When the transgressors are come to the full, when the world has really become very evil once the church of the body of Christ has taken out, that this is when the antichrist will emerge.

Notice verse 23, here he is, a king of fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences. That means trickery in speech. She’ll stand up. His power shall be mighty. This is the antichrist. But not by his own power. Where does this guy get his power? We We just read a moment ago in Revelation 13 that the dragon gives him his power, his seat or throne and his authority. Remember that in Revelation 13. So notice he’s mighty but not in his own power.

He shall destroy wonderfully the incredible weapons of today describe what I’m saying here. I mean we marvel as we look at it, don’t we? Watch TV and we watch these smart bombs guided right to the target and they’ll go right through window or right through a doorway and blow up a building and we say, man, how can this happen? And we’re watching it live from the other side of the world and watching these weapons that just, if you could call it wonderful, wonderfully destroy.

I mean, it’s just a marvel how that we have the capability to do that. And notice he shall prosper and practice and shall destroy the mighty and holy people. And that what we said in the previous class, if you’re here, he’s going to absolutely try to destroy Jewish people worldwide, there’ll be a Holocaust that will make what Hitler did look like it was small talk. And so he is going to attack the Jewish people, kill two thirds of the land, nine tenths around the world.

And notice it says here in verse 25, and through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand. And that word craft means treachery, or deceitful speech, where it will appear that he’s saying one thing that’s peaceable and yet in reality, underneath, he winds up getting control of you. And so it says here, he shall cause treachery in speech, in trickery in speech to prosper in his hand. He’ll magnify himself in his heart, and look at what it says next here by peace.

He’s gonna promise democracy. Freedom and peace. Can you see that already happening? I believe we’re watching it right now, develop. And through peace and the promise of peace]), and the promise of peace and the promise of God. And you’re going to bring freedom to the world. He’s going to wind up controlling it. And this is the pattern here right here in the Bible. And it says, by peace shall he destroy many. Then notice verse 25, he shall also stand up against the what?

Prince of princes, that’s Jesus. Jesus is the Prince of princes. Jesus Christ in He will come into conflict. And just as we read in Revelation 17 that they will fight against Jesus and Jesus will win. You know he’s going to actually wind up in conflict against Christ and these 10 under the power of the Antichrist will actually fight against Jesus himself when he comes back and Jesus will overcome them, for he is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, and he’s the one that’s going to establish true peace on the earth.

It says that, but he shall be broken without hand. In other words, the Lord will easily take care of the Antichrist. No problem at all. Verse 26, and the vision of the evening in the morning, which was told is true. Wherefore, shut thou without up the vision for it shall be for what? Many days. In my studies in the Bible that phrase many days seems to talk about the interval between the two companies of Christ. We’ll see that again in the next chapter where Christ comes the first time and is rejected and then there’s a many day interval and then Christ comes the second time.

I think it’s talking about the interval between the two comings of Christ. And I was six certain days afterward I rose up into the king’s business and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it. And we are privileged to be living at the time when we are seeingortment become more and more focused in our minds as we look at the news every day. You can see it’s we’re on the trail of it. We’re back in the Middle East.

The Western powers are about to establish their presence throughout the entire Middle East, including Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, even Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Al-Radi and Iraq, Afghanistan. We are, I think, very, very close. We can see this whole thing coming together exactly as the Bible describes it here. And hopefully it’ll get us all excited enough to maybe maximize our use of time. This is the time to make sure all your families saved, all your relatives are saved. You don’t want them to be left behind.

And a great time to reach out. Because people are questioning these wake-up calls that are happening, the tsunami, the earthquakes, the diseases, the problems, the crime. These are causing people to ask questions and we can be there with the answers and we can be leading people to Christ. And that’s exciting. We’re now in Daniel now, chapter 9. Daniel 9 beginning in verse 1. In the first year of Darius, the son of hazardous, the seed of the seeds which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans, in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood by books the number of years where of the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet that he would accomplish 70 years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

So notice here Daniel is reading the writings of Jeremiah and he’s reading the scriptures and he learns because he reads the prophecy that Jeremiah gave, how long the children of Israel would be captive in the exile in Iraq under Nebuchadnezzar’s reign. So we’re going to turn to our left to the book of Jeremiah and we’re going to turn to chapter 25. This will be on page 798 and we’ll take a look at what Daniel was reading. Isn’t that interesting that we get a chance to do what Daniel did?

