We thank you for joining us here today, and we trust that you have your Bible handy. As we hope that you’ve heard by now, Bibleline has undergone some format changes.

As we continue Dr. Hank Lindstrom’s ministry of spreading the gospel across the world, Bible Line is now featuring a combination of teachings from Dr. Lindstrom as well as answers to questions about the Bible. This format is one that Dr. Lindstrom had previously wanted to use in other ministry areas, so we feel comfortable that he would have approved of these changes. As we continue to refine Bible Lines’ format over the coming weeks and months, we ask for your prayers and your patience.

Please tell your friends and family about Bibleline. If Bibleline isn’t being broadcast in their area, then please ask them to visit our website at BibleLineMinistries.org. As you listen to future Bible-ign programs and detail teachings from the Word of God that will be featured, perhaps you could help lead someone to Christ through the lessons being taught. In the current teaching series, we have been covering a variety of topics related to the events leading up to and surrounding the resurrection of Jesus.

So far we’ve learned about the wages of sin, everlasting life, the triumphant entry, and Palm Sunday. This week we will cover topics such as the Passover, the crucifixion and burial of Jesus, and of course the resurrection of Jesus. If you’d like to hear Dr. Lindstrom’s entire series on the resurrection, please call our resource center at 1-800-576-3771. Now please join us as we hear excerpts from Dr. Lindstrom’s 2007 Sundown Service. Paul, we find here in Acts chapter 13, had visited a synagogue because he was trying to reach his Jewish brethren as Paul and all the apostles were Jewish.

The leader of the synagogue, it says in verse 15, after the reading of the law and the prophets, The rulers of the synagogue sent unto them saying, You men and brethren, if you have any word of excitation for the people, say on. Well, look at what Paul does. Then Paul stood up and said, I’ve got something to say. And Paul stood up and shared the gospel story. But I want you to jump down to verse 26 where Paul says to this Jewish audience, men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you, feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

This message of Christ, death, burial, and resurrection is a message sent to all the world, to all the people on this planet. The Bible tells us that this message is to all of us in the human race, all of us are sinners, all of us in need of a Savior. says here in verse 27, for they that dwell a Jerusalem and their rulers because they knew Him not. Who are they talking about? Jesus. They didn’t recognize that He was their Messiah.

Even though He had plainly stated that He was the Messiah, that He was God who took on flesh, they rejected His claims. Nor yet the voices of the prophets, which are read every Sabbath day. That’s true to this very hour. If you visit a synagogue, you’ll find they pull out the scrolls and they read from the Bible every time they meet on the Sabbath. I was attending in Orthodox synagogue and several times the rabbi would ask me to come forward and take the scrolls down and present them to the reader and they would read from the scriptures.

Interesting. I felt very honored that they would do that. But the Scriptures are read, but yet they don’t see the meaning. It’s there. And as I would look at their prayer book and as I would see the passages they would be quoting, I would say, that’s all about Jesus Christ. That’s all about the Savior, the Messiah. And yet it seems like blinders are over the eyes of so many that they don’t see who He is. And it says here, they would read the Scriptures.

They didn’t recognize Him nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every Sabbath day. It says they have fulfilled them in condemning Him. You know, the very passages that were reading spoke about how Christ would be condemned and how He would die, how He would pay for our sins, and how that He would be buried, and how He would rise again from the dead. Isn’t that amazing? They were reading the prophecies and didn’t realize the one that the prophecy spoke of was right there in their midst.

Jesus Christ, God who took on flesh, right there. And then it says here, “…and though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate, that he should be slain. They couldn’t find any fault, because he was the faultless, blameless, sinless son of God, the lamb of God that would be slain to pay for the sins of the world.” Passover was a busy time. People would come from all over to celebrate the Passover in Jerusalem, the only place where they could offer the sacrifice and they would bring their lambs and then the priest would examine them to see that they were without blemish and without spot because it was a picture of Christ who would be sinless, without blemish, without spot.

And then once they had a sinless lamb, they would actually say, behold the lamb. And then that lamb would be taken to be slain. And it’s interesting that John the Baptist, when he saw Jesus, said what? Behold the Lamb that take it the way the sin of the world. This was the Lamb. This was the Lamb that in every Passover when the Jews would pick out a Lamb sinless and they would say, Behold the Lamb. This is the Lamb that I’m going to slay.

