Now please join us as we listen to Bibleline with your host, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Well good morning and welcome to Bibleline. Great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning in. We appreciate you and all of our listeners and we welcome you to the Bibleline program. We’re coming to you from our studios at Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida.
We’re located at 4811 George Road, just a block west of the Tampa International Airport and just four tenths of a mile south of Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa. And we invite you to drop by. We’re close to the airport. If you can get by, please come knock on the door and say hello. You can get a chance to meet us. We’ll get a chance to meet you. And you can take a look at our Bible and Resource Center. We’ve got some new things that I think will be exciting for you to learn about.
So if you want to call us, we’ll give you the 800 number, just a moment and then you can dial us up. It’s 1-800-576-3771. And a little bit later we’ll be taking those calls, but right now that number is 1-800-576-3771. Also, guess what? This Sunday, we have our morning worship at 10.30. We have our evening worship at six o’clock. And you’re welcome to join us live as we teach here at Calvary Community Church on Sunday. And we’d like to have you be a part of that.
So this would be a good Sunday for you to come mosey on over and whether you come from the south, the east, the west of the north. All of the roads head into the airport, so it makes it easy for you to cruise into the church. And by the way, people tell me there’s no traffic on Sunday, no traffic. So they buzz in here so fast that are shocked at how quick they can get to the Calvary Community Church where we worship here.
Bibleline is coming from our studios here and we pray that you will join us in praying for expansion and pray for us. We need your help to be able to make this leap of faith because we are trusting God that he will supply. As he did when we started here in Tampa, he has taken care of our need. And it’s because of you. We don’t have a reserve, we don’t have any resources sitting out there. We trust our listeners, we trust God is applied through them.
And so it is you all who partner with us who make this program possible. God bless each and every one of you. Turn if you own your Bible to John 637. Jesus says here that once you trust Christ, He says, Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. That means for no reason. You know, once you get saved, you’re stuck. You have to go to heaven whether you like it or not. Most people don’t realize this is a major, major, major issue.
This is the difference between the true gospel and the false gospel. The true gospel is, it’s finished, it’s paid for, it’s done. It happened at the cross. The true gospel says it’s eternal life we receive, not probation. It’s forever. Once you get saved, you’re saved forever. If you have anything less, you don’t have salvation. Let me say this. If you’re not saved forever, you’re not saved. Let me say that again. If you’re not saved forever, then you’re not saved.
I meet people every day and They are not assured of their salvation. They believe they can lose it. And I believe they don’t have it. Because if you have it, you can’t lose it. And if you think you’ve lost it or you can lose it, you probably never understood it. And it’s a subtle thing and a lot of people are going to say, wow, I don’t believe that. But you know, this doesn’t give a license to sin. Once you become born again and become a son or daughter in God’s family, God as a father will discipline his delinquent believers.
He knows how to chasin’ and how to deal with his children. Hebrews chapter 12, verse eight says, if you be without God’s discipline in your life as a believer, then you’re a bastard and not a son. Pretty strong word there in the King James. King James, it means you’re illegitimately claiming to be a Christian. If you could live as you please and God did not interfere. God gives his discipline to all of his children. And if you are going to be delinquent as a believer and get away with it, it proves that you were never a child of God.
As it says in Hebrews 12, eight, you’re a bastard. You’re not a son, not a daughter claiming to be one, but you’re not. A lot of people claim to be Christian or not. I believe most of those who claim to be Christian are not. They’re Christian in name. You know, some people say, well, I’m a Christian because I was raised in the Christian family. No, no, no, no, no, no. The only way you can become a Christian is by the new birth.
The only way you can become a Christian is by trusting Christ. The only way you can trust Christ rather be a Christian is to be born again. That occurs when you trust Christ. And once you trust him, you’re saved forever. If you’re not saved forever, then you are not saved. Let me put it in the reverse here. If you can lose it, you’re telling me that how you live your life to its conclusion. and we’ll determine whether you’re saved or not.
That makes you the Savior, not Christ. You’re not saved. If you’re saying that you can lose it, then how you live your life between now and when you die, determines your salvation, and that’s a salvation therefore based upon your works. Your deeds. Again, you’re not saved. The Bible says salvation is not a works. It’s the gift of God. And the moment you trust Christ, the Bible teaches that you’re saved and saved forever. Because Jesus paid your sin debt in its entirety at the cross.
Well, let me quote the verse again, John 637. I hope you’ve written it down someplace. It says here in John 647, all that the Father gives me, she’ll come to me and Him that cometh to me, I will in know wise, know wise cast out. That means under no circumstances, under no conditions would Christ ever cast out a believer. I’ve had some people bent on losing their salvation, which you can’t if you really haven’t. Tell me, OK, OK, OK, I see what it says.
Christ won’t cast me out, John 637. But I can cast myself out. If I don’t want salvation anymore, I can turn it back in. I can kick myself out. Well guess what, you can’t even do that. John 639, look at what it says. Jesus says, this is the Father’s will, which has sent me. That of all which you have given me, I should lose the first dozen. No, it doesn’t say that, I made that up. It says I should lose none.
