This is Daniel chapter 7 verse 13.
I saw in the night visions and behold one like the Son of Man came with the clouds of heaven and he came where? To the Father upon the throne. Isn’t that what we were seeing in chapter 4? We have the throne seen. We have the God the Father upon the throne. We have now Jesus the Lamb who was slain, now coming as the Lion of the tribe of Judah. And what does he do? He takes the scroll out of the right hand of the Father.
What does it say in verse 13? I saw in the night visions and behold one like the Son of Man. Jesus came with the clouds of heaven. He came to the ancient of days and they brought him near before him. And verse 14 says, and it was given him dominion and glory and a what? A kingdom. So notice, he goes to the ancient of days to God the Father and is given a kingdom. The kingdom is represented by the seven seal scroll, which is the title deed to the planet earth.
And so he can’t take over the earth until the Father gives him the scroll. He’s worthy of that scroll because he defeated Satan when he came the first time as a lamb. And so here we have a kingdom. And this kingdom is noticed that all people, nations and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away and his kingdom, that which shall not be destroyed. So he’s going to get a kingdom that will never be overthrown.
Now it’s true he lives and reigns on the earth for a thousand years. There is a challenge at the end by Satan, but Satan is defeated and cast into hell at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ. And the kingdom of Christ continues on into eternity and he shall reign for ever and ever and ever. And so once Christ takes control at the end of the tribulation period. He will then reign forever and ever and ever and ever.
His kingdom will never end. His kingdom will continue beyond the millennium into eternity future. And he shall reign, handle put it to music, and it just gives me chills bumps every time I sing that because it’s just really scripture put to music. You want a song that will last a long time? Use the words of Scripture and put it to music. Because the Scripture will endure forever and ever. Jesus said heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
So obviously, Hannah made a smart move. He’s got a song that’s going to continue to be loved every year. It’s sung as a love song. The songs that incorporate Scripture are obviously going to be around for a long time. The other songs they come in they go and they’re the fads and different musicians and they come in they go But the songs are lasting That lot of the hymns we have in our hymnal. We were written hundreds of years ago We still sing them today because their songs about Jesus about God and obviously they’re gonna be around for a long time and that’s what happens here Luke chapter one What was Mary told when Jesus came the first time?
Luke’s Gospel, chapter 1. Luke 1, we find here, the angel Gabriel appears to her and he says in verse 31 of Luke 1, And behold, I also conceive and thy woman bring forth a son, and now so called his name Yeshua, or Jesus. Verse 32, he shall be great, and he shall be called the son of the highest, and the Lord shall give him a throne, and give Give him a kingdom. When does that take place right after the Rapture?
Where does it take place in heaven? The Lamb is worthy to take the book out of the hand of the Father. He takes the title deed to the earth. And now as the seals are broken, the way is prepared over the seven-year period for Christ to take away the planet from Satan, and then Christ will become ruler over the earth, and his kingdom will continue on into eternity future. It’s not quite an amazing story. What we have here is first how the way is prepared in heaven.
It won’t be long until we get to chapter 6 and we’ll come down and see how the way is prepared on the earth as the seals are opened and we see what takes place after the rapture in the tribulation period. Will the church be here? No. caught up with chapter 4 verse 1, the Rapture. Church is no longer mentioned. Everywhere now between chapter 4 and the end of chapter 19, we’re in the tribulation period. That helps you get a picture of where you are, anywhere in there.
What are we talking about? Well, we’re talking about the tribulation period. You know that now, and when somebody’s asking you about those chapters, you know where you are. You’re in the tribulation period. And you’ll be seeing things either happening in heaven or on the earth. We jump back and forth and we surveyed the tribulation period and you’ll get a picture with many overlays that give us a pretty good picture of what’s going to happen during that seven years. Significant, isn’t it, that God would devote most of this book to those seven years that prepare the way on the earth and in heaven for Christ to come back and rule and we’re going to be out of here before that takes place.
We’re going to leave at the Rapture. When you take in the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the lamb, obviously he deserves worship because Jesus is God, the Lamb of God. Having every one of them harps in golden vials full of odors and it says which are the prayers of the saints. And they sung a new song saying, Thou art worthy to take the book and to open the seals thereof. Why was the lamb worthy?