This is the Lamb that I’m going to offer up. We find that John the Baptist said about Christ, this is the Lamb of God. the one that is to be slain to pay for the sins of the whole world. And so we find here it tells us that even though there was no fault found in him, verse 28 of Acts 13, they desired Pilate that he should be slain. Verse 29, and when they had fulfilled all, all that was written of him, isn’t it interesting?

It tells us that there was many, many, many, many passages about Christ about Christ in the Old Testament and how He would be slain. It says they took Him down from the tree and they laid Him in a sepulchre, verse 30. It’s a short verse, but perhaps most incredible here, among all the others, but God raised Him from the dead. Wow, that’s a little teeny verse, but what power is there? Because God raised Him from the dead. Jesus Christ died.

Yes, He fulfilled the Scriptures in dying to pay for our sins. But God raised Him from the dead, and that set Him apart from everyone else in all of history. Only Jesus came back from the dead of His own power and of His own will. Then verse 31, and He was seen, you might want to market if it’s your Bible, many days. Many days. You know, there wasn’t just one quick appearance, and somebody’s saying, hey, I think I saw For 40 days Christ shows Himself alive.

He sits down with them, He eats with them. He invites them to touch Him. He says, touch me, behold, handle me that a spirit has not flesh and bones as you see me have. And so He was seen many days of them which came up with Him from Galileated Jerusalem, who are His witnesses unto the people. And we declare unto you, glad tidings, good news how that the promise which was made under the fathers, that promise began back in the early pages of Genesis.

A promise made to Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob, and even before to Adam and Eve, a promise of a Savior, one who had come to redeem the human race. Look at what it says in verse 33. have fulfilled the same unto us their children.” And amazing. Paul is saying, wake up, because we are living, we are the children of those ancestors of ours who were given the promise, but the promise is now fulfilled in our generation. And they were living to see the first coming.

of Jesus Christ. You know he’s coming again and he couldn’t come again if he weren’t risen from the dead. And it says here, God has fulfilled the same unto us, and children ended the earth what? Raised up Jesus again. And then it says as it is written in the second Psalm. You know throughout the Bible and the Bible quotes here Old Testament passages that had foretold this wonderful truth about Jesus Christ. I think when you hear that in the end of the day, Jesus is the Lord.

have the right interpretation, the whole Bible just locks in and demonstrates to be an agreement, and that is the reason why you know you have the right interpretation. I love, if you get my crucifixion chart, we have more down the hall, but I take their Exodus 12, where the Passover was to be in the first month of the year when they came out of Egypt, which is in the spring, And on the 10th day, they would select a lamb.

And we believe that was Palm Sunday of the Crucifixion Week. So Sunday was the 10th day of Nisan. And then, as was true in all those years that the Passover was had, that the priest or the leaders would examine to make sure that the lamb was without blemish, without spot. So it happened with Christ that on Monday and Tuesday, he was examined and throughout all Tuesday night until he finally stood before Pilate early Wednesday morning. And Pilate declared the result that all the others had already found out.

He says, I find no fault in this man. And then he stands before the crowd and says, Behold the man. And of course, not quite the same as Behold the Lamb, but Pilate was not a Jew. But he said, This is the one. Behold the man. And they rejected him. religious leaders rejected him. And they said, crucify him, crucify him. And of course, Pilate caves in, and he allows him then to be taken to be crucified. Amazingly, that happened, we believe, on Wednesday morning.

And that would have been before the sun had come up because the Bible says it was at six o’clock that Pilate then brought him before the people and said that I find no fault in him. And it was then that the crowd cried out for his death. And so they had three hours then to take Christ out to the hill of Calvary. They didn’t have much time. And so they had to get the body down. They had to prepare it and get it in the tomb.

And it was really just no more than a couple hundred feet at most between the two spots where Christ had died and where he was laid in the tomb. Christ left an empty tomb as a witness that he was risen again from the dead. Thanks for joining us today. We hope that you’re enjoying today’s teaching on the resurrection. We now are going to go to Lois down in Bradenton, Florida. So welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Joy, your program, Dr. Linson. We listen every day. Wonderful. And I’ve learned so much. Now the problem I’m wondering about, I know that the gospel is the death, burial resurrection of Jesus and he died for our sins and about trusting in him.

But I was just wondering when Jesus was on the earth, what did he preach? I mean, it couldn’t have been the gospel because he was still alive. And I know he spoke in parables, but what I’m John spoke in for repentance, and I was just wondering what… Jesus and what people say during the time he was on earth. Absolutely. Let me just say that John 3 16. Guess what? It’s spoken by Jesus very early on in his ministry. He said for God so loved the world.