None, none, but raise them all up again at the last day. If Christ had said that he would lose the first dozen, then I’d have to wonder, well, maybe I’m in that dozen. But you know, he said he would not lose one person. Think about what that means. If one person in all of history were ever lost after they became saved, Christ would be a liar. The Bible would not be the word of God, because God cannot lie. Jesus said that God’s word is truth, not a lie.
God can’t lie. He will not trick you. He will not mislead you. The Bible says he will never cast you out. Are you saved? If you are, you’re saved from hell to go to heaven, you’re saved eternally, you cannot be lost. Now what can you lose? You know, if you’re gonna be a delinquent believer, you can lose out of reward. You can lose your testimony, you can lose your joy, you can lose your effectiveness.
You can lose the reward that you could have had and you will incur God’s discipline in your life. You don’t want to do that. Eternal life is God’s wonderful gift. It has been paid for at the cross. It’s offered free to all those that trust Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. I hope you’ve done that. I hope you have. All the difference in the world. We’re going to take phone calls now. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. During my monologue, Kim called in from St.
Pete Kim. Thanks for calling in. Kim says, would you please explain the difference between hell, Hades, Shiel, Paradise. Alright. Big tall order, but we can handle it. Thank you, Kim. Hell is from the Greek word Gehenna. It is the eternal lake of fire where the lost will eternally be cast and separated from God’s presence forever and ever and ever and ever. Hell right now is empty. It was prepared for Satan and his angels, Matthew 2541, but they are not there yet.
After the thousand year earthly rule of Christ, which we believe is coming up soon, the rapture will happen seven years of tribulation and Christ will establish a thousand year kingdom at the end of that. Satan is cast into hell. His angels are cast into hell. Then everyone that is lost will be brought up out of Hades and cast into hell. So Hades is the place in the heart of the earth where the departed dead go, where the The lost are at this very moment.
They are in flame and torment. They are conscious of their past and are fully aware of their future. There is no second chance for them. And the Hebrew equivalent word is shiel. S-H-E-O-L, Hades is the Greek word, H-A-D-E-S. It refers to the hollow place in the part of the earth. Prior to Calvary, Paradise was also in the heart of the earth, separated from the place of torment by an impassable gulf. 16 beginning in verse 19 describes what that place is like.
Two men die, a rich man and a believer named Lazarus, a beggar. Both are carried to the heart of the earth. The rich man winds up in the flame and torment section. Lazarus winds up in paradise. They can see across the gulf to each other, but they cannot pass across. The rich man has a conversation with Abraham and Abraham says, remember that in your lifetime back on the earth, that you had it good, Lazarus had it bad, but now you’re in torment, he’s in comfort.
Well, that was paradise. When Jesus died, he said he would go to the heart of the earth and he went to the place where the believers were, the Paradise section. And on the third day he rose and emptied it out and took it up to heaven. Now, according to 2 Corinthians chapter 12, verse three, Paradise is in heaven itself. And so when we die, we are absent from the body, present with the Lord and I’m excited about that. My new body, I’ll have to wait till a rapture to get that, but my soul will be with the Lord immediately upon my death.
And so Kim, I hope that helps a little bit. Jesus, when He was crucified, when He died, His body was placed in the tomb, but his soul descended into the lower parts of the earth. Ephesians 4 verses 8 through 10 tell us that when he ascended from being in the lower parts of the earth for three days and three nights, that he led captivity captive. He led all those believers that were waiting for their salvation to be paid for up to heaven.
And now Paradise is emptied out. I hope that helps. We’re going to go to Lily in Tampa on the phone. Lily, welcome to Bibleline. Good morning, God bless again. Thank you for taking my call. I just wanted, I had a question about in the movie, the Passion of the Christ, where I don’t know anything about the Jew. I believe that some carry the cross. I was wondering where I could find that in the Bible. and also from where Jesus started when he was little, to when he went to the cross, where can I find that might?
Is it straight through each book, or is it scattered or caused? Well, you have to read the four gospels and you’ll find that each one of them supplement and give us the complete story. But the movie got it wrong about Christ, they’re carrying the cross, they had him share it with some men, they had the wrong man carrying it. The Bible tells us that Christ just fell once with the cross and he was only carrying the cross beam, not an entire cross as they had it in the movie and then they compelled this one called Simon the Cyrene to carry the cross bar the rest of the way.
And so that is, you know, it’s amazing what religion does. If you go to Jerusalem, they have the so-called 14 stations of the cross. Most of that is totally nonsense. But one of them is where supposedly Christ fell. And as he fell, he leaned against a building there and they have a stone there in the edge of the building that has a hand print in it. And they say, that’s the hand print of Christ when he fell. He leaned against the building and obviously his hand created this imprint of a hand.