Because thou was slain, and has redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred and tongue and people and nation. Notice Christ was worthy to take over this earth. He defeated Satan at the cross by redeeming us to God by his blood. It’s interesting that the sin plan of salvation is always the same, always right on. salvation has nothing to do with what we do for God, but what he did for us in Christ, that Christ redeemed us how?
By thy blood, by thy blood. And this is a redemption that is offered to all men. People of every nation, kindred and tongue, and people are able to be saved by trusting in the Lamb of God that was slain. So again, the planet’s salvation is salvation by the blood, salvation by the death of Christ, salvation through Calvary and what Christ did there has no mention of what we are to do. And yet, I’m talking to people every day that are thinking they have to do something to be I’m tired.
I led a young Roman Catholic girl to Christ yesterday. And as we were going over it, she kept going back to her former system of belief. But don’t you have to, and what about, and as a, look at the scriptures. It has nothing to do withJM, anything that you will do. It’s not of your works, it’s not of yourself. It’s the gift of God. And first John was the clincher because she couldn’t argue with the fact that God said if she believed on Christ that she would have presently everlasting life and that she could know that she had it.
That’s the guarantee verse 1 John 5, 13, that God has written to those that believe on the name of the Son of God that she may know that you have eternal life. So here, notice the living creatures and the 420 elders sing this new song about how Christ is worthy to take the book. And then it says in verse 10, and it made us unto our God, kings and priests. We’re going to come back in rule, and so therefore all of us have been made kings.
And it says, notice and priests, which means we have been authorized to tell others and take the things of God and bring them to others so we can minister as a priest in telling people about how their sins might be forgiven and how they can be saved if they’ll only trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God that was slain. The last part of verse 10 says, we shall reign on the earth when we come back. We’ll rule and reign with Christ on the earth during the thousand year earthly rule.
Then verse 11, I beheld and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne. These have to be God’s angels. And notice it tells us about the number of them. These were angels around the throne and around the living creatures and the elders and the number of them was 10,000 times 10,000. Multiply that out, that’s 100 million. And then it says here, and more than that, thousands of thousands, which if you multiply thousands of thousands, it’s a million.
So there’s 100 million plus millions more of angels about the throne. Verse 12, singing, no. You’ll never find a verse, if you’ve been around me, you found that out. That says an angel ever saying anything. Now notice we have the 24-olders singing in verse 9, they sung a new song, but angels don’t sing. It says, saying with a loud voice. Thank you for joining us. We have now Linda in Spring Hill Florida. Linda, welcome to Bible Aid. Oh, good morning. Excuse me, good morning, Dr. Hank. Good morning. I’m glad the enemy couldn’t knock you flat and hinder your ministry.
Praise the Lord. Well, we had a great time in the hospital. My assistant brought a big plaque down and we put it on the wall. said how to go to heaven find out here. And we became really a dispensary of salvation in the hospital. We were getting nurses saved and then we did two of our radio shows live from my hospital bed. It was a mirror of Paul, right? We had a ball. I mean I really, you know, I think that’s what God wants us to do is take advantage of situations because who knows all of what God has in mind but certainly one of the things is that we’re not to, you know, have a pity party, but take advantage of the situation we’re in and use it for the glory of God, and there are people that I would have never met, never had contact with if
I hadn’t gone. And then plus I… He meant it for bad and God meant it for good, right? And now I have a much greater understanding of what people go through when they are confined to the hospital or are limited, like now for a few weeks taking these antibiotics that I have to take. It’s just changed my whole schedule. It takes an hour and a half every day to take that antibiotic into my arm. And so I got to march through that for a while.
But anyway, I’m having fun. We’ll keep praying for you. But anyway, it’s been a joyful experience. Well, I called, you know, when I’m listening, I have so many things that I want to ask. But then by the time I get a chance to call, it’s like, oh well, what was or whatever, but the lady that I was listening to one of the archives, the lady that called last week and she said she was pre-perceptive and she went through the Rick Warren thing and wondered how she missed it.
You I just, every time I hear these people call, I want to say you owe it to yourself to get on the internet and go to your website and buy, deceived on purpose. I bought that one. And when I was there in person, I bought the new age versions of the Bible. I began with that a year ago and we had just started a church and I couldn’t believe all the church was just saturated with the NIV. And as I read that book and it just opened my eyes and I thought I know we hadn’t been in a church because we couldn’t find one that, you know, a proper one that taught the word.
