Now if you can, please open your Bibles to the book of Daniel chapter 12 and join us for Dr. Lindstrom’s teaching for today. If you manage to endure to the end when Christ comes back and ends the tribulation at seven years of509th, then you’ll be spared to live into the millennium. But if you, it’s not talking about being saved eternally or not going to hell but going to heaven, it’s talking about being eligible in of the millennium and Christ will shorten that time at just seven years.

Now hold your finger right here And let’s go back to Daniel and look at chapter 12 verse 1, where this is saying the exact same thing. Daniel chapter 12, notice if you will, verse 1. And it says, and at that time, that time being the same time we’re reading about over there in Matthew, as we’ll see, shall Michael stand up? We know that happens in the middle of the tribulation period. The great prince which standeth for the children of thy people, Daniel’s people, get ready.

Now look at what it says in the middle of the verse. There shall be a time of trouble such as never was, since there was a nation even to that same time. Notice it talks about a time of trouble that there’s never been the likes of it. What did Jesus say in Matthew 24, 21? For then shall be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to to this time, no nor shall ever be. He’s talking about the same period of time, the last three and a half years of the tribulation period, and it’s at that time Michael the Archangel will stand up for the Jewish people, and those who are believers will flee to the country of Jordan, and they will be delivered.

Now I want you to hold your place in Daniel, and this time go to the book of Jeremiah, In turn, if you will, to chapter 30, Jeremiah, chapter 30, notice Jeremiah also describes this same period of time. It says here in verse three that the Jewish people would return to their land after being dispersed. Jeremiah 30, page 8.04, page 8.04, chapter 30, verse three. For lo the days comes, they have the Lord, they’ll bring again the captivity by people Israel and Judah sayeth the Lord, I will cause them to return to the land that I gave the father.

And they shall possess it. These verse four are the words that the Lord is concerning Israel and concerning Judah. Verse five, for thus say of the Lord we have heard a voice of trembling, of fear and not of peace. So as the tribulation period begins it’s going to get worse for Israel. Verse six, ask ye now and see whether a man that travail with child, wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his ones as a woman in travail and all faces are turned into paleness.

Are you ready for seven? Notice the same as in Matthew, the same as in Daniel. Alas, for that day is great so that there is what? None like it. Didn’t that what Christ said? There’s never been a time like this period. There’s none like it. It is even the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he, Jacob, remember his name was changed to Israel, shall be delivered out of it. So here Jeremiah says that day is great, there is none like it.

What does Daniel say? That this is a time of trouble, just like Jeremiah says. And such as never was, since there was a nation, even until that same self-time, which means in the middle of the tribulation. Jesus says in Matthew 24 that this would be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, than it shall ever be. So obviously all the prophets are in agreement that this time will be this horrible time when the Antichrist will come against the Jewish people, will control the western world from the Middle East, he will be ruling the earth from Jerusalem until Jesus Christ comes back and overthrows him and Christ will take over the earth from him and become king over the earth and rule over the earth as king of kings and lord of lords.

Now, it tells us here in verse 1 of chapter 12 of Daniel that at that time, thy people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book. So the believing Jews will be delivered from this tribulation period to live into the millennium. And I believe that’s what it’s talking about here. That they will endure to the end. Many of them will flee to the Rock City of Petra in southern Jordan and there be spared from the Antichrist and will live into the thousand year end of Christ.

Verse 2 also at the end of the tribulation period there will be the resurrection of the saved of the Old Testament and of the tribulation period. Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, to shame and everlasting contempt. Well it’s talking here about the Old Testament saints and the Tribulation saints. The church age saints that are saved between Pentecost and the Rapture get their resurrection bodies at the Rapture. So I’m going to get my resurrection bodies seven years ahead of Noah, Job, Isaiah, Jeremiah, David, all of the Old Testament saints will have to wait seven more years.

And you’re going to get your body at the same time I get mine. If you’re a believer, you’ll be giving your new body at the event of the Rapture. But the Old Testament saints have to wait until the end of the Old Testament, which the last seven years haven’t ticked off the clock yet. And that’s what Daniel’s prophecy in chapter 9 is all about. There is still seven years hanging out there. And those last seven years will tick off the clock once the Rapture happens.

