Lindstrom’s teaching for today. I’m going to have you go all the way over to the book of Revelation. Let’s go over now to chapter 17. I don’t ever remember ten nations fighting Jesus Christ and losing. Obviously, this is still future is what I’m saying. All of this is still future. But I believe in the very near future because I believe we’re getting very, very close to the return of Christ. So it says here, these shall make war with the Lamb and the Lamb shall what overcome them, for he is what?
Lord of Lords and King of Kings and they that are with them. That’s us who are caught up at the rapture and come back with him seven years later, the the Second Coming, and they that are with Him are called and chosen and faithful. That’s when Christ comes back. We’re going to rule and reign with Him, and He’ll rule as King of Kings and Lord of Lords over the whole earth. It obviously has not happened. So anybody who tries to tell you that Revelation 17 has already happened is obviously not connected to reality.
This battle has never occurred. But this is definitely talking about Rome as the Roman Catholic Church admits in the footnotes and all their Roman-capping Bibles, but this chapter really pronounces a judgment against them because of their false belief system and how they have a system that can be traced all the way back to Genesis chapter 10 and Nimrod and his wife, Simoramis and her son, Tum, Sun Tanmuz, who we most often see in the Bible as asthroth and Baal.
So here we have Again, a summary of the nations in John and in Daniel, but Revelation takes us even back further to the five that are fallen to Egypt and in Assyria, then Babylon, then the Meda Persian Empire, then Greece, those five are fallen. One was in power when he wrote this Rome, and then he says, the ten horns are really those who don’t have a kingdom as yet, but in the end times there will be ten separate nations that will really come together in this common market and that then the Antichrist will wind up controlling them and they’ll give their power and they’ll give their authority over to him.
So they’ll be one and they have come together as one and they will give their power over. When he takes three up of the roots they’ll give their power over to the Antichrist and that will be the eighth world power and that will be just… For 42 months duration, the Antichrist will actually rule the Western world from the middle of the tribulation till the end. It’s at the same time that this battle takes place in heaven that we covered last class in the spirit world where Satan and his angels battle against Michael and God’s angels and he loses control of the airspace.
But he’s controlling the nations of the West from the Middle East and from Jerusalem. All right, we’re back now to Daniel chapter 8. But that gives you the big overall picture, and we’re fitting all this into that. Verse 5, I was considering, behold, an Ego came up from the West on the face of the whole earth. Everything is geographic from Israel or from Jerusalem, and to the West would be Greece. So now the world powers are expanding Westward, and the image grows Westward.
If we were to line the image up, the head would be Babylon, then the meetup Persians, and then Greece further west, and then Rome further west, and then the tin, toes in Europe, and then the 11th coming up farther to the west, the United States of America. And it would seem like the whole image would stand up in America, but the Bible says that But in the end times, the image would be stood up where it began upon its base, which is where?
In Iraq. Where did Babylon begin? It began in Iraq. So when the image is fully completed and you have all these world powers that kind of combine themselves into this Western conglomerate that makes the full image, the image stands up but it stands up back in Iraq and we’re right now back in Iraq, aren’t we? Wow. seeing the in times, you know, about ready to come to a conclusion here and we’re just waiting for the Rapture. I mean the Rapture I believe is very soon and although we’re not date setters it can’t be too far away.
Never before we’ve seen the things that we see happening right now that seem to just be fitting exactly what I’m saying here tonight. Alright, then it says here, verse 6, he came to the ram that had two horns, which had seen standing before the river and ran unto him in the fury of his power. And now so I am come close unto the ram, and he moved him against him, and he smote the ram and break his two horns.
That is Greece or Alexander defeating the Mediperson Empire. And we find here in verse 8 that the He goat then, which is Greece and in particular the ruler of Greece, which was Alexander, wax very great. And when he was strong, the great horn was broken. And that is Alexander died. And it says here, for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven. What happened when Alexander died was his kingdom was divided up among his four generals.
And so we believe this is what happened when Alexander died. It was one of his control, but then his four generals each ruled a different part of what was Greece, verse 9. And out of one of them came forth a little horn which waxed exceeding great toward the south and toward the east and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great even to the host of heaven. Now I believe that leaps us all the way down to the little horn that we talked about in the previous chapter.