And we got in this little church and it was like here there, he accepts everything of Rick Warren and he’s associate member now with Willow Creek. And we had to pick up and leave. And here I started Sunday school teaching and Emia broke my heart after all this time. But it’s those two books that showed me how corrupt the church has become and how aligned with the new age and how fast it’s almost to completion to be a one-world church.
And if people would buy these two books, they wouldn’t even have to ask these questions, is it or isn’t it? They’d see what’s going on. And then there was one other thing. I went on a website because I did a lot of research before I left the church to see if And I confronted to see if they were mistaken or something, but the whole organization was behind it. But anyway, the other was a ministry on the Internet, and they cited a very large ministry in Colorado Springs.
And this person sits on the board of this big league new age, or that’s very politically connected. They’re like, it’s a woman. I’m not at home so I don’t have the name and I’m thinking it’s Williamson or something, but Williams, but that same person was involved when he opened up his, when he moved from California and I forget how it said she was associated with him in his ministry there. And this thing he’s a secretary of is like something to do with psychologists and different leaders like that and how all this is affecting the world and all of it like a watch dog thing.
And then she references him as a good resource on the back of her New Age book. And these are books that are just one world government, one world religion. You know, some people just don’t want to believe this is happening. And yet the Bible is so clear, Linda. in 2 Timothy chapter 4 verse 3 it says the time will come which I believe it already has when they will not endure sound doctrine but after their own lust they would heap to themselves teachers and look at the ton of amount there that would tickle their ears and they would turn away their ears from the truth and be turned on to fiction or fables and we’re seeing it happen right before our very eyes and like you say I have those books in our Resource Center here which you may call and order them.
But the one you mentioned New Age Bible versions covers about 20 of these modern versions and just shows you how far off they are. Like you mentioned the NIV, the new international version. You know, that one is almost the same as the Joe’s Witness Bible. The new world translation is the title for the Joe’s Witness Bible. And the new international version is the title for the NIV. And notice word for word, it’s almost the same. New and new, international and world, same meaning and inversion or translation, same meaning.
And both of them drop totally in their entirety the same 44 verses. They are 44 verses in the New Testament. Acts 8, 37 is one of those right. The key verse in Acts 8 when the eunuch is led to Christ by Philip and where he confesses his faith in Jesus Christ as the basis of his being water baptized as a testimony of his faith in Christ and now he’s cleansed by the blood of Jesus. That’s gone. And if you look at the NIV, you’ll see verse 36, you’ll see verse 38 and you just see there’s a whole where verse 37 was, we have an NIV quiz that we send out for free.
Then if you take that quiz, using the NIV, As the source, you’ll get a zero because all the verses are missing that the quiz is based on. These 44 verses that the Jaws witness bibledozen the NIV are very much alike and you wonder if they didn’t consult each other. It’s just an amazing deception today. Someone else in the church that also left gave the pastor that quiz because he used the NIV and it doesn’t matter. They don’t want to see it.
They don’t want to hear it and that book, New Age versions. Awesome. This also shows how the new age strategically the people took our words that we use and have infiltrated them into the Bible, but they have a different meaning like the one. When they talk about the one, you would think, oh, the Lord or God, but no, they’re talking about Satan and they say it. They say it. He’ll show you their quotations. and it is exactly right it was just first of all it was just devastating and then you think yourself how my goodness how you know how did you go so long without realizing it and i was like so involved politically during the election time to try you know you’re thinking you want to get good christian people there and you’re fighting a battle to take us to a one world government and a one world religion
and i thought i was all my time in that near the church was like enough a speedboat a jetboat going to the new age and and i thought all my gosh this is having to shut everything off and stick to my bible and this goal field and guess what for our audience to know you know if you go to your christian bookstore they don’t sell the books we just mentioned you will not find new age bible versions in the christian bookstores anywhere because it would damage their business because it exposes the books that people are going to come in and buy also you won’t find a seved on purpose or who’s driving the purpose-driven church in the bookstores because they want to be politically or religiously correct and they’re just not there so uh…
uh… is it so if you go to the bookstore looking for you just not going to find them and uh… that’s that’s unfortunate and another thing pastor is you know when you’re saying to uh… encourage them to read the bible they’ve got to know what the bible it tells about these publishers and they’re now bought out by new age publishers and it’s the dollar the bottom line and they have a mission and these people have to know it isn’t just any bible that they have to read they have got to have you know that a bible that is using the proper manuscripts not uh…
egyptian fourth-century manuscripts by not stick Well you’re absolutely right and we’re really seeing it. Linda thank you for sharing all this. Thank you very much, Pastor God bless you. I appreciate that call. Linda thank you for telling us about that. We are no doubt watching what the Bible said would happen, happened in front of our faces. And a lot of people are just absolutely mesmerized by what’s happening and are not paying attention to what the devil is doing today.