We’re going to read from some of the writings of Jeremiah. Now page 798, Jeremiah 25, it says in verse 8, therefore, thus saith the Lord of hosts because you have not heard my words, behold I will send and take all the families of the north saith the Lord, and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, will bring them against this land and against the inhabitants thereof. And against all these nations round about, it will utterly destroy them and make them an astonishment and an hissing and perpetual desolation.

So here God was going to bring Nebuchadnezzar to come and become the next world power and that he would destroy all the nations around Israel and actually overthrow Israel as well. Verse 10, Moreover I will take from them the voice of Mirth and the voice of gladness and the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride and the sound of the millstone and the light of the candle and his whole land shall be a desolation. And an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the King of Babylon how long?

70 years. This is page 798, Jeremiah 25, verse 11. So Daniel learned from reading Jeremiah the Prophet that the captivity would be 70 years. Then it says in verse 12, and it should come to pass when the 70 years are accomplished that I will punish the King of Babylon and that nation, say of the Lord for their iniquity and the land of the Chaldeans and will make it perpetual desolations. And so here we have the prophecy that Daniel was reading.

He was thinking in terms of these 70 years that God had said that he would bring judgment upon Israel, upon the nations around Israel, and that Nebuchadnezzar would come against them, and he would keep them in captivity for 70 years. Thank you for joining us. We hope that you are enjoying today’s teaching on the Book of Daniel. You are listening to Bibleline with your host, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We have Linda on the line and she’s calling in from Dunedin, Florida and Linda, welcome to Bible and You’re On The Air. Hi Dr. Hank, it’s Linda from Dunedin. Well, good morning. How are you? Good. I have a question for you. Have you… Oh, excuse me. Have you heard the book, The Sign?

I don’t think I have. There’s so many books out there, it’s hard to keep track of them all. What is it about? It’s the author was Marvin Rosenthal. Okay. And talking about pre-Rath. Yeah, I disagree with Marvin Rosenthal completely. I saw his earlier book and he believes in a pre-Rath Rapture where the believers will go through most of the tribulation and be raptured out maybe six months before the end of it before the bold judgments, the wrath, the intense wrath of the last judgments, it will be poured out and I totally disagree with him.

I think it’s wrongly dividing the word. We are the bride of Christ and the bride of Christ is not going to go through one minute of the tribulation period. Once we’re taken out of the rapture, then the last seven years of the Old Testament took off the clock and that’s Daniel 70th week. The seven years of tribulation the Bible tells us which are really the last seven years of the Old Testament. We’re on Jewish territory once the rapture happens and the church is no longer here.

In the book of Revelation we see chapters 2 and 3 letters of instruction to this church age and actually give us a prophetic picture of the past 2000 years of church history. But then in chapter 4 verse 1 we have a picture of the rapture where John hears a voice that’s like Christ’s voice which it is, and it sounds like the sound of a trumpet, and the voice says, come up hither. John is caught up, and he’s told he is now going to be shown the things which are here after, and we believe that begins the tribulation period on earth and the events that will take place in heaven for Christ to come back.

And you’ll notice, if you read carefully the book of Revelation, the church is no longer mentioned in the book of Revelation because why? It’s taken out. And as soon as that voice is heard and John is caught up, a picture of the church being raptured out, then you have got unfolding what will take place during that seven years and it’s quite clear that it talks about two periods of 42 months or two periods of 1260 days, which are clearly a total of seven years of tribulation and the church is gone.

The church is not here. So I thoroughly disagree with Marvin Rosenthal in his book on the pre-rath rapture. Okay, can I ask you another question? Sure. Do you believe that we’re going through the first three seals right now? Absolutely not. The seals haven’t even begun. The seals won’t be broken until after the Rapture. If you read chapter 4 verse 1, John is caught up. That’s the Rapture. And then it’s not until chapter 6 that we see the seals open.

And I think they opened right at the very beginning of the tribulation period. And the first four seals are fulfilled in the first three and a half years of the tribulation period. And the last three seals are then broken during the second half of the tribulation period. And seal number six is the Battle of Armageddon. Seal number seven is the second coming of Christ. And no, none of the seals have been broken yet. All right. Thank you. You’re sure welcome.

And amazingly, a lot of people just don’t get the chronology of the book of Revelation right and they don’t get the picture that the church doesn’t go through any of the tribulation period because again, they don’t separate between the Gentiles and the church and the nation of Israel. God has a plan for the Gentiles and the Bible talks about the times of the Gentiles that began with Nebuchadnezzar that will continue right up until the end of the tribulation period.