Although many tried to identify this as anticus epiphanies and the Greeko-Syrian general who came down and defiled the temple in Jerusalem and put a pig on the altar and outraged the Jews and of course the Maccabees rose up in revolt and recaptured Jerusalem and the Feast of Dedication, Hanukkah all developed a lot of that tradition. But never did he ever come against the Host of Heaven. Notice when it says verse 10, it waxed great even to the Host of Heaven.
It cast down some of the Hosts and of the stars to the ground. Now if you were in my previous class, didn’t we read about stars being cast down to the ground. That was a third of the stars, a third of the angels that were with Satan. They fought against Michael and his angels angels and are cast down to the earth. I believe this conflict where Satan who empowers the Antichrist, who actually is going to come in conflict with the hosts of heaven which are the angels of God.
And they will be cast down onto the earth and lose their control of the atmosphere around the earth. So I believe what we see here, and most valuable teachers don’t do what I just did. They try to keep it back in the past and try to keep the little horn as antichasopiphanies and try to match it up. Because, you know, it seems almost reasonable that here we are with the Medo-Persian Empire, the Grecian Empire coming up, and then Alexander dying in his empire being divided among four generals and you’d probably assume.
But I think the language tells us… Although, Anticus Epivity is in a sense a partial fulfillment because he did head toward the promised land and he did overthrow Israel and he didn’t take the temple and desecrate it. He did put, you know, a pig upon the altar and defiled the sacrificial system of the temple. And the temple needed to be reclaimed by the Maccabean zealot priest, which really when they rededicated the temple, they only had one day’s oil to light the menorah and it saved life for eight days as a woman.
We have the celebration of lights or the festival of lights or the rededication of the temple that happened in BC 166, during the reign of the Grecian Empire. But I think this is talking about the future and of Christ. Thank you for joining us. We hope that you’re enjoying today’s teaching on the Book of Daniel. We’re on now the air with Denise in Seminole, Florida. Denise, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Oh hi Dr. Lindstrom. I would like to know your opinion on C.S. Lewis. I’m hearing a lot about him but I don’t feel kind of uneasy about I personally don’t believe CS Lewis was a Christian.
He believed in evolution. He didn’t believe the Bible was the inspired word of God. He believed you could lose your salvation. He believed in works for salvation. And we have a book here in our resource center that talks about C.S. Lewis, a Christian or pagan, and it seems like if you read his writings he was pagan. He obviously believed in a works for salvation philosophy, so I don’t believe C.S. Lewis was saved. So I think if you read this book you’ll be shocked at the quotes from C.S.
Lewis about his belief system. He obviously was far from being a biblical scholar or a believer in the infallible, inherent word of God. Now we have Gino in Tampa, Florida and Gino, welcome to Bibleline your On The Air. Yes, I just wanted to hear that I came out to visit your service yesterday morning. Nice time. I wanted to actually get one of those pamphlets that shows the 13th year, my fiance and I was telling her how I said that he would rise in three days or 72 hours and she lifted up and it seemed to say that he would rise in three days or have a three days mean.
I think the only way you can resolve that is it has to happen exactly when three days was ending and when the fourth day was beginning. So it means exactly 72 hours. There’s no wiggle room and that’s the only way you can resolve that. By the way, on the NIV it’s 44 verses that are dropped in their entirety. But there are also hundreds of other deletions. We have another track here that we can send you as well that lists 200 critical omissions, not entire verses but emissions from the NIV and it’s really one of the worst translations out there and the attempt on the part of the translators of the NIV to do away with hell is really horrific.
R. Laird Harris was the head of the committee said that hell is nothing more than the dust of the ground, the dust of the grave and that’s the appropriate meaning. Wow. We’re now going to go to the land floor and we have Loretta on the line Loretta, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Oh hi, how are you this morning? Good. I listened to your program pretty frequently and I enjoy listening to it. I just wanted to ask you something.
I’ve been a couple of family members that are Catholics and I was Catholic at one time but then I started into the Baptist Church and I was just wondering now this is the discussion we’ve been having about Peter. They believe that you know he was the first pope. I know that he was just an apostle. And I’m just wondering, where did they get all these ideas? And then they’ve taken the passage where Jesus announces that he’s going to turn to the Gentiles and he mentions for the first time the church which would begin a Pentecost and be the age where God would include Gentiles now in the same body with Jews.
