If you don’t already have your Bible handy, please go get it now and join us for the conclusion of Dr. Lindstrom’s teaching on the book of Daniel. It also says your knowledge should be increased. Doesn’t mean that you or I would be smarter, but the cumulative knowledge of mankind is doubling now at an incredible rate.

If you graduated in a particular field of expertise within a couple of years, your education is out of date. You have to go back to be refreshed and renewed in whatever you’re doing. Every field is changing rapidly like that, isn’t it? We have a photographer. He used to be filmed. Now it’s all digital. all kinds of new techniques. And no matter what your field of expertise is, it’s changing, changing rapidly. And that’s what the Bible says here. Knowledge would be increased.

We’re in the last days. And here God gave Daniel that insight thousands of years ago. It’s a new world. It’s a new ball game. Everything is so rapidly changing. We can hardly keep up with it. And generally the older generation is still saying, you know, I can hardly work with my TV changer, much less all these other gadgets that are out today. Verse 5, then I, Daniel, looked and behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river and the other on that side of the bank of the river, and the one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, how long shall it be till the end of these wonders?

Then I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up His right hand and His left hand unto heaven and swear by Him that liveth forever and ever, it shall be for a time and times and half a time. Now we never knew the meaning of that until we got the book of Revelation which opened the book of Daniel to us. And in Revelation chapter 12 we already saw this phrase once before in Daniel, now we’re seeing it again.

accountable to 1260 days or 3 and 1 half years. So now we as we know the meaning. Time is equal to 1 year, times is 2 years, 1 plus 2 is 3 and then a half is a half a time or half a year, it’s 3 and a, in other words, the time of trouble that we saw in verse 1 where Michael stands up and defends Israel and keeps them from totally being destroyed from off the earth by the Antichrist will be for the last three and a half years of the tribulation period.

When he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, then all these things shall be finished. So at the end of the tribulation period, at the end of the seven years, at the end of the last half, which is three and a half years, then the tribulation period will be over and ChristProsecutor will return. And I heard, but I understood not. And then I said, oh Lord, what shall be the end of these things? Now what is interesting here is that Daniel, the human writer, some might say the author, but really God is the author of scripture, Daniel is saying, I wrote all these things down, but I don’t understand what I wrote down.

Now isn’t that interesting when you think about inspiration? Normally the author of a book would know what he had written about Wow. And understand what he had written about. You would hope that an author would know what his book contained. Daniel says, I’ve written this book. I’m at the 12th chapter now. It’s ended and I don’t understand. I don’t understand what I’ve written. That’s inspiration. God is the author. Daniel didn’t understand what he had written. Isn’t that amazing? What a concept.

I love that in the margin. I’ve read inspiration. Daniel wrote under the hand of God this incredible book about the future that Daniel himself never really understood his book because it really wasn’t his book. Daniel was just the means of conveying these words to us today. And this book was to be shut up and not really become open or understandable till the end of time. And now we’re living at that time when we have the book of Revelation and we can see more clearly as we see the world coming into focus in line with the things we’re reading about here in this book that were there.

This is the time when Jesus will come back and I just love her save because Daniel didn’t even understand what he wrote. When people say about the Bible that it’s just written by men, look at what they all say. I don’t understand what I’m writing. I’ve written a book but Lord tell me what it means. When Then she’ll be the end of these things. Verse 9, God says, sorry Daniel, go thy way Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end.

So Daniel didn’t get to know what he, the meaning of what he had written. Isn’t that amazing? So Daniel had to leave this book as a mystery because he didn’t know what it meant. And of course the book of Revelation then opened it up as the book of Revelation just exposes It says in verse 10, many shall be purified and made white and tried. Now there I believe is talking about salvation in the first phrase there that we are made pure and holy before God based upon faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ at the cross and made white in contrast to our sins being like Crimson.

As it said in Isaiah 118, the sins will be washed away and will be white as snow. Well, here it says, we’ll be white. And then it says, tried. So during the tribulation period, many Christians will be tested. And already we’re being tested this side of the rapture. Every day we are being tested. If you hadn’t realized it, you need to wake up because every day God gives you a day to use. And you’re being tested. will you use the day that God has given to you that day?