Then it talks about the fullness of the Gentiles, which is the rapture when the Gentile church age ends and we’re taken out. Then it talks about God will resume his program for Israel and that Israel then will be evangelized and many millions will become saved and they’ll receive Christ as their king. Christ will come back instead of His thousand-year kingdom here on the earth, but we don’t belong in the tribulation period, not for one minute. Thank you, Linda, from Dunedin, for now going to Michael.

And Michael is in Utica, New York. And Michael, welcome to Bibleline, and you’re on the earth. Good morning, Dr. Lynch. Good morning. I was wondering, I think you used the analogy of the boat as the plan of salvation, actually getting in the boat. I was wondering, does that constitute work by me actually getting into the boat? Could not just believe knowing the facts about a boat that it will hold me without actually getting in the boat? And I’ll hang up and I’ll look at you at one o’clock.

Okay. Well Michael, all our illustrations have weaknesses I think, but it’s clear that in my illustration of the boat that I’m just getting across the point that you have to trust the boat to hold you up in order to be trusting the boat by definition. So to be trusting Christ, you have to not be trusting anything else. You have to cut all other lines of support. Let’s just say that you were sitting out in my congregation and I were to ask you the question as you sit on the pew.

Are you trusting the pew that you’re sitting on to hold you off the floor and keep you safe from falling and you would say yes. But then if I look more carefully Michael and I would look out there’s a thin wire that’s attached up to the roof rafters and there’s a safety harness locked around your chest and about in your midsection. I would have a tendency to say you’re not trusting the pew at all. You’re really trusting that safety harness that you’re wearing and the fact that it’s connected to those rafters in the roof Structure to hold you up should the pew failure.

So in other words to be saved you have to trust either the pew Hold by itself without trusting some Safety wire or you have to trust the boat Without a rope or without a float or without your hand on the dock or something else To be holding on to you just cut all ties and like the dying thief who could do nothing But simply look over and trust Jesus as his Savior Christ told him today Thou shall be with me in paradise.

Good point, but there’s really nothing we can do. The Bible says Ephesians 2, 8, Salvation is not of yourself. And in verse 9, it says, not of works, lest any man should boast. And then it says in verse 8, by grace. And grace, by definition, is the absence of any work or any merit on your part. So it’s purely of grace, not of works. And illustrations all seem to fail somehow, but the Bible is very clear that salvation is a gift and not by works, and there’s nothing that we do but receive it.

We have Jonathan in Tampa, Florida. He says, what verses prove the rapture? Well, there’s a bunch of them, but first the Salonians 4. 13-18. First Thessalonians 4, 13-18 is the classic passage that describes the rapture, that we which are alive and remain shall be caught up. That’s what the word rapture means. Caught up to meet the Lord in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. We have what verses he asked also proved that the church will be removed for the tribulation.

Well, there are several, but Revelation 3 and 10 says that we’ll escape this awful tribulation that will come upon the face of the whole earth. That’s a great verse and every believer will be escaping this time on the earth. But also, first Thessalonians 1 and 10 tells us the next event is not the tribulation, but it’s the rapture. It says we’re to wait for his son from heaven. It doesn’t say wait for the tribulation period, it says, wait for his son from heaven, which has delivered us from this wrath, which is to come.

So obviously we don’t want to think that we have to go through the tribulation. If the tribulation were first, then it would say, wait for tribulation, but it says, wait for his son. Let me go now to Steve down in Sarasota, Florida, and Steve, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hey, how you doing today? Good. I’d just like to ask you where in the Bible I forget. You mentioned it another time, but where the theory of relativity is, and it’s one of the throwing little comments to people.

You know, get some Bible tracks from Bibleline or pass them out, help Bibleline to get the word and go ahead and do it because you’ll find that it’s very rewarding, very satisfying to get a couple thousand tracks if you’ve never got that many and have them available to everybody, strangers and families. and family and everyone to get out to do that because a lot of people have these bad tracks with with works on them and uh… that’s why i encourage you to get hanks uh…

and uh… just in go ahead and try to make a difference in the world because it really can and i guess i’ve been to hang up in this into your answer and write these birth down but thanks a lot for hanging in there and i think you know getting the word out really appreciate your ministry still through the years thank you steve and steve and so that you know the bible tells us that uh… well as hundreds of scientific facts in the bible and it’s amazing that they are there prior to man ever knowing about them you know what the c was mentioned that i think is in german ten twelve where the bible tells us that god created his uh…

created the universe out of his energy and that’s the same as line stein coming along and telling us about e is equal to m c squared because their god is telling us that Energy was converted into matter when God created the universe and Einstein was about 3000 years too late and telling us what the Bible already said. Those things obviously caught my attention because science was my God prior to my getting saved and I went on to graduate in electrical engineering from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida and science was always my thing.