This is a time when the churches are not enduring sound doctrine. But after their own lusts are heaping to themselves teachers now heaping to themselves teachers Can you imagine when before in all of history could you really have so many people instruct your teacher or tickle your ear? Today through the media through radio television through the books and the other means of conveying information It’s you can get your ears tickled every day But the tragedy is that people are not going back to the Bible.
The Bible is the book. And the Old Testament says that don’t say go look for a new way, but it says we need to go back to the old ways, to the Word of God, to the Scriptures. And these new ways are perversions, usually. And why accept the counterfeit? Why accept the false when you can have the genuine thing when you read the Bible. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. You know, it’s interesting that people don’t think that terminology apparently is very important. And if you could take a look at some verses with me, I think you’ll find that the Bible tells us that it’s very, very important. And if you turn to 1 Corinthians 1 in verse 17, we find that Paul says that I was sent to preach the gospel, 1 Corinthians 1 17, not with wisdom of words, the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
I know that some people use phrases and they think that they are going to be helpful or lead people to Christ, but some people say ask Jesus in your heart or invite Jesus into your life. And that’s not the gospel. And with wisdom of words, you can make the cross of none effect. I was raised with that and I was lost and it wasn’t until I finally heard it, 18, that you have to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior that I finally got saved.
What is so interesting is that we’re not saved by asking, we’re saved by trusting. When you go to the passage in Luke where you have Jesus on the cross and you have to two thieves crucified with him, both thieves ask to be saved. So what do we learn from that? We learned that you can ask and not be saved. The only the one that trusted Christ was saved. So you can ask Christ all of your life to save you and you’ll not be saved.
I could get up every morning and say, God save me. Close my day out in the evening and say, God save me. Lord, I’m asking you to save me. Please save me. Lord, save me. Save me. Save me. And if you don’t trust in the death and shed blood of Christ and His burial and resurrection, you will not be saved. Romans 1 16 says, I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for if the gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, that is, would trust.
You must trust the gospel message. The gospel message is the message that is the power of God unto salvation. And unless you trust in the death of the burial and resurrection of Christ, you will not be saved. And you have to trust on Christ to be saved. him to come into your life or promising to give him your life, none of those things will save and the devil is so clever that he actually makes the Christian of no effect in his witness by changing the words to maybe sound nice or palatable, but we’re not saved that way.
It says here, I am sent to preach the gospel in 1 Corinthians 1-17, not with wisdom of words lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. That means zero. Over in the book of Galatians it talks about how that if we change or alter the word of God at all it becomes an accursed message. In Galatians chapter 1 he talks about how there were those in the churches of Galatia that altered the plan of salvation a little bit.
And when they did, we find that they were actually preaching, then it says here, another gospel, not the gospel of grace, but grace plus some works. And so he says in verse 7 of Galatians chapter 1 that this is not the same gospel, it’s another. And there would be some that would trouble you and would pervert the gospel of Christ. So here’s the true gospel perverted by using other terms or terminology that would add to or subtract from what Christ says in the Scriptures.
In verse 8 it says, though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you, then that which we have preached unto you, let him be what? A cursed. So it says here, if you preach another gospel, then obviously you’re going to be a cursed and the one hearing it is not going to be saved, And obviously you’re in trouble with God. Verse 9 says, as we said before, so now I say again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you, then that which you have received, let him be a curse.
Very, very powerful message. So if you alter it or change it in any way, it no longer is the gospel. Amazing, isn’t it? Obviously you must pay the payment for salvation in order to be saved. Of course, if you paid for it, it would be held The Christ has made that payment, and unless you trust in the payment that He made for you, you will not be saved. That’s what the Gospel message is all about. We’re going to rejoin stations that have been on break into the second half hour by one, and we’ll be right back with you in one second, so don’t go away.