That’s all of us that he gave his only begotten son. He’s talking about himself that whosoever would believe or trust in Christ should not perish but have everlasting life. So there’s a gospel that that’s right. That’s right. Okay. Okay. So it’s right. right there. So that’s what he preached. That’s what he preached. And John the Baptist before him preached the same thing. If you look at John 3 36, it’s a direct quote from John the Baptist and it said there that Jesus rather John the Baptist said he the belief of on the sun has everlasting life.

He the belief of not the sun shall not see life but the wrath of God abideth on him. So John the Baptist also preached a very clear message that it wasn’t that they’re all in resurrection that he peed well yes it was and that’s what he taught he taught he was going to die it says in numerous verses that uh… jesus would uh… uh… go to the cross and he’d be delivered in the hands of sinful men and he would be crucified and rise again from the dead uh…

and and you see that early on throughout mathy’s gospel mark and luke i’ll give you a quote here from a matthew And here Jesus is a beginning in, let’s see here, I’ll give you one of those quotes where Jesus says that he was going to be turned over to the religious leaders of Israel and be rejected and crucified and so on. It says here in verse 21 of Matthew 16, from that time forth began Jesus to show unto his disciples how that he must go up unto Jerusalem and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes and be killed and be raised again the third day.

So it’s all there. Okay. So he did preach about that. Yes, he did. Yes, he did. Okay. Okay. I just wondered about that, you know, because I knew what the gossle was and I thought, well, he was still alive and in the Old Testament too didn’t they say they predict that too. Absolutely, Lois. That’s exactly right. That’s a good question. Glad you brought it up. Okay. Thank you so much, Dr. Lince. Okay. Thank you, Lois. That was Lois Dunn in Brandon, Florida.

We have Jack in Lakeland, Florida, and he says in regard to Matthew 2435, please explain why heaven passes away. Also, who are the saints that rise up from the graves and appear in the city? Well, I think we’ve got two different questions going on here. In Matthew 24, 35, Jesus said, heaven and earth will pass away, but my words shall never pass away. So we know that the universe is not eternal, but God is eternal and his words are eternal.

So he’s referring to that. And you know, that’s a fact. The universe is getting older and it tells us in the scriptures that the universe is growing older. But God does not age, God does not have a clock on him and he will abide forever and ever. And Jesus had his words which are God’s words because Christ is God will abide forever and ever, Matthew 24, 35. The saints that rise up from the graves appear in the city, that’s in Matthew 27 where it It says that after Christ came back from the dead, he had a number of the Old Testament Saints that rose up with him and were given the resurrection bodies and they walked into the city of Jerusalem and appeared.

And these are those Old Testament Saints that were a sampling of the resurrection of the believers that will happen at the Second Company of Christ. The Feast of First Fruits Day, which was the day that Christ rose from the dead, was a day in the Old Testament when they would take a sampling of the harvest. They would go out in the fields and grab it, and bring it before the priest and wave it as a sampling of the harvest that was to come.

It was a picture of the resurrection, and Christ here gave a sampling of the resurrection by giving the resurrection bodies to a number of the Old Testament believers, and they walked in the Jerusalem and appeared in the city and that was a sample of what will happen at the Second Coming of Christ when the dead will be given their resurrection bodies at that time. We’re now going to go to Yolanda down in Miami, Florida and Yolanda, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air.

Dr. Hank? Yeah. Yes. Hello. I was calling Dr. Hank because I want to make sure, let me turn off my radio. I want to make sure that you explain to me and to the listening audience. Yesterday you mentioned that there was that Jesus Christ had descended into paradise. Now, could you explain to me then why is it that when Jesus walked this earth, he spoke to whether the disciples or his followers sing? There was one man named Lazarus and when he died as well as the rich man died, they were separated and there was a big hedge between he and the rich man.

And also he was in the bosom of Abraham. Now where was Abraham and Lazarus and where was this man that was begging for just a little drop of water from Lazarus’ hands? Can you explain that to me? Well sure do that. There are two… I’m going to hang up and I’m going to listen in. Okay, Yolana. The place in the Old Testament is called Shiel, S-H-E-O-L. In the Greek, in the New Testament is called Hades. Same place. It’s a hollow place in the heart of the earth where there are two compartments.