And when I saw how the Bible told incredible, fantastic scientific facts long before man ever knew them, I realized that God had to be the author of the Bible. And that’s one of the things that the Bible tells us that God said He would tell us things before we would discover them, before we would ever know them, and the fact that the Bible is accurate concerning all these things and doesn’t contain scientific error and mistakes tells us that this book has to be indeed the word of God.

We hope that you’re learning with us as we listen to this question and answer segment featuring Dr. Hank Lindstrom. When we return, we will continue this question and answer segment and then hear more Bible teaching from Dr. Hank Lynch.

We’re going to turn in our Bibles to the book of Acts. If you have your Bible there, you might want to turn with me and take a look at a couple of passages. And we’re going to turn to Acts chapter 13. If you have your Bible there, it’ll be on page, if you have a Scofield Bible, on page 1167. Here in Acts chapter 13, it says, be it known unto you, therefore, men and brethren, that through this man, referring to the Lord Jesus Christ is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins.

Now it’s interesting here that the previous verse tells us that he is the one that God raised again from the dead and that his body did not corrupt or return back to the elements. Jesus Christ came back from the dead, he’s alive and be it known unto you therefore men and brethren that through this man the Lord Jesus Christ is preached to you, not church membership, not water baptism, not confirmation, not mass or penance or some other thing, but has preached unto you the forgiveness of sins.

And then in verse 39 we have this marvelous verse that tells us how your sins can be forgiven. It says, by Him, all that believe, all that believe, all that believe, anyone, everyone is invited to come and take of this salvation that God offers. and it says here all that believe and the word believe means to trust. The Greek word is pastuopistuio and it means to trust or rely upon to put your confidence in to rest your weight upon.

By Him that is the Lord Jesus Christ, the one that God raised from the dead. It says here is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins and by Him that is the Lord Jesus Christ. All that believe or trust are justified, that means declared legally righteous in God’s court room in his court of law. God declares righteous, that is he declares you as though you had never sinned in your entire lifetime. Isn’t that incredible? To see what God has done here, he declares the believer in Jesus Christ as though he had never sinned.

Some like to remember the word justified as just as if I had never sinned, just as if I had never sinned, justified, and it means to declare righteous in God’s courtroom of law. By Him, by the Lord Jesus Christ, all to believe, all that trust, Jesus Christ are justified, declared righteous from all things, from all things, that means any and everything that you would ever do wrong in all of your life. Every bit of it was paid for by Jesus on the cross, and you are justified from A.L.L.

Sometimes people tell me, well you don’t know what I have done wrong, and they have some sin that they don’t want to confess, but it is some sin that weighs heavily on ulton and they feel like they can’t be forgiven. Guess what? Not true, not true. The Bible says here that all by Him, all the believer justified from all things, A.L.L. it says from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. In other words, by the law of Moses you could never be justified before God.

Yet there are those who say you have to keep the Sabbath and that’s a part of the law of Moses. That’s part of the 10 commandments. And if you’re attempting to be saved by the commandments you’ll not be saved. And it says here, these things will not justify you. They’ll not take away your sin. It says here from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. And then In Numbers 40 it says, be where? Be where, therefore.

Amazingly, that’s a warning sign. And obviously we need to be aware here that if you do not trust Jesus Christ, as your only hope of heaven, you’re not going to make heaven. And that is tragically the case for everybody that is not trusting Christ to be saved. They will be in deep trouble and it says, less that should come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets. And that is the prophets told that a person who would die without the Messiah would perish.

In Isaiah chapter 66 it says, their soul would never die and the fire would never be quenched. That’s hell, my friend. And Jesus picked up on that same truth in Mark chapter 9 and he said three times in a row that hell is a place where the soul will never die and the fire will never be quenched. The soul will never die. The fire will never be quenched. Well, I’m afraid there are a lot of religions like the Seventh-),” and the Joe’s witnesses that teach that the wicked dead are annihilated.

But the Bible doesn’t teach them. The Bible teaches the soul will never die and the fire will never be quenched. Anyway, we are going to go back into the second half hour of Bible and so here we go. We’re going to do Bibleline in the second half hour right now. Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. And now back to Bibleline. Welcome back from the break.

This is Tom Perry for Bibleline ministries. We hope that you’re learning with us as we listen to real life questions and scriptural answers from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Have you been able to join us for Dr. Lindstrom’s teaching series on the book of Daniel? This series covers a variety of topics from the book of Daniel, such as Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, the fiery furnace, the handwriting on the wall, the lion’s den, Daniel’s many Many visions and their interpretations, in addition to many exciting prophecies.