I don’t believe that. That is just some of the hocus pocus in Christianity, one of the 14 stations of the cross. But they have another place on the Mount of Olives where Christ supposedly ascended to heaven. He did ascend from the Mount of Olives, but there is a footprint in the rock surface. And they say that when Christ arose, he left his footprint in the rock. I don’t believe he had to push down to go up to you. I think they were watching too much Superman.
Superman, he pushes off. He kind of bends down in a crouch position, puts his arms straight out, and then he pushes off with his feet. But I don’t think Jesus had to do that. I think we have a lot in Christianity that is just manufactured as we go along. But we know nothing of the childhood of Christ except when he was taken down into Egypt to escaped the wrath of Herod. And then only one time in John’s gospel we read when he was 12 years old, he had a discussion with the priest and got left behind in Jerusalem when his parents had gone up there for one of the feast days.
But otherwise nothing begins until his baptism when he’s 30 years of age and then most of the gospels deal with that three-year period until he goes to the cross that is crucified. Lillian, thank you for your call and we hope that has helped. And that was Lillian and Tampa. You can call us down. The number is open 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. We had Bill call in while we were talking from Saint Pete and he’s a first-time caller and he’s asking about Hebrews chapter 6 and then about the trampling of the blood which that occurs by the way over in Hebrews chapter 10.
Hebrews chapter 6, people use that as a passage to see you can lose your salvation. You can’t lose your salvation as talking about if you get away from serving the Lord. If you, as the Bible uses phrases elsewhere, fall from your confidence, fall from your assurance, fall from your steadfastness, fall from serving. But you cannot fall from salvation. That is impossible. And what it’s saying here in Hebrew 6 is talking to believers here. It gives five marks that they are believers.
They were enlightened. They tasted the heavenly gift. They were made any partakers of the Holy Spirit, they taste it the good word of God, the powers of the world to come, definitely marks up a genuine believer. What it’s saying in verse 6 though, if you get away from the Lord or you fall from your steadfastness, it’s impossible for you to become saved again. It says in verse 6 that I’ll read that verse in Hebrews 6 verse 6, if they fall away, it’s impossible to renew them again under repentance.
That is the change of mind that occurs when you trust Christ as your Savior. Seeing they crucified of themselves, the Son of God are fresh. If you try to become saved again, you’re going to be crucifying Christ again, but only to yourself because Christ will never die again. Calvary will never be repeated. And you put Christ in open chain by saying the sacrifice that you made at Calvary was not sufficient to save you eternally. Some people believe you can lose it.
I had one lady that said you could lose your salvation. She told me she lost it seven times. I said, can you show me a verse? She said, Hebrews chapter six, the passage we’re discussing. And I put on a sad face and I said, you know, I’m terribly sorry for you. My heart goes up to you. And she says, why? I said, because if this passage means what you say that it means, it’s impossible for you to ever become saved again.
So if you ever lost it, oh, Oh, God, help you. You’re going to hell. You cannot be saved again. You’re eternally lost. There’s nothing you can do about it. It’s impossible for you to go back and become saved again if you’ve lost it. If that’s what it means, if you lost it, and that’s what it means, it’s impossible to be saved again. This lady made a quick about face. She said, well, I never really lost it. I came close.
Seven times I came close. She changed her story. This verse says if you believe you can lose it, this says if you lose it, you can’t get it back. Think about it. If you could lose it, this verse says you can’t get it back. And for those that say you can become born again and again and again and again and again, get saved, lose it during the week, come back to church, go forward and get saved again. Well guess what?
That’s impossible. If it means you can, if it does mean you can lose it, and if it’s possible for you to lose it, this verse says you can’t get it back. What it’s saying here is that once you’re saved, you’re saved for eternity. and what you need to do is not go back and try to become saved again. What you need to do is start serving again. And that’s what the context of the chapter demands. It says, we’re talking about things verse 9 that accompany salvation, Hebrews 6-9.
It says in verse 10, God does not enriches to forget your work and labor of love. So whatever you do for him, he’s not going to forget. He’s going to reward you for it. And then he tells us that we need to have full assurance in verse 11. So I think what is talking about here is falling away from your assurance, falling away from your confidence. And verse 11 says that we should have full assurance of hope under the end of our life.
Well, Bill, I hope that helps the trampling under blood is talking about a person who’s a believer, can’t be lost, but he can trample under foot in a sense, figure, to believe the butt of Christ by counting it not worth very much in that he would not now live his life for Christ, although Christ paid the greatest price that could be paid, the price of His life is shed blood to purchase our salvation. Well, that’s it. We’re now going to go to another caller.
I don’t have a name here. Do we have a name here for this caller? We don’t have a name for this caller. We don’t have a name. We have an anonymous caller. All right, this caller called in while we were talking. Please mention that the Bible books are termed the gospel relates to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. And what is that all about? Well I was over in England and I was witnessing to a young man and all of a sudden it was like the light turned on when I explained what the word gospel means, good news, and the gospel was the message of that death, burial and resurrection.