One is a place of torment where the rich man went and is still there. And the other part is paradise, a place of comfort where Lazarus the beggar went and also where the dying thief went. where Christ went for three days and three nights. Now if you read Ephesians 4, beginning in verse 8 through 10, it tells us that Christ, now, what is it that when He ascended upon high, He led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men? And He that us ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

And He that descended It is the same that ascended up far above all heavens. Well we find that Christ went down to the heart of the earth, announced victory and delivered all the people that were saved from paradise and took them up to heaven. Paradise is now in heaven. Basically in Ephesians 4 Christ went for those three days and three nights in the heart of the earth where the believers of the Old Testament were waiting for sin to be paid for.

He announces that he had victory over sin and paid for those sins and now delivers those that were captive. They’re waiting for that payment to be made up to heaven. So the Old Testament saints all resided in Paradise in the heart of the earth and then they were delivered from there and taken up to heaven by Christ at the end of the three days and now Paradise is in heaven itself according to 2 Corinthians 12, 1 through 3. We know we’re going to go to Sam in Lakeland, Florida and Sam, welcome to Bible in your own year.

Hello, I enjoy your conversation there. I wouldn’t ask some of you about God was saying something to you last week. He was talking about it. He said every year we come around and you be teaching on the earth. That ain’t giving me the Easter reason, Jesus’ reason. And he said to him that it only didn’t matter that Jesus was roped. that every year you have children standing raising up cheering all the time. So you have to always teach every year because cheering have never heard that.

So you have to reach that all the time, didn’t you? Absolutely, sure. The death penalty resurrection is the heartbeat of the Bible. And you can’t escape it from the very beginning pages of Genesis right on through the last book of Revelation. The Bible talks about the blood. It talks about the death of Christ and either in type or specific prophecies about it. And then of course the actual gospels telling the story of how it really happened. And without that message you can’t be saved.

You have to believe the gospel is Romans 1 16, so that I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For it the gospel is the power of God and the salvation to everyone that I believe in. So Sam thank you for that call. We appreciate that. We hope that you are learning with us As we listened to this question and answer segment, featuring Dr. Hank Lindstrom and previous Bibleline callers. biblical calendar, the lunar calendar, and so, Passover. This is really the time when Jesus would have been crucified and it’s interesting to kind of think about that all over again that Jesus Christ died as the Passover Lamb. What I find interesting is that every year the Jewish people are celebrating Passover, but guess what? They don’t talk about the Lamb and they don’t talk about the blood. In the Passover, if you read Exodus, they were to take the blood of the slain lamb and apply it to their doorpost.

Then when the angel of the Lord came through Egypt at midnight, he would pass over in judgment all the homes that had applied the blood. Well, nothing today in the celebration is about the blood. The Jewish people do nothing to relive the part of the blood or the sacrifice of the lamb. It simply is a dried up ritual where they have forgotten the center of the Passover was the lamb that was the Passover lamb. And without the lamb, without the blood, there can be no forgiveness of sin.

In Leviticus 1711 Moses said, The life of the flesh is in the blood. What an amazing scientific statement. That was written thousands of years ago and only rather recently have we discovered that the life of our flesh is in our blood. From Aristotle on down, men taught that the body was bisected into two parts, the left side and the right side and the blood in the body flowed independently from one side to the other side and that basically the head was like the radiator on your car, the place where I guess things cooled off.

And basically if you had diseases or health problems, it was caused by demons or evil spirits in your blood and so they would, in ancient days, if you got sick and you went to the doctor, he would prescribe a beating. So they would flog you. Wouldn’t that be nice? He didn’t feel too well and you go to the doctor and say, Doc, what do I need? Well, let’s go ahead and flog you for a while. So they’d pee up on you and you’d feel worse when you get all done.

But supposedly, they’d drive out the evil diseases and the evil spirits. Then, of course, men advanced and they came along with bloodletting. They said, it’s an easier way. Let’s just cut you and we’ll let you bleed. And so even as little as a couple hundred years ago. Our first president died because of that practice. You know, George Washington, we are told, contracted double pneumonia. They called the best physicians we had in our country to his side and they prescribed bloodletting.

That’s right. And according to the records, they drained out three pints of blood from George Washington. Today we know medically looking back, George died because of the loss of blood. He could have possibly survived if these doctors hadn’t had him. In that a tragedy, our first president, I actually died because of blood letting. You know, in those days the barber would help out and that’s why you have the red striped on the barber shops in the ancient days and of course even up until today.