We hope that you will plan to join us and open your Bible for our verse by verse study of the Book of Daniel. If you have missed any of the teachings in this series, please call our Resource Center at 1-800-576-3771. Now please join us as we return to our Question and Answer segment and then we will return to more Bibleline teaching from Dr. Hank Lynch. We’ve got to go to full lines here and we have a college from all over.

We have Brian in Sarasota. Brian, welcome to Bibleline your On the Air. Thank you. Good morning. I have a general question which relates to history and I guess modern times. Generally, it’s believed that Jewish religion traditionally does not believe in Christ as the Son of God. And I’m wondering at what point did that happen? Were they throughout the years in the books and the teachings? Didn’t they know that he performed miracles and locked amongst the people of the times?

When did that? that all go? I think it happened right when Christ came. The majority rejected Christ, crucified him and there was a Small remnant that believed and obviously there’s always been that remnant of Jewish believers and and technically I think if you were to look at it carefully that there have always been more Jews that believe on Christ than Gentiles if you go percentage-wise there’s only about 30 million Jews in the world and there’s an additional six billion gentiles i have uh…

several jewish believers in my church and and uh… obviously if you were to take the few uh… believers i have that are jewish my church said verses the number of gentiles i’ve uh… that would uh… mean that we’d have a lot more uh… jewish believers inAgainst that’s the way it’s always been but i think that there’s always been uh… a remnant of jewish believers and the problem is that they don’t read their bible The Jewish person is absolutely ignorant of theirinished Bible, generally speaking.

I’m talking about even the rabbis, they don’t know their Bibles. They don’t read the Bible. They read books about the Bible, and that’s the tragedy that happens within Christianity too, is that people are reading books about the Bible rather than reading the Bible. If you take them to the Bible, you can lead Jewish people to Christ. I’ve led many, many Jewish people to Christ, and they are able to be led to Christ. You just have to point out what the scriptures teach and that the Messiah has come.

He’s described in the Old Testament over 300 different locations as the one who would come and give his life and die be buried and rise again from the dead as the Savior. So Brian just don’t give up. Keep working on Jewish people and telling them the wonderful story of the gospel. Alright, off Brian is still there, not but we have in Daniel you have Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, thrown into the burning fiery furnace and Nebuchadnezzar comes up and says, didn’t we sit a cast three into the furnace?

I see four and the fourth is like unto the Son of God. There you have Jesus in the burning fiery furnace in Daniel. I mean, he’s all throughout the Old Testament. Psalm 2 talks about God begotten a son, which is of course Jesus and you find Jesus throughout the Old Testament. We have here a Valerie in Tampa, Florida. She says in 2 Chronicles 1911 there’s a reverence to Zebadiah, the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah.

I thought the tribe of Judah came from Isaac’s lineage. Can you explain this? And the answer is of course this is a different Ishmael. This is not the same ishmael that is the son of Abraham through Hagar. This is a different ish mill. It’s hundreds of years later. He’s still the original ish mill is not around So that’s the answer is the different you have by the same name We’re now going to go to Jacksonville, Florida, and we have Curtis on the line Curtis.

Welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air Good morning past it. Good morning This morning the first time I’m ever call you I call you with a trouble spirit. Yes, sir It’s brother that I’ve been going to church with. I like to say that I’m just a two-year convert and I know I don’t know everything And but he told me that he believed that you know the God Jesus died rather rectified sins But he he didn’t have the thought that If you go out there live like to know that God will send you to hell and I’ve been for two nights Showing him the scripture and the Bible I even gave him your CD or how permanent is your salvation Yeah, and my question is If he truly say If he said then just and that’s just how you got a stumbling block Well, I don’t keep the lambs work of life

But it doesn’t sound like he’s saved because he’s really saying you’re saved by your works that you have to live a certain way a certain lifestyle to live the Christian life faithfully to get to heaven. That’s all about works. And obviously he doesn’t see the difference. So I would question really his salvation. And of course it is true that no matter what you do, you will go to heaven. It’s not true that you can live as you please because God will spank or chasten the delinquent believer.