And all of a sudden it was like the light came on and he said, oh, you mean the gospel of Matthew is the gospel message. The message of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection is recorded by Matthew. And the gospel of Mark is the message of the gospel is recorded by Mark. In the gospel message that is called the Gospel of Luke is the Gospel of Message as recorded by Luke and John’s gospel is the message of the gospel as recorded by John?
I said, you got it. He trusted Christ as Savior. I’ll never forget that. It was just a light bulb turning on in his head that he realized all of a sudden that Matthew, Mark, and Luke wrote about the gospel, about the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Christ, and each one records the gospel and their books, therefore, are called gospels because they talk about the death, the burial, the resurrection of Christ. Thank you for that call, whoever you were or are.
I’m sorry we couldn’t get your name up on the air for calling in. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We invite you to give us call. Please pray for us. We’re expanding and we don’t have any ground to put our feet on. What does the Bible say? We’re to walk by faith. We’re trusting that God will supply, believing that He is leading. He is opening doors. He is allowing this show to go beyond Tampa. And we believe that God would also touch you with that same burden and have you help us accomplish that.
We need some funds as seed money to pay the bill until we can develop an audience in these different areas that will pay for the radio time. time. It’s very expensive to be on the radio. And when we make a decision like this, we’re making a commitment trusting that God will supply. You know, it’s an exciting adventure, really, and you’re a part of it, and I’m a part of it. And I sit back and I have watched over the period of time we’ve been on the station now and watched how God has faithfully supplied week after week.
And you’ve you’ve heard me on the radio. It’s a miracle. Really, we don’t know how it’s going to come in. It never comes in the same way twice. God burdens people to give, and we don’t have any left over. It’s almost like… In biblical days, where God supplied just enough, and that’s what he’s doing. Each week, we have just enough to take care of the need. And we need your help now to go further, and so therefore we need more.
And we trust that maybe you’ve never given a Bibleline, but you’d like to be a part of this. Or if you have, maybe you’ll try to be as regular as you can because we need that consistency. And maybe if you have given in the past and you can just give a little bit more, that might be just the help that we need. You can send a gift to Bibleline at 4811 George Road in Tampa, Florida. The zip code is 333634.
I know it’s hard to get that. You’re driving down the road. You’re out in the yard or you’re in an office. You don’t have a chance to write it down. Call the 800 number after the program is over. We’ll be glad to recite that address or send you an envelope. with already printed on it. And also, by the way, you can give a gift by credit card over the phone. And we invite you to join and become partners with us to vote to keep Bible on the air and expand its ministry.
I hear that music. It’s time for a break. And we’re going to take a short break. We’ll be right back to answer your question. I’m Dr. Englund from Mrs. Bibleline. I’ll be right back. Don’t change that dial. And we’ll take your question as soon as I return. Bibleline will be back in a moment to pledge your support for Bibleline. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. All right. I’m Dr. Englund. It’s great to be with you today. Thanks again for tuning into the broadcast.
And again, we want to remind you of our Resource Center. We have some wonderful books by Dwight Pentecost, a great writer. And we’ve got books on some of his commentaries on different New Testament books, the book of Hebrews, Colossians, First John, and so on. And we have his book called Things to Come, which is a classic on prophecy. That is one of my favorites. Call Things to Come by Dwight Pentecost. That is a jewel, a gem to have in your library, especially if you like to study prophecy and you wanna get the different odd positions outline for you and what the correct position is, what the Bible really says.
He was a great teacher and I know you’ll want to get some of these and we have them here in our Resource Center. We also have the Schofield Bible which I recommend so highly. If you don’t have one, you might want to get one. It’ll help you really become clarified and straight. A lot of Bibles, the notes really wind up contradicting themselves. say one thing in one place and another thing in another and if you go very far you might become discouraged and decide that hey you can’t figure out what the Bible is saying.
Now I remember that experience as a brand new believer and so you really need something solid and that’s consistent throughout and the Scofields notes and the chain linking different passages together is accurate and you’ll want to have a good reference Bible. And I think it’s the finest that there is. We have it here and we have the edition which is the 1909 and 1917 which is the one that I recommend. The newer ones have been watered down and changed and I don’t think you’ll want to get those.
Also you can call us anytime on our 800 number. If you haven’t given the Bible on, we could use your help as we obviously are dependent upon our listeners to be able to stay on the air. So it’s your gifts that keep us going. I want to thank God for all of you who have given and those that are planning to give, God bless you, and it’s your gifts that keep us going and we’re ever grateful and we thank God for every one of you.
We’re living in the last days. days when we really need to do all we can do for the Lord while we still have time. Because I think the time is running out and I don’t know what year or when Christ is coming back, but it could be this year. It might be this fall on the Feast of Trumpets that Christ will shout and up will go and we’ll be out of here. So I hope you’re a believer otherwise you’ll be left behind.
You need to trust Christ if you haven’t. Well here we go with our second half hour Bible and so stay tuned and here we go with a second half hour right now. Line continue in your area. You can just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bible and we’re back from that break. Thanks for tuning in today. We appreciate all of our listeners and you know I just run into a lot of you here and there and yonder as I go about my business and We had several come by this week and got a chance to chat with them.