And a reminder how they would cut your wrist. And it was very scientific, they thought. They would drain out a certain amount out of your right wrist, measure it, then they would cut your other wrist and drain out an equal amount because they didn’t want you to walk lopsided because the blood on the left side of your body flowed independently from the blood on your right side. And if you drained out a pine on the right side, you needed to drain out a pine on the left side.

Aren’t you glad the doctors today don’t do that? My goodness. And it wasn’t that long ago. Just our first president died of bloodletting. Today it’s all changed, hasn’t it? You go to the doctor’s office and that nurse comes up with a big smile and she reaches out to grab your hand and you think she’s going to shake it being friendly and all of a sudden she stabs into your finger and you’re bleeding and she takes that blood and smears it on a piece of glass and they run into the room where the microscope is and they look in there and they come out and they say oh my goodness now we know why you’re sick look at all those things crawling around in your blood well obviously they look in the at your blood to determine your health first thing the doctor wants to do is do some blood work doesn’t he

well that’s the way it’s changed and now instead of draining your blood out They put fluid in, you know, it’s unfashionable to be in the hospital and not have an IV hooked up to you. They always want to hook one of those things. The first thing they like to do is the nurse comes in and tries to find a vein in your arm and they get this IV all taped up to you and then they hook a bag up on a on a on a pole and they let that stuff drip drip drip drip down inside of you so they don’t drain it out they put more fluid in things are really reversible it says them a bit of a 1711 write it down the life of the flesh is in the blood.

We now have Jim and he’s in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Jim, welcome to Bibleline your on the line, Aaron.

Thank you very much. You’ve really gotten my attention. I’m sure you’ve gotten a lot of people’s attention. And what I was going to ask if you could do would be elaborate further the best you can in regard to the current events that are facing us globally as far as all the issues that are on the table as far as the economy, the pope being here of the whole situation in a nutshell and tied to what you know in prophecy.

And I just really think that this is just a wake up call. And I believe that a lot of people are going to start taking this more seriously and call up on the Lord for salvation because they are anxious and fearful. So that was what I was on the ask. I know you’ve been talking about it, but I just know you’re very knowledgeable and just I wish that you’d do that for. Well, we’ll do a little bit here. You know, this morning there was an earthquake in Indiana, 5.2 magnitude.

And there’s earthquakes in diverse places. I think yesterday we mentioned that off the course coast of Oregon that there were 600 earthquakes in the past 10 days. And so there’s earthquakes in diverse places just like Christ said in Matthew 24. But in the end times, if you read the book of Revelation, there will be a world church that is called the woman, the woman, the woman, the woman, the woman. And there’s only one church in the world. If you had no knowledge of anything that exalts a woman to the very top, and that’s the Roman Catholic Church that exalts Mary right to the very top where a few years ago they were talking about actually petitioning the Pope, Pope John at that time, to actually use his papal powers as a pope to decree that Mary would be the fourth member of the Trinity.

Instead of the holy trinity, there would have been the holy quartet. That was for real. I think that they received millions of these petitions signed by parishioners asking the pope to do that. Of course, he never did that, which would have been a terrible mistake. But Mary is elevated to the very top of the church in Catholicism. Pope John at his death said that he was counting on Mary to guide him into his eternal future and he had a big M carved into that wooden casket that he was buried in and inside his robe as he came forth in those final days.

He had a big M in blazing inside his robe wherever he went. He obviously believed in his prayers to Mary would help him and was trusting in Mary, not Jesus, to get him to heaven. Unfortunately, this is a deception and this church is called the mother of Harlitz and is emblazoned with the title according to Revelation, Babylon, mystery Babylon. A mother of Harlets and these ancient mysteries. Well, that takes us all the way back to Genesis chapter 10 and the worship of a mother and her son.

And when Constantine came along, that mother and son became Mary and Jesus. And we see them obviously in the way that they were presented by this ancient system, where the mother was dominant, the child was somewhat silent, and you were to listen to Mary and pray to Mary. and Jesus became a lower entity in the whole mix. In any case, we see that happening, as it says in Revelation 17, that the woman will ride the beast. The beast is the antichrist.

And we mentioned earlier in this program about how he’ll come out of this country. And here we have the woman and the president of our country coming together this week. And I think it’s the beginning of what will happen in the tribulation period after the rapture. will have a merger of Catholic power and the political power of the United States and the Antichrist will be aided in his rise to power by the Catholic Church. We also see the fact that there would be war and rumors of war and the fact that the Middle East would be the focus of the world.