That’s throughout the Bible. And you see that very clearly in Hebrews chapter 12 in verse 6 where it says, whom the Lord loves. He chases or disciplines every son whom he receives. So when you’re receiving the God’s family by the new birth, you now have a heavenly father for the first time that’s going to take care of you when you get delinquent and he knows how to do it. I’ll tell you. Well like I told him, I said Paul even said his life is open to every avenue, but he said in all the avenues of non-expedia well that’s exactly right paul said that all things are lawful for me but not all things are expedient so so not a smart thing to live as i please but he paul is saying i could do anything yet i would still be safe because eternal life is god’s gift

and it’s not based upon our behavior is not based on our conduct is not based on our obedience it’s based on the conduct and the obedience and the behavior of jesus who was absolutely sinless and it was his uh… life that was substituted for us that made eternal life possible for us as a gift as he purchased it by giving an exchanging his life for ours at the cross i expose them to all that and uh… they just not going that one particular passes that they you know that of christian go to hell i said no There’s no way.

Nope. Once you trust Christ, you’re stuck. You have to go to heaven when you like it or not. So just to remind him, just keep chipping away. John 637, John 639 Christ promises not to lose any and he promises not to cast out anyone for any reason that has come to him. So once you’re saved, you’re his. And obviously this fellow is preaching his own message. That’s not biblical. That’s not what the Bible teaches. Okay. Thank you. Alright, and you see some of the great heroes of the Bible like Moses committed murder and then he was certainly saved and did lose it David committed adultery and murder and he was still saved.

He was chastened. You read the 51st Psalm David Wept as the Lord chastened him sore, but he was still saved But he said in that wonderful Psalm 51 restore unto me, Lord, the joy of my salvation. He lost the joy. He was not happy with God spanking him, but yet he was still saved. Thank you Curtis. All right, we have Dave on a cell phone. I don’t know where Dave is calling from, do we know? Dave, welcome to Bibleline from wherever you’re calling from.

I’m driving around Pinellas County. All right, wonderful. We’re good to hear from you. What can we do for a few weeks ago uh… you made a statement that salvation is available to everybody everywhere at all time that’s correct and and i believe that too but i’d like to hear you give a brief dissertation on and how do you see that working out in the life of somebody that never actually here’s the gospel i’ll be happy to uh… you know it’s interesting to see lots of illustrations in the bible of this you have uh…

For example, Cornelius in Acts chapter 10, he’s a citizen of Rome. He’s serving duty in the Roman army in Israel in Caesarea. He’s searching, he’s seeking God hears his prayers and knows his heart and he has him sin for Peter. Peter comes to his house and Peter tells him how to be saved and and Cornelius has assembled all of his friends and relatives and everybody to hear, Peter and the whole bunch of them get saved all at one time.

What a wonderful story of a seeking person finding the truth. And in Jeremiah 2913, it’s one of my favorite verses. It says, and you shall seek me and find me when you shall search for me with all your heart. So somebody who is searching or seeking God promises that they will find. And that is absolutely the truth wherever they are. I have led people to Christ from many, many countries right here without, in fact, where I lived prior to where I live now.

I led people to Christ from Somalia, from Ethiopia, from Russia, from Peru, from Bolivia, from lots of South American countries, from Central American countries. I was amazed at how many people God brought across my path that I was able to share the gospel to and lead them to Christ. Then I’ve traveled all over the world and I’ve met people in other countries that I’ve led to Christ. And what an exciting thing to lead them to Christ there or wherever I am.

God can bring me across the path of a seeking person and they can come to know the Lord of Savior. We see it happen all the time and it becomes an exciting adventure in life to get up every day and say, Lord, who will you bring across my path today? I believe If you’re a faithful, witnessing Christian, the most exciting adventure of the Your love experience in life is ahead of, and for you, God is going to bring people across your path from basically any and all places of the world to have you here, you know, right here where we live in Tampa, you can’t hardly go out into the public where you don’t find people from foreign countries from all over the place.

very easy to bump into people from other lands. And obviously they have family and friends back in their home country and they can bring the gospel back to their folks. And we have many different people that attend our church from many different countries that have come to know Christ. I believe God has brought them our way on purpose so we can lead them to Christ. And Jewish people as well who have come to know Jesus as their Messiah, the Savior, the one that prophets had said would come.

It’s really truly an exciting adventure. I hope that helps a little bit, but there are many verses, but all of your, my 29, 13, got us faithful that if a person is seeking, they will find the truth wherever they might be. There’s no place too far away or a place where the gospel cannot get to them. This wraps up today’s question and answer segment about the Bible featuring Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We hope that you have enjoyed it and that you are growing in your knowledge about the Word of God.

So here we have the prophecy that Daniel was reading. He was thinking in terms of these seventy years that God had said that he would bring judgment upon Israel and upon the nations around Israel and that Nebuchadnezzar would come against them and he would keep them in captivity for seventy years.