Some have problems in their lives, some have burdens for loss. We had one fellow this week who came by and has a son who’s unsaved. And we talked about how we can win him to Christ and we’re going to attempt to do that. Had a lady come by Tuesday, brought her unsaved daughter. We led her to Christ. saved. So pray for us as we minister to those who come and hopefully are a blessing as most those who come say that the program has been so helpful and that they are understanding things they’ve never understood before from the Bible.
We’re going to go to a first time caller in Largo and we have Don on the line. Don, welcome to Bibleline. Hi, how you doing? Good. I like to just make a comment. I know you were talking about one say always say that’s correct. I mean that sounds very good but one thing I’ve come to understand about God is he doesn’t twist your arm to stay in the faith. His mercy and his love it endures forever. But if you choose to accept Christ and believe in Christ as long as you have this posture, as long as you have this renewed mind God accepts you as a child of God, but now he will not twist your arm to stay in the faith.
And the Bible says that if a man confesses sins, he is faithful to just to forgive him and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. And if the sun shall make you free, you shall272 be freeNewsletter. And you know… So what is your point? bool you’re saying that you can… So God is not the type of person that would twist your arm to make you go to heaven. We have free will, we have free choice, but we have to choose daily to stay with God.
Well, you could ask me what happened to Saul and a naius, a saphira. Well, they all went to heaven. They all went to heaven. And if you read the story of Saul, Samuel said you’re gonna be with me, the prophet Samuel was obviously saved. And he said, do you believe Samuel went to heaven? The prophet Samuel said to Saul, you’re going to die in battle tomorrow and you’re going to be with me.” And so Saul was definitely saved. You know, the verse you quoted in 1 John 1, 9, is not a salvation verse.
It’s a verse to the believer about our walk and sin separates us from our intimacy with the Lord and it’s a verse that deals with fellowship, not salvation. And so as far as my salvation is concerned, our sins are removed as far as the east is from the west. In Hebrews 10, 17, he says, there are sins and and iniquities, will I remember no more? And he says, where the remission of these is, there’s no more offering for sin.
But in our daily walk, we still are accountable for how we live our lives as a believer. That is apparently what you don’t understand. As a believer, accountable, we should confess as we sin each day. And the Lord then will cleanse that sin so that we can walk in intimacy and fellowship with the Lord. but it doesn’t affect our salvation. This has to do with our walk with the Lord after we are saved. Salvation cannot be lost, and God does not allow you to be a delinquent child without interfering in your life, but he will chasten the delinquent believer and maybe even take you home to heaven early before you thought you would go.
But you’re saved for everyone to get saved. And by the way, it’s irreversible. I have a sheet you ought to send for it if you want, I’ll send it to you. And it is called born again, what happened? I listed 39 things that are irreversible that all happen at the moment you believe. And obviously, one of those is the fact that the Holy Spirit seals you until you’re in heaven. Ephesians 1, 13. And the Holy Spirit not only being the seal, you’d have to be stronger than God, the Holy Spirit to cause a person to lose their salvation.
And not only that, but he is also the down payment on your salvation. It’s called the Ernest there in Ephesians 114, which means if The God is in earnest. He’s going to complete your salvation. You’re going to wind up on heaven, sure, one day, and that if you didn’t, God is in such earnest that He says, I’m going to give you a down payment to prove to you that I will exactly do as I say that I will complete your salvation and you will be on heaven, sure.
And so if somehow you could be lost, the Holy Spirit would be forfeited to you. And if you went to hell, the Holy Spirit would have to go to hell. Never going to happen. Never going to happen, Don. Thank you for that call. We had another caller from Safety Harbor, Al called in and was asked, asking about Ezekiel 37 and 38 and the battle that he says here, he’s not on the air right now, separate from the battle of Armageddon.
The answer is no. What happens in Ezekiel 38 when Russia comes down against Israel at the end of the tribulation period, this is Armageddon. It is the time of the Second Coming of Let me give you a quick answer for that Al, and it’s in Ezekiel 38. We find the Russian army comes down against Israel, and it says in chapter 38, and let me quote the verse exactly here as I’m almost there, it says in verse 19 that there will be a great shaking in the land of Israel.
Verse 20 says, Ezekiel 38. So the fishes of the sea, the fowls of the heaven, the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth shall shake are you ready with your pen at my presence. That’s the return of Christ. The earth and all the men on it are going to shake at the presence of God when he comes back in the person of Jesus Christ at his second coming, that is Armageddon.