That’s why we don’t belong in the Tribulation period as the church. We’re going to be taken out. We get our resurrection bodies at the Rapture and then the last seven years take off the clock and at the end of that period of time, at the end of this time of trouble that has never been the likes of in all of history, then the Old Testament saints and the Tribulation saints will receive the resurrection bodies. And notice it mentions here, those are going to be raised to everlasting life.

Then it mentions the second resurrection. We know that happens after the thousand year end of Christ. The book of Revelation makes that very clear that it’s a thousand years later and some shall be raised to shame and everlasting contempt. So here’s a good reference to hell. It’s called here a time of being resurrected to shame and everlasting contempt of God. that’s hell, whereas those who are resurrected at the beginning of the thousand year reign of Christ at the end of the tribulation period when this time of trouble will end, and it’s at that point that the saved of the Old Testament and tribulation period get their resurrection bodies.

Then verse 3, they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and they that turn many to righteousness. As the stars forever and ever. I believe this is a promise to those who witness. And obviously we’re wise, the opposite of being a fool, if we trust Christ, because we become saved. But if you look over Proverbs 11 and 30, Proverbs 11 and 30, a verse that motivated me when I first became saved, It says in Proverbs right after Psalms, and I’ll give you the page number as soon as I’m there, and I’m almost there.

Proverbs 11, page 680, it says in verse 30, the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he that winth souls is wise. Well, I couldn’t get this verse out of my head as a young believer, I thought to myself at this point I had not yet let a soul to Christ and I said to myself, if God says that winning souls is wise, then I’m not very wise because I have not let a soul to Christ.

If I’m going to be wise, I’m going to have to start trying to tell somebody about how to be saved. This verse motivated me to do that. But then when we get over to chapter 12 of Daniel, look at the connection between that verse in this one where it says, and they to be wise. Who is wise? He that winth souls is wise. They to be wise shall shine as what? The brightness of the firmament. And the next phrase, usually in these verses the second phrase really explains the first phrase, they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.

Things talking about the rewards that are given out to those that are wise to win people to Christ. Thank you for joining us. We hope that you are enjoying today’s teaching on the book of Daniel. Now, please join us for a segment featuring Dr. Lindstrom answering questions from callers. We have Adam in Tampa, Florida and Adam, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yeah, my question is about Matthew. He comes from Matthew 419 where he said, follow me. He said that was a delineation between discipleship and salvation. And I agree with you as far as the separation there. But in this particular verse, it could be said that he was people Peter and his brother, Andrew.

They weren’t believers at this time. And when he said the following, that was a combination of believing on him. You could just explain that. Well, that is not true. If you read John chapter 1, Andrew and Peter were saved before the incident in Matthew 4 19. If you read John chapter 1, you find in verse 40, Andrew was a believer, a follower of John the Baptist, and heard the Gospel preach by John the Baptist. And then it says in John 1, 41, and Andrew first finds his own brother Peter and says we have found them a sign.

And so Andrew leads his brother Peter to Christ. Later at a subsequent time at the Sea of Galilee, Jesus finds them fishing back at their job and says, follow me and I’ll make you fish as a man. Totally separate occasion and it was a second decision for them to become disciples. weren’t being invited to be saved in Matthew 419, they were already saved. Thank you. That makes perfect sense. Can I ask one more question? Sure. It’s in Acts in chapter 10, 45 and 46 of the verses that you did explain.

It says in the believers from a circumcision from a peer were made because they gave it the Holy Spirit was poured out even on Gentiles. When they received this one, did you just explain that? Sure. That only occurred three times in Acts 2, Acts 10 and Acts 19. And then tongues disappears off the scene. This was a sign to Jewish people at which the Bible They apparently were looking for a sign and require a sign as it says in Corinthians.

And this is a sign that God had now turned to the Gentiles. Here these Gentiles were given these Gentile languages that they had never learned or had been taught. And the fact that they could speak in these foreign languages without any training was in evidence that they were obviously saved and given the Holy Spirit. But the gift was a temporary gift, and after Acts 19, the third time, it’s no longer even mentioned, and tongues goes off the scene, and disappears for nearly 2,000 years.

And then we have the rise of the false gifts today, in 1906 in Azusa Street, California. The modern day two, tongues movement began, which is not a language at all, it’s a gibberish. And that gibberish has been done by all the world religions and is still being done by all the world religions, but is not Christian, it’s not biblical. And we have a lot of people falling into that trap. But the real gift was a genuine known language, and it was to be used for evangelism, and it helped further the gospel at the very beginning.