Daniel, as he reads that, recognizes that Israel, although they had been punished, had been taken away captive into Iraq for 70 years. The 70 years were about up, but they really hadn’t learned a lesson. Daniel realized that they really hadn’t taken this thing to heart. So here he prays and he intercedes on the behalf of the nation of Israel and Listen to his words verse 3 I set my face to the Lord God to seek by prayer and supplications with fasting and sackcloth and ashes and I prayed into the Lord my God and Made my confession and said oh Lord the great and dreadful God keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him and to them that keep his commandments.

He says, we have sinned and committed iniquity. So here Daniel now confesses the sins of Israel and knows that God is one who keeps his promises and also his mercy to them that love him. Now I believe he’s referring here to the fact that God had given back in the Old Testament the blessing in the curse which Moses read that if they were to keep the law given from Mount Sinai God would bless them that if they broke that he would discipline them and the same thing is true of us as believers as we’re obedient he will bless us and as we’re disobedient he will discipline us.

Turn if you will back In fact, Leviticus 26, I have found this very effective. When Jewish people ask, why is it that we have suffered such? And I believe if you read this passage, you’ll see the answer, why? They have not kept his word. They have not kept his commandments. Look if you will, in verse 3 of Leviticus 26, page 161, if you have the right kind of Bible. Let’s go feel reference Bible. It says in chapter 26 verse 3, If you walk in my statutes and keep my commandments and do them, what is God promised to Israel?

Then I will give you rain, induced season, and the land shall yield or increase, and the trees of the field shall yield or fruit. Your threshing shall reach into the vintage, vintage shall reach into the sewing time, you shall eat your bread to the full and dwell in your land safely. Verse 6, I’ll give you peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid. Is that happening today in Israel? No. Right now the suicide bombers or homicide bombers, whatever you want to call them, and the threat of life every day makes Israel a very difficult place today.

He says, I already will be stuck to the land. Need to show the sword go through your land. You shall chase your enemies, and they’ll fall before you by the sword. Well, that was the promise if they were to keep his word. I’m not going to read all of this, but let’s jump down to verse 14, where it says, if you will not harken unto me, and will not do all these commandments, if you shall despise my statutes, or if you’re a soul abhor my judgments, so that you will not do all my commandments, but that you break my covenant.

God says in verse 16, I will also do this unto you. I will appoint over you terror, consumption, the burning argue that you consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. You shall sow your seed in vain for your enemy shall eat it. I’ll set my face against you, and you shall be slain before your enemies, and they that hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when none pursue with you.” Isn’t that really what this happened?

Israel departed from God’s word, And because of that, God said, I will do this unto you. And we find ultimately, if you can read all the way through, you can see what God ultimately did, as he reminds him as they continue to live that way, God would bring judgment upon him. He says in verse 31, I’ll make your cities waste, bring your sanctuaries unto desolation. I will not smell the saver of your sweet odors. Verse 32, I’ll bring the land into desolation, your enemies which dwell their inch will be astonished at it.

Verse 33, are you ready? I’ll scatter you among what? The nations and God has done that because they didn’t keep it. If they had kept his commandments, God would have kept the peace in the land and they would have a great crop and they could lie at peace knowing that they’re safe. But he says verse 13, I’ll scatter you among the heat and I’ll draw out a sword after you. Your lands will be desolate and your cities waste. But we find that ultimately in verse 44, yet for all of that, when they be in the land of their enemies, which is scattered around the world, and we’ve seen this as of late, I will not cast them away.

Neither will I abhor them to destroy them utterly to break my covenant with them for I am the Lord their God. But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations that I might be their God I am the Lord. Does that sound like God is through with Israel? Maybe we got to email the Presbyterian Church USA, perhaps the Pope in the Roman Catholic Church that refused to recognize Israel.

God is not done with him. Even though he’s done everything he’s done here, he’s scattered them, brought their cities and their land to waste and so on. He said that while they’re out there in those enemy lands, I’m going to remember them and I’ll bring them back. And we’re living today seeing that end of it all where Christ is about to return and God’s future purpose for Israel will be fulfilled. So this is an interesting passage. You know Moses spoke these words, of course God spoke through him.

Later when they entered the Promised Land with Joshua, they came to Mount Gerasim and they stood there in the valley. And what is so interesting is that Mount Gerasim is covered with trees and is green to this very day, a beautiful fruitful mountain in Samaria. And just across the valley is Mount Ebal, E-B-A-L, and it is bald as Stone Mountain in George outside of Atlanta. You ever seen that? Just a bald piece of rock. Well, these are contrasts. And when Moses stood in the valley, he read those passages we just read, the blessing and the curse.