I don’t have time today to explain how people get this wrong, but they try to say that the battle in Ezekiel 38 is at a different time. Well, I’ll just say a brief word. They don’t know the chronology of Revelation. They try to match this up and it does match the sixth seal. They don’t realize that the sixth seal is also Armageddon, and therefore because they have a wrong chronology of the book of Revelation, and then they would discover that the sixth seal is Armageddon and this event here in Ezekiel 38 is Armageddon but forgetting how they go astray the context in Ezekiel 38 demands that it’s Armageddon it is the second coming of Christ it’s when all men on the face of the earth shall shake at the presence of Christ when he returnssoType One of my favorite books is a book by Clarence
Larkin has a hundred and sixty charts has I forget how many chapters that explain the resurrections the the judgment, the spirit world, the book of Daniel, the book of Revelation, and all these things are outlined and charted out, and it was written about a hundred years ago. Well that book is incredible. We have it, I think it’s a lot more in the Christian bookstore, but that’ll help Bible line if you get one of these, but I’m anxious to get it into your hands because it’ll help you understand the Bible in a way that you’ve never understood it before.
outline God’s eternal plan for the ages. But we just recently now added to our resource center his book on Revelation that is Clarence Larkin’s book on Revelation. I don’t believe you’ll find these in the Christian bookstore they don’t even carry these things. And the book of Daniel his book on rightly dividing the word of truth his book on the spirit world also filled with charts and then we also have a pamphlet by him it’s about I don’t know 70 pages having some charts in it called the Second Coming of Christ.
That one’s for a gift of $5. So if you’re on a low budget, a gift of $5, the Bible, and we’ll get you that one call the Second Coming with some of these dynamic charts. Once you get a taste of that, I think you’ll want to get these other books by Clarence Larkin. There’ll be a wonderful, wonderful edition to your study library. And I don’t recommend anything that I don’t recommend. And these These are books that are high on my list.
We had another caller call in, anonymous, will the saved go through the tribulation? And the answer is no. We’re going to be raptured out, but there will be those who will become saved after the rapture. And this has caused confusion for some, and that’s why some have gone to the post-tribulational viewpoint because they say, they see us as saints now. They see saints in the tribulation, but they don’t rightly divide the word and they don’t distinguished the saints of the tribulation period are saints who become saints during the tribulation period and are not the saints that are raptured out at the beginning of the tribulation period.
Hopefully that made it clear for you. Anthony called in from Clearwater. He’s not on the air either. And he says, where is it written that the Word of God, the Bible, is the breath of God? Well, 2 Timothy 3 16, a verse ought to be memorized by Christians. It says, all scripture is given by inspiration of God. That phrase in 2 Timothy 3 16, which is a landmark verse, a verse that every Christian ought to know about the about the inspiration of Scripture is really those words given by inspiration of God is really in the Greek God breathed.
So the Bible is really telling us here that God is the breath. You know when I’m speaking right now, let me just tell you the technique. I inhale air. I expel that air across my vocal cords that I’m able to form words and you’re hearing me over the air. Now, the illustration from the Bible is God in dwelt the prophets and the apostles who are the writers of the Bible. God is the author, so he is the breath and that he is the one who breathes out the words through the personalities of the prophets and apostles and this is his word.
And actually it’s not inspiration, it would better be read expiration than inspiration because we don’t speak when we inhale which would be taking it in but we speak when we exhale and that’s the thought here in 2 Timothy 3 16 write it down. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be completely furnished unto all good works. So the Word of God is a complete revelation.
All 66 books make one complete revelation from God that completely equips the believer to do God’s work and is God who is the breath of Scripture. All right, not on the air but Ruth in Tampa calls in and she asked about Leviticus 18 and mentions homosexuality is mentioned there as men to men, but where does the Bible discuss homosexuality with women? It is implied there, Ruth, and throughout the Bible it addresses men as being generic for the human race and for both sexes.
And so men are not allowed to have sex with the same sex, nor are women allowed to have sex with the same sex. And so that I believe is gonna be the answer for you. So women are not to have sex with other women, nor are men to have sex with other men. and certainly having sex with children is obviously also an abomination. And so those that are pedophiles are obviously committing a grievous sin, and we’re seeing that all of this in our face today, aren’t we?
Interesting verse, you want to write this one down Ruth, it’s kind of fascinating. It’s in Isaiah chapter 3, talking about the end times. What does it say? Well, it says in verse 9 about what it will be like. It says, the show of their countenance does witness against them. They declare their sin as Sodom and they hide it not. It says, woe unto their soul or judgment unto their soul. They have rewarded evil unto themselves. Isn’t that a description of today, you could look at them and tell their lifestyle isn’t a healthy lifestyle.
And it’s not a good lifestyle to promote good health. And their countenance witnesses against them. And they declare their sin as Sodom. And it says here, they don’t hide it. Boy, they’re not hiding it today, are they? Holding hands, men with men, in line, hundreds of them going to the courthouse to try to get a license to be married. Well, the Bible says, judgment under their soul for they have rewarded evil unto themselves. Isaiah 3 verse 9, wow, take a look at that.
And the Bible warns that he will of course judge them. And he says, whoa, or judgment to the wicked, it shall be ill with him for the reward of his hands shall be given him. There are consequences for breaking God’s rules and certainly everybody who is practicing homosexuality will experience not only the ill results of that in this life but also for all eternity. All right, our phone number is 1-800-5763771. The phones are ringing at 1-800-576-3771. Do you enjoy this program?