Are you going to step up to the plate and do what God would have you to do that day? Or are you just going to get caught up in activities of the day when the day will disappear and you haven’t done a thing for God? Obviously, we’re being tested. We’re being tried. An opportunity will come our way. Somebody will come and maybe ask a question that opens the conversation to talk about the and maybe you’ll just kind of push it aside and not tell them.

We ought to be ready when an opportunity comes our way and stand up and speak up. I was invited to a luncheon and you were there on Saturday, mostly Spanish women who are trying to keep the theater in Ebor City alive and I didn’t realize I was going be just one of two men at this, a event of over 250 ladies. But I was asked to give the prayer, the invocation, and the president of that organization, who did he, I can’t say the Spanish, but anyway, the group, she introduced me to me to acquire her, she invited me to give the invitation and she introduced me as a pastor of her church and blah blah blah blah blah and I was able to get up and talk about this was a special week to link it to the week of the passion the week of the

crucifixion and Christ resurrection. Being celebrated this past Sunday, and in my prayer I preached the gospel and gave John 3 16 and talked about how that if a person would trust in the death and shed blood of Christ is the only means of their salvation, they would be saved and receive eternal life and so although I was blessing the food, I told everybody how to be saved and she’s not here. She’s a witness. She was there. And so they got more than they bargained for with me when you asked me to pray.

I have a lost audience. I’m going to tell them how to be saved and not just what is a knock-elice prayer that says nothing. But we have an opportunity. I could have just said, thank you Lord/*for this food, amen. God bless you and sit down. But I said, this is my opportunity. I believe at the same time God is testing me. Will I stand up and speak for him? Will I mention his name? Will I tell people about how they can be saved through Jesus Christ.

And I said, Lord, I know you’re testing me. And I’m going to step up to the plate and try to hit a home run and try to give the gospel to this crowd of ladies. I think we have an opportunity all the time. If we just look as the day goes on, what does God want to do through me today at this hour and step up to the plate and do it as we have opportunity? So many will become saved, it says, and many will be tested during the trib uint period, perhaps more than we in a sense by the persecutions that we are not really having to experience right now.

But then it says the wicked. You have to in your mind recognize that when the Bible talks about the wicked is talking about unbelievers. And when it talks about the righteous is talking about believers. The Bible says in Romans 3 and 10 there is none righteous, no not one. So the only way anybody could be considered righteous is if they trust Christ and have Christ’s righteousness credited to their account because none of us are righteous. No, not one. And beginning in the early pages of the Bible, Genesis 15, Abraham believed God concerning the Messiah and it says it was a calendar to him for righteousness.

And everybody who’s ever been saved has been saved that way by simply believing the gospel message that Abraham believed. And he was made righteous in God’s sight. But what do you have to do to be wicked? Just not trust Christ. And already you’re considered wicked because even a person who is a good person that society views them in God’s sight is wicked because their righteousness is wickedness. The Bible says even our best righteous deeds are filthy rags in God’s sight.

So your neighbor that might be a law abiding citizen, a good parent, a good citizen, a good neighbor if they don’t know Jesus are wicked. Now please join us for a segment featuring Dr. Lindstrom answering questions from callers. We have Matthew down in Sarasota, Florida and Matthew, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the end. Hi, Dr. Lindstrom. My name is Matthew from Sarasota and I just had a question for you. I’ve got a friend of mine who’s had kind of a discrepancy. And he comes from a kind of a Calvinistic background and talking about salvation. He says that we don’t have a choice as far as who gets saved and what not as we were predestined to get saved.

And I thought that we always had a free will and that even back in the garden of Eden, when Eve made the decision to sin, she made that choice. Likewise I thought even when we spread the gospel to friends or whatever, they had the free what to%] to choose. Well, you’re exactly right and he is wrong. Let me give you a great verse. Here’s the problem with people like your friends. They read part of a verse and they don’t really read the whole thing.

Let me give you 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 13. We are here Paul the Apostle writes and he says we are bound to give thanks always to God for you Brethren be loved of the Lord because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation Now they usually stop right there, but if you read the rest of the verse It says God from the beginning have chosen you to salvation through Sanctification of the Spirit that’s God’s part and your part belief of the truth You have to believe the truth.

The next verse talks about believing the gospel. And when you believe the gospel, then you become saved. And God does his part, the sanctification in his spirit. It means the Holy Spirit declares you and makes you pure and holy in God’s sight based upon the fact that Christ died for you and paid your total sin dead at the cross. So we are chosen based upon our belief. belief. So if you become a believer, then you become one of the chosen.