And Christ makes that announcement to Peter and he says, now I’m Peter and upon this rock I’ll build my church. But if you read it carefully, especially the original language is Greek and it’s really saying that Christ himself is the rock and that Peter is a little rock or a little pebble upon which would build on top of the foundation of Jesus himself being the rock. And you see that everywhere else. Gaal read Peter himself. And this is the important thing is to let Peter speak for himself.,…
if you read Acts 4, in verse 11, Peter says, Jesus is the rock. He’s the stone. And then Peter says in Acts 4, 12, neither is their salvation and any other, for there’s none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Then if you look over to 1 Peter chapter 2, let Peter speak for himself again. He says that all of us as believers are living stones. And Hebdo was builtWAYS436,577 of the of the chief cornerstone, which is Jesus himself.
So Peter never strutConnector to be the rock. He never misunderstood that passagegovtrack. But the Catholic Church has. But if you let Peter speak for himself, you’ll find salvation is by grace, by simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. One of my favorite… My favorite verses as Acts 1511, where Peter stands up at the first council of the early church and says we believe that through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved even as they. So here he tells us we’re saved by grace and we’re not saved by works.
In Acts 10, 43 Peter says to Jesus give all the prophets witness that through his name whosoever believe within him should receive the remission of your sins.172 So the Bible is quite clear if you let Peter speak to himself. We have a book here called Understanding Roman Catholicism in our resource center it is excellent it takes the roman cataclysm it uh… examines thirty seven critical doctrines quotes from the cataclysm and then it quotes from the bible on the same doctrines and you’ll just be absolutely shocked at what cataclysm teaches as verses what the bible teaches and they’re not the same at all so you have to get your ammunition together and just point out what the bible says and how the most doctors at the Catholic Church teaches are far away from what the Bible teaches.
Yeah, I know that. That’s why I’m not in the Catholic Church today. I watch things sometimes and it just amazed me and what they believe and even like the Bible. I think if you did a little study and go through and prepare yourself with all the quotes from Peter and then say well if you believe i don’t know the first hope if you did in the in the dialogue with them will say that if you believe it is the first hope that you need to pay attention to what he said and if they listen to what peters said then they’re going to find out that what they’re being taught today is not the same thing well my aunt is eighty two years old and i don’t know whether she’s you know totally capable of but receiving things as i speak to her it’s just like
i don’t know if i can get the wall up or something Well just pray and then just don’t give up and then just take a simple verse like John 3 16 and and just stay right there and just tell her that God so loved her that he gave Jesus to die to pay for her sins and if she would believe or trust in him she would not perish but have everlasting life. And pray that John just would receive that wonderful verse.
She tries to tell me they read the Bible every Sunday when they get into church and she doesn’t know anything about the Bible. One day she said to me something about. Well, don’t give up, and I hope that the Lord will bless your prayers and efforts to reach your family. Thank you. I appreciate it. Alright. Loretta in the land Florida. We’re now going to go to Lou in Tampa Florida. Lou, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Earth. Dr. Actish, how are you?
Good. I’ve got a question. i’ve got a question for you uh… and i’ll hang up with your answer uh… a friend of mine was you studying the king james bible and he said that he believed that jesus and john the baptist uh… work has been because mary and uh… uh… martha were from different tribes if you could go ahead and expand on that i appreciate it all right well uh… if you uh… note what the bible says in luke it does say that they are uh…
related so uh… You can’t argue with that. Let me just turn over to the passage in Luke’s gospel where Mary goes to visit Elizabeth and She they’re both pregnant. It says here in verse 39 of Luke chapter 1 Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste into a city of Judah and entered into the house of Zachariah and saluted Elizabeth. In a Kingdom pass, when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
Here they were together, and obviously both were excited about the fact that Elizabeth was carrying of course John the Baptist, and Mary was carrying the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. But if you read verse Verse 36 of chapter 1 it says, Behold thy cousin Elizabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age. Now that is actually directly from the angel Gabriel, telling Mary that her cousin Elizabeth had conceived. And so if the angel Gabriel says that Elizabeth is a cousin, I think I would say that he’s probably right.