And when he read the blessing, he faced Mount Gerasim which was green and fruitful and full of trees and he read that I’ll bless you like this mountain is blessed. But if you don’t, and he turned to Mount Ebal and pointed to that mountain, he said, I’m going to bring judgment upon you and you’ll be like this mountain, this barren and desolate and nothing grows on it. And I always think of stone mountain in Georgia when I think about that because it’s just life that.

And that was a very good object lesson wasn’t it? When Joshua could take the people into the valley, they could look at the two mountains and he gave them the object lesson that you’ll be like this mountain gares them if you’ll only obey my commandments. But you’re going to be like this mountain over here that’s bald and desolate if you don’t. And that’s really what has happened. And I find that so many Jewish people are not even aware of that passage in the Bible.

Be sure to tune in to another edition of Bibleline from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida. There are a lot of religions like the Seventh-day Adventist and the Joe’s Witnesses that teach that the wicked dead are annihilated. But the Bible doesn’t teach them. The Bible teaches the soul will never die and the fire will never be quenched. Well, those people are going to be in for a surprise, aren’t they? They think, well, I guess if they’re lost, they won’t be too bad off because they’ll just be annihilated.

That’s not the case, my friend. You will exist forever and ever and ever and ever. And you’ll be in a place where your soul will never die. The fire will never be quenched. The Bible says there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Can you imagine? Enduring pain forever and ever and ever. I just can’t imagine it myself. But yet the Bible teaches it and I have to believe it. And that’s what I preach. Because, thus, say of the Lord, that’s what God says.

What a great passage here we have in Acts 13. It says here, be it known unto you, therefore. But therefore, reminds us of what it said and said before, and that it is that Jesus Christ died to pay for our sins, fulfilled all the prophecies concerning His first coming. Just a little bit earlier, it says over in chapter 13 of the book of Acts where we have been studying, it says here, Men in Brethren, verse 26, children of the stock of Abraham, Jewish audience here, and Gentiles, whosoever among you that feareth God, to you as the word of this salvation sent.

For they that are at Jerusalem and their rulers because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every Saturday, every Sabbath they. They have fulfilled them in condemning him. Notice the prophecies had told that Christ would be condemned, and they fulfilled those prophecies in condemning Christ and crucifying him, and it says they have fulfilled those prophecies in condemning him, and though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate, then he should be slain, and when Then they had fulfilled all that was written of him.

They took him down from the tree or the cross and laid him in a sepulchre, but God raised him from the dead. God raised him from the dead. Jesus Christ came back alive from the dead. And then it says in verse 31, and he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galileated Jerusalem who are his witnesses unto the people. Jesus Christ came back from the dead and he was seen then many days, 40 days to be exact after his resurrection before he ascends back up into heaven.

And it says, we declare unto you good tidings, glad tidings, how did the promise which was made unto the fathers, God had fulfilled the same unto us, their children, in that he raised up Jesus again. So it says, be it known unto you therefore, verse 38, be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren that through this man Jesus Christ the one that was crucified, the one that was buried, the one that was risen again from the dead is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins.

You want to have your sins forgiven? Well the Bible says by Him that is the Lord Jesus Christ, all that believe that word means to trust or rely upon to put your confidence in to rest your weight upon. All that believe, all that trust are justified that is declared righteous in God’s courtroom of law. From all things that means every sin, everything that you could possibly do wrong in your entire lifetime was paid for by Jesus Christ and all those that believe or trust on Him are justified from all things.

And then it says from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. And then it says verse 40, be where? Be where that you don’t perish without Christ. Be where that you don’t die without trusting Christ as your only hope of heaven. Because if you die without Christ, my friend, you’ll be forever and ever and ever lost. I hope you’ve trusted Him as your Savior. There’s no greater news than this news that we just shared with you today.

That’s Acts 13 in particular verse 38, 39, and 40. But the whole chapter is certainly well worth reading and studying. And marking up, it’s a great chapter that really just outlines the whole story of the coming of Christ and how He fulfilled the prophets and the prophecies that they gave about His death, burial and resurrection. And that He came back from the that just as he said was seen of many and then of course went back to heaven. All the books are trusting to Him are justified from all things.

We’ve got to run. Keep looking up. Jesus is Kevin and we believe He’s Kevin soon. You’ve been listening to Bibleline, a presentation of Bibleline Ministries of Tampa, Florida.