Please make plans to join us and open your Bible as we also present in-depth studies covering a variety of biblical topics. Now let’s return to our question and answer segment and then we’ll hear more Bible teaching from Dr.
Hank Lindstrom. I want to go to Colossians 2-8 where it says, be where, be where, lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. It’s amazing to me how many churches appeal to tradition. And many say that we need to follow the traditions of the church. And many claim a long heritage all the way back to the time of Christ and so on and so on.
But many times traditions are not squaring up with the Bible. Jesus spoke to the religious leaders of his time and said in Matthew chapter 15 in verse 6 He says, You have made the commandment of God of none effect, none effect by your tradition. Let me read that again. This Matthew chapter 15 verse 6, You have made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. So wow, He says to them in verse 7, You hypocrites. Well did Isaiah prophesy about you saying, This people draw near to me with their mouth, me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
In vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. So many times traditions are really the doctrines or the commandments of men, and oftentimes actually contradict what God has said within his word. And Jesus said because of their traditions they made the commandments of God of none effect. Think about this this passage in Matthew 15, because it talks about people can be religious. They can draw near to God, honor God with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
So there are many people who look like Christians, who talk like Christians, who walk like Christians, and yet are not Christians. Those who have rejected really what God’s Word has said and have accepted tradition and philosophy and other teachings over the teachings of God’s Word and over Christ. Let me go back to that original verse in Colossians 2-8. It says, Beware. You know what beware means. Oftentimes if you come upon a lawn where they have a dangerous dog watching out guarding the house, it’ll say beware.
Also, sometimes if you come to an electric substation where they have transformers and powerful electricity, there’ll be a sign that says beware and so on. It’s a sign that should cause us to be alerted and it says beware lest any man spoil you. That word in the Greek means to seduce. They’ll seduce you through philosophy and vain to seat after the tradition of men and after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ. This is scary stuff, isn’t it?
And we find here that earlier in the chapter Paul is he writes to the people at Colossae says that we, as we proclaim the gospel, are making known what is the riches of the glory of the mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you the hope of glory. When we trust Christ as Savior, Christ comes and indwells in our body, not because we invite Him to come into our life, but because we trust His death and shed blood is the only means of our salvation.
we trust Christ’s death and shed blood, then as one of many dozens of consequences Christ comes and indwells in us. And he is the hope, and by the way the word hope in the Greek is not a word that means doubtful, but really means something that we can expect will take place and with great anticipation. So the word hope in the Bible really means something that we expect, an expectation, that we anticipate excitedly knowing that it’s going to come to pass.
It is not doubtful at all. It’s an absolutely assured thing. And that is what it’s saying here. Christ is the hope of glory. In other words, we’re going to be in glory. We’re going to be in heaven. We’re going to live with the Lord forever because Christ is in us and Christ said he would never leave us. Hebrews chapter 13, it says in verse 5, Jesus says, I will never leave you. If Christ ever came into you as a result of your trusting Him as Savior, trusting that He died and shed His blood to pay for your sin, then the hope of glory, Jesus Himself in you will never leave you.
That’s His promise. I can’t believe how many denominations and organizations say or teach that you can lose your salvation. Obviously, they’re denying the very words of Christ. They’re contradicting what the Bible has said. And this may be a tradition of their church, but it’s one that absolutely makes the commandment of God of none effect because you’re denying the salvation that God offers through faith alone. Whenever you say you can lose it, then you’re saying that you must do something and how you live your life from this point on until you die determines whether you’re saved or not.
That makes you the Savior, not Christ. It makes salvation by what you do or by works. And therefore is one of these things where yes, you can, with your lips, honor God, but your heart is far from God because you don’t know Him. And because you have been seduced through the seduction of those that would take you away from Christ by the traditions of the church and by the philosophies of the church and so on and so on. You need to pitch those things out when they contradict the Bible.
And so Paul is saying this wonderful message is exciting that we proclaim. But then he says in verse 28 of chapter 1 of Colossians, whom we preach, that is Jesus Christ, the Savior, the hope of glory, the only means of reaching heaven. And then it says here, warning every man and teaching every man. One of the interesting things about ministry is that pastors who are paying attention to what the Bible tells them to do will not only teach, but they will warn.