What do you think? And of course, Lewis off the air down. Luke 136 by cousin Elizabeth the angel Gabriel told Mary that so obviously he knew the physical relationship there. We’re gonna go now to Philip and Philip is in Tampa Florida. Philip, welcome to the Bible on you’re on the air. Good morning Good morning, Pastor Hank. I have a question. First I wanted to know I’ve been doing some studying Miles Stanford and I wanted to know if you know him or about his teaching.
It’s strictly great. And also my other question was about, I heard you talking last week or something about that a lot of the spiritual gifts like speaking in tongues and prophecy and those have been done away with. with. And I wanted to know where’s the scriptural basis for that and I’m going to hang up and listen to you. Miles Stanford I think is a hyper dispensationalist I’m not too sure I sometimes get different people mixed up there’s so many out there to keep track But as far as the spectacular gifts, they were temporary in nature.
In 1 Corinthians 13 8 through 10 tells us that they would cease when the Word of God would be completed. The New Testament record that which is perfect came and was completed. Around the year 80-96 when the book of Revelation was added to the Bible. And so that’s the end of those gifts. They’re God. And there’s nobody doing them today. We hope that you’re learning with us as we listen to this question and answer segment featuring Dr. Hank Lindstrom.

You know, it’s interesting that people don’t think that terminology apparently is very important. And if you could take a look at some verses with me, I think you’ll find that the Bible tells us that it’s very, very important. And if you turn to 1 Corinthians 1 in verse 17, we find that Paul says that I was sent to preach the gospel, 1 Corinthians 1 17, not with wisdom of words, the cross of Christ should be made of none effect, none effect, none effect.
I know that some people use phrases and they think that they are going to be helpful or lead people to Christ, but some people say ask Jesus in your heart or invite Jesus into your life and that’s not the gospel. And with wisdom of words, you can make the cross of none effect. I was raised with that and I was lost and it wasn’t until I finally heard it, 18, that you have to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior that I finally got saved.
What is so interesting is that we’re not saved by asking, we’re saved by trusting. When you go to the passage in Luke where you have Jesus on the cross and you have to two thieves crucified with him, both thieves ask to be saved. So what did we learn from that? We learned that you can ask and not be saved. The only the one that trusted Christ was saved. So you can ask Christ all of your life to save you and you’ll not be saved.
I could get up every morning and say, God save me. Close my day out in the evening and say, God save me. Lord, I’m asking you to save me. Please save me, Lord, save me, save me, save me. And if you don’t trust in the death and shed blood of Christ and his burial and resurrection, you will not be saved. Romans 1 16 says, I’m not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for if the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, that is, would trust.
You must trust the Gospel message. The Gospel message is the message that is the power of God unto salvation. And unless you trust in the death of the burial and resurrection of Christ, you will not be saved. And you have to trust on Christ to be saved, asking him to come into your life or promising to give him your life. None of those things will save. And the devil is so clever that he actually makes the Christian of no effect in his witness by changing the words to maybe sound nice or palatable, but we’re not saved that way.
It says here, I am sent to preach the gospel, 1 Corinthians 1-17, not with wisdom of words, the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. That means zero. Over in the book of Galatians it talks about how that if we change or alter the word of God at all it becomes an accursed message. In Galatians chapter 1 he talks about how that there were those in the churches of Galatia that altered the plan of salvation a little bit.
And when they did, we find that they were actually preaching then it says here, another gospel, not the gospel of grace, but grace plus some works. And so he says in verse 7 of Galatians chapter 1 that this is not the same gospel, it’s another. And there would be some that would trouble you and would pervert the gospel of Christ. So here’s the true gospel perverted by using other terms or terminology that would add to or subtract from what Christ says in the Scriptures.
In verse 8 it says, though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you, then that which we have preached unto you, let him be what? A cursed. So it says here, if you preach another gospel, then obviously you’re going to be a cursed, and The one hearing it is not going to be saved and obviously you’re in trouble with God. Verse 9 says, as we said before, so now I say again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you, then that which you have received, let him be a curse.
Very very powerful message. So if you alter it or change it in any way, it no longer is the gospel. Amazing isn’t it? Obviously you must pay the payment for salvation in order to be saved. Of course if you paid for it, it would be held that Christ has made that payment and unless you trust in the payment that He made for you. You will not be saved. That’s what the gospel message is all about. We’re going to rejoin stations that have been on break into the second half hour by one and we’ll be right back with you in one second so don’t go away.