And in 1 Corinthians 14, 22, it says, tongues are for a sign, not of them to believe, but of them to believe not. So we have tongues given at Pentecost, we have tongues given at the house of Cornelius in Acts 10, and we have tongues given to those that had gotten saved that were followers of John the Baptist that Paul leads to Christ up in Asia there in Acts chapter 19. After that it’s gone over, done for, not around anymore, and I hope that helps explain that a little bit for you.

Thank you so much, Adam. was Adam and now we’re going to go to St. Petersburg, Florida and we’re going to talk to Edmund and Edmund. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Dr. Lynch, I’d like to know what is the soul, what is its purpose, what happens to it after we die. I’ll hang up and listen for your answer. Alright Edmund, this soul is the real you. And when you die the soul continues on and the soul goes directly to the Lord if you are a believer.

Second Corinthians 5, 8 says absent from the body, present with the Lord. And the Bible says that if you’re an unbeliever at the moment of death that you will be absent from the body and you’ll be present in Hades which you will never get out of not going to hell but you’ll be cast into hell eventually after Satan as angels are cast in. But the soul is the real person, the real you, and the Bible tells us in Matthew chapter 10, this is a fascinating verse where Jesus tells us as believers, as disciples.

He says, fear not them which can kill the body but are not able to kill the soul. The soul does not die, it will live on forever and ever. 1 Corinthians 15 tells us that the soul is an ever-living soul that God created from the very beginning and our souls will never die. So you’ll either be in heaven forever as a believer in Christ or you’ll be in hell forever as an unbeliever. But your soul is the real you and you’ll be there forever.

Edmund, thank you for your call from St. Petersburg, Florida. We now have a caller from Newport, Richie. We have Tina on the line and Tina, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Hi, Tina. You’re on the air. Okay. I believe he’s going to tell what I was going to ask, but about where the when we die. I’ve always heard and read and I’m a believer that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

I cannot find those words in that particular way because then I have a follow-up question saying in 1 Thessalonians, the fourth chapter where it says that the dead and when Christ comes back the dead and Christ shall rise first. Well, if we die, the believers die and go to heaven, then why do we need, does it need to say or who are are they talking about when it says the dead in Christ shall rise first? Great question. You know, Tuna, the answer is 2 Corinthians 5, 8.

2 Corinthians 5, 8. Apsum and her body present with the Lord. Now in 1st, let’s say that then. And 2 Corinthians 5, 8. Then in 1st Thessalonians, you read about the dead rising 1st. That’s referring to the body. The soul upon death goes immediately to be with the Lord, but you will not get your new body till the time of the rapture when Christ comes back. If you read verse 14 in 1st of thessalonians chapter 4, it says, if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, that’s the gospel.

Jesus then will bring back with Him the souls of those that have died. So they’re with Him and their souls are with Him, but their new bodies will rise up from the earth and speaking about those that have already died that are believers, their souls are with Christ. He’ll come back with those souls, their new bodies will rise up from the earth and they will be united, soul and body, their resurrection bodies, and they will forever be with the Lord.

Then we which are alive and remain at the event there which is the rapture will be caught up and meet them in the air and will be given our new bodies at that particular time. So it’s talking about the body as compared to the soul. The soul goes to be with the Lord, after the body present with the Lord, but you don’t get your body. But those that have already died get their bodies first so that dead in Christ, those that have died as believers will come back with Christ through new bodies will rise up from the earth and they get their bodies before we do who are living and when we are caught up to meet the Lord just a split second later we get our new bodies.

Because I had searched and I had tried to find that particular universe that says to the absent from the body I’ve always said it I’ve always told people but I said sometimes it may be as though you hear something and then you kindly add your own little thing to it. So is this actually true that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord? And I believe that and if that is true then I didn’t understand the part in Thessalonians where it said the dead in Christ shall rise first.

How can I rise again if I’m already with Him? As we just explained this the body, Dina, your souls with the Lord then your body will be raised from the earth at the return of Christ of the Rapture. I hope that helps. All believe us now because I finally thought maybe it had something to do back with the old time saints of the Bible, you know, Abraham through righteousness and all. Nope, it’s not. And I was just wondering if that’s what we’re talking about.