But if you never become a believer, then obviously you’ll never become one of the chosen that will go to heaven. God elects to save all that would believe. It’s in John 3 16. D.L. Moody said it is simply as I’ve ever heard it. He says, the Husu over wills are the elect and the Husu over wants are the non-elect. And in John 3 16, it says, for God to love the world, that’s the human race that he gave his only begotten son, that’s Jesus Christ, that whosoever and there it is, anyone and everyone that would believe on Jesus Christ would not perish that they’d have everlasting life.

But the negative is implied there that if you don’t believe you will perish and you’ll not have eternal life. So the choice is yours. Yeah, I think that’s what I felt that God didn’t make us robots. He gave us a free will to choose him or to not choose him. So there was a Just saving on our part Absolutely, and throughout the Bible there’s no verse where it tells us that God has made the choice for us What God has done is he’s chosen before the foundation of the world To save all that would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ And he chose before the foundation of the world to not save those who do not believe on Christ And so there is one unpardonable sin and that’s to die without trusting Christ as your Savior Thank you so much.

You’re welcome, Matthew, and call again if you get a particular verse that he gives you that you can’t handle. Thank you for calling in. We have Linda in Dunedin, Florida. Linda, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Pastor. How are you? It’s Linda and Dunedin. Well, good morning and welcome. You have a question? Thank you. Yes, sir, I do. I know God’s will for me is Jesus. How do I know what his gift in me is so that I might glorify him?

Well, there are 19 gifts of the Spirit that are given in the Bible and what you need to do is Test out what you have if you basically see a need in a particular area and then you attempt to meet that need you’re drawn to do that and then you you find out that in doing so you have the ability to meet that need you probably have that gift some people say I think I’d like to preach but they they don’t have anybody listen to them and they don’t have any skills in that area so Obviously, that’s not their gift.

But whatever area you’re gifted in, you’ll be able to function and see God bless you. So you just need to start doing it. And we have a wonderful book, our resource center here, called 19 Gifts of the Spirit. And some of those, of course, have ceased. They were temporary in nature, like the spectacular ones of healing and tonguescluding and prophecy and knowledge. Those were all temporary gifts. But there are many gifts still remaining and everybody has at least one gift and you need to find out what it is.

And so as I began to see a need to win people to Christ and I went after people and tried to share the gospel, I found I was effective. And so I believe that one of my gifts is of Angelism that I’m able to lead people to Christ. But again, what is interesting is even if you don’t have a particular gift, it doesn’t mean you’re not the function in that area. In other words, if you don’t have the gift of evangelism, you’re still to give out the gospel.

If you don’t have the gift of giving, which is one of the wonderful gifts of the Spirit, you’re still required to give. If you don’t have the gift of helps, you’re still required to help people. And so on and so on. So it doesn’t mean that you operate exclusively in the area of the gift that you have, but we’re to function in all the gifts, but we’ll excel and be fruitful in the area where God has gifted us. And you just start trying what you feel God has given you.

He shows you a need and you have a desire within you to meet that need. Then when you try it you find your effective and you have the ability to meet that need and if that’s the case that you have The shoe that fits your foot and you have the gift whatever it is Hopefully that helps you Linda And thank you very much Linda must have hung up we now have buddy in Jacksonville, Florida and buddy welcome to Bibleline you are on the air Thanks, sir.

I’d like to start out with saying I’m a new baby crashed fairly new eating here good. I’ve got our question and Romans 10, 6, and 7. If you could understand that a little bit, I appreciate it. And I’ll hang up Mr. Eu real close. Good enough. I’ll be turning there right now and we’ll try to give you an answer. Thank you. Buddy in Jackson, Dothora, asking about Romans chapter 10, verses 5 and 6. Here it It says that Moses describes the righteousness which is of the law.

And of course that’s the Ten Commandments plus the many other commandments. Nobody has ever been able to keep the law. And so verse 4 tells us that the righteousness that the law demanded is actually satisfied in Christ. And when you believe on Christ the Bible declares you as righteous as the law had demanded based upon what Christ did for you. five goes on to say that the man which doeth those things shall live by them. In other words, if you are trying to be saved by the law, then you’ll be lost because you’ll never be able to keep the law in order to be saved.