Would you like to see it continue and also to expand? We need your help. We need Bibleline partners. We need people who will vote to keep the program going and help us expand. We need those who will say, I’ll vote by casting my ballot by giving a gift to Bibleline. I’m not asking a gift. I don’t get paid to be on the radio My staff is volunteer here to be on the radio We do this because we believe there’s an urgency Christ is coming back.
Did you hear on the news? hold on to your seats are you are you gripping on to something right now and Asteroid is headed toward planet Earth and They say it is going to miss us at a distance of just 25,000 miles That’s one tenth of the distance between Earth and the Moon. That’s one tenth of the distance that the Moon is from the Earth. The Bible describes in Revelation that an asteroid will strike the Earth during the tribulation period after the Rapture.
Is this kind of like a forewarning? Apparently in astronomer in Mexico first discovered is, Thank God they’ve calculated the course is going to miss us by 25,000 miles. I’ll tell you that ought to make the skin on your arm curl. your arm curl. We’re living in the last days. I believe Christ is coming back soon. I believe we’re watching signs in the heavens that Christ spoke about in Luke 21, 25. This truly could be one of those signs in the heavens.
A piece of rock streaking by missing planet Earth by just 25,000 miles. That is not much space. I’ll tell you, when you talk about the distances this space, only one tenth of the distance between the earth and the moon. I’m sitting up pretty high on my chair today, I don’t think that’s exciting. I think we’re watching in-time events. Gershan Solomon, he’s the head of the Temple Mount Faithful. He’s so excited he can’t hardly stand it. They’ve been cutting the stones, preparing for a building, a third temple.
It could be right around the corner. Let’s say the The Rapture happens later this year, and then Gershan, who is an Orthodox Jew and doesn’t believe that Christ has been here yet, will be left behind. But he could be the very man who will build the temple that we read about in Scripture, that Christ will come back to, that the Antichrist prior to that will desecrate the very man who will build the temple that the Scripture has spoken about, the Prophet spoke about thousands of years ago, that is going to happen shortly after we leave.
something that’s relevant to our lifetime right now. I don’t know what that does for you, but that makes me really excited about my Bible. We’re living in the last days. Susan just called in. She’s not on the air. She’s from Dunedin. She says, wherein the Bible does it say that the 144,000 will go out and be preachers, it is implied in Revelation 7 verses 4 through 8 that they are sealed for this purpose. In verse 9 we see the results of their work and there are millions and millions of all nations and kinners and tongues which get saved as a result of their evangelism.
So it’s implied the results of their three and a half year ministry preaching and all being martyred at the time of the middle of the tribulation period because of their courage and their faith they’ll be killed and they reach millions for Christ. So clearly they do evangelize. Thank you Susan for that question. Susan calling in from Dunedin. We’re getting calls from all directions here on the campus and we invite you to give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. We have callers sometimes leaving their question and maybe if you cannot wait on the line because you’re at work or something, go ahead and tell the operator what your question is and we’ll go ahead and take that up on the year.
So give us a call. 1-800-576-3771. I want to tell you some more about our resources. We have that book on evangelism. That is the best book we’ve got. Somebody came in the other day and said, what is the best book I could buy? And I believe it’s that book that will equip you to evangelize. Tell you what to do, how to open your mouth, what to say when mouth is open. imagines a conversation between you and that lost person, what you’ll say, what they’ll say, what they’ll say, and so on.
And then it talks about specific instances with cult members. It goes through some of the cults and what you would say in a conversation as you discuss it, the Gospel with a cult member. Also with an atheist, an agnostic, an evolutionist. How do you handle these people? book will arm you, get you ready, and give you the words to speak. And you’ll be able to share the gospel and be effective in leading people to Christ. Wouldn’t that be great?
If you have a loved one, somebody in your family, a person you care about, a person that you work with, maybe somebody in your neighborhood. And you want to win them to Christ. This book will equip you to be able to do that. This book is worth its weight in gold and most books do not deal with the one-on-one evangelism situation. why they’re senior evangelism, ghetto evangelism, child evangelism, and teen evangelism, and all kinds of evangelism. But who deals with the one-on-one?
Very few. This book does a dynamite job. We also have that in Spanish as well as English. We also have Scofield Bibles in Spanish and in English. and we have a beautiful leather-bound Spanish English Bible. It’s Schofill. The notes on one page are King James with Schofill notes and on the other page in Spanish with Schofill notes and that’s exciting. All right we have not on the air but Brad in Clearwater calls in and he says will there be people who will take the mark of the beast who will be fighting in the Russian army against Israel.
Good chance of it. The lost pretty much will take the mark of the beast and we’ll just have to wait and see. The mark is the number by which we buy and sell. That’s becoming worldwide today. I got a call from a credit card company and they said we’re shutting your account down. I said why? why they said somebody apparently got your account number and are using it and spending money in Japan. Isn’t that amazing? I said shut it down by all means.
