross. I believe He was buried. I believe He rose again from the dead and I trust Jesus Christ right now is my only hope of heaven.

The moment you do, God of heaven saves you. I did that when I was 18. I received the gift of eternal life. The moment I trusted Christ. that I realized that God would begin to interfere in my life once I became born again, that he is a father who would discipline me when I became delinquent, then he brought me to a place where I dedicated my life to him and chose to tell others of him and that radically changed my whole life.

I graduated in electrical engineering. I never intended to do what I’m doing. I’m a graduate from the University of Florida. I went through the five-year engineering program and I realized that God had something better for me. And I’m glad I made the choice to follow Him as a disciple of Christ, but I was saved by simply trusting Christ. And I can never become any more saved than I was that night than I trusted Christ. But when we serve Him, we can earn rewards and gain God’s blessing.

I hope you’re doing that. We have to run on Dr. Anclins from We’ve had fun being with you. We’ll be back tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. Join me then. Keep looking up.