And that’s one of the things I believe is a responsibility that I have as well, that we’re to warn every man. And then it says here, teach every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man mature in Christ Jesus. So if I only taught and didn’t warn, I would be negligent because Paul says, we are required to do both. We’re required to warn and we’re required to teach. That’s Colossians 2, 28. Let me read it again. Christ, the hope of glory, which is in you, whom we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom that we may present every man, mature in Christ Jesus.
If we didn’t warn you, you might go astray, and therefore you could not be a mature disciple and effective tool of the Lord Jesus Christ. And so Paul says he labored to that end and then it gives this warning in chapter two and verse eight where he says, be where? Be where lest any man seduce you through philosophy and vain deceit after the tradition of men and after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ. And then it says in verse nine what a grand verse this is, for in Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
What a statement. It’s saying that Jesus Christ is fully God and all of the fullness of the Godhead dwelleth in the person of Jesus Christ. And you are complete verse 10 in him. Christ to as the head of all principality and power. So Jesus Christ is the Savior, and we need to be careful about traditions. There were many traditions that the Jewish people were following, and including the observance of the Sabbath, which we find in verse 14 here, it says in Colossians 2 that Christ blotting out the handwriting of ordinances or laws that was against us, which was contrary to us and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he defeated the devil at the cross you know. It says he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat or in drink or in respect of a holy day or of the new moon or of the Sabbath day, which are a shadow of things to come but the bodies of Christ. All of those things were shadows of future things that would happen that would be fulfilled through Jesus Christ.
And now Jesus Christ has come and He has taken the law that He fulfilled and satisfied that law by His death and shed blood. He then nailed it to His cross and took it out of the way and we’re no longer under the law but we’re under grace. And that doesn’t mean we have license but we have responsibility. and under grace God wants us to live for Him and serve Him from the heart. And not because we are trying to fulfill the letter of the law.
And the law of course could never save because we could never keep it. But as believers now we follow the law of liberty, which is the law of grace. In any case, be careful about tradition. I hear it all the time that you need the Bible plus tradition. That is not true. That is not true. That’s a false statement. Many churches appeal to tradition and say, yes, the Bible says this, But you know we have the church traditions and they go all the way back to the time of Christ and usually they’ve been flawed down through the line of time and many of them contradict the Bible the same thing happened with the Jewish sex the Pharisees the Sadducees and others and Christ said you’ve made the commandment of God of none effect By your tradition you hypocrites.
Well did Isaiah speak about you? You draw near to me with your mouth and your lips, but your heart is far from me, and Christ warned about tradition being a problem. And you need to make sure that if you observe any traditions that they are in line with scripture, or my recommendation is pitch them out and get rid of them. I was shocked at how many things that as I began to read the Bible as a brand new believer that I was taught wrong in my church.
And that’s because I was taught traditions and different things that they had observed over centuries. And these were things that they felt were obligations for Christians to do and perform. And I found out that many times they were completely the opposite of what the Bible taught. And so we have to be careful that we’re not seduced by traditions, but we go back to the Word of God. And Paul warns us here in Colossians, what a great book it is where he not only teaches, but he warns them and it’s because he cared about them and wanted them to grow and to be mature believers that were online on target with God and with God’s Word.
That wraps up today’s question and answer segment. As believers in Jesus, there is no other topic that is more important to us than the gospel of Jesus Christ and it was Dr. Hank Lindstrom’s mission to spread the gospel. Through your prayers and ongoing financial support for Bibleline, you too can help spread the Gospel of Christ throughout the world and reach others with the message of salvation through Jesus. You’ll never find a verse if you’ve been around me who found that out that says an angel ever sang anything. Now notice we have the 24-olders singing in verse 9. They sung a new song, but angels don’t sing. It says, saying with a loud voice. You’ll never find a verse anywhere that says an angel saying anything and yet try to get through Christmas and all the choruses or hymns talk about choruses of angels and how angels sang and heart the herald angels sing.
There’s no reference in the Bible anywhere that an angel ever sang anything. And here you have it again, saying with a loud voice. Can you imagine this huge number of angels, a hundred million plus millions more, sang together in perfect unison, and worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.” Wow, to be there and hear them recite that. It ought to be amazing. A hundred million plus voices of angels saying that, but they didn’t sing it.