Verse six says, but the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise. And that is the righteousness which is the faith which is when you trust in the substitutionary payment that Christ made for you, buddy. God credits your faith in Christ for righteousness. Let me refer you back to chapter 4 verse 5 of Romans where it says to him that workedeth not but believeth on him that is on Christ who justified then godly his faith in Christ is counted for righteousness.

So your faith is counted for righteousness when you put your faith in Christ as your Savior and that’s what it’s talking about here. So it says in verse 6. But the righteousness which is of faith, that means when you place your faith in Christ, then you have God’s righteousness imputed or credited to your account. And it speaks upon this one. Say, not in 9 hearts, who shall ascend into heaven? That is to bring Christ down from above. Or who shall descend into the deep?

That is to bring up Christ again from the dead. but what say of it the word is nigh unto the even in my mouth and in my heart that is the word of faith which we preach that is if you trust Christ as your Savior if you believe he died and was raised again from the dead God says you’ll be saved. I hope that helps putty but it’s talking about the law which cannot save and Christ who is the one who will fill all the law and credits his He’s right to us, or we trust him as our Savior.

That’s 1-800-576-3771. We were talking yesterday about Romans 10-9. I really don’t like to use the Roman road in evangelism because Romans 10-9 and 10 is used and it really requires explanation. It’s amazing to me more than those who get it right, most get it wrong when they read Romans 10-9. It says here in this wonderful verse that if thou should confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus really should read Jesus as Lord But what it’s referring there to is the deity of Christ.

It’s clear in the context It’s clear in the quotes from the Old Testament that is talking here about when you recognize the deity of Christ and Believe that Jesus who is God in flesh died on the cross was buried and rose again from the dead you’re going to be saved. That’s what the gospel message is. That’s what the verse is saying. And it’s really saying that you need to acknowledge that Jesus is God. Yesterday we talked about Philippians chapter 2 which talks about this very same theme and how that Jesus who died on the cross of Calvary because he as a man went to the cross was obedient to death and died.

God therefore also has highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name. The name of Jesus is actually from the Hebrew Yeshua and it’s the contraction of two words God’s personal name which is Yahweh and then the word for salvation Yahshah and Yeshua is that contraction. It occurs over 130 times in the Old Testament and we find that the English pronunciation is Jesus. That is the name. The The Bible tells us here in verse 11 of this chapter in versettp, that every tongue will one day confess that Jesus Christ is Yahweh, or He is Jehovah, however you pronounce God’s name.

And one day in hell, everyone in hell will confess that Jesus Christ is Jehovah. That’s really what this verse is saying. thing is in Romans 10-9 and what it is is that they’re going to acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Jehovah, He is God. When you believe that Jesus is God who took on flesh and that He died and was buried in rose again from the dead, the Bible says in Romans 10-9 that you’re saved. But what we have here is many people not doing their homework and they’re saying that Jesus Christ is Lord and they mean by that master or the one who rules over you.

And they speak of it being a symbol of authority and sovereignty and so on and you have to submit yourself to the Lordship of Christ in order to be saved. That is not in this passage at all. Nowhere does it say that. In fact it isn’t that at all because that works for salvation if you had to submit to the Lordship of Christ to go to heaven. Now there are those who teach that and guess what happens? And this is why I am so passionate about this because if you read Matthew chapter 7, Jesus talks about how the majority, perhaps of those that are called Christians, will get the wrong meaning here and they will recognize the Lordship of Christ as far as serving him after he becomes saved, but they will apply it as a means of salvation and as a result not be saved at all.

Let me quote to you Matthew 7 verse 22 where it says, many, and I believe this many in contrast in this chapter to the few, means the majority. And many will say to me in that day, and that day is really the great white throne judgment described in Revelation 20 verses 11 through 15. And it says here in Matthew 7 verse 22, many or the majority will say to me in that day, Lord Lord. And obviously these people are recognizing the Lordship of Christ because this is the Greek word korias and it’s referring here to Master or Lord.

And speaking of exactly what we were talking about people getting wrong about Romans 10 9 about Christ being Lord over your life. And notice they then are obedient to that Lordship, and they brag in three areas where they have been obedient to the Lordship of Christ. And they say, haven’t we preached in your name? And haven’t we healed in your name? And haven’t we done many wonderful works in your name? And look at the result in verse 23 of Matthew 7.