Have you been able to join us for Dr. Lindstrom’s teaching series on the Book of Daniel? This series covers a variety of topics from the Book of Daniel, such as Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream, the fiery furnace, the handwriting on the wall, the lion’s den, Daniel’s many visions and their interpretations, in addition to many exciting prophecies.
We hope that you will plan to join us and open your Bible for our verse by verse study of the Book of Daniel. Now please join us as we return to our Question and Answer segment and then we’ll return to more Bibleline teaching from Dr. Hank Lynchroom. We’re going to go to the phone lines. We have Amos down in Miami, Florida. And Amos, welcome to Bibleline.
You’re on the air. My question was that in the Book of Revelation, it licked in about the seventh seal that once there was total silence in heaven, the seventh seal would open. Can you explain to me more about the seventh seal, please? Well, I think that the seventh seal is the second coming of Christ, I think. If you study carefully the book of a relation which I’ve taught at numerous numerous times and you’ll find that the sevens All line up as the second coming the sixes all line up as the bed of arm again So the sixth seal the sixth trumpet the sixth bowl judgment are all the same event And they are the bed of Armageddon and all the sevens are the second coming then you have to spread out the others over the whole period of time and it seems like they’re like an overload
The seven seals sweep the whole seven years. The seven trumpets are only during the second half, and then the seven vile or bold judgments are probably in the last six months of the tribulation period. And when you overlay them, you see the total picture of all the judgments. There are 28 specific judgments that will be poured out during the tribulation period. Seven seal judgments, seven trumpet judgments, judgment seven thunder judgments seven bold judgments seven times force twenty eight really bad judgments port out on the earth in the tree relation period but i know another another another uh…
thing also although the seven field that because it’s there’s an article revelation that there was seven angels that could be foregone and he talking about the uh… trumpets are the seven trumpet judgments that the seal judgments and there there is no period of silence before the seven seals this is the silence is before the seven trumpets so uh… you ought to get my series on the book of revelation i have it on cd and you’ll find it very helpful i have had people from all over the country use that to teach a bible study uh…
they’d invite a group of friends over and play maybe one cd or part of a cd and have group discussion refreshments and and they found that a very effective time of learning the book of revelation or do it just with you in your Bible. But I have that series of it’s the most popular one. I think we have here at Bible and headquarters is the book of Revelation. Thank you very much. You have a wonderful day. You too Amos, Amos in Miami, Florida.
We have Nila and she’s in Lake Mary, Florida and Nila, welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. Good morning, Dr. Lindstrom. Yes. Yes, I’m calling with a question about health, the postal click. In our church yesterday, we were asked to recite the postal click. And when I came to the park where I said that he descended into hell, I did not say the phrase because I have heard from you that this has been going to help. And OK right {} 7 7 7 8 6 7 8 9 8 7 8 9 9 9 7 11 8 8 8 9 7 7 9 9 8 8 I really respect by now what you teach us through the station.
I’ve listened to you for about two years. Good for you, isn’t it? So I would like to see to hear from you about this matter of Jesus pretending to hell and where did he go? I know that you said that he went to the center of the earth or the heart of the earth where paradise and Hades are. But I’m not I don’t have any verses to confirm that I hope you have your pencil ready and I’ll give you I’m going to hang up and listen so like I can write the verses good Okay, thank you very much.
Have a nice day. Same. You and you. Bye. Bye Nila it’s Satan would love to have you blue Christ what to help and there’s a lot of people that teach that but that is not true and the Apostles Creed is wrong, saying He descended into hell. Write down Matthew 1240. Jesus said, as Jonah was three days and three nights in the Fish’s Valley, social and Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth, right in the center of the earth.
That’s Matthew 1240. Then in Luke 23, 43, Jesus told the dying thief on the cross that believed, today thou How shall it be with me in paradise?” So we know therefore paradise was in the heart of the earth and that’s where Jesus went. And we know also that when Christ ascended from in the heart of the earth, He led a group of people captive that were all of the Old Testament saints that had been waiting there in paradise for their sins to be paid for.