Tina, if I died right now, my soul would go to be with the Lord. But if the rapture happened to week from now, my body would not rise up from the earth until next week. So the dead, I would be considered the group that have died since Pentecost, and my body would be waiting to rise at that event. But my soul would already be with the Lord. So let’s talk about the body. Okay, because there again it brings another question.

question of where i mean another thought in my mind i’m always thinking the thing that uh… it says that i want to return it so therefore our soul has already taken i mean our body has already decayed if we’re in the grave you know before the rapture and our body has decayed so that was what was confusing me i couldn’t uh… kind of put that together then that uh… the we’re the dead in christia right first but uh… i i said you’re gonna get a brand new body and and apparently it will be a material body that will rise up from the earth to meet the Lord of the Air.

Tina, thank you so much for your call and I hope we’ve brought some clarification there. We hope that you’re learning with us. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. No passage in all of scripture has been so misunderstood as James 2 14 through 26. Faith without works is dead. He’s used again and again by those that would add works to salvation has their proof text. Most Christians don’t know how to explain James to 14 through 26. Therefore, when those who teach falsely use James to prove their point seldom does anyone ever refute them. Christians need to know the answer.

Do you know how to explain James 2 14 through 26? Not being able to explain this passage will hinder your effectiveness as a Christian witness. So often the lost will object to the true gospel by saying, Faith Without Works is dead. Well, if you can’t explain this phrase, then you will probably make no further progress with the one to whom you are witnessing. A new twist also falls is to say that if you do not have works, then you have no faith, and therefore you are not saved.

Many Christians have been confused and robbed of their assurance and the steadfastness of their faith by this presentation. Words are subtly added to the plan of salvation. Works are subtly added to the plan of salvation by this misteaching of the book of James. First of all, when you’re reading James, you might want to make note that it’s written to the saved. James is written to believers. Notice the phrase, my brethren. You’ll find it in James 1-2, 1-16, 1-19, 2-1, 2-5, 2-14, 3-1, etc., etc.

the book James is saying, my brethren, my brethren, my brethren, my brethren, my brethren, he’s writing to those who are believers and members of the body of Christ and brothers and sisters in Christ’s body. James writes to people who are already saved and the subject is not how to become saved but the Christian life and how to receive rewards in heaven. James is writing to those who are born again. Note James 1-18. James says, of God’s own will, begrat He us with the word of truth, that we should become a kind of the first fruits of His creatures or creation.

James 1-18. The question is not loss of salvation, which is impossible, but loss of reward. Blessing, salvation is what is promised to the doer of the work in James 125. So salvation in the Bible without exception is always presented as the gift of God. It’s not earned, not deserved, it’s given by God. It was purchased at a great price. It cost the life of Jesus. His life was shed, his blood was shed in order to purchase our salvation. James 2.14 talks about profit.

Profit is something earned, something deserved. Salvation cannot be earned and is not deserved. And so Paul uses the same word profit in 1st Timothy 4.8, where again the topic is reward. And Paul were obviously on the same page. Paul says, for bodily exercise, profit little. But godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. So rewards and blessing come as a result of our living a godly life.

James is speaking of the judgment seat of Christ. Many verses talk about the judgment where believers will give it account for what they have done since they have been saved. James is saying to a believer that faith without works will not produce any reward, and it will not save you from the embarrassment, the regret, the loss of reward that he will experience at the Joseph’s seat of Christ, where the believer will be giving an account for what they have done since they have been saved.

How do we know that James is talking about the Joseph’s seat of Christ? It’s pretty easy to figure that out. The context of James demands that in James 1 and James 2 12 It says so speak ye and so do ye as they that have been judged by the law of liberty This could only be referring to the judgment of believers that the judge is made of Christ And in the case we’re so glad that you’re listening today And I hope you’ll be ready now for the second half hour We’re gonna rejoin stations that have been on break get ready for the second half hour Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area?

You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. And now back to Bibleline. Welcome back from the break. This is Tom Perry for Bibleline Ministries. We hope that you’re learning with us as we listen to real-life questions and scriptural answers from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Have you been able to join us for Dr. Lynch from teaching series on the book of Daniel? The series covers a variety of topics from the book of Daniel, such as Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, the fiery furnace, the handwriting on the wall, the lion’s den, Daniel’s many visions and their interpretations, in addition to many exciting prophecies.