And if you’re reading on the internet and you just look up war in the Middle East, you’ll get dozens of sites that say the United States is ready to attack Iran. We don’t hear it in our local news here. In fact, people say, where do you get this support for? Well, you can look at nearly every website that’s out there, and they’re all talking about it on WorldNet Daily and on CNN.com, and everything is talking about the US is ready to attack Iran.

And probably they say between May 1st and the end of June of this year. So that means in the next week or two we could be at war in the Middle East. We also know financially the Bible says that there’s going to be a financial collapse biblically and we can see our dollar hit a downward and it’s going to become virtually worthless and we find that people are beginning to realize that and they see the price of oil the pump and they see the prices in the grocery store and everywhere rising.

We’re headed toward, we believe, and newscasters are now starting to gently use the D word rather than the R word and that is depression. That we might experience a tremendous financial collapse in this country and in the world. And it’s a global thing. Just go on the internet and do some googling around and you’ll find that the world is concerned, the whole world economy. is ready for a deep plunge. And so we’re headed for the events, I believe, of the tribulation period.

And I’m glad I’m leaving it to Rapture. As every believer will be snatched out of this world and meet the Lord in the air. And I think we’re getting very, very close to those events. Plus we have the incurable diseases that Christ spoke about in Matthew 24. And they’ve got this new one now in Texas where people feel like they’ve got worms crawling under their skin and they break out into lesions, and out of these lesions come fibers that are actually manufactured within the human body.

Doctors are totally puzzled. They have no clue as to what is going on. This is just one of the, it’s called, Mort Ellis. And you can look up on the internet and see the video of the newscasters talking about it with doctors showing you the pictures of this fiber that is manufactured within the body of these people who have this disease. And you might want to take a look at it too. I believe it’s spelled M-O-R-G-L-L-A-N-S, more gelans, and you can catch it on the Google and see video footage of it, and it’s scary.

Along with, of course, AIDS and the Ebola virus and the West Nile virus and the Asian bird virus and a host of other things and all the STDs and other sexually transmitted diseases today. It’s really a world of incurable diseases that are out there, and we’re, I think, very definitely living in the last days. Jim, I thank you for your call, and I hope that that’s helped a little bit. There’s so much that we couldn’t even touch it in one broadcast, but the Scriptures are clear that the darkest hour of human history is yet ahead.

Jesus said in Matthew 24, and you might want to look at this verse, it says that this tribulation period that we talk about, he says, then shall be great tribulation, verse 21 of Matthew 24, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no nor shall ever be. In other words, there will never be a time as bad as what’s coming up. Again, in the future after it happens, nor has there ever been in the past.

And you can look at the darkest hours of history in the past as you read your history books and the time ahead that’s going to be worse than that. And so I’m glad I’m leaving it to Rapture and I’m sure you are too. And I think people need to wake up to these signs and realize it’s time to trust the Lord if they haven’t because without Christ they’ll never make heaven. This wraps up today’s question and answer segment about the Bible featuring Dr.

And we believed that it was at 9 o’clock in the morning that he was nailed to the cross. And then from 9 to 3, the crowd below spit upon him, mocked him, and laughed at him, and humiliated him. It must have been an awful, awful experience, not only to be in pain and dying, but to have a crowd that hated you and were glad to see you die. seems so unreal because there was nothing that he had done wrong.

There was no cause of death in him, and yet they demanded his death. And then of course from 12 o’clock till 3, God shut out the lights. It’s as a darkness came on the whole land. The last three hours on the cross were somewhat private between God and the man Jesus. And here, apparently, our sins were laid upon him, and he who knew no sin was made to be sin, so that we might be made to be His righteousness.

And we find that Christ cries out, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? And we know that it was because of your sin in mind. This is the moment that he knew was coming, that he dreaded. If you read about the evening in the garden before he was betrayed, he agonized over the fact that this wrath of God would come upon him because of your sin and mine. And it says that he sweat drops of blood. As Christ agonized and said, Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me.

That was the cup of God’s wrath being poured out upon him because of your sin and mine. And we know that He said, nevertheless, not my will, but thy will be done. And Christ prayed this three times. And each time He went to His disciples and said, can you guys stay awake and pray with me and pray that you enter not into temptation? Well they apparently couldn’t. They fell asleep each time. And as a result, they all did fall into temptation, didn’t they?