Ephesians 4, Ephesians 4 verses 8 through 10, it says that Christ descended first into the lower parts of the earth. And then it says when He ascended, He led a group captive up to heaven itself. And so we know that Jesus went down into the heart of the earth and there the dying thief was there and all of the believers in the Old Testament were there. And on the third day Christ emptied the place out and led these people up to heaven itself That’s Ephesians 4, 8-10.
So the three verses I just gave you are Matthew 12, 40, Luke 23, 43, and Ephesians 4, 8-10. I hope you got all of those. And that should help you a great deal. Christ never went to hell. And what is so amazing is that hell is empty. There’s nobody in hell yet. It was created for Satan and his angels. Matthew 2541, Christ says to the lost that they are to be cast into the lake of fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
But the devil and his angels are first in and they’re not cast in until after Christ is ruled and reigned on this earth for a thousand years. Thank you, Nila. Nice talking to you today and you have a great day. We have Jimmy from Tampa on the line. Jimmy, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Thank you, sir. All right, Jimmy. I have a question about Hebrews chapter 2 in 15. Can you help me to understand that? I’ll give it my best shot, Jimmy.
I’m turning it right now. Hebrews chapter 2 verse 14, and it says here, for as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also likewise took part of the same, that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death. That is the devil. So Christ, in order to redeem us, became a human being. God came and took on flesh. So we find here that saying he took the same upon himself, flesh and blood, and then he noticed through death his death at the cross of Calvary would then defeat Satan who has the power of death.
That is Satan. As Satan caused Adam and Eve to sin and brought death upon the whole human race. And it says here, and deliver them who through fear of death were all of their lifetime subject to bondage. So we find here that Jesus did not take on himself the nature of angels, but he took on him the seed of Abraham. So Jesus came of the lineage of Abraham and took on Jewish flesh. God who took on Jewish flesh went to the cross and died to pay for our sins.
I hope that helps you there, Jimmy. Thanks for your time. Okay, okay. Yeah, okay good that really thank you very much. You’re very welcome And we’re now going to go to Jerry in plant city and Jerry welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Yes, Dr. Hank, I don’t know if anyone’s called in on it yet or not, but it’s a revival that’s going on over there in Lakeland, Florida. I believe it’s called that if not church, now it’s moved over to Tiger Stadium, I believe.
I just wanted your thoughts on these revivals that seem to pop up and time to time. And what is the criteria for a true revival? And do you believe that any of them? is of God and I’ll hang up and listen to the answer. Thank you, sir. You’re very welcome. And I believe that’s totally false. I have gone on the internet and took a look at some of that. But it says in my Bible, in Matthew 24, Jesus tells us what it would be like just before he would return.
And what does Jesus say? In the last days, just before he would return, he says that Matthew 24, 24, there shall arise false Christ and false preachers. And they shall show great signs and miracles, and it tells us here that in so much that if it were possible they’ll deceive genuine believers, the very elect. And Jesus says in verse 25, which I think is very significant, I’ve given you 2000 years warning. He says, behold, I have told you before.
He says, I’m telling you this before it ever happens, that when you see the signs and wonders of the last days that it’s not coming from God. false preachers would do signs and wonders. I would be suspect of anybody that claims to do signs and wonders in the last days. Because the Bible says that false preachers would do signs and wonders, not genuine believers. And I think we have this counterfeit out there of signs and wonders that is really the in-time fulfillment of Christ’s prophecy here.
We find also in the book of Revelation that Satan would use miracles to deceive those which dwell on the earth and that Satan has the power to do miracles and that’s in numerous places in the book of Revelation But I’m going to quote one on the passage and this is in second Thessalonians where it talks about the Antichrist and it tells us here that the Antichrist then shall that wicked one be revealed whom the Lord shall destroy with the Spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, even Him whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying miracles.”
So here it tells us that signs and miracles would be done by Satan and also by the Antichrist. And we know in Matthew 24, 24, Christ says it would be false preachers doing the miracle gifts of the last days. So I think this is a big counterfeit. And the easy way to check is find out what they actually teach about salvation. And the Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 13 that if a preacher promise a miracle and the miracle come to pass, he says, don’t listen to that preacher even if he can perform a miracle.