Christ then will profess unto them, I never knew you. in the case we’re so glad that you’re listening today and I hope you’ll be ready now for the second435 hour. We’re going to rejoin stations that have been on break. Get ready for the second half hour. Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. Lindstrom’s teaching series on the book of Daniel. We’re now going to go to Carl in Tampa, Florida. Carl, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Yes, that’s to Hank. I was reading yesterday and it said in Luke 3, 16, you know, talks about the baptism Jesus will bring. Yes. And they had it somewhere, I was looking in the internet, it says in the law, but baptism will fire. Is that what they’re talking about? talking about back to the fire because Jesus talked about their that that guys are rather John the back to see be baptized with the Holy Spirit and with fire could you explain that and I’ll just go ahead and listen sure thank you the baptism of fire you don’t want unless that’s really hell you are going to be baptized either with the Holy Spirit which is what occurs for the believer

who becomes saved you are placed into the body of Christ by the baptism of the the spirit which makes you God’s position forever and ever and ever. But the baptism of fire is the casting of the unbeliever into hell where they’ll be immersed in the flames of hell fire forever and ever and ever. I’m going to turn to the passage in Matthew chapter 3 where it talks about the baptism of fire and it says there quite clearly that as soon as it mentions that baptism of fire which Christ will be the baptizer of those that are lost, it says here that he will burn up the chafe with unquenchable fire.

The unquenchable fire is the fire of hell that will never go out, and those that are lost will experience the baptism of fire. Some churches advertise that they offer the baptism of fire at that church, and I don’t think I’d want to go to a church like that because I think some of those churches deliver. really wind up going to hell if you believe their doctrine. So watch out. You don’t want the baptism of fire. It’s either one or the other.

Every believer receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit at the moment they believe. And if you die without Christ, then Christ will baptize you with fire, which is the casting of you in the everlasting lake of fire, the eternal hell. Thank you for your call. We’re now going to go to Christ in Chester, Virginia price welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air My question comes from the third by Luke when in Luke 36 36 to 47 and about being watchful and the part that gets me with the ones they’ve always saved and I’m listening to you I learn a lot I won’t agree with anything, but I learn a lot, but I want you to touch on this for me 46 1246 where it says the master of the servant will come on a date when he does not expect him and at an hour

He is not aware He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers Well obviously If you’re an unbeliever when Christ returns, that’s exactly what’s going to happen to you when it talks about a servant there He’s talking about Christ coming back at the end of the tribulation period seven years after the rapture And Christ is king and so everybody on the planet is his subject or his servant. And if you’re not a believer, then you’ll be given your place with the unbelievers and cast into the everlasting lake of fire.

So it’s not talking about a believer losing their salvation, but somebody who will be cut off from God who is not a believer. And we know that when Christ comes back, every unbeliever on the earth will be slain by Christ and will all be cast in the hell. Only believers will live into that thousand-year kingdom that Christ will establish all unbelievers will be slain Okay, but he calls him a servant those servants make them a believer, right? No, it doesn’t again I just said that a moment ago I said Christ when he comes back as king everybody on the planet is his servant whether he is a believer or not is not the point He is an unbeliever because that’s why he’s cast into hell Christ promises that he would never cast a believer for any reason in hell, John 637.

So if someone is cast into hell, they have to be an unbeliever. If you go to the simple verse in John 637 and interpret the difficult verse, the one in Luke 12, in the light of that, you know it cannot be a saved person being cast into hell because Christ will not cast out one. No, not one would be lost according to Christ own words. So this is a lost person and he separates the sheep from the goats, the saved from the lost and a second coming and the loss are appointed their place with the unbelievers in hell.

Okay, thank you. You’re welcome, Price. That’s called rightly dividing the word of truth. Second Timothy, 215 says that requires study. Study to show thyself approved unto God as a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, setting the truths of God’s word in right order. Now if you want one of the great rules of hermeneutics or the science of interpreting your Bible, you always interpret a difficult verse in the light of a clear one.

And if you do, you’ll never come out wrong. And that is you have a clear verse in John 637, John 639, that Jesus promised not one saved person would ever be cast out for any reason. And that he would not lose one saved person that they would all be saved and resurrected one day at the day of resurrection. So if someone is cast out and is cast into hell, they have to be an unbeliever because Christ will never cast out a believer.