Because they all wound up denying Him, wound up fleeing from Him. denied the Lord. The other disciples fled and they forsook him and Christ was all alone when he was on the cross. It seemed so sad when you ask yourself when it came down to the crucifixion, where were the thousands that he had fed? Where were all the many that he had healed? Where were all those that had followed him over those three years? Where Where were those twelve that were supposedly loyal to him?

Jesus was truly, as Isaiah said, forsaken and abandoned, and He died all alone. And those last three hours were all alone between He and God as He took your sin and mind and paid for it in its entirety. And then at three he dies. And then the Passover starts at 6. You know, the Jewish day begins at sundown. And so Passover began at 6. They had three hours then to get the body off of the cross and in the tomb.

It had to be hurriedly done. And they managed to quickly get it down, get it prepared, get it in the tomb before Passover so that the Passover wouldn’t be violated. And then for 72 hours Christ’s body lay in the tomb. It’s clear it’s 72 hours because Jesus said in Matthew 1240, He’d be three days and three nights. He defines the length of a day and a night in John chapter 11 verse 9. He says, are there not 12 hours in a day?

The day light peered was 12 hours. The night peered was 12 hours. And if you have three days and three nights, that’s 72 hours. If he’s placed in the grave at sundown, he must come out of the grave at sundown, the price would have risen at sundown. In the morning, nobody saw the resurrection. They came in the morning, not even expecting a resurrection. It’s kind of a disappointment really when you think about what happened to all these people that he had preached to and had influenced.

He had told them numerous times he would come back again from the dead. But the women came early in the morning bringing spices wide to finish the herd burial that had been done so hurried three days earlier. And they come in the morning and they were really wondering how are we going to get that stone rolled away. This would be a stone about seven feet high and about yay wide and more like the shape of a tire, not a round stone as we often see in our Sunday school pamphlets and things that I saw as a kid.

And they estimate it probably weight about seven tons. That’s about three and a half cars. And I don’t think those women could move three and a half cars. I don’t think any men could move three and a half cars. That’s a lot of weight to move. And they were probably saying we may not be able to get into that tomb. But the angel rolled it away and they went inside and it says in Luke’s Gospel, they found not. They found not.

They found not the body. body, not in a resurrection. And then two angels were there and they frightened these ladies and the angels told them, why are you here? Why do you seek the living among the dead? He’s not here. He’s risen just like he told you. And the angels reminded them of what he had preached earlier to them in Galilee. And it says they remembered his words. The women excited then left and told the apostles, and you would have thought those spiritual giants would have leaped upon the moment and got excited.

But it says in Luke 24, the women’s words to them about Christ being risen seem to them as idle tales, and they believed them not. And amazing, even the apostles didn’t believe that Jesus had risen. Not till they had seen him, not till they had touched him. And of course you remember the one disciple, Thomas. And Thomas was not present when they had seen him. And Thomas says, I don’t believe it. He says, I refuse to believe. And notice, Thomas was focused on this body.

How could it live again? He said, unless I can put my finger and thrust it into the wound in his hands, probably in the wrist area because that’s where they crucified people. This would not support the body weight and the artists usually get it wrong. But the evidence of people crucified by Romans is this is where they put the spike. And he said, apparently the spike was large enough that his finger could go right through into that wound through his hand.

Can you imagine put the finger in and go out the other side? That’s what we’re talking about here, a wound that would go clear through as it spiked his wrist to the cross. Unless I can thrust it in the wounds in his feet, which he would again be able to go clear through with his finger. Unless I can thrust my fist where the solvers spear had pierced his chest cavity. Apparently the wound in his chest was such a large wound that his entire fist could be thrust up into the chest cavity of Christ.

Well, eight days later we read in John’s Gospel chapter 20 that the disciples were gathered together again. This time Thomas was with them and we find that Jesus just focuses on Thomas. He says, Thomas, come here. Thomas, bring your finger over here and thrust it into the wound of my hand. He knew what Thomas had said a week earlier. Take your fist and thrust it up into my chest cavity. We don’t have any record that Thomas walked over and did that.

Whether he did or did not, we don’t know. But we know that we have his remarks recorded for us, and he cries out, “‘My Lord and my God.'” Thomas realized that he had to be God to be able to bring that body that had no blood, no body fluids in it back to life again. Wow. And obviously it seems like they all had to be convinced of the resurrection. Convincing proof had to be brought forth. They just didn’t say, oh, he’s back.