We hope that you will plan to join us and open your Bible for our verse by verse study of the book of Daniel. If you have missed any of the teachings in this series, please call our Resource Center at 1-800-576-3771. Now please join us as we return to our question and answer segment and then we’ll return to more Bibleline teaching from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We’re going to go now to Ken in Tampa, Florida. Ken, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.

Hi. How you doing? Good. had to do with an issue that occurred in church and it was a majority of the deacons got up after the meeting and there have been good men at this court in the church and they got up and read a statement of confession that they had sent against the interim pastor and against congregation by attempting to dismiss him without following the scriptural injunctions for having, I think, two witnesses to bring accusations against him. And that I can understand, but when they finished the confession, they said that as part of the confession, they would not take the Lord’s Supper for a year.

And this was like a kind of penance as far as I could see. And I didn’t know of any scripture that would say that this is, that this is scriptural. I was wondering what you could say about that. Well, I would agree with you that that would be unscriptural because we are to come to the Lord’s upper because we do sin as believers. And this is our opportunity to get this thing right. You know, it says in 1 Corinthians 11 when it describes the Lord’s suffer that we come and we should come getting examining ourselves, judging ourselves, which I believe includes 1 John 1 9 where we recognize that we have sinned, that we confess our sins to the Lord individually, and that He’s faithful and just to forgive us our sins, the things that we confess to Him as being sin.

And it says also that He not only forgives our sin, but cleanses us from all unrighteousness, and then we are eligible to partake. But no doubt about it, believers are centers after we get say we still commit sins but we are to confess those and claim his promise of forgiveness and cleansing them we’re to come to the Lord’s Supper we are not to stay away but we’re to come and so I think that would be wrong they should come to the Lord’s Supper.

Okay okay thank you very much. Okay thank you Ken and certainly it sounds like a kind of a penance I would think too which is certainly not scriptural. We’re going to Carl in Tampa Florida call. Welcome to the Bible on your own ear. Good morning Pastor Hank. Question in Hebrews 1026. If you could read that and then if you could explain what that means then I’ll just hang up and listen okay. Alrighty Hebrews 10 verse 26. This is a verse that seems to be one that people stumble over and I’m almost there and we’re going to take a look at that.

It says in verse 26, if we sin willfully. First of all, we note that the writer of the book of Hebrews, and there’s debate over who is the human writer, we believe of course God is the author of all scripture and that Hebrews does belong as one of the canonical books included in the scriptures. But it says here, if we sin, so this is talking about a believer, the writer of Hebrews, including himself with other believers. So this is talking about believers.

If we sin willfully, and it could be translated, for though we sin willfully, because as believers, we still sin, and I believe most sins are willful sins. That we know what we’re doing when we sin. And so it says here, if or though we sin willfully, after that, we have received the knowledge of the truth, which I believe talks about our salvation experience. It then says there remain it, no more sacrifice for sins. The whole point here is this book is written to the Hebrew believers.

They were used to the yearly sacrifice where the high priest would go in to the holy of holies and he would take blood in sprinkling on the mercy seat. Well here in this chapter it tells us that that type of sacrifice that the offering of blooded of the bulls of goats and calves could not take away sin, but then talks about the sacrifice that Christ would make that would be only offered once to pay for sins forever. And it says in verse 10, by the Witch Willer, by the will of God, we are sanctified or made peer and holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Verse 14 tells us that sacrifice takes care of our salvation forever, for by one offering he have perfected forever them that are sanctified. Then verse 17 says, and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now here’s the key passage here verse 18 Karl. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering. Now I’ve taken the phrase, no more offering and circled it. There is no more offering for sin. The one time offering of Christ on the cross of Calvary was sufficient to pay for your sins in mind.

And that is the past sins, the present sins, the future sins, and also the sins of the whole human race. And once you trust Christ. These sins and iniquities, He says, I will remember no more. And once He’s forgiven your sin, He says, it remains no more offering for sin. Well, I’ve taken that phrase and gone down to verse 26 and circled the phrase, no more sacrifice for sins, which is equivalent. And it says here, even though we sin willfully, there still does not remain another sacrifice necessary for us to take.