And if you think you can find an angel verse that says that they sing, I’d like to see it. You’re not going to find it. So here are the angels, millions of them about the throne, are rejoicing and saying worthy is the lamb. He was the one that’s worthy. He conquered Satan at the cross by being slain and getting victory over death and over the grave and over sin and is the one who redeems us to God by his shed blood, people from every nation, kindred and tongue.
And he is worthy and the angels acknowledge that by saying this in unison together. 13, in every creature which is in heaven and on earth and under the earth and such are in the sea, and all that are in them heard I saying blessing and honor and glory and power be unto him that siteth upon the throne and unto the Lamb forever and ever. So there you have God the Father upon the throne and the Lamb who is the one who is the Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ, who is going to come back and take over this earth away from Satan.
Verse 14 says, in the four living creatures said, Amen. And the four and 20 elders fell down and worshiped Him that liveth forever and ever. Now we’re into chapter six. Now we have the seven seals scroll and Christ now begins to open the scroll and he breaks the first seal and I saw when the lamb opened one of the seals seal number one and I heard as it were the voice of thunder and one of the four living creatures saying come and see if you have a Scofield the words and see are not in the original and Scofield points out that it should read just come come and here Christ opens the first seal what do we see verse two I saw and behold a white horse and he that set upon him had a bow and a crown was given unto him and he went forth conquering and to conquer.
So here we have the Antichrist I believe revealed right after the Rapture. So we see how the way is prepared in heaven Christ takes the title deed to the earth and now immediately as the tribulation period begins we see the counterfeit Christ. Christ comes back in chapter 19 on a white horse the Antichrist will be a counterfeit Christ And I believe it is a picture of him here now. It says he had a bow. It doesn’t mention any arrows.
And so apparently by the threat of the power that he has, nations are shaped and gotten in line. And so here’s a man who rises the power, who’s going to be a very powerful leader and a dictator. And notice a crown was given to him. So he gains power as he moves along here in the tribulation period. And he went forth conquering and to conquer. So here he gains territory. I believe he’ll be the president of the United States when it happens.
I believe he’ll take over Europe militarily. And I believe he’ll take over all the core countries of the Middle East, where all the oil is, and then he’ll plant his palace in Jerusalem as the counterfeit Christ. So we’re already underway. And the West, the United States, has planted its feet in Iraq. And we’re already telling other countries what they need to do. And I believe that we’ll wind up taking over Saudi Arabia and Syria and Lebanon and Israel and Egypt, according to Daniel chapter 11.
I think we’re on the way to see that all take place. Want you to hold your finger here and also place your finger over in Matthew 24. And we’re going to get here an interesting parallel to what we’re studying here in Revelation chapter 6. In verse 4 of Revelation 24 we have Christ unfolding what will take place before He comes back, the same thing that’s being discussed in Revelation 6. And so we believe that in verses 4 through 8 we have the first half of the tribulation described.
We have in verses 9 through 14 the second half of the tribulation described. And if If you follow, we’re going to find that this matches up with the seals that we’re studying in Revelation 6. What do we find under the first seal, a white horse, a counterfeit Christ rising up to take power? What do we read in verse 4? Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you, for many shall come in my name, saying I am Christ and deceive many.
So there will be a number, we’ve already seen some false Christ right now, but there There will be one in particular, the Antichrist, will come on the world seen and be one who will claim that he is Christ and demand to be worshipped. And here is the first seal described to us in verse 5. Let’s look now at chapter 6 of Revelation in verse 3. And when he’d opened the second seal, Christ opens the second seal of the scroll.
And I heard the second living creature say, come. Scoville points out not come and see, but just come. And what happens? And there was another horse that went out that was red. I believe the same rider, the Antichrist now, his color is revealed, power is given to him that sat there on to take peace from the earth and that they should kill one another, and it was given to him a great sword. So the Antichrist comes on promising peace and security to the world, and aren’t we already seeing that?
So I think we’re watching some interesting things take place. Let’s go back to verse 6 of Matthew 24. What do we see next on the schedule? You shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, isn’t that what we see under the second seal? And it says, see that you be not troubled for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. The end being the end of the tribulation period. So once the rapture happens, we’re underway.