And of course, the word servant is used in Matthew chapter 25 as well of a person who is lost and goes to hell, but he is a servant of the king because the king is over everybody, sovereign over everybody in his kingdom. If you are an unbeliever, a servant who is an unbeliever will be cast out, a servant who is a believer will be invited to come on in. So that is rightly divided in the word. You have to pay attention and study to be able to get that right.

We now have Carlos in Tampa, Florida. He says the 48 verses, actually it is 44 verses are missing from the NIV Bible. What other Bible verses are missing versus? We have another track here that will give you free, just call in and ask for us to mail it to you. It’s called the eye opener and it lists about 25 different modern translations and will actually give you a list of how many verses are missing from those Bibles. You’ll be shocked.

And of course, we’ll be happy to give that to you free. We have a book in our resource center called New Age Bible Versions that really will open your eyes to about 20 something newer translations. And it’s about 800 pages. It’s really a great, great asset to have in understanding what’s going on with these new translations called new age Bible versions you can call in and order it. We can chip it right out to you. We have Phil in Spring Hill, Florida leaves us off our question for us.

Why does God allow terrible tragedies to happen to small children or babies. The answer is Phil because of Adam and Eve’s sin. If you don’t like the headlines, you have to go back to Satan who actually tempted Adam and Eve and caused them to sin in the garden. That sin nature has been passed on. The wonderful thing is that children or babies under the age of accountability should they die will go straight to heaven. You know, with so many millions of babies being aborted today.

The good news is every one of those babies will be in heaven and you’ll see them one day, isn’t that great? So God in the bigger picture has a solution, but it is tragic and sad Okay, Andy in Tampa, Florida calls in and it needs a software question Please explain the difference between the son of God and the son of man versus Well, Jesus is both when he’s called the son of man. It means he’s man The phrase son of means to have the same nature, the same being or in essence to be the same as.

When Christ is called the Son of Man, it speaks about his human nature and the fact that he is truly a man. He got tired, he got hungry, he slept, he needed to eat and so on. As the Son of God, he has the nature of God himself and Jesus is God. That phrase was used of Christ and when Christ claimed that he was the Son of God, they said it was blasphemy. He’s claiming to be God. And so as God, Jesus could raise the dead.

He could forgive sin. He could walk on the water. He could multiply the loaves and the fishes and so on and so on. So we find that both of these phrases are true of Jesus. This wraps up today’s question and answer segment about the Bible, featuring Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We hope that you have enjoyed it and that you are growing in your knowledge about the Word of God As believers in Jesus, there is no other topic that is more important to us than the gospel of Jesus Christ, and it was Dr.

So your neighbor that might be a law abiding citizen, a good parent, a good citizen, a good neighbor if they don’t know Jesus are wicked. Isn’t that amazing? I had to look at the Bible in a whole new way because when I first read the Bible and I read about the wicked I said these are the people in a maximum security prison.

These are the people that they really have locked away for life. These are people who committed heinous crimes and that was my vision of what a wicked person was. You have to really just take a fresh look. The Bible says anybody without Christ is wicked. And so we have two groups, the righteous and the wicked, those that are believers, those that are unbelievers. In the moment you become a believer, you’re righteous in God’s sight, not based upon anything that you have done, but based upon what He did for you and your place at the cross.

And the wicked are those that simply don’t know Christ. And everybody out there in this world that doesn’t know Christ is seen by God as wicked. And what are the wicked going to do? They’re going to do wickedly. Wow. So wicked people by nature do wicked things and the nature of man is what? Wicked. Jeremiah 17 9, the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. I read in my Bible and you can read it in yours, Jeremiah 17 9.

And so the person without Christ has this awful, evil nature we’ve inherited from Adam and it is desperately wicked, the Bible says. And so the wicked will do wicked. But they don’t become wicked by doing wicked things. They do wicked things because they’re wicked by nature. They’re without Christ and all they have is a sinful nature. And none of the wicked shall understand already we’re seeing that. Isn’t there a real divide between believers and unbelievers today? The loss cannot comprehend the things that we comprehend.

As we look at this world, we talk about Christ coming back and we talk about things that important to us that the world just doesn’t see us important at all. And you can see that they just don’t recognize that Christ coming could be near. They just dismiss it as being, you know, we’ve seen things like this happen down through time and there’s nothing different today about the time in which we’re living in it and it has been in the past.