In other words, the one time sacrifice of Christ saves you eternally even though you might sin willfully after you become saved. So you can sin willfully after your saved, but you’re still saved. You don’t need another sacrifice. The one sacrifice of Christ is sufficient for eternity. But then it goes on in the following verses to warn about two things. That if you are going to be adversarial to this, that God will judge you, and that means he will spank you or discipline you, and this is God’s chasting or discipline upon the believer.

And it says here in verse 30 at the last phrase, the Lord shall judge his people. That’s the believer. And then it says in verse 31, it’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. So the believer is going to give an account and will be judged by the Lord and will be disciplined. Also, the following verses after verse 31, 32 to the end, talk about rewards and the loss of reward to the believer who doesn’t serve.

And so if you sin willfully, you’re going to get yourself in trouble with God, but you won’t be lost. You don’t need another sacrifice. The one sacrifice of Christ has been sufficient to save you for eternity. That’s a quick answer, but Carl, I hope that helps. Are you still there, Carl? I think Carl may have hung up. So I hope that helps. And by the way, if you go to my website and you go to the bottom right hand side of the home page, it’ll say Dr.

Lynch from Zarnicles. If you go and look at the titles, you can look up Hebrews 1026. I titled an article on that very verse. And I think that’ll give you a much more detailed answer and hopefully it’ll be helpful. We’re going to go to Mississippi. We have an anonymous caller from Hadesburg, Mississippi and welcome to Bibleline. And great to have you on board today. Go ahead. You’re on the air. Absolutely. And God bless you, sir. Thanks for these omniscient.

Was he omniscient? Did he know everything? And if not, was there a time that he did know everything? Yeah, he did know everything. You see many verses where even in the garden when the troops came with Judas, he knew what was going to befall him, John 18, verse 4, and so on. And he came into this world to die and he told his disciples numerous times that he would be delivered in the hands of the chief priests and the scribes and they would crucify him and he would rise again the third day.

So there was no doubt about that. But yet he was also truly a man and as a man he was dependent upon God his father and he needed obviously to call upon him. And he did. You can see the many times where Jesus prayed. And as a man was dependent upon God, as we as men are dependent upon God, and need to call upon him for help. So he was, as a man, he got tired. He got hungry. He had the sleep at night and so on.

But as God, he could raise the dead. He could walk on the water. He could multiply the loaves and the fishes. he could forgive sin. He could raise the dead. So obviously he was the God-man and will fully or maybe we’ll never fully understand it, but will more fully understand it at least when we’re with him in heaven. Well, the only reason I said was because, like during the time of Lazarus, he asked where have you laid him? I don’t know if he was just asking that or did he not know it was that the man shot of him?

Yeah, obviously he as God he knew. Sure. Okay. All righty. Thank you sir. All right. And he delayed his, you know, he wasn’t that far away, but he delayed his coming till Lazarus had been dead four days. And obviously that’s quite a remarkable miracle when somebody’s been dead four days. It’s a miracle. This wraps up today’s question and answer segment about the Bible featuring Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We hope that you have enjoyed it and that you are growing in your knowledge about the word of God.

The next phrase usually in these verses the second phrase really explains the first phrase, they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever. Things talking about the rewards that are given out to those that are wise to win people to Christ.

And what is interesting here in the phrase where it says, they that turn many to righteousness. Satan’s counterfeit is you get people to clean up their life, stop their drinking, get rid of their habits or addictions. You see a lot of this in Christianity and that’s all you talk about is changing, changing or transforming their lives. Whereas I don’t think this is what it’s saying. really turning a person to Christ and His righteousness which is required for salvation. Because according to the Bible we have to be as righteous as Christ.

You are going to have it in our righteousness or as filthy rags. I say it is 64 or 6. So to turn someone to righteousness means we turn them to Christ who is righteous, who took our sin and paid for it by His death at our place. And when we trust Him, God makes this exchange where He takes our sin or did already take our sin of the cross and paid for it and exchanges with us and gives us his righteousness.

So when we turn to somebody to righteousness, it’s not closing down all the bars and blowing up all the liquor, you know, like bush gardens here and in other cities, it might be nice if we could get rid of all of them. But that is what it’s talking about here. Turning people to righteousness means we turn them to Christ, who is righteous. When we trust Him, His righteousness is then credited to the account of the believer. And it says, if you turn many to righteousness, which is soul-winning, you really lead them to Christ, then they will shine as the stars forever and ever.