If his message doesn’t agree with the word of God. And so it says reject that preacher based upon his message. And if his message is not an agreement with the word You’re not to follow that preacher, even though he can promise and a miracle take place. You know, Satan can do miracles. A lot of people don’t realize that Satan can do miracles, and the Bible tells us he will do miracles and has done miracles, and we’ll do them in the last days, and that’s what we’re seeing happening today.
This wraps up today’s question and answer segment about the Bible featuring Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We hope that you’ve enjoyed it and that you are growing in your knowledge about the word of God. Now, please join us as we continue the book of Daniel teaching series from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. So we have the celebration of lights, or the festival of lights, or the rededication of the temple that happened in BC 166, right during the reign of the Grecian Empire.
But I think this is talking about the future Antichrist. It says here, verse 10, let me read it again, at what he waxed great, even to the host of heaven. And it cast down some of the host. That is a third of the angels were cast down that we read about in the previous class in chapter 12 of Revelation and stamped upon them. Yay, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host. The prince of the host has to be either Michael the Archangel of God that he obviously opposed.
But also here it could refer to Christ, who obviously is over all of God’s angels, but probably Michael. And by Him the daily sacrifice was what? Take it away. And that of course will happen. It did happen in the Rhanticus, but it will happen again in the Tribulation Period. When Antichrist comes in and takes over Israel in the middle of the Tribulation, he will place his own image in that third temple and the man that he be worshipped. And as we talked about in the previous class, when the Jewish people see that, they’re to flee to the country of Jordan because that’s the signal.
When you see that abomination of installations spoken by Daniel, the Prophet, standing in the holy place, then you need to run. Verse 12, it says here, and host was given unto him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression. It was cast, and it cast down the truth to the ground, and it practiced and prospered. So it talks here about this guy is going to be a powerful ruler after this point in time, which he is for the last three and a half years of the tribulation.
Then I had heard one saint speaking and another saint said under that certain state which speak, how long shall the vision continue concerning or how long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice and the transgression of desolation to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot. He said unto me, 2,300 days, then the sanctuary will be cleansed. Now I believe that that is more than 42 months, but I think that takes us a little bit into the millennium where everything is cleansed up and ready to go for Christ to rule.
Let’s go to verse 15 now and we’ll look at the interpretation. It came to pass when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision and sought for the meaning. Behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man, and I heard a man’s voice be between the banks of Eli, which called and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision. Now Gabriel is, of course, the messenger angel, and he, of course, is one of three angels mentioned by name in the Bible.
There are only three. Michael, the Archangel of God, Gabriel, the messenger angel who obviously appeared to Mary, appeared to Daniel here, and delivers messages on behalf of God. And then Satan is the third angel. So there are no other angels named with a name that we know of in the Bible. The Roman Catholicism has given additional names to angels, but they have done a lot of things which can take us beyond the Bible and away from the Bible really in our understanding, so I don’t buy into that.
So Gabriel here was now to be given the answer. So he came near where I stood. And when he came, I was afraid, and Philip all my face, and he said to me, understand, oh son of man, for at the time of the end shall be the vision. Not only that also tells us that what we saw here with the Medo-Persia Empire and the the Grecian Empire was that ultimately the vision goes to the little horn pictured by the horn of the He-goat as the man who was such a power himself.
You know, everybody identifies Alexander with the Grecian Empire because he was a very powerful leader. We can talk about the meet-up person empire and not really have to talk about who led it. But when you talk about Greece, you have to talk about Alexander. When you talk about the eighth world power and the little horn that we saw in chapter 7 of Daniel, he’s so identified. The Antichrist is a powerful leader that will control that whole thing and you can’t talk about the power without talking about the man.
And I believe that’s the picture here, that he He is like Alexander, and he is a picture of that future one. And the time of the end is the end of the tribulation. You know, when Christ died, God’s clock stopped ticking. The Bible tells us in Daniel when we get to the 9th chapter here that the clock will start ticking again after the church ages over and there’s seven more years to tick off the clock. So when the rapture happens, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick.
The clock will start running and it will run for seven more years and we’re out of here and then God is going to be dealing with Israel and this conglomerate of Gentile powers that have all kind of come together. that have all kind of come together in the Western of the control of the Antichrist, who will be a powerful leader like Alexander was, will be dominant in the world for the last three and a half years of the tribulation.