But it says in the last phrase here, but the wise shall what? Understand. We have God’s help. We have is insight by having the scriptures in our hands. And so God looks into the future for us and tells us what will happen. And so the wise can look out and say, I know what’s happening. The handwriting is on the wall. Christ’s return is right around the corner. He’s coming back. We’re going to be raptured out. And the lost just don’t see it at all.

They just don’t see it. The wise, the wicked shall not understand, but the wise shall understanding. So I see that more and more now as we get closer and closer, more and more you can see this division between believers and unbelievers, those who value the Bible, those who value the Ten Commandments, those who value prayer in the schools, those who value moral values. And the Terry Shifo thing brings it to light the same way, you know, where do you stand?

And there’s the world that doesn’t understand and there’s the Christian who does understand. It’s an amazing divide. As I look at it, I say, wow, we’re more and more seeing two sides, polarized. Believers versus unbelievers, the saved versus lost, those that are righteous versus those that are wicked. Verse 11 says, from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away and the abomination to make a desolate set up. Now when does that happen? That happens right in the middle of the tribulation.

Remember Daniel 927 in the midst of the last seven weeks that has not yet happened yet. Seven, 70th week of Daniel the seven years that is yet to take place. It will start ticking off the clock once the Rapture happens right in the middle. The Antichrist, according to Daniel 927, stops the sacrifices that will have been resumed. That’s in the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem that will be rebuilt right after the Rapture. And then he’s going to place his image in that temple.

If you were with us a week or so ago, we said in Matthew 24, 15, Christ said, when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place. Now we know the word when there is a time word, and that when, according to Daniel 9, 27, is right squared in the middle of the tribulation period. The Antichrist will militarily take over the core countries of the Middle East. already on our way, I believe that we have started what will take place.

And the countries in the Middle East know they’ve in a sense been put on notice. And our president has said I’m going to bring democracy to the Middle East. And I’m going to guarantee Israel’s freedom, which is amazing, which I believe is really what the Bible says will take place in the tree relation period. And so it says from that time that the abomination that make it desolate is set up. That’s an image of the antichrist will be placed in the temple and it will be lifelike in living and speak according to Revelation chapter 13.

And apparently it will be like a robot but it could be a holograph, it could be any kind of image but it will appear to be lifelike and it will speak and I think it will speak in everybody’s language. I think there will be an Antichrist channel and depending on what country you’re in you’ll hear this man speak 24 hours a day as though he never rests, as though he’s omniscient knowing everything and also not needing any sleep that he is this very powerful man and that image will name off people that he’s going to have executed.

People will be fearful of the Santa Christ and He will keep them under His control by the fear that they will have for Him. And so it says here from that time there shall be 1,290 days. Now 1,260 days is 3 and a half years. So this gives us an extra 30 days. I believe what it’s telling us here, before Christ establishes His worship system in that temple that will have been rebuilt in Israel, that it will actually go a little bit into the Millennial Kingdom because we know that Christ will come back at the end of three and a half years.

He will come back as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to rule over the earth. But obviously there will be a little bit of time here beyond that second coming before the temple worship will be established again in the rebuilt temple. I think that’s is what the extra days are all about. Blessed is he that waited and cometh unto the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. So apparently that will be the time when people will really be able to rejoice and come to the temple and the worship system will be established.

And maybe by then the third temple will have been refurbished and cleansed of the antichrist and his placing his image there, and then the millennium will truly be underway with price ruling the earth from Jerusalem. Nobody seems to really know why they’re these extra days, but that is my speculation. That is my view that Christ comes right back at the end of the seven years at the end of the last three and a half years, which is the time of trouble.

And then there is some additional time during which the temple will be restructured, and I think the temple being mentioned, verse 11, gives us that reason to believe that, that the sacrifice will be stopped in the middle. The abomination of desolation is spoken of by Daniel here will be set up in the holy place, the image of the Antichrist. And then before it’s cleansed of that image and set up for the temple worship during the millennium, it will take all these extra days.

Verse 13, “…but go thy way till the end be, for thou shalt rest and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.” So that’s, of course, when Daniel would himself come back from the dead in the resurrection, it’s under everlasting life that we read about in Daniel 12, too. Daniel does not get his body until the second coming. David doesn’t get his resurrection body until the second coming. Noah, Jeremiah, Isaiah, all the other Old Testament saints don’t get the resurrection body until this time at the end of the tribulation period when the saved will be raised in their new bodies to everlasting life.