A wonderful promise of reward. And I believe that all of us, as we pray for and support the winning of souls of Christ, partake in all of that fruit that is one where people are one to Christ and you’re a part of all of that. And what a joy it is, because this is a time of harvest, I believe. We’re right at the end of the age, and when we lead someone to Christ, they’re going to go up with us at the Rapture, and that is what is called the harvest.

I want you to look over now to Micah. I just wanted to leave these thoughts with you before we leave this class tonight. But let me get you the page number. It’s right after the Prophet Jonah. I know that I help you a lot. And if you’ll turn over to Micah, page 950, here in the Old Testament, we do not have the Rapture, but we do have the consequences of what happens at the Rapture being shown. So on page 950, chapter 7 of Micah the Prophet, it says, woah as me, or judgment is unto me.

For I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits as the great cleanings of the vintage. There is no cluster to eat by soul desired the first ripe fruit. What kind of harvest is taking place here that he’s moaning and be wailing here? Verse 2, the good man is perished out of the earth. Who is the good man? Well the good man is the saved man because there’s none good, Romans 3.12. There’s none righteous, Romans 3.10. But the believer is made righteous when he places his trust in Christ and God sees the believer as good or righteous.

So the good man is perished out of the earth and there is none upright among men. If you were to step on the earth right after the rapture, there would be no saved people on the earth at all. This is what he’s looking at. Micah is seeing this in this prophecy exactly what it will be like the moment after the rapture. Nobody left on the earth that’s saved. It says, there is none upright among men. That is the story once the Rapture happens.

All the good men, all the saved men, all the righteous men are taken out of the earth of the Rapture. It says, they all lie and wait for blood. They hunt every man, his brother, with a net. Verse 3, that they may do evil with both hands openly, earnestly. The prince askseth, and the judge asks for a reward or bribe. The great man, he uttered his mischievous desire, and they wrap it up. They pay off the judges, they pay off the congressmen, they pay off the government, and they get whatever they want done in a very open way.

They don’t even hide their evil. Verse 4, the best of them is as a briar. Obviously a briar is not a bush you want to encounter. The most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge. The day of thy watchmen and my visitation cometh, now shall be their perplexity. So it’s talking about this tribulation period. And now Christ is about to come seven years after that begins. And boy, when Christ comes to visit, now shall be their perplexity because if they don’t know the Lord, He will destroy them all and all unsaved will be killed by Christ and destroyed and not enter the Millennium.

But only the saved will enter into the thousand year reign of Christ. This is going to be a very dark hour on the earth. So the harvest, I say, is now when we get the last one saved, we can get saved. And then the rapture happens and they’re taken out. And then as Micah sees it right after the rapture, there’s nobody left that saved. The good men, the saved men, the righteous are taken out”},{” the earth and they won’t be here.

So those that are going to lead others to Christ will obviously be rewarded in a wonderful way. is the stars forever and ever and those that turn many toragedness and all can begin with the people we have closest to us to us and our loved ones are saved and then expand outward and ever widening circles to reach others and haha I Von we get all the successful these are times when I think people are listening because of the wake up calls God is giving in this earth that that these are times when people are listening.

You’re watching the news, obviously, ocobo things that just tear our hearts up. The teary, shy of a thing, the little girl being taken and raped, the child up north that went into his high schoolipment and killed his principal and ate other classmates from one to 13 others. And the news just goes on and on with just nothing but bad news. And if you watch it all day long, it gets very depressing, doesn’t it? You just, I don’t know how you can sit and watch the news all day long because it’s just all.

All seemingly bad news in this world. And we haven’t seen the worst of it because once the Rapture happens it’s going to be far worse than that. And aren’t you glad that you’re not going to be here after the Rapture during the Tribulation period when the best will be like a Briar and the best will be like a Thornhedge and they’ll all be rotten. They’ll be none upright upon the face of the earth as it begins and of course there will be those who will get saved.

So Daniel here takes us all the way to the same place the book of Revelation takes us and that is the judgment of the unsaved dead who’ll be raised to shame in everlasting contempt. And I’ve guiActiveUn people tell me that hell is not in the Old Testament. Everlasting life is not in the, well you know that’s wrong. Daniel 12, 2 says some will be raised everlasting life. Some will be raised to shame in everlasting contempt. So obviously they haven’t read their Old Testament or they couldn’t make a statement},{” like that.