They issued me a new card. But you know it’s scary that credit card theft, identity theft, these things are happening, but no doubt about it. Wherever you go. I remember being down in Luxor, Egypt in a remote place. There was a place that sold, I guess, Egyptian, you know, things to take home for the tourists. I saw some things I wanted to get. I used my credit card. Here we are. It seemed like in the desert wilderness, just not too far from the Nile River.
My credit card worked. Later I got back here to America to Tampa. And sure enough, that purchase showed up on my credit card and it was a legitimate one that I had incurred myself. So yeah, I don’t doubt it because the mark will be a means of people being scanned without the credit card. You can leave your wallet and your credit card’s home and apparently that chip is ready to go. It’s manufactured by a company called here at Chipdown in West Palm Beach and they’re saying it’s ready right now to take credit card transactions.
So that’s exciting. We’re going to Sarasota now and talk to Bob. Bob, welcome to Bibleline. Hi, how are you today good good? I had a I had a I wanted to get a touch on something for me where Paul speaks of after one or two admonitions with someone to reject them as a heretic if he doesn’t respond and Contrast to having lifelong friends that you know we continue or that is to say in a manner of speaking Could you touch on that a little I sure well that verse by the way is in Titus And I’ll talk about that again and get off here and I’ll just talk.
Yeah, I’m gonna open up the line and listen. Okay Bob Bob in Sarasota and the verse is in verse 10 a man that is a heretic after the first and second admonition reject I think this is talking about a person who just doesn’t want to hear doesn’t want to listen Then you need to move on pray for it Maybe an opportunity will come later in the future where they will open up sometimes with as you just mentioned Bob with your family members You don’t want them to go to hell.
You don’t want to give up on them. You have to keep praying But sometimes you might have to just back off a little bit Because if they aren’t gonna listen Then you need to back off a little bit. I Remember one guy backed off on he said I don’t want to hear that and he used some very you know explicit words And I said fine. I said just don’t stop breathing because then you’ll be a believer Don’t stop breathing because then you’ll believe in hell.
You’ll be there and I walked away You know he begged me to come back. He said don’t we wait a minute come back tell explain what you meant by that Five minutes later you trusted Christ. So you know I’m willing to walk away But I let them know that if I walk away and they don’t hear the gospel and understand it and trust the Lord There are deep trouble if you’ve never trusted Christ my friend Would you bow your head right now?
If you’re driving don’t bow your head But just say Lord I’m a sinner. I don’t understand much about the Bible. I I believe Jesus Christ died for me, paid by a sin and sin and full by his death and shed blood, was buried in rose again from the dead. I trust him as my only hope of salvation, my only hope of heaven, and God will save you. Then make that second decision to be a disciple and serve Christ and God will bless you.
And reward you. And I sure pray that you would make that decision if you haven’t done it. Listen to us tomorrow. We’ll be back. Call that 800-number, 1-800-576-3771 up until 3 today. And of course you’re welcome to come by. I’m Dr. Englunds from saying goodbye. Keep looking up. Jesus is coming. Bibleline’s address is 4811 George Road, Tampa, Florida, 3-3-6-3-4, or visit Bibleline Online at BibleLineMinistries.org. Be sure to tune in to another edition of Bibleline from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida. Well, I’m Dr. Angelina Lindstrom, and it’s been great being with you today, and we thank you all for tuning in and telling your friends about the program and helping Bible and reach out to those that are lost, those that are maybe confused about what they believe, maybe are not aware of what the Bible teaches about different doctrines, and hopefully we’re able to clarify and make clear some of those doctrines for those that are listening.
We’re excited about the times in which we’re living in. We know Christ is coming back, and some aspects of it are a little bit frightening because As we know, the darkest hours of human history are about to come upon the earth, and it will be a time of great trial that will afflict everybody on the planet. But of course we know that the real judgments of the tribulation period will not occur until once we the believers have been taken out at the rapture.
And of course that’s the next event. And we look forward to the return of Jesus to snatch us out, to take us up to be with the Lord and that could happen anytime. Perhaps even this year wouldn’t that be something? But definitely I think we need to wake up as believers and get our Bibles out and take a look at the world around us and ask ourselves are we not living in these last days? I think we are. If you want to help Bible and we could use your help and that is pray for us please and then also if you could give to Bible and your help would be greatly appreciated.
We are simply trying to pay the bills and keep these stations on the air and we need your help to be able to do that. Any gift is going to be greatly appreciated and we know that any investment you make will be an investment for eternity and God will richly reward you. Somebody once said, do your giving while you’re living so you’re knowing where it’s going. Do you know where your money will go after you die? You probably don’t, although you might make the best of plans.
You can’t really count on knowing where it’s going while you’re living. And so do that. Would you help Bibleline out? Give us a call on our 800 number and you can give a gift to Bibleline. Or you can mail it in if you want an envelope. You can ask for us to send you one. Just give us a call. Have a great day. Keep looking up and join us again tomorrow as we’ll be back tomorrow at the same time here on Bibleline.