And when that thing ends, then Christ will come back and defeat Him and rule over the earth. Now let’s continue. Verse 18, now as He was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground. But He touched me and set me upright. And he said, behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation. For at the time appointed, the end shall be. That’s the end of the tribulation, and that’s when this is going to happen.
The ram which you saw, having two horns of the kings of media and Persia. The rough goat is the king of Greece, and the great horn that is between his eyes is that first king. That’s Alexander. We’ll keep talking about. He was so identified, just like in the last days, the Antichrist, the little horn, identified with the 11th nation in the United States and be the head of it. Verse 22, now that being broken, wherefore, as forested up for it, for kingdom shall stand up out of the nation but not in his power.
So there would be four nations that would follow, but Alexander in the picture that he is to us of the end times now has disappeared from the scene. the Grecian Empire goes on and it moves on then to the Roman Empire and brings us down to our present time. But this man in particular is the focus here. So it says in verse 23, in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, that is of course going to happen in the tribulation period.
And it’s really like a sin thermometer. In other words, when God has had it up to here, in a sense, when the transgressors are come to the full, when the world has really become very evil, once the church of the body of Christ has taken it out, that this is when the antichrist will emerge. Notice verse 23, here he is, a king of fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences. That means trickery in speech shall stand up. His power shall be mighty.
This is the end of Christ. But not by his own power. Where does this guy get his power? We just read a moment ago in Revelation 13 that the dragon gives him his power, his seat or throne and his authority. Thanks for listening to Bible Eye and with Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Of course, if you paid for it, it would be held that Christ has made that payment and unless you trust in the payment that He made for you, you will not be saved.
That’s what the gospel message is all about. You’re saved when you trust TRUST in the death of the burial of the resurrection of Christ. It’s through the blood of Christ that we’re saved, and when you trust Christ as the only hope or means of your salvation, then God saves us. You know it tells us in Colossians chapter 1 that when we trust Jesus Christ as our Savior, we believe the gospel message. It says in verse 13 that he delivers us from the power of darkness and translates us into the kingdom of his dear son.
Verse 14 in whom, that is his dear son, Jesus, we have redemption through his blood, through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. The devil is clever today and he wants us to bypass the blood, bypass the cross, and not recognize that you have to trust in his death and shed blood as the means of your redemption. It’s a book of the blood and the Bible says in Revelation 1-5 unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood.
It was the blood of Christ that washed away our sin and unless you trust in Christ’s death and shed blood you will not be saved. Wherever you look, the Bible is cleared to teach that his blood was the means by which we are redeemed. When you trust in his blood and it was shed for you, then you are saved. Let me read Romans 5-8. It says, God commended his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Verse 9 says, much more than being now justified by his blood, by his blood, by his blood, we shall be raised or saved rather from wrath through him. So it’s through his blood that we are redeemed, and only through the blood of Christ can you have your sins washed away. The hymn writer got it right when he said, what can wash away my sins? The answer being nothing but the blood, nothing but the blood, nothing but the blood. Today we bypass the blood, we bypass the cross, and we just say invite Jesus into your heart.
Well, guess what? I did that for the first 18 years of my life, every Sunday I invited Christ into my heart. And I was never saved. It wasn’t until I was 18 that I realized that this was wrong when I heard the gospel explained that I had the trust that Jesus died for me and shed his blood for me on the cross and then was buried in Roseigan from the dead. And that if I would trust that he made that payment for my sin, that then that payment would count for me and I would be saved and I would have eternal life.
But if you bypass the death, the shed blood, the burial, the resurrection of Christ, my friend, you cannot be saved. And yet many, many tracks. If you look at the tracks that are out there, 90% of them are wrong. And you usually see that in the last paragraph, it might be a wonderful track until you get the actual prayer or invitation where it changes it to a false gospel and the Bible says in Galatians 1, 8, and 9 that we just read.
Then it becomes an accursed message and there actually comes a curse on the one who delivers that cursed message. as soon as you pervert the true gospel of Christ by adding some other condition for salvation. It’s perverted and accursed and God obviously tells us that the gospel of Christ is made of none effect. None effect. I heard the false gospel for 18 years until I finally… Trusted in the death of the barrel of the resurrection of Christ as the means of my salvation.