And there are many other references but it’s one that’s one that’s one that’s conspicuously before us here tonight that the Old Testament in the book of Daniel talks about Jesus, the Son of God was in the furnace with Shadrach Myshek at Abednego. We know that there is everlasting life, there is everlasting contempt and one day it’s all going to come to pass. But in the focus of all of this we have the world powers that Daniel outlines how they will come right on down to the end times.

And then we have Israel surviving all the way through all of that and rebuilding their temple, offering sacrifices again, the Antichrist, then desecrating that temple, putting his image in there, then hunting the Jews down, and there’ll be another Holocaust or bad days ahead for Israel. They’re already hated, and they’re going to be hated more than they’ve ever been hated after the rapture. We’re going to go to chapter 12. We were there last and in verse 1. It says at that time, shall Michael stand up.

That’s Michael the archangel and he will stand up the great prince which stands for the children of thy people. This is Daniel’s people. During the tribulation period, the last three and a half years will be the most intense and God is going to miraculously protect the Jewish people as the Antichrist will try to destroy them. In Revelation chapter 12 it talks about how the Antichrist will go after the Jewish people. And two-thirds of the Jews in the country of Israel are going to be slaughtered and nine-tenths of the Jews scattered around the world will be slaughtered.

And that’s why I have a particular heart to reach Jewish people if we can, because if they get saved now, they go up with us at the rapture and won’t be left for that horrible time when Satan will do all that he can to cause as many Jews to be killed and to not come to know Jesus as their Messiah as he possibly can. It’s pretty easy to figure that out. The context of James demands that in James 1 and James 2 12 It says so Speaky and so do ye as they that have been judged by the law of liberty This could only be referring to the judgment of believers that the judgment of Christ James 2 14 we find No believer will be saved exempted from the believer’s judgment of works.

No works will bring about no reward or no profit. So death in the Bible, by the way, always means separation. Physical death is the separation of the Spirit and the soul from the body. 2 Corinthians 5, 8, is a great verse, absent from the body, present with the Lord. The second death is the separation of the Spirit and soul from God, in hell, forever and ever. Knowing this definition of death will then help you understand the phrase, Faith Without Works is dead.

Being death means separation and not a cessation of existence. We look at James 2.26 because this verse really gives the whole chapter of perspective. It says in James 2.26, for as the body without the Spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. So if I were to die physically, my body would drop to the ground and my spirit and my soul would go to be with the Lord, absent from the body, present with the Lord. Would I still be alive?

Yes, I would still be alive, I have eternal life. But my body would not have any vital signs and would not be able to display my life to anybody in the human realm or the physical realm or the physical world. I would be present with the Lord and I’d be very much alive. In the same way, James says, faith without works is dead. What does he mean? Works are to faith as the body is to the Spirit. The body displays the life of the Spirit.

Works display faith. The only way I can display that I’m alive is with my body. I move and I talk and you can hear me and see me and so on. But the only way I can display that I have faith is by my works. So if I have no works, does that mean I have no faith? No, of course not. That would be like saying that if I die physically, I would no longer exist. The truth is, I have eternal life, even though I may lose my body.

I’m still very much alive. And if you have faith but no works, you simply cannot demonstrate that faith to another that you have faith. That is the point that James is making. Yeah, a man may say he says, Thou has faith and I have works. Show me your faith without thy works and I’ll show you my faith by my works. To be an effective Christian, you need to have works and that’s the only way you can earn reward. And one day James is saying you’re going to give an account and can faith save you?

Of course, when you trust Christ, you’re saved from hell, but can faith without work save you? And is talking really about the judgment of Christ and it cannot save you from the embarrassment to regret the sorrow, the loss of reward, the tears that will be shed by the believer who has done no works since they’ve been saved. I’m Dr. Inglenschram, this is Bibleline. God bless all of you who pray and give the Bibleline, and we pray that everybody listening is saved, as trusted Christ alone is the only means of their salvation.

Gotta run, but keep looking up, Jesus is coming, and I believe he’s really coming soon. I really believe that. God bless you, have a great day. I’m Dr. Inglenschram, we’ll be back tomorrow.