They wanted the evidence. And Jesus said, behold my hands and my feet that it’s I. Handled me in sea for a spirit hath not flesh and bones as you see me have. And from that moment on, these men became courageous, where they were cowards. And now they’re willing to die. And tradition tells us, history tells us, that most all the disciples were martyred because of their stand in proclaiming Christ. And as you read through the New Testament, the resurrection is the major theme, that Christ was risen from the dead.

as we pointed out, what Paul taught there at Passitta, where heIDES that the Scriptures fulfilled when they condemned him, but God raised him from the dead. And then he was seen by many, for many days, as he showed himself alive. And of course, that’s really what would have happened at sundown. would have come out of the grave after having been in the grave a full 72 hours. And then of course, as we said, Pwrpointers, they discovered a tomb empty.

And then later, in over the next 40 days, Christ appears again and again. And then he’s teaching them one last time on the Mount of Olives, and then they watch him ascend visibly out of their sight. And he’s going to descend to the very same spot when he comes at the second coming. The Bible says his feet will touch on the Mount of Olives and it’s going to split in half. Be sure to tune in to another edition of Bibleline from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida. Well this is Bibleline, I’m Dr. HankWAYS, andposted. We’re going to get into the Bible for a few minutes.ccess the life of the flesh is in the Cruz.

God knew that. The Bible taught it. redes The blood is the atonement for the soul. Interestingly, the Jewish people, and I have led many Jewish people to Christ, have many The wonderful verse says, and I’ve given it to you the blood that is upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls for it says in Leviticus 1711 for the blood, the blood, the blood is the atonement for the soul. Interestingly, the Jewish people, and I’ve led many Jewish people to Christ, And we have many in our YPG members thatzbollah members.

(). Jesus Christ as their Messiah. But you know, when they observe the Passover as unbelievers, as Jews, that have not accepted their Messiah, they don’t talk about the blood anymore. They don’t even really talk about the lamb anymore. They talk about the Egypt experience of being delivered from slavery and how they came out of Egypt. They talk about the bitterness of that experience and the bitter herbs and the other things that they have at the Passover meal. But I’m afraid the real heart of the message that of a lamb being taken and slain in this blood being applied to the doorpost is not even talked about today.

Amazing, isn’t it? But you know, that’s what it’s all about. And so if you’re Jewish or if you’re talking to somebody who’s Jewish, you need to bring up the blood and say, where is your blood sacrifice? Moses taught Leviticus 1711. It’s the blood that makes an atonement for your soul. And the Jewish people have an offered a blend sacrifice for 2,000 years. What are they going to do? How will their sins be taken care of? They have no atonement for their sin because the blood is the atonement.

Read Leviticus 1711, the life of the flesh is in the blood. God says, I’ve given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that make it an atonement for your soul. Great question. And of course the answer is Jesus came at 1st, 1st, Grindians 5, 7, for even Christ our Passover, our Passover, our Passover is sacrificed for us. Jesus died as the Passover Lamb. All that apply His blood, His blood, His blood, My faith, trusting that that blood paid our sin debt and full and washed our sins away.

all that apply the blood of Jesus Christ by faith when God comes in judgment one day, God will pass over all those that have applied the blood of Jesus the Passover Lamb. Write that verse down. First Corinthians 5-7, for even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us and when you apply his blood by faith trusting that he died and and shed his blood for you was buried and then rose again from the dead. God my friend will pass over you in judgment and you will enter heaven and you will live with the Lord forever and ever.

But if you die without the blood of Christ, having washed away your sin, you will not enter heaven and that is so sad, especially. As I know Jewish families around the world will be celebrating Passover, and yet they’ll not talk about the Lamb, they’ll not talk about the blood, and they haven’t offered a blood sacrifice since 80-70 when the first temple, rather the second temple was destroyed, the temple called Herod’s temple, and the reason why is Jesus of course came, and God said this temple is going to be destroyed and it was destroyed.

We’re coming close to the rapture and I believe that the second time Christ’s return will come back is coming soon and there’ll be a third temple built and Christ will come back to a standing temple. I think we’re close because those stones are already cut and things are prepared for Christ’s return. We’re living in exciting days. I hope you’ve trusted that Christ shed his blood for your sin when you trust him as your Only hope of heaven that he died and shed his blood and paid your sin that before was buried and grossed the infront of that God’s sin.