Now you and I who are in this age will get our bodies at the rapture, seven years ahead of the Old Testament saints and the tribulation saints. So you and I will have our resurrection bodies while Daniel and David and Chad Ragg, we’re going to be checking to go and all these other heroes of the Old Testament will wait until seven more years till the tribulation period is over to get their resurrection bodies. So we beat them out by seven years.

And perhaps that’s what it means when it talks about the last will be first. The Jews really were first and then he turned at the last to the Gentiles. But we’re going to be first in the resurrection to get our bodies at the rapture where those that were first will be last in getting their resurrection bodies after us at the end of the tribulation period. Isn’t that interesting? So it could be that that is one more of the meanings to that phrase.

The first shall be last and the last shall be first. And we’re last and yet we’ll be first in the resurrection first from getting our bodies, first from getting our rewards. The Old Testament saints will get their bodies and their rewards seven years after we get ours. And we have pretty much covered everything in the book of Daniel here. Thanks for tuning in to Bible Eyeing Today. This program concludes Dr. Lindstrom’s teaching series on the book of Daniel. We hope that you’ve enjoyed it and learned from it.

Not I once knew you and I lost you. That’s impossible. Wouldn’t you become saved, you’re safe forever? But He says, I never knew you. Why? Because they didn’t trust Christ and His death and shed blood is the only means of their salvation.

They were trusting in their works in the neurobedians to the Lordship of Christ. Many preachers use the expression Christ is Lord of all or he is not Lord at all I’ve sat into those kinds of preaches where they’ll say if Jesus is not the Lord of your wallet Then he’s not your Lord in other words if you don’t give to that church You’re not saved because Christ is not your Lord And if you’re not faithful in attendance then Christ is not your Lord and therefore you’re not saved and they add works in a very subtle way and it’s an incredible way of blackmailing people into being faithful in their church and giving money to the church.

But guess what? The end result will be they’ll all go to hell because they’re trusting in their works to be saved rather than Christ’s death and shed blood. These people, this crowd here in Matthew 722, it could read, many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, didn’t we trust in your death at the cross of Calvary that you were God who took on flesh? Pate our sin, doesn’t fool us, buried in rose again from the dead. Christ would say, come on in.

But notice they are not trusting in Christ to get them to heaven. They’re saying, Lord, look at what we’ve done and we have submitted to your lordship and have obeyed you and we have preached in your name, healed in your name, done many wonderful works in your name. will say, I never knew you. And then he says, depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Did you know that this is the unpardonable sin and that the greatest sin that somebody can commit is to commit that unpardonable sin, to reject Jesus Christ and substitute yourself in your works as the means of your salvation in place of God providing himself and the person of Christ at Calvary to pay for your In other words, this is a slap in the face of God to reject what Christ did and Jesus saying on the cross, it is finished and saying, no, it’s not.

I have to do my part. I have to be obedient to the Lordship of Christ. I have to keep on working, keep on giving, keep on climbing, keep on whatever. And God says, I never knew you. Depart for me ye that work iniquity. So Christ will never cast out somebody who has come and trusted him as their Savior, as the only means of their salvation, that he paid it all. In John 6, 37, Christ says, Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out.

If you come to Christ, you’ll never be cast out. I plead for the souls of those that are listening right now. If you’re trusting in anything in addition to what Christ did for you at the cross, you will not be saved. It tells us in the Bible that if you add one work that you have made void God’s death at Calvary in the person of Christ, and that the cross of Christ is made of none effect. 1 Corinthians 1 17 says that Paul tells us there that he was sent to preach the gospel not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

If you try to alter this message or change it up to make it sound good, I’m afraid that you might be in danger of altering the message and it becomes a message that won’t save. The cross of Christ would be of none effect to somebody who’s saying, Christ plus my works will get me to heaven. I plead for you that are listening that you trust Jesus alone, that He paid it all. And when you trust in His finished work, He saves you.

Yes, we’re to serve him, but not to be saved. We serve because we are saved. Now it’s my privilege to live for him and tell others about these good news. Gotta run, keep looking up. Jesus is coming, keep your eyes focused on the Lord. Dr. Engman’s are saying, a Bible will be back tomorrow.