And first we have a false Christ coming on the world scene. studied in a Rapture class a few weeks back about how when the Holy Spirit is taken out. According to 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, that then the anacrist will be revealed. When the Holy Spirit goes, we go. And then this wicked man, the man of sin, the man of perdition will be revealed and he rises to power once the tribulation period is underway. Comes on offering peace and security.
But then all of a sudden he becomes a conqueror and here we have it in verse 6. See, you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you be not troubled. All these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. Not the end of the world, but the end of the tribulation period. And so the tribulation period will end and then Christ will be back to rule and reign on the earth. And that’s the answer to the question being asked here.
What shall be the sign of thy coming? Well, he outlines exactly what we see outlined in the book of Revelation. It says in verse 7, nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. The word translated nation has to do with our ethnic groups. And look at what’s happening in the world today where there is ethnic group against ethnic group and it’s seemingly getting worse all the time. Some dictators in countries have tried to do ethnic cleansing and get rid of certain undesirable in their minds races.
People that God loved and Christ died for that are certainly welcome to come and be saved, whoever will can come and receive God’s salvation. But today we have the wars that are going on between the different ethnic groups. Isn’t that amazing? The Bible would describe that. And then also, kingdom against kingdom which speaks of the different countries that would come in conflict with one another. Exact to the same thing that we read about, I believe over here, under the second seal.
Let’s go back to Revelation 6 and in verse 5. When Christ had opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, come. and say come and seize, go fill points out again in the margin, we should read just come. And I beheld in loa black horse, again the same antichrist as the rider, but I say a black horse and he didn’t set on him, had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures say a measure of wheat for a penny.

Of course, if you paid for it, it would be held that Christ has made that payment, and unless you trust in the payment that He made for you, you will not be saved. That’s what the Gospel message is all about. You’re safe when you trust. T-R-U-S-T, T-R-U-S-T, trust in the death, the burial, the resurrection of Christ.
It’s through the blood of Christ that we’re saved. And when you trust Christ as the only hope or means of your salvation, then God saves us. You know, it tells us in the Colossians chapter 1 that when we trust Jesus Christ as our Savior, When we believe the gospel message, it says in verse 13 that he delivers us from the power of darkness and translates us into the kingdom of his dear son. Verse 14 in whom that is his dear son, Jesus, we have redemption through his blood, through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
The devil is clever today and he wants us to bypass the blood, bypass the cross and not recognize that you have to trust in his death and shed blood as the means of your redemption. It’s a book of the blood. And the Bible says in Revelation 1, 5, unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. It was the blood of Christ that washed away our sin. And unless you trust in Christ’s death and shed blood, you will not be saved.
Wherever you look the Bible is clear to teach that his blood was the means by whichUrl we are redeemed. And when you trust in his blood and it was shed for you, then you are saved. Let me read Romans 5-8. It says, God commended his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Verse 9 says much more than being now justified by his blood, by his blood, by his blood, By His blood we shall be raised or saved rather from wrath through Him.
So it’s through His blood that we are redeemed, and only through the blood of Christ can you have your sins washed away. The hymn writer got it right when he said, what can wash away my sins? The answer being nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Today we bypass the blood, we bypass the cross, and we just say, invite Jesus into your heart. Well guess what, I did that for the first 18 years of my life, every Sunday I invited Christ into my heart.
And I was never saved. It wasn’t until I was 18 that I realized that this was wrong when I heard the gospel explained that I had the trust that Jesus died for me and shed his blood for me on the cross and then was buried in rose again from the dead and that if I would trust that he made that payment for my sin, that then that payment would count for me and I would be saved and I would have eternal life.
But if you bypass the death, the shed blood, the burial, the resurrection of Christ, my friend, you cannot be saved. And yet many, many tracts. If you look at the tracts that are out there, 90% of them are wrong. And you usually see that in the last paragraph, it might be a wonderful tract until you get the actual prayer or invitation where it changes it to a false gospel and the Bible says in Galatians 1, 8, and 9 that we just read, then it becomes an accursed message and there actually comes a curse on the one who delivers that cursed message because as soon as you pervert the true gospel of Christ by adding some other condition for salvation.
It’s perverted and accursed and God obviously tells us that the gospel of Christ is made of none effect, none effect. I heard the false gospel for eighteen years until I finally trusted in the death of the burial resurrection of Christ as the means of my salvation. I’m Dr. Inglens from Mrs. Bibleline.
